Amen. 02:23 It's a blessing to be a part of this program, always. 02:25 And to be able to give true clear Bible answers 02:29 straight from the Word of God. 02:30 Amen, amen. 02:31 And then my dear brother, Jason Bradley, 02:33 I feel like you're a son, Jay, 02:35 but you are the general manager of 3ABN Dare to Dream. 02:40 Yes. And it's so great to be here. 02:42 I love these questions that come in 02:44 because really I study it out. 02:46 I learn, I grow, and I'm excited about that. 02:48 Amen. 02:49 And the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15, 02:54 "Study to show yourself approved." 02:56 So that's kind of one of our texts that goes. 02:59 What would you say as an anchor text 03:00 for this program. 03:02 Sure. 03:03 And then we have our dear pastor John Dinzey, 03:06 who is the general manager for 3ABN Latino. 03:11 Thank you. It's a privilege to be here. 03:13 We will be speaking in English today. 03:15 Amen. Thank you for... 03:17 You know, I'm so amazed at people like you and Idalia 03:22 who are so fluent in both the language, 03:24 in two languages. 03:25 We do our best. 03:27 If you're from Texas, I always say, 03:29 if you're from Texas and you speak English, 03:31 that makes you bilingual 03:32 'cause Texas have the language of their own. 03:34 That's true. 03:36 All right. 03:37 Johnny, would you like to have a prayer for this program? 03:39 Sure. 03:41 Let's go to the Lord in prayer. 03:42 Our loving heavenly Father, 03:45 we rejoice to know that You love us. 03:47 We rejoice to know 03:48 that You have a plan of salvation. 03:50 And we thank You 03:52 that the door of mercy is still open. 03:54 And heavenly Father, we need light from heaven. 03:57 We need Your Holy Spirit to bring the message 04:01 that You have for Your children. 04:02 We pray that You will bless us with Your Holy Spirit 04:04 and also bless everyone 04:06 that is seeking for understanding 04:08 to receive light from heaven 04:10 as we study the questions and verses 04:13 that we will be sharing. 04:14 We ask You for these things 04:16 in the holy and blessed name of Jesus. 04:17 Amen. 04:19 Amen. Amen. 04:20 I just want to take a moment to explain, 04:21 because occasionally we get an email. 04:23 Somebody says, well, why didn't they spend more time 04:26 giving us more Bible references? 04:29 Each one of these panelists has five questions. 04:32 That's our format. 04:34 So they each get two minutes per question, 04:36 with the exception of one question, 04:38 we give them a bonus minute. 04:40 But if you would like to find deeper understanding, 04:46 you can go to 3abnPlus.tv 04:50 and you will find videos, sermons 04:53 of that will cover this in great detail. 04:56 So we just encourage you to do that. 04:59 And here's a great question to start with, 05:02 because this is one of the most important things 05:05 in the Christian life. 05:07 And that is, "How do we get the gift of the Holy Spirit," 05:11 Ryan? All right. Yeah. 05:12 That's a great question. 05:14 I'm glad whoever submitted that question 05:15 gave this question to us 'cause it's a good one. 05:18 You know, first I wanna say, I believe that every person, 05:21 it doesn't matter whether they're a sinner 05:23 or an unrepentant sinner or a person 05:26 who's in relationship with Christ. 05:27 I believe the Holy Spirit works on everyone. 05:30 I believe the Holy Spirit works on us, 05:32 convicts us and try to lead us to Christ at all times. 05:35 But I believe that the nature of this question is asking, 05:37 how do we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, 05:40 so that the Holy Spirit not only works on us, 05:42 but works in us and through us. 05:44 And the text that comes to my mind, 05:46 of course, comes from Acts Chapter 2, 05:49 specifically verse 38. 05:51 Peter had just preached a powerful sermon 05:53 to the Jewish people there on the day of Pentecost. 05:55 And the Bible says they were cut to the heart. 05:57 And so they asked him what must we do? 06:00 And his response, Acts 2:38. 06:02 The Bible says, it says, "Then Peter said to them, 06:04 'Repent and let every one of you be baptized 06:07 in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ 06:08 for the remission of your sins. 06:10 And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.'" 06:14 So the precursor to receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, 06:17 again, to work through us and to work in us 06:20 and through us is we must repent. 06:23 That is confession and repentance 06:24 is involved in this. 06:26 If you wanna receive the Holy Spirit to work in you 06:28 and through you, 06:29 then you must repent of your sins. 06:30 And, of course, another good question 06:32 for someone to submit would be, what is true repentance? 06:35 But I'll give you a quick answer real quick. 06:36 And that is, it's a sorrowing thought 06:39 and a turning away from sin. 06:41 If we're gonna truly repent, 06:42 we have to have that sorrowing heart, 06:44 that desire for God to cleanse us 06:46 and to save us from our sin. 06:48 And so in order for the Holy Spirit 06:50 to work in us and through us, 06:51 for us to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, 06:53 we must be repentant 06:55 and, of course, be baptized and follow 06:57 the commands of Jesus. 06:58 Another great chapter to read, 07:00 don't have enough time to go through it right now. 07:01 But John Chapter 3, that great conversation 07:04 between Jesus and Nicodemus. 07:06 Jesus tells him about the Holy Spirit, 07:08 how he makes a differentiation 07:09 between the flesh and the spirit. 07:11 And he says, the spirit is somewhat like the wind. 07:13 It comes and goes and it comes here and there. 07:15 But yet we know there's a time 07:16 in which we can receive the Holy Spirit, 07:18 but it's dependent on John 3:14-15. 07:22 He says, "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, 07:24 so we must also the... 07:27 Also the Son of man must be lifted up." 07:29 So as we uplift Jesus, the Holy Spirit will work in us 07:32 and through us in our life. 07:34 Amen and amen. 07:35 And you know, I just want to encourage you 07:36 when you're praying, 07:38 pray for the gift of repentance, 07:39 because Acts 5:31 says 07:41 that God gave us Jesus to grant us repentance. 07:45 So it helps me to pray for the gift of repentance, 07:48 because I can't even do that by myself. 07:51 Johnny, let's go to you. 07:52 This is an interesting question. 07:54 This is from Andy in West Salem and says, 07:58 "How far do you think God will allow man 08:00 to go into space?" 08:03 God stopped the tower of Babel 08:05 and now man claims to have gone to Mars. 08:10 That is a good question. 08:12 And since this is a Bible answer program, 08:16 I have to tell you that the Bible 08:17 doesn't specifically say that the Lord has say, 08:21 well, I'll let them go to Mars and not beyond that. 08:25 However, I do wanna say something 08:27 about the tower of Babel, the tower of Babel, 08:31 the Lord destroyed that plan, that project, 08:34 because God had told them 08:37 that He will not destroy the earth with a flood. 08:41 And the project was to build a tower 08:43 so high 08:44 that in case the Lord changed His mind, 08:46 we are gonna go climb on this tower and be safe. 08:49 So the Lord had to destroy the tower Babel 08:53 and besides the Lord wanted them 08:55 to spread throughout the earth 08:56 and they were remaining in one place. 08:58 Now concerning this, 08:59 there is a scripture that is very interesting, 09:01 that I would like for you to consider. 09:03 And that is found in Job Chapter 12. 09:09 Let's see, it says Job Chapter 12, 09:10 is it verse 5? 09:12 Yes, no, no, no. 09:13 Just a moment here. 09:15 I found it over here 09:16 and we're gonna share that 14:5, it says here. 09:19 Job Chapter 14? 09:21 Chapter 14:5. 09:22 Chapter 14. 09:24 I'm gonna read verse 4 as well. 09:25 It says here, 09:26 "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? 09:28 No one, since his days are determined, 09:31 the number of his months is with you, 09:36 you have appointed his limits so that he cannot pass.'' 09:40 So perhaps the Lord has in His mind 09:44 that a man can travel so far and not beyond that. 09:49 If the Lord desires to stop man, He will. 09:52 There's no... 09:54 Nothing can limit God. 09:56 There is a scripture also that I wanna read with you 09:58 perhaps may fit into this In 1 Timothy 6:16 10:02 concerning God, it says, 10:03 "Who alone has immortality 10:05 dwelling in inapproachable light 10:07 whom no man has seen or can see, 10:10 to whom be honor and everlasting power. 10:12 Amen." 10:14 So He dwells in inapproachable light. 10:16 So to get to where God is, man can't do it. 10:19 Amen, amen. 10:21 Amen, good answer. 10:23 All right, Jay, can you please, 10:26 this question is from Raquel in Jamaica. 10:29 Thank you, Raquel. 10:31 "Can you please explain Matthew 10:34-36?" 10:36 Sure thing. Hi, Raquel, first off. 10:40 One thing for us to consider as we dive into this passages 10:43 that there's a war going on between good and evil, 10:46 between God and Satan. 10:48 And unfortunately, some people 10:50 choose to serve the devil whether directly or indirectly. 10:54 So let's read Matthew 10:34-36, 10:59 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth." 11:03 If you look at our earth, it's in a sinful state, 11:06 it's a sinful world. 11:08 "I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 11:11 For I have come to set a man against his father, 11:16 a daughter against her mother, 11:17 and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law 11:20 and a man's enemies will be those of his own household." 11:25 Hebrews 4:12-13 says this, 11:30 ''For the word of God is living and powerful 11:33 and sharper than any two-edge sword 11:35 piercing even to the division of soul and spirit 11:40 and of joints and marrow, 11:43 and is a discerner of the thoughts 11:46 and intents of the heart. 11:48 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, 11:50 but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him 11:54 to whom we must give account. 11:56 The peace that God brings is between man and God." 12:01 Isaiah 26:3 says, 12:04 "You will keep Him in perfect peace 12:07 whose mind is stayed on you because He trusts in you." 12:11 And Romans 5:1 says, 12:14 "Therefore having been justified by faith, 12:17 we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." 12:22 We see examples of Matthew 10:34-36 12:27 being played out today. 12:29 If you stand firm on the principles 12:31 that are found in God's Word, 12:34 I guarantee you're gonna have some kind of enemies 12:37 because we seem to be living in a society 12:39 that appreciates enablers more than people 12:44 that will correct wrongdoing or stand up 12:47 and stand firm on principle. 12:49 And so all you have to do is look around you 12:52 and you will see Matthew 10:34-36 playing out. 12:57 Amen. 12:58 So truth does bring division, right? 13:01 Sure, sure. 13:02 It's to bring division between good and evil. 13:05 And we thank you for that question. 13:07 Once again, if you would like to submit a question 13:09 for our consideration, 13:11 you can text that to (618) 228-39 75, 13:17 or you can email us 13:20 3abnQA@3abn... 13:26 Let me start that over. 13:27 Email us at- BibleQA@3abn.org 13:33 I'll get that. 13:35 All right. 13:36 Johnny, this is from Octavia 13:40 in Trinidad and Tobago. 13:43 "I've heard different interpretations 13:46 of this occurrence. 13:48 What exactly did Ham do wrong? 13:51 Noah was drunk and uncovered in his tent. 13:54 Ham saw him and told his brothers 13:56 and they went backwards and covered him. 13:58 The interpretation of this 14:00 by some people is disturbing me. 14:02 Can you clarify for me?" 14:06 I thank you for this question and I am not sure 14:10 if this question is very similar to one 14:14 that came in many, many years ago here at 3ABN. 14:17 And I have to be very careful how I express this 14:20 because I don't want to be disrespectful 14:23 because the person that called was a black gentleman 14:27 and he was very upset because in his denomination 14:31 they told him he was cursed because he was black. 14:34 And justification according to them 14:37 was because of this passage 14:40 that is in the Bible because of what Ham did. 14:44 I want to say to you that the Bible does not say 14:47 that the black community 14:51 or those of dark color like this are cursed 14:56 and they're gonna be slaves. 14:58 And unfortunately, some people have used this 15:00 to justify slavery, 15:01 which is not justifiable in this way in the Bible. 15:06 Now let's look at Genesis Chapter 9 15:09 and see what actually happened here. 15:14 In Genesis Chapter 9, what happened here 15:18 is that Ham entered the tent where Noah was, 15:21 and he was naked there. 15:23 And apparently, 15:25 he did something that was shameful. 15:27 He told his brothers and perhaps was making fun 15:30 of his father's appearance. 15:32 And now it says in verse 20, Genesis 9:20, 15:38 "And Noah began to be a farmer, and he planted a vineyard. 15:41 Then he drank of the wine and was drunk 15:44 and became uncovered in his tent. 15:45 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father 15:49 and told his two brothers. 15:51 But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it 15:54 on both their shoulders and went backward and covered 15:57 the nakedness of their father. 15:58 Their faces were turned away, and they did not see 16:01 their father's nakedness." 16:02 So verse 24 and 25. 16:05 "So Noah awoke from his wine, 16:07 and knew what his younger son had done to him." 16:10 Then he said, "Curse be Canaan became, 16:12 a servant of servants he shall be to his brethren." 16:15 And so this is all the Bible says. 16:17 So I tell you, the Bible does not say, 16:20 and I'm not sure if this is what your concern 16:21 is that this is why you're upset. 16:23 It does not say 16:24 that the black people are cursed and they have... 16:28 This gentleman says I can only advance so far 16:30 in the church because they say I'm cursed. 16:32 You're not cursed. 16:34 God loves you. 16:35 And the fact that it says that John 3:16, 16:37 "For God, so loved the world 16:39 that He gave His only begotten Son 16:40 that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, 16:43 but have everlasting life." 16:44 According to God in Galatians 3:28, He says, 16:47 There is neither Jew nor Greek. 16:48 There's neither bond nor free. 16:50 There's neither male nor female, 16:51 for you are all one in Christ." 16:53 And I praise the Lord for that. 16:55 And so I say to you, 16:57 trust in the Lord with all your heart. 17:00 And by the way, Acts 17:26, one more. 17:03 And it says, "And God has made of one blood all nations of men 17:08 for to dwell on all the face of the earth, 17:10 and has determined the times before appointed 17:12 and the bounds of their habitations." 17:14 God loves you. 17:15 And this idea is not correct. 17:19 Amen. 17:20 I think of the Ethiopian eunuch, right? 17:21 In Acts Chapter 8, right? 17:23 That's right. 17:24 The Holy Spirit sent Philip to him. 17:25 That's right. Exactly. 17:27 That's a powerful point. 17:28 Great, great, great message. 17:29 All right, Ryan. 17:31 Yes, ma'am. 17:32 This is an interesting question. 17:34 I'm not sure, it's from Debbie, 17:35 but I don't know where she lives. 17:37 She said, 17:38 "Why do we hear of pastors committing murder? 17:42 Can evil really seep into pastors? 17:45 This seems more common nowadays. 17:47 How do we trust anyone, any denominations? 17:51 It seems that we can only trust Christ alone." 17:55 Absolutely. 17:56 You know, I completely understand 17:58 where this person is coming from 17:59 as far as the nature of the question. 18:00 As far as pastors committing murder, 18:03 I'm not saying that that hasn't happened. 18:04 Perhaps maybe it has in certain parts of the world, 18:07 but the truth of the matter is we have to be reminded 18:09 that Jesus made it very clear in Matthew Chapter 13, 18:11 that there are sheep and there are goats. 18:13 There are wheat and tares in the church. 18:16 And so our pastors, you know, pastors are men, 18:18 are they incapable of being affected 18:21 by the temptations and the wiles of the devil? 18:26 Obviously not. 18:27 And we have to understand here that you're absolutely right. 18:30 We first and foremost need to put Christ in our view, 18:33 we need to trust Christ 18:35 before we can trust anyone else. 18:36 Christ is the true shepherd. 18:38 However, I would say 18:39 that that does not necessarily mean that all men, 18:41 all pastors are untrustworthy. 18:43 I believe that there are true genuine 18:46 spirit led pastors out there 18:47 that we certainly can trust in a sense to give us 18:50 spiritual guidance and counsel 18:52 and help be there for us 18:53 and lead us in the way of the Lord. 18:55 Now, to answer the question, 18:56 you said can evil really seep into pastors? 18:58 Absolutely. 19:00 In fact, there are multiple passages 19:01 throughout all of Scripture, 19:02 some of which 19:04 I'm not gonna have the time to read, 19:05 but you know, a couple of passages 19:07 to come to my mind, Acts 20:28-31. 19:10 Paul is talking to the elders in the church there of Ephesus. 19:14 And he says to them, he says, "For I know this, 19:16 that after my departure 19:17 savage wolves will come in among you, 19:19 not sparing the flock. 19:21 Also from among yourselves 19:22 men will rise up, speaking perverse things, 19:24 to draw away the disciples after themselves. 19:27 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years 19:29 I did not cease to warn everyone 19:31 night and day with tears." 19:32 So was this an issue? 19:34 Of course, because again, where there's wheat, 19:36 there are tares. 19:37 Even Jesus said in Matthew 7:15-16, 19:40 "Beware of false prophets 19:42 who come to you in sheep's clothing." 19:43 But in really they are ravenous wolves. 19:45 And this is what he says. 19:46 He says, ''You shall know them by their fruits." 19:49 How can you know if a pastor is genuine? 19:52 Spend some time around him, 19:53 and if you spend some genuine good time 19:55 around this brother, 19:56 you will know, 19:58 you will know him by his fruits, 19:59 whether or not he is led by the Spirit of God or not. 20:01 And, of course, another passage I wish, again, 20:03 we don't have time to read all of it. 20:04 But Ezekiel 22:25-28, 20:08 where God Himself was rebuking Israel 20:11 and the leaders of Israel, 20:12 and He even talks about the priest, 20:14 the priest of the day, he goes on to say her priest, 20:17 speaking of Israel, the house of Israel, 20:19 "Her priest had violated my law and profane my holy things. 20:23 They have not distinguished between the holy 20:25 and the unholy, nor have they made, 20:26 known the difference between the unclean 20:28 and the clean. 20:29 And they have hidden their eyes from my Sabbaths 20:32 so that I am profaned among them. 20:33 Her princes in her midst are like wolves tearing 20:36 the prey to shed blood, okay, 20:38 to destroy people and to get dishonest gain. 20:41 Her prophets plastered them with untempered mortar, 20:44 seeing false visions, and divining lies for them, 20:46 saying, 'Thus saith the Lord God,' 20:48 when the Lord had not spoken.'" 20:50 So is it possible 20:51 that there are some bad pastors out there 20:54 that are not being led by the Spirit of God? 20:56 Of course, you shall not put your trust in man. 20:59 Always put your trust in God. 21:00 But if there is a good pastor out there, 21:03 a good man that you can trust, 21:04 the Bible says you shall either way know them 21:07 by their fruits. 21:08 Amen. Excellent, excellent answer. 21:11 I didn't know you could talk that fast. 21:15 Jay, we have a question for you from Mary Ann and she asks, 21:21 "What does glory mean? 21:23 If I'm to glorify God, what do I do?" 21:26 Wow. 21:28 Well, Mary Anne, 21:29 unfortunately the time does not permit 21:31 for a long answer, 21:33 but I will share a few things with you. 21:36 One, God's glory indicates His presence 21:38 as well as His value. 21:40 Let's look at Exodus 33:22, 21:44 "So it shall be while my glory passes by that, 21:48 I will put you in the cleft of the rock 21:50 and will cover you with my hand while I pass by." 21:54 Now, let's take a look at some ways 21:56 that we can glorify God. 21:59 Psalm 86:12, "I will praise you, 22:03 O Lord, my God with all my heart 22:06 and I will glorify Your name forevermore." 22:08 So we should praise the Lord. 22:10 Give Him thanks forever more. 22:14 Psalm 96:1-3, 22:17 "Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! 22:20 Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 22:23 Sing to the Lord, bless His name, 22:25 proclaim the good news of His salvation 22:27 from day to day. 22:29 Declare His glory among the nations, 22:31 his wonders among all people." 22:34 So we should share Christ with everybody 22:37 and what He's done for us in our lives. 22:41 Colossians 3:17, 22:44 "And whatever you do in word or deed, 22:47 do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, 22:49 giving thanks to God the Father through Him." 22:52 Continue to give Him thanks. 22:54 Matthew 28:18-20, 22:57 "And Jesus came and spoke to them, 22:59 saying, 'All authority has been given to Me 23:02 in heaven and on earth. 23:03 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, 23:07 baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son 23:10 and of the Holy Spirit, 23:12 teaching them to observe all things 23:14 that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, 23:17 even to the end of the age.'" 23:19 Amen. 23:21 So as Pop or Danny Shelton always says, 23:24 the blessing is on the go. 23:26 And I'll end with this verse, 1 Peter 4:10 says, 23:30 "As each one has received a gift, 23:33 minister it to one another as good stewards 23:36 of the manifold grace of God." 23:38 Use your gifts for His honor and glory. 23:42 Amen. Amen. 23:44 Very good. 23:45 John Dinzey? 23:47 This is from Karlina in Texas and Karlina, 23:51 we thank you for this question. 23:53 She says, "I keep hearing people say 23:56 that Satan is going to manifest himself 23:59 in his true identity 24:02 as he was created in the end times. 24:06 I can't find anywhere in the Bible 24:08 to support if this is true." 24:11 That is a good question. 24:13 Especially since you're hearing other people 24:15 saying this very thing. 24:19 If I stick to the Bible, 24:22 I have to bring it to 2 Corinthians 11:14, 24:26 and it says, "And no wonder for Satan himself 24:30 transforms himself 24:34 into an angel of light." 24:39 Several thousand years have passed since he sinned. 24:41 I believe he has lost some of his brilliance, 24:45 but he still has brilliance, I would say. 24:47 And he can transform himself into an angel of light 24:51 to deceive, for the purpose of deceiving people. 24:55 And so, yeah, this is what we can bring to you, 24:58 but will he manifest himself as an angel of light to say, 25:02 I am Lucifer, and this is the way I was? 25:04 Or is he gonna manifest himself as an angel of light 25:07 to just to deceive people? 25:08 This is more of a possibility. 25:10 In addition to that, we have in Matthew 24:23-24, 25:16 and in other places there in Matthew 24. 25:20 Notice what Jesus says. 25:22 "Then if anyone says to you, look here is the Christ 25:25 or there, do not believe it, for false Christs 25:29 and false prophets will rise and show great signs 25:33 and wonders to deceive if possible even the elect." 25:37 So I would not put it past the devil 25:40 that he would even try to appear as Christ 25:44 to deceive if possible even the very elect, 25:47 even to perform miracles 25:49 for the purpose of deceiving people. 25:52 Even to say the words that Christ said, 25:55 blessed are the pure in heart and then change, 25:58 twist the Scripture such as he did 26:00 when he was tempting Christ. 26:01 So our part is to stay close to the Lord, 26:04 trust in Him with all of our hearts, 26:07 asking Him to be our light and our guide. 26:10 So when temptations and deceptions come, 26:13 we will know what is the truth. 26:15 Amen. 26:16 Amen and amen. 26:17 You know I just want to remind you 26:19 that you can always go to 3abnPlus.tv 26:24 and look these programs up 'cause sometimes I know 26:28 if you're like me, I'm trying to sit here, 26:30 writing down everything, 26:31 all the scriptures you're giving 26:33 and we don't always get them, but you can watch 26:35 the video presentation and the deposit to get that. 26:39 A great follow up question to that, Ryan, 26:41 is from Faith in Chattanooga, Tennessee. 26:46 "Will we meet Jesus in the air or on this earth?" 26:51 Hmm. Amen. 26:52 Thank you, Faith, for that question. 26:54 If I'm understanding your question correctly, 26:56 the nature of your question, 26:58 I think it's in connection with the second coming of Jesus 27:00 or the return of Christ. 27:01 And so to answer that appropriately, 27:03 the Bible is overwhelmingly clear 27:05 that when Christ returns we will meet Him in the air. 27:09 In fact, the Bible makes it very clear 27:10 that when He returns, 27:12 His feet will not even touch the earth. 27:14 And so where do we get this from? 27:15 I'm gonna to start in Matthew 24:31. 27:18 The Bible makes it very clear. 27:20 It says, "And He will send His angels, speaking of Christ, 27:22 Christ will send His angels with a great sign of a trumpet. 27:25 And they will gather together His elect 27:27 from the four winds 27:28 from one end of heaven to the other." 27:30 And then now tie that with 1 Thessalonians 4:17, 27:34 it says, "Then we who are alive and remain 27:37 shall be caught up together with them in the clouds 27:41 to meet the Lord in the air. 27:43 And thus we shall always be with the Lord." 27:47 So depending on what you believe, 27:49 as far as the return of Christ, again, there's this, 27:52 in my opinion, this false, 27:53 very popular pre-tribulation rapture theory 27:56 out there that says, well at the rapture, 27:58 you know, Christ is going to take 28:00 the saints to heaven. 28:02 And then seven years later, 28:03 after the seven years of tribulation, 28:05 He's gonna return back 28:07 and then there's gonna be these thousand years of peace. 28:08 Well, the Bible does indefinitely speak 28:10 of a thousand year millennium 28:12 or a thousand year peace period. 28:14 But that thousand year peace period 28:16 immediately begins at the return of Christ. 28:19 And there's only one return of Christ 28:21 to come back and get His people. 28:23 There's not a pre-tribulation rapture 28:25 and then seven years later, a second coming 28:27 as many popular evangelical denominations 28:30 teach today. 28:31 So to be very candid, 28:32 to be very transparent and clear about this, 28:34 the Bible makes it clear that when Christ returns 28:36 to this earth to get His people 28:38 that will mark the beginning of a thousand year peace period 28:41 in which we are all, we will meet Him in the air 28:43 and He will carry us off to the kingdom of heaven, 28:46 where we will remain there a thousand years. 28:48 And then at the end of the thousand years, 28:50 and maybe another question 28:51 about the thousand year millennium. 28:52 At the end of the thousand years, 28:54 Christ will then come back and His kingdom will be here 28:57 on a new earth eventually. 28:58 Amen. 29:00 We need to do a Bible program on that for hour. 29:02 Yeah, absolutely. 29:03 That's a great... The distilled answer for that. 29:08 Jay, this one is from John Terreace 29:12 in Tennessee, 29:14 and he says, "How will God judge 29:17 those who have special needs?" 29:20 Awesome question, John Terreace. 29:22 I've been shown a revolutionary view 29:25 on scriptures that I have been reading. 29:28 And so I wanna share that with you right now. 29:30 So if you look at 2 Corinthians 8:12, 29:36 go there. 29:38 But as you're turning there, basically, 29:40 you know, some have what others don't have. 29:44 And the question is, does God know that? 29:47 The answer is yes. 29:48 So will some be judged for what they don't have 29:51 or will they be judged for what they cannot do? 29:57 2 Corinthians 8:12, 29:59 "For if there is first a willing mind, 30:02 it is accepted according to what one has 30:05 and not according to what he does not have." 30:09 The key is they are willing. 30:11 So the spirit indeed is willing, but what's lacking? 30:15 The flesh is weak. 30:17 Mark 14:38, 30:20 "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. 30:23 The spirit is indeed willing... 30:26 Indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." 30:29 Now, 2 Corinthians 12:9, "And He said to me, 30:33 'My grace is sufficient for you. 30:35 For my strength is made perfect in weakness. 30:39 Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast 30:41 in my infirmities 30:44 that the power of Christ may rest upon me.'" 30:47 Why is His strength made perfect in our weakness? 30:50 Hebrews 4:15, 30:53 "For we do not have a high priest 30:55 who cannot sympathize with our weakness... 30:58 Weaknesses, but was in all points tempted 31:01 as we are yet without sin." 31:04 Isaiah 1:19, 31:07 "If you are willing and obedient, 31:09 you shall eat the good of the land." 31:12 It all comes back to the point of willingness. 31:15 Those with special needs, 31:17 as long as they have a willing heart, 31:18 the Lord will make up the difference 31:21 in their willingness. 31:22 If they are obedient, 31:24 they will benefit from the promise 31:26 that the Lord has made. 31:27 The Lord is not looking to those who are just able, 31:31 but He treasures those 31:33 who without full abilities are willing. 31:37 Amen. 31:39 You know, you just think about, 31:40 if you're the parent of a special child... 31:42 A special needs child, 31:44 you discipline and understand that child in a different way. 31:50 And if you can do that, 31:51 think how much more loving our heavenly Father can. 31:54 All right, John Dinzey, 31:57 this one comes from Karlina in Texas, 32:01 and we've just done Karlina in Texas. 32:03 Let me give you one from Judy. 32:06 She says, "I know Jesus is not a created being, 32:10 but in Colossians 1:15, 32:13 the apostle writes 32:14 the firstborn of every creature. 32:17 Please explain what is meant by firstborn 32:22 in this passage?" 32:23 All right. 32:25 Yes, it does say in Colossians 1:15, 32:28 that Jesus is the firstborn of every creature. 32:32 I wish I had more time for this question. 32:33 Amen. 32:35 Because when you're talking about Jesus, 32:36 you want to say all the marvelous thing. 32:38 He is God having no beginning of days, 32:44 He has a life that is not borrowed. 32:50 He is God. 32:51 John 1:1-3, "In the beginning was the Word, 32:54 and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 32:57 He was in the beginning with God. 32:58 All things were made through Him and without Him 33:03 was not made... wasn't... 33:05 Nothing was made that was made." 33:07 And it says in verse 14, 33:09 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. 33:11 And we beheld His glory, 33:13 the glory as of the only begotten of the Father 33:16 full of grace and truth." 33:17 So what does it mean 33:19 that He is the firstborn of every creature? 33:20 It is because of His status as God, 33:25 Him being God that He has preeminence. 33:28 And He's first in the rank, 33:29 not that He's the firstborn or the first, 33:33 first one to be created, 33:35 the first creature created. 33:36 No, He is not a creature. 33:38 He is God. 33:39 And so this idea that some have been teaching, 33:43 there is even a denomination 33:44 that has messed around with the scriptures 33:47 and tried to change what the Bible says 33:49 and kind of puts... 33:51 It says that He is God and puts a little g, 33:54 great mistake because God is God. 33:58 And I don't know how to emphasize that. 34:02 I'm telling you that He is not a created being. 34:06 He is not a creature. 34:09 He's God. 34:10 He made all things, and without Him 34:11 was not anything made that was made. 34:14 Amen. 34:15 So this word firstborn simply means 34:19 firstborn of every creature simply means 34:21 His rank is above every other. 34:24 Amen and amen. 34:26 And I just wanted to add to that, Judy, 34:27 that firstborn is a covenant term. 34:31 If you look at Exodus 4:22, 34:35 God calls Israel His firstborn son. 34:40 It's a covenant term, meaning preeminence, amen. 34:43 I can't keep my mouth shut. 34:46 Okay, Jay, "How does one find peace 34:50 when once little children are taken from Jesus' influence 34:55 into the enemy's influence? 34:57 That's hard. 34:59 How do we let go and let God?" 35:01 Well, this is a question that I would imagine 35:03 a lot of people have. 35:04 So let's consider the following scriptures. 35:08 Proverbs 22:6, 35:10 "Train up a child in the way he should go. 35:12 And when he is old, he will not depart from it." 35:16 Now the kid might stumble. 35:18 He might walk away for a minute, 35:21 but hey, I did that for 14 years 35:24 and God brought me back. 35:27 And I praise Him for that and a praying mom. 35:30 Isaiah 49:25. 35:33 It says, "But thus says the Lord, 35:35 even the captives 35:37 of the mighty shall be taken away 35:38 and the prey of the terrible be delivered, 35:41 for I will contend with Him who contends with you. 35:44 And I will save your children." 35:47 Claim that, claim that, claim that, Romans 5:6-8, 35:53 "For when we were still without strength, 35:55 in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 35:58 For scarcely 35:59 for a righteous man will one die, 36:01 yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 36:06 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, 36:08 in that while we were still sinners, 36:10 Christ died for us." 36:12 You should find great peace in knowing 36:14 that God wants to save your child 36:17 more than you want your child to be saved. 36:19 Amen. 36:21 Continue to pray for your child, 36:22 continue to love your child and live your faith 36:26 as a powerful witness to your child. 36:30 It speaks volumes. 36:32 Amen. 36:33 Wonderful answer, right? 36:34 I love to watch how you are growing in wisdom 36:38 and in stature with the Lord. 36:40 All right, Ryan, 36:42 I'm actually with you all's permission. 36:44 I'm gonna give you two questions in a row. 36:47 We'll take them one at a time, 36:48 but they're kind of are connected. 36:50 So this question is from Asha 36:56 in Trinidad and Tobago. 36:58 Yes, Asha. Asha. 37:01 Okay. 37:03 "Is Christ and God the Father one and the same? 37:07 Jesus ascended into heaven and is now seated 37:11 at the right hand of the Father. 37:13 I am confused?" 37:15 Okay. 37:16 This is a great, great, great question. 37:17 I appreciate you asking this Asha. 37:19 You know, the answer to this is yes and no because yes, 37:24 the Father and the Son are one and the same in the sense 37:28 that they have this, they share the same character traits. 37:31 They share the same goals, the same purpose, 37:34 the same agenda, etcetera. 37:37 They are one and the same when it comes to character 37:41 and so absolutely. 37:42 Now in the physical literal sense, 37:45 no, they are two distinct individuals. 37:47 And I think that's kind of where 37:48 your question was coming from. 37:51 I kind of can understand this question 37:53 because I grew up in a Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal faith 37:56 for more than 22 years of my life. 37:58 I believed that Jesus Christ was God the Father, 38:00 He was God the Son, He was, you know, God the Holy Spirit. 38:02 That's what I was taught. 38:04 And so, yes, when you hear someone say 38:06 you know that they are one being, 38:09 but yet you read certain scriptures 38:10 that makes it clear that it seems like there's two, 38:12 like He's sitting at the right hand of the Father. 38:14 Yes, they are one in character, but they are not the same. 38:18 Here's a few scriptures to support this. 38:19 First of all, go look at the vision that Daniel saw 38:21 in Daniel Chapter 7. 38:23 He sees the Ancient of Days seated on the throne 38:26 and there's a judgment scene there. 38:27 It's very clear that the Ancient of Days seated 38:29 there is God the Father. 38:31 How do we know that? 38:32 Because a few scriptures later, the Bible says 38:34 that the Son of man is seen coming in the clouds 38:37 and He approaches the Ancient of Days 38:40 who is seated on the throne. 38:41 So there's no doubt there. 38:42 You see the Father, you see the Son, 38:44 two distinct individuals there. 38:46 Also at the baptism of Jesus, right? 38:48 Jesus is baptized. 38:49 And what did, you know, the people hear 38:51 and even Christ hear, coming from the heavens, 38:53 this is My Son. 38:54 This is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. 38:57 You know, God's not the author of confusion. 38:58 And I believe that at that very moment, 39:00 we can take that literal in the sense 39:01 that the Father's voice was heard from heaven, 39:04 declaring His blessing upon His Son 39:06 for the beginning of His ministry. 39:08 Also Revelation Chapter 5, 39:10 Jesus is seen as the Lamb of God. 39:12 He appears in the midst of the throne 39:14 and the Father is clearly seated already on the throne. 39:16 And He comes and He retrieves 39:18 or takes the scroll out of the hand 39:19 of the One who is seated on the throne. 39:21 So there is a separation there. 39:23 And, of course, the one that really gets me 39:24 very more, more clearly than anything 39:26 is Jesus withdrawing Himself often to go pray. 39:29 Who was He praying to? Himself? 39:31 'Cause He's praying to somebody. 39:32 He's praying to His father 39:33 because He needed His father's strength. 39:35 So yes, they are one and the same in character, 39:37 purpose, goal, agenda, 39:38 but they are two separate individuals. 39:40 Amen. 39:41 So, Ryan, I'm going to do, 39:43 because I feel like this is connected. 39:46 Can you please, this is from Tony asking, 39:49 "Can you please explain Revelation 1:14-15?" 39:55 I'm glad you asked this with this, because again, 39:57 not only are they two separate individuals, 39:59 but they're also the same in the sense 40:01 that the Son looks very much like, 40:03 almost a replica version physically of the Father, 40:06 as far as His physical appearance. 40:08 And so Revelation 1:14-15 40:11 kind of gives us some insight on that. 40:13 So I'm gonna read those two texts 40:14 and then we'll explain them. 40:15 It says, "His head and His hair were like 40:18 white like wool as white as snow." 40:21 So was the Ancient of Days in Daniel Chapter 7. 40:24 And His eyes like a flame of fire. 40:27 His feet were like fine brass. 40:29 And if refined in a... 40:31 As if refined in a furnace and His voice 40:33 as the sound of many waters." 40:35 Now there's a lot of symbolism here. 40:37 Obviously John is envisioned. 40:38 So you have to allow the Bible to interpret itself 40:41 and to unpack what these symbols mean. 40:43 So I did some research on this, 40:45 dug into my commentaries 40:46 and also into my Bible software. 40:48 And I'm gonna try to make sense of this. 40:50 So here it is, the breakdown of these two verses. 40:52 The symbol of white hair represents 40:55 the venerable knowledge, solid wisdom, 40:58 mature judgment, and purity. 41:00 Okay. It can mean all of those things. 41:02 And if you go read Isaiah 1:18, 41:05 that's a good text for reference in there. 41:07 The symbol of having eyes as a flame of fire represents 41:10 intensity of gaze and power. 41:13 You see that in Psalm 34:15 41:15 and also 2 Chronicles 16:9 as well. 41:19 It also can mean as well as the fact 41:22 that He sees all things good and evil. 41:25 And also the fact that His eyes were on fire like fire. 41:28 Often the Holy Spirit in the Bible 41:31 is likened to a fire. 41:33 A fire is a symbol of cleansing. 41:35 And it also makes sense when you compare 41:36 that to Revelation Chapter 5, 41:38 because the Lamb is seen 41:39 before the throne of the Father. 41:41 And He has the seven eyes, which are told, 41:44 is the seven spirits of God 41:45 that are sent out to all of the world. 41:46 So I believe that is the cleansing eyesight, 41:48 the spiritual pure eyesight 41:52 of the Lord who sees all things. 41:54 Also the symbol of defined brass represents purity 41:57 through trial and shredding down of works of sin. 42:00 Isaiah 48:10, and also Zechariah 13:9. 42:04 And the voice of the sound of many waters 42:06 in Jewish writings represents the majesty, 42:09 power and authority 42:11 as of the only and Supreme Creator. 42:14 Of course, you can reference that also in Revelation 14:2. 42:17 So what we're seeing there is the resurrected 42:19 majestic glorified Christ. 42:21 And we know because He says, this is the Son of man 42:24 among the lampstand. 42:25 So that's wonderful. Jay, where in... 42:29 This is Raphael's question. 42:31 "Where in the Bible does it say God doesn't change?" 42:36 My brother Raphael, 42:38 here are a few verses for us to consider. 42:42 Psalm 33:11, "The counsel of the Lord stands forever, 42:48 the plans of His heart to all generations." 42:51 Titus 1:2, "In hope of eternal life, 42:55 which God who cannot lie promised before time began." 43:00 And Hebrews 6:18, "That by two immutable things 43:06 in which it is impossible for God to lie, 43:09 we might have strong consolation 43:12 who have fled for refuge 43:13 to lay hold of the hope set before us." 43:17 Numbers 23:19 says, 43:20 "God is not a man that He should lie 43:23 nor a Son of man that He should repent. 43:27 Has He said, and will He not do? 43:31 Or has He spoken and will He not make it good?" 43:35 I hope those scriptures 43:36 are helpful in answering your question, Raphael. 43:39 Amen. 43:41 I'm gonna add too real quick. 43:42 Yeah, please. I was gonna add Malachi. 43:44 Malachi 4:6, God says... 43:47 Malachi 3:6 Malachi 3:6, God says, 43:51 "I am the Lord, I do not change." 43:54 In Hebrews 13:8, He says, 43:57 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, 44:00 today and forever." 44:01 Amen. Amen. 44:03 All right, Johnny, 44:04 our final question from Kevin in Brooklyn, 44:07 "Where is, or what happened to the Ten Commandments 44:12 given to Moses by Yahweh." 44:16 That's a very good question. 44:17 People have been searching for it for centuries, 44:20 I would say, but I wanna give you the testimony 44:23 of the scriptures concerning where they were supposed to be. 44:26 In Deuteronomy 10:1-2 it says, 44:28 "At that time, the Lord said to me, 44:30 hew for yourself two tables of stone, 44:32 like the first and come up to me on the mountain 44:35 and make yourself an ark of wood. 44:37 And I will write on the tablets, 44:39 the words that were on the first tablets, 44:41 which you broke and you shall put them in the ark." 44:44 So the Ten Commandments were supposed to be 44:47 in the Most Holy Place inside the ark. 44:51 So what happened to them? 44:52 The people of Israel were taken as slaves several times. 44:56 The Babylonians took just about everything in the temple, 45:00 but the lists that have been found of materials 45:03 they took does not include 45:05 the ark nor the Ten Commandments. 45:08 So where are they? 45:09 Where are the Ten Commandments? 45:13 It is believed that the ancient people of Israel 45:18 saw what was happening and the rebellion 45:21 and that they were... 45:23 They took the ark and put it somewhere 45:24 where it could not be found in some cave somewhere. 45:27 Do we have, even the rabbis the Jews have this, 45:33 the same idea, the same concept among them. 45:35 So interestingly enough, during the time of Christ, 45:39 they say there was a stone 45:42 where the ark was supposed to be. 45:45 There was... 45:46 They don't know where it is. 45:48 The Lord is protecting this from hands 45:51 that should not be touching it. 45:53 That's right. 45:54 And I believe that when the time comes, 45:57 the Lord may reveal this in the human race, 46:01 but it is hidden away. 46:02 No one knows where it is. 46:04 No one has a map to find it. 46:06 And therefore, it is vain to search for it 46:10 because God is in control 46:12 and He may have angels keeping people away from it. 46:14 We just don't know where it is. 46:16 Oh, wonderful. 46:18 All, all excellent answers. 46:20 By the way I have a book about this thick 46:22 that talks about people trying to search for the ark 46:24 in different places and... 46:26 And some who've claimed to find it. 46:27 And those had all been disproved. 46:33 Once again, if you would like to submit a question, 46:35 you can text your question to us 46:38 at (618) 228-39 75 46:43 or you can email us 46:45 BibleQA@3abn.org 46:51 We do have just a few minutes for some extra questions. 46:55 This one is from Victoria in Maryland. 46:58 Anyone who wants to answer this? 47:00 She says, "I turned my life around about three years ago, 47:03 but the more I walk with Jesus, the less peace I feel. 47:08 He feels so distant and I'm exhausted. 47:11 Any thoughts?" 47:12 Absolutely, I'll start first 47:14 and if anybody wants to add, they can. 47:16 Victoria, I very much sympathize exactly 47:19 with what you're saying here, 47:20 because I think a lot of Christians 47:22 go through a despairing time, maybe a time of doubt, 47:25 maybe questioning, asking questions. 47:27 And sometimes it seems like 47:29 when we need God the most, He's just silent. 47:32 And there's characters in the Bible 47:35 who cried out to the Lord and wanted the Lord to come 47:38 to their aid in certain times, and God was silent. 47:41 But I believe that the answer to this question 47:43 is kind of a two-fold one. 47:44 And I believe what needs to happen in your situation 47:47 and in many other Christian situation is to pray 47:49 to the Lord and ask for Him to help you 47:53 do some self-examination. 47:55 Because when you do some self-examination 47:56 by the leading and guiding power 47:58 of the Holy Spirit, one or two things... 48:00 You're gonna come to one or two conclusions. 48:02 And that is, first of all, 48:04 if we believe in the promises of God's Word, 48:07 and we believe in the Word of Christ, 48:08 if you truly are in a relationship with Him, 48:10 then the Bible makes it very clear. 48:12 In fact, I'm gonna read John 14:27 here, 48:13 where Jesus Himself said, "Peace I leave with you. 48:16 My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, 48:20 do I give you. 48:21 Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." 48:26 And so there's many other texts, 48:27 you know, Matthew 11 there where Christ says, 48:29 you know, "Come unto me, all you who are, 48:31 who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest." 48:34 Christ is the Prince of peace. 48:36 And so, you know, in your question here, you said, 48:38 you turn your life around three years ago, 48:41 but it seems like, you know, you feel Christ less 48:44 or there's peace less. 48:45 So it may be the case that may be 48:47 there's something missing there. 48:49 And Christ is trying to get your attention. 48:51 However, I don't wanna play judge here. 48:53 You may be in a relationship with Christ 48:55 and if you truly are in a relationship with Christ, 48:57 let me remind you 48:59 that 2 Timothy 3:12 makes it very clear. 49:02 Yes, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus 49:05 will suffer persecution. 49:07 There will be times when we go through some 49:09 despairing dark times, because the enemy 49:12 is at war with God's remnant people, 49:14 according to Revelation 12:17. 49:16 So do some self-examination, pray to the Lord and say, 49:19 Lord reveal to me. 49:20 Is there something missing? 49:22 You know, am I really in a relationship with You? 49:24 Is there something I need to commit to You? 49:27 Or perhaps, maybe you are committed 49:28 and the Lord will reveal to You. 49:30 No my child, you're walking in My way, 49:32 but the enemy is pressing hard upon your soul. 49:35 Reach out to Him 49:36 and He will provide that answer for you. 49:38 Amen. 49:39 Jay, anything would you like to add? 49:40 Amen. 49:42 Yes, just operate off of principle 49:43 and not feelings because feelings lead you 49:45 into a dangerous place. 49:47 But take God at His word. 49:49 And I don't know if you're going through any trials, 49:51 you may be experiencing trials, 49:53 but remember the fiery trial that Shadrach, 49:57 Meshach, and Abednego were faced with. 49:59 They went through that trial. 50:01 They held strong to God. 50:03 And as a result, it was a witness 50:05 to so many people. 50:06 So just hold on to that. 50:07 Amen. Amen. Johnny? 50:09 I want to add that the rely on the promises of God. 50:12 I also believe that we cannot trust 50:15 in our feelings. 50:16 You may feel depressed. 50:18 You may feel happy, 50:19 but the fact is that Jesus has promised 50:21 I will be with you always, even unto the end of the world, 50:24 whether you're going to trials or difficulties, 50:26 whether you're having your high, 50:28 your highest joyous moments. 50:30 Remember that Jesus Christ is with you. 50:32 He will never leave you nor forsake you 50:34 and continue searching for Him. 50:36 Continue reading the promises and really focus on Jesus. 50:41 Really focus on reading the scriptures 50:45 that talk about Him. 50:47 Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, 50:48 and I would even really encourage you 50:50 to get the book Desire of Ages. 50:53 That book will draw you to Jesus Christ. 50:57 And you will see like a beautiful description 51:00 of His love and His concern, His salvation, 51:03 how He goes to even the... 51:06 What people would say, this is the worst of sinners, 51:07 don't go near Him. 51:09 Jesus goes to that person. 51:10 Amen. 51:11 So Jesus is our savior ever present, 51:13 and will never leave us nor forsake us. 51:15 Amen. Amen. 51:16 And, Victoria, just don't get into a performance mentality, 51:19 it is you are saved by grace through faith. 51:21 Let... Accept God's love. 51:23 Let Him love you. 51:25 And you'll find it easy to love Him back. 51:27 All right, we're gonna take a quick break 51:29 and we will be back in just a moment 51:31 with some closing thoughts. 51:34 If you're enjoying our 3ABN Bible Q and A, 51:37 then tell your friends. 51:39 Each Monday we'll bring you a fresh program, 51:41 answering the Bible questions you send us 51:44 and we'll use God's Holy Word to shed light on those texts 51:47 that seem difficult to understand. 51:49 If you would like your questions answered 51:51 on an upcoming program, 51:52 just email them to us. 51:54 Our email address is BibleQA@3abn.org 51:59 That's BibleQA@3abn.org 52:03 You can also text us your questions by sending them 52:06 to (618) 228-3975. 52:10 That number again is (618) 228-3975. 52:15 Be sure to include your name and where you live, 52:17 and then watch 3ABN Bible Q and A 52:20 for the answers from God's Word. |
