Amen. 00:02:54.97\00:02:56.30 I want to share this verse real quick with you 00:02:56.34\00:02:57.71 from Psalm 119:105, and it says, 00:02:57.74\00:03:01.21 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." 00:03:01.24\00:03:05.78 Amen. 00:03:05.81\00:03:07.15 And so we're going to be spending 00:03:07.22\00:03:08.55 quite a bit of time in the Word of God today. 00:03:08.58\00:03:10.39 Shelley, this first question is going to you. 00:03:10.42\00:03:13.15 This is from Ronald out of Maryland and it says, 00:03:13.19\00:03:16.06 "Is keeping the Sabbath, more important 00:03:16.09\00:03:18.79 than the blood of Jesus?" 00:03:18.83\00:03:20.63 And you have three minutes to answer this. 00:03:20.70\00:03:22.36 Okay. 00:03:22.40\00:03:23.73 Nothing is more important 00:03:23.77\00:03:26.43 than the blood of Jesus, nothing. 00:03:26.47\00:03:29.47 His blood is how God fulfilled His plan of redemption. 00:03:29.50\00:03:35.24 God became a man in the person of Jesus Christ, 00:03:35.28\00:03:39.61 and He died for us, 00:03:39.65\00:03:41.65 He was the lamb slain 00:03:41.68\00:03:43.59 from the foundation of the world. 00:03:43.65\00:03:46.25 When you look at Revelation, 00:03:46.29\00:03:49.96 or excuse me, Hebrews 13:20, it says that, 00:03:49.99\00:03:53.70 "Jesus' blood is the blood of the everlasting covenant, 00:03:53.76\00:03:59.23 it was His sacrifice for sin." 00:03:59.27\00:04:03.44 It made it possible to cleanse us from sin, 00:04:03.47\00:04:06.71 Revelation 1:5, says, 00:04:06.74\00:04:09.44 "Christ loved us, and washed us from our sins 00:04:09.48\00:04:12.35 in His own blood." 00:04:12.38\00:04:13.88 Hebrews 9:22, says, 00:04:13.92\00:04:16.52 "Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin." 00:04:16.55\00:04:20.76 Romans 3:24-25 says, 00:04:20.82\00:04:25.19 "We were justified freely by grace 00:04:25.23\00:04:28.90 through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 00:04:28.93\00:04:32.80 whom God set forth 00:04:32.83\00:04:34.87 as a propitiation by His blood." 00:04:34.90\00:04:40.01 This is, it remind you when the high priest 00:04:40.04\00:04:42.64 would take the blood into the Holy of Holies 00:04:42.68\00:04:45.91 on the Day of Atonement 00:04:45.95\00:04:47.88 and put it on the mercy seat. 00:04:47.92\00:04:49.88 And Romans 5:9 says, "Having been justified," how? 00:04:49.92\00:04:54.92 "By His blood, 00:04:54.96\00:04:56.62 we shall be saved from wrath through him. 00:04:56.66\00:05:01.06 Keeping this Sabbath will not save you." 00:05:01.10\00:05:05.00 There's nothing that we can do to save ourselves. 00:05:05.03\00:05:07.47 Ephesians 2:8-10 says that, 00:05:07.50\00:05:10.34 "We are saved by grace through faith, 00:05:10.37\00:05:12.01 not of works that anyone should boast." 00:05:12.04\00:05:14.41 But having said that, 00:05:14.44\00:05:16.81 the blood of Jesus Christ ratified the New Covenant 00:05:16.85\00:05:20.95 and God calls us 00:05:20.98\00:05:22.32 into covenant relationship with Him, 00:05:22.35\00:05:25.22 which is a relationship of love and loyalty. 00:05:25.25\00:05:29.29 There is an expectancy of obedience. 00:05:29.32\00:05:32.79 The Ten Commandments is God's law of love. 00:05:32.83\00:05:37.47 Did you know that Ten Commandments 00:05:37.50\00:05:39.13 are a covenant? 00:05:39.17\00:05:40.54 In Deuteronomy 4:13, Moses says, 00:05:40.57\00:05:43.54 "He declared to you His covenant, 00:05:43.57\00:05:45.67 which he commanded you to perform the Ten commandments 00:05:45.71\00:05:47.94 He wrote them on tables of stone, 00:05:47.98\00:05:50.65 put them inside the ark," 00:05:50.68\00:05:52.05 but they are not the old covenant. 00:05:52.08\00:05:54.75 You find the Old Covenant in Exodus 24:7-8, 00:05:54.78\00:06:00.22 where Moses wrote it the Old Covenant in a book, 00:06:00.26\00:06:04.56 and then it ended up on the side of the ark. 00:06:04.59\00:06:08.00 The Ten Commandments 00:06:08.03\00:06:09.36 were the heart of the Old Covenant, 00:06:09.40\00:06:10.87 the Ten Commandments 00:06:10.90\00:06:12.23 are the heart of the New Covenant. 00:06:12.27\00:06:14.44 Hebrews 8:8-10, says, 00:06:14.47\00:06:17.61 "God says, 'I will put My laws in your mind, 00:06:17.64\00:06:21.31 write them on your heart." ' 00:06:21.38\00:06:22.91 In Hebrews 5:9 says, 00:06:22.94\00:06:24.68 "Jesus became the author of eternal salvation 00:06:24.71\00:06:28.45 to all who obey Him." 00:06:28.48\00:06:30.39 Amen. Thank you for your explanation. 00:06:30.42\00:06:33.12 Ryan, what do the 10 toes represent 00:06:33.15\00:06:36.29 in Daniel Chapter 2? 00:06:36.32\00:06:37.66 Amen. 00:06:37.73\00:06:39.06 That's a great question, great prophetic question 00:06:39.09\00:06:40.80 that usually will take about a few minutes 00:06:40.83\00:06:43.40 during an evangelistic series to answer 00:06:43.43\00:06:45.10 but you know what we're going to do our best now. 00:06:45.13\00:06:46.84 Let's go to Daniel 2:41-42 00:06:46.87\00:06:49.34 to read what the Bible says there, 00:06:49.37\00:06:50.91 and then we'll reveal directly what that is. 00:06:50.97\00:06:53.04 It says, "Where as you saw the feet and toes, 00:06:53.07\00:06:55.58 partly of potter's clay and partly of iron, 00:06:55.61\00:06:58.05 the kingdom shall be divided. 00:06:58.08\00:07:00.18 Yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, 00:07:00.22\00:07:02.42 just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay." 00:07:02.45\00:07:05.95 In verse 42, 00:07:05.99\00:07:07.36 "And as the toes of the feet 00:07:07.39\00:07:08.72 were partly of iron and partly of clay 00:07:08.76\00:07:10.09 so the kingdom shall be partly strong 00:07:10.13\00:07:11.79 and partly fragile." 00:07:11.83\00:07:13.26 So we know that the leg those... 00:07:13.29\00:07:15.40 in that metal man in Daniel 2, 00:07:15.43\00:07:17.43 "The head of gold, chest and arms of silver, 00:07:17.47\00:07:19.20 the belly and thighs of bronze, the legs of iron." 00:07:19.23\00:07:21.74 They all represent the four successive kingdoms 00:07:21.77\00:07:24.81 the world empires that ruled from Daniel's day 00:07:24.84\00:07:27.38 unto the end of the world. 00:07:27.44\00:07:28.78 In this case we know Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, 00:07:28.81\00:07:31.21 and of course those legs of iron 00:07:31.25\00:07:33.05 would be the pagan civil kingdom of Rome. 00:07:33.08\00:07:36.25 Now in this case 00:07:36.28\00:07:37.65 the iron continues into the feet 00:07:37.69\00:07:39.29 so does Rome's influence continue into the feet? 00:07:39.32\00:07:41.22 Yes. 00:07:41.26\00:07:42.59 Yes, it does, but the only thing is 00:07:42.62\00:07:43.96 Babylon was conquered, 00:07:43.99\00:07:45.36 Medo-Persia was conquered, 00:07:45.39\00:07:46.80 Greece was pretty much conquered by Rome 00:07:46.83\00:07:49.33 in the sense that they overtook in dominion. 00:07:49.36\00:07:51.47 Rome was not really conquered, 00:07:51.50\00:07:52.93 but Rome became divided in the sense that 00:07:52.97\00:07:55.34 they allow themselves to become divided 00:07:55.37\00:07:57.07 with the world. 00:07:57.14\00:07:58.47 In this case, those 10 toes represent 00:07:58.51\00:08:00.58 the 10 divisional kingdoms or nations 00:08:00.61\00:08:04.81 that Rome became divided into by the year 476 AD. 00:08:04.85\00:08:09.82 So from 168 BC until 476 AD, 00:08:09.85\00:08:14.02 Rome ruled dominantly but by 476 AD, 00:08:14.06\00:08:17.39 they were divided into 10 different regions. 00:08:17.43\00:08:19.03 So just as you see the 10 toes, 00:08:19.06\00:08:21.13 those represent the 10 different regions 00:08:21.16\00:08:23.06 or nations or kingdoms 00:08:23.10\00:08:24.93 that Rome was made up, the empire of Rome at the time, 00:08:24.97\00:08:27.40 of course, those were, I'm gonna list them here. 00:08:27.47\00:08:29.60 The Alamanni which became known as the Germans today, 00:08:29.64\00:08:32.67 the Burgundians, the Swiss, the Franks, 00:08:32.71\00:08:35.21 of course, became known as the French, 00:08:35.24\00:08:37.15 the Lombards were the Italians, 00:08:37.18\00:08:39.15 the Saxons, of course, the English, 00:08:39.18\00:08:41.08 the Suave or the Suavi, 00:08:41.15\00:08:42.48 of course became known as the Portuguese, 00:08:42.52\00:08:44.42 the Visigoths were the Spanish, 00:08:44.45\00:08:46.42 and of course the other three, 00:08:46.45\00:08:47.79 the Herulis, the Vandals and the Ostrogoths, 00:08:47.82\00:08:50.36 those are all extinct today. 00:08:50.39\00:08:51.89 So seven of them continued on, three of them did not. 00:08:51.93\00:08:55.16 Wow, thank you for unpacking that for us in two minutes, 00:08:55.20\00:08:58.23 that's incredible. 00:08:58.27\00:08:59.60 Very good. 00:08:59.63\00:09:01.04 Pastor Lomacang, this question is for you, 00:09:01.10\00:09:02.50 it's from Isabel. 00:09:02.54\00:09:03.87 And she says, 00:09:03.91\00:09:05.24 "I understand that the battle started in heaven, 00:09:05.27\00:09:07.74 Lucifer was cast out 00:09:07.81\00:09:09.14 for slandering the character of Jehovah, 00:09:09.18\00:09:11.18 the Almighty God Creator. 00:09:11.21\00:09:13.48 The evil one was selfish and self centered, 00:09:13.52\00:09:16.28 and was rebellious, and the master liar, 00:09:16.32\00:09:19.25 deceiver and destroyer. 00:09:19.29\00:09:21.19 Was the devil on this planet are ready 00:09:21.22\00:09:23.36 when God created this beautiful perfect world 00:09:23.39\00:09:25.93 and everything within, like, man and woman?" 00:09:25.96\00:09:29.46 Well, the answer, unfortunately, is yes, 00:09:29.50\00:09:33.13 but he wasn't down here, 00:09:33.17\00:09:34.54 waiting around while God was creating 00:09:34.57\00:09:36.71 because you find in Genesis, 00:09:36.74\00:09:38.57 that when the Bible describes the presentation of earth. 00:09:38.61\00:09:42.78 It says, 00:09:42.81\00:09:44.15 "The earth was without form and void 00:09:44.18\00:09:46.82 and darkness was upon the face of the deep." 00:09:46.85\00:09:49.62 So from the fresh, clean slate, no one was on the planet. 00:09:49.65\00:09:54.46 But during that time you find in Revelations, 00:09:54.49\00:09:56.96 "This challenge of God's authority, 00:09:56.99\00:09:59.26 this challenge of the government of God. 00:09:59.29\00:10:01.26 This Lucifer turned Satan 00:10:01.30\00:10:04.13 attempted to overthrow the government of God." 00:10:04.17\00:10:06.97 The Bible says in Revelation 12:7, 00:10:07.00\00:10:09.57 "And war broke out in heaven Michael and his angels, 00:10:09.60\00:10:12.27 Michael and his angels fought with the dragon 00:10:12.31\00:10:15.34 and the dragon and his angels fought, 00:10:15.38\00:10:18.31 but they did not prevail, 00:10:18.35\00:10:19.68 nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer." 00:10:19.71\00:10:23.25 So, if there is no place for them in heaven, 00:10:23.28\00:10:24.95 the question is where are they? 00:10:24.99\00:10:26.59 The Bible will tell us. 00:10:26.62\00:10:28.66 Verse 9, 00:10:28.69\00:10:30.03 "So the great dragon was cast out, 00:10:30.06\00:10:31.89 that serpent of old called the Devil and Satan, 00:10:31.93\00:10:33.86 who deceives the whole world." 00:10:33.90\00:10:35.60 Where was he? 00:10:35.63\00:10:36.97 "He was cast to the earth, 00:10:37.00\00:10:38.63 and his angels were cast out with him." 00:10:38.67\00:10:40.97 And so, unfortunately in the middle of creation, 00:10:41.00\00:10:43.30 if, if he wasn't here, 00:10:43.34\00:10:45.84 there would have been no reason for God 00:10:45.87\00:10:47.34 to tell Adam what he did. 00:10:47.41\00:10:48.74 In Genesis 2:17, 00:10:48.78\00:10:51.38 "He said, 'You can eat everything of a garden, 00:10:51.41\00:10:53.35 but of the tree of the knowledge 00:10:53.38\00:10:55.95 of good and evil 00:10:55.98\00:10:57.32 you shall not eat. 00:10:57.35\00:10:59.09 For in the day you eat of it, you shall surely die." 00:10:59.12\00:11:03.59 Now death couldn't be possible 00:11:03.63\00:11:05.13 if there was not a possibility of sin 00:11:05.16\00:11:07.36 entering the world and we know in Romans 5:12, 00:11:07.40\00:11:09.76 Adam failed that test, 00:11:09.80\00:11:11.50 knowingly and willingly failed the test. 00:11:11.53\00:11:14.57 But here's why we know that Satan was here 00:11:14.60\00:11:16.30 because 2 Corinthians 11:3 says, 00:11:16.34\00:11:19.17 "But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve 00:11:19.21\00:11:23.58 by his craftiness, 00:11:23.61\00:11:25.38 so your minds may be corrupted 00:11:25.41\00:11:27.45 from the simplicity that is in Christ." 00:11:27.48\00:11:29.45 So the answer is, yes, he was here. 00:11:29.48\00:11:32.19 Thank you, Pastor. 00:11:32.22\00:11:33.59 Shelley? 00:11:33.62\00:11:35.19 Is the name of Prophet Muhammad mentioned in Quran 00:11:35.22\00:11:39.63 also mentioned in Hebrew or Greek Bible? 00:11:39.66\00:11:42.23 No. Okay. 00:11:42.26\00:11:44.17 Is it okay for a Christian to marry a Muslim? 00:11:44.20\00:11:46.53 Whoa! 00:11:46.57\00:11:47.94 That's a difficult one, not too difficult. 00:11:47.97\00:11:51.14 Interfaith marriage is a very serious matter 00:11:51.21\00:11:54.88 because there can be eternal consequences. 00:11:54.91\00:11:58.25 In Matthew 19:4-6, 00:11:58.28\00:12:00.78 "Jesus depicts marriage between a man and a woman 00:12:00.82\00:12:04.32 that they shall become one flesh." 00:12:04.35\00:12:06.62 And this is representative of God's union with His church. 00:12:06.65\00:12:11.69 The Word of God strongly discourages 00:12:11.73\00:12:15.03 any kind of union between someone 00:12:15.06\00:12:19.33 who believes in Christ as the Messiah, 00:12:19.37\00:12:21.64 and someone who does not. 00:12:21.67\00:12:23.00 Let me give you a scripture, 2 Corinthians 6:14, says, 00:12:23.04\00:12:26.64 "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. 00:12:26.68\00:12:30.11 For what fellowship has righteousness 00:12:30.15\00:12:31.95 with lawlessness? 00:12:31.98\00:12:33.48 And what communion has light with darkness?" 00:12:33.52\00:12:37.79 Now, in that context, 00:12:37.82\00:12:39.65 he is not specifically speaking of marriage, 00:12:39.69\00:12:42.42 but we know that Paul in 1 Corinthians 7:39, 00:12:42.46\00:12:47.00 had an expectation 00:12:47.03\00:12:48.46 that Christians should only marry Christians. 00:12:48.50\00:12:51.13 1 Corinthians 7:39, 00:12:51.17\00:12:53.80 "A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives. 00:12:53.84\00:12:57.21 But if her husband dies 00:12:57.24\00:12:58.71 she is at liberty to be married to whom she wishes, 00:12:58.74\00:13:03.14 only in the Lord." 00:13:03.18\00:13:05.41 So that means 00:13:05.45\00:13:06.78 they had to also be a believer in the Lord. 00:13:06.82\00:13:11.72 Amos 3:3 says, 00:13:11.79\00:13:13.29 "Can two walk together, unless they agreed?" 00:13:13.32\00:13:18.13 I know people who have married into other denominations 00:13:18.16\00:13:24.03 or into other faiths, 00:13:24.07\00:13:25.80 and it's never been a happy union. 00:13:25.83\00:13:28.67 It is particularly bad if you have a child, 00:13:28.70\00:13:31.81 because it affects more than just you and your partner, 00:13:31.84\00:13:35.74 it's going to affect 00:13:35.78\00:13:37.15 how your children will be reared. 00:13:37.18\00:13:39.21 Luke 6 is a good, 00:13:39.25\00:13:41.95 something to build on, that says, 00:13:41.98\00:13:44.35 "If you build your house on the rock, Christ Jesus, 00:13:44.39\00:13:48.26 it's gonna stand." 00:13:48.32\00:13:50.26 Amen. Amen. 00:13:50.29\00:13:51.63 Amen. Very good. 00:13:51.69\00:13:53.03 Ryan, "Did Adam and Eve keep their first ever Sabbath holy?" 00:13:53.06\00:13:57.43 This is from Carol. 00:13:57.50\00:13:58.83 Oh, absolutely. 00:13:58.87\00:14:00.27 I believe that's very clear because obviously, 00:14:00.30\00:14:02.24 in this case, God created them on the sixth day, 00:14:02.27\00:14:04.67 the very next day would have been Sabbath. 00:14:04.71\00:14:07.34 And so here's, here's where it gets kind of tricky 00:14:07.38\00:14:09.38 because there's kind of a couple of views out there. 00:14:09.41\00:14:11.41 Some people say yes, 00:14:11.45\00:14:12.78 they would have kept Sabbath the next day 00:14:12.81\00:14:14.32 because, you know, 00:14:14.38\00:14:15.72 the Lord created the Sabbath day, 00:14:15.75\00:14:17.32 He rests on the seventh day and therefore, 00:14:17.35\00:14:19.22 they would have kept that as well, 00:14:19.25\00:14:20.69 and I believe that, I don't believe they violated, 00:14:20.72\00:14:23.22 you know, the very next day that they lived. 00:14:23.26\00:14:24.69 I don't believe that, 00:14:24.73\00:14:26.06 that they violated the Sabbath at all, 00:14:26.09\00:14:27.40 but I also believe that 00:14:27.46\00:14:28.76 Genesis 2:1-3, is a record of, 00:14:28.80\00:14:31.60 "God keeping the Sabbath 00:14:31.63\00:14:33.00 to give them an example of how they are to rest 00:14:33.03\00:14:36.04 and keep that Sabbath holy." 00:14:36.07\00:14:37.54 Someone once said, 00:14:37.57\00:14:38.91 "Well technically 00:14:38.94\00:14:40.28 they would have been listening to God 00:14:40.31\00:14:41.64 and watching God in His example 00:14:41.68\00:14:43.01 the very first ever Sabbath." 00:14:43.04\00:14:44.58 And then, you know, 00:14:44.61\00:14:45.95 they couldn't have actually 00:14:45.98\00:14:47.32 kept their Sabbath by themselves 00:14:47.35\00:14:48.68 until the next week because, of 00:14:48.72\00:14:50.05 course, the commandment says, 00:14:50.09\00:14:51.42 "Six days thou shall work, and the seventh day 00:14:51.45\00:14:52.79 is the Sabbath of the Lord, thy God." 00:14:52.82\00:14:54.19 And so some people argue and say, 00:14:54.22\00:14:55.56 well, it would have been the next Sabbath 00:14:55.59\00:14:56.93 that they would have kept their first Sabbath. 00:14:56.96\00:14:58.69 I think the most important thing 00:14:58.73\00:15:00.13 is whether it was that very next day, 00:15:00.16\00:15:01.46 or it was the next week, the answer is yes 00:15:01.50\00:15:03.40 because they were sinless beings at that point. 00:15:03.43\00:15:05.57 They were in communion 00:15:05.60\00:15:07.24 and in covenant relationship with God. 00:15:07.27\00:15:10.04 And we can even give some support to this 00:15:10.07\00:15:12.21 by simply stating the fact that, 00:15:12.24\00:15:14.04 for instance, Abraham, Genesis 26:5, it says, 00:15:14.08\00:15:17.38 "And Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, 00:15:17.41\00:15:19.95 My commandments, My statutes and My laws." 00:15:19.98\00:15:22.45 Some people argue that 00:15:22.48\00:15:23.82 because the Ten Commandments don't come until Exodus 20, 00:15:23.85\00:15:26.39 that, you know, that's a Jewish thing, 00:15:26.42\00:15:27.99 The Sabbath is a Jewish thing, 00:15:28.02\00:15:29.36 so Adam and Eve wouldn't have had to keep the Sabbath 00:15:29.39\00:15:31.86 because it didn't come until later. 00:15:31.89\00:15:33.29 But the fact that we see evidence that 00:15:33.33\00:15:35.36 Abraham obeyed God's voice and kept His commandments. 00:15:35.40\00:15:37.97 If God shared 00:15:38.00\00:15:39.33 His law and His commandments with Abraham 00:15:39.37\00:15:40.70 before there ever was a record of the Ten Commandments, 00:15:40.74\00:15:42.97 an official record at that time, 00:15:43.00\00:15:44.91 then you better believe He would have shared 00:15:44.94\00:15:46.27 His law and His commandments, 00:15:46.31\00:15:47.64 obviously with Adam and Eve as well. 00:15:47.68\00:15:49.51 And you certainly wouldn't have imagined God saying, 00:15:49.54\00:15:52.01 you know, I'm creating them on the sixth day 00:15:52.05\00:15:54.12 and then the very next day saying, 00:15:54.15\00:15:55.48 oh, you know what? 00:15:55.52\00:15:56.85 I'm going to rest and keep Sabbath 00:15:56.89\00:15:58.22 but you don't have to, it's not for you, right? 00:15:58.29\00:15:59.89 We know for sure that they would have kept that Sabbath. 00:15:59.92\00:16:01.96 God would have taught them to keep that Sabbath. 00:16:01.99\00:16:04.36 And, of course, 00:16:04.39\00:16:05.73 even Exodus 16:28 where he says, 00:16:05.76\00:16:07.30 "How long refuse you 00:16:07.36\00:16:08.66 to keep My commandments and My laws" 00:16:08.70\00:16:10.03 That's another indication 00:16:10.07\00:16:11.40 that before the Ten Commandments were there, 00:16:11.47\00:16:12.93 He still expected them to keep His commandments, 00:16:12.97\00:16:15.30 and of course that would have included the Sabbath. 00:16:15.34\00:16:18.01 Amen. Excellent explanation. 00:16:18.04\00:16:20.21 Pastor Lomacang? Yeah. 00:16:20.24\00:16:21.78 My question is for Pastor John. 00:16:21.81\00:16:24.01 "Jesus left us an example for us to follow, 00:16:24.05\00:16:26.75 because He is our example. 00:16:26.78\00:16:28.42 My question is now that 00:16:28.45\00:16:30.09 we are encountering this difficult situation 00:16:30.12\00:16:32.59 with this virus, 00:16:32.62\00:16:34.06 is it okay for each member to buy their own bread 00:16:34.09\00:16:37.73 and wine which is grape juice, and be in their home, 00:16:37.76\00:16:41.40 and the pastor is at his home 00:16:41.46\00:16:44.00 and conduct the communion service. 00:16:44.03\00:16:46.17 If yes, what about the foot washing? 00:16:46.20\00:16:48.74 Okay now, this one is a beautiful. 00:16:48.77\00:16:51.77 I mean that's very, very creative 00:16:51.81\00:16:53.74 and I appreciate your creativity. 00:16:53.78\00:16:56.34 One of the things we did in our church 00:16:56.38\00:16:57.81 we've had communion service during COVID, 00:16:57.85\00:16:59.61 but we did not do the foot washing service 00:16:59.65\00:17:01.45 because of the fact that social distancing is impossible 00:17:01.48\00:17:05.29 from holding your foot. 00:17:05.32\00:17:07.02 All right, that's the obvious answer. 00:17:07.06\00:17:09.92 There may... 00:17:09.96\00:17:11.33 There are a lot of people that are very perturbed 00:17:11.36\00:17:13.60 and thrown off schedule 00:17:13.63\00:17:14.96 by the fact that they can't go to church. 00:17:15.00\00:17:16.63 This is an ordinance of specificity 00:17:16.67\00:17:19.80 and the fellowship aspects of this here is 00:17:19.83\00:17:21.80 as important as the ordinance itself. 00:17:21.84\00:17:24.57 Now, the conditions under which we say that 00:17:24.61\00:17:27.94 you're in your home and you have communion 00:17:27.98\00:17:29.68 is when a person is sick and shut in. 00:17:29.71\00:17:32.21 Well now under COVID, 00:17:32.25\00:17:33.58 they may not be sick, but they are shut in. 00:17:33.62\00:17:36.35 So there is no injunction against it, 00:17:36.38\00:17:39.45 and there is no instruction to do it that way either. 00:17:39.49\00:17:42.56 The only instruction we have in the Bible is 00:17:42.59\00:17:44.83 as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, 00:17:44.89\00:17:47.86 you do show the Lord's death till He comes. 00:17:47.86\00:17:50.43 If your pastor decided to get creative and said, 00:17:50.47\00:17:53.40 "Tomorrow, I mean on Friday, stop by the church, 00:17:53.44\00:17:56.54 we'll give you a prepackaged communion cup, 00:17:56.57\00:17:58.91 prepackaged unfermented wine and unleavened bread, 00:17:58.94\00:18:03.78 and tomorrow we're gonna have a Zoom communion." 00:18:03.81\00:18:05.95 I don't see that God is going to say, 00:18:05.98\00:18:07.32 you know what? 00:18:07.35\00:18:08.68 You guys just violated the principles 00:18:08.72\00:18:10.35 of the communion service 00:18:10.39\00:18:11.75 because I think the spirit of it 00:18:11.79\00:18:13.46 is we want to have communion fellowship. 00:18:13.49\00:18:17.09 We want to still be able to enjoy 00:18:17.13\00:18:18.96 these sacred sacraments 00:18:18.99\00:18:21.46 that God established 00:18:21.53\00:18:22.86 to recommit ourselves to Christ, 00:18:22.90\00:18:24.70 and thereby strengthen our fellowship 00:18:24.73\00:18:27.64 one with another, 00:18:27.67\00:18:29.00 and our recommitment one to Christ. 00:18:29.04\00:18:31.57 So creativity is acceptable, 00:18:31.64\00:18:33.07 and I don't think that 00:18:33.11\00:18:34.44 God is going to turn His back and say, 00:18:34.51\00:18:35.88 well, guys you forgot the foot washing, 00:18:35.91\00:18:37.98 it doesn't count. 00:18:38.01\00:18:39.35 We're gonna put off foot washing back 00:18:39.38\00:18:41.48 when circumstances allow. 00:18:41.55\00:18:43.65 Amen. Amen. Thank you for that. 00:18:43.69\00:18:45.92 Now perhaps you're just now joining us 00:18:45.95\00:18:48.49 and you want to send in your questions, 00:18:48.52\00:18:51.06 please text them to 618-228-3975, 00:18:51.09\00:18:56.23 or you can send an email to BibleQA@3abn.org 00:18:56.26\00:19:01.94 and we'd be happy to answer those for you. 00:19:02.00\00:19:04.84 Shelley, 00:19:04.87\00:19:06.44 "What are ways 00:19:06.47\00:19:07.81 that I can build my relationship with God?" 00:19:07.84\00:19:10.21 This comes from Diane. 00:19:10.25\00:19:11.58 Oh, Diane, what a wonderful question 00:19:11.61\00:19:13.11 and I'm gonna give you seven quick ways. 00:19:13.15\00:19:15.15 One, pray daily to be filled with the Holy Spirit. 00:19:15.18\00:19:18.99 We see in Ephesians 3:16-19, that we are, 00:19:19.02\00:19:23.89 "When the Holy Spirit is in us, 00:19:23.93\00:19:25.56 we're strengthened with the power of God, 00:19:25.59\00:19:27.93 and we can understand the love of God 00:19:27.96\00:19:30.83 and we can only love Him because He first loved us." 00:19:30.87\00:19:34.24 Secondly, pray daily for a divine awareness 00:19:34.27\00:19:39.57 of God's presence. 00:19:39.61\00:19:40.94 He said in Hebrews 13:5, 00:19:40.98\00:19:42.91 "I never leave you or forsake you." 00:19:42.94\00:19:45.15 But some people forget that 00:19:45.18\00:19:46.65 He's with them every moment of the day. 00:19:46.68\00:19:51.29 Third, communicate with the Lord, 00:19:51.32\00:19:53.52 communication is the relationship. 00:19:53.56\00:19:56.16 Let God speak to you through His Word, 00:19:56.19\00:20:00.96 you read the Word. 00:20:01.00\00:20:02.70 And Hebrews 1:3 says that, 00:20:02.73\00:20:04.77 "He sustains and upholds all things by His word." 00:20:04.83\00:20:09.04 But then you speak to God through prayer, 00:20:09.07\00:20:11.97 and it's something that I suggest that 00:20:12.01\00:20:14.74 you return God's word to Him in prayer. 00:20:14.78\00:20:17.48 Look at His promises and say, 00:20:17.51\00:20:19.61 "Oh, thank you, Lord, 00:20:19.65\00:20:20.98 that I'm a new creation in Christ Jesus." 00:20:21.02\00:20:23.28 It helps you, 00:20:23.32\00:20:25.49 come to understand your new identity in Him, 00:20:25.52\00:20:28.42 as you pray the word back to Him. 00:20:28.46\00:20:30.76 Number four, be loyal to God, 00:20:30.79\00:20:34.36 put His Word into practice. 00:20:34.36\00:20:37.37 What am I talking about? Obedience. 00:20:37.40\00:20:40.57 Number five, abide in Christ, Jesus said in John 15:5, 00:20:40.60\00:20:45.94 "Apart from Me you can do nothing." 00:20:45.97\00:20:49.01 So learn to depend totally on His power, His wisdom 00:20:49.04\00:20:54.95 and His ability to save you. 00:20:54.98\00:20:58.85 Six, join a church of likeminded believers. 00:20:58.89\00:21:04.19 And number seven, get involved in Christian service, 00:21:04.23\00:21:08.73 so you can share Jesus and His love with others. 00:21:08.76\00:21:12.27 Amen. I love that, be loyal to God. 00:21:12.30\00:21:14.90 I love that point, excellent. 00:21:14.97\00:21:17.11 Pastor Day, we're coming to you 00:21:17.14\00:21:19.64 and you'll have three minutes to answer this question. 00:21:19.67\00:21:22.44 "Are there deciphers of speaking in tongues. 00:21:22.48\00:21:25.65 Meaning, are there people that can interpret 00:21:25.68\00:21:28.28 what is being said?" 00:21:28.35\00:21:29.95 Amen, I think that's a great question. 00:21:29.98\00:21:31.82 Certainly something that needs to be clarified 00:21:31.85\00:21:33.56 and we're going to try to do that right now 00:21:33.59\00:21:34.92 in the time given. 00:21:34.99\00:21:36.32 First of all, let's identify what tongues is, okay? 00:21:36.36\00:21:38.46 There is... 00:21:38.49\00:21:39.83 Tongues are simply means languages, 00:21:39.86\00:21:41.16 when you hear somebody 00:21:41.20\00:21:42.53 it's old English word for languages 00:21:42.56\00:21:43.90 so you know, you have, you speak in a foreign tongue 00:21:43.93\00:21:45.80 you might hear someone say, 00:21:45.83\00:21:47.17 talking about a foreign language. 00:21:47.20\00:21:48.54 So, speaking in tongues, 00:21:48.57\00:21:50.41 referring to the gift of speaking in tongues by God, 00:21:50.44\00:21:53.24 of course, is the ability to supernaturally in this case, 00:21:53.27\00:21:56.68 says the Bible gives evidence 00:21:56.71\00:21:58.55 and gives witness to three different occasions. 00:21:58.58\00:22:00.95 Acts Chapter 2, Acts Chapter 10, 00:22:00.98\00:22:02.78 Acts Chapter 19, 00:22:02.82\00:22:04.15 in which someone 00:22:04.19\00:22:05.52 was supernaturally given the ability 00:22:05.55\00:22:06.89 to speak in a tongue that was easily understood 00:22:06.92\00:22:10.13 by the hearers around them or someone within the distance, 00:22:10.16\00:22:13.50 hearing distance could understand them. 00:22:13.53\00:22:16.03 So that being said, 00:22:16.06\00:22:17.40 I want to kind of actually make something very clear here 00:22:17.43\00:22:19.90 because this is huge. 00:22:19.93\00:22:21.47 There is a gift of interpretation 00:22:21.54\00:22:24.21 and there's a gift of speaking in tongues. 00:22:24.24\00:22:25.67 They're two separate gifts, 00:22:25.71\00:22:27.24 and never do we find evidence in Scripture 00:22:27.28\00:22:29.74 where those two gifts are used at the same time, 00:22:29.78\00:22:32.38 interlocked with each other. 00:22:32.41\00:22:34.08 Let me give an example. 00:22:34.12\00:22:35.45 I grew up and was raised 00:22:35.52\00:22:36.85 in the Apostolic Pentecostal churches 00:22:36.89\00:22:39.29 where someone would get up and they would speak 00:22:39.32\00:22:41.76 in some type of babbling tongue, 00:22:41.79\00:22:44.19 something that no one in the room could understand 00:22:44.23\00:22:46.46 and then moments later, someone else would stand up 00:22:46.49\00:22:48.56 and they would say thus saith the Lord, 00:22:48.60\00:22:50.33 and they would give an interpretation 00:22:50.37\00:22:52.03 and claim that God had given them 00:22:52.07\00:22:53.40 that interpretation. 00:22:53.44\00:22:54.77 We don't see that in the Bible, 00:22:54.80\00:22:56.14 in every single instance Acts 2, Acts 10, Acts 19. 00:22:56.17\00:22:59.67 When God gives the supernatural ability 00:22:59.71\00:23:02.21 for someone to speak in a tongue, 00:23:02.28\00:23:04.75 it is heard and understood by someone else 00:23:04.78\00:23:07.22 within distance of them, 00:23:07.25\00:23:08.72 and there's no need for an interpretation, okay? 00:23:08.75\00:23:11.15 So in that case if someone has been truly given 00:23:11.19\00:23:13.19 the gift of tongues by God, 00:23:13.22\00:23:15.16 there's going to be no need for an interpreter 00:23:15.19\00:23:16.86 because the listeners are going to understand it. 00:23:16.89\00:23:19.49 However, there is the gift of interpretation 00:23:19.53\00:23:22.16 and that means that someone else, 00:23:22.20\00:23:23.80 let's say Pastor Lomacang started speaking in Hindi. 00:23:23.83\00:23:27.07 And, you know, they didn't know Hindi 00:23:27.10\00:23:29.84 but I knew Hindi and God gives me the ability 00:23:29.87\00:23:31.91 to interpret that, 00:23:31.97\00:23:33.31 that's the gift of interpretation, 00:23:33.34\00:23:34.94 so never do we see the gift of tongues 00:23:34.98\00:23:37.05 and interpretation 00:23:37.08\00:23:38.55 exercised together or used together 00:23:38.61\00:23:40.48 because it's redundant, it's kind of unnecessary, 00:23:40.52\00:23:43.02 either he's gonna give the gift of tongues 00:23:43.05\00:23:45.45 for the purpose of communicating the gospel 00:23:45.49\00:23:47.52 to someone in their native tongue, 00:23:47.56\00:23:49.39 or He's going to give someone the gift of interpretation, 00:23:49.42\00:23:52.56 so that they can interpret to two people 00:23:52.59\00:23:55.90 who don't speak the same language 00:23:55.93\00:23:57.27 for the purpose of communicating the gospel. 00:23:57.30\00:23:59.83 I love Acts Chapter 2 there because Acts 2:8, it says, 00:23:59.87\00:24:03.61 "And how is it that we hear each one in our own language 00:24:03.64\00:24:07.01 in which we were born?" 00:24:07.04\00:24:08.44 That was the day that God poured out 00:24:08.48\00:24:10.25 the gift of the Holy Spirit 00:24:10.28\00:24:11.61 for the purpose of communicating the gospel 00:24:11.65\00:24:13.58 and He used the gift of tongues, 00:24:13.62\00:24:15.72 but there's no mention of an interpreter 00:24:15.78\00:24:17.45 there in Acts Chapter 2, 00:24:17.49\00:24:18.85 just like there's not in Acts Chapter 10 00:24:18.89\00:24:21.09 when, with Cornelius's house 00:24:21.12\00:24:22.46 and they're certainly not with the 12 Ephesians disciples 00:24:22.49\00:24:24.79 in Acts Chapter 19. 00:24:24.83\00:24:26.16 So, yes it is a real gift, but they're not used together, 00:24:26.19\00:24:30.07 it's two separate gifts. 00:24:30.10\00:24:31.80 Amen. Amen. 00:24:31.83\00:24:33.44 Pastor Lomacang. 00:24:33.47\00:24:34.80 "Will the Bible still lists recorded sins in heaven? 00:24:34.87\00:24:38.44 All the sins of the past will be erased, 00:24:38.47\00:24:40.88 but will we be able to still read about sins 00:24:40.91\00:24:43.98 made by characters in the Bible? 00:24:44.01\00:24:46.35 I feel bad if we can always read about David's 00:24:46.38\00:24:50.49 and Peter's embarrassing sins 00:24:50.52\00:24:52.12 while every other Christian gets their sins deleted." 00:24:52.15\00:24:55.82 This comes from Derek out of Minneapolis. 00:24:55.86\00:24:57.99 Thank you, Derek, for that question. 00:24:58.03\00:24:59.89 I don't want to be little 00:24:59.93\00:25:01.30 but I want to just say thank the Lord 00:25:01.33\00:25:02.73 that he has a delete button, and from the Bible... 00:25:02.76\00:25:06.57 Bible ensures us. 00:25:06.60\00:25:08.20 I know someone here, a good friend of ours said, 00:25:08.27\00:25:10.87 one of the reasons I want to be saved 00:25:10.91\00:25:12.37 because I want anybody to read about what I used to do. 00:25:12.44\00:25:15.31 And so let me give me encouragement. 00:25:15.34\00:25:17.41 Let me walk you through four scriptures 00:25:17.45\00:25:18.98 that will give us the assurance 00:25:19.01\00:25:20.72 that there's not going to be some... 00:25:20.75\00:25:22.25 Can I, can I, can I, could you have Ryan Day's file. 00:25:22.28\00:25:26.92 I know he's up here, 00:25:26.96\00:25:28.29 but I just want to see what he used to do 00:25:28.32\00:25:29.99 before he met you, 00:25:30.03\00:25:31.36 that's not gonna be the case in heaven. 00:25:31.39\00:25:33.09 Praise the Lord, Ryan. Amen to that, brother. 00:25:33.13\00:25:35.00 1 John 1-9, the Bible says, 00:25:35.03\00:25:36.83 "If we confess our sins, 00:25:36.87\00:25:38.20 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins 00:25:38.27\00:25:42.07 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 00:25:42.14\00:25:45.31 When I wash my car and cleanse it. 00:25:45.34\00:25:47.11 You won't find any soap on it because it's been cleansed. 00:25:47.14\00:25:49.91 Acts 3:19, 00:25:49.94\00:25:51.41 "Repent therefore and be converted, get this, 00:25:51.45\00:25:53.78 that your sins may be blotted out." 00:25:53.82\00:25:56.18 If you spill juice on my rug and I had to clean, 00:25:56.22\00:25:58.02 you don't see the juice any longer. 00:25:58.05\00:25:59.39 That's what blotting out means. 00:25:59.42\00:26:01.16 So the times of refreshing 00:26:01.19\00:26:02.76 may come from the presence of the Lord. 00:26:02.79\00:26:05.16 Micah 7:19, 00:26:05.19\00:26:07.23 "He will again have compassion on us, 00:26:07.30\00:26:10.73 and will subdue our iniquities. 00:26:10.77\00:26:13.94 He will cast our sins into the depths of the sea." 00:26:13.97\00:26:17.24 Hallelujah. 00:26:17.27\00:26:18.61 And I add, "And put out a no fishing sign." 00:26:18.64\00:26:20.64 Hey, Hallelujah. 00:26:20.68\00:26:22.11 Finally, Isaiah 65:17, 00:26:22.18\00:26:25.55 "For behold, 00:26:25.58\00:26:26.98 I create new heavens and the new earth, 00:26:27.02\00:26:29.55 and the former things shall not be remembered 00:26:29.58\00:26:33.42 nor come to mind." 00:26:33.46\00:26:35.76 What did you do on earth? 00:26:35.79\00:26:37.49 I don't remember. 00:26:37.53\00:26:39.26 What did Ryan do on earth? I don't remember. 00:26:39.29\00:26:41.30 It will not be remembered nor even come to mind. 00:26:41.33\00:26:44.93 Hallelujah. Why? 00:26:44.97\00:26:46.30 There'll be no more sorrow, no more death, no more crying, 00:26:46.33\00:26:49.00 neither shall there be any more pain. 00:26:49.04\00:26:50.91 In Nahum 1:9, 00:26:50.94\00:26:52.27 "Affliction will not rise up a second time." 00:26:52.31\00:26:55.18 Amen. So don't worry about it. 00:26:55.24\00:26:56.95 Praise the Lord. 00:26:56.98\00:26:58.31 Accept Christ, you'll be in the clear. 00:26:58.35\00:26:59.68 Praise God. I'm looking forward to that day. 00:26:59.71\00:27:01.12 Amen. It better come soon enough. 00:27:01.15\00:27:03.32 Shelley, "How significant is baptism?" 00:27:03.35\00:27:06.25 Whoa! Okay. 00:27:06.29\00:27:08.06 Christ gave only two ordinances to the church. 00:27:08.09\00:27:11.09 The Lord's Supper 00:27:11.13\00:27:12.46 which acknowledges the death of Christ, 00:27:12.53\00:27:14.73 and baptism which acknowledges His burial 00:27:14.76\00:27:18.53 and resurrection. 00:27:18.57\00:27:20.04 Together, they depict 00:27:20.07\00:27:23.17 and tell the story of Christ atoning work for His people. 00:27:23.20\00:27:28.54 In Matthew 28:18-20, 00:27:28.58\00:27:32.51 Jesus we call is the Great Commission, 00:27:32.55\00:27:35.08 but He commanded His disciples, He said, 00:27:35.12\00:27:38.69 "Go and make disciples in all the nations." 00:27:38.75\00:27:42.42 And He said, 00:27:42.46\00:27:43.79 "Baptizing them in the name of the Father 00:27:43.83\00:27:45.79 and the Son and the Holy Spirit." 00:27:45.83\00:27:48.53 Baptism is a crucial act of obedience. 00:27:48.56\00:27:54.27 If you go to Romans 6, read this tonight, 00:27:54.30\00:27:56.77 Romans 6:3-6. 00:27:56.81\00:27:58.94 You see what baptism is all about. 00:27:58.97\00:28:01.44 Baptism is like the dead, the burial, 00:28:01.48\00:28:03.75 the resurrection of Jesus. 00:28:03.78\00:28:05.61 And so, as Christians, it's an outward visible sign 00:28:05.65\00:28:09.85 of an inward work that God has been doing in us. 00:28:09.88\00:28:13.42 It is a public confession of our faith in Jesus Christ, 00:28:13.46\00:28:18.69 that we have accepted salvation by grace 00:28:18.73\00:28:21.53 that we trust in His forgiveness, 00:28:21.56\00:28:23.67 that the penalty has been paid. 00:28:23.70\00:28:25.70 As we are fully buried in the water, 00:28:25.73\00:28:29.37 we are burying our past, if you will, 00:28:29.40\00:28:32.67 and we come up in resurrection of new life 00:28:32.71\00:28:37.75 to walk in that newness of life, 00:28:37.78\00:28:40.12 empowered by the Spirit. 00:28:40.15\00:28:42.68 Baptism is crucial. 00:28:42.72\00:28:45.62 It is the sign of the New Covenant, 00:28:45.65\00:28:49.92 that we have a circumcised heart. 00:28:49.96\00:28:53.50 Now, the thief on the cross couldn't be baptized. 00:28:53.53\00:28:57.23 But if you are a Christian, and you have accepted Christ, 00:28:57.27\00:29:01.34 you should seek 00:29:01.37\00:29:02.77 the very first opportunity possible 00:29:02.80\00:29:05.54 to be baptized. 00:29:05.57\00:29:06.91 Amen. Amen. 00:29:06.94\00:29:08.28 And I'm glad that you touched on the thief on the cross too 00:29:08.31\00:29:10.01 because that question comes up a lot as well. 00:29:10.05\00:29:13.01 Pastor Day, Leviticus 3:17, 00:29:13.05\00:29:16.75 "If we do eat meat, 00:29:16.79\00:29:18.65 should we not eat rare meat or bloody meat or fat? 00:29:18.72\00:29:23.66 Absolutely. 00:29:23.69\00:29:25.03 And then that Leviticus 3:17 makes that very, very clear 00:29:25.06\00:29:29.53 as far as the blood aspect of things, 00:29:29.56\00:29:31.80 it makes it very clear, 00:29:31.87\00:29:33.20 in fact, I'll just read it here, 00:29:33.23\00:29:34.57 Leviticus 3:17 says, 00:29:34.60\00:29:35.94 "This shall be a perpetual statute 00:29:35.97\00:29:37.31 throughout your generations 00:29:37.34\00:29:38.67 in all your dwellings 00:29:38.71\00:29:40.04 that you shall eat neither fat nor blood." 00:29:40.08\00:29:42.81 So it covers both of them there very, very clearly. 00:29:42.84\00:29:45.48 And so, yeah when you have those certain meats 00:29:45.55\00:29:47.88 where people, I mean they choose 00:29:47.92\00:29:49.48 the bloodiest part of the animal 00:29:49.52\00:29:50.89 and then they don't put it through its proper processes 00:29:50.92\00:29:53.12 and trying to get rid of that blood and that fat, 00:29:53.15\00:29:55.26 but rather some people just 00:29:55.29\00:29:56.62 throw it on a grill or throw it in a pan 00:29:56.66\00:29:57.99 and they'll sear it, 00:29:58.03\00:29:59.36 and then in the middle of it, 00:29:59.43\00:30:00.76 it's just drenching and blood and it's marbled in fat. 00:30:00.80\00:30:02.73 We have to be very careful 00:30:02.76\00:30:04.10 because the Bible makes it very clear that 00:30:04.13\00:30:05.47 God, there's these, there's a certain meaning 00:30:05.53\00:30:08.70 behind these things. 00:30:08.74\00:30:10.07 For instance, let's considered the blood for a moment. 00:30:10.11\00:30:11.81 Leviticus 17:11 tells us, 00:30:11.87\00:30:14.41 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, 00:30:14.44\00:30:16.78 and I have given it to you upon the altar, 00:30:16.81\00:30:19.61 notice, not for food but upon the altar, 00:30:19.65\00:30:21.62 to make atonement for your souls 00:30:21.65\00:30:23.05 for it is the blood 00:30:23.08\00:30:24.42 that makes atonement for your soul." 00:30:24.45\00:30:26.29 So that was to be offered as an offering for atonement, 00:30:26.32\00:30:29.52 not necessarily for you to ingest or to digest. 00:30:29.56\00:30:32.79 Also Leviticus 4:35 referring to the fat, okay? 00:30:32.83\00:30:36.60 It says, 00:30:36.63\00:30:37.97 "He shall remove all its fat 00:30:38.00\00:30:39.73 as the fat of the lamb 00:30:39.77\00:30:41.10 is removed from the sacrifice of the peace offering. 00:30:41.14\00:30:43.10 Then the priest shall burn it up on the altar, 00:30:43.14\00:30:45.44 according to the offerings made by fire to the Lord. 00:30:45.47\00:30:47.94 So the priest shall make atonement for his sin, 00:30:47.98\00:30:51.15 that has that he has committed and it shall be forgiven him." 00:30:51.18\00:30:54.98 And, of course, tie that to Leviticus 16:25, which says, 00:30:55.02\00:30:58.82 "The fat of the sin offering he shall burn up on the altar. 00:30:58.85\00:31:02.16 So this was a sin offering, it's representative of sin, 00:31:02.19\00:31:05.23 and of course, these are things that, again, Leviticus 3:17, 00:31:05.29\00:31:08.83 I believe is very, very clear. 00:31:08.86\00:31:10.47 And so when we make our food choices, 00:31:10.50\00:31:12.60 if you are a meat eater 00:31:12.63\00:31:13.97 and you do choose to eat even those clean meats 00:31:14.00\00:31:16.60 that God has said is permissible for you to eat, 00:31:16.64\00:31:19.44 then in that case make sure you're choosing 00:31:19.47\00:31:21.34 and properly preparing these things 00:31:21.38\00:31:23.75 to where you're not consuming the blood, or the fat 00:31:23.78\00:31:26.38 of that animal. 00:31:26.41\00:31:27.75 Amen. Thank you. 00:31:27.78\00:31:29.68 Pastor Lomacang, 00:31:29.72\00:31:31.05 "Is it possible 00:31:31.09\00:31:32.42 that even though the Bible 00:31:32.45\00:31:33.79 does not seem to indicate for sure 00:31:33.82\00:31:35.92 that Joseph and Mary could have had another child 00:31:35.99\00:31:38.86 or children after Jesus?" 00:31:38.89\00:31:41.60 And then it said, 00:31:41.63\00:31:42.96 "Air hugs to pastor Lomacang knows who I am." 00:31:43.00\00:31:46.13 This is Rhonda from Minnesota. 00:31:46.17\00:31:48.17 How you doing, Rhonda really? 00:31:48.20\00:31:49.74 I have a few Rhonda in our lives from churches 00:31:49.77\00:31:52.11 and even when I was in the Heritage Singers, 00:31:52.14\00:31:53.61 so I got to figure out which one that is, 00:31:53.64\00:31:55.78 but praise the Lord, 00:31:55.81\00:31:57.71 you know, let me just go and begin 00:31:57.75\00:31:59.08 with the obvious answer 00:31:59.15\00:32:00.55 Joseph was not a natural father of Jesus. 00:32:00.58\00:32:02.98 The Bible makes it very, very clear. 00:32:03.02\00:32:04.99 It says Matthew 1:21, 00:32:05.02\00:32:07.89 "She will bring forth a son 00:32:07.92\00:32:09.89 and you shall call His name Jesus, 00:32:09.92\00:32:12.19 for He will save His people from their sins." 00:32:12.26\00:32:14.40 But it also says Matthew 1:18, 00:32:14.46\00:32:18.00 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows 00:32:18.03\00:32:21.04 after his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, 00:32:21.07\00:32:24.37 that's engage, a little more advance than engage, 00:32:24.41\00:32:27.01 before they came together, 00:32:27.04\00:32:28.38 before they had sexual relation, 00:32:28.41\00:32:29.74 she was found with child of the Holy Spirit." 00:32:29.78\00:32:32.75 So Joseph is not the natural father of Jesus. 00:32:32.78\00:32:36.92 And the Bible made it clear in Matthew 1:24, 00:32:36.95\00:32:39.32 that verse 25 He did not know her 00:32:39.39\00:32:41.86 until she brought forth her firstborn son. 00:32:41.89\00:32:45.09 Now the reason why it says firstborn, 00:32:45.13\00:32:47.66 it would have said only son, 00:32:47.66\00:32:49.00 but first one is significant 00:32:49.06\00:32:50.40 because you find Jesus did have siblings. 00:32:50.43\00:32:52.77 Let me go ahead and give you some examples. 00:32:52.83\00:32:54.70 Mark 6:3, the Bible says, 00:32:54.74\00:32:58.37 "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, 00:32:58.41\00:33:01.94 the brother of James, Joses, 00:33:02.01\00:33:05.45 and of Judah, and Simon. 00:33:05.48\00:33:07.52 It mentions four brothers but it didn't stop, 00:33:07.55\00:33:10.19 and are not His sisters here with us." 00:33:10.22\00:33:14.52 So it says that Jesus had James, Joses, Judah, 00:33:14.56\00:33:19.33 some translations say Judas, 00:33:19.36\00:33:21.30 but it's in fact that's Jude and Simon, 00:33:21.33\00:33:24.50 so it mentions four brothers. 00:33:24.53\00:33:26.40 Let's go to Galatians 1:19, 00:33:26.43\00:33:29.20 Paul the Apostle also makes this connection 00:33:29.24\00:33:32.17 that Jesus was not an only child. 00:33:32.21\00:33:34.94 It says, 00:33:34.98\00:33:36.31 "But I saw no, I saw none of the other apostles, 00:33:36.34\00:33:40.75 except James, the Lord's brother." 00:33:40.78\00:33:44.05 So clearly, and then we find Jude 1. 00:33:44.09\00:33:46.39 It says, 00:33:46.42\00:33:47.76 "Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, 00:33:47.79\00:33:52.03 and brother of James." 00:33:52.09\00:33:54.00 So James is his brother, 00:33:54.00\00:33:56.03 Jesus Christ is his brother also. 00:33:56.06\00:33:58.50 And finally, Acts 1:14, it says, 00:33:58.53\00:34:01.77 "All these continued with one accord in prayer 00:34:01.80\00:34:04.74 and supplication, with them, with a woman, 00:34:04.77\00:34:07.94 and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers." 00:34:07.98\00:34:13.52 So the Bible makes it very, very clear. 00:34:13.55\00:34:15.25 So here's the siblings of Jesus. 00:34:15.28\00:34:17.72 James, Joses, Simon, Judah, also known as Jude, 00:34:17.75\00:34:22.92 and at least two sisters, so He did have siblings. 00:34:22.96\00:34:26.90 Amen. Amen. Amen. 00:34:26.93\00:34:29.63 Shelley, we're coming to you on this one. 00:34:29.66\00:34:31.90 This is precious. 00:34:31.93\00:34:33.27 "I'm 12 years old, and I love reading my Bible. 00:34:33.30\00:34:35.97 Praise God. 00:34:36.00\00:34:37.34 But I noticed Jesus always says He's coming back, 00:34:37.37\00:34:40.68 but it's been centuries. 00:34:40.71\00:34:42.41 I believe in Christ 100%, but if He's coming back, 00:34:42.44\00:34:45.68 why hasn't He?" 00:34:45.71\00:34:47.05 This comes from Daisy. 00:34:47.08\00:34:48.42 Oh, darling, Daisy, I am so proud of you, honey. 00:34:48.45\00:34:51.65 In 2 Peter 3:8, 00:34:51.69\00:34:54.36 the Bible says that a thousand years 00:34:54.39\00:34:57.69 is like a day to the Lord. 00:34:57.73\00:34:59.79 You know God is perfect in wisdom and knowledge, 00:34:59.83\00:35:02.66 and we got to trust His timing. 00:35:02.70\00:35:05.60 Did you know that 00:35:05.63\00:35:07.24 when Adam and Eve were in the garden, 00:35:07.27\00:35:10.27 God announced that the Messiah would be coming? 00:35:10.31\00:35:13.58 And look how long it took for the Messiah, 00:35:13.61\00:35:17.71 Jesus Christ to arrive. 00:35:17.75\00:35:20.22 It took thousands of years, 00:35:20.25\00:35:22.45 and even His arrival time was prophesied. 00:35:22.48\00:35:27.92 Daniel 9:24-25, we knew exactly when He was coming. 00:35:27.96\00:35:33.63 But the Apostle Paul says it this way in Galatians 4-4. 00:35:33.66\00:35:38.77 He said, "In the fullness of time." 00:35:38.80\00:35:42.67 What that means, Daisy, 00:35:42.74\00:35:44.07 is that God has a perfect timing. 00:35:44.11\00:35:47.28 He knew exactly when Jesus should come. 00:35:47.31\00:35:49.91 He knew when the world would be ready 00:35:49.94\00:35:53.05 to hear Him 00:35:53.08\00:35:54.92 and now He's waiting for the fullness of time 00:35:54.95\00:35:57.45 for His second coming. 00:35:57.49\00:35:58.82 What's God waiting for? 00:35:58.89\00:36:00.69 Matthew 24:14, 00:36:00.72\00:36:02.62 "God's waiting for the gospel to go to all the world." 00:36:02.66\00:36:05.69 2 Peter 3:9 says that, 00:36:05.76\00:36:08.10 "God is waiting patiently for people to repent. 00:36:08.13\00:36:12.10 He doesn't want anyone to perish." 00:36:12.13\00:36:14.20 In John 13:35, it says that, 00:36:14.24\00:36:18.57 "God is waiting for Christians 00:36:18.61\00:36:21.24 to be known by their love that 00:36:21.28\00:36:23.71 they're supposed to be loving everyone." 00:36:23.75\00:36:26.45 And Matthew 24:36 says that, 00:36:26.48\00:36:30.15 "We're waiting for God's perfect time 00:36:30.19\00:36:32.15 to be fulfilled." 00:36:32.19\00:36:33.52 Jesus said, 00:36:33.56\00:36:34.89 "Of that day and hour, no one knows, 00:36:34.92\00:36:36.96 not even the angels in heaven, but my Father only." 00:36:36.99\00:36:41.26 But Hebrews 7:25 tells us that, 00:36:41.30\00:36:44.80 "While Jesus is waiting. 00:36:44.83\00:36:46.84 He's not just sitting by, Daisy. 00:36:46.87\00:36:49.00 It says that, 00:36:49.04\00:36:50.37 "He is interceding, He is praying for you, 00:36:50.41\00:36:53.17 and He is able to save you completely." 00:36:53.21\00:36:56.04 And then one day He's gonna stand up and say, 00:36:56.08\00:36:59.01 "Behold, I come quickly." 00:36:59.05\00:37:01.82 Amen. Amen. Well said. 00:37:01.85\00:37:03.85 Praise God for that intercession. 00:37:03.89\00:37:05.69 Amen. 00:37:05.72\00:37:07.06 Pastor Day, 00:37:07.09\00:37:08.42 "Should we have communion once a year 00:37:08.46\00:37:09.86 at Passover as Christ did, 00:37:09.89\00:37:11.29 or should we have it as often as we feel?" 00:37:11.33\00:37:13.86 This comes from Veronica out of Tampa. 00:37:13.90\00:37:15.76 Yeah, that's a great question, Veronica. 00:37:15.80\00:37:17.87 I actually want to give you two answers 00:37:17.90\00:37:20.27 to the two parts of your question. 00:37:20.30\00:37:22.40 The first answer would be, "No" to the Passover 00:37:22.44\00:37:25.11 and "Yes" to as often as Christ said, 00:37:25.14\00:37:27.48 "As often as you do it, 00:37:27.51\00:37:28.84 do it in remembrance of Me." 00:37:28.88\00:37:30.21 Let's go back to the Passover point. 00:37:30.25\00:37:31.58 Any Christian, again, 00:37:31.61\00:37:33.15 that professes Christ as their Savior. 00:37:33.21\00:37:35.68 If that person is doing or taking communion 00:37:35.72\00:37:40.62 in connection with Passover, 00:37:40.66\00:37:42.36 then they're kind of shooting themselves in the foot per se, 00:37:42.42\00:37:44.66 because you're pretty much denying 00:37:44.69\00:37:46.49 the work that Christ has done, 00:37:46.53\00:37:48.06 in the sense that you're acknowledging Passover 00:37:48.10\00:37:50.33 which Christ has already fulfilled. 00:37:50.37\00:37:52.90 You know, the fact that 00:37:52.93\00:37:54.34 the Passover date still exists every year 00:37:54.37\00:37:57.51 that's according to the Jewish Orthodox religious calendar, 00:37:57.54\00:38:00.48 and the fact that that Jewish Orthodox religious calendar 00:38:00.51\00:38:02.88 even exists is a witness to the fact that 00:38:02.91\00:38:05.61 that entire nation, 00:38:05.65\00:38:06.98 that series of Jewish Orthodox religion, 00:38:07.02\00:38:09.68 we're talking about that original Judaistic religion, 00:38:09.72\00:38:12.15 they deny Jesus Christ as Messiah, 00:38:12.19\00:38:14.16 they deny Jesus Christ as the Son of God. 00:38:14.19\00:38:16.86 And so in that case if you are keeping up 00:38:16.89\00:38:18.96 with that Jewish religious calendar to do it 00:38:18.99\00:38:21.66 as you think you're doing it in following Christ's example. 00:38:21.70\00:38:24.07 You have to remember, 00:38:24.10\00:38:25.43 Christ did it because 00:38:25.47\00:38:26.80 He had not yet fulfilled it all. 00:38:26.84\00:38:28.17 He had not yet went to the cross 00:38:28.20\00:38:29.57 as that Passover lamb, 00:38:29.60\00:38:31.21 but if you're going to keep Passover 00:38:31.24\00:38:32.84 according to the way it should be, 00:38:32.87\00:38:34.31 you have to have the lamb, you'd have to shed blood. 00:38:34.34\00:38:36.71 And, of course, Jesus Christ as John the Baptist said 00:38:36.75\00:38:39.38 when Jesus was coming in John 1:29, 00:38:39.41\00:38:42.02 "Behold the Lamb of God 00:38:42.05\00:38:43.52 who takes away the sin of the world." 00:38:43.55\00:38:44.89 Jesus has already fulfilled that. 00:38:44.92\00:38:47.06 Even the great Jewish historian Josephus 00:38:47.09\00:38:49.99 records in his writings that when Christ died on the cross, 00:38:50.03\00:38:53.26 that when that veil was rent in the temple, 00:38:53.29\00:38:56.13 that the high priest that Caiaphas came out screaming, 00:38:56.20\00:38:58.73 "Ichabod Ichabod, 00:38:58.77\00:39:00.17 the glory of the Lord had left the temple." 00:39:00.20\00:39:01.84 He had dropped the knife and the lamb escape 00:39:01.87\00:39:04.21 because Jesus Christ was that sacrifice 00:39:04.24\00:39:06.98 so no, do not keep or take communion 00:39:07.01\00:39:09.84 in honor or in connection with Passover 00:39:09.91\00:39:12.01 because that's kind of redundant 00:39:12.05\00:39:13.38 and unnecessary. 00:39:13.42\00:39:14.75 Christ has fulfilled that He is our lamb, 00:39:14.78\00:39:17.19 and, yes, you should do it 00:39:17.22\00:39:18.55 in accordance with 1 Corinthians 11, 00:39:18.59\00:39:20.32 as Pastor mentioned earlier, verse 25 and 26, 00:39:20.36\00:39:23.09 "As often as you do it, do it in remembrance of Jesus." 00:39:23.12\00:39:26.56 Amen. Thank you Pastor Day. 00:39:26.59\00:39:28.46 Pastor Lomacang, 00:39:28.50\00:39:29.83 "Was Leah, the wife, chosen by God for Jacob, 00:39:29.90\00:39:33.54 or was it Rachel? 00:39:33.57\00:39:35.14 I know polygamy was not sanctioned by God, 00:39:35.17\00:39:37.87 even though he allowed it. 00:39:37.91\00:39:39.61 Without Leah, we wouldn't have Judah, 00:39:39.64\00:39:42.14 in which tribe Jesus came through." 00:39:42.18\00:39:44.21 This comes from Judine from Jamaica. 00:39:44.25\00:39:48.42 I like this question, Judine, for I'm in a similar situation, 00:39:48.45\00:39:53.99 I was born out of wedlock. 00:39:54.02\00:39:56.66 But look at me today, 00:39:56.69\00:39:58.16 and I want to make this point by going on and saying, 00:39:58.19\00:40:01.20 it shows, and I'm going to give you the lineage. 00:40:01.23\00:40:04.43 I'm going to give a talk about where the children came from, 00:40:04.47\00:40:06.37 who the woman was, 00:40:06.43\00:40:07.77 it shows that God still works in spite of our choices, 00:40:07.80\00:40:12.24 not in support of our choices. 00:40:12.27\00:40:14.21 Hallelujah. 00:40:14.24\00:40:15.58 And this is something that we have to keep in mind 00:40:15.61\00:40:18.21 while God does not support polygamy, 00:40:18.25\00:40:20.65 you go back and you see, 00:40:20.68\00:40:22.02 by the time of Lamech 00:40:22.05\00:40:23.42 polygamy began to enter into the world, 00:40:23.45\00:40:25.42 and it was highly practiced. 00:40:25.45\00:40:27.09 One of the biggest transgressors 00:40:27.12\00:40:30.03 in that area was Solomon. 00:40:30.06\00:40:32.23 He loved many strange women. 00:40:32.26\00:40:35.20 What a life, 00:40:35.23\00:40:36.56 but the Lord 00:40:36.63\00:40:38.30 while He did not honor polygamy 00:40:38.33\00:40:40.34 He honored every child that Jacob had. 00:40:40.37\00:40:45.24 Let's look at how many children he had, 00:40:45.27\00:40:47.64 and from whom they came. 00:40:47.68\00:40:50.55 We know that Rachel had a difficulty bearing a child, 00:40:50.58\00:40:53.78 and she was without child. 00:40:53.82\00:40:58.09 Leah was not that attractive but the Lord looked upon her, 00:40:58.12\00:41:02.02 and opened her wound, and she bore six, 00:41:02.06\00:41:05.43 she bore Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, 00:41:05.46\00:41:10.23 Issachar and Zebulun, six children. 00:41:10.27\00:41:13.57 Then Zilpah, 00:41:13.60\00:41:15.40 which is Leah's maid Gad, and Asher. 00:41:15.44\00:41:19.14 Then Bilhah, Dan and Naphtali, 00:41:19.17\00:41:24.15 and then Rachel finally had two sons, 00:41:24.18\00:41:26.48 which is Joseph and Benjamin. 00:41:26.51\00:41:30.09 Benjamin unfortunately was the last one. 00:41:30.12\00:41:33.22 He was called Benoni. 00:41:33.25\00:41:36.69 She named him Benoni, before she died. 00:41:36.73\00:41:39.39 But Jacob called him Benjamin. 00:41:39.46\00:41:41.73 So, four women, 12 sons. 00:41:41.76\00:41:45.30 Once again, God did not support the method, 00:41:45.33\00:41:48.44 but God chose and supported the children. 00:41:48.47\00:41:51.71 Amen. Amen. Praise the Lord. 00:41:51.74\00:41:53.51 Thank you, great, great saying. 00:41:53.54\00:41:55.01 We are entering into our bonus round, 00:41:55.04\00:41:59.05 so I will throw out some questions 00:41:59.08\00:42:01.22 and whoever chooses to answer may do so. 00:42:01.25\00:42:04.59 "Where are we in terms of the seals?" 00:42:04.62\00:42:07.46 This comes from Diane. 00:42:07.49\00:42:11.43 Go ahead. 00:42:11.46\00:42:12.79 Well, I'll give what I've have studied 00:42:12.86\00:42:14.46 and what I understand 00:42:14.46\00:42:15.80 as being and of course pastor can clean it up 00:42:15.83\00:42:17.50 and correct me if on anything that I may miss, miss, 00:42:17.53\00:42:19.80 please speak on. 00:42:19.87\00:42:21.20 I personally after studying the seals through 00:42:21.24\00:42:22.87 because we did a few years ago we done. 00:42:22.94\00:42:25.17 I think it was a couple of years ago 00:42:25.21\00:42:26.54 we did whole Sabbath School lesson 00:42:26.61\00:42:27.94 on the Book of Revelation. 00:42:27.98\00:42:29.31 And I believe we're in that transitioning period 00:42:29.34\00:42:31.91 soon from the fifth seal into the sixth seal, 00:42:31.95\00:42:34.78 and when you get to the sixth seal 00:42:34.82\00:42:36.15 and you read the contents of it, 00:42:36.22\00:42:37.55 it clearly within the context of this coming of Christ. 00:42:37.59\00:42:40.22 For instance, if you read there, 00:42:40.26\00:42:41.59 it talks about these cosmic disturbances, 00:42:41.62\00:42:43.76 I looked in... 00:42:43.79\00:42:45.13 This is Revelation Chapter 6, I apologize for that. 00:42:45.16\00:42:47.56 Revelation Chapter 6 beginning with verse 12, 00:42:47.60\00:42:50.23 so, again, that fifth seal 00:42:50.27\00:42:51.87 as you see the souls on the altar 00:42:51.90\00:42:53.37 crying out for justice, 00:42:53.44\00:42:54.77 God, you know, bring justice to us 00:42:54.80\00:42:57.61 and He says sleep a little longer. 00:42:57.64\00:42:59.67 But then as it's transitioning into the sixth seal, 00:42:59.71\00:43:02.24 look what happens in verse 12, it says, 00:43:02.28\00:43:03.78 "I looked when he opened the sixth seal 00:43:03.81\00:43:05.55 and behold there was a great earthquake 00:43:05.58\00:43:06.98 and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, 00:43:07.02\00:43:09.92 and the moon became like blood 00:43:09.95\00:43:11.45 and the stars of heaven fell from the earth 00:43:11.49\00:43:13.29 as a fig tree drops its late figs 00:43:13.32\00:43:15.52 when it is shaken by a mighty wind." 00:43:15.56\00:43:18.23 Then, okay, we'll stop there for a moment 00:43:18.26\00:43:19.93 so all of that, some people look 00:43:19.96\00:43:21.36 and they compare that to Matthew 24 00:43:21.40\00:43:23.30 and they say, oh, that's the same thing 00:43:23.37\00:43:24.70 that happened back, 00:43:24.73\00:43:26.07 you know, during that Dark Ages time period 00:43:26.10\00:43:27.67 after we were transitioning out of the Dark Ages, 00:43:27.70\00:43:29.90 you know, before the 1844 time period, 00:43:29.94\00:43:32.44 and that indeed did happen. 00:43:32.47\00:43:33.91 We did have see the moon turn as blood and the sun 00:43:33.94\00:43:35.94 didn't give its light and the stars fall from heaven, 00:43:35.98\00:43:37.85 but in this instance 00:43:37.88\00:43:39.21 I believe this is within the context 00:43:39.25\00:43:40.58 of the very last events 00:43:40.62\00:43:42.15 prior to the Second Coming of Jesus. 00:43:42.18\00:43:43.62 I believe we're gonna see these things happen 00:43:43.65\00:43:45.45 once again on a very large global scale. 00:43:45.49\00:43:48.12 And so when you get to verse 14, 00:43:48.16\00:43:49.82 notice what happens immediately following these events. 00:43:49.86\00:43:51.99 It says, 00:43:52.03\00:43:53.40 "In the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up 00:43:53.43\00:43:55.20 and every mountain and island 00:43:55.23\00:43:56.56 was moved away out of its place. 00:43:56.63\00:43:58.13 And the kings of the earth and the great men, 00:43:58.17\00:43:59.80 the rich men and the commanders, 00:43:59.83\00:44:01.24 the mighty men, 00:44:01.27\00:44:02.64 every slave and every free man hid themselves in the caves, 00:44:02.67\00:44:05.57 and in the rocks of the mountains." 00:44:05.61\00:44:07.21 I believe this was during that great Revelation 16 time period 00:44:07.24\00:44:11.78 when those plagues are being poured out. 00:44:11.81\00:44:13.55 But then notice what also happens it says, 00:44:13.62\00:44:15.05 "And said to the mountains and the rocks, 00:44:15.08\00:44:17.25 'Fall on us the weeping and the gnashing of teeth, 00:44:17.29\00:44:19.99 fall on us and hide us from the face of Him 00:44:20.06\00:44:22.02 who sits on the throne 00:44:22.06\00:44:23.43 and from the wrath of the Lamb." 00:44:23.46\00:44:25.16 That wrath of the Lamb, 00:44:25.19\00:44:26.53 that is the Revelation 16 plagues. 00:44:26.59\00:44:28.33 Now verse 17, 00:44:28.36\00:44:29.73 "For the great day of His wrath, 00:44:29.76\00:44:31.10 notice, has come, and who is able to stand." 00:44:31.13\00:44:34.74 I believe this is approaching, 00:44:34.77\00:44:36.81 this is approaching that time period 00:44:36.87\00:44:38.44 right before the Second Coming of Christ. 00:44:38.47\00:44:40.58 This is during that time 00:44:40.61\00:44:41.94 when the wrath of God is being poured out 00:44:41.98\00:44:43.91 from those seven vials in Revelation Chapter 16 00:44:43.95\00:44:46.78 and the sky is receding as a scroll 00:44:46.82\00:44:49.85 because Christ is about to return. 00:44:49.88\00:44:52.39 Amen. Wonderful, wonderful. 00:44:52.42\00:44:54.62 Anybody want to add to that? 00:44:54.66\00:44:56.52 I just wanted to go back real quickly 00:44:56.59\00:44:57.93 and add a text to what I talked about 00:44:57.96\00:44:59.29 all those sons of Jacob. 00:44:59.33\00:45:01.83 Romans 8:28, 00:45:01.86\00:45:03.20 "We know that all things work together for good 00:45:03.26\00:45:04.70 to those who love God 00:45:04.73\00:45:06.10 and are called according to His purpose." 00:45:06.13\00:45:07.74 Jacob surely was a call according to God's purpose, 00:45:07.77\00:45:10.91 definitely. 00:45:10.94\00:45:12.27 Amen. Yeah. 00:45:12.31\00:45:13.64 I just want to add one too 00:45:13.68\00:45:15.01 because we were talking about those 00:45:15.04\00:45:16.51 who are running and hiding. 00:45:16.54\00:45:18.71 But in Isaiah 25:9, it says, 00:45:18.75\00:45:23.25 "And it will be said in that day, 00:45:23.28\00:45:24.85 these are the believers in the Lord, 00:45:24.89\00:45:27.09 even though some are running and hiding." 00:45:27.12\00:45:29.72 What we're going to be saying is, 00:45:29.79\00:45:31.76 "Behold, this is our God. 00:45:31.79\00:45:35.80 We have waited for Him, and He will save us. 00:45:35.83\00:45:40.80 This is the Lord." 00:45:40.84\00:45:42.17 So that is precious to me too. 00:45:42.20\00:45:45.21 Amen. Amen. 00:45:45.24\00:45:47.11 "Why does God choose to heal some people but not others?" 00:45:47.14\00:45:50.35 This comes from Carla, out of Michigan. 00:45:50.38\00:45:53.38 Sovereignty, 00:45:53.45\00:45:54.78 that's something we can't question 00:45:54.82\00:45:56.22 God's sovereignty. 00:45:56.25\00:45:58.25 You know, He says in James, 00:45:58.29\00:45:59.62 "If anyone among you is sick, let him call for the elders, 00:45:59.69\00:46:01.82 let them pray over him, 00:46:01.86\00:46:03.22 and the prayer of faith will save the sick 00:46:03.26\00:46:05.29 and if he has committed any sins, 00:46:05.33\00:46:07.13 He will raise him, He would forgive him 00:46:07.20\00:46:09.13 and raise him up at the last day." 00:46:09.16\00:46:10.93 I always like what Mollie said 00:46:10.97\00:46:12.30 and Mollie is resting in Jesus now. 00:46:12.33\00:46:14.54 Mollie was a lady who we all respected, highly, 00:46:14.57\00:46:18.24 she had a lot of Mollie-isms 00:46:18.27\00:46:19.61 and she had cancer and she said, 00:46:19.64\00:46:21.81 "Well, God is going to heal me, one way or another, 00:46:21.84\00:46:25.15 either now or in the resurrections." 00:46:25.18\00:46:26.58 That's right. 00:46:26.65\00:46:27.98 And there are some people that God lays to rest 00:46:28.02\00:46:29.72 for a particular reason. 00:46:29.75\00:46:31.22 But I want to read Isaiah 57:1-2, 00:46:31.25\00:46:34.99 and I wanna read this in the NIV. 00:46:35.02\00:46:37.83 This is a passage 00:46:37.86\00:46:39.26 that a lot of people don't really take into consideration. 00:46:39.29\00:46:42.13 Isaiah 57, 00:46:42.16\00:46:43.87 and this is something that comes 00:46:43.90\00:46:45.23 because of God's merciful heart, 00:46:45.27\00:46:47.87 and I'm reading this in the NIV for a particular reason 00:46:47.90\00:46:50.41 because I love the way it says it 00:46:50.44\00:46:52.67 whether you support that translation or not. 00:46:52.71\00:46:55.18 This is Isaiah 57:1, 00:46:55.21\00:46:57.25 "The righteous perish 00:46:57.28\00:46:58.61 and no one ponders in His heart, 00:46:58.65\00:47:00.72 devout men are taken away, 00:47:00.75\00:47:02.88 and no one understands 00:47:02.95\00:47:04.52 that the righteous are taken away 00:47:04.55\00:47:06.62 to be spared from evil." 00:47:06.69\00:47:10.16 There are some people that are not ready physically 00:47:10.19\00:47:13.23 to handle what's coming down the road. 00:47:13.26\00:47:14.56 That's right. 00:47:14.60\00:47:15.93 And you know we don't have a clue, 00:47:15.96\00:47:17.30 but we do know that it's going to be a time of trouble 00:47:17.33\00:47:18.70 such as never was. 00:47:18.73\00:47:20.07 And for those who God knows in His sovereignty 00:47:20.14\00:47:22.57 are not able to handle that, 00:47:22.60\00:47:24.51 even if it was 100 years ago, 00:47:24.54\00:47:26.47 God sees the end from the beginning, 00:47:26.51\00:47:28.61 and sometimes God's mercy means 00:47:28.64\00:47:30.35 I'm gonna laid to rest now 00:47:30.38\00:47:32.45 like He did for my brother's wife 00:47:32.48\00:47:34.18 when she died at 34 years old. 00:47:34.22\00:47:36.38 She came back to life, 00:47:36.42\00:47:37.75 literally after being declared dead for 15 minutes 00:47:37.79\00:47:40.36 and she said, as everybody was crying, 00:47:40.39\00:47:42.72 why didn't God heal you and she told my brother, 00:47:42.76\00:47:45.26 "God allow me to be laid to rest now 00:47:45.29\00:47:47.20 so that I would not go back out in the world, 00:47:47.23\00:47:49.13 I'll see you in the morning." 00:47:49.16\00:47:50.67 Amen. 00:47:50.70\00:47:52.03 So verse 2 says of Isaiah 57, 00:47:52.07\00:47:55.34 "Those who walk uprightly enter into peace. 00:47:55.37\00:47:58.94 They find rest, as they lie in death." 00:47:58.97\00:48:01.88 So God is sovereign. 00:48:01.91\00:48:04.15 One day there's gonna be no more death until then, 00:48:04.18\00:48:06.31 only God understands how this whole thing works. 00:48:06.35\00:48:08.48 Amen. Amen. 00:48:08.52\00:48:09.88 I'd like to just add something to that 00:48:09.92\00:48:12.02 that takes it a little bit different direction. 00:48:12.05\00:48:14.56 It totally agrees with what you're saying 00:48:14.59\00:48:16.26 but you know there are people who say, if you're not healed, 00:48:16.32\00:48:20.60 you don't have enough faith, it has nothing to do with that. 00:48:20.63\00:48:24.27 You'll recall in the Book of Acts, 00:48:24.30\00:48:26.90 that God used Paul 00:48:26.94\00:48:29.90 in such an amazing way to heal 00:48:29.97\00:48:33.07 that even he had a little hanky. 00:48:33.14\00:48:36.11 And he touched it, and they took it out, 00:48:36.14\00:48:38.95 and it would heal people. 00:48:38.98\00:48:40.75 So Paul, people say, 00:48:40.78\00:48:42.12 "Oh, Paul had the gift of healing." 00:48:42.15\00:48:44.22 Listen to this. 00:48:44.25\00:48:45.75 Paul is writing in 2 Timothy Chapter 20, 00:48:45.79\00:48:49.99 he's finishing, I mean, 2 Timothy 4:20, 00:48:50.03\00:48:55.36 he's finishing up his letter to Timothy 00:48:55.40\00:48:57.23 saying greet so and so. 00:48:57.27\00:48:59.13 But then listen to what he says, 00:48:59.17\00:49:01.47 "Erastus stayed in Corinth, 00:49:01.50\00:49:04.17 but Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick." 00:49:04.21\00:49:10.21 So, just, you know, the Apostle Paul 00:49:10.25\00:49:14.08 who was used for healing. 00:49:14.12\00:49:16.89 And you know he prayed for this work for Trophimus 00:49:16.95\00:49:21.46 to be healed 00:49:21.49\00:49:22.96 yet as you said, God's sovereign will, 00:49:22.99\00:49:26.39 for some reason, Trophimus wasn't heal. 00:49:26.46\00:49:30.20 We have to trust that 00:49:30.23\00:49:31.57 God knows the end from the beginning 00:49:31.60\00:49:34.27 and just trust. 00:49:34.30\00:49:35.64 Sure, I just want to add to that, 00:49:35.67\00:49:37.04 you know, again, just kind of a third element, 00:49:37.07\00:49:38.87 and that is you know sometimes the Lord cannot heal a person 00:49:38.91\00:49:43.08 because of their own rebellious choices in lifestyle. 00:49:43.11\00:49:46.55 Let me give you, for example, 00:49:46.58\00:49:48.72 there I've met many people 00:49:48.75\00:49:50.35 who have heard the truth in regards to 00:49:50.42\00:49:52.65 what God has declared to be clean and unclean, 00:49:52.69\00:49:54.79 and yet they still say, well, 00:49:54.82\00:49:56.39 you know I know that God says that 00:49:56.46\00:49:57.79 you know, eating swine meat is not good, 00:49:57.83\00:49:59.73 but I'm not going to give up my bacon. 00:49:59.76\00:50:02.30 I'm certainly not trying to pass judgment 00:50:02.33\00:50:04.00 but with that type of rebellious attitude, 00:50:04.03\00:50:05.80 there are some people 00:50:05.83\00:50:07.17 that still will call out on the Lord 00:50:07.24\00:50:08.57 and say, Lord save me, heal me, 00:50:08.60\00:50:09.94 but still continue to by choice live in that rebellious state 00:50:09.97\00:50:13.58 un-repented and unchanged. 00:50:13.61\00:50:15.04 And that's where I believe, 00:50:15.08\00:50:16.64 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 comes and it says, 00:50:16.68\00:50:20.15 "Do you not know that you are the temple of God, 00:50:20.22\00:50:21.88 that the Spirit of God dwells in you. 00:50:21.92\00:50:23.72 If anyone defiles the temple of God, 00:50:23.79\00:50:25.75 God will destroy him for the temple of God is holy, 00:50:25.79\00:50:28.46 which temple you are." 00:50:28.49\00:50:30.03 I got to add something to this 'cause this is too good. 00:50:30.06\00:50:32.99 I was at... 00:50:33.03\00:50:34.60 I was speaking at this big church, 00:50:34.63\00:50:36.73 big meeting, 00:50:36.77\00:50:38.10 and a woman came up to me 00:50:38.13\00:50:39.47 and wanted me to pray for her for healing. 00:50:39.50\00:50:41.70 Boy, I was praying for her healing, 00:50:41.74\00:50:44.37 I'm claiming God's promises over her, 00:50:44.41\00:50:47.08 and all of a sudden, there's still small voice, 00:50:47.14\00:50:49.34 the Lord impresses this thought upon my mind, 00:50:49.38\00:50:51.71 who is this that darkens my counsel 00:50:51.75\00:50:53.58 with words without wisdom. 00:50:53.62\00:50:55.75 You talk about, shut your mouth. 00:50:55.78\00:50:57.25 I shut my mouth. 00:50:57.29\00:50:58.62 And then God said, "Ask her if she's smoking." 00:50:58.65\00:51:01.92 She was asking to be healed from lung cancer 00:51:01.96\00:51:04.46 and I looked at her and I said, 00:51:04.49\00:51:05.83 "Sister, do you smoke? 00:51:05.86\00:51:07.40 And she said, "Two packs a day." 00:51:07.40\00:51:08.73 And I said, 00:51:08.76\00:51:10.13 "God can't heal you, 00:51:10.17\00:51:11.63 while you are trying to kill yourself." 00:51:11.67\00:51:15.44 That's right. Wow. 00:51:15.47\00:51:16.81 Have to work in harmony with the Lord. 00:51:16.87\00:51:18.21 Wow. Yeah. 00:51:18.24\00:51:19.57 Yes. Absolutely, Yeah. Have to work in harmony. 00:51:19.61\00:51:20.94 There's another one but on the other side. 00:51:20.98\00:51:22.31 Yes, absolutely. 00:51:22.34\00:51:23.68 Yeah, I've got another question. 00:51:23.71\00:51:25.05 Well actually, we've got another few questions 00:51:25.08\00:51:26.41 but we'll try and get it in. 00:51:26.45\00:51:27.78 Jesus at age 12, that one. 00:51:27.82\00:51:29.32 Yes, yes. 00:51:29.35\00:51:30.92 Looking forward to getting there. 00:51:30.95\00:51:32.29 This time is flying by. 00:51:32.32\00:51:34.62 That's right.
