Amen. 00:03:55.46\00:03:57.77 All right, Miss Shelley, 00:03:57.80\00:03:59.13 this first question is coming to you. 00:03:59.17\00:04:00.74 Alrighty. 00:04:00.77\00:04:02.10 And this comes from Sherry from Pennsylvania. 00:04:02.14\00:04:05.47 And she says this, she says, 00:04:05.51\00:04:06.98 "Can you touch on the root of Jesse, 00:04:07.01\00:04:10.15 and the key of David for a better understanding? 00:04:10.18\00:04:13.45 Please provide scripture to back up your answer." 00:04:13.52\00:04:15.45 You bet, Sherry, in Scripture root 00:04:15.48\00:04:19.09 is used in a figurative sense as source. 00:04:19.12\00:04:23.16 The root of Jesse, 00:04:23.19\00:04:24.73 if you look at the context of Isaiah 11:10 00:04:24.76\00:04:28.93 and Romans 15:12, 00:04:28.96\00:04:31.00 it is clear that root of Jesse is a messianic title, 00:04:31.03\00:04:37.07 what Jessie was David's father, 00:04:37.11\00:04:40.14 through whom the seed of the Messiah was to come. 00:04:40.18\00:04:44.51 And what Isaiah is depicting 00:04:44.55\00:04:46.68 is that he's going to have this glorious coming kingdom, 00:04:46.72\00:04:52.99 which will result in the shoot, 00:04:53.02\00:04:56.19 which shall bud 00:04:56.22\00:04:57.76 and it looked like David's tree had been cut down, 00:04:57.79\00:05:00.66 but there was still that root. 00:05:00.73\00:05:02.73 So the root of David 00:05:02.76\00:05:04.77 is also used in Revelation 5:5 00:05:04.80\00:05:07.94 and Revelation 22:16, 00:05:07.97\00:05:11.41 another messianic title. 00:05:11.44\00:05:13.48 Now the key of David, 00:05:13.51\00:05:16.01 we need to, for the key of David 00:05:16.04\00:05:18.95 follow the law of first mention. 00:05:18.98\00:05:21.48 Go back and see where that was mentioned first 00:05:21.52\00:05:24.29 in the Bible so we can better understand. 00:05:24.32\00:05:26.86 And Isaiah 22, there is a prophecy of Eliakim. 00:05:26.89\00:05:32.09 And Isaiah 22:22 says, 00:05:32.13\00:05:33.80 "The key of the house of David 00:05:33.83\00:05:35.13 I will lay on his shoulder, 00:05:35.16\00:05:36.53 so he shall open 00:05:36.56\00:05:37.90 and no one shall shut, 00:05:37.93\00:05:39.40 he shall shut and no one shall open." 00:05:39.43\00:05:43.27 Eliakim was appointed 00:05:43.30\00:05:46.34 to have supervision over the household of David. 00:05:46.37\00:05:50.41 He controlled the access, 00:05:50.45\00:05:52.68 the people who can go in before the king, 00:05:52.71\00:05:55.02 or he could refuse to admit the people to the king. 00:05:55.05\00:05:58.09 And we see in 1 Chronicles Chapter 9, 00:05:58.12\00:06:01.06 he also had the key to the house of God. 00:06:01.09\00:06:04.36 So when Revelation 3:7, it says, 00:06:04.39\00:06:06.36 "These things says he who is holy, 00:06:06.39\00:06:08.36 he is true, 00:06:08.40\00:06:09.73 He who has the key of David 00:06:09.76\00:06:11.10 he who opens and no one shuts and shuts 00:06:11.13\00:06:13.13 and no one opens." 00:06:13.17\00:06:14.90 This figuratively represents 00:06:14.94\00:06:18.21 Christ's jurisdiction over the church, 00:06:18.24\00:06:21.98 His total sovereignty to grant access 00:06:22.01\00:06:25.55 in to the Davidic kingdom, 00:06:25.58\00:06:28.32 if you will. 00:06:28.35\00:06:31.32 Amen. That was a clear cut answer. 00:06:31.35\00:06:33.36 And it was very supported by scripture. 00:06:33.39\00:06:34.72 I appreciate that, Shelley. Amen. 00:06:34.76\00:06:36.46 Jesus Christ, He is the answer to all. 00:06:36.49\00:06:39.26 Pastor, we're coming to you now with this question. 00:06:39.29\00:06:41.93 It says, "Will we still look the same in heaven? 00:06:41.96\00:06:45.93 Or will we look different?" 00:06:45.97\00:06:47.30 I hope to look different, 00:06:47.34\00:06:48.67 these big ears have strung a bit with the years. 00:06:48.70\00:06:53.11 But I might, it might be my signature 00:06:53.14\00:06:54.48 throughout eternity. 00:06:54.51\00:06:55.84 However, in 1 Corinthians 15:49, 00:06:55.88\00:06:58.75 the Bible says, we're going to look different, 00:06:58.78\00:07:00.48 all the evidence I found in Scripture indicates 00:07:00.55\00:07:02.68 we're going to be looking different. 00:07:02.72\00:07:04.25 1 Corinthians 15:49 says, 00:07:04.32\00:07:06.15 "As we have borne in the image of the man of dust," 00:07:06.19\00:07:09.82 that's Adam, 00:07:09.86\00:07:11.19 "we shall also bear the image of the heavenly man." 00:07:11.23\00:07:14.83 And in 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, 00:07:14.86\00:07:17.30 it starts out, "Behold, I show you a mystery, 00:07:17.37\00:07:19.87 we will not all sleep, but we shall all be changed." 00:07:19.90\00:07:22.57 It's not just from mortal to immortal 00:07:22.60\00:07:24.84 or from corruptible to incorruptible, 00:07:24.87\00:07:27.38 there's another change coming. 00:07:27.41\00:07:28.94 Philippians 3:20-21, 00:07:28.98\00:07:31.48 "For our citizenship is in heaven, 00:07:31.51\00:07:34.02 from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, 00:07:34.05\00:07:37.12 the Lord Jesus Christ, 00:07:37.19\00:07:38.79 who will transform our lowly body 00:07:38.82\00:07:42.46 that it may be conformed to His glorious body." 00:07:42.49\00:07:45.73 So right now we're in the lowly body, 00:07:45.76\00:07:47.40 the corruptible, the mortal body. 00:07:47.40\00:07:49.60 And one of the evidences of that 00:07:49.63\00:07:51.07 is found when Jesus was resurrected. 00:07:51.10\00:07:53.07 You have John 20:14-16. 00:07:53.10\00:07:56.00 Mary was in by the tomb having a conversation, 00:07:56.04\00:07:59.21 and she didn't recognize Him. 00:07:59.24\00:08:01.11 She thought He was the gardener until He spoke. 00:08:01.14\00:08:04.31 And John 20:15, verse 14, 00:08:04.35\00:08:08.15 she supposing Him to be the gardener, 00:08:08.18\00:08:09.82 said, "Sir, if you have carried Him away, 00:08:09.85\00:08:12.85 tell me where you have laid Him, 00:08:12.89\00:08:14.79 and I will take Him away." 00:08:14.82\00:08:16.76 And Jesus said to her, "Mary," she turned in said to him, 00:08:16.79\00:08:19.59 "Rabboni," which is to say, teacher. 00:08:19.63\00:08:22.13 So we will not only look different, 00:08:22.16\00:08:24.17 but I believe, as has been the case, 00:08:24.20\00:08:26.57 in this COVID environment, 00:08:26.60\00:08:27.94 my face was fully covered with sunglasses, 00:08:27.97\00:08:30.34 and somebody says, 00:08:30.41\00:08:31.74 "I recognize you by your voice." 00:08:31.77\00:08:33.71 So we're going to be physically changed, 00:08:33.78\00:08:35.54 but I think God is going to maintain 00:08:35.58\00:08:37.05 some uniquenesses 00:08:37.08\00:08:38.61 and each one of us has a signature in our voice. 00:08:38.65\00:08:41.25 And that's what I believe the Scripture support. 00:08:41.28\00:08:44.12 Amen. Excited about that. 00:08:44.19\00:08:46.86 All right, Brother Jason, 00:08:46.89\00:08:48.32 this is coming from Mary in Alabama. 00:08:48.36\00:08:50.76 Okay. 00:08:50.83\00:08:52.16 And she says, 00:08:52.19\00:08:53.53 "Is it okay for a Christian 00:08:53.60\00:08:54.93 to choose cremation over casket burial?" 00:08:54.93\00:08:58.90 Hmm, good question. 00:08:58.93\00:09:01.10 Yes, Mary, it is okay for a Christian 00:09:01.14\00:09:03.47 to choose cremation over a casket burial. 00:09:03.54\00:09:07.21 Nowhere in the Bible does it forbid cremation 00:09:07.24\00:09:10.18 or anything like that. 00:09:10.21\00:09:11.78 One of the first examples of cremation 00:09:11.81\00:09:14.05 I've seen in the Bible is in 1 Samuel 31:11-13, 00:09:14.08\00:09:20.99 "Now when the inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead 00:09:21.02\00:09:24.69 heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, 00:09:24.73\00:09:27.96 all the valiant men 00:09:27.96\00:09:31.37 arose and traveled all night, 00:09:31.40\00:09:33.20 and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons 00:09:33.23\00:09:37.01 from the wall of Beth Shan, 00:09:37.04\00:09:39.44 and they came to Jabesh and burned them there. 00:09:39.47\00:09:43.08 Then they took their bones and buried them 00:09:43.11\00:09:45.45 under the tamarisk tree at Jabesh, 00:09:45.48\00:09:48.08 and fasted seven days." 00:09:48.12\00:09:51.12 So there are a few things for us to consider. 00:09:51.15\00:09:53.36 Number one, Genesis 3:19, 00:09:53.39\00:09:56.66 "In the sweat of your face, 00:09:56.73\00:09:58.09 you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, 00:09:58.13\00:10:00.73 for out of it you were taken, 00:10:00.80\00:10:02.50 for dust you are and to dust you shall return." 00:10:02.53\00:10:06.23 Number two, Ecclesiastes 3:20, 00:10:06.27\00:10:09.47 "All go to one place, 00:10:09.50\00:10:11.31 all are from the dust and all return to dust. 00:10:11.34\00:10:15.44 And pastor just quoted this verse here. 00:10:15.48\00:10:18.75 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. 00:10:18.78\00:10:23.39 "Behold, I tell you a mystery, 00:10:23.45\00:10:25.29 we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 00:10:25.32\00:10:28.46 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, 00:10:28.49\00:10:31.26 at the last trumpet, 00:10:31.29\00:10:32.63 for the trumpet will sound 00:10:32.66\00:10:34.00 and the dead will be raised incorruptible 00:10:34.03\00:10:35.70 and we shall be changed, 00:10:35.73\00:10:37.20 for this corruptible must put on incorruption 00:10:37.23\00:10:40.77 and this mortal must put on immortality." 00:10:40.80\00:10:43.84 So essentially, the body is going to be, 00:10:43.87\00:10:48.04 it's going to decompose. 00:10:48.08\00:10:49.78 All cremation is doing is accelerating that process. 00:10:49.81\00:10:53.45 But nowhere in Scripture is it forbidden 00:10:53.48\00:10:56.38 to choose cremation over a casket burial. 00:10:56.42\00:11:00.36 Amen. Great answer, brother. 00:11:00.39\00:11:01.86 I don't know about you. 00:11:01.89\00:11:03.22 But I just want to make sure have, 00:11:03.26\00:11:04.63 you know, must I die in this lifetime, 00:11:04.66\00:11:06.43 I just want to make sure I wake up 00:11:06.46\00:11:07.76 on the right resurrection. 00:11:07.83\00:11:09.13 That's right. Amen. 00:11:09.16\00:11:10.53 A better resurrection. That's right. 00:11:10.57\00:11:12.37 Praise the Lord. 00:11:12.40\00:11:13.74 And you may be joining us for the first time, 00:11:13.80\00:11:15.60 this may be a new program to you, 00:11:15.64\00:11:17.07 or you just may be a returning viewer. 00:11:17.11\00:11:19.01 Either way, we want to tell you how you can send in 00:11:19.04\00:11:21.08 your questions. 00:11:21.11\00:11:22.44 And so, there's two ways you can do that. 00:11:22.48\00:11:23.95 First, you can text us your question, 00:11:24.01\00:11:26.68 and the number for that is (618) 228-3975. 00:11:26.72\00:11:32.82 Again (618) 228-3975. 00:11:32.85\00:11:36.39 So text us your answer 00:11:36.42\00:11:37.76 or you can email us your answer at, 00:11:37.79\00:11:41.96 excuse me, BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:11:42.00\00:11:46.33 Again, that's BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:11:46.37\00:11:50.14 So send us in your questions, 00:11:50.17\00:11:51.97 and we will provide a Bible answer. 00:11:52.01\00:11:53.91 All right, 00:11:53.94\00:11:55.28 Pastor, we're coming right back to you. 00:11:55.31\00:11:56.68 Okay. 00:11:56.71\00:11:58.05 And this question is, it says, 00:11:58.08\00:12:00.72 "Is the Mormons baptism for the dead 00:12:00.75\00:12:04.19 the same as purgatory is for the Catholics?" 00:12:04.22\00:12:08.62 Quick answer, no. 00:12:08.66\00:12:10.33 Purgatory is a non-scriptural teaching 00:12:10.36\00:12:12.36 that there is a place 00:12:12.39\00:12:13.90 where the dead go 00:12:13.93\00:12:15.23 before they are assigned to their final destiny. 00:12:15.26\00:12:18.00 That's not supported by Scripture. 00:12:18.03\00:12:20.00 It was a method used during the Dark Ages 00:12:20.04\00:12:21.74 to raise money for the Catholic Church. 00:12:21.77\00:12:23.77 And many people paid to priests to pay, 00:12:23.81\00:12:26.64 pray their loved one out of purgatory into heaven. 00:12:26.68\00:12:30.51 On the same note, 00:12:30.55\00:12:31.88 the place called limbo was created for babies 00:12:31.91\00:12:33.92 that were not baptized. 00:12:33.98\00:12:35.32 That's why they baptize babies. 00:12:35.35\00:12:36.89 But the baptism for the dead might be alluded to 00:12:36.95\00:12:39.22 by the scripture in 1 Corinthians 15:29 00:12:39.25\00:12:42.02 where Paul treated beautifully 00:12:42.06\00:12:43.83 when he says, 1 Corinthians 15:29. 00:12:43.89\00:12:46.86 Otherwise speaking about the resurrection, 00:12:46.90\00:12:49.30 what will they do who are baptized for the dead. 00:12:49.33\00:12:53.17 If the dead do not rise at all, 00:12:53.20\00:12:55.00 why then are they baptized for the dead? 00:12:55.04\00:12:57.91 And that they there, 00:12:57.94\00:12:59.27 I did some research 00:12:59.31\00:13:00.88 was connected to a group called Cerenthians, 00:13:00.91\00:13:03.55 not Corinthians, the Cerenthians 00:13:03.58\00:13:05.15 that lived during 50 to 100 AD, 00:13:05.18\00:13:08.32 they called it the 50-100 AD, CE, 00:13:08.35\00:13:12.19 the Common Era 00:13:12.22\00:13:13.56 associated with the Gregorian calendar. 00:13:13.59\00:13:15.72 They had the belief that they denied 00:13:15.76\00:13:18.36 the supremacy of God 00:13:18.39\00:13:19.73 that He was the creator of the world. 00:13:19.76\00:13:21.10 And so they sought a different way for salvation 00:13:21.13\00:13:23.63 for their dead. 00:13:23.67\00:13:25.07 And if the dead did not know God, 00:13:25.10\00:13:26.53 they said, "Well, we need to be baptized 00:13:26.57\00:13:28.07 for them." 00:13:28.10\00:13:29.44 And but the church fathers, 00:13:29.47\00:13:30.81 they call them the hierosologists. 00:13:30.87\00:13:33.58 These are those who studied all the heresies 00:13:33.64\00:13:35.94 that had began to creep into Christianity. 00:13:35.98\00:13:38.28 They denied the Cerenthians 00:13:38.31\00:13:40.32 and said, this is not scriptural. 00:13:40.38\00:13:41.72 You need to, you need to abandon 00:13:41.75\00:13:44.59 this ideology altogether. 00:13:44.62\00:13:46.42 And so much so that 00:13:46.45\00:13:48.02 all the common Christian groups today 00:13:48.06\00:13:50.99 such as Eastern Orthodox, even Oriental Orthodox, 00:13:51.03\00:13:56.46 Roman Catholics, and Protestants all together, 00:13:56.50\00:13:59.70 refute this idea that there is a chance 00:13:59.73\00:14:01.80 for somebody who is dead to still be saved. 00:14:01.84\00:14:04.74 And they do it on this scripture. 00:14:04.77\00:14:06.91 Hebrews 9:27, 00:14:06.98\00:14:08.91 "As it is appointed for men once to die 00:14:08.94\00:14:12.71 and after that the judgment." 00:14:12.75\00:14:15.58 So when a person is dead, 00:14:15.62\00:14:17.09 their case record is closed. 00:14:17.12\00:14:19.12 No one can reverse the life you've lived 00:14:19.15\00:14:21.66 after you have taken your last breath. 00:14:21.69\00:14:24.13 That's why the Lord says, today is the day of salvation. 00:14:24.16\00:14:27.60 Now, is the acceptable time. 00:14:27.60\00:14:30.03 When you take that last breath 00:14:30.07\00:14:32.00 as the thief on the cross knew 00:14:32.03\00:14:33.60 when he was about to take that last breath, 00:14:33.64\00:14:34.97 he said, "Wait a minute, 00:14:35.00\00:14:36.34 there's no more chance after this. 00:14:36.37\00:14:37.71 Please remember me when you come in your kingdom." 00:14:37.74\00:14:40.48 So you cannot be baptized for the dead, 00:14:40.54\00:14:42.71 because their case is closed at the time of death. 00:14:42.74\00:14:45.81 Amen. It is truth. 00:14:45.85\00:14:48.45 All right, Miss Shelley, 00:14:48.48\00:14:49.82 this next question comes to you and this is from Jenny. 00:14:49.85\00:14:52.55 And she says, "We're loving this new program 00:14:52.59\00:14:54.92 that you have. 00:14:54.96\00:14:56.46 Thank you for providing this type of forum. 00:14:56.49\00:14:58.93 My question is, 00:14:58.96\00:15:00.36 how old was Samuel when number one, 00:15:00.43\00:15:04.00 a two part question when he went to the temple, 00:15:04.07\00:15:07.57 and two when the Lord spoke to Him? 00:15:07.64\00:15:10.44 Okay, well let's review the story. 00:15:10.51\00:15:12.77 In 1 Samuel Chapter 1, 00:15:12.81\00:15:14.61 Hannah is a precious woman 00:15:14.64\00:15:17.95 who is tearfully, earnestly praying for a child. 00:15:17.98\00:15:22.08 And God granted her Samuel, 00:15:22.12\00:15:25.05 the son Samuel as the answer to her request, 00:15:25.09\00:15:28.26 and she was so grateful she dedicated him to the Lord. 00:15:28.29\00:15:31.16 1 Samuel 1:27, "For this child, I prayed," she said, 00:15:31.19\00:15:35.90 "and the Lord has granted my petition made him, 00:15:35.93\00:15:38.30 therefore I have given him to the Lord, 00:15:38.33\00:15:40.60 as long as he lives he is given to the Lord." 00:15:40.64\00:15:44.41 And then if you look at verse 24, it says, 00:15:44.44\00:15:48.18 "When she weaned him, 00:15:48.21\00:15:50.81 she brought him to the house of the Lord." 00:15:50.85\00:15:54.75 Jenny, the Bible does not provide 00:15:54.78\00:15:57.19 the exact age of when Samuel came 00:15:57.25\00:16:00.39 to the sanctuary there at Shiloh. 00:16:00.42\00:16:03.49 What it says is that when she weaned him, 00:16:03.56\00:16:06.86 it was common practice to breastfeed your child 00:16:06.93\00:16:10.17 to three years old 00:16:10.20\00:16:11.53 and not unheard of to breastfeed to your five. 00:16:11.57\00:16:15.10 But what we know is, 00:16:15.14\00:16:16.91 Samuel was raised 00:16:16.94\00:16:19.04 from the time he was weaned at the Shiloh sanctuary, 00:16:19.07\00:16:22.21 the women who tended to the tabernacle 00:16:22.24\00:16:24.41 would have been the ones who met his physical needs. 00:16:24.45\00:16:28.85 And then Eli was the one who trained him 00:16:28.88\00:16:32.35 in religious culture. 00:16:32.39\00:16:34.19 In 1 Samuel 2:26, it says, 00:16:34.26\00:16:37.13 "He grew in stature with favor in God." 00:16:37.16\00:16:40.50 And then in 1 Samuel 3, 00:16:40.53\00:16:42.53 we see that he has 00:16:42.56\00:16:43.93 his first prophetic meeting with God, 00:16:43.97\00:16:46.03 and hears a mysterious voice calling Samuel, Samuel. 00:16:46.07\00:16:49.80 And the first message that God gives to Samuel 00:16:49.84\00:16:53.04 is to tell Eli that he and his family 00:16:53.07\00:16:55.04 are rejected as priest, 00:16:55.08\00:16:57.01 because of the sins of the son of Eli. 00:16:57.05\00:17:00.15 But we again don't know 00:17:00.18\00:17:02.82 for certain most scholars believe 00:17:02.85\00:17:05.02 when he heard from the Lord, he was 11 to 12. 00:17:05.05\00:17:08.49 And Josephus, 00:17:08.52\00:17:09.86 who was the first century Jewish historian said 00:17:09.89\00:17:14.40 that he was around 11 years old when God spoke. 00:17:14.46\00:17:18.23 All right. Thank you for that. 00:17:18.27\00:17:20.14 All right, Jason, coming back to you. 00:17:20.17\00:17:22.54 This question comes from Dolores. 00:17:22.57\00:17:24.71 And she says, "Where in the Scripture 00:17:24.74\00:17:27.18 does it talk about country living, 00:17:27.21\00:17:29.71 and that we need to be prepared? 00:17:29.74\00:17:32.08 People talk about the statement of Ellen G.White, 00:17:32.11\00:17:34.82 who will spread God's word in the city?" 00:17:34.85\00:17:39.35 That's a good question. 00:17:39.39\00:17:42.39 Well, nowhere in Scripture does it specifically express 00:17:42.42\00:17:45.69 country living. 00:17:45.73\00:17:47.60 There is a place in Matthew Chapter 24, 00:17:47.60\00:17:50.07 where Jesus is pointing, 00:17:50.13\00:17:51.47 and He's talking about the signs of the times 00:17:51.50\00:17:52.97 and fleeing Judea, 00:17:53.00\00:17:54.64 and going to the mountains, into the hills. 00:17:54.67\00:17:57.47 But there's nowhere that speaks of the mandate 00:17:57.51\00:18:01.94 for country living. 00:18:01.98\00:18:03.91 Now, there are certain benefits 00:18:03.98\00:18:06.01 to living in the country. 00:18:06.05\00:18:07.92 One, you have more land 00:18:07.95\00:18:10.02 possibly to grow your food, 00:18:10.05\00:18:12.82 you also have less pollution, there's more time, 00:18:12.85\00:18:17.73 typically to grow closer to the Lord. 00:18:17.76\00:18:21.83 A lot of people in the Bible 00:18:21.86\00:18:23.87 when they were in the wilderness, 00:18:23.90\00:18:25.23 and had these wilderness experiences, 00:18:25.27\00:18:27.57 they grew closer to the Lord during that time. 00:18:27.64\00:18:30.61 So those are a few of the benefits. 00:18:30.64\00:18:33.68 The other thing is, 00:18:33.71\00:18:35.04 if you look at the environment that we're in now, 00:18:35.08\00:18:37.38 with this COVID, whole COVID environment, 00:18:37.45\00:18:41.32 a lot of people that are living in cities 00:18:41.35\00:18:43.42 are right on top of each other. 00:18:43.49\00:18:45.12 So it's very hard to isolate, and quarantine, 00:18:45.15\00:18:49.29 and do all of those things. 00:18:49.32\00:18:50.66 Because you're coming in contact 00:18:50.73\00:18:53.06 with so many people. 00:18:53.09\00:18:55.20 Now, in terms of who's going to reach 00:18:55.23\00:18:56.93 the cities, 00:18:56.97\00:18:59.13 the fact that you're watching 00:18:59.17\00:19:00.57 this broadcast is incredible 00:19:00.60\00:19:03.34 that God has opened the door 00:19:03.37\00:19:05.74 for this broadcast and make it to cities, 00:19:05.77\00:19:09.04 to the country, to everywhere. 00:19:09.08\00:19:11.78 So the gospel is accessible, 00:19:11.81\00:19:14.25 you can pick up your smartphone, 00:19:14.28\00:19:15.75 and you can access 3ABN right there on the app. 00:19:15.78\00:19:18.62 So the gospel's going forward. 00:19:18.65\00:19:20.49 And if you live in the cities, 00:19:20.52\00:19:22.82 then you're to share the gospel with your neighbor. 00:19:22.86\00:19:25.33 If you live in the country, you're to share the gospel. 00:19:25.36\00:19:27.83 It's our job to spread the gospel 00:19:27.86\00:19:29.93 no matter where we are. 00:19:29.96\00:19:31.73 Amen, appreciate that, my brother. 00:19:31.77\00:19:33.17 Beautiful. 00:19:33.20\00:19:34.54 All right, Shelley, 00:19:34.57\00:19:35.90 we're going to come back to you. 00:19:35.94\00:19:37.31 Okay. All right. 00:19:37.34\00:19:38.67 This question actually comes from a YouTube viewer 00:19:38.71\00:19:41.28 and they say, "How do we know God is speaking to us?" 00:19:41.31\00:19:45.28 Ooh, let me go fast. 00:19:45.31\00:19:47.02 Divine means of communication, scripture, the prophets, 00:19:47.05\00:19:50.29 Jesus Christ, appearances of angel, creation, 00:19:50.32\00:19:54.39 creatures, answered prayers, signs and circumstances, 00:19:54.42\00:19:58.09 visions, dreams, 00:19:58.13\00:19:59.63 then the audible voice which Revelation 1:14-15 says 00:19:59.66\00:20:03.33 the audible voice of the Lord, 00:20:03.37\00:20:04.83 it's like the sound of many waters. 00:20:04.87\00:20:07.20 And the still small voice that Elijah heard 00:20:07.24\00:20:10.77 in 1 Kings 19:11-12. 00:20:10.81\00:20:13.64 God primarily speaks to us through His Word. 00:20:13.68\00:20:16.81 It is God breathed every scripture 00:20:16.85\00:20:19.21 and that's what 2 Timothy 3:16 says. 00:20:19.25\00:20:22.88 Hebrews 4:12 says, His word is alive and active, 00:20:22.92\00:20:26.25 it's powerful. 00:20:26.29\00:20:27.66 In 1 Thessalonians 2:13 it says, 00:20:27.69\00:20:30.39 "It is in truth, the Word of God, 00:20:30.43\00:20:33.36 which effectively works in you who believe." 00:20:33.40\00:20:37.90 In James 1:21 says, 00:20:37.93\00:20:40.57 that when we hear the Word of God 00:20:40.60\00:20:42.80 and implanted in our heart 00:20:42.84\00:20:44.34 has the power to save our souls. 00:20:44.37\00:20:46.27 Now, the still small voice that Elijah heard, 00:20:46.31\00:20:48.88 I believe all of us 00:20:48.91\00:20:50.41 have at some point in time 00:20:50.48\00:20:51.81 as believers been impressed with a thought 00:20:51.85\00:20:54.08 from the Holy Spirit. 00:20:54.15\00:20:55.98 Here's the way you know it's the Holy Spirit, 00:20:56.02\00:20:58.19 it will never be contrary to Scripture, 00:20:58.22\00:21:01.79 because the Spirit is the one 00:21:01.82\00:21:03.86 who helped guide the scriptures. 00:21:03.93\00:21:05.76 If you read the Book of Acts, you see, in many instances 00:21:05.79\00:21:09.16 where the Holy Spirit gave guidance 00:21:09.20\00:21:11.80 to the people of the early church, 00:21:11.83\00:21:14.04 an example would be Acts 13:12. 00:21:14.10\00:21:17.17 But here's what Jesus says about the Holy Spirit. 00:21:17.21\00:21:20.44 In John 16:13-15, he says, 00:21:20.48\00:21:24.01 "When He the spirit of truth has come, 00:21:24.05\00:21:26.61 He will guide you into all truth." 00:21:26.68\00:21:29.22 The Holy Spirit will guide us into truth 00:21:29.25\00:21:31.99 He always exalts Jesus. 00:21:32.02\00:21:34.16 John 16:8 says, 00:21:34.22\00:21:35.82 "He convicts us of sin, righteousness and judgment." 00:21:35.86\00:21:38.93 Galatians 5:22-25 says 00:21:38.96\00:21:42.03 that "He develops the fruit in us." 00:21:42.06\00:21:44.40 So if you think the Holy Spirit is leading you, 00:21:44.43\00:21:47.57 He will follow those parameters. 00:21:47.60\00:21:51.27 And 1 John 4:12, 00:21:51.31\00:21:53.11 I want you to pray and test every spirit. 00:21:53.14\00:21:56.24 Make sure that it is the Spirit of God. 00:21:56.28\00:22:00.22 Amen. Thank you for that. 00:22:00.25\00:22:01.92 All right, Pastor, Lomacang, coming right back to you. 00:22:01.95\00:22:04.65 This person says, "What does it mean 00:22:04.69\00:22:06.86 when God says the evening and the morning 00:22:06.89\00:22:09.69 were the first day?" 00:22:09.72\00:22:11.16 Okay, evening and the morning. I like that. 00:22:11.19\00:22:14.00 That is an amazing question 00:22:14.00\00:22:15.73 because many people think that they go back actually, 00:22:15.76\00:22:21.94 what I saw in the question was they were kind of asking, 00:22:21.97\00:22:24.64 well, since the sun was not created 00:22:24.67\00:22:29.14 before the fourth day, 00:22:29.18\00:22:30.51 how was there an evening and the morning, 00:22:30.55\00:22:32.41 and I want to go now, first, to Genesis 1:5. 00:22:32.45\00:22:36.15 One of the things we have to keep in mind is, 00:22:36.18\00:22:38.22 first of all, nothing is impossible 00:22:38.25\00:22:39.85 for the Lord. 00:22:39.89\00:22:41.22 There are some miraculous events 00:22:41.26\00:22:42.79 that took place at the creation of our world. 00:22:42.82\00:22:44.93 We find in Genesis 1:5, 00:22:44.96\00:22:46.96 "God called the light day, 00:22:47.00\00:22:49.63 and the darkness He called night. 00:22:49.66\00:22:51.63 So the evening and the morning were the first day." 00:22:51.67\00:22:54.20 Now, when you look at the context of that 00:22:54.24\00:22:56.64 you find in the Bible, 00:22:56.67\00:22:58.01 that when the Lord looked at the earth, 00:22:58.04\00:22:59.37 it was without form and void, 00:22:59.41\00:23:01.04 and darkness was upon the face of the deep. 00:23:01.08\00:23:03.65 And God said, "Let there be light," 00:23:03.68\00:23:05.15 and there was light. 00:23:05.18\00:23:06.55 There's a presupposition 00:23:06.58\00:23:07.92 that light only comes from the sun. 00:23:07.95\00:23:09.95 But in fact, divinely speaking, that could not be the case. 00:23:09.98\00:23:14.46 Why did He then make the sun 00:23:14.49\00:23:16.83 and why then was there some heavenly body 00:23:16.86\00:23:21.26 to ordain the difference between the day and the night. 00:23:21.30\00:23:24.27 Very quickly here, Genesis 1:16 and 18. 00:23:24.30\00:23:27.10 "Then God made two great lights, 00:23:27.14\00:23:28.57 the greater light to rule the day 00:23:28.60\00:23:30.37 and the lesser light to rule the night, 00:23:30.41\00:23:31.94 He made the stars also, 00:23:31.97\00:23:33.68 and to rule over the day and over the night, 00:23:33.74\00:23:36.14 and to divide the light from the darkness. 00:23:36.18\00:23:38.95 And God saw that it was good." 00:23:38.98\00:23:41.98 One of the things that we have to keep in mind 00:23:42.02\00:23:43.45 is we have regions around the world. 00:23:43.49\00:23:45.89 And there's another question that came upon this, 00:23:45.92\00:23:47.92 and I'll wait till that question comes up. 00:23:47.96\00:23:49.99 But the evening that the day is segmented 00:23:50.03\00:23:52.99 into evening and morning. 00:23:53.03\00:23:55.33 It has four parts to the morning, 00:23:55.36\00:23:57.50 and four parts to the evening. 00:23:57.53\00:23:59.23 One of the examples you find 00:23:59.27\00:24:00.67 is when the disciples were speaking in tongues, 00:24:00.74\00:24:03.27 they said they couldn't be drunk. 00:24:03.30\00:24:04.64 It's only the third hour of the day. 00:24:04.67\00:24:06.57 So when you study the Bible, 00:24:06.61\00:24:07.94 the Bible has four watches of the day, 00:24:07.98\00:24:10.05 four watches of the night, and by the clock, 00:24:10.08\00:24:12.75 they determined these four watches 00:24:12.78\00:24:14.22 are morning, 00:24:14.25\00:24:15.58 and these four watches are evening, 00:24:15.62\00:24:17.29 whether the sun is up or not. 00:24:17.32\00:24:20.46 All right, it's all an answer. I like that. 00:24:20.49\00:24:23.43 All right, Brother Jason, coming back to you. 00:24:23.46\00:24:26.53 This person says, 00:24:26.56\00:24:28.53 "Is it okay to stay single and not get married 00:24:28.56\00:24:32.57 because I find it hard to fall in love with a woman. 00:24:32.60\00:24:35.84 Honestly, I'm attracted to same sex 00:24:35.87\00:24:38.34 and I know this is really wrong. 00:24:38.37\00:24:40.94 So for now, my option is to stay single 00:24:40.98\00:24:44.38 than marry a lady without feeling the love. 00:24:44.41\00:24:47.28 I'm 30 years old 00:24:47.32\00:24:48.65 and I'm praying for God's intervention?" 00:24:48.68\00:24:51.72 Yeah, that's a heavy question. 00:24:51.75\00:24:54.49 You know, it's better to stay single 00:24:54.52\00:24:56.39 and be celibate 00:24:56.42\00:24:57.76 than to get married for the wrong reasons. 00:24:57.79\00:25:03.23 I truly appreciate number one the sincerity in your question, 00:25:03.26\00:25:06.97 the fact that you're reaching out 00:25:07.04\00:25:08.37 and you're asking this question 00:25:08.40\00:25:09.74 as opposed to just trying to justify 00:25:09.77\00:25:11.67 wrong behavior 00:25:11.71\00:25:13.04 or anything you want to do the right thing 00:25:13.07\00:25:14.41 and it really shows 00:25:14.44\00:25:15.78 that the Holy Spirit is working on your heart. 00:25:15.81\00:25:19.75 But Romans 1:26-27, 00:25:19.78\00:25:25.12 "For this reason God gave them up 00:25:25.15\00:25:27.29 to vile passions, 00:25:27.36\00:25:28.69 for even their women exchange the natural use 00:25:28.72\00:25:31.66 for what is against nature. 00:25:31.69\00:25:33.40 Likewise, also, the men 00:25:33.43\00:25:35.40 leaving the natural use of the woman 00:25:35.43\00:25:37.33 burned in their lust for one another, 00:25:37.37\00:25:39.53 men with men committing what is shameful 00:25:39.57\00:25:41.97 and receiving in themselves 00:25:42.00\00:25:43.37 the penalty of their error which was due." 00:25:43.41\00:25:47.48 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 00:25:47.54\00:25:51.15 "Do you not know that the unrighteous 00:25:51.18\00:25:53.58 will not inherit the kingdom of God, 00:25:53.62\00:25:55.85 do not be deceived neither fornicators, 00:25:55.88\00:25:58.22 nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 00:25:58.25\00:26:03.26 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revealers, 00:26:03.29\00:26:07.23 nor extortioners 00:26:07.23\00:26:08.56 will inherit the kingdom of God." 00:26:08.60\00:26:10.87 Now here is the part that's for you. 00:26:10.90\00:26:14.14 "And such were some of you, 00:26:14.17\00:26:18.31 but you were washed, but you were sanctified, 00:26:18.34\00:26:21.54 but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, 00:26:21.58\00:26:25.35 and by the spirit of our God." 00:26:25.38\00:26:28.25 God can transform your life 00:26:28.28\00:26:30.89 and take those unnatural affections away 00:26:30.92\00:26:34.66 and homosexuality is a sin, 00:26:34.69\00:26:36.86 but God is in the business 00:26:36.93\00:26:38.79 of giving us victory over sin. 00:26:38.83\00:26:42.00 So I want you to remain encouraged 00:26:42.03\00:26:45.43 and I'd also like to share this resource with you, 00:26:45.47\00:26:48.07 you can go to comingoutministries.org 00:26:48.10\00:26:51.67 comingoutministries.org 00:26:51.71\00:26:53.84 and they should be able to help you 00:26:53.88\00:26:56.71 and share with you their journey as well. 00:26:56.75\00:27:00.45 Amen. 00:28:21.70\00:28:23.97 I feel lost and far from God sometimes 00:28:24.00\00:28:26.40 and I go into a spiral of fear, guilt, 00:28:26.43\00:28:30.04 shame and uncertainty?" 00:28:30.11\00:28:31.97 I wish I had an hour to answer you, Shayla. 00:28:32.01\00:28:34.41 But hear the word of the Lord in Isaiah 1:18. 00:28:34.44\00:28:37.75 He says, "Come now let us reason together, 00:28:37.78\00:28:40.95 though your sins are as scarlet 00:28:40.98\00:28:43.18 they shall be white as snow." 00:28:43.22\00:28:45.12 In 1 John 1:9, it says, 00:28:45.15\00:28:47.56 "If we confess our sins, 00:28:47.59\00:28:49.29 He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins 00:28:49.32\00:28:51.86 and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness." 00:28:51.89\00:28:55.86 The challenge is to receive God's forgiveness 00:28:55.90\00:28:59.53 because that is how we escaped the devil's trap 00:28:59.57\00:29:03.44 and extricate ourselves from that condemnation. 00:29:03.47\00:29:07.04 I want you to read Psalm 51. 00:29:07.11\00:29:09.94 Let me give you a couple of examples. 00:29:09.98\00:29:11.98 Great Psalm with repentance. 00:29:12.01\00:29:13.88 Psalm 51:2-3, David has committed adultery, 00:29:13.95\00:29:19.45 he's committed a guilty of murder, 00:29:19.49\00:29:21.89 and he's writing or praying to the Lord, 00:29:21.92\00:29:25.06 "Wash me thoroughly for my iniquity, 00:29:25.09\00:29:27.56 cleanse me from my sin. 00:29:27.60\00:29:29.40 For I acknowledge my transgressions, 00:29:29.43\00:29:31.93 my sin is always before me." 00:29:31.97\00:29:34.17 And then in verse 7, Psalm 51:7, 00:29:34.24\00:29:36.81 "He's washed me 00:29:36.84\00:29:38.17 and I will be whiter than snow." 00:29:38.21\00:29:40.28 And then in verse 12, he says, 00:29:40.31\00:29:42.31 "O restore to me the joy of Your salvation, 00:29:42.34\00:29:46.82 uphold me by Your generous spirit." 00:29:46.85\00:29:49.82 I want you to pray that over your life 00:29:49.85\00:29:51.82 because that's what you need. 00:29:51.85\00:29:53.36 I have a friend who could not forgive herself. 00:29:53.39\00:29:56.66 And she was talking with a pastor one day 00:29:56.73\00:29:59.13 and he said, "Do you believe God's forgiven you?" 00:29:59.16\00:30:01.10 She said "Yes." 00:30:01.13\00:30:02.46 And he said, "Then don't you think 00:30:02.50\00:30:03.83 it's a little egotistical for you 00:30:03.87\00:30:05.57 not to forgive yourself? 00:30:05.60\00:30:07.00 Are you bigger than God?" 00:30:07.04\00:30:08.64 She got mad and she got over it. 00:30:08.67\00:30:11.07 Shayla, in Isaiah 43:18-19, 00:30:11.11\00:30:14.31 God says, 00:30:14.34\00:30:15.68 "Forget the former things, 00:30:15.71\00:30:17.78 do not dwell on the past, I am doing a new thing." 00:30:17.81\00:30:22.52 And He says in Matthew 6:14-15, 00:30:22.55\00:30:25.49 that we've got to forgive others 00:30:25.52\00:30:27.36 their transgressions as well. 00:30:27.42\00:30:29.86 Forgiveness helps us to release the past, 00:30:29.89\00:30:32.73 and it does more for our benefit 00:30:32.76\00:30:34.73 even then for the offenders. 00:30:34.76\00:30:37.67 Amen. Thank you so much for that. 00:30:37.70\00:30:39.37 Shelley, I appreciate that. 00:30:39.40\00:30:40.80 All right, Pastor Lomacang, we're coming back to you. 00:30:40.87\00:30:43.17 This person says, 00:30:43.20\00:30:44.54 "The Bible talks about the mark, 00:30:44.57\00:30:46.31 the name or the number. 00:30:46.34\00:30:48.54 Why don't you talk more about the name and the number?" 00:30:48.58\00:30:50.71 Well, I don't know 00:30:50.78\00:30:52.11 if that's a personal reference to me, 00:30:52.15\00:30:53.48 because I talk about all three of them. 00:30:53.52\00:30:55.18 I guess it may be somebody who has only talked 00:30:55.22\00:30:57.32 about the name and the number, not the mark. 00:30:57.35\00:30:59.89 Now, Revelation 13:17 is I believe the scripture 00:30:59.92\00:31:02.79 that maybe what you're referring to. 00:31:02.82\00:31:05.03 But I'll read it for you, Revelation 13:17, 00:31:05.06\00:31:07.20 "That no one may buy or sell 00:31:07.23\00:31:10.37 except one has the mark, 00:31:10.43\00:31:12.37 or the name of the beast 00:31:12.40\00:31:14.37 or the number of his name." 00:31:14.40\00:31:18.74 Now as it relates to the mark, 00:31:18.77\00:31:20.54 the name and number, 00:31:20.58\00:31:22.28 several attempts have been made throughout the years. 00:31:22.31\00:31:24.81 I remember far enough back 00:31:24.85\00:31:26.25 when Procter and Gamble had a soap, 00:31:26.28\00:31:28.22 a bar of soap with the stars on it. 00:31:28.25\00:31:30.39 People didn't want to buy that, 00:31:30.45\00:31:31.79 because they saw on the side 00:31:31.82\00:31:33.15 look like stars in the shape of 666. 00:31:33.19\00:31:35.72 And I remember years ago, Mikhail Gorbachev, 00:31:35.76\00:31:39.19 they said he had, his name was associated, 00:31:39.23\00:31:43.40 he had a big mark on his forehead, 00:31:43.43\00:31:45.27 it was a birthmark. 00:31:45.30\00:31:46.87 And they said, "Well, he is the beast, 00:31:46.90\00:31:48.90 must be the sign of the mark of the beast." 00:31:48.94\00:31:50.54 And Ronald Reagan, he had three names 00:31:50.57\00:31:52.27 with six letters in each. 00:31:52.31\00:31:54.01 He said, "Well, he must be the leader 00:31:54.04\00:31:55.94 to bring the mark of the beast upon the nation." 00:31:55.98\00:31:58.51 And then when the barcode came out, 00:31:58.55\00:32:00.42 that really threw everybody into a tailspin. 00:32:00.45\00:32:02.88 You've even had book covers with barcodes 00:32:02.92\00:32:04.95 on people's foreheads and on their hands, 00:32:04.99\00:32:07.06 they're going to scan you. 00:32:07.09\00:32:08.42 There have been many attempts by people 00:32:08.46\00:32:09.86 to somehow duplicate 00:32:09.89\00:32:11.69 what God has put in His Word as a spiritual mark. 00:32:11.73\00:32:15.80 Now, the mark of the beast is a symbol 00:32:15.83\00:32:17.80 pointing to the identity of the system of the beast. 00:32:17.83\00:32:20.74 When you are identified as a person allegiant to that, 00:32:20.80\00:32:23.87 you receive a mark. 00:32:23.91\00:32:25.24 I'll give you an example. 00:32:25.27\00:32:26.64 In Ezekiel 9, 00:32:26.68\00:32:28.01 Revelation 7 and Ezekiel 9 are associated. 00:32:28.04\00:32:30.21 Revelation 7 is the shorter version, 00:32:30.25\00:32:32.78 Ezekiel 9 is the expanded version, 00:32:32.81\00:32:35.58 and you find in Ezekiel 9, 00:32:35.62\00:32:37.15 speaking about angels 00:32:37.19\00:32:38.75 that came from the way of the higher gate 00:32:38.79\00:32:40.42 and they went throughout Israel. 00:32:40.46\00:32:42.16 And they began with the elders, 00:32:42.19\00:32:43.93 and they put a mark on their foreheads. 00:32:43.99\00:32:46.66 What does the mark mean? 00:32:46.70\00:32:48.00 When the Bible speaks about a mark on their forehead, 00:32:48.03\00:32:49.86 by your beliefs, 00:32:49.90\00:32:51.30 and the mark in the hand by your support. 00:32:51.33\00:32:53.87 So this is not something that people are going to be 00:32:53.90\00:32:55.74 lining up to get, 00:32:55.77\00:32:57.14 but this simply are indicators of your allegiance 00:32:57.17\00:33:00.58 to the system that leads the world 00:33:00.61\00:33:02.34 to honor and worship the beast. 00:33:02.38\00:33:04.31 Amen. 00:33:04.35\00:33:05.68 Solid answer, thank you, Pastor, 00:33:05.71\00:33:07.05 especially for two minutes. 00:33:07.12\00:33:08.45 That was a packed question. 00:33:08.48\00:33:10.89 I'm telling you. 00:33:10.92\00:33:12.25 All right. All right. 00:33:12.29\00:33:13.66 Jason, we're coming back to you. 00:33:13.69\00:33:15.02 This person says, actually, this is Kabera. 00:33:15.06\00:33:17.83 I guess that's how you would say it. 00:33:17.86\00:33:20.00 And if I'm butchering that name, I apologize. 00:33:20.03\00:33:21.93 Kabera is what it seems to say. 00:33:21.96\00:33:24.90 The question is, "I would love to get 00:33:24.93\00:33:26.70 the panel's advice 00:33:26.74\00:33:28.07 to a person born 00:33:28.10\00:33:29.97 in a Seventh-day Adventist home, 00:33:30.01\00:33:32.11 because it's like you were born in this hub 00:33:32.14\00:33:35.04 of immense knowledge of truth 00:33:35.08\00:33:36.58 and sometimes familiarity breeds contempt 00:33:36.61\00:33:40.28 or even fail to recognize the goodness and love of Christ 00:33:40.32\00:33:44.05 as opposed 00:33:44.09\00:33:45.42 to someone who has come from drugs or atheism, etc. 00:33:45.45\00:33:49.92 And also the fear that to whom much is given 00:33:49.99\00:33:53.56 much will be required of him." 00:33:53.60\00:33:56.90 Well, we're going to take it to the dinner table, 00:33:56.93\00:33:58.43 my favorite place. 00:33:58.47\00:34:00.34 Kabera, I want you to picture this, 00:34:00.37\00:34:03.44 I want you to imagine 00:34:03.51\00:34:04.84 that you're at let's say, 00:34:04.87\00:34:06.21 your mom, or, you know, your mom's house 00:34:06.24\00:34:09.31 or some family member's house and it's dinner time, 00:34:09.34\00:34:11.78 and they're in there 00:34:11.81\00:34:13.15 and they're cooking this dinner, 00:34:13.18\00:34:14.52 and they've got all your favorites being made. 00:34:14.55\00:34:16.48 It's delicious. It smells great. 00:34:16.52\00:34:19.92 And everybody at the house has a plate, except for you. 00:34:19.95\00:34:24.13 Everybody is sitting down at the table 00:34:24.16\00:34:26.23 and they've got this delicious looking meal 00:34:26.26\00:34:28.36 sitting right in front of them 00:34:28.40\00:34:29.73 and you see the joy on their faces 00:34:29.76\00:34:31.93 and you smell those smells. 00:34:31.97\00:34:34.70 And you hear the descriptive phrases 00:34:34.74\00:34:36.60 that they're using to describe 00:34:36.67\00:34:38.21 how delicious the food is. 00:34:38.24\00:34:41.01 But yet, your stomach is rumbling 00:34:41.04\00:34:43.61 and your taste buds aren't satisfied. 00:34:43.65\00:34:47.18 But everybody else is eating. 00:34:47.22\00:34:49.42 That's like our relationship with Christ. 00:34:49.45\00:34:51.45 We can't, our taste buds 00:34:51.49\00:34:53.76 aren't going to be satisfied unless we taste and see 00:34:53.82\00:34:56.83 that the Lord is good. 00:34:56.89\00:34:58.23 And Psalm 34:8 says just that, 00:34:58.26\00:35:00.86 "O taste and see that the Lord is good. 00:35:00.93\00:35:03.47 Blessed is the man who trust in Him." 00:35:03.50\00:35:06.23 Now, in regards to the second part 00:35:06.27\00:35:08.47 of your statement, 00:35:08.50\00:35:09.84 I'd like to share these two verses with you, 00:35:09.87\00:35:11.71 James 2:14. 00:35:11.74\00:35:14.81 And it says, "What does it profit 00:35:14.84\00:35:16.75 my brethren, 00:35:16.78\00:35:18.11 if someone says he has faith, 00:35:18.15\00:35:20.42 but does not have works. 00:35:20.45\00:35:21.78 Can faith save him? 00:35:21.82\00:35:23.59 And James 2:18, which says, 00:35:23.62\00:35:26.12 "But someone will say you have faith, 00:35:26.15\00:35:28.56 and I have works, 00:35:28.59\00:35:29.92 show me your faith without your works 00:35:29.96\00:35:31.89 and I will show you my faith by my works." 00:35:31.93\00:35:36.63 We should embrace an attitude 00:35:36.67\00:35:38.50 of what can I do to live out my faith 00:35:38.53\00:35:43.20 on a deeper level. 00:35:43.24\00:35:44.94 And I think that that should be our attitude. 00:35:44.97\00:35:48.74 All right, Brother, thank you for that. 00:35:48.78\00:35:50.81 Pastor Lomacang coming back to you. 00:35:50.85\00:35:52.18 Okay. 00:35:52.21\00:35:53.55 This person, I actually enjoyed this next question, 00:35:53.58\00:35:55.45 because I'm eager to hear your response. 00:35:55.48\00:35:56.85 All right. 00:35:56.89\00:35:58.22 This person says, "Is it okay 00:35:58.25\00:35:59.69 for Seventh-day Adventist like myself 00:35:59.72\00:36:02.12 to visit other churches, different denominations, 00:36:02.16\00:36:05.36 or those that go to church on Sunday?" 00:36:05.39\00:36:07.13 Okay. 00:36:07.23\00:36:08.53 Let me establish something from the very beginning 00:36:08.56\00:36:10.37 the words of Jesus, John 10:16, 00:36:10.40\00:36:12.80 "Other sheep I have which are not of this fold, 00:36:12.83\00:36:16.84 them also I must bring and they will hear my voice 00:36:16.91\00:36:19.54 and there will be one fold and one shepherd." 00:36:19.57\00:36:22.38 So Jesus outright, 00:36:22.41\00:36:24.25 even in the journey of the disciples 00:36:24.28\00:36:26.35 on the Sea of Galilee, 00:36:26.38\00:36:27.95 when He set out to journey, 00:36:27.98\00:36:29.32 the Bible says other little boats 00:36:29.35\00:36:31.45 were also with Him. 00:36:31.49\00:36:32.82 He had followers in other ships. 00:36:32.85\00:36:34.52 The difference is, when you read, 00:36:34.56\00:36:36.42 when I read John 10:16, he says, 00:36:36.46\00:36:38.36 "Them also I must bring, 00:36:38.39\00:36:40.03 He doesn't say that we joined 00:36:40.10\00:36:41.60 that flock where they are." 00:36:41.63\00:36:43.33 He says, "Them also I must bring." 00:36:43.37\00:36:45.60 I've to ask the question, 00:36:45.63\00:36:47.00 what is the purpose of your visit? 00:36:47.04\00:36:48.37 Because I have in the past when I was in the singing group 00:36:48.40\00:36:50.57 Heritage singers, 00:36:50.61\00:36:51.94 we sang at many Sunday churches. 00:36:51.97\00:36:53.94 We sang at any denomination that invited us to sing. 00:36:53.98\00:36:56.95 Well, I used every opportunity to do 00:36:57.01\00:36:58.95 was give out Great Controversy, 00:36:58.98\00:37:01.12 Desire of Ages and Steps to Christ to pastors, 00:37:01.15\00:37:03.45 to people, 00:37:03.52\00:37:04.85 anybody that came for the altar call. 00:37:04.89\00:37:06.79 What I don't want to do is indict, 00:37:06.82\00:37:09.79 indict people as being non-Christians 00:37:09.82\00:37:11.96 that don't love the Lord that go to church on Sunday. 00:37:11.99\00:37:14.46 What I want to be very careful to do is Deuteronomy 12:30, 00:37:14.50\00:37:17.97 because this is where the seduction is coming in. 00:37:18.00\00:37:20.54 You see the Hebrews when they were told 00:37:20.57\00:37:22.17 on the Plain of Dura to bow down, 00:37:22.20\00:37:24.34 when the music play, they didn't bow. 00:37:24.37\00:37:26.21 Why? 00:37:26.24\00:37:27.84 Because it was not the instruments. 00:37:27.88\00:37:30.18 But when music leads you to bow at the wrong altar, 00:37:30.25\00:37:34.12 it ceases to be worship to the true God. 00:37:34.15\00:37:36.79 And music today is leading people 00:37:36.82\00:37:38.39 to the wrong altar. 00:37:38.42\00:37:39.75 And they're getting satisfied, 00:37:39.79\00:37:41.12 and I know many former Adventists 00:37:41.16\00:37:42.76 that started on their musical journey, 00:37:42.79\00:37:44.99 and they are now no longer Adventists. 00:37:45.03\00:37:47.23 And that's why Deuteronomy 12:30, 00:37:47.30\00:37:49.23 is very key in my final answer. 00:37:49.26\00:37:51.67 The Lord says, "Take heed to yourself 00:37:51.70\00:37:53.50 that you are not ensnared to follow after them, 00:37:53.54\00:37:58.11 and that you do not inquire 00:37:58.14\00:37:59.74 after their God's saying, 00:37:59.77\00:38:01.98 'How did these nations serve their gods, 00:38:02.01\00:38:05.55 I also will do likewise.'" 00:38:05.58\00:38:08.22 We must only serve the Lord and worship Him 00:38:08.25\00:38:11.05 in spirit and in truth. 00:38:11.09\00:38:12.62 So if I go, I'm going to be a witness 00:38:12.65\00:38:14.66 to someone not to become, 00:38:14.69\00:38:16.89 we're not to become what they are 00:38:16.96\00:38:18.79 and stay where they are. 00:38:18.83\00:38:20.93 Amen. Great answer. 00:38:20.96\00:38:22.26 All right. 00:38:22.30\00:38:23.67 Miss Shelley, coming back to you 00:38:23.70\00:38:25.03 this question says, 00:38:25.07\00:38:26.97 and this is, okay, this question says, 00:38:27.04\00:38:29.70 "I've come to believe Jesus Christ, 00:38:29.74\00:38:32.17 come to believe in Jesus Christ, 00:38:32.21\00:38:33.98 but I'm getting confused about His true personality 00:38:34.01\00:38:37.55 as God Himself or the Son of God? 00:38:37.58\00:38:40.98 Is Jesus Christ God Himself or is He a Son of God? 00:38:41.02\00:38:45.65 I hope I don't confuse you in this short answer. 00:38:45.69\00:38:48.02 I will be speaking on this at camp meeting. 00:38:48.06\00:38:50.53 Root of Jesse, root of David, 00:38:50.56\00:38:52.23 messianic titles, Son of God, messianic title. 00:38:52.26\00:38:55.53 The divine essence of Jesus Christ 00:38:55.56\00:38:59.17 is was Eternal God. 00:38:59.20\00:39:02.67 He is the second person of the Godhead, 00:39:02.70\00:39:05.31 our Creator. John 1:1-3 says, 00:39:05.34\00:39:08.41 "In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, 00:39:08.44\00:39:10.61 the Word was God. 00:39:10.68\00:39:12.48 And He was with God in the beginning." 00:39:12.51\00:39:14.48 And it says, 00:39:14.52\00:39:15.85 "All things were made through Him. 00:39:15.88\00:39:17.25 Without Him nothing was made that was made." 00:39:17.32\00:39:19.35 Philippians 2:5-8 says, 00:39:19.39\00:39:21.79 "Christ was eternal God. 00:39:21.82\00:39:23.89 He didn't think equality with God 00:39:23.96\00:39:26.16 was something to hold onto. 00:39:26.19\00:39:28.13 He humbled Himself, 00:39:28.16\00:39:29.73 He became a man 00:39:29.76\00:39:31.93 and He became obedient to the point of death. 00:39:31.97\00:39:35.24 God required the death penalty for sin. 00:39:35.27\00:39:38.94 God came down 00:39:38.97\00:39:40.68 and in the person of Jesus Christ 00:39:40.71\00:39:42.54 became the last Adam 00:39:42.58\00:39:43.98 and paid that death penalty. 00:39:44.05\00:39:47.52 Revelation 13:8 says, 00:39:47.55\00:39:49.35 "He was the Lamb 00:39:49.38\00:39:50.72 who was slain 00:39:50.79\00:39:52.15 from the foundation of the world." 00:39:52.19\00:39:53.66 This has always been God's plan 00:39:53.69\00:39:56.19 for salvation by grace and redemption. 00:39:56.22\00:39:59.53 So the second person of the Godhead came down 00:39:59.56\00:40:05.67 and became the Son of God. 00:40:05.70\00:40:07.84 The first person of the Godhead 00:40:07.87\00:40:09.57 became His Father. 00:40:09.60\00:40:11.11 Son of God is a covenant term. 00:40:11.14\00:40:14.58 It is used of a human being, 00:40:14.61\00:40:17.11 who is a covenant son of promise. 00:40:17.15\00:40:20.38 We see, Adam was called the son of God, 00:40:20.42\00:40:22.85 the nation of Israel, is Adam was, 00:40:22.88\00:40:25.89 Luke 3:38, nation of Israel. 00:40:25.92\00:40:28.39 The son of God in Exodus 4:22. 00:40:28.42\00:40:31.33 Jeremiah 31:20, Hosea 1:11, 00:40:31.36\00:40:34.73 the king is referred to as the son of God. 00:40:34.76\00:40:37.40 And Psalm 2:7, 00:40:37.43\00:40:38.77 Solomon is referred to as the son of God. 00:40:38.80\00:40:41.44 In 2 Samuel 7:14. 00:40:41.47\00:40:43.87 And then Hebrews 1:5, 00:40:43.94\00:40:47.91 the first person of the Godhead, 00:40:47.94\00:40:49.98 looks at the person of Jesus Christ and says, 00:40:50.01\00:40:52.78 "You are My Son, 00:40:52.81\00:40:55.02 today I have begotten You. 00:40:55.05\00:40:57.02 And again: 00:40:57.05\00:40:58.52 I will be to Him a Father, 00:40:58.55\00:41:00.66 He shall be to me a Son?" 00:41:00.69\00:41:03.93 At a point in time, 00:41:03.96\00:41:06.09 God became the covenant Son of God. 00:41:06.13\00:41:09.63 But in Hebrews 1:8, God the Father, 00:41:09.66\00:41:12.20 declares the son's deity. 00:41:12.23\00:41:14.87 It says, "To the Son," 00:41:14.90\00:41:17.07 He says, "Your throne, 00:41:17.11\00:41:18.81 O God is forever and ever." 00:41:18.84\00:41:21.61 Very quickly. 00:41:21.64\00:41:22.98 Firstborn is a covenant term, 00:41:23.01\00:41:25.38 which means preeminence. 00:41:25.41\00:41:27.38 Begotten is a covenant term, 00:41:27.42\00:41:30.09 which means you were chosen for a covenant purpose. 00:41:30.15\00:41:33.66 And Son of God is this same type of term. 00:41:33.72\00:41:38.66 Please watch our camp meeting. 00:41:38.69\00:41:41.13 I'll spend an hour on this. 00:41:41.16\00:41:43.30 That was good. That was very, very good. 00:41:43.33\00:41:46.03 Lots to talk about in such a short time, 00:41:46.07\00:41:48.07 she did a great job. 00:41:48.10\00:41:49.44 Thank you. 00:41:49.47\00:41:50.84 All right, Jason, this person says, 00:41:50.87\00:41:53.31 "So do we have to go to church to be Christian, 00:41:53.34\00:41:56.51 or believe in God?" 00:41:56.54\00:41:59.18 Well, if someone chooses not to go to church, 00:41:59.21\00:42:01.98 then you'd be doing yourself a great disservice. 00:42:02.02\00:42:05.39 Hebrews 10:23-25, 00:42:05.42\00:42:09.06 "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope 00:42:09.09\00:42:11.99 without wavering, 00:42:12.03\00:42:13.40 for he who promised is faithful. 00:42:13.43\00:42:16.30 And let us consider one another 00:42:16.33\00:42:18.00 in order to stir up love and good works, 00:42:18.03\00:42:20.74 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, 00:42:20.80\00:42:24.07 as is the manner of some but exhorting one another. 00:42:24.11\00:42:27.78 And so much the more 00:42:27.81\00:42:29.91 as you see the day approaching." 00:42:29.94\00:42:32.95 As Christians or followers of Christ, 00:42:32.98\00:42:35.65 as the name implies, 00:42:35.68\00:42:37.49 we should do what Jesus did. 00:42:37.55\00:42:39.15 Luke 4:16 says, "So he came to Nazareth, 00:42:39.19\00:42:43.12 where He had been brought up. 00:42:43.16\00:42:45.03 And as His custom was, 00:42:45.06\00:42:46.86 He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, 00:42:46.90\00:42:51.17 and stood up to read." 00:42:51.20\00:42:53.40 Now, when you go to church, 00:42:53.47\00:42:55.27 you're surrounded by people who will lift you up in prayer. 00:42:55.30\00:42:59.37 Acts 12:5-7, 00:42:59.41\00:43:02.48 "Peter was therefore kept in prison, 00:43:02.51\00:43:05.28 but constant prayer was offered to God 00:43:05.31\00:43:08.55 for him by the church. 00:43:08.58\00:43:10.62 And when Herod 00:43:10.69\00:43:12.02 was about to bring him out that night, 00:43:12.05\00:43:14.26 Peter was sleeping 00:43:14.29\00:43:15.62 bound with two chains between two soldiers, 00:43:15.66\00:43:18.69 and the guards before the door 00:43:18.73\00:43:20.40 were keeping the prison. 00:43:20.43\00:43:22.03 Now, behold, an angel of the Lord 00:43:22.06\00:43:23.63 stood by him 00:43:23.67\00:43:25.00 and a light shone in the prison. 00:43:25.03\00:43:26.80 And he struck Peter on the side 00:43:26.84\00:43:29.04 and raised him up saying, 'Arise quickly,' 00:43:29.07\00:43:31.74 and his chains fell off his hands.'" 00:43:31.77\00:43:34.18 And you'll have to read the rest of the story 00:43:34.24\00:43:36.04 in your Bible. 00:43:36.08\00:43:39.55 Okay, all right. All right. 00:43:39.58\00:43:41.85 Well, you know that, it seems like that section, 00:43:41.88\00:43:44.42 you know, each of us going back and forth. 00:43:44.45\00:43:46.72 It's just like rapid fire, 00:43:46.76\00:43:48.09 especially when we're trying to say it in that two minute, 00:43:48.12\00:43:50.59 two minute time frame, but this is the part 00:43:50.63\00:43:53.06 with the time that we have remaining, 00:43:53.09\00:43:54.76 where I throw out some extra questions, 00:43:54.83\00:43:57.23 some bonus questions, 00:43:57.30\00:43:58.63 and we let each of you just kind of, 00:43:58.67\00:44:00.17 it's kind of a free for all for you 00:44:00.24\00:44:01.57 to just jump in there 00:44:01.60\00:44:02.94 and again provide an answer as the Lord gives it to you. 00:44:02.97\00:44:05.37 So this question actually comes from Jayce. 00:44:05.41\00:44:08.91 And Jayce says, 00:44:08.94\00:44:10.75 "I attended an Adventist University 00:44:10.78\00:44:12.65 when I was in college, 00:44:12.68\00:44:14.12 and I heard the concept of fasting from my roommate. 00:44:14.15\00:44:18.05 She often said that she would fast 00:44:18.09\00:44:19.92 when there's an upcoming major exam. 00:44:19.95\00:44:23.12 I don't understand why she was doing that. 00:44:23.16\00:44:25.79 Does God answer prayers faster when we fast? 00:44:25.83\00:44:29.96 What's the purpose of fasting and should we do it?" 00:44:30.03\00:44:34.10 Okay, I'm going to jump in first on this. 00:44:34.14\00:44:36.97 Fasting is simply giving up the cravings of our flesh. 00:44:37.01\00:44:41.91 Generally, we're speaking of food, too, 00:44:41.94\00:44:44.75 because you have a greater spiritual craving. 00:44:44.78\00:44:47.58 Does God ask us? 00:44:47.62\00:44:48.98 Listen to Joel 2:12, 00:44:49.02\00:44:53.32 "Now therefore," says the Lord, 00:44:53.36\00:44:54.69 "turn to me 00:44:54.72\00:44:56.06 with all your heart with fasting, 00:44:56.09\00:44:57.59 with weeping, with mourning, 00:44:57.63\00:44:58.99 bring your heart, your garments, 00:44:59.03\00:45:00.96 return to the Lord, your God." 00:45:00.96\00:45:03.57 We see fasting throughout the Bible, 00:45:03.60\00:45:05.50 Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, 00:45:05.53\00:45:07.24 I mean, there's just all of these examples. 00:45:07.27\00:45:09.84 The early church in Acts 13:2 is a good example. 00:45:09.87\00:45:13.88 They fasted, the prophets and the teachers fasted. 00:45:13.91\00:45:17.75 They were seeking God for... 00:45:17.78\00:45:21.02 They wanted to know His will. 00:45:21.05\00:45:23.62 So what fasting does 00:45:23.69\00:45:26.02 when James 14 said that if we humble ourselves 00:45:26.05\00:45:29.86 before the Lord, 00:45:29.89\00:45:31.39 He'll lift us up. 00:45:31.43\00:45:33.26 Fasting is something that we see in Isaiah 58 00:45:33.29\00:45:37.63 that God tells them, hey, you're not fasting right, 00:45:37.67\00:45:40.10 you're doing it for all the wrong reasons. 00:45:40.14\00:45:42.40 Fasting should bring about prayer, 00:45:42.44\00:45:46.21 praise and rejoicing. 00:45:46.24\00:45:48.68 And you know what's interesting? 00:45:48.71\00:45:50.95 When you fast, I think when we eat, 00:45:50.98\00:45:55.05 I had a large lunch today, 00:45:55.08\00:45:56.95 and it took me several hours to get over it. 00:45:56.99\00:45:59.95 You know what I'm saying? 00:46:00.09\00:46:01.42 I ate too many beans and rice. 00:46:01.46\00:46:03.99 So when you fast, 00:46:04.06\00:46:07.46 you don't have all of the blood going to your stomach 00:46:07.50\00:46:11.03 for the digestion and all this. 00:46:11.07\00:46:13.54 There is a clarity of mind. 00:46:13.57\00:46:17.31 Jesus at one point said 00:46:17.34\00:46:19.27 that this kind when His disciples 00:46:19.31\00:46:23.35 couldn't kick out a demon, 00:46:23.38\00:46:25.18 He says, "They come out only by prayer and fasting." 00:46:25.21\00:46:28.38 Is there really a good reason for fasting? 00:46:28.42\00:46:31.22 I think I know a lot of people 00:46:31.25\00:46:32.99 who benefit from fasting, 00:46:33.02\00:46:34.89 and it is throughout the Bible, 00:46:34.92\00:46:37.26 you find examples. 00:46:37.33\00:46:39.13 That's right. That's right. 00:46:39.16\00:46:41.03 All right. 00:46:41.06\00:46:42.60 Second question. 00:46:42.63\00:46:43.97 We'll throw it out there. Here it is. 00:46:44.03\00:46:45.50 This comes from Merrick in Minnesota. 00:46:45.53\00:46:51.61 And this person says, "Why did Jesus say to Mary, 00:46:51.64\00:46:54.58 "Touch me not for I am not yet ascended 00:46:54.61\00:46:57.75 to My Father," 00:46:57.78\00:46:59.11 as found in John 20:17? 00:46:59.15\00:47:02.05 Yet in Matthew 28:9, 00:47:02.08\00:47:04.55 Jesus didn't say that to the disciples 00:47:04.59\00:47:06.92 when they held Him or held Him," 00:47:06.99\00:47:09.46 I guess, "at or by the feet." 00:47:09.49\00:47:10.99 I guess that's what it says. Okay. 00:47:11.03\00:47:13.03 Well, one clarity in Matthew 28:9, 00:47:13.06\00:47:15.33 it wasn't the disciples, 00:47:15.36\00:47:16.70 there was the other women that held Him by the feet. 00:47:16.77\00:47:20.04 Now let's go to John 20:17. 00:47:20.07\00:47:21.87 And I'll go ahead and read that too 00:47:21.90\00:47:23.91 in the interest of time, 00:47:23.94\00:47:25.27 it says, Mary is now in the garden, 00:47:25.31\00:47:28.21 believing that Jesus is the gardener. 00:47:28.24\00:47:30.55 And this is the reference I made earlier 00:47:30.58\00:47:32.25 until He speaks. 00:47:32.28\00:47:33.62 And then she reaches out to hold him. 00:47:33.65\00:47:36.15 One version says touch me not, that's the King James version. 00:47:36.18\00:47:39.25 But the New King James says, 00:47:39.29\00:47:40.66 "Do not cling to me, 00:47:40.69\00:47:42.02 for I have not yet ascended to My Father." 00:47:42.06\00:47:44.13 John 20:17, 00:47:44.16\00:47:45.66 "But go to my brethren and say to them, 00:47:45.69\00:47:48.13 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, 00:47:48.16\00:47:50.87 and to My God and Your God.'" 00:47:50.93\00:47:52.43 Now, this is amazing. 00:47:52.47\00:47:53.80 It is evident that between the time 00:47:53.84\00:47:55.34 Jesus told Mary not to cling to Him, 00:47:55.37\00:47:58.07 and the time He met the other women, 00:47:58.11\00:47:59.44 this is the miraculous part 00:47:59.47\00:48:00.91 I've been searching the scriptures. 00:48:00.94\00:48:02.28 It is evident that He went to heaven 00:48:02.31\00:48:03.65 and came back. 00:48:03.68\00:48:05.01 I mean, we don't know how fast, 00:48:05.05\00:48:06.48 we might say, well, 00:48:06.51\00:48:07.85 how long does it take to get to the moon? 00:48:07.88\00:48:09.22 That's human. Right. 00:48:09.25\00:48:10.72 But how long does it take for Jesus to go to heaven 00:48:10.75\00:48:12.32 and come back? 00:48:12.35\00:48:13.69 Because you find in Matthew 28:9, 00:48:13.72\00:48:15.76 I'm gonna go ahead and see this, 00:48:15.79\00:48:17.16 now brings the other women into the picture. 00:48:17.19\00:48:19.66 And it says in verse 9, 00:48:19.69\00:48:21.00 "And as they went to tell His disciples, 00:48:21.03\00:48:26.07 behold, Jesus met them, 00:48:26.10\00:48:28.94 'Rejoice!' 00:48:28.97\00:48:30.31 So they came and held Him 00:48:30.34\00:48:31.67 by the feet and worshiped Him.'" 00:48:31.71\00:48:33.98 This is the miraculous event. 00:48:34.01\00:48:37.25 How long does it take for, and this is amazing thought, 00:48:37.28\00:48:40.72 how long does it take 00:48:40.75\00:48:42.08 for our prayers to reach heaven? 00:48:42.12\00:48:45.99 If He took five hours, we'll be in trouble. 00:48:46.02\00:48:48.42 How long would it take for a miraculous risen Savior 00:48:48.46\00:48:51.76 to do what only God can do? 00:48:51.79\00:48:53.50 That's right. 00:48:53.53\00:48:55.23 We'll never understand that until that day comes. 00:48:55.26\00:48:57.97 So Jesus gave the woman the same instruction 00:48:58.00\00:49:00.27 that He had given to Mary, 00:49:00.30\00:49:02.04 which indicates evidently 00:49:02.07\00:49:03.44 He hadn't gotten to His disciples yet, 00:49:03.47\00:49:05.34 because look what He said to the women now 00:49:05.37\00:49:06.81 that held onto Him. 00:49:06.84\00:49:08.24 In verse 10, "Then Jesus said to them, 00:49:08.28\00:49:10.51 'Do not be afraid, 00:49:10.58\00:49:11.91 go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, 00:49:11.95\00:49:14.65 and there they will see Me." 00:49:14.68\00:49:17.12 So the other women go to tell the disciples 00:49:17.15\00:49:19.25 and something happens. 00:49:19.29\00:49:20.62 Verse 11, 00:49:20.69\00:49:22.02 "Now while they were going, behold, 00:49:22.06\00:49:23.39 some of the guards came into the city 00:49:23.43\00:49:24.76 and reported to the chief priests, 00:49:24.79\00:49:26.29 all the things that had happened." 00:49:26.33\00:49:28.90 Now when you go back, 00:49:28.93\00:49:30.57 you begin to see 00:49:30.60\00:49:31.93 and I'm going to just wind it up here. 00:49:31.97\00:49:33.34 Between the time He told Mary don't cling to Me. 00:49:33.37\00:49:37.51 It blows me away, 00:49:37.54\00:49:39.67 that He went and came back 00:49:39.71\00:49:43.28 because on His way now to Galilee, 00:49:43.35\00:49:45.68 He meets the other women, 00:49:45.71\00:49:47.25 and they are able to touch Him. 00:49:47.32\00:49:49.58 What makes the difference between Mary not touching Me, 00:49:49.62\00:49:52.42 and the other woman clinging to Me, 00:49:52.45\00:49:54.32 is this singular point. 00:49:54.36\00:49:56.06 Don't touch Me 00:49:56.09\00:49:57.43 because I have not yet ascended to my Father. 00:49:57.46\00:50:00.50 On that very note, 00:50:00.53\00:50:01.83 we cannot help but to conclude, 00:50:01.86\00:50:03.93 if He says don't touch because I've not ascended, 00:50:03.97\00:50:05.87 He didn't say, don't touch me because you're Mary. 00:50:05.90\00:50:07.84 He said, "Don't touch me, I've not yet ascended." 00:50:07.87\00:50:09.77 Now He lifts that band, 00:50:09.80\00:50:11.74 because He has ascended and returned. 00:50:11.77\00:50:13.54 That's why the other women can now cling to Him 00:50:13.58\00:50:16.11 before He goes to Galilee to meet with His, 00:50:16.14\00:50:19.35 with His disciples. 00:50:19.38\00:50:22.02 Amen. All right, Praise the Lord. 00:50:22.05\00:50:24.39 Nobody else wants to add anything to that? 00:50:24.42\00:50:25.99 All right, okay. 00:50:26.02\00:50:27.36 I'm still absorbing all of that. 00:50:27.42\00:50:29.39 We literally have like a minute, 00:50:29.42\00:50:31.06 I'm going to throw this one out there. 00:50:31.09\00:50:32.43 Maybe we have a real quick answer. 00:50:32.46\00:50:33.96 "What happens to the ones that go to outer darkness? 00:50:34.00\00:50:36.70 Do they ever get to join Jesus?" 00:50:36.73\00:50:39.00 This comes from Cindy in Washington. 00:50:39.03\00:50:40.90 You know, there's one place where the outer darkness 00:50:40.94\00:50:43.20 it talks about the weeping and gnashing of teeth. 00:50:43.24\00:50:45.51 And that just makes it sound like 00:50:45.54\00:50:46.91 oh, they're suffering so badly, 00:50:46.94\00:50:48.28 but in Scripture, weeping and gnashing of teeth, 00:50:48.31\00:50:51.01 meant you were angry. 00:50:51.05\00:50:52.51 So those who go into the outer darkness, 00:50:52.55\00:50:54.78 that weeping and gnashing of teeth, 00:50:54.82\00:50:56.72 they don't repent. 00:50:56.75\00:50:58.09 They're still angry with God, and they're grrr-grrr, 00:50:58.12\00:51:02.06 you know, at God. 00:51:02.09\00:51:03.63 So what happens to them? 00:51:03.66\00:51:05.86 They've missed that, that time, 00:51:05.89\00:51:09.06 that opportunity to repent. 00:51:09.10\00:51:11.57 And they'll see Him again, but not a good term, 00:51:11.60\00:51:13.90 which is a second resurrection. 00:51:13.94\00:51:15.27 That's the unfortunate part. 00:51:15.30\00:51:16.87 Revelation 12:7-9. That's right. 00:51:16.91\00:51:18.77 I just want to make sure 00:51:18.81\00:51:20.14 I'm not casting that outer darkness. 00:51:20.18\00:51:21.51 I want to be within the glorious light 00:51:21.54\00:51:23.91 of Jesus Christ. 00:51:23.95\00:51:25.28 And I know you do, too. 00:51:25.31\00:51:26.65 Hey, we certainly appreciate you joining us. 00:51:26.68\00:51:28.45 We're not quite through here. 00:51:28.48\00:51:29.82 We just have a couple of minutes 00:51:29.85\00:51:31.19 on the other side of a break. 00:51:31.22\00:51:32.55 But we want again remind you 00:51:32.59\00:51:33.92 of how you can send in your Bible questions. 00:51:33.96\00:51:36.69 There's two different ways you can do that. 00:51:36.73\00:51:39.03 And we're actually going to show you 00:51:39.06\00:51:40.40 how to do that right now. 00:51:40.46\00:51:43.80 If you're enjoying our 3ABN Bible Q and A, 00:51:43.83\00:51:46.67 then tell your friends. 00:51:46.70\00:51:48.20 Each Monday we'll bring you a fresh program, 00:51:48.24\00:51:50.67 answering the Bible questions you send us 00:51:50.74\00:51:53.01 and we'll use God's Holy Word 00:51:53.04\00:51:54.64 to shed light on those texts 00:51:54.68\00:51:56.08 that seem difficult to understand. 00:51:56.11\00:51:58.38 If you would like your questions 00:51:58.41\00:51:59.75 answered on an upcoming program, 00:51:59.78\00:52:01.65 just email them to us. 00:52:01.68\00:52:03.22 Our email address is BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:52:03.25\00:52:07.99 That's BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:52:08.02\00:52:12.66 You can also text us your questions 00:52:12.69\00:52:14.56 by sending them to (618) 228-3975. 00:52:14.56\00:52:19.17 That number again is (618) 228-3975. 00:52:19.20\00:52:24.17 Be sure to include your name and where you live, 00:52:24.21\00:52:26.74 and then watch 3ABN Bible Q and A 00:52:26.78\00:52:29.38 for the answers from God's Word. 00:52:29.41\00:52:31.85
