hour. 00:03:06.95\00:03:08.28 And I can assure you 00:03:08.32\00:03:10.29 that each one of them could spend more time 00:03:10.32\00:03:12.99 on each question, 00:03:13.02\00:03:14.46 but because we're trying to get 00:03:14.49\00:03:16.09 as many questions in as possible 00:03:16.12\00:03:18.06 there's well, we try to limit the answers 00:03:18.09\00:03:20.10 to something concise and precise. 00:03:20.13\00:03:22.23 So please understand this. 00:03:22.26\00:03:23.93 Let me tell you 00:03:23.97\00:03:25.30 how you can participate in this program 00:03:25.33\00:03:26.70 because many of you your request. 00:04:04.94\00:04:08.41 We have already prayed 00:04:08.44\00:04:09.78 and we are ready to ask the questions. 00:04:09.81\00:04:11.75 The first one goes to Pastor John Lomacang. 00:04:11.78\00:04:14.62 Romans 6:14 says, 00:04:14.65\00:04:17.99 "For sin shall not have dominion over you, 00:04:18.02\00:04:22.09 for you are not under law but under grace. 00:04:22.12\00:04:25.66 What law is this verse referring to? 00:04:25.69\00:04:28.96 Is it referring to the Ten Commandments 00:04:29.00\00:04:31.20 or the ceremonial laws? 00:04:31.23\00:04:33.70 Also, what does the phrase not under the law mean?" 00:04:33.77\00:04:38.94 This is from Julie from South Dakota. 00:04:38.97\00:04:41.01 Okay, great. 00:04:41.04\00:04:42.38 That's Romans 6-14. 00:04:42.41\00:04:43.75 And when you read the context of that 00:04:43.78\00:04:45.11 Paul is not referring to any law in particular, 00:04:45.15\00:04:47.68 he's referring to law as a principle. 00:04:47.75\00:04:50.02 And let me give you an understanding 00:04:50.05\00:04:51.39 of exactly what that means. 00:04:51.42\00:04:53.59 If and I want you to hear me carefully. 00:04:53.62\00:04:57.09 If the law, if the power of sin can make you sin. 00:04:57.16\00:05:02.76 I'm gonna slowdown and say that again, 00:05:02.80\00:05:04.80 if sin can make you sin, it has dominion over you, 00:05:04.83\00:05:09.24 but it cannot make you sin. 00:05:09.27\00:05:11.24 We are, first it starts with a temptation 00:05:11.27\00:05:13.74 and then we yield. 00:05:13.81\00:05:15.38 Let me walk you through the steps. 00:05:15.41\00:05:16.78 So when it says, 00:05:16.81\00:05:18.15 for sin shall not have dominion over you, 00:05:18.18\00:05:20.75 Paul is talking about the principle of the power 00:05:20.78\00:05:23.05 of what sin does. 00:05:23.08\00:05:24.42 Here's the example of that, Romans 6-16. 00:05:24.45\00:05:27.19 Sin does not have dominion over you 00:05:27.22\00:05:29.29 until you yield. 00:05:29.32\00:05:31.16 Here's Romans 6:16, 00:05:31.19\00:05:32.76 "Do you not know that 00:05:32.79\00:05:34.10 whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, 00:05:34.13\00:05:37.30 you are that one's slave whom you obey, 00:05:37.37\00:05:40.04 whether of sin leading to death 00:05:40.07\00:05:41.40 or of obedience leading to righteousness." 00:05:41.44\00:05:43.81 The King James Version uses the phrase yield. 00:05:43.84\00:05:46.47 When you yield, 00:05:46.51\00:05:47.88 you discover, wait a minute, 00:05:47.91\00:05:49.24 I'm no longer in control, 00:05:49.28\00:05:50.61 because one leads to righteousness, 00:05:50.65\00:05:52.45 the other one leads to death. 00:05:52.48\00:05:53.92 The evidence of that is Romans 7:17. 00:05:53.95\00:05:57.09 But now, it is no longer I who do it, 00:05:57.12\00:05:59.55 but sin that dwells in me." 00:05:59.59\00:06:01.19 Paul is saying, 00:06:01.22\00:06:02.56 "Wait a minute, sin is now in control. 00:06:02.59\00:06:04.49 What I want to do, I can't do, 00:06:04.56\00:06:05.89 what I don't want to do, that's exactly what I'm doing." 00:06:05.93\00:06:09.83 That is the dominion over you. 00:06:09.86\00:06:11.87 The power of the power that you have yielded yourself to 00:06:11.90\00:06:15.67 that is now in control. 00:06:15.70\00:06:17.21 Let's go further. 00:06:17.24\00:06:18.57 The second parts of that, 00:06:18.61\00:06:19.94 for you are not under law, but under grace. 00:06:19.97\00:06:21.94 It means that we gain salvation, 00:06:21.98\00:06:23.78 we do not gain salvation legalistically, 00:06:23.85\00:06:27.22 we gain salvation by God's grace. 00:06:27.25\00:06:30.72 We don't gain salvation by measuring up to a law. 00:06:30.79\00:06:33.86 Salvation is solely on the basis of God's grace. 00:06:33.89\00:06:37.26 Salvation is not a legal transaction 00:06:37.33\00:06:39.56 on our part, 00:06:39.59\00:06:40.96 but a legal transaction on the part of Jesus. 00:06:41.00\00:06:43.57 He paid the price, the legal requirement, 00:06:43.60\00:06:46.17 the wages of sin is death. 00:06:46.20\00:06:48.30 And then he extends to a salvation by grace. 00:06:48.34\00:06:51.17 That's why it says, 00:06:51.21\00:06:52.54 law can either save you 00:06:52.57\00:06:54.71 and law cannot cause you to sin. 00:06:54.74\00:06:57.85 When you yield, it has dominion, 00:06:57.91\00:07:00.22 Christ breaks that dominion and then extends to us grace, 00:07:00.25\00:07:03.79 that's when we are no longer under that law, 00:07:03.82\00:07:06.39 the power to make us do what we want to do 00:07:06.42\00:07:08.16 what we don't want to do. 00:07:08.19\00:07:09.56 But we're under the grace of Christ 00:07:09.59\00:07:11.13 that now works his will through us and in us. 00:07:11.16\00:07:14.20 Hope that was clear to you. 00:07:14.20\00:07:15.53 Paul says clearly in Romans 3:24, 00:07:15.56\00:07:18.10 "Being justified freely by His grace 00:07:18.13\00:07:21.34 through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus." 00:07:21.40\00:07:24.21 That's a free gift, 00:07:24.27\00:07:25.61 not a legal transaction on our part. 00:07:25.64\00:07:27.84 Praise the Lord. 00:07:27.88\00:07:29.21 This is one of that... 00:07:29.24\00:07:30.61 Romans 6:14 read like this, 00:07:30.65\00:07:33.18 "For sin shall not have dominion over you," 00:07:33.21\00:07:34.85 that's powerful, 00:07:34.88\00:07:36.22 and we should understand that and embrace that. 00:07:36.25\00:07:38.49 Let's go to Sister Shelley Quinn. 00:07:38.52\00:07:40.66 This is another question that has come in. 00:07:40.72\00:07:42.69 We do not have a person's name or where it came from. 00:07:42.72\00:07:46.86 We want to encourage you to send that in as well. 00:07:46.90\00:07:49.60 So they can help us as we do this program. 00:07:49.63\00:07:53.03 Here's the question. 00:07:53.07\00:07:54.40 "Did Jesus lose His omnipresence for eternity? 00:07:54.47\00:07:59.04 Or did He get it back after His resurrection? 00:07:59.07\00:08:03.18 Can you please share where you find your answers?" 00:08:03.21\00:08:06.82 Absolutely. 00:08:06.85\00:08:08.18 In Philippians 2:5-8, 00:08:08.22\00:08:09.62 the Bible says that Jesus emptied Himself. 00:08:09.65\00:08:12.89 God emptied Himself of His glory 00:08:12.92\00:08:15.49 of His divine prerogatives, 00:08:15.52\00:08:17.49 He took on the flesh of mankind. 00:08:17.53\00:08:19.36 And when He took on that flesh, 00:08:19.39\00:08:21.26 He was physically limited to be one place at one time. 00:08:21.33\00:08:26.13 He was resurrected in that flesh, 00:08:26.17\00:08:29.70 Luke 24:36-39 said after his resurrection, 00:08:29.74\00:08:34.31 he showed his, the nail wounds in His hands and His feet 00:08:34.34\00:08:38.61 and He told His disciples, 00:08:38.65\00:08:41.68 a spirit doesn't have flesh and blood 00:08:41.72\00:08:44.42 like flesh and bone says I have. 00:08:44.45\00:08:47.12 He walked the earth for 40 days after His resurrection, 00:08:47.16\00:08:51.79 and He ascended to heaven in that glorified place. 00:08:51.83\00:08:55.46 Acts 1:11 says, 00:08:55.50\00:08:56.87 "This same Jesus 00:08:56.90\00:08:58.23 who was taken up from you into heaven 00:08:58.27\00:09:00.70 will so come in like manner as you have seen him 00:09:00.74\00:09:05.51 go into heaven." 00:09:05.54\00:09:07.94 I love what Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:45. 00:09:08.01\00:09:10.81 Jesus is the last Adam. 00:09:10.88\00:09:13.05 He is the new representative of humankind, 00:09:13.08\00:09:15.68 and He is at the right hand of the Father. 00:09:15.72\00:09:18.65 He is our high priest it says. 00:09:18.69\00:09:20.49 Hebrews 4:15 says, that can sympathize with us. 00:09:20.52\00:09:24.56 But Jesus said in John 16:7 to His disciples, 00:09:24.59\00:09:28.43 it's to your advantage that I go away 00:09:28.46\00:09:30.70 because if I do, if I don't, 00:09:30.77\00:09:33.03 he said, the helper can't come to you, 00:09:33.07\00:09:34.74 but if I do, I'll send the Holy Spirit. 00:09:34.77\00:09:37.04 Why was it to their advantage? 00:09:37.07\00:09:41.18 So that Jesus could be present in their heart 00:09:41.21\00:09:43.58 through the Holy Spirit. 00:09:43.61\00:09:45.08 In Ephesians 3:16-17, Paul says, 00:09:45.11\00:09:50.02 be strengthened with might 00:09:50.05\00:09:51.49 through the Spirit in the inner man, 00:09:51.52\00:09:53.22 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. 00:09:53.25\00:09:57.93 "Jesus' omnipresence 00:09:57.96\00:09:59.93 is achieved through the Holy Spirit 00:09:59.96\00:10:02.50 who is one with him. 00:10:02.53\00:10:05.47 But the Holy Spirit is now in all. 00:10:05.50\00:10:08.94 Thank you. Praise the Lord. 00:10:08.97\00:10:10.57 Well, here's the question I cannot give to Shelley 00:10:10.61\00:10:13.98 nor Pastor Lomacang 00:10:14.04\00:10:15.38 because it is addressed specifically to Pastor Ryan. 00:10:15.41\00:10:18.31 So it says here, 00:10:18.35\00:10:19.85 "In a previous episode, 00:10:19.88\00:10:21.75 you only read one Bible text in Genesis 00:10:21.78\00:10:24.45 concerning gay marriage, 00:10:24.49\00:10:26.32 which was about a man cleaving to his wife. 00:10:26.35\00:10:30.06 Gay men and women call their other partner, 00:10:30.09\00:10:32.99 husband or wife. 00:10:33.03\00:10:34.73 Can you please read 00:10:34.76\00:10:36.16 some of those more direct emphatic scriptures 00:10:36.20\00:10:38.87 that you referenced." 00:10:38.90\00:10:40.50 This is from Marianne? 00:10:40.57\00:10:41.90 Yeah, absolutely, I appreciate this question. 00:10:41.94\00:10:43.64 And I appreciate the opportunity 00:10:43.67\00:10:45.01 to be able to clarify, 00:10:45.04\00:10:46.37 because if I remember correctly, 00:10:46.41\00:10:47.84 that particular question that was given to me 00:10:47.91\00:10:49.81 was the second question asked in the very first episode, 00:10:49.84\00:10:53.01 and it was my very first question. 00:10:53.05\00:10:54.98 And we were trying to stick within 00:10:55.02\00:10:56.85 that two minute time frame, 00:10:56.89\00:10:58.22 and I let time get away from me 00:10:58.25\00:10:59.59 and didn't get to read more text. 00:10:59.62\00:11:01.16 But I do want to be very clear that the Bible makes it clear. 00:11:01.19\00:11:04.39 In fact, let me just make this clear, clear 00:11:04.43\00:11:06.83 that God is very much very clear in His Word 00:11:06.86\00:11:11.53 that He stands strongly 00:11:11.60\00:11:12.93 against the practice of homosexuality, 00:11:12.97\00:11:15.10 it was not in His plan. 00:11:15.14\00:11:16.97 It's very clear that 00:11:17.01\00:11:18.34 God condemns that particular lifestyle. 00:11:18.37\00:11:20.94 And He makes it very clear that 00:11:21.01\00:11:22.48 that marriage between and relations 00:11:22.51\00:11:24.78 should only occur 00:11:24.81\00:11:26.15 between a married man and a married woman. 00:11:26.18\00:11:28.25 Very, very clear on that. 00:11:28.28\00:11:29.62 Now, where do we get this from? 00:11:29.65\00:11:31.05 We read a couple of texts here. 00:11:31.12\00:11:32.52 I referenced these texts in the first episode, 00:11:32.55\00:11:34.59 but I want to read them at this point. 00:11:34.62\00:11:36.12 Leviticus 18:22. 00:11:36.16\00:11:39.13 Notice what the Bible says. 00:11:39.16\00:11:40.50 It says, "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, " 00:11:40.53\00:11:44.10 speaking to the males. 00:11:44.17\00:11:45.50 Of course, this was instruction 00:11:45.53\00:11:46.87 given to Levitical priesthood as well 00:11:46.90\00:11:48.30 as the children of Israel. 00:11:48.34\00:11:49.67 It goes on to say, 00:11:49.70\00:11:51.04 "It is an abomination. 00:11:51.11\00:11:52.44 So a man to lie with the man, 00:11:52.47\00:11:53.81 God says, it's an abomination." 00:11:53.84\00:11:55.34 I'm not going to have that, right? 00:11:55.38\00:11:56.78 Leviticus 20:13, says, 00:11:56.81\00:11:58.75 "If a man lies with a male, as he lies with a woman, 00:11:58.78\00:12:01.92 both of them have committed an abomination, 00:12:01.95\00:12:05.15 they shall surely be put to death, 00:12:05.19\00:12:07.79 their blood shall be upon them." 00:12:07.82\00:12:09.56 So this was something 00:12:09.59\00:12:10.96 that was so strong 00:12:10.99\00:12:12.33 within the Lord's understanding of His mentality, 00:12:12.36\00:12:14.10 His feelings, His attitude towards these practices, 00:12:14.13\00:12:17.07 He says, it's worthy to be put to death. 00:12:17.10\00:12:19.47 And He instructed this, 00:12:19.50\00:12:20.84 so during the time of the children of Israel 00:12:20.87\00:12:22.57 under Moses' leadership, 00:12:22.60\00:12:25.44 but the one that I think is 00:12:25.47\00:12:26.81 even more clear in the New Testament. 00:12:26.84\00:12:28.18 I'm going to read from Romans 1:24-32. 00:12:28.21\00:12:32.38 And the Bible goes on to say, it says, 00:12:32.41\00:12:33.85 "For this reason, 00:12:33.88\00:12:35.22 God gave them up to vile passions." 00:12:35.25\00:12:36.85 Talking about the, 00:12:36.89\00:12:38.22 those, the unrighteous of those particular days. 00:12:38.29\00:12:40.16 It says, "For even their women exchanged the natural use 00:12:40.19\00:12:43.66 for what is against nature," 00:12:43.69\00:12:45.16 okay? 00:12:45.19\00:12:46.53 "Likewise also the men, 00:12:46.56\00:12:48.06 leaving the natural use of the woman, 00:12:48.10\00:12:50.67 burned in their lust for one another." 00:12:50.73\00:12:52.83 So he's not talking about this in a positive context. 00:12:52.87\00:12:54.90 He goes on to say, 00:12:54.94\00:12:56.27 "Men and men committing what is shameful, 00:12:56.30\00:12:58.77 and receiving in themselves 00:12:58.81\00:13:00.34 the penalty of their error which was due." 00:13:00.38\00:13:02.98 And then he goes on to list all of these different sins 00:13:03.01\00:13:05.55 that will not inherit the kingdom of God. 00:13:05.58\00:13:07.82 And among those, of course, is sexual immorality 00:13:07.85\00:13:10.39 and, of course, the practice of homosexuality. 00:13:10.42\00:13:13.42 The Bible is very, very, very clear. 00:13:13.46\00:13:15.76 And we need to be very clear on that. 00:13:15.79\00:13:17.33 Well, we also have to be careful also, though, 00:13:17.36\00:13:19.26 and I just want to say this, 00:13:19.29\00:13:20.63 and take the extra time to make this clear. 00:13:20.66\00:13:22.66 Many times we can have such a passion 00:13:22.70\00:13:24.93 against these certain sins, 00:13:24.97\00:13:26.67 especially if we don't suffer from them ourselves, 00:13:26.70\00:13:29.14 that we want to make it clear, 00:13:29.17\00:13:30.51 let the world know that these things are horrible, 00:13:30.54\00:13:32.14 and they were wrong. 00:13:32.17\00:13:33.51 But you know, I actually have friends 00:13:33.54\00:13:36.34 that have suffered from this homosexual lifestyle. 00:13:36.38\00:13:38.81 And if you talk to them about this, 00:13:38.85\00:13:40.45 they'll be glad to admit and they have admitted, 00:13:40.48\00:13:42.48 yes, the Bible is clearly against it. 00:13:42.52\00:13:44.25 It's not the Lord's will, 00:13:44.29\00:13:45.62 but they often feel as if they are attacked, 00:13:45.65\00:13:48.59 because it seems like 00:13:48.62\00:13:49.96 sometimes people want to uplift 00:13:49.99\00:13:51.69 and make homosexuality a horrible, horrible sin 00:13:51.73\00:13:54.66 above any other type of sin. 00:13:54.73\00:13:56.33 And we need to make sure that sin is sin, right? 00:13:56.36\00:13:58.60 It doesn't matter if it's homosexuality, 00:13:58.63\00:14:00.57 if it's thieving, if it's lying, 00:14:00.60\00:14:02.04 if it's murdering, 00:14:02.07\00:14:03.41 sin is sin, we should call sin by its name, 00:14:03.44\00:14:05.77 and not make any type of, 00:14:05.81\00:14:07.54 you know, worst case scenario out of it. 00:14:07.58\00:14:09.48 We should call it by its name, 00:14:09.51\00:14:10.85 say exactly what it says in the Bible. 00:14:10.91\00:14:12.55 Homosexuality is a sin. 00:14:12.58\00:14:14.68 And so are many other things as well. 00:14:14.72\00:14:16.55 Let's look to Jesus Christ. 00:14:16.58\00:14:18.35 And let's forsake our sins today 00:14:18.39\00:14:20.62 and give them over to Him. 00:14:20.66\00:14:22.42 Thank you very much. 00:14:22.46\00:14:23.79 Next question is for Pastor John Lomacang. 00:14:23.83\00:14:26.86 And this one mentions two scriptures. 00:14:26.90\00:14:31.00 "I would like you to explain Genesis 43:1-9 00:14:31.03\00:14:34.57 and Genesis 44:1-17, 00:14:34.60\00:14:37.31 why did Joseph have his cup placed 00:14:37.34\00:14:39.87 in Benjamin's sack? 00:14:39.91\00:14:41.71 What lesson should I learn from that?" 00:14:41.74\00:14:44.18 This is from Bridget in Trinidad. 00:14:44.21\00:14:47.18 I preached a sermon years ago called from Pits to Palaces. 00:14:47.22\00:14:50.92 And sometimes our lives begin in the pit 00:14:50.95\00:14:53.62 and we end up in a palace, 00:14:53.66\00:14:54.99 but we don't end up 00:14:55.02\00:14:56.36 where we are outside of God's will. 00:14:56.39\00:14:57.96 Your family may have started your life off in a pit, 00:14:57.99\00:15:01.06 but God could take that pit and end it in a palace. 00:15:01.10\00:15:04.43 This is a story of a young boy named Joseph, 00:15:04.50\00:15:07.24 who was maligned by his brother. 00:15:07.27\00:15:09.40 He had a coat of many colors. 00:15:09.44\00:15:11.27 I think part of the problem that Joseph had 00:15:11.34\00:15:13.04 where he just couldn't keep his mouth shut. 00:15:13.07\00:15:15.21 God was blessing him so much. 00:15:15.24\00:15:16.58 He just said, by the way, had a dream 00:15:16.61\00:15:18.31 and you guys gonna kneel to me, 00:15:18.38\00:15:19.71 I mean, I probably would have, 00:15:19.75\00:15:21.08 you know, as an older brother said, 00:15:21.12\00:15:22.45 "How can we shut this guy up?" 00:15:22.48\00:15:23.85 And he was one of the 12. 00:15:23.89\00:15:25.22 So they said, let's just get rid of this guy 00:15:25.25\00:15:26.62 because he's taken all the blessings 00:15:26.65\00:15:28.09 that are coming our way. 00:15:28.12\00:15:29.49 Unfortunately, they sold him off into slavery. 00:15:29.52\00:15:32.49 He ended up in prison. 00:15:32.53\00:15:34.60 He was wrongly accused by Potiphar's wife. 00:15:34.63\00:15:37.43 He was forgotten by the butcher and the baker 00:15:37.47\00:15:39.63 and the candlestick maker. 00:15:39.67\00:15:41.67 He was a person 00:15:41.74\00:15:43.07 that went through much difficulty. 00:15:43.10\00:15:45.24 But the question is, 00:15:45.27\00:15:46.61 why did Joseph have the cup placed 00:15:46.64\00:15:48.28 in Benjamin sack? 00:15:48.31\00:15:50.08 When his brothers came to Egypt, 00:15:50.11\00:15:52.95 seeking food because of the famine 00:15:52.98\00:15:54.92 that was gripping their own native land. 00:15:54.95\00:15:57.89 They met the governor, 00:15:57.92\00:15:59.25 and much older now, didn't recognize him. 00:15:59.29\00:16:02.06 And he spoke to them first by representative 00:16:02.09\00:16:05.06 until he revealed himself later on, 00:16:05.09\00:16:07.13 and wanting to teach them a lesson 00:16:07.20\00:16:08.73 about the gravity of their sins selling him off into slavery. 00:16:08.76\00:16:12.50 He said, "Bring back Benjamin." 00:16:12.53\00:16:13.87 And they said, wait a minute, wait a minute event. 00:16:13.90\00:16:15.54 Anything happened to Benjamin 00:16:15.57\00:16:16.91 because, you know, Joseph has already gone. 00:16:16.94\00:16:19.31 If anything happens to Benjamin, 00:16:19.34\00:16:20.68 dad is going to die. 00:16:20.71\00:16:22.04 He said bring him back, 00:16:22.08\00:16:23.41 so he put when Benjamin came back, 00:16:23.45\00:16:25.85 he put that cups in 00:16:25.88\00:16:27.22 and make sure it's in Benjamin's sack. 00:16:27.25\00:16:29.22 And boy, their hearts sunk thinking that 00:16:29.25\00:16:31.59 oh man, Benjamin could be now the victim 00:16:31.62\00:16:33.89 of the Egyptian Government. 00:16:33.92\00:16:36.32 Well, if you know the rest of the story, 00:16:36.36\00:16:38.69 the nutshell of it was this. 00:16:38.73\00:16:40.76 Joseph was teaching his sinful brothers 00:16:40.80\00:16:44.73 who are filled with hatred 00:16:44.77\00:16:46.40 about how their evil was turned around 00:16:46.43\00:16:50.17 and made good for God, 00:16:50.21\00:16:51.57 because had it not been for Joseph 00:16:51.61\00:16:53.01 being the governor in Egypt, 00:16:53.04\00:16:55.18 his family would not have been saved 00:16:55.24\00:16:56.58 in times of famine. 00:16:56.61\00:16:57.95 There's a very famous passage, what you meant for evil, 00:16:58.01\00:17:00.92 God turned around and used for good. 00:17:00.95\00:17:02.95 That's simply what the story is all about. 00:17:02.98\00:17:05.19 Thank you very much. 00:17:05.22\00:17:06.55 We go now from Trinidad to North Carolina. 00:17:06.59\00:17:09.72 Rida has a question. 00:17:09.76\00:17:11.43 Shelley, how about as you tackle this one? 00:17:11.46\00:17:13.73 "Can you explain 00:17:13.76\00:17:15.06 how people think that Jesus is Michael 00:17:15.10\00:17:18.13 if Michael is clearly taught that he is the archangel? 00:17:18.17\00:17:23.51 We typically think, Rida, 00:17:23.54\00:17:25.37 of angels has been winged creatures. 00:17:25.41\00:17:28.74 Let me make one thing clear. 00:17:28.78\00:17:30.71 Jesus is not a created being. 00:17:30.75\00:17:34.32 Jesus is our Creator. 00:17:34.35\00:17:37.25 In the Hebrew malakh and in Greek angelos 00:17:37.29\00:17:42.02 are words that are translated angel or messenger. 00:17:42.06\00:17:47.96 Messenger is often is angel with malakh. 00:17:47.96\00:17:51.40 Arch means chief, the principal, 00:17:51.43\00:17:54.47 the top, the highest. 00:17:54.50\00:17:56.54 So an archangel 00:17:56.57\00:17:58.87 is not a winged little created being, 00:17:58.91\00:18:02.44 it is the highest of God's messengers. 00:18:02.48\00:18:07.18 Now, in the Bible, there's only one named angel, 00:18:07.22\00:18:10.49 and that's Gabriel. 00:18:10.52\00:18:11.85 And Gabriel has the highest position 00:18:11.89\00:18:14.86 that an angel can attain. 00:18:14.92\00:18:16.66 In Luke 1:19, he says, 00:18:16.69\00:18:18.33 "I'm Gabriel, 00:18:18.39\00:18:19.73 who stands in the presence of God." 00:18:19.76\00:18:21.66 He is one of the two cherubim at the throne of God, 00:18:21.73\00:18:25.43 that's the highest an angel can become. 00:18:25.47\00:18:28.10 A messenger in the Old Testament, 00:18:28.17\00:18:32.87 we have a special messenger when you see an angel of God. 00:18:32.91\00:18:37.15 It's talking about a created being, 00:18:37.18\00:18:39.05 a winged being. 00:18:39.08\00:18:40.62 But there is a special messenger 00:18:40.65\00:18:42.62 in the Old Testament 00:18:42.65\00:18:43.99 is called the angel of God. 00:18:44.02\00:18:47.62 He appeared to Hagar, Abraham, Jacob, Balaam, 00:18:47.66\00:18:51.29 Gideon, Joseph, Manoah, Zechariah, 00:18:51.36\00:18:53.96 he led Israel by a pillar of fire 00:18:54.00\00:18:56.23 and a pillar of cloud. 00:18:56.26\00:18:58.67 And every time in context, the angel of the Lord speaks. 00:18:58.70\00:19:04.57 This is our covenant keeping God Yahweh. 00:19:04.64\00:19:09.14 There are five references in the Bible to Michael. 00:19:09.18\00:19:14.28 There are three in Daniel 00:19:14.32\00:19:15.65 where he is considered the prince, 00:19:15.68\00:19:17.92 the prince of the covenant. 00:19:17.95\00:19:19.42 That is a messianic title 00:19:19.45\00:19:20.96 we find in Isaiah 9:6 for Jesus. 00:19:20.99\00:19:23.76 There are only two other references 00:19:23.79\00:19:25.79 to Michael, 00:19:25.83\00:19:27.13 Revelation 12:7, 00:19:27.20\00:19:28.83 "War broke out in heaven, 00:19:28.86\00:19:30.20 Michael and his angels fought with the dragon." 00:19:30.23\00:19:33.13 Reminds me that 00:19:33.17\00:19:34.54 he is the captain of the Lord's army 00:19:34.57\00:19:36.44 just as he was in Joshua 5:14 00:19:36.47\00:19:39.74 when it talks about the angel of the Lord. 00:19:39.77\00:19:42.61 And then Jude 1:9, 00:19:42.64\00:19:43.98 "Michael the archangel 00:19:44.01\00:19:45.35 contented with the devil for Moses' body." 00:19:45.38\00:19:48.42 There's only two references in the Bible 00:19:48.45\00:19:50.45 for archangel. 00:19:50.49\00:19:51.82 Jude 1:9 that we just read is one 00:19:51.89\00:19:54.49 and the other is 1 Thessalonians 4:16, 00:19:54.56\00:19:56.83 "The Lord Himself will descend with a shout, 00:19:56.86\00:19:59.59 with the voice of the archangel 00:19:59.63\00:20:01.86 and the trumpet will sound, 00:20:01.90\00:20:03.23 the dead in Christ will rise first." 00:20:03.26\00:20:06.40 Michael, the famous commentator Matthew Henry says this, 00:20:06.43\00:20:13.17 "Michael is our Prince, the eternal Word, 00:20:13.21\00:20:17.95 the angel of the covenant, who is the Lord of the angels." 00:20:18.01\00:20:22.72 That's right. 00:20:22.75\00:20:24.09 Michael is the title for Jesus Christ. 00:20:24.12\00:20:27.32 Thank you very much. 00:20:27.36\00:20:28.89 I know you can keep going on that but time is limited. 00:20:28.92\00:20:32.13 Now we go to a Bible prophecy question 00:20:32.16\00:20:34.40 and this is for Pastor Ryan. 00:20:34.46\00:20:37.33 What is the 1335th days? 00:20:37.37\00:20:41.27 I know that in Bible prophecy that a day means a year. 00:20:41.30\00:20:45.61 What does the 1335th days years refer to." 00:20:45.64\00:20:50.25 This is from Frank in California. 00:20:50.28\00:20:52.81 Yeah, absolutely. 00:20:52.85\00:20:54.18 So this actually goes in with the same time frame 00:20:54.22\00:20:56.72 as the 1290 days, 00:20:56.75\00:20:59.35 both of which are mentioned there in Daniel 12:11-12, 00:20:59.39\00:21:03.29 where it says, 00:21:03.32\00:21:04.69 "And from that time 00:21:04.73\00:21:06.06 that the daily sacrifice is taken away." 00:21:06.09\00:21:07.76 Of course, that word sacrifice is italicized, 00:21:07.76\00:21:09.93 because it's not in the original language. 00:21:09.96\00:21:11.30 So it actually read, 00:21:11.33\00:21:12.67 and from that time that the daily is taken away, 00:21:12.70\00:21:15.07 and the abomination of desolation is set up, 00:21:15.10\00:21:17.44 there shall be 1290 days. 00:21:17.47\00:21:20.38 And then verse 12, 00:21:20.41\00:21:21.74 "Blessed is he who waits and comes to the 1335 days." 00:21:21.81\00:21:27.05 And the person who submitted this question, 00:21:27.08\00:21:29.45 Frank, it was, you're absolutely correct, 00:21:29.48\00:21:32.42 to apply the day for a year principle here, 00:21:32.45\00:21:34.92 as this particular time frame 00:21:34.99\00:21:36.73 fits all the way up to the time of 1844. 00:21:36.76\00:21:41.00 And I'll provide some support for that in the time given. 00:21:41.03\00:21:43.63 So first of all, to understand this, 00:21:43.67\00:21:45.17 you have to understand what the daily is. 00:21:45.20\00:21:46.53 Now that's a whole another question 00:21:46.57\00:21:48.04 in and of itself. 00:21:48.07\00:21:49.40 But the word used here 00:21:49.44\00:21:50.77 in the original Hebrew for daily 00:21:50.81\00:21:53.31 is the word tamid. 00:21:53.34\00:21:55.91 And tamid simply means continual or perpetual ongoing. 00:21:55.94\00:21:59.65 Now what is it that was continual 00:21:59.68\00:22:01.68 on ongoing and perpetual? 00:22:01.72\00:22:03.22 In this instance, the tamid, the daily 00:22:03.25\00:22:05.42 was everything that the priest done 00:22:05.45\00:22:07.42 in the Holy Place 00:22:07.46\00:22:08.79 and the Most Holy Place of the sanctuary. 00:22:08.82\00:22:10.83 There were two surfaces in the sanctuary, 00:22:10.86\00:22:12.49 the yearly and the daily, 00:22:12.53\00:22:14.56 everything that was carried out in the Holy Place. 00:22:14.60\00:22:16.67 And, of course, the... 00:22:16.70\00:22:18.77 I said Holy Place and Most Holy Place earlier, 00:22:18.80\00:22:20.67 it should be the courtyard and the Holy Place. 00:22:20.70\00:22:23.07 I want to make that correction very clear. 00:22:23.10\00:22:24.64 The courtyard and the Holy Place 00:22:24.71\00:22:26.44 was called the daily. 00:22:26.47\00:22:28.08 Every single one of those articles of furniture 00:22:28.11\00:22:29.91 and everything that was done 00:22:29.94\00:22:31.38 in the courtyard, and in the Holy Place 00:22:31.45\00:22:33.52 was done on a daily basis. 00:22:33.55\00:22:35.12 And it points forward 00:22:35.15\00:22:36.95 to the ministry of Jesus Christ, 00:22:36.99\00:22:38.79 the daily mediatorial ministry of Jesus Christ 00:22:38.82\00:22:41.99 is our bread of life, our light of the world, 00:22:42.06\00:22:44.63 our intercessor, our sacrifice, 00:22:44.66\00:22:47.73 and you can find each and every time 00:22:47.76\00:22:49.96 that in the Book of Leviticus and Exodus, 00:22:50.00\00:22:52.43 that the altar of sacrifice is mentioned, 00:22:52.47\00:22:55.44 the altar of burnt sacrifices, 00:22:55.50\00:22:57.27 and the table of showbread 00:22:57.31\00:22:58.67 and the seven branched candlestick, 00:22:58.71\00:23:00.18 all of which is used that same word 00:23:00.21\00:23:02.18 tamid, the daily, 00:23:02.21\00:23:04.21 it's a daily works 00:23:04.25\00:23:05.58 where it points to the daily work of Christ. 00:23:05.65\00:23:07.28 So we get to that 1335 days, how do we make sense of it? 00:23:07.32\00:23:11.62 Well, when the daily is taken away, 00:23:11.69\00:23:13.56 let's go back and read it. 00:23:13.59\00:23:14.96 It says when the daily is taken away, 00:23:14.99\00:23:17.93 that daily was taken away prophetically in 508 AD. 00:23:17.96\00:23:23.10 Now what happened in 508 AD? 00:23:23.13\00:23:25.47 May give you a little bit of quick history here 00:23:25.53\00:23:26.97 so we can move on with our other questions. 00:23:27.00\00:23:29.40 You said quick history. 00:23:29.44\00:23:30.77 Yeah, quick history. 00:23:30.81\00:23:32.17 508 AD, 00:23:32.21\00:23:33.54 Clovis the king of the Franks 00:23:33.58\00:23:34.91 basically converted to Catholicism. 00:23:34.94\00:23:37.71 But when he converted to Catholicism, 00:23:37.75\00:23:39.25 not only did that open up the door 00:23:39.28\00:23:41.02 for church and state amalgamation, 00:23:41.05\00:23:43.32 but it also opened the door for the priesthood 00:23:43.35\00:23:46.86 man to become a replacement for them 00:23:46.89\00:23:50.06 daily ministering work of Christ. 00:23:50.09\00:23:52.43 That is the abomination which brought about desolation, 00:23:52.46\00:23:55.66 the fall in 1798 of that papal system, 00:23:55.70\00:23:59.30 they put man in place of Christ. 00:23:59.33\00:24:01.74 So that's why there in Daniel 12:11-12. 00:24:01.77\00:24:06.14 It makes it very clear, 00:24:06.17\00:24:07.51 "Blessed is he who waits and comes 00:24:07.54\00:24:08.88 to the 1335 days. " 00:24:08.94\00:24:11.25 If you count from 508 AD 1335 years later, 00:24:11.28\00:24:17.19 it brings you to the time of 1843, 1844 00:24:17.22\00:24:21.52 where God has, was rising up a movement 00:24:21.56\00:24:23.93 that was about to restore the message of the sanctuary, 00:24:23.96\00:24:27.20 God's holy law 00:24:27.23\00:24:28.66 and bring about the final finishing work 00:24:28.73\00:24:32.00 of this earth and this kingdom. 00:24:32.03\00:24:33.50 Wow. Praise the Lord. 00:24:33.54\00:24:34.87 Thank you very much. 00:24:34.90\00:24:36.24 Well, the next question is for you at home. 00:24:36.27\00:24:38.44 That's right. 00:24:38.47\00:24:39.81 You at home I have a question for you. 00:24:39.84\00:24:41.18 Do you have a Bible question? 00:24:41.21\00:24:42.64 You can send it in to 3ABN, 00:24:42.68\00:24:45.48 so that you can have your question answered 00:24:45.51\00:24:47.22 by our panel. 00:24:47.25\00:24:48.58 That's right, you can participate 00:24:48.65\00:24:49.98 by writing to BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:24:50.02\00:24:54.36 BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:24:54.39\00:24:57.66 Send in your question, if you prefer you can text. 00:24:57.69\00:25:00.76 The number for that is (618) 228-3975, 00:25:00.80\00:25:05.20 (618) 228-3975. 00:25:05.23\00:25:07.64 One more time (618) 228-3975. 00:25:07.67\00:25:12.04 Perhaps you heard something 00:25:12.07\00:25:13.48 in this program so far that you say, 00:25:13.51\00:25:15.44 hey, I want more information on that. 00:25:15.51\00:25:17.65 So ask your question, 00:25:17.68\00:25:19.01 so that we can bring it to our panel here. 00:25:19.08\00:25:21.15 So let's continue now. 00:25:21.18\00:25:23.08 Let's go to Sister Shelley Quinn. 00:25:23.12\00:25:25.22 How about this question here? 00:25:25.25\00:25:27.42 My husband, oh, this is a sad one. 00:25:27.46\00:25:29.52 "My husband committed suicide a couple of years ago. 00:25:29.56\00:25:33.13 I struggle to make peace with it. 00:25:33.16\00:25:35.96 And I struggle to forgive him. 00:25:36.00\00:25:38.40 How do I forgive and forget." 00:25:38.47\00:25:41.44 And this is from a struggling widow. 00:25:41.47\00:25:43.97 I have some personal experience with this. 00:25:44.01\00:25:45.87 So my heart goes out to you. 00:25:45.91\00:25:48.18 Suicide is a heartbreaking tragedy, 00:25:48.21\00:25:51.31 it is bewildering. 00:25:51.35\00:25:53.75 And it is so difficult to as a survivor of the suicide 00:25:53.78\00:25:57.95 to get above and beyond that. 00:25:57.99\00:26:00.22 First, I want to just tell you, 00:26:00.26\00:26:01.62 sometimes suicide seems like it's so selfish, it's not. 00:26:01.66\00:26:05.56 People who commit suicide have a secret. 00:26:05.59\00:26:10.90 They're just in. 00:26:10.93\00:26:12.27 Their heart is in an angst. 00:26:12.30\00:26:13.94 They're desperate, they've lost hope. 00:26:13.97\00:26:16.74 So what happens though 00:26:16.77\00:26:18.51 the aftershock is so bewildering, 00:26:18.54\00:26:20.84 you will be confused, you feel abandoned, 00:26:20.88\00:26:22.84 you feel betrayed, you feel angry. 00:26:22.88\00:26:25.75 Anger is a natural emotion 00:26:25.78\00:26:29.22 as you're going through this grieving process. 00:26:29.25\00:26:31.39 And by the way, the grieving process 00:26:31.42\00:26:33.66 for normal grieving is about two years, 00:26:33.69\00:26:36.26 but they say for suicide it's three to five years 00:26:36.29\00:26:38.76 to get over this. 00:26:38.83\00:26:40.16 It's very devastating. 00:26:40.20\00:26:41.50 How do you forgive and forget? 00:26:41.53\00:26:43.43 God can help you forgive. 00:26:43.47\00:26:45.67 You won't ever forget. 00:26:45.73\00:26:47.64 I mean, that's just being honest. 00:26:47.67\00:26:49.80 What you need to or what I would suggest, 00:26:49.84\00:26:53.41 ask God to give you 00:26:53.44\00:26:54.78 a divine awareness of His presence. 00:26:54.81\00:26:56.41 Hebrews 13:5, he says, 00:26:56.44\00:26:58.31 "I'll never leave you, I'll never forsake you." 00:26:58.35\00:27:00.95 Your maker is your husband, he's with you. 00:27:00.98\00:27:03.69 Take your anger before the Lord. 00:27:03.72\00:27:06.12 And if, as you release that anger to God, 00:27:06.15\00:27:10.33 He can put forgiveness in your heart for your husband. 00:27:10.36\00:27:14.56 Just remember Romans 8:32 said, 00:27:14.60\00:27:17.53 "He who did not spare his own Son, 00:27:17.57\00:27:19.77 how will He not freely give you all things." 00:27:19.80\00:27:22.60 And Deuteronomy 33:27 says, 00:27:22.64\00:27:25.81 "The Lord is your refuge 00:27:25.87\00:27:27.84 and underneath are His everlasting arms, 00:27:27.88\00:27:30.75 He will thrust out the enemy of unforgiveness 00:27:30.78\00:27:33.85 from before you saying destroy." 00:27:33.88\00:27:36.25 I recommend read books 00:27:36.28\00:27:38.12 by Christian authors who have experienced this. 00:27:38.15\00:27:41.56 Find a support group of people 00:27:41.59\00:27:43.83 who've gone through the same thing. 00:27:43.86\00:27:45.19 Pray for others 00:27:45.23\00:27:46.56 who've gone through the same thing, 00:27:46.59\00:27:47.93 and perhaps seek a Christian counselor, 00:27:47.96\00:27:51.13 a professional Christian counselor, 00:27:51.17\00:27:54.74 who can help walk you 00:27:54.77\00:27:56.81 through all of these devastating emotions. 00:27:56.84\00:27:59.57 We're sorry. Amen. 00:27:59.61\00:28:01.01 Wow. Amen. 00:28:01.04\00:28:02.44 Wow. It's a tough question. 00:28:02.48\00:28:04.48 In difficult time may the Lord be with you. 00:28:04.51\00:28:07.72 Well, this next question is kind of interesting here 00:28:07.75\00:28:10.55 because I've heard it asked different ways, 00:28:10.59\00:28:13.62 but this one wants to know. 00:28:13.66\00:28:16.49 This was Pastor Lomacang, how about you? 00:28:16.52\00:28:19.03 "Would we still look the same in heaven 00:28:19.09\00:28:21.93 or would we look different? 00:28:21.96\00:28:23.60 I've heard some people say they want a little change. 00:28:23.63\00:28:26.70 But this one wants to know if... 00:28:26.74\00:28:28.67 This person wants to know if they will look different." 00:28:28.70\00:28:30.81 This question is based off 1 Corinthians 15:42-44. 00:28:30.84\00:28:36.91 You want to read that 00:28:36.95\00:28:38.28 or you want me to read that for you? 00:28:38.31\00:28:39.65 Sure, I'll go ahead and read it. 00:28:39.68\00:28:41.02 Okay. Go for it. 00:28:41.05\00:28:42.38 It says, "So also in the resurrection 00:28:42.45\00:28:43.79 of the dead, 00:28:43.82\00:28:45.15 the body is sown in corruption, 00:28:45.19\00:28:46.52 it is raised in incorruption. 00:28:46.55\00:28:47.89 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. 00:28:47.92\00:28:50.23 It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power." 00:28:50.26\00:28:52.96 Right away, it's alluding to the fact 00:28:52.99\00:28:54.46 that it's not going to be the same. 00:28:54.50\00:28:56.00 What it went down 00:28:56.03\00:28:57.37 looking like it's not going to come up the same way. 00:28:57.40\00:28:59.50 The dishonor is going to be replaced with honor, 00:28:59.53\00:29:02.87 the weakness is going to be replaced with power. 00:29:02.90\00:29:05.54 And the corruption is going to be replaced 00:29:05.57\00:29:08.18 with incorruption. 00:29:08.21\00:29:09.68 There's going to be a change not only in how we look, 00:29:09.71\00:29:12.18 and I'll use a few examples in the Bible. 00:29:12.21\00:29:14.65 The Lord is saying to us, 00:29:14.68\00:29:16.05 we're not going to look the same. 00:29:16.08\00:29:17.72 My favorite passage in the Bible, 1 John 3:2, 00:29:17.75\00:29:20.82 "Beloved, now we are children of God." 00:29:20.86\00:29:23.76 Listen carefully, 00:29:23.79\00:29:25.13 "And it has not yet been revealed 00:29:25.16\00:29:28.63 what we shall be." 00:29:28.70\00:29:30.67 Man, Ryan, there's hope for me yet. 00:29:30.70\00:29:32.07 Right. 00:29:32.10\00:29:33.44 "But we do, but we know that when he is revealed, 00:29:33.47\00:29:37.74 we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is." 00:29:37.77\00:29:41.18 And Paul later on in Colossians says, 00:29:41.21\00:29:43.21 "He will change our vile bodies 00:29:43.24\00:29:46.05 that may be fashioned likened to His glorious body." 00:29:46.08\00:29:50.05 So we know we're not going to have the same bodies. 00:29:50.09\00:29:51.89 My wife wants me to have a lot of muscles. 00:29:51.92\00:29:53.42 I said, "Honey, hold on. 00:29:53.46\00:29:55.39 Let's wait till we get to heaven. 00:29:55.46\00:29:56.86 I promise. 00:29:56.89\00:29:58.23 I promise one day 00:29:58.26\00:29:59.59 I'm gonna look very, very powerful." 00:29:59.63\00:30:01.10 But here's the glorious evidence of that. 00:30:01.13\00:30:04.27 Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13:12, 00:30:04.30\00:30:06.60 "For now we see in a mirror dimly." 00:30:06.63\00:30:09.34 We don't understand everything now. 00:30:09.40\00:30:11.71 "But then face to face now I know in part, 00:30:11.77\00:30:14.41 but then I shall know just as I also am known." 00:30:14.44\00:30:18.35 How did this play out in real time 00:30:18.38\00:30:20.82 when Mary was in the garden tomb, 00:30:20.85\00:30:23.12 and she was having a conversation 00:30:23.15\00:30:24.49 with the gardener. 00:30:24.52\00:30:26.96 It was not until he called her name Mary 00:30:26.99\00:30:29.92 then she realized, wait a minute. 00:30:29.96\00:30:31.39 This is not the gardener. 00:30:31.43\00:30:33.19 In John 20:16. 00:30:33.23\00:30:35.73 Jesus said to her, 00:30:35.76\00:30:37.10 Mary, she turned and said to Him, 00:30:37.13\00:30:39.23 Rabboni, which is to say, teacher, 00:30:39.30\00:30:42.07 it was the voice of Jesus that she was familiar with 00:30:42.10\00:30:46.37 because He was surely a whole lot more glorious. 00:30:46.41\00:30:49.84 She didn't see all the blood and the scars 00:30:49.88\00:30:52.48 The only thing remaining was a scar in his hand, 00:30:52.51\00:30:55.55 surely, I mean, the nail prints in his hand and in his side, 00:30:55.58\00:30:58.75 in his side and the thorns possibly on his brow, 00:30:58.82\00:31:01.69 but I tell you, He came forth glorious, 00:31:01.72\00:31:05.99 and one day our vile bodies 00:31:06.03\00:31:07.76 will be fashioned like unto His glorious body. 00:31:07.76\00:31:11.27 So if you having issues with how you look right now, 00:31:11.30\00:31:13.90 hold on, the Lord is not done yet. 00:31:13.94\00:31:18.04 Thank you so much. 00:31:18.07\00:31:19.44 Now we go to Pastor Ryan. 00:31:19.47\00:31:21.81 "If we are saved by grace, 00:31:21.84\00:31:24.65 why are we being judged by our works? 00:31:24.68\00:31:27.28 The Bible says 00:31:27.32\00:31:28.65 the Lord is going to reward good works." 00:31:28.68\00:31:32.25 All right. 00:31:32.32\00:31:33.66 Well, the simple answer to this question 00:31:33.69\00:31:35.39 is that the reason why we are judged by our works, 00:31:35.42\00:31:38.46 even though we are saved by grace is because 00:31:38.49\00:31:40.66 if you read Ephesians 2:8, it's got the full story. 00:31:40.70\00:31:44.67 If you go off what is being said, 00:31:44.70\00:31:46.20 we are saved by grace, 00:31:46.23\00:31:48.00 but it says we're saved by grace through faith. 00:31:48.04\00:31:51.67 Okay, not of ourselves. 00:31:51.71\00:31:53.34 It is the gift of God. 00:31:53.38\00:31:54.91 So we're saved by grace through faith. 00:31:54.94\00:31:57.61 But why are we judged by our works? 00:31:57.65\00:31:59.15 Because our works tell the story of our faith, right? 00:31:59.18\00:32:02.78 And so let's look at this from a biblical perspective. 00:32:02.82\00:32:05.62 Jesus did say 00:32:05.65\00:32:06.99 that He says in Revelation 22:12, 00:32:07.02\00:32:09.29 that He is coming quickly, He says, 00:32:09.32\00:32:10.66 My reward is with me 00:32:10.69\00:32:12.06 to get everyone according to his works, 00:32:12.09\00:32:14.20 even to the all seven of the, seven churches of Asia Minor. 00:32:14.23\00:32:17.53 He says, I know your works, I know your works. 00:32:17.57\00:32:19.83 He didn't say I know your faith. Why? 00:32:19.87\00:32:21.70 Because the works tells the story 00:32:21.74\00:32:23.37 of whether or not the faith is genuine or not. 00:32:23.41\00:32:26.57 In fact, James Chapter 2, 00:32:26.61\00:32:28.14 this is that great chapter you want to go to 00:32:28.18\00:32:30.35 when you want to properly understand 00:32:30.38\00:32:32.25 the relationship or the correlation 00:32:32.28\00:32:34.18 between works and faith? 00:32:34.22\00:32:36.25 And James spells it out very clearly. 00:32:36.28\00:32:37.82 James Chapter 2:14, 17, 18 and 26. 00:32:37.85\00:32:41.82 I may not read all of this, but I'm just referencing it, 00:32:41.86\00:32:43.99 James 2:14, 17, 18 and 26. 00:32:44.03\00:32:47.86 He says in verse 14, 00:32:47.86\00:32:49.20 "What does it profit, my brethren, 00:32:49.26\00:32:50.67 if someone says he has faith but does not have works? 00:32:50.70\00:32:54.20 Can faith save him? 00:32:54.24\00:32:55.74 And then verse 17, 00:32:55.80\00:32:57.14 "Thus also faith by itself, 00:32:57.17\00:32:59.84 if it does not have works, is dead." 00:32:59.87\00:33:03.21 He makes that very clearly. 00:33:03.24\00:33:04.58 And then verse 26, referencing here, it says, 00:33:04.61\00:33:07.05 "For as the body without the spirit is dead, 00:33:07.08\00:33:09.35 so faith without works is dead also." 00:33:09.42\00:33:12.79 Someone can tell you all day long, you know, 00:33:12.82\00:33:14.42 "Oh, I love Jesus. He's my Savior." 00:33:14.46\00:33:16.46 And they can again, as Jesus said, 00:33:16.49\00:33:17.99 drawn nigh to him with their lips. 00:33:18.03\00:33:20.06 But yet Jesus knows the heart and how does he judge 00:33:20.10\00:33:23.26 whether or not a person's heart their faith in Him is genuine, 00:33:23.30\00:33:26.67 the works tell the story, the fruit of the words. 00:33:26.70\00:33:28.90 If someone takes me out to a garden and says, 00:33:28.94\00:33:30.94 "Look at my apple tree, 00:33:30.97\00:33:32.31 and says, oh, look 00:33:32.37\00:33:33.71 how beautiful that apple tree is." 00:33:33.74\00:33:35.08 You can tell me all day long that that's an apple tree, 00:33:35.11\00:33:36.44 but I'm not going to believe that it's an apple tree 00:33:36.48\00:33:38.35 until I see the fruit of an apple 00:33:38.38\00:33:40.02 hanging on that apple tree. 00:33:40.05\00:33:41.38 The same thing goes for us, my friends, 00:33:41.42\00:33:42.88 we can claim the name of Christ, 00:33:42.92\00:33:44.59 we can believe that Jesus is our Savior, 00:33:44.62\00:33:46.49 all that we want mentally, 00:33:46.52\00:33:48.02 but the works, the fruit of those works 00:33:48.06\00:33:50.26 will tell the story 00:33:50.29\00:33:51.63 of the genuineness of that faith. 00:33:51.66\00:33:53.53 And if the faith is genuine, 00:33:53.56\00:33:55.66 then the person shall be saved by grace. 00:33:55.73\00:33:58.80 Another text really quickly. 00:33:58.83\00:34:00.24 Romans 1:5, it says, 00:34:00.27\00:34:02.24 "Through Him, we have received 00:34:02.27\00:34:03.81 grace and apostleship for obedience 00:34:03.84\00:34:08.14 to the faith among all nations for his namesake." 00:34:08.18\00:34:11.05 So we're saved by grace. 00:34:11.08\00:34:12.51 And the response of that should be, 00:34:12.55\00:34:14.58 I want my faith to be genuine. 00:34:14.62\00:34:16.42 And I want my works to show it." 00:34:16.45\00:34:18.85 Amen. Thank you so much. 00:34:18.89\00:34:20.99 Very good. 00:34:21.02\00:34:22.36 So now we got to Sister Shelley, 00:34:22.42\00:34:24.53 and it says here. 00:34:24.56\00:34:26.73 "One preacher says 00:34:26.76\00:34:28.06 we are living in hell right now, 00:34:28.10\00:34:30.83 meaning on this sinful planet. 00:34:30.87\00:34:32.90 If this is hell, 00:34:32.93\00:34:34.27 why do we have to wait for those who die in Christ 00:34:34.30\00:34:36.71 to be raised first in the resurrection 00:34:36.74\00:34:39.47 before we go to heaven." 00:34:39.54\00:34:40.88 This is from Princess. 00:34:40.91\00:34:42.41 Princess take note. 00:34:42.44\00:34:43.95 Okay. 00:34:43.98\00:34:45.31 In the Hebrew the word Sheol, 00:34:45.38\00:34:47.18 and in the Greek the word Hades 00:34:47.22\00:34:49.08 are both translated into English hell. 00:34:49.15\00:34:51.69 They mean the place of the dead, 00:34:51.72\00:34:53.46 it's translated as the grave, hell or pit. 00:34:53.49\00:34:57.19 There is another word in the Greek, Gehenna. 00:34:57.23\00:34:59.56 It is used 12 times 00:34:59.59\00:35:01.00 and this is talking about the lake of fire, 00:35:01.03\00:35:05.17 the hellfire that we think of, for punishment. 00:35:05.20\00:35:09.10 One other Greek word Tartaros is used only once. 00:35:09.17\00:35:13.38 And that's 2 Peter 2:4, 00:35:13.41\00:35:15.71 this is when God casts the evil 00:35:15.74\00:35:18.31 angels down to hell, put them in chains, 00:35:18.35\00:35:21.02 and reserved them for judgment. 00:35:21.05\00:35:25.42 Notice that word reserved, there is no hell yet. 00:35:25.45\00:35:29.32 Let me tell you 00:35:29.39\00:35:30.73 when, where and why hell will exist. 00:35:30.76\00:35:34.20 When in john 5:28- 29, as you alluded to, 00:35:34.20\00:35:37.93 there are two resurrections, 00:35:37.97\00:35:39.67 there's a resurrection of the righteous to life, 00:35:39.70\00:35:42.94 there's the resurrection of evil to damnation. 00:35:42.97\00:35:46.11 In 1 Thessalonians 00:35:46.14\00:35:47.54 we know that those who rise in Christ Jesus, 00:35:47.58\00:35:52.45 or who are in sleep in Christ Jesus 00:35:52.48\00:35:54.78 will rise first. 00:35:54.82\00:35:56.22 2 Peter 2:9. 00:35:56.25\00:35:59.29 2 Peter 2:9 says, 00:35:59.32\00:36:01.26 "God reserves the unjust for the Day of Judgment." 00:36:01.29\00:36:07.50 They are awaiting 00:36:07.50\00:36:08.83 that Great White Throne Judgment 00:36:08.90\00:36:10.50 of Revelation 20:11- 15 00:36:10.53\00:36:13.37 when they will be judged and cast into the lake of fire. 00:36:13.40\00:36:18.01 Jesus explains when, Matthew 13:40. 00:36:18.04\00:36:21.34 During... 00:36:21.38\00:36:22.71 When He's giving the parable of the wheat and the tares. 00:36:22.78\00:36:24.91 He says the tares are going to be gathered up, 00:36:24.95\00:36:26.75 they're going to be burned. 00:36:26.78\00:36:28.55 At the end, He said, 00:36:28.58\00:36:30.89 so it will be at the end of this age. 00:36:30.92\00:36:34.92 Hell is yet future, where? 00:36:34.96\00:36:36.59 Revelation 29 says that the evil of all ages, 00:36:36.62\00:36:41.23 they come up in this second resurrection. 00:36:41.26\00:36:43.77 The New Jerusalem has descended, 00:36:43.80\00:36:46.97 and as they attack the New Jerusalem, 00:36:47.00\00:36:50.04 it says fire came down from God out of heaven 00:36:50.07\00:36:52.97 and devoured them. 00:36:53.01\00:36:54.51 Revelation 20: 14 says, 00:36:54.54\00:36:56.64 "Death and Hades are cast into the lake of fire." 00:36:56.68\00:37:00.92 This is the second death. 00:37:00.95\00:37:03.35 That's what the Bible says. 00:37:03.39\00:37:04.72 It's the final eternal death. 00:37:04.75\00:37:07.26 And we can prove, Revelation 26 says, 00:37:07.29\00:37:09.99 "Blessed and holy is he 00:37:10.03\00:37:11.96 who has part in the first resurrection." 00:37:11.99\00:37:14.83 That's the righteous because over such 00:37:14.83\00:37:17.00 the second death has no power. 00:37:17.03\00:37:18.93 Why? 00:37:18.97\00:37:20.30 Here's the why. 00:37:20.34\00:37:21.67 Why did God flood the earth? 00:37:21.70\00:37:23.47 He turned the earth into a lake of water 00:37:23.51\00:37:26.98 to purge it of sin. 00:37:27.01\00:37:28.94 He is at the end of all ages after Christ has returned 00:37:28.98\00:37:33.31 and we've gone to heaven for 1000 years. 00:37:33.35\00:37:35.82 He is going to have that second resurrection 00:37:35.88\00:37:39.49 and turn the earth into a lake of fire 00:37:39.55\00:37:42.36 to purge the earth of sin and consequentially of sinners. 00:37:42.42\00:37:47.86 Praise the Lord. Thank you for all of that. 00:37:47.93\00:37:49.56 I will say 00:37:49.63\00:37:51.00 an intense Bible study in a short time. 00:37:51.03\00:37:54.84 Here we go Pastor Lomacang, are you ready? 00:37:54.87\00:37:57.04 Yes. I think so. 00:37:57.07\00:37:58.41 This says here, this is a follow up question. 00:37:58.44\00:38:01.18 "In light of the fact that you do everything 00:38:01.21\00:38:04.05 to avoid a narcissistic person in the workplace, 00:38:04.08\00:38:07.68 and they know that 00:38:07.72\00:38:09.08 you're doing everything to maintain the peace. 00:38:09.12\00:38:11.39 What do you do 00:38:11.42\00:38:12.75 when you have to relate to them, 00:38:12.79\00:38:14.36 and they seize these opportunities 00:38:14.39\00:38:16.66 to craft hurtful and traumatic experiences?" 00:38:16.69\00:38:20.06 This is from Janice. 00:38:20.10\00:38:21.70 And this says the HR and other administration 00:38:21.73\00:38:23.33 do you wrong all the time, 00:38:23.37\00:38:24.87 take them behind the barn. 00:38:24.90\00:38:26.23 I saw Shelley sitting there 00:38:29.10\00:38:30.57 and that's the angst 00:38:30.61\00:38:31.94 when you're reading that question. 00:38:31.97\00:38:33.31 I had to lighten the moment briefly. 00:38:33.34\00:38:34.68 No, don't take them behind the barn. 00:38:34.71\00:38:36.21 We have rights in the workplace. 00:38:36.24\00:38:37.71 And I'm assuming you're in America, 00:38:37.75\00:38:39.78 doesn't say where they're from? 00:38:39.81\00:38:41.15 No, it does not. 00:38:41.18\00:38:42.52 So I'm assuming that you are at a place 00:38:42.55\00:38:43.89 where you can have your, have your grievances expressed 00:38:43.92\00:38:46.52 to the administration of your company. 00:38:46.55\00:38:48.96 Because that's the thing I would recommend you do. 00:38:48.99\00:38:51.16 My wife was in a similar situation. 00:38:51.19\00:38:52.76 I'll tell you the story. 00:38:52.79\00:38:54.10 And I know right now, if she hears this question, 00:38:54.13\00:38:55.46 it comes to our mind. 00:38:55.50\00:38:56.83 She was in a situation in her work 00:38:56.87\00:38:58.20 when she was living in California, 00:38:58.23\00:38:59.57 when we lived in California. 00:38:59.60\00:39:01.00 And there was a lady that was narcissistic, 00:39:01.04\00:39:02.64 just like this giving her a hard time. 00:39:02.70\00:39:05.04 And she took her to task in front of the supervisor, 00:39:05.07\00:39:08.11 accusing her just with a voice 00:39:08.14\00:39:10.98 and the vehement nature that was just... 00:39:11.01\00:39:13.18 He called my wife took her breath away. 00:39:13.21\00:39:15.95 And she stood there and listened. 00:39:15.98\00:39:17.32 And the supervisor watched her reaction. 00:39:17.35\00:39:21.06 She could have easily said, 00:39:21.09\00:39:22.92 who do you think you're talking to? 00:39:22.99\00:39:24.33 I'm not a kid 00:39:24.36\00:39:25.69 that you can raise your voice at me like that. 00:39:25.73\00:39:27.46 That's what the human nature would do. 00:39:27.50\00:39:29.10 I mean, I'm from New York, 00:39:29.13\00:39:30.47 that's the first thing comes to my mind. 00:39:30.50\00:39:31.83 You know, we have a very vocal background. 00:39:31.87\00:39:34.07 But she listened carefully. 00:39:34.10\00:39:35.44 When the lady walked away, she said softly to supervisor, 00:39:35.47\00:39:38.27 "Everything she accused me of is not right. 00:39:38.31\00:39:40.04 That's not true." 00:39:40.08\00:39:42.28 You know, the supervisor said, 00:39:42.31\00:39:43.65 "Angela, I'm so proud of you. 00:39:43.68\00:39:45.98 You did not speak to her the way she spoke to you. 00:39:46.05\00:39:49.82 I'm going to give you a raise." 00:39:49.85\00:39:51.79 And she got a raise. 00:39:51.82\00:39:53.29 And that lady not long after that got fired. 00:39:53.32\00:39:56.16 You see, God will fight your battles for you. 00:39:56.19\00:39:58.89 Here's what I would say 00:39:58.93\00:40:00.26 follow up in the administrative steps, 00:40:00.30\00:40:02.70 supervisor, manager. 00:40:02.76\00:40:05.00 If you don't get any resolution, 00:40:05.03\00:40:06.63 go to the head administration. 00:40:06.67\00:40:08.24 If you get no resolution within the company 00:40:08.27\00:40:10.91 and that job is very valuable to you. 00:40:10.94\00:40:13.48 We have the EEOC 00:40:13.51\00:40:14.84 Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. 00:40:14.88\00:40:17.85 Now you might get fired if you go that far. 00:40:17.88\00:40:20.38 But they cannot fire you 00:40:20.42\00:40:21.75 based on something they've done to you. 00:40:21.78\00:40:23.35 And people have been awarded large sums of money 00:40:23.39\00:40:25.75 for that kind of workplace disturbance 00:40:25.79\00:40:27.92 and irritation and harassment. 00:40:27.96\00:40:30.09 But here's my counsel that I end with. 00:40:30.13\00:40:32.73 Do not allow their treatment 00:40:32.79\00:40:34.93 to change your Christian principles. 00:40:34.93\00:40:37.90 Amen. 00:40:37.93\00:40:39.30 Romans 12:18, 00:40:39.33\00:40:40.67 "If it is possible, 00:40:40.70\00:40:42.04 as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men, 00:40:42.07\00:40:46.64 and the Lord will fight your battles for you." 00:40:46.68\00:40:48.78 Amen. Thank you so much. 00:40:48.81\00:40:51.38 Well, this is a question that millions of people have, 00:40:51.41\00:40:54.68 Pastor Ryan. 00:40:54.72\00:40:56.05 "Where are we right now in the Book of Revelation?" 00:40:56.08\00:41:00.62 Which chapter we're in. 00:41:00.66\00:41:02.49 Well, first of all we have to, 00:41:02.56\00:41:03.96 the best way to start answering this question is to be reminded 00:41:03.99\00:41:07.23 that you can't read the Book of Revelation 00:41:07.23\00:41:09.26 in a chronological sense. 00:41:09.33\00:41:10.67 It's not reading in like in a chronological story mode. 00:41:10.70\00:41:14.07 There's a lot of repeat and enlarge and expanding 00:41:14.10\00:41:16.37 throughout all the Book of Revelation. 00:41:16.40\00:41:18.24 So we have to be very tactful 00:41:18.27\00:41:19.97 when we and studious 00:41:20.04\00:41:21.71 to know exactly where we are. 00:41:21.74\00:41:23.11 And personally, I believe 00:41:23.14\00:41:24.48 in all the studies that I have done. 00:41:24.51\00:41:25.98 I see us in Revelation Chapter 13. 00:41:26.01\00:41:29.95 I believe that 00:41:29.98\00:41:31.32 that beast that received its deadly wound, 00:41:31.35\00:41:33.32 it has been healing. 00:41:33.36\00:41:34.69 It's not completely healed yet, 00:41:34.72\00:41:36.79 but it has been healing 00:41:36.83\00:41:38.16 and we know that once it has been healed, 00:41:38.19\00:41:40.56 that there's going to be another beast, a second beast 00:41:40.60\00:41:43.33 mentioned in Revelation Chapter 11, 00:41:43.37\00:41:45.33 or excuse me, Chapter 13:11 there. 00:41:45.37\00:41:47.60 It says that this beast comes up out of the earth, 00:41:47.64\00:41:50.37 it has horns like a lamb, and it speaks like a dragon. 00:41:50.41\00:41:52.94 I believe the second beast is none other than 00:41:53.01\00:41:56.41 the United States of America. 00:41:56.48\00:41:58.05 And I believe that 00:41:58.08\00:41:59.45 as Bible prophecy clearly states that 00:41:59.48\00:42:00.88 once that deadly wound is healed, 00:42:00.92\00:42:02.42 it's not quite healed yet, but it's certainly healing. 00:42:02.48\00:42:04.99 And I believe we're fast approaching 00:42:05.02\00:42:06.72 that completely healed state 00:42:06.76\00:42:09.42 that the first beast is going to create an alliance 00:42:09.49\00:42:12.06 with the second beast. 00:42:12.09\00:42:13.46 By the way, I'm going to be very candid, 00:42:13.50\00:42:14.93 I believe that first beast is none other than 00:42:14.93\00:42:16.53 the Roman papal church state power. 00:42:16.60\00:42:18.70 And that second beast is none other than 00:42:18.73\00:42:20.34 the United States of America. 00:42:20.37\00:42:22.00 And we have seen in its early stages, 00:42:22.04\00:42:24.21 that the principles of which this nation has stood 00:42:24.24\00:42:27.64 is very much lamblike 00:42:27.68\00:42:29.21 in its religious liberties and freedoms 00:42:29.28\00:42:31.98 that we have been given. 00:42:32.01\00:42:33.35 But we're seeing those 00:42:33.38\00:42:34.72 religious liberties and freedoms 00:42:34.75\00:42:36.12 being eroded at each day so much 00:42:36.15\00:42:37.49 that we recently in the last couple of decades 00:42:37.52\00:42:39.19 have clearly seen this second beast, 00:42:39.22\00:42:41.29 this United States power speak as a dragon. 00:42:41.32\00:42:44.76 And once that deadly wound is healed 00:42:44.79\00:42:47.00 of the first beast, 00:42:47.03\00:42:48.33 there's going to be an amalgamation of the two, 00:42:48.36\00:42:51.03 an alliance in which we see very clearly 00:42:51.07\00:42:53.23 the verse 12 of Revelation 13, 00:42:53.27\00:42:55.14 and he's speaking of the second beast 00:42:55.17\00:42:56.71 exercises all the authority 00:42:56.74\00:42:58.57 of the first beast in his presence 00:42:58.61\00:43:00.04 and causes the earth and those who dwell on it 00:43:00.08\00:43:01.98 to worship the first beast whose deadly wound is healed. 00:43:02.01\00:43:05.18 We're talking about that harlot of Revelation 17. 00:43:05.21\00:43:07.78 She's made the world drunk with her wine. 00:43:07.82\00:43:09.92 We're living in that time frame. 00:43:09.95\00:43:11.75 We're living in that time period 00:43:11.79\00:43:13.12 in which Babylon has fallen. 00:43:13.19\00:43:14.56 And I think 00:43:14.59\00:43:15.96 once that deadly wound is healed, 00:43:15.99\00:43:17.33 that's where we are. 00:43:17.36\00:43:18.69 We're in that healing process. 00:43:18.73\00:43:20.06 But once it's healed, 00:43:20.10\00:43:21.40 which I believe to be very soon, 00:43:21.43\00:43:22.76 Pastor Lomacang, 00:43:22.80\00:43:24.13 we're going to see 00:43:24.17\00:43:25.50 the United States in this papal system 00:43:25.53\00:43:26.87 become very much more active and an alliance state, 00:43:26.90\00:43:29.10 launching us into the future of Revelation 12 and verse, 00:43:29.14\00:43:33.51 excuse me, Revelation 13:12 and onward. 00:43:33.54\00:43:36.88 Thank you very much. Thank you. 00:43:36.91\00:43:39.18 Sister Shelley Quinn, 00:43:39.21\00:43:40.72 regarding the bronze serpent in Numbers 21:4-9. 00:43:40.75\00:43:45.59 Okay. 00:43:45.62\00:43:46.96 "The SDA Bible Commentary says that 00:43:46.99\00:43:48.92 the people knew that 00:43:48.96\00:43:50.33 the serpent was a symbol of the Savior. 00:43:50.36\00:43:52.93 This whole story has me confused. 00:43:52.99\00:43:55.13 How can the serpent who depicts Satan in the Bible 00:43:55.16\00:43:57.97 also be a symbol of Christ? 00:43:58.00\00:44:00.50 How could looking upon a bronze snake 00:44:00.54\00:44:02.57 bring healing to those dying of a snake bite, 00:44:02.64\00:44:05.57 please explain." 00:44:05.61\00:44:06.98 This is from Linda. 00:44:07.01\00:44:08.34 Oh, Linda, Numbers 21:4-9. 00:44:08.38\00:44:10.68 God's people are wandering in the wilderness, 00:44:10.71\00:44:13.21 God is providing for them supernaturally. 00:44:13.25\00:44:16.58 And they murmur and complain. 00:44:16.62\00:44:18.92 This is the seventh time 00:44:18.95\00:44:20.29 they've murmured and complaint against God 00:44:20.32\00:44:22.46 and against Moses. 00:44:22.49\00:44:24.09 Guess what? God's patience runs out. 00:44:24.13\00:44:26.90 He sends fiery serpents among them, 00:44:26.93\00:44:28.93 serpents are biting them. 00:44:28.96\00:44:30.47 Some are dying. 00:44:30.50\00:44:31.83 And then he tells Moses, get that bronze pole out there, 00:44:31.87\00:44:35.34 put that serpent, 00:44:35.37\00:44:36.71 tell the people to look and be healed. 00:44:36.77\00:44:39.44 I believe that 00:44:39.47\00:44:41.78 and that's Number 21:8, where he says, 00:44:41.81\00:44:44.58 "Make a fiery serpent, set it on a pole, 00:44:44.61\00:44:47.05 and everyone who's bitten 00:44:47.08\00:44:49.02 when he looks at it, he'll be healed." 00:44:49.05\00:44:51.15 In Revelation 20, 00:44:51.19\00:44:52.52 we see that the serpent is the devil. 00:44:52.55\00:44:55.09 It's Satan. 00:44:55.12\00:44:56.49 So we know serpent is a symbolic term for sin. 00:44:56.52\00:45:00.56 It's a symbol for sin. 00:45:00.60\00:45:02.20 So I believe my belief is 00:45:02.23\00:45:04.50 that pole is representing the cross of Jesus Christ, 00:45:04.53\00:45:09.57 that serpent on the pole is representing this sin 00:45:09.60\00:45:13.17 that Christ nailed to the cross. 00:45:13.24\00:45:15.61 Symbolically Jesus said in John 3-14-15, 00:45:15.64\00:45:19.91 "As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, 00:45:19.98\00:45:23.05 even so the Son of man must be lifted up, 00:45:23.08\00:45:26.12 that whoever believes in Him should not perish 00:45:26.15\00:45:29.49 but have eternal life." 00:45:29.52\00:45:31.23 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, 00:45:31.26\00:45:33.26 "He made him 00:45:33.29\00:45:34.60 who knew no sin to be sin for us, 00:45:34.63\00:45:38.23 that we might become the righteousness of God 00:45:38.27\00:45:40.37 in Christ Jesus." 00:45:40.40\00:45:41.94 So this is what Peter said in 1 Peter 2:24, 00:45:41.97\00:45:45.24 that Christ bore our sins in His body on the tree, 00:45:45.27\00:45:52.11 that we having died the sins could live for righteousness. 00:45:52.15\00:45:55.68 Two more scriptures. 00:45:55.72\00:45:57.05 Colossians 2:15 says, 00:45:57.09\00:45:59.02 "That Christ disarmed principalities and power; 00:45:59.05\00:46:02.16 He made a spectacle of them, 00:46:02.19\00:46:04.39 overcoming them at the cross." 00:46:04.43\00:46:07.96 When the people in the wilderness 00:46:07.96\00:46:10.50 looked to the pole, 00:46:10.53\00:46:12.87 because God told them to look to the pole. 00:46:12.90\00:46:15.44 God told them, look to the pole, 00:46:15.47\00:46:16.94 look at this serpent on the pole, 00:46:16.97\00:46:18.74 you will be saved, you will be healed. 00:46:18.77\00:46:20.94 You won't get bitten by the snakes. 00:46:20.98\00:46:23.48 God likewise tells Christians look to the cross. 00:46:23.51\00:46:27.58 When you are in the shadow of the cross, 00:46:27.62\00:46:29.55 when you look in faith at Christ Jesus knowing 00:46:29.62\00:46:32.82 He took your penalty, 00:46:32.89\00:46:34.36 all of your sin was put on Him 00:46:34.39\00:46:38.06 and nailed to the cross. 00:46:38.09\00:46:39.43 He took your penalty. 00:46:39.46\00:46:40.83 Likewise, we could look to the cross and be saved. 00:46:40.86\00:46:43.06 That is right. Amen. Thank you very much. 00:46:43.10\00:46:44.73 Pastor Lomacang, 00:46:44.77\00:46:47.17 "what is one expected to do in lieu of buying 00:46:47.20\00:46:50.51 without the mark 00:46:50.54\00:46:52.31 and then there's a question cash?" 00:46:52.34\00:46:54.08 Okay. 00:46:54.11\00:46:55.44 I want to segue from what Shelley said 00:46:55.48\00:46:56.95 'cause I love that explanation so well. 00:46:56.98\00:46:58.95 I'll just add to that looking into Jesus, 00:46:58.98\00:47:00.82 the author and finisher of our faith. 00:47:00.85\00:47:02.18 Amen. 00:47:02.22\00:47:03.55 You know, there are times that are coming ahead of us 00:47:03.59\00:47:04.99 that we have no idea 00:47:05.02\00:47:06.39 what the gravity of those times are, 00:47:06.42\00:47:08.22 the tenacity of the times, the terror of the times, 00:47:08.26\00:47:12.26 the men's hearts failing them for fear 00:47:12.29\00:47:14.23 in anticipation of the times. 00:47:14.30\00:47:16.46 We cannot adequately prepare 00:47:16.50\00:47:18.93 outside of a relationship with Christ. 00:47:18.97\00:47:21.17 Amen. 00:47:21.20\00:47:22.54 You can't store up enough food, 00:47:22.57\00:47:24.31 you can't put enough, you can't buy enough gold. 00:47:24.34\00:47:26.78 Lot of people say buy gold is not gonna lose value. 00:47:26.81\00:47:29.58 You read the Bible, 00:47:29.64\00:47:31.05 the gold and silver 00:47:31.08\00:47:32.41 is going to be cankered up as a witness, 00:47:32.45\00:47:34.02 it's going to be no use one day, 00:47:34.05\00:47:35.98 is going to be as though 00:47:36.02\00:47:37.35 every avenue of monetary value 00:47:37.39\00:47:39.69 is going to be erased. 00:47:39.75\00:47:41.69 In light of what Ryan was talking about 00:47:41.72\00:47:43.22 when that coalition, 00:47:43.26\00:47:44.59 when the papacy 00:47:44.63\00:47:45.96 and the United States coalesces together 00:47:45.99\00:47:47.60 and the kings of the earth and the merchants of the earth 00:47:47.66\00:47:50.13 decides to establish a standard of worship 00:47:50.17\00:47:52.53 that you choose not to adhere to. 00:47:52.57\00:47:54.27 There's nothing you can do outside of having that mark 00:47:54.30\00:47:57.71 to adhere and gain access to products, 00:47:57.74\00:48:00.51 except the following. 00:48:00.54\00:48:02.34 Isaiah 33:16, 00:48:02.38\00:48:05.35 "He will dwell on high, 00:48:05.38\00:48:07.02 his place of defense 00:48:07.05\00:48:08.38 will be their fortress of rocks, 00:48:08.42\00:48:10.69 bread will be given you and your water will be sure, 00:48:10.72\00:48:15.09 God will provide." 00:48:15.12\00:48:16.46 Psalm 37:25, 00:48:16.52\00:48:18.09 "I have been young and now I am old, 00:48:18.13\00:48:20.00 yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken 00:48:20.03\00:48:22.63 nor their descendants begging for bread." 00:48:22.66\00:48:25.03 Philippians 4:19, come on, Shelley. 00:48:25.07\00:48:26.84 "And my God shall supply all of our need, 00:48:26.90\00:48:30.67 according to His riches and glory." 00:48:30.71\00:48:32.37 And lastly, Psalm 55:22, 00:48:32.41\00:48:34.98 a passage perfectly said 00:48:35.01\00:48:36.51 in the midst of the turmoils of the last days, 00:48:36.54\00:48:38.88 cast your burden on the Lord, 00:48:38.91\00:48:41.12 and He shall sustain you, 00:48:41.15\00:48:43.45 He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. 00:48:43.49\00:48:47.16 It's not about cash. 00:48:47.22\00:48:48.56 It's about Jesus. 00:48:48.59\00:48:49.92 Amen. Amen. Thank you very much. 00:48:49.99\00:48:51.99 Well, Pastor Ryan, we have one for you. 00:48:52.03\00:48:54.50 We know that Jesus Christ is God. 00:48:54.56\00:48:56.70 And He came into this world in the form of a man 00:48:56.73\00:48:59.67 yet still is God, only setting aside His glory. 00:48:59.70\00:49:02.80 We know that He gave up His life 00:49:02.84\00:49:04.94 to pay for the wages of sin, which is death. 00:49:04.97\00:49:07.78 So it means that Jesus died at the cross. 00:49:07.81\00:49:09.91 We know that 00:49:09.94\00:49:11.28 no one can take His life from Him, 00:49:11.31\00:49:13.01 and that He willingly gave it to take it back again. 00:49:13.08\00:49:16.95 The question that puzzles some believers is that 00:49:16.99\00:49:19.39 when then God can also die, 00:49:19.42\00:49:22.09 thus leading them to question God's immortality? 00:49:22.12\00:49:25.13 How do we address this concern?" 00:49:25.16\00:49:27.23 This one comes from Ferdinand in the Philippines. 00:49:27.30\00:49:29.93 Amen. That's a loaded question. 00:49:30.00\00:49:33.17 And it really requires a loaded response, 00:49:33.20\00:49:35.60 which I don't have enough time to give. 00:49:35.64\00:49:37.34 But I just want to respond 00:49:37.37\00:49:39.41 with just a question at the front. 00:49:39.44\00:49:41.81 How do we really explain 00:49:41.84\00:49:43.18 the immortal nature of God, right? 00:49:43.21\00:49:44.85 That is really, really at the end of the day, 00:49:44.88\00:49:46.65 beyond our understanding, beyond our comprehension. 00:49:46.68\00:49:49.92 We have to be careful 00:49:49.95\00:49:51.29 when we start talking about things 00:49:51.32\00:49:52.65 that we really don't fully understand. 00:49:52.69\00:49:54.39 But that being said, 00:49:54.42\00:49:55.76 we can go off 00:49:55.79\00:49:57.16 what the scripture reveals to us. 00:49:57.19\00:49:58.59 And we do know that the Bible does clearly tell us that 00:49:58.63\00:50:01.40 Christ being the immortal God that He was, 00:50:01.43\00:50:04.90 came a time and to save man He chose. 00:50:04.93\00:50:08.10 And really the answer to it is 00:50:08.14\00:50:09.47 God can die 00:50:09.50\00:50:10.84 only if God allows Himself to die, right? 00:50:10.87\00:50:12.57 And that's essentially what Christ did. 00:50:12.61\00:50:14.28 He allowed Himself to be humbled in the... 00:50:14.31\00:50:16.95 As Philippians 2:6-8 says, 00:50:16.98\00:50:20.72 "He being in the form of God, 00:50:20.75\00:50:22.08 He did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 00:50:22.12\00:50:24.62 when made Himself of no reputation 00:50:24.65\00:50:26.19 taking on the form of a bondservant 00:50:26.22\00:50:28.26 and coming in the likeness of men. 00:50:28.29\00:50:30.86 And being found in the appearance of men, 00:50:30.89\00:50:32.39 He humbled Himself 00:50:32.43\00:50:33.96 and became obedient to the point of death, 00:50:34.00\00:50:36.43 even to the death at the cross." 00:50:36.46\00:50:37.80 And so we know it was by choice. 00:50:37.83\00:50:39.70 It's not that, you know, like God can die. 00:50:39.73\00:50:42.14 God can only die if God submits Himself 00:50:42.17\00:50:44.51 to be put in that situation. 00:50:44.54\00:50:45.91 And what does that say about 00:50:45.94\00:50:47.28 the loving character of our God? 00:50:47.31\00:50:48.98 What does that say about the loving character of Christ? 00:50:49.01\00:50:51.15 You know, I'm also thinking of Hebrews 2:16. 00:50:51.18\00:50:53.58 It says, "He took not upon Him the nature of angels." 00:50:53.62\00:50:56.38 He wouldn't even take the lower step of the angels. 00:50:56.45\00:50:58.92 He brought himself even lower to say, 00:50:58.95\00:51:00.49 I want to become the seed of Abraham. 00:51:00.52\00:51:03.39 And so He came here, He made the conscious choice 00:51:03.46\00:51:06.73 to put Himself under the Father's care, 00:51:06.80\00:51:09.33 under the Father's authority. 00:51:09.36\00:51:11.00 And He submitted, He gave up His omniscience, 00:51:11.03\00:51:12.93 He gave up His omnipresence, 00:51:12.97\00:51:14.77 He gave up His all powerness too 00:51:14.80\00:51:18.04 so that He could humble Himself to come save man. 00:51:18.07\00:51:20.78 In that case, God can do it because God can allow it. 00:51:20.81\00:51:24.01 And in this case, 00:51:24.05\00:51:25.38 if we go any further beyond that, 00:51:25.41\00:51:26.75 to try to comprehend it, 00:51:26.78\00:51:28.12 it's just difficult to fully understand, 00:51:28.15\00:51:29.85 absolutely. 00:51:29.88\00:51:31.22 Thank you very much. 00:51:31.25\00:51:32.59 We now have to take a break, 00:51:32.62\00:51:34.26 and we'll be back in a moment 00:51:34.29\00:51:35.86 to receive final comments from our panel. 00:51:35.89\00:51:38.33 We'll be back. 00:51:38.36\00:51:40.06 If you're enjoying our 3ABN Bible Q and A, 00:51:40.10\00:51:42.86 then tell your friends. 00:51:42.90\00:51:44.43 Each Monday we'll bring you a fresh program, 00:51:44.47\00:51:46.97 answering the Bible questions you send us 00:51:47.00\00:51:49.24 and we'll use God's Holy Word to shed light on those texts 00:51:49.27\00:51:52.24 that seem difficult to understand. 00:51:52.27\00:51:54.64 If you would like your questions answered 00:51:54.68\00:51:56.31 on an upcoming program, 00:51:56.38\00:51:57.81 just email them to us. 00:51:57.85\00:51:59.38 Our email address is BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:51:59.41\00:52:04.32 That's BibleQA@3abn.org. 00:52:04.35\00:52:08.96 You can also text us your questions by sending them 00:52:08.99\00:52:11.59 to (618) 228-3975. 00:52:11.63\00:52:15.46 That number again is (618) 228-3975. 00:52:15.50\00:52:20.47 Be sure to include your name and where you live, 00:52:20.50\00:52:23.04 and then watch 3ABN Bible Q and A 00:52:23.07\00:52:38.09
