Amen. 00:04:00.57\00:04:01.97 Amen. Praise the Lord. 00:04:02.00\00:04:04.57 Our first question comes to Jill. 00:04:04.61\00:04:07.14 Jill, this is coming from Julie in South Dakota, I believe. 00:04:07.18\00:04:10.51 And her question is, 00:04:10.55\00:04:12.91 "Would you say that salvation is conditional? 00:04:12.95\00:04:16.55 If so, what are some of the conditions?" 00:04:16.58\00:04:19.79 I love that question. 00:04:19.82\00:04:21.16 Thank you, Julie, for writing in 00:04:21.22\00:04:22.56 and giving that question. 00:04:22.59\00:04:23.93 I would say yes, salvation is conditional, 00:04:23.96\00:04:26.53 and let's look at those conditions. 00:04:26.56\00:04:27.86 Condition number one is, 00:04:27.93\00:04:29.26 we need to ask for forgiveness of our sins. 00:04:29.30\00:04:33.57 You see at the cross provision for forgiveness, 00:04:33.60\00:04:36.57 provision for salvation was made for everyone, 00:04:36.60\00:04:39.64 but that doesn't mean everyone was forgiven at the cross. 00:04:39.67\00:04:43.41 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, 00:04:43.45\00:04:46.38 He's faithful and just to forgive us our sins 00:04:46.41\00:04:48.98 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 00:04:49.02\00:04:52.29 So we have to ask, 00:04:52.32\00:04:53.69 we have to ask for forgiveness for sin. 00:04:53.72\00:04:56.06 It's freely offered, but you and I have to ask. 00:04:56.09\00:04:59.23 Condition number two, 00:04:59.26\00:05:00.90 we need to accept the gift of salvation by faith. 00:05:00.93\00:05:05.93 Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace, 00:05:05.97\00:05:08.34 you have been saved through faith 00:05:08.37\00:05:10.77 and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God." 00:05:10.84\00:05:13.58 Did you catch that? 00:05:13.61\00:05:14.94 We're all not automatically saved. 00:05:14.98\00:05:17.98 We need to accept the gift of God, 00:05:18.01\00:05:20.88 that gift of salvation by faith. 00:05:20.95\00:05:24.52 Condition number three, 00:05:24.55\00:05:26.09 we need to be filled with the spirit. 00:05:26.12\00:05:28.16 We need to allow the Holy Spirit 00:05:28.19\00:05:30.99 to dwell in us and take up residence in us. 00:05:31.06\00:05:36.53 Romans 8: 1, "There is therefore now 00:05:36.56\00:05:39.10 no condemnation 00:05:39.13\00:05:40.47 to those who are in Christ Jesus, 00:05:40.54\00:05:42.54 who do not walk according to the flesh, 00:05:42.57\00:05:44.31 but according to the spirit." 00:05:44.34\00:05:45.81 Jump down to verse 13. 00:05:45.84\00:05:48.04 "If you live according to the flesh, you will die. 00:05:48.08\00:05:51.48 But if by the spirit 00:05:51.51\00:05:52.85 you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." 00:05:52.88\00:05:56.08 You see, we're called to walk in the spirit. 00:05:56.12\00:05:58.42 So we don't fulfill those lusts of the flesh. 00:05:58.45\00:06:02.42 The lust of the flesh is that life of sin. 00:06:02.46\00:06:04.56 That is that old man of sin 00:06:04.59\00:06:06.06 that you and I easily walk in and dwell in. 00:06:06.09\00:06:09.23 Unless we ask for the indwelling Holy Spirit 00:06:09.26\00:06:14.47 to keep us by the power of Him. 00:06:14.54\00:06:17.44 So we ask for forgiveness, 00:06:17.51\00:06:19.67 we accept the gift of salvation by faith, 00:06:19.71\00:06:22.21 and then we walk in the spirit. 00:06:22.24\00:06:24.68 Amen. Wonderful answer. 00:06:24.71\00:06:26.11 Thank you. 00:06:26.15\00:06:28.15 This next question comes to Pastor John Dinzey. 00:06:28.18\00:06:31.39 And Pastor Dinzey, 00:06:31.42\00:06:32.75 this question is coming from Trinidad and Tobago. 00:06:32.79\00:06:35.62 And this person says, 00:06:35.66\00:06:37.53 "Is it true that Christ will come 00:06:37.56\00:06:39.66 at midnight, the darkest period. 00:06:39.69\00:06:43.03 And then they say, I actually don't get it 00:06:43.06\00:06:44.87 because I thought we, the humans don't really know 00:06:44.90\00:06:47.84 when He will come. 00:06:47.90\00:06:49.24 And then this person says, and He will come like a thief. 00:06:49.27\00:06:52.24 So is it true that He comes back at midnight?" 00:06:52.27\00:06:55.98 That is a very good question. 00:06:56.01\00:06:57.35 And that does not necessarily mean 00:06:57.41\00:06:59.15 that exactly at the midnight hour, 00:06:59.18\00:07:01.75 Jesus Christ will come and you can say at 12:01, 00:07:01.78\00:07:04.49 well, He's not coming today. 00:07:04.52\00:07:06.12 Let's go to sleep and everything will be fine. 00:07:06.15\00:07:08.39 This is just making reference to a time in history 00:07:08.42\00:07:11.73 when people are going about their everyday thing 00:07:11.76\00:07:15.16 and they're not necessarily awake or watching, 00:07:15.20\00:07:17.57 they are going about their everyday business. 00:07:17.63\00:07:19.80 Now it's true. 00:07:19.83\00:07:21.40 We do not know the day nor the hour. 00:07:21.44\00:07:23.71 This is made... 00:07:23.74\00:07:25.51 A statement is made several times in the Bible, 00:07:25.54\00:07:27.68 Matthew 24:32-33 says, 00:07:27.74\00:07:29.81 "Now learn this parable from the fig tree 00:07:29.84\00:07:32.68 when its branch has already become tender 00:07:32.71\00:07:35.48 and puts forth leaves. 00:07:35.52\00:07:37.25 You know, that summer is near. 00:07:37.29\00:07:39.79 So you also, when you see all these things 00:07:39.82\00:07:42.99 know that it is near at the doors." 00:07:43.02\00:07:44.83 Okay. 00:07:44.86\00:07:46.19 The reason I read, I read this text is 00:07:46.23\00:07:47.76 because we can know that 00:07:47.76\00:07:50.30 the second coming of Christ is near, 00:07:50.33\00:07:52.80 but we won't know the day nor the hour. 00:07:52.83\00:07:55.10 I now turn to Mark Chapter 13 00:07:55.14\00:07:59.41 because it's very interesting declaration 00:07:59.44\00:08:02.98 is made by Christ beginning in verse 32. 00:08:03.01\00:08:05.91 Mark 13 beginning in verse 32, "Now of the day an hour, 00:08:05.95\00:08:10.12 no one knows not even the angels in heaven 00:08:10.15\00:08:12.39 nor the Son, but only the Father. 00:08:12.42\00:08:14.66 Take heed, watch and pray, 00:08:14.72\00:08:17.13 for you do not know when the time is." 00:08:17.16\00:08:19.83 So you see here, 00:08:19.86\00:08:21.16 no one knows the day nor the hour. 00:08:21.23\00:08:22.56 No one knows when the time is, 00:08:22.60\00:08:23.93 but our part is to be watching 00:08:23.97\00:08:25.77 and praying, being ready at all times. 00:08:25.80\00:08:27.70 Amen. 00:08:27.77\00:08:29.10 Notice then, verse 34 and 35, 00:08:29.14\00:08:30.97 "It is like a man going to a far country, 00:08:31.04\00:08:32.64 who left his house 00:08:32.67\00:08:34.01 and gave authority to his servants, 00:08:34.04\00:08:35.38 and to each his work, 00:08:35.41\00:08:37.15 and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. 00:08:37.18\00:08:39.41 Watch therefore, for you do not know 00:08:39.45\00:08:41.48 when the master of the house is coming, notice, 00:08:41.52\00:08:43.95 in the evening, at midnight, 00:08:44.02\00:08:46.49 at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning." 00:08:46.52\00:08:49.66 The four different separations as, 00:08:49.69\00:08:51.26 as it was the custom in those days, 00:08:51.29\00:08:53.93 the four different timeframes of a day are mentioned. 00:08:53.96\00:08:57.17 So it could be any time of the day... 00:08:57.20\00:08:58.53 That's right. 00:08:58.57\00:08:59.90 But we don't know the day nor the hour. 00:08:59.93\00:09:01.34 Our part is to be ready, watch and pray. 00:09:01.40\00:09:03.51 Amen. Amen. 00:09:03.54\00:09:04.87 Wonderful. 00:09:04.94\00:09:06.27 All right, Pastor Lomacang, this is coming to you. 00:09:06.31\00:09:08.04 And it's a rather lengthy question, 00:09:08.11\00:09:10.11 but it's a good question. 00:09:10.15\00:09:11.48 Okay. Here it is. 00:09:11.51\00:09:12.85 This person says, actually, 00:09:12.88\00:09:14.25 this is from Anthony from Trinidad and Tobago. 00:09:14.28\00:09:16.38 It says, "In the Gospel of Matthew 28:20, 00:09:16.42\00:09:20.79 Jesus said to the disciples, 00:09:20.82\00:09:22.19 go ye therefore and teach all nations, 00:09:22.22\00:09:24.19 baptizing them in the name of the Father 00:09:24.26\00:09:26.03 and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. 00:09:26.06\00:09:28.10 And in the Book of Acts 2:38, 00:09:28.13\00:09:30.60 Peter speaking by the Holy Ghost said 00:09:30.67\00:09:33.17 in answer to a question, then Peter said unto them, 00:09:33.20\00:09:36.40 repent and be baptized every one of you 00:09:36.44\00:09:38.34 in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. 00:09:38.37\00:09:41.51 And you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." 00:09:41.58\00:09:43.65 So here's the question. 00:09:43.68\00:09:45.45 The question is, "What is the correct recitation 00:09:45.48\00:09:48.48 or recitation that should be used 00:09:48.52\00:09:51.59 when Christians are being baptized? 00:09:51.62\00:09:54.16 Okay, well, I'm so glad 00:09:54.19\00:09:55.79 you asked this question, Anthony. 00:09:55.82\00:09:57.16 There is no correct nor incorrect 00:09:57.19\00:10:00.60 recitation of what we should say 00:10:00.63\00:10:02.86 before a person is getting baptized. 00:10:02.90\00:10:05.37 Let me tell you why 00:10:05.40\00:10:06.74 there is no one is not opposed to the other. 00:10:06.77\00:10:09.64 There are many people that would prefer 00:10:09.67\00:10:11.84 Peter's words above Christ. 00:10:11.87\00:10:14.14 It's a very dangerous thing. 00:10:14.18\00:10:15.51 When you say, well, Peter's words 00:10:15.54\00:10:16.88 are a lot more reliable than Christ. 00:10:16.91\00:10:19.11 You think about that for a moment, 00:10:19.15\00:10:20.72 it's not more reliable 00:10:20.78\00:10:22.12 because the word name is what the issue is. 00:10:22.15\00:10:25.29 The word name there in the Greek, 00:10:25.32\00:10:26.69 in the name of the, name of the, 00:10:26.72\00:10:28.06 name of is the authority of. 00:10:28.12\00:10:29.59 That's good. 00:10:29.62\00:10:30.99 Let me ask you a question, is the authority of the Father 00:10:31.03\00:10:33.83 compared to the authority of the Son 00:10:33.86\00:10:35.46 and the authority of the Holy Spirit? 00:10:35.50\00:10:37.20 There is an equal connection across the board, 00:10:37.23\00:10:39.80 but why did Peter say in the name of Jesus? 00:10:39.83\00:10:42.10 And here is something that context is vitally important. 00:10:42.14\00:10:44.74 I'll just begin with John 14:1-3. 00:10:44.77\00:10:47.61 You believe in God, believe also in me. 00:10:47.64\00:10:50.58 Why did Jesus say that? 00:10:50.61\00:10:52.61 Because Jesus was the one being rejected. 00:10:52.65\00:10:55.88 It was difficult, you know, the Pharisees, the Jews, 00:10:55.92\00:10:58.15 the Scribes, Assyrians. 00:10:58.19\00:10:59.72 They rejected Him as the Messiah. 00:10:59.75\00:11:02.29 Can you be saved if you reject the only one 00:11:02.32\00:11:05.23 through whom salvation is made? 00:11:05.26\00:11:07.03 That's why we find in the Book of Acts 00:11:07.03\00:11:08.83 these very clear statements. 00:11:08.86\00:11:10.20 Acts 4:12, "Nor is there salvation 00:11:10.23\00:11:13.23 in any other, 00:11:13.27\00:11:14.94 for there is no other name under heaven given among men 00:11:14.97\00:11:18.67 by which we must be saved." 00:11:18.71\00:11:21.41 So when you think about that all through the New Testament, 00:11:21.44\00:11:24.38 the Book of Acts specifically is showing time after time, 00:11:24.41\00:11:27.95 how the Jewish leaders, Peter was an example. 00:11:27.98\00:11:30.59 He said, didn't we command you not to preach in His name? 00:11:30.62\00:11:34.89 It was, His name was the issue. 00:11:34.92\00:11:36.79 It was the man Christ Jesus, 00:11:36.83\00:11:38.66 who was the one they had a hard time with. 00:11:38.69\00:11:40.63 Not baptism, John was baptizing, 00:11:40.66\00:11:43.33 but when Jesus's name, 00:11:43.37\00:11:45.03 the rejection of the Messiah was the focus of the enemy. 00:11:45.07\00:11:48.80 His name is above all other names. 00:11:48.84\00:11:51.31 And one more, we find Acts 5:28. 00:11:51.34\00:11:53.64 That's where they strictly commanded them. 00:11:53.68\00:11:55.51 But here's the point I wanna make. 00:11:55.54\00:11:57.55 When we confess that Jesus is the Son of God, 00:11:57.58\00:12:01.85 God abides in Him and He in God, 00:12:01.88\00:12:04.82 they don't separate. 00:12:04.85\00:12:06.19 So here's the point. 00:12:06.22\00:12:07.56 When you baptize in the name of the Father, 00:12:07.59\00:12:08.92 the Son and the Holy Spirit, 00:12:08.96\00:12:10.29 the authority for our salvation is the same, 00:12:10.33\00:12:14.50 but no one will be baptized 00:12:14.56\00:12:17.17 if they leave out the person of Christ. 00:12:17.20\00:12:20.37 No one can be saved 00:12:20.40\00:12:21.84 if they leave out the person of Christ. 00:12:21.87\00:12:25.11 Wonderful. I like it. 00:12:25.14\00:12:26.71 Amen. 00:12:26.74\00:12:28.08 All right, Jill, this is coming back to you. 00:12:28.11\00:12:30.25 This person says, 00:12:30.28\00:12:31.65 this is from Bridget, by the way. 00:12:31.68\00:12:33.42 And she says, "Besides the Book of Leviticus 00:12:33.45\00:12:36.38 in the Old Testament 00:12:36.42\00:12:37.79 where the law of the birds and animals is outlined, 00:12:37.82\00:12:41.36 where else in the New Testament is referenced made 00:12:41.39\00:12:44.03 as to what we should or should not eat. 00:12:44.06\00:12:47.86 Is it a sin to partake of such foods? 00:12:47.93\00:12:51.53 And is it a desecration of God's temple, our body?" 00:12:51.57\00:12:56.17 Thank you so much, Bridget, for that question. 00:12:56.20\00:12:57.91 I think the underpinning 00:12:57.97\00:12:59.37 for the whole understanding of the clean 00:12:59.41\00:13:01.61 and the unclean animals is to understand that 00:13:01.64\00:13:04.35 it is not a Jewish principle. 00:13:04.38\00:13:05.95 It's a biblical principle. 00:13:05.98\00:13:07.72 If you understand that you want to, 00:13:07.75\00:13:10.12 you can see it all throughout the Word of God. 00:13:10.15\00:13:12.19 Now, of course, 00:13:12.22\00:13:13.56 it was clearly delineated to the Israelites. 00:13:13.59\00:13:15.49 We see this in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14, 00:13:15.52\00:13:19.23 the law of the clean and unclean animals. 00:13:19.26\00:13:21.20 But it happened way before then. 00:13:21.26\00:13:23.16 This is when Noah went into the ark 00:13:23.20\00:13:25.10 all the way back to Genesis 7:1-2. 00:13:25.13\00:13:29.17 "The Lord said to Noah, 'Come into the Ark.'" 00:13:29.20\00:13:31.61 And if you jump down to verse 2. 00:13:31.67\00:13:33.74 It says, "You should take with you seven 00:13:33.78\00:13:35.38 each of every clean animal." 00:13:35.41\00:13:36.78 Did you catch that? 00:13:36.81\00:13:38.15 Every clean animal, male and female, 00:13:38.21\00:13:40.45 two each of animals that are unclean, 00:13:40.48\00:13:42.88 a male and a female. 00:13:42.92\00:13:44.25 This tells us that 00:13:44.29\00:13:45.62 this principle of clean and unclean 00:13:45.65\00:13:47.76 existed long before the children of Israel. 00:13:47.82\00:13:50.43 That's right. 00:13:50.46\00:13:51.79 This is prior to the nation of Israel, 00:13:51.83\00:13:53.16 prior to any Levitical law. 00:13:53.19\00:13:55.03 We also know Jesus tells us the Sermon on the Mount, 00:13:55.06\00:13:57.53 Matthew Chapter 5, "Do not think 00:13:57.60\00:13:59.47 I came to destroy the law and the prophets. 00:13:59.50\00:14:01.54 I did not come to destroy, but to fulfill." 00:14:01.57\00:14:04.37 Now, let's look at 00:14:04.41\00:14:05.74 just a couple of New Testament references. 00:14:05.77\00:14:07.84 Sometimes people get this confused and think, 00:14:07.88\00:14:10.38 "Oh, oh, this means that 00:14:10.41\00:14:11.88 now we can eat anything, 00:14:11.91\00:14:13.25 when really if you look at the scripture in context, 00:14:13.28\00:14:15.28 it doesn't mean that. 00:14:15.32\00:14:16.75 First reference is Acts Chapter 10. 00:14:16.79\00:14:19.19 And this is Peter and the vision, 00:14:19.22\00:14:20.76 the sheet of all the animals that came down 00:14:20.79\00:14:22.86 and the voice spoke from heaven saying 00:14:22.89\00:14:24.79 "Rise, Peter, kill and eat." 00:14:24.83\00:14:27.00 And he said, "Not so Lord, 00:14:27.03\00:14:28.33 I have not eaten anything common or unclean." 00:14:28.36\00:14:32.03 What is very interesting in that 00:14:32.07\00:14:33.57 is this is long after the crucifixion. 00:14:33.60\00:14:35.84 This is the early Christian Church. 00:14:35.87\00:14:37.54 You would think that those old customs 00:14:37.57\00:14:39.21 would be done away with, 00:14:39.24\00:14:40.58 and yet he's not eating anything unclean. 00:14:40.61\00:14:43.35 And that scripture, 00:14:43.38\00:14:44.78 Acts Chapter 10 has nothing to do with animals 00:14:44.81\00:14:47.45 and everything to do with people. 00:14:47.48\00:14:50.35 And that the gospel was to go to the Gentiles. 00:14:50.39\00:14:53.49 In Romans Chapter 14, 00:14:53.52\00:14:55.09 we see Paul addressing issues in the church 00:14:55.12\00:14:57.29 and it was not clean and unclean animals. 00:14:57.33\00:14:59.09 It was ceremonial impurity, and meat offered to idols. 00:14:59.13\00:15:03.53 The same thing in 1 Corinthians Chapter 8, 00:15:03.57\00:15:06.53 the issue again is not clean and unclean animals. 00:15:06.57\00:15:09.57 It is food offered to idols. 00:15:09.60\00:15:11.67 In the New Testament scriptures, 00:15:11.74\00:15:13.07 we are clearly taught that 00:15:13.11\00:15:15.01 whether we eat or drink whatever we do, 00:15:15.04\00:15:17.08 we are to do all to the glory of God. 00:15:17.11\00:15:19.45 Our body is God's temple. Amen. 00:15:19.48\00:15:22.78 Nice. Thank you for that. Appreciate it. 00:15:22.82\00:15:24.22 Pastor Lomacang, we're coming right back to you 00:15:24.25\00:15:26.35 with this next question. 00:15:26.39\00:15:27.72 It says... 00:15:27.79\00:15:29.12 This is coming from someone who lives in Canada. 00:15:29.16\00:15:30.49 Okay. 00:15:30.53\00:15:31.86 They said, "Is the 144,000 a literal number? 00:15:31.89\00:15:35.10 Some pastors say it is, some say it's not. 00:15:35.13\00:15:38.07 Please help." Okay. 00:15:38.10\00:15:39.53 Wonderful question. 00:15:39.57\00:15:40.94 And this has been a controversy 00:15:40.97\00:15:42.30 as long as I remember being a pastor. 00:15:42.34\00:15:43.94 Even in our own denomination, 00:15:43.97\00:15:45.31 there are some say, well, I think it's literal, 00:15:45.34\00:15:46.74 some of them say, I think it's symbolic. 00:15:46.78\00:15:48.58 Well, here, let me throw this third component, 00:15:48.61\00:15:51.45 the 144,000 is a distinct symbolic number. 00:15:51.48\00:15:56.38 Yeah. 00:15:56.42\00:15:57.79 Distinct, but symbolic, 00:15:57.82\00:15:59.42 because you have in Revelation Chapter 7, 00:15:59.45\00:16:02.22 you have the twelve tribes, 12,000 from each tribe. 00:16:02.26\00:16:06.16 And then you have later on 00:16:06.19\00:16:07.93 John's view is turned to a number 00:16:07.96\00:16:10.83 which no man could number. 00:16:10.87\00:16:12.43 So let's break it down. 00:16:12.47\00:16:13.97 You also find that nowhere in scripture 00:16:14.00\00:16:16.07 does the Bible link say that the twelve tribes of Israel 00:16:16.10\00:16:20.64 are exactly like all the other nations. 00:16:20.68\00:16:23.41 Now here's how they are alike. 00:16:23.45\00:16:25.28 When it comes to physiology, when it comes to, 00:16:25.31\00:16:28.35 the makeup of a human being, we're all identical. 00:16:28.42\00:16:31.29 But Deuteronomy 7:6-8, 00:16:31.32\00:16:33.99 let's talk about this very quickly. 00:16:34.02\00:16:35.66 I'll just go ahead and read it for you. 00:16:35.69\00:16:37.03 Deuteronomy 7:6, 00:16:37.06\00:16:39.13 "For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, 00:16:39.16\00:16:42.50 the Lord your God has chosen you 00:16:42.53\00:16:44.07 to be a people for Himself, 00:16:44.10\00:16:45.63 a special treasure above all the peoples 00:16:45.67\00:16:48.40 on the face of the earth." 00:16:48.44\00:16:50.51 And so the Lord, when they, when He chose Israel, 00:16:50.54\00:16:53.61 He chose them for a specific focal point. 00:16:53.64\00:16:55.38 Yes. 00:16:55.41\00:16:56.75 He chose them for a specific function. 00:16:56.78\00:16:58.51 Now you may have had a package delivered 00:16:58.55\00:17:00.18 to your house by FedEx or UPS. 00:17:00.22\00:17:02.32 Does the FedEx guy die differently than you? 00:17:02.35\00:17:04.19 No. 00:17:04.22\00:17:05.55 Is he different than you in makeup? 00:17:05.59\00:17:06.92 No. Is the FedEx guy? No. 00:17:06.96\00:17:08.29 The UPS guy? No. 00:17:08.36\00:17:09.69 The post office person? No. 00:17:09.72\00:17:11.23 They have a special function. 00:17:11.26\00:17:12.59 And that function is pointed out 00:17:12.63\00:17:14.00 in Acts Chapter 13, 00:17:14.00\00:17:15.83 Paul and Barnabas, verse 46, 00:17:15.86\00:17:17.97 "It was necessary that the Word of God 00:17:18.03\00:17:19.73 should be spoken to you first. 00:17:19.77\00:17:21.50 But since you rejected and judge yourselves unworthy 00:17:21.54\00:17:23.87 of everlasting life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles." 00:17:23.91\00:17:27.01 So what's this 144,000 all about? 00:17:27.04\00:17:29.08 Let me narrow it down to my understanding. 00:17:29.11\00:17:31.91 The 144,000 as Revelation 7 describes and Revelation 14 00:17:31.95\00:17:35.52 brings them back into the picture, 00:17:35.55\00:17:37.29 represent those that have a message 00:17:37.32\00:17:39.75 to proclaim to the multitude, 00:17:39.79\00:17:42.76 the number that no man can number. 00:17:42.79\00:17:44.69 That's why, when John has asked, 00:17:44.73\00:17:46.73 who are they? 00:17:46.76\00:17:48.06 And where did they come from? 00:17:48.13\00:17:50.70 He didn't just say from all nations, 00:17:50.73\00:17:52.07 he said, they came out of the great tribulation. 00:17:52.10\00:17:55.27 How do they come out? Revelation 18. 00:17:55.30\00:17:57.94 When the proclamation of the message 00:17:57.97\00:17:59.51 by the 144,000 God's chosen people. 00:17:59.54\00:18:02.14 That's where it's distinct, those who have a final message. 00:18:02.18\00:18:05.81 What is the message? Come out of her, My people. 00:18:05.85\00:18:08.18 And who are they? 00:18:08.22\00:18:09.55 They are the ones that came out. 00:18:09.58\00:18:11.65 So there are many more that are gonna accept this message. 00:18:11.69\00:18:14.19 And the work of the 144,000 is to proclaim 00:18:14.22\00:18:17.23 that final message to the world. 00:18:17.26\00:18:19.43 Is that a literal number? 00:18:19.46\00:18:20.80 No, but it's distinct and separate 00:18:20.83\00:18:22.96 from the multitude that no one can number. 00:18:23.00\00:18:25.23 Amen. Amen. 00:18:25.30\00:18:26.63 Thank you, Pastor, for that. I appreciate that. 00:18:26.67\00:18:28.70 Pastor John Dinzey, coming back to you. 00:18:28.77\00:18:30.81 This comes from Ingrid in New York 00:18:30.84\00:18:33.38 and she says, "Hello, 3ABN team. 00:18:33.41\00:18:35.84 I'm about to start reading the Book of Isaiah. 00:18:35.88\00:18:38.31 And I would like further understanding of it. 00:18:38.38\00:18:40.95 Do you know which one of Ellen G. Why is that? 00:22:29.74\00:22:31.08 There's a whole bunch of people 00:22:31.11\00:22:32.45 and there's a whole bunch of other distractions. 00:22:32.48\00:22:33.82 And there's a lot of other voices, 00:22:33.85\00:22:35.32 but I know his voice because I know him. 00:22:35.35\00:22:38.39 When you spend time in the Word of God, 00:22:38.42\00:22:41.96 when you get to know the God of the Bible, 00:22:41.99\00:22:45.69 Jesus Christ, you will discover 00:22:45.73\00:22:48.56 and understand who He is 00:22:48.60\00:22:50.30 and you will clearly know and hear His voice. 00:22:50.33\00:22:54.17 That was a beautiful answer. Thank you for that. 00:22:54.20\00:22:56.50 Pastor Dinzey, I'm gonna come back to you 00:22:56.54\00:22:57.87 for this next question. 00:22:57.91\00:22:59.24 This is coming from Nancy in Tennessee, 00:22:59.27\00:23:02.48 and she says, "Can you please 00:23:02.51\00:23:04.28 explain Genesis 15:13, 16? 00:23:04.31\00:23:09.15 And she makes a note here. 00:23:09.18\00:23:10.52 So sounds like a generation as 100 years." 00:23:10.55\00:23:13.32 So Genesis 15:13, 16. 00:23:13.36\00:23:16.46 Very good. 00:23:16.49\00:23:17.83 Turning to Genesis 15:13, 16. 00:23:17.86\00:23:20.10 It says he, "Then He said to Abram: 00:23:20.13\00:23:24.50 'Know certainly that your descendants 00:23:24.53\00:23:28.04 will be strangers in a land 00:23:28.10\00:23:29.47 that is not theirs, and will serve them, 00:23:29.50\00:23:32.17 and they will afflict them four hundred years." 00:23:32.21\00:23:35.64 Moving to verse 16, 00:23:35.68\00:23:37.01 "But in the fourth generation they shall return here, 00:23:37.05\00:23:40.28 for the iniquity of the Amorites 00:23:40.32\00:23:42.35 is not yet complete." 00:23:42.38\00:23:45.72 I see that the idea is four generations 00:23:45.75\00:23:49.59 must be equaled 100 years each. 00:23:49.62\00:23:52.66 It is not really safe to say 00:23:52.69\00:23:54.73 that a generation is a 100 years. 00:23:54.76\00:23:57.33 You'll see different answers coming 00:23:57.37\00:23:58.70 from different people saying it's 30 years, 40 years 00:23:58.73\00:24:03.57 you'll see different answers. 00:24:03.61\00:24:05.37 The Bible does not tell us how long a generation is. 00:24:05.41\00:24:10.65 It is a, you sometimes in the reference 00:24:10.68\00:24:13.05 as those living in that age, Jesus says in Matthew 24, 00:24:13.08\00:24:17.79 it says this generation shall not pass 00:24:17.82\00:24:20.39 until all these things are fulfilled. 00:24:20.42\00:24:22.69 Those living at that time, seeing those signs, 00:24:22.72\00:24:25.29 that generation will not pass 00:24:25.33\00:24:26.66 until all these things are fulfilled. 00:24:26.70\00:24:28.16 So I also want to point out that sometimes 00:24:28.23\00:24:30.97 and they in reference to the life span of a person. 00:24:31.00\00:24:35.97 When you look at this verse, these verses Genesis 15, 00:24:36.00\00:24:40.48 it is interesting to note that Moses 00:24:40.51\00:24:43.71 was the fourth beginning, 00:24:43.75\00:24:46.35 was the fourth person or the fourth, 00:24:46.38\00:24:49.15 if you call a generation from Levi, 00:24:49.18\00:24:52.59 Caleb was the fourth from Judah. 00:24:52.62\00:24:55.29 So in essence, this could also be 00:24:55.32\00:24:58.39 how you may understand these scriptures that tell us 00:24:58.46\00:25:00.96 in the fourth generation 00:25:01.00\00:25:02.43 unto force four different generation, 00:25:02.46\00:25:05.30 here's the father, his son, and his son. 00:25:05.33\00:25:07.44 And then in the next generation, 00:25:07.47\00:25:09.17 that's when they leave. 00:25:09.20\00:25:10.54 So it's not safe to say a generation is 100 years. 00:25:10.57\00:25:14.68 Gotcha. All right. 00:25:14.71\00:25:16.24 Thank you for that. 00:25:16.28\00:25:17.61 Pastor Lomacang, we're coming back to you. 00:25:17.65\00:25:19.61 And this is, this question says, 00:25:19.65\00:25:22.05 "Can you explain Matthew 27:52-53? 00:25:22.08\00:25:27.36 And they say here, 00:25:27.39\00:25:28.72 did they go to heaven with Jesus? 00:25:28.79\00:25:30.93 Or did they go back to the graves?" 00:25:30.96\00:25:33.53 Okay, wonderful. 00:25:33.56\00:25:34.93 One of the things you'll find when you study the Bible 00:25:34.93\00:25:36.63 about the life of Christ, 00:25:36.67\00:25:38.00 everyone that Jesus raised to life during His ministry 00:25:38.03\00:25:41.37 was subject to death 00:25:41.40\00:25:43.57 because Jesus Himself had not yet conquered death. 00:25:43.61\00:25:46.84 And this is a critical connection. 00:25:46.88\00:25:49.41 He had not yet conquered death until He rose from the grave. 00:25:49.44\00:25:53.72 So what did He pass off to those who rose with Him? 00:25:53.75\00:25:58.69 The very same thing that He rose with. 00:25:58.72\00:26:01.42 He rose to life eternal. 00:26:01.46\00:26:03.89 What did He pass on to those who rose with Him? 00:26:03.93\00:26:06.09 Life eternal. 00:26:06.13\00:26:07.46 And you find here, let me show you in Matthew 00:26:07.50\00:26:09.80 and let's read those passages. 00:26:09.83\00:26:11.17 Matthew 27:52-53. 00:26:11.20\00:26:13.97 Speaking about the resurrection of Christ, 00:26:14.00\00:26:15.94 "And the graves were opened, and many bodies of his saints 00:26:15.97\00:26:18.81 who had fallen asleep were raised, 00:26:18.84\00:26:21.34 and coming out of the graves after his resurrection, 00:26:21.38\00:26:25.05 they went into the holy city and appeared to many." 00:26:25.08\00:26:27.98 You find the fulfillment of a passage in John Chapter 5 00:26:28.02\00:26:31.52 that relates to this. 00:26:31.55\00:26:32.92 And I'll show you the word here 00:26:32.95\00:26:34.56 in the Hebrew transliteration. 00:26:34.59\00:26:36.56 John 5:25. 00:26:36.59\00:26:39.03 We know what John 5:28-29 says, the hour is coming. 00:26:39.06\00:26:42.83 But look at verse 25. 00:26:42.86\00:26:44.70 "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, 00:26:44.73\00:26:50.67 when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, 00:26:50.71\00:26:53.38 and those who hear will live." 00:26:53.41\00:26:55.91 The word there in the Greek means come to life immortal. 00:26:55.94\00:27:00.15 This is not life temporary. 00:27:00.18\00:27:02.28 This is not life that's going to pass off 00:27:02.35\00:27:04.49 like Lazarus was raised from the dead, 00:27:04.52\00:27:07.32 as the Lord uses the example of the brother 00:27:07.36\00:27:09.06 of Mary and Martha. 00:27:09.09\00:27:10.53 And that's when you look at the connection, 00:27:10.56\00:27:12.66 the Hebrew writers and the Greek scholars 00:27:12.69\00:27:15.00 connect this to this very same verse 00:27:15.06\00:27:16.77 in Matthew 27:63, 00:27:16.80\00:27:18.83 they said, the life that's talked about here 00:27:18.87\00:27:21.14 is a very life that's referred to in Matthew 27:63. 00:27:21.17\00:27:25.67 When the accusers of Christ said, 00:27:25.71\00:27:28.58 sir, talking about Christ. 00:27:28.64\00:27:30.48 We remember that that deceiver said 00:27:30.51\00:27:33.98 while he was yet alive, 00:27:34.02\00:27:36.25 after three days, I will rise again. 00:27:36.28\00:27:39.62 That connected to the phrase rise again. 00:27:39.65\00:27:41.96 And did Jesus die again? He didn't. 00:27:42.02\00:27:44.56 So the rising again is being connected 00:27:44.59\00:27:47.03 by the Greek and Hebrew scholars 00:27:47.03\00:27:48.36 to the very same passage in John 5:25, 00:27:48.43\00:27:51.53 those who hear will live. 00:27:51.57\00:27:53.00 So the answer is obvious. 00:27:53.03\00:27:54.70 Those who rose did not die again, 00:27:54.74\00:27:57.41 they became tokens of all 00:27:57.44\00:28:00.08 who had come forth in the first resurrection. 00:28:00.11\00:28:03.01 And some suggest that when Revelation 00:28:03.04\00:28:05.51 talks about the 24 elders around the throne of God, 00:28:05.55\00:28:08.78 you'll never find in the Bible 00:28:08.82\00:28:10.75 anywhere where elders are referred to as angels. 00:28:10.79\00:28:14.09 I know some people try to make the connection, 00:28:14.12\00:28:15.92 but elders are never talked to 00:28:15.96\00:28:17.86 in the Bible spoken of as angels. 00:28:17.89\00:28:20.26 Elders are always referred to 00:28:20.30\00:28:22.63 as a property of a human being. 00:28:22.66\00:28:24.97 So how could they be around the throne, the 24 elders? 00:28:25.00\00:28:28.07 All only those of our peer groups 00:28:28.10\00:28:30.41 are in the proper position to be judging our works. 00:28:30.44\00:28:34.71 So I believe that they did raise to life 00:28:34.74\00:28:37.71 and they went to heaven with the Lord 00:28:37.75\00:28:39.58 as a token of those who were raised 00:28:39.61\00:28:41.08 in the first resurrection. 00:28:41.12\00:28:42.55 Amen. All right. 00:28:42.58\00:28:43.92 Thank you, Pastor, for that. Jill, we're coming back to you. 00:28:43.95\00:28:47.22 And this comes from this particular question 00:28:47.26\00:28:50.13 comes from Niki, from Michigan. 00:28:50.16\00:28:52.19 And she says, "Why did God called 00:28:52.26\00:28:55.70 David his perfect servant. 00:28:55.73\00:28:58.10 He had flaws and mistakes and sins he committed. 00:28:58.13\00:29:00.94 What made him perfect to God?" 00:29:00.97\00:29:03.51 It's a great question, Niki. 00:29:03.54\00:29:04.87 Thank you so much for sending that in. 00:29:04.91\00:29:06.57 You know, David is called a man after God's own heart 00:29:06.61\00:29:09.31 and we find this twice in Scripture. 00:29:09.34\00:29:11.51 First is before, 00:29:11.55\00:29:12.88 when he's anointed before he becomes king, 00:29:12.91\00:29:14.98 that's in 1 Samuel 13:14, 00:29:15.02\00:29:18.52 "Now your Saul's kingdom," 00:29:18.55\00:29:20.22 that means Saul's kingdom shall not continue. 00:29:20.26\00:29:23.09 "The Lord has sought for Himself, 00:29:23.12\00:29:24.73 a man after his own heart, 00:29:24.76\00:29:27.23 and the Lord has commanded him 00:29:27.23\00:29:29.20 to be a commander over His people, 00:29:29.23\00:29:31.23 because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you." 00:29:31.27\00:29:34.67 So the Prophet Samuel is saying, 00:29:34.70\00:29:36.47 okay, Saul, you're not gonna be king 00:29:36.50\00:29:38.51 because you have not walked in the ways of God. 00:29:38.54\00:29:40.91 And God is picking a man after His own heart to be king. 00:29:40.94\00:29:45.85 And that would be David. 00:29:45.88\00:29:47.22 The reference is made as well. 00:29:47.25\00:29:48.72 Paul references it in Acts 13:22, 00:29:48.75\00:29:52.09 really referring to the same passage. 00:29:52.12\00:29:54.39 But why was David called a man after God's own heart? 00:29:54.42\00:29:56.66 'Cause clearly David had sins. 00:29:56.69\00:29:59.73 David killed someone, had Uriah the Hittite killed 00:29:59.76\00:30:03.40 after his sin with Bathsheba. 00:30:03.43\00:30:05.33 And that's just the beginning. 00:30:05.37\00:30:06.70 There are other sins 00:30:06.74\00:30:08.07 that are mentioned in the Word of God. 00:30:08.10\00:30:10.24 I believe he was called a man after God's own heart 00:30:10.27\00:30:12.71 because he repented of his sin. 00:30:12.74\00:30:16.18 We see this in 1 Kings 14. 00:30:16.21\00:30:19.25 Now this is Jeroboam 00:30:19.31\00:30:20.65 and the prophet comes to Jeroboam. 00:30:20.68\00:30:22.62 Now this is after the time of David. 00:30:22.68\00:30:24.69 And he says in 1 Kings 14:8, 00:30:24.72\00:30:28.06 "I tore the kingdom away from the house of David 00:30:28.09\00:30:30.56 and gave it to you, and yet you have not been 00:30:30.59\00:30:33.29 as my servant, David, 00:30:33.33\00:30:34.73 who kept My commandments and who followed me 00:30:34.76\00:30:37.63 with all his heart, 00:30:37.67\00:30:39.00 to do only what was right in My eyes." 00:30:39.03\00:30:42.27 Did you catch that? This is after David's sin. 00:30:42.30\00:30:44.81 God looks at him 00:30:44.84\00:30:46.17 and He said he only did what was right in My eyes. 00:30:46.21\00:30:50.25 Why is that? Because David was forgiven. 00:30:50.28\00:30:52.68 He repented of his sin. 00:30:52.71\00:30:56.18 We see that in Psalm 51. 00:30:56.22\00:30:57.69 We don't have time to read that, 00:30:57.72\00:30:59.05 but that entire Psalm, David is repenting. 00:30:59.12\00:31:02.56 God have mercy on me, blot out my transgressions. 00:31:02.59\00:31:07.36 David loved God's Word and sought to follow it. 00:31:07.40\00:31:10.33 We see that in Psalm 1:19, "Oh, how I love Your law. 00:31:10.37\00:31:15.07 I meditate on it all the day." 00:31:15.10\00:31:17.07 We saw that he sought to follow God. 00:31:17.11\00:31:20.28 He repented and in the eyes of God, 00:31:20.31\00:31:22.81 he was as if he had never sinned. 00:31:22.84\00:31:25.58 Amen. Amen, I like that. 00:31:25.61\00:31:27.22 Thank you, Jill. Great hope. 00:31:27.25\00:31:28.58 Pastor Lomacang coming back to you here. 00:31:28.65\00:31:29.98 Okay. 00:31:30.02\00:31:31.35 This question says, 00:31:31.39\00:31:32.72 "What important message in Revelation 1 00:31:32.75\00:31:34.99 can you share with others given our COVID problem? 00:31:35.02\00:31:39.26 Why is it important?" 00:31:39.29\00:31:41.43 I like that because COVID has taken the center stage 00:31:41.46\00:31:44.07 in so many ways, anywhere from the ridiculous 00:31:44.10\00:31:46.27 to the mundane, anywhere 00:31:46.30\00:31:48.20 from conspiracy theories to just, 00:31:48.24\00:31:50.14 we are being forced to receive the mark of the beast. 00:31:50.17\00:31:51.54 Right. 00:31:51.57\00:31:52.91 It's been, it's just metamorphosized 00:31:52.94\00:31:54.71 into an America foolishness to be very frank about it. 00:31:54.74\00:31:58.08 But Revelation 1 gives hope. 00:31:58.11\00:31:59.61 And let me give you a couple of passage 00:31:59.65\00:32:01.05 in Revelation 1, 00:32:01.08\00:32:02.42 one of the first things I would say 00:32:02.48\00:32:03.89 COVID didn't catch God by surprise. 00:32:03.92\00:32:05.72 Nothing catches God by surprise. 00:32:05.75\00:32:08.19 In spite of COVID, the Lord is coming again. 00:32:08.22\00:32:10.59 Amen. 00:32:10.63\00:32:11.96 Revelation 1:7, "Behold, 00:32:11.99\00:32:13.33 He is coming with clouds and every eye will see Him." 00:32:13.36\00:32:16.77 The promise that the Lord 00:32:16.80\00:32:18.13 made COVID cannot delay or cancel, 00:32:18.17\00:32:21.84 but the encouraging message from Revelation 1 00:32:21.87\00:32:24.87 in light of the COVID environment 00:32:24.91\00:32:26.78 is Revelation 1:17-18. 00:32:26.81\00:32:28.98 "When the Lord says, 00:32:29.01\00:32:30.35 'Do not be afraid, I am the first and the last.'" 00:32:30.38\00:32:33.75 And there's a lot of fear connected 00:32:33.78\00:32:35.35 with the COVID environment. 00:32:35.42\00:32:37.12 People for medical reasons, people for political reasons, 00:32:37.15\00:32:40.89 and every other reason that doesn't really, 00:32:40.92\00:32:43.43 I don't have the time to mention those reasons. 00:32:43.46\00:32:45.46 Fear has come upon so many people 00:32:45.53\00:32:47.66 and some people think it's just the older people. 00:32:47.73\00:32:49.36 No, there are younger people that are just terrified, 00:32:49.40\00:32:51.93 people in general. 00:32:51.97\00:32:53.30 But on the other side of that, 00:32:53.34\00:32:54.67 there are people that are recalcitrant. 00:32:54.70\00:32:56.04 And just so, they exercise no caution at all. 00:32:56.10\00:32:59.21 That's not gonna happen. 00:32:59.27\00:33:00.68 It's a farce, it's a hoax. 00:33:00.71\00:33:03.45 I wouldn't fall into any one of those categories. 00:33:03.48\00:33:05.65 I would believe if, if this is something 00:33:05.68\00:33:07.98 that can take a person's life, 00:33:08.02\00:33:09.68 let's approach it with very cautious attitudes. 00:33:09.72\00:33:12.99 What do we say to a person that's filled with fear? 00:33:13.02\00:33:15.39 Do not be afraid, I am the first and the last. 00:33:15.46\00:33:18.93 Even if COVID takes someone's life, 00:33:18.96\00:33:21.53 which hundreds of thousands of people, 00:33:21.56\00:33:23.63 and more than a million around the world 00:33:23.67\00:33:25.27 are listed as having lost their lives to COVID. 00:33:25.33\00:33:28.37 If you lose your life in Christ, 00:33:28.40\00:33:30.37 He can bring you forth in the first resurrection. 00:33:30.41\00:33:33.07 He says, I have the keys of death and of the grave. 00:33:33.11\00:33:36.71 So even COVID itself cannot prevent a saint 00:33:36.75\00:33:40.12 from coming forth from the grave 00:33:40.15\00:33:41.55 when Jesus comes back. 00:33:41.58\00:33:42.92 That's right. Amen. 00:33:42.95\00:33:44.29 Amen. Wonderful. 00:33:44.32\00:33:45.65 Pastor John Dinzey, this one comes to you 00:33:45.69\00:33:48.72 and this person says, "John baptized Jesus in water. 00:33:48.76\00:33:53.43 Was John baptized?" 00:33:53.46\00:33:56.36 That is a good question I have to say. 00:33:56.40\00:33:57.73 I've never heard that one. 00:33:57.77\00:33:59.10 But it is reasonable to, 00:33:59.13\00:34:02.17 to come to the conclusion that yes. 00:34:02.24\00:34:04.94 Why? 00:34:04.97\00:34:06.31 Well, because in John Chapter 3, 00:34:06.37\00:34:09.44 I'm beginning in verse 3, Jesus says these things, 00:34:09.48\00:34:13.98 "Jesus answered and said to him, 00:34:14.02\00:34:18.89 'Most assuredly, I say to you, 00:34:18.95\00:34:21.42 unless one is born again, 00:34:21.46\00:34:23.79 he cannot see the kingdom of God.' 00:34:23.83\00:34:27.20 Nicodemus said to Him, 00:34:27.23\00:34:28.53 'How can a man be born when he is old? 00:34:28.56\00:34:30.67 Can he enter a second time 00:34:30.70\00:34:32.90 into his mother's womb and be born?' 00:34:32.93\00:34:34.54 Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, 00:34:34.57\00:34:36.50 I say to you, unless one is born of water 00:34:36.54\00:34:39.37 and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 00:34:39.44\00:34:42.81 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, 00:34:42.84\00:34:44.55 and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." 00:34:44.58\00:34:46.82 So considering this, I would say it is reasonable, 00:34:46.85\00:34:51.15 logical to believe that John the Baptist was baptized, 00:34:51.19\00:34:54.66 but the Bible does not reveal who baptized him. 00:34:54.69\00:34:58.86 But I'm fine believing that yes, 00:34:58.89\00:35:01.56 he would ask someone, would you please baptize me? 00:35:01.60\00:35:04.47 Because if you're not baptized, as he says, 00:35:04.50\00:35:06.94 if you're able to, you should be baptized. 00:35:06.97\00:35:08.97 There are some people in certain conditions 00:35:09.00\00:35:11.31 that cannot get out of the bed. 00:35:11.34\00:35:12.74 They cannot be submerged under water. 00:35:12.77\00:35:15.28 And so this is understandable. 00:35:15.31\00:35:17.28 Well, you had a thief on the cross. 00:35:17.31\00:35:18.75 He couldn't come down from the cross to be baptized. 00:35:18.78\00:35:21.38 But Jesus said to him, 00:35:21.42\00:35:22.95 "You will be with me in the kingdom." 00:35:22.98\00:35:24.89 Amen. Amen. 00:35:24.92\00:35:26.25 Wonderful. 00:35:26.32\00:35:27.66 That's an interesting question and a great answer. 00:35:27.69\00:35:29.12 Thank you, Pastor. Praise the Lord. 00:35:29.19\00:35:30.53 Pastor Lomacang, I'm gonna come back to you 00:35:30.56\00:35:31.89 for this one. 00:35:31.93\00:35:33.26 It says John 3:16, by the way, 00:35:33.29\00:35:34.60 this comes from Cheri in Washington, DC. 00:35:34.63\00:35:37.83 And Cheri says, "John 3:16 says 00:35:37.87\00:35:41.87 whosoever believes shall not perish, 00:35:41.90\00:35:45.17 but have everlasting life. 00:35:45.21\00:35:47.08 And her question is need we only believe?" 00:35:47.11\00:35:50.08 Oh, okay. 00:35:50.11\00:35:51.91 Well, Cheri, the answer is no. 00:35:51.95\00:35:55.75 Belief is something that requires an action. 00:35:55.82\00:35:59.29 Oftentimes the gospel is connected 00:35:59.32\00:36:01.02 to just an intellectual ascent 00:36:01.06\00:36:02.66 and say, well, I believe that, I believe this. 00:36:02.72\00:36:05.39 You know, you can believe that birds can fly, 00:36:05.43\00:36:07.20 but you can't fly just because you believe it. 00:36:07.23\00:36:10.13 A lot of things are not activated 00:36:10.17\00:36:11.97 by just believing. 00:36:12.00\00:36:13.37 The belief that we are expressing in 00:36:13.40\00:36:16.71 behalf of Christ should be followed 00:36:16.74\00:36:19.31 and warranting a response to it. 00:36:19.34\00:36:20.84 Yes. 00:36:20.88\00:36:22.21 The Bible makes it very clear in Matthew 16:16, 00:36:22.28\00:36:25.25 he who believes will be saved? 00:36:25.28\00:36:27.58 No. 00:36:27.62\00:36:28.95 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved, 00:36:29.02\00:36:33.22 but he who does not believe will be condemned." 00:36:33.25\00:36:36.26 So belief is connected to the first step 00:36:36.29\00:36:39.33 in escaping the condemnation 00:36:39.36\00:36:41.56 that has come about as a result of sin. 00:36:41.60\00:36:44.17 But belief is not all you need to do. 00:36:44.20\00:36:46.07 And I appreciate it. 00:36:46.13\00:36:47.47 I'm just gonna tag on to Pastor Dinzey here. 00:36:47.50\00:36:50.24 I believe that John's disciples baptized John, 00:36:50.27\00:36:53.01 'cause his disciples are doing a lot of baptism. 00:36:53.07\00:36:55.48 Because John understood, baptism is the key 00:36:55.54\00:36:58.18 to entering into that new life, 00:36:58.21\00:37:00.22 that example of walking with God 00:37:00.25\00:37:02.25 and walking with Christ. 00:37:02.28\00:37:03.69 Paul also says, I mean, in the Book of Acts, 00:37:03.72\00:37:07.36 Dr. Luke says, and Peter is preaching 00:37:07.39\00:37:10.06 on the day of Pentecost, 00:37:10.09\00:37:11.59 "Repent, therefore, and be converted that 00:37:11.63\00:37:14.46 your sins may be blotted out. 00:37:14.46\00:37:16.87 So the times of refreshing may come 00:37:16.90\00:37:19.43 from the presence of the Lord." 00:37:19.47\00:37:20.80 All right. 00:37:20.84\00:37:22.17 So it's not just believing and saying, this is great, 00:37:22.20\00:37:24.54 but here's the reason why believing alone 00:37:24.57\00:37:26.41 is not important. 00:37:26.47\00:37:28.68 The devils believe and they trembled. 00:37:28.71\00:37:31.45 That's right. 00:37:31.48\00:37:32.81 Devils are not saved because they believe... 00:37:32.85\00:37:34.58 Thank you. 00:37:34.62\00:37:35.98 When you believe there's something else 00:37:36.02\00:37:37.35 must be added to that belief. 00:37:37.39\00:37:39.15 You believe that there is one God, you do well. 00:37:39.19\00:37:41.49 Even the demons believe, but you know, foolish man, 00:37:41.52\00:37:45.19 your belief should be connected to your works 00:37:45.23\00:37:47.13 because faith without works is dead. 00:37:47.20\00:37:50.77 Saved by works? 00:37:50.80\00:37:52.13 No, but you can't be in a believing, 00:37:52.17\00:37:54.07 growing relationship with Christ 00:37:54.10\00:37:55.80 and have no works as evidence of that connection. 00:37:55.87\00:37:59.24 Absolutely, wonderful. Thank you, Pastor. 00:37:59.27\00:38:01.64 Pastor Dinzey, I'm gonna come right back to you 00:38:01.68\00:38:03.55 for this next question. 00:38:03.58\00:38:05.15 Says, "Could you please explain Genesis 6 00:38:05.18\00:38:08.25 that speaks about the daughters of men 00:38:08.28\00:38:10.22 and the sons of God. 00:38:10.25\00:38:11.65 Are they angels or are they all humans?" 00:38:11.69\00:38:16.89 That is a very good question. 00:38:16.93\00:38:18.53 And many people believe that, but what does, 00:38:18.56\00:38:21.50 what can we find in the Bible that will help us 00:38:21.53\00:38:23.33 to understand that who these individuals were? 00:38:23.37\00:38:26.63 Let's go to Genesis Chapter 6 and here you will go 00:38:26.67\00:38:29.77 to verse 1 where it talks about this very thing. 00:38:29.80\00:38:33.58 "And now it came to pass 00:38:33.61\00:38:34.94 when men began to multiply on the face of the earth 00:38:34.98\00:38:37.41 and daughters were born to them, 00:38:37.45\00:38:39.28 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, 00:38:39.31\00:38:42.05 that they were beautiful. 00:38:42.08\00:38:43.42 And they took wives 00:38:43.45\00:38:44.79 for themselves of all whom they chose. 00:38:44.82\00:38:47.32 And the Lord said, 'My Spirit shall not strive 00:38:47.36\00:38:49.99 with man forever for he is indeed flesh, 00:38:50.03\00:38:52.89 yet his days shall be 120 years." 00:38:52.96\00:38:55.90 Here you have God reacting 00:38:55.93\00:38:57.27 to the situation that was already happening. 00:38:57.30\00:38:59.37 And I'm gonna say it right now and I will say it again. 00:38:59.40\00:39:02.20 These sons of God, they saw the daughters of men. 00:39:02.24\00:39:05.94 These are the ones that chose to be faithful. 00:39:05.97\00:39:09.04 Adam's descendants, Seth, that chose to be faithful. 00:39:09.11\00:39:12.61 The daughters of men were the daughters of Cain. 00:39:12.68\00:39:16.55 Those of Cain's descendants 00:39:16.58\00:39:18.02 that chose to separate themselves from the Lord. 00:39:18.05\00:39:20.69 This is who it's talking about here. 00:39:20.72\00:39:22.59 Now, verse 4, "There were giants on the earth 00:39:22.62\00:39:25.29 in those days, and also afterward 00:39:25.33\00:39:27.23 when the sons of God came into the daughters of men 00:39:27.23\00:39:30.20 and they bore children to them. 00:39:30.23\00:39:32.33 Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. 00:39:32.37\00:39:37.37 Then the Lord saw the wickedness of man 00:39:37.41\00:39:40.04 was great in the earth. 00:39:40.08\00:39:41.71 And that every intent of the thoughts of his heart 00:39:41.74\00:39:44.11 was only evil continually." 00:39:44.15\00:39:46.25 So what we have here is for a period of time, 00:39:46.28\00:39:50.05 the sons of God, 00:39:50.09\00:39:51.42 those who chose to be faithful live separate. 00:39:51.45\00:39:53.49 Cain and his descendants that were evil live separately. 00:39:53.52\00:39:56.49 But the sons of God that chose, 00:39:56.56\00:39:58.69 the ones that chose to be faithful 00:39:58.73\00:40:00.06 started looking on the other side, 00:40:00.10\00:40:01.40 "Hey, they have good looking women over there too. 00:40:01.43\00:40:03.53 Why don't we go over there and take some wives 00:40:03.57\00:40:05.20 from over there?" 00:40:05.23\00:40:06.57 And so the distinction between the two disappeared, 00:40:06.63\00:40:10.14 and that's why you have the thoughts of men's hearts 00:40:10.17\00:40:14.51 being evil continually. 00:40:14.54\00:40:16.08 The race became corrupted the whole race. 00:40:16.14\00:40:19.01 Now it's interesting to note that in Genesis Chapter 4, 00:40:19.05\00:40:22.62 you have the genealogy of the family of Cain. 00:40:22.68\00:40:25.45 Genesis Chapter 4, beginning in verse 16. 00:40:25.49\00:40:29.06 But when you get to Chapter 5, 00:40:29.12\00:40:30.69 it starts to discuss the genealogy of Adam, 00:40:30.73\00:40:33.43 those that chose to be faithful. 00:40:33.46\00:40:35.03 So by the time you get to Genesis Chapter 6, 00:40:35.06\00:40:37.53 you're seeing the story revealing that 00:40:37.57\00:40:40.60 the daughters of God, the sons of God, 00:40:40.64\00:40:42.77 those who were faithful 00:40:42.80\00:40:44.14 and the sons of men that were evil, 00:40:44.17\00:40:45.97 they started intermarrying one another 00:40:46.04\00:40:48.24 and the distinction was lost. 00:40:48.28\00:40:49.64 These were not angels that had, I'm gonna say sex with women 00:40:49.71\00:40:55.65 and had giants. 00:40:55.68\00:40:57.15 These were the sons of God that decided to say, 00:40:57.19\00:41:00.62 "Hey, let's go over there and intermarriage." 00:41:00.66\00:41:03.46 That's right. Amen. 00:41:03.49\00:41:04.83 Appreciate that answer. 00:41:04.86\00:41:06.19 As you were, as you were answering that, 00:41:06.23\00:41:07.56 I was thinking of Romans 8:14, 00:41:07.60\00:41:08.90 which says, "For as many as are led 00:41:08.93\00:41:10.53 by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God." 00:41:10.57\00:41:13.50 That's right. And so, amen. 00:41:13.54\00:41:14.87 Great answer. Great answer. All right. 00:41:14.90\00:41:17.14 This next question says, "What is the meaning of 3ABN? 00:41:17.17\00:41:22.14 And what better person to answer this question 00:41:22.18\00:41:24.35 than our vice president and COO, Jill. 00:41:24.38\00:41:28.02 Thank you so much for sending in your question, 00:41:28.05\00:41:29.85 'cause this tells me you might be brand new 00:41:29.88\00:41:31.85 to the 3ABN family, 00:41:31.89\00:41:33.22 and we are delighted that you tuned in 00:41:33.25\00:41:35.32 and that you're watching 00:41:35.36\00:41:36.69 or that you're listening to us on radio. 00:41:36.73\00:41:38.79 3ABN began in 1984, 00:41:38.83\00:41:41.83 when God called a carpenter Danny Shelton 00:41:41.86\00:41:45.30 to build a television station that would reach the world 00:41:45.33\00:41:49.54 with the undiluted three angels' messages, 00:41:49.57\00:41:52.41 one that would counteract the counterfeit. 00:41:52.44\00:41:54.54 And for over 36 years, 3ABN has sought 00:41:54.58\00:41:58.41 to remain faithful to that vision, 00:41:58.45\00:42:00.65 to proclaim the gospel, 00:42:00.68\00:42:02.48 to proclaim the three angels' messages, 00:42:02.52\00:42:04.62 to proclaim what the Word of God says 00:42:04.65\00:42:07.06 to a lost and dying world. 00:42:07.09\00:42:09.06 We do that through television. 00:42:09.09\00:42:10.86 We have nine television networks 00:42:10.89\00:42:13.86 and five radio networks. 00:42:13.90\00:42:15.53 We do that through programming 00:42:15.56\00:42:17.87 that helps with addiction recovery. 00:42:17.90\00:42:20.74 That's biblical teaching like this program. 00:42:20.77\00:42:23.14 We have programs for children, 00:42:23.17\00:42:25.07 programming that would be focused on music, 00:42:25.11\00:42:27.58 programs for cooking 00:42:27.61\00:42:28.94 and healthy eating and exercise. 00:42:28.98\00:42:31.71 We have different languages. 00:42:31.75\00:42:33.15 We have Spanish, Pastor Dinzey. 00:42:33.18\00:42:35.12 We have French, we have Russian. 00:42:35.15\00:42:38.15 And what a gift and blessing to be 00:42:38.19\00:42:40.72 able to proclaim the gospel in multiple languages. 00:42:40.76\00:42:43.86 Amen. 00:42:43.89\00:42:45.23 And in multiple ways, as Pastor Johnny 00:42:45.26\00:42:47.96 would always say, 00:42:47.96\00:42:49.30 3ABN is a channel of divine origin. 00:42:49.36\00:42:53.57 And we believe that God 00:42:53.60\00:42:55.04 is at the helm of this ministry, 00:42:55.07\00:42:57.14 that God leads and directs 00:42:57.17\00:42:59.04 and the entire purpose of each person 00:42:59.07\00:43:01.31 here in the ministry, 00:43:01.34\00:43:02.71 no matter whether they work in accounting 00:43:02.74\00:43:05.11 or answer your calls in the call center, 00:43:05.15\00:43:07.75 no matter whether they run camera 00:43:07.78\00:43:09.42 or appear on television, the purpose is all the same, 00:43:09.45\00:43:12.89 to proclaim that gospel message 00:43:12.92\00:43:15.26 to the world so that we can go home. 00:43:15.29\00:43:18.36 Amen. Praise the Lord. 00:43:18.39\00:43:20.30 And it's such a blessing to be a part of this worldwide, 00:43:20.33\00:43:22.80 amazing ministry, 3ABN. 00:43:22.86\00:43:24.87 That reminds me on that note, that particular question came 00:43:24.90\00:43:27.64 from one of our YouTube viewers. 00:43:27.67\00:43:29.40 Just another way that you could submit a question. 00:43:29.44\00:43:31.54 If you're a YouTube viewer, you have a YouTube account. 00:43:31.57\00:43:33.74 You can just type your question there in the comment section 00:43:33.78\00:43:36.24 and we'll do our best to get to that question. 00:43:36.28\00:43:38.38 I'm gonna go to our bonus questions 00:43:38.41\00:43:41.22 at this time 00:43:41.25\00:43:42.58 where we just kinda throw it out there. 00:43:42.62\00:43:43.95 We have about eight minutes, before we go to our break here, 00:43:43.99\00:43:47.06 but I'm gonna throw just a couple of questions 00:43:47.09\00:43:49.06 out there and just let the panel take it, 00:43:49.09\00:43:51.33 let you guys speak freely as you choose. 00:43:51.36\00:43:53.23 But this first question is, 00:43:53.29\00:43:54.73 "Will there be marriages and births in the new earth?" 00:43:54.73\00:44:00.94 In the new earth? Okay. 00:44:00.97\00:44:02.30 Let's first start with a very obvious answer. 00:44:02.34\00:44:05.04 Speculation is a big part of this. 00:44:05.07\00:44:08.08 When the Bible talks about the new earth, 00:44:08.11\00:44:09.48 it talks about we will have houses. 00:44:09.54\00:44:11.05 we will inhabit them, we will plant vineyards. 00:44:11.08\00:44:13.85 And then it talks about in the Book of Malachi, 00:44:13.88\00:44:16.28 children will grow up to a 100 years old. 00:44:16.32\00:44:19.12 You know, the baby will put his hand 00:44:19.15\00:44:21.39 by the hole of the serpent and not be bitten. 00:44:21.42\00:44:24.06 A lion shall be led by a lamb. 00:44:24.09\00:44:27.03 It talks about all these things, 00:44:27.10\00:44:28.40 but it does not address marriage in the new earth. 00:44:28.43\00:44:32.27 Personally, I am married one woman. 00:44:32.30\00:44:35.37 I'm gonna keep holding onto her 'cause I want to have, 00:44:35.40\00:44:38.81 if in fact this question is, 00:44:38.84\00:44:40.84 yes, I won't be looking to get married 00:44:40.88\00:44:43.01 in the new earth. 00:44:43.04\00:44:44.38 I've often counseled people as a marriage coach. 00:44:44.41\00:44:46.98 Sometimes I've said, 00:44:47.02\00:44:48.65 "Don't wait till heaven to get married experience 00:44:48.68\00:44:51.95 what we men experienced down here, 00:44:51.99\00:44:54.22 marry somebody that's not perfect. 00:44:54.26\00:44:56.83 So you could appreciate the way that God looks at His church. 00:44:56.89\00:45:00.36 My wife is learning about God through my life. 00:45:00.40\00:45:03.00 I'm learning about Christ through her life. 00:45:03.06\00:45:05.30 The Lord wanted marriage to be an example on earth 00:45:05.33\00:45:07.94 of the relationship between Christ and His church. 00:45:07.97\00:45:11.01 So now having said that, in the new earth, 00:45:11.04\00:45:14.48 we're gonna all be perfect. 00:45:14.51\00:45:15.98 Christ's church is gonna be perfect. 00:45:16.01\00:45:17.75 My wife is gonna be perfect. I'm gonna be perfect. 00:45:17.78\00:45:20.82 But the Bible doesn't talk about 00:45:20.85\00:45:22.38 marriage in the new earth, 00:45:22.42\00:45:23.75 but it says in Matthew 22:34, 00:45:23.79\00:45:25.49 "In the resurrection, 00:45:25.52\00:45:27.39 they neither marry nor are given in marriage, 00:45:27.42\00:45:30.53 but are like angels of God in heaven." 00:45:30.56\00:45:33.56 Amen. 00:45:33.60\00:45:34.93 It leaves it to heaven, 00:45:34.93\00:45:36.26 but it doesn't talk about the new earth. 00:45:36.30\00:45:37.63 Gotcha. 00:45:37.67\00:45:39.00 Okay. Yes. 00:45:39.03\00:45:40.37 I was gonna read similar, 00:45:40.40\00:45:41.74 it's a similar scripture in Luke 20, 00:45:41.77\00:45:43.10 Luke, 20:34, 35 and 36, 00:45:43.14\00:45:44.47 "And Jesus answering said unto them, 00:45:44.51\00:45:46.04 'The children of this world marry 00:45:46.11\00:45:48.74 and are given in marriage, 00:45:48.78\00:45:50.61 but they which shall be accounted worthy 00:45:50.65\00:45:53.15 to obtain that world, 00:45:53.18\00:45:55.08 and the resurrection from the dead, 00:45:55.12\00:45:57.05 neither marry nor are given in marriage, 00:45:57.09\00:45:59.62 neither can they die anymore, 00:45:59.69\00:46:01.12 for they are equal unto angels, 00:46:01.16\00:46:03.12 unto the angels and are the children of God 00:46:03.16\00:46:05.76 being the children of the resurrection." 00:46:05.79\00:46:07.40 So it's pretty clear that 00:46:07.40\00:46:10.00 there will not be marriages in heaven. 00:46:10.03\00:46:11.53 And so, there are no marriages in heaven. 00:46:11.57\00:46:14.90 There will be no children. 00:46:14.94\00:46:16.27 You know, I heard somebody say, 00:46:16.34\00:46:17.74 my father used to say that actually he said, 00:46:17.77\00:46:19.54 you know, the only commandment 00:46:19.61\00:46:22.04 that people have really kept is that one that says, 00:46:22.08\00:46:24.35 "Be fruitful and multiply." 00:46:24.38\00:46:25.71 That's good. That's good. 00:46:29.55\00:46:31.42 I think of 1 Corinthians 2. 00:46:31.45\00:46:34.02 I like this scripture, 1 Corinthians 2:9, 00:46:34.06\00:46:36.66 "As it is written, eye has not seen nor ear heard, 00:46:36.69\00:46:40.33 nor have entered into the heart of man, 00:46:40.36\00:46:42.53 the things which God has prepared 00:46:42.56\00:46:45.23 for those who love Him." 00:46:45.27\00:46:46.63 So when I read that scripture, it reminds me that no matter 00:46:46.67\00:46:50.11 what we're going to experience in heaven 00:46:50.14\00:46:52.51 and in the new earth, 00:46:52.54\00:46:53.88 it will be better than anything we imagined. 00:46:53.91\00:46:55.71 That's right. And it will be amazing. 00:46:55.74\00:46:57.85 Now this is not from the Word of God. 00:46:57.88\00:46:59.81 This is just Jill's talking right now. 00:46:59.85\00:47:02.38 So I might get a letter or two about this. 00:47:02.42\00:47:04.65 But when I read in the beginning, 00:47:04.69\00:47:06.69 in the Garden of Eden, 00:47:06.72\00:47:08.06 what did God create at the very beginning? 00:47:08.09\00:47:10.29 He created the Sabbath and He created marriage. 00:47:10.36\00:47:12.79 That's right. 00:47:12.83\00:47:14.13 Those are the two institutions 00:47:14.20\00:47:16.13 which we saw from the beginning. 00:47:16.16\00:47:18.67 So in my simple mind, 00:47:18.70\00:47:20.47 the Sabbath continues throughout eternity. 00:47:20.50\00:47:22.90 That's very clear from the Word of God. 00:47:22.94\00:47:24.27 That's right. 00:47:24.31\00:47:25.64 Now, whether marriage or some facet, 00:47:25.67\00:47:28.04 what that looks like will continue in the new earth. 00:47:28.08\00:47:31.28 I don't know, but I'm looking forward to find out 00:47:31.31\00:47:33.31 because that'll be better than anything we ever imagined. 00:47:33.35\00:47:35.05 Right, right. 00:47:35.08\00:47:36.42 You know, I've always thought, you know, 00:47:36.48\00:47:37.82 we're not gonna be showing up in heaven. 00:47:37.85\00:47:39.45 And, you know, 00:47:39.49\00:47:40.82 I think whatever the case may be, 00:47:40.86\00:47:42.19 we're gonna be content and happy. 00:47:42.22\00:47:43.56 That's right. 00:47:43.63\00:47:44.96 'Cause we're the presence of God. 00:47:44.99\00:47:46.33 I don't know that anybody who's gonna show up to heaven 00:47:46.36\00:47:47.66 and be like, wait a second. 00:47:47.73\00:47:49.03 I'm not married. 00:47:49.06\00:47:50.40 This is different what I thought, 00:47:50.43\00:47:51.77 I don't wanna here anymore. 00:47:51.80\00:47:53.13 They're gonna be happy and content 00:47:53.17\00:47:54.50 with this beautiful paradise that God has given us. 00:47:54.54\00:47:55.87 You know, it's sad. 00:47:55.90\00:47:57.24 I remember many years ago, we turned on the television 00:47:57.27\00:48:00.44 and they were announcing some music 00:48:00.51\00:48:04.18 that they were selling. 00:48:04.21\00:48:05.61 And there was a song that said, "If there is no beer in heaven, 00:48:05.65\00:48:08.72 I don't want to go." 00:48:08.75\00:48:10.19 I said, "What in the world is in the mind of this person." 00:48:10.22\00:48:13.25 This shows how corrupt 00:48:13.29\00:48:14.62 some people have become to think, 00:48:14.66\00:48:16.16 well, if there's no beer, I don't wanna go. 00:48:16.19\00:48:18.19 Believe me, God has so many wonderful things, 00:48:18.23\00:48:21.43 much better than beer. 00:48:21.46\00:48:23.03 Believe it or not for some of you that 00:48:23.06\00:48:25.33 like beer that much. 00:48:25.37\00:48:27.64 Like I said, eyes have not seen, 00:48:27.67\00:48:29.54 neither have ears heard, 00:48:29.57\00:48:31.01 nor has entered into the thoughts 00:48:31.04\00:48:32.61 of your mind the wonderful things 00:48:32.64\00:48:34.31 that God has for us. 00:48:34.34\00:48:35.68 So I encourage you to desire to be 00:48:35.71\00:48:37.95 among God's people, and go to heaven. 00:48:37.98\00:48:39.78 Amen. 00:48:39.81\00:48:41.15 And I don't think that God 00:48:41.18\00:48:42.52 is going to get rid of marriages either. 00:48:42.55\00:48:44.35 Right. Keep in mind the heavenly part. 00:48:44.39\00:48:46.09 We talk about going to heaven. 00:48:46.12\00:48:47.89 The great controversy is not yet settled. 00:48:47.92\00:48:50.49 We're gonna be in heaven for a thousand years. 00:48:50.53\00:48:52.79 And the great controversy 00:48:52.83\00:48:54.13 is going to be settled at the end of that 00:48:54.20\00:48:55.50 when sin and sinners are destroyed. 00:48:55.53\00:48:57.00 So we're not gonna be up there looking for a husband or wife, 00:48:57.03\00:48:59.77 but I believe in the new earth, God is not gonna say, 00:48:59.80\00:49:02.34 well, John, I'm sorry. 00:49:02.37\00:49:03.71 You got to get rid of Angie. Angie got to get rid of John. 00:49:03.74\00:49:06.17 No, I don't believe that 00:49:06.21\00:49:07.54 because it's such a blessed institution. 00:49:07.58\00:49:08.91 Thank you, Jill, for reminding us, 00:49:08.94\00:49:10.31 God wouldn't bless something 00:49:10.35\00:49:11.95 and say later on it's defective. 00:49:11.98\00:49:13.42 Gotcha. Wonderful. 00:49:13.48\00:49:14.82 All right. 00:49:14.85\00:49:16.18 We have about two and a half minutes 00:49:16.22\00:49:17.55 to give one more answer to another question. 00:49:17.59\00:49:19.49 This one comes from Arizona and this person says, 00:49:19.52\00:49:22.22 "In the Bible, it talks about divorce only 00:49:22.26\00:49:24.66 when one spouse is unfaithful. 00:49:24.69\00:49:27.03 If a couple divorces because they grow apart 00:49:27.10\00:49:29.83 and one spouse is unfaithful, 00:49:29.90\00:49:31.97 perhaps after they divorced or remarries, 00:49:32.00\00:49:34.54 is the other spouse then free to remarry?" 00:49:34.57\00:49:39.21 Okay, good. 00:49:39.24\00:49:41.08 I'll let you start, Jill, and then I'll go. 00:49:41.11\00:49:43.18 Well, I'll just jump in and say absolutely. 00:49:43.21\00:49:45.68 I mean the principle, 00:49:45.71\00:49:47.05 we know that for purposes of adultery, 00:49:47.08\00:49:49.15 if one of the partners in marriage commits adultery, 00:49:49.18\00:49:52.35 that the other spouse is free to remarry. 00:49:52.39\00:49:53.99 So I would say if there was divorce 00:49:54.02\00:49:56.19 and someone else remarries, 00:49:56.22\00:49:57.59 then I would say they would be free to remarry. 00:49:57.63\00:50:00.63 I have to say, you know, 00:50:00.66\00:50:01.96 that the marriage institution is, 00:50:02.00\00:50:04.30 it was supposed to be for life. 00:50:04.33\00:50:05.83 I know there are situations now, 00:50:05.87\00:50:07.97 people make mistakes. 00:50:08.00\00:50:09.60 God is understanding about those mistakes. 00:50:09.64\00:50:12.27 But when you're talking about remarriage for, 00:50:12.31\00:50:16.28 as Jill has mentioned, 00:50:16.34\00:50:18.48 we have the guidance in 1 Corinthians Chapter 7, 00:50:18.51\00:50:20.98 is it or is it 2 Corinthians... 00:50:21.02\00:50:22.55 1 Corinthians Chapter 7 says, 00:50:22.58\00:50:24.12 that if you're going to remarry, 00:50:24.15\00:50:26.02 you should marry with a believer. 00:50:26.05\00:50:28.59 That's right.
