I want to spend my life. 00:00:02.80\00:00:07.70 I want to spend my life. 00:00:35.20\00:00:38.37 I want to spend my life. 00:00:45.91\00:00:49.28 Hello, I'm Shelley Quinn. 00:01:06.03\00:01:07.10 I'm JD Quinn. 00:01:07.30\00:01:08.10 And we welcome you to 3ABN Today Live. 00:01:08.20\00:01:11.93 And we're going to have a great program tonight. 00:01:12.17\00:01:15.44 Before I introduce our guest, I just want to read one of my 00:01:15.90\00:01:20.28 favorite scriptures, Three Angels Broadcasting Network. 00:01:20.28\00:01:24.05 We got our title or our ministry name from the three 00:01:24.41\00:01:29.28 angels of Revelation 14. 00:01:29.28\00:01:31.75 And I think my favorite verse is Revelation 14 verse 6 that 00:01:32.25\00:01:37.73 tells us when these three angels are appearing, John 00:01:37.73\00:01:41.40 says, then I saw another angel flying in the midst of having 00:01:41.40\00:01:46.07 the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on 00:01:46.07\00:01:51.81 the earth, every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. 00:01:51.81\00:01:57.51 The everlasting gospel, the grace of God, the salvation 00:01:58.11\00:02:03.05 offered through Jesus Christ, the love of God is the 00:02:03.05\00:02:07.49 foundation of the three angels' messages. 00:02:07.49\00:02:09.79 And tonight we have two special guests with us. 00:02:10.26\00:02:13.90 They are in a ministry. 00:02:14.40\00:02:16.26 I think it's an exciting ministry because they are a 00:02:16.40\00:02:20.60 network. 00:02:20.60\00:02:20.97 It's a thriving network. 00:02:21.17\00:02:22.70 They have over 400 ministries, lay ministries in this network, 00:02:23.20\00:02:30.81 and they're in 87 countries. 00:02:31.08\00:02:34.82 And they're wanting to go every country of the world so that 00:02:35.25\00:02:38.39 they can fulfill this scripture. 00:02:38.39\00:02:40.66 So without further ado, let me introduce our special guests. 00:02:41.42\00:02:44.66 We have Steve Dickman, who is the president of Outpost 00:02:45.06\00:02:49.60 Centers International. 00:02:49.60\00:02:51.07 Steve, welcome back. 00:02:51.57\00:02:52.63 Thank you. 00:02:52.83\00:02:53.37 It's good to be here. 00:02:53.37\00:02:54.37 We always enjoy when you're here because you have such 00:02:54.54\00:02:57.61 great stories. 00:02:57.61\00:02:58.57 And then we have James Hartley. 00:02:59.01\00:03:01.21 And James, you are the vice president of Outpost Centers 00:03:01.41\00:03:08.45 International. 00:03:08.45\00:03:09.12 We just welcome you here as well. 00:03:10.52\00:03:12.72 Thank you. 00:03:12.72\00:03:13.09 Glad to be here. 00:03:13.15\00:03:14.06 I'll tell you, that's a great scripture for this particular 00:03:14.42\00:03:17.19 program because we are covering the world. 00:03:17.19\00:03:20.46 You know, there's something interesting, at least from my 00:03:21.16\00:03:23.37 standpoint. 00:03:23.37\00:03:23.77 When you read the gospel commission in Matthew, and then 00:03:24.50\00:03:27.94 you read the gospel commission in Mark, and you read the 00:03:27.94\00:03:31.04 gospel commission in Luke, but John doesn't specifically 00:03:31.04\00:03:35.34 address that in the gospel, but he addresses it in Revelation. 00:03:35.34\00:03:40.18 So what you've just shared with us is one of my favorite verses 00:03:40.72\00:03:44.55 as well. 00:03:44.55\00:03:45.09 It's John's version of the gospel commission in the 00:03:45.99\00:03:48.96 context of these three angels' messages. 00:03:48.96\00:03:51.26 Amen. 00:03:51.46\00:03:52.06 So it's amazing. 00:03:52.26\00:03:53.29 And you know, if people don't know the love of God, if they 00:03:53.53\00:03:56.16 don't know the grace of God, the rest of the three angels' 00:03:56.16\00:04:00.74 messages aren't going to make any difference to them. 00:04:01.44\00:04:04.07 First, they've got to know God. 00:04:04.17\00:04:06.27 And that takes workers, that takes people who are out 00:04:06.74\00:04:11.71 ministering on behalf of the Lord. 00:04:11.71\00:04:13.85 Well, I know that everyone loves music and we have got a 00:04:14.42\00:04:19.69 great pianist with us tonight. 00:04:19.69\00:04:21.29 Josh Singletary, and he's going to be playing, Oh How I Love 00:04:21.69\00:04:26.16 Jesus. 00:04:26.16\00:04:27.03 Amen. 00:04:27.30\00:04:27.66 Thank you. 00:06:02.22\00:06:03.02 Thank you, Josh. 00:06:03.02\00:06:03.69 That was wonderful. 00:06:03.79\00:06:04.56 Yes. 00:06:04.93\00:06:05.46 That was uplifting too. 00:06:05.49\00:06:06.53 It was. 00:06:06.59\00:06:06.90 Amen. 00:06:07.03\00:06:10.83 are Steve Dickman and James Hartley with Outpost Centers 00:06:10.83\00:06:15.30 International. 00:06:15.30\00:06:16.27 And boy, have they got some stories to tell. 00:06:16.27\00:06:18.44 But I know you wanted to make a public thank you first. 00:06:18.81\00:06:21.71 You see how big this glass is? 00:06:22.11\00:06:23.91 Pretty big glass. 00:06:24.35\00:06:25.28 We just got to send some tomatoes that were about 00:06:25.68\00:06:28.02 looking like this. 00:06:28.02\00:06:29.25 Now, this is pre-tomato season here in Southern Illinois, so y 00:06:29.85\00:06:33.62 'all must have been busy. 00:06:33.62\00:06:34.56 And I asked, where'd you get those tomatoes? 00:06:34.86\00:06:36.86 And I'll be, if you didn't say, my group, my academy, the town 00:06:37.49\00:06:42.56 that I live in and everything, the academy there. 00:06:42.56\00:06:45.13 Harvard Hills Academy. 00:06:45.67\00:06:46.77 Harvard Hills. 00:06:46.87\00:06:50.97 wait to get home and have a tomato sandwich. 00:06:50.97\00:06:52.74 I'm with you. 00:06:53.24\00:06:53.94 I know what we're having for lunch tomorrow. 00:06:54.24\00:06:57.05 When it's tomato season, I like tomato sandwiches like every 00:06:57.58\00:07:00.55 day. 00:07:00.55\00:07:00.68 Tomato and avocado. 00:07:02.88\00:07:03.85 Well, this could be a gardening program just as easy. 00:07:03.99\00:07:06.49 You're out harvesting a different type of people that 00:07:07.02\00:07:12.66 got stories to tell and you've got stories to tell because 00:07:12.66\00:07:16.50 you're out there making things happen. 00:07:16.50\00:07:18.20 We love both of you. 00:07:18.37\00:07:19.53 Yeah. 00:07:19.53\00:07:22.64 I know that I always love to hear people's personal 00:07:22.70\00:07:25.84 testimonies and I know you do as well because it shows us how 00:07:25.84\00:07:30.05 the Lord works in our lives and brings purpose to our life. 00:07:30.05\00:07:33.48 So Steve, did you grow up in a Christian home? 00:07:33.82\00:07:36.42 Tell us your story. 00:07:36.48\00:07:37.45 I did grow up in a Christian home. 00:07:37.79\00:07:39.72 Both of my parents, my father was born as a Seventh-day 00:07:40.22\00:07:44.56 Adventist Christian. 00:07:44.56\00:07:45.46 My mother became a Seventh-day Adventist Christian when she 00:07:46.16\00:07:48.83 was about 15. 00:07:48.83\00:07:49.73 They both ended up attending a college in Tennessee that 00:07:50.20\00:07:53.97 focused on preparing missionaries. 00:07:53.97\00:07:55.90 And so they decided that they would dedicate their lives to 00:07:56.24\00:07:59.54 mission. 00:07:59.54\00:08:00.18 And so I was kind of born into that environment. 00:08:00.68\00:08:02.84 They helped to start this school where these tomatoes 00:08:03.41\00:08:05.75 came from. 00:08:05.75\00:08:06.55 They helped start that. 00:08:07.75\00:08:08.48 Wow. 00:08:08.72\00:08:12.72 grew up learning about mission and ministry from as early as I 00:08:12.72\00:08:17.36 can remember. 00:08:17.36\00:08:18.13 And boy, it took root in you. 00:08:19.63\00:08:21.33 By God's grace. 00:08:21.96\00:08:22.83 You just returned from Bolivia. 00:08:23.23\00:08:24.70 We're going to hear the stories, but you travel 00:08:24.83\00:08:27.97 probably nine months out of the year. 00:08:27.97\00:08:29.94 You're going around the world. 00:08:29.97\00:08:31.27 It's amazing how God is using Outpost Centers International. 00:08:31.74\00:08:36.91 And now, James, tell us a little bit about your 00:08:37.45\00:08:42.25 upbringing. 00:08:42.25\00:08:42.78 Yeah, mine was a little different. 00:08:43.15\00:08:44.25 I was raised to a wonderful Roman Catholic family in 00:08:44.49\00:08:47.79 Wisconsin. 00:08:47.79\00:08:48.29 I had never heard of the Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:08:49.22\00:08:51.46 before, but in my college years doing some traveling, me and my 00:08:51.46\00:08:56.40 friend got introduced to the Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:08:56.40\00:09:00.64 through a vegetarian restaurant in Basel, Switzerland. 00:09:00.64\00:09:03.17 It was called Country Life. 00:09:03.30\00:09:04.77 And in fact, it was an Outpost Center ministry. 00:09:05.04\00:09:08.04 So it's through OCI that I got introduced to Christ again, 00:09:08.44\00:09:12.75 because I had really left the Catholic Church. 00:09:12.75\00:09:15.08 I was into Eastern philosophies, meditations and a 00:09:15.28\00:09:20.72 very different lifestyle, drugs, alcohol, partying, just 00:09:20.72\00:09:24.19 traveling around. 00:09:24.19\00:09:25.26 And suddenly we meet some very godly people and I volunteered 00:09:25.46\00:09:29.86 on a farm referred to from the restaurant in Italy. 00:09:29.86\00:09:33.00 I lived three months on a family farm that were mission 00:09:33.30\00:09:36.71 -minded people and they just introduced Christ to us. 00:09:36.71\00:09:39.24 It was life-changing for me. 00:09:39.34\00:09:41.21 So I ended up getting connected with some of these other 00:09:41.58\00:09:44.51 Outpost Center ministries. 00:09:44.51\00:09:45.88 I got called down to Tennessee and I ended up volunteering on 00:09:46.11\00:09:49.15 the OCI headquarters, which had a farm at the time. 00:09:49.15\00:09:52.52 And I was just a farm help. 00:09:52.62\00:09:54.32 I showed up there with a t -shirt with skeletons on it and 00:09:54.72\00:09:57.49 long hair. 00:09:57.49\00:09:57.96 I didn't really have much of a picture of it all, but it was 00:10:00.93\00:10:06.74 life -changing for me. 00:10:06.74\00:10:07.97 So I started to read scripture there and got into the message 00:10:08.00\00:10:12.14 and gave my life to it. 00:10:12.14\00:10:13.98 So I decided to be a missionary for the rest of my life. 00:10:13.98\00:10:16.18 That was 25 years ago. 00:10:16.24\00:10:17.48 I think what it is, sometimes we focus on rules and 00:10:18.38\00:10:22.68 regulation. 00:10:22.68\00:10:23.42 What people need to find out first is if they know the heart 00:10:23.89\00:10:28.66 of God. 00:10:28.66\00:10:29.52 When you see people who are living, your faith should 00:10:29.82\00:10:35.90 result in faithful living. 00:10:35.90\00:10:37.53 And when you see that, it is a magnet, isn't it? 00:10:38.00\00:10:42.17 And then you got to know the heart of God and you couldn't 00:10:42.47\00:10:46.41 wait to serve it. 00:10:46.41\00:10:47.38 I could see Christ through the people that were witnessing to 00:10:47.68\00:10:50.21 me and that was just a huge witness to see the families, 00:10:50.21\00:10:54.35 the people that were passionate about God. 00:10:54.88\00:10:56.58 And I knew they had something that I was lacking and it just 00:10:57.05\00:11:00.42 kept me there. 00:11:00.42\00:11:00.96 So I kept volunteering. 00:11:00.99\00:11:02.06 They were patient with me. 00:11:02.19\00:11:03.19 I was a work in progress, but thankfully they didn't kick me 00:11:03.46\00:11:06.56 out. 00:11:06.56\00:11:07.03 They let me stay there. 00:11:07.13\00:11:08.00 So after nine months of studying and so forth, that's 00:11:08.26\00:11:12.00 when I joined the church and was baptized and yeah, it was 00:11:12.00\00:11:17.14 life -changing. 00:11:17.14\00:11:18.01 So I've been serving in outpost center ministries ever since 00:11:18.34\00:11:21.28 that time. 00:11:21.28\00:11:22.04 And that's over 20 years, right? 00:11:22.04\00:11:24.15 Praise the Lord. 00:11:24.28\00:11:25.35 And now tell us, outpost centers international began in 00:11:26.28\00:11:31.39 1983. 00:11:31.39\00:11:32.35 Tell us a little bit about the mission, the vision for outpost 00:11:32.85\00:11:38.06 centers. 00:11:38.06\00:11:38.56 Outpost centers international is a collection of ministries 00:11:39.33\00:11:44.53 who support the work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 00:11:44.53\00:11:48.77 helping to get the gospel to the world. 00:11:48.77\00:11:50.84 So from 1983 with a handful of ministries, we're now, like you 00:11:51.91\00:11:57.11 mentioned earlier, over 400 ministries scattered in about 00:11:57.11\00:12:00.92 87 countries. 00:12:00.92\00:12:01.95 But that's only the beginning because the reality is that 00:12:02.65\00:12:06.65 there's 235 countries and there are a number of those countries 00:12:06.65\00:12:12.19 where it is not friendly towards the gospel. 00:12:12.19\00:12:17.07 And so we believe that laypeople have a special part 00:12:17.77\00:12:22.47 to play in helping to get the gospel into some of these very 00:12:22.47\00:12:26.88 challenging areas. 00:12:26.88\00:12:27.88 There's countries of the world like Zambia where one in every 00:12:28.38\00:12:33.85 15 people is a Seventh-day Adventist. 00:12:33.85\00:12:36.99 And so that's a fairly high concentration, but there are 00:12:37.22\00:12:41.16 other countries where it's one in 20,000 or one in 40,000 or 00:12:41.16\00:12:45.56 one in 60,000. 00:12:45.56\00:12:47.13 And so those are the places we believe and other areas of the 00:12:47.56\00:12:55.07 world, even some that are not in those countries, but they're 00:12:55.07\00:13:00.08 tribal groups that have not been reached yet. 00:13:00.08\00:13:02.81 And so we just feel like laypeople have a very special 00:13:03.55\00:13:05.88 part to play in that journey. 00:13:05.88\00:13:07.52 Well, we know for certain that without laypeople the mission's 00:13:07.85\00:13:11.25 not going to be accomplished. 00:13:11.25\00:13:12.99 One other thing that I was reading, I was on the internet 00:13:13.66\00:13:18.09 researching the two of you. 00:13:18.09\00:13:20.33 And one thing that caught my attention was there are some 00:13:21.00\00:13:23.63 countries that really don't want pastors to even come into 00:13:23.63\00:13:28.34 their country. 00:13:28.34\00:13:28.94 And I like what you said, but they all, the one thing that 00:13:29.57\00:13:33.64 they all catch hold of is an educator. 00:13:33.64\00:13:35.74 And you were in education for many, many years. 00:13:36.78\00:13:40.18 And so all of a sudden, come on in, sir. 00:13:40.35\00:13:42.72 You're an educator. 00:13:42.95\00:13:43.79 You're not a pastor. 00:13:43.85\00:13:44.79 So this is kind of what I'm hearing you say. 00:13:45.19\00:13:48.06 There's a lot of countries out there that are hungry and 00:13:48.39\00:13:52.59 thirsting for Jesus, but they just haven't had the 00:13:52.59\00:13:55.40 opportunity to learn who he is yet. 00:13:55.40\00:13:57.37 Yeah. 00:13:58.00\00:13:58.03 About two years ago, I visited a country that is extremely 00:13:59.77\00:14:03.87 closed to anybody from the outside coming in. 00:14:03.87\00:14:07.24 It was really kind of a miracle that I was able to even get a 00:14:07.24\00:14:07.28 visa. 00:14:10.31\00:14:10.85 And on the application, they asked, what is your profession? 00:14:11.51\00:14:14.92 And because I'm a teacher as well, I put educator and they 00:14:15.65\00:14:20.42 gave me a visa to go to that country where if you put pastor 00:14:20.42\00:14:25.39 or missionary down, you're not going to that country. 00:14:25.39\00:14:29.06 So praise God for laypeople that can engage in that kind 00:14:29.70\00:14:34.27 of, you know, reaching into some of those territories, like 00:14:34.27\00:14:37.84 you say. 00:14:37.84\00:14:38.34 Yeah. 00:14:38.87\00:14:41.34 I mean, that's just one of those miracles that happens. 00:14:42.11\00:14:44.45 And seed yields more seed. 00:14:46.55\00:14:48.42 And there's another area that the entire world seems to be 00:14:49.02\00:14:52.89 open to, and it's the health work. 00:14:52.89\00:14:55.29 Doesn't matter how rich you are, how poor you are, what 00:14:56.36\00:15:00.40 country you live in, people have health challenges. 00:15:00.40\00:15:03.33 And so the, one of the arms of outpost centers international 00:15:04.03\00:15:09.44 that is fairly active is the health work, whether it's a 00:15:10.14\00:15:16.61 health center, a wellness center, or it may be a 00:15:16.61\00:15:20.65 vegetarian restaurant or something like that. 00:15:20.65\00:15:23.22 So we have a number of those scattered around the world, 00:15:23.55\00:15:26.02 James. 00:15:26.22\00:15:26.52 Absolutely. 00:15:26.62\00:15:27.06 Yeah. 00:15:27.12\00:15:32.46 clinics. 00:15:32.46\00:15:32.99 We have Bush clinics. 00:15:33.53\00:15:35.20 We're ministering to cities. 00:15:35.53\00:15:36.93 So OCI is a, is a network of, of church members that are 00:15:37.70\00:15:42.80 actively involved in ministry through the right arm, through 00:15:42.80\00:15:46.44 the health message, ministering as Christ ministered, helping 00:15:46.44\00:15:50.25 people's physical needs, looking to introduce the gospel 00:15:50.25\00:15:52.95 to them, showing the God also through education. 00:15:52.95\00:15:57.65 And also I would say maybe a three, a third part to this is 00:15:57.85\00:16:01.62 businesses because through, you know, lay people opening 00:16:01.62\00:16:05.69 businesses that are gospel focused, they can also be used 00:16:05.69\00:16:09.26 to enter difficult regions where like you, like you 00:16:09.26\00:16:13.13 mentioned, pastors are not so welcome or an outward gospel 00:16:13.13\00:16:17.34 method is not allowed or legal, but through health, through 00:16:17.34\00:16:22.18 education, through business, we can get inroads in some of the 00:16:22.18\00:16:25.15 most difficult countries in the world. 00:16:25.15\00:16:26.72 And you have farming and agriculture as well. 00:16:26.95\00:16:30.15 Just kind of give us some. 00:16:30.42\00:16:31.19 Well, let me mention this. 00:16:31.19\00:16:32.15 So you're bringing the two together. 00:16:32.42\00:16:33.99 You've got ministry minded people that need some 00:16:34.59\00:16:38.36 assistance over here because we're ready to go. 00:16:38.36\00:16:41.73 Well, we don't really know what to do. 00:16:42.20\00:16:44.20 And then here is OCI. 00:16:44.33\00:16:46.17 Well, we know what to do. 00:16:46.33\00:16:47.57 We need your assistance. 00:16:47.57\00:16:49.90 And so a marriage is created there. 00:16:50.34\00:16:52.51 Now is that kind of the what we're saying? 00:16:52.81\00:16:54.28 Yeah. 00:16:54.54\00:16:56.91 There are 400 ministries. 00:16:57.48\00:16:58.58 There's over 5,000 missionaries engaged with all of these 00:16:58.65\00:17:02.38 projects. 00:17:02.38\00:17:03.15 Many of them have years of experience in running academies 00:17:03.55\00:17:07.49 or running wellness centers or running language schools or 00:17:07.49\00:17:11.13 running outpost agricultural projects and centers of 00:17:11.13\00:17:15.33 influence and restaurants and health food stores in OCI. 00:17:15.33\00:17:18.63 You're going to find expertise in all those areas and joining 00:17:18.73\00:17:22.20 into the network. 00:17:22.20\00:17:23.30 You're going to get connected with so many people that will 00:17:23.47\00:17:25.54 help launch you into ministry with some experience advising 00:17:25.54\00:17:30.61 you. 00:17:30.61\00:17:31.21 And I would imagine there's people that are watching this 00:17:32.51\00:17:35.08 that probably say, honey, come here and listen to this. 00:17:35.08\00:17:37.52 This could be a way that we could join someone that could 00:17:37.95\00:17:42.52 help us go further with our ministry. 00:17:42.52\00:17:45.19 It's actually one of one of our things that we highlight often 00:17:45.89\00:17:50.87 is on our website at outpostcenters.org. 00:17:50.87\00:17:55.00 People can go there and they can find mission opportunities. 00:17:55.34\00:17:58.87 I was just talking with a ministry today and they said, 00:17:58.94\00:18:01.84 I'm so happy I'm a part of outpost centers because it's 00:18:02.11\00:18:05.98 really being helpful to me. 00:18:05.98\00:18:07.38 I post my need. 00:18:07.45\00:18:08.92 I need someone to help in agriculture. 00:18:09.08\00:18:11.09 I need a cook. 00:18:11.22\00:18:11.99 I need to come to this ministry. 00:18:12.02\00:18:14.22 And they said, they've been getting responses because 00:18:14.52\00:18:17.13 people are also looking for opportunity many times. 00:18:17.13\00:18:20.63 And so it's a huge blessing. 00:18:20.76\00:18:22.70 Now, one of the things that we feel strongly about is that 00:18:23.50\00:18:27.87 sometimes laypeople just need to know they can do something. 00:18:27.87\00:18:30.84 And so we're often sharing the stories of other laypeople who 00:18:31.51\00:18:35.51 are doing things so that as they listen to that story, they 00:18:35.51\00:18:39.28 go, ah, look, if that guy can do it, I can do it. 00:18:39.28\00:18:42.25 I can do something. 00:18:42.25\00:18:43.32 So you have conferences where you do trainings and you talk 00:18:43.52\00:18:47.56 about sharing these testimonies. 00:18:47.56\00:18:49.66 And so when people come, I loved what you said in the 00:18:50.36\00:18:54.73 green room. 00:18:54.73\00:18:58.73 that you want to get across tonight? 00:18:58.73\00:19:01.17 He said, mission, mission, mission. 00:19:01.54\00:19:04.07 And it doesn't mean that you're going to be called overseas. 00:19:04.37\00:19:07.78 You can walk. 00:19:08.18\00:19:13.42 fence. 00:19:13.42\00:19:16.38 That's your heart. 00:19:16.69\00:19:17.92 I think if we would recognize the power of working together, 00:19:18.42\00:19:25.06 sometimes we think, well, somebody else is going to do 00:19:25.06\00:19:28.83 it. 00:19:28.83\00:19:30.40 No, it's for us. 00:19:30.40\00:19:32.03 It's our opportunity. 00:19:32.20\00:19:33.60 And if all of the Christians in the world got together, it'd be 00:19:34.00\00:19:37.87 amazing. 00:19:37.87\00:19:42.48 Christians, maybe about 10, 12 million, would really go 00:19:42.48\00:19:46.28 seriously on a mission to do something for God. 00:19:46.28\00:19:49.45 Wouldn't that be amazing? 00:19:49.68\00:19:50.49 I think it would change the world. 00:19:50.49\00:19:50.52 You want to share the story about when you were 00:19:53.15\00:19:56.09 interviewing those two young ladies? 00:19:56.09\00:19:58.16 You know, as I travel, one of the things I do is I interview 00:19:59.16\00:20:04.20 people and get their story because I love to tell stories. 00:20:04.20\00:20:07.17 So I need stories and I like to hear people's stories. 00:20:07.17\00:20:10.37 So I was going to do an interview with these two young 00:20:10.41\00:20:12.84 ladies. 00:20:12.84\00:20:13.31 They're in the Philippines. 00:20:13.51\00:20:14.31 We're in the Philippines. 00:20:14.48\00:20:15.28 They've come to an OCI conference. 00:20:15.31\00:20:17.45 And so I said, I've got to get their story. 00:20:18.15\00:20:20.78 And so I said, you would be willing to be interviewed? 00:20:21.12\00:20:23.72 Oh, yes. 00:20:23.79\00:20:24.29 They said, it's fine. 00:20:24.35\00:20:25.35 And so I'm thinking, oh, this would be great. 00:20:25.35\00:20:27.96 You know, I'm going to get a story here. 00:20:28.06\00:20:29.42 And so my opening question was, I thought it was the right 00:20:29.56\00:20:32.66 question. 00:20:32.66\00:20:33.19 And I said, so I'm Steve Dickman. 00:20:33.56\00:20:36.23 I'm here in the Philippines and I'm going to talk to Felicia 00:20:36.33\00:20:38.87 and Ann, hear about their work. 00:20:38.87\00:20:40.44 Who do you work for? 00:20:41.14\00:20:42.20 And their response was amazing. 00:20:42.74\00:20:44.64 They just looked at me with this incredulous look on my 00:20:44.71\00:20:47.61 face, like, I thought you knew something. 00:20:47.61\00:20:50.01 They said, well, of course we work for God. 00:20:50.75\00:20:53.01 And that really impacted me. 00:20:53.65\00:20:54.98 I thought, you know, isn't it so true? 00:20:55.18\00:20:56.58 Sometimes we forget who we work for. 00:20:57.25\00:20:59.49 They had come on a journey to get to this OCI conference. 00:21:00.16\00:21:03.49 They had been, they had to go up in the mountains because 00:21:04.69\00:21:07.13 they're missionaries up there. 00:21:07.13\00:21:08.06 They'd gone up in the mountains. 00:21:08.13\00:21:09.36 Sometimes you hike for one full day to get up to some of these 00:21:09.80\00:21:14.20 villages where they go. 00:21:14.20\00:21:15.37 So on the way up, they had to cross a river. 00:21:15.97\00:21:18.74 Well, you think, okay, it's no big deal. 00:21:18.74\00:21:20.94 Cross the river. 00:21:21.04\00:21:24.68 So as they crossed the river, they were struggling, you know, 00:21:25.15\00:21:27.52 to get over the river. 00:21:27.52\00:21:28.48 And we're talking the water coming up probably to their 00:21:28.82\00:21:31.05 waist. 00:21:31.05\00:21:31.29 Wow. 00:21:31.29\00:21:31.82 But they're not hesitating. 00:21:31.95\00:21:32.72 They're waiting across the river. 00:21:32.75\00:21:34.02 They're going to go on their mission. 00:21:34.16\00:21:35.62 After being in the village, it was still raining. 00:21:36.49\00:21:38.89 And the people told them, do not go down there. 00:21:39.23\00:21:41.40 The river is too flooded. 00:21:41.43\00:21:42.73 And they said, no, we have to go because we're going the OCI 00:21:43.23\00:21:46.03 conference. 00:21:46.03\00:21:46.74 And so they're coming down. 00:21:47.87\00:21:49.17 They're getting close to the river. 00:21:50.34\00:21:51.71 They can, they're getting near the river and a little three 00:21:51.94\00:21:55.64 wheel, you know, the Philippines have a lot of these 00:21:55.64\00:21:57.71 little three wheel things. 00:21:57.71\00:21:58.85 It came by and there's a big old guy driving it. 00:21:59.38\00:22:02.15 And he says, where are you going? 00:22:02.25\00:22:03.75 He says, oh, we're going across the river. 00:22:04.12\00:22:05.92 He says, we'll get in. 00:22:06.15\00:22:07.06 I'll take you to the river. 00:22:07.09\00:22:08.56 And they said, oh no, we'll walk. 00:22:08.79\00:22:09.92 He says, he insisted. 00:22:10.03\00:22:11.26 He said, no, you have to get in. 00:22:11.36\00:22:12.76 So they said, okay, we got it. 00:22:13.06\00:22:14.40 They got in the back of this thing. 00:22:14.40\00:22:15.56 They rode to the river. 00:22:15.73\00:22:16.56 They get there. 00:22:17.10\00:22:17.97 And they said, well, it was raging by that time. 00:22:18.40\00:22:22.47 We would say the water was just swift and flowing. 00:22:22.50\00:22:25.44 And he says, are you going across? 00:22:25.87\00:22:27.58 And they, and they said, yes, we're going. 00:22:28.08\00:22:29.71 And he says, well, you must go with me. 00:22:30.15\00:22:31.85 And so they got like behind him and he said, no, you have to 00:22:32.95\00:22:37.49 hold onto me. 00:22:37.49\00:22:38.42 And so he helped them across the river. 00:22:38.62\00:22:41.19 You know, when they got to the convention and they shared a 00:22:41.42\00:22:45.09 little bit of how they had gotten there, I was just 00:22:45.09\00:22:48.23 thinking, these are the two ladies that said, we're working 00:22:48.23\00:22:52.43 for God. 00:22:52.43\00:22:52.97 You know, God was watching out for them. 00:22:53.37\00:22:55.14 That guy that came by wasn't an accident. 00:22:55.67\00:22:57.67 I don't know, angels have interesting jobs sometimes. 00:22:58.37\00:23:00.94 I don't know if he was an angel or not, but I can tell you that 00:23:01.08\00:23:05.41 when they told me about their journey to get there, I 00:23:05.41\00:23:08.82 recognize if we're truly working for God, what do we 00:23:08.82\00:23:11.95 have to worry about? 00:23:11.95\00:23:12.82 The river may be deep. 00:23:13.46\00:23:14.72 The mountain may be high, but we're working for God. 00:23:15.39\00:23:19.79 And we're sitting here complaining because the airline 00:23:21.06\00:23:24.17 seat is not comfortable. 00:23:24.17\00:23:25.40 I get stuck in the middle here. 00:23:25.47\00:23:27.10 Lord, where are you? 00:23:27.60\00:23:28.94 And here's these precious ladies here. 00:23:29.04\00:23:30.84 I mean, wow. 00:23:31.04\00:23:32.27 That concept is that if every ministry, if every person had 00:23:32.27\00:23:39.38 that attitude, we are working for God. 00:23:39.38\00:23:42.08 There would be the unity that Jesus prayed for. 00:23:42.35\00:23:45.22 You know, we would, we got to hold on to one another and lift 00:23:45.69\00:23:51.83 him high. 00:23:51.83\00:23:52.49 And I love that. 00:23:52.53\00:23:53.56 That's beautiful. 00:23:53.63\00:23:54.40 Yeah. 00:23:54.76\00:23:58.60 said. 00:23:58.60\00:24:02.74 me that I don't always act like I'm working for God. 00:24:02.74\00:24:06.64 He says, you know, Isaiah 43 says, I know your name. 00:24:07.58\00:24:11.81 He says, when you pass through the waters, I will be with you. 00:24:12.91\00:24:16.32 Yep. 00:24:17.25\00:24:20.42 So if we're working for the king, we have special 00:24:21.39\00:24:28.40 privileges. 00:24:28.40\00:24:29.20 Amen. 00:24:29.46\00:24:29.63 Amen. 00:24:30.47\00:24:30.93 Amen. 00:24:31.10\00:24:31.43 It's well put. 00:24:31.80\00:24:32.60 So James, do you travel? 00:24:34.14\00:24:35.94 You don't travel quite as much. 00:24:36.10\00:24:37.94 I don't travel quite as much as Steve, but not many people do. 00:24:38.04\00:24:41.21 He's on the move all the time. 00:24:41.44\00:24:43.98 It's amazing from one place to another, which I really 00:24:44.08\00:24:46.58 appreciate because I can't, I don't want to travel as much 00:24:46.58\00:24:49.85 because I have a young family. 00:24:49.85\00:24:51.12 I've got a seven and a nine year old daughters, my wife. 00:24:51.25\00:24:54.26 So I travel a bit. 00:24:54.49\00:24:56.02 Yeah. 00:24:56.09\00:24:57.96 I was in Brazil, but there I sometimes I bring my family. 00:24:57.96\00:25:01.03 My wife is Brazilian, so that works out really good. 00:25:01.23\00:25:03.77 We had, we went to an OCI convention in Brazil, which was 00:25:04.27\00:25:07.14 really a blessing and traveled around to visit different 00:25:07.14\00:25:10.24 ministries. 00:25:10.24\00:25:10.84 There's 18 ministries now in Brazil. 00:25:11.11\00:25:13.24 It's a really growing territory, several new 00:25:13.44\00:25:16.48 projects, wellness centers, evangelistic projects, and so 00:25:16.48\00:25:20.52 forth. 00:25:20.52\00:25:20.82 And it was great. 00:25:21.48\00:25:22.65 I get to teach classes as I travel around to them. 00:25:22.65\00:25:25.09 And at one of them, maybe just a short story, I met a young 00:25:26.25\00:25:29.89 man. 00:25:29.89\00:25:33.70 clinic and some health work. 00:25:33.70\00:25:34.63 He was large. 00:25:35.56\00:25:36.67 And so I thought, oh, he must be a lifestyle guest. 00:25:37.27\00:25:39.00 But then in the afternoon, I was teaching a class and he was 00:25:39.13\00:25:41.90 sitting in the front row. 00:25:41.90\00:25:42.64 I said, oh, you're a student. 00:25:42.80\00:25:44.11 He said, yeah. 00:25:44.11\00:25:45.14 I said, how long you been here? 00:25:45.14\00:25:46.14 Six months. 00:25:46.14\00:25:46.84 And he says, yeah, this place has helped me a lot. 00:25:47.51\00:25:50.45 I've lost a hundred pounds. 00:25:50.81\00:25:52.38 Wow. 00:25:52.98\00:25:53.25 He was 400 pounds when he came to the Institute. 00:25:54.05\00:25:58.02 Some missionary found out about him. 00:25:59.05\00:26:01.46 He was at his very end. 00:26:01.56\00:26:02.82 He was suicidal. 00:26:02.86\00:26:03.66 He was thinking of ending his life. 00:26:03.73\00:26:05.39 He was wrapped up in, yeah, spiritualism and kind of some 00:26:05.86\00:26:11.10 demonic stuff. 00:26:11.10\00:26:12.00 And his life was falling apart. 00:26:12.97\00:26:14.40 He was out of control. 00:26:14.44\00:26:15.47 His health was out of control. 00:26:15.54\00:26:16.77 He got brought to this outpost center property. 00:26:17.07\00:26:20.38 And that's where our name comes from. 00:26:20.38\00:26:21.78 It's a, you know, not all of our places are in the country. 00:26:22.01\00:26:24.91 Some are in the city, but a lot of them are these outpost 00:26:25.38\00:26:28.25 centers that the name comes from a ministry that's just 00:26:28.25\00:26:31.05 outside the city. 00:26:31.05\00:26:32.09 So it can be a nice, natural, healing environment for 00:26:32.22\00:26:35.66 education, for healing and so forth and nice country living. 00:26:35.66\00:26:39.93 So he got brought out there and they said, well, what can you 00:26:40.46\00:26:43.60 do? 00:26:43.60\00:26:46.17 He could work 10 minutes and he was done. 00:26:46.27\00:26:48.97 Okay. 00:26:49.34\00:26:49.74 His heart was beating. 00:26:49.90\00:26:51.11 He was out of breath and he had all kinds of health problems. 00:26:51.11\00:26:54.14 But over several months he began, his life began to 00:26:54.24\00:26:58.41 change. 00:26:58.41\00:27:00.92 And when I saw him, you know, I realized this, this man or this 00:27:01.35\00:27:04.95 young man, he was probably only about 22 years old. 00:27:04.95\00:27:07.59 His whole life had changed. 00:27:07.59\00:27:08.96 Yeah. 00:27:09.19\00:27:12.53 100 pound difference. 00:27:12.63\00:27:13.66 And he was on a path. 00:27:13.70\00:27:14.86 He says, I'm working on the farm all day long. 00:27:14.86\00:27:17.40 I'm full of energy. 00:27:17.63\00:27:18.77 I'm strong. 00:27:19.13\00:27:19.63 I'm healthy. 00:27:19.77\00:27:21.97 I just got baptized. 00:27:22.04\00:27:23.14 I gave my life to God. 00:27:23.34\00:27:24.47 These people here at this, at this ministry here have 00:27:24.47\00:27:28.08 completely changed my life. 00:27:28.08\00:27:29.84 It really blew me away. 00:27:30.38\00:27:31.78 And in the classroom, he was the most inquisitive, asking 00:27:31.78\00:27:31.81 all kinds of questions. 00:27:34.52\00:27:35.48 He said, I want to serve God the rest of my life and I want 00:27:35.75\00:27:38.59 to help out these different ministries. 00:27:38.59\00:27:40.36 So yeah, he's very excited. 00:27:40.66\00:27:42.62 I could see it in his life. 00:27:42.62\00:27:43.93 He was a living testimony of the kind of change lives that 00:27:43.93\00:27:43.96 can happen through these, through these outpost 00:27:47.66\00:27:50.60 ministries. 00:27:50.60\00:27:51.17 Yeah. 00:27:51.37\00:27:55.24 about the outpost centers international, I always hear 00:27:55.24\00:28:01.14 that they're using Christ's method. 00:28:01.14\00:28:03.51 They're reaching out the love of Christ, the healing, the, 00:28:03.85\00:28:08.68 the personal interest. 00:28:08.68\00:28:10.19 And like I said, if that's, that is something that if you 00:28:10.35\00:28:15.59 come at people just with rules and regulations, religion, you 00:28:15.59\00:28:20.66 know, it's got to be relationship. 00:28:20.66\00:28:22.20 They have to have a relationship with the Lord. 00:28:22.43\00:28:24.73 And when he saw their love and he started understanding God's 00:28:25.53\00:28:29.10 heart, he gave God his heart. 00:28:29.10\00:28:31.14 They didn't judge him how he looked, where he came from. 00:28:31.27\00:28:34.18 He was a mess. 00:28:34.21\00:28:34.98 They opened up their doors, even though he, there was 00:28:35.58\00:28:37.55 nothing he could do to help them in the beginning. 00:28:37.55\00:28:39.35 But now actually they've got a strong helper around there and 00:28:39.51\00:28:43.15 he's motivating others. 00:28:43.15\00:28:44.42 And yeah. 00:28:45.32\00:28:46.19 So the, the people that the personal contact is so 00:28:46.42\00:28:49.39 important and yeah. 00:28:49.39\00:28:51.63 So it's exciting to be a part of, to see ministries like this 00:28:51.66\00:28:54.63 making such impact. 00:28:54.63\00:28:56.00 Yeah. 00:28:56.46\00:28:59.20 Three, this is the notes that I have. 00:28:59.50\00:29:01.74 So I'm in the ballpark. 00:29:01.80\00:29:02.90 I don't know, just have 368 ministries. 00:29:03.10\00:29:08.21 That's about 400. 00:29:08.64\00:29:09.61 400. 00:29:09.94\00:29:14.35 a pretty rapid rate. 00:29:14.35\00:29:15.28 Let's put that graphic up because this is impressive what 00:29:15.62\00:29:19.85 the Lord is doing. 00:29:19.85\00:29:21.09 Remember this is the mission is to have a thriving network and 00:29:21.46\00:29:25.83 we're going to talk about why people join because they get 00:29:25.83\00:29:29.16 all of this support. 00:29:29.16\00:29:30.13 But look at the growth since they began in 1981 and look at 00:29:30.50\00:29:36.94 this explosive growth that you've been through the last 00:29:36.94\00:29:40.94 couple of years. 00:29:40.94\00:29:41.84 It's amazing. 00:29:42.01\00:29:43.08 Well, what I was thinking about was there's 365 days in a year. 00:29:43.81\00:29:47.32 Is that right? 00:29:47.42\00:29:48.12 I think so. 00:29:48.15\00:29:49.15 Yeah. 00:29:49.15\00:29:49.68 And I saw the 368 that just jumped up to 400. 00:29:50.19\00:29:53.22 Yeah. 00:29:53.32\00:29:53.66 My goodness. 00:29:53.96\00:29:54.86 That's, that's seeing someone every one in that one and a 00:29:55.19\00:29:58.46 third every day. 00:29:58.46\00:29:59.86 Yeah. 00:29:59.96\00:30:03.40 This is amazing. 00:30:03.93\00:30:05.33 This is amazing. 00:30:05.73\00:30:06.90 Yeah. 00:30:07.40\00:30:11.64 James, maybe you could say just talk about this team that we're 00:30:11.84\00:30:15.31 developing that supports the ministries. 00:30:15.31\00:30:17.61 Yeah. 00:30:17.88\00:30:20.98 ministries that we're starting. 00:30:20.98\00:30:22.15 Steve and I are not out there starting. 00:30:22.48\00:30:24.02 No, I understand that they're, they're getting drawn in and 00:30:24.62\00:30:27.42 they're exactly what we see with part of that I feel like 00:30:27.42\00:30:32.23 God, the Holy Spirit is being poured out on people around the 00:30:32.23\00:30:35.43 world and they're getting engaged in ministry. 00:30:35.43\00:30:37.20 Amen. 00:30:37.83\00:30:39.33 Could I ask you this? 00:30:39.33\00:30:40.54 Yeah, sure. 00:30:40.54\00:30:40.77 Sure. 00:30:41.04\00:30:46.17 decided to start this ministry and we're doing this and maybe 00:30:46.17\00:30:49.31 we haven't become a 501C3. 00:30:49.31\00:30:52.01 Right. 00:30:52.01\00:30:52.05 mean, I know, but explain to our viewers why people want to 00:30:57.69\00:31:02.79 become part of OCI, what you're offering. 00:31:02.79\00:31:05.39 Yeah. 00:31:05.86\00:31:09.53 are engaged in ministry. 00:31:09.53\00:31:11.47 Right. 00:31:11.60\00:31:15.74 We'll help promote your ministry. 00:31:15.90\00:31:17.21 Then we have tools on our website where you could do 00:31:17.57\00:31:19.81 fundraising through our ministry because you may not 00:31:19.81\00:31:21.88 have your 501C3 set up, but if you're doing gospel work, you 00:31:21.88\00:31:27.48 could be raising money through OCI. 00:31:27.48\00:31:29.32 So we have a vetting process to accept members. 00:31:29.62\00:31:31.69 And if they're doing work similar to our charter, they 00:31:32.45\00:31:35.49 can join in, they can fundraise, they can launch 00:31:35.49\00:31:37.66 fundraising projects on our website. 00:31:37.66\00:31:39.23 They can get connected and finding helpers and staff. 00:31:39.53\00:31:42.26 They can promote, then they can come to our conventions, 00:31:42.36\00:31:45.07 network with, find out about the ministries. 00:31:45.53\00:31:48.27 And it's really neat because OCI is kind of a connecting 00:31:48.60\00:31:50.81 glue between ministries. 00:31:50.81\00:31:52.34 And there's a lot of collaboration that happens 00:31:52.67\00:31:54.61 because one place might be training people, the other one 00:31:54.61\00:31:57.25 is hiring them, you know, and there's a lot of give and take 00:31:57.25\00:32:00.98 between the ministries. 00:32:00.98\00:32:02.02 So when you're in, when you're in that network, you know, 00:32:02.28\00:32:05.12 there's a lot of, you know, connections that happen that 00:32:05.12\00:32:09.12 that's, that wouldn't be so easy if OCI wasn't there making 00:32:09.12\00:32:13.16 these, getting these ministries connected with each other. 00:32:13.16\00:32:16.00 So are you teaching them about like, if say someone is going 00:32:16.00\00:32:20.40 overseas, are you teaching them a culture, the language? 00:32:20.40\00:32:24.61 What? 00:32:25.01\00:32:25.14 Yeah, there's a variety of things. 00:32:25.84\00:32:27.21 Now, some of them are already there. 00:32:27.88\00:32:30.05 They're from that place. 00:32:30.05\00:32:31.75 What they need is what's the bar for good practice on how 00:32:32.05\00:32:37.19 you do governance? 00:32:37.19\00:32:38.49 How can we do better fundraising to enhance the work 00:32:39.25\00:32:44.19 we can do with our project? 00:32:44.19\00:32:45.56 How can we really build a team? 00:32:46.09\00:32:47.86 What does that look like? 00:32:48.13\00:32:49.43 Because we're growing and we need more people, but we don't 00:32:49.53\00:32:52.87 know how to do this. 00:32:52.87\00:32:53.67 So sometimes it's that. 00:32:53.74\00:32:55.10 And it's a big, and, and one of my joys is attending these 00:32:56.47\00:33:01.64 events that are planned mostly by our field team. 00:33:01.64\00:33:04.81 But when I go, I see these ministries because ministry on 00:33:05.05\00:33:08.98 the front lines is often lonely. 00:33:08.98\00:33:10.95 You feel like you're there by yourself. 00:33:11.72\00:33:13.52 You're the only one facing these problems. 00:33:13.92\00:33:15.89 Everybody else has an easy life, you think. 00:33:16.09\00:33:18.06 But when you get together with the other ministries and talk 00:33:18.59\00:33:21.83 to their leaders, you find out it's not true. 00:33:21.83\00:33:24.07 Everybody has the same problems, similar problems, 00:33:24.40\00:33:27.47 I'll say. 00:33:27.47\00:33:28.10 And as I see them talking together, praying together, 00:33:28.94\00:33:33.21 encouraging each other and walking away just really feel 00:33:33.21\00:33:39.15 like they can go back now and they can do something more. 00:33:39.15\00:33:43.39 It really blesses me to see that happen. 00:33:44.52\00:33:47.46 So OCI plays a role. 00:33:48.32\00:33:49.86 James called it kind of like a family, a network. 00:33:50.33\00:33:52.86 And that's so true because many times that's what they're 00:33:52.93\00:33:56.26 needing more than anything else. 00:33:56.26\00:33:58.67 But the other areas are important They need 00:33:58.77\00:34:01.60 encouragement. 00:34:01.60\00:34:02.10 And we have prayer chains and these are different languages. 00:34:02.97\00:34:06.27 Not everybody's speaking English. 00:34:06.44\00:34:07.58 So in Brazil, there's a community of these 18 00:34:07.64\00:34:10.11 ministries that are all texting each other on WhatsApp, praying 00:34:10.11\00:34:14.08 for one another, and they try to meet each other's needs. 00:34:14.08\00:34:16.65 They're working together, supporting one another. 00:34:17.02\00:34:18.92 That's extremely meaningful. 00:34:19.22\00:34:20.86 This is what I read about OCI. 00:34:21.22\00:34:25.13 Join the family. 00:34:26.06\00:34:27.23 Why? 00:34:28.43\00:34:28.90 There are seven reasons. 00:34:30.30\00:34:31.60 Spiritual competence, like -mindedness. 00:34:32.80\00:34:35.87 We've talked about that. 00:34:35.87\00:34:37.34 Someone to consult with. 00:34:37.87\00:34:39.51 They can talk to. 00:34:39.97\00:34:41.21 Hey, I'm experiencing this. 00:34:41.38\00:34:43.14 Networking and synergy. 00:34:43.95\00:34:46.05 Financial services. 00:34:47.88\00:34:49.22 It's a very important part of it. 00:34:50.82\00:34:52.09 No, certainly. 00:34:52.09\00:34:52.75 Try to start anything without finances and you'll find out 00:34:54.29\00:34:58.09 real quick how important they are. 00:34:58.09\00:34:59.73 Media service. 00:35:00.36\00:35:01.30 Global exposure. 00:35:02.00\00:35:03.67 Not just talking about 20 miles from home. 00:35:04.30\00:35:06.74 Global. 00:35:07.40\00:35:07.84 Number six, important, training. 00:35:08.74\00:35:10.77 They'll give you some tools to train. 00:35:11.44\00:35:13.11 So we've got a toolbox here. 00:35:13.27\00:35:14.64 Now it's getting full. 00:35:14.68\00:35:15.78 And number seven, strategic development. 00:35:16.58\00:35:19.51 What a business plan that is. 00:35:20.62\00:35:22.62 I mean, all I know is that I love Jesus and I have a heart 00:35:23.65\00:35:28.06 for him and I want to get out there and I want to call on 00:35:28.06\00:35:30.69 everybody. 00:35:30.69\00:35:31.29 Hey, young man, I think that we can help each other. 00:35:32.33\00:35:35.76 And I mean, here the simplicity is we can consult with you. 00:35:37.07\00:35:41.44 We can network with you. 00:35:41.44\00:35:42.70 We can help you connect the dots financially. 00:35:42.84\00:35:46.31 You want some global exposure. 00:35:47.24\00:35:49.28 We've got global exposure. 00:35:49.98\00:35:51.68 OCI. 00:35:52.18\00:35:52.95 We've been where you were 40 years ago. 00:35:53.58\00:35:56.32 Okay. 00:35:57.09\00:35:57.12 And so training. 00:35:57.72\00:35:58.55 So what are we looking for? 00:35:58.82\00:36:01.56 Someone that's like-minded. 00:36:01.86\00:36:03.16 Someone that's mission driven and someone that is committed. 00:36:03.96\00:36:08.66 But with all of these services, all these advantages, how do we 00:36:09.60\00:36:14.00 provide that for 400 ministries in 87 different countries? 00:36:14.00\00:36:17.44 How do you do that? 00:36:17.64\00:36:18.67 So we have a leadership team of experienced people. 00:36:18.67\00:36:18.71 People who have been in ministry a long time and have 00:36:22.74\00:36:24.78 experience in different areas. 00:36:24.78\00:36:26.21 Speak different languages. 00:36:26.82\00:36:27.68 Yeah, they speak different languages. 00:36:27.88\00:36:29.12 And maybe we could pull up even the picture. 00:36:29.32\00:36:30.85 This is just a couple of slides of our international leadership 00:36:31.05\00:36:34.72 team. 00:36:34.72\00:36:38.66 We have a field vice president for every division of the world 00:36:38.79\00:36:42.20 church and also regional directors for different 00:36:42.20\00:36:46.40 countries. 00:36:46.40\00:36:47.17 And so these people here are experienced. 00:36:47.67\00:36:49.94 They are local. 00:36:50.51\00:36:51.44 They go come visit your ministry. 00:36:51.71\00:36:53.17 They will give counsel. 00:36:53.71\00:36:55.34 They will help with strategic planning. 00:36:55.74\00:36:57.35 We're providing leadership training. 00:36:57.98\00:36:59.55 We're explaining how to use the website and how to get more of 00:37:00.12\00:37:04.35 the benefits of OCI. 00:37:04.35\00:37:05.49 They're promoting the conventions. 00:37:06.39\00:37:07.66 They're organizing the conventions. 00:37:07.76\00:37:09.12 Steve and I sometimes are flying around attending the 00:37:09.82\00:37:12.89 conventions, but there's teams in all these countries in 00:37:12.89\00:37:15.63 Chile, in Colombia, in the Philippines, in India. 00:37:15.63\00:37:18.93 They're organizing these lay missions conventions, drawing 00:37:19.17\00:37:24.67 in not only the ministries, but any interested church members 00:37:24.67\00:37:28.14 that want to get leaders, pastors will come. 00:37:28.14\00:37:31.28 And so it's the field team that's really causing the 00:37:32.18\00:37:35.65 growth, helping us to achieve what we really want to do. 00:37:35.65\00:37:39.45 We're just trying from the office to organize it, get the 00:37:40.56\00:37:43.66 tools in place. 00:37:43.66\00:37:44.56 Which is much needed because there has to be leadership. 00:37:45.69\00:37:48.33 But all I'm saying is that Shully and I, we just want 00:37:48.83\00:37:51.70 somebody that will listen to us. 00:37:51.70\00:37:53.60 That's where it comes down to. 00:37:54.97\00:37:57.41 Gotta connect all these dots. 00:37:59.21\00:38:01.01 But now let me ask you a question because you mentioned 00:38:01.54\00:38:04.85 that there's now 405 ministries and it's just growing so 00:38:04.85\00:38:08.98 quickly. 00:38:08.98\00:38:13.22 But you mentioned that there's over 5,000 workers. 00:38:13.96\00:38:18.73 Talk to us about the workers. 00:38:18.99\00:38:20.33 So we don't keep an exact track of this, but with all these, 00:38:20.33\00:38:24.87 like at Harvard Hills Academy, we have there serving, we 00:38:25.23\00:38:30.17 probably have 50, 60 staff members total. 00:38:30.17\00:38:32.77 So you take 400 ministries and start looking at the numbers 00:38:33.64\00:38:39.71 there. 00:38:39.71\00:38:40.42 Some of them just have maybe two or three staff that are 00:38:40.92\00:38:44.12 serving. 00:38:44.12\00:38:49.32 center, a wellness center, a school, an orphanage. 00:38:49.32\00:38:52.26 So you add all those up, I'm quite sure we're over 5,000 00:38:52.76\00:38:56.56 missionaries serving globally in these places. 00:38:56.56\00:39:00.47 And the interesting thing is we have a sincere, studied, 00:39:01.00\00:39:06.44 carefully planned desire to work very closely with the 00:39:07.14\00:39:10.98 pastors and church administrators of the Seventh 00:39:10.98\00:39:13.31 -day Adventist Church. 00:39:13.31\00:39:13.98 We want to work hand in hand. 00:39:15.38\00:39:17.09 We want to be there to partner with them. 00:39:17.59\00:39:19.45 We want to know that we are praying for their field and 00:39:19.69\00:39:24.73 have workers in their field helping to get the gospel to 00:39:24.73\00:39:29.20 that part of the world. 00:39:29.20\00:39:30.50 So we work very closely with them and we encourage them to 00:39:30.83\00:39:34.60 work very closely with each other so that we're not in 00:39:34.60\00:39:38.44 competition. 00:39:38.44\00:39:38.94 Competition is like, I can do better than you, but 00:39:39.74\00:39:43.41 cooperation and working together is so much better. 00:39:43.41\00:39:49.12 Amen. 00:39:49.38\00:39:53.02 church and with each other. 00:39:53.02\00:39:55.42 And it's a powerful, powerful synergy that comes together as 00:39:55.69\00:40:02.13 they experience working closer and as they experience working 00:40:02.13\00:40:09.50 closely with the church as well. 00:40:09.50\00:40:12.07 So there are numerous opportunities for us to work 00:40:12.51\00:40:17.15 more closely with the church. 00:40:17.15\00:40:18.68 And a lot of these places where it's very challenging or 00:40:19.08\00:40:21.68 difficult are the specialty for lay people. 00:40:21.68\00:40:25.72 So we just, when we see that, it encourages us. 00:40:25.82\00:40:29.42 And you know what is exciting to me is, I want to be sure 00:40:29.42\00:40:33.86 that we put up your, in case somebody can't join us during 00:40:33.86\00:40:37.63 the second hour, you may be watching right now and say, you 00:40:37.63\00:40:41.67 know, I feel like God's asking me to do something more. 00:40:41.67\00:40:46.34 You have volunteers as well, but you can go to the Outpost 00:40:47.31\00:40:52.95 Centers. 00:40:52.95\00:40:53.88 I'm looking for 00:40:54.08\00:40:55.22 your...outpostcenters.org. 00:40:58.45\00:40:59.95 And if you're looking for just maybe instead of starting a 00:41:00.82\00:41:05.06 ministry, joining a ministry, a job position all around the 00:41:05.06\00:41:10.10 world, you can see all of these. 00:41:10.10\00:41:12.77 And that's a great service that you can post these for your 00:41:12.80\00:41:17.34 ministry. 00:41:17.34\00:41:17.74 What a support. 00:41:18.01\00:41:18.94 But do people also just go and volunteer sometimes? 00:41:19.74\00:41:24.58 So there's volunteer opportunities as well. 00:41:25.78\00:41:28.45 And that's really an ideal situation for a ministry. 00:41:28.95\00:41:33.12 Maybe a person has decided to take a couple of years off from 00:41:33.72\00:41:37.39 their normal or regular employment and they want to go 00:41:37.39\00:41:40.16 do something globally, but they want to do something useful. 00:41:40.16\00:41:43.30 They have a skill. 00:41:43.73\00:41:44.63 Let's say they're a nurse. 00:41:44.73\00:41:45.67 Well, there's plenty of opportunity for you. 00:41:45.80\00:41:47.74 Let's say they're an ministries are always needing people to 00:41:48.04\00:41:51.57 help keep the book straight. 00:41:51.57\00:41:52.97 So there's many, many opportunities globally to go 00:41:53.07\00:41:56.34 and serve. 00:41:56.34\00:41:57.11 Or maybe you've retired and you say, I don't want to just sit 00:41:57.58\00:42:00.18 at home. 00:42:00.18\00:42:00.62 I want to do something. 00:42:00.85\00:42:02.08 I want to be actively involved for God. 00:42:02.28\00:42:04.55 Well, there's opportunities for you. 00:42:04.85\00:42:06.62 And there's some new features on our website. 00:42:07.12\00:42:09.12 So if you go to the website, you'll find a link there on job 00:42:09.29\00:42:12.66 opportunities and you'll see dozens of mission opportunities 00:42:12.66\00:42:16.63 that you can scroll through and get connected with the 00:42:16.63\00:42:19.00 ministry. 00:42:19.00\00:42:22.60 profile. 00:42:22.60\00:42:23.07 So anyone that's listening to this program here, you could go 00:42:24.07\00:42:27.11 to our website, outpostcenters .org, sign up as an individual, 00:42:27.11\00:42:31.08 a personal account, and you can make yourself available if 00:42:31.18\00:42:34.38 you're interested in short-term missions or long-term missions. 00:42:34.38\00:42:37.19 Oh, how exciting. 00:42:37.32\00:42:38.42 You can put down your languages, what country you're 00:42:38.45\00:42:40.12 from, what kind of work you like to do. 00:42:40.12\00:42:42.02 And our ministries will go on and they'll search out, if 00:42:42.29\00:42:45.76 they're looking for a teacher, they can search for teachers 00:42:45.76\00:42:48.00 and all the teachers will line up. 00:42:48.00\00:42:49.30 If you're looking for someone that speaks Spanish, someone 00:42:49.60\00:42:51.57 that speaks Portuguese, you can find those. 00:42:51.57\00:42:53.50 So our website is a hub for connecting people to get 00:42:54.34\00:42:59.11 engaged in missions. 00:42:59.11\00:43:00.38 And let's put that up one more time. 00:43:00.64\00:43:02.68 Outpostcenters.org. 00:43:04.45\00:43:06.18 And just let me hear again. 00:43:07.08\00:43:09.12 I was reading this and you just beat me to it. 00:43:09.72\00:43:12.52 These are opportunities that I looked up today. 00:43:12.69\00:43:15.62 So please listen, people, because there's people out 00:43:16.26\00:43:18.83 there that want to do something. 00:43:18.83\00:43:20.70 Music, caretakers, cooks, health food, massage, chefs, 00:43:21.33\00:43:25.60 lifestyle physicians, therapists, translators, 00:43:26.10\00:43:29.60 editors, gardeners, farmers, horticulture, construction, 00:43:29.87\00:43:34.31 project managers, graphic design, fundraising, RNs, 00:43:35.04\00:43:38.45 carpenters, development directors, biblical ministries, 00:43:38.68\00:43:41.15 accountants, and much, much more that I'll shut up. 00:43:41.38\00:43:44.09 I'm just saying that there is something for everybody. 00:43:45.22\00:43:52.96 These are positions that's open with those 400. 00:43:53.83\00:43:57.07 I mean, this is amazing. 00:43:57.33\00:43:59.27 Practical things need to be done at this project. 00:43:59.57\00:44:01.74 There's someone who needs it for accounting. 00:44:01.97\00:44:03.34 There's someone for sales, for patient care work, for 00:44:03.61\00:44:06.88 education, for farming, construction, Bible teaching, 00:44:06.88\00:44:11.65 speaking. 00:44:11.91\00:44:14.18 So this is how everyone can get involved. 00:44:14.75\00:44:17.35 Well, and I love the fact that you're working, if there is a 00:44:18.15\00:44:21.96 Semite Adventist Church in the local field, you're working 00:44:21.96\00:44:25.26 with them in cooperation. 00:44:25.26\00:44:27.30 And I love the fact that this is something that people can, 00:44:27.30\00:44:32.43 maybe you're thinking about starting a ministry and you 00:44:33.70\00:44:37.34 just want to know what it would be like. 00:44:37.34\00:44:38.87 You can go volunteer at an outpost center. 00:44:39.37\00:44:46.18 No, I'm thinking of centers of influence. 00:44:48.28\00:44:50.79 I know a lot of people that, I won't mention a name, but you 00:44:51.12\00:44:56.79 would know it. 00:44:56.79\00:44:57.86 And she has the center of influence and she teaches 00:44:57.93\00:45:01.30 English in an Arabic speaking country. 00:45:01.30\00:45:06.13 And it's, I think it is not, I think it is prohibited. 00:45:08.17\00:45:13.98 Well, I know it is prohibited from sharing the gospel, but 00:45:14.18\00:45:17.45 guess what? 00:45:17.45\00:45:18.11 She doesn't even have to try. 00:45:18.78\00:45:20.05 They just know something's different about her. 00:45:20.12\00:45:22.38 And as she's teaching English, they're asking questions and 00:45:22.38\00:45:27.42 God is moving. 00:45:27.42\00:45:28.46 So you're working whether you're being a farmer or 00:45:28.86\00:45:32.09 masseuse, you're working for God. 00:45:32.09\00:45:34.73 Just like those little precious Filipino sisters said. 00:45:34.76\00:45:38.43 Now, I want to share a couple of things with you because 00:45:38.47\00:45:41.17 sometimes we as people use excuses. 00:45:41.17\00:45:45.17 Well, I'm too young. 00:45:46.01\00:45:47.51 I'm too old. 00:45:48.11\00:45:49.24 I don't have the money or for various reasons, we think we 00:45:49.98\00:45:54.88 cannot be used by God. 00:45:54.88\00:45:56.58 I want to share a story with, I just came recently from the 00:45:57.52\00:46:01.72 country of Nigeria. 00:46:01.72\00:46:02.79 When we arrived in that country, we went on a journey 00:46:03.56\00:46:07.60 to the North, to the little, not little, to the city, major 00:46:07.60\00:46:11.57 city in the North called Joss. 00:46:11.57\00:46:13.64 They said, there is a center of influence here. 00:46:15.00\00:46:18.41 And I said, well, I want to see that center of influence. 00:46:18.67\00:46:21.08 And they took us to this little which was a vegetarian 00:46:21.71\00:46:26.11 restaurant. 00:46:26.11\00:46:26.98 And they had a few items on the shelf for sale. 00:46:27.32\00:46:30.35 And I talked there with Sarah. 00:46:31.02\00:46:32.72 I said, Sarah, how did you get started with this? 00:46:33.76\00:46:37.13 She said, well, I didn't know what to do. 00:46:37.76\00:46:41.26 I didn't have anything. 00:46:41.73\00:46:43.26 I had no idea. 00:46:44.03\00:46:45.60 But God was convicting me, encouraged me that I should do 00:46:45.87\00:46:49.84 something. 00:46:49.84\00:46:50.31 And she said, I figured out that I could make bread. 00:46:51.34\00:46:54.78 And so she started making bread and just making it available to 00:46:56.01\00:47:00.62 people. 00:47:00.62\00:47:07.96 working in the community, supplying food to those who 00:47:07.96\00:47:12.09 need it very desperately and homeless people on the street, 00:47:12.09\00:47:17.57 ministering to them, selling some of her products there in 00:47:17.57\00:47:21.80 her little store. 00:47:21.80\00:47:22.74 And she had such a joy on her face, such a smile, just to be 00:47:23.47\00:47:29.68 able to serve, just to have something to do for God. 00:47:29.68\00:47:32.98 So God doesn't need what we think he needs sometimes. 00:47:33.42\00:47:38.05 What he needs is our availability, our willingness 00:47:38.42\00:47:41.49 to do something for him. 00:47:41.49\00:47:42.96 And, you know, what I always think of that I love the 00:47:42.96\00:47:47.00 scripture that he uses the foolish things of this world to 00:47:47.00\00:47:50.27 found the wise. 00:47:50.27\00:47:51.07 He uses the weak things of this world. 00:47:51.47\00:47:54.67 Sometimes I ask myself, who am I that God would have tapped me 00:47:56.10\00:48:00.48 on the shoulder to bring me here? 00:48:00.48\00:48:02.04 It's so amazing. 00:48:02.58\00:48:04.55 And what Sarah is experiencing, when you're working for God, 00:48:05.95\00:48:10.25 there is nothing better than waking up in the morning with 00:48:10.35\00:48:15.36 the purpose of bringing glory to God, of the purpose of 00:48:15.36\00:48:20.40 introducing others to his love and his plan of salvation. 00:48:20.40\00:48:26.63 That's right. 00:48:26.80\00:48:27.57 It's wonderful. 00:48:27.70\00:48:28.44 So we want to put this up one more time. 00:48:28.94\00:48:31.61 We still have a few minutes. 00:48:32.44\00:48:33.74 I just want to get it up here because I just know somebody at 00:48:33.78\00:48:36.98 home is saying, you know, God's just been tugging at my heart 00:48:36.98\00:48:40.88 and wanting me to do something. 00:48:40.88\00:48:42.95 I just had no idea what to do. 00:48:43.02\00:48:45.22 I want to do more. 00:48:45.39\00:48:46.89 I'm just tired of existence like I have. 00:48:47.22\00:48:50.86 You can go to outpostcenters .org and look at all of the 00:48:51.29\00:49:00.37 opportunities, many of which you've listed off here, honey. 00:49:00.37\00:49:03.94 Thank you for that. 00:49:03.97\00:49:05.14 But it's something that's to me, that's a really an exciting 00:49:05.14\00:49:08.61 opportunity. 00:49:08.61\00:49:09.48 Yes. 00:49:10.95\00:49:16.08 single one of us. 00:49:16.08\00:49:16.79 He knows this individual. 00:49:17.02\00:49:18.12 He knows what our gifts are. 00:49:18.22\00:49:19.65 And he has a place for us. 00:49:19.82\00:49:21.99 Sometimes we think, well, God couldn't use me. 00:49:22.59\00:49:24.96 No, he can use us. 00:49:24.99\00:49:26.26 And he has a place, a specific place for us. 00:49:26.43\00:49:29.30 Amen. 00:49:29.36\00:49:30.07 And you might be looking for different countries, you know, 00:49:30.60\00:49:33.67 from our website, you can search to find, to, you can 00:49:33.67\00:49:37.77 peruse all of these 400 ministries. 00:49:37.77\00:49:39.61 You can search by country. 00:49:39.74\00:49:40.84 So you might be saying some, some viewers here might be from 00:49:41.08\00:49:44.65 a certain country. 00:49:44.65\00:49:45.75 Like, I wonder if there's a ministry in my country. 00:49:45.78\00:49:47.48 So you could go there and search by your country and 00:49:47.72\00:49:50.32 filter that or search by type. 00:49:50.32\00:49:52.02 You could search for orphanages or wellness centers or schools. 00:49:52.22\00:49:57.06 And you can put different filters on it and find exactly 00:49:57.56\00:50:00.53 what's happening, where, and then connect right with those 00:50:00.53\00:50:03.20 ministries. 00:50:03.20\00:50:03.80 Amen. 00:50:03.83\00:50:07.70 second hour, because we've got a really, he's got some 00:50:07.70\00:50:11.21 exciting testimonies and we're going to kind of shine a 00:50:11.21\00:50:15.11 spotlight on a few of the ministries, but you work more 00:50:15.11\00:50:20.72 out of the office. 00:50:20.72\00:50:21.55 Where is the office? 00:50:21.82\00:50:22.78 The office is outside of Tennessee. 00:50:23.08\00:50:25.19 Okay. 00:50:25.62\00:50:28.69 It's near Collegedale. 00:50:29.79\00:50:31.63 Southern Adventist University is right near there. 00:50:31.83\00:50:34.20 So yeah, we have a little office there. 00:50:34.76\00:50:37.83 And Steve, you're about four hours away from there, right? 00:50:37.97\00:50:40.54 Right. 00:50:40.57\00:50:45.21 wonderful produce for us. 00:50:45.21\00:50:47.11 Amen. 00:50:47.51\00:50:51.35 way, way back. 00:50:51.35\00:50:52.25 Yeah. 00:50:52.25\00:50:52.95 1904 is actually some of the roots of OCI, because 00:50:53.35\00:50:58.45 supporting ministries have always had a little challenge. 00:50:58.45\00:51:01.99 And when Southern began... 00:51:03.79\00:51:05.69 Explain what you mean by a supporting ministry, if someone 00:51:05.69\00:51:08.33 does, isn't familiar with that term. 00:51:08.33\00:51:10.27 So there are different ways you can talk about ministry that's 00:51:11.37\00:51:14.14 done by lay people. 00:51:14.14\00:51:15.34 And one of those ways you could say it's a supporting ministry. 00:51:15.87\00:51:19.77 That means the ministry supports the work of the 00:51:20.21\00:51:23.58 Seventh -day Adventist Church. 00:51:23.58\00:51:24.75 There's another term that could be used called independent. 00:51:25.58\00:51:28.12 We don't really like that term so much because we want to work 00:51:28.65\00:51:32.12 with the church. 00:51:32.12\00:51:32.85 Now I know that 3ABN is a supporting ministry. 00:51:33.49\00:51:37.23 Yes. 00:51:37.63\00:51:42.60 ministries of the church. 00:51:42.60\00:51:44.03 Okay. 00:51:44.03\00:51:44.50 Well, in the early years of 1900, there was a situation in 00:51:45.57\00:51:52.24 the Southern part of the United States. 00:51:52.24\00:51:53.78 As most of our viewers will know, there was... 00:51:54.01\00:51:58.71 It was only 40 years past the Civil War. 00:51:58.71\00:52:00.88 The Southern part of the United States, a lot of the 00:52:01.38\00:52:04.09 infrastructure had been destroyed. 00:52:04.09\00:52:05.32 Education was hard to find sometimes, and especially for 00:52:05.55\00:52:09.06 those of color. 00:52:09.06\00:52:09.76 And so Ellen White, one of the writers that really did a lot 00:52:10.69\00:52:16.33 of work on behalf of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:52:16.33\00:52:19.17 she was helping to found the church. 00:52:19.53\00:52:21.30 She was making appeals, come to the South and help us. 00:52:21.57\00:52:24.74 And so these two men, Sutherland and McGann, started 00:52:25.01\00:52:28.54 Madison College there. 00:52:28.54\00:52:30.01 Madison became a training center to send missionaries 00:52:30.78\00:52:34.48 across the South, but not just across the South, across the 00:52:34.48\00:52:38.29 whole world. 00:52:38.29\00:52:39.02 In a few years, by 1942, they had sent out 47 new 00:52:40.79\00:52:50.07 institutions started from Madison. 00:52:50.07\00:52:51.93 So the work was really multiplying. 00:52:52.73\00:52:54.94 And when that happened, all of these supporting ministries 00:52:56.54\00:53:00.94 needed a place to come back and tell their story and to 00:53:00.94\00:53:04.65 encourage each other. 00:53:04.65\00:53:05.78 And so Madison played that role. 00:53:06.08\00:53:07.72 And so it's a very integral part of the history of OCI, as 00:53:08.15\00:53:12.85 well as ASI, which is the Adventist Supporting Ministries 00:53:12.85\00:53:17.63 kind of group, Adventist Layman Services and Industries. 00:53:17.63\00:53:22.10 And so... 00:53:23.03\00:53:26.40 six years of ASI. 00:53:26.40\00:53:28.47 Right. 00:53:28.70\00:53:31.64 So I know both of... 00:53:31.74\00:53:33.34 And you were on the board of... 00:53:33.34\00:53:35.34 You were as well. 00:53:35.34\00:53:36.24 You served on the board for many years. 00:53:36.28\00:53:38.65 OCI Outpost Centers International actually was 00:53:40.08\00:53:46.09 organized in 1983. 00:53:46.09\00:53:48.92 You became president of OCI in what year? 00:53:49.72\00:53:54.36 2021. 00:53:54.83\00:53:55.50 In 2021. 00:53:55.50\00:53:56.80 So you truly do. 00:53:57.70\00:54:00.84 Mission is in your blood. 00:54:00.94\00:54:02.30 I mean, that's just obvious. 00:54:02.74\00:54:04.37 You can look back at your history. 00:54:04.67\00:54:07.21 And it's so exciting to see how God has led you, James, because 00:54:07.58\00:54:13.92 he just picked you up, dusted you off, turned you around. 00:54:13.92\00:54:18.79 I love those kind of stories because we see the power of 00:54:19.95\00:54:25.76 God. 00:54:25.76\00:54:26.16 Once again, we're going to be taking a break here in a 00:54:27.30\00:54:29.83 moment, but I just want to encourage you. 00:54:29.83\00:54:33.40 What I love about OCI is all of these ministries are seeking... 00:54:33.80\00:54:40.54 They're using Christ's approach, His method to reach 00:54:40.54\00:54:46.48 people, to show love, to show the heart of God. 00:54:46.48\00:54:50.75 And when someone understands that, then they receive the 00:54:51.12\00:54:57.76 everlasting gospel that's to be preached to every tongue and 00:54:57.76\00:55:02.03 tribe around the world. 00:55:02.03\00:55:03.20 And you know what? 00:55:03.50\00:55:04.43 It's like, okay, I see God's love and action. 00:55:04.87\00:55:09.44 I'm ready to give my heart to such a wonderful God who can 00:55:10.07\00:55:14.88 change lives like James. 00:55:14.88\00:55:16.88 And then when they find out that He is a God who has given 00:55:17.45\00:55:24.59 us boundaries of love in which we should live to have an 00:55:24.59\00:55:29.26 abundant life here, an eternal life after, guess what? 00:55:29.26\00:55:32.93 They're always excited to find out about where some people 00:55:33.29\00:55:38.50 start with the rules and regulations. 00:55:38.50\00:55:40.60 You don't want somebody just to step into religion. 00:55:41.27\00:55:44.34 You want them to step into the covenant relationship with the 00:55:44.44\00:55:47.88 Lord. 00:55:47.88\00:55:48.41 And so once again, if God... 00:55:48.54\00:55:51.68 We're going to be coming back here in just a second with a 00:55:51.68\00:55:54.75 wonderful, some exciting stories for the second hour. 00:55:54.75\00:55:57.89 But if God is impressing upon your heart that I want to do 00:55:58.19\00:56:03.22 something, now's the time. 00:56:03.22\00:56:05.09 Write this down. 00:56:05.19\00:56:06.36 Outpost Centers with an S. 00:56:07.23\00:56:10.07 We'll put that up on the graphic. 00:56:10.53\00:56:12.73 Outpost Centers dot O-R-G. 00:56:13.17\00:56:16.54 You can go check that out, find out where you might volunteer 00:56:16.87\00:56:20.64 or even go to work anywhere around the country and the 00:56:20.64\00:56:26.31 world, I should say, around the world. 00:56:26.31\00:56:28.82 And it's something that... 00:56:29.58\00:56:31.59 What an exciting opportunity. 00:56:31.59\00:56:33.25 And maybe you're just graduating from college and you 00:56:33.62\00:56:37.89 haven't got a job offer now and you just think, you know, Lord, 00:56:37.89\00:56:41.86 I'd like to just take a year off and go work in your harvest 00:56:42.43\00:56:47.00 fields. 00:56:47.00\00:56:47.27 You will never regret it. 00:56:47.64\00:56:49.34 You will never regret it. 00:56:49.47\00:56:50.94 We always tell people that if you have a child who is going 00:56:50.94\00:56:56.91 down the wrong path, get them involved in a mission field 00:56:56.91\00:57:00.78 somewhere and you'll never regret that either. 00:57:00.78\00:57:03.89 You have a quick thought. 00:57:04.32\00:57:05.25 Oh, well, I just thought, boy, what a wonderful opportunity 00:57:05.55\00:57:08.56 you had when you first started. 00:57:08.56\00:57:10.59 I'm just going to take a short vacation and that short 00:57:10.93\00:57:13.60 vacation took you to Switzerland. 00:57:13.60\00:57:14.96 I mean, what? 00:57:15.20\00:57:16.26 That was a big detour. 00:57:17.00\00:57:17.93 That was a big detour. 00:57:18.17\00:57:19.30 And God had big, big plans. 00:57:19.47\00:57:21.34 Well, we are going to be right back with Outpost 00:57:21.74\00:57:25.81 International. 00:57:25.81\00:57:29.48 us for the second hour because you got to hear this story 00:57:29.48\00:57:31.91 about Nigeria and many other stories that they have to 00:57:31.91\00:57:36.22 share. 00:57:36.22\00:57:41.42 God. Amen. 00:57:41.42\00:57:42.26
