I want to spend my life.
00:00:03.37\00:00:09.77
Mending broken.
00:00:09.90\00:00:11.61
I want to spend my life.
00:00:14.98\00:00:18.35
I want to spend my life.
00:00:36.26\00:00:40.50
I want to spend my life.
00:00:46.94\00:00:51.91
Mending broken.
00:00:52.71\00:00:54.02
Hello and welcome to
another 3ABN Today Live.
00:01:06.33\00:01:09.23
Thank you for joining us
as you do each and every day.
00:01:09.30\00:01:12.23
We thank you for your love
and your prayers and financial
00:01:12.63\00:01:14.94
support of 3ABN as we endeavor
to take this great Gospel of
00:01:14.94\00:01:19.41
the Kingdom into all the world.
00:01:19.41\00:01:21.18
I'm so blessed to be here today
with my beautiful wife, Yvonne.
00:01:21.58\00:01:25.78
Thank you, honey.
00:01:25.81\00:01:26.48
I'm glad to be here with you.
00:01:26.48\00:01:27.88
Oh, and we have one of our
favorite guests, a brother in
00:01:27.92\00:01:30.69
the Lord of all time.
00:01:30.69\00:01:31.85
If there's anyone who doesn't
know, we'd like to introduce
00:01:32.92\00:01:36.19
Pastor Wintley Phipps.
00:01:36.19\00:01:37.89
Brother Phipps, it's
great to have you here tonight.
00:01:38.16\00:01:40.13
Great to be with you.
00:01:40.23\00:01:41.43
Great to be with you.
00:01:41.43\00:01:41.46
We've been knowing
each other a long time.
00:01:42.36\00:01:44.73
A very long time.
00:01:44.73\00:01:45.83
When I had hair.
00:01:45.93\00:01:47.17
Yeah, you were one of our
board members back in the day to
00:01:47.50\00:01:51.41
appreciate your
contribution for so many years.
00:01:51.41\00:01:54.44
But you're one of the
busiest people that I know.
00:01:54.78\00:01:57.48
Oh, thank you.
00:01:57.48\00:01:58.28
And you're
traveling around the world.
00:01:58.28\00:02:00.28
And I'm going to guess that you
probably have at least a couple
00:02:00.88\00:02:04.19
hundred thousand
air miles to Delta.
00:02:04.19\00:02:06.09
How many air miles
do you think you have?
00:02:06.42\00:02:08.16
On Delta Airlines alone, it's
over four and a half million
00:02:08.19\00:02:12.19
miles.
00:02:12.19\00:02:13.09
Four and a half million miles.
00:02:13.19\00:02:15.13
I happened to
know that a while ago.
00:02:16.03\00:02:17.20
We talked about it a while ago.
00:02:17.30\00:02:18.57
We brought that up.
00:02:19.23\00:02:19.97
That's amazing.
00:02:20.17\00:02:21.17
I've got a lot of miles,
but I'm not up there with you.
00:02:22.64\00:02:25.27
Four and a half
million on there.
00:02:25.27\00:02:26.91
I remember I was talking to a
flight attendant and I told her
00:02:27.58\00:02:31.78
I have four and a
half million miles.
00:02:31.78\00:02:33.31
She said, How long did
it take you to do that?
00:02:33.35\00:02:36.15
I said, 40 years at a
hundred thousand miles a year.
00:02:36.75\00:02:41.06
Wow.
00:02:41.79\00:02:42.29
There you go.
00:02:42.59\00:02:43.09
That's kind of how.
00:02:43.09\00:02:43.73
Absolutely.
00:02:44.53\00:02:45.03
Just on that one airline.
00:02:45.39\00:02:46.63
On that one airline.
00:02:46.86\00:02:48.03
Well, speaking of that,
for those of you, because we're
00:02:49.20\00:02:51.93
going through the
airwaves tonight as we speak.
00:02:51.93\00:02:54.50
It's amazing the technology and
we're going to be centering in
00:02:54.50\00:02:57.51
on technology.
00:02:57.51\00:02:58.47
Some of you may have heard
about AI, but we're going to
00:02:58.77\00:03:02.24
tell you something.
00:03:02.24\00:03:02.94
I'm going to use this term.
00:03:03.58\00:03:04.88
It's going to blow you out of
the water when it comes to what
00:03:04.98\00:03:07.55
is happening and Brother Phipps.
00:03:07.55\00:03:08.95
Now he's visionary.
00:03:09.08\00:03:10.05
Grass doesn't
grow under his feet.
00:03:11.19\00:03:12.69
I've known him 25 or 30 years.
00:03:13.05\00:03:14.62
He's always got something going
and it's always something good.
00:03:14.62\00:03:18.23
It's always
something to get the gospel.
00:03:18.26\00:03:20.66
So he takes
Matthew 28, 18 to 20.
00:03:21.03\00:03:23.77
Exactly.
00:03:23.77\00:03:25.07
Go ye into all the world.
00:03:25.60\00:03:27.94
And so we're so
thankful that he's here tonight.
00:03:28.57\00:03:31.11
But as we're speaking, as I'm
speaking right now, this signal
00:03:31.54\00:03:35.71
is going up 22,300 miles to
space at the speed of light,
00:03:35.71\00:03:40.72
which is 186,200
miles per second.
00:03:40.92\00:03:44.35
Then it's hitting nine other
satellites and therefore can be
00:03:44.79\00:03:48.96
seen downlinked and be seen or
listened to anywhere on planet
00:03:48.96\00:03:53.26
Earth.
00:03:53.26\00:03:56.43
Absolutely.
00:03:56.90\00:03:59.90
Jesus is going to
come for a long time.
00:03:59.90\00:04:02.57
And, you know, people like
my great grandparents thought
00:04:03.04\00:04:05.44
Jesus is coming in great, great
grandparents and all of these.
00:04:05.44\00:04:08.84
What's different now?
00:04:08.88\00:04:09.91
And I said, when this gospel
of the kingdom shall go into all
00:04:10.28\00:04:13.62
the world, but let's say that
the world lasts another hundred
00:04:13.62\00:04:17.69
years.
00:04:17.69\00:04:22.59
cover all around
the world down in homes.
00:04:22.59\00:04:24.59
So how much could you
improve on three seconds?
00:04:24.63\00:04:27.10
See, knowledge
will be increased.
00:04:27.86\00:04:29.30
Men shall run to and fro.
00:04:29.80\00:04:31.20
So tonight we're going to have
some incredible tools for the
00:04:31.97\00:04:36.44
Christians,
something that you and I need.
00:04:36.44\00:04:38.77
If we say that we're Christian
and we were in a battle, we're
00:04:38.84\00:04:43.04
in a spiritual
battle, a spiritual warfare.
00:04:43.04\00:04:45.31
And the devil has done
everything he can do through
00:04:45.31\00:04:48.72
technology,
through communications.
00:04:48.72\00:04:51.09
But we have to
counteract to counterfeit.
00:04:51.42\00:04:54.19
And so that's why I'm glad
to be on this man's team, be a
00:04:54.62\00:04:57.86
brother and the
Lord and Sister Vaughn.
00:04:57.86\00:04:59.73
You've been knowing
Brother Wintley a long time.
00:04:59.76\00:05:01.56
Oh, you know, I was thinking
back like so Pastor Wintley was
00:05:01.60\00:05:07.54
one of the pastors.
00:05:07.54\00:05:08.67
Jason was blessed twice and
he blessed Jason when he was an
00:05:08.77\00:05:13.27
infant.
00:05:13.27\00:05:15.58
And we went down to D.C.
00:05:16.01\00:05:18.85
and he was the pastor
that blessed him there.
00:05:18.98\00:05:21.75
So, yeah, I've known
him for years and years.
00:05:22.25\00:05:25.15
So how old is Jason?
00:05:25.35\00:05:26.79
Jason will be,
Jason is 39, 38, 38.
00:05:26.96\00:05:30.66
Yeah, 38, he'll be 39.
00:05:30.76\00:05:32.16
Yeah, Jay, I'm sorry.
00:05:33.60\00:05:34.60
I think he's cool with me.
00:05:35.03\00:05:36.30
He ought to be glad if I
was 39, I'd brag about it.
00:05:36.30\00:05:39.43
No, he's 38.
00:05:40.84\00:05:41.64
He'll be 39.
00:05:41.74\00:05:42.44
Yeah.
00:05:42.44\00:05:42.67
Well, a lot of people
know you from your music.
00:05:43.47\00:05:46.04
And so you were
started as a youngster.
00:05:46.71\00:05:50.75
And did you know, like,
we're going to get into A.I.
00:05:51.28\00:05:53.82
in a bit too, but for those of
you who don't know him, I want
00:05:53.92\00:05:56.12
to give a little background.
00:05:56.12\00:05:57.42
But did you know from the time
you were young that you wanted
00:05:57.95\00:06:00.89
to sing?
00:06:00.89\00:06:01.72
Did something
happen later in life?
00:06:02.16\00:06:04.16
Tell us about that.
00:06:05.26\00:06:06.39
Yeah, well, I think it all
started for me really when I
00:06:06.43\00:06:11.37
was, I was born in Trinidad and
I was born to a troubled home.
00:06:11.37\00:06:15.34
And I used to get away
from my parents' troubles.
00:06:15.64\00:06:17.94
I had a little red tricycle.
00:06:17.94\00:06:17.97
I'd go in the backyard of the
house and turn the tricycle on
00:06:19.91\00:06:22.74
its side and use one of the
backside wheels as a steering
00:06:22.74\00:06:26.41
wheel.
00:06:26.41\00:06:30.52
away places in the world
and meeting important people.
00:06:30.52\00:06:33.52
All right.
00:06:33.69\00:06:34.16
When I was 10 years old,
we moved to Montreal, Canada.
00:06:34.86\00:06:37.33
That's where I grew up.
00:06:37.36\00:06:38.69
And I'll never forget, my
father used to take us to the
00:06:38.69\00:06:41.66
airport to say goodbye to
people because back then going
00:06:41.66\00:06:44.27
to the airport was a big deal.
00:06:44.27\00:06:45.80
You know, you packed a lunch.
00:06:46.37\00:06:47.47
And before leaving the airport,
I'd look around, see if anybody
00:06:49.44\00:06:52.24
was looking and I would grab a
handful of the luggage tags and
00:06:52.24\00:06:56.04
stuff them in my pocket.
00:06:56.04\00:06:56.88
And I'd go home and get a
pencil and I'd print my name,
00:06:57.25\00:06:59.85
Wintley Phipps, flight
393 London, flight 676 Paris.
00:07:00.72\00:07:05.25
Just dreaming, you know.
00:07:05.25\00:07:06.59
And when I was about 14 and
a half, 15 years old, my voice
00:07:06.59\00:07:11.89
changed and I've had this
instrument from God, unique in
00:07:11.89\00:07:18.03
the world because I was telling
my church the other day, and
00:07:18.03\00:07:22.74
you'll understand this, Yvonne,
God gave me a magnificent
00:07:22.74\00:07:27.24
musical nugget that most people
would have beautiful singing
00:07:27.24\00:07:34.22
voices if they only did one
thing and that is if they only
00:07:34.22\00:07:40.92
sang the way they talked.
00:07:40.92\00:07:44.03
Every one of us, we have a
unique, just like you have a
00:07:47.50\00:07:51.07
unique fingerprint,
your voice is unique.
00:07:51.07\00:07:54.80
But you know now, Pastor, I got
to ask you now, some people's
00:07:55.14\00:07:58.07
speaking voices
are really screechy.
00:07:58.61\00:08:00.64
Yeah, yeah.
00:08:00.64\00:08:01.18
Well, you can help it.
00:08:01.18\00:08:02.74
You can develop it.
00:08:02.74\00:08:03.85
But the truth of the matter is,
when people get up to say, I'm
00:08:03.98\00:08:09.88
now going to sing blessed
assurance, Jesus is mine.
00:08:09.88\00:08:14.36
And then they're
blessed over and over.
00:08:14.92\00:08:21.13
That was not what God gave you.
00:08:22.40\00:08:24.53
You're trying to sound like
what you think you should sound
00:08:24.93\00:08:28.00
like.
00:08:28.00\00:08:28.27
And so I had this
unique instrument.
00:08:29.37\00:08:32.87
And it messed up my dreams at
the time because I'm a child of
00:08:34.68\00:08:38.75
the sixties too.
00:08:38.75\00:08:40.08
And I wanted to
be another sly stone.
00:08:41.12\00:08:43.52
I was even asked to try
out for the temptations.
00:08:43.52\00:08:43.55
Really?
00:08:48.46\00:08:48.92
Yeah.
00:08:48.92\00:09:01.47
seen your dreams.
00:09:01.47\00:09:02.54
Not give me your dreams.
00:09:03.51\00:09:04.61
And I'll let you
glimpse a little.
00:09:05.31\00:09:07.04
And he had to say that because
I could not take it all if he
00:09:07.51\00:09:11.15
showed it all to me.
00:09:11.15\00:09:12.21
So you dared to dream.
00:09:12.51\00:09:13.55
Yeah.
00:09:13.82\00:09:14.25
He said, that's right.
00:09:14.58\00:09:15.48
He said, I'm going to take
your life down an unusual path.
00:09:15.75\00:09:19.19
This is 1971.
00:09:20.56\00:09:22.69
God said, you
will sing to masses.
00:09:24.29\00:09:26.46
Who could have dreamt of the
technologies that allows you to
00:09:27.36\00:09:31.40
reach millions and
millions of people today?
00:09:31.40\00:09:35.34
Like like I do, you know, when
I, I sang for a congressman,
00:09:35.87\00:09:39.74
John Lewis's funeral at
the rotunda of the Capitol.
00:09:39.84\00:09:42.71
And they said, you know, by the
way, uh, you're going to do two
00:09:43.11\00:09:46.28
songs and it's going to be
covered simultaneously live by
00:09:46.28\00:09:52.72
CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, NBC,
whoever thought, but here I am
00:09:52.72\00:09:59.39
16 years old and God
says, you'll sing to the masses.
00:09:59.39\00:10:02.93
And then he said, uh, you
will speak truth to people of
00:10:04.97\00:10:08.80
influence and power.
00:10:08.80\00:10:10.31
Okay.
00:10:11.41\00:10:16.91
breakfast or dinner with
seven presidents of the United
00:10:16.91\00:10:19.68
States.
00:10:19.68\00:10:20.52
That's only because what God
said, he said, you're going to
00:10:20.92\00:10:24.79
speak truth to people
of influence and power.
00:10:24.79\00:10:26.59
But this, I got to tell
you, because this, none of that
00:10:27.32\00:10:31.03
would have happened.
00:10:31.03\00:10:32.39
We're not for what
my aunt told me one day.
00:10:33.29\00:10:35.76
She came by to visit me and
uh, she was walking around the
00:10:35.86\00:10:39.83
house looking at the pictures
with the presidents and you
00:10:39.83\00:10:43.37
know, Rosa Parks and, and
um, Oprah Winfrey and a lot of
00:10:43.37\00:10:48.68
other people, people I've tried
to minister to, by the way,
00:10:48.68\00:10:52.41
some people don't like
you ministering to people they
00:10:53.08\00:10:56.38
don't like.
00:10:56.38\00:10:57.02
That's who we
need to minister to.
00:10:58.22\00:11:00.06
And I tell people, those
people, I tell them, do me a
00:11:00.92\00:11:04.49
favor, just write down the
names of the people you don't
00:11:04.49\00:11:07.93
think I need to be reaching
out to in the name of Christ.
00:11:07.93\00:11:12.83
Okay.
00:11:13.30\00:11:13.34
That so my aunt is walking
around looking at all the
00:11:18.37\00:11:22.21
pictures of the different
people and she said, sit down.
00:11:22.21\00:11:26.25
I want to tell you something.
00:11:26.28\00:11:27.45
So I sat down and she said, uh,
your father, my brother, we had
00:11:28.22\00:11:34.06
a sister named Pearl and
two years before you were born,
00:11:34.06\00:11:39.93
Pearl died while
having an abortion.
00:11:40.36\00:11:42.96
And when your mother
became pregnant with you out of
00:11:45.30\00:11:50.67
wedlock, there were many who
were urging her to do the same.
00:11:50.67\00:11:54.94
We, the sisters who had been
through so much pain losing our
00:11:55.78\00:11:59.25
sister, we rallied
around your mother.
00:11:59.25\00:12:01.25
We said, no, we're not
going to let this happen.
00:12:01.38\00:12:03.49
And your mother's mother
came to visit our mother, your
00:12:04.45\00:12:09.36
father's mother, and
they closed the door and had a
00:12:09.36\00:12:14.20
private conversation and
they made a pact that they would
00:12:14.20\00:12:20.54
pray for the life of this child.
00:12:20.54\00:12:23.17
And the prayer they decided
they were going to pray is
00:12:24.14\00:12:28.18
Lord, make this child's
life a blessing to the world.
00:12:28.18\00:12:32.38
So I tell people when you hear
what's coming out of my throat,
00:12:34.85\00:12:38.15
you're really listening to
the answer to two grandmother's
00:12:38.32\00:12:42.09
prayers because I don't
think anything, God heard their
00:12:42.09\00:12:47.86
prayers.
00:12:47.86\00:12:52.57
that he convicted me that
the dreams that I had, that I
00:12:52.57\00:12:58.71
didn't have to
compromise to be recognized.
00:12:58.71\00:13:01.51
He just would open any door.
00:13:03.38\00:13:06.18
And Danny, I want to tell you
something that I didn't realize
00:13:06.72\00:13:08.12
too, because this kind of gives
you, one day I was singing in
00:13:08.12\00:13:13.72
Birmingham, Alabama.
00:13:13.72\00:13:14.59
I got ready to go to the dais
and the security people were
00:13:14.96\00:13:18.43
running back and forth.
00:13:18.43\00:13:19.26
They said, the
governor's coming.
00:13:19.39\00:13:20.50
So I straightened out my
tie and brushed down my suit and
00:13:20.60\00:13:22.53
they brought in Bill Clinton.
00:13:22.53\00:13:23.93
I didn't know who he was.
00:13:24.00\00:13:25.27
Nobody knew who he was.
00:13:25.37\00:13:26.67
They hadn't even announced,
he hadn't even announced he was
00:13:27.50\00:13:30.11
running for presidents.
00:13:30.11\00:13:31.24
So since they said, you know,
I'm in Birmingham, they said
00:13:31.81\00:13:35.38
the governor's coming.
00:13:35.38\00:13:36.14
I assumed he's the
governor of Alabama.
00:13:36.28\00:13:37.91
So when they put him beside
me, I went into this long story
00:13:38.41\00:13:41.32
with him on how much I love
Alabama and what great state
00:13:41.32\00:13:44.75
Alabama is.
00:13:44.75\00:13:48.46
Alabama?
00:13:48.46\00:13:49.12
And when they made the
introductions, that's when it
00:13:49.59\00:13:51.66
dawned on me.
00:13:51.66\00:13:56.50
So when I sang for his first
prayer breakfast as I have sung
00:13:57.43\00:14:01.57
for Reagan's prayer breakfast
and Bush's prayer breakfast.
00:14:01.57\00:14:04.47
And when I sang for Clinton's
prayer breakfast, he sent me a
00:14:05.21\00:14:09.34
handwritten note how much
he was blessed by the music.
00:14:09.34\00:14:11.51
And he signed it with thanks,
Bill Clinton, governor of
00:14:11.88\00:14:14.92
Alabama.
00:14:14.92\00:14:15.42
Remember what God said?
00:14:18.85\00:14:20.16
You're going to speak truth to
people of influence and power.
00:14:20.96\00:14:24.06
Wow.
00:14:25.39\00:14:26.16
Well, when the Monica Lewinsky
story broke, I watched him
00:14:26.59\00:14:30.20
aging in front of my eyes as we
did and God impressed me, send
00:14:30.20\00:14:34.34
him a message.
00:14:34.34\00:14:35.24
So I said, Mr. President,
the Lord has impressed me to ask
00:14:35.57\00:14:38.81
you to please read Psalm 69.
00:14:38.81\00:14:40.94
In Psalm 69, David says, save
me, O God, for the waters are
00:14:41.84\00:14:46.01
coming unto my soul.
00:14:46.01\00:14:47.18
I'm sinking in deep mire.
00:14:47.38\00:14:49.28
There's no place to stand.
00:14:49.32\00:14:50.52
The floods overflow me.
00:14:50.65\00:14:51.72
I'm weary of my crying.
00:14:51.99\00:14:53.39
My throat is parched.
00:14:53.49\00:14:54.76
I knew he would identify where
David said, those that hate me
00:14:55.19\00:14:58.79
without a cause are more
than the hairs of my head.
00:14:58.79\00:15:02.36
And you could identify where
David said, Lord, you know, my
00:15:02.60\00:15:05.93
foolishness, my sins
are not hidden from thee.
00:15:05.93\00:15:09.47
Let not those who seek after
you be ashamed because of me.
00:15:10.14\00:15:14.48
So I'm at another function of
the White House and one of his
00:15:15.48\00:15:18.58
secretaries of one of the
departments pulled me to the
00:15:18.58\00:15:22.82
side and said, you
don't know what happened.
00:15:22.82\00:15:24.35
I said, no, what happened?
00:15:24.52\00:15:25.45
In the midst of that crisis,
the president called a few of
00:15:26.15\00:15:28.86
us together, his closest
cabinet members, and we were
00:15:28.86\00:15:33.46
angry with him for his conduct.
00:15:33.46\00:15:34.73
We were going at him.
00:15:34.86\00:15:35.93
He began to read to us from
Psalm 69, how it had troubled
00:15:36.10\00:15:40.40
him.
00:15:40.40\00:15:44.21
American people where he
finally came clean and said,
00:15:44.21\00:15:47.74
there's no fancy way for me
to tell you, but I did sin and I
00:15:48.08\00:15:52.08
am a sinner.
00:15:52.08\00:15:52.75
And, and I was invited to the
East room of the White House to
00:15:53.55\00:15:57.02
hear the president of the
United States give this speech,
00:15:57.02\00:16:00.96
having been nudged by many
and Psalm 69 and God used me to
00:16:01.29\00:16:06.59
help nudge him to this moment.
00:16:06.59\00:16:07.96
He sent me a handwritten
note again, how much he said, I
00:16:08.50\00:16:11.90
received your
message about Psalm 69.
00:16:11.90\00:16:13.97
I read it with care.
00:16:14.20\00:16:15.84
I need your prayers, but I told
you that to share with you this
00:16:15.97\00:16:19.67
little nugget.
00:16:19.67\00:16:21.38
When Russia opened up for the
gospel, you remember a lot of
00:16:22.31\00:16:29.65
ministries, including three
ABN, we had poured a lot of
00:16:29.65\00:16:33.46
resources into Russia because
it was an unreached mission
00:16:33.46\00:16:40.33
field.
00:16:40.33\00:16:40.73
Right?
00:16:41.86\00:16:42.13
Well, a lot of Christian
organizations and denominations
00:16:43.00\00:16:46.70
from the United States had
a lot of money and they were
00:16:46.70\00:16:50.57
buying up Russian churches
and facilities and the Russian
00:16:50.57\00:16:54.94
Orthodox Church became very
angry and they went to their
00:16:54.94\00:17:00.55
parliament, the Duma, it's
called, and persuaded the Duma
00:17:00.55\00:17:04.85
to pass a law and the law set
a date that from that day on no
00:17:04.85\00:17:11.03
foreign nationals, black
Americans, were going to be
00:17:11.03\00:17:15.50
allowed to do any
evangelistic work in Russia.
00:17:15.50\00:17:18.53
When was this?
00:17:18.83\00:17:19.70
I'm not sure the year.
00:17:19.93\00:17:21.00
It was early 1992, 1993.
00:17:21.40\00:17:24.04
Right, but the law passed and
then it was sent to President
00:17:24.04\00:17:24.07
Yeltsin to sign and the moment
it would have been signed,
00:17:30.11\00:17:34.28
foreign nationals were going
to have to be leave Russia and I
00:17:34.52\00:17:37.75
was asked again because of the
friendship and others I'm sure
00:17:37.75\00:17:41.09
and we reached
President Clinton to help.
00:17:41.09\00:17:45.16
He picked up the phone and
called President Yeltsin and
00:17:46.16\00:17:50.90
asked him not to sign that bill
and that's how we were able to
00:17:50.90\00:17:56.81
continue to do
evangelistic work in Russia.
00:17:56.81\00:17:59.74
And so God's saying as a young
man, 16, you're going to speak
00:18:01.34\00:18:06.95
truth to people of
influence and power.
00:18:06.95\00:18:09.52
Imagine if your
mother had aborted you.
00:18:10.25\00:18:13.15
I'm thinking about...
00:18:13.86\00:18:15.36
That voice would
have been silent.
00:18:15.36\00:18:16.69
Silence.
00:18:16.83\00:18:17.46
And all of the influence
and impact that the Lord has
00:18:18.56\00:18:22.90
allowed you to have
would not have been there.
00:18:22.90\00:18:26.13
Absolutely.
00:18:26.33\00:18:26.84
Let me give you my story.
00:18:27.20\00:18:29.37
You know how people
try to up one another.
00:18:29.87\00:18:32.31
Let me give you my story
because you're part of it.
00:18:33.74\00:18:37.95
I went with Wintley
to see President Bush.
00:18:38.55\00:18:41.82
We went to the
White House in 2006.
00:18:42.05\00:18:44.15
I called him Young
Bush, the older Bush, right?
00:18:44.92\00:18:48.96
So we went of
course going with Wintley.
00:18:50.26\00:18:52.93
He grabs Wintley and hugs
him and talks and that way I get
00:18:52.99\00:18:56.00
President Bush and that's
the way I get a little handshake
00:18:56.00\00:18:58.97
and talk to, but he's talking
to Wintley as a good friend.
00:18:58.97\00:19:02.37
So what I didn't tell you
was just a few years before when
00:19:03.00\00:19:06.57
his dad was there, he
was speaking at the National
00:19:06.57\00:19:10.68
Religious Convention.
00:19:10.68\00:19:12.21
Wintley was going to be singing
right before Bush, what do we
00:19:13.05\00:19:17.29
call him?
00:19:17.29\00:19:17.65
Senior?
00:19:17.72\00:19:18.05
What do we call him?
00:19:18.25\00:19:18.72
HW.
00:19:18.85\00:19:19.39
So he's going to
be singing before.
00:19:19.99\00:19:22.32
So he says, Hey,
Danny, I'm there.
00:19:22.79\00:19:25.13
I think to Sheridan and
I'll tell her something.
00:19:25.19\00:19:27.30
He says, won't you come down?
00:19:27.56\00:19:29.46
And I'm back come backstage
and they'll let you in.
00:19:29.93\00:19:33.60
So, hey, what I know, I'm
from Southern Illinois, right?
00:19:34.37\00:19:37.34
I'm a little hillbilly.
00:19:37.84\00:19:39.04
So I'm like, okay, cool.
00:19:39.24\00:19:40.68
This is, you know, sounds great.
00:19:40.81\00:19:42.58
I'll go down.
00:19:42.58\00:19:43.24
So I go out of my rooms.
00:19:43.91\00:19:45.38
I'm walking down the hallway.
00:19:45.55\00:19:46.58
I see a little elevator.
00:19:46.61\00:19:48.08
I don't know if I
ever told you this.
00:19:48.55\00:19:49.95
I see this little elevator.
00:19:50.25\00:19:51.55
It's not the one you normally
take, but I said, I'll just
00:19:51.65\00:19:54.16
take it because I know if I go
down somewhere, I think if I go
00:19:54.16\00:19:57.73
right, I'll get to stage where
Wintley is and I'll just tell
00:19:57.73\00:20:01.26
security and they'll let me in.
00:20:01.26\00:20:03.37
So I pushed the button.
00:20:03.80\00:20:04.90
I go down to the basement
floor, the bottom floor or
00:20:04.90\00:20:08.24
whatever, first
floor, whatever it was.
00:20:08.24\00:20:09.57
I walk out and I start to
go right, but I see a black
00:20:09.94\00:20:13.44
curtain going all the
way across the hallway.
00:20:13.44\00:20:15.48
So I said, Oh, I bet they got
the President Bush, maybe his
00:20:15.94\00:20:20.88
vice president, President Bush.
00:20:20.88\00:20:22.72
You have, they probably
have him on the other side.
00:20:22.78\00:20:25.02
So I said, I'll go this way.
00:20:25.65\00:20:27.22
I turned left and there's black
curtains going across that.
00:20:27.29\00:20:30.63
And I see people, you know,
these guys that look serious,
00:20:30.63\00:20:34.50
like in their suits and
ties all along the wall where
00:20:34.56\00:20:37.87
there's only one guy.
00:20:37.87\00:20:39.23
And he was from me to you.
00:20:39.60\00:20:41.00
And there was a post like a
metal post going up and he was
00:20:41.00\00:20:44.41
leaning against it and
he was reading something.
00:20:44.41\00:20:46.94
And I said, excuse me, sir.
00:20:47.28\00:20:48.91
I said, I'm trying to get into
the hall back there where it's
00:20:48.91\00:20:52.65
going to be.
00:20:52.65\00:20:55.65
They forgot to
guard the elevator.
00:20:57.45\00:20:59.49
Right.
00:21:00.26\00:21:00.76
So he never said a word.
00:21:01.12\00:21:03.12
He didn't like, Hey, Wintley,
like he looked like this.
00:21:03.26\00:21:06.96
And he looked around
and people came running.
00:21:06.96\00:21:08.96
He just looked.
00:21:10.37\00:21:12.93
He never said a word.
00:21:13.07\00:21:14.17
I didn't say a word.
00:21:14.17\00:21:15.40
So you actually asked the
president how to get, how do I
00:21:16.77\00:21:21.38
get in?
00:21:21.38\00:21:22.08
Yeah.
00:21:22.28\00:21:25.95
throw a name.
00:21:25.95\00:21:26.61
I'm going to name drop, right?
00:21:26.61\00:21:27.88
So this guy let me in
because I know Wintley Phipps.
00:21:28.28\00:21:31.02
So they spread
eagle me against the wall.
00:21:31.65\00:21:34.29
Oh, did they?
00:21:34.52\00:21:35.36
Oh, yeah.
00:21:35.36\00:21:36.02
Are you kidding?
00:21:36.12\00:21:36.66
And they were like on me.
00:21:37.03\00:21:38.39
What are you doing here?
00:21:38.39\00:21:38.43
How did you get here?
00:21:39.33\00:21:40.66
And I was nervous
as a cat on a hot tin.
00:21:41.10\00:21:44.07
They say, man, I was like, I'm
not used to that because these
00:21:44.23\00:21:48.60
were serious people.
00:21:48.60\00:21:49.74
They moved him out of the way
and finally I said, I'm sorry,
00:21:49.87\00:21:54.21
but you just forgot to, you
forgot to guard the elevator
00:21:54.54\00:21:57.55
and that's so and
literally right down to him.
00:21:57.55\00:22:00.38
And I was
closest from me to you.
00:22:00.42\00:22:02.25
So finally they say, I'm trying
to talk as much as I could.
00:22:02.35\00:22:06.49
They're telling me, shut up for
a while, but finally, what are
00:22:06.55\00:22:08.89
you doing?
00:22:08.89\00:22:11.16
My friend Wintley Phipps.
00:22:11.16\00:22:11.19
I'm throwing that out.
00:22:12.99\00:22:14.56
I'm dropping names, but
he's going to be singing right
00:22:14.56\00:22:17.33
before President Bush gets up.
00:22:17.33\00:22:19.37
He's singing.
00:22:19.60\00:22:20.44
And so they
walked me back there.
00:22:20.74\00:22:23.10
There's two or three
guys with me and I see him.
00:22:23.10\00:22:26.24
He's doing sound check and I
go, Hey Wintley, you know, and
00:22:26.41\00:22:29.31
he goes, Hey
brother, Danny, how you doing?
00:22:29.31\00:22:31.25
And I thought as kidders as we
are sometimes, if you had said,
00:22:31.58\00:22:35.82
who are you?
00:22:36.18\00:22:36.82
They probably wouldn't
have seen me to this day.
00:22:37.85\00:22:39.85
I'd have still been in prison
somewhere, but thankfully he
00:22:39.92\00:22:43.06
said, Hey, so they
said, do you, you know him?
00:22:43.06\00:22:45.06
And he said, he said,
yeah, yeah, he's my friend.
00:22:45.06\00:22:47.23
I invited him to come back here.
00:22:47.36\00:22:48.66
So I'm like, I got out of that.
00:22:48.73\00:22:51.13
So I don't ever
thank you for that.
00:22:51.40\00:22:53.30
But thank you.
00:22:53.84\00:22:54.24
What an awesome story.
00:22:54.40\00:22:55.47
I appreciate it.
00:22:56.47\00:22:57.61
So he's gone to all these
presidents singing for them and
00:22:57.61\00:23:00.91
all of this.
00:23:00.91\00:23:01.64
I make his shirt.
00:23:01.71\00:23:03.01
I make his shirt tail once
and then I'm about ready to get
00:23:03.01\00:23:06.38
arrested.
00:23:06.38\00:23:07.08
So I haven't even tried to
go back to anybody else yet.
00:23:07.58\00:23:10.25
Oh, that's awesome.
00:23:11.75\00:23:12.92
But God, I said all that to
say, we're having some fun, but
00:23:13.05\00:23:16.19
God has given you a
tremendous influence.
00:23:16.19\00:23:18.36
And you say you're born in
Trinidad, but you had dreams.
00:23:18.59\00:23:21.66
God put these dreams in
your heart from little boy.
00:23:21.70\00:23:23.90
That's right.
00:23:24.10\00:23:24.93
And God has, can I get,
could we say God's exceeded your
00:23:25.30\00:23:28.47
dreams?
00:23:28.47\00:23:28.77
Oh, beyond.
00:23:28.87\00:23:30.21
And first of all, I had London
and Paris down, but my youngest
00:23:31.14\00:23:40.52
son Wade, by the time he
was 10, I was going through his
00:23:40.52\00:23:46.86
passport.
00:23:46.86\00:23:47.59
He had a
passport when he was one.
00:23:47.69\00:23:48.92
When I'm going through his
passport, by the time he was
00:23:49.42\00:23:52.49
10, he had been to
Australia six times.
00:23:52.49\00:23:55.66
By the time he was 10 years old.
00:23:56.83\00:23:59.07
And all my family, the whole,
my wife, Linda, I've been this
00:24:01.34\00:24:06.88
year, it's 49 years.
00:24:06.88\00:24:08.31
I've been married.
00:24:08.48\00:24:09.11
Praise the Lord.
00:24:09.48\00:24:09.98
And together, my wife and the
three boys, all as a family, we
00:24:12.01\00:24:16.75
have a blessing that few
families on earth can say
00:24:16.75\00:24:20.49
they've had.
00:24:20.49\00:24:25.96
together as a family on every
continent of the world, except
00:24:25.96\00:24:29.80
Antarctica.
00:24:29.80\00:24:30.33
We've literally been to
Africa and South America and
00:24:31.20\00:24:35.44
Australia, of course, and China.
00:24:35.44\00:24:38.24
I remember when we went to
China the first time was in
00:24:38.57\00:24:41.04
1992.
00:24:41.04\00:24:41.74
We stood on a corner.
00:24:42.98\00:24:44.21
I'm sure you've been there.
00:24:44.78\00:24:45.98
I don't know what year it
was your first year, but I think
00:24:46.01\00:24:49.18
when you go there now, as
opposed to when you were there
00:24:49.18\00:24:52.19
in 92, it's like a
world of difference.
00:24:52.19\00:24:54.49
But when we went in 92, we
as a family, we're standing in
00:24:54.92\00:24:58.89
Beijing and on a corner
watching a hundred thousand
00:24:58.89\00:25:05.03
bicycles go by, because
that's how they got around.
00:25:05.03\00:25:08.54
Only on bicycles.
00:25:09.00\00:25:10.51
People didn't have
cars like they have today.
00:25:12.04\00:25:14.11
So how did they get you
from the airport to the hotel?
00:25:14.34\00:25:16.95
Well, they have cars, but the
people, the citizens, they were
00:25:17.05\00:25:23.95
all pedaling.
00:25:23.95\00:25:24.95
Now it's different.
00:25:25.82\00:25:27.06
They're the largest
manufacturer of cars in the
00:25:27.89\00:25:31.19
world.
00:25:31.19\00:25:31.73
I get technology, you know.
00:25:32.06\00:25:33.86
So the Lord has exceeded my
dreams in terms of, I could not
00:25:35.16\00:25:40.74
have, look, he could not have
said to me, by the way, you're
00:25:40.74\00:25:44.64
going to meet seven
presidents of the United States.
00:25:44.64\00:25:46.91
Who orchestrates that?
00:25:48.41\00:25:50.05
Who couldn't make that happen?
00:25:50.15\00:25:51.41
Not only meet them, but be able
to sing and them calling you
00:25:51.61\00:25:54.48
numerous times
and call for advice.
00:25:54.48\00:25:56.82
Yeah.
00:25:57.32\00:25:57.45
I mean, it is so...
00:25:57.85\00:25:59.42
President Bush, literally, they
said he won't have time to talk
00:25:59.42\00:26:03.43
to a few of us.
00:26:03.43\00:26:04.26
It was a smaller
deal, maybe 50 people.
00:26:04.29\00:26:06.80
They said he won't have time
to talk to anybody who's really
00:26:07.00\00:26:09.80
busy today.
00:26:09.80\00:26:13.64
around here.
00:26:13.64\00:26:14.20
So we walk around.
00:26:14.24\00:26:15.54
Bush is, you know how you
do when you're at a concert and
00:26:15.80\00:26:18.54
you're too many people, you
can't lock eyes with every so,
00:26:18.54\00:26:21.78
you're kind of
looking straight ahead.
00:26:22.04\00:26:23.55
And Wintley's there and
he's going by and not saying, he
00:26:24.41\00:26:26.95
looks at him and he
goes, Wintley, my friend.
00:26:26.95\00:26:28.82
So he grabs him and gives
him a big slap on the back and
00:26:28.92\00:26:32.29
Wintley introduces him to me
and we talked for a minute and
00:26:32.29\00:26:34.99
he says, Hey, when you get a
chance, come by, I need to, I
00:26:34.99\00:26:37.39
need to talk to
you about something.
00:26:37.39\00:26:38.63
So I said, I said, this
guy's got something going.
00:26:39.39\00:26:41.50
He's got the President of
the United States is going.
00:26:42.20\00:26:44.07
You come by to talk.
00:26:44.13\00:26:45.80
It's all God.
00:26:46.30\00:26:47.27
I mean, he, there's no agent
that can say, you know, I'm
00:26:47.50\00:26:53.41
going to hook you up, you know,
and make these things happen.
00:26:53.41\00:26:57.21
And across party lines, I mean,
you've done sung and been there
00:26:57.41\00:27:02.82
at different breakfasts for
both Democrats and Republicans.
00:27:02.82\00:27:05.05
As a matter of fact, one of my
favorite stories is that I sang
00:27:05.09\00:27:08.02
one day for a big function
in Washington where President
00:27:08.02\00:27:10.63
Clinton spoke and the same
night I had to rush across town
00:27:10.63\00:27:14.13
and sing at this
big Republican function.
00:27:14.13\00:27:16.10
And when I got there, I
announced that I had just come
00:27:17.20\00:27:19.90
from singing for the
President of the United States.
00:27:19.90\00:27:22.34
And there was this boo and
rumble that went through the
00:27:22.47\00:27:24.71
audience.
00:27:24.71\00:27:25.07
I said, wait a
minute, wait a minute.
00:27:25.61\00:27:26.68
I said, I always go where
people really need the Lord.
00:27:27.54\00:27:30.95
And it was a polite applause.
00:27:32.41\00:27:33.78
And then I said, and that's
why I'm here because we all need
00:27:34.88\00:27:40.82
the Lord, no matter what.
00:27:40.82\00:27:42.79
You know, what
a political party.
00:27:42.79\00:27:44.79
And, you know, it's so funny.
00:27:45.19\00:27:46.33
You know, we're going through
a very difficult period in our
00:27:46.39\00:27:48.70
nation's history, but all
of that is going to collapse.
00:27:48.70\00:27:52.07
Yep.
00:27:52.30\00:27:52.33
Yep.
00:27:53.10\00:27:53.64
The kingdom of God will reign.
00:27:53.80\00:27:56.71
The kingdom of our God, it
will overtake all these earthly
00:27:57.94\00:28:03.61
kingdoms.
00:28:03.61\00:28:04.25
And that's what
we're living for.
00:28:04.41\00:28:06.08
That's the day
we can't wait for.
00:28:06.21\00:28:07.78
That's right.
00:28:07.85\00:28:08.45
Absolutely.
00:28:09.15\00:28:09.75
Absolutely.
00:28:10.49\00:28:11.29
Well, we're talking about, I
can't believe we've got about
00:28:11.72\00:28:14.29
30 minutes left this first
half hour, but it's two hour
00:28:14.29\00:28:17.13
program.
00:28:17.13\00:28:19.73
But we were talking
about technology and changes in
00:28:20.53\00:28:25.40
technology.
00:28:25.40\00:28:26.10
Yvonne, you were
recording back in the 70s.
00:28:26.74\00:28:30.04
Well, oh, well,
she was really young.
00:28:30.87\00:28:32.84
I'm sure.
00:28:33.17\00:28:33.54
No, no, no.
00:28:33.58\00:28:34.31
I actually started
professionally in 77.
00:28:34.51\00:28:37.05
So, yeah, yeah.
00:28:37.28\00:28:38.38
OK, we're making sure.
00:28:40.35\00:28:42.22
OK.
00:28:42.98\00:28:43.15
OK, whatever.
00:28:43.42\00:28:44.42
Well, you know, 79.
00:28:45.15\00:28:46.65
You're 77.
00:28:46.65\00:28:48.19
You know what
happened to me in 79?
00:28:48.96\00:28:50.26
No.
00:28:50.39\00:28:50.93
A man calls me and says, Sir,
I heard you sing this song about
00:28:51.63\00:28:54.46
giving your life to God.
00:28:54.46\00:28:55.66
I want you to sing
that song on Soul Train.
00:28:56.50\00:28:58.80
I know your viewers
don't know what Soul Train is.
00:28:59.87\00:29:02.67
The big dance show.
00:29:03.17\00:29:04.11
Oh, yeah, the older ones do.
00:29:04.51\00:29:05.47
I said, how is this man
going to get me on Soul Train?
00:29:06.24\00:29:10.51
So he called up the
host, Don Cornelius.
00:29:10.65\00:29:12.85
Yeah.
00:29:13.35\00:29:15.65
Don Cornelius says, I'm sorry,
I can't put anything religious
00:29:15.88\00:29:18.89
on Soul Train.
00:29:18.89\00:29:19.59
I've never done it.
00:29:19.69\00:29:20.72
He said, but all you got is
young people dressed funny and
00:29:20.92\00:29:23.53
kind of bumping into
each other, you know?
00:29:23.53\00:29:25.29
And what this young man is
trying to say in his music,
00:29:25.63\00:29:29.43
those are the very young
people who need to hear it.
00:29:30.00\00:29:32.73
Mm hmm.
00:29:33.00\00:29:33.97
The man said, Don Cornelius
said, I can't put anything
00:29:34.17\00:29:37.17
religious on Soul Train.
00:29:37.17\00:29:38.27
The man said, listen, Don,
my name is George Johnson of
00:29:38.37\00:29:41.04
Johnson Products Company,
Ultraschene, Afroschene.
00:29:41.04\00:29:43.18
Yeah, the company's been back
in your show for the last eight
00:29:43.28\00:29:46.25
years.
00:29:46.25\00:29:51.95
Train.
00:29:51.95\00:29:52.22
What?
00:29:52.22\00:29:52.25
So they stopped dancing.
00:29:53.76\00:29:55.66
Wow.
00:29:56.09\00:30:02.00
life.
00:30:02.00\00:30:02.30
Yes.
00:30:02.40\00:30:02.93
OK.
00:30:02.93\00:30:02.96
Yes, yes.
00:30:03.93\00:30:04.60
So that's how
long I've been around.
00:30:04.80\00:30:06.97
You had the afro though?
00:30:07.00\00:30:08.17
You had the afro,
bell bottom pants.
00:30:08.20\00:30:10.31
Yeah, yeah.
00:30:10.31\00:30:11.54
You had it all.
00:30:11.61\00:30:12.34
Yeah, that's right.
00:30:13.34\00:30:16.58
I respect you tremendously
because you're one of the few
00:30:17.18\00:30:20.88
artists that I know that get
outside just the gospel field
00:30:20.88\00:30:26.05
or the Christian that you
haven't compromised your music.
00:30:26.05\00:30:29.86
Your music has the same what
would is to me, spirituality is
00:30:31.26\00:30:38.23
you did the same.
00:30:38.23\00:30:39.13
You sing songs with conviction.
00:30:39.20\00:30:40.70
You sing from the heart.
00:30:40.70\00:30:42.10
Praise the Lord.
00:30:42.30\00:30:45.27
You let the words give
honor and glory to God.
00:30:45.27\00:30:49.61
And you don't have to have
the music that maybe is popular
00:30:49.64\00:30:53.28
where it's beating,
banging, all this stuff.
00:30:53.28\00:30:55.68
And I've noticed that no matter
where he sings, whether he's
00:30:55.88\00:30:58.89
doing inauguration, whether
he's doing, you know, events
00:30:58.89\00:31:01.76
that we've seen you around the
world that I've said, you know,
00:31:01.76\00:31:05.46
there's my man because he's not
going off saying, well, let me,
00:31:05.69\00:31:08.96
as you said about your
voice, be true to your voice.
00:31:09.00\00:31:12.20
You're being true to
your religion, to your God.
00:31:12.63\00:31:15.07
And you're saying, okay, this
is what God called me to do.
00:31:15.07\00:31:17.91
So I'm not going to try to get
into soul train changed for you
00:31:17.94\00:31:24.11
rather than you change so
you could be on soul train.
00:31:24.11\00:31:27.32
That's right.
00:31:27.52\00:31:29.55
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:31:30.19\00:31:31.35
I'm sure that they wanted you
to kind of move into that with
00:31:31.45\00:31:34.79
that with the speaking voice.
00:31:34.79\00:31:35.96
You'll never find.
00:31:35.96\00:31:36.96
You're right.
00:31:37.36\00:31:38.13
But you know, I got to give
you a compliment too, Yvonne,
00:31:38.53\00:31:41.53
because you have
been in that world too.
00:31:41.53\00:31:45.73
You've been, you've seen
the top artists, you've traveled
00:31:46.90\00:31:52.97
with some of the most famous
singers and musicians of our
00:31:52.97\00:32:00.28
time.
00:32:00.28\00:32:00.62
But God called you and you
responded and I wanted to share
00:32:02.08\00:32:08.82
a little story that an old
black preacher told me that
00:32:08.82\00:32:13.60
I'm, when I think of
the story, I think of you.
00:32:13.60\00:32:16.16
We were talking about artists
because you know, some artists,
00:32:18.03\00:32:20.94
they'll go do a gospel
record and then they'll run do a
00:32:21.30\00:32:25.14
secular record.
00:32:25.14\00:32:25.61
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:32:25.61\00:32:29.24
And so I was talking to this
old preacher and he said, yeah,
00:32:30.55\00:32:34.85
I see these artists that
do gospel and then they run do
00:32:34.98\00:32:37.62
secular.
00:32:37.62\00:32:38.05
He said, but can I
tell you something?
00:32:38.52\00:32:39.82
And this is what,
this is for Yvonne.
00:32:40.69\00:32:42.42
He said, you can't ride
two horses in the same race.
00:32:42.42\00:32:47.86
That's right.
00:32:48.13\00:32:48.86
That's right.
00:32:50.97\00:32:51.77
It's true.
00:32:52.03\00:32:52.57
It's true.
00:32:52.73\00:32:53.57
And because Jesus
said it, no man can serve.
00:32:53.94\00:32:57.11
Two masters.
00:32:57.21\00:32:58.07
Two masters.
00:32:58.31\00:32:59.07
But I love that.
00:32:59.74\00:33:01.04
You can't ride two
horses in the same race.
00:33:01.14\00:33:03.08
So you chose your horse.
00:33:03.08\00:33:04.51
Well, praise the Lord.
00:33:04.61\00:33:05.78
Yeah.
00:33:05.95\00:33:09.75
conversion, you know, you're
singing about things and you're
00:33:09.75\00:33:13.66
really not
thinking about the lyrics.
00:33:13.66\00:33:15.89
Isn't that something?
00:33:16.16\00:33:16.69
You're just singing it.
00:33:16.69\00:33:17.43
Yeah, yeah.
00:33:17.43\00:33:23.60
oh, how did I sing that?
00:33:23.73\00:33:25.33
Yeah.
00:33:25.40\00:33:27.57
Yeah.
00:33:27.57\00:33:31.44
you know, they
call me to do a job.
00:33:31.77\00:33:33.51
And I said, well, can
you just read me the lyrics?
00:33:33.58\00:33:36.01
And after a while, I know
producers are like, I'll get
00:33:36.48\00:33:39.68
somebody else because you're
just causing too many waves.
00:33:39.68\00:33:42.02
Yeah.
00:33:42.02\00:33:42.55
But that's the thing.
00:33:42.55\00:33:43.35
You don't, you can't.
00:33:44.52\00:33:46.59
Once you, and this is one of
the things, of course, that we
00:33:46.69\00:33:50.19
admire so much about you,
that you never crossed over into
00:33:50.19\00:33:54.23
that arena and you
could have, but you didn't.
00:33:54.23\00:33:58.43
Because you don't have to
compromise to be recognized.
00:33:58.53\00:34:01.97
I love that.
00:34:02.00\00:34:02.77
I love that.
00:34:02.84\00:34:03.67
But, you know, and yes, the
technology that we used to use,
00:34:04.61\00:34:09.04
I remember doing eight tracks.
00:34:09.34\00:34:11.28
Yeah.
00:34:11.28\00:34:14.82
Danny, you remember records?
00:34:15.25\00:34:16.25
Absolutely.
00:34:16.75\00:34:17.25
Oh, yeah.
00:34:17.59\00:34:17.82
I made them.
00:34:17.99\00:34:18.22
The little
black things of Spong.
00:34:18.79\00:34:20.69
The 45's and the 78's?
00:34:20.69\00:34:20.72
Yeah.
00:34:22.36\00:34:26.06
33's?
00:34:26.33\00:34:26.90
He said, Daddy!
00:34:27.03\00:34:28.56
I said, what?
00:34:29.16\00:34:29.83
Daddy, what's a record?
00:34:29.83\00:34:32.57
Oh, my word.
00:34:33.97\00:34:35.17
You know, there were records,
there were eight tracks, there
00:34:35.60\00:34:39.87
were cassettes,
then there were CDs.
00:34:39.87\00:34:43.58
Can you imagine CDs as a
technology that no longer
00:34:43.95\00:34:48.18
exists?
00:34:48.18\00:34:48.88
Yeah.
00:34:49.42\00:34:54.22
Yeah, it's coming back.
00:34:54.76\00:34:56.12
It's coming back.
00:34:56.93\00:34:57.63
You can't buy them.
00:34:58.43\00:34:59.56
They're sold out.
00:34:59.56\00:35:03.03
anything like this.
00:35:03.03\00:35:03.93
We love it.
00:35:04.17\00:35:04.80
You know, there are no
CD players in cars anymore.
00:35:05.27\00:35:08.87
No.
00:35:09.07\00:35:09.54
Yeah.
00:35:09.97\00:35:10.24
That's true.
00:35:10.37\00:35:11.01
So, the technology changes.
00:35:11.01\00:35:11.04
Nowadays, of course, everything
is digital, everything is
00:35:13.27\00:35:17.08
YouTube, everything is
Spotify, everything is online.
00:35:17.08\00:35:20.52
God gave me this phrase,
the salvific use of technology.
00:35:21.85\00:35:27.86
Say it again.
00:35:28.36\00:35:29.16
The salvific use of technology.
00:35:29.16\00:35:33.46
In other words, all throughout
history, God has wanted his
00:35:34.36\00:35:38.90
people to use technology for
the salvation of his children.
00:35:38.90\00:35:46.24
Absolutely.
00:35:47.14\00:35:47.61
Whether it's shoes on
your feet, that's a technology.
00:35:48.28\00:35:52.18
Whether it's the car you
drive, that's a technology.
00:35:54.38\00:35:59.95
And whether it's the food that
you preserve from refrigeration
00:36:02.42\00:36:08.90
to give out to the homeless,
that's a salvific use of
00:36:08.90\00:36:16.94
technology.
00:36:16.94\00:36:17.64
Or 3ABN.
00:36:18.34\00:36:20.11
Danny, what God put in your
spirit and that's why I love
00:36:20.81\00:36:24.38
you as a brother, my brother,
because you're and God put it
00:36:24.38\00:36:29.65
in your spirit.
00:36:29.65\00:36:30.52
You saw something that others
just didn't see at the time.
00:36:31.05\00:36:34.12
But we needed to use
technology to reach the world.
00:36:34.56\00:36:39.66
And I am just through the
years, I have marveled at how
00:36:40.93\00:36:45.30
God has honored your vision
and honored this desire in your
00:36:45.30\00:36:50.61
heart.
00:36:50.61\00:36:50.94
And you didn't know where
it was all gonna go when you
00:36:52.24\00:36:55.31
started.
00:36:55.31\00:36:55.54
Still don't.
00:36:55.71\00:36:56.34
Yeah, still don't.
00:36:56.41\00:36:57.68
And so we are now in the throes
of some of the most amazing
00:36:58.41\00:37:05.55
technology in the
history of the world.
00:37:06.62\00:37:10.19
It's going to change so much.
00:37:11.09\00:37:13.26
I had and the technology I'm
speaking about particularly now
00:37:13.43\00:37:17.13
is AI.
00:37:17.13\00:37:18.10
What does that stand for?
00:37:18.33\00:37:20.14
Artificial intelligence.
00:37:20.50\00:37:22.17
I heard a man
trying to change it.
00:37:22.64\00:37:24.37
He said it's
American intelligence.
00:37:24.44\00:37:26.37
He just didn't like
the artificial part.
00:37:26.98\00:37:29.51
But it's really about the power
of supercomputing that allows
00:37:30.31\00:37:38.72
you to learn faster, to get
answers quicker, to do analysis
00:37:38.72\00:37:49.06
with greater speed and to make
decisions based upon the speed
00:37:49.06\00:37:57.71
of analysis.
00:37:57.71\00:37:59.01
That's it.
00:37:59.57\00:38:00.18
You're making more intelligent
decisions more quickly because
00:38:00.91\00:38:04.25
of the speed of the computer
chips that are being used.
00:38:04.25\00:38:07.42
So online they have on
YouTube they have an AI pilot.
00:38:08.62\00:38:17.23
They have put this technology
in the cockpits of airplanes.
00:38:18.19\00:38:21.70
In the cockpits of jet fighters.
00:38:22.33\00:38:24.80
And then they have put those AI
pilots to fight in the air dog
00:38:25.60\00:38:31.97
fights with human pilots.
00:38:31.97\00:38:33.88
The human pilots never win.
00:38:34.81\00:38:37.85
They never win.
00:38:39.31\00:38:40.55
And one frustrated pilot says
I think it's because AI pilot
00:38:41.22\00:38:46.86
knows no fear.
00:38:46.86\00:38:48.36
And it executes maneuvers that
we dare not think about or try.
00:38:50.03\00:38:56.90
And so with the technologies
that are there those of us who
00:38:58.00\00:39:03.37
are dreaming of how
they can be used for God.
00:39:03.37\00:39:06.71
have to
approach it without fear.
00:39:07.64\00:39:10.15
We couldn't be without it.
00:39:19.85\00:39:22.06
If you have an
iPhone and you Siri.
00:39:22.49\00:39:25.66
Your iPhone,
your Zoom Bible study.
00:39:26.26\00:39:29.80
That's technology.
00:39:31.37\00:39:32.73
So we cannot be afraid.
00:39:33.47\00:39:34.70
And of course we use it
now because we use it and we
00:39:34.94\00:39:42.28
recognize because it's there
as the Lord says it's a sign of
00:39:42.28\00:39:48.38
his coming because
knowledge shall increase.
00:39:48.38\00:39:53.42
That's what we're told.
00:39:55.06\00:39:56.09
can't say just because it's so
much knowledge we don't want to
00:39:56.42\00:40:00.56
use it.
00:40:00.56\00:40:02.56
1984 when I was impressed
to build a station to reach the
00:40:03.67\00:40:06.63
world for instance in our
church there was no not one
00:40:06.63\00:40:10.64
Adventist television station
or television station giving the
00:40:10.64\00:40:13.81
Adventist message not send this
for credit but there was not
00:40:13.81\00:40:20.08
one television station 24-7,
let alone a satellite going
00:40:20.08\00:40:25.19
around the world.
00:40:25.19\00:40:26.02
All I knew is the Lord said,
you know, to build a television
00:40:26.39\00:40:29.92
station and reach the world
with an undiluted three angels
00:40:29.92\00:40:33.03
messages, one that would
counteract the counterfeit.
00:40:33.03\00:40:35.13
Didn't know what it means,
still learning what that means
00:40:35.40\00:40:38.63
and some of it's kind of
scary actually, counteract the
00:40:38.63\00:40:41.47
counterfeit, right?
00:40:41.47\00:40:42.37
Undiluted three angels
messages, what all this means.
00:40:42.80\00:40:45.91
I went forward, but as we went
forward, I thought it was an
00:40:46.31\00:40:49.98
amazing thing that there was
a number of satellites in space
00:40:49.98\00:40:53.62
and if we put up a 10 meter
dish about 30 feet in diameter,
00:40:53.62\00:40:58.35
we could go up and hit these
satellites and people could
00:40:58.75\00:41:01.92
watch us.
00:41:01.92\00:41:06.53
in people's yards,
gigantic and really big.
00:41:06.53\00:41:09.60
And so we said,
reach a million people.
00:41:10.20\00:41:12.33
That's amazing
that you could do it.
00:41:12.63\00:41:14.90
So with the help of our viewers
and board members and friends
00:41:15.07\00:41:18.97
and everybody, we
were able to do that.
00:41:18.97\00:41:21.44
But $50,000 a month just
to rent the one satellite that
00:41:22.01\00:41:27.05
would get you and yet we
didn't have any money for that.
00:41:27.05\00:41:30.49
But we said, you know what?
00:41:30.52\00:41:31.49
We're going to go
forward without begging.
00:41:31.72\00:41:33.76
God provided the
money to build a satellite.
00:41:33.89\00:41:37.93
We were able to pay
the $50,000 a month.
00:41:38.19\00:41:40.96
And then in 1996 or so,
Mark Finley said, I'm going to
00:41:41.33\00:41:45.83
Europe and it is written, we're
going to do a series, you know,
00:41:45.83\00:41:50.91
a net series they call
it and go over to Europe.
00:41:51.01\00:41:53.78
So 3ABN put in
for the first time.
00:41:54.24\00:41:56.71
We had this KU
system, it was C -band.
00:41:56.85\00:41:59.55
So we put in this other system
that went to satellite, went
00:41:59.81\00:42:03.89
across the ocean, came
down in churches all across.
00:42:03.89\00:42:07.46
I remember even Romania,
I think they had 60 some odd
00:42:07.69\00:42:11.19
churches with thousands of
people a night and all through
00:42:11.19\00:42:14.46
Europe, people
were able to get it.
00:42:14.46\00:42:16.56
We brought 12 translators
from different countries, from
00:42:16.56\00:42:20.60
Germany and
literally Bosnia, Herzegovina.
00:42:20.60\00:42:24.31
I mean, different countries,
Russia, of course, brought them
00:42:24.47\00:42:28.14
here, built little rooms
for them and they all translated
00:42:28.14\00:42:31.91
live.
00:42:31.91\00:42:32.45
Now, so here we are.
00:42:32.88\00:42:34.22
And so we think
we're at the very end.
00:42:34.85\00:42:37.29
The technology can't
go any farther than this.
00:42:37.49\00:42:40.06
How can it go
anything, you know?
00:42:40.29\00:42:42.89
Now, I didn't have a cell phone.
00:42:43.06\00:42:44.66
Never heard of cell
phone back then, right?
00:42:44.66\00:42:46.93
This was just, we're
talking about in the 90s.
00:42:47.13\00:42:49.66
I mean, I guess there were
some, I didn't know anything
00:42:50.03\00:42:52.97
about them.
00:42:52.97\00:42:53.34
So here we've got this
technology reaching thousands
00:42:54.10\00:42:57.17
of people.
00:42:57.17\00:43:01.28
So they went up to about
6 million and then all of a
00:43:01.58\00:43:04.08
sudden they came down and made
them just three feet around.
00:43:04.08\00:43:06.78
Then came Dish
Network, then came DirecTV.
00:43:06.98\00:43:10.39
Suddenly Dish went up to
like 15 million homes, which
00:43:10.79\00:43:14.76
represents 45 million viewers.
00:43:14.76\00:43:16.89
3ABN got on that.
00:43:17.26\00:43:18.63
We became the second
largest owner of TV stations in
00:43:18.99\00:43:22.10
America.
00:43:22.10\00:43:22.66
Downlink
stations, rebroadcasting.
00:43:23.03\00:43:25.40
But I think TBN
had the most, 3ABN.
00:43:26.23\00:43:29.74
And rebroadcast and then we've
been and started getting on
00:43:29.90\00:43:32.31
thousands of cable stations.
00:43:32.31\00:43:33.71
We say, nothing can
go any farther than this.
00:43:34.04\00:43:37.18
You can't get any
farther than this.
00:43:37.88\00:43:40.15
And by this time now around
2000, I watched a program on TV
00:43:40.68\00:43:44.85
and the guy said, it was a
learning channel and he said,
00:43:44.85\00:43:47.72
he was a scientist, he said,
in the next 20 to 25 years,
00:43:47.72\00:43:51.06
everyone's life will change so
dramatically that no matter how
00:43:51.66\00:43:55.50
hard I try to explain
it, you won't believe it.
00:43:55.50\00:43:57.77
The technology is there.
00:43:57.97\00:43:59.17
It's already in place.
00:43:59.30\00:44:00.54
But everything that we can do
in science will be to the every
00:44:00.84\00:44:06.68
individual.
00:44:06.68\00:44:07.44
And I thought,
what will that be?
00:44:07.51\00:44:09.01
I've seen Dick Tracy when I
was a kid looking at his watch.
00:44:09.24\00:44:12.81
Well, I had a flip phone at the
time and how are you going to
00:44:13.45\00:44:16.42
get any better than this?
00:44:16.42\00:44:17.35
I don't even have to be home.
00:44:17.65\00:44:18.99
I can be outside and
anywhere and call somebody.
00:44:18.99\00:44:23.26
That technology continued to
grow until finally now we had
00:44:23.79\00:44:29.83
other networks coming up.
00:44:29.83\00:44:31.30
Then came social media.
00:44:31.47\00:44:33.00
Social media today, anyone can
get on social media and talk to
00:44:33.60\00:44:38.47
anybody anywhere in the
world, give their sermon, give
00:44:38.47\00:44:41.08
whatever they want to do.
00:44:41.08\00:44:42.28
So God has allowed technology
to grow till finally we said,
00:44:42.78\00:44:47.72
just in the last four or five
years, we couldn't go anymore.
00:44:48.05\00:44:51.15
We just have VHS
tapes and we put them in.
00:44:51.22\00:44:54.02
Now we put thousands of hours
in a computer and it'll run
00:44:54.19\00:44:58.09
them.
00:44:58.09\00:44:58.46
That's right.
00:44:58.53\00:44:59.06
So we'll do all of this.
00:44:59.33\00:45:00.46
But now comes AI.
00:45:00.50\00:45:02.60
Well, let me tell you, my
journey into technology began
00:45:02.60\00:45:10.47
out of necessity.
00:45:10.47\00:45:11.74
And then in a bit we're going
to take a break and just in a
00:45:11.94\00:45:14.04
little while we're
going to hear this.
00:45:14.04\00:45:15.24
Then we're going to demonstrate
some amazing technology that
00:45:15.48\00:45:19.58
you will not want
to miss, I promise you.
00:45:19.58\00:45:21.38
Absolutely.
00:45:21.62\00:45:22.05
Well, it started
for me back in 1985.
00:45:22.45\00:45:26.52
I was pastoring the Capitol
Hill Church and this church, we
00:45:26.82\00:45:31.49
had a thousand people attending.
00:45:31.49\00:45:32.99
You had to get there for
Sabbath school to get a seat
00:45:34.86\00:45:37.67
for church.
00:45:37.67\00:45:38.37
Yes.
00:45:38.37\00:45:38.83
That's where it should be.
00:45:39.00\00:45:39.87
And the overflow of people
watching on a wide screen in
00:45:41.40\00:45:44.11
the basement of the church,
you know, it was that kind of
00:45:44.11\00:45:46.41
church.
00:45:46.41\00:45:46.94
But most of the congregants
were young married couples
00:45:47.58\00:45:53.01
because we're in a metropolitan
area, Washington, D.C.
00:45:54.65\00:45:57.25
A lot of people have gravitated
there for careers and jobs and
00:45:57.25\00:46:02.49
university
students, college students.
00:46:02.49\00:46:04.43
And I realized I couldn't
get up and just kind of wing it.
00:46:05.53\00:46:11.43
Some pastors wing it.
00:46:12.70\00:46:15.17
I couldn't just talk off the
top of my head and come up with
00:46:15.90\00:46:20.34
something.
00:46:20.34\00:46:25.58
But my problem was I'm flying
the four and a half million
00:46:25.58\00:46:28.82
miles.
00:46:28.82\00:46:29.05
I'm flying.
00:46:29.22\00:46:29.92
So I can't take my reference
library with me to study.
00:46:30.39\00:46:34.82
So out of desperation, back
in 1985, I went to my reference
00:46:35.79\00:46:41.73
library, pulled the books out
that I thought that I used most
00:46:41.73\00:46:47.07
often for study and research.
00:46:47.07\00:46:49.00
And I tore all of the pages
out of those books in 1985,
00:46:49.57\00:46:54.54
hundreds of thousands of
pages I tore out of the books.
00:46:54.54\00:46:58.58
Talking about technology.
00:46:59.05\00:47:00.42
And then I bought
two rudimentary scanners.
00:47:01.22\00:47:03.85
When I say rudimentary because
they were just being used for
00:47:03.99\00:47:06.52
home use, starting
to be used for that.
00:47:06.52\00:47:09.12
And bought two of them.
00:47:09.66\00:47:10.49
And my wife and I, when we
watched television for the news
00:47:10.83\00:47:14.00
or whatever, we'd sit and
we'd scan those hundreds of
00:47:14.00\00:47:17.87
thousands of pages, brought
them up into a text file.
00:47:17.87\00:47:23.20
And then at that time they
had a CD-ROM with Ellen White's
00:47:24.04\00:47:29.14
writings.
00:47:29.14\00:47:29.71
Well, the company that has the
search engine that allows you
00:47:30.41\00:47:35.32
to search Ellen White's
writings back on that CD-ROM.
00:47:35.32\00:47:37.52
I went to that company and I
said, can I buy my own license
00:47:37.72\00:47:41.96
so I can bring all that content
that I scanned into this and
00:47:42.69\00:47:47.30
have my own
CD-ROM of my own library?
00:47:47.30\00:47:50.07
So I purchased that.
00:47:51.30\00:47:52.90
It was a lot of money
back then, but I purchased it.
00:47:52.90\00:47:54.70
So now I had on my laptop, my
reference library, and a search
00:47:54.80\00:48:00.78
engine to be able to
research for my sermons.
00:48:00.78\00:48:04.41
I had my own Google before
Google was invented in 1987.
00:48:04.71\00:48:11.02
And so it allowed me to preach
in such a way that it was well
00:48:12.09\00:48:19.13
researched.
00:48:19.13\00:48:19.73
You know, research is important.
00:48:20.26\00:48:21.80
Study and research is important
to give sermons that are
00:48:21.80\00:48:25.70
substantive, that are
inspirational, that are
00:48:25.70\00:48:29.07
engaging, and that
feed people spiritually.
00:48:29.07\00:48:32.54
And this tool that we're about
to show you in the next hour,
00:48:33.58\00:48:37.18
you're going to see it is
the most powerful inspirational
00:48:38.25\00:48:43.62
tool to help you
prepare for your sermons.
00:48:43.62\00:48:48.12
And it's elders who
didn't go to the seminary.
00:48:48.12\00:48:52.79
I can tell you, elders, this
is going to be an important tool
00:48:53.36\00:48:57.07
for elders in our churches
because with one click of a
00:48:57.07\00:49:01.47
button, it reads on the topic
that you're going to preach on.
00:49:01.47\00:49:07.21
It researches on the
topic you're going to preach on.
00:49:08.18\00:49:11.15
And then it writes in the
voice and style of Jesus, the
00:49:11.45\00:49:20.72
message, the voice and style of
Jesus was, today we would call
00:49:20.72\00:49:25.19
it proverbial prose.
00:49:25.19\00:49:27.50
Look at the Sermon of the Mount.
00:49:29.10\00:49:30.80
First of all, there was never a
better communicator than Jesus.
00:49:31.57\00:49:34.87
You will not go wrong in
teaching and preaching the way
00:49:36.00\00:49:39.97
Jesus taught, right?
00:49:39.97\00:49:42.64
And good teaching
is good preaching.
00:49:43.98\00:49:45.88
That's what I believe.
00:49:46.78\00:49:47.72
And the way, when you
look at the Sermon of the Mount
00:49:48.28\00:49:50.82
carefully, you'll see
every sentence Jesus spoke was a
00:49:50.82\00:49:57.96
quotable quote.
00:49:57.96\00:49:59.06
You could memorize,
frame, and put on a wall.
00:50:00.03\00:50:05.17
There were no wasted words.
00:50:06.07\00:50:08.47
There were no wasted words.
00:50:10.34\00:50:11.64
And so we have trained this
technology to read on the topic
00:50:11.81\00:50:17.08
using trusted,
vetted, Adventist theology.
00:50:17.85\00:50:22.38
Read on it, research, and write
on it using the approach that
00:50:24.09\00:50:30.73
Jesus used in communicating.
00:50:30.73\00:50:32.86
So does it have different
Bible versions as well?
00:50:32.86\00:50:37.73
Or does someone...
00:50:38.13\00:50:39.00
It has that.
00:50:39.00\00:50:40.14
It has, it gives you...
00:50:40.67\00:50:42.14
But it's pulling the
thoughts from the Word of God.
00:50:42.14\00:50:47.11
So like a commentary?
00:50:47.64\00:50:48.98
Sort of like it.
00:50:49.58\00:50:50.51
We're going to see.
00:50:50.58\00:50:51.18
We're going to see, yeah.
00:50:51.21\00:50:52.25
I'm interested in
what we want to do.
00:50:53.52\00:50:55.12
We have a time song, No
Need to Fear that Wendley did.
00:50:55.22\00:50:58.89
We want to play that, but
because I have trouble, I have
00:50:58.99\00:51:02.72
arguments you can
ask her with AI, chat AI.
00:51:02.72\00:51:06.16
I call her she's
got a woman's voice.
00:51:07.60\00:51:09.36
She'll tell me
things I know is not true.
00:51:09.53\00:51:11.70
So I go back and say,
that's not what the Bible says.
00:51:12.10\00:51:14.20
It's slanted.
00:51:14.27\00:51:15.17
So I want
something that's not slanted.
00:51:15.47\00:51:17.61
So what we did
was we trained it.
00:51:17.91\00:51:20.31
That's what I want to hear.
00:51:20.64\00:51:21.81
And said, do stick to the Bible
and do not give us back any
00:51:22.01\00:51:28.08
responses that are not in
line with Adventist theology.
00:51:28.08\00:51:32.62
Okay.
00:51:33.39\00:51:33.72
All right.
00:51:34.36\00:51:37.56
break.
00:51:37.56\00:51:37.93
We want to...
00:51:38.23\00:51:40.30
Wendley will bless you
with this song, No Need to Fear.
00:51:40.30\00:51:42.90
No need to fear when
times of trouble come.
00:52:11.19\00:52:19.47
Oppression stormed
beats at your door.
00:52:19.47\00:52:28.81
No need to fear.
00:52:29.54\00:52:34.35
No need to fear
though evil seems so strong.
00:52:38.19\00:52:46.53
Is not for long be still my
soul and trust in God and place
00:52:51.87\00:53:07.08
your life into his hands.
00:53:07.08\00:53:14.22
For he will never fail you.
00:53:15.12\00:53:23.30
You see his face.
00:53:28.60\00:53:32.84
No need to fear.
00:53:33.14\00:53:37.05
Don't fear.
00:53:38.31\00:53:42.62
No need to fear the envy and
the scorn of those who boast in
00:53:51.63\00:54:05.44
what they own.
00:54:05.44\00:54:09.31
No need to fear for what
remains when life's brief day
00:54:09.71\00:54:22.02
is done.
00:54:22.02\00:54:24.56
Their glories are a setting sun.
00:54:25.16\00:54:34.20
But as for me of this I'm sure
God will redeem my soul from
00:54:34.20\00:54:50.82
death and he will never fail me.
00:54:50.82\00:55:02.00
And in
00:55:02.00\00:55:03.06
me I'll see his face.
00:55:06.23\00:55:10.97
And
00:55:11.84\00:55:13.48
he will
00:55:34.13\00:55:36.03
nail you from his love.
00:55:44.97\00:55:51.48
And he will never forsake you.
00:55:51.91\00:56:01.39
You see his face.
00:56:08.00\00:56:12.60
No
00:56:12.60\00:56:12.80
need to fear.
00:56:16.07\00:56:18.17
Don't fear.
00:56:24.58\00:56:25.68
Amen, praise the Lord.
00:56:41.76\00:56:43.03
My little wife's
over here crying.
00:56:43.06\00:56:44.57
I cannot hear that
song without crying.
00:56:44.97\00:56:47.27
It's so anointed and I used to
play it for my dad when he was
00:56:47.50\00:56:52.01
ill and he was actually dying.
00:56:52.01\00:56:54.04
I would play it for him
and it's so inspirational.
00:56:54.44\00:56:57.58
No need to fear.
00:56:58.08\00:56:59.35
He'll never leave you.
00:56:59.68\00:57:01.15
He'll never forsake you.
00:57:01.15\00:57:02.88
It's so beautiful.
00:57:03.45\00:57:04.59
Thank you so much for singing
that song and allowing the Lord
00:57:04.69\00:57:09.29
to use you like that.
00:57:09.29\00:57:10.43
What a blessing it is.
00:57:10.49\00:57:11.56
My honor, my honor.
00:57:11.56\00:57:11.59
Absolutely.
00:57:12.89\00:57:13.40
Well, we've got
about 20 seconds.
00:57:13.90\00:57:15.56
I can't believe this
first hour went so quickly.
00:57:15.73\00:57:18.33
Call your friends, your
enemies, everybody you think
00:57:18.40\00:57:21.10
of.
00:57:21.10\00:57:24.01
help you tremendously.
00:57:24.01\00:57:25.37
And I'm not kidding
you when you do this.
00:57:26.04\00:57:27.84
This is amazing technology.
00:57:27.84\00:57:29.01
Thank you, Brother Whitney
Phipps for bringing it to us,
00:57:29.01\00:57:32.45
letting us be the
first to get it out.
00:57:32.58\00:57:34.05
We'll be back in just a moment.
00:57:34.32\00:57:35.45
