Tell us little 00:08:36.68\00:08:42.22 bit about 00:08:42.22\00:08:43.79 your testimony. How did God get your attention? How did you end 00:08:43.79\00:08:48.19 up in ministry? 00:08:48.19\00:08:49.29 >> The show's only a couple hours from I I was born in a 00:08:49.29\00:08:55.43 church going home. I had that privilege. I learned to read by 00:08:55.43\00:08:58.50 reading the Bible 00:08:58.50\00:08:59.83 and, you know, the age of 5 hours reading the Bible and I 00:08:59.83\00:09:03.27 got sent to a Christian school. 00:09:03.27\00:09:05.54 Then by about the age of 14 or 15, I throw that all away. 00:09:05.54\00:09:09.21 And I lived is a I don't know how to describe, but I call 00:09:09.21\00:09:12.51 myself a recovering. He even today but rank hedonist. 00:09:12.51\00:09:17.85 I think that's the best way. I don't like going into that 00:09:17.85\00:09:20.26 story because I you know, some people will start saying and I 00:09:20.26\00:09:23.36 did this and I did that and I robbed this bank and I knocked 00:09:23.36\00:09:25.99 over the 7.11 and that I didn't do any of those things. But I 00:09:25.99\00:09:31.03 don't like giving the devil air time and wait for my life. 00:09:31.03\00:09:33.87 And I was like and I know young people will listen to say, 00:09:33.87\00:09:36.44 but he turned out. Okay. 00:09:36.44\00:09:38.24 Yeah, but a lot of my friends are dead. Yeah. And so now with 00:09:38.24\00:09:41.88 that, we won't advertise what it was by about the age of 21. 00:09:41.88\00:09:49.05 I came under the conviction that I was going to be a 00:09:49.05\00:09:51.42 preacher, which is a was a big joke to me because I'm 00:09:51.42\00:09:55.86 terrified of public speaking. I don't like getting up in 00:09:55.86\00:09:58.39 front of the room in speech class. I was taking political 00:09:58.39\00:10:01.96 science, economics and philosophy at college and 00:10:01.96\00:10:06.20 that's what would you like fries with that degree, right? 00:10:06.20\00:10:08.10 Because at the end, that's all you're qualified to do is think 00:10:08.10\00:10:10.47 would you like fries with that? And 00:10:10.47\00:10:14.41 I did a speech class. I couldn't make it more than 2 00:10:14.41\00:10:17.08 minutes without turning beet red and stammering and sitting 00:10:17.08\00:10:19.71 down and and like people say, you want to run for office, 00:10:19.71\00:10:22.62 you want to run for office. We you know, you have to speak, 00:10:22.62\00:10:24.92 right? So one day under this conviction, you're not going to 00:10:24.92\00:10:28.72 run for office. It's just a little voice in the background 00:10:28.72\00:10:31.53 saying that 00:10:31.53\00:10:32.96 and I thought why am to get a run for office or no? You are. 00:10:32.96\00:10:36.46 And I'm sitting on the back porch of my house 00:10:36.46\00:10:39.93 from really blunt about it. I was smoking a cigarette 00:10:39.93\00:10:43.61 staring up at the stars saying I'm going to run for office. 00:10:43.61\00:10:46.04 That's what I meant. No, you're going to be a preacher. So I 00:10:46.04\00:10:48.71 called my girlfriend 00:10:48.71\00:10:50.55 at the time and I said, yeah, I got something to flow past 00:10:50.55\00:10:53.38 year. I'm going to be a preacher. 00:10:53.38\00:10:55.88 And I thought that she would laugh. And she said now I've 00:10:55.88\00:10:59.15 known that since the day I met you all. Yeah, what women are 00:10:59.15\00:11:02.46 so much smarter than we are now like Mary, 30 years in 2 weeks. 00:11:02.46\00:11:08.06 And and I still don't understand my wife. She figured 00:11:08.06\00:11:11.77 me out in 3 minutes flat. 3 minutes flat. And from there, 00:11:11.77\00:11:16.67 I thought, where am I going to go? I started attending church 00:11:16.67\00:11:19.17 is I started going to new believers classes. And I found 00:11:19.17\00:11:22.38 all these churches that didn't believe the Bible is the word 00:11:22.38\00:11:24.95 of God. It was just and I finally said, 00:11:24.95\00:11:29.15 here's the deal. I'm going to the ministry. If you show me 00:11:29.15\00:11:31.85 where the people are that believe what I'm reading in 00:11:31.85\00:11:34.39 scripture and scripture, I'd seen things like revelation 13 00:11:34.39\00:11:38.16 and the beast power. And I, you know, political science major 00:11:38.16\00:11:41.16 started put those dots together. I found the Sabbath 00:11:41.16\00:11:43.90 in the Bible. I sit 00:11:43.90\00:11:45.30 and I knew that night when I said, hey, more show me where 00:11:45.30\00:11:48.00 those people are now going. The ministry. They don't exist. 00:11:48.00\00:11:50.51 And, you know, we're running for office next next month. 00:11:50.51\00:11:53.31 I got an invite to an evangelistic meeting the next 00:11:53.31\00:11:55.61 day. The next day. My brother got a hand bill in the mail. 00:11:55.61\00:11:59.88 And if you're under the age of 40 handbills, how we used to 00:11:59.88\00:12:03.69 have her tied it in the mailbox and people, it's like a flyer. 00:12:03.69\00:12:08.19 And 00:12:08.19\00:12:09.96 in my brother actually I didn't get my brother got the hand 00:12:09.96\00:12:13.23 bill and he said we should go to this should go go to what he 00:12:13.23\00:12:16.06 says. The preacher said preacher, just come on. We can 00:12:16.06\00:12:19.07 heckle. Oh, that sounds like fun. So we went down there to 00:12:19.07\00:12:22.00 heckle the preacher. And 6 weeks later I was in a Baptist 00:12:22.00\00:12:24.81 re. Well, can the church baptized me hired me as their 00:12:24.81\00:12:29.21 associate pastor about a year later? Wow. Yeah. And I started 00:12:29.21\00:12:33.11 giving Bible studies holding evangelist meetings. My first 00:12:33.11\00:12:36.12 evangelist meeting was 3 months after my baptism and hook. 00:12:36.12\00:12:39.82 I've been doing it now for 30 years. Living on the Sawdust 00:12:39.82\00:12:42.29 Trail. Yeah. 00:12:42.29\00:12:43.86 >> And you've been you brought some amazing insight into the 00:12:43.86\00:12:47.60 boys prophecy. We're going to say about that for people who 00:12:47.60\00:12:50.83 don't know. You know, 00:12:50.83\00:12:52.87 I remember that my grandparents listened to the voice of 00:12:52.87\00:12:56.94 prophecy. My mother listen to the voice prophecy. They were 00:12:56.94\00:13:01.14 Church of Christ. But tell us about the history of voice 00:13:01.14\00:13:04.58 prophecy. 00:13:04.58\00:13:05.95 >> HMS Richards was a young man living in Loveland, Colorado, 00:13:05.95\00:13:10.32 where we now live 00:13:10.32\00:13:12.75 and to went into the ministry. He was the first graduate of 00:13:12.75\00:13:15.96 HMS Richards or Camping Academy. He was the very first 00:13:15.96\00:13:18.89 graduate and he came back. The next year is the 00:13:18.89\00:13:20.60 valedictorian. He moves to the Los Angeles area and he gets 00:13:20.60\00:13:25.27 this idea. Maybe we should go on the radio. This new-fangled 00:13:25.27\00:13:28.94 things, a 1920's. So he recorded shows in a chicken 00:13:28.94\00:13:32.74 coop in 1929 and then brought the recordings to KNX radio in 00:13:32.74\00:13:37.21 Los Angeles. 00:13:37.21\00:13:38.71 In those days it was called that have an echo of the air, 00:13:38.71\00:13:41.75 very 1920's radio off radio for why we should go back to that 00:13:41.75\00:13:46.19 kind of radio. 00:13:46.19\00:13:47.39 So tempered UCLA, the air. And then by about 1941, 42, 00:13:47.39\00:13:52.03 they opened the Bible school of the air, and then it became the 00:13:52.03\00:13:54.83 voice of prophecy. And we're about to turn 100 years old 00:13:54.83\00:13:57.87 here and not me. Not not me. I need feels 100 years old, 00:13:57.87\00:14:02.30 but I am not not. 00:14:02.30\00:14:04.17 I'm OK, I'm more than half of that. I almost hold a fair, 00:14:04.17\00:14:06.81 but I'm more than half of 100. But I'm not 100. Okay. So 1929, 00:14:06.81\00:14:11.31 will be 100 years old here in 6 years old. But the voice of 00:14:11.31\00:14:15.42 prophecies become so much more than radioing tells what you 00:14:15.42\00:14:19.32 are currently working on. Well, I just hit 10 years at 00:14:19.32\00:14:23.49 the voice of prophecy. I I I went there in 2013. 00:14:23.49\00:14:28.06 It had fallen into some disrepair. So we re assembled. 00:14:28.06\00:14:31.07 A new team did a lot of praying. And, you know, at its 00:14:31.07\00:14:34.77 peak in the 1970's, it was 170 employees. It was I mean, 00:14:34.77\00:14:39.37 it was a big, big deal. And then it fell into some hard 00:14:39.37\00:14:42.71 times. And when I got there was about 13 people left in that 00:14:42.71\00:14:46.35 pond off a lot of the furniture and equipment. And and I 00:14:46.35\00:14:50.05 thought to myself, you know, I was asked, would you consider 00:14:50.05\00:14:52.49 going here? And I thought I've got to have rocks in my head. 00:14:52.49\00:14:54.96 Look at this place. But then I prayed about that night. 00:14:54.96\00:14:57.39 I mean, the first day I said I'm not going to be peak. 00:14:57.39\00:14:59.29 No way. The Opie voice, a prophecy. 00:14:59.29\00:15:02.26 I'm not going there in the next day I woke up and my wife said 00:15:02.26\00:15:05.30 you're going to go our choice and I have to. Yeah, I know I 00:15:05.30\00:15:08.57 have to go. I mean, the only way to go is up. I mean bets 00:15:08.57\00:15:12.67 yet. So today we're back to 40 employees were working on every 00:15:12.67\00:15:16.91 continent on the planet. And we're really focused now 00:15:16.91\00:15:21.08 not on asking people to support what I do, but focusing on 00:15:21.08\00:15:25.72 churches helping churches win in their communities, lead 00:15:25.72\00:15:28.96 people to Christ grow. And basically we're franchising the 00:15:28.96\00:15:33.19 whole operation. So the churches can become a voice. 00:15:33.19\00:15:35.66 A prophecy outpost called them a Discovery center and and will 00:15:35.66\00:15:40.17 help you what your win. 00:15:40.17\00:15:41.77 >> So when you show your franchising it, what if 00:15:41.77\00:15:44.54 somebody becomes a voice prophesied to 73 center? 00:15:44.54\00:15:48.61 What are they? 00:15:48.61\00:15:49.71 >> They have. Yeah, evangelist a tool that I use. I mean, 00:15:49.71\00:15:53.58 including I wrote a lot of them, not our Bible school, 00:15:53.58\00:15:56.58 but they have I've Angeles tick sermons have been working on 00:15:56.58\00:15:59.69 him for 30 years. 00:15:59.69\00:16:01.49 I've honed them on 6 continents. And I'm just I'm 00:16:01.49\00:16:04.99 given the store away 00:16:04.99\00:16:06.59 because if the Lord doesn't come in my lifetime, I'm I 00:16:06.59\00:16:10.43 don't own any of this anyway. Sure. I spent countless hours 00:16:10.43\00:16:13.70 in my study writing the shows and riding the evangelistic 00:16:13.70\00:16:16.67 series and so on. But I don't own any of that. It's not mine. 00:16:16.67\00:16:21.01 So I want to give it all away because if you know, if I have 00:16:21.01\00:16:23.88 to punch the clock before the Lord comes, I want to leave it 00:16:23.88\00:16:27.75 all behind them that the time has got to be passed in 00:16:27.75\00:16:31.22 America. We love celebrity culture. We love having, 00:16:31.22\00:16:34.79 you know, a handful of our favorite preachers on TV. 00:16:34.79\00:16:37.19 Nothing wrong with that and I can't complain. I'm on TV. 00:16:37.19\00:16:39.59 All are on TV. They have only been in America for 20 years. 00:16:39.59\00:16:42.56 Did you hear what it does sound like a true to you all? 00:16:42.56\00:16:47.70 I want to leave behind the difference. I want to help 00:16:47.70\00:16:50.61 churches. I you know, when I started working in television 00:16:50.61\00:16:53.58 and radio suddenly, I had access to all the best 00:16:53.58\00:16:55.98 equipment, the nicest points. 00:16:55.98\00:16:58.45 And I remembered as a pastor. I didn't have any of that. 00:16:58.45\00:17:01.75 And so I'm giving it away. 00:17:01.75\00:17:03.82 >> Well, you know, that's the new New Testament model is that 00:17:03.82\00:17:08.89 the pastor? The person is supposed to be true training up 00:17:08.89\00:17:13.70 the people. You know, I think one of the problems with our 00:17:13.70\00:17:17.33 church 00:17:17.33\00:17:18.70 and I'm I'm not talking about some day I've been spent. 00:17:18.70\00:17:21.17 Many churches is that the Christian Church today 00:17:21.17\00:17:25.67 kind of expect the pastor do everything it that's not 00:17:25.67\00:17:29.98 biblical. So what you're doing is training the churches to do 00:17:29.98\00:17:35.12 the evangelists, to do the teaching and then they develop 00:17:35.12\00:17:40.66 a real bond with the people they're reaching out to. 00:17:40.66\00:17:43.96 You said something interesting to me and cream that you don't 00:17:43.96\00:17:47.50 preach it to city until you've worked for 3 years. 00:17:47.50\00:17:52.33 >> What do you cause? Because this idea that you can pull 00:17:52.33\00:17:55.77 into a town to get up front and preach in baptize a bunch of 00:17:55.77\00:18:00.68 people, you'll baptize some you always do 00:18:00.68\00:18:04.75 but hits my conviction that we don't convert people. There is 00:18:04.75\00:18:07.78 no way for me to convert anybody ever said Current is 00:18:07.78\00:18:11.05 chapter 2 makes it clear that the natural man doesn't 00:18:11.05\00:18:13.69 understand these things. So, you know, if our idea of 00:18:13.69\00:18:17.36 witnessing in preaching evangelism is converting 00:18:17.36\00:18:19.76 people, you're going to fail. 00:18:19.76\00:18:21.90 So what I want to do is I want to turn over every stone in 00:18:21.90\00:18:24.60 that city and find the people that God is currently 00:18:24.60\00:18:27.27 converting. 00:18:27.27\00:18:28.54 They will come to Christ and they will join the church. 00:18:28.54\00:18:31.74 There are I mean, anybody who thinks about it at home. 00:18:31.74\00:18:34.24 Think about this. When you came to Christ that preacher, 00:18:34.24\00:18:37.05 that Bible instructor, whoever it was, that wasn't the first 00:18:37.05\00:18:41.18 time you are interested. Now, I know you can see that 00:18:41.18\00:18:44.35 God lead you sometimes over many years to the point where 00:18:44.35\00:18:47.49 you are ready to hear that stuff. 00:18:47.49\00:18:49.56 Our job is to get into a town, 00:18:49.56\00:18:51.93 find those people that's a 3 year process and will turn over 00:18:51.93\00:18:55.46 every stone U-turn on every Fossett and town hoping just 00:18:55.46\00:18:59.40 for a couple of drips of water out of each of them because if 00:18:59.40\00:19:02.14 you turn them all on, you get a flood and in the process, 00:19:02.14\00:19:06.44 we want to show churches this will lead to success. There are 00:19:06.44\00:19:09.71 people everywhere are ready to come home right now. You've 00:19:09.71\00:19:13.58 been focused on trying to convince people in argue them 00:19:13.58\00:19:16.69 into the kingdom. 00:19:16.69\00:19:18.25 That's the reason you're failing. Want to go find those 00:19:18.25\00:19:20.79 that are convinced, 00:19:20.79\00:19:22.26 but he go find them and show them where you are. And 00:19:22.26\00:19:24.79 suddenly when we changed our attitude about that in my own 00:19:24.79\00:19:28.03 evangelist ministry, we watched our results go up 5.10 fold 00:19:28.03\00:19:32.03 overnight, 5.10 fold overnight. 00:19:32.03\00:19:34.60 >> And then, you know, you mentioned you are in Rome and 00:19:34.60\00:19:37.57 after you when you're leaving that and when I say he 00:19:37.57\00:19:41.21 mentioned this was in the green room, you said that one of the 00:19:41.21\00:19:45.11 ladies of the church came to you and say it, she was crying, 00:19:45.11\00:19:48.78 but I'm happy tears. And she said 00:19:48.78\00:19:52.15 I just realize something. 00:19:52.15\00:19:55.09 >> Sean, thanks for coming. It was very nice. But we didn't 00:19:55.09\00:19:58.36 need year. 00:19:58.36\00:19:59.53 And I thought that tip, that is exactly what we're after the 00:19:59.53\00:20:02.60 voice of prophecy. You don't need a ringer to come to town. 00:20:02.60\00:20:06.90 You know, there are people who have dedicated their lives to 00:20:06.90\00:20:09.24 evangelism and because they live in every single day, 00:20:09.24\00:20:12.27 it can be a useful experience to have them come. But if 00:20:12.27\00:20:15.51 you've been waiting for 20 years for an evangelist to show 00:20:15.51\00:20:17.78 up, you're not doing God's will. A new dog wants to use 00:20:17.78\00:20:20.82 you. And so we're investing everything we've gotten to 00:20:20.82\00:20:23.95 showing you how that might happen. 00:20:23.95\00:20:25.55 >> And how you can win. Even so you're working on some 00:20:25.55\00:20:28.69 projects. You've got an event coming up in October. Tell us 00:20:28.69\00:20:31.59 about it. 00:20:31.59\00:20:32.69 >> October. Yeah, we're on up. Give a little background. 00:20:32.69\00:20:37.13 We run about the oldest Bible school in the world. The 00:20:37.13\00:20:40.47 Discover Bible School. We've got 2,200 active schools in 00:20:40.47\00:20:44.44 North America and more around the world. And we're just 00:20:44.44\00:20:48.58 created a new set of lessons on the book of Daniel Lewis called 00:20:48.58\00:20:52.38 Focus on Daniel. That would be, hey, control room. Give me 00:20:52.38\00:20:56.58 photo 9. Give me photos. Can you bring up photo 9? 00:20:56.58\00:21:00.52 There it is. There they are so pretty and I didn't do the art. 00:21:00.52\00:21:04.46 But the brand new series on the book of Daniel and okay, 00:21:04.46\00:21:08.83 that was a good show. Let people come to my website to 00:21:08.83\00:21:11.53 find the rest of it. 00:21:11.53\00:21:13.13 You know, put my ugly face backup for half a second. 00:21:13.13\00:21:16.20 So, 00:21:16.20\00:21:17.37 you know, the new lessons are coming out and we're going to 00:21:17.37\00:21:19.71 have a special evening October, the 13th. It's Friday. The 13th 00:21:19.71\00:21:24.55 which makes me smile like to do the Lord's will on Friday. 00:21:24.55\00:21:27.22 The 13th and y'all can stream this yourself. You can get your 00:21:27.22\00:21:31.45 friends to watch it. It will be 75 to 90 minutes on the state 00:21:31.45\00:21:35.76 of the world as it is right now and why it is the way it is and 00:21:35.76\00:21:40.96 what it says about the moment that we're living in. And it's 00:21:40.96\00:21:43.67 designed to help your friends become interested in doing the 00:21:43.67\00:21:46.87 studies with you. So that evening's called ups evil. 00:21:46.87\00:21:51.57 And I brought a trailer. Would you like to see you at a 00:21:51.57\00:21:54.34 road? Here's what that looks like. It's video want. Let's 00:21:54.34\00:21:57.25 roll that beautiful footage. Haha 00:21:57.25\00:21:59.88 [MUSIC] 00:21:59.88\00:22:04.95 [MUSIC] 00:22:04.95\00:22:10.73 war in Vietnam. 00:22:10.73\00:22:11.99 [MUSIC] 00:22:11.99\00:22:16.97 [MUSIC] 00:22:16.97\00:22:21.97 [MUSIC] 00:22:21.97\00:22:24.04 [MUSIC] 00:22:24.04\00:22:29.81 >> Concerns about the deadly coronavirus in the U.S. economy 00:22:29.81\00:22:33.98 is slowing. There are people who 00:22:33.98\00:22:36.45 [MUSIC] 00:22:36.45\00:22:39.22 >> the country at all land sea. 00:22:39.22\00:22:41.26 [MUSIC] 00:22:41.26\00:22:46.26 [MUSIC] 00:22:46.26\00:22:51.23 [MUSIC] 00:22:51.23\00:22:56.24 [MUSIC] 00:22:56.24\00:23:01.31 [MUSIC] 00:23:01.31\00:23:04.58 >> We're going to have to tune in now for that one. How do you 00:23:04.58\00:23:07.18 not to now? I have to. Yeah. And that's designed y'all can 00:23:07.18\00:23:11.75 watching at home. You can run at near church. You can play it 00:23:11.75\00:23:13.99 wherever you want to invite somebody. And but the goal is 00:23:13.99\00:23:17.36 that they're going to want to take Bible studies with you 00:23:17.36\00:23:19.36 when it's over. Okay. So if they go to boys prophecies up, 00:23:19.36\00:23:23.03 this one's easy go-to upheaval event dot com up. He believe in 00:23:23.03\00:23:26.97 dot com and everything you need to know is there all the times 00:23:26.97\00:23:30.07 and times up to everything, OK? 00:23:30.07\00:23:32.27 >> OK, so now you have any other special event that you're 00:23:32.27\00:23:36.71 in the planning stages for it. 00:23:36.71\00:23:38.61 >> Yeah, it about once a year, sometimes as long as 18 months, 00:23:38.61\00:23:42.55 we put out a little documentary series for churches to show on 00:23:42.55\00:23:46.19 one topic and we've done a few of these like who was 00:23:46.19\00:23:49.12 Constantine? How did he change western Christianity for parts 00:23:49.12\00:23:52.36 and who are the early Celtic Christians? Why did they keep 00:23:52.36\00:23:55.50 the Sabbath and some of these? So a lot of historical 00:23:55.50\00:23:58.77 documentaries, but we're shifting just a little bit. 00:23:58.77\00:24:01.24 And my associate Speaker, Alex Rodriguez's just putting the 00:24:01.24\00:24:05.17 final touches on something that will roll out in April on 00:24:05.17\00:24:09.18 mental health because it's probably the biggest crisis in 00:24:09.18\00:24:13.42 the Western world right now. You know how to deal with 00:24:13.42\00:24:16.02 anxiety and depression. And we've got a generation 00:24:16.02\00:24:19.39 that doesn't have a lot of coping mechanisms for dealing 00:24:19.39\00:24:22.02 with anxiety. And so we're going to show, but there are 00:24:22.02\00:24:25.33 ways to beat this. And there are and there are spiritual 00:24:25.33\00:24:29.13 component sic and give you peace of mind and that that one 00:24:29.13\00:24:33.20 recalling mind fit it will be for parts that remained fit, 00:24:33.20\00:24:36.54 mind fit, kind of like getting your mind in order and sweeping 00:24:36.54\00:24:40.74 it up. And and I've got a trailer for that one, too. 00:24:40.74\00:24:44.18 Wouldn't you know it? And I forget which one guys? I think 00:24:44.18\00:24:47.48 video 3, I'll show you a little flavor of what that's going to 00:24:47.48\00:24:50.85 be like. Okay. 00:24:50.85\00:24:54.26 >> Anxiety, depression, trauma which way everyone will 00:24:54.26\00:24:58.06 experience it. It's not moral failure. 00:24:58.06\00:25:02.50 [MUSIC] 00:25:02.50\00:25:04.83 One beside you recognize cannolis and get the others. 00:25:04.83\00:25:09.17 I where we find find the freeze. 00:25:09.17\00:25:13.84 >> 30 minutes just constantly put on. 00:25:13.84\00:25:17.38 Who cares are close. 00:25:17.38\00:25:20.32 >> And there's the emotional part 00:25:20.32\00:25:22.65 when firms are signals. 00:25:22.65\00:25:25.59 First up. 00:25:25.59\00:25:26.59 [MUSIC] 00:25:26.59\00:25:31.59 [MUSIC] 00:25:31.59\00:25:32.89 >> Some mates me beyond because this is really hitting a place 00:25:32.89\00:25:39.20 on earth. That's in our society. Today. We EU council 00:25:39.20\00:25:42.97 with so many people who are anxious. 00:25:42.97\00:25:46.21 >> But we probably get, you know, 5.10, calls every day 00:25:46.21\00:25:49.74 during things. And let's go. 00:25:49.74\00:25:52.51 >> Yeah, but tell us about the process because this is a 00:25:52.51\00:25:56.32 little different than your typical. This isn't just read 00:25:56.32\00:26:00.89 Isaiah 26 0st 3 that that God will keep you in perfect peace. 00:26:00.89\00:26:06.49 If you keep your mind focused on this is going into a level 00:26:06.49\00:26:11.97 of depth that will really reach people who are hurting. 00:26:11.97\00:26:16.14 >> And you have phd's you've been traveling all over this. 00:26:16.14\00:26:20.18 Want to be, Alex. I can't take a lot of credit for this, 00:26:20.18\00:26:22.68 but my associate Alex Rodriguez's put this one 00:26:22.68\00:26:25.48 together. I said would you be willing to work on this? 00:26:25.48\00:26:28.08 He loves health and health is not just physical health, 00:26:28.08\00:26:31.19 mental health come here and play and it's a real problem 00:26:31.19\00:26:33.92 now. So we reached out to the brightest minds in America, 00:26:33.92\00:26:38.79 the phd's that work on this and some of them praise the Lord 00:26:38.79\00:26:42.10 after a lot of prayer, they should not a religious program. 00:26:42.10\00:26:44.37 But this is important enough that I'm willing to appear in 00:26:44.37\00:26:48.20 this and help people because we do have a tidal wave of of 00:26:48.20\00:26:53.48 mental illness going on right now and people don't have the 00:26:53.48\00:26:56.85 coping mechanisms. So this will be for parts in the idea is 00:26:56.85\00:26:59.95 that you can play this in your church. It's a 30 minute video 00:26:59.95\00:27:03.55 for different evenings or you can do it. Sabbath morning to 00:27:03.55\00:27:07.32 you. Go Thursday night, Friday night, Sabbath morning, but do 00:27:07.32\00:27:09.66 4 sessions, half an hour of professional. You know, we we 00:27:09.66\00:27:13.70 put a lot of effort into what we want the church to be proud 00:27:13.70\00:27:17.33 of what it looks like. So it doesn't look like it was, 00:27:17.33\00:27:20.57 you know, made it home in 1952. But, you know, we put a lot of 00:27:20.57\00:27:25.17 effort into it so that it can compete with anything your 00:27:25.17\00:27:27.84 friends are watching on Netflix or are, you know, Amazon Prime 00:27:27.84\00:27:32.31 and then the ideas that you have a 45 minute study that you 00:27:32.31\00:27:35.22 can lead to discussions. So if you're in the local 00:27:35.22\00:27:37.79 church, you can leave that group and a group discussion. 00:27:37.79\00:27:42.79 And the idea being that by the time we get tonight, number 4, 00:27:42.79\00:27:46.33 we're inviting that audience as we've done with all the short 00:27:46.33\00:27:49.13 series to stay behind and start taking weekly Bible studies 00:27:49.13\00:27:52.67 with the church to go even deeper. In that case, we have a 00:27:52.67\00:27:56.04 special series of lessons that deal with mental health, 00:27:56.04\00:28:01.01 how to find peace of mind had a deal with anxiety and 00:28:01.01\00:28:04.38 depression, anger and some of those things. So there's a 00:28:04.38\00:28:07.78 special set of lessons that follow-up and the ideas for the 00:28:07.78\00:28:11.39 community to meet you in your church and start studying with 00:28:11.39\00:28:15.39 you become a part of the church community because they're 00:28:15.39\00:28:17.76 finding hope for the first time they met. So do you also have 00:28:17.76\00:28:21.16 the special website for? Yeah it I'm glad you asked. 00:28:21.16\00:28:24.90 That would be mined 50 event, dot-com mind fit event dot com 00:28:24.90\00:28:29.04 and yesterday that website was down. So please, if you get no, 00:28:29.04\00:28:32.97 it's working again. I checked just before we walk out here. 00:28:32.97\00:28:35.88 Somebody attacked it and that no more used to that in this 00:28:35.88\00:28:39.21 world. But yeah, and mind fit event dot com and you can 00:28:39.21\00:28:44.02 figure out how you can participate. In fact, you have 00:28:44.02\00:28:46.86 to train on their feet. Yeah. Yeah. And there are 4 trailers 00:28:46.86\00:28:50.66 that you can watch their. I mean, we'll just give you all 00:28:50.66\00:28:52.59 the trailers you you want and what we're going to do next 00:28:52.59\00:28:55.63 week, September 19, unless you're watching this after 00:28:55.63\00:28:58.93 September 19 and we're really running this, then you're too 00:28:58.93\00:29:02.24 late. But September 19, we're going hold a webinar. 00:29:02.24\00:29:05.24 >> Online, you can go to mindful to vent dot com and 00:29:05.24\00:29:09.58 find out about that and we'll show you how to use it and no, 00:29:09.58\00:29:14.88 yeah, that's right. Mind fit event dot com 00:29:14.88\00:29:17.12 event to come. 00:29:17.12\00:29:19.45 >> Thinking there? No, that's right. I thought maybe that was 00:29:19.45\00:29:21.72 for a people. Know this is on the 19th. This is from mine fit 00:29:21.72\00:29:25.09 and Alexan are going to sit down and show you what the 00:29:25.09\00:29:27.56 program is, how to use it in the church had a lead people to 00:29:27.56\00:29:31.33 Christ and so on. 00:29:31.33\00:29:32.57 >> That's I love this idea because this is something that 00:29:32.57\00:29:38.54 we're not doing enough to touch on. And, you know, 00:29:38.54\00:29:42.71 mental health 00:29:42.71\00:29:44.28 is a a a 00:29:44.28\00:29:46.78 topic that you can get anybody to participate on everybody. 00:29:46.78\00:29:51.39 Scott's write some kind of an idea about that. But now 00:29:51.39\00:29:56.16 there's more. I love what you do. What Jeanne is to a need 00:29:56.16\00:30:01.63 for the EU with discovery. Not tell us about it. 00:30:01.63\00:30:05.73 >> Discovery Mountain God has blessed that I married really 00:30:05.73\00:30:10.27 well. Yeah, I totally married up and you're watching tonight. 00:30:10.27\00:30:14.58 I hope I'm not. You are watching tonight, Babe. I know 00:30:14.58\00:30:17.48 that the caller, babe, on 3 of you say you're watching 00:30:17.48\00:30:21.75 and to Discover Mountain was born in her heart. She's always 00:30:21.75\00:30:25.02 had a heart for young people. 00:30:25.02\00:30:27.12 And Discovery Mountain is sort of a radio adventure for kids 00:30:27.12\00:30:33.80 and she's recording season 27 right now. 00:30:33.80\00:30:39.27 A season is a series of shows. It's not necessarily a whole 00:30:39.27\00:30:43.41 year like it used to be back in. So there's 2 or 3 seasons 00:30:43.41\00:30:46.54 in a year. She's doing season 27 on the parable of The Lost 00:30:46.54\00:30:49.61 Sheep. What I love about this is kids 00:30:49.61\00:30:53.88 are addicted to a program. Parents actually use this 00:30:53.88\00:30:56.55 saying, look, you can listen when you clean your room and 00:30:56.55\00:30:59.75 the kids going clean the room 00:30:59.75\00:31:01.86 and Gina, so faithful, if it comes to scripture, it's right 00:31:01.86\00:31:05.96 out of scripture. There's no monkeying around with it. 00:31:05.96\00:31:08.86 There's no making it silly. We remember when our kids were 00:31:08.86\00:31:11.83 little bit some of that, you know, Christian products 00:31:11.83\00:31:14.37 available for kids would sort of trivialize parts of the 00:31:14.37\00:31:17.57 Bible story. There's a lot of fun in the story. That's fine. 00:31:17.57\00:31:21.18 But with the Bible strictly faithful and what's happened 00:31:21.18\00:31:24.85 with this thing, 00:31:24.85\00:31:26.28 you guys that exploded, we we knew it would go well. But 00:31:26.28\00:31:30.29 we've got hundreds of thousands of kids all over the world 00:31:30.29\00:31:33.52 writing in Lori that I've got hundreds of thousands, 00:31:33.52\00:31:36.62 including China. It's one of our top markets is China. 00:31:36.62\00:31:41.83 Kids are listening to Discovery Mountain, another religious 00:31:41.83\00:31:46.33 organization lose over the Hill for me in Salt Lake City. 00:31:46.33\00:31:50.17 And you all know, I mean, they just asked, could we put this 00:31:50.17\00:31:54.21 on all of our digital distribution platforms to share 00:31:54.21\00:31:57.48 with all of our kids all over the world? How Mennonite groups 00:31:57.48\00:32:01.25 in Brazil saying can we get this translated into plot 00:32:01.25\00:32:03.85 Deutsch and from South Africa saying we really need this an 00:32:03.85\00:32:07.42 offer comments. It's it's gone global. And so now Jeanne and 00:32:07.42\00:32:13.19 canned, the PATHFINDERS hip have paired up and Gene is 00:32:13.19\00:32:16.70 hosting the big camper E in Gillette. Wyoming next year. 00:32:16.70\00:32:20.27 So you know how they have a desk. It's kind of like the 00:32:20.27\00:32:22.40 Thanksgiving Day Parade. You always got a couple people 00:32:22.40\00:32:24.64 at the desk telling the audience what's going on. 00:32:24.64\00:32:27.31 That's going to be Discovery Mountain describing the camper 00:32:27.31\00:32:30.21 E for the world market. So they paired up 50,000 kids. Go on 00:32:30.21\00:32:34.88 Gillette, Wyoming. That is they have hope Gillette's ready. 00:32:34.88\00:32:39.72 You know, haha, well, 50,000 your Wal-Mart can support all 00:32:39.72\00:32:45.13 those people, but 00:32:45.13\00:32:46.73 so it's gone. So so well, I think brought a picture 00:32:46.73\00:32:51.47 picture, 8 news from this season's production as Jake. 00:32:51.47\00:32:55.54 He's played by Ruben and Amanda. And we get a lot of 00:32:55.54\00:32:58.64 volunteers in the community to come in and voice these 00:32:58.64\00:33:01.24 different characters. And we've got people voicing characters 00:33:01.24\00:33:03.88 all over the world. One girl in Ireland joins us every month to 00:33:03.88\00:33:07.58 I mean, this has gone global and we're really excited 00:33:07.58\00:33:10.39 because these kids are coming to Christ. 00:33:10.39\00:33:14.06 >> And man him and we're proud of you chain. 00:33:14.06\00:33:17.53 >> Praise God for you guys turned and I heard it the other 00:33:17.53\00:33:20.83 day and my goodness, you get caught up in it. That is 00:33:20.83\00:33:25.07 exciting. 00:33:25.07\00:33:26.23 >> Yeah, unfortunately, though I play chaplain Simon in that 00:33:26.23\00:33:29.84 show and it's a bit part. I figured out what's going on. 00:33:29.84\00:33:33.31 I I show up maybe once 00:33:33.31\00:33:36.51 in a season for about 3 minutes and they keep shipping my 00:33:36.51\00:33:39.95 character off to Afghanistan. I know how bad. And so, you 00:33:39.95\00:33:43.18 know, it's like, yeah, OK, chaplain Simons going to get 00:33:43.18\00:33:46.05 written out of the thing. Apparently I speak. 00:33:46.05\00:33:48.56 >> It's kind of focus on gym for me. It has tell us how you 00:33:48.56\00:33:54.56 will they get married and I know you have to be tough. 00:33:54.56\00:33:57.63 >> Daughters tell we do they are beautiful daughters and 00:33:57.63\00:34:00.54 that you can thank Jeanne for that. Because I mean, look at 00:34:00.54\00:34:03.07 this. You know, 00:34:03.07\00:34:04.27 you have daughters it look like this put me in a dress coming. 00:34:04.27\00:34:07.41 And so now they we do have 2 beautiful daughters. I met Gene 00:34:07.41\00:34:11.91 for her father. 00:34:11.91\00:34:14.62 This was in my pre Christian days. So you'll pardon the 00:34:14.62\00:34:17.69 story a little bit. But I had a buddy. You said, hey, you got 00:34:17.69\00:34:20.82 to meet Rick. I don't want to wreck. We're driving around 00:34:20.82\00:34:23.22 town in his beat-up old car were in college. She said, 00:34:23.22\00:34:25.73 I got to meet RICK'S on that, Rick. And 00:34:25.73\00:34:28.03 and Rick, here's the truth of the story. Come on to my house. 00:34:28.03\00:34:31.80 You know it because he had just bought a case of beer. So we 00:34:31.80\00:34:34.17 sat in the living room and that again, I was not I don't do 00:34:34.17\00:34:37.84 this now. This is 30 00:34:37.84\00:34:40.81 4 years ago. 00:34:40.81\00:34:43.11 And 00:34:43.11\00:34:45.11 and over Rick shoulder, I see a photo on a on a sofa table of 00:34:45.11\00:34:49.68 the pretty nice girl I've ever seen. And suddenly I don't care 00:34:49.68\00:34:53.19 or Rick saying anymore can still see his lips moving on 00:34:53.19\00:34:55.66 them. So I don't hear what he's saying and wonders a break and 00:34:55.66\00:34:59.29 what he's talking about. I said 00:34:59.29\00:35:03.57 that your daughter, 00:35:03.57\00:35:05.03 you wish you could have seen the look on his face. 19 brings 00:35:05.03\00:35:07.94 the enemy right into the house. You know, 00:35:07.94\00:35:10.07 it's like, yes, my daughter. 00:35:10.07\00:35:12.67 She she home. It's like, yeah, well, can I meet her? 00:35:12.67\00:35:19.55 Yes. So she came upstairs. They called for her. She stuck 00:35:19.55\00:35:22.62 her head around the corner thinking that's one of dad's 00:35:22.62\00:35:24.39 old friends. Now here's here. Here's what really happened, 00:35:24.39\00:35:27.52 Jeanne, about 3 under the bus and took a look and realized 19 00:35:27.52\00:35:31.49 ran downstairs and got all that Donald. Yeah. And came back 00:35:31.49\00:35:35.40 upstairs. So I knew I was in good. But she had a boyfriend. 00:35:35.40\00:35:39.53 She's 18 had a boyfriend. You've got to wait 3 weeks. 00:35:39.53\00:35:41.90 It will be over. So I was going away for a few weeks anyway. 00:35:41.90\00:35:45.11 Came back called her 00:35:45.11\00:35:47.41 and it's been game on ever since. Our first date 00:35:47.41\00:35:51.15 was 34 years ago, September 7, just a few days ago, I took her 00:35:51.15\00:35:55.25 to means Chinese food, which has now been Jim for health 00:35:55.25\00:35:58.95 violations. It's been burned to the ground. But I think all 00:35:58.95\00:36:01.62 those that here's what, hey, a dream girl is worth a little 00:36:01.62\00:36:04.89 bit of, you know. 00:36:04.89\00:36:06.29 >> Yeah, but now you you both became the 7th day. Yeah, 00:36:06.29\00:36:12.40 we do this together. 00:36:12.40\00:36:13.84 >> The air we did evangelist meetings the same one where my 00:36:13.84\00:36:16.87 brother got the hand. Bill. I want night one. Gene didn't 00:36:16.87\00:36:20.41 go and I came back and said you've got it. You've got to 00:36:20.41\00:36:22.18 come. Listen to this. It's everything that that I've been 00:36:22.18\00:36:25.91 studying and and more. And she came and she didn't miss any 00:36:25.91\00:36:29.58 after that. And we were baptized together on one arm. 00:36:29.58\00:36:32.99 The guy was a pastor. A 6 foot 5 I discovered is a pastor. 00:36:32.99\00:36:36.09 Don't do this and Leicester 6 foot 5. You're going to lose 00:36:36.09\00:36:39.13 people. But he put us both on one arm and under the water 00:36:39.13\00:36:42.60 together. We lost him this year. I was preaching 00:36:42.60\00:36:48.00 in Calgary and evangelist meeting. And when I got off the 00:36:48.00\00:36:51.01 platform, I got the call. Dawn is gone and on no bond. 00:36:51.01\00:36:56.01 I I was pleased anyway. He taught me how to do this. 00:36:56.01\00:36:59.18 He he had me hold my first evangelist meeting by calling 00:36:59.18\00:37:02.48 me 00:37:02.48\00:37:03.55 he said about you and I do it together. 00:37:03.55\00:37:06.25 I said, OK, you know, I don't like getting up front. But if 00:37:06.25\00:37:09.09 we're doing it together will be a good support. And at the last 00:37:09.09\00:37:12.03 minute, Don, I know you're asleep in Jesus and you can 00:37:12.03\00:37:14.63 hear me. But when we get to heaven, I have an argument with 00:37:14.63\00:37:17.07 yeah. At the last minute a week out, he goes, I forgot I'm 00:37:17.07\00:37:21.10 supposed to be in the Ukraine 00:37:21.10\00:37:23.27 and so you're going to have to do it. I should know. We're 00:37:23.27\00:37:25.71 canceling says already advertised. I'm leaving. 00:37:25.71\00:37:28.68 >> He threw me under the bus and I've been hooked ever 00:37:28.68\00:37:31.85 sense. You know what's funny? Yeah. I was just thinking about 00:37:31.85\00:37:35.42 what you read that stuff home on the past or you're talking 00:37:35.42\00:37:41.82 about. You're 6 foot 5. Yeah. We had a much shorter pastor 00:37:41.82\00:37:46.06 trying to get as high as 6 foot 3. Has he got it down there? 00:37:46.06\00:37:51.80 >> They're both going to I. Yeah. 00:37:51.80\00:37:56.20 >> But it's in. It's OK to laugh at these kind of thing 00:37:56.20\00:37:59.84 called the laughs. 00:37:59.84\00:38:02.41 It's interesting to me that 00:38:02.41\00:38:05.65 you have 00:38:05.65\00:38:07.78 an aversion to public meetings. You don't like to speak. 00:38:07.78\00:38:11.02 You really kind of a person that appreciate solitude and 00:38:11.02\00:38:15.46 privacy. 00:38:15.46\00:38:16.69 >> How and this may be here. When I read about Elijah have 00:38:16.69\00:38:21.66 gone off and sitting in the cave, I'm thinking why is that 00:38:21.66\00:38:24.03 such a problem? That sounds. 00:38:24.03\00:38:25.83 >> Really nice but half fascinating that God, it has 00:38:25.83\00:38:30.04 taken you and put 2 in the position. 00:38:30.04\00:38:35.04 I bet you're an eye and that he has made you so successful. 00:38:35.04\00:38:39.25 Do you see that any fighting got can use anyone who swim 00:38:39.25\00:38:43.95 like he used to speak? I mean, it's just amazing to me. 00:38:43.95\00:38:49.32 >> You know, you don't fun just anybody every day that could 00:38:49.32\00:38:54.46 just make you fall down, laughing hard as can be. 00:38:54.46\00:38:58.57 So there's this comedic side to you. That area is very a lot of 00:38:58.57\00:39:03.04 trouble. And then they're says, Pastor side to you, that can 00:39:03.04\00:39:07.78 turn right around and make you cry. 00:39:07.78\00:39:10.48 So, boy, you're on both ends of the spectrum and there's just 00:39:10.48\00:39:15.28 too. 00:39:15.28\00:39:16.62 >> God usual, by the way, that's kind of you. I I do 00:39:16.62\00:39:21.06 maintain this. Folks have if I can do this, anybody can do it 00:39:21.06\00:39:24.46 literally. 00:39:24.46\00:39:25.59 I wasn't taught to do this. I mean, yeah, I I went to the 00:39:25.59\00:39:28.80 cemetery seminary 00:39:28.80\00:39:30.63 and I did all that stuff. 00:39:30.63\00:39:36.40 I don't know. You put yourself in God's hands mean he'll use 00:39:36.40\00:39:39.57 you and I know full well when I see people accepting Christ, 00:39:39.57\00:39:42.78 it's not because I preach such a fine sermon. And that is a 00:39:42.78\00:39:45.58 fact. 00:39:45.58\00:39:46.61 As matter of fact, sometimes when I'm done preaching, 00:39:46.61\00:39:48.58 I'm thinking that was pretty good, 0 results. Other times I 00:39:48.58\00:39:53.15 walk off the platform and I'm thinking what that disaster, 00:39:53.15\00:39:57.73 what and on mitigated disaster and bearish to Lord. I'm so 00:39:57.73\00:40:02.63 sorry. 00:40:02.63\00:40:03.77 And then the decision start pouring in. And Scott saying, 00:40:03.77\00:40:06.33 hey, you know, you're not doing any of this writing and none of 00:40:06.33\00:40:09.70 it, none of it 00:40:09.70\00:40:11.77 and all it takes is to put yourself in God's hands. 00:40:11.77\00:40:14.41 Yeah, I'm terrified of public speaking. I I can handle it 00:40:14.41\00:40:18.31 opening night before a campaign. I mean literally 00:40:18.31\00:40:21.12 backstage retching into a garbage can because I can't 00:40:21.12\00:40:24.19 bear the thought of walking out there in front of all those 00:40:24.19\00:40:26.32 people. Their friends. Yeah. You know, do it much your 00:40:26.32\00:40:29.92 socks. Yeah. And my sock feet. I go barefoot effect. Get away 00:40:29.92\00:40:33.29 with it. I go in my boxer shorts if I could get away. 00:40:33.29\00:40:36.20 But yeah, I would. 00:40:36.20\00:40:39.67 But you know, it relaxes me. I had a back surgery. No 7 00:40:39.67\00:40:43.74 taking the shoes off. Just feels better. Yeah. There's 3 00:40:43.74\00:40:46.88 reasons. I do that 00:40:46.88\00:40:48.58 one. My back feels better. That also feels really good and 00:40:48.58\00:40:51.38 cowboy boots. Somehow that giant he'll feels awesome. 00:40:51.38\00:40:55.62 Number 2, I once fell off the stage preaching and I was 00:40:55.62\00:41:00.89 saying no word of a lie. VI word is a lamp unto my and I 00:41:00.89\00:41:05.26 didn't get the word feet. I fell right into the front row 00:41:05.26\00:41:08.26 and it's something you did that on purpose on it. Her way too 00:41:08.26\00:41:11.60 much. You knew that on purpose and it was embarrassing 00:41:11.60\00:41:15.14 with my shoes off. I can feel the edge of the stage because I 00:41:15.14\00:41:19.91 just keep getting closer to folks in closer to folks in the 00:41:19.91\00:41:22.98 bright lights. I want to see manner who's under conviction 00:41:22.98\00:41:25.81 here. Somebody really come to Christ. 00:41:25.81\00:41:28.12 And so with my socks on, I could feel the edge of the 00:41:28.12\00:41:30.65 stage. Number 3, others for reasons. Number 3, I have to an 00:41:30.65\00:41:35.82 even feet ones in 11, one to 9 and half of all I buy it. 00:41:35.82\00:41:39.66 You know, 10 and a half shoe and don't wear. So that's you 00:41:39.66\00:41:42.26 know, that's how you solve that. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And 00:41:42.26\00:41:45.10 that's a number 4. Take your shoes off and I'm at home with 00:41:45.10\00:41:48.50 my friends. I'm not on stage. They've been outscored yet 00:41:48.50\00:41:51.94 relaxed me so strict. But then on the positive side, as you 00:41:51.94\00:41:55.68 were mentioning earlier, 00:41:55.68\00:41:57.38 >> there's probably not a better thing in the world to 00:41:57.38\00:42:00.82 see another person that whenever they get the picture 00:42:00.82\00:42:05.35 of who Jesus is. 00:42:05.35\00:42:07.09 >> You can see it. You can see the moment it happens. You 00:42:07.09\00:42:10.03 know, you don't do it. Anybody again. We talked about this a 00:42:10.03\00:42:13.16 moment ago. If you think you're converting people, you're not, 00:42:13.16\00:42:16.10 you know, you're there when God's converting them, that's 00:42:16.10\00:42:19.07 what's happening. And that privilege, people say to me all 00:42:19.07\00:42:22.30 the time, Sean, what about all those miracles in the Gospels 00:42:22.30\00:42:26.01 and in the book of Acts, how come we don't see those 00:42:26.01\00:42:28.41 anymore? We do. The fact is that God doesn't perform 00:42:28.41\00:42:32.71 miracles to entertain the Saints. That's not what it's 00:42:32.71\00:42:35.12 for. I mean, there are places you can go where they pretend 00:42:35.12\00:42:37.89 that's how it works. And you can have, you know, a big nanny 00:42:37.89\00:42:41.79 and do what you want there. But God doesn't perform 00:42:41.79\00:42:44.36 miracles to entertain us. He performs miracles to save 00:42:44.36\00:42:47.73 his lost children. And it's going on every day. I see stuff 00:42:47.73\00:42:51.83 that you only read about in the book of acts. I see people 00:42:51.83\00:42:54.34 healed overnight, but I see I see the impossible happen all 00:42:54.34\00:42:59.47 the time. He and the biggest miracle of all 00:42:59.47\00:43:03.18 the impossible Bility have a nice break center turning into 00:43:03.18\00:43:07.55 a saint in front of your eyes. And you know, you don't do 00:43:07.55\00:43:10.39 that. I didn't do that. Now. God has enough work to do on 00:43:10.39\00:43:13.79 me. I can't fix other people. 00:43:13.79\00:43:16.12 >> And I think it's very important that people hear what 00:43:16.12\00:43:18.46 you just said because some people don't know the power of 00:43:18.46\00:43:21.96 thought. 00:43:21.96\00:43:23.30 >> Well, in some people think that we're out there. You know, 00:43:23.30\00:43:25.77 it's not our job to save anybody. We plant the seed. 00:43:25.77\00:43:29.84 God does the water in God as the convicting the Holy Spirit 00:43:29.84\00:43:33.34 is the one who bring someone under the power now, do we do 00:43:33.34\00:43:37.45 we pray and ask for God's anointing improving message? 00:43:37.45\00:43:41.12 Absolutely. 00:43:41.12\00:43:42.22 We try to give a balance message from scripture and then 00:43:42.22\00:43:45.89 it's God who's doing the work in. 00:43:45.89\00:43:48.76 So it is there anything else I don't want we've got. Yeah, 00:43:48.76\00:43:52.59 let's talk more about before we I know the second hour we're 00:43:52.59\00:43:56.60 going to sit. We're going to some Bible study. We do have a 00:43:56.60\00:43:59.40 fun time in the second hour as we do Bible study on the book 00:43:59.40\00:44:02.84 of Esther Park. 00:44:02.84\00:44:04.27 But is there something else that I don't want you to go 00:44:04.27\00:44:07.74 said, oh, I forgot tell him that this house so much. 00:44:07.74\00:44:11.01 I could go for hours. But again, you know, we're here. 00:44:11.01\00:44:15.32 >> To help your church grow. 00:44:15.32\00:44:17.59 It can happen. I don't care. How did you think your about 00:44:17.59\00:44:21.99 churches? I don't care. How did you think your community is how 00:44:21.99\00:44:25.13 impossible it bullet is right now in recent years up and 00:44:25.13\00:44:28.90 taking meetings in the most impossible cities on Earth for 00:44:28.90\00:44:32.43 one reason. If it works there, it works everywhere. And there 00:44:32.43\00:44:36.24 are people ready to come to Christ in your community. 00:44:36.24\00:44:38.37 I don't care if you live in Billy Goat junction and there 00:44:38.37\00:44:41.54 are 30 people living in your town. On average, 7% of those 00:44:41.54\00:44:44.88 are ready to come to Christ in any given moment at some 7. 00:44:44.88\00:44:47.88 So. 00:44:47.88\00:44:49.35 >> So if somebody, if a local church elder, our pastors 00:44:49.35\00:44:52.22 watching and they think, OK, this is a direction would like 00:44:52.22\00:44:55.56 to try to to become a discovery sent risk of resellers. That's 00:44:55.56\00:45:01.03 what setting up they do. They just go to the P dot, 00:45:01.03\00:45:05.00 go to the Opie dot com or give us a call. We'll help you get 00:45:05.00\00:45:07.67 started. There's a lot of conferences that have already 00:45:07.67\00:45:10.51 set up to help all their churches do it. So how much is 00:45:10.51\00:45:13.51 this going to cost? How much do they how its next much less in 00:45:13.51\00:45:16.95 trying to do it yourself, OK, much less in trying to do it 00:45:16.95\00:45:19.78 yourself. And we're shooting to have join us were shooting to 00:45:19.78\00:45:23.15 have. 00:45:23.15\00:45:24.39 >> 1000 evangelistic meetings here in the North American 00:45:24.39\00:45:26.29 division were already closing in on the first 400. 00:45:26.29\00:45:29.29 Why and to right now we're in partnership with the Michigan 00:45:29.29\00:45:32.73 Conference are holding something like 80 meetings in 00:45:32.73\00:45:35.50 the month of October. That worse is now live. 00:45:35.50\00:45:38.17 And we've got the whole package. This is not just go 00:45:38.17\00:45:40.74 preaching meeting will help you work the community for 18 00:45:40.74\00:45:43.91 months. 24 months open a Bible school hold some of the short 00:45:43.91\00:45:47.54 series like Mine fit or some of the ones that we've done in the 00:45:47.54\00:45:50.21 past. Put Discovery Mountain out there. We've got a vbs. 00:45:50.21\00:45:53.92 You can run the kids that are listening to it can come to 00:45:53.92\00:45:56.22 your. They can come to Discovery Mountain at your 00:45:56.22\00:45:58.62 church. We've got that. I've got a full message of Angeles 00:45:58.62\00:46:02.92 tick meeting. Once you've been working your community for a 00:46:02.92\00:46:04.76 while, it's it's mind, you know, it's got works on it. 00:46:04.76\00:46:07.86 I wrote it. So it's got issues. It always frail. But it's 00:46:07.86\00:46:11.63 worked for me for 30 years. And we designed it such that 00:46:11.63\00:46:14.34 you can fight your own armor. It's not just the sermons. 00:46:14.34\00:46:17.87 There are notes in there that explain. Here's why you're 00:46:17.87\00:46:20.14 saying what you're saying. Here's how atheists are going 00:46:20.14\00:46:24.05 to hear what you're saying. Here's how Buddhists are going 00:46:24.05\00:46:27.68 to hear what you're saying. Here's the logic behind what 00:46:27.68\00:46:30.35 we're doing so that you can start to get creative, but any 00:46:30.35\00:46:33.42 meaningful way so that you understand why it's working the 00:46:33.42\00:46:36.99 way that it is and and have daily workers meetings with. 00:46:36.99\00:46:40.63 You have done that every morning at 07:00AM. I just get 00:46:40.63\00:46:43.10 online on zoom? Have workers meeting with people that are 00:46:43.10\00:46:46.37 holding evangelist meeting. So we've got that we get the 00:46:46.37\00:46:48.87 Bible School Discovery Mountain, the short series, 00:46:48.87\00:46:51.64 the preaching meetings, absolute follow-up materials so 00:46:51.64\00:46:54.81 that once people join your church, they become 00:46:54.81\00:46:56.88 evangelists. 00:46:56.88\00:46:58.21 The whole package. We're just we want your church to win. 00:46:58.21\00:47:01.68 >> What I love is that you have a successful program. Any does 00:47:01.68\00:47:06.69 duplicate double. You know, that's something that Jesus had 00:47:06.69\00:47:11.66 his disciples who were following him. Did he sent them 00:47:11.66\00:47:14.76 out to do what he was doing? We need to learn to do the same 00:47:14.76\00:47:19.73 to the church and we need to learn that so that 00:47:19.73\00:47:22.77 eventually incident should be a lifestyle. Not just. 00:47:22.77\00:47:27.38 >> Once a year event. Yeah. And you get addicted. You will 00:47:27.38\00:47:30.88 you promise you you'll get addicted. I have a horrible 00:47:30.88\00:47:33.85 analogy. It's terrible. But once the Tigers tasted human 00:47:33.85\00:47:37.59 blood, you have to shoot it because that's all at once. 00:47:37.59\00:47:40.19 Once you see somebody come to Christ, you know, the only way 00:47:40.19\00:47:42.72 to stop horrible people, horrible. A lot about the best 00:47:42.72\00:47:46.09 one I've got. But the only way to stop you after you see 00:47:46.09\00:47:49.00 someone come to Christ is to shoot you because you're just 00:47:49.00\00:47:51.30 going on. 00:47:51.30\00:47:52.80 Here's the issue. We think. And by all means Bible study 00:47:52.80\00:47:57.31 and prayer are essential to Christian growth. 00:47:57.31\00:48:00.48 You can't live without it. I spend 2, 3, hours a day in 00:48:00.48\00:48:03.38 the Bible, usually from 10 at night to one in the morning or 00:48:03.38\00:48:06.58 11 till 2 prayer essential. But if that's all you do, 00:48:06.58\00:48:10.65 lock yourself away in your home with your mood, you will never 00:48:10.65\00:48:13.96 grow as a Christian. 00:48:13.96\00:48:15.22 >> Why you learn to teach, teach to learn you do. 00:48:15.22\00:48:18.76 >> There's a beautiful book that I happen to love called 00:48:18.76\00:48:21.13 Steps to Christ and it's just one of most insightful book 00:48:21.13\00:48:23.90 said overseen and on Page 80. That's how many times I've read 00:48:23.90\00:48:26.87 it 00:48:26.87\00:48:28.40 is she makes this observation. The author that says the only 00:48:28.40\00:48:31.54 way to grow and grace, not one of the ways, but the only way 00:48:31.54\00:48:34.58 is to disinterested Lee work for the benefit of others that 00:48:34.58\00:48:37.31 need. It's not one of the ways. It's the only way suddenly if 00:48:37.31\00:48:41.08 you weren't working, if you're sweating and get 70 with Jesus 00:48:41.08\00:48:44.32 for souls, 00:48:44.32\00:48:45.85 suddenly this Bible makes sense. You're going to come up 00:48:45.85\00:48:48.92 against problems. 00:48:48.92\00:48:50.36 You don't know how to solve. You're going to have to spend a 00:48:50.36\00:48:52.89 lot more time in here in your prayers going to be for others. 00:48:52.89\00:48:56.77 You know, we always worry, am I good enough for my good enough 00:48:56.77\00:48:59.17 in my being sanctified you you are, 00:48:59.17\00:49:02.87 but you're often in the way because your favorite subject 00:49:02.87\00:49:05.51 is, you know, and so you're worried, like, are you carry 00:49:05.51\00:49:08.68 around a checklist on your belt? Am I good enough here? 00:49:08.68\00:49:11.15 My good enough there. And look at that. I haven't custom 3 00:49:11.15\00:49:13.72 years now. No, but you you had an extra helping of dessert 00:49:13.72\00:49:17.62 potluck. I saw, you know, it's like you just go down this list 00:49:17.62\00:49:21.56 and like, OK, God, aren't you lucky to have me 00:49:21.56\00:49:24.89 and God says to use Old Testament language use, take 00:49:24.89\00:49:27.66 yeah, you speak. You think 00:49:27.66\00:49:30.50 when you're absorbed in others 00:49:30.50\00:49:34.14 self is out of the way in God's free to work on you and them. 00:49:34.14\00:49:38.44 That's the only way to grow if your church is dying 00:49:38.44\00:49:42.71 because you're not doing so on end of the day. That's it. 00:49:42.71\00:49:45.85 That's that's it. You just become a social club. 00:49:45.85\00:49:49.82 >> Now they have a lot of people called, you know, 00:49:49.82\00:49:51.65 they're just very confused as is feel like they have no value 00:49:51.65\00:49:55.06 at all. Right. And their love of places that you go and 00:49:55.06\00:49:58.86 volunteer to start off with. Yeah, I could do was get your 00:49:58.86\00:50:01.86 mind off for yourself and your. That's right. 00:50:01.86\00:50:04.40 You know, so I mean, you're taking a step closer because 00:50:04.40\00:50:07.54 you're dealing with the creator. Yeah, that's what 00:50:07.54\00:50:10.07 miracles happen. 00:50:10.07\00:50:11.27 >> They absolutely do. And again, its eyes off of selfie 00:50:11.27\00:50:15.01 goes out of the way and God can do something with you at that 00:50:15.01\00:50:17.95 point. 00:50:17.95\00:50:19.11 And here's the paradox of it. Anyway. 00:50:19.11\00:50:21.55 If you're absorbing that your eyes are on Jesus the whole 00:50:21.55\00:50:23.92 time, 00:50:23.92\00:50:25.15 if your eyes are on you, here's the problem. If you're actually 00:50:25.15\00:50:27.12 getting better, you're going to look worse. It's a paradox. 00:50:27.12\00:50:30.29 The more it is. I remember we were going to renovate a church 00:50:30.29\00:50:34.03 basement about 30 years ago in the first thing we did was put 00:50:34.03\00:50:36.90 in a new light. So this is going to look amazing. 00:50:36.90\00:50:40.40 You're a good laugh. And you know what happened and turn on 00:50:40.40\00:50:42.44 the light tonight. You can see every flaw in the wall and 00:50:42.44\00:50:44.97 every ripping the carpet. It looked worse. Yeah. 00:50:44.97\00:50:47.98 The closer you get to cry in a white the came into the world, 00:50:47.98\00:50:51.95 the worse you look. So if your religion is about fixing 00:50:51.95\00:50:55.75 yourself up, it's a losing day many because 00:50:55.75\00:50:59.72 if you look better in your eyes, you're drifting further 00:50:59.72\00:51:02.79 away. And if you're getting closer, you look less like 00:51:02.79\00:51:06.70 Christ than you did from a distance. You man and the only 00:51:06.70\00:51:10.20 solution eyes off self eyes off self help somebody and a man. 00:51:10.20\00:51:16.50 >> All right. I want to ask you this question to set up for 00:51:16.50\00:51:19.77 next year. Next second hour, OK, get into a bible study. 00:51:19.77\00:51:25.35 He can't promise. I can't promise to be any good what 00:51:25.35\00:51:29.85 we're going to get the college. Yeah, because we were just 00:51:29.85\00:51:33.05 sitting here today with a mouth agape to this. Okay. 00:51:33.05\00:51:36.96 People have heard you say that the books of the Bible, the 00:51:36.96\00:51:41.76 stories of the Bible 00:51:41.76\00:51:43.40 were relevant to the people, obviously to them they were 00:51:43.40\00:51:48.74 written or directed 00:51:48.74\00:51:50.61 but that 00:51:50.61\00:51:52.44 you said there are more relevant to us today. Explain 00:51:52.44\00:51:56.85 which me? 00:51:56.85\00:51:58.18 >> Yeah, they are look the stories that made it into the 00:51:58.18\00:52:01.62 Bible. You know that there's a lot that happened. Even the 00:52:01.62\00:52:04.85 gospel of John said, if we had written down everything Jesus 00:52:04.85\00:52:07.52 did, the books of the world couldn't contain it. So the 00:52:07.52\00:52:10.16 spirit of God pick didn't chose stories that we're evergreen 00:52:10.16\00:52:13.73 for every generation. So they apply to every generation. 00:52:13.73\00:52:16.53 But what I've been noticing now, 00:52:16.53\00:52:19.27 particularly say in the last 10, 15 years 00:52:19.27\00:52:22.94 is that there are a whole bunch of them that are more relevant 00:52:22.94\00:52:26.04 to the final people living on Earth before Jesus comes in any 00:52:26.04\00:52:29.48 other. A couple of examples. Star of Boaz and Ruth, 00:52:29.48\00:52:33.45 everybody loves Boaz, unruly bright. We just we love it. 00:52:33.45\00:52:36.62 Here's a girl. Whos dispossessed. And here comes a 00:52:36.62\00:52:39.72 guy, nice guy, 00:52:39.72\00:52:41.76 Kinsman Redeemer 00:52:41.76\00:52:43.56 and he's a family member and he wants to redeem the girl and 00:52:43.56\00:52:48.23 the land. That should ring a bell and everybody's mind we 00:52:48.23\00:52:52.03 gave this planet away. The bride has been lost. 00:52:52.03\00:52:55.47 We're Ruth Boaz is Christ 00:52:55.47\00:52:59.31 in. Here's what happens. He wants to marry her in the 00:52:59.31\00:53:02.38 worst way, but there's an issue. And what's the issue? 00:53:02.38\00:53:06.51 There's a closer relative 00:53:06.51\00:53:08.78 in our natural state. Quickly. P closer related to Christ are 00:53:08.78\00:53:12.62 closely related to a fallen angel. Men are natural. That's 00:53:12.62\00:53:16.52 good. So where did they go to solve this? They have to go to 00:53:16.52\00:53:19.19 the gate of the city. That's when judgment was held. Yeah, 00:53:19.19\00:53:23.73 it's the judgment shoot changes hands. That's a symbol of 00:53:23.73\00:53:27.57 ownership in the Bible, right? That's why Abraham was told. 00:53:27.57\00:53:31.51 Go for a walk everywhere your foot touches going along to 00:53:31.51\00:53:34.04 you. It's ownership. So the groom goes to the judgment. 00:53:34.04\00:53:38.88 He wants to marry the girl. He promises to marry the girl. 00:53:38.88\00:53:41.62 The groom goes away, goes through the judgment and comes 00:53:41.62\00:53:44.89 back and gets her. What is haha? Boy, that is really what 00:53:44.89\00:53:49.22 is that? Yeah. That is the judgment seen in Daniel Chapter 00:53:49.22\00:53:52.99 7 Christ goes. He's awarded the Kingdom. The son of Man has 00:53:52.99\00:53:56.16 prevailed. He comes in gets the pride that comes in gets the 00:53:56.16\00:53:59.63 bright. There's a few Abraham, another one 00:53:59.63\00:54:03.24 Abraham sitting there playing to memory. 00:54:03.24\00:54:05.77 God shows up Christ does to angels 00:54:05.77\00:54:09.11 and he says I'm going to destroy S**** and Gomorrah 00:54:09.11\00:54:13.21 and what's he doing informing everybody and Abraham says, 00:54:13.21\00:54:17.35 wait a minute, what what? I've got a nephew in their 00:54:17.35\00:54:19.85 Lord. Surely if there were 50, you wouldn't do this. I know 00:54:19.85\00:54:23.09 what kind of God you are. He said I do. And that's what's 00:54:23.09\00:54:26.19 on trial here. The character of God. You know what I have to 00:54:26.19\00:54:29.76 say. I love the way he says it. 00:54:29.76\00:54:31.93 >> Far be it from yeah, hard. I mean, how good old he was so 00:54:31.93\00:54:36.64 close to the Lord that he could say 00:54:36.64\00:54:39.11 far be it from you to destroy the righteous with the wicket. 00:54:39.11\00:54:45.71 That's bold. It is. 00:54:45.71\00:54:50.15 >> Is the issue in heavens judgment it to us. But what's 00:54:50.15\00:54:53.56 the real issue? 00:54:53.56\00:54:55.92 What is God? His Jesus is worthy of his care. It's gone 00:54:55.92\00:54:59.53 on trial. He puts himself on trial. Abraham goes all the way 00:54:59.53\00:55:03.10 down. But what if there were 10 and finally and while they're 00:55:03.10\00:55:06.13 going through the books of judgment to angels, going to 00:55:06.13\00:55:08.67 the wicked city to save everybody that's willing to go 00:55:08.67\00:55:11.81 in the last days on the hour of his judgment is come and 3 00:55:11.81\00:55:15.78 angels going to the wicked city to pull everybody out its for 00:55:15.78\00:55:18.88 the stories foreshadow last day events. They've meant something 00:55:18.88\00:55:23.28 to every generation. But now the moment we're living in, 00:55:23.28\00:55:27.39 it feels like they're more applicable now than they ever 00:55:27.39\00:55:30.39 have been. It's one after the other after the other, even in 00:55:30.39\00:55:33.56 the New Testament, Peter. 00:55:33.56\00:55:35.06 >> You know, it occurs to me. 00:55:35.06\00:55:39.27 We have to have an infinity focus when we are studying the 00:55:39.27\00:55:44.54 Bible. When we look at God's plan of Salvation Grace was 00:55:44.54\00:55:49.68 given to us before time began. So 00:55:49.68\00:55:53.62 we can go through the book at the Bible. And if we understand 00:55:53.62\00:55:58.12 from the thin to pass, asked to the end times all of the sudden 00:55:58.12\00:56:02.62 everything be cans to make sense to us. We're looking 00:56:02.62\00:56:07.20 through the eye's lens. Yeah, love and all of the stories 00:56:07.20\00:56:13.94 really means something to us. So kind of we just have a 00:56:13.94\00:56:17.34 minute left the U.S. and we want you to stay tuned. So I 00:56:17.34\00:56:21.98 wanted to give us a little tease. Tell us what we're going 00:56:21.98\00:56:26.58 to look at about. Esther Hugh been actually studying with a 00:56:26.58\00:56:32.42 rabbi. 00:56:32.42\00:56:33.52 >> No, well, you know, I've been learning from Rabbi Sam 00:56:33.52\00:56:35.96 sitting with the meant I was in his home. I doubt he'd have me 00:56:35.96\00:56:39.16 over. Haha. 00:56:39.16\00:56:40.93 I really won't know. I picked up some tips from a fellow that 00:56:40.93\00:56:44.97 all bring out the next session, but in our next hour, but the 00:56:44.97\00:56:49.07 book of Esther applies again, more to us now than it did even 00:56:49.07\00:56:54.24 in the day when the story happened. There is a last day 00:56:54.24\00:56:57.28 theme in there 00:56:57.28\00:56:58.68 that has given me a whole bunch of peace of mind about no bring 00:56:58.68\00:57:02.02 it on. Whatever happens happens. Jesus comes after 00:57:02.02\00:57:04.45 that. I go home. I got peace of mind about last day problems. 00:57:04.45\00:57:08.66 I think the time of trouble is in the book of Esther. And it's 00:57:08.66\00:57:11.49 good news. It's really good now it's not. 00:57:11.49\00:57:13.83 >> Or use here. So much fun. But this man really does do 00:57:13.83\00:57:18.90 that. The word got around and he is 100% sold out for the 00:57:18.90\00:57:25.34 Lord. So we hope yet you'll stay tuned. First of all, 00:57:25.34\00:57:29.61 don't forget to go to be P dot com.
