And we're excited because we're now in 01:15 our 5th installment tonight of profit Way, Mark. So if you 01:19 guys have been following us over the last year, so myself 01:23 and Pastor James Rafferty have been taking on the books of 01:26 Daniel and revelation, we started out in the very first 01:29 presentation with kind of an overview of Daniel in 01:32 revelation, just hitting all of the major prophecies and seeing 01:35 the patterns from Daniel and revelation and how they all fit 01:38 together. And then we decided, you know, when to go back and 01:41 revisit some of these, go now take the microscope out and go 01:45 a little deeper and see how each one of these major profit 01:48 passages in both Daniel revelation, how they develop 01:51 and what they reveal to us about the gospel. And so we 01:54 started in our second one in Daniel 2. And then we've also 01:57 had a presentation in debt from Daniel 7. And then our last one 02:01 was in Daniel Chapter 8. And tonight, Lou, I'm so 02:04 excited because we're taking on probably my favorite prophecy 02:08 and all the Bible, the 70 weeks prophecy as we find right there 02:11 in Daniel Chapter 9. It shows us where we are and it helps us to put the 02:51 puzzle pieces together where they belong so we can put them 02:54 in their proper place. You know what I want? And so just tell us little bit 04:22 about what you've been, what some of the things you've been 04:25 working on lately with some of the things you've been 04:26 studying, what's been happening in the world of James Rafferty. 04:29 Haha. Well, prophecy, prophecy, prophecy. It's always a 04:33 pleasure to get into the word of God and to dig into see more 04:37 and more of Christ, which is the center of Bible prophecy. 04:40 And that's we're going tonight tonight. We're going to be 04:42 looking at Daniel has that type of Christ and how Daniel 04:46 approaches God 04:47 helps got to give them a vision really, of Jesus Christ. 04:51 And that's when damage after 9 is all about about Jesus. 04:54 He's the center of that prophecy. So just glad to be 04:57 here to be able to to to give some insights from ice 05:01 perspective. I'm looking forward to you know what, 05:04 you have to Share Dakota. Depends time. Yes. And people 05:17 are looking for answers and the answer is found from Genesis to 05:20 revelation. The answer is found in Jesus. He's the center 05:23 prophecy that women have John Chapter 13 verse 19. I told you 05:26 before it comes to pass when it comes to pass. I believe that. 05:28 I mean, that's right. That's right. That's when an already 05:31 getting already. I know. Yeah, good to just just giving 05:34 us a little snack before we get into the main meal. But we're 05:37 just going to miss this program. We're going to be diving into probably one of the 05:42 most misunderstood prophecies within the Christian world. 05:45 Today we're talking about mass confusion on a prophecy that, 05:49 in my opinion, is absolutely essential. It's imperative to 05:53 our overall understanding of some of the other major 05:56 prophecies that we find in scripture. And so don't go 05:59 anywhere and stick with us. Now we're in Daniel Chapter 9 11:10 tonight, taking on the 70 weeks time prophecy that we find 11:15 there in scripture. And we're just going to pick it apart. 11:17 We're going to see exactly what this is about. All right. 14:52 Let's pray. 14:54 >> The father and having thank you so much for this 14:55 opportunity to study were thank you that we can connect with 14:58 having. And you can so fulfill the promise that you've given 15:02 to us of the gift of the Holy Spirit, to teach us to convict 15:06 us, to comfort us, to show us things to come. And most of 15:09 all, 15:10 to tell us about Jesus not to speak for himself, that speak 15:13 of Jesus and father. We want to be filled with the holy spirit 15:16 so that we join this program so that we speak about Jesus 15:21 Christ and that our viewers see Jesus Christ lifted up in Bible 15:24 prophecy. So do that for us. We pray be with each one of the 15:27 viewers, touch their hearts, touch our hearts. Magnify your 15:31 word meant Gore for you tonight. We pray in Jesus name 15:36 and in the praise, the Lord. 15:38 >> So for those of you who perhaps maybe didn't catch last 15:41 program, which would take just a moment or 2 to connect Daniel 15:45 8 to Daniel 9, because you cannot disconnect the 2, 15:47 even though there are some people out there that will try 15:49 to convince you. The Daniel 8, Daniel 9 have no connection. 15:53 If they're telling you that mess don't believe because 15:56 that's not the truth of Daniel chapter. What we study last 16:00 time, Daniel's and vision, he looks out in vision. He sees a 16:03 ram 16:04 and this Rahm has one horn a little raise a little higher 16:07 than the other. And this is a tough for him. But then he 16:10 looks out. He sees a male goat with one horn coming out of it 16:14 said, and he watches as that mail go run so fast and so 16:17 quick and so swift at this rammed his feet does barely 16:20 even touched the ground doesn't touch the ground at all. 16:22 It's it's representing swiftness of conquering. 16:25 And we know that these beast represent obviously kingdoms 16:27 and empires. And we recognize that it right there in the 16:31 scripture. We don't have to wonder who the Brown is seated, 16:33 who the who the GOAT is, because we're told in this very 16:36 chapter of Daniel Chapter 8, that the Ram represents the 16:39 king of Persia. And then we're also told that that goat with 16:43 one horn upcoming of the topics have represents the kingdom of 16:46 Greece. And we see this even consistent in history because 16:48 history confirms that it was indeed the kingdom of Greece 16:51 that overthrew the means in the Persians. But Daniel, this is 16:54 not happened yet what Daniel had received this vision. 16:57 So he's looking ahead when this is going to come living in the 16:59 time of Babylon looking forward of when this middle Persian 17:04 time was going to come. This actually, actually, I was a it 17:07 was actually here in the time about one. That's correct. 17:09 And so is living in there in that time Belshazzar. And so he 17:13 also in the same vision he watches as the Ram heads of the 17:16 GOAT have slayed the Ram. The one little horn was soon 17:19 broke off and for notable points or corn says the Bible 17:23 says grew up in the place of that one horn. We know this to 17:27 be consistent with the history of Greece because Alexander, 17:29 the great who was the first major keen of that nation who 17:32 have to conquer very swiftly to know what at the time he 17:36 divided his kingdom of will. But well, before his death, 17:39 you was asked what he wants you to know what you can go to the 17:42 son of God. Among the strongest it was divided among his 4 17:45 strongest generals that helped him conquer. At the time the 17:48 kingdom of Greece was divided into 4 parts. But of course, 17:51 out of out of the FA for winds of the earth in which this 17:55 nation and this mistake practices in this culture 17:58 stirred up came about another smaller horn, which we know to 18:02 be the little foreign, same little form from Daniel 7, 18:05 this Roman him pie, which was very much influenced by the 18:09 Hellenistic pagan, a stick of practices and culture of 18:13 Greece. This little one comes about and he is he's waging 18:17 war. Not just on the Saints have gotten only would we 18:20 stood. We see this this horizontal war. He's worn 18:24 again, Scots people in the church. But now we see in 18:27 Daniel Chapter 8 as we studied last time, he launches this war 18:31 now vertically against the most high God. He's casting truth to 18:35 the ground. He's tripling up on the Saints. He is he is deaf 18:38 filing the sanctuary. He's casting down all the truth of 18:42 the sanctuary. That sanctuary message, the mediation of 18:45 Christ in the power of the Gospel of Christ that we see 18:48 there. And he's he's launching open war to place himself the 18:52 system in the place of Jesus Christ. We saw all of this in 18:55 our study now. It's interesting because in Daniel, we also 18:58 learn there's 2 different words for vision used there, the 19:02 cause home and then the moderate, the calls home, 19:05 of course, in the Hebrew as representative of the part of 19:08 the vision that Daniel saw that he received interpretation. 19:12 For now, we see that in Daniel Chapter 8 versus 15 and onward 19:17 got give some specific understanding of what the Ram 19:21 represented, what the goat represented, what this little 19:23 horn representative, what this little horn was doing. He's he 19:26 was receiving receiving a very vivid understanding of what 19:29 this means. But then he comes to a part of the vision, 19:32 the 2300 year prophecy that we call it the the 2300 days, 19:37 which of course we're it, which we're told there. And a new 19:39 chapter, 8 verse 14 that to the sanctuary would not be cleansed 19:43 until after this. 2300 daytime prophecy. This time of judgment 19:47 had come. 19:49 That was the part of the vision that Daniel did not understand. 19:52 This is the modern way, the part that he did not receive 19:54 for understanding on. And therefore we get to the very 19:58 last verse of Daniel 8. Want to read this year, Daniel Chapter 20:01 8 verse 27. 20:02 He saw all of this, but they're still a portion of this vision 20:05 that he did not fully understand. It was the timing 20:07 of this. 2300 your prophecy. And he says they're inverse. 20:11 27 of Daniel 80's is a night. Daniel fainted or sick for days 20:15 afterward I rose. And what about the King's business? 20:18 >> I was astonished by the vision, but no one understood 20:21 about astonished by the Monterey, but no one understood 20:25 it. It was the timing of this 2300 years. He didn't 20:27 understand it. And so now it potentially many years have 20:31 passed. We don't know exactly the exact time, but many years 20:33 have passed and now we find ourselves and Daniel 9, is God 20:37 going to leave his profit hanging with no understanding 20:40 or no connectivity of this? 2300 your time. Prophecy, 20:43 of course not. 20:45 >> So now Daniel finds himself praying many years later. 20:48 The perhaps the vast majority of Daniel 9 is this powerful 20:51 prayer. And I do if you want to get into that prayer case, 20:55 someone actually toss this to. You know, I just kind of gave 20:58 us a nice little juice shot over a new we we put all the 21:02 vegetables and fruits to the juicer on and a new way to not 21:05 take us through the meat. 21:06 >> Of Daniel. So Daniel Chapter 9 is the first year Darrius. 21:09 All right. The Senate has the areas that of the seat of the 21:12 meet in person. So basically you can look at Daniel Chapter 21:15 9. Now we have the media Persians fulfilling the 21:18 prophecy that Daniels just finish. And Daniel 8, that 21:21 first part anyway, with the meat and Persians come in front 21:24 and you can parallel Daniel Chapter 9 with Daniel Chapter 6 21:28 0st Year. The of various Daniel is in prayer. He's in earnest 21:32 spring. This is really cool because there's something in 21:35 this chapter. The proceeds the 70 weeks that I call the 4 80's 21:38 right then and there are the 4, 4, A's of humility. So Daniel 21:43 has, first of all this humility of ability, OK, 21:47 he's willing to admit that he can't understand the vision, 21:51 right? How many of us are willing to do that? I mean, 21:53 when you get into the Bible, especially when you've been in 21:55 for a while, look at 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 40 years 21:58 who 22:00 you must know everything and no, actually, I don't. There 22:03 are still things we can learn and we'll learn continuum. 22:07 I mean, throughout all eternity. And Daniel is just 22:11 the example of this, right? He's an example. We don't know 22:14 how he is, but we know he's probably 15 or 16 when the 22:17 Babylon. We know that Joe Akim probably continue to reign for 22:20 another 8 years and totals 11 versus 3rd year when Danny went 22:23 in. So you've got a 15 or 16 year-old a teenager. You've got 22:28 another 8 years on. That's that's 23. Then you've got that 22:33 final captivity. That final destination. That's when the 70 22:36 year starts, right? Right at 70 on a 23. And you've got 93 22:41 years mean the skies getting up there. We don't know exactly 22:44 what it was, but he's getting up there, right? And in this 22:47 time frame, he starting to realize, OK, me dispersions, 22:49 that means the 70 years or over. That means I need to go 22:53 back and I need to study. I just started Jeremiah Wright. 22:56 I study the Bible, right? See what we there's a choice 23:00 that we have. One comes to prophecy. I was just on the 23:01 phone with a man who might be watching right now. And we're 23:04 talking about, you know, Daniel 8, Daniel Mine and all these 23:07 prophecies. And he was shared with me the stiffen ideas. 23:10 Some of them are based on the violence on the work history 23:13 here. History there. This happened there. This happened 23:15 over here. And we've got to be really careful with that 23:17 because a lot of times people can take Bible prophecy and use 23:21 current events, world events to interpret the Bible, right? 23:24 We must let the Bible interprets selfish or and then 23:27 with that current events establish a confirm that 23:29 interpretation. That's right. So that's what Daniel. So you 23:32 give us an example of that. And the first examples given us 23:34 is, you know what? I don't have the ability to understand and I 23:37 and just on this guy's been in. He's 97 years old. Okay. 23:41 Maybe 80's. We don't know. He's been in for a while and 23:44 he's willing to admit I don't have that ability to understand 23:47 this night any. And so what does he do? He goes back to the 23:49 Bible. He goes to the gym. I figured it out. And as soon 23:52 as she goes to look at your my second day 23:54 and this is found in verse 3, it's humility of action. 23:59 I set my face unto the Lord to seek by prayer by supplications 24:03 by fasting by set caused by ashes. That means humility, 24:07 right? Sackcloth and ashes. He sets his face, too, seek to 24:12 understand not just by reading the word of God but by Wayne of 24:16 what he's reading. Right? You guys, you know the action. 24:18 The next thing you have in verse 5, his humility off 24:21 attitude, right? Humility ability can't do this humility 24:25 action of the fast and pray and you million attitude we have 24:29 sent. Now we call call this this we attitude which which 24:33 goes all the way down through these versus almost to the 24:36 point where Gabriel comes, we have sun. We have this. We 24:39 haven't fallen. We haven't down. We haven't kept all of 24:42 that is what we call corporate repentance, right? He's 24:46 acknowledging repenting for the sins of his nation. So he was 24:50 part of it. The office of that is of them in a spirit for. 24:53 I don't understand that. Sometimes we use the word 24:55 corporal. We think all that's talking about the organization 24:58 was not on what the organization is talking about. 24:59 The family got to talk about the fact to a part of the 25:02 family of God and the greatest manifestation of this which is 25:06 jumping way ahead here. We'll get back into it. 25:08 We get to accept 10 is Christ Christ went down to the Jordan 25:12 be baptized of John the Baptizer and John, the Baptizer 25:15 saw him. He said no way. This is a patches and for a 25:19 pittance. I can't even open your shoelaces. I mean, I can't 25:22 even touch. This is no way in crisis. 25:26 That would be so because we knew Phillip, all 25:28 righteousness. I'm part of the corporate body on the second. 25:31 Adam, I'm part of the human race and he did. He did 25:34 corporately for us. What needed to be that Dan is doing the 25:37 same thing. You know, John Holcombe and Joe Cam and all of 25:40 these Zanuck hide all of these Prince's, they need to repent 25:43 needed that annual pension for them as them. He stepped in to 25:47 us from the U.S. and we that's this corporate attitude right 25:49 off. So this is a humility. That is your last one. As you 25:53 get toward the end of his prairie comes down to verse 19 25:56 is what he says, 25:58 Lord. Oh, lord here, Lord, forgive a lot. Harkin duty for 26:02 not 26:02 for Thine own sake. 26:05 Oh, my God for the city and the people there called by my name 26:09 and this is humility of a his name was not his glory. 26:14 Do this. So I can be, you know, I remember when I interpreted 26:17 the dream Ville de Nebuchadnezzar and, you know, 26:19 you put me right, second mad. I just had to go. I want that 26:22 again. I want to get back to our was and I were, you know, 26:25 showers are just having a back room somewhere. I mean, the 26:27 queen mother called me all the time, but I want to be a front 26:29 again. No, that's not what you think. You say you got your 26:33 city, your people. This is about you, Lord, for you. 26:37 This is the this is the motive. Yes, right. And so we have 26:40 those 4 A's. And what happens when those forays committed and 26:43 experiences, Daniel actually in spirit and heart, he's prepared 26:47 now to see picture Messiah that encompasses all of that. 26:52 This man, she's us Christ encompassed all of that, 26:54 right? Powerful. He was born. He was he. He grew in wisdom 26:57 and stature, right? His ability was all based on God. I can do 27:00 nothing myself. What my father shows we that's what I do. 27:03 Right? He had an attitude. He was humble. He did come as a 27:07 king or prince. He was a carpenter's son born and lived 27:10 in Nazareth. And and he had this. You know it the way that 27:15 he related to us was a corporate attitude, you know, 27:18 becoming part of the human race. And then he was always 27:20 about glorify his father. That was his right go if I 27:23 could go for it. And that annual has this. And so Daniels 27:26 died of Christ granules also prepared to see what we're 27:29 about to read these verses concerning them aside. 27:32 >> Yes, I love this. I love that. So he's pouring his heart 27:35 out to got Lord. 27:37 We have an 8 we as a nation of messed up. We have sinned 27:40 against you as a nation and he even repents, as you said of 27:43 his own said, Lord, I've messed up and it's a tenuous point out 27:48 heart to God in prayer and asking forgiveness. A little of his prayer data chapter 9 there in 28:33 verse 20. We see here it is now a lot of was speaking praying 28:37 and confessing my soon and the scent of my people, Israel and 28:42 presenting my supplication before the Lord, my God for the 28:45 Holy mountain of my God. 28:48 Gay. While I was speaking in prayer, the men, Gabriel whom I 28:51 had seen in the vision. 28:53 >> Notice at the beginning, which vision is he talking 28:56 about which vision that he see Gabriel in the big it has been 29:00 given a vision and kind it. So, yeah. So this is obviously 29:03 the vision from Daniel, the previous one that we have 29:06 studied, OK, no notice. He says 29:09 I had seen in the vision of the beginning being calls to fly 29:12 swiftly, reach me about the time of the evening offering 29:16 and he informed me in talk with me and said, Daniel, 29:20 I've now come forth to give you skill to understand 29:25 at the beginning of your supplication, the command went 29:28 out and I have com to tell you 29:31 for you are greatly beloved. Therefore, consider the matter 29:34 and missus to export my friends because many people say there's 29:37 no connection between Daniel 8 and Daniel 9. Well, here it is. 29:41 Consider the matter and understands 29:45 >> vision, but it wasn't the cause own. That was the it was 29:48 the modern, the moderate, the part of the vision of Daniel 8 29:52 that he did not fully understand, which was the 2300 29:56 years in the 2300 evenings and mornings that 100 days. And so 30:00 it's very interesting that the next words out of his mouth is 30:03 this prophecy. And it's interesting because we're 30:05 receiving kind of a prophecy when prophecy. And so where we 30:10 go from here, how do we make sense of what, Dan, what 30:12 Gabriel is about to reveal 2. 30:15 >> Daniel, so you want to set that up for us for the 70 weeks 30:18 and you want to just dive right into it. We'll take it. Sure we 30:20 can set up. So yeah, I love that phrase. Fly swiftly. 30:23 The board cable means man of God, you know. So the man 30:26 gableman to man of God fly swiftly. And when we see this, 30:32 we know that it's connected. You just said it was connected 30:34 right here in verse. 23 was connected because he's 30:36 considered the vision. But we also know is connected because 30:39 what you read in Daniel a 27 front, he didn't understand. 30:42 He raced on a sunny, went to study it further. So we know 30:45 that Daniels, prayer, Daniels, 4 A's are all about trying to 30:50 understand that prophetic vision that time prophecy, 30:53 right? The a difficulty with and this is also confirmed. 30:55 Again, we get to Daniel Chapter 12 cars in an attempt to 12. 30:58 It's the same thing. Again, he's trying to understand, 31:00 you know how the times all come together. You understand 31:03 Daniels thinking sanctuary clans that has to do with the 31:06 day. But home of the day of judgment has to do with the 31:08 Earth the century. But there is an earthly century. There's no 31:11 sanctuary. What went to the set that centrist? We're 31:14 established. So but I thought it was 7 years. What's 20 31:17 throughout is that we wait to see the press trying to figure 31:19 this all out and and gable just gets to the point and the point 31:23 game we'll get to that. I love is Gables basically saying, 31:26 you know, I'm going to give you time proximity to the days when 31:28 he beat all this in historical information. I'm going to be a 31:32 lot to you. But the main thing you need to hone in on 31:35 is messiah. Yes, that's what you need to hone in on. So what 31:38 we're going to see here just setting this up. We're going to 31:40 see here is in Daniel Chapter 9 verse is 24 to 27. We're going 31:44 to see a dual prophecy. The duo is of the prophecy. Is Messiah. 31:49 Sanctuary Messiah? Century Messiah. Century. CYA 31:53 sanctuary. Yes. And this is really key to understanding 31:56 what's taking place here. So Kuzma size going to come. 31:59 He's going to complex 7 tasks. That's Daniel Chapter 9 verse. 32:03 24. 32:04 But also there's a time in that first first is a time. That's a 32:08 lot of to determine to God's people, right. And they are to 32:12 do something which miss I actually ends up doing there to 32:16 do something. It's connected directly with the sanctuary. 32:19 And then the center is going to be built in the street. 32:21 Everything's going to be built again and the size can 32:23 accomplish what he came to accomplish. And then this a 32:26 prince is going to come. He's going to destroy the 32:28 century. So you've got this a sanctuary heroism all the way 32:32 through the sanctuary is going to be restored. The center is 32:35 going to be built the streets. Also going to be bill. A sign 32:37 is going to common sanctions going to be stored and finally 32:41 messiah and the sanctuary messiahs going and the center 32:44 is going to be laid waste, a desolate till the very end of 32:48 time to the consummation of all things to the very end of 32:50 terror. And we want to really hit that perilous as we go 32:53 through this process a little side. So what we just read 32:56 through the prophecy first, 24 to 27 and then we'll come back 33:00 and we'll take it piece by piece to it. The code you want 33:02 to reverse us. 27 through May 24th to 27th. Absolutely. 33:08 The Bible says 70 weeks or determine upon by people in 33:11 upon the holy city to finish the transgression to make an 33:14 end of sins and to make reconciliation for iniquity and 33:17 to bring in everlasting righteousness and to seal up 33:20 the vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. 33:23 >> Know, therefore and understand that from the going 33:25 for the command to restore and to build Jerusalem on too 33:29 aside, the Prince Shelby, 7 weeks and threescore in 2 33:33 weeks, the street shall be built again. And the wall even 33:36 in trouble sometimes and after 3 scored 2 weeks shall messiah, 33:40 be cut off, but not for himself. And the people of the 33:44 prince that shell com shall destroy the city and the 33:46 sanctuary and the end thereof shall be with a flood and on to 33:50 the end of the war. Desolations are determined and he shall 33:54 confirm the covenant with many for one week and in the midst 33:57 of the week he show calls the sacrifice and the oblation to 34:01 cease and for overspreading of abomination is he shall make it 34:05 desolate even until the consummation that determined 34:09 shall be poured up on the desolate. 34:12 >> All right. You've got the 34:21 2 elements here to be talked about, right? Yes, no, yes. 35:21 And then he talks in Matthew. 24 about signs the times 35:23 leading to the structure, drew some he said this generation 35:25 will not pass away. All these things will feel so within 40 35:29 years from the time he was crucified, 80 31 the within 40 35:33 years that center was like Tesla. So we 35:46 just let them understand talking about God. Let's get closer. Let's go to 38:01 verse. 24, 38:03 let's make some sense of what we just read here and what is 38:06 happening in the 70 weeks prophecy and what Gabriel is 38:08 bringing to Daniel. So 38:12 Daniel chapters, 9 verse 24 7 weeks to determine for your 38:16 people for your holy city to finish transgression to making 38:19 enough sieves to bring an everlasting righteousness to 38:22 sell of Asian and prophecy to annoy the most. Holy What the 38:26 world is happening here. What is what is God delivering 38:30 to to to Daniel, to his people through the opening of this 38:33 prophecy? You know, first you meet her. 38:35 >> Still ahead, all right. On the like a horse in the 38:38 stall, right? Yeah, to get out of this cycle. Haha. 38:43 >> All right. So 70, we started Turman up on by people in the 38:46 first of all, the were determined here has a very 38:48 significant meaning. The were determined is actually talking 38:51 about to be cut off. The question is cut off from what? 38:55 Well, right, this is connecting it to the chapter is another 38:57 connection today because again, what vision is God trying to 39:01 show Daniel the understanding he said I was reading Aries 39:04 praying to God and he doesn't understand the stunning in 39:06 Jeremiah. He's coming to the realization to 70 years of 39:09 captivity has come to a completion. And now he's 39:12 wanting to know like what's next now, what's next? For my 39:15 people. He's confessing the sins of his people. He's he's 39:19 taking the sins of of of himself in his people before 39:21 God. He's getting in sackcloth and ashes. And now Daniel is is 39:26 given this understanding of what's next for his people 39:28 through this first verse here and and verse. 24 7 weeks are 39:33 determined upon that. People were determined, actually in 39:35 the original Hebrew means cut off from the original vision 39:39 that God gave him an in Chapter 8. Right. And that's speaking 39:43 of that. 2308 prophecy. Now we're not going to probably get 39:46 into all of that tonight. We're going to focus probably 39:48 significantly on on the the 70 weeks itself, but notice this 39:52 as a pawn by people. Right? So this is concerning the 39:55 nation of Israel specifically. Yes, and it says here and upon 39:59 the holy city, also Jerusalem, but it is going to be a big 40:02 part of this to finish the transgression. And then he 40:05 gives a little bit more elaboration to make an end of 40:07 what since it is because what is the children of Israel been 40:10 doing all of this time period? They've been continuing in sin. 40:16 They they rejected the theocracy that they were under 40:18 with gun. God was the pillar of cloud by day the pillar of fire 40:23 by night. God was leading them. He brought them out of the 40:26 bondage of Egypt and now he's he's led them through the 40:29 wilderness and he's telling, listen, I want to take you to 40:32 the promised Land, 40:33 but I can take you back there with you still acting like like 40:36 Egyptians, right? Right? They were God is able to set 40:38 them free from Egypt in one day, but it took 40 years for 40:41 him to get Egypt out of it, right, right. Right. And this 40:44 is part of our own problem to this. This prophecy has a lot 40:47 more significance. And and for fun to do to it that then what 40:50 we just see on the surface, it's this is a this is actually 40:53 God, you know, the stories of the Bible written for for 40:56 admonition so that we also will not make the same mistakes that 41:00 the children of Israel made first Corinthians 10. That's 41:02 exactly right. Yes. So so again, when he saying to make 41:05 it to to make it into sends to make reconciliation for 41:08 iniquity, they had been in a perpetual state of sin from the 41:11 moment that they made a covenant with God, an Exodus 41:14 chopper 19. If I could read that. If you guys want money 41:16 for me to read that, or is it OK for Reid? That's read. 41:19 Alright, Exodus Chapter 19 41:21 and we were going to pick it up. 41:24 Going to pick it up. 41:26 Probably sticking up. If you guys 41:34 have your Bibles at home, please Open your Bible fall on 41:37 September 19. 41:39 Let's pick it up in verse 3. So so they've just been let out 41:42 of Egypt. Now they've come to the base of Mount Sinai and 41:45 notice what happens. Moses went up to God in the Lord called 41:48 him out of the mountain, saying the shell say to the house of 41:50 Jacob until the children of Israel, you have seen what I 41:53 didn't the Egyptians, how a bear you on Eagles wings and 41:55 brought you unto myself now, therefore, if you will, obey my 41:59 voice indeed and keep my covenant then notice the word 42:03 if and then our 2 conditional words, if you will, obey my 42:07 voice in the name, keep on coming. And then you should be 42:09 a peculiar treasure. And to me, above all, people for all the 42:12 Earth is mine. So God was wanting to use of people to be 42:15 a witness for him. Right? Was very clear and notice what 42:19 goes on to say here are 6 and you shall be in to be a kingdom 42:22 of priest 42:23 and Holy Nation. 42:25 That's significant. Got to sing. I wanted to use you as a 42:28 people as a bright light because he's taking them back 42:31 to the to the promise land where all of these hostile 42:34 nations had set up shop when they were in bondage by the 42:37 Egyptians all those years. And he's bringing them back to 42:40 the promised Land. But he's wanting to convert their 42:42 hearts. He's wanted to change their hearts. And how is he 42:46 doing that? What he's about to give them his character, 42:48 right? And Shepherd 20, the character of God is about to be 42:52 displayed. Their gods gods will for his people, which we know 42:56 is the 10 Commandments. And what's interesting here is that 42:59 it says here 43:00 I want to make you a holy nation, right, Moses cold for 43:03 the owners, the people and laid before their faces, all the 43:06 words which the Lord come into him and all the people answer 43:08 together and said all that the Lord has spoken. We will 43:10 oversee an do that was for 6 for 6, a caver Sarver 7. 43:14 I'm sorry. And so that they they speak in verse 8 and they 43:17 say all the Lord has spoken, we will do. Okay. So what we're 43:20 seeing here in and and this prophecy specifically is that 43:24 the children of Israel are are supposed to be 43:27 stopping their rebellion against God right there, 43:30 supposed to be turning back to God, right? So now God saying 43:32 70 weeks are cut off from this previous prophecy and he got 43:36 his determine a time period where they must get their act 43:39 together. Right. And now he's about to focus on the main too. 43:42 I say this is a time of probation. Yes, probationary 43:45 time, period. Absolutely real as a nation. Absolutely. 43:48 He's wanted to get his people to focus back on him. The 43:51 Messiah, the one that's to come. 43:54 >> All right. All right. So I just kind of that's great. 43:57 A great start said every star set up for their pastor after 43:59 the UN. 44:00 >> Take us. Take us on. Why love this? Because you just 44:02 laid a great foundation. So all of the Lord has said we 44:04 will do in view PDA. And how far did that go? How long that 44:07 lasts a very long about 3 days. Right? And they were dance 44:10 around. The golden calf is right. And so Paul picks this 44:13 up in Galatians chapter for talks about the 2 covenants. 44:16 Yeah. The one that's based on what we promised, the Lord, 44:18 the one space, what the Lord promises us picks it up again. 44:21 He was Chapter 8, you know, the bad promises that people made. 44:25 These are going to be on better promises. God's promises to us 44:27 is the new covenant. And then we take that now to Daniel 44:31 Chapter 9. And we put on our new covenant glasses right to 44:35 put them on. And we didn't. Daniel chapter 9 verse. 24 25 44:40 and here's how we read it. 44:42 You've got 70 weeks, right? For 90 years. Prophetically 70 44:45 prophetic weeks is for 90 literal years. You've got 7 new 44:50 weeks to finish. Transgression number one, making end of sins 44:56 number 2 and to make reconciliation for Nick. 44:57 And I love this transgression, cynically, everything's covered 45:00 there. It's all covered, right? You and to bring in everlasting 45:04 righteous number 4 to see what the vision, number 5 and the 45:07 processing number 6, 2, not the most holy know, therefore, 45:12 since this all has to be accomplished. And all the 45:14 promises you've made to me are like ropes of sand, you know, 45:18 therefore, first, 25 45:20 therefore indicates what Ryan, 45:23 based on what I've just said, just based on the fact you've 45:26 got 4.90, is no their star point. They might know him 45:29 giving you this this a probationary time for you right 45:31 now. He's about to say this is when this started when you know 45:34 war than that and more than that, he's going to say 45:36 something else know, therefore and understand that from the 45:38 going for the commandment to restore and build use onto a 45:42 side show before 190 years, OK? Yes, or now 45:48 what does he say? He says that are show beyond Shelby 45:50 Threescore and 2 weeks 111 weeks since one 83 years, 45:54 right? 7 weeks of 62 weeks is right as the new king James. 45:57 Yes, so he's given them for 90 years. But Messiahs coming 483. 46:03 That's right. 46:05 You've got 4.90, years to finish transgression making 46:07 into some a crisis. You're going to bring a lesser rises. 46:10 >> But missiles coming forward. I love this. I'm just going to 46:12 call for a moment to say, I love this. I love this vision. 46:15 I love this prophecy. It because 46:20 >> this is what these people have been waiting on. I mean, 46:23 from the Garden of Eden, I'm Jenna says 3.15. 46:28 >> All the way to this point through through all of the 46:30 properties, all the generations Moses in the product they've 46:33 all been waiting. 46:35 >> For the most I this is this is the big the big thing we've 46:38 been waiting for. And now God comes them. He finally says, 46:41 look, you know, I 46:42 >> I'm going to give you the very year that you're miss size 46:46 can the show. But I'm going to give you want to tell you the 46:49 very year. 46:51 >> That your messiah, you're safe. You're going to show up. 46:53 But the powerful how and when we have the new covenant 46:56 classes on, we realize that 46:59 everything that was to be accomplished by the people was 47:02 to be accomplished through the messiah. The reason he had to 47:06 come before the for 90 years for over is because he's the 47:09 only one that could finish transgressions. He's the only 47:12 one that can make it in the sense he's the only one that 47:15 can make reconciliation for iniquity. He's the only one 47:18 that can bring in everlasting righteousness. Right? So he 47:20 comes in 491 years. 192 years. Yeah, there last year. And the 47:26 only thing that they can do is accept the Messiah. See, 47:29 that's what the new covenant is all about. The newcomers all 47:32 about us accepting the gift the Jesus has brought us and gods 47:36 prophetic people were the first one. 47:39 >> Just to be presented with that gift in their acceptance 47:42 of the Messiah was the major factor by which the as a nation 47:46 would be judged. Yes, because you just as it is for a 47:49 salvation comes to us by our acceptance of crimes. Might we 47:52 accept Christ? We surrender our lives to him. And we we you 47:55 know, we we actually obey obey Jesus based out of love, 47:58 right? We fall in love with him. And as John 14, 15 says, 48:01 if you love me, keep my commandments that I was the 48:03 problem. The children of Israel is not in love with Jesus as a 48:06 nation. They the EU had some faithfuls like Daniel and 48:09 Hannah in the shale and has Araya. But but as a nation, 48:12 they had drifted so far from God and got trying to get 3rd 48:16 their minds back on the main thing and and say, look, 48:20 the messiah is coming, right. And and you have 483 years 48:25 until you see aside a print stolen and we have to get ready 48:28 to see him. This message to the 70 prophecy is very similar to 48:31 our last day message and that we are preparing to get ready 48:36 to see them sigh. And we want to make sure that we understand 48:40 that our acceptance of him is how we're going to judge our 48:42 acceptance or rejection of him is how will ultimately be 48:45 judged for Mr. So Daniels, the one that has come right to lay 48:49 this all out, 48:50 I'm sorry. Sorry gave us the one that's got to this all out. 48:54 Right? 48:56 Never heard of Gabriel before. He's not in anywhere in that 48:59 will test. You never hear now he might have appeared, but we 49:01 know we don't hear about it. Every mention by name. Not 49:04 mentioned by name, right? 49:06 He gives us this prophecy to Daniel and then 49:09 peek a boo. I mean, it's just like quiet like this and not 49:13 even a people. There's no mention of cable. 49:15 >> Until you go now to the New Testament and you fast for the 49:18 test, we go to the book of Luke now, Luke was the historian. 49:20 And I'm telling you what, without the book of Luke, 49:23 We are in a mess of trouble because we've got every 49:26 interpretation and application of this 70 week prophecy. 49:31 I mean, it's coming in from all sides. But all of a sudden now 49:34 you get into Luke Chapter one and you've got Zachariah who's 49:38 a priest. He's going in. And as he goes in the minister, 49:43 the Angel appears to him tells him first 13 fear, not 49:47 Zachariah. Luke Chapter one verse 30 for Nasdaq, crashed my 49:49 prayers. Her the wife Elizabeth shall Bear the U.S. and the EU 49:52 cause him. John, there's going to be 49:55 joy and gladness money going to Joyce's birth is going to be 49:58 going to be great inside the Lord.
