>> Welcome back to the second hour of time. Was healing insights with doctors to rose. 00:00:13.51\00:00:18.95 It just kind of combined talk to David and Sonya 2 rows. Yeah, good to have you here 00:00:18.95\00:00:22.78 again. How is look forward to these protocols cycle with a wealth of medical information. 00:00:22.78\00:00:26.92 And I couldn't prove Hey, you know what? I did the first hour. I finish my water and 00:00:26.92\00:00:34.76 I've been an extra content before the proud of, you know, I will be so hydrated. I 00:00:34.76\00:00:38.37 wanted new barbecue chips. Don't say no, we do say. Thank you for 00:00:38.37\00:00:45.81 sharing the things that we need to hear present war. And I like the way you do it. You making it 00:00:45.81\00:00:49.88 easy for us for those of us who are living on the edge of I can do better. I like encourage 00:00:49.88\00:00:56.35 month that you're being out and it's nice. Sunny, not been. This is helping me good. always want 00:00:56.35\00:01:00.22 lose weight. I'm done. I think I'm done loss program there is. But this one I think I'm 00:01:00.22\00:01:08.66 succeeded on the few. Have you a tremendously? Yeah and down. But 00:01:08.66\00:01:13.67 life is a series adjustments as we go on. You don't just same way. I did that great 5 years 00:01:13.67\00:01:19.87 ago. As long as you're alive, I think they can always do something to prove something 00:01:19.87\00:01:22.81 about us. And I think that's what you're pointing out. The little things not to just jump 00:01:22.81\00:01:26.72 too quickly. And we also have questions if you want to send some, we have some that have 00:01:26.72\00:01:31.35 come in ready give them the phone number. Don't give the phone number. you want e-mail 00:01:31.35\00:01:34.69 those, send them to live 3ABN OTT TV. That's live. >> At 3 Avian DOT TV. Or you 00:01:34.69\00:01:41.43 can text those to 6, 1, 8, 2, 2, 8, 39. 75. We appreciate the questions. We've got some 00:01:41.43\00:01:49.30 questions. Yeah. And you like to hear one. Let's go for okay. 00:01:49.30\00:01:56.08 Here we go. >> I am an S and S t a 7th. They had since 1988. I don't eat any fruit and really 00:01:56.08\00:02:08.59 do. I eat I weigh 275 78 pounds. And I'm 5 feet. 9 inches. >> I love show there. I just 00:02:08.59\00:02:17.63 cannot lose weight. What kind of fast will help me to lose. 75 00:02:17.63\00:02:26.71 pounds? >> OK? >> Well, that's what the programs about. So 00:02:26.71\00:02:29.81 we've talked about some of the components. And, you know, we've mentioned this starting 00:02:29.81\00:02:35.48 the meals. And with these least Evan flower vegetables so that 00:02:35.48\00:02:39.75 is definitely one thing, especially someone who doesn't eat any vegetables. It they may 00:02:39.75\00:02:43.26 say, well, that's that's asking a lot to start with the whole serving. But remember, they can 00:02:43.26\00:02:48.46 choose with that serving as if it's a spoonful of spinach. We'll let that count and they 00:02:48.46\00:02:52.63 say, how's it going make a difference again, we're trying to help people start making 00:02:52.63\00:02:58.44 changes. And it's amazing when you make small changes and stick with him. The power. So we also 00:02:58.44\00:03:03.48 introduce as we go through the program, we've touched on some of this not eating between 00:03:03.48\00:03:07.55 meals and then you touched on the Angie, this other really important one that we're going 00:03:07.55\00:03:12.95 to ask people when they get to the 3rd week or so. The program to start leading off 00:03:12.95\00:03:16.42 the Fried foods and there's a real interesting one. I do a lot of work with indigenous 00:03:16.42\00:03:23.40 Native Americans in particular and was really interesting. If you look at all that we have 00:03:23.40\00:03:29.37 from oral history as well as from all the evidence, Native Americans never fried their 00:03:29.37\00:03:32.87 food prior to European contact. >> Frying foods is a very 00:03:32.87\00:03:38.28 effective way to exposure. Body, too many things that undermine 00:03:38.28\00:03:43.45 health. There many products of, you know, high fat frying their deleterious. But it's also very 00:03:43.45\00:03:46.79 concentrated source of calories really interesting study. We put 00:03:46.79\00:03:51.26 it in our book of high blood pressure. So, you know, our book 30 days to natural blood 00:03:51.26\00:03:57.07 pressure control will cause a table in Chapter 5 research from mom from Harvard looking at 00:03:57.07\00:04:03.61 specific foods. We actually put this in the we're very glad that we've got a good relationship 00:04:03.61\00:04:10.18 with the publisher of the So since I'm the president of of a a Compass health and they 00:04:10.18\00:04:15.95 published the book, we had kind of an in. All right. We've got some of the graphics 00:04:15.95\00:04:17.69 in that free handout. This graphic is in there. If you look at the graphic that shows 00:04:17.69\00:04:23.59 the relationship between foods and weight gain, the 2 foods there were so see with the 00:04:23.59\00:04:28.66 most weight gain were both vegan foods. Vegan foods with weight gain. That's right. And 00:04:28.66\00:04:36.14 here's what the 2 to French fries. >> And potato chips. Hey, 00:04:36.14\00:04:43.58 you can have vegan French fries and vegan and the insurer. That's right. The gun And so 00:04:43.58\00:04:48.35 the what we're saying is we get to the 3rd week we're asking people do for the rest 00:04:48.35\00:04:52.09 of the 5 weeks of the program. As we roll out these fast over the 8 weeks, we say try to 00:04:52.09\00:04:56.73 stick with these things as best you can remember, you can't fail if will. And I mean 00:04:56.73\00:05:01.80 French fries at every meal, 3 meals a day. Every well, just cut down. Okay. Yeah. But we 00:05:01.80\00:05:06.74 love to see you leave off those fried foods. That's the challenge that can make a huge 00:05:06.74\00:05:10.41 difference. As far as the scale. What about the air fry? We think 00:05:10.41\00:05:19.41 of use in the air fry? Definitely a much better choice. Of course, it's putting what you 00:05:19.41\00:05:22.82 put in it. >> To fraud, air fry. I mean, if using, if you're eating a lot of things that 00:05:22.82\00:05:27.69 already come say frozen, ready to fry like, like, say, Tater tots or or something where 00:05:27.69\00:05:34.30 they're still already loaded with oil. So they're very high. Kelly, you're still going to be 00:05:34.30\00:05:38.93 getting a lot of calories. So depends what you're doing. But it's definitely a much better 00:05:38.93\00:05:42.07 option. Then frying in oil because you're getting less of that while substitutes. I all 00:05:42.07\00:05:50.08 of the oil callers actually OK, here's another question. If someone has a sensitivity 00:05:50.08\00:05:58.92 to especially tofu and Knight shades, have to explain what night Shea says. Is there a 00:05:58.92\00:06:06.16 way to remedy this? Thanks. Jas man from Illinois. Thanks, >> Let's let's talk about the 00:06:06.16\00:06:13.44 Nightshade family. First of all. So the night family includes things like tomatoes 00:06:13.44\00:06:17.11 and eggplant and Taylor to do is even not even tobacco isn't the Nightshade Family Tobacco 00:06:17.11\00:06:26.51 nice shades. It's the it's the family. The family of yes, an a C I believe last year, yes. 00:06:26.51\00:06:34.52 So it's that this grouping of foods and some people do have sensitivity to it. In our 00:06:34.52\00:06:39.06 experience of someone really has a true allergy to things often they do have to leave 00:06:39.06\00:06:43.60 those things Sense when we use the term sensitivity, it's a little bit grayer. But we 00:06:43.60\00:06:49.70 often work with people who can't. You know, whether it's a gluten sensitivity, whether 00:06:49.70\00:06:56.11 nightshade sensitivity, whether they can strawberry is whether they have anaphylactic 00:06:56.11\00:06:59.85 reactions to watermelon. So a lot of people have to change their diet in our goal is not 00:06:59.85\00:07:05.82 so much to try to get people eating. Those things is plenty of other options that we can 00:07:05.82\00:07:11.13 use. if intolerance of something different kind of upsets from 00:07:11.13\00:07:16.90 the cool bit. Yeah, maybe it's food combinations or other things that work with. It. 00:07:16.90\00:07:22.37 >> never heard about nightshade. I've been around. I was thinking 00:07:22.37\00:07:24.84 about some. This will be don't know. But as a literally a group foods that are a night Shades. 00:07:24.84\00:07:34.45 And then they mentioned also being allergic to soy products. >> Well, there are there are 00:07:34.45\00:07:37.25 many other >> plant based products beside soy that you can 00:07:37.25\00:07:44.36 use of their multitudes of other Chickpeas, pinto, beans, black beans, lentils, peas, you know, 00:07:44.36\00:07:49.66 navy beans, red beans kit getting users multitudes of other legumes that can be used 00:07:49.66\00:07:56.74 in instead of soy so >> even you may have to be a little more 00:07:56.74\00:08:04.81 careful to avoid those things. If you're truly allergic to them point, ah, there's still a lot 00:08:04.81\00:08:09.72 of other options about the option make its way into the next question. That's one of 00:08:09.72\00:08:14.06 front of the next week because we can talk about fasting. >> I want you to bring week 2 00:08:14.06\00:08:19.03 and talk about the other kind of fast that we talked about. My wife alluded to it, but you 00:08:19.03\00:08:22.43 said that's coming up. Yes. Which will So we talk about the so weak to actually if you 00:08:22.43\00:08:30.11 look at the full outline, yeah, we give people a number of different options. So we 00:08:30.11\00:08:33.98 have some of these things that we're say or more. >> True. Fast 00:08:33.98\00:08:39.48 and other things we talk about fasting from negativity. We talk about fasting from isolation. 00:08:39.48\00:08:45.49 talk about fasting from overwork, OK, and all these things. If you look at them, 00:08:45.49\00:08:50.46 they have biblical basis right? So you with the look at the church with you look at 00:08:50.46\00:08:56.13 community. And so what we're finding we talk, let's talk about that one about fasting 00:08:56.13\00:08:59.67 from isolation. We're doing a virtual program. It's online. So people I mean, you don't 00:08:59.67\00:09:05.14 need to have anyone. You don't need to see anyone when you go through this program. But 00:09:05.14\00:09:09.18 we're going to challenge people to still engage with someone with someone in your 00:09:09.18\00:09:13.92 home. So many your workplace don't go through the program along. If you go through a 00:09:13.92\00:09:20.69 program with someone else increases the likelihood that you will be successful and 00:09:20.69\00:09:23.76 we've seen this with so many programs over the years. Very compelling date. If you're 00:09:23.76\00:09:28.86 trying to help other people as well as yourself, it increases dramatically your likelihood 00:09:28.86\00:09:36.10 of success. >> I like, right. What about exercise? And also 00:09:36.10\00:09:40.31 with that, that's yes. And that's actually one of the things we're watching there to 00:09:40.31\00:09:42.34 fasting from Another way of saying getting some exercise. And that is a that is a very 00:09:42.34\00:09:50.19 helpful thing as And again, with that. You know, we're not telling you to go out and 00:09:50.19\00:09:56.56 start training for a marathon fight. And if if people have certain medical maybe they 00:09:56.56\00:10:05.23 have heart disease or are they have high blood pressure, diabetes and they're 00:10:05.23\00:10:09.27 overweight that so they may have heart disease, whether they Nord 00:10:09.27\00:10:13.84 or not. We always recommend checking with your doctor before you start going on. Any kind of 00:10:13.84\00:10:19.25 you know, any exercise program just to be safe but if Europe and able to walk around move 00:10:19.25\00:10:26.45 just >> you know, walk a little more, do a little extra. And maybe that only means walking 00:10:26.45\00:10:31.33 to your mailbox and back. I you know it. You're not doing anything if you're sitting on 00:10:31.33\00:10:35.03 the couch all day. Get up and just do something and that can be gradually increased. As you 00:10:35.03\00:10:41.60 write that. >> The person that said that they don't eat any 00:10:41.60\00:10:48.81 fruit and really do they eat any vegetables they need start. start eating them Ryo 7. He 00:10:48.81\00:10:53.08 didn't go and again, we're gradually. So we're not telling 00:10:53.08\00:10:59.25 someone, you know, there's a program you can stick with with the exercise. So it was kind of 00:10:59.25\00:11:02.22 give me a hard time about this because one of the things we have in the handout, as we say, 00:11:02.22\00:11:07.03 the idea is to have the hurdles low enough. So you can be sure to clear them, But at the same 00:11:07.03\00:11:10.70 point. >> The lower the hurdles are. >> The less challenging you 00:11:10.70\00:11:17.31 can accomplish to OK? So If you only take one bite of celery, you know, for your and 00:11:17.31\00:11:23.21 count that for all of your vegetables. And if you only, you know, walk across the room 00:11:23.21\00:11:29.15 and to your kitchen because that is your exercise. saying if you're not doing much, 00:11:29.15\00:11:33.49 you're not going to get as much out of it, obviously. So the goal is to make start 00:11:33.49\00:11:37.73 making changes. To head in that direction. >> But the specific 00:11:37.73\00:11:43.40 thing that Sony was give me a hard time with his one of the exercise options we said is we 00:11:43.40\00:11:47.84 could give several things in the hand up. People can can download 00:11:47.84\00:11:51.01 it and get it. But Tom, one of them was just taking a minute. 00:11:51.01\00:11:57.75 >> An hour. >> To get up and do something. So if if if if getting on a regular exercise 00:11:57.75\00:12:01.52 programs that sounds too big, just don't sit in one place for more than 60 minutes at the you 00:12:01.52\00:12:08.69 know, we have the brake on 3ABN they're going to get up, OK, they're not going to sit at the 00:12:08.69\00:12:13.73 commercial break. If they're going to watch TV all day, it's not the ideal weight loss 00:12:13.73\00:12:18.57 program granted, but at least going to get up one minute of every hour people say, OK, and 00:12:18.57\00:12:24.07 those that. >> This is this is small. But these are sustainable 00:12:24.07\00:12:28.44 things for many people that they can do in these things can be additive over time. You just 00:12:28.44\00:12:33.68 say yeah, we have the Apple Watch and smart watch and just time spent on the stand and 00:12:33.68\00:12:39.59 yeah, it sometime tonight we have the circle that kind of measures are activity during 00:12:39.59\00:12:43.26 the day. And there's some days. I'm just so concentrate writing. So concentrating on 00:12:43.26\00:12:49.03 typing, am I my watch was sending a signal. You can still do it. If you start now. 00:12:49.03\00:12:56.60 Haha, you know, case it's calls because I put profile together as to how many steps 00:12:56.60\00:12:59.21 I want to do it today we get more exercise. And it reminds me and then, you know, my wife 00:12:59.21\00:13:05.88 to say I did I how many steps I did. 15,000 steps a day. I remember one within a we want 00:13:05.88\00:13:16.29 it electronic convention in Las Vegas. And I thought, you know what, the convention 00:13:16.29\00:13:19.56 center, I could see the hotel from just can hardly walk. I had no idea. At the end of the 00:13:19.56\00:13:24.90 day when I looked at my watch said he was 13 months today, the next day I felt it. 00:13:24.90\00:13:29.84 Because it was so much as you're walking down this major boulevard. This some all 00:13:29.84\00:13:33.38 nothing. I can see what I could see. This can't be too far away. And I give all I can 00:13:33.38\00:13:36.98 still see And I get as somebody said to me, you actually walk 00:13:36.98\00:13:42.92 that far. You realize that the hotel you at was at the end of the strip. How many miles you 00:13:42.92\00:13:46.22 walk? And I said my wife. I'm in the tub soaking. I'm sore everywhere. Getting extreme like 00:13:46.22\00:13:54.30 that. But I like what you said about don't make the hurdle too low because you don't want one 00:13:54.30\00:13:58.17 bite of salary and say, hey, high competition today, right? >> a little spoonful of 00:13:58.17\00:14:04.74 spinach, huh? Just thought that was If if someone is not eating anything real, that's a 00:14:04.74\00:14:08.14 place to start and the end. If we have visually start eating something we tend to learn to 00:14:08.14\00:14:15.75 like it. We actually like what we eat rather than eating what we And so. It helps you to 00:14:15.75\00:14:24.49 learn to like healthier things. If you just choose to eat it regularly. And even if 00:14:24.49\00:14:27.96 it's just a little bit every day after a while, you can develop a 00:14:27.96\00:14:33.17 taste for it. I always have to shovel with a meal. >> And morally objectionable. 00:14:33.17\00:14:37.91 have any tonight. You know, we had the black beans and the Yeah. Normally I do. Well, 00:14:37.91\00:14:47.42 let's go to the 3rd week. Hey, this low to the next question. This one says fasten caloric 00:14:47.42\00:14:53.42 from caloric. I like Oh, that's a huge one. Yet for a lot of 00:14:53.42\00:15:00.66 people, you know. >> If you walk down most grocery, Stu, you know, most grocery stores have a 00:15:00.66\00:15:04.80 whole. I'll all sides dedicated to soft drinks. And yeah, sugar each all this stuff. That's 00:15:04.80\00:15:10.71 just. Proview Knowles is terrible for your health. I mean, it's loaded with high 00:15:10.71\00:15:18.65 fructose corn syrup, which is like the worst sweetener you can get for your health bat. 00:15:18.65\00:15:24.19 Artificial colors, artificial sweeteners and or or real, you know that. Like I said, the 00:15:24.19\00:15:29.26 high fructose corn syrup. So unhealthy and loaded with calories. And this even the 00:15:29.26\00:15:35.76 ones that have 0 calories. Yeah. Those affect your this study show that those affect 00:15:35.76\00:15:41.07 your. Blood sugar levels, your just like like the others to for diabetes. It's it has 00:15:41.07\00:15:48.54 effects on your body. But yeah, in fact, we had a You had a patient. That was quite 00:15:48.54\00:15:56.79 overweight. This was years ago when and he was drinking a lot of soda. And he decided to ice 00:15:56.79\00:16:05.99 probably as a result of you talking to him. He decided to quit drinking sodas he came 00:16:05.99\00:16:11.27 loose us several months later. He can make. He had lost 70 pounds just from stopping 00:16:11.27\00:16:18.14 drinking. Soda. Obviously, most men drinking a lot of a But it 00:16:18.14\00:16:22.78 adds up to a huge amount of calories. So let me clarify something. So you help me if I'm 00:16:22.78\00:16:30.32 if I'm understanding what you're saying when you made that point about blood >> artificially 00:16:30.32\00:16:36.69 sweetened beverages. So I think what she's referring to is yes, you take that artificially 00:16:36.69\00:16:41.53 sweetened beverage. That itself is not can raise your blood sugar. No. But if you 00:16:41.53\00:16:45.97 look at cumulatively like him a globe in a one C the average blood sugar, what a lot of at 00:16:45.97\00:16:51.01 least some of the research is suggesting that we compensate for that. You don't you don't 00:16:51.01\00:16:56.31 eat less because you had data 0 calorie beverage, you may actually in some of the 00:16:56.31\00:17:02.02 research you may actually even more. So if you look at cumulative measures of blood 00:17:02.02\00:17:08.66 sugar, it's not like That's beverage help too. So it's not so much that that itself at 00:17:08.66\00:17:15.03 the moment. Raise your sugars. That is at the point making the case. I see this. It's a 00:17:15.03\00:17:20.17 to Yes, not the sole reason >> and the other the other thing that gets if you're 00:17:20.17\00:17:27.54 drinking anything with callers between meals, it's causing your 00:17:27.54\00:17:32.85 stomach to have to process that. So it's like eating between meals. What about going to Les? 00:17:32.85\00:17:38.65 I mean, eat before you go to bed. That's one of the worst thing. That's a that's practice. 00:17:38.65\00:17:43.46 That's not good for your health for several Eating between 00:17:43.46\00:17:50.00 meals, of course, affects your digestive system negatively. And eating shortly before you go to 00:17:50.00\00:17:55.47 bed effects it negatively because then it's trying to having to die just and work your 00:17:55.47\00:18:00.61 intestinal system and stomach is having to work while you're trying to sleep and it's not 00:18:00.61\00:18:04.01 going to rest so it's it's interfering with your quality of sleep and it can't rest at all. 00:18:04.01\00:18:13.62 And also, if you're snacking between meals, whether it's liquid, you know, beverages or 00:18:13.62\00:18:17.73 whether it's, you know, snacking other foods. It interferes with 00:18:17.73\00:18:23.13 the health of the digestive system. Also, there's something called the migrating motor 00:18:23.13\00:18:27.04 complex, which is kind of like a housekeeping health maintenance system that you're got goes 00:18:27.04\00:18:33.74 through. Daily, but it can't do that unless you have long enough gap between meals for your not 00:18:33.74\00:18:39.58 consuming anything besides water, that it's finished adjusting everything and then 00:18:39.58\00:18:43.35 it can do this. This house keeping mechanism part of which 00:18:43.35\00:18:50.46 includes a reverse Paris. Also swear it's flushing elkland fluids back up into your stomach 00:18:50.46\00:18:52.63 to give it a break from the acid so decreasing risk of, you know, gastritis and also everything. 00:18:52.63\00:19:00.77 It's just something that helps to keep your got healthier. It can't do that. If you're 00:19:00.77\00:19:07.31 eating between meals. I have never heard of But you know this that is so insightful. 00:19:07.31\00:19:11.75 >> That is amazing. That slight this is put in a practical sense 00:19:11.75\00:19:13.38 for those of us who are not. Click processing, but the pictures. It's amazing. Okay. 00:19:13.38\00:19:21.89 Just think about it this You spend all day washing your car, but you never rinse So it'll 00:19:21.89\00:19:24.39 never drive. So the wat the washing the call days eating all day and then the renting it is 00:19:24.39\00:19:33.84 you just pour water on it. But you just keep You haven't stopped you now. You just rent 00:19:33.84\00:19:37.21 it. You've gone from 7 hours of Washington 2 to 5 when I was just renting it and you 00:19:37.21\00:19:41.34 haven't stopped. And you decide. I'm just exhausted. Now, see a 00:19:41.34\00:19:47.55 body is. He's not during the night. He's trying something point, went to make it something 00:19:47.55\00:19:52.55 before you went to bed. before that even finishes up in the morning for breakfast and sent 00:19:52.55\00:19:58.89 another regiment down and it didn't get a chance to re alkaline the body and prepare it 00:19:58.89\00:20:03.37 for what's coming next. And just give it a chance to rest because we don't think about 00:20:03.37\00:20:05.97 it. I just, you know, well, little bit little just point out something. And so while 00:20:05.97\00:20:13.54 I'm sleeping, if I ate something late, well, I'm sleeping. I may 00:20:13.54\00:20:18.31 be trying to stay physically. My stomach says. I'd like to speak to Yes, not a sufficient. Your 00:20:18.31\00:20:27.52 digestion is and this is a fish. And so that break between meals 00:20:27.52\00:20:29.09 with that migrating motor complex kicks in. >> Doesn't 00:20:29.09\00:20:30.89 seem to kick in. Well at night. And then the other thing that's a huge epidemic problem in the 00:20:30.89\00:20:35.56 United States and throughout the world is problems with reflux. Heartburn. Some people have 00:20:35.56\00:20:44.51 symptoms of the initial burn and Other people are getting complications from it. You're 00:20:44.51\00:20:47.24 taking their airways are up for a, you Fehring's, you know, we're swallowing all and 00:20:47.24\00:20:52.21 really part of the problem is eating late at night and then laying down. So there's all 00:20:52.21\00:20:58.45 kinds of things. Digestive physiology is undermined by many of these practices. So 00:20:58.45\00:21:03.39 really the things that we're talking about, it's not we don't just call in a way not a 00:21:03.39\00:21:08.03 weight loss program. Past 8 is a weight and health optimization 00:21:08.03\00:21:12.40 program. So even people that are thin can benefit from these principles. We promise to tell 00:21:12.40\00:21:19.14 people some pointers on how to gain weight if there are underweight. that may include 00:21:19.14\00:21:24.38 not eating a whole serving of least 7 Florida vegetables at the beginning of the is so 00:21:24.38\00:21:29.72 powerful and helping trim down someone who is under way. We don't want the meeting a huge 00:21:29.72\00:21:35.62 bowl of just green salad when they need you know, getting 14 and there. Yeah, they need some 00:21:35.62\00:21:39.66 more calories. If there is they're trying to gain weight. So sometime we flip the things, 00:21:39.66\00:21:43.50 if someone struggling with weight, OK, I mean, learned a lot time including the night's 00:21:43.50\00:21:51.44 Shane the question, what has on the question? >> What about the 00:21:51.44\00:21:56.88 key? Do diet plan? I see a lot of friends of mine jumping on and they all lose in a lot of 00:21:56.88\00:22:02.32 weight and seem to be doing well. Is this a safe program? Yeah, do. Keto diets have been 00:22:02.32\00:22:11.33 popular and for the years >> and it's true. Many people will you will lose weight on 00:22:11.33\00:22:17.43 it initially. Oftentimes a lot of times diabetics like to do it because on a keto diet, you 00:22:17.43\00:22:24.34 tend to not your blood sugar levels tend to stay lower because it's more protein and 00:22:24.34\00:22:31.41 fat instead of carbohydrates. But most people will not stay on a keto diet. Long term. 00:22:31.41\00:22:40.82 They can't typically because for one thing, people tend become depressed on a keto 00:22:40.82\00:22:48.26 diet. Your your body is your brain's preferred food is and eating a high protein. High 00:22:48.26\00:22:59.17 fat diet is not a healthy and it's just not healthy for your body. For his even for 00:22:59.17\00:23:04.61 diabetics, even though in the short term, your blood sugar levels are not being raised as 00:23:04.61\00:23:10.69 much because you're eating more protein and fat instead of carbohydrates which tend 00:23:10.69\00:23:13.62 to, you know, make your sugar higher in the short term. The Sacha, especially one because 00:23:13.62\00:23:20.73 most people are going on. A keto diet are getting there protein and fat from animal 00:23:20.73\00:23:23.93 products. Witcher even more unhealthy for you. The saturated 00:23:23.93\00:23:32.54 fat in in those animal products. Makes the diabetes worse over the long term because it's 00:23:32.54\00:23:40.72 saturated fat is actually the root cause of diabetes. Because it's worsening insulin, 00:23:40.72\00:23:45.69 resistance. And making your body less able to respond to. We could go through the whole 00:23:45.69\00:23:53.73 process. And if we have time to discuss that or not, but but it actually makes the makes you 00:23:53.73\00:23:57.87 more insulin resistant which worsens, your diabetes over the long haul on and so so we 00:23:57.87\00:24:05.87 we. don't recommend a keto diet in There may be certain where it may be necessary for 00:24:05.87\00:24:15.35 something for his Sometimes. People who have a severe seizure 00:24:15.35\00:24:20.82 disorder, children sometimes they do better on a keto diet and and there is a way to there 00:24:20.82\00:24:28.20 are ways to make do a plant based diet, which in that case we would definitely recommend 00:24:28.20\00:24:32.13 plant based diet. But by and large, especially as a weight loss. it is no, there are a much 00:24:32.13\00:24:36.47 healthier ways to Wow, OK, this is really good questions coming in. Yeah, here's an 00:24:36.47\00:24:42.28 interesting one. I could relate. Why is it when you have been 00:24:42.28\00:24:46.85 overweight and you lose weight? >> You still view yourself as a 00:24:46.85\00:24:53.29 person, Mary, from Washington, where a lot of that comes back to this whole dynamic that we've 00:24:53.29\00:24:56.52 been talking about, right? Yeah. And that is so we have This statement is Aisha new, the 00:24:56.52\00:25:01.16 shaming this plan and we have these artificial ideas of what 00:25:01.16\00:25:04.50 a. >> An optimal way it is. Right. And it may not be realistic based on someone's 00:25:04.50\00:25:08.44 early life history on the intrauterine environment, their genetic environment. So 00:25:08.44\00:25:15.28 here's what we're trying to help people to realize. We're looking at it in and point of 00:25:15.28\00:25:19.68 health. We're looking at and point of helping people achieve the kind of goals they 00:25:19.68\00:25:24.35 have a big, vibrant Christians being able to to hear the Holy Spirit discern the spirits 00:25:24.35\00:25:30.83 voice. All these practical outcomes and maybe you're not going to be as thin as your 00:25:30.83\00:25:37.20 neighbor or your spouse or your sister or your brother. And that's because you're 00:25:37.20\00:25:41.94 different. Then interest research we're looking at just not long ago, my wife and I 00:25:41.94\00:25:44.67 with a look at siblings. So brothers and sisters. >> Who wore same parents? Same 00:25:44.67\00:25:52.48 genetic background. >> But the mother was experiencing 00:25:52.48\00:25:55.48 something different than her pregnancy specifically. She had just a shul diabetes with one of 00:25:55.48\00:25:59.45 the pregnancies and very different outcomes in the kids. The kids who are the products of 00:25:59.45\00:26:05.89 those pregnancies when it was just a shuttle diabetes tend to be much heavier than their 00:26:05.89\00:26:08.70 siblings. And you can't change some of those factors. So what I tell people, they say what 00:26:08.70\00:26:13.47 an ideal way for me. I seen ideal weight is when you are on an ideal lifestyle, that's 00:26:13.47\00:26:19.11 what your weight will equilibrated at. And then the responses will. How could be 00:26:19.11\00:26:23.04 an ideal lifestyle? Well, then I say your best weight is when you're at the best lifestyle 00:26:23.04\00:26:29.38 that you can embrace right now. Yeah. in looking at it practically instead of some, 00:26:29.38\00:26:34.36 you know, artificial thing. Because some of these are artificial things. Whether you 00:26:34.36\00:26:40.83 adopt a diet program or prepackaged Quito. >> Whatever 00:26:40.83\00:26:45.90 may want to say do this for 30 days of 45 day challenge. One of the case may be you tend to 00:26:45.90\00:26:51.97 think that's not going to be the way I'm going to be sustained for the rest of my life 00:26:51.97\00:26:54.21 somewhere along. Well, what the party say, hey, have a plate of food not a part of my kid. I 00:26:54.21\00:26:58.55 it's not part of my program. And then also you realize. Amanda, Amanda lifestyle, I'm going to 00:26:58.55\00:27:07.22 practice that I can sustain that. I live in the real world. 00:27:07.22\00:27:12.26 we have to stop optimizing. So based on some of the things in packaged foods, prepackaged 00:27:12.26\00:27:21.07 foods like. The difference between a real potato, potato chips and paint act like a more 00:27:21.07\00:27:25.14 natural, the better. But I like the fact that you're playing really reiterate this. Don't 00:27:25.14\00:27:28.31 think of yourself as beyond help. I love the fact that you're making this program 00:27:28.31\00:27:34.08 hurdles. Colonel not inactive exact a like that. So let's go to the next week for to do for a 00:27:34.08\00:27:45.13 forecast from addictive substances, including problem foods considered fasting from 00:27:45.13\00:27:47.83 high sugar. >> And high sodium foods OK to tell us about that, 00:27:47.83\00:27:56.64 OK? So. >> Yeah, and it's interesting fact, I just saw read an article the other day on 00:27:56.64\00:28:02.54 Medscape with the title was something to effective. I'm in this study. They found it. 00:28:02.54\00:28:10.52 Sugary foods high. You know. Highly processed foods are is as addictive as tobacco. 00:28:10.52\00:28:19.69 >> Why? Well, that's But it's you know, people have addictive. 00:28:19.69\00:28:23.67 Many people have addictive relationships with food. Yeah, and it may be different foods 00:28:23.67\00:28:28.04 for different people, but usually their foods like ice cream chocolate, you know, touch 00:28:28.04\00:28:34.84 potato chips, some kind of chips or sweet sugary things you never hear of anyone being 00:28:34.84\00:28:42.55 addicted to broccoli you kale greens are soft and you don't 00:28:42.55\00:28:48.79 say oh, >> Mica from batteries that you never hear anybody say. the carriage. Haha, nobody you 00:28:48.79\00:28:58.87 know, the carrot addiction. He made and it's so true >> And then again, with that. 00:28:58.87\00:29:06.71 The reason being up making a fast from the seeing sbragia clean break from the we've 00:29:06.71\00:29:09.88 talked about this many times and other programs. If there's a food or substance that is 00:29:09.88\00:29:14.95 especially a problem for you. You know, if someone if someone 00:29:14.95\00:29:20.36 says or they, you know, they just have to have. This, you know, whatever it is, chocolate 00:29:20.36\00:29:25.86 or ice cream or whatever. You know, they just have to have that every day or if they get 00:29:25.86\00:29:28.66 it, they so I'm just going to have a scoop. And next thing, you know, the whole containers 00:29:28.66\00:29:35.10 gone or they buy a bag of s***. You know that one of the family size bag of chips in all just 00:29:35.10\00:29:39.14 have 5 or 6. And, you know, a couple hours later, the bag is empty. That is a for And 00:29:39.14\00:29:47.65 because you're not could be able to control your consumption of 00:29:47.65\00:29:51.75 it. And so most people just say, oh, well done, just just. Moderation. Just cut down. 00:29:51.75\00:29:57.29 >> But if you have an addictive relationship with the food, you 00:29:57.29\00:30:01.13 can't just cut down, right? Wow. And so there's much more power in clean breaks if it's actually 00:30:01.13\00:30:07.90 a D*** addictive substance for you, whether you know it a food or want whatever its much 00:30:07.90\00:30:14.24 more powerful. Just say, OK, I'm not going to buy that anymore. I'm not going to eat 00:30:14.24\00:30:18.78 that anymore because if you just cut down. You say, OK, I could have once a week will is 00:30:18.78\00:30:23.79 not a lot better than eating it 5 times a day. Sure. >> I can go 00:30:23.79\00:30:27.96 from a family So to people's eyes and one bag of chips. Let me take the reason I'm 00:30:27.96\00:30:34.93 identifying with you is because I know that my problem food is chips S talk about this on the 00:30:34.93\00:30:40.90 air. But you just give me the answer own Let me just to me just tell you why this is so 00:30:40.90\00:30:48.21 relevant to me because I've said in this up and kind of like my whole thing for the year, the 00:30:48.21\00:30:54.72 most powerful question you could ask the person is do you want to? She says that the man the 00:30:54.72\00:30:58.85 pool had been there 30 years. He was in a condition for 38 years and didn't think there 00:30:58.85\00:31:03.83 was any answer the do you want to? and he didn't say I'll do it for you all make you whole. 00:31:03.83\00:31:08.10 He said, do you want to what I'm hearing cars say tonight to me. 00:31:08.10\00:31:10.47 >> If you're preaching my sermon to me, do I want to I want to 00:31:10.47\00:31:14.80 give up those addictive foods like barbecue Honestly. And that's actually the most 00:31:14.80\00:31:21.48 compassionate thing that says life really when you torture yourself, when you do this, 00:31:21.48\00:31:25.58 cutting back. >> Yeah. What you're doing is you're telling yourself this is so desirable, 00:31:25.58\00:31:27.72 but I can't have it OK? I really love chocolate, but I can't this much because of a weight 00:31:27.72\00:31:33.12 problem or diabetes or whatever. And instead of making it less 00:31:33.12\00:31:39.13 intense, it makes a desire greater live a whole life of denial and people throwing the 00:31:39.13\00:31:42.60 towel. If you say I'm choosing to make a break with this, I'm gonna get rid of those chips and 00:31:42.60\00:31:47.64 I'm going to develop new enjoyment. That is really where the powers now, we don't 00:31:47.64\00:31:53.51 make anyone give anything up. But we're saying you be insightful and from a 00:31:53.51\00:31:56.61 Christian standpoint, it's a asked the Holy Spirit. Yes, got if there's something you 00:31:56.61\00:32:00.92 need to make a break with walk away from it and got to give you the victory that right in. 00:32:00.92\00:32:05.25 And I've been telling this, I've been preaching as you heard me, honey. Yeah. Do you 00:32:05.25\00:32:09.32 want to you want to get? Williams was other people for an action that you need to 00:32:09.32\00:32:14.66 take. >> Do you want to? Yes, I do want to and I think that's 00:32:14.66\00:32:17.67 what's contributing to my little water a season-high. So helps you receive will wash 00:32:17.67\00:32:25.91 ashore. >> And you know, mind when you mention ships. It 00:32:25.91\00:32:28.88 reminds me of what to a friend of ours who have Rana, a young. you're in restaurant and health 00:32:28.88\00:32:35.18 programs and everything. She was telling me about of someone who 00:32:35.18\00:32:40.79 she had gotten acquainted with and was coming to the her programs and things. And he was 00:32:40.79\00:32:46.29 a scientist who worked 4, one of chip fame and, you know, very popular chip companies. He was 00:32:46.29\00:32:55.57 getting a 6 figure in from this was many years ago. 6 figure income and you know, his job 00:32:55.57\00:33:01.08 was was to develop chemicals to put in those chips so that you can't only eat 1, and he 00:33:01.08\00:33:10.02 finally. >> Said this is on ethical AI and he walked away 00:33:10.02\00:33:12.49 from his job. He quit his job because he he said, I can't do this anymore because it actually 00:33:12.49\00:33:18.56 put chemicals in there to make you crave more. I know. I know that and so, you know, it's 00:33:18.56\00:33:25.87 pretty interesting. anyway. Last is. So there's a clean and the clean breaks like you. 00:33:25.87\00:33:31.97 So is so much more powerful because then you are free to enjoy other habits. Just like 00:33:31.97\00:33:35.84 you can't tell an alcoholic. We'll just have one. You know what I last of one inner hull 00:33:35.84\00:33:42.12 aureus or someone who's trying to quit smoking and they've quit or you can just have one 00:33:42.12\00:33:45.55 Seager. It doesn't work that way. You know, you it doesn't work and it doesn't work that 00:33:45.55\00:33:50.03 way with with problem foods either and you have you might do 00:33:50.03\00:33:59.73 you want to Yeah. >> I mean that no man, this is terrible pushes that don't at me right here on 00:33:59.73\00:34:03.61 this Donors. I've been skating all my life. I was teased and thoroughly rejected by all my 00:34:03.61\00:34:09.41 classmates from elementary school through academy. I wasn't allowed to join others on the 00:34:09.41\00:34:13.15 playground because I was 2 tall. And Now I'm 82 5 feet. 10 and 107 pounds. I can gain to save 00:34:13.15\00:34:25.69 me. I'm I'm just skin and bones 82. Yeah. I mean, it gets more challenging as we get older, 00:34:25.69\00:34:35.04 too. and ironically, one of the interesting food, there are some things that tend to 00:34:35.04\00:34:39.07 normalize weight and >> exercise is actually one of them people 00:34:39.07\00:34:45.58 that are not getting enough exercise, they can actually can actually help them to build 00:34:45.58\00:34:49.95 muscle mass. People that are thinner. So it has that role. But also an interesting food 00:34:49.95\00:34:56.29 that actually has one of these weight normalizing functions are not CE. So people that are under 00:34:56.29\00:35:00.80 way. We encourage them to to use more high caloric plant nuts and seeds would be among 00:35:00.80\00:35:07.70 those. But if you act actually look at the research and the general general population, 00:35:07.70\00:35:11.61 which tends to be overweight actually eating more, not says associate with losing weight. 00:35:11.61\00:35:17.95 So not says one of these interesting foods that we can eat too much of them. Sure. 00:35:17.95\00:35:22.38 But adding nuts to the diet generally is beneficial both for underway. People and for 00:35:22.38\00:35:27.76 overweight people. yes. So we're not not with a lot of salt. No, we don't. We're not 00:35:27.76\00:35:31.69 recommending the, you know, the cocktail mix. It's fry. Well, all the salt, but the 00:35:31.69\00:35:37.63 whole knots, a really entree the roasted yes, but without the oil 00:35:37.63\00:35:43.74 extra oil Inge and >> so fast, she owns, can be very good. But thank you. A lot of sodium 00:35:43.74\00:35:54.18 depending on. >> if you get can get them on salt Salt. If you haven't announced all to ensure 00:35:54.18\00:35:59.52 that there are excellent the statue was a really nice. They are very nice. Tonight's not. 00:35:59.52\00:36:04.36 >> Mostly this. This one here. How many hours this is interesting. How many hours 00:36:04.36\00:36:09.63 should the last male be before I go to bed? >> The timeframe 00:36:09.63\00:36:15.04 between meals, 2 recent Washington. >> So there are several things that we might 00:36:15.04\00:36:19.01 mention on relation to that if someone is trying to lose weight. The longer it is before 00:36:19.01\00:36:26.85 you go to bit. In other words, you know, the earlier in the afternoon you eat your last meal 00:36:26.85\00:36:31.09 of the day. The better because in the morning our bodies are geared hormonally to burn the 00:36:31.09\00:36:37.39 calories we eat as energy in the afternoon and evening. It's geared home only to store 00:36:37.39\00:36:42.00 those calories as fat. So unique it the same number of calories per day. But if you 00:36:42.00\00:36:46.97 get the majority of them in the you know, later afternoon and evening, you will tend to 00:36:46.97\00:36:51.71 gain weight defeated in the morning. Instead, you would tend to lose weight, eat like 00:36:51.71\00:36:55.71 a king. if you're trying to lose weight, that's in fact. That's 00:36:55.71\00:36:58.98 one of the other principles and we can. What is it 5? Yeah. Too fast after 03:00PM. So if you 00:36:58.98\00:37:06.49 eat all your calories before 03:00PM. That what that is a big factor in helping to lose 00:37:06.49\00:37:14.76 weight. As far as if someone is not, you know, when and if they're not trying to lose 00:37:14.76\00:37:21.44 weight, but even so it's better if you can have 5 or 6 hours before bed because I again with 00:37:21.44\00:37:27.98 gastric reflux and heartburn. All it's better. If all that food just I before you lay down. 00:37:27.98\00:37:34.45 >> For the no sleep better is what you'll recall that we have this fast from caloric 00:37:34.45\00:37:39.65 beverages. What feel timing, let's bring it back to those who are trying to gain weight 00:37:39.65\00:37:42.16 like the, you know, the viewer who called Yeah and what we'll do in those situations. 00:37:42.16\00:37:46.90 Sometimes I've had patients trouble gaining weight. We don't want to add another meal 00:37:46.90\00:37:50.60 so we'll have them whole fruit or vegetable juice is a half an hour before their meals 00:37:50.60\00:37:58.51 because what happens when you drink calories, they give you much more calorie than they 00:37:58.51\00:38:03.75 do. Satisfaction compared to Whole Foods. So most of us, we want to be eating our foods 00:38:03.75\00:38:08.58 whole time, but it's so much trying to gain weight will say. Have, you know, make that 00:38:08.58\00:38:13.82 fresh juice or have that natural Jews a half an hour before the 00:38:13.82\00:38:17.49 meal, they'll give you more calories and then you can bet half an hour later. But you 00:38:17.49\00:38:24.27 usually will not fully compensate. In other words, you'll you'll eat more calories. 00:38:24.27\00:38:29.60 Cumulatively will ingest more calories with that addition of the juice, same in the evenings. 00:38:29.60\00:38:33.74 We usually will use the Jews but will say something easily. Digestible, maybe, you know, 5 00:38:33.74\00:38:39.68 o'clock or something. 3, 4, hours before bed of some is trying to gain weight, maybe 00:38:39.68\00:38:46.15 just fruit one of the classic ones is a crack or likes why block that was famous years ago. 00:38:46.15\00:38:51.93 You know, the Melba type Towson those things. So those things can be very good in the evening 00:38:51.93\00:38:58.00 for someone is trying to gain weight or a child or young adult was a high metabolism 00:38:58.00\00:39:02.14 and try to keep the caloric intake up to That's millions. >> Yeah. Okay. It's been this 00:39:02.14\00:39:09.71 was interesting. I'm in my mid 70's and haven't a terrible time control in my sweet 00:39:09.71\00:39:17.02 intake. I feel like I'm given. >> All my energy from >> Barbara 00:39:17.02\00:39:28.46 in from Oklahoma. What do you have? What could you do to help opera control this? I think part 00:39:28.46\00:39:33.57 of it comes back to so his point. Yes. So if Barbara, so, you know, the Bible actually 00:39:33.57\00:39:39.87 talks about this. We have, you know, some of the scriptures in Proverbs, which speaks about 00:39:39.87\00:39:44.98 honey. All doesn't say you can't eat OK? It speaks about temperance in this. Even in the 00:39:44.98\00:39:49.22 sweet things, OK? And so so here's my point. We're not telling people have to give up 00:39:49.22\00:39:54.59 other sweets. We would say a better way to satisfy your sweet tooth is with fruit. Yeah. But 00:39:54.59\00:39:59.33 if you can identify of Barbara can identify some sweetener, especially problems for like. 00:39:59.33\00:40:04.40 So you mentioned if it's ice cream, maybe she needs to walk away from the ice If it's a 00:40:04.40\00:40:10.21 certain type of candy bar, maybe she had walk away from the candy bar doesn't mean she 00:40:10.21\00:40:15.28 has to avoid all high sugar foods. I will tell you my experience because have a 00:40:15.28\00:40:18.08 problem with these sugary foods and I got to the point is a young adult where I was 00:40:18.08\00:40:24.29 under conviction because I just and I may have told you this story before, but I 00:40:24.29\00:40:28.62 couldn't go to sleep at night unless I had, you know, some kind of ice cream or K 00:40:28.62\00:40:35.30 something. So the largest impressed me I to make a clean break with all that And it 00:40:35.30\00:40:38.97 first, it's very difficult. But after a while, your tastes And today I don't. I'm going 00:40:38.97\00:40:46.14 to go to bed tonight and that could be looking for cake or ice cream. I don't eat this 00:40:46.14\00:40:50.65 stuff anymore. I don't miss it. That's because my taste of change. I walked away from it 00:40:50.65\00:40:54.68 and I the Lord, help me develop new enjoyment. So that's what we 00:40:54.68\00:40:58.62 tell. People doesn't mean going to walk away from everything they can identify some specific 00:40:58.62\00:41:01.56 things that will go a long way. I'm making the successful change. You know, I love that 00:41:01.56\00:41:06.43 because the body is the trainable instrument. It really the from it. And so that one of 00:41:06.43\00:41:11.90 the lies we tell ourselves that you can't teach an old dog new 00:41:11.90\00:41:16.54 tricks. >> Well, that's case you can write because we're not dogs. We're The reality of it is 00:41:16.54\00:41:21.41 you. We're human and we have been given this capacity to think and 2, you know, we've 00:41:21.41\00:41:28.22 sent to people that come to the church. Hey, I just became a Christian. I'm 60 years old. 00:41:28.22\00:41:33.79 You can't be a Christian. You have a senator Do we say that? No that. So why should we 00:41:33.79\00:41:39.73 apply that to the last radio station like, I'm sorry, hollow. 00:41:39.73\00:41:46.47 You smoke. >> 35 years. Well, do you pass the threshold Doesn't work. We don't say that the of 00:41:46.47\00:41:51.24 things of life, right? When we say, you know, you've even this way all your life, there's no 00:41:51.24\00:41:56.04 chance that you can change your habits. That's why I choose to replace my barbecue 00:41:56.04\00:42:03.85 chips with celery and carrots. Wonderful. And I want to train my my taste. honestly, what 00:42:03.85\00:42:08.86 you said tonight about the chemicals in there. That's why this very well-known chip 00:42:08.86\00:42:14.63 companies is a bit. You can eat just 1, because they made it so 00:42:14.63\00:42:20.90 that. Another one. honestly before, you know, I just kind of contest here. We like the big 00:42:20.90\00:42:28.31 ships. One, a bag chips starts. When you start seeing the small pieces, you can find a chip that 00:42:28.31\00:42:32.61 you could look to take relate strengthen its eyes, realized I need to many. Sometimes I you 00:42:32.61\00:42:38.49 know, I just get a bag of chips in now. You just don't know because you've trained your 00:42:38.49\00:42:44.29 left-hand column of smoke. We've to reach in the bag and find the big ships. And when 00:42:44.29\00:42:46.59 you realize they're in them a big ship, you think? Tonight, although it you'd and honesty. 00:42:46.59\00:42:52.00 That's what I think we need to come from. And thank you for that. I coin that Listen at 00:42:52.00\00:42:58.47 this. This is for both of you. >> I have a problem with too much here in nation. I'm 5 00:42:58.47\00:43:04.65 feet. 310 pounds to begin meals a day drink water between meals 00:43:04.65\00:43:13.29 about 37 to 38 ounces a day which I consider the right amount of Florida for someone as 00:43:13.29\00:43:21.60 small as me. Try to drink that amount of water throughout the day, hours before bed time. But 00:43:21.60\00:43:26.87 the year nation problem happens through the day and the night. I'm 79 years old and would 00:43:26.87\00:43:34.58 like for roles and his wife to share some light in this situation. I'm pretty healthy 00:43:34.58\00:43:42.42 up. Raise a lot of that. I also exercise all the time. Then why 00:43:42.42\00:43:48.39 do I have this problem? Thank you for helping. I praise the Lord to for good health 00:43:48.39\00:43:55.76 throughout life. you know, for this system, yes, and yes, same 00:43:55.76\00:43:59.67 for us. >> All say several things about the above waiting. So different. People have 00:43:59.67\00:44:04.81 different capacities of the platter. True and the other interesting dynamic that a lot 00:44:04.81\00:44:10.58 of people don't realize is when we lay down, I mean, all of us tend to have some. Fluid 00:44:10.58\00:44:18.82 retention. I mean, it may not be discernible, but when we're walking around, we have more 00:44:18.82\00:44:22.49 fluid in our legs and our feet. Some people's really exaggerated 00:44:22.49\00:44:26.96 you press on their legs and leaves a pit. We couldn't hitting a when you lay down at 00:44:26.96\00:44:34.60 night that water mobilizes. Okay. So now gravity isn't bringing the water and tear 00:44:34.60\00:44:40.01 legs. That water now mobilizing goes tear your heart, your kidneys, and you can get up and 00:44:40.01\00:44:44.05 you're getting your name or says someone miss and not drinking much. But why do I get up at 00:44:44.05\00:44:47.65 night? And in the end it more. So I know this person, you know, much of an issue with 00:44:47.65\00:44:55.22 that. But the point is different. People different. The encouraging thing to me is 00:44:55.22\00:44:59.39 even for someone who is to drink a lot of water and wake up maybe 00:44:59.39\00:45:03.03 several times at night because they're drinking so much. We typically wake up. We're in a 00:45:03.03\00:45:08.67 later stage of sleep. We find people even if they wake up and have to use the bathroom if they 00:45:08.67\00:45:12.14 fall right back to sleep. This doesn't seem to be deleterious as far as their sleep. We 00:45:12.14\00:45:18.95 sleep in cycles and you tend to wake up when you're in lower state sleep, you go to 00:45:18.95\00:45:23.28 that. You use the facilities. You go back to bed. I would say and I'm not saying this is 00:45:23.28\00:45:28.36 pond, but I say don't lose any sleep. That one live with that because because of letter 00:45:28.36\00:45:35.73 capacity or other things, mobilizing fluids. We don't have to. Again, we don't have 00:45:35.73\00:45:39.23 to treat things just because we wish it were different or someone else or next door 00:45:39.23\00:45:46.31 neighbor says, well, I don't do that. You should be able to sleep through the whole night. 00:45:46.31\00:45:48.18 Don't worry about if you're feeling healthy, you're getting 00:45:48.18\00:45:51.58 the rest you need. Don't worry if you get up a couple times and you have to it's okay. Yeah. 00:45:51.58\00:45:54.68 >> And if there are other health issues like a lot of older women 00:45:54.68\00:46:00.92 deal leakage problems, especially if they've had so that can play into it. And also 00:46:00.92\00:46:08.70 and if that's a real problem for someone, I I would encourage them to go see their doctor 00:46:08.70\00:46:13.50 because there are treatments available that can actually help significantly with that 00:46:13.50\00:46:20.44 that would be something to, you know, to explore if that's a problem as well. Because you 00:46:20.44\00:46:24.71 don't want to quit drinking water because of needing to urinate And when she mentioned 00:46:24.71\00:46:30.22 that water and I don't know how much she weighs, but just have bye to say 105. And one, 00:46:30.22\00:46:36.26 OK? So she's she's pretty close on the water, but a good rule of thumb for the amount 00:46:36.26\00:46:42.06 of water that most to, you know, just for a general, healthy person to drink is you 00:46:42.06\00:46:47.50 take you weight in pounds, cut it in half. And that's the minimum number of ounces that 00:46:47.50\00:46:51.64 you should be consuming a day. And then if you're perspiring a lot working it, you would 00:46:51.64\00:46:55.44 add more so if someone ways 100 pounds, you know, at least 50 ounces a day as a minimum 00:46:55.44\00:47:02.28 baseline, a lot of water and and then adding more to that. If you're, you know, working 00:47:02.28\00:47:07.32 doing others, don't like to treat. Want to put lemon in I've done that. Squeeze a 00:47:07.32\00:47:13.06 little lemon and it helped. >> It actually some people put fruit, put some. Different, 00:47:13.06\00:47:20.44 very certain vegetables, infused water into few if they don't like the taste of the 00:47:20.44\00:47:24.21 water. And now for me, I'm just like to get filtered water. 00:47:24.21\00:47:28.01 Yeah, that is, you know, that that has a good chance of drinking from the tap is not 00:47:28.01\00:47:35.18 known you know, not an appealing option to anyone to see where you to give us some loyal fans 00:47:35.18\00:47:39.02 and where you live. True. There are certain places like a pin. I And in Lake Tahoe on another, 00:47:39.02\00:47:43.79 some places up in the mountains where the water is just delicious. Straight out of 00:47:43.79\00:47:47.96 the, you know, the wells or whatever. Yeah, but for most people, city tap water is not 00:47:47.96\00:47:55.50 healthier appealing. I mean, it's not right. You know, well, water, sometimes you 00:47:55.50\00:47:59.94 might live in a place where you might get a boiling notice. 00:47:59.94\00:48:03.01 Sometimes we go. >> definitely want to get that checked. Don't drink water until we get 0, it's 00:48:03.01\00:48:08.42 a pipe broke today and construction. Yeah. You know, it gets brown the shot, but that's 00:48:08.42\00:48:12.99 good. I like that rule of thumb. Your weight divided by should be, you know, if if someone is 00:48:12.99\00:48:20.10 500 pounds, you don't do. That would be a bit. You know, it's closer to your idea. You know 00:48:20.10\00:48:26.57 your average weight are ideal, you know, not you might not to 00:48:26.57\00:48:33.07 extreme. >> a heart or kidney problems, of course, exactly right. just let me let's go now. 00:48:33.07\00:48:40.65 We're week 6, 10 day, Daniel Fast. I think you talk that already. listen, we can just go 00:48:40.65\00:48:48.32 to 7 well, I know this week, 6 to week 7, a 10 day. Daniel fast come ideas to Think about. 00:48:48.32\00:48:54.00 It's 10 days. >> So you're right there week. 6 is how to go that 00:48:54.00\00:49:04.31 way. So attended 7 days a tried to squeeze into a week but we couldn't figure United set. 00:49:04.31\00:49:10.58 And you also included. Optional Daniels, a no on Clean foods or 00:49:10.58\00:49:20.39 the Axe 15, kosher or bloodless time said you know, it is really interesting. And we were just 00:49:20.39\00:49:24.13 looking at that. I mean, it's staggeringly most people don't 00:49:24.13\00:49:26.90 realize this, but, >> you know, you may have heard of some of these parasitic diseases that 00:49:26.90\00:49:31.40 are largely carried, but unclean animals. One, a lot of people heard about a And I think that 00:49:31.40\00:49:35.84 I was looking at recently to maybe 50,000 people a year with trick says.
