did. And Jesus meets us where we are. But he also is there. If you stumble or fall and 00:13:34.64\00:13:41.15 then my experience in coming back to Christ. The first for years were like a honeymoon 00:13:41.15\00:13:45.55 with God. And then I did stumble and I did fall. But it didn't stop believing in the 00:13:45.55\00:13:51.29 love interest of Jesus Christ. Something new that I needed his help to get back up. You 00:13:51.29\00:13:56.36 got I did. First Corinthians 6 is pretty prominent verse a try. As a matter of fact, you 00:13:56.36\00:14:02.57 know, I want to do. I think we should have prayer. >> Thank 00:14:02.57\00:14:06.24 you. And I would never think it is a pity because I want people to be able to listen. Hes cars. 00:14:06.24\00:14:09.61 Holy Spirit impresses their And once again, I just want to reiterate, we want to remind 00:14:09.61\00:14:15.58 you that this program is talking about sensitive issues, LGBTQ 00:14:15.58\00:14:18.85 issues. And if you are a parent just joining the program and you want your children to be able to 00:14:18.85\00:14:24.13 hear from you first. And I suggest you make some adjustments accordingly. But 00:14:24.13\00:14:30.50 let's go age the kids if they are of age because a lot of it is coming to your schools is 00:14:30.50\00:14:35.27 yes, the textbooks and I would not be surprised that some of that children watching this 00:14:35.27\00:14:41.44 program. Me the parents of their, whether they are under 18, all the above have already 00:14:41.44\00:14:46.85 been approached in some way, maybe through tax because some kind of curriculum. Yeah. Let 00:14:46.85\00:14:50.82 me just add a note on that with crew. >> Their parents are 00:14:50.82\00:14:55.12 finding out things today and getting shocked and they're devastated because their 00:14:55.12\00:14:58.39 children are being educated through social media and through classmates at school. So it is 00:14:58.39\00:15:03.43 an appropriate program. We're not going to discuss anything that will you Priya door a 00:15:03.43\00:15:12.01 graphic or sensational anyway. If you want your children to get an education from scripture, 00:15:12.01\00:15:17.25 those are the kinds of things that we're going to be talking and wonderful. That's that's 00:15:17.25\00:15:19.95 one those have pretty as open the Bible because thank you. You give me one of the lead 00:15:19.95\00:15:23.95 into what we're going to be here for this committee and 6. >> Following have. And we just 00:15:23.95\00:15:26.55 thank you, Lord, your word is truth. We go through your shed, 00:15:26.55\00:15:33.23 blood through your broken body. You are able to save to the most. Those who come to God 00:15:33.23\00:15:44.44 through your righteousness tonight, father, we pray that you're years of the listeners, 00:15:44.44\00:15:46.84 the eyes and ears of the viewers that somebody watching someone listening tonight in the car 00:15:46.84\00:15:52.91 or home by maybe from their church or wherever, wherever it may be, that they will hear 00:15:52.91\00:15:59.39 your word. And here one thing calling you, I want to be intimate with you in a divine 00:15:59.39\00:16:06.36 way and lead you to life. That is more abundant. Can anyone else and anything else can 00:16:06.36\00:16:11.87 provide? So spirit guide continually this program. We in 00:16:11.87\00:16:19.11 Jesus name. ¤ You know, when you you alluded a moment ago to 00:16:19.11\00:16:26.75 first Monday in 6 and just one also points out. Thank you, Honey. Just want to point this 00:16:26.75\00:16:30.12 out that in this program we're going to have some questions. Also, maybe you can give them 00:16:30.12\00:16:35.39 the phone number here. yeah, the phone number, if you want to text your questions in. 00:16:35.39\00:16:39.13 >> To 6, 1, 8, 2, 2, 8, 3, 9, 7, 5, or you can email your questions to live at 3ABN DOT 00:16:39.13\00:16:50.24 TV. That right, 2nd half and we will be taking those questions in the 2nd half the 00:16:50.24\00:16:56.01 program. And so once again, 6, 1, 8, 2, 2, 8, 39, 75 and e-mail. I live at 3 ABN Dot 00:16:56.01\00:17:05.12 TV. That's right. Just in case you it and find a pen that happens. I mean, Yeah, you 00:17:05.12\00:17:10.76 load it so beautifully way into that passage that when you're talking about how God 00:17:10.76\00:17:15.86 led you and I'm going read First Corinthians chapter 6 because a lot of times people 00:17:15.86\00:17:19.90 say, well, the Bible is silent and of her professors and theologians and psychologists 00:17:19.90\00:17:26.24 say, well, you really can't find anything in scripture speaks against this way of 00:17:26.24\00:17:33.11 life. I want to reverse 11 0st First Corinthians chapter 6 in verse 11 and listen to this 00:17:33.11\00:17:38.35 done in the pack up. This is and such war. Some of you. Now that maybe somebody watching 00:17:38.35\00:17:46.19 the program that was a involved in some kind of life of crime 00:17:46.19\00:17:51.40 with some kind of. Passion that required you to volunteer to commit everything that draws us 00:17:51.40\00:17:58.34 away from cries requires us to be obedient to it. But a lot are saying those who are be to him. 00:17:58.34\00:18:04.68 This is. But such were some of you and look what goes on to say. But washed. But us 00:18:04.68\00:18:11.82 sanctified. But you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and buy the spirit of 00:18:11.82\00:18:19.53 God, not so that's what happened. We have all been justified in Sanctified washed 00:18:19.53\00:18:26.60 the cleansing righteousness of Jesus has delivered us all from something. But look at the 00:18:26.60\00:18:31.81 list now of what Paul the Apostle was talking Not only to focus on one category. I 00:18:31.81\00:18:36.51 want you to see the entire shelf. He talks about the starting first with the in 6 00:18:36.51\00:18:40.58 verse 9. Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God. Do 00:18:40.58\00:18:49.86 not be deceived. He says neither fornicators no, I dollar No 00:18:49.86\00:18:58.13 adulteress, no homosexuals, North sodomites. First 10 nor thieves. No COVID choose nor 00:18:58.13\00:19:05.01 drunkards no revilers nor Extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God and adverse 11. 00:19:05.01\00:19:10.88 One more time and such with some of you what you washed. But us sanctified the were justified in 00:19:10.88\00:19:17.22 the name of the Lord Jesus and by the spirit of of York, God of our God. Now. Wait on that, 00:19:17.22\00:19:22.49 though. This question to you. Why does it seem before we get to this amazing outlined you 00:19:22.49\00:19:29.86 have real. Why does it seem as though one group in this entire list has been focused 00:19:29.86\00:19:36.07 on message seems to be, but you can't be washed. You can't be redeemed. You can't be 00:19:36.07\00:19:41.94 clans. You can't be justified is just not possible. Talk to that for a moment. Well, in 00:19:41.94\00:19:48.22 the silence that existed in the church and then the popularity 00:19:48.22\00:19:54.02 and increasing. >> I'm coming that people did are they would they would indicating that they 00:19:54.02\00:20:00.16 were gay. I'm in the 70's during the sexual revolution that began to to catch It became to be 00:20:00.16\00:20:06.74 more vocal. It would show up in television and movies and then the gay rights movement 00:20:06.74\00:20:14.51 really began to take some traction. And so. would begin to say, well, that's, you 00:20:14.51\00:20:21.72 know, that's just wrong. And those people are going to burn and horrible things would be 00:20:21.72\00:20:26.49 said. But there was no redemptive things that were said So that was silence from 00:20:26.49\00:20:31.83 within the church. And so it became something that was begging for the spotlight. 00:20:31.83\00:20:41.40 Politicians begin to show up. I'm advocating for homosexuality 00:20:41.40\00:20:48.71 for relationships that we're loving it, loving monogamous or whatever. Kind of a picture 00:20:48.71\00:20:51.41 you wanted to paint. As a as it related to scripture. It would contrast scripture and 00:20:51.41\00:20:59.75 it began get traction so that people were listening to the voice of people instead of the 00:20:59.75\00:21:04.63 and said the word of God. Wow, and the gay rights movement, you know, unfolded. So we 00:21:04.63\00:21:12.67 began to to them here in the well, I'm sorry, not in the 70's, but in the early 80's, 00:21:12.67\00:21:19.41 when aides arrived. That begin to be a little bit of a scare to people who identified as 00:21:19.41\00:21:26.21 LGBT and then there became a little bit of a reflection back on. Oh, wait a minute. 00:21:26.21\00:21:30.05 What what is it that God is asking of me? Now have a question. What is Ken Hersh an 00:21:30.05\00:21:38.79 therapy? >> Well, conversion therapy is something that we 00:21:38.79\00:21:43.10 certainly want to dive into here. It's it is. I'll give you a that I found through a 00:21:43.10\00:21:53.94 ministry. And that is changed ministry and they give a pretty clear definition is says there's 00:21:53.94\00:21:59.91 no widely accepted legal definition of so-called conversion therapy. In fact, 00:21:59.91\00:22:06.82 legislative bans do not rely on population-wide evidence-based 00:22:06.82\00:22:12.49 studies and honest definition for use in law could be conversion. Therapy is any 00:22:12.49\00:22:18.47 counseling practice that overrides personal consent and employees aversive techniques to 00:22:18.47\00:22:24.14 affect sexual behaviors. Ethical talk based change, allowing council addresses, confusion, 00:22:24.14\00:22:34.75 trauma childhood abuse and shame. So that's that's really what has been available through 00:22:34.75\00:22:40.19 those who especially in Christian psychology, will come to address the issues of trauma 00:22:40.19\00:22:45.43 and other events in someone's life that could have led fall basically from grace. You 00:22:45.43\00:22:53.40 know, like this came about as being so incredibly important to me in a revelation to me 00:22:53.40\00:22:56.60 here 4 months ago when I saw an interview Andrew Rodriquez and Krista Branch Bontrager 00:22:56.60\00:23:06.51 and Andrew Begin to talk about the 4 different positions in the church that have really 00:23:06.51\00:23:10.85 created a certain element of chaos. and those positions were 00:23:10.85\00:23:20.40 derived Portland Fellowship ministry in Portland, Oregon, by Jason Thompson. And there are 4 00:23:20.40\00:23:24.93 columns. One is the rebel column where a person is basically 00:23:24.93\00:23:30.11 reveling in their sand. They're proud of their son. They want to be just the way they are. They 00:23:30.11\00:23:33.61 don't think there's any problem with that. They don't want to find the root causes. You know, 00:23:33.61\00:23:37.31 it's kind of an in-your-face thing to the church, to God, whatever the case may be, then 00:23:37.31\00:23:40.25 there's the resist column where there are people who are still gay, identified, but 00:23:40.25\00:23:46.76 they might have a certain sense of morality. The morality like 00:23:46.76\00:23:52.29 no promiscuity or incest or sexual abuse would be wrong. But they might even lean towards the 00:23:52.29\00:23:56.97 idea that a gay monogamous relationship might be OK. And yet there may be some that 00:23:56.97\00:24:02.57 somewhat celibate, but still would call themselves. Okay. 00:24:02.57\00:24:05.54 Christian? >> OK, so those 2, again is. First category rebel, OK second? okay. So generally 00:24:05.54\00:24:14.42 that's the viewpoint of what community. >> That would be the 00:24:14.42\00:24:20.09 LGBT plus community that are basically proud of who they are. >> So so they're they're 00:24:20.09\00:24:25.03 identified right there, identifying with a lifestyle, but not really Sen. We want to 00:24:25.03\00:24:28.96 get out of those just to to And so you have the book. I wrote a book actually somewhat 00:24:28.96\00:24:33.70 with regards to this because in our own denomination, we had a 00:24:33.70\00:24:36.84 book >> surface that was from a cultural standpoint that this is just kind of how you are. 00:24:36.84\00:24:43.85 And there's no there's there's no way out nor should you try to prompt somebody to find a 00:24:43.85\00:24:47.85 way out. And that book guiding families of LGBT plus loved ones. And then I wrote a to 00:24:47.85\00:24:54.19 analyze that book called Line by Line, OK, I biblical analysis of 00:24:54.19\00:24:59.43 guiding families of LGBT plus loved ones and so if you're interested in this book, I think 00:24:59.43\00:25:04.57 that you see on the screen now how you might obtain a copy of it by going to my website. 00:25:04.57\00:25:09.67 They're actually 21 testimonies in this book and about people who decided that God is worth it 00:25:09.67\00:25:14.68 and they decided to leave the LGBT culture for Jesus Christ Love. And for those listening, 00:25:14.68\00:25:19.71 it's no his love. >> Dot org. Ford Slash store. That's we can 00:25:19.71\00:25:27.32 get the book. No, his love just as it sounds dot org forward. Slash store and the book is line 00:25:27.32\00:25:34.20 by line responding to the fact that this book has, as you said, how many testimonies 21? 00:25:34.20\00:25:39.90 >> Yeah, front line by line has 21 testimony since '07 of those are from within our own 00:25:39.90\00:25:44.27 denomination of 7th Day Adventists, which sometimes seems a little bit narrow and 00:25:44.27\00:25:49.18 conservative and not as you know, out there with all the other. Did you know, 00:25:49.18\00:25:53.08 denominations that are out there? So God convicted my heart that I should let our 00:25:53.08\00:25:57.95 own denomination know that that's that's not just a denominational problem. This 00:25:57.95\00:26:01.26 is not a doctrinal thing, but it's a faith. Why based consideration through all who 00:26:01.26\00:26:08.76 looking into the word of God as being trustworthy. And so I was convicted to bring in 14 00:26:08.76\00:26:13.57 testimonies from those that are and that are non Venice. And there are as movement. 00:26:13.57\00:26:20.28 Also the Freedom March movement that is involving literally thousands of people 00:26:20.28\00:26:25.05 that are leaving LGBT culture for Jesus Christ. He says they're worth it. And so now 00:26:25.05\00:26:29.65 they're seeing that he is worth it. What is the Freedom March? Eitan organization? You 00:26:29.65\00:26:34.62 can find out more in my book Jeffrey. A was the founder of this. I do an interview with 00:26:34.62\00:26:40.43 him in the book. And I spoken for that organization twice now, but I would like to it 00:26:40.43\00:26:50.61 through these columns, request to the so much information that we have in years into the 00:26:50.61\00:26:54.61 renounce that was shared with me. And I said, oh, that's where I am. That's who I am. 00:26:54.61\00:26:59.31 And the renounce column would give up your gay identity by coming to Christ and 00:26:59.31\00:27:03.55 recognizing that your new creature in Christ. You're not identified by your pastor, not 00:27:03.55\00:27:07.72 identified by your temptations or your desires, but who Jesus says that you are, you 00:27:07.72\00:27:14.56 surrender your diet desires and your temptations to him and seek to live for him. in 00:27:14.56\00:27:21.00 doing so. Sometimes for a lot of people that becomes a dead stop and they don't look 00:27:21.00\00:27:27.11 beyond that as to what what Christ might have in store for them. What if we were to look 00:27:27.11\00:27:34.28 Circumstantially or maybe even. To some degree Gina lobbed geologically, although 00:27:34.28\00:27:42.06 there's not a gay gene there there we have the sins of our fathers surprise. Sometimes 00:27:42.06\00:27:47.13 that bring down a weakness of our flash and circumstantial big for me. My birth mother 00:27:47.13\00:27:53.40 with insistent about having a girl instead of a boy during a pregnancy and then broke my 00:27:53.40\00:27:57.37 arm in 2 different places. After was born, it was pretty clear that I wasn't going to 00:27:57.37\00:28:01.58 be running up to a woman and saying, oh, I love you and you know it just it didn't work 00:28:01.58\00:28:04.65 out that way. But I found that when I came back to Christ, I got stuck in this renounce 00:28:04.65\00:28:10.35 column. For the last 12 years. And when I heard Andrew Rodriquez say to me as I was 00:28:10.35\00:28:17.79 watching this interview with him. If you've given your life to Christ and you can see that 00:28:17.79\00:28:25.47 don't developmentally you fell from grace because of sin because of what Satan has 00:28:25.47\00:28:28.07 done. And how convince teen years through our senses and through various incidences 00:28:28.07\00:28:35.88 that may be traumatic incidences. Don't you believe that by coming to Christ that 00:28:35.88\00:28:40.05 he can developmentally take you back into a position of healing 00:28:40.05\00:28:44.09 of which you might experience with him through counseling through scripture and through a 00:28:44.09\00:28:50.36 surrender and abiding in Christ. To the point where some might even enjoy a relationship with 00:28:50.36\00:28:55.50 someone of the opposite sex because of all things that are possible through Jesus Christ. 00:28:55.50\00:28:59.77 Teen and 2 others who may come to a point in their relationship 00:28:59.77\00:29:04.01 with Christ that they learned 100 never navigate towards Christ. But with a significantly 00:29:04.01\00:29:11.85 less intensity of the desires and the temptations that you had with outs when you didn't seek 00:29:11.85\00:29:16.52 therapy. And so that does bring us into the element of our the 00:29:16.52\00:29:24.53 discussion about conversion therapy and grievances, the kind of hate that term because of 00:29:24.53\00:29:26.83 what people implied by that. They mean they they imply all these aversive techniques. But 00:29:26.83\00:29:33.07 what he points out is let's talk about this seriously. When he says, you know, homosexuality 00:29:33.07\00:29:39.07 was removed from the DSM, the Dye Diagnostic Statistical Manual for the the the 00:29:39.07\00:29:46.25 American Psychiatric Association in 1973. And then they allowed 00:29:46.25\00:29:54.99 people who. >> Said, well, yes, I'm acting out as gay. I seem to sense that that's what I'm being 00:29:54.99\00:30:02.86 driven towards. ego nick kelly I I am not happy with being this person. I don't believe 00:30:02.86\00:30:11.84 this is who I really am. I really want to be who Christ wants me to be. And so at that 00:30:11.84\00:30:17.25 time they would allow the aversive techniques all the way 00:30:17.25\00:30:22.35 up until 1980. >> And then in 1980, they decided that these therapies were were not 00:30:22.35\00:30:27.06 beneficial. They were they were hurting and harming, you know, 00:30:27.06\00:30:30.63 individuals. >> With the shock therapy and ice cold and doing various techniques like that. In 00:30:30.63\00:30:35.96 1980, we see a shift. Then that that counselors are. >> Are abating. Those types of 00:30:35.96\00:30:46.41 techniques. But what should be left in place is that anybody who is on their own accord who 00:30:46.41\00:30:54.02 is wanting to seek therapy, they're going in seeking out a therapist that they think 00:30:54.02\00:30:58.55 might be able to work with them as it relates to to conversion 00:30:58.55\00:31:06.70 therapy. You don't get an accreditation to becoming a therapist, Sari Yeah, it doesn't 00:31:06.70\00:31:13.30 exist. And so this definition this because of the stigma connected to it. >> Yes, but and 00:31:13.30\00:31:18.81 things happened, OK, >> that are beginning to to happen that 00:31:18.81\00:31:23.18 Christians aren't even aware of today. The the what is happening there is a social pressure LGBT 00:31:23.18\00:31:30.75 activism and those who sympathize with them are putting pressure on the a PA today to 00:31:30.75\00:31:38.23 criminalize. I'm a convert, whatever things to sound like conversion therapy. So in other 00:31:38.23\00:31:42.93 words, like what's happened in Canada now as the C 4, a bill that's passed. Praying with 00:31:42.93\00:31:48.07 somebody. This is somebody who desires prayer. He says I would like to live for Christ and not 00:31:48.07\00:31:53.91 from my flash. Yes, is now criminal and you can be put in 00:31:53.91\00:31:57.78 jail for 5 years. >> So someone came to you and said continues to pass to John. I want you to 00:31:57.78\00:32:04.02 pray for me to help me overcome this and you're living in Canada and I'm living in Canada 00:32:04.02\00:32:07.56 tonight. We both can go to jail or just the person asking for 00:32:07.56\00:32:12.26 help. >> As far as I as I'm not still doing research on this, I don't know if the person 00:32:12.26\00:32:16.23 asking for help goes to jail. But I do know that the person who would agree to pray or is 00:32:16.23\00:32:21.84 offering prayer is in jeopardy of going today on to jail and 00:32:21.84\00:32:27.34 being cited for. >> And this what I was interested to some research pride of the program. 00:32:27.34\00:32:32.11 This is not just happening in happening in Canada. This is happening. We looked fortunes 00:32:32.11\00:32:37.62 happening in Australia. What's happening in New Zealand? 14 country. It's criminal and 14 00:32:37.62\00:32:40.89 countries. So in January was voted through even with the conservative individuals in 00:32:40.89\00:32:51.20 Canada. There wasn't a single one that didn't vote for the ban on conversion therapy. 00:32:51.20\00:32:55.07 >> And shortly after Canada, New Zealand voted this through a year ago. It was a voted to 00:32:55.07\00:33:01.41 put conversion therapy. Our conversion vans and Victoria, Australia. But in February is 00:33:01.41\00:33:09.25 when they've decided to and make it start enforcing these things. Now, the interesting 00:33:09.25\00:33:14.56 thing about this is not only does that reflect on someone who is same sex attracted that 00:33:14.56\00:33:19.96 is affected by this. But because of the bill and the language of 00:33:19.96\00:33:24.63 the bill on the way it reads, if let's say there was a married couple, a man and a woman I that 00:33:24.63\00:33:31.81 guy has a wandering eye and they're in jeopardy of an adulterous relationship. If he 00:33:31.81\00:33:35.38 sought counseling. That would be criminal as well. Say it's not just for the LGBTQ, but 00:33:35.38\00:33:44.85 anybody wanting help from any kind of sex. Yes, I'm an Obama same sex couple who wants to 00:33:44.85\00:33:49.72 remain monogamous. But and there is trying to keep their relationship together. It 00:33:49.72\00:33:53.73 would now be criminal for them to seek help from someone so that they could so that they 00:33:53.73\00:33:59.00 could be morally pure. >> Well, no, I don't know pause and just 00:33:59.00\00:34:04.41 kind of. >> Give a chance to recapitulate some of these things because if you listen 00:34:04.41\00:34:06.57 to the program, >> you might be saying to yourself, am I really 00:34:06.57\00:34:09.71 hearing what I'm hearing? You are hearing what you're hearing. We just behind the scenes 00:34:09.71\00:34:13.68 homework on this to see we do What Wayne is talking about. Let me just reiterated in just 00:34:13.68\00:34:20.62 when you some terminology that maybe some of you didn't know about. But to break it down to 00:34:20.62\00:34:25.36 the crackers crack. The crumbs break is getting to the place where if you say to someone I 00:34:25.36\00:34:32.10 I'm glad to pray with you. If you want to be delivered from any kind of sexual some parts 00:34:32.10\00:34:36.40 of the world, you can go to jail now and for 5 years in some places have even more 00:34:36.40\00:34:40.28 stringent. And yeah, regulations, 10 years in Norway, 10 years in Australia 00:34:40.28\00:34:45.61 hallway. So it's getting to the place where what the Lord said as it was in the days of 00:34:45.61\00:34:49.35 law, You know what happened to the days of lot when just before Saddam in tomorrow was 00:34:49.35\00:34:54.99 destroyed. There was a this desire for as the Bible talk about strange flesh. But today 00:34:54.99\00:35:01.30 it seems like in all reality, his being legalized and any possibility as we just a 00:35:01.30\00:35:08.64 moment ago being watched is being removed. And let me just add something one more time 00:35:08.64\00:35:14.31 because you just went through 3 categories and want to reiterate 00:35:14.31\00:35:16.38 what you talked about. The rebel category. Those just don't want to go through that change 00:35:16.38\00:35:22.72 anything. They want to stay there. As on this when I was born this way, the resist 00:35:22.72\00:35:28.06 category, which is in a nutshell, identify with this. But I'm I'm not really looking 00:35:28.06\00:35:34.10 for change right then the renounce category. This is where you will for 12 years. that now 00:35:34.10\00:35:39.50 this is interesting. There are those who come to the Lord and say let me just not even use 00:35:39.50\00:35:45.24 LGBT issues somebody might say I run out alcohol. I renounce cigarettes, not announced a 00:35:45.24\00:35:47.14 crime. I came out of. But I don't believe that I could be rebuild to not be a thief to 00:35:47.14\00:35:53.88 not to not be a robber. I in always be identified that way. Can you imagine if this was 00:35:53.88\00:36:00.59 what happened in the Apostle Paul's a whole because he was watched. That's what he says 00:36:00.59\00:36:06.90 it. Yes. So it's saying that you cannot this is what this whole bill is about. This. 00:36:06.90\00:36:10.07 This whole movement to say no, you are Robert, you can always be that you. I you can always 00:36:10.07\00:36:17.37 be that. But according to the scriptures and look at that and that will get to that in a 00:36:17.37\00:36:21.28 moment. I want you to go to the one that you really focusing on 00:36:21.28\00:36:26.25 the 4th category and then we're going to talk about something that passed in America and what 00:36:26.25\00:36:29.18 many Americans really don't know. So the human rights. >> Bill would provide me the 00:36:29.18\00:36:36.96 freedom to choose and all of us, whether you are somebody who is religious or atheist or 00:36:36.96\00:36:43.87 whatever the case may be, America's based on that freedom to have those human to 00:36:43.87\00:36:49.57 make those choices. But putting bills through like this, the 00:36:49.57\00:36:56.64 LGBT community who has long fought for their right to have a voice who does have a voice 00:36:56.64\00:37:01.75 today is seeking to silence the voice of others. In other words, taking away their religious 00:37:01.75\00:37:05.02 freedom. So if you're not religious, I then I would say don't go to a counselor. Don't 00:37:05.02\00:37:12.43 don't. It's not of any concern to you. It's not of interest to you. But for those who are 00:37:12.43\00:37:16.26 seeking help, those who want to see to believe in the word of God. And we have that freedom to 00:37:16.26\00:37:22.87 believe. Still for a time, it seems that we can trust and believe in God and and his 00:37:22.87\00:37:28.34 word that I should be able to buy my human choice. Right. And by my religious freedom to 00:37:28.34\00:37:35.58 seek out a counselor who can help walk me through who's been professionally trained to 00:37:35.58\00:37:40.39 deal with circumstances in episodes of things that have contributed to my life. While 00:37:40.39\00:37:44.69 I mean, look at my what happened to me and my influence prior to 00:37:44.69\00:37:50.97 even birth let alone what happened to me afterwards. And there are other many traumatic 00:37:50.97\00:37:54.24 experiences that happened in people's lives today. LGBT community used to say on our 00:37:54.24\00:37:58.47 know that we doesn't have anything to do with abuse. But what interestingly, what 00:37:58.47\00:38:03.58 happened was that when the me too movement came along and women started saying we have 00:38:03.58\00:38:07.18 suffered in the hands of men from sexual abuse. The LGBT community immediately came 00:38:07.18\00:38:14.19 forth and to us too. And okay. So now you really are telling me now, also you to this. 00:38:14.19\00:38:22.30 Well, statistics shows and this is an old statistic that we that I was using like 10 00:38:22.30\00:38:26.60 years ago. 82% of those who identify as LGBT plus today have 00:38:26.60\00:38:33.44 suffered from some element of physical sexual abuse. >> Wow. Well, they have wow. 00:38:33.44\00:38:37.68 Now what you talk about rebuild. >> That is where you write. So 00:38:37.68\00:38:43.22 now I you know, as I listened to, you know, an Andrew Rodriquez was I was listening 00:38:43.22\00:38:48.96 to this one side of afternoon and the more I listened him tell me. Why. Why wouldn't you 00:38:48.96\00:38:55.66 in coming back to Christ not to seek all that's possible through 00:38:55.66\00:39:02.00 him. And if psychotherapy Christian psychotherapy, that is working an agreement with 00:39:02.00\00:39:07.31 scripture and if you're going to come to somebody and talk to you and help you walk along the way 00:39:07.31\00:39:09.94 with Christ. Because see, I still I have experienced same sex attraction even in these 00:39:09.94\00:39:17.72 last 12 years, too. The degree of which I had failure. But I want to tell them to the 00:39:17.72\00:39:23.16 listener, the viewer online today because if you felt just as if you are head or a sexual 00:39:23.16\00:39:27.40 person and you fell sexually or morally in some way you might find the church might 00:39:27.40\00:39:35.94 abandon she does not abandon him and that he does not leave you Proverbs. 24 16 says, you 00:39:35.94\00:39:43.11 know, righteous man may fall to 7 times. It's a symbolic number. 00:39:43.11\00:39:46.31 Could be 7 77,000. Now, I don't want to go down the road of a presumption then of thinking I 00:39:46.31\00:39:50.79 have permission to Sen. But Jesus is saying in spite of your sand, there is hope for you. So 00:39:50.79\00:39:58.23 there are many of you I know that are out there that will say because I felt seizure still 00:39:58.23\00:40:03.26 got and the moment of failure, perhaps I had that experience. But in the conviction that 00:40:03.26\00:40:08.37 comes up on my heart again, looking to Christ and saying I trust you, I believe in you. I 00:40:08.37\00:40:12.61 haven't stopped believing. And what your word says. I want more off. You then I want to 00:40:12.61\00:40:19.61 seek for their help. And so today, yes, I am. I mean, listen in in psychotherapy or 00:40:19.61\00:40:25.62 or psychological therapy today and having someone that can talk to me reasonably and 00:40:25.62\00:40:32.93 rationally about how I may have arrived at the damage that that 00:40:32.93\00:40:36.67 experienced in my life. And I'll be honest with you. I believe that that it is extremely 00:40:36.67\00:40:42.04 helpful in my walk with God. And so I want to move more fluently into this rebuild column today 00:40:42.04\00:40:48.94 of experiencing all that God has for my life. Is it going to be the same as somebody else's? 00:40:48.94\00:40:56.38 We're all unique individuals. We may all come to a different level of healing, but that 00:40:56.38\00:41:01.49 healing is always going to be in agreement with scripture. Whether I remain celibate 00:41:01.49\00:41:05.09 weather remains single or whether I end up marrying somebody. I put all those in 00:41:05.09\00:41:10.47 God's hands, but I think that he wants me to do my part. You many have prayed that prayer 00:41:10.47\00:41:16.24 God, take this way. Make me straight. But God, I think wants us to see how intricate 00:41:16.24\00:41:23.31 this is and to come in just to the sexual integrity of God's design. It does involve some 00:41:23.31\00:41:28.75 processing on my part. So God will do his part. But he wants me, though, that an agreement 00:41:28.75\00:41:33.96 with him and trusting him and walking with a developing discipline with them. So is 00:41:33.96\00:41:39.49 not a got a force. Know he's a kind of invitation. Otherwise we'd all be robots. I'm afraid 00:41:39.49\00:41:43.63 that we might be coming. Robots the voices that are getting 00:41:43.63\00:41:49.80 taken away from us today and stipulating this is a legal. This is like, oh, you can't 00:41:49.80\00:41:54.21 choose this. You can't do that. Well, where is my individuality? And where is my freedom in an 00:41:54.21\00:41:59.75 America? Where is my freedom of choice? Where's my religious freedom? Like a lot of things 00:41:59.75\00:42:04.25 that are legal but not everything that's legal is supported by Scripture. the 00:42:04.25\00:42:08.79 Times says. >> Many of the things that are praised among men are reproached So want to 00:42:08.79\00:42:15.33 talk about this that many of our audience members may not even know this part because not too 00:42:15.33\00:42:18.70 many years ago in America, same sex marriage was legalized. So 00:42:18.70\00:42:27.01 there many people today that now celebrate the freedom to now is somebody of the same sex. 00:42:27.01\00:42:31.98 And, you know, you may remember that time of the whole White 00:42:31.98\00:42:36.28 House has all of the rainbow colors. And and that was without gifting 2015 years her all 00:42:36.28\00:42:40.36 around the nation and that door was open. But there's something that was still kept in place 00:42:40.36\00:42:46.39 that I believe many of our audience members don't know about what I want to have. You 00:42:46.39\00:42:49.93 do is read that. But I want to bring the graphic up on the screen. So while you are reading 00:42:49.93\00:42:54.67 it, those of that are watching the program can follow along and see that there's certain 00:42:54.67\00:42:59.91 things that let you lead into it and then read it So in the same sex marriage, bill. 00:42:59.91\00:43:07.78 >> This is overlooked. But this is this is in the statement on 00:43:07.78\00:43:10.95 the approval for same sex marriage in America. And so the Supreme says and I think they 00:43:10.95\00:43:17.89 have that graphic to put up. Finally. It must be emphasized that religious and those who 00:43:17.89\00:43:27.07 adhere to religious doctrines may continue to advocate with utmost sincere conviction that 00:43:27.07\00:43:34.91 by divine precepts, same sex marriage should not be condoned. The First Amendment ensures that 00:43:34.91\00:43:40.55 religious organizations and persons are given proper protection as they seek to 00:43:40.55\00:43:46.86 teach the principles that are so fulfilling and so central to their lives and phase and 00:43:46.86\00:43:53.90 to their own deep aspirations to continue the family structure. They have long Wow. 00:43:53.90\00:44:00.50 >> You know, I'm until you have you know that to me. I knew as a pastor, I still have 00:44:00.50\00:44:05.94 the freedom. Yes, yes, to maintain the relationship given to us, but I didn't know 00:44:05.94\00:44:10.31 that this was in place right? I didn't know that. I thought that 00:44:10.31\00:44:13.98 while he speak out against show that will, you know, be in some kind of legal bind, but it's 00:44:13.98\00:44:20.52 encouraging to see it. And then that's encouraging and you have 00:44:20.52\00:44:24.49 preached. >> Well, you preach from the word of God and track that preached about that topic. 00:44:24.49\00:44:29.23 put redemption but redemption a key redemption. And you do have family members that are 00:44:29.23\00:44:35.54 okay. Yeah. And that's why that's why this not being a very I love very dearly said a 00:44:35.54\00:44:39.41 lot of people think that. Well. >> And if you say we'll have a 00:44:39.41\00:44:42.94 of a drug addict and my family you know, send him a program, we can get dry out. Yes, but 00:44:42.94\00:44:49.98 you say, but have somebody, my family, this gay and now it's it's almost mute. Which is 00:44:49.98\00:44:56.06 interesting because we don't win with somebody wants to get help in those areas. don't 00:44:56.06\00:45:02.76 criminalize that. So if somebody that's a goes to Weight Watchers 00:45:02.76\00:45:06.13 and they don't lose the weight that they anticipated losing, watch it. We don't say, Well, 00:45:06.13\00:45:10.07 I'm gonna take that to court. I'm going to criminalize that organization right? 00:45:10.07\00:45:14.41 >> Or for if I didn't get Dryden get sober, I'm going to go make sure that nobody can 00:45:14.41\00:45:19.45 have meetings. We don't do that. We let choose as to whether they 00:45:19.45\00:45:23.28 want to go in or out of those programs. I'd like to share another quote. I'm from an 00:45:23.28\00:45:30.33 unlikely source name is Camille Paglia. She is a lesbian activists and she has this to 00:45:30.33\00:45:38.87 say. Homosexuality is not normal. On the contrary it is a challenge to the norm. Nature 00:45:38.87\00:45:45.27 exist, whether academics like it or not. And in nature, pro creation is the single 00:45:45.27\00:45:54.12 relentless rule. Our sexual bodies were designed for reproduction, right? No one is 00:45:54.12\00:46:00.82 born gay. the idea is ridiculous. Homosexuality is an adaptation, not an inborn trait. 00:46:00.82\00:46:07.40 And so this is coming even from someone who seems to have to have a head on their shoulders 00:46:07.40\00:46:12.93 in the in the LGBT community. I know of another lesbian activists that I've read, 00:46:12.93\00:46:17.04 similar quotes. I'm too this, too, that seem to realize now what doing that because you read 00:46:17.04\00:46:23.45 a quotation which seems >> opposite to lesbian This statement is the person who 00:46:23.45\00:46:26.35 is, in fact, a lesbian. >> And supports it as an I understand the correct. That's 00:46:26.35\00:46:32.02 But there it. But she's saying that this whole ideology, I was born this way is that she 00:46:32.02\00:46:36.59 said the idea is ridiculous. It is an adaptation, not an inborn trait, correct? Wow. 00:46:36.59\00:46:43.33 And talk to me. I believe that she is endorsing. >> The right 00:46:43.33\00:46:49.10 to And so there are those in the LGBT community today that say they didn't choose to be this 00:46:49.10\00:46:54.04 way. So I would reflect back on my childhood. There was a long time that I had attractions 00:46:54.04\00:46:59.05 before I ever acted out on them. >> So there are things because 00:46:59.05\00:47:03.89 again, from a standpoint of a of a belief in God and knowing the fall of Satan that that we 00:47:03.89\00:47:10.46 are affected. We haven't we where we were born with the stain of Santa Ana. So our 00:47:10.46\00:47:13.76 natural bent is towards cent. We don't have to act on that sent off. And so with proper 00:47:13.76\00:47:20.54 training, which I believe should be available for parents who 00:47:20.54\00:47:24.14 have children who they want to make sure that whatever frustration they're dealing with 00:47:24.14\00:47:29.41 is dealt with from scripture away from a prayerful way in a way that they can needed. As we 00:47:29.41\00:47:34.02 read earlier at your home, I'm child in the way they're they're raised that they will 00:47:34.02\00:47:40.56 return on sitting in child in the way they should go and the role they will not tip. I 00:47:40.56\00:47:44.83 believe that's why I'm sitting here today because while I didn't understand it all, when 00:47:44.83\00:47:49.50 I was young, my parents did put that in me. And and I the only part they don't like 00:47:49.50\00:47:55.00 about that verse is that it says that they will turn return when 00:47:55.00\00:48:00.68 they're old. Haha >> as and when they all, they not depart from it. >> Okay. So that's better. 00:48:00.68\00:48:06.48 >> Haha. So I'm I'm grateful for the my parents did everything 00:48:06.48\00:48:09.88 they could to show their love and their care. Even in the years I lived in the LGBT plus 00:48:09.88\00:48:17.16 community. They continued to pray for me. I believe that prayer is extremely powerful, 00:48:17.16\00:48:21.60 that if it wasn't for prayer, that God maybe could not have held this handover me because it 00:48:21.60\00:48:26.74 wouldn't have it would that would have been forceful if it wasn't at the praying of 00:48:26.74\00:48:30.71 somebody else to have the holy spirit near me or the the Angels 00:48:30.71\00:48:37.15 to to guide me and protect me during yeah. That didn't get aid. So many people son die. 00:48:37.15\00:48:42.32 remember back then. >> When many were dying from aids, prayers of your parents. >> More powerful. 00:48:42.32\00:48:48.32 Yeah. I think they out a lot and the pads. >> Also make a 00:48:48.32\00:48:51.93 statement that may seem kind of odd and I a statement but this may seem kind of off of this 00:48:51.93\00:48:57.43 particular topic and it is, in fact, one what people might say, well, why do you have to say 00:48:57.43\00:49:03.34 that about people that are LGBTQ? But I want to say this. God loves everyone. Absolutely. 00:49:03.34\00:49:11.11 So this is not a topic about whether God loves a God hates because God is love. First, 00:49:11.11\00:49:14.65 John 4, a he who does not love does not know God for God is love. This is the thing that 00:49:14.65\00:49:21.02 we but a lot of people stopped there and say, well, God loves than just the way they are. 00:49:21.02\00:49:27.50 But you can find in scripture, any example in the life of Christ where he met a person 00:49:27.50\00:49:31.93 with a war and left them with a were. And I think that's what you're talking about. The 00:49:31.93\00:49:36.64 rebuild column. And almost this ideology that if you say, well, God loves the LGBTQ 00:49:36.64\00:49:42.41 community, you might think. that's weird. We wouldn't think is where it will take of 00:49:42.41\00:49:47.68 the alcoholic. love the. Person that's, you know, strung out on 00:49:47.68\00:49:51.69 drugs. But I'm so glad he does. But almost like when we say loves people that are struggling 00:49:51.69\00:49:56.59 in this aspect of their culture, that it almost seems like a like a 10 on the side and not saying 00:49:56.59\00:50:03.77 well, doesn't 11 just that way. But you have a hard time saying, well, if God really 00:50:03.77\00:50:08.07 loves my son, when is he going to deliver him from his addiction to drugs? We don't 00:50:08.07\00:50:14.54 save. Got really loves my My cousin. When is he going to deliver him or her from that 00:50:14.54\00:50:19.38 lifestyle? We almost kind of cut off deliverance when it comes to that point. I think 00:50:19.38\00:50:22.82 that's the Bible with some of you. That's right. God delivers. Doesn't matter what 00:50:22.82\00:50:27.46 it is. So I want I want to say this too. >> To the LGBT person 00:50:27.46\00:50:34.86 who is listening. That I apologize to you. For the church for the church which had the 00:50:34.86\00:50:45.57 history of not knowing how to reach out for not knowing what to do. For mistreating for 00:50:45.57\00:50:52.45 alienating for sidelining, for ostracizing, for making you feel 00:50:52.45\00:50:56.28 unwelcome and I'm comfortable. I lived there and that's what drove me out of the church. But 00:50:56.28\00:51:03.93 to be honest with you, how the church acts. Isn't necessarily what's prescribe from Scripture 00:51:03.93\00:51:11.53 and God is asking us to show love and compassion. >> And as it has an advantage 00:51:11.53\00:51:17.47 knowing our denomination that. >> We've done a great job with with with the light and the 00:51:17.47\00:51:24.58 truth. But we always and we haven't always known how to convey the love and the 00:51:24.58\00:51:27.38 compassion. And love and compassion from Jesus doesn't leave you the way you are. And 00:51:27.38\00:51:34.29 then it picks you up out of the dredges and and says, you know, I've got more planned 00:51:34.29\00:51:38.83 for you. If you'll trust me. And really, you do have to develop a trusting God to know 00:51:38.83\00:51:43.70 that he has your every desire in his heart. He knew where we are born inequity, but God 00:51:43.70\00:51:49.84 says he purpose for you. His plans for you means you no harm me. Only desire is good 00:51:49.84\00:51:56.44 for you and saw I pray that you will give Jesus a chance and that I understand the 00:51:56.44\00:52:03.85 agenda of the LGBT plus community. I understand the individual of wanting to be 00:52:03.85\00:52:08.36 how you feel. But if we all lived, according to our feelings, are every feeling 00:52:08.36\00:52:13.70 that we felt we would all be in jail, you know, because there's, you know, people get 00:52:13.70\00:52:16.53 upset and they they want to strangle somebody just because they were having a bad day and 00:52:16.53\00:52:21.27 they don't agree with them. So for men and women today who are married? It doesn't you 00:52:21.27\00:52:29.44 know that the wall is not pulled over their eyes. They can still 00:52:29.44\00:52:32.65 see that there are other beautiful people in the world, but it doesn't mean that they're 00:52:32.65\00:52:35.42 going to go. >> And have relations with the with those individuals of intimacy because 00:52:35.42\00:52:41.06 God asks us not to. And that's denying ourselves for Christ can be extremely difficult. And I 00:52:41.06\00:52:47.73 think that proportionate to the death of which we have experienced Jesus doesn't tell 00:52:47.73\00:52:54.70 us to go and live a life of sand like I did. And every send that 00:52:54.70\00:53:00.21 we. Agree to makes it harder for us to get out. And so when you do get out. It can be some nasty 00:53:00.21\00:53:07.28 scars on you like it did on me that it's caused me to fall. yet I'm I'm standing back up and I 00:53:07.28\00:53:13.62 want to stand with Christ. And I believe that crisis going to bring me through this. And 00:53:13.62\00:53:15.96 then for that bring you through this. And so I pray that you 00:53:15.96\00:53:22.13 will give a chance that you'll give Jesus account a chance. And that. This and you know, if 00:53:22.13\00:53:28.50 there are therapies out there, you should interview a person that you're going to have 00:53:28.50\00:53:32.51 counsel with. What type of therapy do you? Do? You administer what type of 00:53:32.51\00:53:39.38 modalities to you use? And so people who are going for therapy typically are going on their own 00:53:39.38\00:53:44.59 accord. And so it would be good strange and awful. >> To say that somebody can't 00:53:44.59\00:53:48.86 go and seek the help that they desire. That's right. That's 00:53:48.86\00:53:54.86 right. >> You is wonderfully said that's what from your heart. love the appeal. You made 00:53:54.86\00:53:58.37 so sincere because you were there. It. >> We have to talk. 2 00:53:58.37\00:54:05.51 people, not at them. And these are other children that belong with which ISIS to be part of 00:54:05.51\00:54:09.54 his family. And somebody comes into the church, if they're seeking Jesus to should be 00:54:09.54\00:54:14.45 welcome. In fact, a couple comes into your church. They should be 00:54:14.45\00:54:20.72 welcome. But I say to the pastor are to the leadership staff. Don't stop preaching the gospel 00:54:20.72\00:54:26.56 of Jesus Christ because that you now have subjects that are hungry and thirsty for what she 00:54:26.56\00:54:29.40 says has to offer that person become a new creature in Christ. 00:54:29.40\00:54:33.74 Second Corinthians 5.17, tells me who I am today. Based on the fact that I surrender and give 00:54:33.74\00:54:40.34 my life over to him. That right? If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. All things have 00:54:40.34\00:54:47.08 passed away. Behold, all things have become new. >> And that's 00:54:47.08\00:54:52.62 why you I think you what is the time to talk about. You said I want more and so we go on to 00:54:52.62\00:54:56.59 verse 18 19 instead of first Corinthians. Our second Corinthians 5.17. There's more 00:54:56.59\00:55:03.20 because it says to participate and the Ministry of Reconciliation it right. So this 00:55:03.20\00:55:08.24 is what this is his why I would be speaking today. >> To you today is because I'd 00:55:08.24\00:55:12.14 experience life in the LGBT culture and I've experienced a taste of what she says has to 00:55:12.14\00:55:17.55 offer me and he has good things to offer mean he has good things 00:55:17.55\00:55:21.48 to offer. You know, why do you call it culture? >> Well, you 00:55:21.48\00:55:26.15 know, I came to find out that those who are LGBT plus activists started saying, you 00:55:26.15\00:55:31.69 know, we really kind of hate the reference to lifestyle. Yeah, and I started wondering why. 00:55:31.69\00:55:36.03 Well, lifestyle implies that somebody yet everybody our Dana fined by the lifestyle are are 00:55:36.03\00:55:43.24 are products of everything from within the lifestyle, which is, you know, going to the 00:55:43.24\00:55:46.47 Gabe the sex the bars, all these different things said that are kind of negative type 00:55:46.47\00:55:54.42 of connotations, whereas there very well could be people within the culture that are in 00:55:54.42\00:56:00.06 a monogamous same sex relationship. If I state culture 00:56:00.06\00:56:04.69 to you, it doesn't have a negative connotation. It's a it's a an inclusive, not a 00:56:04.69\00:56:14.27 derogatory statement about homosexuality or transgender And so lifestyle just has that edge 00:56:14.27\00:56:19.47 of like, oh, you're one of those. And you do all I did. Thank you for explaining that. I 00:56:19.47\00:56:24.61 would. If you have questions, please send your questions in. >> To live at 3ABN, Ott TV. 00:56:24.61\00:56:31.09 You can e-mail them in all. You can text your questions and foe Wayne Blakely at 6, 1, 00:56:31.09\00:56:38.26 8, 228-3975. That right. >> And we've been talking about some 00:56:38.26\00:56:44.77 categorical topics tonight, which is kind of halfway through, but we want to be able 00:56:44.77\00:56:50.61 to feel to some of your questions. lot of times people say, this is an edgy topic, but 00:56:50.61\00:56:56.08 it's also a topic that when it comes to redemption, there's no topic off the table. But Biden 00:56:56.08\00:57:01.78 says for God, so loved the world. He didn't put a category a sign set, OK, Sade, and I'm 00:57:01.78\00:57:06.59 just going to go and that you have them because I really can't do anything for them for 00:57:06.59\00:57:10.53 God. So loved the world. His redemption is available for everyone. 20 seconds. What 00:57:10.53\00:57:15.23 could you say for people that are going to for the second 00:57:15.23\00:57:18.27 hour? >> Well, I would like to give a definition on reparative therapy to because it's often 00:57:18.27\00:57:22.14 referred to as conversion and reparative therapy. So we'll talk a little bit about that 00:57:22.14\00:57:26.01 after the break. Wow, we talked about rebel, resist, renounce it 00:57:26.01\00:57:33.95 more about rebuild because, hey, God is the greatest the world has ever known. And he's also 00:57:33.95\00:57:36.25 the greatest rebuilt. If he can create the world, he can create. All of us are going 00:57:36.25\00:57:40.79 take a short break. Don't go away. We'll be right ¤ 00:57:40.79\00:57:49.83 ¤ ¤ 00:57:49.83\00:58:09.85
