00:01 As you're well aware,
00:02 we're living in unprecedented times. 00:05 Join us now for Today special program. 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:18 Mending broken people 00:23 I want to spend my life 00:29 Removing pain 00:34 Lord, let my words 00:39 Heal a heart that hurts 00:44 I want to spend my life 00:50 Mending broken people 00:55 I want to spend my life 01:00 Mending broken people 01:14 Hello and welcome to 3ABN Thursday Night Live. 01:18 I'm Jill Morikone. 01:19 And tonight's program, I just hope right now 01:21 that you have your seat belt on. 01:24 Because we have an incredible program for you at home. 01:27 From terrorist to Adventist. 01:30 You might say, "What in the world 01:32 is that all about?" 01:33 We're going to see videos and footage and hear stories 01:37 of how the gospel is opening up in the country 01:40 of the Philippines. 01:41 And specifically, how rebel armies, 01:45 rebel generals. 01:47 I think maybe even some assassins 01:50 have converted and accepted the Lord Jesus 01:54 and how peace is coming 01:55 into certain regions there in the Philippines. 01:59 And this is due to the work of the Holy Spirit, 02:01 number one, but also the work of AWR, 02:05 Adventist World Radio. 02:07 We love AWR here at 3ABN. 02:10 We've partnered with them for years. 02:12 We believe in the mission and the message 02:15 that they proclaim. 02:16 And it's my great privilege to be here tonight 02:19 with the president of AWR, Elder Duane McKey. 02:22 And we're just so grateful you're here tonight 02:24 and excited about the stories. 02:26 We're excited too to be here with you. 02:27 Thank you so much, Jill. 02:29 It's just a thrill to work together in partnership 02:32 with these projects. 02:34 Thank you so much. 02:35 Amen. Absolutely. 02:36 We've worked together for a long time. 02:38 Yeah, we have. It's been good. 02:39 It has. Actually, yeah. 02:41 This AWR has been around for about 50 years. 02:45 And that ties into the rebels 02:47 because they've been around for about 50 years. 02:49 It ties into Kathy and I, because we got married 02:54 about 50 years ago. 02:56 But she was only 13 years old. 02:58 Well, I was thinking she might have been five. 03:00 Yeah. Five, that's right. 03:03 Sitting next to you is your beautiful wife, 03:05 Kathy McKey. 03:06 And you are the General Conference Social Media 03:09 and Outreach coordinator. 03:10 I know you work out of Elder Ted Wilson's office. 03:13 You're just a beautiful woman 03:14 with a precious heart and spirit, 03:16 and we're so glad you're here tonight. 03:17 It's wonderful to be here. 03:19 We have missed coming because of COVID. 03:22 Yes. I know. 03:24 So it's a privilege to get back together again 03:26 and to hear and to see 03:28 what God is doing through the ministry of AWR. 03:31 Sitting next to you is the honorable Kathryn Proffitt. 03:34 Now I know you were ambassador of... 03:36 Several years ago, to the Republic of Malta. 03:39 You're also the board chair 03:41 of Your Best Pathway to Health, 03:42 and we've interacted on that level. 03:44 You're my sister in Jesus. Amen. 03:46 And you're a board member on AWR, 03:48 and that's why you're here tonight. 03:49 That's right. Thank you, Jill. 03:51 Very, very glad to have you here 03:53 and looking forward to what God's going to do. 03:56 Sitting next to you, last but not least, 03:58 is my sister, Sue Hinkle. 03:59 And you are the Adventist World Radio outreach coordinator. 04:03 And how long have you been with AWR? 04:05 About four and a half years now. 04:08 And let me just say, it's the most exciting 04:11 four and a half years of my life. 04:14 Because just to see the miracles 04:16 that God is doing, 04:17 like we're going to talk about tonight. 04:19 This is unheard of, unbelievable. 04:22 That's right. So we're excited to share it. 04:24 Amen. I cannot wait to hear the stories. 04:26 But first, let's just open up the program in prayer. 04:29 Before we had the live program here tonight, 04:32 we prayed. 04:33 But especially, let's go to the Lord in prayer. 04:35 Amen. 04:36 Holy Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, 04:38 and we're grateful that You seek 04:41 and search for those who are lost. 04:43 We're grateful that no matter our past, 04:46 that we have a future in You. 04:48 We're grateful for the doors You have opened 04:51 and what You have done there in the Philippines, 04:55 and especially, in Mindoro. 04:57 And we ask Lord Jesus, 04:59 that You will continue to water the seeds that have been sown. 05:02 And tonight, our hearts would be energized 05:05 and encouraged by seeing what you are doing 05:08 and what you are going to do. 05:09 And we just thank you. 05:10 We ask for Your presence now in Jesus' name. 05:14 Amen. Amen. 05:16 So take us back. 05:18 Why the Philippines? 05:20 Because tonight, we're focused specifically on the Philippines 05:23 and the miracles that God's doing there. 05:25 But how did AWR 05:27 even become involved in the Philippines? 05:29 Actually, Jill, 05:31 we worked with different ministries and different... 05:33 North Pacific Union and Quiet Hour 05:36 and just different ones, Elder Falkenberg 05:40 and its programs and things. 05:42 And we'd take... 05:43 We found out after going to many places 05:44 around the world, Kathy and I have taken probably, 05:47 what, 2,000 maybe? 05:49 Yes. 05:51 People, young people mainly, 05:53 to teach them to preach evangelistic sermons 05:55 and see lives change. 05:56 We just... 05:58 We were just at a church, couple of churches recently, 06:01 and young people pastoring 06:03 had gone on one of these trips with us and decided 06:05 to become preachers. 06:07 And so it's thrilling to see lives changed like that. 06:10 We know what it does to young people 06:11 and older people as well. 06:13 Amen. Kathy had that same experience. 06:14 I think we all... They all have. 06:16 All the... 06:17 Almost all the people at our office have gone 06:19 and preached and have life changing experiences 06:22 when they preach. 06:23 It just... It's incredible. 06:24 And so we've seen that happen. 06:26 And then we found out 06:28 that Mindoro was a great place to go 06:30 because we had good meetings. 06:31 The hotels were good. 06:33 It was near Manila. 06:34 It wasn't in the big city of Manila. 06:36 We've done meetings there too, 06:37 but it's better to get out in the villages. 06:39 So that worked very good, 06:40 but they told us that it cost... 06:44 Well, we needed to give about a $1000 for medicines 06:48 because island is controlled by the mountains, by rebels. 06:53 Oh, wow. 06:54 And so, many are assassins. 06:57 And so we found... It was very easy. 06:58 We would just take $1000. 07:00 It was to buy medicines. 07:03 Was it scary going in, 07:04 knowing that it's controlled by the rebels? 07:05 No, because they left us alone. 07:08 Actually, we have a friend who is a driver, 07:11 and his cousin was the leader. 07:14 And so we would give him $1000. 07:15 I'm not sure if it was really for medicines. 07:21 That's when you don't ask any questions. No, no. 07:23 We gave him $1000, and he gave it to the rebels, 07:26 and the military knew it and it was fine. 07:28 And just, you know, that way, they wouldn't shoot us. 07:33 And they did, they killed 40,000 people. 07:36 Oh, wow. And well, the military and... 07:40 We went through to Kathy to the military base once 07:45 toward the beginning. 07:46 And... Is this in Mindoro? 07:48 In Mindoro. Yes. Okay. 07:49 Thanks, yeah. 07:50 And the general said, he said, 07:52 "We are sick and tired of killing our own people. 07:54 Thank you, AWR. Thank you, Adventist Church." 07:58 And so he said, you know, 40,000 people dead. 08:02 And what would happen, 08:03 there's a place called Zigzag. 08:05 And you had to almost stop to go around this zag 08:07 in the road in the mountains. 08:09 And the military trucks would come by 08:11 and then the rebels would be on top of the mountain 08:14 and shoot down at them. 08:15 And then there was retaliation 08:17 where the military would take their gunships 08:20 and go back up into the mountains. 08:21 And it is just back and forth and tons of people died. 08:26 You know, it was horrible. 08:27 So we... 08:29 The military told us this and this, 08:31 and then all of a sudden, we started broadcasting. 08:34 We'll get into that more with the Japanese. 08:36 But when we started broadcasting, 08:39 we began to get... 08:42 Villages were saying that we're listening up in the mountains. 08:47 And this had never happened before. 08:48 We never... 08:49 You know, we just wanted them not to shoot us. 08:51 But Sue Hinkle, we were going there, 08:54 we were talking about the rebels. 08:56 And what did you pray? 08:57 Well, you talked about this road, Zigzag. 09:00 And I remember standing on a hill 09:02 and someone in our group said, "You know, behind us, 09:06 I'm sure this rebel group are watching us." 09:10 And I remember standing on that hill and praying, 09:14 "Lord, they need to hear you too." 09:15 Yes. 09:17 And we started praying and the team started praying. 09:21 And then I guess, I got bold with God. 09:24 And I remembered reading a quote 09:27 from Ellen White that said, 09:29 "God likes us to ask for big things." 09:31 So I said, "Lord, bring the whole regime down." 09:35 Oh, wow. 09:37 And you know, and I, you know, 09:39 I'm sure others were praying too, 09:40 but I thought... 09:42 Wow. "God can do it." 09:43 If we're instructed to ask God for big things, 09:46 and God loves us to ask for big things, 09:48 well, God, here you go. 09:50 Here's a big thing. 09:52 And I thought, Sue. 09:54 What did you just pray for? 09:56 Ephesians 3:20. 09:58 That's the theme for Mindoro Island. 10:01 But IĆ¢ | 10:02 God is able to do exceedingly... 10:04 Abundantly above all that we ask or think it. 10:06 It's my favorite text. Amen. 10:07 But I thought, "Just give them $1000." 10:12 You won't be shot. 10:13 So, Jill, in 2016, 10:17 Duane had been asked to preach on the island of Mindoro 10:22 for a camp meeting. 10:24 And he met with the pastors 10:28 at that camp meeting. 10:30 And Robert Dulay was kind of leading the group. 10:35 And so Duane, 10:37 he wasn't president of Adventist World Radio yet. 10:40 He became president in January of 2017. Okay. 10:44 But he said, 10:45 "Be sure and use radio to broadcast the messages." 10:50 And Robert thought, 10:53 "Radio won't work." 10:55 Oh, wow. 10:57 You know, if people say to you 3ABN won't work. 11:00 Or 3ABN Radio won't work at all. 11:02 But people, it did work. 11:04 Of course. Yeah. 11:05 It was just amazing. 11:07 See, we were getting ready for a series of meetings 11:08 with the Japanese. 11:10 We had the total member involvement. 11:11 We had just done... 11:12 Remember back the year before in Rwanda, 11:15 where we had a100,000 baptisms? Yes. Absolutely. 11:17 So this time we thought, 11:19 "Okay, the GC said go to a hard country and try it." 11:23 So we picked Japan. 11:25 But the Japanese had never done evangelism. 11:27 So before we get to Japan... Yeah. 11:29 I think we have a video that's... 11:31 We have a lot of videos tonight. 11:32 I believe Robert Stotz put a lot of these together. 11:34 Yeah, he did. Is that right? 11:36 He's our buddy. We love Robert. 11:37 Thank you. Thank you. 11:39 This is another example of partnership, right? 11:42 Between 3ABN and AWR because Robert 11:44 and his wife Nadi were part of the 3ABN family for years. 11:47 And then God called them to AWR. 11:49 Well, he's a wonderful... He is. 11:51 Wonderful man of God. 11:52 So the first video. 11:53 Why don't you set up the first video we're going to see? Sure. 11:55 Okay. Yeah. 11:56 Let's look at this video and it kind of... 11:58 And it rolls into the front with... 12:00 Into our time and then it starts rolling back. 12:03 So let's look at it. 12:05 This is, this huge baptism that we just had. 12:11 This is the one just a... Just... 12:12 Just last... Three weeks... 12:14 Three weeks ago. Four weeks ago. 12:15 Baptizing the rebels. 12:17 Just came back from the Philippines 12:18 Earth's Final Countdown. 12:19 Right. But you know what, Duane? 12:21 I mean, there's so much to tell. 12:23 Let's go back to the beginning. Yeah. 12:24 Let's go back to the beginning. Yeah, let's go back. 12:26 Here we're going back. 12:28 And we'll come back and go over a lot of this. 12:29 So these are the rebels. These are... 12:31 They're being baptized. 12:32 These are the Japanese. 12:34 Lots to tell. Lots to rewind. 12:36 This is the rewind. That's right. 12:38 We're just going... Taking it back. 12:39 And what has happened with AWR here? 12:42 Of course, AWR has been very active, 12:44 involved in a lot of other places in the world. 12:47 But this rolls it back. 12:49 And that's kind of fills in what we were talking about. 12:52 See, to go to Japan, we're thinking, 12:55 "How are we going to get our Japanese laypeople 12:57 and pastors interested, excited?" 13:00 And as I said, all these have been... 13:03 And most of our staff have done meetings. 13:06 And we've seen over the years with young people and others, 13:09 it changes lives. 13:10 You know that. Yeah, it does. 13:12 Absolutely. It changes lives. 13:13 And so we thought, "If we can just get the Japanese. 13:16 If we can get them over to Mindoro, 13:18 have them preach their first series. 13:20 Then next year when we go back to Japan, 13:22 Elder Wilson will preach, I'll preach, others will, 13:24 and they'll preach too." 13:26 So that was the plan to get them excited. 13:28 To see, you know, get their feet in the water 13:31 in baptism. 13:33 And, Sue, 13:35 when they came the president of Tokyo, 13:40 the conference in Tokyo, you were talking to Obara. 13:42 Uh-huh. 13:44 So I was having lunch and sitting with Pastor Obara 13:47 at the table and trying to get to know him a little bit. 13:49 And he was going to be one of our speakers. 13:52 And I saw... 13:53 I asked Pastor Obara, 13:54 "So have you done evangelistic series before?" 13:58 And he goes, "Oh, no, never." 14:00 I said, "Oh." President. 14:02 I said, "Yeah." 14:03 President of the conference. Oh, okay. 14:04 And he said, "Actually, I have only attended 14:08 one evangelistic series in my whole life," 14:10 when he was young. 14:12 Twelve years old. 14:14 And I said, "Oh, okay." I said... 14:16 So trying to learn more, 14:18 I said, "So what do you do in Japan?" 14:21 He goes, "Well, we have weekend events." 14:23 Okay. 14:24 I said, "Okay, what do you talk about?" 14:25 He said, "Family issues, health issues." 14:29 I said, "Oh, okay." Nothing evangelistic. 14:31 But that's what I said. 14:32 So nothing doctrinal, nothing evangelistic. 14:34 He goes, "No." 14:36 And so in my mind I'm thinking and I said to him, 14:39 "So how's that working out for you?" 14:42 And what he say? That's a great question. 14:44 He got sober and he said, "It isn't." 14:48 And they had actually had a negative membership gain 14:51 that year. 14:52 He said, "It isn't working." 14:53 So he was very open to trying this 14:56 and learning how to do this. 14:59 And so he came and preached his first meeting. 15:02 It changed his life. Wow. 15:03 And imagine, 15:05 you know, they had to preach in English. 15:10 This was really difficult 15:11 because the translators couldn't... 15:13 They could translate from English, 15:14 but they didn't know Japanese. 15:16 So that was a... 15:17 It was hard and a lot of work. 15:18 They spent many hours, but it was successful. 15:21 In fact, I think we've got a video that talks about 15:25 what happened after this evangelistic campaign 15:27 in Mindoro. 15:28 It's really amazing. Right. 15:30 Is that up next? That's next. 15:31 Okay. Good. 15:33 Let's go to that video right now. 15:35 But it happened. 15:36 It has happened right now here in the Philippines. 15:38 A group of people, 25 of them, walked out of the mountains, 15:42 across jungles, and rivers, and streams to be baptized. 15:47 Twelve of them were baptized. It was so exciting. 15:49 They walked, not 20 miles, not 20 miles, but 48 miles. 15:54 It was truly unbelievable 15:56 to baptize these people. 15:57 They had so much excitement and desire to see Jesus. 16:06 We are experiencing the outpouring 16:08 of the Holy Spirit here on this island. 16:31 We knew we would have success here, 16:33 but we never imagined we would have the success 16:37 that we are having here today. 16:40 Some of these Japanese pastors, their entire lives, 16:44 they baptize one or maybe two people a year. 16:47 And to be here 16:49 and all of a sudden have this mass baptism 16:50 where they're baptizing 25, 30 people, 16:53 it will change their lives forever. 16:55 And they're going to take that fire, 16:57 and they're going to go back to Japan. 17:01 To see that person come up out of the water 17:04 with such joy on their face. 17:06 There's nothing like that. 17:08 And you times that by 1,400. 17:11 That's what this Sabbath was like. 17:20 As a result of AWR's ministry in Mindoro, today, 17:24 we are baptizing more than 1,400 people. 17:28 I thought before that radio would not work here in Mindoro. 17:32 Now I believe that God is still working great job 17:37 to reach people and to prepare people for His kingdom. 17:43 So 'cause those are really... Amen. 17:46 What an incredible 17:48 miracle to see what God is doing. 17:50 So just for clarification, 17:52 AWR began broadcasting in March there in 2017. Right. 17:56 And these meetings were in the summer. Right. 17:59 And the... 2017. 18:01 And the soil was fertile. It was ripe. 18:03 It was ready. 18:05 What happened is, you know, 18:06 Robert Dulay and the rest of them. 18:08 I was at this pastor's meeting, this is camp meeting time. 18:10 It's Christmas, or just Christmas time. 18:12 And so it was... 18:14 I talked to him. 18:16 I said, "We're going to have a Japanese come here 18:17 who going to help us. 18:19 "You know, the relationship between the Philippines 18:20 and Japan. 18:22 And they thought this was kind of interesting. 18:24 So they're going to help the Japanese 18:26 become evangelists, teach them. 18:29 So they said, "Okay." 18:32 But they're all thinking this won't work. 18:34 And then, Kathy, they went for three weeks. 18:37 That's right. 18:39 They broadcast for three weeks. 18:41 This is 20... 18:42 2017, the beginning of the year. 18:46 And nothing happened after three weeks. 18:49 And so they came up with a God plan. 18:53 It was God-driven plan. 18:55 They gave the question of the day. 18:59 They would give a message and then ask a question. 19:03 And they'd say the first five 19:05 that have the correct answer, 19:08 tomorrow call in and you will get a gift. 19:13 Oh, that's a great idea. 19:14 And so these broadcasters are actually church members 19:19 or pastors, but they're local. 19:21 And so the people that got the correct answer, 19:25 the broadcasters would actually take the gifts 19:30 to the people themselves. 19:33 So it's a radio or a Bible. 19:34 Something nice, a nice gift. 19:36 Yeah. They give out five or so. 19:37 And then all of a sudden, we had these villages. 19:40 And they got so excited, they said, 19:43 "You know, we want to become Adventists." 19:44 Wow. Whole village. 19:46 We started seeing pockets, 19:48 you know, in the mountains, different places. 19:50 And when they would find a pocket of people 19:52 that were interested, 19:54 then we sent Bible workers. 19:56 And so Bible workers actually would stay in the village 19:58 with them, villages with them and start working with them 20:02 more and more. 20:03 And this went like wildfire. 20:07 You know, I remember Duane and Kathy, 20:09 we were there and we got the report. 20:12 Guess what? 20:13 One whole village wants to become Adventist. 20:16 And then the next day, there was three, 20:18 and then there was five. 20:20 Whole villages. Whole villages. 20:21 Yeah. We couldn't believe it. 20:22 We kept sending Bible workers and they funded it. 20:25 Wow. 20:27 So we sent Bible workers in 20:28 and they started studying with the people and how... 20:31 And then there were 60, Sue, and then 70. 20:34 And then... 20:35 Ninety and then it was over 100 and then... 20:37 Villages. Oh, and now, you know what? 20:40 And... 20:41 Now there are over 500 villages. 20:46 Amen. Five hundred and forty three. 20:48 Five hundred and forty three villages? 20:50 Villages. 20:51 Now some of these aren't all becoming Adventist, 20:53 but the message is working in those areas. 20:56 And some of these are rebels. 20:58 They're actually 70 villages 21:00 that are rebel villages are Adventist. 21:03 Wow. Are Adventist. 21:04 You know what I love that Adventist World Radio 21:07 is it goes where we can't go. 21:10 Wherever air goes, Adventist World Radio goes. 21:13 And unbeknownst, because people... 21:15 The village people were coming down, 21:18 and they were coming down 21:19 so they could hear the radio better. 21:21 They would show up in the bottom of the mountains. 21:23 But that message was going to people 21:25 that we did not imagine were hearing. 21:28 That's right. 21:30 So we've got a video that tells a little bit 21:32 of the story of what happened next of the... 21:37 And, Duane, you were referring to it. 21:38 How did it happen that these terrorists 21:42 actually became Adventist? 21:44 God used Adventist World Radio and the airwaves. 21:48 Amen. Let's go to that video right now. 21:52 One year ago, AWR 360 organized events 21:55 across the island of Mindoro in the Philippines. 21:58 Along with the broadcast, many meetings took place 22:01 and more than 2,000 were baptized. 22:04 Then soon after, over 77 new villages 22:08 turned their lives over to the Lord 22:10 as the layman radio host kept preaching. 22:13 But then some of the new listeners 22:15 made a surprise visit to one of our AWR radio broadcasters, 22:20 Robert Dulay. 22:22 As he was biking home one day, 22:23 he saw four strangers at his front door. 22:27 They told him they were rebels. 22:31 On March 29, 1969, 22:33 The New People's Army was formed. 22:36 Armed with weapons, 22:37 they gradually infiltrated the country. 22:40 Their goals have been to overthrow the government 22:43 and establish a Mao-style communist regime. 22:48 They regularly ambush police and military forces. 22:53 Are these men and women to be feared 22:54 for their brutality, to be rejected and abandoned? 22:58 Or is God calling His faithful to go out into the highways 23:02 and byways to preach there too? 23:04 They pleaded with us 23:06 to send someone to the village to preach, 23:08 as they had been listening to the radio 23:10 and wanted to know more about Jesus. 23:13 It is now four months later, 23:15 AWR 360 is heading to the forbidden mountain area 23:19 in the midst of where these rebels live. 23:24 Our team boards a small mission helicopter. 23:29 And it takes us to the top of the mountain. 23:33 We are welcomed and the natives eagerly give us a tour. 23:37 It's amazing to see how these precious people live. 23:41 Then I sit down with Effren, 23:43 the first one who started listening to AWR. 23:47 My life was always on edge. 23:50 I did many things I would rather not talk about. 23:54 But one day as I was listening to the radio, 23:57 something different came on. 24:00 It was AWR's health program. 24:03 As I listened, 24:05 I discovered that these people were helping many 24:07 with their health problems. 24:08 They also talked about the supreme healer, 24:11 one whose life was devoted to others rather than Himself. 24:16 This thought appealed to him, 24:17 and he felt the need to share it with others. 24:21 Then he began to wonder, 24:22 "Who are these people 24:24 who are sharing this loving message?" 24:26 He knew he had to find out for himself. 24:29 I had to know more. 24:31 So I sought out the speaker of this program. 24:35 I sent fellow members in my unit 24:37 to invite him to the mountaintop. 24:40 The road they took down many times 24:42 had been used to hurt or injure. 24:44 But this time, it was different. 24:47 My friends asked him, 24:49 "Please come preach to us in the mountains." 25:04 As they met, Effren shared 25:06 how he has a desire to learn more about Jesus. 25:10 And AWR 360 was happy to oblige. 25:15 Many laymen pastors also climbed the mountain to preach. 25:20 And soon, many new rebels heard about God through the radio 25:24 and Bible studies. 25:26 And they too have the need to share it with others. 25:31 And then the day came 25:32 when Effren himself walked down the mountain 25:36 with one final request. 25:39 I want to be baptized, and so do many others. 25:45 And so on top of this once dangerous mountain, 25:49 laymen doctors healed those who were sick. 25:52 And the mouths were cleaned by the volunteer dentists. 25:56 Our AWR 360 team spoke with many villagers 26:00 and prayed with many more. 26:03 Additional rebels arrived 26:05 because they were interested in witnessing 26:07 what was going on. 26:09 Our team preached to them, and then it was time to baptize 26:13 those who had made their decision for Christ. 26:16 It was a joyous walk to the baptismal site. 26:20 And I believe all of heaven was rejoicing with us 26:23 as we watched Pastor McKey baptize five rebel generals, 26:28 along with 60 other soldiers. 26:32 These men who were once killers in the land 26:35 have now died to self. 26:38 They have laid down their earthly weapons 26:40 and exchanged them for a heavenly reward. 26:45 What I witnessed today was truly a miracle. 26:49 In one of the most dangerous places on earth, 26:52 Adventist World Radio boldly went forth, 26:54 so yearning ears could hear the mercy 26:57 and forgiveness of Jesus. 27:00 Lives were changed for eternity. 27:02 And now many more have a new hope of heaven forever. 27:07 And this is only the beginning. 27:11 Amen. 27:12 Five rebel generals and 60 rebel soldiers baptized 27:17 as a result of the Holy Spirit working through AWR. 27:21 That's an incredible story. 27:23 That is unbelievable that God could do this. 27:25 I say to Kathy, "What a time to be alive? 27:28 Can you imagine this? 27:30 "And to be there and with the helicopter and the fliers out. 27:34 Actually, they said, 27:36 "Well, we'll take you in by horse." 27:37 And Kathy said... 27:39 I can't ride a horse. 27:41 First, they said, "You can walk up 27:44 and it'll be 10 or 8 to 10 hours." 27:47 And I said, "Uphill and mud to the knee. 27:52 No." 27:53 Then they said, "Well, you can take a horse." 27:55 I said, "I can't ride a horse." 27:57 And then Robert saw me two days later and he says, 28:01 "Hey, pastor, I got it figured out. 28:03 The military would take their helicopter and fly us up." 28:06 And I said, "No." 28:09 But you know, 28:10 because they'll see the helicopters 28:14 from the military coming in. 28:15 They've been going up there and shooting them. 28:16 Right. 28:18 And they might shoot back. That's right. 28:20 You might have been shot. 28:21 So we found one of our missionary helicopters 28:25 that the church has there. 28:26 So they're independent ministry, but it's great. 28:28 You know, they took us up. 28:29 Charged us very little and took us in and out. 28:31 He had how many trips? 28:33 Nine trips. 28:34 The pilot actually got air sick 28:37 because it was so many trips up. 28:40 Up over the hill and down the hill... 28:41 Yeah, yeah. In a little engine. 28:43 A little wind and yeah. 28:45 So that was just the first baptism of many. 28:48 Yeah. And I just wanted to make mention. 28:50 When we were up there, 28:51 I remember after the baptism, Duane, you got... 28:55 We gathered all these generals together to get a picture. 28:59 And I remember you had your arm around some, 29:02 and you giving them the charge. 29:04 Now they had accepted Jesus Christ. 29:07 Now it was their job to tell others 29:11 and they have done that. 29:13 They have, they have. 29:14 I'm going to tell you more about that. 29:15 You know, they're charged. 29:17 What they're getting ready to do. 29:18 Kathy... Yet there's... 29:20 Tell us in a bit? In a bit. 29:23 But the incredible thing is each one of these... 29:27 You know, we're up to almost 70. 29:29 But there's families, there's wives and children. 29:33 So the numbers are much bigger, 29:35 but each one of these people who were atheists, 29:38 they've been fighting to overtake the government. 29:42 It just... 29:43 There's so many stories. 29:44 Each person there's a story. 29:46 And so we've got a video that tells just about one, 29:50 you want to... 29:51 They're going to church, let's see it. 29:52 Just about one. It's... 29:54 Do you want to talk about that individual? 29:55 No, let's go ahead and I'll tell afterwards. 29:57 Okay. Say something about him. 29:58 Sounds good. Yeah. 30:00 Let's take a look at the executioner. 30:04 I have killed so many. 30:06 How could God forgive me? 30:11 Can Jesus' love forgive even the most vile of killers? 30:14 Stay tuned. 30:16 This is AWR 360. 30:33 AWR 360 is in the Philippines. 30:38 Agriculture makes up one seventh 30:40 of this country's economy. 30:43 Many locals make a living selling a variety of fruits 30:46 and grains from their fertile land. 30:49 I am visiting a local market in search of some interesting 30:52 native fruits. 30:53 Many are unique to the Philippines. 30:55 Sour sop is uniquely spiky and tropical in flavor. 30:59 It tastes great once you get past its appearance. 31:02 This hairy looking fruit is called Rambutan. 31:05 It looks like a child's toy. 31:08 I was a bit skeptical about tasting it, 31:10 but the vendor assured me it was good. 31:12 I am glad I followed her advice and sampled it 31:15 because I immediately fell in love with this fruit. 31:19 Just like my experience in the marketplace, 31:21 sometimes it takes someone else's help 31:23 to guide us to something good. 31:29 There is a story in the Bible about a man named Saul. 31:32 He was an executioner for what he believed 31:34 to be a good cause. 31:35 But one day, he watched as Stephen was stoned to death 31:39 and he never forgot it. 31:40 It changed his life forever. 31:43 We are now on our way to meet a modern-day Saul. 31:48 As we enjoy a scenic route 31:50 through dense mountainside forest 31:51 and through trickling streams, 31:53 we soon reach our destination. 31:56 Upon arriving, I am warmly greeted 31:58 by Daniel and his family. 32:01 They place a beautiful tropical flower in my hair. 32:04 He then proudly shows me his radio, 32:06 the tool that truly saved his life. 32:09 As we step outside, he begins to share 32:12 the story of his dark past. 32:15 I don't deserve it, 32:17 but God has forgiven me 32:20 At a young age, Daniel was trained to kill. 32:24 His father was a commander of communist rebel soldiers, 32:28 The New People's Army. 32:30 His cousins and uncles were rebels too. 32:33 In fact, nearly his entire family 32:35 was part of this feared group. 32:37 Daniel was born into this life. 32:39 It was all he had ever known. 32:41 He wasn't even a teenager 32:43 when he made his first kill. 32:45 Because Daniel did not hesitate to murder, 32:48 he became the island's top hit man. 32:51 Throughout the Philippines, 32:53 he would hunt the people his group marked for execution. 32:57 He was a messenger of death, 32:58 always duty-bound to terminate everyone on his hit list. 33:03 It became easy for Daniel to kill 33:05 the corrupt politicians, 33:07 policemen, rapists, and robbers. 33:09 But there was one death 33:11 that increasingly began to trouble his conscience. 33:13 It was the order to kill a pastor 33:15 who begged him for his life. 33:17 Daniel showed no mercy. 33:19 He could not. 33:20 It was his duty to kill for the rebel cause. 33:24 The more he killed, the more numb he became, 33:27 never wanting to remember the faces of his victims, 33:30 especially that pastor. 33:33 I can't even remember how many people I've killed. 33:38 One day, Daniel returned home to find his family listening 33:42 to an unusual broadcast on the radio. 33:44 His wife insisted that Daniel sit down 33:46 and join them. 33:48 The interesting thing is, he recognized the station 33:50 to be Adventist World Radio. 33:52 He knew other rebels 33:53 who were also listening to these programs, 33:55 and many of them were convicted to give up fighting 33:58 and be baptized. 33:59 This was the first time he really seriously listened 34:02 to what the speaker was saying. 34:04 He heard about peace and a loving Savior 34:06 who would leave his 99 sheep 34:08 to go back for the one that was lost. 34:11 Daniel's heart softened. 34:12 And in that moment, he understood, 34:14 he was the one lost sheep. 34:17 That's when Satan tried to undo 34:19 all that the Lord had just accomplished. 34:21 Daniel was informed 34:23 that his closest cousin was killed in a skirmish. 34:25 Rage was mounting in his heart, 34:27 and he immediately vowed revenge. 34:29 He was my family and friend. 34:31 I knew I had to kill again. 34:35 Upon seeing Daniel's rage, 34:37 his wife knew what would come. 34:39 She begged her husband to please stay 34:41 and turned up the radio. 34:43 The broadcaster spoke about a forgiving Savior. 34:46 Daniel felt like the speaker was talking directly to him. 34:50 His heart broke. 34:51 Could Jesus really forgive his sins? 34:54 In that moment, something changed. 34:57 He cried as he understood that, 34:59 even though he was an evil man, 35:01 God could still wash his sins away. 35:04 As Daniel looked down at his innocent child 35:07 gazing up at him, 35:08 he made the decision to start a new life with his family. 35:14 Looking at my past, I know I am unworthy. 35:17 But God still has forgiven me. 35:20 Only He could change my wretched heart. 35:24 He studied daily with his wife and soon made the decision 35:28 to be baptized. 35:31 Daniel now feels the joy of being forgiven. 35:34 Like Paul of old, for many years, 35:37 he lived and fought for the wrong cause 35:40 until Jesus interceded and called him. 35:43 Now a new man, he lives for Christ. 35:48 Only through the miracle of God's love 35:50 can a rebel executioner be forgiven and transformed. 35:54 There are millions of people today 35:55 who carry a heavy load of sin. 35:58 They need to know 35:59 that there is forgiveness in Jesus, 36:01 that they can live a life free from the burden of guilt. 36:05 What a privilege to be able to share 36:07 this wonderful message of hope with others like Daniel 36:11 around the world. 36:12 Thank you for your support that makes this possible. 36:16 We so appreciate you partnering with us 36:19 in the greatest calling ever, the saving of souls. 36:23 Working together, 36:24 we can make a difference for eternity. 36:26 From broadcast to baptism, this is AWR 360. 36:46 We call that a two-hander. 36:47 Praise the Lord. 36:49 What an incredible story. 36:52 It's just... 36:53 You know, that's only one person. 36:54 But you realize that that same experience of realizing, 36:59 can God forgive me? 37:00 Can God forgive my past? 37:02 Can I be free from that guilt from the things 37:04 I have done in the past? 37:06 That was multiplied 37:08 across countless of those rebel soldiers, wasn't it? 37:10 Yes. Amen. 37:12 You know, the interesting thing is that to show 37:16 how the military worked with us and the rebels, 37:20 it's back and forth. 37:21 The man playing that part, 37:24 we didn't want to show the real man's face 37:27 because of their feelings. 37:28 So that wasn't actually Daniel. No. 37:30 Okay. Okay. 37:31 But the interesting thing is this man's name is Freddy, 37:35 and he is a CIA. Oh. 37:38 And so... Really? 37:40 And so as we were talking to him later, 37:43 so he played the part. 37:44 He did. Okay. 37:46 And he laughs. He said... 37:47 You know, he's military. Right. 37:48 I played the part of an assassin. 37:51 But the military see themselves also as assassins. 37:54 You know, they cry when you talk about... 37:56 When they were baptized... But Freddy... 37:57 I said, "Freddy, have you been baptized?" 38:00 He says, "No." Wow. 38:01 But he says, 38:04 "The conference, the church is asking me to come 38:08 to St. Louis next year. 38:10 And when we have a baptism at St. Louis... 38:13 "He'd been told this. 38:15 I said, "Freddy, you're going to be baptized 38:16 and you'll let me baptize you." 38:18 He said, "Yes." Wow. 38:19 So just so I get this right. 38:20 So the man who actually played Daniel in this little clip 38:24 is going to be baptized in St... 38:25 In St. Louis. Wow. 38:27 He's military CIA. Yes. 38:29 Wow. It's just incredible. 38:31 But you know, when you talk to military 38:34 that were baptized, 38:35 and as we were talking to them, they... 38:39 It's funny. 38:40 They'll say something like, "I was chasing you." 38:43 And the other ones were... 38:45 And you know, there 40,000 people had died 38:48 and yet they're able to talk together afterwards. 38:52 I was at a table with military Adventists... 38:56 And rebel Adventists. 38:57 And rebel Adventists, and they were talking. 38:59 And they were enemies before. 39:00 Yeah, they were talking together. 39:02 Wow. Just a young man. 39:06 He's a... 39:07 You know, he said the story could be over 39:09 and over again because there are so many. 39:10 This young man, we're at Rojas 39:12 and we're having training. 39:13 We're giving them video projectors 39:15 to the military, 39:16 giving video projectors to the rebels. 39:18 As... 39:20 And they go up in the mountains and become evangelists. 39:22 Talk about health programs, 39:23 and then they talk about... 39:25 And we teach them what to say and how to do it... 39:27 And so we're sitting at this big table by the ocean 39:30 and they're talking. 39:32 And I realize all of us sudden, these are Adventists. 39:35 Yeah. 39:36 Some used to be CIA. 39:39 Some used to be assassins. Right. 39:43 And they'll say things like, "I was chasing you." 39:46 And other will say, "I was undercover, 39:49 and I was chasing you." 39:51 Wow. And then they... 39:52 They kind... They laugh and they cry. 39:55 Yeah. And they pray together. 39:57 In Christ, we are all one. 39:59 Incredible what the Holy Spirit has done. 40:01 Yeah. 40:03 But, you know, Jill, as a former diplomat, 40:06 I have never seen the diplomacy. 40:11 And I mean, normally, 40:13 if you're going to talk to the rebels, 40:16 you would not be talking to the other side. 40:18 You know, because it would be dangerous, 40:20 and they wouldn't accept you and they wouldn't trust you. 40:22 Yeah. 40:23 And yet, AWR through Rob, Pastor Robert Dulay, 40:27 but Duane directing this, 40:30 I can't believe it. 40:32 I know it was from the Holy Spirit. 40:33 But imagine if this kind of skill 40:36 happened in our political world. 40:39 So in addition to having a relationship with the rebels 40:43 when they asked, "Come and preach to us." 40:46 Adventist World Radio went to the military 40:48 and told them exactly what we were doing. 40:50 And they built trust with them. 40:52 They went to the local governor. 40:54 They went to the mayor. 40:55 So it was this group of everyone 40:59 who was interrelated, 41:00 but none of them were talking together. 41:02 And they brought understanding even though they... 41:05 In the beginning, wouldn't speak. 41:07 There wasn't trust. 41:08 They built trust. Because imagine the military. 41:12 This leads to, as we said, amnesty being given, 41:16 which is unheard of to these rebels 41:19 who had killed many, many people. 41:22 That happened because of the diplomacy, 41:24 because Adventist World Radio was to demonstrate 41:28 the sincerity by communicating. 41:31 When the rebels couldn't communicate, 41:33 they talked on their behalf. 41:34 And they also built trust with the rebels, 41:36 with the military. 41:37 It couldn't have happened any other way. 41:39 This was such an amazing miracle and such a God thing. 41:41 So miraculous. 41:43 AWR became like the mediator between the two? 41:45 Yeah, right. Okay. 41:46 It was AWR through the Holy Spirit 41:48 that brokered peace. 41:50 AWR brokered peace. It's just amazing. 41:53 You know, and it's so encouraging. 41:54 This story has affected me personally. 41:57 You know, as I have seen... 41:59 You know, we saw the executioner video. 42:02 These were killers, and Daniel said 42:04 he doesn't even remember how many he's killed. 42:07 And I'm sure many of our listeners, 42:09 just like us, we have family members. 42:12 There's people we're praying for 42:14 that have not accepted Christ. 42:16 And sometimes we may think, 42:18 "Are our prayers working? 42:19 Will God be able to get through to them?" 42:22 Yes. And we see how God... 42:25 If God can get through to these kind of people, 42:31 He can get through to our loved ones. 42:32 And that... 42:34 And I have claimed this story to God 42:35 when I'm praying. 42:37 Lord, I have seen what You've done for the rebels. 42:39 Yes. 42:40 You can do the same thing in so and so's life, 42:42 and so and so's life. 42:43 Amen. Wow. 42:45 And it's just... 42:46 It's been an encouragement to me 42:47 to see God working like this. 42:49 Yeah. 42:50 And you say if God can do that to a rebel. 42:51 Yes. If He can do that, why can't our churches? 42:55 Amen. 42:56 You know, put the differences aside. 42:58 Amen. Pray together. 43:00 Right. 'Cause Jesus is coming soon. 43:01 Amen. Amen. 43:03 Yeah, yeah. 43:04 We kind of went over a point 43:06 because we have so many things to discuss, 43:07 but I just want to bring this back out to... 43:09 You said that there's amnesty given. Yes. 43:12 Right. Is that correct? 43:13 Yes. 43:15 So now there is peace and harmony 43:16 between what used to be the rebels 43:18 and the government? 43:21 Yes, yes, yes. 43:23 And actually, we went to the president. 43:24 And later on, and said next time... 43:26 Next... 43:27 Yeah, later on. Kathy's going to talk about. 43:29 Give us just a little teaser of that, though, 43:31 that we know what's coming next hour or so. 43:33 We went to the palace to the president. Ooh. 43:35 The president of the Philippines. 43:36 Who gave... 43:38 He was the one that had to sign off on the amnesties. 43:40 And Elder Wilson thanked him over and over again 43:43 for giving the amnesties. 43:45 Unheard of... Wow. 43:46 Yeah. 43:48 What government in the world would do this? 43:49 It was God working from all sides, 43:52 from all sides. 43:54 More than we could ever think and imagine, 43:56 just like Ephesians says. 43:58 So you need to make sure next hour you stay tuned 44:01 because we're going to get all the details 44:03 of what God did there. 44:04 That's incredible. Okay. 44:06 And you know, Jill, you were talking about the amnesty. 44:10 So as the months went on 44:12 and more and more rebels were converted, 44:15 there were others that were watching, 44:17 but they were a little skeptical. 44:18 And so it was a transition. 44:20 It was a period of many months, 44:22 but they held a very special evangelistic series. 44:26 Pastor Dulay led out in his church. 44:29 And there was an evangelistic series 44:32 where those who were open were invited. 44:35 And then after that, there was... 44:37 There were actually three, 44:38 but this was the very first ceremony 44:41 where amnesty was given. 44:42 Ooh. 44:44 And it was amazing 44:45 because you will see this incredible partnership 44:47 that AWR through their diplomacy brokered, 44:50 because you will see 44:52 the general over all of the Philippines. 44:54 He was there. He signed. 44:56 You'll see the governor of the Philippines, 44:59 the mayor, and you'll see a... 45:02 All the rebels there, 45:04 everyone coming together for this ceremony to... 45:07 And to give forgiveness and pardon. 45:10 They had to surrender. 45:12 They had to turn in all their weapons. Oh, wow. 45:14 So we've got just a real short video clip. 45:16 Watch, when you show the video, watch the two ladies. 45:20 Okay. One is a general. 45:22 Oh. 45:23 She's a three-star, four-star general... 45:25 Four-star. 45:27 Leading out in this movement across the Philippines. 45:30 And she's there. 45:31 Watch her reaction when she gets the amnesty 45:34 by the military. 45:36 She's on the rebel side? Yep. 45:37 She's on the rebel side. She is a rebel. 45:39 She actually made her commitment for Christ 45:42 during the evangelistic series. 45:43 She had been watching. That we just did. 45:46 And what you will see and we'll show you 45:50 is a police officer 45:54 and this rebel embracing 45:56 and praying and crying together. 45:59 Only God can do that. Only God. 46:01 Yeah. Amen. 46:02 So let's go to that video right now. 46:07 So this is the video that we want to show you. 46:08 This is the... One of the most... 46:12 You know, work at Christmas time 46:14 and they say this is the most wonderful time of your life. 46:16 Well, not, not until you see if something like this happening. 46:20 This is during the evangelistic meetings, 46:22 so they're studying the Bible together. 46:23 All of these rebels are studying 46:24 the Bible together, and they're being supervised 46:27 by the military. 46:29 They're there present with them. 46:30 So military are there too. 46:31 And the military is studying the Bibles as well. 46:33 Wow. 46:34 Because remember here in our next section, 46:37 we'll see some big baptisms. Yeah. 46:39 Here's this... 46:40 Military are being baptized as well as rebels. 46:42 It's just amazing. It's touched their heart. 46:44 And when the military talk about their conversion, 46:46 they cry. 46:47 Here are the rebels coming in. 46:50 They're in the blue shirts. They've got blue. 46:51 I will go shirts on. 46:53 And they had a ceremony 46:54 where they're actually coming in one by one in single file. 46:58 And I forget, Duane, I think there were 70. 47:00 Here's the general. 47:02 This is the general. Yeah. 47:03 And the governor. The governor. 47:05 Pastor Dulay, the mayor. 47:06 They're all up here in the front 47:07 in this very formal ceremony. 47:10 This is during COVID, clearly with the mask. 47:13 Exactly. Exactly. Yeah. 47:14 I remember the central government 47:15 had to get permission. 47:17 Wow. And again, no government. 47:18 You know, we can't do this... 47:20 Here, they are receiving their certificates of amnesty. 47:23 Yeah. Wow. 47:24 Isn't that incredible? Wow. 47:25 What... 47:27 Like I said, no government that we know of, 47:29 you know, in the world gives amnesties to assassins. 47:34 Well, these are the two ladies, 47:35 rebel, general, and the military general. 47:39 She... The rebel general is a... 47:40 Yeah, these... 47:41 Praying together. Watch the... 47:44 Reconciliation. Just watch. 47:51 Unbelievable. That's the power of God. 47:53 Only God can do that. That's the power of God. 47:55 You can imagine their feeling, like, you know, 47:59 maybe the rebel general killed 48:02 the other one's, 48:05 you know, friend who was out in the front line with her 48:08 or maybe the... 48:09 And the retaliation came and the gunships came back 48:11 and the military say they don't want to... 48:14 Yeah, they're signing. What are they signing here? 48:15 Signing amnesties. This... 48:16 They created a document that everyone could see, 48:20 and they signed this huge giant document 48:22 giving amnesty to them surrendering and the terms 48:25 of their amnesty, basically. 48:31 So, and it was signed by all of those people 48:33 we talked about. 48:35 By all of the general, 48:37 the governor, the mayors, the local representatives, 48:42 and the rebels. 48:43 And the guns are handed over. 48:46 They pray together. 48:47 They study the Bible together. 48:49 And they're all baptized at different times together. 48:51 They're hugging each other. 48:53 Hugging each other, they're crying. 48:54 It's like nothing ever happened. 48:55 Yeah, yeah. 48:57 You know, like these people are interacting. 48:58 These two enemy sides are interacting like 49:03 nothing ever happened, 49:05 like God has given complete forgiveness. 49:08 Both the military and the rebels, they... 49:11 When you talk to them, they'll cry. 49:12 And they'll say, "You can't imagine what I did." 49:14 I talked to a young man during this, at this site, 49:18 another surrender. 49:20 And he said... 49:22 We've given him a video projector 49:23 to go up in the mountains and teach about Jesus 49:26 and the health message 49:27 and the military we're getting them too. 49:29 And so they were being trained. 49:30 And he said to me with tears in his eyes, he said, 49:32 "I killed the vice mayor of this town of Rojas." 49:38 And I said... 49:40 Put my arm around him and I said, "God forgives you." 49:42 I know. 49:44 I said, "You used to be an assassin, 49:46 but no longer. 49:47 You're going up in the mountains 49:49 with this video projector 49:50 and you're going to tell others about Jesus. 49:52 You're becoming an ambassador, 49:54 an evangelist for Jesus. 49:56 Amen. For Jesus. 49:59 If anyone's in Christ, he's a new creature. 50:01 Old things have passed away, all things have become new. 50:06 That just touches me deeply to think what God can do. 50:11 Look at God. 50:12 I mean, what an incredible miracle to see that happen. 50:16 It's a foretaste of heaven. Yeah. 50:18 It really is. It is. 50:20 And you can see these two former enemies, 50:22 I mean, hugging and crying. 50:23 You can't fake that. 50:25 This is real. 50:26 This is what God can do to actually create love 50:29 and friendship between former rebels. 50:31 I like to say, the first morning in heaven. 50:35 You walk out your door and you see your neighbor. 50:38 Maybe you don't want to ask him or her 50:41 what she did on planet earth. 50:45 But you want to see what Jesus did, 50:47 to redeem and forgive and cleanse and, you know. 50:51 These people love the Lord with a passion 50:55 that I've never seen before. 50:56 And I think it's... 50:57 It goes back to he who is forgiven more loves more. 51:01 They are so committed, 51:02 not just to changing their lives, 51:04 but they can't wait to tell other people. 51:06 They can't wait. Yeah. 51:07 And you can imagine all this is happening in the Philippines. 51:10 And AWR, I think Duane was supposed to be there. 51:13 They couldn't be there for this amnesty ceremony 51:17 that they had really organized and brokered peace. 51:21 What happened? 51:22 How did God use this situation with COVID? 51:25 We had this young lady who's working for AWR. 51:29 She's been on... Would that became equipment? 51:33 We love you, Cami. 51:34 I just have to say that she is an anointed speaker 51:37 and woman of God. 51:38 And so we decided... 51:40 Well, first, we had a guy that was going to do them. 51:42 And he kind of got cold feet. 51:45 So we decided to have series of YouTube meetings. 51:48 And we wondered during COVID, so we couldn't go. 51:51 So we decided that... 51:52 And, Sue, you worked so hard. 51:54 Can you tell us a little bit about how that game began? 51:57 This would've been in 2020. Yeah. 51:59 Okay. It was 2020. 52:00 So, you know, we're on lock down. 52:03 So the meeting... 52:04 So she taped the meetings in her living room 52:07 in front of her couch. 52:09 So we... 52:11 Cami wrote the messages. 52:14 We edited, edited. 52:15 I mean, we... 52:17 Hours into the night. 52:19 And we had a videographer come over, 52:22 and in her living room, 52:24 she taped all of those messages. 52:27 And it was powerful. 52:30 You know, I saw between what I saw in the script. 52:35 And when I saw her speaking, 52:38 I saw the Holy Spirit working. 52:40 You know, the script was powerful, 52:42 but the Holy Spirit that gave it that dimension 52:45 that I think went in and touched hearts. 52:49 I mean, there were so many baptized 52:51 because of that. 52:53 And we have had it translated now in, 52:56 right now, 36 languages. 52:57 Wow. We're working on many more. 53:01 But what do we have? 53:04 Over 10 million views with that series alone. 53:08 Yeah. God... 53:09 And this series, Unlocking Bible Prophecies, 53:13 we call it UBP. 53:15 That in the Philippines, 53:17 I mean, that went like wildfire there. 53:21 And they showed it all around and God used that. 53:26 So even though we couldn't be there personally, 53:29 God... 53:31 I think Duane gave you the idea 53:34 and our whole team rallied together 53:37 because this was a team effort. 53:38 Now, we teamed with you. You worked... 53:40 You're still working with us on this project. 53:42 We air it on 3ABN. Yeah. 53:44 Viewers love it. We get a tremendous response. 53:46 People love it. Ten million views. 53:49 It's just unbelievable this could happen. 53:51 In the Philippines alone, in the Philippines alone, 53:54 all across the Philippines, 200,000 baptisms. 53:58 God is... Wow. 53:59 It's just amazing. 54:01 So there's been 200,000 baptisms 54:04 across the Philippines. 54:05 Philippines, right. That's... 54:07 Amen. That's a two-hander times. 54:10 Absolutely. Yesterday, 54:13 Kathy and I, we got up. 54:14 We were going to fly down here to St. Louis 54:16 and then all this, you know... 54:18 Right. At work. 54:19 And so I said, "Kathy, look at this. 54:21 Look at this. Robert Dulay just... 54:23 He just..." 54:25 He just sent him a message about what's happening. 54:28 What was happening yesterday 54:31 with the remainder of the rebels. 54:35 And so we didn't know. 54:36 I've been asking, "How many are still up there? 54:38 How many are hiding?" And he said, "There are 17." 54:41 Seventeen? Seventeen. 54:44 That's it. Only... 54:45 We had 700. 54:47 These are the, not just the rebels, 54:49 you know, they're thousands that were having been baptized, 54:52 but these are the assassins. 54:55 Oh, wow. These are the bad guys. 54:58 He said, "They're 17 left." 55:00 And he said, "I just got a message from them. 55:03 They said, 'Come up. 55:05 We want to talk to you.'" 55:07 And General Viario... How do you... 55:09 What's his name? Viario. 55:10 Viario. Viario. 55:12 He's the general in charge. Right. 55:14 Military. Right. 55:16 And he says, "Don't go." 55:17 He said, "This is all this is happening. 55:19 You baptize all these people in the military and all this. 55:22 Don't go. You're being set up." 55:25 And Robert's says, "I think I need to go. 55:28 I think God is telling me to go." 55:29 And Sue is just telling us about her prayer. 55:33 You know, praying that God would... 55:36 It's amazing. 55:37 So now Robert said... 55:38 And then his wife said, "Robert, don't you go. 55:41 They're going to kill you." Yeah. 55:44 And Kathy is thinking... 55:46 Well, this Robert listens to the Holy Spirit. 55:51 Amen. 55:53 And his wife was very hesitant, 55:55 you know, saying, "Don't go." 55:57 But he went. 55:59 And the military said, 56:01 if you're not back by 10 o'clock, 56:05 we're sending a group up to the mountain. 56:08 Reinforcements. Reinforcements. 56:09 Yeah, we're going to, we're rescue. 56:11 Can you imagine what that would've done 56:13 to the whole project? 56:15 Yes. God's name. 56:16 I mean, wow. So Robert Dulay is killed. 56:22 And anyway, he went. 56:23 10 o'clock came. The rebels... 56:27 Robert had met with the rebels. 56:29 And the military general, he had said we, 56:33 you know, he's getting ready to go. 56:35 And the soldiers are starting up the mountain. 56:37 And Robert comes back down yesterday. 56:39 Oh, wow. He comes back down. 56:40 He said, "It's all set." 56:42 They're all going to surrender. 56:44 They want an amnesty, all 17. 56:47 Look at God. 56:49 You know? And so... 56:51 And then he said, 56:53 "The others in that whole area 56:54 who have been baptized already, 56:56 the others are preparing tomorrow to start 57:01 a reaping campaign, each one reach one, tomorrow, 57:05 in that whole area." 57:06 That's incredible. 57:07 You know, 57:09 Sue, you were impressed to pray this incredible prayer 57:12 that even Duane told me, he thought, "Oh, 57:16 Sue's going to be disappointed." 57:17 This wonderful prayer where you prayed 57:21 that all of these rebels would hear the gospel. 57:23 No one believed it, but the Lord did it. 57:25 He answered your prayers exactly. 57:27 What if you hadn't prayed that prayer? 57:29 Praise God, our prayers are so important. 57:30 Amen. What an incredible miracle. 57:33 I'm so sorry. 57:34 We're at the end of the first hour. 57:35 We are going to take a break, switch out some guests, 57:37 and continue this exciting miracle story 57:41 from terrorist to Adventist. |
