00:01 As you're well aware,
00:02 we're living in unprecedented times. 00:05 Join us now for today's special program. 00:12 I want to spend my life 00:18 Mending broken people 00:23 I want to spend my life 00:29 Removing pain 00:34 Lord, let my words 00:39 Heal a heart that hurts 00:44 I want to spend my life 00:50 Mending broken people 00:55 I want to spend my life 01:00 Mending broken people 01:23 Father in heaven How we love you 01:28 We lift your name In all the earth 01:34 May your kingdom be established In our praises 01:41 As Your people declare Your mighty works 01:46 Sing along at home. 01:47 Blessed be the Lord, 01:51 God almighty 01:55 Who was and is and is to come 02:00 Blessed be the Lord, 02:04 God almighty 02:08 Who reigns forever more 02:13 Sing that again. 02:14 Blessed be the Lord, 02:17 God almighty 02:21 Who was and is and is to come 02:27 Blessed be the Lord, 02:30 God almighty 02:34 Who reigns forever more 02:43 Welcome to this time of prayer and praise 02:47 as we are doing a special two hour live. 02:52 We are in the midst of the 10 Days of Prayer 02:55 that is airing on the Praise Him Network. 02:59 And it's been a real great time of revival 03:02 and for me, this is a time to draw close to God. 03:06 And I hope you have been watching that, 03:07 if not, you'll be able to tune into that 03:11 probably on YouTube at some point. 03:12 But for now, 03:14 I want to get the family around the piano 03:16 and just kind of delve in a little deeper. 03:19 And tonight, I thought it'd be kind of nice 03:21 to pray in this first hour, 03:24 especially the Lord's Prayer, 03:27 and each line breaking it down, 03:31 and just maybe take some notes or pray along with us at home. 03:36 This is for you and for us. 03:38 And God is our Father. 03:40 That's what we have in common, 03:41 thrilled to be a part of the family of God. 03:43 And as I said, 03:45 the family of 3ABN is right here with me. 03:47 And, John, 03:48 I know enough of your testimony to know some of your, 03:53 the relationship issues that you grew up 03:56 or didn't grow up with. 03:58 And, you know, the thing I love about Christianity is 04:02 it's not a religion, it's a relationship. 04:05 And so, what an awesome way I think that this would be 04:09 to just open the prayer from your perspective. 04:14 So our Father who art in heaven... 04:17 You know, when I hear the phrase, our Father, 04:19 it is special to me, having been born, 04:23 finding out many years later 04:24 that my dad's name, my father 04:26 wasn't even on my birth certificate. 04:29 And I was dropped off at home at three months old. 04:34 And God in His mercy, 04:37 knowing the journey that I was going to start 04:41 provided a father for me, 04:42 a man who never had children of his own. 04:45 And at 50 years old, 04:47 he decided to become my father. 04:50 And I know in a world there are many children 04:52 that can identify with people, 04:54 even when they pray they can't say, our father, 04:57 because their father, 05:00 son or daughter relationship has been so broken and tragic. 05:04 And so when I think about our Father, 05:06 I think, wow, you know, years ago, I wrote a song, 05:10 and my wife is aware of it, 05:11 you know, if he only knew that their roads would part, 05:17 what would he say? 05:19 And then the second part, 05:20 if he only knew their roads would meet, 05:22 he begin to say. 05:24 And so when I hear that song, 05:25 "Our Father," 05:27 oh, even the Psalms 23, 05:28 I've often said, 05:30 if you could begin the Psalm, our Father, 05:32 then everything after that 05:34 is going to be a part of your experience. 05:36 So I praise the Lord, you know, Paul the Apostle in Romans 8:15 05:41 brings it into such sharp focus. 05:44 When he says, 05:45 "For you did not receive 05:47 the spirit of bondage again to fear, 05:49 but you received the Spirit of adoration 05:52 by whom we cry out, 05:54 'Abba, Father.' 05:56 " I remember the stories people told me. 05:58 As I was growing up, my sister would tell me stories 06:00 'cause she also was left there. 06:02 She was three years old, when I was three months old. 06:06 And they would tell me that 06:07 I would wake up at night crying for my pacifier. 06:09 I couldn't even say pacifier, said pia. 06:13 And my father 06:16 will get up at night, 06:18 go to the store and buy one for me, 06:21 just so I could sleep. 06:23 I didn't intend to do this. 06:25 He would get up and go. 06:27 And he said, "I got your pia for you." 06:30 And I, not knowing that 06:31 that hand had nothing to do with my genetics, 06:34 but years later, I'd say, the father is the one, 06:37 not just who brings the child in the world, 06:40 but the one who stays around 06:42 to see him through hard times and tough times. 06:44 And my wife can tell you a lot of who I am, 06:47 is because of my father. 06:48 So when I think about 06:51 the importance of being in a relationship with somebody 06:54 we could look at and say, "Our Father." 06:57 It gives me a joy to be able to pray. 06:59 And when we started prayer, my wife is, 07:03 you know, we pray together. 07:05 She says, 07:06 "When you begin your prayer begin by praising your father, 07:09 thanking him and honor him, and raising him up in honor." 07:13 So I think this is a great time to just say, 07:16 let's go to our father. 07:18 Years ago, I heard a story when Ellen White would pray, 07:20 she wouldn't say, "Our father," 07:22 she say, "My father." 07:24 And H.M.S. Richards Sr., 07:26 he said, I remember hearing pray in public ones, 07:29 my father, 07:31 and he said, how good it was 07:33 the Holy Spirit just filled that place. 07:34 So right now, 07:36 you know, wherever you might be, 07:37 I don't know 07:39 what's your relationship is with your father, 07:40 I know there's probably somebody's looking at this 07:43 that doesn't know. 07:45 So let's just go right now and pray and ask God. 07:47 Our Father, 07:49 our Father, my Father, which art in heaven, 07:54 but who also truly abides in our hearts, 07:57 we pause and thank You 07:59 as we think about these 10 days of prayer. 08:02 How can we pray just for 10 days, 08:05 when every morning there's something to pray about 08:07 and something to thank you for. 08:09 But thank you for being an attentive Father, 08:11 a Father who provided all of our need, 08:14 a Father who saw our journey 08:16 before it unfolded and decided to pad it. 08:20 Finding a heart of a man who had room to be a father, 08:24 who didn't care about the genetic connection, 08:28 didn't care about the financial responsibilities, 08:31 but just saw this little tender child 08:33 grasping for someone to hold on to 08:35 and he decided to step in. 08:38 And, Lord, you do the same. 08:39 You came to a broken world 08:40 who didn't know who their father was. 08:42 And You stepped in. 08:44 And You taught your disciples. 08:46 And when you pray, just don't forget, our Father. 08:51 Pray in this way, our Father which art in heaven, 08:53 so we praise you, and we thank You, Lord, 08:56 for being our father. 08:58 As that is an honor to call You, 08:59 may it be an honor that we live as Your children, 09:04 in Your precious name I pray. 09:06 Amen. 09:11 Sing Holy, Holy, Holy. 09:13 Holy, holy, 09:17 Holy 09:21 Lord God Almighty 09:28 Oh thy works Shall praise Thy name 09:35 In earth and sky and sea 09:43 Holy, holy, 09:47 Holy 09:50 Merciful and mighty 09:57 God in three persons 10:05 Blessed Trinity 10:13 Angie, I heard John say that 10:18 when you pray 10:19 that you like to start the prayer off thanking Him 10:22 and acknowledging that He is holy and that He is God. 10:26 And that's what I love about you, 10:28 especially I've been with you many times on the road 10:31 when we've been, after John has preached. 10:35 And even during I love to watch you 10:37 because you're cheering him on and you're encouraging him. 10:41 And anytime I hear you talk, you're always edifying him. 10:46 And I love that as a wife, as a pastor's wife. 10:52 And so I love that, 10:54 I think it would be appropriate in fact, 10:55 to give you this line, 10:57 "Hallowed be your name, holy be your name God," 11:00 because you are so good at loving and worshiping. 11:04 So let's proceed. Praise the Lord. 11:06 God is so good to us. 11:08 And when I look back at the name, 11:11 hallowed be your name, 11:14 I think of growing up, my mother used to say, 11:18 protect the name, protect your name, 11:22 Marr, my maiden name was Marr. 11:24 She said, "When you go out in the streets, 11:26 you carry in our family name." 11:29 And I think of that how special the name was, 11:34 and it still is to me the name. 11:38 And when I think of my Lord, 11:39 I think of hallowed be His name. 11:43 He's a mighty God, strong tower. 11:47 And it says in Psalms 18:10, 11:50 "The name of the Lord is a strong tower, 11:53 the righteous run into it and are safe." 11:56 And in Proverbs 22:1, it says, 11:59 "A good name is to be chosen, 12:03 rather than great riches." 12:07 And I believe and I trust in the name of the Lord. 12:12 It is my strong tower. 12:15 He is righteous. 12:16 He makes me clean, that name of God. 12:21 He's a sanctifier. 12:22 He's called us and set us apart. 12:26 He's a healer. 12:28 He heals all my diseases as well as yours. 12:33 He's victory. 12:34 He has defeated my enemy. 12:38 He's my shepherd. 12:40 He speaks to me and He leads me. 12:43 He's the peace in the midst of my storm. 12:48 And He's the provider. 12:50 He provides all my needs. 12:53 Let's go to the Lord in prayer. 12:56 Precious Father in heaven, 12:58 what a privilege it is to call You my Father. 13:03 You are my strong tower. 13:05 I have run into You many times. 13:09 And You have always come through. 13:11 Lord, blessed be the name of the Lord, 13:14 You're worthy to be praised and adored. 13:17 And we lift Your name on high. 13:20 Thank You, Jesus for being there. 13:23 For being there for every one of us, 13:25 every one that's viewing and listening, Lord, 13:28 help them to know that You are there. 13:31 You are their father. You are their rock. 13:34 You are their healer, their provider, their strength. 13:38 Their all in all and my all in all. 13:41 So we give You praise, honor, and glory 13:45 in the precious 13:47 and the most worthy name of Jesus. 13:50 Amen. 13:52 Amen. Sweet. 13:54 Praise the Lord. 14:01 Have Thine own way Lord 14:06 Have Thine own way 14:12 Hold over my being 14:17 Absolute sway 14:22 Filled with Thy spirit 14:28 Till all shall see 14:33 Christ only always Living in me 14:47 We come to, 14:49 "Your kingdom come, 14:50 Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." 14:54 And as I was thinking about this program, 14:57 I thought, 14:58 that reminds me of my boss, my President Greg Morikone, 15:05 such a humble man and a man that I... 15:10 Greg, it's been amazing. 15:11 We've got pictures over at the sound center of you 15:14 working as a printer, 15:16 you working in the mobile traveled truck unit. 15:21 You've started at the bottom of this thing. 15:24 And here you are, 15:27 now we have to get an appointment with you. 15:30 No, actually, we don't 15:31 My door is always open. 15:33 Yeah, your door is always open. 15:34 And so, you know, I think of, 15:38 "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done," 15:40 we have our agenda. 15:43 But I know as a President of 3ABN, 15:46 you definitely, 15:48 even though you have all of us servants, 15:51 to yourself as your subjects, 15:54 we want to be in accordance to you. 15:56 We know that you follow God, as we all do. 15:59 But I think you see the correlation. 16:01 Yeah. 16:02 And thank you, Tim, you know, we're all a team together, 16:03 you know, we're all part of a family 16:05 and our goal is the same. 16:07 And, of course, yours at home, too. 16:08 And, Tim, I just want to say first, 16:10 before we talk about that part of the Lord's Prayer. 16:11 Thank you. 16:13 What a great way to start the year, 16:14 here we are in 2021. 16:16 Thank you for putting this program together. 16:17 It's a privilege and honor to be together. 16:18 And I know the family 16:20 there's a huge family here at 3ABN, 16:21 and we'd had everybody on if we could, 16:23 but what a privilege it is to serve the Lord together. 16:27 And I think back to last year, 2020, 16:30 we had no idea 16:31 when we did this program a year ago, right, 16:34 we did one for 2020 January, 16:37 we had no idea about the Coronavirus 16:38 and how that would affect the world. 16:41 And I know that a lot of people's plates, 16:43 even now probably seems so full, 16:46 don't have a job, 16:47 trying to figure out 16:49 the education situation with kids, 16:50 family members that may be sick, 16:52 family members that have died, lots of things. 16:55 But we know that 16:56 we can always trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. 16:58 And then Jill and I were talking to someone recently 17:00 that they're taking a big step in faith. 17:03 They don't have a job. 17:04 They're not sure what God has for them. 17:06 But they are standing firm, 17:07 they know that God does have something for them. 17:10 So, you know, I think about a lot of times 17:12 we have our own agendas in what we want to do, 17:15 you know, Tim, 17:17 but I like this here in the Lord's Prayer. 17:21 And if you want to find it, 17:22 there's several places in the Bible, 17:23 but Matthew Chapter 6, 17:25 and what Tim is referring to is verse 10, 17:28 it says, "Thy kingdom come, 17:30 Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven." 17:34 And I think, Tim, here, what you're talking about is, 17:38 Thy will is in God's will be done. 17:42 You know, we want, I know, I have ideas and things 17:45 that I want to do. 17:46 But when we pray, we want to say, 17:47 "God, You know the end from the beginning. 17:51 It's good for me to have plans, 17:53 but Lord, I want to trust You and You know what's best." 17:55 And then sometimes it's just, wait. 17:57 Sometimes I become impatient, Tim. 18:00 And I want to do something like right now. 18:02 But it's good to say, 18:03 "Okay, God, ultimately, it's Your kingdom. 18:05 We're here to serve You, Lord," 18:07 and just wait on Him. 18:08 So I think, 18:10 Tim, as we're looking at this year 2021, 18:12 I just want to rededicate my life to the Lord 18:14 and just say, 18:15 "Okay, I want to follow You, 18:17 no matter what challenges or things 18:18 we're facing in this life." 18:21 Ultimately, we're here to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. 18:24 So yeah, let's pray. 18:28 Father in heaven, Lord, I do thank You for this time 18:30 where we can spend this time in prayer and praise, 18:33 opening Your Word, 18:35 spending this time with some of our family 18:37 here at 3ABN, 18:38 but also with those that are viewing 18:40 and listening right now. 18:42 I don't know what everyone has faced this past year, 18:44 but You do. 18:46 And I liked what Pastor John was talking about earlier, 18:48 talking about his father here on this earth, 18:52 and how his father heard his cry for a pacifier 18:56 and did all that he could to provide that to Pastor John 18:59 when he was just a little baby. 19:01 And, Lord, we think about You as a God, 19:02 one that is holy, holy, holy, 19:05 but also one 19:06 that is willing to figuratively give us that pacifier to 19:10 when we cry and to help us whatever our need is. 19:13 Thank You, 19:14 O Father, for being that kind 19:16 and wonderful and gracious Father. 19:20 And, Lord, this year that we're in, 19:22 we just want Your priorities to supersede anything 19:26 that we have. 19:28 So my own personal life and, 19:30 of course, the Ministry of 3ABN, 19:32 Lord, we just dedicate to you. 19:34 For it is Yours, 19:35 and we are here 19:36 as vessels that You can pour through to others. 19:40 We thank You for hearing 19:42 and answering all of our prayers 19:43 and in Jesus name we pray, amen. 19:46 Amen. 19:53 Pardon for sin 19:57 and a peace that endureth 20:02 Thine own dear presence To cheer 20:08 And to guide 20:12 Strength for today 20:15 And bright hope for tomorrow 20:22 Blessings all mine, 20:25 With ten thousand beside 20:30 Sing with me, guys. 20:32 Great is Thy faithfulness 20:37 Great is Thy faithfulness 20:42 Morning by morning 20:46 new mercies I see 20:52 All I have needed 20:57 Thy hand hath provided 21:03 Great is Thy faithfulness, 21:08 Lord, unto me 21:18 The line in the Lord's Prayer that says, 21:21 "Give us this day our daily bread." 21:27 I know for myself 21:28 I forget to take this literally 21:31 because it says, this day our daily bread. 21:35 I can go to the store and stock up 21:37 and, you know, we have a lot of people 21:39 who in times of angst and uncertainty, 21:45 they'll store up their closet full of goods, dried goods, 21:50 and canned goods, and just... 21:53 And I think we sometimes, you know, 21:55 we let our scaredyness get us beyond this. 22:02 We could beyond what's today. 22:06 But I know that, Jill, 22:09 as COO, as Vice President of 3ABN 22:14 you and Greg both, 22:16 you are constantly looking to God 22:20 for just get us through today. 22:22 And yet you've got an eye to the future. 22:25 But you are definitely saying, 22:27 "Give us this day what we need to get through." 22:30 And so I think it might be great for you 22:32 to address this line in the prayer. 22:37 It's a privilege to share with each one of you, 22:39 privilege to open up the New Year 22:41 with that rededication 22:42 and reconsecration to the Lord Jesus 22:44 and a privilege to share with you at home. 22:47 You're a part of the 3ABN family 22:49 and we're just so grateful for that. 22:51 This line, 22:53 "Give us this day our daily bread, " 22:55 is interesting to me 22:56 'cause sometimes when I pray, I want to start there. 23:00 Do you ever there? 23:01 Okay, God, give me, right? 23:03 Our initial prayer 23:05 when we come into God's presence is, 23:07 I want this, I need this, give me this. 23:10 But you notice 23:11 it's in the middle of the Lord's Prayer. 23:13 It didn't start with, 23:15 "Give us this day." 23:16 It started with, 23:18 who are we and who is God, He is our father. 23:22 It starts with praising Him 23:24 and accepting His will 23:28 in our lives. 23:32 Once we reach that place of surrender, 23:35 once we recognize who He is, 23:38 then we're in a position to make our petition known, 23:42 to request of Him. 23:44 And the thing I love in this passage, 23:46 of course, there's literal bread. 23:48 And we need that every day. 23:53 You think about many times in the Bible times, 23:56 they were paid daily. 23:58 They didn't make a lot 24:00 and they would be paid at the end of the day, 24:02 their wages, 24:03 meaning they just got enough for bread for the next day. 24:07 It was just what they needed. 24:09 And many times we come to God saying, 24:11 but I want this 24:13 and next month, I'm going to need that 24:14 and next year, I'm going to need that. 24:17 But what He promises us is what we need for today. 24:22 But I see another analogy in this, 24:25 not just physical bread, 24:27 not just the necessities that we need, but spiritually. 24:33 Jesus said in John 6:34, 24:35 "I am the bread of life." 24:39 And you think about in Matthew 4, 24:41 the temptations. 24:42 And when Satan came to Him, to Jesus, and said, 24:46 "Turn these stones into bread." 24:48 And He said, "It is written, 24:50 'Man shall not live by bread alone,' 24:51 but by every word 24:54 that proceeds from the mouth of God.' " 24:56 So every day we are called to come into His presence 25:00 and say, 25:01 "God, I'm broken. I am weak. 25:05 I need you. 25:07 I need spiritual strength just for today. 25:11 Not for tomorrow. 25:12 But I need it for today." 25:16 Are you feeling weak in this New Year? 25:18 Do you feel like, 25:19 "I need help, I need grace, I need strength"? 25:23 Do you need peace in your life? 25:26 God has promised that He will give you what you need 25:29 just for today. 25:32 Maybe today you don't know 25:33 where tomorrow's food is going to come from. 25:36 Maybe you don't know... 25:39 Maybe you lost your job due to COVID, 25:41 maybe you lost a family member and you're struggling in that. 25:46 Psalm 121, 25:48 "I will lift up my eyes to the hills." 25:52 Why do we do that? 25:54 "From whence cometh my help," your help comes from Jesus. 25:58 We can think we depend on the government. 26:01 We can think we depend on the church. 26:03 We can think we depend on other people, 26:06 but none of that. 26:08 We depend solely on the Lord Jesus Christ. 26:11 Our help comes from the Lord. Why? 26:15 Because He made heaven and earth, 26:16 because He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, 26:20 because He sees your need right now, 26:23 and because He wants to hear, because He wants to answer. 26:27 Let's go to Him right now in prayer. 26:30 Holy Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus. 26:34 We need You. 26:36 God, would You give us this day our daily bread? 26:41 I'm praying right now 26:43 for my brothers and sisters, those watching, 26:46 maybe that mama with those babies 26:51 and she's on her knees crying before You. 26:55 God, would You just give me bread to feed them, 26:58 just for today? 26:59 God, would You look upon her? Would You hear her cry? 27:04 And would You fulfill her need just now? 27:08 I think of, Father, 27:09 that husband who maybe lost his job 27:11 and wants to provide for his family 27:14 but he's not able to. 27:15 God, would You stand in the gap? 27:19 Would You provide the needs of that family? 27:22 I'm thinking of my brothers and sisters who spiritually, 27:26 maybe they need strength. 27:27 God, we need strength, we need hope. 27:30 We need grace. 27:32 Whatever our need is right now, 27:36 God, would You supply it? 27:40 Thank You that You hear. Thank You that You answer. 27:45 Thank You that we can trust You 27:47 with the little things in our lives 27:49 and the big things. 27:51 And we lay before You our needs, 27:55 knowing that 27:57 You are going to do exceeding abundantly 28:01 above all that we can ever ask or think. 28:05 And we thank You in Jesus' name. 28:08 Amen. 28:10 Amen. 28:29 Jesus! 28:31 What a Friend for sinners 28:35 Jesus! Lover of my soul 28:41 Friends may fail me, Foes assail me 28:47 He, my Savior, Makes me whole 28:52 Hallelujah! 28:53 Hallelujah! 28:56 What a Savior 28:59 Hallelujah! 29:02 What a Friend 29:05 Saving, helping, keeping, loving 29:12 He is with me to the end 29:22 We have just a couple of other lines 29:24 in this prayer. 29:27 And so, Ryan, it was between me and you. 29:31 And whenever I just kind of flipped a coin 29:35 and then your name came up on, 29:38 "Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors." 29:40 And I thought, well, you know, 29:42 I think you're going through some school right now, 29:44 aren't you? 29:45 And... It's true. 29:47 Don't you probably have a line in there 29:48 where you could pray for some forgiveness of debt 29:52 on your school debt? 29:53 That's true. 29:55 Maybe this does apply to you 29:56 more than just luck of the draw. 29:58 Right. Right. Yeah. 29:59 If anyone who's been a college student 30:01 unless you had a full ride all the way through, 30:05 you want some scholarships, 30:07 that I can resonate with that thought. 30:10 But yeah, 30:13 this part of the scripture says, 30:15 "Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." 30:21 It's conditional. 30:30 You know, when I think of this part of this prayer, 30:39 there's many people that don't fully understand 30:42 the significance of this. 30:45 I think forgiveness is probably 30:47 one of the hardest aspects of life 30:50 for many people. 30:51 It's one of those things 30:52 that you hear a lot of people say, 30:54 "You know, I don't think I could ever forgive you." 30:56 Or, you know, there's people 30:57 that struggle with even forgiving themselves. 31:00 And, but forgiveness exists because of love. 31:07 And love only exists because of God. 31:11 And that's why I love 1 John 1:9, 31:14 because it gives us 31:16 the very foundational truth of forgiveness, 31:22 that, "If we confess our sins, 31:24 He is faithful 31:26 and just to forgive us our sins." 31:29 And it's a package deal, Pastor. 31:32 Jesus didn't die on the cross just to forgive us, 31:36 but to also cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 31:41 You know, Jesus makes it very clear that 31:46 if we cannot forgive others, 31:50 then He can't forgive us. 31:52 That's a serious thing. That's a salvation thing. 31:55 And, you know, there may be someone at home right now 31:57 that you're struggling with forgiving someone, 32:01 someone's hurt you, 32:03 someone's done something that you cannot even possibly... 32:09 You can't possibly think of forgiveness 32:11 because it's too hard to comprehend. 32:15 There's times in my life 32:16 when I have perhaps been done wrong, 32:20 perhaps I have done wrong to someone. 32:23 And in the end, 32:28 everyone desires forgiveness. 32:31 But it's a gift. 32:33 It's a gift granted to us. 32:39 What humbles me, when I think of forgiveness, 32:43 is when I think about how 32:46 none of us deserve forgiveness. 32:50 And you hear some people say that, you know, 32:51 "That person doesn't deserve forgiveness, 32:53 so I'm not forgiving them." 32:55 But yet you and I don't deserve forgiveness 32:58 because we nailed the Son of God 33:00 to a cross with our sins. 33:03 And I certainly don't deserve forgiveness 33:07 for what I have done to Him. 33:10 But Jesus is the example. 33:13 He rises above all of our sins, 33:16 all of our problems, all of our guilt. 33:18 And He pours out that love. 33:21 And He says, I'm willing to forgive and to forget, 33:25 if you can forgive others, 33:27 for what they have done to you. 33:30 I mentioned earlier, 33:31 maybe you're having a tough time 33:33 forgiving yourself for something 33:34 that you've done in the past, 33:37 replace it in the hands of Jesus. 33:39 That's why this prayer exists. 33:41 That's why Jesus prayed this prayer. 33:43 It's a model prayer 33:45 that we can trust in the fact 33:46 that if we call out to God and say, 33:48 "Lord, forgive us." 33:51 I think of publican beating His chest. 33:56 Lord, forgive me a sinner, right? 34:00 I think of the father running to that prodigal son, 34:05 he didn't deserve forgiveness, right? 34:07 He was running to that son because he loved him. 34:13 And in that father's eyes, he deserved forgiveness 34:16 because of the love he had for him. 34:17 I think of that young woman 34:19 laying on the ground at the feet of Jesus, 34:21 people picking up stones 34:23 about to give her what she deserved. 34:27 Jesus wasn't going to have that. 34:29 Jesus said, 34:31 "Where are those who condemn you?" 34:33 They're not there. 34:35 "Neither do I condemn you. 34:37 Go and sin no more." 34:39 That's the gospel, 34:40 the very heart of the loving heart of God 34:44 and bursts with forgiveness. 34:47 And so, I want to pray right now. 34:50 I want to pray for those at home 34:52 that are struggling with this. 34:54 Pray for those 34:55 that may be struggling forgiving themselves 34:58 or dealing with the very concept 35:00 of forgiveness in general. 35:02 God can soften your heart when you can bring answers. 35:05 Let's pray. 35:11 Our Father in heaven, 35:15 Lord, You're so mighty and You're so wonderful. 35:22 And there's not a single soul on this planet 35:25 that can deny Your goodness. 35:32 Lord, You showed us how to forgive. 35:37 But the reality is, there's some people here 35:40 that may be watching this program, 35:43 that may just be trying to muster up 35:45 all the strength they can to get on their knees 35:49 and even utter a prayer to You at this moment 35:53 that are struggling with forgiveness. 35:57 And, Lord, we know how important that is to You. 36:01 We know that it's a life or death situation 36:06 that You want to see all of Your people saved. 36:12 And we have to learn to forgive. 36:16 So, Lord, I pray for that person right now 36:18 who may be experiencing the pain, 36:22 the heartache, 36:24 may be going through trials and tribulations. 36:28 And whatever wall 36:30 that has been built in their life 36:31 that's preventing them 36:34 from to forgive. 36:37 Lord, You're master at dealing with those walls. 36:43 With Your love, Lord, anyone can forgive, 36:47 even the hardest most difficult scenarios. 36:51 And, Lord, there may be someone right now 36:53 who is struggling to forgive themselves 36:55 for whatever they have done, 36:57 whatever they have participated in, 36:59 or whatever has occurred in their life. 37:01 Father, we pray right now in Jesus' name for that person. 37:05 Because some people cannot even begin to grasp pure love, 37:09 the love of the cross, love of the Son of God. 37:14 But they can't stop for a moment and realize 37:16 that Jesus also died 37:18 for whatever sins 37:20 that may have occurred in their life 37:21 that's preventing them from forgiving themselves. 37:26 Lord, do Your mighty work 37:29 in the hearts and minds of all of us. 37:33 Give us godly mercy, 37:35 a godly meekness, 37:38 a spirit of humility, 37:41 to be like Jesus, 37:44 and to forgive others, their debts 37:49 so that You can forgive our debts. 37:53 We placed this situation in Your hands, Lord. 37:57 And we ask this in confidence 37:58 and in the name of Jesus Christ. 38:00 Amen. 38:03 Thank you, Ryan. 38:06 We come to the last line in the prayer that says, 38:10 "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, " 38:13 or from the evil one. 38:16 And I know a lot of people have, 38:20 they're opposed to the idea 38:22 that a loving God would have a devil in the world, 38:28 and it just doesn't make sense. 38:33 But Ephesians 6:12 says, 38:37 "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood." 38:39 In other words, 38:41 we don't wrestle against each other, 38:42 but against principalities, against powers, 38:45 against the rulers of the darkness of this age, 38:48 against spiritual hosts of wickedness 38:50 in the heavenly places. 38:52 And we are also told in the Bible that 38:55 Satan roams like a lion 38:58 seeking whom He may devour. 39:04 And I have a coworker that we often say, though, 39:11 even though we know that Satan is real, 39:15 and evil is a real force. 39:19 Sometimes we are... 39:22 It's like, Satan sometimes it's no big deal. 39:25 It's us that we have the trouble with. 39:27 We know our tendencies. 39:30 We know our own way. 39:36 Sometimes I feel like I'm rotten to the core. 39:40 But we have a Savior, 39:43 whose blood cleanses us from all sin, 39:46 and I am eternally grateful and it is because of Him 39:50 that we can have eternity to be grateful. 39:55 But I was listening to a pastor recently. 39:59 He was preaching on this line. 40:02 And he used a great example of a child, 40:07 in this case, it was a son 40:08 who was raised in a Christian home, 40:11 and he was going the right path. 40:14 And then he made a decision to do something wrong. 40:20 And, in fact, the preacher used a graphic 40:25 that looks like this. 40:27 My drawing isn't exactly symmetrical. 40:29 But anyway, 40:31 and so he talked about how the child starts walking, 40:34 and he'll walk down, and then he will go down this path 40:40 that would lead to Satan or to wrong, 40:43 and instead of choosing this path, 40:45 which would lead to the right way, God. 40:49 And the son actually said, 40:51 "Oh, Dad, it's really like this." 40:53 And he turned the paper sideways. 40:56 And he said, 40:57 "I'm walking along, doing the right thing. 41:00 And then I get to that fork in the road. 41:04 It's like the pole, it's easier to go downhill. 41:08 And so I just start going down. 41:11 And then, by the time I realize I'm going down, to go up, 41:16 I would have to go back up here and climb up here." 41:20 All that to say, we know that force of gravity is strong, 41:24 and it's really strong in time of temptations. 41:29 I don't know of anyone, no matter how pious, 41:32 no matter how well Bible studied they are, 41:38 who isn't tempted. 41:40 Because the Bible says even our Savior was tempted. 41:44 It says that He succeeded in not giving into it. 41:47 But I'm grateful that 41:51 you and I have a Savior, again, 41:54 who loves us 41:56 and He will forgive us of our sin. 42:02 And so I just want to pray for those of you 42:04 who think maybe you have gone so far, 42:07 that God can't forgive you. 42:11 You can't go that far. 42:13 I really believe that. 42:15 Because if you desire His forgiveness, 42:19 that's the key right there. 42:21 So I just want to and naturally, 42:25 I mean, that would be my prayer 42:27 is that I would never be led into temptation, 42:31 and be delivered from evil. 42:35 Because I'd rather be delivered from it, 42:37 than have to go through it. 42:39 And then, definitely have to go through the repercussions 42:41 of having gone through it. 42:44 But I just want to pray for you and for all of us, 42:48 that we, especially in these days, 42:52 that we fight temptation, 42:54 our strength, 42:57 we will rely on the strength of God, 42:59 to fight temptation, 43:01 but to know that He will forgive, 43:04 that He loves you. 43:06 And so let's just pray. 43:07 Father God, 43:09 Lord, You are so wonderful, so faithful, so patient, kind 43:13 and a tender loving God. 43:16 And I want to thank You for the times 43:19 that I have even led myself into temptation. 43:23 Lord, I love the fact that Your Word declares that really, 43:27 there's not a place that 43:34 You give us that way out actually. 43:37 And so many times, God, I regret saying 43:41 that I can analyze it and look back 43:45 after I have even given into a sin. 43:48 I see that place where You were faithful, 43:51 You were like knocking on my window, saying, 43:55 "Why don't you do this instead?" 43:58 Oh, God, I just pray that You will give us the strength 44:02 to resist temptation, to turn from it. 44:07 Because we are promised that 44:09 Satan will flee if we resist it. 44:12 Oh, God, You are good to us so faithful, 44:14 and yet, when we do give in, You don't throw us away. 44:21 You pick up the pieces and You forgive us. 44:25 So, Father God, I just asked that 44:27 You will minister to that heart 44:30 that they'd long 44:33 for a 7th, and the 15th, 44:38 and a 500th chance, 44:43 they think it's that that would be asking too much. 44:47 But, God, I just ask that You will let them know 44:51 that You love us so much. 44:53 You're in this for us to win. 44:57 And so I give You praise for being a God 45:03 who is above temptation yourself 45:05 so that we can be like You. 45:07 I pray that You will lead us not into temptation, 45:09 but deliver us from evil. 45:12 Thank You in Jesus' name. 45:16 So many of you know that there's a song, 45:19 that is the "Lord's Prayer." 45:20 And I think 45:22 it'd be only proper for Ryan to sing that. 45:27 So make this your prayer. 45:36 Our Father 45:48 Which art in heaven 45:57 Hallowed be 46:06 Thy name 46:15 Thy kingdom come 46:23 Thy will be done 46:30 On earth 46:35 As it is in heaven 47:03 Give us this day 47:09 Our daily bread 47:17 And forgive us our debts 47:25 As we forgive our debtors 47:39 And lead us not into temptation 47:46 But deliver us from evil 47:54 For thine is the kingdom 48:02 And the power 48:05 And the glory forever 48:31 Amen. 48:47 Amen. Wonderful. 48:48 So I think it would only be appropriate 48:51 to take that last line, 48:54 "For thine is the kingdom, and the power, 48:56 and the glory forever." 48:59 And let's just each one of us take a moment 49:01 just to thank God that, 49:04 to me that says, 49:05 He's got the whole world in His hand. 49:07 He wraps it up, He wins in the end. 49:09 That's right. 49:10 Who else is worthy to have all of that 49:14 that was written in that beautiful prayer? 49:16 Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. 49:19 You know, as we enter into this New Year, 49:20 we have to keep that in focus. 49:23 We just came out of a quagmire of a fight over power. 49:28 Men rise and fall, but God's kingdom remains, 49:32 for thine is the kingdom 49:34 for power and the glory forever and ever. 49:36 That's the kingdom 49:37 that I want to be a part of. 49:39 Let me rephrase that. 49:40 That's the kingdom I am a part of. 49:41 There you go. 49:43 I've always said to people cast your vote 49:44 in favor of the kingdom that will never come to an end. 49:47 Praise God for that. Amen. 49:49 Angie, you want to just say something 49:51 about being a part of the kingdom? 49:53 And thank God. 49:54 Yes, God is so good. He's so worthy. 49:58 And to be a part of the family of God is a blessing 50:01 'cause He is our God. 50:02 He's our Father, hallowed be His name. 50:05 And I just praise Him. 50:07 He's so good and worthy of praise. 50:09 So to God be the glory great things He has done. 50:14 Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. 50:16 Jill. 50:18 I'm so grateful that God is our Father, 50:21 grateful that He is your Savior, 50:25 grateful that He is our sustainer, and provider, 50:29 and protector, and defender. 50:33 Where would we be without God? 50:35 You know, I often wonder, 50:37 how do you go through life 50:38 and don't have someone to lean on, 50:41 don't have someone to depend on? 50:43 As we start this New Year, 50:47 I just want to rededicate my life to the Lord Jesus 50:53 and praise Him, 50:56 for He is worthy of praise. 51:01 You know, Tim, I'm thinking of those 51:03 that are joining us at home right now. 51:05 And I just want to say we're thankful to you. 51:08 You know, 'cause 3ABN is here, 51:09 of course, because of the Lord Jesus Christ, 51:11 but it's because of you. 51:13 And, you know, you're making a difference. 51:14 We've been hearing this past year 51:16 about essential and nonessential, 51:19 essential, but you're essential, 51:20 you're essential to God. 51:22 And you're making a difference in the world 51:24 from your prayers and financial support 51:26 for the Ministry of 3ABN. 51:28 We get to see the letters, emails, phone calls 51:32 that come in from lives, 51:34 and maybe you're one of those lives 51:35 that have been changed for eternity 51:37 talking about the kingdom of God, Pastor John. 51:39 Wow, what a wonderful day that'll be! 51:41 Many of us will never have the opportunity 51:43 of meeting face to face on this earth. 51:45 But one day soon, Jesus Christ is coming soon. 51:48 And so we're just thankful for you. 51:50 Thank you for being a part of the ministry, 51:52 the family of 3ABN. 51:54 Praise the Lord. Amen. 51:56 Ryan? Amen. 51:58 What does that say? 51:59 Fear God and give glory to Him. 52:04 That's a message that goes to the entire world. 52:06 That's the beginning of the three angels' messages 52:10 that goes to the entire world in the last days, 52:13 the Everlasting Gospel. 52:14 And in part of that Everlasting Gospel 52:16 is declaring Him to be worthy. 52:19 Revelation says that, He is worthy of worship, 52:23 because he has created all things. 52:26 And the Bible says that 52:28 He is the Alpha, He is the Omega. 52:30 He is the beginning, He is the end. 52:32 He is the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. 52:36 And there's not a day that goes by, 52:38 no matter where I am, 52:40 whether I'm at home, 52:43 in my vehicle, coming and going, 52:45 at my desk here at 3ABN, 52:50 or on set like this, 52:52 there's not a moment that goes by 52:54 that I'm not reminded 52:56 to lift up a praise to Him. 52:59 Because none of us would be here doing 53:00 what we're doing, 53:02 3ABN wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Him. 53:04 You know, we talk a lot about Brother Danny's faith, right? 53:07 Praise God for Brother Danny's faith. 53:08 But you know what, more than that, 53:10 praise God for Himself, 53:13 for God who worked through Brother Danny, 53:15 and every single other person that has worked hard 53:19 to put this ministry together so that these messages, 53:22 these three angels' messages, 53:24 the undiluted truth of God's Word 53:26 can go throughout all the world. 53:28 Yeah, amen. He is worthy, Tim. 53:30 Amen. And that's why we're here. 53:33 And so yeah, praise the Lord. 53:36 Amen. Praise the Lord. 53:37 You want to say something, I can see. 53:38 Just one quick thing. 53:40 You're good. I love prophecy. 53:41 We all know about. 53:42 And that's just something we live on. 53:44 But I love it in Daniel when that Lord showed Daniel, 53:46 Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome, 53:49 and then the image 53:51 that was just so glorious in all of its metals. 53:54 But it says, in the days of these kings, 53:57 the God of heaven will set up a kingdom, 54:00 which shall never be destroyed. 54:03 And it shall not be left to other people. 54:06 That's the kingdom. 54:07 Citizens of the United States, 54:09 ladies and gentlemen, 54:11 brothers and sisters of the world, 54:12 that's the kingdom. 54:14 Don't get distracted. 54:15 Don't get caught on the quagmire. 54:17 There's a stone 54:19 that's going to bring all of this kingdom down 54:21 to just nothing but dust, 54:23 in memories that won't even come to our minds. 54:25 Be a part of that kingdom. That's why we exist. 54:27 That's the purpose of 3ABN. 54:29 That's the vision that God gave to Danny. 54:31 That's the vision that God gives to us. 54:33 That's the everlasting kingdom. 54:34 I love it. I love it. 54:36 And so that's a great way to lead into this song, 54:38 "Your Kingdom Shall Reign Over All of the Earth." 54:41 Let's sing it. 54:43 Your kingdom Shall reign over all the earth 54:48 Singing to the ancient of days 54:53 For none can compare To your matchless worth 54:58 Sing to the ancient of days 55:02 Every tongue! 55:03 Every tongue in heaven And earth 55:06 Shall declare your glory 55:08 Every knee shall bow At your throne 55:11 In worship You will be exalted oh God 55:16 And your kingdom Shall not pass away 55:21 Oh ancient of days 55:26 Amen, ancient of days. 55:28 Praise the Lord! 55:31 I love the area that we live in. 55:34 We live in, especially, in the rural country 55:38 where at this time of year, 55:41 it gets dark early 55:44 and I can go out outside at night, 55:49 in the evening time I look up, 55:52 it looks like daytime actually, 55:54 but it's just the moon shining so bright. 55:56 And I am amazed in awe of a God 56:00 that I know as my Father. 56:03 And I know that He created this world. 56:09 And I am just in awe of Him. 56:12 And it reminds me of a song which everything does. 56:14 But this song right here, 56:19 "Then Sings My Soul." 56:20 Sing in the home if you know it. 56:22 Then sings my soul 56:27 My Savior God, to Thee 56:35 How great Thou art 56:41 How great Thou art 56:47 Then sings my soul 56:52 My Savior God, to Thee 57:01 How great Thou art 57:07 How great Thou art 57:19 Our Lord God, 57:21 You have made the heavens and the earth 57:23 by Your great power and outstretched arms. 57:26 And nothing is too hard, 57:29 nothing is too difficult for Him. 57:32 Thank you so much 57:33 for taking time this hour to join us. 57:35 We invite you to come back right this next hour. 57:38 We're going to be praying some more 57:40 and praying for you, 57:42 continuing the spirit of prayer. |
