00:02 Happy Thanksgiving.
00:04 We're so glad that you have joined us today. 00:05 I don't know if you're spending Thanksgiving with family 00:08 or if you're by yourself, 00:10 but I want to say thank you for joining us 00:12 because you're part of our family 00:13 and what a blessing it is 00:15 to be able to spend this special day with you. 00:18 You know, we're here outside, 00:19 I can almost smell the fresh air 00:21 and we're in a studio. 00:22 Picked up a few leaves along the little pathway here, 00:26 and for those of you that are young 00:28 or maybe young at heart, 00:29 they're actually going to be some Canadian geese 00:31 that fly through here. 00:33 So let us know. 00:34 You can reach out to us here at 3ABN. 00:36 Let us know if you see or hear the Canadian geese 00:38 throughout this special Thanksgiving 00:39 two hour special program. 00:41 Absolutely. 00:42 I love Thanksgiving, 00:44 because it's a time where we get to remember 00:45 what God has done throughout this past year. 00:47 That's what we're going to do, 00:48 we're going to have some of our 3ABN family here. 00:50 We're going to open up the Word of God, 00:52 we're going to have testimonies and music 00:54 and we might even get to eat a bit. 00:56 So I think the program needs to start here. 00:58 So let's go, and sit down and get ready. 00:59 Okay, it sounds good. All right. 01:06 I want to spend my life 01:11 Mending broken people 01:16 I want to spend my life 01:22 Removing pain 01:27 Lord, let my words 01:32 Heal a heart that hurts 01:37 I want to spend my life 01:43 Mending broken people 01:48 I want to spend my life 01:54 Mending broken people 02:09 Again, Happy Thanksgiving to each one of you. 02:11 As Jill and I were making it to the set 02:13 I actually saw some apples sitting right here in a basket 02:15 so I might have to get some apples 02:17 partway through this program. 02:18 Do you think that's okay? I think that'd be wonderful. 02:20 At home you eat at least two maybe three apples a day. 02:24 I do like apple about anything. 02:25 So yeah. 02:26 Anyway, what a great time 02:28 to be able to spend Thanksgiving with you. 02:29 You know, you're part of our family 02:30 and we just want to say thank you 02:32 for being our family. 02:33 We want to say thank you 02:34 for your prayers and financial support 02:36 for the ministry, your ministry, 3ABN. 02:38 2020 of course had its challenges 02:40 but God's been good 02:42 and so today this two hour special Thanksgiving program. 02:45 We're going to spend a little bit of time 02:46 with our family here at 3ABN and of course, 02:48 usually when we have our special Thanksgiving program, 02:51 we have a lot of our 3ABN family on the set, 02:53 but because of social distancing 02:55 and COVID-19 02:56 we've done some unique things this year 02:57 to try and make it still happen. 02:59 Maybe just not as many people can be on the set at once. 03:01 I just want to say the set looks amazing. 03:03 It does. 03:04 Our crew, our production team 03:05 I always say is the most gifted creative on the planet. 03:08 Yes. 03:10 They're just amazing and they created this, 03:12 the concept of this, 03:14 and then the construction crew built this set 03:16 and I just feel it puts me in the mood for Thanksgiving, 03:19 and some apple pie and fires behind, 03:23 but we haven't lit it yet, but I kind of wish we could. 03:26 That's just Thanksgiving, 03:28 Thanksgiving is all about family 03:30 and you are part of the 3ABN family. 03:32 That's right. 03:33 And we have the 3ABN family here on the set. 03:35 We sure do. Oh yeah, absolutely. 03:37 And it's always a blessing to spend time with you all. 03:39 Thank you, Mr. Danny, for being here. 03:41 Of course you're the founder of 3ABN. 03:43 Spending another Thanksgiving together 03:44 here with our 3ABN family is always a blessing, isn't it? 03:46 Oh, I love. 03:48 It's a holiday that we as Christians can, 03:51 you know, really celebrate and enjoy. 03:53 We can all of them is like the world does 03:55 but just it's a great one. 03:56 We're thankful to the Lord. 03:58 I'm thankful for our friends, our family, 04:00 thankful for all of our folks that's tuning in here at 3ABN, 04:04 because they are friends and family. 04:05 And we've developed over the years so many, 04:08 it's gonna take an eternity to be able to meet everybody 04:11 after spending time with Jesus 04:13 to meet everybody that we met on earth 04:15 and didn't maybe through the television 04:17 and didn't get to spend time with. 04:18 Yeah. Amen. Yeah. 04:20 Sitting next to you 04:21 is your beautiful wife Yvonne Shelton. 04:23 Dr. Yvonne Shelton, 04:25 founder of Dare to Dream 04:26 and consultant for Dare to Dream. 04:27 So thanks for being here. 04:29 Thank you so much. 04:31 This is one of my favorite times of the year, 04:32 you know, coming up on the whole Thanksgiving, 04:35 Christmas time and holidays 04:37 because it seems as though 04:39 this is where we really focus 04:41 more on things to be thankful for 04:44 and focus on the Lord even more. 04:46 And so it's a really nice time of the year 04:48 and it's so great to be with my 3ABN family. 04:50 Amen. 04:52 Absolutely. So it's really good. 04:53 We have Tim Parton sitting behind the piano. 04:56 So glad to have you here of course, 04:58 General Manager of Praise Him Music Network, 05:01 which is kind of a mouthful. 05:03 We're blessed to have you here, Tim. 05:04 Always a privilege to be included and involved in, 05:08 especially in times of showing and giving thanks to God. 05:11 Perfect. Amen. 05:13 And then last but not least, 05:15 Pastor John Lomacang and his beautiful wife, Angela. 05:19 Pastor John, of course, is our pastor, 05:20 pastor of the Thompsonville Seventh-day Adventist Church 05:22 and 3ABN Director of World Evangelism. 05:25 And then, of course, Angie, you are producer, 05:28 and host and editor for radio, 05:31 would that encompass everything? 05:33 I do a lot of editing. 05:34 It is a pleasure to be here, isn't it, Honey? 05:36 That's right, that's right. To make it another year. 05:38 Yeah, it's a blessing. 05:39 To make it another year is all the reason to be thankful. 05:42 If we thank the Lord for nothing else, 05:44 another year, especially in this climate 05:46 is a tremendous blessing. 05:48 Amen. 05:49 You know, you were talking about, 05:50 you know, this time of year's focusing on being thankful, 05:52 you know, the news, 05:54 unfortunately tends to be very negative, right? 05:55 Bad things are happening, people dying, 05:58 there's a lot of negativity. 05:59 But wow, what a time, Thanksgiving time, 06:02 but we should be thankful 06:03 every day of the year, shouldn't we? 06:05 Especially this time of year, we tend to focus in on that. 06:08 And I'm thinking of a chorus, Mr. Danny, 06:10 that I heard you practicing just a little bit 06:11 or I shouldn't say practicing 'cause you don't need practice. 06:14 In other words, I was the one 06:15 that was trying to kind of figure out 06:17 some of how it goes. 06:18 But there's a great song that maybe we should sing now 06:20 as a little chorus in being thankful. 06:21 That's a good idea. 06:23 Why don't we do the song 06:24 Thank You, Lord For Saving My Soul. 06:26 And we want you to sing it with us at home, okay? 06:30 Thank you Lord 06:33 For saving my soul 06:38 Thank you Lord 06:41 For making me whole 06:46 Thank you Lord 06:49 For giving to me 06:53 Thy great salvation 06:57 So full and free 07:00 Now that we've learned that, we should do it again, right? 07:02 Okay. 07:04 Thank you Lord 07:07 For saving my soul 07:11 Thank you Lord 07:14 For making me whole 07:19 Thank you Lord 07:22 For giving to me 07:27 Thy great salvation 07:30 So full and free 07:35 Isn't that amazing when you think about 07:37 the goodness of God. 07:38 Oh, incredible. 07:40 The Bible says, 07:41 "Eye have not seen nor ear heard, 07:43 neither has it entered into the heart of the man 07:44 the things that God has prepared for them." 07:46 So how that God could look down 07:48 and find anything we're saving is beyond me. 07:52 That's why I'm not God, 07:53 I had to give up on all of us a long time ago. 07:55 But knowing the future, He gave His life, 07:59 His atonement for our sin. 08:00 He shed blood on the cross of Calvary, 08:02 made it possible for each of us, 08:04 each of us to have eternal life. 08:06 Praise God for that. 08:08 I am thankful for that, aren't you? 08:09 Amen. 08:11 I am so thankful that 08:14 before the world was formed 08:17 the Lord made a plan of salvation for us. 08:19 He knew it was going to happen 08:21 and He made a plan of salvation for us. 08:23 And as you said, like who are we? 08:25 What is man that thou are mindful of Him 08:28 or the Son of Man that thou visited Him? 08:30 Who are we that You would do that for us? 08:33 And so, at this time of year, 08:37 we should be thankful all the time. 08:39 But this time of year particularly emphasizes that, 08:43 and I think that, you know, 08:45 it's so good to just share how good God has been. 08:49 This year in my life, 08:51 I'm so grateful because there have been, 08:54 you know, I've had so many losses this year. 08:57 Yeah. 08:59 And yet, I know that the Lord is sovereign, 09:04 and that whatever has happened, 09:06 He has allowed for whatever reason, 09:08 and so I'm grateful to Him, 09:09 and this scripture has been so meaningful to me. 09:16 I was having a test done at the Mayo Clinic, 09:19 and it was kind of painful, 09:21 it was a neurology test and it was painful. 09:24 And I started repeating the 23rd Psalm and especially 09:28 "Yea, though I walk through 09:30 the valley of the shadow of death, 09:32 I will fear no evil for thou art with me". 09:35 And I just kept repeating that over and over again, 09:39 and it meant so much. 09:40 And then right before your surgery, Danny, 09:45 this has been a couple of years ago, 09:47 during my devotion, 09:49 the Lord gave me this scripture. 09:50 It's Deuteronomy 31:6. 09:53 "Be strong and courageous. 09:56 Do not fear or be in dread of them, 09:58 for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. 10:02 He will not leave you or forsake you." 10:04 And when I read that, 10:06 I read that in the New King James version, which says, 10:10 "For the Lord, your God goes with you." 10:12 That's right. 10:14 And He is our God. 10:16 And He goes with us wherever we go, 10:18 no matter what we're dealing with. 10:21 We know, we can know that He stands with us, 10:24 and He'll never leave us or forsake us. 10:27 Amen. 10:29 That's beautiful. It's a beautiful text. 10:33 One that means a lot to me this past year, 10:35 I think, especially is Lamentations 3. 10:38 You know, you think about the children of Judah, 10:41 Israel had already, of course, been dispersed as a nation, 10:44 but Judah was like, hanging on. 10:47 And the Prophet Jeremiah spent year after year 10:51 appealing to the people, 10:53 forsake your idols, turn back to God, 10:56 turn back to Me, 10:58 and yet the people turned their back on God again, 11:02 and again, and again. 11:04 And then they were taken into Babylonian captivity. 11:09 And Lamentations is kind of heavy stuff. 11:13 When you read Lamentations, it's kind of heavy. 11:16 Like a funeral for the children of Judah, 11:20 because Jerusalem was taken, 11:24 and they were forced, 11:25 the slaves going over to Babylon. 11:28 And then we get to the middle of Lamentations 11:30 Chapter 3, right in the middle. 11:33 And there's all this discouragement 11:35 and all this despair. 11:36 And then all of a sudden, it says, 11:38 "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, 11:43 because His compassions, they fail not. 11:45 They are new every morning. 11:47 Great is Your faithfulness. 11:51 'The Lord is my portion', 11:52 says my soul, 11:54 'Therefore, I hope in Him.'" 11:57 So no matter what it looks like, 11:58 this year we've had a lot of fear with COVID. 12:01 We've had a lot of unrest in our country. 12:05 And yet God is still on the throne. 12:07 No matter what happens, God is good, God is faithful. 12:13 And every morning, 12:14 we can wake up and know that 12:17 He's going to be faithful to us yet again today, 12:20 He's going to be faithful to you at home. 12:22 I've seen the faithfulness of God 12:24 in this ministry this last year. 12:26 You know, we've heard stories, Mr. Danny, 12:28 for years of praying for finances 12:31 and seeing it come 12:34 but actually walking that journey. 12:35 Yeah. 12:37 And praying and saying, 12:38 "God, I don't know 12:39 where we're going to get paid this week, 12:41 and we have all these people. 12:42 What are we gonna do?" 12:44 And then all of a sudden, a check comes in. 12:47 And you see yet again, the faithfulness of God. 12:51 It's amazing. I'm so thankful for that. 12:53 You know, I also see the faithfulness of you. 12:56 That's right. 12:57 I think about my sister and myself years ago, 12:59 you know, we're planting the watermelon 13:01 and strawberries and sending in $25. 13:04 I know many of you, 13:05 you may not be planting watermelon or strawberries, 13:07 but we know that you're sacrificing 13:09 to support 3ABN, 13:11 but what is 3ABN about? 13:12 It's about proclaiming the undiluted three angels' 13:15 messages of Revelation Chapter 14 13:17 around the world. 13:18 And I have to tell you, what's so incredible, 13:20 and we're thankful for this is that we receive your emails, 13:23 your letters that come in saying 13:25 "My life has been changed because of 3ABN." 13:28 Well, it's nothing that we've done. 13:30 Danny's been a vessel for 36 plus years now 13:33 that 3ABN's been in existence, 13:35 to flow through to other people 13:36 as God's flowing through the Ministry of 3ABN 13:38 and we're so blessed to hear 13:40 how your life has been changed for the better 13:43 and how you've formed 13:44 a relationship with Jesus Christ. 13:46 I don't know how your Thanksgiving is today, 13:48 maybe totally different because of COVID. 13:50 You're used to having a big family around your table, 13:52 but you can't this year, 13:53 or maybe you are getting together 13:55 but someone has passed. 13:56 I'm thinking, Dr. Yvonne, 13:58 you've lost a family member to COVID-19. 14:00 And I know that's being repeated around the world. 14:03 So, you know, there's that loss. 14:04 I'm thinking about here at 3ABN 14:07 Mollie Steenson lost her battle with cancer. 14:10 You know, that's a family member 14:11 here at 3ABN, 14:12 she passed away. 14:14 But we look forward to Christ's soon return. 14:15 So I want to just give you 14:17 encouragement and hope today, 14:18 that nothing can separate you from Jesus Christ 14:20 and I love Romans 8:35, 14:24 and it says, 14:25 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? 14:28 Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, 14:31 or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 14:34 Nay, in all these things 14:36 we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us." 14:39 Verse 38, 14:40 "For I am persuaded that neither death, 14:43 nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, 14:46 nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 14:49 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, 14:52 shall be able to separate us from," what? 14:55 "The love of God, which is in Christ Jesus." 14:58 So I just praise the Lord for Him. 15:00 Amen. 15:01 Angie, what are you thanking for, 15:02 what's your scripture? 15:04 Okay, my scripture, I have a couple of them 15:05 but the one I want to share is, 15:07 in 1 Thessalonians 5 verses... 15:12 Where is it, Hun? 15:13 18, "In everything give thanks, 15:16 for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 15:19 Amen. 15:21 And also Romans 8:28, 15:22 "All things work together for good." 15:24 We all know that one. 15:25 And this year has been a challenging year 15:27 for me health wise, 15:29 I've been in the hospital two times, and it really was, 15:33 I'm not a person that gets sick, 15:37 I'm usually pretty healthy. 15:39 And thank God it was just a visit, 15:42 hospital visit, a short stay. 15:44 And it made me a little nervous 15:47 but I had such a peace about me. 15:49 My sister called me, 15:50 my sister Lizy called me in the hospital. 15:53 And she was all praying for me. 15:54 She says, 15:56 "Angie, you had such a peace about you." 15:58 And she said, 16:00 "I thought you'd have been like nervous and everything." 16:03 I said, "I was fine." 16:04 I said, "I know God got me." 16:06 I was okay. 16:08 And I knew everything would be okay. 16:10 And I just praise God for my health, 16:13 for what He's taken me through, us, 16:16 'cause we're in it together, aren't we? 16:17 That's right. Yeah. 16:19 And He's so good to us. 16:20 And I praise Him every day. 16:22 I praise Him for my 3ABN family, 16:25 which I love very much. 16:27 My church family, of course, my husband. 16:29 Well, for 37 years we've been together, 16:33 been through a lot together, 16:34 but I just praise God 16:35 for all that He has done for me. 16:38 Honey. Love you, Honey. 16:39 Love you too. 16:41 I was asked to do a little... 16:43 Should I do the shorter devotion right now? 16:44 Sure, and then we go to Tim next after you. 16:46 Sure. Sure. 16:47 Tim, why don't we just... 16:48 Okay, yeah, Tim, tell us what you're thankful for? 16:50 Maybe a scripture that's on your mind? 16:51 Yep. All right. 16:53 Psalm 103 is where I go, 16:55 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, 16:56 and forget not all His benefits." 16:59 And then I like also Psalm 13:6, 17:01 "I will sing to the Lord, 17:03 because He has dealt bountifully with me." 17:06 Which just means He'd been good. 17:08 And so I might as well just sing it. 17:12 O, bless the Lord. 17:15 O, my soul 17:17 And all that is within me 17:21 Bless His holy name 17:25 If you know it at home, sing. 17:27 Bless the Lord. 17:29 O, my soul 17:31 And all that is within me 17:35 Bless His holy name 17:40 He has done good things. 17:42 He has done great things 17:47 He has done great things 17:52 He has done great things 17:55 Bless His holy name 18:02 Amen. Praise the Lord. 18:04 Thank you, Brother Tim. 18:05 Pastor John. 18:07 There's a story in the Book of Luke 17, 18:09 I've talked about this. 18:10 I look through my notes 18:11 and I think the last time 18:13 I visited this particular story was in 2006. 18:16 And it's about the 10 lepers. 18:20 You know, you have a story from verse 11 down to verse 18. 18:23 I'm gonna read through those verses very quickly, 18:25 and then summarize what the Lord showed me. 18:28 Luke 17:11, 18:31 "Now what happened as He went to Jerusalem 18:33 that He passed 18:35 through the midst of Samaria and Galilee." 18:37 When I read that, "Now it happened," 18:39 I thought to myself, 18:41 nothing just happens with Jesus. 18:43 And He doesn't just show up in our lives, 18:44 because something, you know, 18:45 it happened that I'm in the neighborhood. 18:48 Jesus always has a mission. 18:50 And what's so beautiful about that, 18:51 Danny has said this before. 18:54 He looks into the small, 18:57 into the places of the men 18:59 that are often unnoticed by society. 19:02 And the stories in the Bible are continual unfoldings 19:06 of how God pays attention to those who society forgets. 19:11 And how low can you get 19:13 in the society of the days of Jesus 19:15 than being a leper? 19:16 Who wants to be around a leper? 19:18 You couldn't go to church? 19:20 If you did, you stayed on the outside. 19:21 If you enter town, you have to yell, 19:23 "Unclean, unclean." 19:25 You couldn't be invited to parties, 19:26 surely not a Thanksgiving dinner. 19:28 You couldn't even feel your extremities. 19:31 But Jesus decided 19:33 there's a town I need to visit 19:34 because there are 10 people there that need My help. 19:36 It says, 19:37 "Then He entered a certain village, 19:39 and there met Him 10 men 19:42 who were lepers, 19:43 who stood afar off," 19:45 which is not unusual. 19:47 "And they lifted up their voices and said, 19:50 'Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.'" 19:55 This has been a year 19:56 that people have been asking for mercy. 19:58 Mercy for loved ones 20:00 that they have seen slip away 20:02 without any indication 20:05 that 2020 would be the last year 20:06 for their loved ones. 20:08 Whether COVID or other diseases, 20:10 we've done funerals this year. 20:12 Yeah. 20:13 Not too long ago, we were in New York 20:14 to memorialize someone. 20:16 And the list goes on and on 20:17 when we just look at the statistics 20:19 and our, Yvonne, 20:20 we had another church member that over the last two years 20:22 lost 10 family members. 20:24 And it's just been devastating. 20:27 And, you know, 20:28 Larry has been part of the church 20:29 and ministry for so long. 20:31 But it says as Jesus went there, 20:33 there were those saying, 20:35 "Master, have mercy on us." 20:37 And so when He saw them, 20:38 the Bible says, 20:39 "He said to them, 'Go, show yourself to the priests.'" 20:41 Knowing that according to the Levitical law, 20:44 they had to be declared clean by the priests. 20:47 "And so it was as they went, they were cleansed." 20:50 Very powerful point. 20:51 Sometimes people want to be cleaned before they go. 20:54 You got to keep going, 20:55 and the Lord will clean you up along the way. 20:57 Don't wait to be cleaned before you go. 21:00 As Danny, but the blessing is on... 21:01 They go. That's right. 21:03 One day when He said, 21:04 "Go, show yourself to the priest." 21:05 And as they went, they were cleansed. 21:08 "And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, 21:10 returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, 21:14 and fell down on his face at His feet, 21:17 giving Him thanks." 21:19 And the Bible says, "And he was a Samaritan." 21:21 Jill, Bible student, 21:23 as you are, you know, that means a whole lot. 21:25 That means he wasn't in the crowd of the accepted. 21:29 He was the outcast 21:30 but he's the one that came back, 21:32 all those that were in the society of the accepted 21:34 didn't come back, 21:35 they assimilated back into their friendship circles. 21:38 They were excited about people saying, 21:39 "It's been a long time since I shook your hand. 21:41 Matter of fact, I never shook your hand 21:42 over the last 10 years 'cause you have leprosy. 21:44 Can I shake your hand?" 21:45 They were at the dinner tables, 21:47 but one of them that were outcasts came back, 21:50 fell at His feet and glorified the Lord. 21:52 And the story brought a lot of significance to me. 21:55 I'll leave the last two verses for the last part of the same. 21:57 But, you know, if you want relief 21:59 from your circumstances, 22:01 don't try to find relief from those 22:03 who are in the same predicament you're in. 22:05 The lepers couldn't help the lepers. 22:07 You know, as close as we are as family 22:10 we could help each other in the temporal things of life 22:12 but when it comes to the eternal things, 22:14 there's only one 22:15 that could answer the eternal questions. 22:18 So when God does something for your life 22:20 on an eternal plane 22:21 and, you know, you're at the place, 22:23 I like the fact that it talks about leprosy 22:25 because when you get to the point in your life 22:26 where it looks like no one else has a remedy, 22:30 Jesus says, "I have the cure." 22:34 And he came back. 22:35 And sometimes the problem is, we're high on expectation, 22:38 and low on appreciation. 22:40 And I pray that this Thanksgiving season, 22:42 it's okay to be high in expectation, 22:44 but don't be low on appreciation. 22:45 Okay. That's good. 22:46 Remember who the one that gives all the good gifts, 22:49 because Luke17:17-18. 22:51 Jesus said, Tim, 22:54 "Were there not 10 who were cleansed? 22:56 Yeah. 22:57 But where are the nine? 22:59 Were there not any found 23:01 who returned to give glory to God 23:04 except this foreigner?" 23:06 Now that's amazing, 23:08 because we're part of the family of God. 23:10 We have to remember that even as those 23:12 who are experiencing God's blessings 23:13 here at 3ABN all year long, 23:15 don't say, 23:17 "Well, it's God's ministry, He's going to keep it going." 23:20 In the great times, and little times, let's pause. 23:23 And let's not be foreigners, 23:25 when it comes to giving God glory. 23:28 Why? What is faith all about? 23:29 What is Thanksgiving? 23:30 A couple of things that I end with, 23:32 it's better to have... 23:34 It's better to appreciate the things you have 23:37 than to have things you don't appreciate. 23:40 So what do you have right now? 23:42 Are you by yourself? 23:44 Appreciate the fact that 23:46 you are at least alive to tune in. 23:49 And we pray that we could be encouraging to you. 23:51 The text that I want to end with 23:53 is in 1 Chronicles 16:34, 23:56 "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is..." 24:00 "Good." 24:01 His mercy. I like that. 24:03 Thank you, say it again, Danny. 24:05 Great. He's way beyond good. 24:06 When I say good in reference to God that means great, why? 24:10 "For His mercy endures forever." 24:12 And remember this, 24:14 it's not what's on your plate or in your pocket 24:17 that's going to give you a thankful heart, 24:20 but it's what's in your heart 24:21 that's going to make the difference. 24:23 So just put it in the heart. 24:24 My wife and I, we were brave to get on airplanes this year. 24:28 And some of them, 24:29 we were sitting right next to strangers, 24:31 I said, "Lord, protect us." 24:32 And He's been gracious. 24:33 So in this Thanksgiving season, 24:36 give thanks with a grateful heart. 24:37 Don't be a foreigner, 24:38 don't be high on expectation and low on appreciation. 24:41 Always give God the glory in what He does. 24:44 Mr. Danny. 24:45 Thank you, Pastor John, very much. 24:47 Mr. Danny, what's on your heart right now? 24:49 Well, I was sitting here thinking, 24:51 you know, Thanksgiving is a great time for me 24:55 to look back because 24:57 November 15th, really 1984, 25:01 I was a young man, I was 33 years old. 25:03 And I had this impression to build a television station 25:06 to reach the world. 25:07 So it's way over half of my life now. 25:09 Wow. 25:11 Not, way over, but a few years over. 25:12 It's that's much better, maybe feel younger 25:14 and I'll say way over but over half of my life, 25:17 you know, it's been 3ABN. 25:19 So I think about what God has... 25:21 where He's brought us from. 25:23 And so, Tim, if you'll give me a key, 25:26 I'll sing it rather than... 25:28 You all help me. Okay. 25:29 Rather than just talk about it. 25:31 You've been good to me 25:34 Through all the years 25:38 You've been good to me 25:41 Through joys and tears 25:45 I want to thank You, Lord 25:49 Oh, for all You've done 25:53 You've been good to me 25:57 Yes, He has 25:59 Through all the years 26:01 Has He'd been good to you? 26:03 Why don't you all sing it with me? 26:05 We'll do it again. 26:06 You've been good to me 26:10 Through all the years 26:14 You've been good to me 26:18 Through joys and tears 26:22 I want to thank You, Lord 26:26 Oh, for all You've done 26:30 You've been good to me 26:34 Through all the years 26:38 You've been good to me 26:43 Through all the years 26:49 You've been good to me 26:56 Through all the years 27:01 Thank you, Jesus. 27:03 There's just no words really. No words. 27:07 Lord gave me that, 27:08 I couldn't even write that song, 27:10 the Lord gave me that. 27:11 I didn't know how to speak it. 27:12 So the Lord knows our hearts. 27:14 He looks beyond what we say. 27:15 He knows our hearts. Thank you, Lord. 27:17 Thank you. 27:18 3ABN is an incredible ministry. 27:20 Thank you, Greg and Jill. 27:21 What you're doing, 27:23 you've been called as surely as I have been 27:24 and others through this, 27:26 God could look down the stream of time 27:28 and see you all 27:29 and see that you would be here 27:30 in the closing moments of earth's history 27:32 taken the reigns of this ministry, 27:34 and we're all here to support you. 27:36 And thank you, Yvonne. 27:37 Of course too, for what you do. 27:39 And, John and Angie, Tim, all of you. 27:41 What an incredible journey we're able to go on with you. 27:45 Amen. 27:46 What an incredible privilege it is, 27:48 you know, to be part of the Ministry of 3ABN 27:50 and to have you joining with us. 27:52 Maybe a little bit emotional there, Mr. Danny, 27:54 you know, God's been good, 27:55 you know, through everything that we've been through, 27:57 God's been good. 27:58 Whatever you've been going through this year, 28:00 God's been good. 28:01 And I think, Mr. Danny, going back, 28:03 I think and, pastor, what you were saying 28:04 to even, you know, 28:05 what someone has in their hands, 28:07 what do they have? 28:08 I'm thinking about Fonda Summers. 28:09 Yeah. What did she tell me? 28:11 She heard you at a prayer meeting, 28:12 I believe it was and she had two acres of land 28:13 and she donated that 28:15 and that two acres of land had... 28:16 There was no interference 28:18 with the signal going up in space. 28:19 So yeah, God's been very good. 28:20 We're playing some musical chairs here today. 28:22 Aren't we, Sweetie? 28:24 As far as our family coming and going 28:25 because of social distancing? 28:26 We are. 28:28 We can't fit everybody on the set all together at once. 28:29 So we're gonna trade out Pastor John and Angie. 28:30 Thank you so much for being with us. 28:32 Thank you both. 28:33 I appreciate and love both of you. 28:34 And Tim will be here part of the time 28:37 and then come back later too. 28:38 Okay. 28:39 And Danny and Yvonne get to stay, 28:41 but we're going to trade out with the Bergman's here. 28:42 But right now, we have some of our 3ABN employees 28:45 who put together a special Thanksgiving greeting for you. 28:49 So what we want to do is go to that right now. 28:52 Psalms 100 says, 28:54 "Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands. 28:59 Serve the Lord with gladness. 29:01 Come before His presence with singing. 29:04 Know that the Lord, He is God. 29:07 It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves. 29:11 We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. 29:15 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, 29:18 and into His courts with praise. 29:20 Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 29:24 For the Lord is good. 29:26 His mercy is everlasting. 29:28 And His truth endures to all generations." 29:32 Thank you for calling into the Call Center. 29:34 We're so happy to hear from you every day. 29:37 And we just thank you 29:39 for your continued support of this ministry. 29:42 From the 3ABN Call Center to your family. 29:45 Happy holidays! 29:49 Happy Thanksgiving! 29:51 We just wanted to wish you and all of your kids camp 29:54 cheerful chipper champ campers at home 29:57 a very Happy Thanksgiving. 29:59 All of their what at home? 30:01 Kids camp cheerful chipper chimp campers. 30:04 Come on, Tiara. 30:06 Okay. 30:07 Anyway, we hope that you all take some time 30:09 this season to look back with a grateful heart 30:11 at all the things God has done for you 30:13 in your life this year. 30:14 Yeah, I'm grateful for my friends like you 30:17 and all of our kids' camp friends at home. 30:20 Thanks. 30:22 You know that this time of the year 30:23 is also perfect for you to go out 30:25 and help others around your community. 30:28 Share the blessings God has given you this year 30:30 and remember to have a... 30:32 Happy Thanksgiving! 30:35 Yeah! 30:36 Okay, Jewlee, 30:37 you realize you're gonna 30:39 have to clean all this up, right? 30:40 Me? 30:41 Whoa, didn't you just talk about 30:43 how this season was about helping people? 30:48 We're God's little people 30:52 We've got a light And we're gonna let it shine 30:55 Shine shine 30:57 We're God's little people 31:01 But God's little people are God's big people sometimes 31:07 All right. 31:08 Love it. Love it too. 31:09 Who wrote it? Yeah. 31:11 Dave Lehman I think who wrote that maybe. 31:12 Great song. Amen. I love that song. 31:14 That's part of Kids Camp. 31:15 It reminds me, we just came from Tiara and Jewlee 31:17 and that employee roll with them. 31:19 They did a great job as part of our Kids Camp. 31:21 And speaking of Kids Camp, 31:23 we have our 3ABN Kids Network General Manager with us, 31:27 Aunt Francine, 31:28 and her husband, Jason Bergmann, 31:30 who is our CFO here at 3ABN, and your daughter, Amanda. 31:34 And how old are you, Amanda? 31:35 Eleven. Eleven. 31:37 Growing up. Nice. 31:40 And what are you thankful for, Amanda, 31:41 here at this Thanksgiving season? 31:42 You got something that you're thankful for? 31:44 I'm putting you on the spot. What are you thankful for? 31:46 The 3ABN family. 31:47 For the 3ABN family, that's precious. 31:50 We have to say we're thankful for you, too, 31:52 because you guys are part of our family. 31:54 That's right. Absolutely. 31:55 We're so thankful God brought all of you here to 3ABN. 31:58 And, Aunt Francine, why don't you tell us... 32:01 We have a little craft going on here. 32:02 I see like a turkey or something. 32:04 We did. You wanna help out, Amanda? 32:06 Tell us about that. 32:07 I asked Amanda to help out and so 32:09 we have a little turkey for Thanksgiving. 32:13 What does the turkey say? Gobble, gobble. 32:15 Gobble, gobble, gobble. 32:17 You need to come up with a name for it 32:18 when we're done. 32:20 But you can find all of this at our 3ABNkids.tv website, 32:24 you can find the program. 32:26 So I'd like to encourage you 32:27 and Amanda is just going to participate. 32:29 While we're talking, she's gonna... 32:32 We're gonna make a turkey? 32:33 She is going to help make the turkey! 32:35 Are you ready? Okay. 32:36 Now you have to be careful, 32:38 because if you're using hot glue gun, 32:39 you know, you need to be careful with that. 32:41 So we're here just in case. 32:44 But she's pretty motivated to go ahead 32:46 and then build her turkey 32:48 and I'm trying to find a little backing. 32:50 But if I can't find it just yet, 32:51 go ahead and start glueing. 32:53 So you're saying this craft is on the website 32:55 and for all of our 3ABN family at home, 32:57 they can go right now and they can make this craft. 33:00 They can make it. 33:02 And I'd like to you not too late. 33:03 Yvonne can make this when we go home. 33:04 Absolutely. 33:06 Now I have to say that 33:07 this takes a little time 33:09 to actually sew some of them 33:11 because there's some actually sewing to do. 33:14 And so this could be a good family activity 33:16 for a Thanksgiving craft, let me tell you so. 33:19 She's going to help glue it 33:21 and she's going to put some eyes 33:23 we've got here. 33:25 So, Amanda, you can go right at it 33:27 and you can start putting them 33:28 and you know how to glue it, carefully right? 33:31 And so a lot of these crafts are right on our 3ABN 33:35 and with that we also have some Sabbath School program. 33:37 So this is something 33:39 that we've been doing for the last year 33:42 and especially during the COVID situation. 33:44 So again, there are some crossword puzzles on the back. 33:48 And if you haven't done this, 33:50 please let everybody know there's some questions here. 33:52 So we're hoping that you're diving into the Bible. 33:55 So this is just another outreach 33:57 that we've decided that would be helpful. 33:59 But I like this one, 34:01 Amanda loves this one 34:02 with a little frog at the little bank. 34:03 So again a lot of crafts on the website. 34:06 I love that. 34:08 So every week you release a new craft 34:09 and there's a new Bible study guide 34:11 that people can download and do it at home as families? 34:14 Correct. 34:16 And that's what I'd like to do 34:17 is encourage it to be a family activity. 34:19 So this is important and hopefully different ages 34:22 not just a particular age. 34:23 Yeah, absolutely. 34:25 For those young at heart maybe too... 34:26 May I hold this turkey? 34:27 May I get up and actually hold this turkey here? 34:30 Okay. Yeah, all right. Wow, this is pretty fancy. 34:33 I've never seen something like this. 34:34 Dr. Yvonne, do you think I should go home 34:35 and make this little turkey? 34:37 You know what, Greg, 34:38 I think you would do a much better job 34:39 than all of us. 34:41 I don't know about that, 34:42 but I just know he can make anything. 34:44 Oh, absolutely. 34:46 Well, you know, I'm not really sure 34:47 but I see it's got a little thing here, 34:48 Aunt Francine, that you can hang. 34:50 So this is meant for hang on a door 34:51 or in the kitchen or... 34:53 That's so cute. 34:54 And you can even give it away. 34:56 So if someone is looking for something 34:58 to do on Thanksgiving Day, 34:59 they can go to the Kids Network website, 35:02 find the instructions 35:03 on how to make this little turkey 35:04 and you're seeing Amanda here putting a little turkey, 35:06 you're glueing some, it looks like 35:07 some of the feathers on here, 35:09 but, Aunt Francine, 35:11 you reached out ahead of time before this program. 35:13 I did. 35:15 And asked some of the young people out there 35:17 to come up with their version of this turkey, is that right? 35:20 I did. 35:21 And we had several of them. 35:23 Submit pictures. 35:24 They did submit some pictures. 35:26 And we'd like to go ahead and show them 35:28 and I know the first ones are Riana. 35:34 Riana and Chacon. 35:35 And Riana is 12 and Chacon is 7, 35:39 and they're from Belize. 35:41 Nice. 35:42 That's the turkey they made, I love it. 35:44 They did. And Elson is age 7. 35:47 And I think they might have done this 35:48 at a Sabbath School setting or something like this, 35:50 I'm not sure, 35:51 somebody must have instigated it. 35:53 And so this is his turkey. And where is he from? 35:56 And he's also from Belize. Okay. 35:57 Yep. From Central America. 35:59 And then we have little Sophia. Now she's a real singer. 36:03 She has a heart for, I mean, for God. 36:07 She is singing in her church consistently. 36:09 Wow, good job, Sophia. 36:10 Where's Sophia from? She's from the Philippines. 36:13 How old is she? Does she give her age? 36:14 She is three years old. 36:17 I'm sure she had a little help with this craft. 36:20 And I think Nea, she's 10, and Naiel is 3. 36:27 And I think they might have worked on that one together. 36:29 Where are they from? And they're also from Belize. 36:32 Okay. Wow. 36:33 And so is Asher, who is 15 and Michal, who is age 11. 36:38 So I think they're brother and sister there too. 36:41 And this is JB, 36:42 and he's from the state of Illinois. 36:46 That's a big turkey. 36:47 He's got a big turkey to put on their door. 36:49 So we're excited about that. 36:51 So, again, we just want to say 36:53 thank you for all of those that participated. 36:55 We have so much to be thankful for 36:57 and so many kids 36:58 that have given their heart to Jesus, 37:00 and text and say 37:02 how they appreciate crafts like this 37:03 and studying the Bible together with their family. 37:06 Amanda, how's it going over there? 37:08 Good. 37:09 It's looking about as good as well, 37:11 better than this turkey. 37:12 I think it's getting there. Almost there. 37:14 Almost there So you're glueing down what? 37:16 The little more... some other feathers. 37:18 Looks like some orange feathers. 37:20 Yeah. Very good. 37:21 I like that. 37:22 Jason, going to you, sir. 37:24 Tell us what you're thankful for this holiday season? 37:25 We want to say thank you 37:27 also for the good job you're doing 37:28 as our CFO here at 3ABN, 37:29 and being part of the administrative team. 37:31 And you guys have become our family as well. 37:34 Well, I work with a great group of people, 37:37 the team that I work with, it's just amazing. 37:39 And it's great working with all of you. 37:41 And it's just a real blessing. What am I thankful for? 37:45 You know, 37:48 I think Francine and I have been married for 25 years. 37:54 So I would say I am grateful for a bride 37:59 that would put up with me for 25 years. 38:03 No, this was a lot of fun. 38:06 So very grateful for my wife, and my family and Amanda, 38:11 who makes it a family. 38:14 That's great. Good. 38:16 Praise the Lord. Yeah. 38:18 What about you, Francine? 38:20 I'm thankful again for the 3ABN family as well 38:23 and our family here, 38:24 but also just how God constantly is working 38:27 in our hearts. 38:30 I see time and time again, where I feel like, 38:33 "Lord, I'm not quite there yet," 38:35 and that you know, where you want to grow, 38:36 but yet He keeps giving you the steps to get to there. 38:40 Isn't that beautiful? 38:41 So I'm just so grateful for that. 38:44 And it just reminds me of Philippians 4:6-7. 38:47 And, you know, 38:48 sometimes I get a little anxious, 38:50 so I get a little hat, 38:52 and I'm just thankful that God has it all in place. 38:58 And He's always there. 39:01 And so I want to rejoice in His Word. 39:03 What is it saying? You want to read it for us? 39:05 Absolutely. 39:06 So again, it's Philippians 4:6-7, 39:09 "Be anxious for nothing, 39:10 but in everything by prayer and supplication, 39:13 with thanksgiving, 39:15 let your requests be made known to God. 39:18 And peace of God, 39:19 which surpasses all understanding, 39:21 will guard your heart and minds through Christ." 39:24 And again, I always want to be thankful. 39:27 It's whatever, sometimes I get anxious, 39:30 but it's in that peripheral of thankfulness, 39:32 that God can really help us grow. 39:34 Amen. Good. 39:37 What an incredible thing 39:40 our Father is and the Word of God 39:42 to be able to go to the Word of God 39:43 and find promises that we can claim in that time. 39:46 Right now, I'm just thankful for our 3ABN family at home. 39:50 And we asked some of you, 39:52 all of you actually 39:54 who are signed up for our mailing list. 39:55 We said, 39:57 "Hey, why don't you let us know 39:58 what you are thankful for at home?" 40:00 And where are you watching from 40:02 and how long you've been watching 3ABN, 40:04 because you are a part of this family. 40:06 So we all have responses that have poured in, 40:10 and I'm excited about that. 40:11 So do you have something to read? 40:13 Dr. Yvonne. Sure, sure. 40:15 Phyllis says, 40:17 "I'm thankful for a Savior 40:18 that you share with the world through His Word 40:21 for the Sabbath School panel, the music channel. 40:24 God bless all of you watching for 25 plus years in Virginia, 40:28 North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Michigan." 40:32 She's been moving around. 40:34 Thank you, Phyllis. 40:35 And then Marilyn from East Tennessee says, 40:40 "I'm thankful for life itself, 40:42 for the blessings of God and for my Savior. 40:45 God is so good and as He says, 40:47 He will not hold back good from us 40:50 when we trust in Him. 40:51 I'm also thankful for the privilege of prayer 40:53 and for God's Holy Word. 40:55 I'm from East Tennessee 40:57 and I've been watching 3ABN since 2003." 41:00 Wow. Praise God. 41:01 "And I thank God 41:02 for all I have learned from this network." 41:05 Praise the Lord. Praise God. 41:06 You need another one or we're good? 41:08 Please, yeah, read another one. 41:09 Brenda, from Jacksonville, Florida. 41:12 "I'm thankful to God for His Son, Jesus Christ 41:14 coming into this world to save us from our sins. 41:17 I'm also thankful 41:18 for His forgiveness of our sins. 41:20 I'm thankful for our church family, 41:22 and our family and friends. 41:24 Thank you for 3ABN and the programs." 41:27 Amen. Amen. 41:29 Jason, before we get to you, 41:30 Amanda, give us a progress report. 41:31 How is the little turkey coming? 41:33 Good. 41:34 Can you hold it up or the glue hold it? 41:36 Let's do, we've got. 41:37 Look at. It's good. 41:38 Good job. All right. 41:40 You're doing well. Almost there. 41:42 You're almost there. You are. 41:44 Wow. Jason, who would we hear from? 41:45 So June wrote, and she has a list which... 41:51 reading this list 41:52 Francine and I were talking about it 41:54 before the show and we're like, 41:55 "Boy, you know, we came up with a lot of these. 41:58 Number one, 41:59 "Thank you for Jesus." 42:02 And I think we all can attest to what Jesus has done for us 42:05 and how great He is. 42:09 Number two, 42:11 "Immediate family." 42:13 And number three, 42:14 "Extended family." 42:16 And that's a safe one. They're very good. 42:20 "My church family and friends." 42:25 Number five, 42:26 "Service vets and first responders." 42:29 Praise the Lord. 42:31 We need those 42:32 and we praise the Lord for these people. 42:34 Number six, 42:35 "The nature of God 42:37 gives each day through the animals, their animals." 42:44 That was the verse, that's great. 42:46 And seven, 42:48 "God gives me the Bible truth. 42:51 And, you know, that's where 3ABN comes in, 42:55 to share the good news around the world. 42:57 And that's what's amazing about 3ABN, 43:01 and all the viewers that watch and those who give, 43:03 so thank you. 43:05 Absolutely. 43:06 Thank you all so much. 43:07 Can we have one more progress report 43:09 on the turkey 43:10 and then we're gonna trade out again. 43:12 Let's do it right, Amanda. 43:13 Oh, it looks nice. 43:14 Look at that. It's done. 43:16 Look towards the camera. 43:17 Amanda, you would put me to shame. 43:18 There you go. 43:20 Good job. Good job. 43:21 That's great. 43:22 Thank you all for being here. 43:24 Thank you for being part of the 3ABN family. 43:25 Yes. Amen. 43:27 Happy Thanksgiving. 43:28 Right now we're gonna go to some more of the 3ABN family 43:30 who weren't able to be on the set with us now 43:31 and let's take a look at what they had to say. 43:35 We want to say hello to our 3ABN family. 43:37 My name is Brian Dickens, 43:39 and many of you know 43:40 my lovely little wife Celestine. 43:42 We want to give thanks 43:43 for the opportunity that we have had 43:46 and are able to help in God's ministry. 43:49 In Psalms 100:4 the Bible says, 43:54 "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, 43:57 and into His courts with praise. 44:00 Be thankful to Him and bless His name." 44:03 So on behalf of the programming department, 44:06 and the wonderful ladies, Alice, Cynthia and Addy, 44:09 our families want to wish all of you 44:12 and your families 44:13 a healthy and happy Thanksgiving. 44:17 Greetings from your 3ABN Latino family 44:21 on behalf of John Dinzey, 44:23 our general manager for 3ABN Latino, 44:26 we want to take the time and thank you all 44:28 for your prayers 44:30 and all your support throughout these years. 44:33 3ABN Latino is now 16 years 44:36 and we praise the Lord 44:37 that He has provided our every need, 44:41 just as He has promised to provide your every need. 44:44 We're thankful because 44:46 you have seen fit to partner with 3ABN 44:50 to preach the gospel throughout all the world. 44:53 We are happy to be here as the Lord has called us 44:57 to serve Him and we do it with all our heart. 45:00 So we have our video editor Andres, his wife Ana, 45:04 and our future employee, Christopher. 45:07 We have Kuati and we have Jose Del Valle. 45:10 And we want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. 45:14 Hello. I'm Joe O'Brien. 45:17 I worked in our pastoral department here 45:19 for 21 years. 45:20 And next to me is my precious wife, 45:22 Nancy O'Brian. 45:24 She started our school and taught there for 14 years, 45:28 then graduated, 45:29 and became our trust officer 45:31 in our Planned Giving 45:32 and Trust Services Department for seven years. 45:36 And we would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. 45:41 It's always great to hear from our 3ABN family. 45:43 That past segment was pretty fun with Amanda, 45:46 and Aunt Francine and Jason, making a turkey. 45:48 I still have it here. 45:50 And it's got this little loop on it. 45:52 And I see a little nail on this post over here. 45:55 Shall I go hang this as a decoration? 45:56 Oh, you should. Absolutely. 45:58 Should I? Okay. 45:59 But hanging the turkey doesn't sound too good, 46:00 does it? 46:02 This kind of hanging is okay. 46:04 I'll let you introduce who else we have on the set. 46:06 Okay, good. 46:07 This is hanging and the turkey music going on. 46:09 There you go. Yeah. There you go. 46:13 Oh, that's cute. 46:14 Thank you, Amanda. I like it. 46:16 Very nice. 46:18 Seeing it matches the little flower. 46:19 What is that? 46:21 It does, the leaves and the mulchs in. 46:22 Yes, good job. It matches that. 46:24 That's great. 46:25 And again, we have to say thank you to the crew 46:26 that built this set, you know, that we can actually interact 46:28 and do things like this on the set, Mr.. Danny. 46:29 It's quite an impressive set. Incredible. 46:31 They're amazing. Yeah. 46:33 And we want to remind those at home too, I'm sorry. 46:35 I've seen the Canadian geese. 46:37 I've heard them honking a few times 46:38 and I saw them fly by. 46:40 At the beginning of this program 46:41 we mentioned count 46:42 how many times you see the Canadian geese go through 46:44 and I just saw them go through not long ago. 46:45 So keep those checkmarks and let us know 46:47 how many times you saw the Canadian geese. 46:48 Send us an email at mail@3abn.org 46:52 and we'll send a prize. 46:54 Okay, let's do that. Shall we send a prize? 46:55 Yeah, well, we... Yes, I guess, we will. 46:56 To whoever, I would say... 46:58 There go the geese. 46:59 So we better go to watch out geese. 47:01 Look at the geese, so that's when you have to look at them. 47:03 Watch for the geese. 47:04 You know where... 47:06 I think they're going that direction. 47:07 Are they going north? 47:09 Because they just saw you hang that turkey. 47:10 And they're afraid they may be next. 47:11 Oh, no. 47:13 We may not see them again actually. 47:14 We might not. 47:15 We're just having a great family time here together. 47:17 What a great Thanksgiving 47:18 we're having here as family of 3ABN 47:20 but also with you at home. 47:21 Thank you for joining us 47:23 for this special 3ABN Thanksgiving special program. 47:25 That's right. 47:26 And we've traded out more family. 47:27 We have Dr. Moses Primo, 47:29 who is the Director of Broadcasting 47:32 and Engineering at 3ABN, 47:33 as well as General Manager for 3ABN Francais. 47:36 And your beautiful wife Adjma can't be here today. 47:39 But you have a wonderful family and we're glad you're here. 47:42 Right. Amen. 47:43 Oh, she's a little sick, 47:44 but she's already getting better, so. 47:48 Yeah. Praise the Lord. Pray for her. 47:50 Appreciate your children too. 47:51 Yes, absolutely. 47:54 And sitting next to you is Jason Bradley, 47:56 General Manager of 3ABN's Dare to Dream Network. 47:59 And, Jay, we're just so glad to have you here too. 48:01 All right. It's great to be here. 48:02 You know, Thanksgiving 48:04 is one of my favorite times of the year. 48:05 How's the food? Oh, absolutely 100%. 48:09 So yeah. 48:10 Why didn't you bring us some food? 48:13 You know, that is an excellent question. 48:16 That is an excellent question. 48:17 Maybe because I ate it, but I don't know. 48:20 No, there's some over there, he's got veggie turkey. 48:24 Veggie turkey. 48:26 Now I see some food here 48:28 and we're getting ready to go to a break soon. 48:29 So maybe we'll eat just a little bit 48:30 as we go to break here in just a few more minutes. 48:32 I know you're a visionary, Greg. 48:36 I like your color on your shirt too, 48:37 it's very thanksgivingish. 48:38 Thank you. Thank you. 48:40 But, Jason, tell us what you're thankful for. 48:41 I know a lots going on this year, 48:42 there's been challenges, 48:44 you know, with COVID and other things, 48:45 but a scripture or maybe something 48:47 that you're especially thankful for? 48:48 Absolutely. 48:49 Well, one, I'm thankful for the gift of life. 48:51 You know, as my mother stated earlier, 48:53 there's we've lost so many people. 48:56 I'm 34 years old, I lost somebody in my class, 48:59 my graduating high school class to COVID. 49:03 I've lost my cousin to COVID. 49:05 I've lost a 44 year old friend to heart attack. 49:09 I mean, so many people this year, 49:12 but I'm thankful for the promise 49:13 and the assurance that Jesus is coming back 49:16 and He's coming back to take us home 49:18 and one day He'll wipe away our tears. 49:21 There'll be no more sorrow, no more sickness, 49:23 no more sadness, no more death. 49:25 It's gonna be an incredible time. 49:27 And one of the verses 49:28 that I absolutely love is Jeremiah 29:11, 49:32 and it says, 49:33 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, 49:35 says the Lord, 49:37 thoughts of peace and not of evil, 49:39 to give you a future and a hope." 49:41 You know, there's so many times where we're going through life, 49:44 and we can't see, 49:47 we don't see the future, but God does. 49:50 And thank God that His future and His hope 49:53 is way better than anything that we could ever imagine. 49:56 So I'm thankful that God is still on the throne. 49:59 I'm thankful that He is still reigning supreme. 50:02 And that no matter what we see in the world, 50:06 He's got our best interest at heart. 50:08 You know, and I have to say at this, 50:09 thank you as well. 50:11 And I'm thankful for praying mothers, 50:12 which would be your mother, 50:14 Dr. Yvonne to see you sitting here and leading out, 50:16 and Dare to Dream, and your walk with the Lord. 50:19 Dr. Yvonne, it's something special, isn't it? 50:21 Oh, why do you have to say that, Greg? 50:24 I'm sorry. 50:26 Why do you have to go... 50:28 Oh, my goodness. I apologize. 50:29 I don't mean to make you emotional. 50:31 When I see the growth that my son has had 50:35 since he's been here. 50:37 And I know how I've prayed for his salvation. 50:39 And I know that God is so faithful 50:42 and He not only brought him here, 50:47 so that I could be around him all the time. 50:49 But He brought him here to save him 50:51 and He has brought him into the saving relationship. 50:55 And I'm so grateful, 50:56 because he was headed down a whole other road, 51:00 we know his testimony. 51:02 And God just brought him here. 51:05 And he heard something that you said, 51:08 Jason heard something that you said 51:10 at the day of prayer, 51:11 and I had invited him to come 51:13 and be my assistant at the time. 51:17 And it's so interesting, 51:19 because I couldn't find any assistant anywhere. 51:21 And which, you know, the Lord had a plan. 51:23 He had a plan as per that scripture, 51:26 and He brought Jason here. 51:28 And the growth and what I see that God has done, 51:33 I am so grateful to the Lord for saving my children. 51:37 He is El Hanne'eman, the faithful God. 51:41 Praise the Lord. 51:43 I was gonna give you a Kleenex. 51:44 I thought I had one. 51:46 But all I have is a COVID mask. Is a mask. 51:48 Oh. That's all I have is a mask. 51:49 Thank you, dear. Thank you. 51:51 Yeah, and what a testimony, yeah. 51:52 Thank you. 51:54 Dr. Mo, I know that, you know, you're a parent as well. 51:57 And whether your children 51:58 are in the church or other church, 51:59 I know parents are praying, 52:01 I thank the Lord for my parents 52:02 that have prayed through the years. 52:04 And I know that you pray, 52:05 of course, for your children, as well. 52:06 But tell us something that you're thankful for Dr. Mo, 52:08 and maybe the scripture that's on your mind. 52:10 Yes, there are a lot of scriptures 52:12 that come to mind, 52:13 especially this time of Thanksgiving. 52:17 But instead of saying those, that will take a lot of time, 52:23 there is one specific 52:25 that I was reading 52:26 in John 1:12 that says, 52:31 "But as many as received Him, 52:35 to them gave the power to become the sons of God," 52:40 sons and daughters of God, 52:42 "even to them that believe on His name." 52:47 So I just got really attached to this passage, 52:53 because who am I to be a son of God, 52:57 you know, that is so great. 53:02 I mean, He is the creator of the whole universe, 53:07 and in one way as a responsibility 53:10 to be, you know, son of such a powerful God, 53:14 but His interest in us specifically, 53:20 and that is to me, it's awesome. 53:25 I also remember the passage in Spirit of Prophecy 53:29 that the only thing 53:31 that we're going to take home to heaven is our character. 53:35 And I think how can I develop a character of Son of God, 53:42 that is a awesome opportunity. 53:45 And He is working with each one of us, 53:48 with our children. 53:50 I have four children, and I really am blessed. 53:55 They are all different, all one of kind, 53:58 and it is a blessing to have a family. 54:01 So I am very thankful for the family, 54:04 for health and for being a son of God. 54:08 Amen. Thank you. Dr. Mo. 54:10 What a powerful testimony. I love that. 54:13 Let's go to some of you at home 54:16 and some of the requests and thanksgiving 54:18 that have come in. 54:19 We've been trying to do this throughout the program. 54:21 Thank you so much for sending in 54:22 what you're thankful for. 54:24 And how the Ministry of 3ABN has blessed you, 54:27 how long you've been watching, and where you're from. 54:30 So Dr. Mo, do you have one to read? 54:32 Sure. I have one. It's Karen, she's from Ohio. 54:37 "I am thankful for so many things. 54:41 I am thankful for God for God's love that I will do, 54:46 let me know, let me go. 54:48 I'm thankful for my family and friends and God's Word. 54:54 I have been watching 3ABN since 1993. 54:58 I beat her. 55:01 And you did indeed. 55:03 It's very close. 55:04 Amen. Jay, you have one? 55:06 Yes. This one comes from Ruth. 55:08 And Ruth says, 55:10 "I'm thankful that God is in control 55:13 in these uncertain times. 55:15 I watch from Soap Lake, Washington 55:17 and have been watching for many years 55:19 ever since Moses Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church 55:25 was able to get a repeater on the hill south of town." 55:30 Mel Kimmel, wouldn't that be Mel Kimmel? 55:32 Yes. Okay. 55:34 We still have the antenna on a high pole above the house 55:38 even though now we watch on Roku. 55:40 God continue to bless you." 55:42 Wow. Praise the Lord. 55:44 Amen. That's great. 55:45 I'll let you read mine. 55:46 At my age, Greg, 55:48 I can see an ad on a telephone pole 55:50 100 yards away 55:51 but I can't still read anything unless it's bigger print. 55:56 Well, this is from Judith in McGregor, Minnesota. 55:59 And she says, 56:01 "I'm thankful for God's guidance and direction 56:03 in my decision making, 56:04 for His ever presence and forgiveness of my sins. 56:07 I'm from McGregor, Minnesota. 56:09 I've been a part of and love 3ABN for 11 years. 56:13 Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 56:16 Love and prayers always, Judith." 56:18 Amen. 56:19 That's sweet. That's wonderful. 56:20 Mr. Danny, we got about a minute left. 56:22 Shall we end with a chorus this first hour 56:23 and then we come right in chorus, 56:24 yeah, come tomorrow. 56:26 Thank you Lord for saving my soul, 56:27 maybe they know. 56:29 Okay. 56:30 Thank you Lord 56:33 For saving my soul 56:38 Thank you Lord 56:41 For making me whole Sing it at home now. 56:46 Thank you Lord 56:49 For giving to me 56:54 Thy great salvation 56:57 So full and free 57:02 Amen. 57:04 We're gonna trade our guests here for the next hour. 57:05 Dr. Mo and Jay, 57:07 thank you so much for being here. 57:08 Thank you for being part of the 3ABN family. 57:10 And we thank you for being part of the 3ABN family as well. 57:13 Thank you for writing to us. 57:15 Thank you for letting us know what is going on in your life. 57:18 And we will be right back. 57:19 We have a full second hour, 57:21 lots of music and lots more of the 3ABN family. 57:23 I think I'm going to grab an apple that's over here. |
