But that's okay. 01:52 The Lord's in control, 01:53 it's been a great week here at 3ABN. 01:55 Jill and I went home for lunch this afternoon 01:58 and there are some little, 01:59 there's a bird nest close to our side door there. 02:02 And you know that those little birds, 02:04 they are about to leave the nest. 02:05 They are so packed in there, bless their hearts, 02:08 their heads are hanging out, their wings are hanging out. 02:10 So I think they're getting ready 02:11 to fly the coop, so to speak. 02:12 I think they are. 02:14 But, you know, with everything that's going on in this world, 02:15 you know, with the tragedy, you know, with COVID 02:17 and all the tragedies and things 02:19 that are happening in this world, you know, 02:20 it's a blessing to be able to also look 02:22 and realize that God is in control, 02:26 that as I look at nature and what God is doing, 02:28 there's still beauty in the midst of 02:30 all of this tragedy. 02:31 But we do need to pray for the world, 02:33 for this nation as a home. 02:36 You know, I'm going back to COVID, 02:38 we were talking to someone here just this week, 02:40 and they lost two family members to COVID. 02:44 So, you know, where the pandemic 02:46 may be starting to ease, they're starting to lift 02:47 some of the restrictions here in the State of Illinois. 02:51 And I know different parts of the country and the world, 02:53 but still there's so much pain that just continues on. 02:56 So let's remember to keep those in prayer. 02:59 But we have an exciting evening, 03:00 don't we, tonight? 03:02 We do. 3ABN's all about evangelism. 03:03 That's right. 03:04 Ever since God called Danny 35 years ago 03:06 to begin a television station that would reach the world 03:09 with the undiluted three angels' messages, 03:11 3ABN has been about evangelism. 03:14 And tonight's topic is evangelism updates from 3ABN. 03:19 We could say from your ministry. 03:21 So we're going to hear 03:22 from all of our general managers, 03:24 network managers who are here on site at 3ABN. 03:28 We're going to hear updates, praise reports, 03:31 new programming that's coming out, 03:33 stories from viewers and listeners, and just see 03:36 what God is doing in this ministry. 03:38 We're also going to hear, 03:40 I think, from some people overseas. 03:42 Yeah, that's true. 03:43 And that's what we're going to attempt to do with the Skype. 03:45 We should introduce 03:46 who we have here for this first part. 03:48 We don't have Mr. Danny and Dr. Yvonne 03:50 here with us this evening. 03:51 They were not able to join us. 03:53 But there's such a big part of this family 03:54 and it's fun working with both of them, isn't it? 03:56 It is. 03:57 I love working with them, 03:59 just such wisdom and understanding and insight, 04:02 so we're very blessed by that. 04:04 You know, and I want to say too, 04:05 'cause many of you have been following 04:06 the Jesus Loves Me Challenge that Mr. Danny put forth here. 04:09 Oh, I don't know, month or so ago and wow, 04:11 what an incredible response that has been coming in. 04:14 So we're not going to do that this evening 04:16 'cause more videos have come in from you. 04:18 Thank you for doing that. 04:19 But we're gonna air some hopefully 04:21 by God's grace next week 04:22 when Mr. Danny is here on the set. 04:24 And hopefully you all heard about that challenge for Greg 04:26 and I did too Jesus Loves Me. 04:28 So, hopefully by next Thursday night 04:31 we can have something. 04:32 Is that a challenge? Oh, yes, I think... 04:34 Well, let's introduce with our guests. 04:35 I think I opened a can of worms. 04:37 So, okay, we have Roy Hunt, who is the director of 04:41 3ABN Planned Giving and Trust Services Department, 04:43 and it's just such a joy to have you here tonight. 04:46 It's good to be here. 04:48 You and your wife Earlenne 04:49 have been here how many years at 3ABN? 04:51 It'll be 10 years in July. Wow! 04:55 That's incredible. Doesn't seem possible. 04:56 Yeah. Yeah. 04:57 Seems like 10 years ago I was sitting here 04:59 being introduced for the first time. 05:01 You know what, Roy, I'm going to tell you this, 05:02 you know, you look younger now than when you first came, 05:04 so 3ABN you must enjoy your work. 05:07 Enjoyed tremendously. Yeah. 05:10 You know it's a blessing, 05:12 I know, we enjoy working with the people 05:14 'cause, you know, it's our family right, Roy, 05:15 that's who we're talking to here this evening. 05:17 And you get to meet a lot of the 3ABN family face to face. 05:21 Face to face. 05:22 When we walk in a home, 05:25 they've never met us before except on television. 05:28 They said, "You're just like family coming into our home. 05:31 And that's a compliment for 3ABN and to each one of us. 05:34 Thank you for being on this evening 05:36 because, you know, we're hearing a lot about 05:37 the economic challenges 05:39 that are in this world in the United States, 05:40 you know, what's happening with the money, 05:42 people are concerned about the economy and all that. 05:44 So Roy is going to be giving us 05:45 some very important updates this evening, 05:48 telling us what's going on 05:49 in Planned Giving and Trust Services. 05:51 The Lord is blessing though. And so, it's a big part. 05:53 You're the... 05:55 Yeah, this department of 3ABN is very important to 3ABN. 05:57 Amen. Absolutely. 05:59 And sitting, I would say next to you, 06:01 but we're actually practicing social distancing. 06:03 We are. 06:04 So we're little ways around the island is Jay Christian 06:08 who is the general manager of 3ABN Radio Network. 06:12 And, Jay, it's so good to have you here tonight. 06:15 It's good to be here. Thank you for the invitation. 06:17 You know, as Jill said, listeners, did you notice that? 06:20 Yeah, yes. First said some listeners. 06:22 Yeah. 06:23 'Cause there's also the viewers, 06:25 but then we also have 06:26 our listening audience as well in the family. 06:28 Yeah. Yeah. 06:29 Sometimes we're a little sensitive about that. 06:30 Well, I don't blame you. 06:32 We have listeners, and we always want to 06:33 make sure that they are welcomed. 06:34 That's right. 06:36 And your wife Sveta works in 3ABN Publishing Department 06:38 and she does an incredible job 06:40 with the photography and graphics and design and... 06:44 She does. Yeah. 06:45 You've been here, what, 20-21 years? 06:48 Twenty-one years in August. Few more months from now. 06:51 Yeah. It's longevity. 06:52 Yeah. 06:53 Yeah, what a blessing, you know, 06:55 I think about all the family of networks here 06:56 at 3ABN and how God has expanded that 06:59 through the years and the incredible reach. 07:00 We're going to be talking about some exciting statistics 07:03 that Adam Dean just sent through 07:04 to us this evening. 07:06 It's just amazing how this gospel of the kingdom 07:08 of Jesus Christ is being spread around the world. 07:12 I think, next, let's go 07:13 to the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. 07:15 Let's try this. 07:17 Brother Rodney Reynold 07:18 is a 3ABN representative, 3ABN volunteer. 07:21 He volunteers full time and hold down a job as well. 07:25 But he volunteers for 3ABN 07:26 there in the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. 07:30 We had the privilege, Greg and I, 07:31 and quite a few of the team went there the March 1, 07:34 right before COVID broke. 07:35 We were overseas there and just to see 07:38 what God is doing there through Rodney, 07:41 incredible people passion about the ministry of 3ABN. 07:46 3ABN is on cable. 07:48 And it seems like nine different cable systems 07:51 and they've been on cable for years. 07:52 So everybody there knows the ministry of 3ABN. 07:56 You just walk down the street 07:57 and people say, "Ah, I watch 3ABN." 07:59 They love that. 08:01 So we're so grateful for Rodney and his service. 08:03 When we were there in March, 08:04 there was a certain shipment of books, 08:08 "Ten Commandments Twice Removed" books 08:10 that were in the port waiting to be cleared customs 08:14 and waiting to come into the country. 08:16 And I believe that has taken place. 08:18 And right now these books are being distributed. 08:20 You know, and I want to mention this too, because, you know, 08:22 we're just very grateful for you, 08:23 our supporters and family. 08:25 You know, we're thankful 08:26 to every one of you, our donors. 08:28 But for this project, 08:29 we had a couple of strong supporters, 08:33 a couple of strong donations from a couple of families, 08:35 individuals step forward for this incredible project. 08:38 Tell us the amount 08:40 of Ten Commandments Twice Removed books 08:41 that actually went to Trinidad and Tobago. 08:42 You really put me on the spot. I did. 08:44 But I was hoping Rodney would be on Skype right now. 08:46 I want to say there's 100,000 08:48 Ten Commandments Twice Removed books 08:49 went to Trinidad and Tobago, but it might be 150,000. 08:52 And Rodney can correct me. Rodney, are you there? 08:55 Yes, Jill, I'm here. All right. 08:57 Yay! Good to see you, my brother. 08:59 So how many books did we ship there? 09:03 We shipped in 100,000 09:05 Ten Commandments Twice Removed books 09:08 and they have worked. 09:10 And we are right now these three parent books 09:15 we'll go out and distribute 09:16 into communities of Trinidad and Tobago. 09:19 Wow! So I think... I don't know you have video. 09:22 I don't know if you want to start with a video 09:24 or you want to start with the pictures, 09:26 but it's incredible 09:27 how you're mobilizing people there. 09:29 So what would you like to start with? 09:33 We can run the video and then give a background 09:35 on what's happened 09:37 and I could expand from here as well. 09:38 Okay. 09:39 So we're gonna go do some video now, 09:41 we can start rolling that and then you'll explain 09:42 what we're actually seeing here in Trinidad and Tobago. 09:45 And while we wait for that to come, 09:46 it's just, you know, 09:48 it's incredible to actually see, 09:49 like you said, the mobilization of everyone there in Trinidad. 09:52 We saw some pictures coming in from 09:55 what's taking place there, even during this pandemic 09:58 that's been going on people wearing masks. 10:01 And we have the pictures. Tonight we're going to show. 10:02 Okay. 10:04 But let's see if one of those videos is 10:05 with full audio and I don't know, 10:07 maybe we can go to that video first. 10:08 I think it was a young lady there in Port of Spain 10:12 and this is just when the books 10:13 were clearing customs and being loaded and coming in. 10:15 So let's take a look at that video now. 10:19 Hi, everyone. I'm Julie Meharry Simpson. 10:23 And today we are at the port of 10:25 Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago. 10:28 I am so excited, in fact we are also excited. 10:32 We are anxiously expecting 10:34 the arrival of a trailer with 100,000 books. 10:38 The name of the book is Ten Commandments Twice Removed, 10:42 written by Danny Shelton and Shelley Quinn. 10:44 These books was sent from 3ABN 10:47 and will be distributed all over Trinidad and Tobago 10:51 and will definitely change the lives of many. 10:54 So thank you to 3ABN for these books 10:56 and the trailer will be here soon. 11:01 Amen. 11:02 You know, you can see the excitement, 11:03 can't you and exuberance? 11:05 Yeah. 11:06 'Cause that's a lot of work, you know, 11:07 going through all 100,000 books. 11:09 Right. 11:10 But then you think about the reach, Brother Rodney, 11:12 isn't that encouraging? 11:13 You know, you think about all these books 11:14 that are being distributed, 11:16 well, these are not just books being distributed, 11:18 but these books are being distributed for a purpose, 11:20 and that purpose is to change people's lives for eternity. 11:24 Yes, it is. 11:25 Thank you all for having us here to highlight 11:28 what is happening in Trinidad and Tobago. 11:30 We moved the 100,000 books which is 1,000 boxes, 11:35 we moved that in under two hours, 11:38 just under two hours. 11:39 The volunteers are probably either keen and, 11:42 it was just amazing for them to empty it. 11:44 During this challenging time, 11:47 we had almost 30 volunteers came 11:49 and we emptied that container. 11:51 And it was just so amazing to see how many people 11:54 came in support in spite of the challenge. 11:56 And we like to thank... 11:58 There are so many people 11:59 to thank for making this happen. 12:01 Of course, number one will be 3ABN and all the sponsors. 12:05 We have the ministry of health who gave us permission 12:08 to empty the container 12:09 during the challenging time of COVID. 12:11 We have the controller of customs, 12:13 we have Stanmore Avenue Seventh-day Adventist Church, 12:16 the pastor, their pastor Holder and the first elder. 12:20 We have booked 12:22 Seventh-day Adventist Church Pastor [inaudible], 12:24 who has also help us pull some of the books here 12:28 so we can also prepare them as well. 12:30 And every weekend we are doing approximately 15, 12:34 at least 10,000 of those books that go out. 12:37 And people are coming 12:38 from as far as 50 miles to Port of Spain 12:42 and actually come in just to prepare the books. 12:45 And we are stamping the books with our website, 12:48 and our contact information putting flyers in 12:51 and sealing the book. 12:52 And we are almost ready 12:54 to distribute those into the community. 12:57 And there are so many ways 12:59 or options to actually distribute the books. 13:02 So we asking that the Holy Spirit gives us 13:04 the divine guidance that they shall 13:06 goes into the right hands to help 13:08 witness soul for Christ. 13:10 Wow! That's amazing, Rodney. 13:12 So you said that entire truck of 100,000 books 13:15 was unloaded in 2 hours, is that correct? 13:19 Yes, it was really. 13:21 I expected four hours 13:23 because of the challenging time that we're in. 13:26 And there's this one guy who came from the beginning. 13:30 And he was there from the beginning to the end 13:32 and he really helped us, 13:35 push those books out of the container. 13:37 And it was just so easy to see that. 13:39 I was wondering how many was going to come up 13:42 'cause sometimes people who can 13:46 and then they're concerned about COVID in the island, 13:50 and just keen and help. 13:52 So this weekend, 13:54 we also going to prepare the books as well 13:58 and we have minimum 10,000 books prepared 14:02 and then send for distribution as well. 14:05 And the volunteers come in from this past weekend cordon 14:08 would like to thank the church, Seventh-day Adventist Church. 14:12 There are so many people who came both Sabbath 14:16 and Sunday and they came 14:18 and spent the entire day with us here, 14:20 and prepared those books. 14:21 And it was just amazing to see. 14:23 And they, of course, come back this Sabbath 14:26 with more people as well 14:27 and we'd love to have more volunteers 14:29 who needed books prepared 14:31 and go out in the communities as quick as possible. 14:34 Amen. That's amazing. 14:36 I think you have some pictures 14:37 'cause I took a look at some of them. 14:38 I don't know if we can start rolling these pictures now 14:40 from the control room and then, Rodney, maybe you can tell us 14:43 what we're seeing as we see that on the screen here. 14:45 This is you obviously. 14:47 This is unloading the semi? Yes. 14:49 So all these are preparation and we keep going to the... 14:54 Yes, this is a gentleman here... 14:55 And this is Stanmore Avenue Church. 14:57 Yeah, that's Stanmore Seventh-day Adventist Church. 14:59 And these are just 15:01 some of the volunteers at the end. 15:03 That's 10,000 books the back of the volunteers 15:07 and these books are from Tobago 15,000. 15:11 We have received those books and it's been prepared 15:15 and distribute soon 15:16 in the island of Tobago as well. 15:19 And this is the gentlemen in Tobago, 15:23 and Pastor Ishan Arjun and Brother Andrews and myself. 15:28 We did 50,000 books within half an hour, 15:32 a load of the truck and faxed it both 15:35 and shipped it to Tobago. 15:37 This look like... 15:38 And these are some of the work over the weekend. 15:41 Most of them is 15:43 from the Chester Lee Seventh-day Adventist Church. 15:45 We have some of the people from [inaudible]. 15:51 And... Oh, that's a great thought. 15:53 Yes. Yes. Yeah, I like that. 15:55 This weekend people from Sangre Grande, 16:00 that's 50 miles 16:01 from where the some of these churches. 16:04 Most of the people there are from 16:06 Chester Lee Seventh-day Adventist Church. 16:08 And we are preparing the books right there 16:10 and we're going to double that station 16:13 as the workstation do. 16:14 And after preparing books there, 16:18 then we go into packets and then seal, 16:22 and then distribute from there. 16:24 So we have more stations like that to distribute as well. 16:28 Well, you're an inspiration too. 16:30 So, Rodney, I tell you, you're very good at 16:32 pulling a team together by God's grace. 16:34 You know, these are going out like the leaves of autumn. 16:37 And yeah, again, thank you to you, Rodney. 16:39 You work tirelessly. 16:41 When we were there, I don't think he slept. 16:44 May be an hour a night or something. 16:45 Maybe hour. Yeah. 16:47 But then you have 16:48 a tremendous team that's around you. 16:50 We appreciate, of course, 16:51 the support of the conference, as well. 16:52 Yes, Elder Leslie Moses... Absolutely. 16:54 Conference president there 16:56 for the South Caribbean Conference 16:57 and that was great to see Diamond Andrews as well. 16:59 And the books, 15,000 I think he said going to Tobago. 17:02 Yeah, correct. So praise the Lord. 17:03 And then also, yeah, and Tobago. 17:05 You're right. Yeah. So what a blessing. 17:06 Yeah, we appreciate the work that you're doing there, 17:09 Brother Rodney and it's a blessing to actually 17:11 have the books now, 17:13 the Ten Commandments Twice Removed books 17:14 out of the port 17:16 and actually into the hands of the church members, 17:18 who are then going to start the distribution really soon. 17:20 Thank you so much 17:21 for joining us here tonight, Rodney. 17:24 Know that we love our brothers and sisters, 17:26 there in Trinidad and Tobago, 17:28 and we're praying for God's blessing 17:31 upon these books as they are passed out. 17:32 Amen. 17:34 Do you have any closing thoughts? 17:35 Yes, there's a couple of things now it's three months 17:38 since you were in the island of Trinidad and Tobago, 17:40 and people are still talking about that event. 17:43 And it's going to be 17:44 our memories for a very, very long time. 17:47 You've made an impression on people's lives 17:49 and people's thoughts, watch you on TV and listen 17:52 and people are still talking about how amazing 17:56 or what 3ABN does and then to see in person 17:59 and to meet everyone and you share your stories, 18:01 it helps them connect with 3ABN more. 18:04 And they have much more work to do. 18:06 We would love to have 18:08 more quarter fit containers actually, 18:11 in our island, through sponsorship. 18:14 We have many more books. 18:16 I could call numbers that people must call. 18:18 But we could have a few containers with books 18:21 and a whole lot more things that happen. 18:25 By God's grace, 18:26 He's making things happen in our island, 18:28 and I thank everyone for the tremendous support. 18:31 And we thank you, 3ABN for given us 18:33 all the opportunity to reach people in our island. 18:37 Amen. Thank you, Greg and Jill. 18:48 And special thanks, as you mentioned before, 18:50 to those people who donate, 18:51 who sponsor these special projects 18:54 in order to get the gospel to Trinidad and Tobago. 18:58 Or I think we heard from Ambassador Ben Tahano. 19:03 Ten Commandments Twice Removed books 19:05 were shipped to the Philippines and they have arrived. 19:07 Yes. 19:08 that went to Papua New Guinea. 19:11 Yes, Ambassador Ben Tahano sent a couple of pictures through. 19:14 We can just put those up now too, 19:15 because the books just like they arrived 19:17 in Trinidad and Tobago, we have the books, 19:20 like you said, arrived in the Philippines, 19:22 and Papua New Guinea, 19:23 and they were sending pictures through WhatsApp to us. 19:27 Ambassador Ben Tahano, 19:28 longtime friend, of course, of 3ABN. 19:29 And there's the container. 19:31 There's 100,000 books in that container. 19:33 They're being hand taken off or hand them... 19:36 Well, yeah, you could say taken off that container. 19:38 I mean, it's incredible. 19:39 That's a lot of work and it's hot. 19:40 They're loading them into pickup trucks. 19:42 You know what's inspiring to me, 19:43 it's just people that are on fire 19:45 for evangelism. 19:46 And again, people not only doing 19:48 all the distributing of the books, 19:50 but those like you mentioned that are stepping forward 19:53 and giving the donations to actually make 19:55 this absolutely possible. 19:56 Like you said, we just are thankful 19:58 to a couple of the large donors 20:00 that step forward for this incredible project. 20:02 I want to just read this 20:04 'cause we get so much mail here through 3ABN. 20:07 And we keep encouraging you to reach out to us, 20:10 because you're part of our family. 20:11 And I just wanted to read this because this pertains 20:13 to the Ten Commandments Twice Removed book. 20:15 This just came across our desk just this week, says, 20:18 "My name is Joseph. 20:20 And I read your book Ten Commandments Twice Removed 20:23 by Danny Shelton and Shelley Quinn. 20:27 It was a great book. And now I am a Sabbath keeper." 20:32 This letter just came through this week. 20:34 So this is recent, okay? 20:35 So, "Now I am a Sabbath keeper," 20:36 now get this. 20:38 "Now I'm teaching other people about keeping the Sabbath day 20:41 and keeping the right Sabbath day. 20:43 I want to thank you for writing the book." 20:46 Praise the Lord! 20:49 Thank you for your support of the Ministry of 3ABN. 20:51 You're making a difference in people's lives like 20:54 this gentleman here by the name of Joseph. 20:56 Wasn't that encouraging? Absolutely. 21:04 Jay, let's go to 3ABN Radio and tell us some of the things 21:09 that are happening there, new programs, 21:11 things that are going on and some blessings. 21:12 So the first thing I want to say is, 21:15 in the whole time that I've been here 21:17 we've had the same attitude about 3ABN Radio 21:19 and it's evangelistic. 21:21 Amen. 21:22 A lot of the things that 21:23 I'm going to mention and talk about, 21:25 you might scratch your heads to say, 21:27 how is that evangelistic? 21:29 Well, it all works together. It does. 21:30 Everything is like this, and it meshes together. 21:33 And we can't do some things 21:35 without some of the other things. 21:37 And so evangelism is in the heart of everybody 21:42 at 3ABN Radio, everybody at 3ABN. 21:45 I'm speaking about 3ABN Radio. So we have some new programs. 21:50 We had a period there, 21:52 where we moved our studios here. 21:55 And during the time the studios were being built, 21:59 we were in temporary quarters and we couldn't do anything. 22:02 And now we are making our own programs 22:04 and moving forward. 22:06 We've added a few new programs 22:07 from other ministries in that time. 22:09 But as far as doing our own programs, 22:11 one of the programs that we added this year, 22:16 just a few months ago, 22:18 is natural remedies for good health. 22:22 Oh, wow. And... 22:24 How timely! Yes. 22:25 Right, with the COVID-19 going on. 22:28 Yeah. Yeah. What a blessing! 22:29 It was recorded just before COVID-19, 22:32 but a lot of these things will certainly fit within that 22:36 and help the people with their desire to be 22:40 healthful, healthy, healthful lifestyle 22:44 and do things that can help them, 22:47 maybe even keep from getting the Coronavirus 22:50 or anything else. 22:52 The idea is to be healthy as long as we can. 22:56 Linda and Eddie Clark are doing it. 22:57 And Linda is the one who is trained in all of this. 23:04 And I did the editing of the programs 23:07 and listen to them. 23:08 And I was thinking, "Wow," you know, she knows a lot. 23:13 And her husband was there to support her and to help her. 23:16 He'd asked questions, 23:17 make sure things were clarified. 23:19 But when it came to the remedies 23:21 and everything like that, it was Linda. 23:23 And we can tell when people like the program 23:27 because the first week it was on we got four phone calls. 23:30 Now, you would think, "Well, that, you know, 23:33 shouldn't you have thousands of phone calls?" 23:35 It's amazing. 23:36 But people, when we put on the air 23:41 new programs or whatever, 23:43 it take a while for people to be able to see, 23:46 to hear them and I almost fell into the TV. 23:51 Yes. 23:52 And it takes a while to hear them. 23:54 And then for them to react or for somebody to say 23:57 something that gets their attention 23:59 and just like that. 24:01 And we always say one phone call 24:03 or one letter would equal, maybe 300 people or whatever. 24:05 Oh, yeah. 24:07 Or more than that who would feel the same way 24:09 and just didn't take the time to call in or write. 24:11 So, absolutely. 24:12 And so it's an excellent program 24:14 because it's natural remedies. 24:18 I mean, it's using the natural ways. 24:20 And, you know, if people need to use medication, that's fine. 24:25 I do a little bit of both myself, 24:27 you know, with my challenge. 24:29 I do take very small amount of chemotherapy right now, 24:33 but I'm also trying to eat as healthfully as I can 24:37 and do things like that. 24:38 Sometimes they do better than other times. 24:41 But in any case, 24:43 so some people may want to do that, 24:44 other people go 100% health, 24:46 whatever it is, it's an excellent program. 24:49 And so we're really pleased to have it. 24:52 Another program that we have that we've just started here, 24:56 within the last month or two is Kids Time radio version. 25:01 Oh, wow! Yay! 25:04 It can be a very visual type of program 25:07 with kids running around cute as they are. 25:09 You can't see them on radio. And doing things like that. 25:13 And so we've gotten together with Aunty Francine. 25:17 All right, yeah. Yes. 25:18 And so we're working with her, 25:21 putting together a special 15-minute program for the kids, 25:24 telling stories and Bible stories, 25:27 and personal stories that uplift the Lord. 25:30 And should be on the second hour, 25:31 so we'll get to hear something about that too. 25:32 And so you can hear about it twice. 25:34 Yeah, we just could. 25:35 Yeah, from our perspective, and then from her perspective. 25:40 But in any case, the evangelism part 25:44 is the more you can get children listening, 25:48 the more they can hear, 25:49 the more they're drawn to Christ. 25:51 And sometimes in the background, 25:53 mommy and daddy are listening as well. 25:56 And so they can hear and learn some of these things also. 26:00 So those are just a couple of new programs 26:02 that we've been doing. 26:04 For the last couple of months, 26:06 I mentioned that we're having new studios. 26:08 We're also building a new database 26:10 and a scheduling program. 26:11 So with all of that working together, you know, 26:14 it's been kind of hectic at different times in there. 26:18 But the system that we had, and again, 26:20 this is a support system that helps to take 26:23 our evangelistic programs to the world. 26:27 But the system we were using was like 20 years old. 26:32 And 20 years is like a couple of centuries ago. 26:35 Oh, yeah. 26:37 Normal period in electronics for normal people like us, 26:40 it's, you know, like a couple hundred years old, 26:42 so pulling up in a horse and buggy, you know, 26:45 and somebody else drives up in a big sports car 26:47 or something like that and that's the difference. 26:49 And so, we developed it on site, 26:53 and we worked on it. 26:54 And, you know, we're testing this 26:55 and testing that. 26:57 And now we're using it and it's mostly100%, 27:01 is real close to being 100%, ready to go. 27:04 So we're really excited about that. 27:06 Jay, how many affiliates do we have? 27:08 And I'm putting you on the spot right here, 27:10 of course, we have a 95.9 at Du Quoin. 27:11 Yes. 27:13 3ABN Radio is right here but do you know 27:14 how many we have approximately when I say the world? 27:17 Well, you know, sometimes some come 27:19 and some go, and so forth. 27:21 But to be safe, we say over 300. 27:25 The last time we checked, it was more than 350. 27:28 But... That's amazing. 27:30 Yeah, a lot of them are in America. 27:31 A lot of them are in Australia and in New Zealand as well. 27:36 And the people in Australia 27:38 and New Zealand are very active. 27:40 So we get emails, we get comments, 27:43 and so forth questions, 27:45 maybe a complaint or two every now 27:48 and then which can happen. 27:49 Suggestions are good because then we think 27:51 this how I can grow 27:53 or this is something that I should consider. 27:54 So beside, listening to 3ABN Radio on affiliates, 27:59 which if it's in your local area, 28:00 that's wonderful. 28:02 You can also listen to it on the app as well, right? 28:04 Yes, all right. 28:05 I can just go to my 3ABN app right here on my phone. 28:09 And then we have all the television here, 28:11 I don't know if you can see that. 28:12 And then I can click Radio. 28:14 And then it goes 28:15 to all the radio as well, which is amazing. 28:17 And then you can listen to any one of them at any time. 28:20 And you can look at our schedules on there too, 28:22 both for TV and now for radio. 28:24 Radio, our scheduling system, 28:28 left a lot to be desired with the old program. 28:31 And so with this new system that we've got, 28:35 there's a lot more information, 28:36 still a few things to work out in there, 28:39 but if somebody looks at it right now 28:41 and looked at the old system, and now looks at this, 28:44 there's a lot more information, it's lot better for them. 28:47 So if someone is listening and they hear a program, 28:52 they say, "I wonder who that is." 28:55 They can go on, they can check the... 28:57 The schedule. Schedule. 28:59 Schedule in the app. 29:01 And find out who it is or the name of the program. 29:04 Often we get phone calls, 29:05 "I want to have a copy of that program." 29:06 And it is, you know, 29:09 and they'll give us the little name of it. 29:12 "What we schedule it by?" 29:13 And so we know they've been at our schedule. 29:16 Yeah, that's great. 29:18 I'm sure you're getting some testimonies, right, Jay, 29:19 'cause, you know, we love to hear testimonies of, 29:22 you know, 'cause we talked about 29:23 350 plus or minus affiliates. 29:27 But that's not individuals, because that footprint, 29:29 what we call a footprint is how far out it reaches. 29:33 And so the amount of people, 29:34 it's a tremendous amount of people 29:36 that is potentially reaching. 29:37 Yes, it is. 29:38 And we have affiliates that, 29:41 radio stations that are broadcasting 29:43 to small communities. 29:45 We have affiliates that are 29:46 broadcasting to larger communities. 29:49 And sometimes their signal 29:50 might be in a fairly large community, 29:53 and it might cover part of it, but not all of it, 29:57 but the people are a little more packed 29:59 and so then you get some more people as well. 30:01 So we're real pleased 30:03 with our radio station affiliates. 30:04 Amen. Yeah. 30:06 So many testimonies that are coming 30:07 from some of those affiliates are from here, locally... 30:09 Listeners. Oh, listeners. 30:11 Yeah. Well, ah, oh... 30:12 Thank you, babe. 30:16 I will say that in the time 30:20 at church, 30:23 people come in at our Thompsonville Church... 30:26 Just here locally? People come and visit locally. 30:29 They would come in... 30:30 And when we first got here, when we first moved here, 30:33 20 some years ago, "Oh, you know, we watch on TV." 30:36 We've had more people 30:37 in the last few years come in and say, 30:40 "I've been listening on radio." 30:42 And there's flipping through the dial, 30:45 sign in front of the church promotes 3ABN Radio as well, 30:51 locally, so people can see that and tune in. 30:54 I know that there's a couple 30:57 that's now a member of our church, 30:59 members of our church, that liked 3ABN Radio, 31:03 but every time we got it on the Sabbath issue, 31:06 and they turn it off. 31:08 They say, "Why do they have to talk about that? 31:10 I know that's not right." 31:11 And finally, the husband and wife got together and said, 31:14 "You know, we like so much, 31:17 so many of the other programs we like them so much, 31:20 that maybe we ought to investigate it." 31:24 And so they did. They investigated it. 31:26 They went through Bible studies. 31:28 And they said, "Wow, you're right. 31:31 We want to join." 31:32 And so they're members of our church today 31:34 and praise God for that. 31:37 Yeah, those are powerful testimonies. 31:38 I know that 3ABN Radio 31:40 is in some farming communities too, Jay. 31:42 And someone reached out to 3ABN mentioning that 31:45 they were in their tractor and their tractor has a radio. 31:49 And so they were out plowing their field, 31:51 and they were just scanning the channels 31:53 and while they were out, I mean, you know, 31:55 of course, these big farms, they're out there all day long. 31:57 They were getting 3ABN Radio 31:59 wherever this was in their tractor. 32:01 They haven't become Seventh-day Adventist, 32:03 but they're just reaching out saying, 32:04 "Hey, wow, we're very interested 32:05 in what we're hearing these truths 32:07 that are found in the Bible." 32:08 You know, Jay, that warms your heart, 32:09 doesn't it, you know, with what you're doing? 32:11 It does. It does. 32:12 And talking about affiliates, after we started 32:16 the special programming for the COVID-19, and so forth, 32:19 one of our affiliate station operators called. 32:23 It was just a few days ago. 32:24 Actually, he heard a program on the radio, 32:28 and he said that it was just perfect for these times 32:31 that we're going through. 32:33 Now we're talking some about COVID-19. 32:36 But we're also talking about 32:39 what some of this stuff, the end times are approaching. 32:43 And some of these signs for that 32:45 and a lot of people need to hear that. 32:47 You know, we know that during the end times 32:50 that they're going to be pandemics. 32:53 We know that. And guess what? 32:55 And this is probably you hear people 32:58 talking about it in different ways. 33:01 Whether it's a big pandemic or whether it's not so bad 33:04 or whatever, but I know that 33:06 there are a lot of unusual things 33:08 about this disease, COVID-19. 33:12 And this has people's interest. 33:15 And so when we start telling them, "Yes, 33:17 and this is a sign of the time, 33:19 and this is why," they're listening. 33:21 Oh, yeah. They're open to it. Yeah. 33:23 So and he told us that not only just that program, 33:27 but he's very happy with our programming as well. 33:30 Amen. Amen. Hello. 37:08 So tell us an update on what the Lord is doing in 37:13 and through the Ministry of 3ABN Latino? 37:18 Well, we're excited, 37:19 I heard you talking about the COVID-19. 37:21 And we are excited that 37:23 the 500,000 Spanish COVID-19 books 37:28 have been printed. 37:29 We praise the Lord for that. Praise God. 37:31 And we already have people ordering boxes 37:34 of the books to distribute. 37:36 And it's exciting to see people responding. 37:40 And we want to get these books into the hands of the people. 37:43 So this is another avenue by which we can reach people. 37:48 And we're just blessed to see 37:50 this opportunity for evangelism. 37:53 And like you said, people need this book 37:57 into their hands because this has the gospel. 38:01 And the people that have helped to print the book there, 38:05 you're helping to spread the gospel, 38:07 so praise God for that. 38:09 And this helps bring about the soon return of 38:12 our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 38:14 And so we are just excited about this. 38:18 And 3ABN Latino during this COVID-19, 38:21 we had to make some modifications 38:23 in our programming, 38:25 so that we can still minister to people. 38:29 We, of course, could not invite people like 38:33 our 3ABN Parent Network or the other network. 38:35 So we have been connected with people through Skype, 38:38 and they have been sending videos. 38:41 And it's amazing how the Lord developed these things 38:45 because we have done many old programs. 38:49 My wife says about 30 of them and where we have pastors, 38:54 doctors, participating, we've had pulmonologists, 38:59 we've had heart specialists, 39:02 pediatricians, Christian psychologists, 39:06 family counselors, 39:08 because there are different aspects 39:09 of this COVID-19. 39:11 And people are facing 39:13 different struggles in life, especially, 39:18 family issues at home, children, 39:21 and all kinds of things. 39:24 And so the Lord has led and I praise the Lord 39:27 because we have been relevant in this time of need. 39:31 Because of the programming, 39:33 we developed a 12-minute program 39:37 that was running every day, that either had a doctor 39:40 or a pastor and people orienting, 39:44 people about the dangers of COVID, 39:46 how to protect yourself, what to do if you're infected. 39:49 And there's this other aspect 39:51 that was touched by one of the doctors and that is, 39:54 or the Christian psychologist, 39:56 you know, there are people that had difficulties, guilt, 40:00 because they infected other people. 40:02 And one of them had even made a comment that, 40:06 "If I infect my parents, I think I'll just kill myself." 40:11 And so there are different emotional trauma 40:14 that people have been facing. 40:16 And so the Lord has blessed in such a way that 40:19 the people have been blessed. 40:22 And as a matter of fact, one, 40:25 we've had one caller from Puerto Rico 40:29 because thanks to 3ABN, 40:32 we were able to get on this plan to reach 40:34 the whole island of Puerto Rico. 40:36 So more and more people are discovering 3ABN Latino. 40:40 And one lady said, "I started to watch 40:42 because you were sharing information about COVID-19. 40:45 And I needed to know about this, 40:48 and I just continued watching 40:50 and now it's on all the time in our home." 40:53 So praise the Lord. 40:54 This has also opened the opportunity for people 40:57 to continue watching 3ABN Latino. 41:01 And during this time, you know, things are not slowing down. 41:04 We have gained some affiliates, 41:06 we've gained a couple of radio affiliates. 41:08 And we are talking to 41:10 some people that have a channel in Ecuador 41:14 to include some of our programming. 41:16 And so we have been busy in 3ABN Latino, all of 3ABN. 41:21 And I thank the Lord for the 3ABN Latino editors. 41:24 And it's been a lot of work, 41:26 and we're still moving forward by God's grace. 41:29 Amen, Pastor. 41:30 Yeah, I agree with you, you know, 41:32 there's still things that are happening 41:33 even though we've been shut down. 41:35 Because, I mean, obviously, you're aware of this, 41:36 but, you know, across my desk 41:38 and I'm signing new contracts like you're saying 41:40 for whether it's for cable or radio, for Latino. 41:43 So it's encouraging to see that things are still happening 41:46 and going forward. 41:47 And there's some exciting things, Pastor Johnny, 41:49 we can just tease our viewers and listeners right now, 41:52 but there's some really exciting news 41:54 that we're just while I'm chomping at the bit. 41:56 So they say, to share this information, 41:59 but this is coming really soon and God has just opened 42:02 incredible doors that we will be 42:04 sharing this news by God's grace 42:06 and by faith here surely. 42:08 I know you're excited about this, you know, 42:09 what project I'm referring to, Pastor. 42:11 But God is doing marvelous things here in these end times. 42:15 I am. 42:17 I do know what you're talking about 42:18 and we're just trying to hold back 42:21 from sharing these things 42:23 because they are still developing some things. 42:25 They are. And, but they are so exciting. 42:29 And it's going to mean a lot for the gospel to spread. 42:34 And I just praise the Lord. 42:36 We're gonna be so happy to share this with you 42:39 as soon as we see the Lord work things out 42:42 that are still in process, but it is exciting. 42:45 Yeah, amen. 42:46 Yeah, we appreciate the work that you and your dear wife do 42:50 and then the entire 3ABN Latino team. 42:52 You know, it's a hard working group we have here. 42:53 Oh, yes! 42:55 Thank you for your leadership with 3ABN Latino. 42:57 I know we got to let you go but just one question here, 43:00 regarding, I know 3ABN Latino 43:02 is doing special programming for church services, 43:06 so talk to us a moment about that because, 43:08 of course, churches have been shut down, 43:11 and you have stepped forward 43:13 in providing a worship hour for them. 43:17 Yes, that's another area of ministry 43:20 that taking the lead that our 3ABN Parent Network, 43:23 we've been preparing worship hour, 43:27 and we've had emphasis 43:29 on different aspects of this pandemic 43:32 and facing the future, with hope in your heart. 43:35 So we've produced 43:39 what we call the 3ABN Latino Worship Hour 43:43 that are airing on 3ABN Latino 43:45 and we have received very good comments 43:48 about the sermons that are being broadcast. 43:52 As a matter of fact, 43:53 people are telling, "I've been blessed. 43:55 This has been welcome in our home, 43:58 and we just thank the Lord for what 3ABN continues to do 44:01 to reach out to us." 44:03 And it's been another area of ministry. 44:05 You know, it's interesting that 44:06 during this COVID-19 we've had people participate 44:10 from different countries that, 44:12 otherwise would be very difficult for them 44:15 to participate 44:16 because the issue of getting visas 44:19 to come to the US, 44:22 even when you don't have the COVID-19, 44:24 but we've had some 44:27 beautiful musical talent come to us 44:30 and people are more accepting 44:31 of seeing a home video than before. 44:34 So we've had some singers and tremendous talent 44:39 that had been able to participate. 44:41 We even had a whole orchestra participate too, 44:47 I mean, they had all these little squares 44:49 where the people were playing violins 44:51 and different instruments and it was just exciting to see 44:56 the creative way people are doing things to reach out 45:01 and to stay connected through the COVID-19. 45:04 So we've had pastors preaching sermons, 45:07 we've had people, we even had some special programs 45:09 from pastors that will be difficult 45:12 to get to 3ABN, all together. 45:15 But a lot of these pastors 45:17 are not able to be teaching in universities, 45:20 they're not able to be ministering in churches, 45:21 so they were home. 45:23 So we've been able to get them. 45:25 And we've had a question and answer, 45:28 like end time events. 45:29 We had four theologians on at the same time, 45:33 answering questions from people, 45:35 and it has just been a tremendous blessing. 45:37 Amen. God bless you, Pastor Johnny. 46:09 You know when you think about 46:11 the evangelistic outreach of 3ABN, 46:13 so much of it could not take place 46:16 without Roy's department, 46:18 Planned Giving and Trust Services, because... 46:20 I agree. 46:21 Through this department so much funds 46:24 come in to be able to support this evangelistic work. 46:27 So talk to us about 46:29 what you've been doing during COVID? 46:31 Well, it's an exciting time. 46:33 We know we're in the last days. That's true. 46:36 When you see all the calamities that are happening, 46:38 the COVID-19, the tornadoes, the riots, 46:44 we're told in the last days 46:47 that these things are going to happen. 46:50 So the Lord is right around the corner. 46:53 So when COVID-19 hit, 46:56 our phones usually ring pretty consistently all day along 47:01 and our phones just playing quit. 47:05 Everybody was home, concerned about their families. 47:09 They didn't know what was happening. 47:11 And as things began to settle down, 47:14 the phones rang a little more. 47:17 However, during the silence, we said, 47:21 "If our phones aren't ringing, 47:23 we're going to make our viewers and listeners phones ring." 47:28 All right, that's good. I've got a good staff. 47:30 Yes, you do. 47:31 I've got Earlenne, Nancy and Karen and myself. 47:36 We got our list of 47:37 all of our trust doors, our heritance. 47:42 We didn't realize how many we had. 47:44 We didn't make it all the way through the list, 47:47 but we sat down 47:48 and we started calling individuals 47:51 to let them know that 3ABN cares during this time. 47:56 We care about you. 47:58 It wasn't a call about finances. 48:01 It was strictly a call to find out 48:03 how they were doing. How's your family? 48:06 Do you have prayer? 48:08 Do you have prayer requests that we can pray about? 48:11 And, you know, what was exciting to hear 48:15 most people were doing okay... 48:17 Oh, good. Praise the Lord. Physically. 48:19 We only had one mother and son that tested positive, 48:23 and they were home in quarantine. 48:25 But everybody else was home. 48:29 And their concern was not about themselves. 48:32 Their concern was about the people 48:34 around the world that don't know Christ. 48:37 And during this time of trouble, 48:40 the word needs to get out. 48:43 And so we prayed about that, we prayed about their family. 48:47 We had some moms and dads 48:49 where their children weren't in the church. 48:52 And during this time, 48:54 they were really concerned about 48:57 the young people of the family. 48:58 Wow! 49:00 You know, Roy, that's actually incredible, 49:01 like what you're mentioning, 'cause here's someone 49:03 that's actually tested positive, 49:04 right, you know, their own health or people 49:06 are worried about their own health 49:08 yet they're concerned in a good way about evangelism 49:11 and how the message is going to get out. 49:14 That shows you the true heart of an individual. 49:17 Of an individual. And it was encouraging to us. 49:20 Yeah. Yeah. 49:21 It was encouraging for them to hear from us 49:26 and likewise, to hear from them. 49:28 So maybe just briefly, Roy, real quick 49:30 because someone may be tonight saying, 49:32 "Planned Giving Trust, what exactly is that?" 49:35 So maybe can you just give us like a real brief synopsis of 49:38 what this department is 49:39 and what does it function here at 3ABN? 49:41 I have to tell you 49:43 one little quick story before... 49:44 Sounds good. 49:45 Okay, so story then description. 49:47 That's right. Okay. 49:48 The calls that we made were not about finance. 49:50 Yes, that's right. 49:51 It was concerning of the individuals. 49:54 We had one lady, Earlenne made the call. 49:58 And the lady said it, "I can't believe 3ABN 50:02 is calling me right now." 50:04 She said, "I just had a check come in. 50:06 I didn't know which ministry was going to get the check." 50:09 And she says, "You're the first one 50:12 that's contacted me not about money but about me." 50:17 She says, "That money's going to come to 3ABN." 50:19 Wow, praise the Lord. And that was exciting to hear. 50:22 That wasn't what we were doing. 50:25 But she was excited about helping evangelism for 3ABN. 50:28 Amen. 50:30 Now, there's a lot of ways 50:32 that you can help 3ABN in supporting financially. 50:38 You can donate... 50:40 Now people say 50:41 how can we affect 3ABN right now? 50:43 Sure. Outright donations. 50:47 Another way is through trust and wills. 50:51 And people that know me, 50:52 know I'm going to say something about trusted wills. 50:54 Oh, yes. That's right. 50:57 I've been waiting. It's just part of me. 50:58 That's right. 50:59 And one of the documents 51:01 that we have is called a charitable gift annuity. 51:05 It's something that's really easy to start. 51:10 Single individual can start with as little as $5,000. 51:16 For a husband and wife, it's $10,000. 51:22 Now I have to tell everybody that's listening. 51:26 The rates are based on your age. 51:29 So the older you are, the more interest is paid on 51:32 a monthly basis for the rest of your life. 51:36 We subscribe to a service 51:38 that all the rest of the ministries subscribed too. 51:43 And they set the rates as to what we pay interest wise. 51:47 They go through all of the calculations to see 51:52 what best fits our ministry 51:55 during every single financial time during the year. 52:00 Well, they've decided as of July 1, 52:04 the rates are going down. 52:06 Oh! Okay. 52:08 Wow. Okay. So my... 52:10 Does that mean if you have 52:11 a charitable gift annuity already, 52:13 then your rates not going to go down? 52:15 No. Okay. 52:17 If you have a charitable gift annuity, 52:19 whatever rate you start with stays that same rate 52:22 for like the rest of your life. 52:24 So it won't be affected then? It won't be affected. 52:27 But I know there's many people out there 52:29 that are thinking about doing annuities. 52:32 So my advice to those kind of, on the ball, you know? 52:37 Yeah. 52:38 Now's the time before it could lie. 52:40 Now is the time. 52:41 And if you're thinking about it, 52:43 and we've had calls from people 52:45 that have seen our programming recently, 52:47 said, we want to do an annuity. 52:49 We really need to get your applications 52:52 and the check in by June 24 52:57 that gives us a little bit of time 52:59 before the end of the month. 53:00 And you will be locked in 53:02 to the current rates which are higher. 53:05 Can I ask... 53:06 This is putting you on the spot. 53:07 Can you give us an approximation 53:09 of how much the interest return rate would be, 53:12 say I'm 75 years old? 53:15 And... You must have read my notes. 53:17 Yay! 53:18 Because, I mean, you're talking interest rate 53:20 and you're saying it's going down. 53:21 But I mean, are we talking, am I getting half percent? 53:24 Am I getting 1%, 2%? What percentage would be? 53:27 For a 75 year old person, the old rate was 5.8%. 53:33 Wow. Oh, that's good. 53:35 The new rate is going to be 5.4%. 53:37 Okay. 53:38 Doesn't sound like a lot but 53:40 over a period of time, it's quite a bit. 53:45 Seventy five year old if they put in $50,000, 53:48 and that's kind of a nice round figure. 53:50 Some people give more, some less, 53:52 but we chose kind of the middle of the road, 53:55 $50,000 your interest rate 53:59 is going to be 5.8%, 54:04 excuse me 5.4%. 54:07 Okay. Okay. 54:08 And that's a reduction of about $200 in a year's time. 54:13 Doesn't sound like a whole lot, but over a period of 10 years, 54:17 that's $2,000. 54:19 Oh, sure, it's now that's quite a bit. 54:21 So that changes July 1? That's how 3ABN operates. 55:25 We don't put that pressure. 55:26 We'll just give you the information 55:28 then it's up to you. 55:29 And what's really neat, Roy, is that, 55:31 how do we say this nicely but like when we pass away 55:36 that's what's incredible 55:37 'cause even today we receive something. 55:39 Today, this person now is sleeping in Jesus 55:42 but yet their works do follow them. 55:44 So their gift now that they've passed away 55:46 is come to 3ABN and its continuing evangelism. 55:50 So here they're resting. 55:51 They don't know what's happening, 55:53 but yet it's making a difference 55:54 still in the work of the Lord. 55:55 And I see people that have a trust, 55:58 and I put this word out and I know it's working. 56:01 They say, "We already have a trust. 56:03 We don't need to do on with 3ABN." 56:06 Well, you can still include us in your trust 56:09 by going to the administrator of your trust, and say, 56:12 "We want 3ABN to be a part of it." 56:14 Yeah. Amen. 56:15 And surprises down the road, you know. 56:17 Yeah, absolutely. 56:18 Those are surprises to 3ABN. Absolutely. 56:20 Because you can make that decision 56:21 when you write a trust 56:23 or a will, you know, you can decide, 56:24 "Okay, what certain percentage goes to my children, 56:27 certain percentage I want to 3ABN," 56:29 or people can even choose other ministries. 56:31 So absolutely there's options.
