Yes. 00:59 Welcome John and Idalia Dinzey. 01:01 Thank you. Thank you. 01:02 It's a pleasure and blessing to be here. 01:05 How long have you been here, Pastor Dinzey? 01:08 Little over 29 years. Oh my! 01:10 I was just talking to Tammy Larson, 01:13 this year it's gonna be the 30th year that we're here. 01:16 Wow. That's great. 01:17 She said, "Wow, I've been here a little over half my life." 01:20 She doesn't look like she's even 30 years old. 01:24 But you're not telling anybody her age 01:25 as you're speculating out too. 01:28 She's behind the camera. 01:31 And Tammy and John has, they have seen this place 01:34 go through such a transformation. 01:36 I mean, even this studio, 01:37 you remember the boss auditorium days. 01:39 Oh, yes. Oh, yes. 01:41 Uplink days. 01:42 Many, many stories, many wonderful things. 01:45 When I arrived at 3ABN 01:48 because Idalia came about five years later, 01:50 3ABN had one building, 01:53 well, two if you count the transmitter building. 01:58 They had the main studio and office 02:00 where everything was. 02:01 We had one vehicle, 02:02 which had the engine rebuilt on it and that was it. 02:06 We had one television station 02:09 broadcasting 3ABN in Salem, Illinois 02:12 and we had one cable station in San Diego, California 02:16 that would broadcast from two in the morning 02:18 till about six in the morning. 02:19 What? We didn't know that. 02:21 Today there are hundreds, a few thousand cable companies 02:24 that broadcast 3ABN Latino, 02:28 3ABN Parent, Russian. 02:31 I mean, it's amazing... 02:32 So many networks. Oh, yes. 02:33 Share about how the transmitter was 02:36 when you were putting the programs on the air 02:39 and answering phone calls? 02:41 I remember this from Sister Linda Welch. 02:44 She used to work in master control, 02:46 which was inside the transmitter room. 02:48 And when they first started 02:49 first putting programs on the air, 02:51 when the phone would ring, it was in the transmitter room. 02:55 And what the transmitters do? 02:57 They make noise. Big noise. 02:59 So they had to literally stick their head out the door 03:03 to be able to hear what the person was saying. 03:06 Oh my. 03:07 And we were on satellite 03:10 and we had only a few thousand people 03:12 that had the big satellite dishes at home. 03:15 Today, 03:16 I mean, who would imagine that God will open the door 03:19 of a new way to reach people through the internet. 03:21 Anybody in the world can reach us 03:23 via the internet nowadays, even on phone. 03:25 Even on the phone. 03:27 It's incredible because 03:28 you know, when you think 03:30 and this gospel of the kingdom 03:32 shall be preached in all the world for a witness 03:33 unto all nations and then the end shall come. 03:36 And in our minds, we wonder how is this going to be done. 03:39 But God is gonna do it fast. That's right. 03:41 He's gonna do it quickly and it's amazing. 03:44 I mean, I could, 03:46 I think or maybe I should not say anything, 03:48 cause God can do miracles to reach people. 03:51 Yes. 03:52 He could send people to reach people. 03:53 We have examples. 03:55 Remember, Philip? 03:56 Oh, yeah. 03:58 The Holy Spirit said to him, 03:59 "Go join yourself to that chariot." 04:01 That's right. And he ran over there. 04:03 We need to start running to places now. 04:05 He ran over there and joined himself 04:07 and the person was reading from Isaiah 53. 04:10 Yes. 04:11 And he says, "Do you understand what you're reading?" 04:13 How can I unless somebody teaches me 04:16 and he taught about Jesus Christ 04:19 and he came the Messiah and He was crucified, 04:22 and He's your Savior, He's resurrected. 04:24 He's... 04:25 And the man said, 04:27 "What prevents me from being baptized?" 04:29 Hey, he said, there's water right here. 04:30 And the fellow said, "If you are willing, you can." 04:33 And he was baptized right there. 04:34 Yes, he was. 04:36 And you know what the Bible says? 04:37 That the man Philip disappeared... 04:39 Disappeared, yes. 04:41 The Lord carried him away somewhere else. 04:43 So if the Lord can do miracles like that, 04:45 we're checking you give an example of him. 04:47 Yeah, we're gonna give you... 04:49 I mean, we have so much to unpack about 04:52 what 3ABN Latino is doing 04:54 because this network is going and growing. 04:56 Yes. 04:57 In all over Spanish speaking countries 04:59 and that's amazing. 05:01 I've had the privilege of... We had. 05:02 Both of us have had a privilege of joining them 05:04 on a couple of occasions in Columbia. 05:06 And we're looking forward to some things 05:07 coming up here in the future. 05:09 But before we get to that, 05:10 and we're also not going to start with music 05:12 because we have something special 05:14 in the second hour of music. 05:15 And we'll let Pastor Dinzey tell you in just a moment, 05:19 but we've started something not too long ago. 05:21 And I want to give Tim a chance too. 05:24 Let's talk about the 10 Days of Prayer. 05:27 We had a program. 05:29 We launched it last week, 05:31 but now give us some updates on that 05:32 and how things are going 05:34 and you have some wonderful letters 05:35 to go along with that. 05:36 Sure do, yes. 05:38 This was a prayer strategy 05:39 from the Revival and Reformation initiative 05:42 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 05:44 Ten Days of Prayer 05:45 where they were encouraging people to pray 05:49 for an hour a day at least, 05:53 and they had provided on their website, 05:55 a great outline that you could begin with thanksgiving 05:59 and go into confession, 06:02 into supplication and intercession, 06:04 and then end with thanksgiving. 06:05 You actually start with praise and ended with thanksgiving. 06:09 But there was always a great, very well put together, 06:12 very great program 06:13 and this is not the first year they've been, 06:15 they have at least 06:16 since I believe 2012 on their website 06:19 that you can go back and read, follow the outline. 06:23 Just a wonderful program 06:25 and so on the Praise Him network 06:27 which launched the January 2... 06:30 Amen. 06:31 Amen. 06:33 We had the privilege of just taking 30 minutes 06:37 started at 7 pm every night. 06:40 In fact, it's still continuing up until the 19th. 06:44 Okay. 06:46 We will continue, it will be on tonight. 06:49 Good, two more days. 06:52 Yes, through this coming Sabbath. 06:55 That's right. 06:56 So, and we've already been receiving a lot of comments. 07:01 Of course, last Thursday, 07:02 we featured the two hour prayer 07:07 live program right here, the same time last week 07:11 and so it was that when we've gotten 07:13 a lot of just response. 07:16 You know, people love to know that you care, 07:19 and they love to know that you're praying for them. 07:21 And we certainly are praying for all the needs. 07:26 I was introduced, also, 07:28 and I'm saying multiple things here, 07:31 introduced to our pastoral department, 07:35 the prayer chain that they have, 07:38 the website, it's on our website, 07:41 but it's an email list. 07:44 That's the prayer warrior list. 07:46 I was unaware of that. 07:47 There's so much going on here, 07:49 that it's so easy to like, miss it, 07:53 not because I wasn't interested, 07:55 but just because I was too busy in other departments. 07:58 So let me first of all talk about some of the responses 08:00 that we've had to the 10 Days of Prayer. 08:05 Just a few of the emails we've received. 08:07 One says, 08:09 "Praise God for your program of year of prayer. 08:11 I'm watching right now." 08:13 So this was the one that was aired last week, 08:15 the Thursday night. 08:16 "I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes 08:18 and in my heart for each of these requesting prayer. 08:22 I'm so very grateful for God for all He's done in my life. 08:25 Thank you for all this remarkable program of prayer. 08:29 God bless you all with your every need." 08:33 So if you didn't watch last Thursday night, 08:35 we each took some time to pray from the list, 08:39 from the 10 Days of Prayer 08:40 and from some of our personal prayers, 08:43 and just a really special time to draw close to God. 08:48 There's nothing like, 08:49 in my opinion, corporate prayer... 08:51 Where we and it doesn't, by corporate I mean, 08:54 where there's two or more, just two or three or just, 08:56 you know, just a little home study group 08:58 or in this case there were like nine of us I believe. 09:01 So that was, it just, I love to pray 09:05 and I love to pray with fellow believers 09:07 knowing that our prayers are definitely, 09:10 they are heard all the time but God says 09:13 there's where two or more gathered in My name, 09:16 there I will be in their midst and so, 09:19 when you're talking to Him, 09:21 well, you can't lose in my opinion. 09:22 Never. Amen. 09:24 So another viewer wrote in, I just finished watching 09:29 a repeat episode of 3ABN live two hour prayer show. 09:33 So this is just 09:35 and that's the cool thing about prayer 09:37 is that it doesn't have, 09:38 you don't have to catch it the first time. 09:40 You know, just the repeated prayers. 09:43 That's powerful. 09:45 So this person was watching the repeat episode. 09:47 At the very end, Tim Parton spoke to me. 09:50 "I am 59 years old in very poor health 09:53 and I'm unable to leave the house without help. 09:55 I long for church, family and fellowship. 09:58 He included me, I was praying and I included someone like me. 10:02 And the tears flowed. 10:05 I consider y'all my family even if you don't know me. 10:09 You will never know, Mr. Parton, 10:10 how much your words of inclusion meant. 10:13 I pray for you all." 10:14 Amen. Beautiful. 10:16 Again, praying for each other, there's power and power 10:20 when people hear that you are praying for them, 10:23 you know, and so, don't ever... 10:26 I know a dear friend of mine had 10:29 I knew that she was going through a situation 10:32 just this past Friday, 10:35 and I prayed for her 10:39 and I sent her a text said praying for you. 10:43 And that's just powerful to me, 10:44 you know, to let them know that you're praying for them 10:46 and I'm sure that you do this, you know, quite often, 10:50 but another e-mailer writes, 10:53 I would like to thank the crew, the staff for his, 10:57 well okay, I'll just say 10:59 this is actually for the music channel, 11:01 and I hate to talk about myself because it's like, 11:04 I'm not trying to talk about this... 11:06 Well, you didn't write it. 11:07 I didn't write it. 11:08 So I'm reading it, it says, 11:10 "I would like to thank Tim Parton for his selection 11:13 on the music channel this morning. 11:14 What a blessing, every selection 11:16 spoke to my heart, just what I needed." 11:17 Amen. 11:19 Talking about they have some family conflict, 11:20 they're saying, "I'm so drained. 11:22 Normally I don't watch anything before my devotion 11:25 but this morning I turned the music channel on. 11:27 It has become my very favorite channel, 11:30 what a blessing. 11:31 Amen. 11:32 I have a lot to hang on to, to take me through this day. 11:36 I'll just... Couple more. And you know what? 11:38 You people are very, so very kind 11:41 and they send these messages 11:43 and they just talk about my piano playing 11:47 and my singing and again, 11:48 so my secretary gave this, gave this to me, 11:52 these ones and I read through them, 11:54 but I just, I guess I didn't realize 11:57 that they were thanking me. 11:58 But it's not about me, 12:00 it's about the gift that God's given me 12:02 and it's not even about that, 12:03 it's just the fact that God can use all of us 12:06 and He's called us here to do what we do. 12:08 That's right. 12:10 So where it's not about us, but they say, "Thank you, 12:11 for Tim Parton did an excellent job. 12:13 I love to listen to him play and sing. 12:16 Much encouragement I receive watching his singing program." 12:19 So again, this is from the new music channel network 12:23 that launched January 2nd, and one last one, 12:28 if you will give me time. 12:30 He says, "We are so blessed with the musical programming. 12:33 It is delightfully special to see Tim Parton featured. 12:36 Please feature more of his this inspiring music. 12:39 We're especially grateful for the music 12:41 on the Sabbath schedule. 12:42 We love sermons 12:43 but are extremely blessed with the music." 12:45 All my life I've been playing music. 12:47 And I know the power of music 12:51 to warm up hearts prior to a message. 12:55 You know, it's kind of like John the Baptist did. 12:58 He goes before... The forerunner. 13:00 Right. 13:01 And so music doesn't replace the gospel or the sermon. 13:06 It enhances it and it prepares the heart. 13:09 So I just want to make reference 13:10 to the email list 13:16 that can be found and joined on the pastoral 13:18 if you go to 3abn.org/pastoral. 13:24 Okay. 13:26 You can join 13:27 the prayer warrior's prayer list and every Monday 13:30 you will receive a prayer request list 13:33 and so I received this past week, 13:35 this past Monday, a prayer list 13:38 and there were 42 requests 13:43 prayer requests 13:45 and 38 of them were requests. 13:51 They were for healing, salvation, job and finances, 13:55 protection, cancer, marriage and family, 13:58 alcohol and drugs, deliverance. 14:01 So just a variety of needs that are represented by you, 14:05 represented by you the viewers, 14:07 but I think it's interesting 14:09 that out of 42 of them, 38 were requests, 14:13 and it is a prayer request line, 14:15 but only four of them were praise reports. 14:19 And so I don't know if we, 14:21 I don't think we have another email list 14:23 for praise reports. 14:25 These are all included. Right. 14:26 But I just want to talk about the importance of praising God, 14:32 thanking Him for answering prayer. 14:34 And sometimes we have to do that by faith. 14:38 And so, we don't always get to hear a praise report about, 14:42 you know some and maybe 14:44 that's because these situations haven't been resolved. 14:48 And so but even if, like I say, maybe if sometimes 14:53 we just would start thanking God in advance. 14:57 And maybe they are, I'm sure many of you are. 15:00 But I recall the lepers, the 10 lepers... 15:03 Oh, yeah In Luke that, you know, out of 10, 15:09 one came back to cry holy and to... 15:12 Praise the Lord. 15:13 Right, to fall before the Lord to thank Him. 15:15 So I think it's important in all of our requesting 15:19 and in all of our praying to be sure 15:23 and start and finish with praise and thanksgiving, 15:25 just powerful. 15:27 I'm glad you mentioned that about praise 15:28 because I mean if anybody's able 15:31 to watch this program right now, 15:32 if they woke up this morning 15:34 and that's a reason to praise the Lord. 15:35 They're breathing right now. 15:37 That's the reason, praise the Lord, 15:38 if you can move your arms, 15:40 and even if you can't, if you're alive. 15:43 That's reason enough to praise God. 15:45 And everybody needs prayer 15:47 whether or not they realize it or not, 15:50 you know, and at 3ABN, 15:53 this year the vision has been cast at that, 15:55 this is the year of prayer. 15:57 Yes. And so, how timely is that? 16:01 I was at GYC. 16:03 And, you know, you get into these Uber, 16:05 like I take Uber and stuff, if I don't have a rental car. 16:09 And there were people who were like, 16:11 "Well, you know, what are you here for?" 16:13 And then you start telling them about the convention. 16:14 "Well, what do you do? 16:16 Are you from out of town? Where are you from? 16:17 What do you do?" 16:19 And then you start explaining Well, 16:20 I work for a Christian television network 16:22 here for a convention. 16:24 "Will you pray for me? 16:25 Will you pray for me and my family?" 16:27 You know, the one guy just lost his son 16:30 not too long ago and he wanted prayer as well. 16:34 So it's like so many great opportunities 16:36 to pray with people and go before the Lord 16:40 and intercede on their behalf. 16:41 Yeah. That's right. 16:43 And it's just a blessing. 16:44 That's right, people need the Lord 16:45 as the song goes. 16:47 As the song goes, yeah. 16:48 And it's not only as for their personal Savior, 16:49 but they need the benefits 16:51 of what the Lord can do and Psalm talks about 16:54 "Bless the Lord, O my soul, forget not all his benefits." 16:57 So and as we're not forgetting, 16:59 if he doesn't want us to forget them, 17:01 that means he wants us to pray for them. 17:03 So yeah, the 10 Days of Prayer is just a wonderful program. 17:08 So continue for the next two days 17:11 to go to watch the Praise Him network. 17:16 And to watch at 7 pm Central. 17:20 You can watch 30 minutes of prayer and praise with me. 17:22 Amen. 17:23 And so, on Sabbath, we will be talking, 17:27 just doing some praising, but we will have, 17:29 that will be the 11th day. 17:30 Ended up with praise. 17:31 And so we're going to end up with praise 17:33 and a good time of singing and worshiping the Lord. 17:35 Amen. 17:37 And prayers opening up your heart 17:39 to God as to a friend. 17:41 It says in Steps to Christ. That's right. 17:43 And it's just beautiful, your best friend, 17:45 you're talking to Him. 17:47 And when I wake up in the night, 17:49 which I often do, I start talking to the Lord 17:52 because I know He wants me to pray for someone and we do. 17:55 And this morning you woke up around 3:25. 17:59 This morning. 18:00 'Cause I went to bed with a thought on my mind, 18:01 the Lord put a thought in my mind 18:03 and at 3:25, he woke me up. 18:07 And I stayed up to five or seven, I laid in the bed. 18:10 And I took my phone and thank the Lord, 18:11 I had a phone, has a pen 18:13 and I started writing all these things down 18:14 that he was bringing to my mind, 18:15 scriptures, and I ended up with very, very long list 18:18 and I thought, thank you Lord 18:20 and I just close my eyes in the dark 18:21 and put my hand on my chest like this 18:24 and just started praying and talking to God. 18:26 I mean, just talking like He's right there, 18:27 and say Lord, 18:29 "You woke me up this morning for a reason? 18:30 What is it that You want to tell me?" 18:31 And it just flowed. 18:33 And so that's why prayer is so vitally important, 18:34 we think about prayer, it's not something that... 18:37 And by the way, the 10 Days of Prayer 18:39 is to get your prayer life restarted or started 18:42 because you cannot make it through 2019 18:44 without an active prayer life talking to the only one 18:47 that can make a difference in our lives. 18:48 And what do we pray for every day? 18:51 Our heart, pray for our love, our heart in our marriage 18:56 every day we pray for that. 18:59 I love our heart... 19:00 Now, Jason, let's go to Jason Bradley. 19:02 You're the manager of Dare to Dream. 19:04 Yes, yes. 19:06 And what's been going on with Dare to Dream? 19:08 Share with us. Exciting things. 19:11 God is continuing to do amazing things 19:13 with Dare to Dream and you know, 19:16 yes, I play a part in it. 19:18 But you know, just seeing how He orchestrates things 19:21 is absolutely amazing. 19:22 You know, I've been to few events 19:26 and as I went to these events, one of them was PELC, 19:30 Pastoral Evangelism Leadership Council. 19:33 And there they moved where the booths were, 19:37 where the exhibit hall was, and so, we didn't see 19:41 as much traffic for one part of it, 19:44 but the people that God placed in our path, 19:48 I mean, it was simply amazing. 19:49 So there's some huge events that are going on. 19:53 One in California, one in up north 19:57 somewhere in Virginia. 19:59 One in Virginia and I kept meeting 20:03 the orchestrators of the events like 20:06 meeting the people 20:08 who are putting together the event 20:10 so they're saying, you know," Come out, 20:12 we'd love for you to share about Dare to Dream, 20:14 and what's going on." 20:16 And they said, "You know, put it, we're arranging this. 20:20 So put it on your calendar, 20:22 like you don't have to go to anybody else. 20:25 You just met the person." 20:26 So I mean, God has us right where He wants us to be. 20:29 Yes, amen. That was amazing. 20:31 And it was like a loving rebuke like, 20:34 to me like, you know, 20:35 why are you thinking about like quantity? 20:39 I've got you right where I want you... 20:41 I got you right in the position 20:42 where you need to be to meet the people 20:44 that I'm putting in your path, 20:46 so that you can spread the word 20:48 about the network Dare to Dream. 20:50 We are getting ready to record pumped up parents. 20:54 Whoo. And so... 20:56 I like that title. 20:58 Pumped up Parents, yeah? 20:59 I mean, they have to be enthusiastic 21:01 to some degree in charge. 21:02 Absolutely. 21:04 So the format of this program is it starts 21:06 with the wrong way to parent. 21:09 Okay, now I can give you a perfect example of that. 21:13 You get this kid, 21:14 you might have a kid that is disrespectful. 21:17 Mercy. 21:18 And it takes everything in you with prayer to not, 21:21 you know, go after the kid and so, we have, 21:26 it starts with the wrong way to parent 21:27 and it starts with a skit. 21:29 Right? 21:30 Then it goes into the open of the program, 21:31 then it comes out in a counseling session. 21:33 So the parents are in a counseling session 21:35 talking to a biblical counselor. 21:38 And then it goes into, they implement those strategies 21:42 that the counselor gave them in that session. 21:44 And then it goes into the right way skit. 21:47 And so you get to see those strategies implemented 21:50 and all of those things 21:51 and you see how the lives have been improved. 21:53 And then they go back to the counselor, 21:55 talk to the counselor again, 21:57 and then there's like a final thought. 22:00 So we'll be recording that next week. 22:02 We're excited about that. 22:04 What's it's called again? 22:06 Pumped up Parents. 22:09 I think, I saw a preview of that. 22:10 That was really interesting to see because today, 22:13 I mean, the Bible did say in the last days, 22:16 children will be disobedient to parents. 22:19 And with all the laws nowadays, all the restrictions, 22:22 we were raised in quite a different area, right, honey? 22:24 Very different. A rod of correction. 22:26 The rod of correction. Oh, yes. 22:27 And now the rod of correction is turning 22:29 to the correctional institution and so many children 22:32 that don't need to be in these places incarcerated 22:35 are going there, because I think it starts at home. 22:38 And you know, the Bible says, 22:40 train up a child the way he should go. 22:41 And when he grows old, he won't depart from it. 22:44 And that's, that's so true. 22:45 So we need to make sure that we're equipping our kids 22:49 with and I don't even have any kids, 22:51 but I know because my mother has put me... 22:55 That's right. 22:56 With the chore within now. 22:58 So I mean, it's so important that we raise children 23:02 and share with everybody the precious truths 23:04 that are found in God's Word. 23:07 So we've got that going on, Pumped up Parents. 23:09 We will be covering the Book of Daniel 23:13 this year by God's grace 23:15 on salvation and symbols and signs. 23:17 So we're looking forward to getting in there. 23:19 We have the study guide website available now, 23:22 which is salvationsymbols.tv 23:26 and you can download for free, 23:28 those study guides and also on that, 23:33 so each study guide corresponds to a different episode. 23:36 Right. 23:37 And so you might have, 23:39 it might correspond to programs one and two. 23:41 Well, there's also a link under that 23:44 so if you click number one, 23:45 it takes you to our YouTube channel 23:47 and you can watch the program 23:48 from the study guide site that you download. 23:51 So and our YouTube is youtube.com/d2dnetworktv. 23:58 Okay. Praise the Lord. 24:34 Don't get so excited. 24:35 I can't help it. 24:39 And your mom is still, what's her capacity now? 24:42 She is the Dare to Dream consultant. 24:44 So I get to pick her brain still, 24:47 and not only do I get to pick her brain 24:50 but she's very much involved in programming as well. 24:53 She's hosting programs, she's still producing programs. 24:57 And then you know, 24:58 I get to sit down and talk with her. 25:01 There's nothing better than being able to talk to someone 25:04 who's been where you are now but she even, 25:08 she was in the seat when it started, 25:10 you know, so she had to take it from scratch. 25:13 Yes. 25:14 And the Lord has used her in a mighty way to do so. 25:16 So, I'm blessed I have her as a Dare to Dream consultant. 25:19 I told her I don't care 25:21 if she's like 90 something or 100 years, 25:23 I'd taken up and picked the gear up for a perk. 25:30 And taking part of that was nice. 25:33 Yes. 25:34 Praise the Lord for your advancement 25:36 and you know when you think about these programs on 3ABN, 25:38 honey, it's amazing to see that as time goes on, 25:41 3ABN believes in creative production. 25:45 You know, Shelley Quinn is involved 25:46 in a new programming 25:50 and then this programming, the new music network 25:53 also just plug it right here. 25:55 Now there's also one for radio. 25:58 Well, I work at 3ABN Radio as many of you know 26:01 and have been there for a while. 26:04 About 15 years almost. Something like that, yeah. 26:06 And it's wonderful 26:08 'cause we get letters from people 26:10 that are driving in their car, 26:13 and they're listening to 3ABN Radio, 26:15 and they said, many truckers, 26:17 they say, they can't drive further, 26:20 because the signal is dying. 26:23 And so they stop and they listening to a program 26:26 and they said, "Oh, this is so good." 26:28 So they call 3ABN, 26:30 and we have over 300 stations worldwide. 26:35 And our strong station 26:38 is strong tower radio in Michigan. 26:42 And they are doing an amazing job. 26:46 The team there and as I mentioned, 26:49 they covered almost all of Michigan 26:51 which is just a blessing. 26:53 And they're very progressive too. 26:55 Many people are walking into the church, 26:57 ready for baptism 26:59 because they're listening to 3ABN Radio. 27:01 And I have the privilege of hosting a program 27:04 called Crossroads on 3ABN Radio, 27:07 which is pretty much a testimony program, 27:10 and is just half an hour. 27:14 And I just love what I do. I love the work. 27:17 I edit, I edit programs for my boss, Jay Christian 27:22 and we're just a team there in radio 27:26 and I love my job. 27:27 And I love your voice. 27:29 I mean, even though, even though 27:30 I hear my wife's voice every day, 27:32 whenever I hear one on the radio, 27:34 I pause and listen to it in her voice. 27:37 And I'm not saying this because you're my wife, 27:39 but partly because I am telling the truth. 27:42 Praise the Lord. 27:44 It's partly, the second reason 27:46 I love that God brought you here. 27:48 You had no desire to be a part of what you're doing now. 27:51 Absolutely none. 27:52 He equips the ones He calls and so He's equipped you 27:56 to do something wonderful not only the program, 27:58 but editing also and getting people 28:00 that have wonderful testimonies. 28:02 So 3ABN Radio is keeping the light on 28:05 for those who are driving in their cars 28:06 or wherever you're listening from. 28:08 Oh yeah. And one short story. 28:11 There was a person listening to the radio 28:13 and they said every time they changed the channel, 28:15 it would go right back to 3ABN Radio. 28:18 They'll turn that channel, it'll go back to 3ABN Radio. 28:21 They tried everything to stop. 28:23 Wait, what's wrong with my radio in the car 28:27 and it went right back. 28:28 So they said, well maybe the Lord want me 28:30 to listen to this channel 28:31 and so they listened and listened. 28:34 Now they're part of the remnant church, 28:36 a part of this church and we just praise the Lord 28:38 for the wonderful ministry of 3ABN Radio, 28:42 and I'm grateful for that. 28:44 And many times at 3ABN Radio, 28:45 I have the privilege 28:47 of having Idalia Dinzey bring me guests... 28:50 Oh, yes. 28:51 In to, from her Latino guests 28:53 even though they speak Spanish... 28:54 They're bilingual. They're bilingual, exactly. 28:56 And she say, hey Angie, here's a guest, 28:59 and I'm like so honored to have some of the Latino guests 29:03 and so right now I want to move over to 3ABN Latino. 29:07 John Dinzey, when did 3ABN Latino get started? 29:10 You used to be in the pastoral department, 29:13 3ABN's. 29:14 Yeah. Master control first. 29:16 Oh, master control. 29:18 The man of many hats after 29 years. 29:21 Yeah. It started in 2003. 29:25 So last year in August, it was our 15th year. 29:27 Fifteenth year? 29:29 Wow. 29:30 And so how many stations do you have for 3ABN Latino? 29:33 Actual TV stations? TV stations. 29:35 Well, we have, 3ABN has, 29:38 I forgot the amount of downlinks 29:40 is over 60 I think 3ABN has since. 29:43 On many of those 3ABN Latino is on there 29:46 because when you go to digital, then you can add more channels. 29:50 So we're on many of those. 29:52 Also, we have in Oregon, is it though, 29:56 what's the name of the network, honey? 29:57 Good News. 29:59 Good news is in Arizona. 30:00 Good News is in Arizona, we're talking about... 30:03 Just one in Oregon? 30:05 It'll come to me in a moment, but they have 25 channels 30:08 where they have put on 3ABN Latino as well. 30:12 And when we think of Good News, 30:14 which is Arizona, 30:16 they have 3ABN Latino, they also have Dallas, 30:18 and we have Houston 30:19 and we're also on 30:23 in a couple of places in Mexico 30:27 and it's in, in Mexico, it's a different thing 30:31 because the government at this present time, 30:36 and the laws are starting to change, 30:38 but they don't really allow 30:40 Christian channels and televisions. 30:42 But the pastor went to talk to the local mayor. 30:46 And this is a place that is surrounded by mountains 30:49 that really hardly any TV channels 30:51 from national TV chains get there. 30:54 They have to depend on a service that brings us 30:57 through a satellite dish, 30:59 but there are two local channels. 31:01 And so, somebody was grabbing some programming 31:05 from one of the little DVS systems director said, 31:09 I am putting on a local channel. 31:11 And the pastor saw that and I say, 31:13 "Well, we can do the same thing with 3ABN Latino." 31:15 So he talked to the mayor. 31:17 And the mayor said, "Sure, you can do that." 31:20 So he got himself the satellite dish, 31:22 and the 3ABN and the receiver 31:27 and 3ABN Latino was on 31:29 and several thousand people can watch 3ABN Latino there. 31:31 Wow. 31:33 And so this is amazing. 31:36 You know, we hear stories of sometimes cable companies, 31:40 for some reason, they lose the signal 31:42 from some channel they had, 31:43 and they're trying to find something. 31:45 They put 3ABN Latino on. 31:46 This has happened in Puerto Rico 31:47 and other places. 31:49 And eventually, because it takes a while 31:51 for the other channel to come back. 31:52 People say hey, we like this channel. 31:54 So when they take us off, then the people complain 31:57 and they have to find the channel for us. 32:01 Many wonderful things the Lord does 32:04 for 3ABN Latino to advance. 32:07 We ran over 1300 cable companies. 32:09 Wow! That many? 32:10 Thirteen hundred? 32:11 By the grace of the Lord and you know you took me back 32:15 to when we got started. 32:16 Oh, yes. 32:17 When we got started because I had been helping 32:22 the marketing department at 3ABN for a while 32:24 to try to get 3ABN a parent network 32:27 on some cable stations. 32:29 I know the process, you know, sometimes you have to 32:32 go through this process of visiting churches, 32:34 motivate the brothers and sisters, 32:35 so right to the cable companies and then you bring, 32:39 you know, the people are writing to the cable companies. 32:41 The cable company says, "Wow, 32:42 what are all these requests for? 32:44 What channel is it? Oh, 3ABN." 32:46 So there's a process. 32:48 So I imagine the same process 32:49 for some of these Spanish countries. 32:51 And I remember in my office, wow, 3ABN Latino is on the air 32:54 and I took this big sigh. 32:57 Whoa. 32:58 There's a lot of work ahead of us to try this channel 33:01 on cable companies. 33:02 Imagine going to, to talking to some of the conferences, 33:05 going to some of the churches and so many Spanish countries 33:08 and motivating them to talk to the cable companies. 33:11 And it's like one of those things the Lord says, 33:14 my little son, you have no idea what I'm about to do. 33:17 Because the Lord impressed lay people and pastors, 33:21 even union presidents to help 3ABN Latino get on cable. 33:26 So we started getting on cable companies 33:29 through the efforts unknown to us, 33:31 and we're like what we're on? 33:32 And yes, and I, I went over there 33:34 and I talked to them and they said, 33:36 Yes, they'll put you on 33:37 and send us a satellite receiver. 33:39 So we have to send satellite receivers 33:40 and we started growing very, very fast this way. 33:43 And you know, there was a man 33:45 that loved the programming of 3ABN. 33:47 I'm trying to remember his name now. 33:49 Is this in Oregon? 33:51 No, this is Dominican Republic. 33:54 Okando, thank you very much. 33:56 She remembers names better than I do. 33:57 I remember faces. 33:59 But anyway, He was, 3ABN was putting on an hour 34:04 and a half of Spanish programming back in 1989 34:07 when I came and eventually went to five days, 34:10 it was seven day, then went to five, 34:12 then it went to three. 34:13 And so this brother in Dominican Republic, 34:15 he was copying all the programs 34:17 that we would have in Spanish on VHS tapes. 34:21 And eventually because he asked for 34:26 whenever there was an evangelistic campaign 34:28 in Spanish, 34:29 he would talk to the local cable company, 34:31 and he said, hey, can you put this evangelistic campaign on, 34:33 it's on for this during this time, 34:35 during this week. 34:36 And they said it's a special programming 34:37 people all over and so many... 34:39 In all the Spanish countries are tuning in. 34:41 He says, "Really?" 34:42 So they would put this on and a response 34:46 of the local community was so huge that the guy said, 34:49 "Hey, you got some good programming. 34:51 I don't know where you get it from. 34:52 But why don't you go ahead 34:54 and we're gonna give you a channel 34:55 so you can put on programming that you..." 34:57 And so, from his house, he was putting on 35:03 VHS tapes when they were back. 35:05 I'm taking you back. 35:06 A lot of people know what VHS is. 35:08 Jason, do you know what VHS is? Six hour long tapes. 35:14 So he was doing this for quite a while 35:16 including they were recording some programs at home 35:19 but he didn't know that 3ABN Latino 35:20 was on the air until a few months 35:24 that he had been doing this. 35:25 Once he heard because their family was, 35:27 we gotta get back to the house 35:29 because we got to put another tape on. 35:30 You see that's the way it was. 35:33 Because it was, they had the 3ABN English on, 35:37 parent network on but they didn't know 35:39 3ABN Latino was on another channel. 35:41 So they were putting on 3ABN network 35:44 when their programming, 35:48 their tape went out, then it would go to a 3ABN 35:51 during the night 35:53 they will wake up at night putting tapes on, 35:54 but anyway he found out 3ABN Latino was on 35:57 and he said, oh! 35:58 They talked to the cable company 35:59 and put us on. 36:01 I remember talking to a cable executive 36:02 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. 36:05 And he said that 36:09 when he found out 3ABN Latino 36:11 was on the air, he started watching it 36:14 and he was blessed in his house. 36:15 Amen. Wow. 36:17 And he said, I got to have this channel 36:18 on my cable company. 36:20 He said, I decided to put 3ABN Latino on 36:23 to counteract all the corruption 36:26 that I was putting on, on the other channel. 36:29 Wow. 36:30 And what a blessing, he says I only watch two channels, 36:34 the news and 3ABN Latino. 36:36 Praise the Lord. 36:37 So we have seen incredible things happen. 36:39 Police, the police going 36:41 to the local Adventist book center, 36:44 walking in and the conference people 36:48 see them walking into bookstore. 36:49 He's talking about a lot of men there. 36:51 'Cause I don't know, they said, I wonder what crime took place. 36:54 And some, one of the pastor come says, 36:56 excuse me, is there any problem? 36:59 Oh, no, no, we watch 3ABN Latino 37:00 and they are talking about these health programs 37:03 and we want to make changes to our health. 37:05 So we're coming here to buy some health food. 37:07 So the police you see, so God is impacting people 37:10 and we have no idea of. 37:12 I wanna read this to you 37:13 because talking about cable companies, 37:16 this is from Evangelism 19, a book you can get 37:20 from the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 37:21 downloaded from the internet 37:22 says everywhere the light of truth is to shine forth. 37:26 Their hearts now in the sleep of ignorance may be awakened 37:30 and converted in all countries 37:32 and cities the gospel is to be proclaimed. 37:36 Praise the Lord. Amen. 37:37 So, talking about cable companies, 37:40 there's a cable convention coming up 37:42 in Cartagena, Colombia 37:44 that we would like to go to. 37:46 Yes. Why? 37:48 Because when we go there, the Lord blesses tremendously, 37:50 that's why and we get the lowest... 37:53 How far is that from Cali and from Bogota? 37:57 Its several hours from Bogota. 38:01 Okay. Several hours. 38:03 But anyway, Cartagena. 38:04 Columbia cable company executives come 38:06 from all over South America. 38:08 And there, if we get a booth there, 38:10 the Lord will bless. 38:11 The lowest amount of cable companies 38:13 that we've been able to get during one of these things 38:15 was 70. 38:17 We've had as many as 98, and a 100. 38:20 Now specify what you mean, you mean that many signups? 38:23 That many companies want to carry 3ABN Latino. 38:28 So we haven't been there in several years. 38:30 We need to go back. Yeah. 38:32 To get some more people because we wanna get 38:35 over 2,000 people to be carrying 3ABN Latino. 38:38 So what happens when these cable companies say 38:40 they want to carry 3ABN Latino? 38:42 Well, we have to supply them with a satellite receiver 38:44 and a modulator in most cases. 38:46 Okay. 38:47 So we're talking about nearly $600 for cable companies 38:51 that we have to invest. 38:53 So nearly 600 cables up so we get about 100. 38:56 Imagine so we get 50 or 100, praise the Lord, 38:59 but then we have supply these things 39:01 to the cable companies. 39:03 And we happen to be on a satellite 39:05 that most of the cable companies 39:06 in South America 39:08 and Central America want or they have 39:11 because we're on a satellite 39:12 that has many of the Spanish channels 39:14 the cable companies want. 39:16 That's right. 39:18 So it's, when we go there, we don't have to supply them 39:20 with a dish. 39:21 All we need is a satellite receiver 39:23 and the modulator 39:24 and some other cable companies, 39:26 for some reason, they don't have that. 39:27 We have to supply a satellite dish, 39:29 but for most of our mates, 39:32 modulator and satellite receiver. 39:34 What's a modulator? What in the world is that? 39:36 Well a modulator is a piece of equipment 39:39 that when the cable company says to you, 39:41 well the only channel I have available is channel 42. 39:44 Okay, the modulator is tuned to that channel 42. 39:48 So you may be on channel 42 on one cable company 39:51 but channel 58 on another cable company. 39:53 The modulator does that job. 39:54 So when the people take their remote control 39:58 and say I want channel 42, 3ABN Latino's on there. 40:02 And so, this is at the end of February, 40:05 and we need to set up a booth and we need some support 40:09 to get that going. 40:11 You know, it's almost a little over $3,000 40:14 just to have a booth there 40:15 because you're in the prime site 40:18 where these cable companies are, 40:19 executives are passing by. 40:21 So for a little space, 40:22 they charge you upwards to $5,000. 40:26 And so, but the benefits are tremendous 40:30 because when you get into a cable company, 40:33 you are reaching, sometimes thousands of homes, 40:37 sometimes millions of homes. 40:40 So imagine for an investment of $600, 40:42 you could be reaching thousands of homes. 40:44 Not just once but every day, 24 hours a day of the year. 40:49 You're sleeping and 3ABN Latino's on the air 40:51 preaching gospel. 40:52 So you see, and there are people awake 40:54 at all kinds of hours of the night. 40:55 So we want to encourage people, they want to support us 40:57 in this endeavor. 40:59 You can maybe sponsor half of a satellite receive 41:01 or modulator or whatever. 41:04 And that's the same phone number, 41:05 (618) 627-4651 phone number, right? 41:10 And input is there any special earmark, 41:12 3ABN Latino? 41:13 Yes, for 3ABN Latino, cable companies, 41:15 got cable convention, whatever you want to call it. 41:18 Take 3ABN Latino on cable, satellite receiver, modulators, 41:20 one of those things help us to understand 41:22 or say cable convention, that will let us know 41:24 that this is for the cable convention in Colombia. 41:28 You have some music in front of you there. 41:30 Yes. And, Idalia? 50:34 Well, here we're gonna look into Dominican Republic, right? 50:37 For doing the evangelizing with power series. 50:42 We've been in conversation with the union president, 50:46 and we have an appointment with him to, 50:49 you know, tune the end details, but this what it all entails, 50:53 he said, our viewers sign up as speakers. 50:56 They pay their own way, they pay their hotel, 50:58 they pay their food, 51:00 and they study the material we get to them, 51:03 and they go and preach as volunteers. 51:06 And that's why we started in Guatemala, then Colombia. 51:11 And I don't know the tally of how many baptisms we've had. 51:15 But by the grace of God and glory to God, 51:18 many people have made their decision 51:20 because they're following the 3ABN programming. 51:22 That's right. 51:23 So by the time they get the personal invitation, 51:26 they've also started their own Bible study 51:30 with the local brethren with their local churches. 51:33 And also when they come to the meetings, 51:36 they say, you know what? 51:37 I've been watching I believe, and here I am. 51:40 So these are reaping evangelistic... 51:42 Reaping evangelism. 51:43 Call for baptism. Yes. 51:44 Because... Go ahead. 51:46 So when did you say that your... 51:47 This is in November. November? 51:49 The evangelistic campaigns. And the camp meeting? 51:50 The camp meeting will be in the month of July. 51:53 Okay. Where will it be? 51:54 In Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville, Tennessee. 51:56 Oh, Nashville. Wow, okay. 51:58 I'm glad you got that information. 52:00 That's good. 52:01 Yeah, we need it. Go ahead. 52:02 Yes and, you know, it's incredible. 52:04 When we were in Honduras for evangelism, 52:08 we had different congregations, 52:11 denominations with their pastors, 52:13 Sunday keeping charges... 52:15 Coming to the meetings every night 52:18 and they wanted to see 52:19 what it was like to have worship 52:22 with the Seventh-day Adventists and now they're... 52:25 The word around is Seventh-day Adventists are not a cult, 52:29 they are movement, they are a church. 52:31 And praise God, many are being baptized still 52:36 and still in Bible studies, just like when we did 52:38 in Bogota and Cali. 52:40 So it wasn't moving because when you saw 52:43 they were pastors from other denominations, 52:44 they came to the evangelistic campaign. 52:46 Why? 52:47 Because they have watched on 3ABN Latino. 52:48 Right. Amen. 52:50 Well, thank you for that update. 52:51 I mean, Latino is on the move. 52:53 Yes, I love it, and its evangelism 52:55 is the lifeblood of the church, isn't it? 52:57 New people coming in. 52:59 Speaking of evangelism, 53:00 you are head of world evangelism for 3ABN? 53:03 Yes. 53:04 And we've been blessed to be able to do that. 53:05 You know, 3ABN is evangelism. 53:08 They exist only `for one mission, evangelism, 53:11 the word through, preaching of the word, 53:14 the teaching of the word, the word in music, 53:17 everything is about evangelism. 53:19 Everything we do here is to plant a seed 53:21 for another soul to be in the kingdom of God 53:23 in English, and Spanish, and Russian, for children. 53:26 Everything is about evangelism and right now we're planning 53:29 an evangelistic series coming up this fall 53:32 with the Michigan Conference. 53:34 We have been in conversation with them. 53:36 And the Michigan Conference is very much evangelistic, 53:39 as many of our conferences are, but there's such a, 53:42 with Strong Tower Radio up there. 53:44 Oh, yeah, we've chosen because of that, 53:46 they're planting so many seeds. 53:48 Yeah.
