Absolutely. 00:05:12.77\00:05:14.11 Father, we want to thank You so much 00:05:14.14\00:05:15.48 for waking us up this morning 00:05:15.51\00:05:16.85 and breathing Your breath of life 00:05:16.88\00:05:18.21 into every single one of us. 00:05:18.25\00:05:19.58 And right now, Lord, we ask for Your Spirit 00:05:19.61\00:05:21.12 to lead and guide us in this study, 00:05:21.15\00:05:23.52 that Lord, glory and honor will be given to You 00:05:23.55\00:05:25.65 and that Lord, we could learn 00:05:25.69\00:05:27.02 how to be godly men for You in these last days, 00:05:27.06\00:05:29.62 we ask this in Jesus' name, amen. 00:05:29.66\00:05:31.53 Amen. Amen. 00:05:31.56\00:05:33.63 The title of this is Men of God, 00:05:33.66\00:05:36.20 what does it mean in these last days? 00:05:36.23\00:05:39.27 In any given position in any walk or age of life, 00:05:39.30\00:05:43.17 what does it mean to be a man of God? 00:05:43.20\00:05:46.71 And I believe that there is an abundance 00:05:46.74\00:05:48.74 of biblical counsel, biblical principles, passages 00:05:48.78\00:05:52.31 that we can pull from 00:05:52.35\00:05:53.68 where the Bible clearly communicates to us 00:05:53.72\00:05:56.32 as to what it means to be a man of God. 00:05:56.35\00:05:58.82 If God has called you, 00:05:58.85\00:06:01.12 what does that mean for you personally 00:06:01.16\00:06:03.06 to be a man or a woman of the Lord? 00:06:03.09\00:06:05.19 And so what I want to do 00:06:05.23\00:06:06.56 is just kind of open us up here, 00:06:06.59\00:06:07.93 just kind of go around. 00:06:07.96\00:06:09.30 Jay, I'm going to start with you. 00:06:09.33\00:06:10.67 Personally, just kind of, 00:06:10.70\00:06:12.37 according to your personal opinion and idea 00:06:12.40\00:06:14.54 of what it means to be a man of God, 00:06:14.57\00:06:16.37 what is your thoughts on that? 00:06:16.40\00:06:17.97 I think it, 00:06:18.01\00:06:19.34 you know, it involves being a man of integrity, 00:06:19.37\00:06:21.01 a man of your word, 00:06:21.04\00:06:22.38 and submitting and committing your life to the Lord. 00:06:22.41\00:06:24.68 And, you know, anytime you want to be something 00:06:24.71\00:06:28.05 or be like someone, 00:06:28.08\00:06:30.42 you have to study the characteristics 00:06:30.45\00:06:32.29 and attributes of the individual 00:06:32.32\00:06:34.09 that you want to be like. 00:06:34.12\00:06:35.46 And so in this case, in being a man of God, 00:06:35.49\00:06:38.06 you have to learn about God 00:06:38.09\00:06:39.49 and we do that by studying His Word. 00:06:39.53\00:06:41.70 So I think that it's a matter of studying God's Word, 00:06:41.73\00:06:46.94 and living out those principles 00:06:46.97\00:06:49.24 that we will discuss in this program. 00:06:49.27\00:06:51.07 That's right. Praise the Lord. Well said, Brother, well said. 00:06:51.11\00:06:53.17 Dakota, what does it mean to be a man of God? 00:06:53.21\00:06:56.11 Well, man, I have to say, you cannot be a man of God 00:06:56.14\00:06:59.25 without coming into relationship with God 00:06:59.28\00:07:00.98 and knowing God as your Lord and Savior. 00:07:01.02\00:07:03.05 And, you know, we know in the scriptures 00:07:03.08\00:07:05.22 that teaches that in and of ourselves, 00:07:05.25\00:07:06.82 we can do nothing. 00:07:06.86\00:07:08.19 In John 15:5, it reminds me of what Jesus says, 00:07:08.22\00:07:11.39 "I am the vine, you are the branches. 00:07:11.43\00:07:13.16 He that abideth in Me and I in Him, 00:07:13.19\00:07:15.50 the same bringeth forth much fruit, 00:07:15.53\00:07:17.47 for without Me you can do nothing." 00:07:17.50\00:07:19.30 And so when we come into relationship with Jesus, 00:07:19.33\00:07:21.60 and we come to know Him, 00:07:21.64\00:07:23.04 then He's going to change our minds, 00:07:23.07\00:07:24.41 our hearts and our nature, 00:07:24.44\00:07:26.74 so that we would be partakers of the divine nature 00:07:26.78\00:07:28.54 and be godly men in His presence. 00:07:28.58\00:07:30.58 So yeah, got to get to know Jesus. 00:07:30.61\00:07:33.01 Amen. Praise the Lord. 00:07:33.05\00:07:34.38 That was a good answer as well. 00:07:34.42\00:07:35.98 Ben, what are you thinking of, man of God, 00:07:36.02\00:07:38.32 what's on your heart? 00:07:38.35\00:07:39.69 Well, Ryan, I would echo some of the things 00:07:39.72\00:07:41.19 my brothers here said. 00:07:41.22\00:07:42.76 I think being a man of God 00:07:42.79\00:07:44.79 not only applies to who we are individually, 00:07:44.83\00:07:47.33 but also how we treat people as well. 00:07:47.36\00:07:49.76 And how we end up, you know, interacting with people 00:07:49.80\00:07:53.10 and whether it's our brothers or sisters 00:07:53.13\00:07:55.27 or whoever it may be our parents. 00:07:55.30\00:07:57.47 I think that reflects who we are 00:07:57.51\00:07:59.21 and also knowing where our identity is, 00:07:59.24\00:08:02.91 which is in Christ. 00:08:02.94\00:08:04.28 Wow! Praise the Lord. 00:08:04.31\00:08:05.65 Great answer. CJ? 00:08:05.68\00:08:07.32 Well, it's... 00:08:07.35\00:08:10.12 What I have to say is pretty similar as well. 00:08:10.15\00:08:11.59 It's reflecting the character of Christ 00:08:11.62\00:08:14.26 in everything that we do. 00:08:14.29\00:08:17.19 When we're trying to be a man of God, 00:08:17.23\00:08:19.53 we're trying instinctually to be like Christ. 00:08:19.56\00:08:22.63 And so, you know, we'll study to know what Christ was like. 00:08:22.66\00:08:26.84 And as we go through this study, 00:08:26.87\00:08:28.74 I hope that we learn a little bit more 00:08:28.77\00:08:30.31 about what that is. 00:08:30.34\00:08:32.84 But one of the things that I think of as a man of God 00:08:32.87\00:08:36.78 is something that Paul told real quick, 00:08:36.81\00:08:38.75 Paul told Timothy, in 1 Timothy 3, 00:08:38.78\00:08:41.98 he was giving the description 00:08:42.02\00:08:43.35 of what a bishop and a deacon should be. 00:08:43.39\00:08:45.95 And someone who is... 00:08:45.99\00:08:48.69 He says, someone who's blameless, 00:08:48.72\00:08:50.09 if you're married husband of one wife, temperate, 00:08:50.13\00:08:52.66 sober minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach, 00:08:52.69\00:08:56.43 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, 00:08:56.46\00:08:59.47 but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous. 00:08:59.50\00:09:02.04 So it's a man of good report. 00:09:02.07\00:09:04.94 It's a man who reflects God in everything that he does. 00:09:04.97\00:09:08.61 It's not a man who's so easily given over 00:09:08.64\00:09:10.55 to his emotions and his feelings. 00:09:10.58\00:09:12.95 It's someone who actually is careful in the way he acts, 00:09:12.98\00:09:16.08 and thinks reflecting 00:09:16.12\00:09:17.45 and always bring God into the picture. 00:09:17.49\00:09:19.02 Oh, well, wise. 00:09:19.05\00:09:20.79 That was really good, really, really good. 00:09:20.82\00:09:22.16 Very good. 00:09:22.19\00:09:23.53 You know, as I was studying for this topic, 00:09:23.56\00:09:24.89 and I was just going through, there was an abundance of text 00:09:24.93\00:09:27.96 that I just was so excited to use, 00:09:28.00\00:09:29.73 but I thought, man, if I keep writing down 00:09:29.76\00:09:31.97 and copying all these texts to read, 00:09:32.00\00:09:34.64 it's going to turn into a multi part series, 00:09:34.67\00:09:36.57 which is not a problem, but we'll say it may turn 00:09:36.60\00:09:38.67 into a multi part series anyways. 00:09:38.71\00:09:40.58 That being said, 00:09:40.61\00:09:41.94 I kind of found a couple of themed scriptures 00:09:41.98\00:09:43.48 that I felt like really set the foundation 00:09:43.51\00:09:45.55 for what it means to be a man of God. 00:09:45.58\00:09:47.45 And the first one comes from 1 Timothy 6:11. 00:09:47.48\00:09:51.15 Again, that's 1 Timothy 6:11. 00:09:51.19\00:09:54.66 And this is what Paul writes, he says, 00:09:54.69\00:09:56.36 "But you, O man of God, 00:09:56.39\00:09:59.39 flee these things and pursue righteousness, 00:09:59.43\00:10:03.50 godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness." 00:10:03.53\00:10:08.70 So, again, in these things when he says flee these things, 00:10:08.74\00:10:12.11 if you go read the verses prior to this, 00:10:12.14\00:10:14.28 he's basically highlighting a worldly man, 00:10:14.31\00:10:17.65 a man who is caught up in the world, 00:10:17.68\00:10:19.11 a man who is caught up in the lust of the flesh 00:10:19.15\00:10:21.52 and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. 00:10:21.55\00:10:23.75 And he's highlighting those negative aspects 00:10:23.79\00:10:25.72 of what happens 00:10:25.75\00:10:27.09 when we are a slave to the carnal nature. 00:10:27.12\00:10:28.76 But in this verse here, 00:10:28.79\00:10:30.13 verse 11 of 1 Timothy Chapter 6, 00:10:30.16\00:10:32.39 he says, "You will men flee from these things," 00:10:32.43\00:10:34.23 get rid of those things. 00:10:34.26\00:10:35.60 Come to the Lord and of course, pursue righteousness, 00:10:35.63\00:10:38.60 godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness, 00:10:38.63\00:10:42.14 which, you know, interesting that most of those are... 00:10:42.17\00:10:44.04 a lot... 00:10:44.07\00:10:45.41 Most of those are what we find within the fruits 00:10:45.44\00:10:47.31 of the Spirit. 00:10:47.34\00:10:48.68 You notice? 00:10:48.71\00:10:50.05 Notice how we're full of the Holy Spirit, 00:10:50.08\00:10:52.51 and we're being led by the Holy Spirit, 00:10:52.55\00:10:54.22 then God is shaping us and molding us into that 00:10:54.25\00:10:57.49 that child of God, 00:10:57.52\00:10:58.85 that man of God or that woman of the Lord. 00:10:58.89\00:11:01.52 Another one that came to my mind 00:11:01.56\00:11:02.89 was 1 Corinthians 16:13. 00:11:02.92\00:11:05.29 And while I do like the King James, 00:11:05.33\00:11:08.36 a New King James version, which I normally stick to, 00:11:08.40\00:11:11.33 every once in a while, when I'm studying something, 00:11:11.37\00:11:13.20 it will lead me to see what other versions, 00:11:13.23\00:11:15.94 other translations have to say. 00:11:15.97\00:11:17.81 And I really liked how 1 Corinthians 16:13 00:11:17.84\00:11:20.48 was worded in the English Standard Version, 00:11:20.51\00:11:22.91 which says these words. 00:11:22.94\00:11:24.28 It says, "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, 00:11:24.31\00:11:28.42 act like a man." 00:11:28.45\00:11:30.19 That's what it says. 00:11:30.22\00:11:31.55 Act like a man, be strong. 00:11:31.59\00:11:32.92 And so, you know, oftentimes, 00:11:32.95\00:11:35.12 you know, and I'll open this conversation up, 00:11:35.16\00:11:37.46 you know, oftentimes growing up, 00:11:37.49\00:11:38.83 when I read that, you know, act like a man, 00:11:38.86\00:11:41.00 you know, I've heard that many times 00:11:41.03\00:11:42.90 while growing up as a kid or a teenager, 00:11:42.93\00:11:44.60 you know, you're, kind of, you're growing, 00:11:44.63\00:11:46.50 you're trying to learn what it means to, 00:11:46.53\00:11:48.27 you know, get out of those childish things. 00:11:48.30\00:11:49.74 You know, Paul writes about, 00:11:49.77\00:11:51.11 you know, I put away those childish things 00:11:51.14\00:11:53.01 and, you know, I became a man, right? 00:11:53.04\00:11:55.01 And so, you know, many times going up, 00:11:55.04\00:11:56.68 I would hear, you know, older people 00:11:56.71\00:11:59.35 or sometimes my dad would tell me, 00:11:59.38\00:12:00.95 you know, as I was growing up as a kid, 00:12:00.98\00:12:02.45 "Come on, son, be a man," you know, be a man about it. 00:12:02.48\00:12:04.95 And that's the question we're asking is, 00:12:04.99\00:12:07.09 what does it mean to be a man of God? 00:12:07.12\00:12:08.92 Because the world's picture 00:12:08.96\00:12:10.76 or idea of what it means to be a man, 00:12:10.79\00:12:13.06 you know, a man in the masculine sense, 00:12:13.09\00:12:15.36 you know, and the extreme manly sense, 00:12:15.40\00:12:17.90 you know, it's drastically different 00:12:17.93\00:12:19.73 than what we see in the Bible, because obviously, 00:12:19.77\00:12:22.30 the Bible is not talking about masculinity, 00:12:22.34\00:12:25.27 in the sense of, 00:12:25.31\00:12:26.64 you know, being manly and being strong 00:12:26.68\00:12:28.74 and, you know, taking it like a man 00:12:28.78\00:12:30.35 and, you know, some of these things 00:12:30.38\00:12:31.71 that you would hear, 00:12:31.75\00:12:33.08 but God really focuses in as we would expect, 00:12:33.11\00:12:35.28 the character of a man, the character of a being. 00:12:35.32\00:12:38.55 And so, the first question is, I was... 00:12:38.59\00:12:40.29 As I was dialing in my thinking on this, 00:12:40.32\00:12:43.56 is what spiritual counsel can we find in the Bible 00:12:43.59\00:12:46.83 about becoming or being a man of God? 00:12:46.86\00:12:50.23 So, Jay, I'm going to have you to go to Micah 6:8, 00:12:50.27\00:12:54.10 and CJ, I'm going to have you to read Proverbs 5:1. 00:12:54.14\00:12:58.07 I believe the Word of God 00:12:58.11\00:12:59.44 again has an abundance to say about this. 00:12:59.47\00:13:01.38 And again, we're going to kind of 00:13:01.41\00:13:02.74 just create some conversation 00:13:02.78\00:13:04.11 and if any of you guys have questions or comments 00:13:04.15\00:13:05.58 you want to make please, please let us hear them. 00:13:05.61\00:13:07.48 So Micah 6:8, take it away, Jay. 00:13:07.52\00:13:09.72 All right, after that, 00:13:09.75\00:13:11.09 I really want to comment on that 1 Timothy Chapter... 00:13:11.12\00:13:12.79 Oh, yeah, go ahead. 00:13:12.82\00:13:14.16 Yeah, go ahead. Okay. 00:13:14.19\00:13:15.52 So where it says, "But you, O man of God..." 00:13:15.56\00:13:17.03 this is 1 Timothy 6:11. 00:13:17.06\00:13:18.93 "But you, O man of God, flee these things." 00:13:18.96\00:13:21.96 But it doesn't just stop there. 00:13:22.00\00:13:23.33 It goes on to say, 00:13:23.37\00:13:24.70 "and pursue righteousness as you brought out godliness, 00:13:24.73\00:13:27.64 faith, love, patience, gentleness." 00:13:27.67\00:13:29.50 A lot of times you see a complacency, 00:13:29.54\00:13:32.14 where it's like, you know, 00:13:32.17\00:13:33.91 I'm abstaining from these things. 00:13:33.94\00:13:35.84 I don't do these things anymore. 00:13:35.88\00:13:37.21 I don't do that. I've come a long way. 00:13:37.25\00:13:39.18 I'm not, you know, in the same lifestyle 00:13:39.21\00:13:41.18 that I used to be and all of this other stuff. 00:13:41.22\00:13:44.02 But are you pursuing godliness? 00:13:44.05\00:13:45.72 Are you pursuing righteousness? 00:13:45.75\00:13:47.29 Are you pursuing faith? 00:13:47.32\00:13:48.66 Are you pursuing love, patience and gentleness? 00:13:48.69\00:13:51.33 So like that, I mean, when I read that verse, 00:13:51.36\00:13:54.06 I was just like, huh, 00:13:54.10\00:13:55.86 that's not just flee these things. 00:13:55.90\00:13:58.43 But now the second part of that is crucial as well. 00:13:58.47\00:14:01.80 I love that. 00:14:01.84\00:14:03.17 Yeah, that's awesome, 00:14:03.20\00:14:04.54 glad you highlighted that, pursue it. 00:14:04.57\00:14:06.34 Because a lot of people would think 00:14:06.37\00:14:07.71 that that is a work's approach to salvation, 00:14:07.74\00:14:10.65 you know, because many people have this idea 00:14:10.68\00:14:12.01 that, you know, I'm already saved, 00:14:12.05\00:14:13.62 I gave my heart to the Lord. 00:14:13.65\00:14:14.98 So, you know, this righteousness 00:14:15.02\00:14:16.95 just comes naturally, right? 00:14:16.99\00:14:18.75 But yet, we find in many aspects of the Scripture 00:14:18.79\00:14:21.16 and including this particular verse 00:14:21.19\00:14:22.69 in 1 Timothy 6:11, 00:14:22.72\00:14:25.09 pursue these things, 00:14:25.13\00:14:26.46 that means there's an active condition on our part, 00:14:26.49\00:14:29.53 that we have to do something, right? 00:14:29.56\00:14:31.10 So, you know, we can't just be expecting God 00:14:31.13\00:14:33.17 to just show up and show out 00:14:33.20\00:14:34.60 and do all of the work even though we understand 00:14:34.64\00:14:37.07 that, you know, He does the completed work in us. 00:14:37.11\00:14:39.64 We don't work in and of ourselves 00:14:39.67\00:14:41.44 to change ourselves because that's impossible. 00:14:41.48\00:14:43.88 It is fully 100% His work, 00:14:43.91\00:14:45.61 but there is an activeness on our side 00:14:45.65\00:14:48.38 in which we have to pursue it. 00:14:48.42\00:14:49.92 In other words, we have to surrender our will to His. 00:14:49.95\00:14:52.72 And I believe that's what that's talking about here. 00:14:52.75\00:14:54.52 Pursuing righteousness, godliness, faith, love, 00:14:54.56\00:14:56.83 patience, gentleness, 00:14:56.86\00:14:58.19 all of which I can't create in and of my own self, 00:14:58.23\00:15:00.73 but He can do it in me as I surrender my will to Him. 00:15:00.76\00:15:03.87 I know that's a lot to think about. 00:15:03.90\00:15:05.23 But it's powerful to know that all I have to do is say, 00:15:05.27\00:15:08.47 Lord, I'm gonna hit the surrender button, 00:15:08.50\00:15:10.94 because I can't do this, Lord, You're gonna do it in me. 00:15:10.97\00:15:13.21 But he says, you know, 00:15:13.24\00:15:14.58 as you still have to step out in faith and say, "Okay. 00:15:14.61\00:15:16.78 Lord, I'm going to pursue you." 00:15:16.81\00:15:18.51 You know, I remember when I was... 00:15:18.55\00:15:19.98 when I was date... 00:15:20.02\00:15:21.35 when I was wanting to date my wife, 00:15:21.38\00:15:22.75 this was before we were together, 00:15:22.78\00:15:24.39 but I was really, really... 00:15:24.42\00:15:26.22 I really liked her. 00:15:26.25\00:15:27.59 You know, I didn't go home and be like, 00:15:27.62\00:15:29.52 you know, "hey, she likes me. 00:15:29.56\00:15:31.13 She gonna call me." You know! 00:15:31.16\00:15:32.89 No, that's not how that worked, right? 00:15:32.93\00:15:35.10 I pursued her. 00:15:35.13\00:15:36.77 I made sure that, you know what, 00:15:36.80\00:15:38.13 if this girl likes me and I like her, 00:15:38.17\00:15:39.80 you know, this seems to be the type of girl at the time, 00:15:39.83\00:15:43.27 you know, she was 14, I was 16. 00:15:43.30\00:15:45.31 I know, it's kind of that early puppy stage love, 00:15:45.34\00:15:47.71 but nonetheless, 00:15:47.74\00:15:49.08 I saw qualities in her that I liked. 00:15:49.11\00:15:50.65 And I thought, "Man, 00:15:50.68\00:15:52.01 this is the girl I want to be with." 00:15:52.05\00:15:53.38 But I didn't take this, 00:15:53.42\00:15:54.75 you know, relax, sit back and just let things happen. 00:15:54.78\00:15:56.99 No, no, no, I was out there pursuing, 00:15:57.02\00:15:58.35 I was calling her, 00:15:58.39\00:15:59.72 I was texting her out, I was emailing her. 00:15:59.75\00:16:01.62 Every chance I got, 00:16:01.66\00:16:02.99 I was in my truck going and visiting her. 00:16:03.02\00:16:05.09 I have heard her family was out at the baseball field, 00:16:05.13\00:16:07.20 I was out at the baseball field. 00:16:07.23\00:16:08.76 If they were out at the races, I was out at the races 00:16:08.80\00:16:11.27 because I wanted to have a relationship with this girl. 00:16:11.30\00:16:14.34 And that's no different than us as men, right? 00:16:14.37\00:16:17.11 You know, we want that perfect woman in our life 00:16:17.14\00:16:20.84 that God has for us. 00:16:20.88\00:16:22.91 But more than that, before that can work, 00:16:22.94\00:16:25.45 we have to have a relationship with God. 00:16:25.48\00:16:27.45 And is that relationship with God any different, 00:16:27.48\00:16:29.35 should we pursue Him? 00:16:29.38\00:16:30.72 Absolutely. 00:16:30.75\00:16:32.09 He's wooing us. Yeah. 00:16:32.12\00:16:33.46 But are we responding to that wooing? 00:16:33.49\00:16:35.16 Right? That's powerful. 00:16:35.19\00:16:36.79 That's a powerful point. Jay, Micah 6:8. 00:16:36.83\00:16:39.43 All right, "He has shown you, O man, what is good. 00:16:39.46\00:16:43.16 And what does the Lord require of you, 00:16:43.20\00:16:45.00 but to do justly, 00:16:45.03\00:16:46.37 to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." 00:16:46.40\00:16:48.94 Hmm. I like that. 00:16:48.97\00:16:51.17 What does the Lord require of you, but to do justly? 00:16:51.21\00:16:54.88 What do you think? 00:16:54.91\00:16:56.24 What do you guys think that means to do justly? 00:16:56.28\00:16:58.68 To be fair. 00:16:58.71\00:17:00.05 To operate with integrity. 00:17:00.08\00:17:01.68 To, you know, treat people justly. 00:17:01.72\00:17:06.82 And treat everyone fairly. 00:17:06.86\00:17:08.26 Hmm. 00:17:08.29\00:17:09.62 I think we're gonna see this next one come up quite a bit 00:17:09.66\00:17:11.56 where it says here at the end of that verse 00:17:11.59\00:17:13.36 to walk humbly with your God. 00:17:13.40\00:17:14.96 Hmm. Hmm. 00:17:15.00\00:17:16.33 Humility, is that a key factor in being a man of the Lord? 00:17:16.36\00:17:18.30 Absolutely. 00:17:18.33\00:17:19.67 You were talking about surrendering. 00:17:19.70\00:17:21.04 It takes humility to surrender certain things in your life. 00:17:21.07\00:17:25.07 And so, yeah, definitely that is one major part 00:17:25.11\00:17:29.18 of being a man of God. 00:17:29.21\00:17:30.55 You said it takes humility. 00:17:30.58\00:17:31.91 There's another story just popped in my mind. 00:17:31.95\00:17:33.95 Uh-oh! 00:17:33.98\00:17:35.32 I'm gonna tell off Dakota a little bit here. 00:17:35.35\00:17:37.32 So there was an incident, when we were younger, 00:17:37.35\00:17:40.42 we were really into wrestling. 00:17:40.46\00:17:43.32 And so we would whether it was on the trampoline 00:17:43.36\00:17:46.33 or is in our bedroom, my mom and dad was looking 00:17:46.36\00:17:48.46 because they didn't want us wrestling on the bed. 00:17:48.50\00:17:50.47 But one day me and Dakota 00:17:50.50\00:17:51.90 got in this battle with each other 00:17:51.93\00:17:53.54 and, you know, we're slamming each other 00:17:53.57\00:17:55.54 and putting each other 00:17:55.57\00:17:56.91 and like choke holds and submission moves. 00:17:56.94\00:17:59.01 Well, this particular day I'll never forget, 00:17:59.04\00:18:02.14 I felt so bad because I'm getting... 00:18:02.18\00:18:03.51 I'm five, I'm five, I'm nearly five years older than he is. 00:18:03.55\00:18:06.01 And one of it, you know, 00:18:06.05\00:18:07.38 I was always much bigger than him. 00:18:07.42\00:18:08.75 So one day we're in the wrestling 00:18:08.78\00:18:10.12 and I put him in this arm bar 00:18:10.15\00:18:13.05 and I've got him locked down in this arm bar 00:18:13.09\00:18:15.66 and I grabbed his wrist and I'm bending his wrist 00:18:15.69\00:18:18.33 and I'm telling him tap out, surrender, give up, you know. 00:18:18.36\00:18:22.76 I'm really pressing it. 00:18:22.80\00:18:24.30 Dakota was so stubborn. 00:18:24.33\00:18:27.10 He's over there going, "No, no, I'm not." 00:18:27.14\00:18:29.44 I'm like, "Tap out, tap out." 00:18:29.47\00:18:30.87 Well, I'm also so stubborn as well. 00:18:30.91\00:18:32.84 Then we were kids and literally have Jesus in our heart 00:18:32.87\00:18:35.34 and we're just being too unreal little kids. 00:18:35.38\00:18:37.35 But I started bending that arm a little bit more, 00:18:37.38\00:18:39.35 a little bit more because I'm thinking 00:18:39.38\00:18:40.72 the pain is going to cause him to surrender. 00:18:40.75\00:18:45.09 Now, he was hard headed. 00:18:45.12\00:18:47.12 He allowed me to break his wrist. 00:18:47.16\00:18:49.59 Oh! Wow! 00:18:49.62\00:18:51.83 I heard it snap. 00:18:51.86\00:18:53.96 And, of course, he immediately starts 00:18:54.00\00:18:55.83 you know writhing in pain, 00:18:55.86\00:18:57.20 but I've used that not to tell 00:18:57.23\00:18:58.90 that because Dakota is good man. 00:18:58.93\00:19:00.27 Well, we all know who's gonna make it in the end. 00:19:00.30\00:19:03.20 Torture me, I ain't giving up. 00:19:03.24\00:19:04.61 There we go. 00:19:08.41\00:19:09.91 Yeah, that's a spiritual application there, 00:19:09.94\00:19:11.51 you know, time of trouble. 00:19:11.55\00:19:12.91 Anyways, but it's interesting that, you know, 00:19:12.95\00:19:15.08 I just pulled from an illustration 00:19:15.12\00:19:17.12 that, you know, a lot of times 00:19:17.15\00:19:18.49 that's how we are with the Lord. 00:19:18.52\00:19:19.85 The Lord is wanting us to surrender. 00:19:19.89\00:19:21.32 And the wonderful thing about the Lord is, 00:19:21.36\00:19:22.72 He doesn't force us. 00:19:22.76\00:19:24.09 I was forcing Dakota, 00:19:24.13\00:19:25.46 I was trying to force him to surrender 00:19:25.49\00:19:27.30 by locking that wrist in 00:19:27.33\00:19:28.70 and it ended up snapping and breaking his wrist. 00:19:28.73\00:19:31.03 And, but the Lord doesn't snap us. 00:19:31.07\00:19:32.63 He doesn't break us unless we need broken, 00:19:32.67\00:19:35.54 but He does it with our consent 00:19:35.57\00:19:37.57 and we have to surrender to Him. 00:19:37.61\00:19:39.14 And that's one of the most important things. 00:19:39.17\00:19:40.51 I like that comment, Ben, that you made. 00:19:40.54\00:19:41.94 We have to surrender. 00:19:41.98\00:19:43.31 Our friend Jordan Ryan, he makes a statement. 00:19:43.35\00:19:45.21 He made a statement one time to me he said, "Dakota," 00:19:45.25\00:19:46.92 he said, you know, "We need to humble ourselves before God 00:19:46.95\00:19:49.02 because if God has to humble us, 00:19:49.05\00:19:50.55 He's not going to use anesthesia. 00:19:50.59\00:19:53.19 I got you. All right. 00:19:53.22\00:19:54.56 So being able to, 00:19:54.59\00:19:55.92 you know, understand the character of Christ 00:19:55.96\00:19:57.63 in relation to His Word and who He is, 00:19:57.66\00:20:00.50 if we let the rock fall on us... 00:20:00.53\00:20:01.93 Oh, I like that. 00:20:01.96\00:20:03.30 The Master Potter can always mold us 00:20:03.33\00:20:06.27 and put us back, right? 00:20:06.30\00:20:07.87 But, or rather, if we follow the rock... 00:20:07.90\00:20:09.64 There it is. 00:20:09.67\00:20:11.01 There it is, I got it backwards my bad. 00:20:11.04\00:20:12.44 So if we fall on the rock, 00:20:12.47\00:20:13.81 the Master Potter can mold us in. 00:20:13.84\00:20:15.18 But if He falls on us, like in Daniel Chapter 2, 00:20:15.21\00:20:17.68 He will grind us to powder. 00:20:17.71\00:20:19.48 And we have to understand that, Christ is... 00:20:19.51\00:20:22.58 that's not Christ's purpose. 00:20:22.62\00:20:23.95 He's not wanting to, you know, break us and all of that, 00:20:23.99\00:20:26.19 but we are broken already really. 00:20:26.22\00:20:28.79 We were born into a sinful world 00:20:28.82\00:20:30.23 that is and we're totally without God, 00:20:30.26\00:20:33.70 you know, into this world. 00:20:33.73\00:20:35.06 And so we have to humble ourselves, 00:20:35.10\00:20:36.73 you know, the first step in the sanctuary 00:20:36.77\00:20:38.83 was you had to bring your lamb right to the sanctuary. 00:20:38.87\00:20:42.40 In other words, you had to admit, I'm a sinner. 00:20:42.44\00:20:45.07 I'm messed up, and I need saving. 00:20:45.11\00:20:48.18 And only the lamb can do that for me. 00:20:48.21\00:20:49.58 Wow! 00:20:49.61\00:20:50.95 That's the first step to salvation. 00:20:50.98\00:20:52.31 You have to accept the sacrifice of Jesus. 00:20:52.35\00:20:54.12 Yeah. That's powerful, yeah. 00:20:54.15\00:20:55.92 Yeah. 00:20:55.95\00:20:57.29 I was gonna say something. 00:20:57.32\00:20:59.42 When we were talking about surrendering 00:20:59.45\00:21:00.79 and stuff I was thinking about how, 00:21:00.82\00:21:02.82 when you're a man of God you reflect, again, 00:21:02.86\00:21:05.53 you reflect the character of God. 00:21:05.56\00:21:07.56 And so God is just, 00:21:07.60\00:21:08.93 God is merciful and He is humble, 00:21:08.96\00:21:11.07 you know, He is the ultimate. 00:21:11.10\00:21:13.30 But I was thinking about something 00:21:13.34\00:21:15.47 that Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13, 00:21:15.50\00:21:17.87 where he talks about love 00:21:17.91\00:21:19.67 and we know according to 1 John 4:8 that God is love. 00:21:19.71\00:21:24.25 So if we're reflecting God, 00:21:24.28\00:21:25.61 we're gonna reflect the way He loves and the way He loves. 00:21:25.65\00:21:28.08 His love suffers long which means patient is kind. 00:21:28.12\00:21:32.35 Love does not envy. 00:21:32.39\00:21:33.82 Love does not parade itself, it's not puffed up, 00:21:33.86\00:21:36.52 does not pay rudely, does not seek its own. 00:21:36.56\00:21:38.83 So, what I see Paul's getting at here is, 00:21:38.86\00:21:41.50 if you're a man of God, 00:21:41.53\00:21:42.86 the way you're going to love is going to look different 00:21:42.90\00:21:44.40 than the way that everybody else loves. 00:21:44.43\00:21:46.30 Jesus even put this point in Luke, 00:21:46.33\00:21:49.44 I believe Luke 6:26-35, 00:21:49.47\00:21:53.24 where he talks about and it's also in Matthew 5, 00:21:53.27\00:21:56.01 where he talks about how if we love 00:21:56.04\00:22:00.15 who we love or who loves us, 00:22:00.18\00:22:02.22 then we're no better than the tax collectors 00:22:02.25\00:22:03.72 and sinners. 00:22:03.75\00:22:05.09 And so, the way that Jesus loved 00:22:05.12\00:22:07.32 is the way that we need to love as well. 00:22:07.36\00:22:09.19 And that means that when we love people, 00:22:09.22\00:22:11.76 we are going to be fair to them. 00:22:11.79\00:22:15.00 We're going to be merciful, and we're going to be humble, 00:22:15.03\00:22:17.20 because we're not going to want to... 00:22:17.23\00:22:18.70 Because, again, we're not going to pray it ourselves. 00:22:18.73\00:22:20.57 We're not going to be all prideful 00:22:20.60\00:22:23.07 and full of ourselves 00:22:23.10\00:22:24.44 just hopped up on our own amazingness. 00:22:24.47\00:22:27.34 But we're also going to be righteous 00:22:27.38\00:22:28.71 because that's what Paul says here in verse 6, he says, 00:22:28.74\00:22:31.21 "Does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoice in the truth." 00:22:31.25\00:22:34.02 Right. 00:22:34.05\00:22:35.38 And so, this kind of love that Paul reflects 00:22:35.42\00:22:39.55 is the same love that God gives 00:22:39.59\00:22:41.12 because when you look in the Greek, 00:22:41.16\00:22:42.89 the love here, it's agape, 00:22:42.92\00:22:44.99 and that's the love that God expresses towards us 00:22:45.03\00:22:47.06 and towards the other members of the Trinity. 00:22:47.10\00:22:48.43 Right. 00:22:48.46\00:22:49.80 And it's powerful that God bears an unconditional love. 00:22:49.83\00:22:51.17 That's right. 00:22:51.20\00:22:52.53 God loves us abundantly no matter what. 00:22:52.57\00:22:54.40 We've got that, you know, as Peter would say, 00:22:54.44\00:22:56.20 when Christ asked him, you know, do you agape me? 00:22:56.24\00:22:59.51 But Peter responded with the Greek word phileo, 00:22:59.54\00:23:02.44 I phileo you, which is, 00:23:02.48\00:23:03.81 you know, I'm fond of you Jesus, 00:23:03.85\00:23:05.18 you know, I know who You are, but I don't really know You, 00:23:05.21\00:23:07.65 you know, I love you as a brother, 00:23:07.68\00:23:09.52 kind of as a bro, 00:23:09.55\00:23:10.89 but I don't really love, you know, 00:23:10.92\00:23:12.52 that's why he responded, 00:23:12.55\00:23:13.89 you know all things, you know me and God knows us. 00:23:13.92\00:23:16.32 God knows us individually. 00:23:16.36\00:23:17.99 We want to be men of God, 00:23:18.03\00:23:19.56 but in order to be a man of God, 00:23:19.59\00:23:21.70 we've got to learn how to love how God loves and I like that. 00:23:21.73\00:23:24.97 It was a wonderful point there that you made, CJ. 00:23:25.00\00:23:28.40 CJ, while you read it, Proverbs 5:1. 00:23:28.44\00:23:31.64 Read that one for us there. 00:23:31.67\00:23:33.01 Okay. 00:23:33.04\00:23:34.38 "My son, pay attention to my wisdom, 00:23:34.41\00:23:36.21 lend your ear to my understanding." 00:23:36.24\00:23:38.65 My son and daughter, we can include that there, 00:23:38.68\00:23:43.32 pay attention to my wisdom. 00:23:43.35\00:23:45.15 Yep. 00:23:45.19\00:23:47.26 Is wisdom important? 00:23:47.29\00:23:48.62 Oh, 100%. Absolutely. 00:23:48.66\00:23:49.99 And most of us, you know, 00:23:50.03\00:23:51.36 I'm gonna be a little critical of this panel here for a moment 00:23:51.39\00:23:54.73 because we're all relatively young guys, right? 00:23:54.76\00:23:57.10 We still got a lot to learn. 00:23:57.13\00:23:58.53 So we don't want to be, 00:23:58.57\00:23:59.90 you know, thinking that we've got room to grow, 00:23:59.93\00:24:02.10 I know I have room to grow and that's why I love, 00:24:02.14\00:24:05.54 you know, being around, 00:24:05.57\00:24:07.54 you know, some of my older friends in Christ 00:24:07.58\00:24:11.68 because of the experience 00:24:11.71\00:24:13.05 and I'm so blessed to be around Pastor Lomacang here 00:24:13.08\00:24:15.68 and Brother JD Quinn, 00:24:15.72\00:24:18.15 and, you know, Shelley and Danny 00:24:18.19\00:24:20.59 and all of these wonderful people 00:24:20.62\00:24:22.72 that I can glean from and learn from 00:24:22.76\00:24:24.36 because there's wisdom there 00:24:24.39\00:24:25.89 but more than the wisdom of man, 00:24:25.93\00:24:28.13 which we learn that wisdom from experience, 00:24:28.16\00:24:30.33 we learn that wisdom over time, God is saying to us, 00:24:30.37\00:24:33.64 He says, "You know what, pay attention to My wisdom." 00:24:33.67\00:24:36.57 My wisdom is what counts, right? 00:24:36.60\00:24:38.57 "Lend your ear to My understanding." 00:24:38.61\00:24:41.21 There's a scripture that says, I think it's in Proverbs 14... 00:24:41.24\00:24:45.61 14:36 I believe that says, there is a way which... 00:24:45.65\00:24:49.12 14:12, that's what it is, Proverbs 14:12. 00:24:49.15\00:24:52.85 "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, 00:24:52.89\00:24:55.19 but the end thereof are the ways of death." 00:24:55.22\00:24:57.33 Sometimes do we allow our own wisdom, 00:24:57.36\00:25:00.46 our own personal understanding get in the way? 00:25:00.50\00:25:03.73 Oh, yeah. I think that's the case, right? 00:25:03.77\00:25:05.23 You know, Ryan, a lot of times people, 00:25:05.27\00:25:07.17 they make the mistake of not understanding 00:25:07.20\00:25:09.10 the difference between knowledge and wisdom. 00:25:09.14\00:25:11.44 A lot of people think that knowledge is wisdom, 00:25:11.47\00:25:13.64 but knowledge is not wisdom. 00:25:13.68\00:25:15.54 Wisdom is the application of knowledge. 00:25:15.58\00:25:17.78 Come on now. I like it. 00:25:17.81\00:25:19.15 And so, and so when Jesus is saying, 00:25:19.18\00:25:20.65 pay attention to My wisdom, He is saying, 00:25:20.68\00:25:22.85 pay attention to how I live my life, 00:25:22.88\00:25:24.75 how I do things is what I do, not just what I profess, right? 00:25:24.79\00:25:28.92 Because talk is cheap. 00:25:28.96\00:25:30.29 Ooh, that's right. 00:25:30.33\00:25:31.66 Talk is too cheap. 00:25:31.69\00:25:33.03 True. That's right. 00:25:33.06\00:25:34.40 I want to share this with, I love that. 00:25:34.43\00:25:37.90 This is Proverbs Chapter 3. 00:25:37.93\00:25:39.47 It's kind of long, but verses 1-9. 00:25:39.50\00:25:42.10 I'll read it rather quickly. 00:25:42.14\00:25:44.07 Go ahead, Brother. 00:25:44.11\00:25:45.44 "My son, do not forget my law, 00:25:45.47\00:25:47.34 but let your heart keep my commands, 00:25:47.38\00:25:49.38 for length of days and long life and peace 00:25:49.41\00:25:52.48 they will add to you. 00:25:52.51\00:25:53.92 Let not mercy and truth forsake you, 00:25:53.95\00:25:56.28 bind them around your neck, 00:25:56.32\00:25:58.15 write them on the tablet of your heart, 00:25:58.19\00:26:00.76 and so find favor and high esteem 00:26:00.79\00:26:02.82 in the sight of God and man. 00:26:02.86\00:26:05.03 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, 00:26:05.06\00:26:06.80 and lean not on your own understanding. 00:26:06.83\00:26:09.50 In all your ways acknowledge Him, 00:26:09.53\00:26:10.93 and He shall direct your paths. 00:26:10.97\00:26:13.17 Do not be wise in your own eyes, 00:26:13.20\00:26:16.71 fear the Lord and depart from evil. 00:26:16.74\00:26:19.24 It will be health to your flesh, 00:26:19.27\00:26:20.98 and strength to your bones. 00:26:21.01\00:26:22.51 Honor the Lord with your possessions, 00:26:22.54\00:26:24.95 and with the first fruits of all your increase." 00:26:24.98\00:26:28.88 All right. Yeah. 00:26:28.92\00:26:30.25 I think that highlights what we just read very well, 00:26:30.29\00:26:32.15 you know, pay attention to my wisdom. 00:26:32.19\00:26:34.09 And what does that say there in verse 6, I think, 00:26:34.12\00:26:36.69 "In all your ways acknowledge Him." 00:26:36.73\00:26:38.19 Yes. All right. 00:26:38.23\00:26:40.10 "Lend your ear to my understanding, 00:26:40.13\00:26:41.90 trust in the Lord with all your heart, 00:26:41.93\00:26:43.26 lean not on your own understanding." 00:26:43.30\00:26:45.33 That's one of those famous passages. 00:26:45.37\00:26:47.00 But yet, I mean, sometimes we fall short of that, right? 00:26:47.04\00:26:50.34 Yes. 00:26:50.37\00:26:51.71 And, you know, that's one of the challenges 00:26:51.74\00:26:53.07 of being a young man in ministry 00:26:53.11\00:26:55.18 is sometimes we were so... 00:26:55.21\00:26:57.65 I know sometimes I get caught up in this. 00:26:57.68\00:26:59.01 I'm so on fire and so excited 00:26:59.05\00:27:01.18 that, you know, sometimes I feel like, 00:27:01.22\00:27:04.02 "Man, I've really thought this through and I've got it," 00:27:04.05\00:27:06.35 and then somebody like JD or Pastor Lomacang 00:27:06.39\00:27:08.62 will come along and dial in that thinking, 00:27:08.66\00:27:10.69 and I'm like, "Oh, yeah, that make, that's it, 00:27:10.73\00:27:12.76 makes a little bit more sense what I was thinking." 00:27:12.79\00:27:14.76 You know, what are... 00:27:14.80\00:27:16.13 Let me just toss this out there for a moment. 00:27:16.16\00:27:17.93 What are some of the challenges 00:27:17.97\00:27:20.07 that, you know, we're all young here, 00:27:20.10\00:27:22.40 what are some of the challenges 00:27:22.44\00:27:23.77 that young men perhaps might have in ministry? 00:27:23.81\00:27:25.71 We're all in some type of ministry. 00:27:25.74\00:27:27.61 So what are some of the challenges 00:27:27.64\00:27:29.01 that a young man might face in ministry 00:27:29.04\00:27:31.48 and growing into that man of God persona? 00:27:31.51\00:27:36.58 I think it depends on what role we're in the ministry. 00:27:36.62\00:27:41.86 But I think if we are in a high role, 00:27:41.89\00:27:47.50 then we have to really worry about our own ego. 00:27:47.53\00:27:51.97 We have to worry about our own self 00:27:52.00\00:27:53.57 because we think that we're in this high position, 00:27:53.60\00:27:56.84 we're in this important position 00:27:56.87\00:27:59.47 of maybe having authority over others. 00:27:59.51\00:28:01.98 We have to be careful 00:28:02.01\00:28:03.35 and not allow that to cloud our thinking. 00:28:03.38\00:28:07.12 Because in that point, 00:28:07.15\00:28:08.48 we're going to think that we think 00:28:08.52\00:28:10.55 that we have this wisdom from God, 00:28:10.59\00:28:12.95 we know how to do everything. 00:28:12.99\00:28:15.12 But if we're not constantly seeking God, you know, 00:28:15.16\00:28:17.56 like what Solomon says here in 5 and 6 00:28:17.59\00:28:20.06 that this is the most commonly quoted verse, 00:28:20.10\00:28:23.33 I think out of any of the things 00:28:23.37\00:28:25.50 in Proverbs. 00:28:25.53\00:28:26.87 "Trust in Lord with all your heart 00:28:26.90\00:28:28.24 and lean not on your own understanding." 00:28:28.27\00:28:30.61 God is trying to get at that, 00:28:30.64\00:28:32.77 when we try to trust our own hearts. 00:28:32.81\00:28:36.44 We know that Jeremiah says in 17:9, 00:28:36.48\00:28:38.58 that the heart is deceitful above all things 00:28:38.61\00:28:41.22 and desperately wicked: who can know it? 00:28:41.25\00:28:43.25 So God is saying, 00:28:43.28\00:28:44.62 instead of trusting your own heart, 00:28:44.65\00:28:45.99 which is easily swayed, 00:28:46.02\00:28:47.36 because it's also the seed of the emotions, 00:28:47.39\00:28:49.26 instead of trusting your own wisdom, 00:28:49.29\00:28:51.03 which is very faulty, 00:28:51.06\00:28:52.69 for even the Bible says that the foolishness of God 00:28:52.73\00:28:56.00 is even better than the wisdom of man. 00:28:56.03\00:28:58.13 Think I butchered that a little bit 00:28:58.17\00:29:00.14 but the whole point is especially when he says, 00:29:00.17\00:29:03.67 "Do not be wise in your own eyes," 00:29:03.71\00:29:05.07 because when we're wise in our own eyes, 00:29:05.11\00:29:08.11 we think we can figure out anything 00:29:08.14\00:29:10.55 and we end up falling flat on our face. 00:29:10.58\00:29:13.25 And that's why I love that verse in and I just, 00:29:13.28\00:29:16.18 this verse just keeps popping up a lot for me. 00:29:16.22\00:29:19.39 In Proverbs 24:16, 00:29:19.42\00:29:22.49 "A righteous man may fall seven times 00:29:22.52\00:29:25.09 and rise back up." 00:29:25.13\00:29:26.73 And then it talks about the wicked, 00:29:26.76\00:29:28.10 but the righteous may fail, he may fall 00:29:28.13\00:29:32.43 but if he's putting his trust 00:29:32.47\00:29:34.04 and acknowledging God in everything that he does, 00:29:34.07\00:29:36.77 then he'll get back up. 00:29:36.81\00:29:38.14 God will give him the strength to rise again, 00:29:38.17\00:29:40.24 and learn from his mistakes 00:29:40.28\00:29:41.61 and not just wallow in his own foolishness. 00:29:41.64\00:29:46.31 Right. Right. That's great. What do you think? 00:29:46.35\00:29:48.25 I think something to keep in mind as well 00:29:48.28\00:29:50.19 as not only our ego 00:29:50.22\00:29:51.55 and this kind of goes in with the ego thing, 00:29:51.59\00:29:53.09 but our motives. 00:29:53.12\00:29:54.72 Why are we in ministry in the first place? 00:29:54.76\00:29:58.09 I even know like one of my own personal struggles, 00:29:58.13\00:30:00.96 especially being like, 00:30:01.00\00:30:02.66 you know, leading worship or whatever, sometimes, 00:30:02.70\00:30:05.37 you know, and it's of course, 00:30:05.40\00:30:07.14 a good thing to encourage people 00:30:07.17\00:30:08.87 and give them compliments and whatever, 00:30:08.90\00:30:10.24 but sometimes the compliments can give you an ego, right? 00:30:10.27\00:30:15.88 And it can change your motive 00:30:15.91\00:30:18.08 as to why you're in the ministry 00:30:18.11\00:30:19.58 in the first place. 00:30:19.61\00:30:20.95 So I think one of the things to keep in mind going with ego 00:30:20.98\00:30:23.39 is why are we in ministry 00:30:23.42\00:30:25.12 and how to keep that in check as well. 00:30:25.15\00:30:26.65 Absolutely. That's a great point. 00:30:26.69\00:30:28.59 You're saying that just brings up... 00:30:28.62\00:30:30.06 I was just sharing this with someone 00:30:30.09\00:30:31.69 just the other day. 00:30:31.73\00:30:33.76 You know, I came from a performance background. 00:30:33.80\00:30:35.60 So I, you know, I was in musical performance 00:30:35.63\00:30:39.53 and, you know, I was the person out there 00:30:39.57\00:30:41.64 doing DJing on the weekends, and playing music, but not... 00:30:41.67\00:30:45.07 I wasn't your average DJ, 00:30:45.11\00:30:46.44 I actually would go out on the floor 00:30:46.47\00:30:49.21 with the people who were dancing, 00:30:49.24\00:30:50.68 who I was playing music with, 00:30:50.71\00:30:52.05 and I would lead them out in these, 00:30:52.08\00:30:54.25 you know, guided dance moves and different things, 00:30:54.28\00:30:56.55 and I would also perform and sing and dance 00:30:56.58\00:30:58.72 and people paid me to come do special gigs 00:30:58.75\00:31:00.92 and parties and things. 00:31:00.96\00:31:02.29 And, you know, I've won several competitions 00:31:02.32\00:31:04.79 and that drove me that 00:31:04.83\00:31:06.36 because that was before my time with Christ. 00:31:06.39\00:31:08.70 I learned that, you know, I fed off of that debt, 00:31:08.73\00:31:11.57 it was almost like an addiction. 00:31:11.60\00:31:13.60 Every time somebody would clap for me, whoo-hoo, 00:31:13.64\00:31:15.60 you know, whistle, you know, it's just like, 00:31:15.64\00:31:17.94 yeah, yeah, it re-instilled, man, 00:31:17.97\00:31:19.31 I'm really great, I'm really good. 00:31:19.34\00:31:20.68 But when God got my heart, it's like, 00:31:20.71\00:31:23.71 it's kind of like Isaiah's experience, 00:31:23.75\00:31:25.61 you know, he comes into the court of the Lord. 00:31:25.65\00:31:27.08 He sees God high and lifted up, 00:31:27.12\00:31:28.65 he sees His righteousness 00:31:28.68\00:31:30.02 and then he immediately sees his unrighteousness 00:31:30.05\00:31:31.79 and what was his response? 00:31:31.82\00:31:33.15 Woe is me. 00:31:33.19\00:31:34.52 Woe is me, for I am. 00:31:34.56\00:31:35.89 He began to see his sin. 00:31:35.92\00:31:37.39 When I came to the Lord, I begin to see "Man, Lord, 00:31:37.43\00:31:40.26 I'm none, I'm nobody," 00:31:40.30\00:31:42.00 you know, I kind of felt like Jesus, 00:31:42.03\00:31:43.37 you know, there in Psalm 22, I'm a worm and no man, right? 00:31:43.40\00:31:47.14 But when God gets your heart, He begins to humble you, 00:31:47.17\00:31:49.70 He begins to show you who you really are. 00:31:49.74\00:31:52.41 And that's why even, you know, as I'm so blessed and honored 00:31:52.44\00:31:55.64 to be able to sing for the Lord today in ministry. 00:31:55.68\00:31:58.88 People don't realize... 00:31:58.91\00:32:00.25 And I understand people mean well, 00:32:00.28\00:32:02.05 and this is a lesson for even the viewers at home, 00:32:02.08\00:32:04.05 and this goes for anybody, 00:32:04.09\00:32:05.42 whether it's a pastor, whether it's... 00:32:05.45\00:32:06.79 It doesn't matter what position, 00:32:06.82\00:32:08.19 we have to be careful 00:32:08.22\00:32:09.56 that in giving praise and glory about someone, 00:32:09.59\00:32:12.96 we give that to God on behalf of that person. 00:32:12.99\00:32:15.56 In other words, 00:32:15.60\00:32:16.93 I would much rather hear someone come to me 00:32:16.97\00:32:18.40 and say, "Man, Brother Ryan, 00:32:18.43\00:32:19.90 praise God for the voice that God has given you. 00:32:19.93\00:32:22.54 Praise God for that song that He blessed you with 00:32:22.57\00:32:24.77 rather than, oh, you know, your voice is so amazing. 00:32:24.81\00:32:27.28 I'm very thankful that someone thinks that of me 00:32:27.31\00:32:30.18 and I'm very, you know, again, I'm very humbled by the fact 00:32:30.21\00:32:32.71 that, you know, I know God has given me a wonderful gift 00:32:32.75\00:32:35.18 and I cherish that. 00:32:35.22\00:32:36.95 But just the point you're adding to, 00:32:36.99\00:32:39.12 this is one of the big issues 00:32:39.15\00:32:40.89 why many so called men of God lack to truly be men of God, 00:32:40.92\00:32:45.56 because of their ego, 00:32:45.59\00:32:47.36 because they've heard so much of how great they are 00:32:47.40\00:32:50.17 and what they do that it gets to their head, 00:32:50.20\00:32:52.50 their head swells, and before you know it, 00:32:52.53\00:32:53.87 it becomes more about them than the mission. 00:32:53.90\00:32:55.97 Yep. That's right. 00:32:56.00\00:32:57.34 We all put our pants on one leg at a time. 00:32:57.37\00:32:59.21 That's right. 00:32:59.24\00:33:01.08 That's right. Absolutely, praise the Lord. 00:33:01.11\00:33:02.91 Two verses on that idea of flattering, you know, 00:33:02.94\00:33:05.31 that really convicted my heart soon as he said 00:33:05.35\00:33:07.38 that I was like, "Wow, that is a big one." 00:33:07.42\00:33:08.75 You know, and we don't think of that too oftentimes, Ben, 00:33:08.78\00:33:11.05 but... 00:33:11.09\00:33:12.42 And Job 32:21, it says, 00:33:12.45\00:33:14.62 "Let me not I pray show partiality to anyone, 00:33:14.66\00:33:18.09 nor let me flatter any man." 00:33:18.13\00:33:20.33 And then notice what Psalm 12:3 says, 00:33:20.36\00:33:22.60 this is a very, very convicting one. 00:33:22.63\00:33:24.80 "May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, 00:33:24.83\00:33:28.57 and the tongue that speaks proud things?" 00:33:28.60\00:33:31.41 And, you know, I think that 00:33:31.44\00:33:32.77 that's a smackdown point there, no doubt. 00:33:32.81\00:33:34.78 It's a really good one. Absolutely. 00:33:34.81\00:33:36.61 Who are some good examples? 00:33:36.64\00:33:38.21 I mean, when you think of the Bible, 00:33:38.25\00:33:39.58 you know, and those great Bible characters, 00:33:39.61\00:33:41.55 who were some good examples 00:33:41.58\00:33:42.92 of what it means to be a man of God? 00:33:42.95\00:33:44.35 Who comes to your mind? 00:33:44.39\00:33:45.95 I like to do things like this because I love those examples, 00:33:45.99\00:33:49.39 someone that I can relate to, 00:33:49.42\00:33:51.09 someone who really exemplifies 00:33:51.13\00:33:53.29 what it means to be like Jesus and in this case, a man of God. 00:33:53.33\00:33:55.93 So... Daniel. 00:33:55.96\00:33:57.33 Daniel, right. Okay, so Daniel, explain. 00:33:57.37\00:33:59.33 Okay, so let's look at Daniel 1. 00:33:59.37\00:34:02.44 And start in verse 4 and go to verse 8. 00:34:02.47\00:34:07.04 You said Daniel 1? Daniel 1:4-8. 00:34:07.08\00:34:10.78 And beginning in verse 4, it says, 00:34:10.81\00:34:12.58 "Young men in whom there was no blemish, 00:34:12.61\00:34:14.72 but good looking, gifted in all wisdom, 00:34:14.75\00:34:17.09 possessing knowledge and quick to understand, 00:34:17.12\00:34:19.59 who had ability to serve in the king's palace, 00:34:19.62\00:34:22.39 and whom they might teach the language 00:34:22.42\00:34:24.49 and literature of the Chaldeans. 00:34:24.53\00:34:28.20 And the king appointed for them 00:34:28.23\00:34:29.93 a daily provision of the king's delicacies 00:34:29.96\00:34:32.43 and of the wine which he drank, 00:34:32.47\00:34:34.97 and three years of training for them 00:34:35.00\00:34:36.97 so that at the end of that time, 00:34:37.01\00:34:39.01 they might serve before the king. 00:34:39.04\00:34:41.31 Now from among those of the sons of Judah 00:34:41.34\00:34:44.31 were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. 00:34:44.35\00:34:47.62 To them the chief of the eunuchs gave names. 00:34:47.65\00:34:52.02 He gave Daniel the name Belteshazzar, 00:34:52.05\00:34:54.92 to Hananiah, Shadrach, to Mishael, Meshach, 00:34:54.96\00:34:57.59 and to Azariah, Abed-nego." 00:34:57.63\00:35:00.70 And here in verse 8, 00:35:00.73\00:35:02.40 "But Daniel purposed in his heart 00:35:02.43\00:35:04.90 that he would not defile himself 00:35:04.93\00:35:07.07 with the portion of the king's delicacies, 00:35:07.10\00:35:09.14 nor with the wine which he drank, 00:35:09.17\00:35:11.07 therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs 00:35:11.11\00:35:14.88 that he might not defile himself." 00:35:14.91\00:35:17.48 So, you know, when I think of a man of God, 00:35:17.51\00:35:20.08 I think of somebody operating with integrity, 00:35:20.12\00:35:22.02 no matter what the situation, 00:35:22.05\00:35:23.59 no matter what the circumstance, 00:35:23.62\00:35:25.52 and here you have a situation where you have Shadrach, 00:35:25.55\00:35:29.16 Meshach, and Abed-nego, and Daniel and like, 00:35:29.19\00:35:31.69 they're changing their names, 00:35:31.73\00:35:34.23 they're trying to reprogram them, 00:35:34.26\00:35:36.77 you know, by introducing them to their customs, 00:35:36.80\00:35:39.10 their culture, their, you know, their delicacies 00:35:39.13\00:35:42.17 and the wine and really trying to defile them. 00:35:42.20\00:35:46.24 But Daniel said, 00:35:46.27\00:35:47.68 "No, I'm gonna purpose in my heart 00:35:47.71\00:35:51.71 that I would not defile myself." 00:35:51.75\00:35:53.72 And so when I think of a man of God, 00:35:53.75\00:35:55.55 that's what I think of, I also think of Shadrach, 00:35:55.58\00:35:58.05 Meshach and Abed-nego in the fiery furnace, 00:35:58.09\00:36:00.42 you know, they're faced with death. 00:36:00.46\00:36:02.59 And first off, you're dealing with a situation here, 00:36:02.62\00:36:05.93 where you're talking to a king. 00:36:05.96\00:36:08.20 And this king is crazy like this, this king has, 00:36:08.23\00:36:12.83 he has pride problems, ego problems, 00:36:12.87\00:36:15.74 all kinds of stuff. 00:36:15.77\00:36:17.11 He's angry, he's frustrated, all kinds of stuff. 00:36:17.14\00:36:20.51 And yet they stand up to the king and say, 00:36:20.54\00:36:23.45 "Basically, we have no need to answer you in these things, 00:36:23.48\00:36:26.31 O king as our God can deliver us, 00:36:26.35\00:36:28.58 if He does, great, and if He doesn't... 00:36:28.62\00:36:31.19 Do what you got to do. 00:36:31.22\00:36:32.55 Yeah, we still won't serve you, you know, we serve God. 00:36:32.59\00:36:36.19 That's powerful. 00:36:36.22\00:36:37.56 And so they stood up and guess who stood with them 00:36:37.59\00:36:39.96 in the midst of their trial? 00:36:40.00\00:36:41.33 Jesus came down and stood with them. 00:36:41.36\00:36:42.70 Stand up for Jesus, Jesus will stand with you. 00:36:42.73\00:36:44.40 Absolutely. Absolutely. 00:36:44.43\00:36:45.97 Daniel's a great one, what's another one? 00:36:46.00\00:36:47.37 Well, I was thinking of Joseph. 00:36:47.40\00:36:50.14 All right. 00:36:50.17\00:36:51.51 Because Joseph in the most pagan, 00:36:51.54\00:36:56.21 wicked... 00:36:56.24\00:36:59.25 One of those places where you can get 00:36:59.28\00:37:00.62 easily tempted, Egypt, 00:37:00.65\00:37:02.28 full of beautiful women just like a lot of stuff 00:37:02.32\00:37:05.95 that the world would apprise 00:37:05.99\00:37:08.22 and yet Joseph was still able to keep his integrity. 00:37:08.26\00:37:11.83 Now one of the stories 00:37:11.86\00:37:13.80 that 'cause I was looking here 00:37:13.83\00:37:16.40 for just different examples of Joseph's faithfulness, 00:37:16.43\00:37:19.13 one of them was when Joseph was approached 00:37:19.17\00:37:23.10 by Potiphar's wife to lie with him now, 00:37:23.14\00:37:26.07 if you know anything about euphemisms, 00:37:26.11\00:37:27.98 you know what that means. 00:37:28.01\00:37:29.34 So, in Genesis 39:6, 00:37:29.38\00:37:35.08 this is going to kind of go through the whole thing. 00:37:35.12\00:37:37.02 I'm not going to read the whole thing, 00:37:37.05\00:37:38.39 but this is part here. 00:37:38.42\00:37:40.69 So Genesis 39:6, 00:37:40.72\00:37:46.66 so it talks about where, 00:37:46.70\00:37:50.80 you know Joseph is now the overseer 00:37:50.83\00:37:53.03 of Potiphar's house. 00:37:53.07\00:37:54.57 So in verse 6, this is where it kind of gets started. 00:37:54.60\00:37:56.64 It says "Thus he left all that he had in Joseph's hand" 00:37:56.67\00:37:58.91 talking about Potiphar, "and he did not know 00:37:58.94\00:38:01.31 what he had expected for the bread which he ate." 00:38:01.34\00:38:05.31 Now, this is the important part 00:38:05.35\00:38:06.82 'cause this is where it gets started. 00:38:06.85\00:38:08.18 Now Joseph was handsome in form and appearance. 00:38:08.22\00:38:12.75 And so we know what happened next. 00:38:12.79\00:38:14.69 "And it came to pass after these things 00:38:14.72\00:38:17.43 that his master's wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, 00:38:17.46\00:38:22.73 and she said, 'lie with me.' 00:38:22.76\00:38:25.10 But he refused and said to his master's wife, 00:38:25.13\00:38:28.20 'Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house. 00:38:28.24\00:38:33.31 And he has committed all things that he has to my hand. 00:38:33.34\00:38:37.25 There is no one greater in this house than I 00:38:37.28\00:38:40.25 nor has he kept back anything from me 00:38:40.28\00:38:43.05 but you because you are his wife. 00:38:43.08\00:38:45.89 How then...' here's the important part. 00:38:45.92\00:38:47.82 'How then can I do this great wickedness 00:38:47.86\00:38:50.79 and sin against God.'" 00:38:50.83\00:38:54.06 So Joseph was pointing out here to his master's wife, 00:38:54.10\00:38:58.27 that to lie with you not only 00:38:58.30\00:39:00.17 would be a sin against Potiphar, 00:39:00.20\00:39:04.14 but a sin against God. 00:39:04.17\00:39:06.47 Because even though 00:39:06.51\00:39:07.84 the Ten Commandments weren't ratified, 00:39:07.88\00:39:09.21 they weren't on tables of stone. 00:39:09.24\00:39:10.95 He knew for a fact that this is not my wife. 00:39:10.98\00:39:14.18 I can't take her of my own, 00:39:14.22\00:39:15.58 God would not look favorably on me. 00:39:15.62\00:39:19.79 So he goes on. 00:39:19.82\00:39:24.29 So it says, 00:39:24.33\00:39:25.66 "So it was as she spoke to David day by day," 00:39:25.69\00:39:28.30 this was a continuous thing. 00:39:28.33\00:39:30.33 It wasn't like a one time thing, right? 00:39:30.37\00:39:32.03 No, no. 00:39:32.07\00:39:33.40 He did not heed her to lie with her or to be with her. 00:39:33.44\00:39:37.17 So what happened? 00:39:37.21\00:39:38.54 So to kind of sum it up, 00:39:38.57\00:39:41.51 she planned this idea. 00:39:41.54\00:39:44.55 I think after David... 00:39:44.58\00:39:45.91 Oh, sorry, Joseph. 00:39:45.95\00:39:47.75 Joseph refused her constantly 00:39:47.78\00:39:52.35 so she cooked up this plan after he left, 00:39:52.39\00:39:54.46 after he ran away, 00:39:54.49\00:39:55.82 that he attacked her and all that stuff, 00:39:55.86\00:39:58.16 which was a lie. 00:39:58.19\00:39:59.53 But Joseph even after that was still a man of integrity, 00:39:59.56\00:40:02.76 because he still wouldn't back down. 00:40:02.80\00:40:04.53 He wouldn't have, he would have said, "Oh, okay. 00:40:04.57\00:40:06.94 Yes, yes, I did it." 00:40:06.97\00:40:08.30 He wouldn't have lied to save his own. 00:40:08.34\00:40:10.71 Much interesting like today 00:40:10.74\00:40:12.11 because, you know, in the court systems now, 00:40:12.14\00:40:14.58 you have these, like plea deals where it's like, 00:40:14.61\00:40:16.41 you know, what, if you just say you did it. 00:40:16.44\00:40:19.95 We'll give you, you know, 00:40:19.98\00:40:21.32 we'll give you a lesser sentence. 00:40:21.35\00:40:22.68 But Joseph would have been that person to say, like, 00:40:22.72\00:40:24.12 "Look, if this, if I've got to go to prison for 25 years, 00:40:24.15\00:40:26.72 you're giving me an offer 00:40:26.76\00:40:28.09 that's only going to give me two years. 00:40:28.12\00:40:29.46 I would rather go to prison for 25 years 00:40:29.49\00:40:31.33 and tell the truth than to... 00:40:31.36\00:40:33.19 And so that does speak to the integrity 00:40:33.23\00:40:35.06 and the man of God that he was, right? 00:40:35.10\00:40:37.33 Joseph is a great example. 00:40:37.37\00:40:38.70 And that's a good example, because in the last days, 00:40:38.73\00:40:40.54 we know there is a mystery Babylon woman, 00:40:40.57\00:40:43.41 just trying to get us to lie down with her. 00:40:43.44\00:40:45.44 Oh, yes. 00:40:45.47\00:40:48.88 And we know we have to be faithful. 00:40:48.91\00:40:50.25 We don't want to lie down with this harlot woman, 00:40:50.28\00:40:53.68 because just like Joseph has said this would lose favor, 00:40:53.72\00:40:56.69 we would lose favor in the eyes of God. 00:40:56.72\00:40:58.62 And so, you know, I think, 00:40:58.65\00:41:00.72 I really do think that there the seductress power 00:41:00.76\00:41:04.99 that is spoken of women in the Bible 00:41:05.03\00:41:07.83 in relation to men has a prophetic significance 00:41:07.86\00:41:11.03 and why Jesus used a woman 00:41:11.07\00:41:13.34 to describe this seductress in the last days. 00:41:13.37\00:41:16.37 You know, we're told in Proverbs about Solomon. 00:41:16.40\00:41:19.61 Solomon had 700 wives. 00:41:19.64\00:41:21.58 Have mercy, 300 concubines, I mean, I can't imagine, 00:41:21.61\00:41:25.61 you know, that the problems that man has, 00:41:25.65\00:41:29.55 and the temptations that he had in his kingdom. 00:41:29.58\00:41:33.59 But, you know, even he said 00:41:33.62\00:41:34.96 after all those years of going away from God 00:41:34.99\00:41:37.13 and letting his wife, you know, lead him away. 00:41:37.16\00:41:39.46 That man said, he said, 00:41:39.49\00:41:41.96 "She has cast down many wounded." 00:41:42.00\00:41:44.93 Speaking of the woman, 00:41:44.97\00:41:46.33 and he talks about "Don't look in her eyes 00:41:46.37\00:41:48.74 and let her seduce you," right? 00:41:48.77\00:41:50.27 And I think speaking in these last days 00:41:50.31\00:41:52.84 related to the story of Joseph, 00:41:52.87\00:41:54.98 you know, I think men of God 00:41:55.01\00:41:56.81 are going to be tempted even by women in real life. 00:41:56.85\00:41:59.95 I mean, let's not kid ourselves. 00:41:59.98\00:42:01.32 We walk around out in public nowadays 00:42:01.35\00:42:02.68 and you see women half naked. 00:42:02.72\00:42:05.55 And we know this is a real problem 00:42:05.59\00:42:07.06 that men of God have to do like Joseph and say, 00:42:07.09\00:42:09.99 "I know that looks attractive, but we need to look away." 00:42:10.03\00:42:12.69 And you say, "This is not lawful." 00:42:12.73\00:42:14.63 And that's easier said than done. 00:42:14.66\00:42:16.16 But guess what? 00:42:16.20\00:42:17.53 We can do how many things through Christ? 00:42:17.57\00:42:18.90 All things. All things through Christ. 00:42:18.93\00:42:20.27 That's right. 00:42:20.30\00:42:21.64 I think of Caleb, you know, 00:42:21.67\00:42:23.00 we need some more Calebs, right? 00:42:23.04\00:42:24.37 That's right. 00:42:24.41\00:42:25.74 Caleb, man, I love this, Numbers 14:24, I love this. 00:42:25.77\00:42:28.48 This is again, Numbers 14:24 speaking of Caleb, 00:42:28.51\00:42:31.31 powerful point here, it says, "But my servant Caleb, 00:42:31.35\00:42:34.82 because he has a different spirit in him." 00:42:34.85\00:42:38.52 We need some men of God 00:42:38.55\00:42:40.66 that the world can see has a different spirit. 00:42:40.69\00:42:43.76 It goes on to say "Because he has a different spirit in him 00:42:43.79\00:42:45.69 and has followed me fully." 00:42:45.73\00:42:47.96 Okay, you can't go halfway with the Lord, right? 00:42:48.00\00:42:49.86 The Lord's like, "Man, 00:42:49.90\00:42:51.23 you know, I want you to have a relationship with Me, 00:42:51.27\00:42:53.54 but I need you to go all the way. 00:42:53.57\00:42:55.10 You need to be all in not just halfway not, 00:42:55.14\00:42:57.31 you know, with one leg in the world, 00:42:57.34\00:42:58.71 one leg in the church." 00:42:58.74\00:43:00.08 But again, as he says here, "Followed me fully, 00:43:00.11\00:43:02.41 I will bring into the land where he went, 00:43:02.44\00:43:04.48 and his descendants shall inherit it." 00:43:04.51\00:43:06.35 And also Joshua 14:10, 11. 00:43:06.38\00:43:09.68 Again, speaking of Caleb, 00:43:09.72\00:43:11.05 now this is powerful point as well, 00:43:11.09\00:43:12.75 because not only was Caleb a powerful man of God 00:43:12.79\00:43:16.19 in his youth, 00:43:16.22\00:43:17.56 you know, there are stories and instances 00:43:17.59\00:43:19.13 that we've all heard of, 00:43:19.16\00:43:20.50 and even stories in scripture where men start off strong, 00:43:20.53\00:43:22.73 and then they have kind of have this big, 00:43:22.76\00:43:24.27 great downfall, you know, downward spiral into, 00:43:24.30\00:43:27.34 you know, a big spiritual upset, right? 00:43:27.37\00:43:31.74 But notice what it says here in Joshua 14:10, 11, again, 00:43:31.77\00:43:34.74 speaking of Caleb, now he's 85 years old. 00:43:34.78\00:43:38.35 And notice this, brother, still going strong in the Lord. 00:43:38.38\00:43:40.95 It says, "And now behold, the Lord has kept me alive. 00:43:40.98\00:43:44.02 And he said, these 45 years 00:43:44.05\00:43:47.32 ever since the Lord spoke this word to Moses, 00:43:47.36\00:43:50.29 while Israel wandered in the wilderness, 00:43:50.33\00:43:52.49 and now here I am this day 85 years old, 00:43:52.53\00:43:56.40 and yet I am as strong this day 00:43:56.43\00:43:58.53 as on the day that Moses sent me, 00:43:58.57\00:44:00.80 just as my strength was then, 00:44:00.84\00:44:02.44 so now is my strength of war 00:44:02.47\00:44:05.57 both for going out and for coming in." 00:44:05.61\00:44:07.84 This speaks to the longevity, the spiritual longevity, 00:44:07.88\00:44:12.45 and the committed mystic Caleb was to the Lord 00:44:12.48\00:44:15.92 as both a young man 00:44:15.95\00:44:17.29 and even all the way through to his old age. 00:44:17.32\00:44:19.22 And so, I think that that's a great example. 00:44:19.25\00:44:21.12 Speaking of people who give great examples, 00:44:21.16\00:44:23.49 another one that came to my mind was David. 00:44:23.53\00:44:26.43 What about David, right? 00:44:26.46\00:44:28.16 What about David? 00:44:28.20\00:44:29.53 You know, David made his mistakes. 00:44:29.56\00:44:31.33 Big mistakes. 00:44:31.37\00:44:33.34 He made his mistakes. 00:44:33.37\00:44:36.27 And, you know, he was... 00:44:36.30\00:44:38.47 He paid for those mistakes. 00:44:38.51\00:44:40.34 But ultimately, 00:44:40.38\00:44:41.94 this man never gave up on the Lord, he persevered. 00:44:41.98\00:44:44.78 Kept moving forward. 00:44:44.81\00:44:46.15 He kept moving forward in the Lord persevered, 00:44:46.18\00:44:48.75 and ultimately received a pretty cool title. 00:44:48.78\00:44:52.39 You know, a man after God's own heart, 00:44:52.42\00:44:54.89 wouldn't we all like to be that man of God 00:44:54.92\00:44:57.63 that can be said of the Lord, 00:44:57.66\00:44:59.53 you know, he's a man after my own heart, 00:44:59.56\00:45:01.63 that is powerful, powerful, powerful. 00:45:01.66\00:45:04.07 And, you know, also what is so awesome about David 00:45:04.10\00:45:06.63 is that he often emphasized obedience to the Lord. 00:45:06.67\00:45:10.04 That was one of his big things, you go read the Book of Psalms, 00:45:10.07\00:45:12.97 he really emphasizes being obedient to God. 00:45:13.01\00:45:16.04 And so what role does obedience play 00:45:16.08\00:45:18.68 in determining a man of God? 00:45:18.71\00:45:20.05 Is that important? 00:45:20.08\00:45:21.42 'Cause a lot of people would say, 00:45:21.45\00:45:22.78 "You know, obedience is okay 00:45:22.82\00:45:24.15 but, you know, faith is much more important," right? 00:45:24.19\00:45:26.92 Because they don't really properly understand 00:45:26.96\00:45:28.66 that relationship between faith and obedience. 00:45:28.69\00:45:30.39 So let's talk about that for a couple of minutes. 00:45:30.43\00:45:32.19 What role does obedience play in determining a man of God? 00:45:32.23\00:45:37.53 I think it's very important. 00:45:37.57\00:45:39.07 I mean, here in James 1:22 it says, 00:45:39.10\00:45:41.77 "But be doers of the word 00:45:41.80\00:45:43.87 and not hearers only deceiving yourselves." 00:45:43.91\00:45:46.78 So let me ask you this question, 00:45:46.81\00:45:48.61 how important is it to obey the traffic laws? 00:45:48.64\00:45:53.05 You know, you're driving in the car, 00:45:53.08\00:45:55.48 I find it interesting 00:45:55.52\00:45:56.85 that a lot of times we see people 00:45:56.89\00:45:58.22 and they just take a look at the Bible 00:45:58.25\00:46:00.16 as "This is suggestive, 00:46:00.19\00:46:02.22 there's suggestions for how I should live my life." 00:46:02.26\00:46:04.83 But then when we're driving our cars 00:46:04.86\00:46:07.26 and we come to that red light, we'd say, 00:46:07.30\00:46:09.46 "Oh, that's a suggestion on what I should do. 00:46:09.50\00:46:12.77 Maybe I should stop, maybe I shouldn't." 00:46:12.80\00:46:14.74 Or we come to a stop sign. 00:46:14.77\00:46:16.81 "I don't think I'll just stop at this one. 00:46:16.84\00:46:18.71 I think I'll... 00:46:18.74\00:46:20.08 Maybe I'll stop at the next one." 00:46:20.11\00:46:21.44 You know, and so, 00:46:21.48\00:46:22.81 we just go mosey on right through that light 00:46:22.84\00:46:25.71 and through that stop sign and then... 00:46:25.75\00:46:28.05 That's right, man. 00:46:28.08\00:46:29.48 And in those laws, laws of the land, those signs, 00:46:29.52\00:46:31.75 they're there for what purpose? 00:46:31.79\00:46:34.26 For our protection. 00:46:34.29\00:46:35.62 For our protection, right? 00:46:35.66\00:46:36.99 And what purpose is the law of God therefore? 00:46:37.03\00:46:39.09 Our protection. 00:46:39.13\00:46:40.46 For our safety and for our freedom, 00:46:40.50\00:46:42.53 like it's not meant to be restrictive, 00:46:42.56\00:46:46.07 but to set us free. 00:46:46.10\00:46:47.44 That's right. 00:46:47.47\00:46:48.80 Amen. Yeah. Yeah. 00:46:48.84\00:46:50.17 I love that. That's so beautiful. 00:46:50.21\00:46:51.54 You know, I think, you know, 00:46:51.57\00:46:52.91 obviously obedience is top priority. 00:46:52.94\00:46:54.64 But also being aware of your own disobedience 00:46:54.68\00:46:56.71 and coming back to the Lord in those situations 00:46:56.75\00:46:58.55 is important. 00:46:58.58\00:46:59.91 I mean, I love Psalm 51, where it says, 00:46:59.95\00:47:01.68 "Create in me a clean heart, 00:47:01.72\00:47:03.05 O God and renew a right spirit within me, 00:47:03.08\00:47:05.12 cast me not away from thy presence 00:47:05.15\00:47:06.69 and take not thy Holy Spirit from me." 00:47:06.72\00:47:09.62 So I think it's so important 00:47:09.66\00:47:11.76 that when we do kind of go off the right path, 00:47:11.79\00:47:14.70 that we make sure that we come and reconcile with the Lord. 00:47:14.73\00:47:17.47 That's right. Amen. 00:47:17.50\00:47:18.83 That's a very, very... That's a good point. 00:47:18.87\00:47:20.34 David said in Psalm 40:8, he says, 00:47:20.37\00:47:22.50 "I delight to do your will of God, 00:47:22.54\00:47:25.04 and your law is within my heart." 00:47:25.07\00:47:27.18 So it's a great text that even to me goes further 00:47:27.21\00:47:30.18 to prove and to show 00:47:30.21\00:47:31.55 that it's the will of God for us 00:47:31.58\00:47:33.01 to be obedient and keeping His law. 00:47:33.05\00:47:34.72 And I love what you said, Jay, 00:47:34.75\00:47:36.08 you know, the law is there to protect us. 00:47:36.12\00:47:37.85 The law is there to be a freedom. 00:47:37.89\00:47:40.32 I like to call them not necessarily 00:47:40.36\00:47:41.86 the Ten Commandments, but the ten freedoms. 00:47:41.89\00:47:44.19 You know, seriously, think about this for a moment. 00:47:44.23\00:47:47.06 It's not like God's showing up and saying, 00:47:47.10\00:47:48.53 "You know, you got to do this or else..." 00:47:48.56\00:47:50.43 I think it's more or less God saying, 00:47:50.47\00:47:51.80 "Look, I know you better than you know you." 00:47:51.83\00:47:53.90 I think I know a little bit of something 00:47:53.94\00:47:55.30 about human nature because I created you. 00:47:55.34\00:47:57.84 And I know what you've become, 00:47:57.87\00:47:59.31 and I know what needs to happen 00:47:59.34\00:48:00.94 in order for you and I to be reconciled. 00:48:00.98\00:48:02.78 So you can have eternal life, right? 00:48:02.81\00:48:04.51 And so it's not the 10, 00:48:04.55\00:48:05.88 you know, thou shalts and thou shalt not, you know, 00:48:05.91\00:48:08.05 'cause a lot of times we look at the Ten Commandments, 00:48:08.08\00:48:09.68 and we think of them in that way, "The law of God," 00:48:09.72\00:48:12.12 you know, "oppressive and burdensome," 00:48:12.15\00:48:13.96 even though 1 John 5 tells us 00:48:13.99\00:48:15.82 that the law of God is not burdensome, 00:48:15.86\00:48:18.13 that it's the love of God that we keep His commandments. 00:48:18.16\00:48:21.20 I love this in Ezekiel 12:13, speaking of man, 00:48:21.23\00:48:26.27 you know, man in general, man and woman, 00:48:26.30\00:48:28.37 but we're talking about 00:48:28.40\00:48:29.74 what it means to be a man of God. 00:48:29.77\00:48:31.11 Ecclesiastes 12? What did I say? 00:48:31.14\00:48:32.47 You said Ezekiel. Oh, I'm sorry. 00:48:32.51\00:48:34.04 I stand corrected. Ecclesiastes 12:13. 00:48:34.08\00:48:36.88 And I love the King James Version wording of this. 00:48:36.91\00:48:39.01 It says, "Let us hear the conclusion 00:48:39.05\00:48:41.08 of the whole matter." 00:48:41.12\00:48:42.45 And again, this is coming from the wisest man. 00:48:42.48\00:48:44.69 I think he knew a little bit of something about life. 00:48:44.72\00:48:47.06 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter, 00:48:47.09\00:48:48.62 fear God and keep His commandments 00:48:48.66\00:48:51.16 for this is the whole duty of man, 00:48:51.19\00:48:53.76 not that the commandments save us, 00:48:53.80\00:48:55.66 it's not our means of salvation, 00:48:55.70\00:48:57.97 we are saved only through Jesus Christ 00:48:58.00\00:49:00.34 and what He'd done on the cross and His shed blood. 00:49:00.37\00:49:02.84 But if we are claiming that blood, 00:49:02.87\00:49:06.14 if we are claiming that salvation in Jesus Christ, 00:49:06.17\00:49:09.01 the natural response should be "Jesus, 00:49:09.04\00:49:12.78 I want to follow You. 00:49:12.81\00:49:14.18 Jesus, I want to obey You. 00:49:14.22\00:49:15.58 The fact that You've died for me on a cross 00:49:15.62\00:49:17.75 and You've given your life 00:49:17.79\00:49:19.12 that I can be saved undeserving, 00:49:19.15\00:49:20.86 I want to be obedient to You." 00:49:20.89\00:49:22.22 So that being said, 00:49:22.26\00:49:23.59 a man of God should be an obedient person in the Lord. 00:49:23.63\00:49:26.93 Obey God's commands. 00:49:26.96\00:49:29.46 And I love this, you know, also, 00:49:29.50\00:49:30.83 I love the example of David 00:49:30.87\00:49:32.23 because, you know, David stumped, 00:49:32.27\00:49:34.84 we talked about that already. 00:49:34.87\00:49:36.60 But how does God deal with the man of God 00:49:36.64\00:49:38.31 who is stumped? 00:49:38.34\00:49:40.51 Well, can I back up for a moment? 00:49:40.54\00:49:41.88 Yeah, let's back up for a moment. 00:49:41.91\00:49:43.24 There's just one thing I wanted to say about Paul 00:49:43.28\00:49:44.61 before we move forward. 00:49:44.65\00:49:45.98 Yeah, go ahead, man. 00:49:46.01\00:49:47.35 So, what I love about Paul... 00:49:47.38\00:49:48.72 And this is connecting with how he acted, 00:49:48.75\00:49:50.09 you know, we know the commandments 00:49:50.12\00:49:51.45 and obeying the law 00:49:51.49\00:49:52.82 is really the transcript of God's character, 00:49:52.85\00:49:54.39 the Ten Commandments 00:49:54.42\00:49:55.76 is a transcript of the character of God. 00:49:55.79\00:49:57.59 And Paul had something to say in 1 Corinthians 11:1, 00:49:57.63\00:50:01.70 that just blows me away. 00:50:01.73\00:50:03.53 I mean, I wish I could say this. 00:50:03.57\00:50:05.17 And I wish I could say this with absolute like, 00:50:05.20\00:50:07.37 no hypocrisy in my life. 00:50:07.40\00:50:11.21 But he said, "Imitate me 00:50:11.24\00:50:14.14 just as I also have imitated Christ." 00:50:14.18\00:50:17.21 Amen. 00:50:17.25\00:50:18.58 In other words, like, how many people can you look at 00:50:18.61\00:50:20.02 and say, "Look, look, just look at me." 00:50:20.05\00:50:23.59 Just do it I do, you know. 00:50:23.62\00:50:25.75 Like you can't follow my example. 00:50:25.79\00:50:27.32 We would never tell someone that, 00:50:27.36\00:50:28.69 but Paul was such a man of God, such a holy man of God, 00:50:28.72\00:50:32.29 was so connected to Jesus, 00:50:32.33\00:50:33.73 that he could tell someone 00:50:33.76\00:50:35.10 "Imitate me as I've imitated Christ." 00:50:35.13\00:50:36.97 Like, wow! 00:50:37.00\00:50:38.33 And one thing that blows me away 00:50:38.37\00:50:39.70 is about him keeping the commandments, 00:50:39.73\00:50:41.17 he understood one of the commandments 00:50:41.20\00:50:43.30 was to go and preach the gospel to every nation, kindred, 00:50:43.34\00:50:45.64 tongue and people. 00:50:45.67\00:50:47.01 In Acts 14:19-22, 00:50:47.04\00:50:50.51 we read about Paul going to Antioch, 00:50:50.55\00:50:53.52 and he gets there, and he's preaching the word, 00:50:53.55\00:50:56.22 and these brothers don't like what he's saying. 00:50:56.25\00:50:58.09 And they stone him to death. 00:50:58.12\00:51:00.59 I mean, I want you to imagine, you got all these rude, 00:51:00.62\00:51:03.12 just like very just, you know vulgar men, 00:51:03.16\00:51:05.96 very upset men very, you know, just strong men 00:51:05.99\00:51:09.90 and they got these stones 00:51:09.93\00:51:11.27 and they're all hanging over you, 00:51:11.30\00:51:12.63 throwing these stones hard at you, 00:51:12.67\00:51:14.00 I mean, stoning someone was to kill him, 00:51:14.04\00:51:15.37 it was to take their life, Paul took a brutal beating. 00:51:15.40\00:51:19.21 And notice what it says here. 00:51:19.24\00:51:20.68 We're gonna pick it up here in verse 19, 00:51:20.71\00:51:23.61 "The Jews from Antioch," this is Acts 14:19, 00:51:23.65\00:51:27.02 "The Jews from Antioch and Iconium came there. 00:51:27.05\00:51:29.52 And having persuaded the multitudes, 00:51:29.55\00:51:30.99 they stoned Paul 00:51:31.02\00:51:32.35 and dragged him out of the city, 00:51:32.39\00:51:34.19 supposing him to have been dead." 00:51:34.22\00:51:35.56 So he's like, "I got a lifeless body." 00:51:35.59\00:51:37.69 And then notice in verse 20, 00:51:37.73\00:51:39.06 "However, when the disciples gathered around him, 00:51:39.09\00:51:41.40 he rose up and went into the city. 00:51:41.43\00:51:43.80 And the next day he departed from Barnabas to Derby." 00:51:43.83\00:51:47.90 Now check this out, verse 21, 00:51:47.94\00:51:49.34 "And when they had preached the gospel to that city... 00:51:49.37\00:51:54.38 Hold on a second, Paul, you just got stoned last night. 00:51:54.41\00:51:57.11 Right. 00:51:57.15\00:51:58.48 You know, he's probably got blood spots on and bruises. 00:51:58.51\00:52:00.95 And he's like, "Hey, I ain't gonna let that stop me." 00:52:00.98\00:52:02.38 He goes out preaching the gospel at another city 00:52:02.42\00:52:04.65 and then check this out, this blew me away. 00:52:04.69\00:52:06.89 "When they had preached the gospel to that city 00:52:06.92\00:52:08.69 and made many disciples, 00:52:08.72\00:52:10.33 they returned to Iconium and Antioch." 00:52:10.36\00:52:14.26 It's like we didn't get enough of that stoning. 00:52:14.30\00:52:15.66 It says, "They strengthened the souls of the disciples, 00:52:15.70\00:52:18.20 exhorting them to continue in the faith and saying, 00:52:18.23\00:52:21.17 'We must through many tribulations 00:52:21.20\00:52:22.87 enter into the kingdom of God.'" 00:52:22.90\00:52:24.24 Wow. No, that was awesome. 00:52:31.41\00:52:32.75 That touched me so much, man, 00:52:32.78\00:52:34.72 when I've seen that I was like "Wow!" 00:52:34.75\00:52:36.08 'Cause Paul was a true man of God, 00:52:36.12\00:52:37.45 I mean, what is it nearly two thirds 00:52:37.49\00:52:39.82 or more of the New Testament is written by Paul. 00:52:39.85\00:52:43.36 I mean, that goes to show 00:52:43.39\00:52:44.73 that God really entrusted this man. 00:52:44.76\00:52:46.19 He saw his sincerity, He saw his genuineness to say, 00:52:46.23\00:52:49.46 "You know what, this guy's not perfect, 00:52:49.50\00:52:51.80 but I'm gonna make him a perfect vessel 00:52:51.83\00:52:53.54 for My honor," right?" 00:52:53.57\00:52:54.90 That's powerful. 00:52:54.94\00:52:56.27 That's the man I want to be, right? 00:52:56.30\00:52:57.64 I know I'm not where I need to be, 00:52:57.67\00:52:59.01 Ryan's still striving, Ryan is still looking forward 00:52:59.04\00:53:01.74 and I'm certainly not where I once was. 00:53:01.78\00:53:03.48 But I'm looking forward to what man I want to be 00:53:03.51\00:53:05.61 and that's a man of God 00:53:05.65\00:53:06.98 and I hope that you watching at home right now, 00:53:07.02\00:53:08.52 I hope that's your goal, I want to be a man, 00:53:08.55\00:53:11.49 I want to be a woman of the Lord. 00:53:11.52\00:53:13.62 So that God can look upon me and say, 00:53:13.66\00:53:15.66 "Hey, that's My precious child. 00:53:15.69\00:53:17.53 That's My vessel of honor 00:53:17.56\00:53:18.89 that's gonna bring glory for Me and My kingdom." 00:53:18.93\00:53:20.96 That's the goal here. 00:53:21.00\00:53:22.66 This is probably going to turn in 00:53:22.70\00:53:24.37 I can already see what we're doing here. 00:53:24.40\00:53:26.74 This is gonna turn into a part two, 00:53:26.77\00:53:28.84 I'm just going to let you guys know ahead of that. 00:53:28.87\00:53:30.54 But in closing here, we have like four minutes. 00:53:30.57\00:53:32.27 Let's talk about how God deals with men who have stumbled. 00:53:32.31\00:53:35.81 Because David, I mean, we're talking about David, 00:53:35.84\00:53:37.88 we're talking about... 00:53:37.91\00:53:39.25 We can even throw Paul in there, 00:53:39.28\00:53:40.62 we can throw a bunch of people in here 00:53:40.65\00:53:41.98 who made some pretty big mistakes. 00:53:42.02\00:53:43.75 I mean, David was God's anointed and chosen person. 00:53:43.79\00:53:47.52 And he murdered a man 00:53:47.56\00:53:49.82 so that he could commit adultery with his wife. 00:53:49.86\00:53:51.79 Yep. Yeah. 00:53:51.83\00:53:53.16 And you would think that God's like, 00:53:53.19\00:53:55.10 "Hey, you know better," right? 00:53:55.13\00:53:56.53 And he did, you know, he handled, 00:53:56.56\00:54:00.04 I think he handled David 00:54:00.07\00:54:01.40 the way he should have been handled. 00:54:01.44\00:54:02.77 But, you know, what does it say about how God treats us, 00:54:02.80\00:54:06.17 even as His vessels of honor, either as His chosen followers, 00:54:06.21\00:54:10.81 His people whom is saved in the Lord, 00:54:10.85\00:54:14.12 but sometimes we may fumble, 00:54:14.15\00:54:15.48 we may take our eyes off Jesus and stumble and fall. 00:54:15.52\00:54:17.49 How does He treat us? 00:54:17.52\00:54:18.85 Well, Romans 5:6, beginning in verse 6. 00:54:18.89\00:54:22.52 "For one we were still without strength 00:54:22.56\00:54:24.09 and due time Christ died for the ungodly. 00:54:24.13\00:54:26.53 For scarcely for a righteous man, 00:54:26.56\00:54:28.30 one die yet perhaps for a good man, 00:54:28.33\00:54:30.30 someone would even dare to die. 00:54:30.33\00:54:32.40 But God demonstrates His own love toward us 00:54:32.43\00:54:35.00 and that while we were still sinners, 00:54:35.04\00:54:36.54 Christ died for us." 00:54:36.57\00:54:38.14 That's how, you know, that's how He deals with us. 00:54:38.17\00:54:40.64 That's how He dealt with us. 00:54:40.68\00:54:42.18 John 3:16, and then you also have 1 John 1:9. 00:54:42.21\00:54:48.12 1 John 1:9 says, 00:54:48.15\00:54:49.68 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful 00:54:49.72\00:54:51.99 and just to forgive us our sins, 00:54:52.02\00:54:54.02 and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 00:54:54.06\00:54:57.09 And that's how God deals with us. 00:54:57.13\00:54:58.89 He doesn't cast us away. 00:54:58.93\00:55:00.83 He loves us and He's standing there 00:55:00.86\00:55:02.80 with wide open arms waiting for us 00:55:02.83\00:55:04.97 to just confess our sins and turn away. 00:55:05.00\00:55:07.60 Yeah. 00:55:07.64\00:55:08.97 One thing I was gonna say is, 00:55:09.00\00:55:10.34 especially to the point of David, 00:55:10.37\00:55:13.58 I literally was reading the story 00:55:13.61\00:55:15.41 of what happened to David, what he did. 00:55:15.44\00:55:18.65 And it's very interesting, towards the end, 00:55:18.68\00:55:21.42 you find where Nathan points out to David, 00:55:21.45\00:55:23.95 he tells him this parable. 00:55:23.99\00:55:25.32 He talks about this rich man who has a bunch of sheep 00:55:25.35\00:55:26.96 and this poor man who has this little ewe 00:55:26.99\00:55:29.12 that he treats as his own daughter. 00:55:29.16\00:55:30.96 And when a traveler comes in, instead of using... 00:55:30.99\00:55:34.60 The rich man using one of his sheep, 00:55:34.63\00:55:36.13 he takes the poor man's sheep and uses it. 00:55:36.16\00:55:38.73 And Nathan points out to David 00:55:38.77\00:55:40.30 that this rich man who's done this wicked deed is you. 00:55:40.34\00:55:44.31 You have taken from Uriah, his wife and you've killed him 00:55:44.34\00:55:47.88 by placing him at the front of the battle 00:55:47.91\00:55:50.88 and so when David realize this when he said, 00:55:50.91\00:55:56.38 when Nathan told him this message, 00:55:56.42\00:55:58.42 David says in 2 Samuel 11:13, 00:55:58.45\00:56:02.72 "I have sinned against God." 00:56:02.76\00:56:05.39 And one of my... 00:56:05.43\00:56:06.76 One of the most interesting and kind of sad, 00:56:06.80\00:56:09.70 but very poignant things that Nathan did, 00:56:09.73\00:56:13.84 then said to David was 00:56:13.87\00:56:15.20 "The Lord also has put away your sin, 00:56:15.24\00:56:17.77 you shall not die, but the child shall die." 00:56:17.81\00:56:23.31 And it's fascinating 00:56:23.35\00:56:24.68 'cause you can even go into that spiritually and say, 00:56:24.71\00:56:27.02 this child died for the sin of his father. 00:56:27.05\00:56:31.02 But we look at Christ 00:56:31.05\00:56:32.39 and how he died for the sin of His people. 00:56:32.42\00:56:35.86 And so... 00:56:35.89\00:56:37.23 That's a powerful point, we serve a merciful God. 00:56:37.26\00:56:39.33 We serve a merciful God. 00:56:39.36\00:56:40.70 I love this scripture in Psalm 37:23-24, it says, 00:56:40.73\00:56:44.17 "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, 00:56:44.20\00:56:47.47 and He delights in His way, 00:56:47.50\00:56:49.47 though he fall he shall not be utterly cast down 00:56:49.50\00:56:52.74 for the Lord upholds him with His hand." 00:56:52.77\00:56:56.75 Man, time has just flown by. 00:56:56.78\00:56:59.08 We serve a merciful God. 00:56:59.11\00:57:00.45 We're talking about what it means 00:57:00.48\00:57:01.95 to be a man of God. 00:57:01.98\00:57:03.32 This is part one obviously because we still have... 00:57:03.35\00:57:05.75 I'm going through these notes here, 00:57:05.79\00:57:07.12 we still got like three more pages of notes 00:57:07.16\00:57:09.06 to talk about 00:57:09.09\00:57:10.43 but we're gonna come back for a part two 00:57:10.46\00:57:12.23 talking about what it means biblically, in today's age, 00:57:12.26\00:57:15.26 no matter what age, 00:57:15.30\00:57:16.63 what it means to be a man of God. 00:57:16.67\00:57:18.20 We thank you so much 00:57:18.23\00:57:19.57 for taking your time to join us. 00:57:19.60\00:57:20.94 Again, this is part one. 00:57:20.97\00:57:22.30 Next time we get to come together, 00:57:22.34\00:57:23.67 we're going to do a part two on this very subject. 00:57:23.71\00:57:26.17 Thank you all so much. God bless you. 00:57:26.21\00:57:28.04 Have a blessed day in the Lord. 00:57:28.08\00:57:30.01 And hey, we hope to see you right back here, 00:57:30.05\00:57:32.51 3ABN Family Worship next time. 00:57:32.55\00:57:35.05
