Well, I want to take a moment
because from the beginning

we mentioned a word

and some people
may misunderstand,

and that is the word Sabbath.

When we think of
Sabbath, we want to make sure

that you understand
that we're talking about
00:09:12.08\00:09:13.65
the seventh day
Sabbath, which is Saturday.
00:09:13.68\00:09:16.62
And so I would like
to read the scripture

in Exodus 20:8-11,
that helps us understand

that the seventh
day is the Sabbath.

And this is the
day that Jesus kept,

when it says in Luke 4:16,

"And He went on the
Sabbath day into the synagogue."

And so Luke, I
mean, the Exodus 20:8-11,

In Luke 17, I'm going
to go ahead and read it.

interesting that takes place.

mention a few things about

You can spend all your
lifetime and all your money

looking for doctors to heal you,

and there was
no healing, I mean,

literally your fingers
would fall off, part of your...

I mean, you could get something
on one part of your face,
00:13:00.38\00:13:03.95
or your arm, or anywhere,
and that part would then die
00:13:03.98\00:13:07.68
and that part would fall off.
00:13:07.72\00:13:09.15
And so it was said

that the very
air was contaminated.

And for the sake of the
rest of the family members,

that person was to
separate himself or herself

from the family
because otherwise

they too would get leprosy,
and they too would be dying,

we're all dying
slowly as they say,

but they would be literally

have the death
sentence upon them.

So these men that had leprosy,
to them it was such a joy,

who knows how long
they have been separated

from their family and friends.

And now they are healed, wow,

they can be restored to
their family, to society

because they used to live out
00:13:52.29\00:13:53.70
in the outer part of
the city, and some in caves.

And we understand that
they used to have to yell,

"Unclean, unclean."

So that people would be
aware that they are in the area
00:14:04.14\00:14:07.24
and make sure to
get out of the way.

But this man, only one
returned to give thanks,

and Jesus takes notice of this.

And He says, "Where
are the other nine?"

So I guess, one of
my questions today is,

you know, we
talked about blessings,
00:14:22.16\00:14:23.99
and showers of blessings,
00:14:24.03\00:14:25.73
and we all received
blessings from the Lord.

But I think we're all
guilty of maybe if not once,

more than once, not
to give the Lord thanks

for His blessings.

And so what should we
do about these things?

It said, perhaps
somebody may have a comment

about the story we just read.

That's something that
came to my mind first thing

when you read it, is verse 14.

It says, "And when he
saw them, he said unto them,

'Go show
yourselves unto the priests.'"

And I think that's interesting

that that's the first
thing they needed to do.

And for us, you
know, we need to be,

to allow Jesus to look at us,

and show us
things about ourselves.

And that's not always
easy but it's, you know,

when we show ourselves to
Him, and we are kind of like,

Psalms 51, it says,

that's against you."

And so I like that verse there,
