00:02 I want to spend my life
00:08 Mending broken people 00:13 I want to spend my life 00:20 Removing pain 00:25 Lord, let my words 00:31 Heal a heart that hurts 00:36 I want to spend my life 00:41 Mending broken people 00:47 I want to spend my life 00:52 Mending broken people 01:09 Hello, and welcome to another 3ABN Today Family Worship. 01:13 On Friday night, we love to open up the Word of God 01:17 to share together with brothers and sisters in Jesus, 01:19 and you at home, 01:21 you are part of our 3ABN family. 01:23 And we're so glad that you have taken this time 01:26 to sit down on your couch or in your living room sofa, 01:28 and open up the God's word and share with us. 01:32 My name is Jill Morikone and I feel a little alone here 01:36 because normally Greg and I do Family Worship together, 01:39 but this evening is ladies night. 01:42 But not ladies night, 01:43 it's ladies night here sharing together, 01:46 but the topic 01:47 that we are going to be covering 01:49 is something that is important for men and women, 01:51 young and old alike. 01:53 And I'm so excited about that topic 01:55 and excited about the women, 01:58 my sisters in Jesus 01:59 that we have around the table here. 02:01 I'm gonna start at the far end. 02:03 We have Dee Hilderbrand. 02:04 And, Dee, you're a production coordinator. 02:06 And you and I had the privilege of sharing an office for, 02:10 I guess, four years maybe. 02:11 Oh, it was great. 02:12 And it was a blessing, but thank you for coming, Dee, 02:14 and for being on the program. 02:15 I'm happy that you called me. 02:18 And sitting next to Dee is Shelley Quinn. 02:21 And, Shelley, you're a new program development manager 02:23 here at 3ABN. 02:25 And you and JD are just such a blessing 02:27 to Greg and I and to the family at home 02:29 and to the ministry here. 02:31 And thank you for being part of our Family Worship. 02:33 It's always a pleasure to sit down 02:35 and open God's Word with my sisters. 02:37 Amen, it is. 02:38 And then last but not least, we saved the best for last now. 02:43 We have Mollie Steenson 02:44 and such a joy to have you here, Mollie, 02:46 you are a Vice President, General Manager. 02:48 Mom to me and I know so many others. 02:51 I think one of the... 02:53 We went out to eat here fairly recently, 02:56 and we had a special occasion, we went out to eat 02:58 and we kind of just sat down and shared as sisters together. 03:02 And I think this is one of the most precious things 03:04 someone ever told me. 03:05 Mollie said, "I just feel like you're my daughter." 03:07 In my heart. And I received that. 03:10 And so that's really special. 03:12 But, Mollie, we're so glad you're here. 03:13 Always a joy to get with you ladies 03:16 and open up the Word of God. 03:17 Oh, it's just amazing what God speaks to our hearts 03:20 and it's just... 03:21 I'm looking forward to this program. 03:23 Amen. Me too. 03:25 And our topic this evening is a sensitive topic, 03:28 but it's a needed topic. 03:30 We're talking about purity, 03:32 the purity that God wants to put 03:34 in each one of our hearts and lives. 03:36 So whether you're watching and saying, 03:38 "Boy, I really think I'm doing a pretty good job 03:41 and I'm fairly pure." 03:42 Well, then this program is definitely for you. 03:44 Yes. 03:45 And if you're sitting there going, 03:47 "I have really fallen 03:49 and I'm in the mud and I don't even think 03:52 if I could ever be clean again." 03:54 This program is for you as well. 03:56 So to me, the whole gamut, we all need Jesus, 03:59 we need the cleansing of His spirit. 04:01 So let's read a scripture and we'll pray 04:04 and then we'll jump right into our topic. 04:06 Our kickoff scripture is Psalm 24. 04:09 And, Mollie, you want to read that for us, 04:11 3-5? 04:12 Well, I've got 3-4 04:13 and, Shelley, you pick up on 5. 04:15 Okay. 04:16 "Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? 04:19 Or who may stand in His holy place? 04:22 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, 04:25 who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, 04:28 nor sworn deceitfully." 04:30 "He shall receive blessing from the Lord, 04:32 and righteousness from the God of his salvation." 04:35 Amen. Praise God. 04:36 This is one of my favorite scriptures. 04:38 When I pray often in the morning, 04:40 I'll claim this scripture. 04:41 Yes. Every morning. 04:42 God, give me clean hands 04:44 and a pure heart to stand before You. 04:46 So we're gonna talk this evening 04:48 on what it means to have a pure heart. 04:50 How do we walk in purity? 04:52 How do we become pure? 04:54 How do we remain pure? 04:55 We'll look at some Bible examples 04:57 and Bible scriptures and some personal experience. 04:59 But let's pray before we kick off our topic. 05:02 Dee, you wanna pray for us here? 05:04 Our Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank You so much 05:06 for Your blessings on our lives 05:09 and that You give us Your word, Lord, 05:11 as a roadmap so that we can see who to become 05:14 who You want us to be, Father, who You created us to be. 05:18 Thank you, Father, for Your kindness, 05:20 Your loving kindness and Your mercy. 05:23 And, Father, that you came to draw us to You 05:27 and not to condemn us. 05:29 Thank you, Father, so much for all You've given to us 05:32 and help our hearts open up to embrace Your gift, Father. 05:37 We just thank You 05:38 and we praise You in Jesus' name, Amen. 05:40 Amen. 05:41 So if we're talking about purity, 05:42 let's just start with the basic definition. 05:45 What is purity? 05:46 And as we talk about what is purity, let's also, 05:48 we'll try to bring in 05:50 maybe the world's definition of purity 05:52 or what people in the world would say, 05:53 "Oh, yes, this is purity." 05:55 Versus God's definition of purity. 05:58 Well, you know, I'd actually looked up in the dictionary 06:01 the word pure 06:02 because I was very curious to see what it said. 06:06 And there was actually 11 different number definitions 06:11 that they called it, 06:12 but mostly it started off with saying that 06:14 it was uncontaminated 06:17 that there was nothing else in it, 06:19 it was pure without anything and not defied. 06:24 Defiled? 06:25 Defiled. 06:27 But it got clear down to number four 06:29 before it said anything about moral defilement. 06:32 But you can have very evil things 06:36 that are pure in the world, 06:39 that have nothing to do with spiritual or moral values. 06:43 For example, what do you mean by that? 06:44 Well, pure heroin. 06:47 If you watch TV... Okay, okay. 06:48 they talk about pure heroin or even pure beauty, 06:55 you know, but it's a worldly value, 06:58 it has nothing to do with spiritual 07:01 are even moral value. 07:04 So the world does not necessarily consider anything. 07:09 It will consider things that pure 07:11 that have nothing to do with God 07:13 or spiritual and moral. 07:14 Or have nothing to do with eternal value 07:17 or eternal consequences. 07:18 Absolutely. 07:20 You know, I think the Bible talks about purity. 07:22 It's talking about a purity of heart 07:24 which is really your mind. 07:26 A purity of our actions and our conscience is, 07:32 that's something that's important as well. 07:34 And it is... 07:36 And I guess you could say, 07:40 the word that I'm looking for, 07:41 it is authentic, 07:44 an inward authentic righteousness. 07:48 So purity according to the Bible 07:52 is something, this righteousness, 07:54 we know that righteousness is by faith, 07:57 it's the only kind of righteousness there is. 07:59 But as that righteousness is weak, 08:02 accept the righteousness of Christ. 08:05 Then we see that He begins to purify our thoughts. 08:08 Could I read just two scriptures real quickly? 08:11 I want to look them up to, 08:13 so tell me where they are found. 08:14 Okay. Proverbs 15:26. 08:17 Proverbs 15:26. 08:21 Okay. 08:23 And I thought this one was important 08:25 because it covers our thoughts. 08:28 See, anybody can act pure, 08:31 anybody can put on kind of that verbal camouflage 08:35 and look good and dress right, 08:38 but what the Bible says in Proverbs 15:26, it says, 08:42 "The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the Lord, 08:46 but the words of the pure are pleasant." 08:50 Out of the abundance of the heart..." 08:51 "The mouth speaks." "The mouth speaks." 08:53 So we can tell purity 08:56 has to have something to do then 08:58 with the words that we speak, the thoughts, 09:01 and we speak what we're thinking, right? 09:03 Now while you are in Proverbs, turn to 21 and verse 8. 09:07 Proverbs 21:8. 09:11 It says, 09:13 "The way of a guilty man is perverse, 09:16 but as for the pure, his work is right." 09:21 So we often quote, 09:23 "Watch your thoughts, they become words, 09:27 your words become actions, your actions become habits, 09:32 your habits become your character, 09:34 your character is what determines your destiny. 09:37 Yes. 09:38 So here it's saying that, 09:44 "Those who are pure, your work is right." 09:47 So if you've got clean thoughts, 09:49 you speak cleanly, you act... 09:53 And when we say clean, this is undefiled by sin. 09:57 This is what I'm saying. 09:59 And then one more and I'll stop, in Proverbs, 10:03 while we're there, 30:12. 10:10 It says in Proverbs 30:12. 10:14 "There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, 10:19 yet is not washed from its filthiness." 10:23 So it's this idea 10:26 of being washed by the Blood of Jesus. 10:30 Coming before the Lord and, you know, 10:33 Dee and I both were sitting here 10:36 and I'm sure you could as well. 10:38 I think that you were brought... 10:39 Well, let me just put it this way. 10:42 If we were to look at our past, 10:46 we all have a checkered past. 10:48 You were probably brought up on a pathway of purity 10:51 a little more so than some of the rest of us were. 10:55 And I look back, 10:56 and as I was looking at these scriptures, 10:58 I thought, Lord, the song, 11:01 "I was nothing before You found me." 11:04 And how He changes the way we think, the way we act, 11:09 the way we look at things 11:12 as He teaches us to take our thoughts captive 11:14 and make them obedient to the Lord. 11:16 And, you know, I was thinking, Shelley, 11:18 as you were saying that. 11:19 You mentioned how I was brought up 11:20 and, you know, praise the Lord for godly parents. 11:22 You know, they wanted to raise you in that purity. 11:25 But there's a difference between innocence and purity. 11:28 Yes. 11:29 So you could look at someone 11:31 who was raised in a certain past 11:33 and saying, "Aw, she or he is very innocent," right? 11:38 But innocence is just simply ignorance of bad things. 11:41 Yes. 11:42 Purity is cleansing from sin, right? 11:47 Yes. Amen. 11:48 And we all have sinned 11:50 and fallen short of the glory of God. 11:52 So you could look at that and say, aw, 11:54 but innocence is precious 11:56 but the best thing is to have purity. 12:00 You know, if you had to pick between the two, 12:02 if you have ignorance of bad things, 12:05 well, that's a good thing, not having experienced 12:07 all the ways of the world. 12:09 But the better thing is to know that 12:11 God by the power of His Holy Spirit 12:14 can clean me, can forgive me, 12:17 can purify me inside. 12:20 Amen. You know, I'm thinking that... 12:23 Well, first of all Proverbs 16:2. 12:26 "All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, 12:32 But the Lord weighs the spirits." 12:33 Yes. 12:34 And so I'm thinking of, 12:37 before I made Jesus Christ 12:38 the Lord of my life in a long, 12:40 I'm going to say a long time afterwards. 12:42 There... Thank God for justification. 12:45 Thank God for that. 12:46 However, if we went for that sanctification process, 12:49 where would we be? 12:51 We would still be at square one. 12:53 And it's this sanctification process... 12:55 Which means what, 12:57 for somebody that doesn't know that word. 12:59 That's when the Lord by the power of His Spirit 13:01 draws you continually out of darkness and into light. 13:05 It's that cleansing process 13:07 that only the Holy Spirit can do. 13:09 So when you make Jesus the Lord of your life, 13:12 when you are born again, 13:13 then the Lord by the power of His Spirit 13:16 starts that purifying process, that purifying, 13:22 where that purifying 13:24 and perfecting of our character, 13:26 that's the beginning and it's the... 13:28 And the holy, you know, it's the Holy Spirit's job 13:31 is to draw us out of darkness and into light, 13:33 step number one, 13:34 but, you know, He never stops working on us. 13:36 It's that continual drawing. 13:38 And that's where that purifying and perfecting takes place 13:43 is God working through the Spirit 13:45 in our lives and in our hearts 13:47 and through His word and through prayer 13:49 and through the presence of the Lord. 13:50 Amen. You were... Oh, go ahead. 13:53 I was just going to say do you think 13:55 part of our definition of purity 13:58 could and should be 14:00 that we're free from sinful desires? 14:03 Oh, that's good, Shelley, 14:06 because you think about the world's definition. 14:09 And to be honest even in the church, 14:12 I think many denominations teach this, okay, 14:15 in order to be pure, especially young people. 14:18 You know, whether male or female 14:19 we say, in order to be pure, 14:22 you need to abstain from fornication 14:25 or abstain from acting outside of marriage, 14:28 whether you're young and not married 14:30 or whether you are married, you're not to, 14:31 you know, cheat on your spouse. 14:33 But I think the definition, 14:35 and of course, purity encompasses that. 14:37 But I think it's so much higher and deeper 14:41 and broader than we could ever think 14:44 because purity goes to the root of the matter, 14:47 it goes to our hearts, it goes to what we think, 14:51 it goes to our emotions 14:53 and that's to me 14:55 where the cleansing needs to begin. 14:56 Amen. 14:57 You can try to clean up an outward act, 14:59 but that doesn't mean the inside changes. 15:01 Dee, you had a scripture in 1 John. 15:03 I don't know if that's the one you're looking at now. 15:05 Oh, yes, 1 John. 15:08 1 John Chapter 3:3 15:11 because to me this is what is purity. 15:14 Well, it's Jesus is pure, He's our example. 15:17 So it says, "And everyone who has this hope in Him 15:21 purifies himself, just as He is pure." 15:26 So our example who we look to is Jesus. 15:31 See, when we first come to the Lord, 15:34 when I first became a Christian, 15:38 I was pretty bad. 15:41 I was a mess. I was very... 15:44 I was not pure in any sense of the Word, 15:47 whether it was physical, mentally, 15:49 emotionally, or psychologically. 15:51 But the problem is, when I became a Christian 15:53 and I went into the church, who do I look at, 15:57 who do I end up comparing myself to? 15:59 Other Christians. 16:00 If I compare myself to Jill, 16:02 I have no chance of ever being pure. 16:05 I have to come to the point where I recognize 16:08 what Jill just talked about. 16:09 There's a big difference between innocence and purity. 16:13 God gave me the opportunity to be as pure as Jill. 16:17 That's right. Absolutely. 16:19 That's right. 16:21 But you have to accept that truth 16:22 and know it and that can take years 16:25 and can be very difficult. 16:26 Yes. 16:29 Because I had an aunt that I just thought 16:32 she had a perfect life, 16:34 she was this wonderful Christian, 16:35 she never had any troubles. 16:37 But once I became a Christian 16:38 and I had open conversation with her, 16:41 she was kind of like Jill. 16:42 Oh, Dee, you have no idea. 16:44 Yeah. That's right. 16:45 You know, I read Jill's book and I'm like, "Oh!" 16:48 I would talk to my Aunt... So Jill struggles too? 16:50 Of course. Absolutely. 16:52 It's different struggles. 16:54 Yeah. 16:55 But from my point of view, 16:57 for me to become pure as Christ is pure, 17:04 I have to accept His definition of me, 17:07 I have to accept. 17:09 Now I'm probably jumping to get ahead of 17:11 how to become pure 17:13 and to go through that and to accept it. 17:16 I think most people have a really hard time. 17:20 If you've been in the world and in... 17:24 I think men struggle with the same thing. 17:26 If you've had impure thoughts and you were impure physically 17:30 and led this horrible life, 17:35 you have a hard time forgiving yourself. 17:39 And it's not your own forgiveness you need, 17:42 it is God's forgiveness, 17:44 and then being able to go forward 17:46 and seeing what He says and what He does for you. 17:51 When I first came to work here, 17:55 it was very hard 17:56 because I just knew 17:59 that someday 18:00 somebody is going to walk through that door 18:02 and say, "How dare you call yourself a Christian? 18:07 I know who you are." 18:09 Because of the things from your past? 18:10 Things from my past. 18:12 But I reached the point of where I realized 18:16 and I accepted God's forgiveness. 18:22 I looked at... 18:24 I saw where God... 18:25 Okay, let's go to Ezekiel 11:19. 18:30 Ezekiel 11:19. 18:32 I had to reach the point where... 18:40 11:19, 18:42 "Then I will give them one heart, 18:44 and I will put a new spirit within them, 18:46 and take the stony heart out of their flesh, 18:49 and give them a heart of flesh." 18:53 I had to accept that. 18:55 Once I realized, I am a new creature in Christ, 18:59 I am not the old creature. 19:01 And it's okay if someone walks through 19:04 and calls me out and says, "I know who you are." 19:07 "No, you knew who I was. 19:11 You do not know who I am now. 19:14 I am new Christian in Christ and I am as pure as Jesus 19:18 because whatever I'm missing He covers in me." 19:22 And once I accept that, 19:26 it gives you the freedom 19:27 to start growing in sanctification, 19:31 and you quit, 19:33 you let go of the old self 19:35 and allow God to grow you in your thoughts, 19:38 in your mind, in your heart 19:40 so that you do become that. 19:41 Well said. Amen. 19:42 "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, 19:44 he is a brand new creation." 19:48 The old has gone. 19:49 And the... 19:50 "The new has come." 19:52 The new has come. 19:53 "Behold if any Man be in Christ he's a New Creature 19:55 Old things are Passed Away, 19:58 behold all things become new." 20:00 But you are not who you were. 20:02 That's God's viewpoint of me. 20:04 I have to accept that and embrace that 20:07 and so many of us will not do that. 20:10 But part of that is Romans 4:17, 20:13 "That God is the God who gives life to the dead 20:15 and calls things that are not as though they already were." 20:18 So when we look into the Word in Psalm 119, 20:22 it says that, "His Word is pure." 20:26 And as we look into the Word 20:28 and we find out who we are in Christ Jesus, 20:33 God sees us. 20:34 He knows He's going to complete the good work He's began. 20:37 And so He sees us as a finished product and He... 20:42 All of these promises are ours in Christ, 20:45 but we know, 20:46 "Hey, the old rears 20:48 its ugly head every now and then. 20:50 Yes. That's right. 20:51 You know, so it is more difficult. 20:53 That's why we have to accept it by faith 20:55 and that's why I think affirmations 20:57 are so important 20:58 because as you claim God's Word, 21:01 you're taking it, you know, 21:04 and saying, "Okay, Lord, 21:06 I may be calling things that are not as though 21:07 they already were, 21:09 but I know this is what You're doing in me." 21:11 And it gives you so much hope. 21:13 Yes. Amen. 21:14 I'm not going to say Revelation, 21:16 maybe an understanding 21:18 of the power of the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. 21:20 And where that blood is? 21:22 You know the scripture tells us that Jesus took his own blood. 21:25 Where did He take it? 21:27 Up into the heavenly sanctuary. 21:28 Where did He put it? 21:30 In the same place as they put the blood of lambs and goats 21:34 here in this earth and that was on the mercy seat. 21:38 So the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ 21:41 has been sprinkled in the heavenly sanctuary 21:45 just as the blood of bulls and goats 21:46 were sprinkled in the earthly sanctuary. 21:49 And now when God looks at us, 21:52 He looks at us through the blood, 21:54 He looks at us through the mercy seat. 21:56 And, you know what? 21:58 The scripture tells us that. 22:00 The blood of Jesus 22:01 speaks better things than the blood of... 22:08 Cain killed Abel, the blood of Abel. 22:11 So Jesus' Blood is speaking better things. 22:13 What did Abel's blood cry out from the ground? 22:15 Justice. Justice. 22:17 What does the blood of Jesus cry out for all of us? 22:19 Mercy. Mercy. 22:21 So when God looks at us, 22:24 He looks at us through the blood of His Son. 22:27 And, you know, when He sees us, 22:30 He sees us as though we have never sinned, 22:34 ever in our whole life. 22:36 He sees us as through the blood of His Son. 22:38 Now that is to me, that was liberating. 22:41 I know that I must, 22:43 and it's not that we don't sin 22:45 because the scripture says, all sinned. 22:47 That's right. 22:49 But if we confess our sins, and He cleanses us, 22:52 we come right back under that blood covering of protection. 22:56 Amen. 22:57 I want to look at a scripture, 1 Corinthians. 23:00 When you're talking about this, how God can cleanse us 23:03 and change us and purify us, it that makes me think of that. 23:06 1 Corinthians 6, 23:11 and if you look at verses 9 and 10, 23:14 it's a pretty serious list. 23:16 "Do you not know unrighteous will not inherit 23:19 the kingdom of God?" 23:20 So that all of us. We're all unrighteousness. 23:23 As it says, all our righteousness 23:24 is as filthy rags. 23:26 "Do not be deceived. 23:27 Neither fornicators," we're talking about that 23:29 with impurity. 23:31 "Nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals or sodomites, 23:35 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, 23:38 nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." 23:41 Now if it stopped there, I would be discouraged, right? 23:45 We would all say, "Father, where would I be? 23:47 There's no hope for me." 23:49 But the next verse, verse 11. 23:51 "And such were some of you." 23:54 I thing we could say, such were all of us. 23:58 "But you were washed, you were sanctified," 24:02 literally to make holy 24:04 or to be consecrated to set apart. 24:07 You were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus 24:10 and by the spirit of our God. 24:12 And so no matter what your past today, 24:15 God looks at you and says, 24:17 you can stand before the Father saying, 24:19 "I am washed, I am sanctified, I am justified, 24:23 I am made new in Christ Jesus." 24:26 And if you jump down just a couple verses, verse 18, 24:31 it says, "Flee sexual immorality." 24:34 We're in 1 Corinthians 6:18. 24:37 And in the Greek, the word for flee is habitus, 24:41 continual attitude and action. 24:45 So it doesn't mean, 24:46 "I flee sexual immorality once." 24:48 Or I say, "Okay, I'm saying no to this temptation 24:52 and then I'm good, God, the rest of my life, 24:54 I'm not going to battle with this." 24:56 This is a continual habitual attitude 25:01 and action that I'm going to say no, 25:03 I'm going to turn away from that sexual immorality. 25:08 And then verse 19, 25:10 "Do you not know your body 25:11 is the temple of the Holy Spirit?" 25:13 Now as Seventh-day Adventist, many times, 25:16 we refer to this as what? 25:17 A health talk, right? 25:19 Okay, so people say, 25:20 "Do you not know your body is the temple of God, 25:23 you need to eat healthier," right? 25:25 And there is truth to that 25:27 because our body is to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. 25:30 But specifically this is... 25:32 The whole section is talking about sexual immorality. 25:36 So when it's talking about here, 25:38 "We are the temple of the Holy Spirit." 25:40 He's talking about purity 25:41 because the Holy Spirit wants to live and dwell in us. 25:46 "Whom you have from God and you are not your own. 25:50 You were bought at a price, 25:52 therefore, glorify God in your body 25:54 and in your spirit which are God's." 25:58 So you might be watching today and you might be saying, 26:03 "I'm actually bought," 26:05 because some people watch and you might be involved 26:08 in the sex traffic slave right now. 26:11 Some people might be already feeling like their belonging, 26:14 you might feel like you belong to someone else, 26:16 but God says, 26:18 "I bought you, I created you, I died for you, 26:22 I redeemed you, 26:24 I can set you free, 26:26 I can purify you no matter you've been, 26:29 no matter what you've done." 26:31 God says, "I want to stand you up 26:34 and I want to cleanse you and I want to make you whole." 26:37 Amen. 26:38 Jill, I just have to say this 26:40 because, oh, this happened 15 years ago 26:43 I suppose that as I was pressing 26:47 into the presence of the Lord, really praying, 26:49 and asking for His direction in some ministry matters. 26:52 One thing that He really impressed upon me 26:55 that He wanted me to say this as often as I went out 26:59 and I try to remember, I don't always, 27:01 but I do want to share with you at home right now. 27:04 What the Lord said was, 27:06 tell the people that they are... 27:09 You know, some of you who are watching right now, 27:14 you have been told you're worthless, 27:17 you will never amount to anything, 27:20 that is a lie of the devil. 27:22 And what God wants you to know is 27:24 you are worth nothing less 27:27 than the price that He paid for you 27:29 with the blood of Jesus Christ. 27:32 That just... 27:34 When He said that I thought, 27:36 "That is the most amazing thing." 27:38 And you know what I mean when I said He said it? 27:40 It was that still small voice 27:42 that impressed this thought upon my mind. 27:44 But let me... May I share something with you? 27:46 This is so exciting 27:48 because I learned something in just the short time 27:50 and putting something together for today. 27:54 Psalm 51:7, 27:57 after David had sinned with Bathsheba, 28:02 guilty of murder, 28:04 Nathan the prophet came to him 28:05 and told him the story of the rich man 28:08 and the poor man, 28:09 that the rich man who had many flocks, 28:11 poor man with one little lamb, 28:13 how he had taken that one little lamb 28:15 to feed a stranger. 28:17 And David was so incensed and said, "He should die." 28:22 Yeah, you know, 28:23 "This man should be put to death." 28:25 And Nathan says, "You are the man," 28:28 because he had taken the wife of another. 28:31 And now Psalm 51, 28:34 it's the most beautiful Psalm of repentance, 28:38 a great pattern for a prayer of repentance. 28:42 But he says this in verse 7, 28:45 "Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean." 28:49 He's praying to the Lord. 28:51 "Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." 28:57 The interesting thing is, you know, 28:59 this is even when Isaiah was saying, you know, 29:04 "I'm a man of unclean lips, oh, Lord." 29:07 And they took the coal from the altar 29:09 and touched his mouth and what they say? 29:11 "Your sin has been purged." 29:14 Yes. 29:15 Did you know that the word for purged 29:17 is the same word as the word, 29:20 it's a synonym for atone or for redeem. 29:24 Oh, that's good. 29:26 Isn't that exciting? Yes. 29:28 So that word the theological meaning 29:32 of atonement or redemption 29:35 are to be redeemed, to have your sin purged, 29:38 means it's been covered over 29:40 just like we're talking about the blood on the mercy seat. 29:44 So to me, that is so exciting when you... 29:49 Because you say... 29:50 You know, we talk about pruning, 29:52 we talk about different aspects of things, 29:56 but when you talk about purging your sin, 30:00 that's like, "Oh, Lord, purge my sin." 30:03 And He says, "I have redeemed you." 30:06 I have... 30:07 You know, I have atoned for your sin. 30:10 Whoo! 30:12 That's deep. 30:13 That is. I love that thought. 30:15 I was looking that up to the... 30:17 And to have that accepted because I think many people... 30:22 What you said at first, 30:24 when you tell people their value, 30:26 see that was from a very young age, 30:28 I was taught I was not loveable, 30:31 I was not a value. 30:33 So that is very hard for people to overcome 30:37 and tell you become a new person 30:40 until you realize that 30:43 Jesus sees you through His value, 30:47 His blood, His mercy seat, 30:49 that He didn't come to condemn you 30:51 where it talks about it and Psalms 51 is awesome. 30:54 Yes, it is. 30:55 If you're hurting 30:57 and you're in pain and you can't... 30:58 Amen. 31:00 Start reading Psalms 51 because... 31:02 and you're asking the Lord, "Create in me a new heart." 31:05 What verse are you in? Oh, that's in 10. 31:08 "Create in me a clean heart, O Lord, 31:09 and renew a steadfast spirit in me. 31:12 Do not cast me away from Your presence, 31:15 do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 31:18 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation 31:21 and uphold me with Your generous Spirit." 31:25 See, embrace that 31:28 and ask the Lord to help you see yourself 31:31 through His eyes and His mercy and His love 31:35 and He will walk you through that path 31:37 so that you accept that atonement, 31:40 that purity 31:42 that you will become that in spirit. 31:44 And it will affect... 31:47 I like that you said that... 31:48 We so often take that one scripture 31:53 about we're the temple of God and we apply it to help. 31:56 When we talk about... 31:57 You will see that it said the spirit also. 32:00 So we are the temple of God in every area, 32:04 whether it's our mind, our physical, our emotion, 32:08 our spirit is all God's dwelling place. 32:13 You are in every area. 32:14 It just amazes me 32:16 that we are the living temple of the living God 32:19 that He wants to make his home in us too. 32:23 He's knocking at the door, 32:24 He wants to come in and have supper with us, 32:26 that He wants to abide in us, that's amazing. 32:28 Amen. Amen. 32:30 That word oikos to dwell with us 32:32 to settle down and dwell. 32:34 And you think the God of the universe. 32:36 You know, Jesus wants to come and actually dwell with us. 32:40 It's incredible. 32:42 We've kind of touched on this as we're talking, 32:43 the difference between conviction and condemnation 32:47 because the Lord convicts us of sin and that's a good thing. 32:51 But how do we know 32:53 if what I'm dealing with is conviction for something 32:56 and God wants to cleanse me 32:58 or am I suffering under condemnation? 33:02 Well, I think godly sorrow brings repentance. 33:04 When the conviction comes up on us, 33:07 it gives us a sorrow 33:08 that we want to reach out to the Lord 33:11 and it brings repentance as what the scripture says. 33:14 Condemnation on the other hand is, 33:18 and boy, there are so many people 33:20 who are under condemnation. 33:22 When the devil... 33:23 I just say it's like He hands you a baseball bat 33:26 and you just wing, bowing, you just keep beating yourself 33:30 over the head with that bat of condemnation. 33:35 And condemnation leaves you hopeless. 33:38 Yes. 33:40 So, you know, I love the scripture that says, 33:42 there is, "Therefore now no condemnation 33:44 for those who are in Christ Jesus, 33:46 who walk according to the spirit 33:48 not according to the flesh." 33:50 John 3:16. See, we don't go to John 17. 33:54 John 3:17. John 3:17. 33:57 "For God did not send His Son into the world 33:59 to condemn the world, 34:01 but that the world through Him might be saved." 34:03 So once you... 34:06 This is how you know when it's, 34:08 whether, where you're at 34:10 is because once you have been convicted 34:13 and you know when you 34:15 truly, truly ask for forgiveness, 34:18 you know that. 34:19 So when you've asked for forgiveness 34:22 and you truly repent, God has forgiven you. 34:25 Amen. 34:27 So if it comes back again, that's from Satan, 34:30 and it needs to be rejected. 34:33 Mollie, you. Yes, Mollie. 34:35 Well, conviction shows you the answer. 34:36 Okay. 34:38 Condemnation shows you the problem. 34:40 Oh, that's good. 34:42 Condemnation tells you you're a failure, 34:44 look at what you did. 34:46 And conviction says, 34:48 "Come unto me and I'll forgive you." 34:49 Amen. 34:51 So once the answer, once the problem. 34:53 So you... So here's the litmus test. 34:56 Are you feeling like a failure or do you have hope? 35:00 Your hope would only be in the Lord Jesus Christ. 35:03 Shun condemnation because there is therefore now 35:07 no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. 35:10 And if that conviction is showing you, "Come unto me, 35:14 all ye that labor and are heavy laden, 35:16 and I will give you rest." 35:17 If it's that drawing of the Lord, 35:19 He's convicting you and He's saying, "I love you, 35:22 I'll cling you, I'll forgive you, 35:24 you'll stand before Me once again 35:27 pure and white as the driven snow." 35:29 Amen. 35:31 You know, I think in my experience 35:32 that conviction from God, 35:33 from the Holy Spirit never brings shame. 35:37 You know what I'm saying? Satan, the condemnation. 35:40 I've had boatloads of shame from Satan. 35:42 But when God brings conviction to my heart, 35:45 yes, there's a sorrow for the sin that I committed. 35:47 There's, there's a desire to, "Oh, Father, 35:50 I don't want that and I want to become pure." 35:53 But there's never that sense of, 35:54 "I'm stomped," under anyone's foot, 35:57 that comes from the enemy. 35:58 Amen. Let's look at a story. 36:01 I'm thinking of... 36:02 There's several stories we could look at. 36:04 But let's look at John 8, 36:05 the woman caught in the very act of adultery. 36:08 And speaking of shame, if anyone were to feel shame, 36:12 it would be this woman who was caught in the very act 36:14 and dragged before the people who were accusing her. 36:18 Let's take a look at that in John 8. 36:20 And I'll just say this while we're turning. 36:24 Why didn't they... 36:25 If she was caught in the act. 36:28 It takes two to act. 36:29 So where was the man? 36:31 Why did they just drag the poor woman? 36:34 That's just all I have to say on that. 36:38 So let's read, it's just 11 verses here, I guess. 36:41 So well, maybe 12. 36:43 Let's start and we'll just go around the circle 36:44 and read some. 36:46 Dee, you wanna start? 36:47 "But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives 36:50 early in the morning, 36:51 He came again into the temple, 36:52 and all the people came to Him, 36:54 and He sat down and taught them. 36:57 And then the scribes and Pharisees 36:59 brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. 37:03 And when they had set her in the midst, 37:07 they said to Him, 37:09 'Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery 37:12 in the very act.'" 37:14 "Now Moses, in the law, commanded us 37:17 that such should be stoned. 37:20 But what do You say? 37:21 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something 37:25 of which to accuse Him." 37:28 "But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground 37:31 with His finger as though He did not hear. 37:34 So when they continued asking Him, 37:37 He raised Himself up and said to them, 37:40 'He who is without sin among you, 37:43 let him throw a stone at her first.'" 37:47 "And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 37:50 Then those who heard it, 37:51 being convicted by their conscience, 37:54 went out one by one beginning with the oldest 37:57 even to the last. 38:00 And Jesus was left alone 38:01 and the woman standing in the midst." 38:06 Dee? 38:07 "When Jesus had raised Himself up 38:10 and saw no one but the woman, 38:12 He said to her, 38:14 'Woman, where are those... 38:18 where are those accusers of yours? 38:21 Has no one condemned you?'" 38:24 "She said, 'No one, Lord.' 38:26 And Jesus said to her, 'Neither do I condemn you, 38:31 go and sin no more.'" 38:33 I love that. 38:34 I love those words. I love that. 38:36 She did... 38:37 He didn't condemn her, He didn't condone it, 38:40 but He didn't condemn her. 38:42 He just told her, "Don't do it anymore." 38:44 Amen. Yeah. 38:45 I can remember my children. 38:49 I thought I was a strict disciplinarian 38:51 and I had made that statement 38:56 in a group and DD and Jeremy were both there 38:58 and said, "I'm a strict disciplinarian." 39:00 And they both almost at once started saying, 39:03 "No, you're not. 39:04 This is what you do. 39:05 You tell us, 'Now don't do it again.'" 39:08 And that was hoping they'd learned their lesson 39:12 from the experience. 39:14 But I didn't go and condemn them 39:16 or punish them. 39:18 It was just, "Now don't do it anymore." 39:20 So I don't know, that was a... 39:23 That's a loving heart, 39:24 but it wasn't a condemning heart. 39:26 Amen. 39:27 Put yourself in the woman shoes here 39:29 in this story or this situation. 39:31 What lessons do you think 39:34 we can learn from her perspective? 39:39 Are you looking at me? Anyone. 39:41 I love how Jesus finished this section off. 39:45 He spoke to them again, saying, 39:47 "I am the light of the world. 39:49 He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, 39:52 but have the light of life." 39:54 I think this woman probably learned that 39:59 she could not trust in man, but she met someone 40:05 in whom she could trust. 40:07 She had most likely been 40:09 suffering condemnation most of her life, 40:12 had a very low opinion of herself, 40:18 probably didn't think she was worth much. 40:21 But when she met Jesus, she looked into His eyes. 40:25 And one thing we all look for, one thing we all need 40:29 and I'm sure if you're sitting at home 40:30 you can say yes to this, 40:32 every human being wants to be understood. 40:35 Absolutely. 40:37 And here she looked into somebody's eyes, 40:41 His love just penetrated her heart. 40:43 She knew He understood and He said to her 40:47 "I don't condemn you either, go and sin no more." 40:51 So I think she realized that 40:54 there are second chances in life 40:56 It's good. It's good. 40:57 He gave her hope. 41:01 He gave her hope and He gave her love 41:03 because even though He knew her... 41:06 Like you said, Jesus knows you, God knows you, 41:10 the very essence of who you are 41:13 and yet He still loves and accepts you 41:16 and gives you hope. 41:18 He wants to lift you up 41:22 to who He created you to be 41:26 and He gives you hope that... 41:27 He accepts you as you are, 41:29 but He loves you too much to leave you that way. 41:30 Amen. That's exactly the words. 41:32 Amen. Amen. 41:34 But He's the one who does the changing. 41:35 Amen. 41:36 I mean to me, that's incredible. 41:38 It's not our job to look at other people 41:41 and say, "Oh, you need to grow in this area. 41:43 Oh, you have a situation over here. 41:46 I see a little sin here." 41:47 That's not our place. 41:50 And it's interesting to me in the story 41:53 that neither did outright, 41:56 Jesus did not condemn the men who dragged her either. 42:00 Now he wrote the sins and the saint, 42:03 but I don't think He put people's names next to it, 42:06 but they were convicted in their own heart 42:09 of what they had done. 42:10 So here, they are more at fault than her as it were, 42:13 you know, with their sins and Jesus is recognizing that 42:16 and writing them down, 42:17 but He's not saying, now, you know, you Simon, did this 42:20 and you did this James and you did this, right? 42:23 He doesn't expose them that way. 42:26 They just knew in the... In their heart. 42:28 In their heart. 42:29 God, Jesus gave her justice of it. 42:33 And all... Even those men saw justice there and not shame. 42:39 He didn't shame them. 42:40 They saw mercy, 42:42 but also they saw Jesus' justice. 42:45 Yeah. Amen. 42:47 Yeah. 42:48 Mollie, you have something on that 42:49 before we move to the next one? 42:51 Well, in thinking about her standing there 42:56 and her being publicly exposed, 42:59 how much the shame and humiliation 43:01 had to have been, 43:03 you know, it's one thing when we are convicted 43:09 or condemned privately about what we know, 43:13 but to be publicly shamed. 43:16 And then for Jesus to tell her, "Neither do I condemn you. 43:22 Go, and sin no more." 43:24 What that had to have done for her? 43:26 Amen. 43:27 And even for the ones, the men that were also... 43:31 You know, all of us carry our load of guilt and I... 43:37 You know, I'm thinking about pride goes before destruction 43:40 and a hearty spirit before a fall. 43:42 And I think one of the greatest sins 43:45 is that sin of spiritual superiority. 43:49 And so if anyone starts thinking 43:52 that they are better than someone else, 43:56 and I know that we... 43:58 And looking at this part of the opposite of purity, 44:05 not complete definition, 44:06 but the Bible touches a lot on it, 44:09 the opposite of purity is immorality. 44:13 And in looking at immorality, 44:15 the Bible looks a whole lot at sexual immorality. 44:20 And so in looking at that, we have to understand 44:25 that God is calling us to a higher level. 44:29 And I looked at a scripture, it's 1 Corinthians 7:1. 44:36 It says, "Now concerning the things 44:38 about which you wrote, 44:40 it is good for a man not to touch a woman." 44:44 Now it's just difficult for... 44:48 You shake hands with a man, 44:50 you know, you can't take that totally, literally, 44:53 but it is really touching 44:55 on something that is inappropriate. 44:59 And the Greek word for touch is the word that means 45:03 rubbing two sticks together to start a fire. 45:06 So now doesn't that give you a different thought when... 45:09 That's not like a simple handshake? 45:11 It means something different. 45:13 A flame hug. Yeah. 45:14 Right, this is something different. 45:16 You know, what is Paul telling us? 45:19 It's better to avoid any kind of touch 45:23 that will kindle a fire. 45:25 And for some, that could mean mostly any touch. 45:30 So, you know, holding hands in our church, 45:34 we, with our young people, we had good youth pastors, 45:40 and they taught the children, our young teens, 45:44 that holding hands and it was the beginning 45:48 and they would take them on to where it's going to end. 45:50 So it's better not, the arm, the hug around the shoulders, 45:55 hugs, they were just saying, 45:58 do not put yourself in a position 46:01 where something can progress. 46:02 And they were teaching our children sexual purity. 46:07 And now we've already touched on the fact 46:09 that there's a lot more to purity 46:12 than just that one aspect but that is one aspect 46:15 that we have really looked at a lot in the Word. 46:19 And so it's easy for us to say, "You know, 46:26 I would never do anything like that." 46:29 But the enemy's first attack in the garden was the deception 46:34 of lies and half truths. 46:37 He hasn't changed his tactics, these many thousands of years, 46:42 justice subjects. 46:44 And now it's not Eve 46:47 that the enemy is trying to deceive 46:50 into immorality or into rejecting God's Word, 46:55 it's every one of us. 46:57 So we just need to be wise. Amen. 46:59 You know, I know we want to get to some prayer time here 47:02 before the end of the program to spend some time in prayer. 47:05 But before we do that, we've talked here about 47:08 the purity that God wants to give us. 47:10 We talked about condemnation versus conviction. 47:13 We talked about how no matter what our past, 47:16 God can cleanse us and purify us and stand us up 47:20 before the Father as if we have never sinned. 47:22 So I want to take just a moment 47:24 and give you each just a couple moments here 47:26 and we'll go around the circle. 47:28 Give me some practical steps. 47:31 We talked about how to become pure 47:33 and Psalm 51 and, 47:34 "Father, create in me a clean heart," 47:36 and all of that, that cleansing from sin. 47:38 But what about practical steps to continue the walk in purity? 47:42 Now, Mollie, you were just giving us practical steps 47:45 from the standpoint of being careful 47:47 of who you touch and how you touch 47:50 and the type of touch and all of that. 47:52 But what about any other practical steps? 47:55 It could be outward physical 47:56 or it could be practical steps for the heart, 48:00 something to preserve that emotional purity. 48:01 Shelly? 48:02 I have two quick scriptures that I'd like to read. 48:05 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, "But we all with unveiled face 48:10 beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord 48:13 are being transformed into the same image 48:15 from glory to glory, 48:17 just as by the Spirit of the Lord." 48:20 So I would say a practical step is to understand 48:26 we become what we behold. 48:28 And if we want to get into the Word, 48:31 behold the Lord of God. 48:33 Another practical step would be Luke 11:9, 48:36 where Jesus said, 48:38 "Ask, and you will receive, seek, 48:40 and you will find, knock, and the door will be open." 48:43 So it's that continual day by day asking God 48:47 to fill you with the Holy Spirit. 48:51 But the other one I would like to share 48:53 would be Philippians 4:8, where Paul says... 48:58 And this is something that... 49:00 This scripture is so powerful. 49:02 He says, "Whatever things are true, 49:04 whatever things are noble, just pure, lovely, 49:09 whatever things are of good report, 49:11 if there is any virtue 49:13 and if there is anything praiseworthy, 49:16 meditate on these things." 49:18 See, when we talk about the dangers of media, 49:23 it is something that if every night 49:25 we go home from work and turn on the television 49:28 and we're were watching Cops and Robbers program 49:30 or even Western, it seem to be, 49:33 you know, they may not have any cursing in them, 49:35 but you just see the violence and the killing. 49:37 If we are concentrating on things 49:41 that are not pure and of good report, 49:44 it does affect our brain. 49:45 So we need to stay in the Word, concentrate on the Lord. 49:47 Amen. Dee? 49:49 You know, I actually have this on my mirror. 49:52 Proverbs 3 49:56 and I'm gonna start with verse 5. 49:58 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, 50:01 and lean not on your own understanding. 50:03 In all your ways, acknowledge Him, 50:05 and He shall direct your paths. 50:07 Do not be wise in your own eyes, 50:10 fear the Lord and depart from evil. 50:12 It will be health to your flesh, 50:13 and strength to your bones." 50:15 Now practically speaking, 50:19 I think that things start in our head. 50:20 I agree. 50:21 Thoughts come in our head, 50:23 things, that's the temptation we don't have to fall to it. 50:25 But we have to be prepared instantly 50:27 what are we going to do with that thought. 50:30 It only takes seconds to dwell on it and it traps us. 50:33 It grows. 50:35 I have praise. 50:37 The minute something walks into my head 50:39 that shouldn't be there, 50:41 I have two or three praise songs 50:43 that I just start singing in my head. 50:46 And we need to be prepared with something. 50:48 Have a weapon that you... Make a decision. 50:51 What is your weapon 50:52 when something comes into your head? 50:54 Be ready to throw it out 50:56 and you've got to replace it with something, 50:58 it doesn't have to be a praise song, 51:00 you just figure out what your weapon is 51:02 to replace it instantly. 51:03 Amen. That's powerful. 51:04 Mollie, just a minute and then we'll go to prayer. 51:06 Okay. 51:07 What does the Psalmist say 51:08 he does so that he won't sin against God? 51:10 "Thy Word have I hid in my heart..." 51:12 "Thy word have I hid in my heart 51:13 that I might not sin against thee." 51:15 And so we want to walk with... 51:17 We want to have those clean hands and pure heart 51:19 because who is going to ascend into the very presence of God? 51:23 We got to have clean hands and a pure heart. 51:25 And it doesn't just fall on you. 51:28 You know, it does stay. 51:29 You know, we are saved by grace. 51:30 It's not of works. 51:32 It's a free gift, 51:34 but we do need to be obedient to God's word 51:39 and to fill our hearts with God's Word 51:41 and allow this Word to become so strong within us 51:46 that it will speak louder than the words of the world. 51:48 And, you know, the Scripture says, 51:51 "Guard your heart with all vigilance 51:53 and above all that you guard 51:55 for out of it flow the issues of life." 51:57 Two ways things get into your heart, 51:59 that is through your ears and through your eyes, 52:01 so you want to protect your heart from soiling you, 52:05 from making you impure. 52:07 The way you guard yourself is that you don't allow things 52:11 through your eye gate or your ear gate. 52:13 It's very simple to do. 52:15 If you're watching something that you shouldn't, 52:17 change the channel to 3ABN. 52:20 And if you're listening to something that you shouldn't, 52:23 turn it off. 52:25 And don't, you know, 52:26 anything that would bring impurity 52:28 into your heart, and then study God's Word 52:32 to show yourself approved 52:34 "A workman that needeth not be ashamed, 52:36 but rightly dividing the Word of Truth." 52:38 The Psalmist hid God's word in his heart 52:41 so he wouldn't sin. 52:43 Amen. 52:44 Thank you each, so much powerful. 52:46 I think one of my favorites would be Romans 13:14. 52:49 "Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision 52:52 for the flesh to fulfill its lusts." 52:54 And in my own experience, that means, 52:56 if that book tempts me, toss it, you know? 52:59 If this magazine is, 53:00 is pulling me away from Jesus, get rid of that. 53:03 Whatever it is, 53:05 make no provision for the flash. 53:06 We want to spend some time in prayer. 53:08 And know that no matter where you have been 53:10 or what you have done, the Lord Jesus loves you. 53:13 He wants to cleanse you and stand you up. 53:15 And He doesn't stand us up just to, 53:18 "Okay, now we're pure." 53:19 No. 53:21 It is to share that with others and it is a daily communion 53:25 and walking with the Lord Jesus 53:27 as our best friend and as our Father. 53:29 We just have a few moments. 53:31 We'll start with Dee and if we go around the circle 53:33 and spend just a little time in prayer. 53:37 Our Dear Heavenly Father, 53:39 just thank you for the purity of Your spirit 53:42 that You will fill us with Your spirit, 53:44 that You will change us, that You love us so much 53:48 that You will walk us down the path 53:50 that we need to go down that we will stand before you, 53:54 that we will spend eternity in heaven with You, 53:57 wrapped in Your love, Lord 54:00 because we will be like You in those days. 54:03 Oh, Father, help each of us grow in that direction. 54:07 Father, let us keep our eyes on You 54:10 and let us be lights to this world 54:13 that will draw everyone to you Father. 54:14 Thank you. 54:16 We just praise You and we thank You 54:17 for your sacrifice, in Jesus' name. 54:20 Amen. 54:21 Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ 54:23 to ask that you would give us clean hands and a pure heart. 54:28 We ask in the name of Jesus, Father, 54:30 that You would help us to recognize 54:34 when we are not pleasing to you, Lord, 54:37 when our actions are off the path of Your ways. 54:43 And we thank You for the promise 54:45 of 1 John 1:9 that, 54:47 "When we confess our sins before You, 54:49 You're faithful just to cleanse us of all, 54:53 not only forgive our sins 54:55 but to cleanse us all in righteousness." 54:57 Thank You, Father. 54:58 So, Father, help us to keep our eyes 55:00 focused on You, 55:02 fill us with Your spirit day by day, 55:04 lead us by your good spirit from one level of Your glory, 55:08 one level of Your character to the next. 55:10 Thank you, Father. 55:12 Father, I bring everyone us, everyone that's listening, 55:15 everyone that's viewing, 55:16 all of us here in this room, Father, 55:18 I stand just before You, boldly coming before You, 55:21 the throne of grace, Lord. 55:23 And, oh, Father, 55:25 here is my prayer for all of us. 55:27 Search us, O God, and know our hearts. 55:30 Try us and know our thoughts. 55:33 See if there be any evil way in us, Father, 55:35 and lead us in the path that's everlasting. 55:38 We give You permission, O God, to look into our hearts 55:42 and to bring to the surface in that purifying, 55:46 in that perfecting process, Lord, 55:48 bring to the surface the drought. 55:50 Father, bring it to the surface that we can deal with it. 55:53 For, Lord, our hearts' cry is that we will stand before You 55:57 with clean hands and a pure heart. 55:59 Thank you, Father God. 56:00 Let the words of our mouths 56:02 and the meditations of our hear 56:05 be acceptable in Your side is our prayer, in Jesus' name. 56:10 And Father as we continue in prayer, 56:12 we thank You for the blood of Jesus 56:14 that cleanses us from all sin. 56:16 We thank you that by the power of your spirit, 56:19 You enable us with Your white robe of righteousness 56:23 to stand before the Father justified 56:26 as if we have never sinned. 56:29 Right now, we accept the purity, 56:31 the spotless purity of Jesus, 56:34 and we want to walk in that purity every day, 56:37 Lord, by looking to You, by focusing on You, 56:41 by spending time in Your Word. 56:43 We thank You for the work you've done. 56:45 I pray for my brothers and sisters at home 56:47 that they would know who they are in Jesus 56:51 and experience that sense of value, 56:55 that sense of love, that sense of purity, 56:58 that only You can give. 57:00 We thank You for Your goodness and Your mercies, 57:03 and we ask this in the precious and the holy name of Jesus. 57:07 Amen. 57:08 Thank you so much, 57:10 Dee and Shelly and Miss Mollie, 57:12 for coming and for sharing. 57:14 I know God's going to use 57:15 what you have shared to minister 57:17 and bless many people at home. 57:19 And we thank you for joining us as well. 57:22 Know that we consider you a part of the 3ABN family. 57:26 That we will be praying for you that God would cleanse you 57:30 and stand you up to be all He's called you to be 57:33 as His son and daughter. 57:35 We'll see you next time. Happy Sabbath. |
