I edit. 01:45 I host a program called Crossroads. 01:48 And it's just a privilege and honor 01:50 to be a part of this ministry. 01:52 And I'm privileged and honored to be here for family worship. 01:55 I know I enjoy listening to you as I'm going down the road, 01:58 lots of interesting interviews 02:01 you have done and what a blessing. 02:02 The Lord has given me 02:04 great people, great testimonies. 02:06 Pastor John, do you do anything at 3ABN? 02:10 I fill in every now and then. 02:13 I go on House Calls, and A Sharper Focus, 02:16 and Today program, 02:18 and whatever else the Lord allowed me to do. 02:19 Evangelism. Evangelism. 02:22 Singing. Pastor of the church. 02:23 Yes, all kind of things. And I enjoy it. 02:25 But, today I'm glad to be 02:27 kind of not in the anchor's seat, 02:28 but to be here with you and Kenny, Pastor Kenny. 02:30 Well, we thank... 02:32 Well, you are a part of our anchor, 02:33 so we're really thankful to have you. 02:35 And then over to my right, 02:37 Pastor Kenny is a beautiful young lady. 02:41 Yeah, and I think she's a little blood, 02:43 a little blood or two. 02:45 Well, I feel like everybody's blood around here, 02:48 you know, it's good. 02:49 Is that your baby sister? That's my baby sister. 02:51 That's right. That's right. 02:52 I'm the baby. Let's be clear, let's be clear. 02:58 I'm the only so I would be the baby... 03:00 You know, that's right. 03:02 And his favorite. 03:03 She's my favorite. Oh, that's right. 03:06 One and only. That's right. 03:07 And of course Bruce, you know... 03:09 My husband. Yeah, your husband Bruce. 03:11 And what a blessing it's been over the years. 03:14 Bruce been a blessing to us 03:15 and you've been a blessing to us. 03:17 And Lomacang's had been a blessing to us. 03:20 So it's good to be able to have blessings around the table. 03:22 That's right. 03:23 And tonight we're going to talk about 03:25 angel's armor and promises. 03:28 And to open our program before we have prayer, 03:31 let me just read this. 03:32 It's found in Acts of the Apostles page, 03:35 154 and it reads, 03:38 "We need to understand 03:39 better than we do the mission of angels." 03:42 So I'm looking forward to hearing 03:43 some angel stories here tonight. 03:45 I don't know 03:46 if we'll get to the armor and the promises, 03:48 but I think, I'm looking forward 03:50 to some angel's stories. 03:52 "It would be well to remember that every true child of God 03:56 has co-operation of heavenly beings." 03:59 What a promise. We can stop right there. 04:01 What a promise, how neat. 04:04 Invisible armies of light and power 04:06 attend the meek and lowly ones 04:09 who believe to claim the promises of God. 04:11 Cherubim and Seraphim, 04:13 and the angels that excel in strength, 04:16 stand at God's right hand, 04:17 'all ministering spirit sent forth to minister for them 04:22 who shall listen to this, 04:23 who shall be heirs of salvation." 04:27 Isn't that beautiful? God has not left us. 04:31 In fact, I kind of give it a subtitle, 04:33 Angel armor and promises and arsenal of heavenly power. 04:39 Pastor Kenny, would you open our study tonight with... 04:42 Absolutely! 04:43 So we're going to invite those of you home please, 04:45 pray along with us you know, 04:46 you may have an opportunity to get on your knees, 04:47 you may not be able to do that, 04:49 there are some who will be listening 04:50 and others will be watching, 04:51 but we're so happy that you have joined us. 04:53 And we want you to pray with us, 04:55 we need the power of the Holy Spirit. 04:56 So would you pray with us? Amen. 04:58 Our loving Father in heaven, 04:59 we thank You for another Sabbath day. 05:01 We thank You for Your precious love 05:03 that You have for each and every one of us. 05:05 Lord, already our hearts have been touched 05:08 as we've read about these ministering angels 05:11 that you've assigned one to each and every one of us 05:13 to watch over every step that we take. 05:16 Lord, we're very grateful and thankful for that. 05:19 Now, we pray for the power of thy Holy Spirit 05:21 to consume each and every one of your children 05:23 here around this table. 05:24 Lord, we want to know more about You, 05:26 we want to learn more about these ministering angels 05:29 that are to guide, and guard, and protect, 05:31 and to help us 05:33 just shows us sign of love from heaven 05:35 that's coming down upon us. 05:36 And so, Lord, we pray now that You'll bless those 05:38 that are at home, those listening, 05:40 those who are watching, 05:41 those who maybe have had a very difficult week, 05:43 but as they take this time now to sit down 05:46 and let the cares of this world pass by. 05:49 We pray that each one of us will bask in Your love 05:51 and in Your presence. 05:53 May the Holy Spirit now descend upon each one of our hearts 05:55 and our minds and may we be lifted 05:57 as it were to the very throne room of God. 05:59 We're to come boldly to the throne room of God. 06:02 Not because of who we are, but because of Jesus Christ. 06:06 Bless now, we pray every word that said and done. 06:08 May each one of us hide behind the cross of Calvary, 06:11 may only Jesus be seen and heard. 06:13 This is what we need to do 06:14 and we're going to thank You in advance. 06:16 And thank You for the precious souls now 06:18 that join with us in Jesus' name, amen. 06:20 Amen. 06:21 You know, family at home, and family around the table, 06:25 there are many times that we may be in the presence 06:28 of angels and never know it. 06:30 But, you know, as he was praying 06:32 and talking about being in the throne room of heaven, 06:35 I was thinking about some times 06:37 where I felt that I was and I did see an angel. 06:41 And, you know, at those times, 06:44 you get a feeling like 06:45 you're in a heavenly atmosphere. 06:47 Oh, absolutely. 06:49 And I'm going to read here, 06:50 I know I've shared with you viewers 06:52 not too long ago 06:53 back at the beginning of this year, 06:54 Pastor Kenney had had a health crisis, 06:58 and we were stuck in Florida. 07:00 And one night, I won't tell you all the details, 07:02 but one night in the middle of the night they came, 07:04 and they told us get up 07:06 because we were going to be transported, 07:08 and this was about one o'clock in the morning. 07:10 We're going to be transported 07:11 from one hospital to another hospital 07:14 in downtown Orlando. 07:16 And I thought, 07:17 "Wow, it was tough enough for me 07:19 to get out and drive 07:21 during the daytime in that city, 07:23 but here it was at night." 07:24 And I had like at least four bags I believe, 07:27 there were a couple of bags and couple pieces of luggage 07:31 and to make a long story short, I was a little bit leery. 07:35 But the beautiful thing is the ambulance driver 07:38 he looked at me, 07:39 and they weren't supposed to take our luggage, 07:41 but one reached out and he took a luggage, 07:43 one reached out and took a bag. 07:45 So that gave me just, 07:47 you know, two armfuls to carry out 07:49 into the parking lot. 07:51 And as I was departing and leaving you, 07:55 and going down out of the hospital, 07:57 I remember because 07:58 I had read in Spirit of Prophecy 08:00 where Mrs. White was told, 08:02 you know, it in certain instances 08:03 that you can call for an extra angel. 08:06 And I felt that in my heart that night 08:08 and I just remember walking through the corridor 08:11 and almost to the door and I said, 08:13 "Lord, please send an extra angel 08:16 if I need any." 08:18 And so I went, and I got in the car, 08:19 everything was fine, everything, 08:21 you know, was kind of dark out there, 08:22 but I waited at the front gate 08:24 for that ambulance to come around. 08:26 And they didn't even slow down to tell me 08:27 if that was the right one or not. 08:29 And so I'm following through and trying to get close enough 08:34 'cause they had all their lights on 08:35 and I thought, 08:37 "Oh, wow, what if he's not in this one." 08:39 And I just kept trying to get a close up, 08:42 a close up, they were whizzing past, 08:43 you know how it is in Florida, 08:45 you're always the tolls 08:46 and I didn't stopped at any tolls, 08:48 I stayed right behind that ambulance. 08:50 And I finally got close enough and I looked in there 08:52 and I thought, "Oh, good, that's right." 08:54 When I looked to him and I thought, 08:56 "He's in there having a Bible study." 08:58 And sure enough he was. Praise the Lord. 09:01 And I was so thankful that they let me follow 09:04 'cause there was so much construction 09:05 and wiggling and waggling. 09:07 And you drove with me in Florida, 09:09 and I wasn't the best driver in Florida, was I, Tam? 09:11 No. My mind was somewhere else. 09:14 So I was really thankful that the Lord, 09:16 you know, enabled me to follow that ambulance. 09:19 But we get to the hospital 09:21 and I hadn't been to Florida hospital 09:22 since the '80s. 09:24 You know, long, long time. 09:25 And at night, at 2 o'clock in the morning, 09:27 1.30 to 2.00, 09:28 it doesn't look the same, brother, 09:30 I should say, all I saw was dark. 09:31 And ambulance started to go kind of underground. 09:35 And he stopped, he rolled his window, 09:37 and he says, "Ma'am, 09:38 you're going to have to go up to the next right, 09:40 make a right, 09:41 and then another right, another right, 09:42 and go back to that parking garage." 09:45 I thought parking garage? 09:46 Well, maybe there's some people in there, 09:48 some attendance at parking garage. 09:50 And I don't like parking garage in the daytime. 09:52 See I'm from the city, 09:53 so I've got this city sense about me, you know. 09:55 And I get in the parking garage, 09:58 there's no attendants and I sit in the car, 10:01 and lo and behold, 10:02 if this man doesn't start walking around, 10:04 and he was not looking for a car 10:06 just looked pretty evident that he was a... 10:09 And so I started praying Lord, "What should I do? 10:12 Do I get out? Do I wait?" 10:14 And I just sat there, and I prayed. 10:16 And finally, I hadn't seen him for a few minutes 10:18 I thought I've got to try to get out of here. 10:19 So I grabbed my bags, locked the door, 10:21 and I started out, and I crossed one road, 10:24 and it was so dark, I couldn't even tell, 10:26 I finally could feel that I was in grass. 10:28 And I got up to the road there and I couldn't tell 10:32 where the door was and I said, "Lord, now which way do I go? 10:36 And I made it, I thought go back 10:37 to where Kenney was. 10:39 And while I was thinking that, 10:40 there was another car started slowing down 10:42 where I was and I thought, 10:44 "Oh yeah, you don't make eye contact." 10:46 So I just turned, and kept walking, 10:47 eventually I mean, he came almost to a stop 10:50 where I was, he may have, 10:52 but I just wouldn't look at the car. 10:54 And then pretty soon it just sped off. 10:56 So I crossed the highway, 10:57 started down to where the ambulance was, 10:59 'cause at our hospitals, 11:00 there's always an entrance for people. 11:03 And when I got down there, there was no entrance, 11:06 and that door didn't open. 11:08 And here I was, I said, "Okay Lord, now what do I do? 11:11 Do I knock?" 11:13 And I could see some women in the foreground 11:15 and I saw this man dressed in scrubs closer to me. 11:20 And he looked like he was going to turn 11:23 and go into one of the side doors. 11:25 And instead of doing that he turned right 11:28 as I'm about to raise my hand and knock, and he turned, 11:31 and he just opened the first door, 11:34 and he opened the second, 11:35 and there I was and he says, "You're welcome." 11:39 Mercy. 11:40 And I stop at that. He didn't say a word. 11:42 What just happened, I never said, "Thank you." 11:44 He never said, "Who are you?" 11:46 I'm standing there with big bags. 11:48 He says, "You're welcome." And I had this strange feeling. 11:52 I mean, literally a goose bumps come up. 11:55 I thought what just happened? 11:57 I started to turn to see 11:58 where he was and I heard clearly, 12:00 "No, go look for Kenney." 12:02 So I started on in, 12:04 and I started walking towards those ladies I've seen. 12:07 I don't think they've seen any of it or heard any of it 12:10 'cause pretty soon they said, "May we help you?" 12:12 And I said, "Yes, they just brought 12:14 my husband in there, you know, a few minutes ago." 12:16 You are not supposed to be in this part 12:18 of the hospital, you'll get up to security. 12:21 I didn't mind to go to security. 12:23 I was in of those streets. 12:25 Two days later, they had that hospital surrounded... 12:28 Were you there when it was surrounded 12:29 with helicopters, 12:31 and they were searching the garage for a killer. 12:33 A month later they had on the news down 12:36 there how people's cars have been brought. 12:38 It just wasn't a safe place. 12:40 And I praise God 12:42 because every time I look at angels, 12:45 think of angels, I see that man's face. 12:49 And I see him coming by, he knew my heart. 12:52 And I was scared. 12:54 And just like I read, God did not leave me alone, 12:57 He sent an angel. 12:59 And I felt like that was the extra angel. 13:02 Amen. Gave me chills. 13:04 Yeah, that gives you chills, doesn't it? 13:05 Kind of goose bumps. Yes. 13:07 I want to share with the rest of you guys, 13:09 if you've had any angel stories 13:11 or just claim these angel promises, 13:14 what's on your heart? 13:15 Wow. 13:17 Well, I remember my brother in New York, 13:19 he has a heart condition, remember, John? 13:21 Oh, yeah. 13:22 I was just telling somebody the story just two days ago. 13:25 Okay. Go ahead. You share it. 13:30 His heart condition had come to the place where... 13:33 was it an aneurysm? 13:34 Yes. He had an aneurysm. 13:35 And you know aneurysm. Yeah. 13:37 If that burst, that's it. 13:39 You could be in the hospital bed, 13:41 you could be right in the emergency room 13:42 sometimes, that's it they can't help you. 13:43 But, so recognizing the worsening of his condition 13:47 they called an ambulance. 13:49 And we were there. 13:50 And right we were... 13:51 We were there at the house when the ambulance came. 13:55 That's right. Right there in the living room. 13:57 And two guys came and they thought 13:59 this was the ambulance that they called. 14:02 That ambulance took them, and then... 14:04 They said, "Who?" 14:06 They said, "We're here for..." 14:10 Glenmore. For Glenmore. 14:12 And anything I forget, 14:13 remember to fill that and he says. 14:15 So but the other ambulance showed up after that. 14:18 And they thought 14:19 we already got, 14:21 we already got it, we already got it. 14:24 And we didn't pay much attention to it. 14:26 But they took her brother. 14:27 The two guys came in we saw them, 14:31 remember their names? 14:32 Okay, well, he found out about their names later. 14:34 So got to get to that point 14:35 so they take him to the hospital 14:37 then they discover that that hospital can't help him. 14:40 So they took him to the other hospital. 14:41 They waited for him all this time, 14:44 they stayed with him in the hospital. 14:48 Oh, the ambulance. Yes, the ambulance guy. 14:51 The paramedics stayed with him which was unusual. 14:55 They usually drop you and go. Yes, that's right. 14:56 They stayed with him 14:58 and then they transferred him to the other hospital. 15:00 And later they asked, "What are your names? 15:05 What's your name?" 15:08 This blows you away. Yeah. 15:10 My name is Seraphim, his name is Gabriel. 15:13 Yes. Well now? 15:14 I'm not making this up. 15:18 Afterwards they went to... 15:20 after this whole episode... 15:21 These are handsome guys, we saw them. 15:23 And they went to thank him. 15:26 They have no record of this ambulance. 15:28 Oh. My brother called. 15:30 He said, "I want to thank Seraphim and Gabriel. 15:34 And they were with this ambulance." 15:35 What are you talking about? 15:37 They don't have an ambulance service by that name. 15:40 The ambulance service, 15:41 they don't have that one listed anyway. 15:43 And so they don't have these guys. 15:45 Who you're talking about? 15:46 So the ambulance that was called 15:48 came after these guys had already taken him away. 15:52 And so this text that came to me was Psalm 34:7, 15:56 "The angel of the Lord encampeth around about 15:58 who fear him, and deliver them." 16:01 And so when we are told 16:03 that we entertain angels unaware, 16:06 I've really believed 16:07 we're not going to know until the kingdom... 16:08 Oh, that's so true. 16:10 Then we're going to say, 16:11 "I knew, there was something about those guys." 16:14 I mean, they were too mild mannered, 16:15 they were not ruffled, they were not hesitant, 16:19 they were just cordial 16:20 and they were there before the other ambulance. 16:23 And they came to find out early, 16:26 later they're glad that they got him there 16:29 when he did 16:30 because that aneurism could have burst. 16:34 And they stayed with him. 16:35 And they stayed with him. That is amazing. 16:36 Yeah, they stayed with him until he was settled in 16:40 and then he'd left the, both of them walked away. 16:42 Right, they were till they settled 16:44 and got 'em into room and everything... 16:45 Wouldn't leave. 16:46 This was for hours, couple of hours. 16:48 I was like, how could they stay? 16:49 And we know that God sent His angels. 16:52 Isn't that beautiful? 16:53 And my brother's rejoice until this day, 16:55 he's faithful, he loves the Lord. 16:58 And he's strong in the Lord to this day. 17:01 They didn't leave the job undone. 17:04 No. I like that. 17:05 They said because that doesn't happen. 17:08 Not in reality, in the real... 17:10 Usually they just drop off the patient and go. 17:12 They can't, they're not allowed to. 17:14 But God's people, the angels, 17:16 they will stay until the job is complete and done 17:20 before they leave. 17:21 What was the names of these guys again? 17:23 Seraphim and Gabriel. 17:25 That were their two names. 17:27 One African-American guy 17:28 and like one was brown, one was an American. 17:31 And just really not, we're here to get Glenmore, 17:34 we heard the response on the radio. 17:35 Wow. 17:37 We didn't question it. Yeah. 17:39 And then we came to find it later, 17:41 this ambulance service doesn't exist. 17:42 And that's why they were two. The original came later. 17:45 Yeah, but the heavenly came first. 17:48 And, you know, 17:49 as you were telling me this story 17:50 after we came back from Florida, 17:52 we were watching a documentary, 17:54 and it was talking about Navy SEALs. 17:56 And these people that are kidnapped 17:58 and they were shown like this lady 18:00 that was in another country 18:01 and how the Navy SEALs came in and, 18:04 you know, it was just horrible what happened, 18:06 and how they did get her out. 18:07 I remember thinking to myself, "Oh boy, if I'm ever," 18:10 'cause we travel, all of us travel, right? 18:12 If we're ever in that kind of situation, 18:14 I thought "Boy, I pray, I hope there's a Navy." 18:18 I caught myself. 18:19 I thought no I don't want a Navy SEAL, 18:21 I want that extra angel. 18:25 Yeah, extra angel. 18:26 And I don't know how the stories came up 18:28 a couple of days ago about angels, 18:29 was I telling you the story... 18:31 No, it wasn't me. 18:32 I was telling somebody else about these stories 18:34 and there was one other example, 18:36 one other story I remember very well, 18:37 the man who raised me, I call him papa. 18:42 This is in Brooklyn years ago, you know the story. 18:45 He was at some event 18:48 that was happening on a Saturday evening, 18:49 he want to go home, he just loves to be home. 18:52 I want to go home, 18:53 but his wife at the time 18:55 just hanging out with the family and all, 18:57 he said, "I want to go home." 18:58 And he's the kind of guy 19:00 that I say it two or three times 19:01 he's going to start walking home. 19:03 He was in his 80's at the time, early 80s... 19:04 No, in the 70s. Right, 70s, late 70s. 19:08 So it's a Sunday morning in Brooklyn. 19:10 And just to give you an idea of how far the walk was, 19:13 it was a good walk, couple of few miles, 19:16 two, three miles. 19:17 And that's a long way in Brooklyn 19:20 in the late 70s. 19:22 In his late 70s. 19:24 So he told me the story when he got home, 19:27 I said, "Papa, how did you get here?" 19:29 He said, "Oh, I walked." Walked? From where? 19:31 And he told me from, and I said, 19:33 "Are you kidding me? 19:34 When did you leave?" 19:36 And he told me, "Well, about it was still dark outside." 19:38 And he got home and when it was just getting light. 19:40 And he said, "A guy walked me all the way home." 19:43 I said, "A guy walked you 19:45 all the way home from Bushwick?" 19:46 He said, "He was a mail carrier. 19:50 He had on his mail uniform." 19:52 On Sunday morning? 19:54 And he said when he got, 19:56 he walked them right to the gate from all way. 19:59 I was like, what are you doing? 20:01 What is the mail carrier doing on Sunday morning? 20:03 They don't deliver mail on Sunday morning. 20:05 But I believed the Lord allowed him 20:06 to wear a uniform of trust. 20:08 His angel guarding him with the uniform of trust. 20:11 Now, if anybody's walked up in Brooklyn, 20:12 he'd have been knowing and he said, "Who are you? 20:14 I don't know who you are?" 20:16 But the guy said, "Where are you going?" 20:17 He said he told me that he said him, 20:18 "I'm walking home. 20:20 He said, "I'll walk with you." 20:21 Walked with him miles to the gate of his house. 20:23 All night long. 20:25 Now, how many mail carriers are all night long? 20:28 Oh, I love that. But just to do that. 20:30 And so these are times 20:31 that you look back and you think, 20:34 He had to have hint. 20:35 You know, He will give His angels charge over this. 20:37 Yes. Yes. Amen. 20:39 And you never know. 20:40 And in Brooklyn at those times. Yes. 20:43 You know, there's stories like that at all. 20:45 I see that you want to share one or you want me to wonder? 20:49 Yes. 20:50 Most everybody's heard 20:52 just talk about that we raise labs. 20:55 We donated one in the spring to an autistic boy. 21:00 He is 11 years old, 21:01 and he has a lot of anxiety problems, 21:04 anxiety attacks. 21:06 And they wanted this puppy to train it for a service dog. 21:10 And that takes usually two years to train it. 21:13 And when an autistic child has these attacks, 21:19 they like to be covered with something like 21:21 they'll cover with a blanket. 21:24 Yeah, like a security thing. It makes them feel better. 21:27 So they teach in the course of this teaching the labs, 21:30 they teach them to lay down on top of the child, 21:34 and it makes the child feel better. 21:36 Well, it's a long process. 21:38 But first of all, you take the puppy, 21:40 and you have to give it obedience training, 21:42 just simple obedience training. 21:44 And so they started to do this. 21:46 And the puppy was tremendously smart, 21:49 and the people were just blown away, 21:50 the trainers and everything. 21:52 But a few months down the road, still in obedience training. 21:56 The mom texted me just a few weeks ago 21:59 and she said, 22:01 "When Caleb has an attack said puppy goes over 22:05 and she lays down on his arm, 22:07 she puts her head on his shoulder." 22:10 Now, nobody's taught her this. 22:11 And the mom said, 22:13 "Now it starts calming him down immediately 22:17 when he feels that head on his arm 22:19 and on his shoulder." 22:20 And she said, "Since we got the puppy, 22:23 he's been able to completely get off one of his medications 22:27 and cut his other one down to half." 22:30 And she said, his doctor 22:32 made up a certificate of award for the puppy 22:35 because it's made such a difference. 22:38 And to me, I feel like that's an angel. 22:41 That's angel power 22:42 working through using that puppy 22:45 to help that little boy. 22:47 And I think that I look at the animals 22:49 that alert 22:50 when somebody is going to have a diabetic attack, 22:53 or a seizure, or all this kind of stuff. 22:56 I don't think that's the dog itself. 22:58 I think that that's God and angels working 23:00 through those animals. 23:02 Oh, there's been testimonies all over 23:04 where God has worked through animals 23:07 to save people's lives. 23:08 And, you know, one of these days 23:11 we're going to get to see 23:12 and meet Gabriel and what was the second one...? 23:16 Seraphim. 23:17 I didn't get a chance to ask mine, 23:19 but you know, and I know that I've seen 23:23 at least a couple of times I believe I've seen an angel. 23:26 And one was in the form of my mother. 23:28 One time I was doing something I shouldn't have been doing. 23:31 I never heard door, never heard footsteps. 23:35 All of sudden she appeared in my room 23:37 and I just hung my head in shame. 23:40 And my mom is not the type 23:43 that she would not have mentioned it. 23:44 She never brought it up. 23:46 And I thought I'm not going to bring it up. 23:48 The next day, I thought I'm in trouble now, you know. 23:50 Nothing was ever said. Nothing. 23:53 Never heard footsteps going back to her room, 23:55 never heard anything. 23:56 And I didn't dawn on me right away, 23:58 but I thought this is just really different. 24:02 And I'll tell you one more story. 24:04 Well, you should tell a story. 24:06 Pastor, why don't you tell a story? 24:07 Tell about the time 24:09 you were stuck in your truck broke down in the mountains. 24:12 Oh, well, yeah, that was 24:13 when I was actually was in service. 24:16 I was just going to say, wasn't you in the service... 24:18 Yeah, in the service at the Laurel, Maryland. 24:22 So at Fort Meade, Maryland, 24:25 I was there for about little over a year. 24:27 And I remember we had to leave 24:28 I think it was around Christmas time or whatever. 24:30 And so we had it a couple of weeks there, 24:32 you're going to be able to get home 24:33 and I had a 63 Chevrolet, 24:36 you know, I always like that Chevrolet now. 24:38 You know, white Chevrolet. 24:40 And so anyway, you know, what do you think, 24:43 Pastor, 900 miles maybe 800, 900 miles I think... 24:46 From Maryland, yeah. 24:47 Probably so, yup, 24:48 you know, and I was about half way back 24:50 400 or so miles I had left there at the base. 24:53 I was driving home, 24:55 just had a few days into the home 24:56 and then had to go back. 24:57 And the car just quit. It absolutely just quit. 25:01 I mean, you know, 25:02 you've got 63 Chevrolet, 327 engine. 25:06 It's not going to quit on you. 25:07 Some won't get that, but anyway, 25:09 well, you know, the thing is quit now, 25:11 what am I going to do? 25:12 I may have had enough money in my pocket 25:14 to get enough gas to get home. 25:16 So I had no money. 25:18 There's no credit cards, 25:19 no anything else to get it fixed. 25:21 It was on a Sunday. 25:22 And there was, you know, no business open. 25:24 And I'm in the middle, 25:25 there's no one, I think it was 64, 70, 25:28 I think it was 70 coming through heading west. 25:32 And so anyways I pulled over to the side thought, 25:35 well, now I can crank a little bit, 25:36 tried to crank not even a spark. 25:39 I thought, "Oh no, what am I gonna do, Lord? 25:41 What am I goanna do now?" 25:42 You know, there's nobody, 25:43 it didn't even have the cell phones. 25:46 No cell phones, no communication, 25:47 no here you are, 25:49 you're stuck out there, you know. 25:50 Now, I'll be right quick, let's get some help. 25:52 And I think, now what am I gonna do? 25:53 Lord, I need some help. What is this? 25:55 I was just maybe 19, maybe I turned 20. 25:59 Said, Lord, I need some help. 26:00 And all of a sudden 26:02 there was somebody pulled in behind me. 26:04 And the gentleman, 26:06 he got out, he was dressed 26:07 in a khaki uniform, nice, crisp, 26:11 you know, everything pressed up real nice, and neat, 26:14 and stately gentleman. 26:17 He came up to the car and he said, 26:19 "Well, it looks like you have some trouble here. 26:20 May I help you?" 26:22 I said, "I don't even know what's wrong. 26:23 You know, it just. Just quit on me." 26:26 And he said, 26:28 well, you know, he said, "Why don't I take you 26:31 and I'll find somebody to fix this for you." 26:34 I thought, who is this guy? 26:35 You know, they don't just stop by and say, 26:38 "Hey, let me..." 26:40 He said, and this and this, and I'd been 26:42 because I've been early morning when I'd left, 26:44 I drove about 450 miles ahead and stopped, you know. 26:48 And he said, "And I know that you're hungry." 26:50 He said, "Why don't you let me take you to a restaurant 26:53 and let you get some food first, 26:55 and then we'll fix your car." 26:58 And I was just in such a dilemma anyway, 26:59 you know, like I need to get it fixed. 27:01 And this is so nice and somebody 27:02 and I said, you haven't, I said, "No, I haven't eaten." 27:06 He said, "Let's go. I know just a place." 27:08 He took me to a restaurant about five miles down the road, 27:12 got out of the car, 27:13 opened the door so I could get out, 27:14 and he said, 27:16 "Go in and have yourself something to eat." 27:18 And I said, "The least I can do. 27:20 I only have like 20 bucks. 27:21 At least I can do is buy you a meal. 27:23 Would you come in and eat with me?" 27:24 Here I'm going like blah-blah. 27:25 He said, "No, thank you. I'm not hungry. 27:27 I'll just wait out here for you." 27:29 He waited outside while I went in, 27:31 got me something to eat, 27:32 came back, got in the car, started to go back. 27:35 And I said, "Well, you know, is there, 27:37 I wonder if there's any place you live around here?" 27:39 He said, "Well, I know." He avoided it. 27:41 He said, "I know someone who can help you." 27:44 And again no phones, no anything and I said, 27:47 "Well, that's good. 27:48 But, where are we going to go." 27:50 He said, "Well, I suggest that we go back to your car 27:53 and shortly they'll be a wrecker 27:55 that will come." 27:57 And I said, "A wrecker will come?" 27:59 I thought well he must, you know, here I am. 28:01 He must have made a call or something 28:02 while I was in there, I didn't know. 28:04 But he had made no call. 28:05 He said, "Wrecker will come by shortly." 28:07 They'll have what you need to fix. 28:09 And I said, "Well, let's go back, you know." 28:11 So we ran, we got back to the vehicle. 28:14 And just a matter of couple of minutes here, 28:16 a wrecker pulled in behind me. 28:18 He got out, he said, 28:20 "Well, I see that you're stranded by the road 28:22 and I thought maybe you might need some help." 28:24 And I said, he said, 28:25 "You know what's wrong with it?" 28:27 And the man is still standing there. 28:28 He would not leave. He stood right there. 28:31 The khaki uniform, stately manner, 28:33 just stand right there and the guy said, 28:36 "Well, you know, can I help you?" 28:38 I said, "I don't even know what it is? 28:39 I don't know what's wrong, it just doesn't turn over, 28:41 don't fire. 28:42 Something in the firing could be the, 28:44 you know, something the points 28:45 or condenser that time is easy to change, 28:47 you know, if you had 'em. 28:48 And the stately gentleman looked 28:51 at the wrecker man that was there. 28:53 He said, and he said, 28:55 "I think you probably have in your truck, 28:56 what it is to help him." 28:58 He said, "Well, I don't know what it is." 28:59 He said, "Well, let's just check and see what it is." 29:02 And he said, 29:04 "Why don't you check and see if it's firing." 29:07 And then the mechanic 29:08 or the wrecker man said, "Okay." 29:10 He said, "Let's do. 29:11 You get in and you turn it on and I'll look on." 29:12 And he got down at the back of the 327, 29:15 the distributor cap is back there. 29:17 That's where your wires 29:18 from your spark plugs and all go into. 29:21 Soon as he looked at that distributor cap, 29:23 he said, "Man, I see the problem already." 29:25 He said, "The distributor cap is cracked." 29:27 He said, "You need another one." 29:28 And I said, "Oh, but it's Sunday, 29:30 there's no shops or anything open." 29:32 Stately man still standing there, 29:35 he looks at the repair man with warmth, 29:38 and he didn't say anything, he just looked at him. 29:41 And the wrecker man said, "You know what, 29:44 just the other day 29:45 I took a distributor cap off of another car 29:48 and I have it here in my wrecker right 29:51 behind the seat." 29:53 He reached in behind the seat, 29:54 took distributor cap exactly what the 327, 29:56 1963 Chevrolet had in his hands, 29:59 pulled the wires out really quick, 30:01 put it out there, plugged it up, 30:03 it started just like that. 30:05 The stately man was still standing there, 30:07 he did not leave me all that time. 30:09 He stayed right there until it was fixed. 30:12 And then I said, 30:13 "Oh, how in this world do I thank you. 30:17 I don't have anything to give you." 30:19 He said and I find it difficult. 30:28 Okay. It's okay. 30:30 It was just amazing 30:32 what he said I get to... 30:38 I said, "How do I thank you." 30:41 He said, "What I have done for you, 30:45 do to others." 30:47 And he was gone. What? 30:48 What? Yeah. 30:51 Think about that. 30:53 What I have done to you, I want you to do for others. 30:57 Gone. 31:00 That's been a lot of years ago, but it's still touching. 31:04 And you know that was not a coincidence. 31:07 No. No. 31:08 He stayed there the whole time. 31:10 He knew the needs of the physical 31:13 before he got the body and then the car. 31:17 He said in advance what would take place, 31:20 what would come by, 31:21 they would have what you need, and then got it fixed. 31:24 And then he said, 31:25 "As I have done to you, do to others." 31:28 And I've never forgotten that. 31:30 Wow. What a message. 31:31 What about his car that he was in? 31:33 No, when I looked around 31:34 'cause I had tears going down my cheek. 31:37 There I'm thinking, man that was all. 31:38 I looked around, there was nothing there 31:40 and there was just nothing there. 31:41 So I know who it was. 31:45 God sent an angel, Real guardian angel. 31:47 Guardian angel to take care of that. 31:48 So he does meet the needs. Amen. 31:50 He does meet the needs. I think that's so wonderful. 31:53 And like you mentioned, Pastor, 31:54 he stayed there until the job was complete and done. 31:59 And he did not leave me 32:01 defenseless as we're helpless, as I was. 32:05 I didn't have anything, he seen me through. 32:07 That's right. 32:08 I've never heard that story all these years. 32:10 Yeah! Really! 32:13 It's amazing to me and still touching to my heart 32:16 because of the very ending of it. 32:20 So I thought it was a good man until he said what he said. 32:24 It's scriptural. 32:25 What I have done to you do unto others. 32:28 So I think, you and I said before I repeat, 32:30 I haven't forgotten that. 32:31 So we get an opportunity to help somebody else. 32:33 We want to help somebody else 32:34 'cause it's always comes back to me. 32:37 Remember what I did for you. 32:38 That explains why you've been so giving. 32:40 Oh, I don't know about that. But, I know Lord is good. 32:45 Let me share in closing of this section 32:48 of this arsenal of heavenly powers. 32:52 This is from Prophets and Kings 571, 32:55 it reads, "But through the conflict..." 32:58 Excuse me. 33:00 "But though the conflict 33:01 is a ceaseless one here on this earth," 33:03 we know that right. 33:05 "None would've promised. 33:07 None are left to struggle alone. 33:10 Angels help to protect those who walk humbly before God. 33:15 Never will our Lord betray one who trusts Him 33:18 as His children draw near to Him 33:20 for protection from evil and pity and love. 33:23 He lifts up for them a standard against the enemy, 33:27 touch them not He says for they are mine. 33:30 I have graven them upon the palms of my hand." 33:34 Praise the Lord 33:35 And as Pastor John referred to Psalms 91:11, 33:40 "For He shall give His angels charge over thee, 33:43 to keep thee in all thy ways." 33:46 Amen. 33:47 God has begun a good work in each and every one of us 33:50 and He's going to see it to completion. 33:53 Isn't that wonderful promises? 33:54 We share these stories to you, 33:57 for you to give you encouragement. 33:59 Maybe you've never had that experience, 34:01 but as you draw close to Jesus, 34:03 you can claim all these wonderful promises 34:06 for your very own 34:07 because God has an angel that is assigned just for you. 34:12 Amen. Let me share another story. 34:15 We've had so many examples in our lives. 34:18 And I say this how we have lost important things. 34:23 And the Lord has always found them for us. 34:26 Amen. 34:27 I mean, we could just write a book 34:28 of all these things 34:30 that were lost and the Lord found it. 34:32 We were in Miami airport. 34:35 And I just, it was 2009 and I never forget that 34:39 because I had purchased a laptop 34:42 for my wife for Christmas. 34:43 I remember very well, it's brand new, 34:45 got a bag and everything and, 34:46 you know, how ladies when you travel, 34:47 Tammy, I don't know, 34:49 if you do the same thing but most women's bags, 34:51 it could be an overnight bag, especially if they're on plane. 34:55 Everything you need, 34:57 is a phone, wallet, brush and comb, everything. 35:01 If you lose it, it's like your life is over. 35:03 So here we are in the airport 35:05 and we're crossing a bit 35:08 in Miami upper crossing to the median. 35:11 And I'm dragging this luggage 35:13 and I see in the back 35:14 kind of jumping up and down like this. 35:16 And I said, I came and asked, "What's wrong?" 35:18 She said, "Tell me, you have my purse, my bag." 35:22 You know, 'cause it's beyond the purse at that point. 35:25 I said and I grabbed her by her shoulders and I said, 35:27 "I don't have it, but I will find it." 35:30 This is Miami airport. Oh wow. 35:33 And I had my bags and I have a way of forgetting 35:38 if I have so many things in my hand just carrying. 35:41 And my laptop bag 35:44 with my wallet and everything in it. 35:46 Everything and I said "John, tell me you have my bag. 35:51 Tell me you have it." And I got it. 35:53 You know, it was in a new leather bag. 35:55 Everything is all brand new and everything just. 35:58 And I said, "I don't, but I will find it." 36:01 And I'm thinking this is Miami. 36:03 If you left that in the airport, 36:06 the chances of finding all that is going to be nil. 36:09 I left everything, ran across the median. 36:12 I mean, I'm just like, I just made a promise. 36:16 And I finally get to the airport, 36:18 and outside of the airport, 36:20 I see a police officer standing over her bag, 36:26 and he has his radio. 36:28 And I walk up to him. 36:30 I'm exhausted, I could hardly breath, I said, 36:34 "That's my wife's bag. 36:37 He just picked it up and gave it to me. 36:38 I take it. 36:40 Nobody's going to go through all that. 36:41 He didn't question you. 36:43 He didn't question me, he didn't say anything. 36:44 He just found it right there 36:46 and just gave it to me and I thought 36:48 and this is just one of the example, 36:50 one of the many, many, many, 36:51 many, many, many examples of how the Lord works, 36:54 but just one last one in Australia. 36:57 This is amazing. 37:00 I'm going to AYC in Australia, 37:01 it was like a GYC here in America, 37:04 lot of young people get together 37:05 to have a youth congress. 37:07 We finally get to Australia 37:09 which is a day and a half in time. 37:10 If it's Wednesday here it's Thursday there. 37:12 And then we get to the hotel we check in, 37:14 let's carry our bags up to steps. 37:16 While I pick up my laptop bag, it's as light as a feather. 37:19 I open it my laptop is gone. 37:22 And Angela said, "Are you sure." 37:23 I said, "Do you have my laptop." 37:26 She said, "No." I said, "It's not in my bag. 37:27 It's gone." Oh, no. 37:30 I remember in San Francisco 37:32 putting it on the belt to go through the scanner. 37:37 I'm here in Australia. 37:40 I'm doing a seminar tomorrow. 37:42 Everything is in that. 37:44 Well, how am I going to get it? 37:46 I'm just at my wits end. 37:49 So what do I do? What time is it? 37:52 I know time is here, 37:53 but called San Francisco airport... 37:56 called nothing caught. 37:58 I said, "Okay, well I guess time 38:00 is just like 2:30 in the morning." 38:01 And we just called again, called again, called again, 38:03 finally got through. 38:05 "How can we help you?" 38:06 I said, I left my... 38:08 and I talked about the terminal. 38:10 They said, "Sir, people don't turn in laptops." 38:15 I mean, "We'll check and see." 38:18 "But people don't turn in laptops. 38:19 Do you mean laptops are lost every day 38:22 people don't turn those in." 38:24 "But call back in about an hour 38:28 because if it's anywhere the lost and found 38:30 will be open in about an hour, call back." 38:32 I call lost and found they said, 38:33 "Well, we have one place here in the airport. 38:37 If it was found and turned in, it will be there." 38:40 So a phone number I call, 38:42 they said, "Could you describe it." 38:45 Sometimes people turn it. "Could you describe it." 38:46 I described. 38:48 They said, 38:49 "Well, we have one 38:51 that kind of fits that description. 38:52 Do you know the password." 38:53 I gave the password. 38:55 I said when it starts up, they said, 38:56 "We have it." 38:58 You have my laptop. 39:00 Now... 39:02 How do you get it? 39:03 Hey, but this is what blows me away. 39:06 The name of the agency 39:08 that had it 39:10 you couldn't come up with this name. 39:13 God speaks in unusual ways. 39:15 Covenant Security was the name of the company. 39:21 Covenant Security. Am I telling the truth? 39:24 Yes. Yes. Covenant. 39:26 You make a covenant with God, you have security. 39:28 Amen. Covenant Security? 39:30 "Yes, we have it here." 39:32 "Can you send it to me by FedEx, 39:33 I need it tomorrow." 39:35 "Sir, we don't FedEx anything." 39:36 So how I'm going to get it. 39:37 Can you send over... 39:39 "No we... I'll pay for it." 39:40 "We don't do that. Somebody has to pick it up." 39:43 And bring it there. Bring it. 39:46 And this and next thing they found it, 39:47 but how am I going to get it. 39:49 I said all the speakers already up here. 39:51 No, there's one pastor that hasn't come yet. 39:54 I have a pastor Ivan Meyer. 39:56 Where does he live? He lives in San Jose. 39:59 And just that I think he has to go either 40:01 to San Jose or San Francisco, 40:03 calls him, he answers the phone. 40:05 "Ivan, where are you?" "I'm on my way to the airport." 40:08 "Which airport?" "San Francisco." 40:12 I cut the long story short. 40:14 I have my laptop two hours before the presentation. 40:16 Amen. Beautiful. 40:18 This is the tip of the iceberg. 40:19 But God, when you make a covenant with God, 40:22 when you make a covenant with God, 40:23 you've got security. 40:25 Yes. 40:26 He will look out for the needs of His children. 40:28 And never put you in a position 40:29 because I was going to do His work. 40:31 It was all on that laptop. 40:34 And I had it on time and I just... 40:37 we looked at that I mean, we could tell stories forever. 40:39 We'll just do a program one day 40:40 on family worship for always on time. 40:43 There you go. 40:45 And so he gives his angels charge over us. 40:47 Thus, who ever found that 40:49 had to be honest enough to turn it in. 40:51 Yes, that's right. 40:52 In this day and age where laptops are... 40:54 Yes. 40:56 See that may be another example of an angel turning that in 40:58 and you will never know till we get to the kingdom. 41:00 Exactly. 41:01 And maybe we shouldn't go on to the full armor 41:03 because we were about to run out of time. 41:05 But, you know, when they were talking, 41:07 it reminded me when we were working in Africa. 41:10 And there were 41:12 several wonderful stories in Africa. 41:14 But this particular time 41:16 we were there during the dry season 41:17 so that we were outside, 41:19 and we'd always have every night about 300 adults, 41:22 and over 300 children come. 41:24 And, you know, they said, well, if it ever does rain, 41:27 you know, people they just won't come out 41:29 or if they leave they won't come back 41:31 'cause there's no most of them don't have cars. 41:33 If they did get in something they got in a bus 41:35 and we're talking about like a sardine, you know. 41:38 And anyway this night, 41:42 all of a sudden 41:43 and we were one of several groups, okay. 41:45 But all of a sudden we saw 41:47 all this thunder and lightning in the night sky. 41:51 And here we were out 41:52 with all this electrical equipment, and computers, 41:56 and, you know, projectors and everything 41:59 is in the open, the speakers everything. 42:01 And so we thought, "Oh, wow." 42:03 And it was at a pivotal moment, if I'm not sure, 42:05 it's either the Sabbath or the law, 42:06 it was a pivotal time. 42:08 And so we gathered together, 42:10 just stopped the meeting, gathered together, 42:12 and we pray for God to open the sky, 42:15 to hold back the wind and the storm that was coming. 42:19 And at this time, people were scattering, 42:21 they were already running. 42:23 And when we opened our eyes I kid you not, 42:26 we were from clouds and lightning 42:29 to there was just a round open 42:31 and there were stars and people started coming back. 42:36 You know, when as you were talking I thought, 42:37 you know, we pray 42:39 and we don't know how God does it. 42:41 But some of those promises 42:43 that we didn't even read it talks about 42:45 that He has angels that do His bidding. 42:48 They could have been the angels 42:49 that just kind of blew or push those clouds aside. 42:53 Now, we found out later some of the others 42:55 I guess they didn't pray, 42:56 I'm not sure because they were rained down. 42:59 But, you know by God's grace all those sort of, 43:02 we had no rain. 43:03 And that happened two times. Two different times. 43:05 Two different times. 43:07 And in fact, let me tell you a computer story. 43:09 You had a computer story there. 43:11 I'm probably talking too much, you guys jump in, 43:13 stop me any time you want. 43:15 We'll just say amen. 43:16 Somebody stop me. 43:18 Testimony. Yes, testimony. 43:20 We had at that time, 43:22 it was just the laptop computer, 43:23 and we were in this little room, 43:25 and a lady wanted to come she was not an Adventist, 43:27 but she wanted to come and have prayer with us. 43:28 And we thought, "Oh yes, wonderful." 43:30 You know, there's no running water or anything. 43:31 But we had bottled water that they provided. 43:33 This is in Africa? This is in Africa. 43:35 And he got up and just laid the computer on the floor 43:38 because we didn't have tables. 43:40 And he laid his big liter of water on the floor 43:43 next to the computer. 43:45 I never thought anything about it. 43:46 We prayed and we got down on our knees 43:49 and we prayed for this lady. 43:51 And after she left, we went over there 43:53 and where the computer was that were his boot 43:57 ended up during prayer. 43:59 And when we looked at that the water was falling 44:03 and the computer was covered with water, 44:06 picked it up and the water drained out of it. 44:08 And as you know 44:10 they say don't even drinks around a computer, 44:13 don't get a drop on my computer. 44:15 And so at that time the computer was still on, 44:20 I believe and but we thought we've got to dry this off. 44:25 So we turned it off 44:27 and we were trying to get the screws out 44:29 and we couldn't find anything to get the screws out. 44:31 And we went back and we told the rest of our group, 44:34 the singers, and stuff what had happened. 44:36 And they said, "Oh, boy" 44:37 You kind of stay a little bit of shock 44:39 and little bit of seriousness here 44:41 because like with you, all the stuff we had, 44:44 you know, we've had big screen outside 44:46 and we were having things up in different language, 44:49 different things and all that. 44:50 Everything we had was on that computer 44:52 and looked like it was going to be a mess. 44:53 Three different languages and they needed those pictures 44:56 because they could understand 44:58 in their language a little bit better 45:00 as they saw the visual and they heard the audio. 45:03 And so it was very important 45:04 and there weren't computer stores. 45:05 I can imagine. 45:07 Yeah, there was no place to take it. 45:08 And even if there were, 45:10 where was I going to get the software, you know. 45:12 We thought she was a computer specialist though. 45:14 So we prayed about it at lunch. 45:15 We went back and we started to turn it on, 45:18 it wouldn't come on. 45:19 So we got down beside the bed and we prayed and prayed 45:23 and then pretty soon your brother... 45:25 Just don't tell all of that. Your brother started singing. 45:28 You see, we've read and we've read 45:31 that there's power in the name of Jesus. 45:33 There's power when you begin to sing in the name of Jesus. 45:36 He began to sing to that computer 45:38 and as he sang it flashed on. 45:40 It flashed on. 45:42 It came back, 45:43 that computer worked for years after that. 45:47 Oh, yes. 45:49 Whether God sent an angel to do something or why? 45:53 He was there and He took care of us. 45:56 Yes, He did. That was such a blessing. 45:57 Because it was needed 45:58 for His work, for His honor, for His glory. 46:01 He knew we needed it and He did not leave us 46:04 as I say none are left to struggle alone. 46:07 That's right. That's right. 46:08 None are left to struggle alone. 46:10 How wonderful that is in this world. 46:11 You might feel like you're all alone, 46:13 you may feel like you're struggling in your wits 46:15 and you don't know what to do, but I tell you right now, 46:17 you're not alone. 46:19 I believe that with all my heart 46:20 and I think that it can be substantiated 46:22 from scripture and Spirit of Prophecy definitely 46:25 that each one of us are assigned an angel, 46:27 a guardian angel. 46:29 Pastor, go ahead you had something. 46:30 This quotation I want to have as Angie to read, well... 46:32 Go ahead. Go ahead. 46:34 It says, "Could our eyes be opened? 46:36 We should see forms of wicked angels around us 46:39 trying to invent some new way to annoy and destroy us. 46:42 And we should also see 46:44 the angels of God guarding us from their power." 46:47 Amen Amen. 46:49 Amen. So that is in Manuscript 7. 46:53 But that is the key. 46:54 If we could see the battle around us, 46:55 I mean, I don't know 46:57 how many times have you been delivered 46:58 from something, Bruce. 46:59 Sure. Even car accidents. 47:01 I can remember and I'll keep it short. 47:04 No, go on now. 47:05 I can remember, I used to travel a lot. 47:09 We was going 70 mile an hour down the highway. 47:12 And it was just stacked with traffic. 47:14 And semi trucks, we was in the middle lane. 47:18 It was a three lane, and in the middle lane 47:20 and our tire blew out, 70 mile an hour... 47:24 Oh, my. 47:25 And I mean, you just can't... 47:27 I don't know if you've ever, 47:28 I've only had experienced that one time 47:31 and just completely lost control. 47:34 I mean, there was no control on it, 47:36 there's semis here, there's semis there. 47:39 There's no where to go. 47:40 There's semis behind them, 70 mile an hour and somehow, 47:46 it just the wheel... 47:48 I mean the wheels straightened out... 47:50 Yes, you stayed right in there in your lane, didn't you? 47:53 And somehow it got off the side of the road. 47:55 I don't know how to this day, it had be an angel. 47:59 That's all we understood. 48:00 Amen. Amen. 48:02 Reminded me the song by Carrie Underwood Angel... 48:05 Oh no, actually it's Jesus take the wheel, 48:06 but we have the angels of God. 48:08 Yes. 48:09 A lot of us have laid loved ones to rest, 48:12 we've laid, our, both of our parents to rest. 48:15 And you think even though we know they're asleep, 48:19 you just, you think of them by their side. 48:21 You know, they're in the cemetery, 48:22 you think they're there by their self 48:24 even though they're sleeping, but they're not. 48:27 And that gives me just such a joy to think 48:31 that my mom's guardian angel 48:33 and my dad's guardian angel are standing watch 48:36 over those graves until Jesus call them for. 48:39 They're marked, Ellen White said. 48:40 That's right. They're marked. 48:42 And you know I did not know that for years. 48:44 And after my mom died, 48:45 I would just all of a sudden 48:47 I could be in town and I just start crying. 48:50 And I didn't know what to do. So I go to her grave. 48:53 And I know that the dead know not anything, 48:55 I know she couldn't hear me. 48:56 Right. Right. 48:58 But I'd go to the grave and I'd have this peace 49:00 come over me to hear me. 49:02 And I couldn't understand, 49:03 I told him, I said, "I don't understand it." 49:06 And I did that like two or three times 49:07 I'd just be just grieving and in tears of missing my mom 49:11 and I would go to that grave 49:12 and all of a sudden I had a peace. 49:14 And then I read that and the Spirit of God told me 49:17 it's because the angel is at her grave. 49:21 Where she passed, we were all singing in the room 49:24 and people outside, we sang for hours 49:27 'cause she was a singer. 49:28 We talked about that. 49:30 And then the girls and I would got in 49:31 and we'd read the Psalms 23, Psalms to her. 49:35 And then as she was... 49:37 They were putting the medicine 49:39 to slow her breathing and step down. 49:41 We were in there and we were singing 49:43 and if we stop singing, she began to labor. 49:47 And you could tell it just wasn't good. 49:48 We'd start to sing and she'd calm right down. 49:51 And I'm telling you, it's like that room filled up. 49:54 We thought if we just did this 49:56 you'd be touching a wing of an angel. 49:59 And people go by and they're like 50:01 we can't believe the sounds 50:03 coming out of this room, the peace. 50:05 It's more than us. Weren't they? 50:06 But it was an assurance. 50:09 It was an insurance because I felt like the angels 50:11 were there and some day 50:13 we're going to see our mommas together again. 50:15 I've done the same, I went to the cemetery, 50:18 and just been grief stricken. 50:20 And I'd just sit down and the longer 50:22 I'm there the more comforted I feel. 50:25 And I just think and like you for many years 50:29 I didn't realize that. 50:31 And then when I think of it now, 50:33 when I think of those little angels standing there 50:36 and if Jesus doesn't come and we'll all be there, 50:40 we'll all be in the cemeteries. 50:41 And to think that our angel will be standing there 50:44 watching over us until Jesus calls us forth. 50:46 Amen. That made me, yeah. 50:49 That's encouraging, isn't it? It is encouraging. 50:51 Now, we have about, what, little over a minute, 50:52 half or so left. 50:54 So any thoughts that you have to share very quick something, 50:57 may the Lord put on your heart. 50:58 Well, you know we don't need to know 51:00 how God works. 51:01 We just need to trust our instinct. 51:04 Because our own understanding 51:05 sometimes get in the way of how God is. 51:07 God is not logical. 51:09 He's spiritual. He's a spirit. 51:12 And He has sent forth His angels 51:15 to be ministering spirits to those 51:17 and that's the fact, 51:19 that's He has sent His angels to be ministering spirits 51:21 to those who are heirs of salvation. 51:23 So it shouldn't surprise those of you 51:25 who are children of God that God has not left us alone. 51:28 I will never leave you nor forsake you. 51:30 Not only is Holy Spirit, 51:32 but He shall give His angels charge over you. 51:34 So because we are heirs of salvation, 51:37 He sent His angels to minister to us. 51:40 So it's good to just talk about these stories 51:42 and let people know God is faithful. 51:45 He is. We know that for a fact. Amen. 51:48 We are the apple of His eye. It is real. 51:50 This is a spiritual warfare 51:52 and He has promised no matter what, 51:54 He will carry us through. 51:56 Amen. Amen. 51:57 I think probably we have about 37 seconds. 51:59 Pastor John, just to have maybe a closing prayer for us 52:02 and we end on this 52:04 and thank God for those beautiful guardian angels 52:06 that ride excel in strength that guards and guides 52:08 and protects each and every one of us. 52:11 Yes, loving Father, in heaven what a blessing to know 52:15 that we are not in this world alone. 52:18 You said You will give Your angels charge over us, 52:20 they would minister to us. 52:22 And those watching and listening to this program, 52:24 Lord, I pray that they will understand 52:25 that in the solitude of their moments 52:26 and challenges of their lives, they are not alone. 52:30 But the angel is faithful and He will and keep 52:33 the guardian of your strength around them. 52:35 So give us the wisdom to know that and to trust you 52:38 that when our lives 52:39 are at that pivotal place of difficulty, 52:42 we will find our strength in Your presence. 52:45 In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Thank you. 52:46 Amen. Amen. 52:48 Praise God. |
