but let's set the stage.

We are talking about
the Communion service,

the Lord's Last Supper.

that Jesus spent on this earth,

go and prepare the Passover.

They went to a
place and Jesus told them,

Now that's interesting.

Normally, women
are carrying a pitcher.

So that would be

and they knew

many men carrying a pitcher,

it was going to be just one.

Anyway, the Lamb...

Let's talk a little
bit about the Passover

because it was the Passover.

summarize what is this Passover

and why was it
important for the Jews?

Well, the Passover was a
significant commemoration

of their deliverance from Egypt.

beginning, the latter...

latter parts of Exodus

talk about the deliverance,

the children of
Israel had cried for the Lord

to deliver them from
Egypt for 400 years and finally,

he sent Moses and
Aaron to say to the Pharaoh,

"Let my people go
that they may serve me."

And so when you
think of Passover,

it's an
introduction into serving God,
00:08:26.13\00:08:30.11
but the Passover
was very significant

because on the night
before the Lord delivered

the children of Israel,

he said, "Get a
lamb and roast that lamb
00:08:35.24\00:08:39.98
and when you
partake of the lamb,
00:08:40.02\00:08:41.42
do so inside of your house
00:08:41.45\00:08:42.88
and make sure
00:08:42.92\00:08:44.25
that the blood
of the lamb covers
00:08:44.29\00:08:45.62
the doorposts of the house."

So it's not just sufficient
enough to eat of the lamb,

but they had to
do so in their house

under the blood of the lamb.

And when the destroying
angel came through Egypt,

all those who were
covered by the blood of the lamb

were recipients of deliverance
from destruction to come.

So the word Passover
means destruction passes over us

and that was the
commemorative story

that they were told from
generation to generation.

Whenever your children would ask

what the Passover was,

repeat deliverance from Egypt.

So but now the Communion service

was that deliverance from Egypt.

deliverance from Egypt,

from the bondage of being slaves

slaves for about 400 years.

the deliverance
for all humanity,

which the Passover commemorates

be the Passover Lamb

that would deliver us from
sin and the slavery to sin.

So Communion service, the
Last Supper, Jesus begins,

or as the Passover for the Jews

was passing for the last time,

so when Jesus
celebrated the Passover,

that was the last time
that the Lord recognizes

that feast as a commemoration.

Now the believers in Christ,

the believers in God

were to take upon
a new commemoration

of the deliverance from Satan

that is Communion service.

the emblems of the bread

New was a reflection

because under the Passover

there with the 12 tribes,
under the Communion service,

he was with 12 disciples.

And so He had the
connection there...

And one thing I
forgot to mention

before was not just a Lamb

but a lamb without a
blemish and without a spot.

It just couldn't
be any other lamb,

because that lamb
would represent Christ,

But yeah, this whole idea

That is unadulterated
bread. That's right.

And so what did Jesus
say this bread symbolizes?

So there is something
significant about this bread
