00:45 I want to spend my life
00:51 Mending broken people.
01:08 Welcome to 3ABN Family Worship.
01:12 We invite you-- no, no, we encourage you
01:17 to get your family that's the spouse,
01:20 the sons, the daughters and especially tonight
01:23 the little children
01:25 because we have a special guest with us.
01:28 And join us for family worship as we introduce the Sabbath.
01:34 I want to take just a moment and share with you
01:36 something about the Sabbath
01:37 that when Mollie and I came in to the truth of the Sabbath,
01:40 we did not know how to keep the Sabbath
01:43 and we've learnt through process.
01:45 We've been Sunday keepers--
01:47 Yeah.
01:48 For what, 50 something years, a long time.
01:51 Hundred and fifty.
01:52 No, not quite 150 but for a long time.
01:55 So this was all new to us. Right.
01:57 We had to learn how to keep the Sabbath.
01:59 It was processed in procedure
02:01 but something that really pierced my heart
02:04 and made me realize the truth of the Sabbath was--
02:09 I ran into an old friend of mine
02:13 and he was talking to me and he said,
02:18 "how things going with you?"
02:20 And I said, "Well, they are going pretty good.
02:21 How about you?" He said, "Great."
02:23 He said, "We've just started a new church,
02:25 a new work in Carbondale
02:27 and I want to invite you to come."
02:28 So I said, "What day is it on?"
02:32 He said, "Well, it's Sunday of course."
02:33 And I told him then...
02:36 that I could not attend on Sunday
02:38 because I was a Sabbath keeper.
02:40 And then I witnessed him about the Sabbath,
02:43 that's just a natural thing to do.
02:45 He nodded, okay, like you are weird
02:48 but whatever, but anyway then we parted our ways
02:52 and as I was going home.
02:54 Now get this, as I was going home,
02:56 the Holy Spirit pierced my heart and told me,
03:01 "You are not a Sabbath keeper. You go to church on Sabbath."
03:06 And I thought, wow.
03:08 Now the reason why I thought, wow,
03:11 was because I ran into my old friend
03:14 at the carwash on Sabbath afternoon
03:16 while I was washing my car.
03:20 And I began to really take a look at it
03:21 and I realized that Sabbath doesn't begin
03:24 when you get to Sabbath school
03:26 and when you leave after pot blessed lunch.
03:29 The Sabbath begins right now on a sundown on Friday night
03:33 and goes till sundown on the Sabbath.
03:38 And so what we want you to do right now,
03:41 stop everything that you are doing.
03:43 Get your people in there, sit down
03:45 and just rest in inner end to a glorious Sabbath.
03:49 Amen. Amen.
03:50 God says, I'm gonna--
03:51 The Lord says, "I'm gonna enter His gates with thanksgiving,
03:53 and into His courts with praise."
03:58 So praise God. Amen.
03:59 You know, how we have invited some of our dear friends
04:03 to come and be a part
04:05 of our Sabbath worship this evening.
04:08 We invite every one of you.
04:09 We are so thankful that you are here with us.
04:12 We encourage you to lay aside this time
04:15 that God has given us to worship Him,
04:19 to lay aside the cares of the world
04:21 and just concentrate and think about Him.
04:24 And I would like to introduce our guest to you.
04:27 Now, these are our friends, our guests around our table.
04:31 First we have Robert and Nadya Stotz
04:34 and their beautiful little lady Sofiya.
04:37 Sofiya, it's good to have you here as well.
04:40 Sofiya is on Tiny Tots quite often
04:43 and so she is very, very comfortable
04:45 in front of the camera
04:47 and she knows what it is to be on television.
04:49 So, Sofiya, we know that you are going to join us
04:52 and help us with worship.
04:53 Robert, it's good to have you here.
04:55 Oh, it's good to be here.
04:56 This is of course my wife Nadya and Sofiya down here.
05:00 And, you know, our family worship we,
05:04 we love every day to teach Sofiya about Jesus
05:07 and at the night time, Sofiya, what do we do at night,
05:11 can you-- do you know?
05:13 Well, what we do is we love to read the storybooks,
05:16 the Bible stories about Jesus,
05:17 kind of get her to know Jesus better
05:19 because we want her to know Jesus as her friend,
05:22 not just someone who is,
05:24 you know, oh, don't do this, don't do that.
05:26 We want her, Jesus to be her friend.
05:28 Amen.
05:29 And what I love is, you know,
05:30 my wife here is very, very good.
05:33 You know, Sofiya is with her during the day
05:34 and she always tells her of Jesus' love.
05:37 And I'm always happy at night,
05:39 before she goes to bed many times
05:41 she just starts singing songs to sleep,
05:43 you know, about Jesus.
05:45 I always say, with Jesus in the family,
05:47 it's a happy, happy home.
05:49 Yes, it is.
05:50 Well, may be, may be in little bit
05:51 we can get her to share a Bible story with us if she--
05:54 Sofiya, would you like to do? We would love that.
05:56 Sofiya, we would love that. Yes. We will see what happens.
05:57 See what happens, yeah.
05:59 Nadya, so good to have you here.
06:00 Yeah, thank you.
06:01 Now, we have other friends with us as well
06:03 that we've invited.
06:05 We've got Janelle and Don here with us,
06:09 and it's so good to have both of you.
06:11 Thank you for having us here.
06:13 The Owens are blessing, they really are.
06:15 Yeah they-- and you are here and you are from,
06:18 I believe, originally from over in Indiana.
06:21 Yes, yeah. Of course, yeah.
06:23 Yes, we have lived in Corydon area in Indiana
06:27 for about 13 years.
06:28 Thirteen years, yeah. Yeah.
06:30 And so in 2013, we moved here.
06:32 Well, it is so good to have you
06:34 and what I would like to do now,
06:37 is just thank our Heavenly Father
06:40 for this wonderful time
06:42 that we have of coming together of worshiping Him,
06:45 of giving this time to Him.
06:47 So join us in prayer.
06:49 Holy Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus.
06:51 And Lord, we praise You and we thank You for Your grace
06:54 and Your mercy, for Your goodness to us.
06:56 Thank You, Father, that You've given us this time
07:00 that we can set aside all of the cares of the world
07:03 and we can concentrate on You.
07:05 Lay our hearts before You, Father,
07:07 and give our lives to You, yield to You,
07:09 O, God to the degree that we know how to yield,
07:12 that You can take our lives
07:14 and use us for Your honor and Your glory.
07:16 Father, we ask Your presence,
07:18 come into our hearts, come into our lives,
07:20 come into our presence, Father, here in this home,
07:24 here in this dwelling
07:25 and, O God, in every person that's watching.
07:28 Father, we pray You would especially,
07:30 especially invade their homes and their hearts,
07:33 Father, that all of us would recognize,
07:36 know Your presence, Father, and be drawn closer to You
07:39 during this Sabbath hours is our prayer in Jesus' name.
07:43 Amen. Amen.
07:45 Well, let's praise the Lord.
07:46 Let's sing some songs. Yes.
07:47 Okay, we are blessed with Janelle here
07:49 that's leading a song for us.
07:51 We're gonna be--
07:52 And Jill Morikone accompanying on the piano.
07:56 Thank you, Jill.
07:57 We are gonna be singing two songs,
07:59 the first one is "Trust and Obey"
08:02 and we are gonna be singing verses 1, 3 and 5
08:05 and if we guys have your hymnal at home,
08:07 you can follow along with us.
08:13 When we walk with the Lord
08:17 In the light of his Word
08:20 What a glory He sheds on our way
08:27 While we do His good will
08:30 He abides with us still
08:34 And with all who will trust and obey
08:40 Trust and obey
08:43 For there's no other way
08:47 To be happy in Jesus
08:52 But to trust and obey
08:56 Not a burden we bear
09:00 Not a sorrow we share
09:04 But our toil He doth richly repay
09:10 Not a grief nor a loss
09:14 Not a frown or a cross
09:17 But is blessed if we trust and obey
09:23 Trust and obey
09:27 For there's no other way
09:30 To be happy in Jesus
09:35 But to trust and obey
09:40 Then in fellowship sweet
09:44 We will sit at His feet
09:48 Or we'll walk by His side in the way
09:54 What He says we will do
09:57 Where He sends we will go
10:01 Never fear, only trust and obey
10:07 Trust and obey
10:11 For there's no other way
10:14 To be happy in Jesus
10:19 But to trust and obey
10:24 Amen. That sounded beautiful.
10:26 "Trust and Obey," beautiful song.
10:27 I heard Sofiya singing. Touches our hearts.
10:30 Indeed. Yes, she was singing.
10:31 I heard that was one of the Sofiya's favorites.
10:34 You liked that song, don't you? Yes, sir.
10:38 Next we are gonna be singing Number 457,
10:41 and this one is called "I Love to Tell the Story."
10:53 I love to tell the story
10:57 Of unseen things above
11:02 Of Jesus and His glory
11:07 Of Jesus and His love
11:12 I love to tell the story
11:17 Because I know 'tis true
11:22 It satisfies my longings
11:27 As nothing else can do
11:32 I love to tell the story
11:37 'Twill be my theme in glory
11:42 To tell the old, old story
11:47 Of Jesus and His love
11:53 I love to tell the story
11:58 More wonderful it seems
12:03 Than all the golden fancies
12:08 Of all our golden dreams
12:13 I love to tell the story
12:18 It did so much for me
12:23 And that is just the reason
12:28 I tell it now to thee
12:32 Praise God.
12:33 I love to tell the story
12:38 'Twill be my theme in glory
12:43 To tell the old, old story
12:48 Of Jesus and His love
12:53 I love to tell the story
12:59 'Tis pleasant to repeat
13:04 What seems, each time I tell it
13:09 More wonderfully sweet
13:14 I love to tell the story
13:19 For some have never heard
13:24 The message of salvation
13:29 From God's own holy Word
13:34 I love to tell the story
13:39 'Twill be my theme in glory
13:44 To tell the old, old story
13:49 Of Jesus and His love
13:54 I love to tell the story
14:00 For those who know it best
14:05 Seem hungering and thirsting
14:10 To hear it like the rest
14:15 And when, in scenes of glory
14:20 I sing the new, new song
14:25 'Twill be the old, old story
14:30 That I have loved so long
14:35 I love to tell the story
14:40 'Twill be my theme in glory
14:45 To tell the old, old story
14:50 Of Jesus and His love
14:57 Oh, amen. I just love to tell that story too.
15:01 Let's do it over and over and over again for sure.
15:03 You know, some of these songs,
15:04 doesn't matter how long we sing them,
15:06 they are only always gonna be wonderful to our heart,
15:09 touch our hearts and draw us closer to Jesus.
15:11 Amen to that.
15:12 I love these, what we refer to as old songs.
15:14 I had a lady came to me one time back years ago,
15:16 I was telling Nadya earlier.
15:18 I didn't know, I don't know a lot of hymns,
15:20 because in our church,
15:21 we sang off the wall is what they referred to.
15:24 We did a lot of chores,
15:25 but I had a lady came in to me and said, "Pastor,
15:27 why don't you sing some of the old songs?"
15:30 And I said, "Well, we just sang
15:31 one out the Psalms is 3,500 years old."
15:34 Oh, wow.
15:35 I said, "I would call those old too."
15:37 I said, "We just sang a song of Moses
15:39 and it was about 3,800 years old."
15:42 So that's old song but there is nothing,
15:44 there is nothing that beats the old hymns.
15:47 They are true. That's true.
15:50 Oh man, I love "Power in the Blood."
15:51 Yeah. That's a good one.
15:53 And we did a camp meeting here while back on victory
15:55 and I suggested singing "Victory In Jesus"
15:58 and we were shocked that it wasn't in our hymnal
16:00 but we sang it
16:01 and we sang the "Real Father" with it too for sure, for fact.
16:05 But we have a special guests,
16:08 special, special, special guest with us here today,
16:12 it's Jesus Christ
16:13 but we have someone that is special,
16:15 special, special, special too, that is Sofiya Stotz.
16:21 Hi, Sofiya.
16:23 And we want to take just a minute
16:24 and let Nadya introduce her,
16:27 but not just we have mentioned her name
16:30 but to tell something about her.
16:32 But she also has her family, grandma, grandpa,
16:37 aunt, uncle, cousins that are watching in Russia.
16:43 And Ukraine. And Ukraine.
16:45 Oh, I didn't know that. Russia and Ukraine.
16:47 What part of Russia?
16:49 Southern part, by the Black Sea.
16:51 Okay. Beautiful area.
16:52 Oh, I bet, yeah. And Ukraine, where?
16:57 I don't know where it was. Southeast kind of.
16:59 I've been to Kiev, Ukraine. Yeah, far from the Kiev.
17:02 We did some meetings here with John Carter.
17:04 Oh, he's powerful, powerful.
17:06 But I would like, I would like, Nadya,
17:08 if you don't mind, I'd like for you to take a minute
17:10 and just share something about your beautiful daughter
17:16 and first in English just a little
17:19 but then we want to take the time,
17:21 so bear with us, we want to take the time
17:24 to where Nadya can greet her family
17:27 and present Sofiya to her family
17:30 in the Soviet Union in Russia.
17:33 And she's gonna do it in Russian.
17:35 I mean, I talked to C.A. and C.A. said, that's awesome.
17:37 Because we've got a lot of Russian viewers and they don't,
17:42 you know, a lot of them don't know English that well
17:44 and they would love that, so--
17:46 Okay. It's yours.
17:49 Well, this is our daughter Sofiya.
17:51 She is almost four-years-old.
17:54 Good daughter, yes. Yeah.
17:56 She is one of like us.
17:57 Try to behave, try to be a good girl.
18:01 Likes to sing and taken violin lessons.
18:04 So she is learning to play violin.
18:07 Wow. I love violin.
18:08 She will play in the church soon hopefully.
18:09 Yeah, she would like to sing for church.
18:11 Oh, you like to play the violin?
18:13 Oh, beautiful. Yes.
18:15 Okay. All right.
18:18 Now--
18:19 You want me to say something in Russian?
18:20 No more than something.
18:22 I want you to talk to your family
18:24 and show off that beautiful baby.
18:27 Well--
18:41 Okay, thank you so much. Oh, you are welcome.
18:43 I see that, that touched your heart
18:45 and I know that, you don't get to go home
18:48 as often as you would like to.
18:50 So this opportunity to speak to your family--
18:52 Yeah.
18:54 And I know that's touching your heart
18:56 and introducing your daughter.
18:58 Robert, I know that you have had an opportunity
19:03 to nurture this woman here in the United States
19:07 and to be a blessing to her.
19:09 I want to say she is nurturing me.
19:11 I mean, her father was a pastor
19:13 and I hear this many times, it's a very nice thing
19:17 because he would always invite people over Sabbath
19:19 or whenever to feed them
19:21 and spread the message about God
19:23 because he was in Ukraine and Russia
19:25 they were persecuted.
19:27 She went through a lot of persecution for it
19:28 by teacher that who would hit her, saying,
19:30 "Why don't you come to school?"
19:32 But she went through all the persecution and,
19:35 but she would always wants people,
19:37 you know, to share.
19:39 And my mom she's from Serbia and she also,
19:42 I remember here in America,
19:43 she came to America when she was really young.
19:46 They would all-- she would always,
19:48 well, in my family they would always invite people over to
19:51 and because of that, I will tell without her
19:53 I probably wouldn't be inviting people over because I--
19:57 she brings up Jesus in me many times.
19:59 She is always thinking of other people.
20:00 She is always bringing up, I'd say, the best in me.
20:04 Well, I like people, we invite them.
20:05 We like people, yeah.
20:07 To invite people to our house
20:08 and thank you for inviting to us to your house.
20:10 Yeah. You are welcome. It's a good gift.
20:11 And I understand and I know that you are an excellent cook
20:14 and so when people comes to home--
20:16 Still learning.
20:17 Okay, before Nadya,
20:19 my meal if cooked would be rice and beans.
20:23 So it is a big step up.
20:26 I mean, I've learned how to bake a potato now.
20:28 Wow. And mashed potatoes.
20:30 Mashed potato, boil it.
20:36 Well, there is no doubt about Mollie being a good cook
20:38 but you can look at me and tell she's a good cook.
20:42 She's a southern belle and a southern cook
20:46 and praise God for that, so.
20:50 Mollie, why don't you get the scripture ready
20:52 and maybe we can cover...
20:56 Sofiya into maybe sharing a Bible story with us
20:59 while we are getting ready here.
21:01 See if she is bonding to.
21:03 Oh, Bible story, good book. Okay.
21:06 Well, I will open them with the scriptures
21:08 while Sofiya is getting ready with her Bible story.
21:12 We are going to be in Matthew the 28 chapter,
21:15 I'm going to start in verse 16.
21:18 The scripture says and how, in my Bible,
21:22 how this is prefaced
21:23 and I bet it's prefaced that way in your Bible as well.
21:26 It's called the what, the Great Commission.
21:29 It says "Then the eleven disciples
21:31 went away into Galilee, to the mountain
21:34 which Jesus had appointed for them.
21:37 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him,
21:39 but some" did what?
21:41 What's that word? Doubted.
21:42 Doubted. "Some doubted."
21:44 So I want to show you
21:45 how Jesus addressed that doubting.
21:46 How many of you have doubt in your hearts sometimes?
21:48 Yes. That's what we shouldn't have.
21:50 We should not have that doubting.
21:52 "And Jesus came and spoke to them,
21:55 saying 'All authority.'"
21:57 Another translation says, "All power."
22:00 "Has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."
22:02 So who's got all the power and all authority?
22:05 Jesus.
22:07 Jesus has all power and all authority.
22:08 And then He turns right to those eleven.
22:11 Now remember, some of them were doubting
22:13 and this is what He says.
22:15 He says, "Go therefore..."
22:17 You know what He is saying?
22:18 I've got all the power and authority,
22:20 now I'm vesting it in you.
22:22 He vested it in those 11 but I want you to know
22:25 He is vesting it in everyone of us today.
22:28 "Go ye therefore,
22:30 and make disciples of all the nations,
22:32 baptizing them in the name of the Father
22:34 and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
22:37 teaching them to observe all things
22:39 that I have commanded you."
22:40 He tells them I've given you the power and the authority,
22:43 now I'm telling you what to teach them.
22:46 "All those things which I commanded you--"
22:48 And then to me, this is the most precious.
22:51 "And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
22:55 We don't even have to do it by ourselves.
22:57 Who's with us every time we step out?
22:59 So I know that some of the things
23:01 that some of you do on the Sabbath
23:03 is to go out witnessing
23:04 and I know that's one of the hardest things
23:06 for me to do because I tend to be a little shy.
23:09 You know, and I think that's fear,
23:11 afraid of rejection.
23:13 But we don't have to be afraid of rejection.
23:16 He says here "I'm giving you all power, all authority.
23:18 I'm telling you what to say to people and how,
23:21 He's there with us."
23:22 Yes, oh. He is there with us.
23:24 Doesn't leave us on our own.
23:25 I think the devil knows our fears.
23:26 He knows one the biggest fear
23:28 is the fear of other people and talking to them.
23:31 Not even about Jesus, about anything, we have a fear.
23:34 I mean, if you look at the world today,
23:35 we all have our own phones,
23:37 we are all just within ourselves.
23:38 Yeah.
23:40 And the devil knows that and so
23:41 God is trying to give us the encouragement here.
23:43 Go out, all power is given.
23:45 I think too it's a lot more easier
23:46 when we make it to be, we try to over think things
23:48 and we get to where we talk ourselves out of it
23:50 because "Well, Lord, you know, I don't know what to say,
23:52 I don't know what to do."
23:53 That's much more easier than we think.
23:55 I mean, just looking at somebody,
23:56 and may be something on that person,
23:57 you know, I can see their hat.
23:59 Just speak to them it's really simple
24:00 and just Lord will open a doors.
24:02 You step out just a little bit in faith
24:03 and just that moment,
24:05 Lord will give you that encouragement
24:06 to witness that person.
24:07 I've seen it many times.
24:09 You know, I-- go ahead.
24:10 No, you go ahead.
24:11 Our thoughts, our theme is the blessing is on the go
24:15 and we shared yesterday morning in worship.
24:18 We go, you know, he is power steering
24:21 until you get to moving.
24:23 So you get to moving, don't just sit there.
24:25 You get to moving and allow God to give you the power to do it.
24:29 But when you go, you want to go with God
24:32 and go being led by the Holy Spirit.
24:35 It's so important to be led but it's amazing
24:38 what the Holy Spirit will do and how he will direct you.
24:43 I shared this in Mollie's Sabbath school class
24:45 where it's talking about witnessing recently
24:47 that Mollie and I were in Alabama,
24:49 probably about 25 years ago and we got up,
24:51 we were playing golf we were on vacation.
24:54 We got up to the first tee
24:55 and a guy was standing there and he said,
24:57 "Would you guys like to play with me?
24:59 I'm playing by myself."
25:01 And I said, "Yeah, we don't play good,
25:02 but we do play fast."
25:04 And he said, "Well, come on."
25:06 And so I got up there and I said--
25:09 say his name was Bill, I don't remember right now.
25:11 "Bill, what do you do?"
25:12 And he said, "You would never guess
25:14 in a million years what I do."
25:16 I said, "God, I want to witness to this guy,
25:18 open a door here, don't wanting to shut down."
25:21 He said, "There are only about four of us in the world
25:24 that do this."
25:26 And as I'm standing here
25:28 and Mollie bears witness with it.
25:30 The Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and said,
25:33 "He restores old books.
25:38 He binds and rebinds old books."
25:42 And so I just told him,
25:44 "You restore old books, you are book binder."
25:46 And he turned around and dropped his golf club
25:48 and said, "A book?"
25:51 Needless to say, he heard every word about it.
25:57 I didn't play golf that good that day
25:58 but I sure witnessed about Jesus that day.
26:01 So when you go the blessing is on the go,
26:03 so go with God and go with the leading
26:07 and the power of the Holy Spirit.
26:10 I like when you said
26:11 how about it needs to be spirit led
26:13 because if not we can make a mess of it.
26:15 You know, it's like and asking God every morning,
26:17 who can I--
26:19 who would You have me to witness to You.
26:20 It might be more than one person
26:21 but if He leads you, then that's the key,
26:24 you know, that we--
26:25 you know found that out there,
26:27 you know, through just the witnessing and stuff
26:30 that asking for those opportunities
26:32 and that the Holy Spirit would prompt you
26:34 when that person is in your path.
26:36 You know, and that's the key as a Holy Spirit.
26:37 Another thing I like to add to that too,
26:39 it's the blessing is on the go like you said that faith,
26:41 when you are asking, pray for those things,
26:43 "Lord, I want divine appointments,
26:44 I want to reach summit for the gospel."
26:46 When He gives you that moment, don't step back,
26:48 well, I'm not-- you know, you need to step forward
26:49 and Lord will just, He'll take that moment
26:51 and you'll be amazed
26:52 and not only does that encourage that person
26:54 but it also encourages your faith.
26:55 You know, if you don't get out there,
26:56 your faith is more encouraged as you do I think so.
26:59 You know, if you don't hear anything else
27:00 I'll say tonight, I want you to hear this.
27:04 You are not responsible for the end result
27:07 when God tells you to do something.
27:09 You are responsible for being obedient to God.
27:13 So if God speaks to you and tells you to do this,
27:17 then what you need to do
27:19 is you need to go ahead and do it.
27:21 It doesn't matter whether they tell you are crazy.
27:23 If they tell you the nut, you are a nut.
27:25 You can tell, "I might be a nut
27:26 but I'm screwed on the right bolt
27:28 and that bolt is Jesus Christ."
27:29 Amen.
27:31 But anyway, you know,
27:32 you got to be led by the spirit of God
27:35 when you do these things.
27:36 Go and God will honor that
27:38 and you're not responsible for the end result.
27:40 Hear it again.
27:42 You are responsible for being obedient to God.
27:44 Here we had a young lady who asked us
27:46 just a few weeks ago, we went to a funeral.
27:48 And the young lady we spoke to,
27:50 I haven't seen this young man in quite a while.
27:51 We used to work with but she asked us out.
27:54 You know, I felt the Lord impressed me,
27:55 give her this glow track that says "Talking with God"
27:58 and she says, "How do you know how to do that?
28:00 What is it?"
28:01 And I tell her it's the spirit that tells us,
28:02 it impresses you.
28:04 This is what this person needs
28:05 this particular time and I give it to him.
28:06 And she is like, "Oh, wow."
28:08 So, she was really attracted
28:09 and wanted to know more about how the spirit functions
28:11 and how we work, you know, impressing people with them
28:14 and truly give them so--
28:15 It's amazing.
28:17 The Spirit of God will lead us.
28:18 He's our teacher and He's our guide.
28:20 You know, how something that you mentioned earlier
28:24 was that, learning to keep the Sabbath,
28:28 learning because again, we were in our 50s
28:32 when we came into the Adventist Church.
28:34 We came into the truth of the Sabbath.
28:36 Praise the Lord. Yeah.
28:37 And so keeping the Sabbath and Hal mentioned
28:42 initially we thought going to church on Saturday
28:45 was what this was about,
28:47 that's just part of it, you know.
28:50 But learning how to keep the Sabbath
28:53 and never having any training in this,
28:55 you know, and see I know with you two
28:59 as you were talking you were a preacher's kid,
29:02 you are a PK.
29:03 Robert, were you a preacher's kid? No.
29:05 But you were raised strongly in the Adventist Church.
29:07 Yes. Yes.
29:08 So you have heritage, you have history.
29:10 You had examples in your home of-- to follow
29:14 and fortunately you have the same example
29:17 so that made it very compatible for you.
29:20 And Hal, and I didn't. We had to learn.
29:23 And I wanted to ask Janelle and Donald,
29:27 were you raised in an Adventist Church
29:29 and do you have this history and heritage
29:31 and if not, how did you learn to keep the Sabbath?
29:34 What were the steps the Lord led you
29:38 to learn how to keep the Sabbath?
29:39 One minute, I will share with you.
29:41 Mine will just be pretty quick,
29:42 he's got a better testimony, I think.
29:45 I was raised Seventh-day Adventist
29:47 and then I was baptized about age 12.
29:51 And then about a year after that,
29:53 my parents got divorced
29:54 and so we stopped going to church
29:56 and hadn't been to church in a long time.
29:58 And a lot of stuff that I'm learning now, honesty,
30:01 I mean, you know, I know I was a kid then
30:03 but He's just really opened up a lot of things to me
30:06 that I didn't know about, never remember hearing.
30:08 So, you know, praise the Lord for that.
30:10 But yeah, it was--
30:12 that my parents planted the seeds
30:14 at a young age and unfortunately
30:16 they changed a little bit later but...
30:19 It's back now.
30:20 But, yeah, the Lord spoke on my heart back in 2008,
30:25 things had to get right in my life
30:27 and I never even heard of the Adventist message.
30:28 I didn't even know or was even had neighbors
30:30 across the street the kid that were Adventist like,
30:31 I'm really like what Adventist do.
30:34 But I am so, I started studying on some things
30:38 and the Lord really impressed me in a dream,
30:41 back in February 2008.
30:42 He had talked to me and He said that God is coming.
30:46 I mean, I know it came from Him specifically.
30:48 And I was like, I got to get some things right in my life.
30:49 So I started studying and also He put in my mind sabado.
30:54 Like that's Spanish. I know Spanish.
30:56 So study that word out
30:57 and I studied on the different languages.
30:59 Russian, how is it in Russian? Subbota.
31:00 Subbota. Subbota?
31:02 Subbota see, subbota.
31:03 I'm like, "Wow, there's something to this.
31:05 A Sabbath thing."
31:06 So we really started it studying that
31:08 and we went through this, study called Steps to Christ,
31:11 both of us to kind of wrap this up.
31:12 I don't know.
31:14 I don't think you mentioned but he thought my church,
31:15 my parents were weird
31:17 for taking us church on Saturdays
31:19 when we were kids.
31:20 And he said, what's that all about?
31:21 Were you guys trying to be different
31:23 or, you know, what's up with that?
31:25 And so he kind of, kind of led into the,
31:29 you know, the reason why.
31:31 He wanted to know why.
31:32 Well, we studied Steps to Christ together
31:34 and two months prior to finish up Steps to Christ,
31:37 I said in my head, "I want to go to church now.
31:39 I really want to go to church.
31:41 Sound like sinners anything to her
31:42 and after we finished it, she said, "You know what,
31:45 I think I want to go to church now."
31:47 But we were keeping this Sabbath actually at home,
31:48 we didn't think we needed church kind of,
31:50 I'm sure many of us have been down that path.
31:52 You know, well, you don't need to go to church,
31:54 we can do it here.
31:55 And the Lord impressed us.
31:56 And what was really funny,
31:58 as soon as I got into the church in 2009,
31:59 I got baptized and they instantly said
32:01 "Hey, you want to be deacon?"
32:02 I'm like what's a deacon? What is a deacon?
32:04 I don't know what that is.
32:06 So they quickly put me in position
32:09 to do something in a church
32:10 and I was privileged and then I realized,
32:12 "You know what, this is a privilege
32:14 to even be in this church and now to open it and function
32:16 because here we were sitting in our living room,
32:18 and we're saying, well, we'll keep the Sabbath at home,
32:19 we don't need to go there.
32:20 So the Lord really opened the door so--
32:23 You know, what I want you to do is
32:25 come back to you, Hal, if this will work.
32:28 Okay.
32:29 And let you tell our viewers
32:32 because I know that so many of our viewers
32:35 are like Hal and I and like you are.
32:37 We weren't raised Adventist.
32:40 And how you,
32:41 what you do on the Sabbath to keep the Sabbath?
32:44 But remember I said earlier
32:46 that Sofiya was going to tell a story.
32:48 Yes.
32:49 I think Sofiya that it's time for you to tell a story
32:52 if you are ready to.
32:53 Are you ready to tell your story?
32:55 Over here. Okay.
32:57 All right. You've got a big smile.
32:58 Now, if you are not, we'll wait a few minutes
33:00 but if you want to tell your story now, you can.
33:02 I like to hear it.
33:04 Just look at this, what does it say?
33:06 She's just a little shy.
33:07 She's a little shy, now that's okay.
33:09 We know that she will, she wants to tell her story.
33:14 Sofiya, you will let us know
33:15 when you are ready to tell that story
33:17 and we'll be ready to listen to it.
33:19 But I want to ask you two,
33:22 you both being raised Adventist,
33:26 keeping the Sabbath from sundown on Friday
33:29 till sundown on Sabbath.
33:32 What is it that you do on the Sabbath?
33:35 You know, it's not just "all right, you start,
33:38 you read your Bible, you go to church."
33:40 I know you invite people to your homes.
33:42 There's so much to it and Hal's got some scriptures
33:45 or got a-- not some scripture
33:46 but you've got something from Sister White.
33:48 You want to read that? I would love to, Mollie.
33:50 So, let me put my glasses on because I'm old.
33:55 But I want to ask you all what you'd do? Okay.
33:57 This is powerful because so many people think
34:00 well, you know, "I go to church,
34:02 I go to Sabbath school, then I go to pot blessed lunch
34:06 and then I'll go home, take a nap and that's it
34:08 because I'm not supposed to do anything.
34:10 You see, that's just not so.
34:13 She says here Ellen White, this is from CH, 368.2,
34:18 "Your neglect to attend the public worship of God
34:20 is a serious error.
34:22 The privileges of divine service
34:24 will be as beneficial to you as to others
34:26 and are fully as essential.
34:29 But you may be unable to avail yourself
34:32 of these privileges as often as do many others.
34:36 You will frequently be called, upon the Sabbath,
34:39 to visit the sick, and may be obliged
34:43 to make it a day of exhausting labor."
34:46 For the Lord I will add.
34:48 "Such labor to relieve the sufferings
34:50 was pronounced by our Savior a work of mercy
34:54 and no violation of the Sabbath.
34:58 But when you regularly devote your Sabbaths
35:01 to writing or labor, making no special change,
35:05 you harm your own soul, give to others an example
35:10 that is not worthy of imitation,
35:13 and do not honor God."
35:15 We want to honor God but we can honor God
35:19 by being a witness on the Sabbath.
35:22 Witnessing to, you know, Jesus said
35:25 that after that the Holy Spirit has come upon you,
35:28 you shall be witnesses unto Me,
35:31 both in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria
35:34 and the outermost parts on the earth.
35:35 Well, I'm not a really smart guy,
35:37 but in Alabama, both is two
35:40 and He names four different places
35:42 where Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria is your own locale,
35:46 your own neighborhood, your own neighbors,
35:49 your own people that you are familiar with
35:52 and then to the outermost parts of the earth,
35:55 is when that you go to a different place or traveling
36:00 or whatever the case may be.
36:02 But what we need to be is not a witness every now and then,
36:06 we need to be a constant witness.
36:08 Now you have something you are talking about,
36:11 it's just the preacher
36:12 that's supposed to do the witnessing, right?
36:14 Yeah. Exactly, yeah. That's all his job.
36:17 Yeah, His job, is it?
36:18 Wait a minute, I don't think the world
36:20 would go so fast with it.
36:22 I don't think it will go but, you know,
36:23 I found out that sheep produce sheep.
36:25 Yeah, that's right. I like to read this.
36:29 This is another Ellen White's quotes here.
36:31 It's called "One Person Not to Do All the Witnessing."
36:35 "The fact that the Lord has been represented
36:38 as hearkening to the words spoken by His witnesses,
36:41 tells us that Jesus is in our very midst."
36:43 Did you hear that?
36:45 It tells us that Jesus is in our very midst.
36:47 He says, 'Where two or three are gathered together
36:50 in my name, there am I in the midst.'
36:53 One person is not to do all the witnessing for Jesus,
36:56 but everyone who loves God is to testify
36:59 of the preciousness of His grace and truth.
37:01 Those who receive the light of truth
37:03 are to have lesson upon lesson
37:05 to educate them not to keep silent,
37:08 but to speak often one to another.
37:10 They are to keep in mind the Sabbath meeting,
37:12 when those who love and fear God,
37:14 and who think upon His name,
37:16 can have opportunity to express their thoughts
37:18 in speaking one to another."
37:20 Now, I kind of liken this idea.
37:22 It's like, if you really love somebody,
37:23 when you want to go and tell somebody about it.
37:24 I mean, we just won't keep it to yourself.
37:27 When God comes into your life and He changes you,
37:29 it's like you can't hold it in.
37:31 You want to get out and you just see
37:32 all these people around you, just looks so unhappy,
37:34 miserable and you're like "wow"
37:36 you want them to have the same joy.
37:38 I think that's what we need to do as a group of people
37:40 and another thing too is that the Holy Spirit
37:42 is another part of the witnessing.
37:44 If we have the Holy Spirit with us,
37:45 like we've been talking about,
37:46 that's what we need to do this work.
37:48 Well, the quote that Hal read shows us
37:51 that we are to do benevolent acts of his goodness
37:54 on the Sabbath and you are saying
37:57 that it's not just the pastor that needs to do it.
37:59 That's exactly right.
38:00 It needs to be a sheep as well.
38:02 So, Nadya and Robert, is Sofiya ready to tell her story?
38:08 Well, I was just talking about the Sabbath.
38:09 I'm a working progress. Okay.
38:12 I'm working progress, that and for me that means
38:14 every Sabbath I know, I've failed every time.
38:18 There are times even, you know,
38:20 recent I go and I follow the news well,
38:23 I may in fact going back to the Bible.
38:26 And I'll say because of Nadya, the mindset of the Sabbath
38:29 doesn't actually start sundown, it starts in preparation.
38:31 Yes in preparation, that's good.
38:33 And, you know, I mow the lawn.
38:34 Nadya, she gets the house clean.
38:37 And you are talking on? On Friday. On Friday.
38:40 Friday, before the sundown.
38:41 I mean, there's the preparation and, you know,
38:43 when we look at Moses, you gather before,
38:47 you know, the day happens
38:49 to prepare yourself for the Sabbath.
38:51 So I think our mindset needs to start not on,
38:55 you know, "Oh, it's sundown.
38:57 Now everything get shut off, no TV, that's it."
38:59 No, it needs to start before that. Amen.
39:01 Those watching need to remember this is Friday night
39:04 and tomorrow would be a good day
39:07 for you to put everything that we are saying,
39:09 in everything in the Word of God into practice.
39:11 You are in preparation tonight.
39:12 We are ushering in the Sabbath into tomorrow
39:16 as you worship divine worship and everything,
39:20 ask God to prepare your heart to be a witness.
39:23 I think doesn't Sister White tell us
39:25 to guard the edges of the Sabbath.
39:27 That's right. Amen to that.
39:29 Well, what else we'd do on Sabbath? Well, yeah.
39:31 In the morning we'll go to church Sabbath school,
39:34 then, you know, sermon and, you know,
39:36 sometimes we stay for lunch or usually we come home
39:38 and invite people and afternoon,
39:41 sometimes we go for like nature walk,
39:44 you know, to enjoy because nature is another Bible that,
39:47 you know, God created that we can learn a lot.
39:50 Where we go, we start going to nursing homes.
39:54 Sometimes we go to West Frankfurt or Benton,
39:57 and those, you know, people who live there
40:00 come and sit down
40:02 and they'll listen to our singing.
40:04 And Sofiya sometimes has a solo there, don't you.
40:06 Yeah, and sometimes she will do,
40:07 you know, special music
40:09 and can be another witnessing to those people.
40:15 Oh, and I know that it must really touch their hearts.
40:20 I know, I've spent some time in a nursing.
40:23 Had a lady in the nursing home and I went quite often,
40:26 almost every afternoon I would drop down
40:28 and see her and the--
40:31 I got so attached to the others there in the nursing home.
40:34 They are so thankful
40:37 when you come to see them and spend some time with them.
40:39 Sometimes they cannot get out like,
40:40 every day and go see people
40:42 and they are happy when people come to them
40:44 and, you know, hug them, sing to them,
40:46 you know, beautiful old songs.
40:47 Yes. Oh, yeah.
40:49 There was a lady there who was visiting her,
40:52 I believe her father and she asks,
40:53 "Oh, that's very nice. What you're doing?
40:55 What church are you from?"
40:57 So it's not only witness to them there
41:00 but anyone who might be visiting.
41:01 And we are thinking, oh, we are going to bless them.
41:06 But who gets the most blessings?
41:08 That blessing comes back on us, multiple fold.
41:12 Now, you guys have a ministry of going out
41:16 and doing a lot of witnessing,
41:18 street witnessing, home witnessing
41:20 and when I used to be in sales, it was called "cold call"
41:24 where you didn't know the person,
41:26 you didn't have their number and everything.
41:27 Won't you share some of that with us?
41:29 Oh, my, you want to share a story for us?
41:31 Oh, I can start this one out.
41:32 And he gets more detailed at the story
41:34 so I think he might be better to kind of fine tune it.
41:36 But take off with it. Let's see what he does.
41:38 Okay, so we were at different church
41:42 this particular Sabbath that he was speaking at.
41:45 And so it was like about two hours away
41:48 and so we were coming back.
41:51 We had a friend with us
41:52 and so our friend was sitting in the front seat
41:56 and then I was sitting in the back seat
41:57 and as we were, we took a different route
41:59 than what we would normally like because
42:01 we've been to this church before for Don to speak there.
42:03 And for some reason,
42:06 he took a different route and so...
42:10 you can take it from there.
42:11 Yeah, we were heading on south to come back to Benton
42:15 and the road where we went,
42:16 it wide off to two different decisions.
42:18 So I wasn't sure which way should I go,
42:19 to the left or to the right.
42:21 Some says turn to the right, so we curved to the right
42:23 and we go down maybe half a mile.
42:26 We see this gentleman probably in his 30s, 40s
42:29 behind him this suitcase and the suitcase behind him,
42:33 I said, well I looked at, Yanick was with us.
42:36 It was you and me and Yanick.
42:37 I said, shall we pick this gentleman up and I'm like...
42:40 Some said pick him up and prior to all this had me,
42:43 I should back this story up.
42:44 This church we went to, one of the gentleman
42:46 by the name of Paul was kind of,
42:48 he made his own home, made bread
42:50 and he gave us a loaf to take home with us.
42:52 I was guarding it.
42:53 And she was like, "Excuse me, I am not,
42:55 this is my loaf of bread."
42:57 And then other gentleman, when I preached there,
42:59 he said he really enjoyed the sermon.
43:01 He said, "I want you to have this"
43:03 and he slipped me a hundred dollar bill.
43:04 Wow. Praise God.
43:05 Hundred dollar bill
43:07 and we don't have a whole lot of money in our wallet.
43:08 Can I go with you next time?
43:09 He passed away. Oh.
43:11 Yeah, he passed away this year.
43:12 But so we are traveling, pick up this gentleman,
43:15 you know, we are like, "what do we witness,
43:17 how do we witness this man?"
43:18 He told us that he was actually in a living--
43:20 staying in an abandoned home and the police came and said
43:23 You need to get to out of here. You are not to stay in here.
43:25 So that's why he's walking in the street
43:26 and trying to get to Mount Vernon.
43:28 So he said, "Okay, we can get there,
43:29 we can turn that way."
43:31 So we traveled, we picked him up,
43:32 get him in the car, we go to Mount Vernon.
43:34 He sits in the back seat with her.
43:35 She's like, "This is a little awkward."
43:36 Yeah, it was very awkward.
43:38 I said, "I don't know if I'll like this."
43:39 Yeah, he is homeless.
43:41 And so we got into this point
43:42 where he needed to be dropped off.
43:44 We get him out, he gets out of the car,
43:46 gets his luggage and stuff and gave him a book.
43:48 I think its "Great Controversy."
43:50 Gave him "The Great Controversy."
43:51 You need to read this, this is about the battle
43:53 between good and evil, so it's gonna help you.
43:55 And then she said--
43:56 in her mind she said, "Well, I want to give this man
43:57 the loaf of bread" because he is homeless.
43:59 So she gave him the loaf of bread.
44:01 Ungrudgingly.
44:03 And same for me with the $100 bill.
44:05 You know, I said I had this envelope with $100 bills
44:07 still in my wallet and he said, look.
44:09 So the guy walks off, he goes on these steps
44:11 to go to this, like apartment complex and the Lord says,
44:13 "You know, you got a $100 bill in your pocket."
44:15 Oh my. No, no. Not the $100 bill. No, no.
44:19 No, no, God, doesn't my God.
44:21 How many of us have rebuked the devil?
44:24 He say, "You need to go follow him
44:25 and give him the $100 bill."
44:27 He said, "Don't judge him,
44:28 don't think about Me he's going to pass us.
44:29 Just give him the hundred dollar bill and go."
44:31 So I go down the steps and, you know, I'm looking around.
44:33 He's gone and I'm like, Oh, may be he was an angel.
44:34 It was a test, okay, I'm gonna go back
44:36 and nope I looked just down, there he is, oh, man.
44:39 So I run down, I gave him a $100 bill and get back
44:42 and just, just when you pray that Lord opens up doors
44:45 and it's just amazing when you get that opportunity
44:47 to really witness to somebody.
44:49 You don't know what impact that little moment makes.
44:51 And, you know, I'm thinking,
44:53 we would love to like have this gentleman's,
44:56 the rest of the story.
44:58 And we won't get the rest of story until we turn it.
45:01 Amen. So we get there--
45:02 But someday we will get the rest of that story. Yeah.
45:05 God is good.
45:07 I was on the way to Alabama
45:10 and I didn't pick up hitchhikers.
45:12 We traveled so much
45:14 and traveled at night a lot times.
45:15 I just didn't pick up hitchhikers
45:17 and there was a guy hitchhiking on the side of the road
45:20 in Paducah, Kentucky,
45:23 and the Lord spoke to me and said, "Pick him up."
45:25 I said, "No." And then Lord said, "Pick him up."
45:26 I said, "No" and the Lord said,
45:28 "Pick him up or you'll be toast."
45:31 And so, no, not really but, ow! Quit hitting me.
45:36 But the Lord did not tell you, you will be toasted.
45:38 No, He didn't say I would be toasted
45:40 but I pulled over and picked him up
45:42 and when he started running for the car,
45:43 he held his hand on his jacket, on his belt
45:48 and the first thing I thought was,
45:51 "Oh, no. He's got a gun in his belt."
45:55 He went at the car, and he opened the door
45:57 and then Lord said, "Witness to him."
45:59 He opened the door and I said, "I want you to know
46:01 that I am listening to a Christian tape,
46:02 a Christian CD
46:04 and if you get in here, and you ride.
46:05 Where are you going? Hopkinsville.
46:06 If you get in here,
46:08 you are gonna listen that all the way to Hopkinsville,
46:09 and you are gonna hear about Jesus
46:11 so we listened to the CD for a little while.
46:13 I turned it off,
46:15 back then I think it was the tape,
46:16 but I turned it off and started telling him about Jesus,
46:19 just talking to him about Jesus.
46:21 Witnessing to him, telling him our testimony.
46:24 Your testimony is the most powerful thing that you have.
46:27 Tell him about Jesus
46:29 but tell him if you've been there on both sides
46:32 if you've been there.
46:33 So I told him all about that and he got tears in his eyes.
46:36 We stopped at Hopkinsville
46:37 and I felt like the Lord told me
46:39 to give him some money.
46:41 I had a five in my billfold, I had a twenty in my billfold,
46:46 and I had a hundred.
46:48 Which one do you think God told me to give him?
46:51 So I handed it to him
46:52 and he just almost started crying
46:54 and he said, "I want to show you something, Hal."
46:56 And he opened up his jacket
46:59 and he had a pistol in his jacket.
47:03 And he said, "I've been trying to get a job.
47:05 Couldn't get a job.
47:07 My family has no groceries, hungry.
47:12 I've got three kids
47:14 and I got in this car with the intention of robbing you."
47:16 Oh, wow.
47:17 But he said back there, just the ways when you were
47:19 talking about Jesus and how He had blessed you,
47:22 this is what I knew that I needed.
47:25 So I ask Jesus into my heart.
47:29 Instead of getting shot I got a blessing
47:32 and he got a blessing too so as a matter.
47:35 You know, Nadya told me a story about her mother in Russia.
47:38 Just-- you don't have to witness all the time,
47:40 just be a Christian.
47:42 Yeah. And her family just had a garden.
47:45 Were nice people in Russia
47:47 and when it came time they moved.
47:49 But there is a lady who would always
47:50 walk by their house
47:51 and one day, they weren't there.
47:53 She asked around where did they go.
47:55 "Oh, he's a pastor and he moved to another place."
47:57 And she's like, ''Oh, what church did they go to?"
47:59 I want to know where these people work
48:01 because they are all the time they just talk
48:04 and she would walk by and the mom would talk.
48:05 Yeah, my mom was a little shy, you know, even pastor's wife
48:09 but she was kind of, you know, shy to speak to people,
48:12 you know, and being in front and speak
48:15 but she was always smiling just saying hi, and just smile.
48:19 Sometimes give something from the garden,
48:21 pick some flowers and give to people.
48:23 It's how people learn about God then came to Jesus.
48:28 She showed them Jesus. Yes.
48:29 But she became an Adventist
48:30 and you said someone else became a pastor that she knew?
48:33 Yeah, another friend also was passing, looking at her smiling
48:37 and then he became a deacon and pastor now.
48:40 He's still in church being pastor.
48:42 Praise God. Wow.
48:43 We hope that some thing,
48:45 we still got just a little bit of time,
48:46 but we are gonna go with
48:48 some prayer request here in just a moment.
48:49 We hope something that we have said
48:52 has sparked something in you that you can be a witness.
48:56 You don't have to be an elder, you don't have be a deacon,
48:59 just a child of God and God will be with you
49:01 and God will honor that
49:03 and the Holy Spirit will lead you.
49:05 You know, I did want to say we have a couple of instances
49:09 here where people picked up hitchhikers
49:11 and I know that's a dangerous thing to do
49:14 but listen to what each one of these situations say it.
49:18 Initially which was the spirit of the Lord
49:20 prompted your heart.
49:21 We never picked up hitchhiker.
49:23 Yeah, and be led by the spirit of the Lord.
49:26 When you step out and do something
49:29 that might be a little different
49:31 than what you normally do.
49:32 And how this witnessing and going out,
49:35 you know, the scripture we looked at initially
49:38 that Great Commission.
49:39 First and foremost, He gives you the power,
49:42 He gives you the authority,
49:43 He invest that into us, His followers
49:47 and then He gives us the commission
49:49 which is to just go tell people about Jesus.
49:51 Hal said it earlier,
49:53 your personal testimony is the most powerful thing
49:55 you have to share and He's with you.
49:58 He's gonna be with you always.
50:00 I remember the first time I tried to speak publicly.
50:05 I was so frightened that I couldn't get enough air
50:09 in my lungs to push a word out.
50:12 Now, you all won't gonna believe that today
50:14 but I wasn't a public speaker.
50:17 I couldn't speak in front of people.
50:19 She got sick after she spoke.
50:20 One time I spoke I got--
50:22 before I spoke, Hal,
50:24 the first speaking engagement ever had.
50:26 Hal accepted it for me
50:28 and so then I had to do it and--
50:30 There were several hundred women before us.
50:33 I got a migraine headache
50:34 and threw up two times before I spoke.
50:37 So it's a process
50:39 and what you do is yield to the Lord.
50:42 And ask Him to help you
50:44 and He'll be with you every step of the way.
50:46 Yes, as we usher in the Sabbath tonight,
50:50 welcoming the presence of God and the Holy Spirit
50:54 and you do go to the Church tomorrow and Sabbath school,
50:58 I hope Ellen White said, that's where the really,
51:01 the need of it all, not the little, little sermon.
51:04 But don't forget tomorrow afternoon
51:07 if the Lord prompts you to go somewhere
51:09 and speak to somebody or sick, visit somebody or share him.
51:14 Go to nursing home. Nursing homes.
51:15 We've got a few prayer requests,
51:17 we are gonna move through here.
51:19 Robert's gonna read
51:20 and then we are gonna have a word of prayer.
51:22 Okay, we have a Kay from Canada,
51:24 is requesting a special prayer for her son-in-law, Rodney.
51:27 He's been diagnosed with cancer.
51:30 Genevieve in California is a 101 years young
51:34 but her son at the age of 70
51:35 has cut off all communication with her.
51:37 So she requests prayer
51:38 that her son would renew the communication with her.
51:42 Bob in Florida is an active witness for the Lord
51:44 and giving out Bible studies in his area.
51:46 He requests praying for those he has shared his studies with,
51:50 that the Holy Spirit will move upon their hearts
51:52 to make a decision for Christ.
51:54 Silverstein in Illinois is praying for a miracle.
51:58 Yes.Yes. We know them.
52:00 Her precious husband Mike
52:01 was seriously in need of God's mercy
52:02 and grace due to heart issues.
52:05 Elaine in Texas is combating a serious issue.
52:08 She is recouping-- is recouping from illness
52:11 and wants to know more about Jesus.
52:13 Vernal in New Jersey is struggling with work issues
52:16 that seemed to be overwhelming.
52:18 In addition she is concerned for her sons
52:19 and is pleading with God for their salvation.
52:22 Nancy in California is asking for our prayers.
52:25 Her mother has consented to study God's word with her.
52:29 And Rosanna in California is suffering with arthritis,
52:33 arthritis in her legs and hips that limits her mobility.
52:36 She wants to regain her mobility
52:38 so she can continue to be a witness for her family.
52:41 Amen. Amen.
52:42 We need to take these people and others before the Lord.
52:46 You are watching tonight and you do have prayer.
52:49 You know, we are not your high priest,
52:51 Jesus is your high priest
52:53 but what we do is we agree with that.
52:55 Now you are saying, "Well, you are there and I'm here."
52:59 Well, the Word of God in 1 Corinthians 6:17 says,
53:01 "He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with God."
53:03 That means that we are joined at the hip,
53:06 one father, different mothers.
53:08 So wherever you are,
53:09 by the Spirit of God we are joined with you.
53:12 So we can agree with you in prayer.
53:15 I'm gonna ask Don if he will to pray and then,
53:18 I'm gonna ask Mollie, if she will to pray.
53:22 And we are gonna believe, we are going to trust
53:23 and rely on the Spirit of God to touch you,
53:26 no matter how many miles between us,
53:28 even in Russia and Ukraine.
53:30 And I am thinking of all of these prayer requests,
53:33 maybe one of them really touched your heart.
53:36 And if it did that, we are asking
53:37 that you join with us in prayer
53:39 but also take these prayer needs as well,
53:42 for one can put a thousand,
53:45 two can put ten thousand, so join with us.
53:48 We're gonna bow our heads in prayer. Yes.
53:51 O, Heavenly Father, Lord of all creation,
53:54 Lord, we are amazed by how you Lord,
53:58 have plucked us out and each one of us
54:00 have brought us to this truth, Lord, in this time.
54:03 Amazing journey that You placed us on
54:05 and how You are wanting to get your children back home.
54:08 Lord, we just thank You for this opportunity
54:10 to spent this Friday night, the Sabbath eve with You, Lord.
54:13 On Your glorious day that You have sanctify
54:16 and set apart for holy use, Lord.
54:18 We should go out to be "repairers of the breach
54:20 and restorers of the past dwell"
54:22 as You say in Isaiah 58:12.
54:24 Lord, You have heard these powerful requests
54:27 and the testimonies shared uplifting You, Lord, in praise.
54:31 We know that there's a time coming
54:33 when our all eyes will be drawn upon the skies
54:35 and see You break forth
54:37 and take us home to be where You are, Lord.
54:40 Now we can finally say this is our God,
54:41 we have waited for Him and there are so many, Lord,
54:43 suffering right now many across,
54:46 not only this United States, but across the entire world.
54:49 And I'm thinking of Japan, Lord,
54:51 the floods that it experienced.
54:53 Just pray, Lord, that You will touch them and help them, Lord,
54:55 and also those who were lifted tonight,
54:58 thinking about this lady that her son
55:01 had been separated communication for 70 years.
55:04 That's a long time, Lord.
55:05 We know that You are able to break down barriers
55:08 that You can break down prejudice, hurts and pains.
55:12 I just pray to open her hearts and give it to You, Lord,
55:14 and also concerning the bearers Lord,
55:17 Michael and Celestine, you know, that situation
55:20 and also those, Lord, that are listening tonight.
55:22 Maybe they are making a decision for the first time.
55:25 I want to keep the Sabbath. I want to know how.
55:27 I pray, Lord, that You will open up the word to them
55:30 and as I've never seen it before, Lord,
55:31 we know what Your spirit is mighty and powerful to save.
55:34 We just pray that You're anointing
55:36 each one listening tonight,
55:37 each one here present that, Lord, Your spirit will move
55:40 and that, Lord, this time that is soon upon us,
55:43 so we will have this strength and courage
55:44 to go out and witness to the world
55:46 that Your gospel can save and heal
55:49 and bring those lost sons and daughters back in the fold.
55:51 We pray this in a powerful, precious,
55:53 wonderful name of Jesus Christ, amen.
55:56 Thank you, Father.
55:58 And, Father, we bring before Your throne of grace
56:00 all of our viewers and our listeners
56:02 and those needs that are so heavy upon their hearts.
56:06 Father, we stand them before You and ask, O, Lord,
56:09 that you would touch everyone of them.
56:10 Draw them, Lord, closer to You.
56:12 These prayer needs that we just heard,
56:14 Father, we thank You that Your ear isn't deaf
56:17 nor Your arms shortened, but, Father,
56:18 You are actively moving on behalf of those
56:22 that have such a need before You.
56:24 Now we commend them unto Your hands,
56:25 we praise You and thank You, Lord,
56:27 for Your presence, for Your grace
56:29 and Your mercy and Your goodness to us.
56:30 Thank you, Lord,
56:32 that Your grace and mercy has renewed every morning
56:34 and, Lord, we can rely on You and depend on You,
56:37 now we commend our lives and our hearts into your hands
56:40 and ask You, Lord, to direct our steps in our thoughts.
56:43 In Jesus' name, amen. Amen.
56:45 The Word of God says, "Study to shew yourself
56:47 approved unto God, a workman that not to be ashamed
56:50 but rightly dividing the word of truth."
56:52 Witness said rightly if you couldn't wrongly divide it.
56:55 So be sure rightly divide the word of truth
56:58 and study to shew yourself approved.
57:01 Find out what keeping the Sabbath holy really means.
57:04 It's more than just going to church on Sabbaths,
57:07 we've shared that.
57:08 It's more than just going to Sabbath school.
57:11 You're starting out here tonight
57:13 and this could be a new experience for your life,
57:16 this could be a new era,
57:19 a dawning of a new day and new understanding.
57:22 So take advantage of that
57:24 and allow the spirit of the Lord to lead you,
57:27 guide you, and direct you into keeping the Sabbath,
57:31 remembering it and keeping it holy.
57:34 God bless you, keep the faith. Amen. Amen. Amen.
