Welcome to 3ABN Today. My name is John Lomacang 00:01:08.20\00:01:10.67 and to my immediate right is my wife Angela. Always good to have 00:01:10.70\00:01:14.27 you on the program with me. 00:01:14.30\00:01:15.64 Always happy to be here and I'm glad that you have tuned in 00:01:15.67\00:01:18.71 today. You're going to be blessed by this program. 00:01:18.74\00:01:20.41 Yes, you're looking nice and chipper. Make me feel happy. 00:01:20.44\00:01:23.01 We're matching a little, huh? 00:01:23.04\00:01:26.48 Yes and you know we always are encouraged when you open your 00:01:26.51\00:01:29.85 home and turn your television on and maybe your radio if you're 00:01:29.88\00:01:32.42 listening by radio to invite 3ABN into your home and your 00:01:32.45\00:01:35.42 family. And we want to thank you for your prayers and all of your 00:01:35.46\00:01:38.49 support whether financial or physical, whether you're 00:01:38.53\00:01:41.96 volunteered or whatever you do even if it's prayer. Thank you 00:01:42.00\00:01:43.87 for all that you do to continue to keep this ministry going and 00:01:43.90\00:01:46.43 growing, getting ready for the coming of the Lord and Savior 00:01:46.47\00:01:50.11 Jesus Christ. And today's program is about missions. 00:01:50.14\00:01:54.04 Significant missions. We're going to talk about that in 00:01:54.08\00:01:56.01 detail today. You know we live in a very hopeless world and 00:01:56.04\00:01:59.18 there are many needs and we're going to be focused on a 00:01:59.21\00:02:02.48 particular region of the world today that our guests are going 00:02:02.52\00:02:04.32 to be talking about which we will introduce in just a moment. 00:02:04.35\00:02:07.36 But you may want to if you can, invite someone to sit down and 00:02:07.39\00:02:11.33 watch the program with you or if you're playing it back share 00:02:11.36\00:02:13.73 this with your church or your family members because I know 00:02:13.76\00:02:16.36 it's going to inspire you to not only support what we're going to 00:02:16.40\00:02:19.23 talk about today but also find a way that the Lord can use you 00:02:19.27\00:02:22.20 where you live to make a difference in your community and 00:02:22.24\00:02:26.78 well also in your church and maybe in your country depending 00:02:26.81\00:02:29.41 on where you are. But before that we have some music. 00:02:29.44\00:02:33.08 Yes we want to live the Lord's name on high and so we're going 00:02:33.11\00:02:36.22 to do that through this song by Tim Parton entitled Lord I Lift 00:02:36.25\00:02:41.02 Your Name on High. (Amen) 00:02:41.06\00:02:43.63 ¤ ¤ 00:02:43.66\00:05:30.53 Thank you so much for that wonderful song. That's what this 00:05:30.56\00:05:33.19 program is all about, lifting Jesus's name on high. And this 00:05:33.23\00:05:38.20 ministry continues to do that in bringing hope to other 00:05:38.23\00:05:41.87 individuals. So right now Honey why don't you introduce our 00:05:41.90\00:05:44.37 guests to us today. 00:05:44.41\00:05:45.74 Wow, this is Jesse Guillaume. Am I saying that right? Welcome 00:05:45.77\00:05:50.48 Jesse. (Thank you) Yes. 00:05:50.51\00:05:53.48 Thank you for inviting me to 3ABN and I want to give a 00:05:53.52\00:05:59.29 special thanks to my pastor, Pastor Rose, at Plantation 00:05:59.32\00:06:05.29 SDA Church and also to my members. The members have been 00:06:05.33\00:06:09.86 very supportive of my ministry. Thank you so much. 00:06:09.90\00:06:12.97 And you are the president of Hope Ministries Project. 00:06:13.00\00:06:16.34 Yes, I am. I'm the president also with the real president is 00:06:16.37\00:06:22.64 Jesus Where's the accent from? 00:06:22.68\00:06:25.25 I'm from Haiti so I have a French accent. That's why you 00:06:25.28\00:06:29.52 have that. 00:06:29.55\00:06:30.89 Okay, so we'll talk about some of the details in a moment 00:06:30.92\00:06:32.82 all right? (Okay) 00:06:32.85\00:06:34.89 Next to you is Steve Dalton. Welcome Steve. 00:06:34.92\00:06:37.16 Well, thank you very much. 00:06:37.19\00:06:39.56 Yes and you volunteer with the ministry? 00:06:39.59\00:06:42.46 Ah yes. You're watching Jesse and how she works and everything 00:06:42.50\00:06:47.74 she does it for the glory of God It just motivates me to know 00:06:47.77\00:06:52.04 be part of that. 00:06:52.07\00:06:53.51 And you're also a member at Plantation Seventh-day Adventist 00:06:53.54\00:06:56.71 Church. (I am, I am, yes) Yeah. Okay. 00:06:56.75\00:06:59.11 And you're a recent addition to the ministry. (Yes) Okay. 00:06:59.15\00:07:03.12 We'll talk about that more in detail. And who is this guy 00:07:03.15\00:07:06.55 across from us? 00:07:06.59\00:07:07.92 Aaha, I think I know him. He's been my brother all my life. 00:07:07.96\00:07:09.52 My mother had eight children and five were born on the island 00:07:09.56\00:07:16.16 of Jamaica and three were born in England. My brother Cliff was 00:07:16.20\00:07:20.77 the first one to be born in England, then I have a sister, 00:07:20.80\00:07:24.17 and then myself. So Cliff welcome. 00:07:24.21\00:07:28.04 Thank you. It's so nice to be here with my sister and 00:07:28.08\00:07:32.48 brother-in-law. 00:07:32.51\00:07:33.85 That's right. Good to be back. 00:07:33.88\00:07:35.25 Good to be back. 00:07:35.28\00:07:36.62 Yeah, you were here before. 00:07:36.65\00:07:37.99 And you and Jesse are long-time members of this Hope Ministry 00:07:38.02\00:07:41.32 we're going to talk about. 00:07:41.36\00:07:42.69 Yes, yes. Watching Jesse as she operates has really inspired 00:07:42.72\00:07:50.03 a lot of us here at Plantation SDA Church and I'm one of the 00:07:50.07\00:07:56.87 individuals whose...she has inspired me. She has helped me 00:07:56.91\00:08:01.74 to realize that we need to give back in every way we can. 00:08:01.78\00:08:06.78 That's right 00:08:06.82\00:08:08.15 And I forgot to ask, maybe I'll also ask Steve, because outside 00:08:08.18\00:08:10.55 of the ministry you also do something else for a living. 00:08:10.59\00:08:12.79 Correct? And what do you do? What's your full-time job? 00:08:12.82\00:08:16.79 My full-time job. I work as a teacher assistant for the school 00:08:16.83\00:08:23.10 board. I work in the shelter. And also I work as a private CNA 00:08:23.13\00:08:29.20 (Busy) Okay so that all helps in your ministry. (Yes) And Steve, 00:08:29.24\00:08:34.98 what about you? 00:08:35.01\00:08:36.95 Well one thing that I do is I'm a professional sports official. 00:08:36.98\00:08:42.95 I am a volleyball referee, nationally certified, travel the 00:08:42.98\00:08:48.22 country to referee volleyball. But I also have a T-shirt 00:08:48.26\00:08:53.43 printing business. So with that I've been able to do a lot of 00:08:53.46\00:08:59.60 the shirts for a lot of different ministries in the 00:08:59.63\00:09:02.07 church. And that's something I want to continue doing and get 00:09:02.10\00:09:08.44 Christian shirts out there and design my own Christian shirts. 00:09:08.48\00:09:09.81 Now the reason I'm mentioning that is because we...while you 00:09:09.84\00:09:13.68 are together in this ministry you do have a life that you live 00:09:13.72\00:09:17.62 outside of the ministry that continues to carry on. And I'll 00:09:17.65\00:09:20.99 ask Cliff the same thing. I already know the answer but I 00:09:21.02\00:09:22.89 want you to tell us what you do. 00:09:22.92\00:09:25.36 Okay, I work at Miami Dade Aviation Department. I am 00:09:25.39\00:09:30.90 basically a telecom engineer. So part of that is just putting 00:09:30.93\00:09:36.91 together certain structures for telecommunications when it comes 00:09:36.94\00:09:41.11 to the airport. And that varies in every way, could be a 00:09:41.14\00:09:45.85 telephone could be when it comes to data it's so many different 00:09:45.88\00:09:49.92 aspects of it, but because of time I can't really get too much 00:09:49.95\00:09:54.06 into that. 00:09:54.09\00:09:55.42 That's right because our program is about something else. So 00:09:55.46\00:09:57.53 let's just start with I think the basic question. When did 00:09:57.56\00:10:00.10 Hope begin? I think that's a good thing. (Yes) 00:10:00.13\00:10:03.70 Okay. Hope ministry began in 2004. It was a group of people 00:10:03.73\00:10:09.30 at the church. It was a miracle Tina, Mufa, and Yonny? 00:10:09.34\00:10:14.94 And they were having a potluck 00:10:14.98\00:10:17.28 and there were some leftover food. And I said 00:10:17.31\00:10:20.25 You know what let me go and pass out the food on the street. 00:10:20.28\00:10:23.92 And then we saw so many needs so many homeless and we said we 00:10:23.95\00:10:29.12 should do that every Saturday. So every Saturday we will make 00:10:29.16\00:10:34.00 food and go to Broward. 00:10:34.03\00:10:36.67 The Boulevard, yes. And it was not in Miami Dade yet. So when I 00:10:36.70\00:10:43.24 came aboard I started with the food every Saturday but there 00:10:43.27\00:10:46.88 was a shortage of water. And I took over the water. I say no 00:10:46.91\00:10:51.11 more shortage of water. I'll be providing the water. That's how 00:10:51.15\00:10:54.95 I got into the Hope Ministry. Then that issue in Broward 00:10:54.98\00:11:01.86 to the homeless and there was a need in Miami Dade. Then we 00:11:01.89\00:11:07.03 moved to Miami Dade to serve the homeless. It was much, much 00:11:07.06\00:11:10.27 bigger and Hope Ministry, we used to serve the food there 00:11:10.30\00:11:14.17 After that, there was a need for people for a place to stay. 00:11:14.20\00:11:19.24 And I said...there was a lady a young girl I met on Saturday 00:11:19.27\00:11:25.88 and she was on the street and she said she was being abused 00:11:25.91\00:11:30.12 by her father. And I said, Lord only if I could find a place to 00:11:30.15\00:11:36.96 have a sleep for the night I would be at peace instead of her 00:11:36.99\00:11:41.03 being on the street. So I took Dinner for Profit with Precious 00:11:41.06\00:11:47.20 house is now a permanent home has been helping over 100 people 00:11:47.24\00:11:52.14 who've been under league that they get back on their feet. 00:11:52.17\00:11:58.45 So you prayed for the Lord... This young lady inspired you 00:11:58.48\00:12:01.05 to pray for God to provide a place for homeless people, 00:12:01.08\00:12:06.49 people that are trying to make ends meet. And what did the Lord 00:12:06.52\00:12:08.62 give you? 00:12:08.66\00:12:10.99 Pastor Lomacang there's a miracle right there. And I 00:12:11.03\00:12:17.43 didn't know that my teacher had a house. When I went home I 00:12:17.47\00:12:20.80 prayed and the Lord said to me specifically, go to your school 00:12:20.84\00:12:25.24 Monday and ask that lady whenever she is selling a home 00:12:25.27\00:12:28.78 going to buy it. I didn't know she owned a home. So on Monday 00:12:28.81\00:12:34.92 morning I went to work. I didn't know. I never knew that she 00:12:34.95\00:12:37.79 owned a home in Miami. So I went to work on Monday morning and I 00:12:37.82\00:12:42.36 went to the work room where the mail room is. There goes the 00:12:42.39\00:12:46.49 lady. And can be a testimony too I say, Ma'am do you have a 00:12:46.53\00:12:52.00 house in Miami? She said yes. I said whenever you want to sell 00:12:52.03\00:12:56.60 that home I want to buy it. 00:12:56.64\00:12:59.14 At that time she probably didn't intend to sell the house 00:12:59.17\00:13:02.28 No her aunt was living in the place. Not even three months 00:13:02.31\00:13:06.48 passed by she invited me 00:13:06.51\00:13:07.85 to come and see the home. And she said Jesse, Guess what? I'm 00:13:08.18\00:13:12.69 not even going to sell you the house at the price that you want 00:13:12.72\00:13:16.16 It was appraised for $372,000 She said don't worry, I'll give 00:13:16.19\00:13:22.80 you a better price. You know how much she sold me the house? 00:13:22.83\00:13:27.74 $172,000. (Not even half) $172,000. And that lady when we 00:13:27.77\00:13:33.88 opened the Hope House, she's the one who provided towels. 00:13:33.91\00:13:39.18 Everything for the homeless to be at the house. 00:13:39.21\00:13:41.65 So the impression that you got from the Lord to ask about it 00:13:41.68\00:13:44.35 when she...you didn't even know she had the house and she wasn't 00:13:44.39\00:13:48.19 intending on selling it anyway. (Nope) When she sells it to you 00:13:48.22\00:13:52.56 the price was in half. Providential! 00:13:52.59\00:13:54.93 You can see the footprints of the Lord. That is a miracle. 00:13:54.96\00:13:59.27 And then the house has been helping over 100 people. 00:13:59.30\00:14:03.07 How many bedrooms? 00:14:03.10\00:14:04.44 We have six bedrooms. We have three bathrooms. But it's a 00:14:04.47\00:14:10.01 triplex. We have an in-law's quarter We have two duplexes, 00:14:10.05\00:14:15.25 two bedroom one bath on each side. But before we should do 00:14:15.28\00:14:19.59 only male but now we added the _ quarters for the family. So 00:14:19.62\00:14:25.29 whoever has a family going through hard times, we help 00:14:25.33\00:14:28.53 them. So that became the not-for-profit it gives you a 00:14:28.56\00:14:32.67 home to have the less fortunate. But Pastor not only the homeless. Hope Ministry 00:14:32.70\00:14:38.14 help people even from our church that are going through hard 00:14:38.17\00:14:42.11 times. 00:14:42.14\00:14:43.48 So from Plantation (Plantation) people that, members, that 00:14:43.51\00:14:44.85 are going through hard times. 00:14:44.88\00:14:46.21 And if I have refuge in that home. And that's 00:14:46.25\00:14:52.92 Hope Ministry from here in America. But deep in my heart 00:14:52.95\00:14:56.76 I feel I was missing something. What to do for my country? 00:14:56.79\00:15:01.56 (Which is?) Haiti. I said I give back to here. How about my 00:15:01.60\00:15:08.50 country. But in my heart, tipping my heart God knew, I 00:15:08.54\00:15:12.27 wanted an orphanage in Haiti. I wanted to take care 00:15:12.31\00:15:14.81 of the children. But with what means? 00:15:14.84\00:15:16.81 Just bought a house, I don't have a big income, 00:15:16.85\00:15:20.65 cannot build a home. But God made it happen. 00:15:20.68\00:15:24.85 So what we're saying here is when God gives you a dream He is 00:15:24.89\00:15:28.42 responsible for the dream being fulfilled. (Yes) 00:15:28.46\00:15:32.29 You have to be willing too. 00:15:32.33\00:15:33.93 You have to be willing, right, that's right. 00:15:33.96\00:15:35.43 To take the risk and trust God. Trust God and His word. So there 00:15:35.46\00:15:40.34 was an orphanage in Haiti and the children were in dire need. 00:15:40.37\00:15:43.71 And one of my classmates said Jesse, we need your help. 00:15:43.74\00:15:48.31 I said how can we do that in Haiti? And we took up a team 00:15:48.34\00:15:52.95 God made a group of people, and they could be Cliff, Carlos, 00:15:52.98\00:16:00.86 Akeem Daudi that will never be available again. That was a 00:16:00.89\00:16:04.56 sign for me from the Lord to make sure that was the team 00:16:04.59\00:16:08.10 that God wanted to be there to take care of the orphanage. 00:16:08.13\00:16:09.76 (How many of?) About 18 people called in. 00:16:09.80\00:16:13.84 It was here. Corlee, we had Sara, we had a lot of people 00:16:13.87\00:16:18.41 that team never happened again. 00:16:18.44\00:16:21.61 Wow, I think it's a good place to bring a clip right now. So 00:16:21.64\00:16:24.65 what was it like for you to go (first time to Haiti) to Haiti. 00:16:24.68\00:16:28.95 Well I can tell you this, it was life-changing because when you 00:16:28.98\00:16:34.06 go and you see how the kids were living, the poverty level, and 00:16:34.09\00:16:40.80 it was not good. They had no electricity, they had no running 00:16:40.83\00:16:46.30 water that was working at the time. They had barely any food. 00:16:46.33\00:16:51.27 I mean, it was really, really bad. And you can see that we 00:16:51.31\00:16:59.68 needed to step in and do something. And when we visited 00:16:59.71\00:17:05.55 I remember they were singing songs of welcome. They were just 00:17:05.59\00:17:10.36 so happy to see us because as I mentioned earlier I believe they 00:17:10.39\00:17:17.53 saw hope and what we had to give wasn't much but it...something 00:17:17.57\00:17:27.44 that's indescribable because you go there to bless them but you 00:17:27.48\00:17:32.51 end up being blessed. I mean I was totally...after we finished 00:17:32.55\00:17:37.95 that program, I said we have to do something to help these kids 00:17:37.99\00:17:43.19 in the orphanage in Haiti. We had to. 00:17:43.22\00:17:46.49 What's the age group? 00:17:46.53\00:17:47.86 They were from six months up to 18. (Six months?) Six months. 00:17:47.90\00:17:57.17 Wesley, Wesley was about six months old if I recall. 00:17:57.21\00:18:01.88 So it's interesting. How do you find out about these people that 00:18:01.91\00:18:06.61 have these needs? 00:18:06.65\00:18:07.98 The people who took over the orphanage, there were children 00:18:08.02\00:18:10.29 that it was not registered and they would find out that they're 00:18:10.32\00:18:17.99 quickly affirmed to be accepted to the community orphanage you 00:18:18.03\00:18:21.26 have to have either a father or a mother that was dead. 00:18:21.30\00:18:27.34 So they go through the people and qualify who can be a part 00:18:27.37\00:18:30.01 of the orphanage and who can't. 00:18:30.04\00:18:31.37 The Wesley is a story that needs to be told. Wesley 00:18:31.41\00:18:38.28 who was six months old like Cliff said, his father died, and 00:18:38.31\00:18:41.92 his Mom died on their way to Haiti from the Dominican 00:18:41.95\00:18:47.46 Republic. And there was a car accident and the mother was 00:18:47.49\00:18:53.50 pregnant and the mother lost, they were twins. The sister died 00:18:53.53\00:18:59.87 after four hours that the mother passed. The baby came in Wesley 00:18:59.90\00:19:05.64 and he was alive. So we have had him since he was six months old 00:19:05.67\00:19:11.81 till now he's six years old. 00:19:11.85\00:19:13.52 Now before we go any further in some of the amazing stories 00:19:13.55\00:19:16.32 that are connected to the Hope Ministries and HOPE means 00:19:16.35\00:19:20.86 Helping Oppressed People Everywhere. It's not just a word 00:19:20.89\00:19:24.66 but it's an acronym. And we have a short video, well under five 00:19:24.69\00:19:28.80 minutes that we want to allow you to see right now which kind 00:19:28.83\00:19:31.37 of gives a summary of where the ministry was and what they did 00:19:31.40\00:19:35.74 when they went to Haiti and where it is today. After the 00:19:35.77\00:19:38.64 video we'll be right back. 00:19:38.67\00:19:40.21 We took on the orphanage because it was closed. There were 00:19:53.72\00:19:58.59 children on the compound and they were not being cared for. 00:19:58.63\00:20:02.30 So in 2018, we went to Haiti and we saw the deplorable conditions 00:20:02.33\00:20:10.47 that the children were living in and we knew we had to do 00:20:10.51\00:20:14.64 something. 00:20:14.68\00:20:16.01 I experienced poverty of my own life but what I've experienced 00:20:16.04\00:20:20.12 has nothing...it's not even close, not even close. It was 00:20:20.15\00:20:26.45 below poverty level. You can't I mean use the word poverty. 00:20:26.49\00:20:28.99 It was like they had nothing. And you didn't see anything or 00:20:29.02\00:20:34.53 any way for anything to come. They were like no light at the 00:20:34.56\00:20:39.27 end of the tunnel. But you now you were in a tunnel. At that 00:20:39.30\00:20:45.01 point of time like a tunnel of life that just stood still and 00:20:45.04\00:20:51.11 You have no words because you've never seen anything like it 00:20:51.15\00:20:55.85 before. 00:20:55.88\00:20:59.92 When we first arrived at the orphanage I was blown away by 00:20:59.95\00:21:05.13 the reception. They were singing a song like Welcome, welcome 00:21:05.16\00:21:10.13 They were just happy to see us there because I believe they saw 00:21:10.17\00:21:16.97 hope. 00:21:17.01\00:21:20.01 Since our arrival, we've done a lot. They have running water, 00:21:20.04\00:21:24.41 they have plumbing, they have electricity through a solar 00:21:24.45\00:21:28.58 panel. They are being educated. We have three children who are 00:21:28.62\00:21:34.26 now in the Dominican Republic and we are supporting them 00:21:34.29\00:21:39.09 through the donations. Widlin, she is in medical school. We 00:21:39.13\00:21:45.53 have Georgie who is learning computer science. Jeffrey who is 00:21:45.57\00:21:49.80 learning braille and he is learning to play the piano. 00:21:49.84\00:21:53.84 And so they are certainly being cared for. 00:21:53.88\00:21:57.71 ¤ ¤ 00:21:57.75\00:22:02.88 Due to the political turmoil in Haiti schools are closed. The 00:22:02.92\00:22:07.92 country's on lockdown. The cost of food has tripled. The 00:22:07.96\00:22:13.53 security of the workers and the children are being threatened. 00:22:13.56\00:22:18.33 As a result, we have had to ensure that the children stay on 00:22:18.37\00:22:24.14 the compound and that they do not go out for fear of them 00:22:24.17\00:22:27.74 being kidnapped. We have security on the premises both 00:22:27.78\00:22:31.08 day and night. We have hired three teachers, one of whom is a 00:22:31.11\00:22:36.99 music teacher so that you know the children are still being 00:22:37.02\00:22:41.56 educated while Haiti is you know in a state of flux. 00:22:41.59\00:22:46.39 ¤ ¤ 00:22:46.43\00:22:51.97 Having an education, which is very important, because if they 00:22:52.00\00:22:55.77 don't have education how can they change their life 00:22:55.80\00:23:00.18 situation. They are learning 00:23:00.21\00:23:01.54 English, learning French, learning Spanish, 00:23:01.88\00:23:04.58 different languages that if they are able to go to another place 00:23:04.61\00:23:10.62 and thrive. 00:23:10.65\00:23:11.99 They can because they have been educated and that's 00:23:12.02\00:23:15.39 all because of the sponsors and because of the donations from 00:23:15.42\00:23:22.50 people like you that donate, and give their time give their 00:23:22.53\00:23:30.21 financial backing for someone to have a different lifestyle. And 00:23:30.24\00:23:35.98 to see that anything is possible I mean it's what they see around 00:23:36.01\00:23:41.25 their country. It doesn't shut off the possibilities of God 00:23:41.28\00:23:46.25 being in your life and impacting in such a way that when you look 00:23:46.29\00:23:52.03 back and see where you came from it's impossible or amazing to 00:23:52.06\00:23:57.00 know that you are where you are. 00:23:57.03\00:23:58.83 Those who want to support this ministry can go to 00:23:58.87\00:24:02.74 HopeHouseMiami.org 00:24:02.77\00:24:06.44 ¤ ¤ 00:24:06.47\00:24:22.99 Wow that's an amazing story and I know that when they saw this 00:24:23.02\00:24:27.46 group of 18 you said, 18 of you going to Haiti and turning that 00:24:27.50\00:24:33.64 building that was pretty much in horrible conditions. Let's 00:24:33.67\00:24:39.11 reiterate some of the things that were restored there. I'm 00:24:39.14\00:24:41.14 going to go to Cliff in just a moment. What were some of the 00:24:41.18\00:24:43.58 things you saw when you went there. We saw the video, but 00:24:43.61\00:24:46.31 just kind of takes us behind the scenes... 00:24:46.35\00:24:48.78 When we were in Haiti the children were in dire need. 00:24:48.82\00:24:54.32 There was no food. There was no sanitation. No water, no 00:24:54.36\00:24:58.29 drinking water. And it was a very big challenge to take on. 00:24:58.33\00:25:03.63 That was a very expensive challenge. But we say we have to trust the word of God. 00:25:03.67\00:25:08.64 God said we have to help the orphans, the widows, the less 00:25:08.67\00:25:16.14 fortunate. And that's Him to say we need to do something. 00:25:16.18\00:25:18.61 We need to act on it. 00:25:18.65\00:25:20.18 And we're invited to 3ABN. We say first we have to 00:25:20.22\00:25:26.86 provide for these children the very basics: water, light so 00:25:26.89\00:25:33.46 they can study, they can drink water. So we came here with the 00:25:33.50\00:25:37.17 donors from 3ABN were able to build the solar panels, 00:25:37.20\00:25:42.47 $30,000.00 to have 15 batteries and 16 solar panels... 00:25:42.50\00:25:47.74 Which are in place today so the batteries and solar panels as a 00:25:47.78\00:25:52.08 result of donations from the last time you were here. (Yes)OK 00:25:52.11\00:25:55.22 We also were able to have a garden to grow, agriculture to 00:25:55.25\00:26:00.72 with a good diet for the children. But what had 00:26:00.76\00:26:06.39 transpired, in Haiti with the turmoil right now is when the 00:26:06.43\00:26:10.33 children are done with the high school, what is the future? If we have children we 00:26:10.37\00:26:16.04 don't let them finish in high school. We push them all the way 00:26:16.07\00:26:20.04 in and the country is in lock- down (at the present time) at 00:26:20.08\00:26:23.95 the the present time. Yes you cannot go to University. So 00:26:23.98\00:26:27.62 there are more challenges for us after we did all of this then 00:26:27.65\00:26:31.82 more challenges arrive. Now the school out ages we have to send 00:26:31.85\00:26:36.76 them to the Dominican Republic to go for higher study. So now 00:26:36.79\00:26:43.80 Hope Ministry took on more challenges based upon trust 00:26:43.83\00:26:48.10 and the faith in Jesus. 00:26:48.14\00:26:50.04 So you have people on the ground over there in Haiti that are 00:26:50.07\00:26:54.64 keeping the orphanage going. 00:26:54.68\00:26:56.21 Yes. We have a director. (How many people?) We have 12 00:26:56.24\00:26:59.61 employees because we have security. We have security, two 00:26:59.65\00:27:04.89 securities in the morning, in the afternoon. We have people 00:27:04.92\00:27:09.59 that look after washing the children's clothes, to cook, and 00:27:09.62\00:27:13.66 we have one lady that her job is specifically to teach those 00:27:13.70\00:27:17.37 children how to know God. How to do devotion. 00:27:17.40\00:27:21.24 I want to ask Cliff about that because he was there too. You 00:27:21.27\00:27:24.91 commented on what you saw when you were there in Haiti. Kind of 00:27:24.94\00:27:29.98 give us your experience because you talked about how it was life 00:27:30.01\00:27:31.91 transforming. Just give us some of your background and what you 00:27:31.95\00:27:36.69 saw and what difference it made with your team going there. 00:27:36.72\00:27:39.69 Well Jesse asked me and a few others to join her and as I 00:27:39.72\00:27:45.99 mentioned it was life-changing in the sense that it was life 00:27:46.03\00:27:50.13 changing in a spiritual sense. Not only in just what we see 00:27:50.17\00:27:54.70 but in a spiritual sense. What we were able to do is get these 00:27:54.74\00:28:01.84 solar panels in and the batteries as well as fixing the 00:28:01.88\00:28:06.01 plumbing. Now keep in mind all of this that was done was due 00:28:06.05\00:28:11.99 to the fact that 3ABN stepped in to listeners like what (viewers) 00:28:12.02\00:28:16.22 like you that are out there. 00:28:16.26\00:28:18.09 The viewers came in and donated and we want to thank 00:28:18.13\00:28:24.10 Everyone that did that. That's just the beginning. But we still 00:28:24.17\00:28:27.77 have a lot of work to do. And as the Lord says whatever you do to 00:28:27.80\00:28:32.34 the least of these you do to me. And so we are asking for just a 00:28:32.37\00:28:38.65 little more donation because we need these funds to keep these 00:28:38.68\00:28:43.35 children basically alive. 00:28:43.39\00:28:44.72 And what I want to point out (go ahead) what I want to point 00:28:44.75\00:28:48.26 out to those who are watching the program, these donations are 00:28:48.29\00:28:50.86 not going to them, it's going right to the orphanage. A 00:28:50.89\00:28:55.23 hundred percent of that is going to the orphanage for the 00:28:55.26\00:28:57.77 operation, for the keeping of the staff, the needs that the 00:28:57.80\00:29:00.44 children have because you all are gainfully employed already 00:29:00.47\00:29:02.97 outside of what you do here. 00:29:03.00\00:29:05.01 How are they educated? 00:29:05.04\00:29:06.37 So we have schools but because of the turmoil, the situation in 00:29:06.41\00:29:11.71 Haiti school has been closed. Because it's not safe. What 00:29:11.75\00:29:15.58 they're doing right now if they got you, you'll be kidnapped. 00:29:15.62\00:29:18.99 And they would ask for money. So our children are forced to 00:29:19.02\00:29:24.23 stay in the compound. But we have the school curriculum so we 00:29:24.26\00:29:29.23 hire teachers to work with the children, so they don't lose the 00:29:29.26\00:29:33.57 academic and then since they are let down what they will do all 00:29:33.60\00:29:39.64 day throughout the day is shooting. They don't have any 00:29:39.67\00:29:43.51 funds for children. So we give them a music teacher because 00:29:43.55\00:29:46.88 music helps to build their self esteem. So now they start to 00:29:46.92\00:29:52.25 know how to sing and it's so amazing to see their voices. 00:29:52.29\00:29:55.52 So that brings joy and they love to sing. And then also when we 00:29:55.56\00:30:02.80 come down to this when the children in the? Dominican 00:30:02.83\00:30:08.07 Republic where Widley is. I don't know if you saw the video 00:30:08.10\00:30:12.44 a couple years ago when Widley said I don't even have books 00:30:12.47\00:30:15.51 to study. I can't even eat. I can't even go to school. 00:30:15.54\00:30:19.68 Brother and Sister, Mr. Rumakin, Now Widlin, she's in her third 00:30:19.71\00:30:26.02 year in medical school. (From the donations) From the donation 00:30:26.05\00:30:30.83 and she is a Christian leader in the Dominican? as the 00:30:30.86\00:30:35.80 treasurer at church. At the church. And if can remember... 00:30:35.83\00:30:40.40 How old is she? 00:30:40.44\00:30:41.77 She's 22. And you can remember Shetly, Shetly your blind boy 00:30:41.80\00:30:45.77 that used to play the music you know he sang with Akeem. 00:30:45.81\00:30:49.74 (Multiple voices) But now he's in the Dominican Republic also 00:30:49.78\00:30:56.35 He's learning Braille. Somebody sent him a Braille machine and 00:30:56.38\00:31:01.02 his computer. And he's going to school for the blind but we 00:31:01.06\00:31:05.49 went further. We sent him to a private school for music. So he 00:31:05.53\00:31:12.63 can specialize in his gift. So he can live on it and live 00:31:12.67\00:31:16.14 that way. That's what we do for our children, give them the best 00:31:16.17\00:31:19.57 Wow. Why don't you share the experience of the 00:31:19.61\00:31:23.61 evangelistic series that was... I don't know if it was 00:31:23.65\00:31:25.75 evangelistic but why don't you share that experience, Jesse, 00:31:25.78\00:31:30.89 how it got started. 00:31:30.92\00:31:33.99 Well Jesse I'll let you start it. Got it, okay. 00:31:34.02\00:31:36.73 Remember everything that we do is to give God glory. We are 00:31:36.76\00:31:44.00 wishing the people physically, emotionally, but the main goal 00:31:44.03\00:31:48.50 is to bring them to the kingdom of God. So the ultimate goal for 00:31:48.54\00:31:54.31 us is why we're giving them the help, they know Jesus. Because 00:31:54.34\00:31:59.58 if you know Jesus everything will come to them from out here. 00:31:59.61\00:32:03.95 We have an experience. Somebody got baptized and then the wife 00:32:03.99\00:32:11.23 of that person wanted to get baptized also. But that day for 00:32:11.26\00:32:19.20 the baptism as Cliff is going to tell you and we went to the bus. 00:32:19.23\00:32:25.01 But I'm going to show you the power of God. When God says I 00:32:25.04\00:32:29.54 got this, I got this. Because I went to Cliff, Cliff wasn't on 00:32:29.58\00:32:34.72 the bus so we were ready to leave to get that baptism done. 00:32:34.75\00:32:39.75 He was not in the bus. He stayed behind to have his breakfast. 00:32:39.79\00:32:43.19 And when I got on the bus I said where is Cliff too. And they 00:32:43.22\00:32:46.59 told me no he's staying behind. I said, no, no, no. I said to 00:32:46.63\00:32:51.63 the driver you wait. I'm going to get Cliff too So I went back 00:32:51.67\00:32:54.94 into the hotel and I saw Cliff. I said, Cliff you need to go 00:32:54.97\00:32:58.51 with us. And Cliff said Ah you just came and tell me to go, I 00:32:58.54\00:33:02.01 must go. Was this Sabbath? 00:33:02.04\00:33:04.08 It was a Sunday morning, it was Sunday morning. And we got over 00:33:04.11\00:33:09.05 there. We were supposed to have a baptism and the elder of the 00:33:09.08\00:33:13.89 Church, Elder Deacon, is the elder, first deacon. He came to 00:33:13.92\00:33:18.16 us and said I cannot baptize a person because you know the 00:33:18.19\00:33:24.00 pastor said we cannot do that. She's not ready. And I said let 00:33:24.03\00:33:26.74 me tell you something. You can go, take your bike, and flee. 00:33:26.77\00:33:31.97 Hope Ministry got this. Don't let them even see you there, 00:33:32.01\00:33:37.11 Hope Ministry got this. So, that's the reason Cliff was 00:33:37.15\00:33:46.32 there, that we Jesse wanted to bring it over to your house. I 00:33:46.35\00:33:50.06 want to just be kind of careful. So the elders they're not 00:33:50.09\00:33:53.36 wanting to baptize her. They tried to find reasons not to and you say Hope Ministry 00:33:53.40\00:33:58.63 has this. Just take your bike and flee. Okay. 00:33:58.67\00:34:01.80 Let me chime in a little bit on this. Let me add a little 00:34:01.84\00:34:06.91 clarity. Now the reason why I was a little reluctant to go 00:34:06.94\00:34:13.35 Sunday morning is because the Sabbath afternoon we were there 00:34:13.38\00:34:19.49 baptizing not only the kids but that particular person was 00:34:19.52\00:34:25.76 there who was an adult and I was filming it and so but and I 00:34:25.79\00:34:31.53 didn't that, I was filming it on my phone, I didn't notice this 00:34:31.57\00:34:35.37 until later on that day I opened my phone back up and I 00:34:35.40\00:34:41.14 was looking and I saw the video of him being baptized and he was 00:34:41.18\00:34:45.11 giving praises to the Lord. But in the background, I saw his 00:34:45.15\00:34:52.32 wife running, she ran. And I said wow that's strange because 00:34:52.35\00:34:59.96 if you're giving your life to the Lord this is something this 00:35:00.00\00:35:04.30 is a celebration, you know we celebrate. 00:35:04.33\00:35:05.70 Were you on the beach, was this on the beach? 00:35:05.73\00:35:07.07 Yeah, this was on the beach. And so when Jesse came to me and 00:35:07.10\00:35:12.34 says this person's wife wanted to be baptized I said Jesse I 00:35:12.37\00:35:17.98 don't think she wants to be baptized. Now think about this. 00:35:18.01\00:35:20.45 See Jesse didn't know what I knew because when she witnessed 00:35:20.48\00:35:27.62 her husband being baptized she ran off. And I thought that was 00:35:27.66\00:35:34.16 strange. Now fast forward to the next day Jesse was looking for 00:35:34.20\00:35:38.90 me and I was eating breakfast and she comes to me and says 00:35:38.93\00:35:42.94 Cliff where are you and she said I need you. And I said Okay well 00:35:42.97\00:35:48.31 if you call me I'll come. So I went with her. We went back to 00:35:48.34\00:35:54.65 the orphanage actually to pick her up and I noticed she was 00:35:54.68\00:35:58.55 taking a little time. What I didn't know was...there were two 00:35:58.59\00:36:05.79 vans. Now we were in one van waiting. The people in the 00:36:05.83\00:36:10.57 second van were praying for her. I didn't know all what was going 00:36:10.60\00:36:16.94 on. Yes. Now let's keep in mind Jesse is also understanding 00:36:16.97\00:36:22.08 another thing. Jesse was conver- sing with that elder. I saw them 00:36:22.11\00:36:27.62 talking. I don't understand Creole so I didn't know what was 00:36:27.65\00:36:32.29 being said. But I knew something was going on. Because he did 00:36:32.32\00:36:36.62 take his bike and flee. He took his bike and fled. So whatever 00:36:36.66\00:36:44.30 said he was gone. But the point here is I didn't think she was 00:36:44.33\00:36:49.30 ready. Now for some reason, prayer, prayer works because 00:36:49.34\00:36:54.98 she came down, she came with us. We took her to the beach to 00:36:55.01\00:36:59.88 baptize her. Now before we did that Elder Akeem, by the way, 00:36:59.91\00:37:05.92 we were all put in the middle and we put our hands on her and 00:37:05.95\00:37:10.13 we prayed for her and in the middle of that prayer I heard a 00:37:10.16\00:37:17.37 growling, a growling noise. So I opened my eyes. I looked at her 00:37:17.40\00:37:23.14 and her eyes rolled back into her head and she collapsed and 00:37:23.17\00:37:28.74 so I grabbed her and Elder Akeem grabbed her before she hit...it 00:37:28.78\00:37:34.95 was cement pavement where we were. So we grabbed and held her 00:37:34.98\00:37:38.39 And so I was wondering what's going on here and this other 00:37:38.42\00:37:45.33 sister, I forgot her name, but she started praying and said 00:37:45.36\00:37:49.70 Satan leave this woman. Get out of her. Leave her now. That's 00:37:49.73\00:37:56.91 when it became very real because I was holding her head and I 00:37:56.94\00:38:02.04 looked and her eyes were rolled back into her head and so I 00:38:02.08\00:38:07.42 started praying and so we all started praying because we knew 00:38:07.45\00:38:12.89 something was happening here. 00:38:12.92\00:38:14.66 Spiritual encounter. (Yes) Deep. 00:38:14.69\00:38:16.52 It was very deep. And so this is something that a lot of us when 00:38:16.56\00:38:20.76 you go on a mission trip in may or may not experience. I know I 00:38:20.80\00:38:25.10 never experienced it. But it was something that brought reality 00:38:25.13\00:38:29.00 home because now we know, we know, that the forces of evil 00:38:29.04\00:38:33.84 are at work. (But also) 00:38:33.88\00:38:35.34 No, we got to find out what happened to her. 00:38:35.38\00:38:38.68 But also there were people that were looking. Security was there 00:38:38.71\00:38:44.22 watching that because it was the way it is. And then now we 00:38:44.25\00:38:50.26 say don't worry. When she gets to the water, to the beach, to 00:38:50.29\00:38:51.73 get baptized, she won't be able to get up. And this is the way 00:38:51.76\00:38:56.50 I'm telling you the power of God He already had Cliff on his mind 00:38:56.53\00:39:02.07 to do the job. Because Cliff and Elder Akeem were the ones 00:39:02.10\00:39:06.74 who went into the water with her to get her baptized. And after 00:39:06.78\00:39:11.31 she went into the water she came back up she was a 00:39:11.35\00:39:14.68 totally changed person. Her face had the glory of God. And 00:39:14.72\00:39:19.89 further down the road, she had a daughter and I am the Godmother 00:39:19.92\00:39:25.99 for her daughter. She presented her daughter to God's temple. 00:39:26.03\00:39:29.53 I went to Haiti on that one day Wesley and the daughter were 00:39:29.56\00:39:35.44 presented to the Lord. It's amazing... 00:39:35.47\00:39:40.38 You mean she was dedicated to the Lord? 00:39:40.41\00:39:42.54 Yeah the child, (the baby) the baby because she either will go 00:39:42.58\00:39:46.11 to the next person to the Voodoo to dedicate but now she was 00:39:46.15\00:39:52.29 dedicated to the Lord. 00:39:52.32\00:39:54.19 Amen. After giving her life to the Lord she now declared her 00:39:54.22\00:39:58.19 allegiance to a different God (to a different God) by giving 00:39:58.23\00:39:59.79 her daughter. Okay, I get it. 00:39:59.83\00:40:01.16 So that case showed me, that the whole experience transformed the 00:40:01.20\00:40:08.47 lives of a group. And you know sometimes Pastor when you're 00:40:08.50\00:40:14.18 going to do some kind of mission God knows when it's to be there. 00:40:14.21\00:40:16.14 You have to share to see fit with you and during that process 00:40:16.18\00:40:21.68 Haiti was in trouble and other people out of the group didn't 00:40:21.72\00:40:25.42 want to go. And I spoke to the Lord. I said, God if it's your 00:40:25.45\00:40:27.82 will I have to dedicate the orphanage, I have to do baptism, 00:40:27.86\00:40:31.69 I said God it cannot be wrong. We're seeking souls for you, we 00:40:31.73\00:40:34.96 need to go. Give me a sign that we can go. And God showed me 00:40:35.00\00:40:39.03 that it was okay for us to go to Haiti. But a lot of peoples 00:40:39.07\00:40:41.77 here. I'm going. I said even if I have to baptize them I will go 00:40:41.80\00:40:46.07 to Haiti. So there was a people the group of people that was 00:40:46.11\00:40:50.25 there that God wanted to be there. Choose to be there. 00:40:50.28\00:40:53.58 Don't ever follow people. Follow God, in his lead. 00:40:53.62\00:41:00.39 That's right. And Cliff wanted to add something in here. 00:41:00.42\00:41:02.66 Just had one caveat we found out later because we still 00:41:02.69\00:41:08.40 didn't know; this young lady the matriarch of her family was a 00:41:08.43\00:41:15.44 Voodoo priestess. So this tells you what was going on. This is 00:41:15.47\00:41:20.94 a little background that we didn't know. Now this is 00:41:20.98\00:41:23.61 probably the reason why the deacon took off, okay. But you 00:41:23.65\00:41:29.15 see you still realize we serve a God that just the mention of his 00:41:29.18\00:41:33.02 name Satan will flee. We have no reason to fear Satan because we 00:41:33.05\00:41:39.19 believe in Jesus Christ. 00:41:39.23\00:41:40.56 Greater is he that is in us. 00:41:40.60\00:41:42.83 And also when you do this kind of spiritual warfare the devil 00:41:42.86\00:41:47.04 expose you if you're not walking with the Lord and 00:41:47.07\00:41:50.97 your team is under 00:41:51.01\00:41:52.54 attack too. So when I saw that I had to protect my team, my 00:41:52.57\00:41:57.88 people and I call on the blood of Jesus and I make a circle 00:41:57.91\00:42:02.15 like the Wall of Jericho because I was the leader and I took them 00:42:02.18\00:42:07.16 to Haiti so when those spirits come out he has to go somewhere 00:42:07.19\00:42:10.86 else but not my people. 00:42:10.89\00:42:12.23 That's a very good point. 00:42:12.26\00:42:14.20 Not my people, so I pray I made a circle. I said the blood of 00:42:14.23\00:42:18.70 Jesus the Devil bow before you. And none of our people were 00:42:18.73\00:42:25.04 affected and there was a man who had_ the baptism but is not 00:42:25.07\00:42:30.75 like we say ma'am you have the victory. Stop calling on the 00:42:30.78\00:42:36.85 name of Jesus. Because you know what the spirit was moving his 00:42:36.89\00:42:40.19 way. So he said you won, good one you didn't win, the glory is 00:42:40.22\00:42:46.13 for God, God won. 00:42:46.16\00:42:47.50 Right and before we go any further, I want to bring in 00:42:47.53\00:42:51.70 Steve because is a recent addition to this ministry, to 00:42:51.73\00:42:56.34 Hope Ministry, Steve shared with us how you came aboard and in 00:42:56.37\00:43:01.08 what capacity. Well for me you know I watch Jesse and Cliff and 00:43:01.11\00:43:07.88 Akeem and just everything that they were all doing and it was 00:43:07.92\00:43:11.85 just so inspiring to see what was going on and to hear what 00:43:11.89\00:43:16.22 was happening. And it started for me in 2016 when there was an 00:43:16.26\00:43:23.57 international volleyball tournament in Ft. Lauderdale. 00:43:23.60\00:43:27.80 And I was officiating at this event and there was a team from 00:43:27.84\00:43:32.07 Haiti was being represented was their women's junior national 00:43:32.11\00:43:36.34 team. And I noticed that the first meal the young ladies on 00:43:36.38\00:43:44.29 the team barely took any food and I thought that was kind 00:43:44.32\00:43:49.52 of strange because here they are and they've got you know this 00:43:49.56\00:43:51.46 big spread of food and they're barely taking any. And I found 00:43:51.49\00:43:56.40 out that's it's because they all felt guilty about taking the 00:43:56.43\00:44:01.74 food when they had everybody at home, all their family members 00:44:01.77\00:44:05.07 at home who didn't have anything And they're eating these big 00:44:05.11\00:44:10.05 meals. They couldn't do it. And so that really brought me 00:44:10.08\00:44:14.02 you know closer to what Jesse was doing because I could see 00:44:14.05\00:44:20.52 first hand now what really was going on in Haiti and the help 00:44:20.56\00:44:25.09 that's needed. So I just got with Jesse and it's like 00:44:25.13\00:44:30.50 whatever you need you know I'll help out with whatever needs to 00:44:30.53\00:44:33.34 be done. You don't have to be on the ground in Haiti to help. 00:44:33.37\00:44:38.01 There's different ways of helping. You can help with your 00:44:38.04\00:44:40.28 donations. You can help by just doing things at home. You know 00:44:40.31\00:44:44.35 for me, it was printed shirts you know that she sold, T-shirts 00:44:44.38\00:44:49.38 that she was selling at the concerts for the Hope Ministry. 00:44:49.42\00:44:52.95 Advice on fundraising for fundraising events. You know 00:44:52.99\00:44:59.49 whatever capacity Jesse needs help she knows that I'm there 00:44:59.53\00:45:04.83 and it's even at the concerts it's seating people at the 00:45:04.87\00:45:09.07 concerts or you know passing the donation plate. Whatever is 00:45:09.10\00:45:12.71 needed. You know I'm here to serve God and give him all the 00:45:12.74\00:45:18.31 glory and that's how it is. 00:45:18.35\00:45:23.25 Now Jesse what are some of the needs that this ministry has? 00:45:23.28\00:45:27.49 As you can see, when we started there was either food (two 00:45:27.52\00:45:34.30 voices) light. Okay but even here now the challenges are 00:45:34.33\00:45:39.07 greater because what those children were afraid of when we 00:45:39.10\00:45:45.07 got there from the get-go, the children they were afraid of 00:45:45.11\00:45:49.04 when we got there, they say everybody they come here and 00:45:49.08\00:45:51.91 they say they want to help us and they turn their back on us I 00:45:51.95\00:45:56.89 made up my mind at any cost by the grace of the Lord these 00:45:56.92\00:46:01.92 children that we have now we never turn our back on them. 00:46:01.96\00:46:05.33 All right. Praise God. 00:46:05.36\00:46:07.70 So now things got worse lately The food we used to buy even 00:46:07.73\00:46:13.47 still hard used to buy it would cost us now three times the 00:46:13.50\00:46:18.61 amount of money. Because before we could ship food to Haiti but 00:46:18.64\00:46:23.75 if it is on lockdown you cannot ship. 00:46:23.78\00:46:27.35 So you cannot bring, you can't send things into the country. 00:46:27.38\00:46:28.72 You have to buy... 00:46:28.75\00:46:30.09 No, we have to buy everything local in Haiti. But when you buy 00:46:30.12\00:46:32.49 in Haiti, it's triple the price. Because it's like a black market 00:46:32.52\00:46:36.39 because the people that are bringing the merchandise they 00:46:36.42\00:46:40.50 have to pay different people that the merchandise can arrive 00:46:40.53\00:46:44.73 where it's supposed to arrive. So you, the customer, have to 00:46:44.77\00:46:48.54 pay you have to pay the tariff of all these expenses. So we 00:46:48.57\00:46:54.08 cannot go Port au Prince to the capitol. We have to buy in the 00:46:54.11\00:46:57.25 countryside more than ever. It's more money. Remember we didn't 00:46:57.28\00:47:01.98 have no children in Giah Dominican Republic. Now we have 00:47:02.02\00:47:05.52 those who study. We have to pay for their room, their 00:47:05.55\00:47:09.79 apartment. We have to pay for their food in Najee 00:47:09.82\00:47:12.53 that's adding more. 00:47:12.56\00:47:14.23 Okay so let's go down this. Now not only their food which is 00:47:14.26\00:47:17.37 tripled in price because you have to buy it there but the 00:47:17.40\00:47:21.04 lodging, the clothing, the education. All these things are 00:47:21.07\00:47:26.74 now, say it again, (medical) medical, all that 00:47:26.78\00:47:31.48 All that. So now I can tell you see God's footprint in all 00:47:31.51\00:47:38.62 of that. Because not even one day our children didn't have no 00:47:38.65\00:47:43.46 food. The way we're running the orphanage you have to add a 00:47:43.49\00:47:50.07 million to our assets. We don't. But every day God showed up he 00:47:50.10\00:47:56.74 took care of his children. So I learn I say to you I thank those 00:47:56.77\00:48:02.54 donors. Remember you can never outgiving God. Malachi 3 verse 00:48:02.58\00:48:08.95 10 said you know when you give to the Lord, your house will not 00:48:08.98\00:48:12.49 be even enough to receive his blessings. (Open the windows) 00:48:12.52\00:48:16.32 Pastor Lomacang, we are called to do what we do. It's a 00:48:16.36\00:48:20.93 privilege and an honor for all of us here to serve. Jesus the 00:48:20.96\00:48:27.30 King of kings, the Lord of lords, has spoken, everything 00:48:27.34\00:48:32.74 comes into existence. I Am Who I Am came down to this earth to 00:48:32.77\00:48:38.01 meet me where I am and to presume my life to his likeness. 00:48:38.05\00:48:42.88 That's why we are called to do. We are called to do the same 00:48:42.92\00:48:47.79 thing. When you see someone that has no future, an orphan, since 00:48:47.82\00:48:52.53 five years old and was in an orphanage. Now she has an A+ 00:48:52.56\00:48:57.97 grade. She have three years of medical school. What more can 00:48:58.00\00:49:02.24 you ask for? A blind boy who is playing every Saturday in the 00:49:02.27\00:49:06.81 church where people rely on his music. What reward is that? 00:49:06.84\00:49:10.95 That's what God does through us. 00:49:10.98\00:49:13.45 He took us from there and put us where he is. 00:49:13.48\00:49:20.39 This is priceless. Our legacy is to touch people's lives. That's 00:49:20.42\00:49:26.16 true success. 00:49:26.19\00:49:28.26 Helping Oppressed People Everywhere. God is blessing this 00:49:28.30\00:49:32.47 ministry amazingly. You know we have some more time but I just 00:49:32.50\00:49:36.77 want to reiterate what we're talking about here. You know 00:49:36.81\00:49:38.74 when Jesse's talking you can see the passion. 00:49:38.77\00:49:40.44 I see it in her eyes. In her voice. 00:49:40.48\00:49:43.04 In her voice and what I like about it is that if you're 00:49:43.08\00:49:47.12 watching this program you know that Jesse doesn't believe in 00:49:47.15\00:49:50.15 obstacles. Okay if you cut off one means of support, we can't 00:49:50.19\00:49:55.76 go to the country. We have 12 people on the ground guarding 00:49:55.79\00:49:59.03 that orphanage, taking care of their daily needs. 00:49:59.06\00:50:00.80 And she's doing that for the homeless in Miami, too. 00:50:00.83\00:50:04.93 That's right. 00:50:04.97\00:50:06.30 So many obstacles. In Miami you know now you have to have a 00:50:06.33\00:50:10.97 permit to feed the homeless. And then I went not even feeding the 00:50:11.01\00:50:17.41 homeless. My call was there for Dade. You go by Dade. And I took 00:50:17.45\00:50:22.32 the youth from the foundation to go claim the street for the 00:50:22.35\00:50:24.22 homeless. And there goes the police. And they say you're not 00:50:24.25\00:50:27.92 allowed to feed and I've been doing for 20 years and 24 years. 00:50:27.96\00:50:31.89 And now I've been blocked. Give me a ticket for $250 for feeding 00:50:31.93\00:50:37.13 the homeless. So on Monday morning I stay in Miami and I 00:50:37.17\00:50:44.41 look at the people who were sleeping on the street. No one 00:50:44.44\00:50:48.24 choose to be there. And I cried because I went earlier to the 00:50:48.28\00:50:52.38 City of Miami and the guy said to me, you are working against 00:50:52.41\00:50:56.55 me because we don't want to see the homeless on the street. I 00:50:56.58\00:50:59.79 could be on the street too. And I stand for homeless people. Now 00:50:59.82\00:51:04.39 you get really into my shoes. 00:51:04.43\00:51:06.39 Okay when you step in front of me you get in my shoes. Yeah. 00:51:06.43\00:51:12.10 Every time I apply for my permit to feed the homeless because I 00:51:12.13\00:51:14.64 they do, they have a parking lot In the parking lot have to apply 00:51:14.67\00:51:18.54 and they have to approve it for you to feed. They deny me. And 00:51:18.57\00:51:23.35 wherever I went there, there was nobody serving. They said 00:51:23.38\00:51:26.95 another organization is serving. That's not true. The parking lot 00:51:26.98\00:51:31.09 is empty. And I say God really I'm going to give this to God. 00:51:31.12\00:51:36.42 (Okay) You can out forgive God. (Wow) 00:51:36.46\00:51:38.73 You know we're going to take a short break here to make sure 00:51:38.76\00:51:44.53 that you get the information that you need to be supportive 00:51:44.57\00:51:46.50 of Hope Ministries.
