We have our sister Hope Velasquez with us and she's 00:02:57.51\00:03:01.74 going to be singing the beautiful song 00:03:01.78\00:03:03.11 Wonderful, Merciful Savior. 00:03:03.14\00:03:05.61 ¤ ¤ 00:03:05.65\00:03:26.30 ¤ Wonderful, merciful Savior Precious Redeemer and Friend ¤ 00:03:26.33\00:03:34.64 ¤ Who would have thought that a Lamb could ¤ 00:03:34.68\00:03:42.85 ¤ Rescue the souls of men O you rescue the souls of men ¤ 00:03:42.88\00:04:00.77 ¤ Counselor, Comforter, Keeper Spirit we long to embrace ¤ 00:04:00.80\00:04:14.32 ¤ You are the hope when our hearts have hopelessly ¤ 00:04:14.35\00:04:22.26 ¤ lost our way, O we've hopelessly lost our way ¤ 00:04:22.29\00:04:35.44 ¤ You are the One that we praise You are the one we adore ¤ 00:04:35.47\00:04:48.92 ¤ You give us healing and grace Our hearts always hunger for ¤ 00:04:48.95\00:05:01.43 ¤ O our hearts always hunger for ¤ 00:05:01.46\00:05:13.17 ¤ Almighty, Infinite Father Faithfully loving your own ¤ 00:05:13.21\00:05:27.99 ¤ Here on our knees You find us bowing before Your throne ¤ 00:05:28.02\00:05:40.34 ¤ O we're bowing before your throne ¤ 00:05:40.37\00:05:49.18 ¤ You are the One that we praise You are the one we adore¤ 00:05:49.21\00:06:02.76 ¤ You give the healing and grace Our hearts always hunger for ¤ 00:06:02.79\00:06:19.77 ¤ O our hearts always hunger for ¤ 00:06:19.81\00:06:41.53 Amen, amen. And you know what I've got to apologize to Hope because I 00:06:48.94\00:06:52.11 just butcher her name on national television. Actually 00:06:52.14\00:06:56.01 it's not Velasquez. It's Vasquez Hope Vasquez and I made a 00:06:56.04\00:07:00.32 mistake because I had written it down wrong. So I just wanted to 00:07:00.35\00:07:03.32 clarify that. Thank you so much Hope Vasquez for bringing us 00:07:03.35\00:07:06.15 that beautiful, beautiful song. Gentlemen, Welcome. 00:07:06.19\00:07:12.66 We have Tanner Maasdorp and we have Kani Washington. Nice 00:07:12.69\00:07:20.17 names, great ministry. You're on fire for the Lord, young guys 00:07:20.20\00:07:25.51 and let's go ahead. I'm going to start with you, Tanner. Let's 00:07:25.54\00:07:27.84 just tell a little bit about yourself. Let us know who is 00:07:27.88\00:07:30.48 Tanner, where you're from, a little bit about your background 00:07:30.51\00:07:33.55 all that good stuff. 00:07:33.58\00:07:35.28 Sounds good. I'm Tanner Maasdorp I'm excited to be here. Thankful 00:07:35.32\00:07:39.12 for this opportunity to share how God has worked in my life. 00:07:39.15\00:07:41.62 I was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area to two 00:07:41.66\00:07:45.76 amazing Christian 00:07:45.79\00:07:47.13 parents. So I've been in the church my whole life. You know 00:07:47.16\00:07:51.47 I don't have that testimony of I wandered away from the church 00:07:51.50\00:07:54.24 and had this crazy experience but I have a testimony of two 00:07:54.27\00:07:58.94 amazing parents who tried to keep me on track. So I've always 00:07:58.97\00:08:01.78 love God, grew up in the church but you know most people in high 00:08:01.81\00:08:06.38 school probably would say I got distracted. For me my 00:08:06.41\00:08:09.92 distractions were things like sports. Just wanted to be the 00:08:09.95\00:08:12.42 best basketball player I could possibly be. That was my 00:08:12.45\00:08:14.82 distraction. And that was what took up my time. I loved God but 00:08:14.86\00:08:18.89 didn't take time in personal study, didn't take time to 00:08:18.93\00:08:22.13 actually, walk with Him and somewhere along the way in high 00:08:22.16\00:08:25.83 school I just really had that encounter where I really, really 00:08:25.87\00:08:28.07 fell in love with my Savior who I thought I'd been walking with 00:08:28.10\00:08:31.44 all the time but truly, truly fell in love with Him. So that's 00:08:31.47\00:08:36.68 kind of where things started happening in my life. 00:08:36.71\00:08:38.41 Amen, amen. I can so relate to that testimony. While it's not 00:08:38.45\00:08:42.62 the same, you and I share a love for basketball I love basketball 00:08:42.65\00:08:45.65 played it growing up. It was my life at one point. And I also 00:08:45.69\00:08:50.69 didn't have this incredible story where I left, became a 00:08:50.73\00:08:54.80 prodigal and gave up on God and all that. While I thought I knew 00:08:54.83\00:08:58.57 Christ, I really didn't. So I can totally relate to that 00:08:58.60\00:09:00.00 kind of testimony. Well it's a blessing to have you here 00:09:00.04\00:09:02.37 brother. It's you guys' first time here at 3ABN? And hopefully 00:09:02.40\00:09:06.14 it's not the last time. So lets' go to Kani, Kani 00:09:06.17\00:09:08.14 tell us a little bit about your background, where you're from, 00:09:08.18\00:09:10.88 your upbringing, a little bit about your story. 00:09:10.91\00:09:12.25 Okay so I was born in Connecticut, the state of 00:09:12.28\00:09:15.95 Connecticut. I moved down to Florida when I was about like 00:09:15.98\00:09:18.25 nine months to a year old so I've lived in Florida my whole 00:09:18.29\00:09:21.29 life. I wasn't born into the church but I came into the 00:09:21.32\00:09:24.69 church at a very young age and I thank God every single day for 00:09:24.73\00:09:28.90 that because you know being younger I was a lot more 00:09:28.93\00:09:31.57 receptive to like understanding who God is. And um yeah that 00:09:31.60\00:09:35.70 just happened because me and my friend named Geo, we would just 00:09:35.74\00:09:40.08 go outside and play, you know do what little kids do, you know 00:09:40.11\00:09:43.08 just play in the playground and stuff. And we just kind of had 00:09:43.11\00:09:45.61 like conversations. You know we were like young, about like 00:09:45.65\00:09:48.95 seven, eight years old. So he was telling me that he goes to 00:09:48.98\00:09:51.92 church but it was on Saturday. And I remember me being a little 00:09:51.95\00:09:55.39 kid I was very inquisitive. I was like Saturday? Wait, what do 00:09:55.42\00:09:58.59 you mean Saturday? I thought that the seventh day of the week 00:09:58.63\00:10:01.86 was Sunday but yet he told me that it was Saturday and that 00:10:01.90\00:10:05.17 still sticks to me to this day. But he invited me to church and 00:10:05.20\00:10:08.14 you know me being a little kid and very inquisitive I went and 00:10:08.17\00:10:11.47 then it was history from there. I started going more frequently 00:10:11.51\00:10:13.68 and I eventually brought my mom with me. And you know his family 00:10:13.71\00:10:17.65 really did take me under their wing and I remember we were just 00:10:17.68\00:10:20.58 sitting in his house and he would be giving us like Bible 00:10:20.62\00:10:22.98 studies and stuff like that. And I praise God for that every 00:10:23.02\00:10:26.45 single day. But um yeah it's been history from there. Me and 00:10:26.49\00:10:29.06 my mom got baptized on the same day. You know I echo what Tanner 00:10:29.09\00:10:33.43 said, You know I...my relationship with God didn't 00:10:33.46\00:10:38.23 really start taking off till a couple years ago. I thought I 00:10:38.27\00:10:40.67 was walking with God you know like for years and years and 00:10:40.70\00:10:42.47 years, but I didn't really start to fall in love with my Savior 00:10:42.50\00:10:46.27 until you know like recently whenever I really started to 00:10:46.31\00:10:49.04 take my walk with God seriously But that's just a little bit 00:10:49.08\00:10:52.75 Absolutely Amen, praise the Lord You guys are young. I normally 00:10:52.78\00:10:56.45 don't ask you this but I feel like it won't be offensive to 00:10:56.48\00:10:58.92 ask your age. How old are you? 00:10:58.95\00:11:00.46 I'm 23. (23). 00:11:00.49\00:11:01.96 I'm 19. 00:11:01.99\00:11:03.46 Nineteen, wow man! Praise the Lord. You know I remember I 00:11:03.49\00:11:06.86 started preaching, my very first sermon was at 17 years old. I 00:11:06.90\00:11:09.73 can kind of relate to you guys. The youth and the fireman. And 00:11:09.76\00:11:14.94 like we need more young people on fire for the Lord. And so to 00:11:14.97\00:11:16.84 see you guys here today talking about your ministry and talking 00:11:16.87\00:11:20.74 about what God is doing through you guys and through your 00:11:20.78\00:11:22.81 ministry to bless others. It's a blessing to have some young 00:11:22.84\00:11:26.01 blood that's on fire for Jesus. So praise the Lord for that. 00:11:26.05\00:11:29.18 Well, let's talk about GoThere4. I love this. So first of all let 00:11:29.22\00:11:33.72 me back up here. I'm going to go to the Bible. Let's just kick it 00:11:33.76\00:11:36.26 off right now because your ministry, the name of your 00:11:36.29\00:11:38.16 ministry GoThere4 comes from the great commission given to us 00:11:38.19\00:11:41.46 by Jesus Christ there in Matthew Chapter 28 and I want to read 00:11:41.50\00:11:44.27 that text here, Matthew chapter 28 and I'm going to begin in 00:11:44.30\00:11:47.34 verse 18. Jesus says: All authority has been given to me 00:11:47.37\00:11:50.17 in heaven and on earth, verse 19 first words, Go, therefore, 00:11:50.21\00:11:55.48 where you get your name from, your ministry name, Go, 00:11:55.51\00:11:57.88 therefore, and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in 00:11:57.91\00:12:00.85 the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit 00:12:00.88\00:12:03.79 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you 00:12:03.82\00:12:06.76 and lo I am with you always even to the end of the age. Amen. 00:12:06.79\00:12:10.43 That's the great commission and we are commanded, we are 00:12:10.46\00:12:12.73 commissioned as soldiers for the Lord's army to go out and work 00:12:12.76\00:12:18.37 for him to share the gospel and to bring others who might be 00:12:18.40\00:12:20.94 lost and who might be struggling, might be suffering to a Savior who loves 00:12:20.97\00:12:24.21 them and so tell us about GoThere4 Ministries. How did 00:12:24.24\00:12:28.24 this all come about because this is a relatively new ministry. 00:12:28.28\00:12:31.75 Tell us how you guys were inspired or the inspiration 00:12:31.78\00:12:36.62 behind the creation of GoThere4 Ministries. 00:12:36.65\00:12:38.22 Yeah absolutely. Um so basically what we do is what Matthew 28 00:12:38.25\00:12:45.43 says, Go therefore and make disciples. The goal is to not 00:12:45.46\00:12:47.66 merely go therefore and make disciples but to go therefore 00:12:47.70\00:12:50.70 and make disciples who then in turn go therefore and make more 00:12:50.73\00:12:53.30 disciples. So I guess the creation of this started kind of 00:12:53.34\00:12:58.07 back to where I was talking about that moment where I fell 00:12:58.11\00:13:00.68 in love with Jesus. Like I truly fell in love. I actually started 00:13:00.71\00:13:04.35 that relationship with Jesus which was in high school and I 00:13:04.38\00:13:07.18 just felt this you know burning desire in my heart to you know 00:13:07.22\00:13:10.92 go into ministry. I didn't know exactly what that all entailed 00:13:10.95\00:13:13.96 but I mean anybody who's had that encounter and felt that 00:13:13.99\00:13:18.06 calling you have this burning desire that just won't go away 00:13:18.09\00:13:20.13 until you actually do what God's called you to do. And so I just 00:13:20.16\00:13:25.43 kept praying about it, kept walking with God and I just felt 00:13:25.47\00:13:27.74 that there was this calling to start this ministry. And so what 00:13:27.77\00:13:31.81 I attempted to do around probably 17, 18 years old was 00:13:31.84\00:13:34.28 to start a ministry kind of like what we're doing now and I 00:13:34.31\00:13:40.32 brought a few friends alongside with me to do as well and 00:13:40.35\00:13:44.35 Cassandra, she's still part of our ministry. I definitely want 00:13:44.39\00:13:47.52 to shout her out while we're here (Shout out to Cassandra) 00:13:47.56\00:13:52.13 yes absolutely and then my other friend Sebastian we wanted to 00:13:52.16\00:13:54.90 start a ministry but you know we're young people. We didn't 00:13:54.93\00:13:56.93 know what was going on, so there was a lot of talk, almost 00:13:56.97\00:13:59.87 dreaming of what could be rather than actually putting it into 00:13:59.90\00:14:02.60 action. And so finally one year I think in 2019 I was at an ASI 00:14:02.64\00:14:10.35 convention and I just was seeing all of these ministries doing 00:14:10.38\00:14:12.61 what they were doing and I was like, Lord, you've called me to 00:14:12.65\00:14:16.18 do this. These people can do it, why can't I? So I finally a few 00:14:16.22\00:14:20.09 months after that went to my parents who also had this 00:14:20.12\00:14:23.76 feeling, a burning desire to start a ministry for a long time 00:14:23.79\00:14:26.93 and he's never done it. He said this is what I want to do and I 00:14:26.96\00:14:29.30 need your help. So thankfully I had knowledgeable parents and 00:14:29.33\00:14:32.10 they helped us start a nonprofit and in March of 2020, we 00:14:32.13\00:14:38.14 started, established, GoThere4 Ministries nonprofit. 00:14:38.17\00:14:40.08 Amen, that's amazing. And so we were talking behind the scenes 00:14:40.11\00:14:45.88 about the kind of a little joke about how you know during COVID 00:14:45.91\00:14:49.02 during the time when everyone's supposed to be quiet and they're 00:14:49.05\00:14:52.29 telling you remain at home and remain still and remain grounded 00:14:52.32\00:14:55.66 and not go out...You guys are starting a ministry entitled Go 00:14:55.69\00:14:59.69 There4, right. A little bit of irony in that but it's an 00:14:59.73\00:15:02.53 awesome mission, man. So Go There4 Ministries was 00:15:02.56\00:15:05.13 established for the sole purpose of making disciples for Christ. 00:15:05.17\00:15:08.27 Fulfilling the commission by Jesus Christ. And I love, I love 00:15:08.30\00:15:11.91 what you said there you kept repeating over and over, I just 00:15:11.94\00:15:14.54 had this on my heart, I had this on my heart. You know Lord if 00:15:14.58\00:15:17.18 they can do it why can't I do it And I love that because you know 00:15:17.21\00:15:19.98 there's a natural response that when the Holy Spirit lights your 00:15:20.02\00:15:24.15 world up okay, and this has happened to me as well. It 00:15:24.19\00:15:27.42 happens to everyone. If you fall in love with Jesus and you 00:15:27.46\00:15:30.63 really truly understand who Christ is and what he's done for 00:15:30.66\00:15:32.76 you. You cannot be quiet about it. You can't contain the 00:15:32.79\00:15:38.17 excitement and the energy within you to want to go forward and do 00:15:38.20\00:15:42.57 something about what Christ has done for you. In other words to 00:15:42.60\00:15:45.41 respond to that commission and actually, follow through with 00:15:45.44\00:15:48.81 it. And so that's exactly what you are Lord I don't want to 00:15:48.84\00:15:51.35 remain idle, I'm not going to warm a bench, I'm not going to 00:15:51.38\00:15:55.25 sit on the sidelines and cheer you on from the sidelines. I 00:15:55.28\00:15:57.69 want to be involved. I want to be a disciple and I want to go 00:15:57.72\00:16:00.29 forward and make disciples. So that's what this is all about. 00:16:00.32\00:16:02.56 Now Kani tell us how you got involved and came into the 00:16:02.59\00:16:06.86 picture because it sounds like this ministry was kind of 00:16:06.90\00:16:09.90 already put together or established and then you came 00:16:09.93\00:16:13.87 along later. Tell us how you got involved with Go There4. 00:16:13.90\00:16:16.67 It's a long awesome story so. Me and Tanner, we're the best of 00:16:16.71\00:16:22.61 friends. We're buddies. We do ministry together but we didn't 00:16:22.64\00:16:25.71 always have this relationship. So it's funny. Whenever I used 00:16:25.75\00:16:29.55 to go to my old church, I would always see him and his parents 00:16:29.58\00:16:32.55 you know coming to the church and I would say you know hi to 00:16:32.59\00:16:35.49 them. I would say hi there Tanner but we didn't really have 00:16:35.52\00:16:38.19 a relationship. But I remember that there was this basketball 00:16:38.23\00:16:42.30 league that like the church has or whatever. I forget what it's 00:16:42.33\00:16:46.43 called but Tanner actually was the coach of that league and so 00:16:46.47\00:16:50.71 he a bunch of us from the church and from another church and to 00:16:50.74\00:16:56.75 be part of a team. So we all were part of a team and Tanner 00:16:56.78\00:16:59.91 was the coach and so that's the relationship me and him had. 00:16:59.95\00:17:01.95 He was my 00:17:01.98\00:17:03.32 basketball coach and I was you know the student so to speak. 00:17:03.35\00:17:05.32 And you know this was like probably in 2019, I would say, 00:17:05.35\00:17:09.56 2018, 2019 and so that's the relationship we had and then I 00:17:09.59\00:17:14.83 remember on day Tanner called me, he called me and said that 00:17:14.86\00:17:18.73 he was starting up this ministry and they were going to start up 00:17:18.77\00:17:23.04 and have worship services on Friday, like Friday nights, and 00:17:23.07\00:17:26.88 he asked me if I wanted to be involved, if I wanted to come. 00:17:26.91\00:17:28.98 And I told him that "I'll think about it and get back to him" 00:17:29.01\00:17:32.95 Funny story, I never got back to him but... 00:17:32.98\00:17:36.12 He had intentions, good intentions, Yeah I got you. 00:17:36.15\00:17:40.36 I guess I forgot about it. But then you know like the Holy 00:17:40.39\00:17:43.63 Spirit just put in my mind just to call him back. And I called 00:17:43.66\00:17:47.36 him back, you know I guess I'll just try it out. I'll just come. 00:17:47.40\00:17:52.10 And it's been history from there but it's just an amazing 00:17:52.13\00:17:57.21 testimony this force really communicates the fact that 00:17:57.24\00:17:59.81 God will literally 00:17:59.84\00:18:01.18 use whatever's possible to like accomplish His mission and 00:18:01.21\00:18:09.25 Tanner says all the time you know he was praying for somebody 00:18:09.28\00:18:11.32 he was praying for someone a right-hand man, that's how you 00:18:11.35\00:18:16.12 say that, a right-hand man. And he tells me all the time you 00:18:16.16\00:18:19.46 know I was the answer to that prayer. So I mean God is good 00:18:19.49\00:18:21.86 and God has blessed us and He's brought us together. He used 00:18:21.90\00:18:25.53 basketball to sort of have, so that we have that trust. And 00:18:25.57\00:18:29.04 then it just grew from there so that's just kind of like how I 00:18:29.07\00:18:32.31 got involved. 00:18:32.34\00:18:34.48 Amen, amen. So a series of Bible studies ended in you getting 00:18:34.51\00:18:37.91 involved and becoming more in love with Jesus Christ and then 00:18:37.95\00:18:42.02 now you guys...do you travel? As you get invitations you 00:18:42.05\00:18:45.95 travel in the ministry as people invite you guys to come out and 00:18:45.99\00:18:49.09 you go and do discipleship training or...Talk about 00:18:49.12\00:18:52.66 specifically what does Go There4 do? If someone reaches out to 00:18:52.69\00:18:56.73 your ministry and says we want to invite you to come out what 00:18:56.77\00:19:00.67 specifically, do you guys do, what has God laid on your heart 00:19:00.70\00:19:04.14 to accomplish through this ministry? 00:19:04.17\00:19:06.27 Um yeah so essentially right now there are two parts of our 00:19:06.31\00:19:11.15 ministry I would say. We've just been starting getting to media 00:19:11.18\00:19:14.65 ministry and social media ministry and God has blessed 00:19:14.68\00:19:17.45 there, but the meat and potatoes of what we do is...You know my 00:19:17.49\00:19:23.12 Dad came into the church as a result of like the Net 97, Net 00:19:23.16\00:19:28.40 98 series so he has that passion for you know (public evangelism) 00:19:28.43\00:19:32.57 yeah, public evangelism. Good old fashioned tent campaigns and 00:19:32.60\00:19:34.37 stuff like that. And so up to this point over the past two 00:19:34.40\00:19:38.37 years we've had the privilege of going to churches and doing 00:19:38.41\00:19:39.77 evangelistic campaigns and things of that nature and you 00:19:39.81\00:19:45.31 know God blessed for sure but there's just always this part in 00:19:45.35\00:19:47.28 our hearts you know we can do a little bit more. There's 00:19:47.32\00:19:48.65 something more we can do because up to that point, we had been 00:19:48.68\00:19:53.39 going to the church and pretty much doing all of the things 00:19:53.42\00:19:56.22 rather than getting the church members involved. 00:19:56.26\00:19:58.49 Got you, yep. That seems to be kind of a classic experience 00:19:58.53\00:20:02.86 again not to be judgmental or critical but sometimes that's 00:20:02.90\00:20:05.73 kind of the idea. The churches they've got this money, they 00:20:05.77\00:20:09.20 want to do evangelism, they feel the need to do evangelism 00:20:09.24\00:20:11.41 and they'll invite the evangelist to come and 00:20:11.44\00:20:15.11 it seems like the evangelist ends up doing all the work that 00:20:15.14\00:20:17.28 the church should be involved in right? And so you guys caught 00:20:17.31\00:20:22.52 onto that and now you want to do something about it. Am I right? 00:20:22.55\00:20:25.25 Yeah really. So now what we've been doing is obviously when 00:20:25.29\00:20:29.82 when we're invited to speak, God's called us there, we'll 00:20:29.86\00:20:31.39 still do that but what we really really want to, where our 00:20:31.43\00:20:34.30 heart's really at, we do these things called partnerships now 00:20:34.33\00:20:37.17 and what we've been doing, we have two of them starting this 00:20:37.20\00:20:40.30 summer, is we want to get into the trenches, get into the nitty 00:20:40.34\00:20:43.20 gritty with the local church members. So rather than just 00:20:43.24\00:20:46.68 coming and doing evangelistic and leaving, we want to be 00:20:46.71\00:20:49.11 involved with things such as the prework, getting out in the 00:20:49.14\00:20:52.71 community and reaching out, training the church members how 00:20:52.75\00:20:55.55 to disciple people in everyday life. Even, sometimes even help 00:20:55.58\00:21:00.42 with the postwork. So like one church where we're going to 00:21:00.46\00:21:04.59 start partnering with soon we're partnering with them for 00:21:04.63\00:21:07.73 a whole year and we're going to be almost a whole year of just 00:21:07.76\00:21:10.87 going there on a monthly basis. They're a local church so we can 00:21:10.90\00:21:14.54 do this but on a monthly basis and going out in the community 00:21:14.57\00:21:18.21 doing service projects, teaching the members how to you know be 00:21:18.24\00:21:23.85 evangelistic-minded and mission minded in their everyday lives 00:21:23.88\00:21:27.52 and so we get to rather than just show up and do the 00:21:27.55\00:21:31.25 evangelistic series, we get to be in these people's lives, get 00:21:31.29\00:21:32.85 to know them. And hopefully by the end of this year have a 00:21:32.89\00:21:36.52 reaping event and reap the seed we've sowed. 00:21:36.56\00:21:38.79 I love that, I love that. So and I'm going to get to it in just a 00:21:38.83\00:21:40.96 moment I'm going to ask you about your philosophy of 00:21:41.00\00:21:43.26 evangelism or your philosophy of discipleship, but I want to 00:21:43.30\00:21:47.54 just touch on what 00:21:47.57\00:21:48.90 you just said because it's one thing to go in and you are on 00:21:48.94\00:21:52.41 fire, right, you're excited You personally want to be a 00:21:52.44\00:21:55.64 part of something but then you look around and you see others 00:21:55.68\00:21:59.01 you know they want to see the work done but seems like 00:21:59.05\00:22:02.62 sometimes oh it's a little more difficult to get them involved 00:22:02.65\00:22:05.89 and it ends up being one or two or three people in a church 00:22:05.92\00:22:08.99 doing all the work while everybody else just kind of sits 00:22:09.02\00:22:11.39 on the sidelines. But yet the idea of the great commission is 00:22:11.43\00:22:15.60 that everyone is involved. Total member involvement. And so the 00:22:15.63\00:22:19.83 idea would be to establish an evangelists training or an 00:22:19.87\00:22:24.74 evangelistic plan a discipleship plan to get everyone involved in 00:22:24.77\00:22:28.91 so that everyone can find their place or their part in the 00:22:28.94\00:22:32.55 evangelism work and in the evangelistic cycle so that 00:22:32.58\00:22:35.58 everyone is doing their part to reach someone which brings me to 00:22:35.62\00:22:39.52 my question and I want to ask you guys this just from a young 00:22:39.55\00:22:41.92 person's perspective. Because when you talk about discipleship 00:22:41.96\00:22:45.56 and when Jesus says go therefore and make disciples, so what does 00:22:45.59\00:22:51.17 that mean to you guys if somebody comes to you and says 00:22:51.20\00:22:54.80 okay we want you to come do discipleship training. We want 00:22:54.84\00:22:57.07 you to help us to understand what it means to be a true 00:22:57.11\00:23:00.61 disciple for Christ. How do you do that? What does that look 00:23:00.64\00:23:03.51 like. What is your philosophy or mentality or understanding of 00:23:03.55\00:23:08.15 what it means to make disciples for Christ? 00:23:08.18\00:23:11.22 So in 2022, we went to a conference. It was an evangelism 00:23:11.25\00:23:17.73 conference in Tennessee and one of the things that we learned, 00:23:17.76\00:23:23.73 it was me, Tanner, and our other friend who worked with us, 00:23:23.77\00:23:25.10 Rodney, one of the things that we learned about evangelism and 00:23:25.13\00:23:27.24 what evangelism is relationships. Building 00:23:27.27\00:23:31.87 relationships and with those relationships you can point to 00:23:31.91\00:23:33.78 the one true relationship that you need to have which is a 00:23:33.81\00:23:36.21 relationship with Christ. And so discipleship, I believe 00:23:36.24\00:23:39.85 discipleship is building that relationship but while 00:23:39.88\00:23:44.85 simultaneously pointing to hey you need to have a relationship 00:23:44.89\00:23:46.25 with Christ, with God. He longs to have a relationship with you. 00:23:46.29\00:23:50.83 And so that's why I believe it is our philosophy so to speak of 00:23:50.86\00:23:54.16 evangelism of discipleship is relationships, building 00:23:54.20\00:23:57.93 relationships, getting to know 00:23:57.97\00:23:59.30 each other and doing Bible studies together and learning 00:23:59.33\00:24:02.70 about Christ together and so that's what I would say. 00:24:02.74\00:24:05.64 I love that. I love that answer. And it really, really is that 00:24:05.67\00:24:09.64 and I find that that goes along with what we find in Ministry of 00:24:09.68\00:24:13.78 Healing, p. 143 where Mrs. White writes about Christ's method 00:24:13.82\00:24:17.89 alone brings true success in our evangelistic efforts. Only the 00:24:17.92\00:24:23.09 way Christ did evangelism can bring true success and some 00:24:23.12\00:24:26.83 people don't grasp that. The idea that we've had so far up 00:24:26.86\00:24:31.03 to this point in many cases for some people is that you know 00:24:31.07\00:24:34.10 what I've got the Bible and I know the message and I'm just 00:24:34.14\00:24:36.24 going to go out and give Bible studies. Well that's great and 00:24:36.27\00:24:38.97 it's needed and that's an important work. You know if you 00:24:39.01\00:24:41.81 can find someone who's interested in doing Bible 00:24:41.84\00:24:44.08 studies absolutely we need to be sharing the word. Absolutely 00:24:44.11\00:24:46.61 we need to be spending that time leading and guiding them through 00:24:46.65\00:24:50.72 a systematic study of God's word so that they can understand who 00:24:50.75\00:24:53.82 God is, His plan for their life and all of these incredible 00:24:53.86\00:24:57.66 truths, exposing the darkness and the darkest plans of the 00:24:57.69\00:25:01.06 devil while also bringing about the light of Jesus through Bible 00:25:01.10\00:25:04.30 study. But that is just one aspect of the evangelism cycle, 00:25:04.33\00:25:06.97 right. That is just the seed sowing aspect. Before you can 00:25:07.00\00:25:10.21 get to that point you have to become friends with them. You 00:25:10.24\00:25:13.88 have to be able to disciple them and a part of that discipleship 00:25:13.91\00:25:16.75 aspect is not just going in with a Bible and saying are you ready 00:25:16.78\00:25:20.32 to study? Are you going to listen to me while I teach you 00:25:20.35\00:25:21.92 all about the Bible. That's not always where you begin. You have 00:25:21.95\00:25:24.82 to build that relationship, you have to build the confidence in 00:25:24.85\00:25:28.59 you and sometimes that means going out of your way to go do 00:25:28.62\00:25:31.86 something fun with someone. It means sometimes going and 00:25:31.89\00:25:35.30 spending time with them. Hey you know what guys? You want to go 00:25:35.33\00:25:38.40 shoot some hoops, let's go shoot some hoops. You like basketball, 00:25:38.43\00:25:40.60 you like basketball. We're having a basketball game this 00:25:40.64\00:25:43.44 Saturday or Sunday or this Friday. Whatever it is you know 00:25:43.47\00:25:46.68 we're just going to get together and shoot some hoops and just 00:25:46.71\00:25:49.54 have some fun. That discipleship friendship relationship factor 00:25:49.58\00:25:54.22 must happen before you can build their trust and their 00:25:54.25\00:25:58.49 confidence to believe you or to listen you to give them a Bible 00:25:58.52\00:26:02.02 study. And so I love what you guys are doing here. That's 00:26:02.06\00:26:04.49 great. And so 00:26:04.53\00:26:05.86 these partnerships, so you get partnership...Tell us about 00:26:05.89\00:26:08.66 these partnerships, how do they happen, how does someone 00:26:08.70\00:26:10.60 partner with you and what does that entail, what does that 00:26:10.63\00:26:12.77 involve for someone to create or have a partnership with Go 00:26:12.80\00:26:16.47 There4 Ministry? 00:26:16.50\00:26:17.97 Yeah, for sure. So we tailor each partnership according to 00:26:18.01\00:26:22.71 the needs of that specific church. I would say so far when 00:26:22.74\00:26:25.81 we put these partnerships together, each partnership will 00:26:25.85\00:26:29.32 at least have three things. It would have a revival to start it 00:26:29.35\00:26:33.79 out because you know like I said I have a testimony of someone 00:26:33.82\00:26:38.09 who grew up in the church. A lot of time people have been in the 00:26:38.13\00:26:39.59 church for years or grew up in the church. Sadly the gospel can 00:26:39.63\00:26:43.90 get stale. And you know honestly the gospel is not something 00:26:43.93\00:26:48.74 we're wanting to get stale. So that's the first step I think as 00:26:48.77\00:26:51.21 we go into a church would with mainly people...they can invite 00:26:51.24\00:26:54.68 their friends and stuff but it's mainly for the purpose of 00:26:54.71\00:26:56.54 getting the church on fire again Hopefully helping them to revive 00:26:56.58\00:26:59.91 that walk with God and fall in love with Jesus all over again. 00:26:59.95\00:27:02.45 So that's the first step. The second step of our partnerships 00:27:02.48\00:27:07.39 are basically the whole in between the revival and the 00:27:07.42\00:27:11.89 revival and the reaping event where we come in. We will do 00:27:11.93\00:27:15.86 evangelism training. Not necessarily training. We always 00:27:15.90\00:27:18.13 word it that way but you know we're still young. We're not 00:27:18.17\00:27:21.07 experts. What we want to do more than anything is facilitate a 00:27:21.10\00:27:23.17 discussion, actually get people thinking, actually get their 00:27:23.20\00:27:27.41 mind going about how they can be more effective in evangelism and 00:27:27.44\00:27:33.01 the discipleship process. So if it's a local church we can come 00:27:33.05\00:27:35.45 more often throughout that time. If the church is not so local it 00:27:35.48\00:27:39.29 would be more of a go in there in person once or twice, 00:27:39.32\00:27:41.69 maybe three times 00:27:41.72\00:27:43.06 and then just walking with them from a distance. At the end, by 00:27:43.09\00:27:48.56 God's grace, a reaping event. I think I said reaping seeds that 00:27:48.60\00:27:52.87 we've sown but in reality reaping the seeds that have been 00:27:52.90\00:27:55.30 sown by every local church member getting every single 00:27:55.34\00:27:58.47 person involved and getting them out there journeying with people 00:27:58.51\00:28:01.64 I love that, I love that. It's very similar, there's a reason 00:28:01.68\00:28:04.68 why Jesus used the like horticulture, you know, planting 00:28:04.71\00:28:10.65 the nature metaphors so often in His parables in His teachings 00:28:10.69\00:28:16.49 He likened the kingdom...I think there's like three or four 00:28:16.52\00:28:19.96 nature-type parables that He tells that He likens the kingdom 00:28:20.00\00:28:22.23 of God unto you know a sower sowing some seed, you know a 00:28:22.26\00:28:26.63 vine dresser who goes away and comes back. That aspect is there 00:28:26.67\00:28:30.57 and I find that evangelism is very much like that. It's like 00:28:30.61\00:28:33.31 planting, let's say for instance a tomato plant. No one in their 00:28:33.34\00:28:38.48 entire life has ever went out to the ground and held some tomato 00:28:38.51\00:28:45.12 seeds in their hand and just throw them out there and walk 00:28:45.15\00:28:47.86 away. I mean I'm not saying that there has never been a tomato 00:28:47.89\00:28:49.96 plant that accidentally came about because of something like 00:28:49.99\00:28:53.50 that but that's not how you garden. When you get ready to 00:28:53.53\00:28:56.10 garden you're serious about growing healthy vibrant plants 00:28:56.13\00:28:59.13 that's going to produce a crop that you're going to harvest you 00:28:59.17\00:29:02.17 don't just go out there to some random plot of ground. You don't 00:29:02.20\00:29:05.21 go out there to the gravel or to especially not to a, obviously 00:29:05.24\00:29:10.28 to a pavement of some kind and just throw some seeds out there 00:29:10.31\00:29:13.38 and then walk away, Okay Lord. I mean that's not how it works. 00:29:13.42\00:29:16.75 There's a process of building up before you can reap you know to 00:29:16.79\00:29:23.89 have that great harvest and reap And so there's an intricate 00:29:23.93\00:29:26.33 process and that's what you guys are helping churches to do in 00:29:26.36\00:29:30.87 that prework preparatory process of getting to the point to where 00:29:30.90\00:29:34.77 that reaping event is worth all of the stuff that you've 00:29:34.80\00:29:37.97 been working hard to build up to that point. And so give me an 00:29:38.01\00:29:41.51 example, just...you don't have to go through everything because 00:29:41.54\00:29:43.41 I know it's an intricate process but give me an example of what 00:29:43.45\00:29:46.82 are some of the prework items that you would help a church. 00:29:46.85\00:29:49.35 Like if they come to you and say we don't have a clue about 00:29:49.38\00:29:52.49 what we're doing, we don't know what in the world we're doing? 00:29:52.52\00:29:54.42 We want to prepare for an evangelistic campaign seven 00:29:54.46\00:29:58.53 months, eight months, nine months or a year from now, how 00:29:58.56\00:30:01.83 can we best prepare for that? So what are some of the things that 00:30:01.86\00:30:04.27 you would lead and guide a church through in that prework 00:30:04.30\00:30:06.80 process? 00:30:06.84\00:30:08.17 Um yes. So um one of the things we are planning with the 00:30:08.20\00:30:12.11 partnership that's going to be a year-long, ones that we can 00:30:12.14\00:30:14.94 actually, get in the trenches with is we're going to be having 00:30:14.98\00:30:17.85 these discussions, we're going to have something like a 00:30:17.88\00:30:20.55 discussion of those training sessions once a month. One of 00:30:20.58\00:30:23.69 the cool things that I like that we're doing with that church in 00:30:23.72\00:30:26.25 particular we're actually going to go and knock on the doors in 00:30:26.29\00:30:29.36 the community. We're not going to go and say hey here's a 00:30:29.39\00:30:32.89 literature tract. We're not doing any of that. We're going 00:30:32.93\00:30:34.26 go and knock on the door and just say we're here with blah 00:30:34.30\00:30:37.03 blah, blah church, whatever church it may be. Is there any 00:30:37.07\00:30:42.74 way we can bless you today. Try to help the people. We've heard 00:30:42.77\00:30:45.67 a lot of testimonies of churches that have done these in the past 00:30:45.71\00:30:48.54 and people getting marriage counseling from the pastor just 00:30:48.58\00:30:55.35 because they helped them fix their care and stuff of that 00:30:55.38\00:30:57.39 nature. That's an easy way to build relationship. Don't come 00:30:57.42\00:31:00.36 with another agenda so to speak. Of course, we want everybody to 00:31:00.39\00:31:04.13 fall in love with Jesus but you want to come with the approach 00:31:04.16\00:31:07.53 of hey we're here to help you out. We just want to bless you. 00:31:07.56\00:31:10.60 We want to be in your life. And then from there, as you said, 00:31:10.63\00:31:14.57 build that relationship, build that friendship and journey with 00:31:14.60\00:31:16.91 people as they journey to Jesus. 00:31:16.94\00:31:18.51 That's amazing. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. And so again 00:31:18.54\00:31:22.81 building those relationships and that takes time, that takes 00:31:22.84\00:31:26.35 effort takes you and I doing our part to maybe step up out of 00:31:26.38\00:31:30.19 our comfort zone, outside of our little bubble and do something 00:31:30.22\00:31:33.49 with someone, create a relationship and be active in a 00:31:33.52\00:31:37.03 person's life in order to build up that confidence and that 00:31:37.06\00:31:41.10 trust for you to be able to deliver the message to them. 00:31:41.13\00:31:43.83 So I love that. All right. So let's talk about, you know, you 00:31:43.87\00:31:48.20 guys actually...you conduct evangelistic campaigns? 00:31:48.24\00:31:50.77 I'll let him talk a little bit about the evangelistic campaigns 00:31:50.81\00:31:55.58 we do but one of the things that I think is kind of interesting 00:31:55.61\00:31:59.11 we're kind of going into as well We do conduct evangelistic 00:31:59.15\00:32:02.82 campaigns but if there's a church that like say hey we 00:32:02.85\00:32:06.02 already have this evangelist coming but we want help with the 00:32:06.05\00:32:08.92 prework that's something we do as well. We'll come and just 00:32:08.96\00:32:11.26 get with the church, help with the prework. You know we do have 00:32:11.29\00:32:14.36 this message on our hearts and we love preaching the gospel and 00:32:14.40\00:32:17.80 doing evangelistic campaigns but at the same time, you know 00:32:17.83\00:32:20.64 whatever we can do to help that's what we want. We want to 00:32:20.67\00:32:22.70 get all hands on deck and so whether it's us doing 00:32:22.74\00:32:26.57 evangelistic campaigns which we love to do or if it's us just 00:32:26.61\00:32:29.94 coming and getting in the trenches and trying to help the 00:32:29.98\00:32:32.15 church become more mission minded we do that. 00:32:32.18\00:32:34.72 They invite you to come preach campaign, what does that consist 00:32:34.75\00:32:39.05 of, what does your campaign look like? How long is it? Is there a 00:32:39.09\00:32:43.83 special time? Is there a happy length of, a perfect length of 00:32:43.86\00:32:49.76 meetings, topic series that you preach? What does yours look 00:32:49.80\00:32:53.20 like, brother? 00:32:53.23\00:32:54.57 Yeah, so I'll just tell you one of the ones that we have done 00:32:54.60\00:32:57.67 in the past and that we are going to do very soon is a 00:32:57.71\00:33:00.48 series called God Equals Love with a question mark at the end. 00:33:00.51\00:33:02.81 And basically what it's about is I mean, it's about the fact that 00:33:02.84\00:33:07.75 you know he who does not love does not know God, for God is 00:33:07.78\00:33:11.05 love. That's what the Bible says and I believe that we believe 00:33:11.09\00:33:13.72 that but many people have questions about that. Okay if 00:33:13.76\00:33:16.62 God is love then why did this happen, why did that happen, why 00:33:16.66\00:33:19.86 like why is there so much pain? Why is there so much evil in the 00:33:19.89\00:33:23.30 world? And that's what the series is about. We're trying 00:33:23.33\00:33:27.34 to...we're not trying to explain away people's suffering but 00:33:27.37\00:33:29.60 we're trying to say that hey despite all of this, despite 00:33:29.64\00:33:34.58 though we're going through this situation, despite this, despite 00:33:34.61\00:33:37.61 that this may have happened, God did not cause it because God is 00:33:37.65\00:33:40.75 not the author of confusion because with Christ there is 00:33:40.78\00:33:45.15 unity, but there is an enemy, there is an enemy who has 00:33:45.19\00:33:49.66 thwarted God's original plan that He had for humanity and so 00:33:49.69\00:33:53.66 we are trying to look at biblical examples hey despite 00:33:53.70\00:33:56.40 all of this God is still love and God is still good. So that's 00:33:56.43\00:34:00.10 one of the series that we've done and we actually have many 00:34:00.14\00:34:02.90 more. Another series that we have which is a prophecy series 00:34:02.94\00:34:06.01 is called Eden to Eden and basically the philosophy behind 00:34:06.04\00:34:09.98 that is that the Bible begins in Eden, Genesis chapter one and 00:34:10.01\00:34:13.55 two and Revelation chapter 21 and 22 the Bible ends in Eden 00:34:13.58\00:34:17.75 and everything in between is God trying to restore that face to 00:34:17.79\00:34:21.52 face relationship. And so we begin in the Garden of Eden and 00:34:21.56\00:34:25.26 then we end in the Garden of Eden. So yeah that's just one 00:34:25.29\00:34:28.76 of the prophecy series that we talk about you know prophecy 00:34:28.80\00:34:30.73 and you know just how God has worked throughout history but 00:34:30.77\00:34:34.07 that's just two of the prophecies and then we have 00:34:34.10\00:34:37.37 another revival series called The Good Shepherd and that 00:34:37.41\00:34:41.74 one...let me tell you the way that series came about was I got 00:34:41.78\00:34:47.35 it one day. I read my Bible. This was when I was probably 00:34:47.38\00:34:50.22 like 17. So I got up. I read my Bible. I read this passage of 00:34:50.25\00:34:53.79 scripture that said, Jesus said I am the good shepherd. The good 00:34:53.82\00:34:56.09 Shepherd gives his life for the sheep. And so I was so inspired 00:34:56.12\00:34:59.33 by that I wrote a sermon about it and I preached it and 00:34:59.36\00:35:01.86 Tanner heard it and he made a follow-up sermon to that and 00:35:01.90\00:35:04.70 then that just birthed into a four day revival series. So 00:35:04.73\00:35:08.37 that's just some of the series that we've done in the past and 00:35:08.40\00:35:11.27 we're We actually have a video of you guys, the God Equals Love 00:35:11.31\00:35:18.21 with a question mark. We have a little promotional video that 00:35:18.25\00:35:19.58 kind of gives an idea of setting up for you coming and doing that 00:35:19.61\00:35:23.59 series. So let's look at that video right now. 00:35:23.62\00:35:27.69 Was it really supposed to be this way? Why would an all 00:35:27.72\00:35:31.23 powerful designer treat a world like this? There is so much pain 00:35:31.26\00:35:35.20 and suffering, natural disasters acts of evil and injustice. How 00:35:35.23\00:35:41.10 can there possibly be an all powerful and all-loving Creator? 00:35:41.14\00:35:44.54 Pain and suffering are words that we are all familiar with. 00:35:44.57\00:35:52.51 How can God possibly be love when there is so much turmoil 00:35:52.55\00:35:57.05 in the world. If God is all powerful couldn't He stop all 00:35:57.09\00:36:00.72 pain from happening. If God is all loving why wouldn't He stop 00:36:00.76\00:36:04.59 all the pain, suffering, and evil Scripture makes its claims 00:36:04.63\00:36:09.83 clear God is indeed the all-powerful Creator. Scripture 00:36:09.86\00:36:13.54 also said explicitly that God is love. Can these two claims both 00:36:13.57\00:36:18.47 be true given the state of the world in which we live? How can 00:36:18.51\00:36:23.68 we know for sure that... ¤ ¤ 00:36:23.71\00:36:37.96 Wow man that's cool! I love that So that right there I mean I 00:36:37.99\00:36:42.40 love that subject because that's really one of the heart issues 00:36:42.43\00:36:45.23 in any evangelistic campaign. If you're not addressing 00:36:45.27\00:36:48.80 there and addressing that issue. You don't really have a 00:36:48.84\00:36:52.37 foundation to build on because at the end of the day people 00:36:52.41\00:36:55.18 want to know how can I trust a God that allows all of these bad 00:36:55.21\00:36:59.31 things to happen. Or maybe they've been through some 00:36:59.35\00:37:01.22 personal things themselves, some trials and tribulations in their 00:37:01.25\00:37:04.99 life. Maybe they've lost a loved one. Maybe they have some kind 00:37:05.02\00:37:07.72 of life-threatening disease or whatever. Maybe they have a 00:37:07.76\00:37:10.83 friend or someone who's going through something and people ask 00:37:10.86\00:37:14.40 those questions. You know why if God is so loving then why does 00:37:14.43\00:37:16.30 He allows these things to go on? And I love that you guys have 00:37:16.33\00:37:19.63 series' that answers that question but prepares people's 00:37:19.67\00:37:24.57 hearts to be able to understand from a biblical perspective who 00:37:24.61\00:37:27.64 God really is. And so that's powerful. Praise the Lord for 00:37:27.68\00:37:30.08 that. Praise the Lord for that. And I love how you guys also do 00:37:30.11\00:37:32.91 revival, you said you had a four day revival seminar. Let's talk 00:37:32.95\00:37:38.39 about that for just a moment because we're talking about 00:37:38.42\00:37:41.49 Go There4. A lot of times our minds are we got to go out, we 00:37:41.52\00:37:45.06 got to find these people that don't know what we know and we 00:37:45.09\00:37:47.83 got to share with them all of these amazing truths. But of 00:37:47.86\00:37:51.20 course I find that often times churches want to do that 00:37:51.23\00:37:55.40 evangelism, their hearts in the right place in the sense that 00:37:55.44\00:37:59.24 they know that they want to take that commission seriously. They 00:37:59.27\00:38:02.11 want to hold that evangelistic campaign. They want to move 00:38:02.14\00:38:06.01 forward in reaching new souls with the gospel of Jesus and to 00:38:06.05\00:38:10.05 hear these incredible life changing truths that they know 00:38:10.09\00:38:12.99 themselves. But oftentimes we find some churches aren't ready 00:38:13.02\00:38:16.49 for that evangelism or those newcomers to come into the 00:38:16.52\00:38:20.86 church because they themselves need to be reintroduced to Jesus 00:38:20.90\00:38:23.77 So talk about that. When you're going into a church that has 00:38:23.80\00:38:27.97 reached out to you and says hey we need you to come and teach us 00:38:28.00\00:38:32.24 how to disciple others. We need you to come help us prepare for 00:38:32.27\00:38:35.54 this reaping event or this campaign or this evangelistic 00:38:35.58\00:38:38.51 series, and you see that need of revival talk to us about the 00:38:38.55\00:38:42.85 importance of that and how you go about capturing that vision 00:38:42.88\00:38:47.39 in the minds of the church members because sometimes that's 00:38:47.42\00:38:49.72 a hard pill to swallow when they have to come to grips with 00:38:49.76\00:38:54.40 understanding that you know what before you move on to do 00:38:54.43\00:38:57.67 outreach you need to do a little bit of in-reach first. Talk 00:38:57.70\00:39:00.67 about the importance of that and the significance of that. 00:39:00.70\00:39:02.94 Sure you know I mean I think I can speak on behalf of both of 00:39:02.97\00:39:07.78 us. The passion that we have is really just diving deep into the 00:39:07.81\00:39:12.05 character of God. And as you said before once you fall in 00:39:12.08\00:39:16.02 love with Jesus you just have this burning desire in your 00:39:16.05\00:39:18.42 heart that makes you want to go. And so we recognize that when we 00:39:18.45\00:39:22.29 go to these churches if that burning desire is not in their 00:39:22.32\00:39:25.29 heart well then they're not going to want to Go There4. And 00:39:25.33\00:39:28.10 so we have this four-day revival series that we start off pretty 00:39:28.13\00:39:32.17 much every partnership with even before we even talk about 00:39:32.20\00:39:37.11 evangelism, we show up. We do this revival called The Good 00:39:37.14\00:39:39.87 Shepherd and I guess we'll walk through it a little bit. The way 00:39:39.91\00:39:42.61 we look at The Good Shepherd revival is it almost takes you 00:39:42.64\00:39:45.21 through the Christian journey in four days. It starts off with 00:39:45.25\00:39:49.08 The Good Shepherd. My buddy Kani here he presents it, and that 00:39:49.12\00:39:54.56 message...why don't I...you tell them about the Good Shepherd. 00:39:54.59\00:39:56.12 Tell us about that Good Shepherd Tell us about that Good Shepherd 00:39:56.16\00:39:59.46 So what's awesome is whenever we go to the Bible and we go to 00:39:59.49\00:40:03.40 1 John chapter 4 verse 8 which says: He who does not love does 00:40:03.43\00:40:06.43 not know God for God is love. This is awesome, this is 00:40:06.47\00:40:09.60 incredible but we have to define that love. Because when we go 00:40:09.64\00:40:13.94 through the biblical definition of love: Love is not feeling or 00:40:13.98\00:40:16.14 an emotion or a man I just feel so good. It's not that. Love is 00:40:16.18\00:40:19.78 a principle and that principle says you are more important to 00:40:19.81\00:40:23.55 me than I am to myself. And when we go to the Bible version where 00:40:23.59\00:40:27.66 Jesus says I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd 00:40:27.69\00:40:29.79 does what? He gives his life for his sheep. Why does he give his 00:40:29.82\00:40:32.69 life for the sheep? Because He loves His sheep. And so that's 00:40:32.73\00:40:36.30 what the first message is about. What is the Creator of the 00:40:36.33\00:40:39.57 universe doing on an instrument of torture. Well He's just being 00:40:39.60\00:40:43.10 Himself. He's displaying who and what God is and three words best 00:40:43.14\00:40:46.64 describe who God is: God is love That's what the first message is 00:40:46.68\00:40:50.61 about. 00:40:50.65\00:40:51.98 I love that. Just before we go on the second, third and 00:40:52.01\00:40:53.58 message I got to just nail this down folks. This is so important 00:40:53.62\00:40:57.32 Many people in their Bible study efforts in trying to revive or 00:40:57.35\00:41:02.32 share the "truth" with someone they'll go to the Good Shepherd 00:41:02.36\00:41:06.70 but their message surrounding the good shepherd is they'll go 00:41:06.73\00:41:10.37 immediately to the rules, in other words, the 10 commandments 00:41:10.40\00:41:13.03 and the law. My friend again you have heard if you know my 00:41:13.07\00:41:16.54 ministry you know what we are here about at 3ABN. We know that 00:41:16.57\00:41:19.87 there is a special, special place for the message of the law 00:41:19.91\00:41:22.61 and the commandments. We believe in the commandments, we believe 00:41:22.64\00:41:24.91 in upholding the commandments but at the end of the day when 00:41:24.95\00:41:27.48 you're trying to revive someone if someone needs revival, you 00:41:27.52\00:41:31.65 need to introduce them to the good shepherd, you need to 00:41:31.69\00:41:34.49 answer that question, What is love. You need to define that 00:41:34.52\00:41:37.23 love and I love how you said it really is defined not by 00:41:37.26\00:41:41.13 emotions, not by feelings, not by necessarily what you have 00:41:41.16\00:41:44.83 done but what He has done and what He has done is given 00:41:44.87\00:41:50.61 Himself for His people. In other words, it puts the message on 00:41:50.64\00:41:52.54 the cross. My mind immediately went to Philippians chapter 2 00:41:52.57\00:41:56.51 which says here...I love these opening verses. Many people when 00:41:56.54\00:41:59.78 think of Philippians 2 think right to verse 5 which says, Let 00:41:59.81\00:42:02.45 this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, but they 00:42:02.48\00:42:04.99 don't read the verses before which really really sums this up 00:42:05.02\00:42:07.82 It says: Therefore if any is consolation in Christ, if any 00:42:07.86\00:42:12.83 comfort of love, any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection 00:42:12.86\00:42:15.86 and mercy fulfill my joy by being likeminded having the same 00:42:15.90\00:42:21.04 love, being of one accord and of one mind. Now what does that 00:42:21.07\00:42:23.41 look like? What does that love mind look like? Here it is. 00:42:23.44\00:42:24.77 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit. 00:42:24.81\00:42:29.98 But in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than 00:42:30.01\00:42:36.08 himself. And then verse 4: Let each of you look out not only 00:42:36.12\00:42:40.22 for his own interests but also for the interest of others. 00:42:40.26\00:42:42.86 It's that you know what I do love myself but I love you more 00:42:42.89\00:42:46.59 than I love myself. In other words I'm going to put myself... 00:42:46.63\00:42:48.60 I prefer you over myself. That's exactly what Jesus does and it's 00:42:48.63\00:42:53.77 exactly what the good shepherd does. I love that. So then once 00:42:53.80\00:42:55.90 you've established that point, you move on to the second 00:42:55.94\00:42:58.91 message and what is that? 00:42:58.94\00:43:00.28 Um, it is entitled Feed My Sheep. So the first message is 00:43:00.31\00:43:04.18 kind of like the first step of the Christian journey. You fall 00:43:04.21\00:43:06.35 in love with Jesus. You guys captured exactly what the 00:43:06.38\00:43:08.95 message was about. And because we see the love that Jesus has 00:43:08.98\00:43:13.32 for us we in turn fall in love with Him and that's what starts 00:43:13.36\00:43:16.12 this Christian journey. But as we go along the Christian 00:43:16.16\00:43:18.76 journey then we have this call to Go There4 and to feed my 00:43:18.79\00:43:21.26 sheep. And so that's pretty much what the second message is about 00:43:21.30\00:43:24.17 We talk about God's calling on our lives and how He calls each 00:43:24.20\00:43:28.54 and every person to be a co-laborer with Him for the 00:43:28.57\00:43:31.27 salvation of others. We're not just talking pastors, we're not 00:43:31.31\00:43:33.88 talking about the people that have the "credentials." Every 00:43:33.91\00:43:38.48 single person that has a relationship with Jesus has a 00:43:38.51\00:43:39.85 calling to feed His sheep and so we dig into how we prepare to 00:43:39.88\00:43:44.99 feed His sheep and we talk about the importance of...well we talk 00:43:45.02\00:43:50.13 about the importance of gathering bread which is reading 00:43:50.16\00:43:52.33 the Bible so that we can impart it to others. So that's 00:43:52.36\00:43:56.80 what the second message is about 00:43:56.83\00:43:58.17 Before you can go teach others how to be sanctified you 00:43:58.20\00:44:00.20 yourselves had to be sanctified. And so you have to make sure 00:44:00.24\00:44:02.87 that you are eating of the bread I think of the sanctuary, right? 00:44:02.90\00:44:06.27 You have to have that courtyard experience but then once you've 00:44:06.31\00:44:10.68 accepted Christ and are baptized now it's important that you 00:44:10.71\00:44:12.71 continue to eat of that bread daily. Continue to you know open 00:44:12.75\00:44:16.08 those lines of communication for prayer you know. The altar of 00:44:16.12\00:44:20.56 incense and then of course letting your light shine for 00:44:20.59\00:44:22.62 Jesus. So what does the third message teach us about? 00:44:22.66\00:44:25.59 The third message is entitled The Lost Sheep. We're trying to 00:44:25.63\00:44:28.70 keep the sheep theme. So what is likely to happen when you 00:44:28.73\00:44:33.54 know when a newborn first starts to walk? Like they might fall 00:44:33.57\00:44:37.71 and stumble and that's in essence what this message is 00:44:37.74\00:44:40.81 about. Because you know when you're a new Bible-believing 00:44:40.84\00:44:43.45 Christian you know, you're gathering bread, you're feeding 00:44:43.48\00:44:47.78 His sheep. But what's likely to happen when you're a new 00:44:47.82\00:44:51.05 believer. You're going to fall, you're going to stumble, you're 00:44:51.09\00:44:53.05 going to have failures and the Bible says... 00:44:53.09\00:44:54.59 You mean you're not perfect from the very beginning? 00:44:54.62\00:44:57.19 Yeah, yeah, yeah in the Bible you know Bible says in the book 00:44:57.23\00:45:02.23 of Proverbs for a righteous man falls seven times and rises 00:45:02.26\00:45:06.27 again but the wicked shall fall by calamity. And notice that the 00:45:06.30\00:45:08.64 difference between the righteous and the wicked isn't that one 00:45:08.67\00:45:11.41 falls and the other doesn't. No the Bible says the righteous man 00:45:11.44\00:45:14.54 falls seven times but the difference is that he keeps 00:45:14.58\00:45:16.75 rising again... 00:45:16.78\00:45:18.11 He gets back up. (Exactly) He's pressing forward. (Exactly) I 00:45:18.15\00:45:19.98 love that. 00:45:20.02\00:45:21.72 Because he trusts his hand to the hand of Jesus. That's what 00:45:21.75\00:45:24.09 it's all about. And so that's what that message is about 00:45:24.12\00:45:25.75 because we all like sheep have gone astray, but praise God the 00:45:25.79\00:45:28.82 second, we go astray God is in His rapid pursuit of us and 00:45:28.86\00:45:32.29 that's what this message is about. I mean what is God's 00:45:32.33\00:45:35.70 posture towards us whenever we fail, whenever we fall, whenever 00:45:35.73\00:45:38.93 we stumble. Does His posture towards us change? No, He's 00:45:38.97\00:45:42.14 still a God of love. He's still seeking out our best interest. 00:45:42.17\00:45:44.81 And that's what that third message is about. 00:45:44.84\00:45:46.74 That's it, man. Right when you were just saying that the 00:45:46.78\00:45:49.58 passage that came to my mind was Jeremiah chapter 29 and verse 11 00:45:49.61\00:45:54.62 and onward. I love this because again you're talking about what 00:45:54.65\00:45:57.12 is God's thoughts towards us. What is His belief? Often times 00:45:57.15\00:45:59.32 we have this idea that if we fall or we stumble then God is 00:45:59.35\00:46:03.36 is up there kind of like you know this angry, oh look at him, 00:46:03.39\00:46:07.00 look at her down there. Oh, man! But God loves us so much and it 00:46:07.03\00:46:11.63 reminds me of this verse here He says: For I know the thoughts 00:46:11.67\00:46:14.80 that I think toward you says the Lord...This is Jeremiah 29 00:46:14.84\00:46:17.07 verses 11 and onward. He says For I know the thoughts that I 00:46:17.11\00:46:20.04 think toward you says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of 00:46:20.08\00:46:22.78 evil...I love that...to give you a future and a hope. Then you 00:46:22.81\00:46:25.75 will call upon me and go and pray to me and I will listen to 00:46:25.78\00:46:28.45 you and you will seek me and find me when you search for me 00:46:28.48\00:46:31.55 with all your heart. And then verse 14 very beginning it says: 00:46:31.59\00:46:34.46 And I will be found by you says the Lord. I love that, I love 00:46:34.49\00:46:38.23 that. So God's not trying...it's not like He's up there with a 00:46:38.26\00:46:42.60 magnifying glass trying to wait for the next moment that we fall 00:46:42.63\00:46:45.53 so He can ahh look at this! You know this failure. God is...He's 00:46:45.57\00:46:51.57 in it to win it. He wants us to win. He wants us to be 00:46:51.61\00:46:54.18 successful. So we learn that aspect in message three and then 00:46:54.21\00:46:57.21 how do we finish up with message four? 00:46:57.25\00:46:59.95 Yeah, the last part is As the Shepherd. When Jesus came to 00:46:59.98\00:47:03.18 this earth as a baby the first time who was ready to receive 00:47:03.22\00:47:06.96 Him? The shepherds were. And so we talk about how the shepherds 00:47:06.99\00:47:10.43 were the first time prepared to receive Him, how we can be ready 00:47:10.46\00:47:14.46 for His second coming. So that's pretty much how we bring the 00:47:14.50\00:47:17.63 revival to a close we go through kind of like what the Christian 00:47:17.67\00:47:21.10 journey is like and we talk about this good shepherd and His 00:47:21.14\00:47:25.44 love for us and one of the things that he says in the 00:47:25.47\00:47:27.28 lost sheep message that love and always sticks with me is the 00:47:27.31\00:47:33.01 value of something is determined by the one who is willing to pay 00:47:33.05\00:47:36.95 the price. And so that's really what this revival is about 00:47:36.99\00:47:41.32 trying to realize that you have value and you have value because 00:47:41.36\00:47:44.93 of what Jesus did for you. Just trying to reignite that love for 00:47:44.96\00:47:49.46 Jesus. By God's grace hopefully to get them to fall so 00:47:49.50\00:47:53.00 passionately in love with Jesus that they can't help but want 00:47:53.03\00:47:55.50 to share with others. 00:47:55.54\00:47:57.21 Amen. When you learn when you finally and it clicks in your 00:47:57.24\00:48:00.04 mind and you comprehend who you are to God, that you're not just 00:48:00.08\00:48:03.81 some speck in a world of eight billion people, that you're not 00:48:03.85\00:48:08.18 just some little miniature atom or little speck in this giant 00:48:08.22\00:48:12.79 cosmos of a universe that we live in but yet you are on God's 00:48:12.82\00:48:17.36 mind even before you were born. When you capture that and 00:48:17.39\00:48:19.79 understand that it changes everything because now there's 00:48:19.83\00:48:22.66 value, so much value that the God of the universe was willing 00:48:22.70\00:48:26.90 to go give His own life and that was an eternal death, my 00:48:26.94\00:48:30.31 friends. A death that Jesus you know at one point thought he was 00:48:30.34\00:48:33.21 never coming back from. My God, my God, why have you forsaken 00:48:33.24\00:48:37.65 me? You know Jesus when He took our sin upon Himself it 00:48:37.68\00:48:41.38 spiritually discombobulated Him so much to the point that He 00:48:41.42\00:48:44.35 could not... He was experiencing the full wrath of God and He 00:48:44.39\00:48:47.26 could not perceive the presence of the Father. So that was the 00:48:47.29\00:48:51.09 price he was willing to pay, an eternal death, in order to save 00:48:51.13\00:48:56.03 you. And when you grasp that and that clicks with you then you 00:48:56.06\00:48:57.80 will not only have a love and a passion for that God but you 00:48:57.83\00:49:01.57 will also want to go do something about His kingdom, do 00:49:01.60\00:49:04.14 something about the commission and the call that he's given 00:49:04.17\00:49:06.78 you. We have some pictures that you guys have given, so let's 00:49:06.81\00:49:09.01 look at these pictures and walk us through some of these 00:49:09.04\00:49:12.68 pictures. Pop up the first one here. Tell us who is this. 00:49:12.71\00:49:16.05 Um this was the...we were at a church down in Florida and 00:49:16.08\00:49:21.39 this was after the series that we did. I believe it was the 00:49:21.42\00:49:26.36 Good Shepherd, we just talked about it and that was all the 00:49:26.39\00:49:28.43 team that was there for the photo. 00:49:28.46\00:49:29.86 Praise the Lord, praise the Lord All right then this one here? 00:49:29.90\00:49:34.80 That was at our little two-year anniversary celebration. We 00:49:34.84\00:49:40.88 had a Friday night series that brought them in. We got 00:49:40.91\00:49:43.91 together on a Friday night, worshipped with our local church 00:49:43.95\00:49:45.95 and we took a team picture. Those are all the people that 00:49:45.98\00:49:49.25 work with us and volunteers. 00:49:49.28\00:49:50.69 There you are preaching like a boss Tanner, nice. 00:49:50.72\00:49:54.29 Preached a fireman. 00:49:54.32\00:49:55.66 You look like you're into it there. That would be Tanner@GoThere4.org 00:50:25.19\00:50:30.29 and I don't think it will be on the screen but you can also do 00:50:30.33\00:50:32.59 Kani@GoThere4.org. That's an easy way to get hold of either 00:50:32.63\00:50:35.26 one of us and we can work out something. 00:50:35.30\00:50:39.23 You'll see that on the screen. Tanner@GoThere4.org. You know what, 00:51:15.30\00:51:17.14 it's great to have young people come and present the gospel. 00:51:17.17\00:51:19.07 Again we have this idea that young people they need 00:51:19.11\00:51:22.44 more experience 00:51:22.48\00:51:23.81 and while that's true for all of us you know what, young people 00:51:23.85\00:51:25.98 can reach people that you can't. And so in this case, I encourage 00:51:26.01\00:51:29.48 you to bring out GoThere4 ministry to let them bless you 00:51:29.52\00:51:32.89 in your church and your community.
