My name is John Dinzey and along 00:01:07.96\00:01:11.30 with my wife Idalia we are blessed to be a part of this 00:01:11.33\00:01:15.04 hour with you and we hope that you will join us throughout the 00:01:15.07\00:01:17.91 whole hour because it's going to be one of those times when 00:01:17.94\00:01:21.11 you will be blessed every single minute. Thank you for joining us 00:01:21.14\00:01:24.41 Amen. And I am also looking forward to this hour to spend 00:01:24.45\00:01:28.95 with our guests and our guests this time will be with us 00:01:28.98\00:01:34.02 through Skype. I praise the Lord for technology. It doesn't 00:01:34.06\00:01:36.49 matter where we're at in the world, we can connect. And you 00:01:36.52\00:01:41.46 know we're going to talk about a topic that is very, very dear 00:01:41.50\00:01:45.93 to our hearts. We're going to talk about children. We're going 00:01:45.97\00:01:48.14 talk about the needs of children and a particular ministry that 00:01:48.17\00:01:52.84 had said Lord here we are. And you have put this love in our 00:01:52.87\00:01:57.41 hearts and compassion for the little ones. But we need to work 00:01:57.45\00:02:01.58 as a community, right? We need the help of our fellow believers 00:02:01.62\00:02:06.59 and we need your prayers, we need your support. And we don't 00:02:06.62\00:02:10.73 know exactly what this ministry in particular, is doing with the 00:02:10.76\00:02:17.23 children but you and I and Johnny will discover and we'll 00:02:17.27\00:02:20.60 be blessed as we learn more of this ministry called Falco's 00:02:20.64\00:02:27.58 Children Village in Tanzania. 00:02:27.61\00:02:28.94 Yes, they are sharing God's love with children and are preparing 00:02:28.98\00:02:34.05 them for a better life on earth and a better life afterwards 00:02:34.08\00:02:38.59 because they're teaching them about Jesus. We'd like to 00:02:38.62\00:02:42.69 introduce to you the administrators that are 00:02:42.72\00:02:45.73 joining us from Tanzania. Yes. Jerry and Valerie Backus. 00:02:45.76\00:02:49.43 Welcome. 00:02:49.46\00:02:51.27 Thank you very much. We're happy to be with you today. 00:02:51.30\00:02:57.41 It's a blessing. 00:02:57.44\00:02:58.77 Thank you so much for joining us 00:02:58.81\00:03:00.51 You have a ministry of Falco's Children Village in Tanzania. 00:03:00.54\00:03:05.55 You know at times we hear of orphanages and many will say 00:03:05.58\00:03:11.42 another orphanage. Well you'll be surprised how many orphanages 00:03:11.45\00:03:15.86 exist but what a great opportunity to pull together 00:03:15.89\00:03:19.69 and learn of this ministry and what you're actually doing with 00:03:19.73\00:03:24.83 these young people. You know it's just like Jesus. He finds 00:03:24.87\00:03:28.30 us where we are but he doesn't leave us as he finds us. 00:03:28.34\00:03:36.04 That's the truth. That's true. And here at Falco's we are 00:03:36.08\00:03:39.21 promoting Jesus all the way from the beginning of their lives to 00:03:39.25\00:03:44.52 when they leave us. And we are just as blessed as they are to 00:03:44.55\00:03:47.36 do so. 00:03:47.39\00:03:48.72 Amen. Well thank you so much for joining us. We're going to be 00:03:48.76\00:03:52.56 hearing from them in a moment but we'd like to ask you at home 00:03:52.59\00:03:56.43 to join us in prayer because we believe in God that hears 00:03:56.46\00:04:02.47 prayers. So please join us wherever you are and let's 00:04:02.50\00:04:06.27 go to the Lord in prayer. 00:04:06.31\00:04:11.21 Our wonderful and loving heavenly Father. We come before 00:04:11.25\00:04:12.65 your throne of grace in Jesus' name. We thank you Lord because 00:04:12.68\00:04:17.65 today, today is another wonderful day that you give us 00:04:17.69\00:04:21.12 opportunities to learn more about you and also to share of 00:04:21.16\00:04:27.23 your love with others. We pray for your Holy Spirit to be with 00:04:27.26\00:04:30.37 us in this program. To guide us and to listen to things that 00:04:30.40\00:04:35.10 you want your children to hear. Heavenly Father, there are needs 00:04:35.14\00:04:40.41 all over the world and children have needs and we thank you 00:04:40.44\00:04:48.08 for the Backus's that are doing something to bring a better life 00:04:48.12\00:04:52.39 to children in Tanzania. We pray for this ministry. We pray 00:04:52.42\00:04:55.42 for those joining us and we ask you to consider all the requests 00:04:55.46\00:04:59.16 that have come in to 3ABN during today. You know each need, you 00:04:59.19\00:05:04.73 know each person. We ask that you will attend unto them and 00:05:04.77\00:05:08.70 bless your children that have presented your needs. We thank 00:05:08.74\00:05:12.11 you Lord for 3ABN. We ask for your blessing upon this ministry 00:05:12.14\00:05:17.15 that it will accomplish your purpose and bring the 00:05:17.18\00:05:19.11 everlasting gospel around the world. We ask you for these 00:05:19.15\00:05:23.59 things in the Holy and blessed name of Jesus, Amen. 00:05:23.62\00:05:25.99 Amen. Well we now would like the Backus's to join us also as we 00:05:26.02\00:05:35.86 read the Bible, holy scriptures in James chapter 1 and verse 27 00:05:35.90\00:05:41.70 and we're going to ask Idalia to help us with the reading of it. 00:05:41.74\00:05:44.97 Well James chapter 1 verse 27 says Pure and genuine religion 00:05:45.01\00:05:53.88 in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and 00:05:53.92\00:05:57.89 widows in their distress and refusing to let the world 00:05:57.92\00:06:03.32 corrupt you. Amen. 00:06:03.36\00:06:05.63 Wonderful, very good. This is a wonderful scripture and we (pure 00:06:05.66\00:06:11.23 religion) and we...yes (pure Christianity) We'd like to ask 00:06:11.27\00:06:14.80 Jerry and Valerie if you have anything you'd like to share 00:06:14.84\00:06:17.71 about this scripture. 00:06:17.74\00:06:19.51 You know when we talk about religion so many things come to 00:06:19.54\00:06:23.28 our minds about different faiths or different god that people may 00:06:23.31\00:06:31.12 worship whether it be Hindu or Buddha or whatever. When we talk 00:06:31.15\00:06:35.19 about religion in action it actually is just what James 1:27 00:06:35.22\00:06:41.90 says. You want to know what true religion is, it's really taking 00:06:41.93\00:06:46.80 care of others especially those who are underprivileged in this 00:06:46.84\00:06:50.91 world and that's what the combination of the love of God 00:06:50.94\00:06:55.68 is no matter where you are we can demonstrate God's love by 00:06:55.71\00:07:01.02 looking out for the needy, the homeless and the helpless. 00:07:01.05\00:07:05.15 Mm-hmm. Amen Thank you so much. This is pure and undefiled 00:07:05.19\00:07:10.33 religion and it's a wonderful testimony. It is letting your 00:07:10.36\00:07:14.46 light shine before others. They will see the good works that are 00:07:14.50\00:07:19.33 being done and they will glorify God and be drawn to God as we 00:07:19.37\00:07:25.81 see people that love the Lord sharing the love of the Lord 00:07:25.84\00:07:28.64 with other people. Especially children that are in great need 00:07:28.68\00:07:33.82 Most of the children we know are depending on older people adults 00:07:33.85\00:07:40.62 to take care of them. Unfortunately some children 00:07:40.66\00:07:42.26 don't have a mother, don't have a father and this is why this 00:07:42.29\00:07:46.36 ministry is vital. We want to invite you to tune in an listen 00:07:46.39\00:07:50.53 and hear and try to enter into the experience of the things 00:07:50.57\00:07:56.81 you're going to hear. Yes? 00:07:56.84\00:07:59.67 Well I was looking for Bible texts that may mention orphans 00:07:59.71\00:08:06.55 and the needy and it's very important in the Bible and we 00:08:06.58\00:08:11.22 see different Bible texts Valarie and Jerry about the 00:08:11.25\00:08:17.53 orphans and the widow and the needy. But in Ministries to the 00:08:17.56\00:08:20.70 Cities the book by Ellen G. White I found various paragraphs 00:08:20.73\00:08:26.97 that speak about this. This is what I found. "Then there are 00:08:27.00\00:08:32.71 the multitudes of children who have been wholly deprived of 00:08:32.74\00:08:34.54 the guidance of parents and the subduing influence of a 00:08:34.58\00:08:39.91 Christian home. Let Christians open they hearts and homes to 00:08:39.95\00:08:44.12 these helpless ones. The work that God has committed to them 00:08:44.15\00:08:48.12 as an individual duty should not be turned over to some 00:08:48.16\00:08:53.50 benevolent institution or left to the chances of the world's 00:08:53.53\00:08:57.17 charity. If the children have no relatives able to give them care 00:08:57.20\00:09:01.60 let the members of the church provide homes for them." So this 00:09:01.64\00:09:07.04 is where I gravitate towards that area. Let the church 00:09:07.08\00:09:11.91 provide homes for them. And that is what you guys are doing. 00:09:11.95\00:09:16.52 Falco's Children Village is an orphanage in Tanzania that is 00:09:16.55\00:09:22.79 providing that nurturing, that guidance that these children 00:09:22.82\00:09:28.06 need. Now what kind of children are in your ministry at Falco's 00:09:28.10\00:09:34.20 Children Village I don't know. We haven't gotten into that 00:09:34.24\00:09:38.57 topic yet but He has birthed in your hearts to dedicate your 00:09:38.61\00:09:43.65 lives to nurturing these children and under the 00:09:43.68\00:09:46.95 admonition of the Holy Spirit to learn of Jesus and offer them 00:09:46.98\00:09:51.22 the opportunity of accepting forgiveness, salvation and 00:09:51.25\00:09:57.83 eternal life in Jesus Christ. So thank you. 00:09:57.86\00:10:00.86 Amen. And that is so important for them at this young age that 00:10:00.90\00:10:06.13 we do accept them and it's warm and welcoming for them and they 00:10:06.17\00:10:09.77 gravitate to that readily. 00:10:09.80\00:10:11.37 Amen, amen. Well we're going to hear more about that. But we are 00:10:11.41\00:10:15.88 going now to hear a wonderful song. Idalia can you share with 00:10:15.91\00:10:20.55 us what the song is so that we can praise the Lord in music 00:10:20.58\00:10:26.42 as well. 00:10:26.45\00:10:27.79 Yes we give praise to God and we acknowledge His deep love for 00:10:27.82\00:10:32.89 each one of His children. At this time we're going to have 00:10:32.93\00:10:35.76 Laura Williams share How Deep the Father's Love. 00:10:35.80\00:10:40.50 ¤ ¤ 00:10:40.54\00:11:00.82 ¤ How deep the Father's Love for us ¤ 00:11:00.86\00:11:06.13 ¤ How vast beyond all measure ¤ 00:11:06.16\00:11:11.53 ¤ That He should give His only Son ¤ 00:11:11.57\00:11:16.87 To make a wretch His treasure¤ 00:11:16.91\00:11:25.08 ¤ How great the pain of searing loss ¤ 00:11:25.11\00:11:30.85 ¤ The Father turns His face away ¤ 00:11:30.89\00:11:35.02 ¤ As wounds which mar the Chosen One ¤ 00:11:35.06\00:11:43.33 ¤ Bring many sons to glory ¤ 00:11:43.37\00:11:50.27 ¤ ¤ 00:11:50.31\00:12:02.38 ¤ Behold the man upon the cross My sin upon his shoulders ¤ 00:12:02.42\00:12:14.06 ¤ Ashamed I heard my mocking voice ¤ 00:12:14.10\00:12:19.37 ¤ Call out among the scoffers ¤ 00:12:19.40\00:12:26.01 ¤ It was my sin that held Him there ¤ 00:12:26.04\00:12:29.14 ¤ Until it was accomplished ¤ 00:12:29.18\00:12:36.32 ¤ His dying breath has brought me life ¤ 00:12:36.35\00:12:40.62 ¤ I know that it is finished ¤ 00:12:40.66\00:12:49.53 ¤ ¤ 00:12:49.56\00:13:15.09 ¤ I will not boast of anything ¤ 00:13:15.12\00:13:20.23 ¤ No gifts, no power, no wisdom ¤ 00:13:20.26\00:13:25.93 ¤ But I will boast in Jesus Christ ¤ 00:13:25.97\00:13:31.57 ¤ His death and resurrection ¤ 00:13:31.61\00:13:35.04 ¤ Why should I gain from His reward ¤ 00:13:35.08\00:13:41.08 ¤ I cannot give an answer ¤ 00:13:41.12\00:13:46.39 ¤ But this I know with all my heart ¤ 00:13:46.42\00:13:51.83 ¤ His wounds have paid my ransom ¤ 00:13:51.86\00:14:01.30 ¤ ¤ 00:14:01.34\00:14:13.48 ¤ How deep the Father's love for us ¤ 00:14:13.52\00:14:36.40 ¤ ¤ 00:14:36.44\00:14:50.62 Thank you so much. That was Laura Williams. How Deep the 00:14:50.65\00:14:53.69 Father's love. And if you'd like to invite her to an event you 00:14:53.72\00:14:58.23 may contact us a 3ABN or find her on Facebook. What a 00:14:58.26\00:15:02.46 beautiful song that is. 00:15:02.50\00:15:04.27 That's right, that's right. It was talking about not boasting 00:15:04.30\00:15:06.63 in anything, in power or wisdom but it was as she shared, I will 00:15:06.67\00:15:13.74 boast in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. What a 00:15:13.78\00:15:19.78 beautiful message in the song. And it's good to reflect on that 00:15:19.81\00:15:24.85 message. The Life of Jesus Christ was one of service and we 00:15:24.89\00:15:28.82 learn from the master the master teacher. He was here on planet 00:15:28.86\00:15:34.86 earth and He was ministering to all the people's needs. There 00:15:34.90\00:15:39.13 were none He would shun away. Right. And I don't...remember 00:15:39.17\00:15:43.97 when the disciples were trying to keep the children from Jesus 00:15:44.01\00:15:47.24 (That's right) Well how did Jesus reply? 00:15:47.28\00:15:51.05 It was one of those times that Jesus had to do a little 00:15:51.08\00:15:54.45 reprimand and say, Don't forbid the children to come unto me. 00:15:54.48\00:15:58.95 Yes. Let the children come unto me basically what he was 00:15:58.99\00:16:02.02 saying to them. 00:16:02.06\00:16:03.76 That's right. So Valeria and Jerry, you're both telling the 00:16:03.79\00:16:10.37 children come, come learn of Jesus. You know I'm going to 00:16:10.40\00:16:13.44 tell you about this Jesus that knows that you're so special and 00:16:13.47\00:16:16.50 so important that He would reprimand the disciples because 00:16:16.54\00:16:21.98 you're so important it doesn't matter what we're doing if there 00:16:22.01\00:16:24.88 is that child there Jesus notices them. And you know what 00:16:24.91\00:16:29.48 many times we don't notice or simply ignore the children. 00:16:29.52\00:16:34.26 So please walk us through what your ministry is. How do you get 00:16:34.29\00:16:40.30 the children to your ministry and God bless your ministry and 00:16:40.33\00:16:43.20 God bless you for what you're doing. 00:16:43.23\00:16:48.04 Well, thank you again. We work with social welfare. So social 00:16:48.07\00:16:51.64 welfare calls us any time there's a need. And we currently 00:16:51.67\00:16:54.94 have 90 children and we have them as young as four months old 00:16:54.98\00:16:57.38 all the way up. 00:16:57.41\00:17:02.08 We have them from birth all the way up because our last 00:17:02.12\00:17:06.55 baby we received was placed at the doorstep of a stranger and 00:17:06.59\00:17:12.13 he was (skip) so we do have from birth all the way to 18, 19, 20. 00:17:12.16\00:17:19.53 But once you have these children say they're newborns you need 00:17:19.57\00:17:25.97 medical care for them to make sure they're healthy or if they 00:17:26.01\00:17:29.84 need help. Where does that help come from? How does that work? 00:17:29.88\00:17:33.18 Well once we receive a child whether they're newborns or a 00:17:33.21\00:17:40.59 little older we do have an association with one of the 00:17:40.62\00:17:44.49 clinics that are close by. It's called FAMC which is Foundation 00:17:44.53\00:17:50.23 for African Medical Center here in Karatu. We take the children 00:17:50.27\00:17:55.37 in for an initial evaluation so we can identify what the medical 00:17:55.40\00:18:00.64 needs are so that can be addressed immediately before 00:18:00.68\00:18:03.41 coming to the village. Once that has been established we 00:18:03.45\00:18:07.42 continue that relationship with the clinic for child wellness 00:18:07.45\00:18:11.69 checkups, child health care. If anyone gets sick at the village 00:18:11.72\00:18:15.92 then they are taken to the clinic again or hospital, 00:18:15.96\00:18:19.09 whatever the needs are. And we do have such a very close 00:18:19.13\00:18:22.10 relationship. We can just pick up the phone and call and speak 00:18:22.13\00:18:25.80 to a physician and bring the children or a child in. 00:18:25.83\00:18:29.74 Tell us about the location of the children's' village. Where 00:18:29.77\00:18:35.78 is it located and what the village is like? 00:18:35.81\00:18:40.35 We're about 45 minutes from the closest village, Karatu, 00:18:40.38\00:18:47.49 Tanzania and it's a pretty rough road getting there so we're out 00:18:47.52\00:18:50.06 actually in the middle of almost what you'd consider nowhere. But 00:18:50.09\00:18:54.13 we have 70 acres of land. The Lord gave us 70 acres of land 00:18:54.16\00:18:57.80 for free. We have sheep and goats, cattle, bulls and 00:18:57.83\00:19:03.97 almost everything (skips). We have our own greenhouse. We 00:19:04.01\00:19:07.78 raise vegetables here. The children help us with 00:19:07.81\00:19:13.78 everything. 00:19:13.82\00:19:15.22 Wonderful. So you grow some of your own food. This is a 00:19:15.25\00:19:18.45 wonderful thing. It seems like it's a wonderful atmosphere for 00:19:18.49\00:19:22.12 children to be in. And this is something that we all need. And 00:19:22.16\00:19:27.73 these children are having that blessing of this wonderful 00:19:27.76\00:19:32.17 atmosphere but also keep them a little busy. Huh? (Chuckles) 00:19:32.20\00:19:37.34 Yes. We don't have an idle moment because every part of a 00:19:37.37\00:19:43.51 child's upbringing is really designed to help them to become 00:19:43.55\00:19:47.18 more self-sufficient and as they get older and able to understand 00:19:47.22\00:19:53.99 the vital need to survive on their own. The cleanliness and 00:19:54.02\00:19:57.83 how to raise vegetables, how to raise livestock, even some small 00:19:57.86\00:20:02.93 vocations that will help them as they get older to go on to their 00:20:02.96\00:20:06.74 independence when they leave the village. 00:20:06.77\00:20:08.77 That's right. Well I know that you jumped to the question about 00:20:08.80\00:20:13.98 the actual campus but I wanted to ask another question about 00:20:14.01\00:20:20.75 the medical needs. How extensive are the needs of the children? 00:20:20.78\00:20:26.55 Well we have children that may be as sick as HIV-positive. We 00:20:26.59\00:20:34.90 have children that are newborns. One of our newest challenges 00:20:34.93\00:20:40.67 the baby was born prematurely at 28 weeks and unfortunately his 00:20:40.70\00:20:47.01 Mom died right after the delivery and he is now unable to 00:20:47.04\00:20:54.72 see. He's vision impaired because of retinal detachment. 00:20:54.75\00:20:58.39 We have children that may have other sometimes emotional needs 00:20:58.42\00:21:03.79 because of their background and where they're coming from. And 00:21:03.83\00:21:07.53 we do have our support of the welfare services that help us to 00:21:07.56\00:21:12.40 connect with the extended services on the outside to bring 00:21:12.43\00:21:15.17 them in so that we can make sure that every aspect of the child's 00:21:15.20\00:21:20.58 needs are met. If a child, for example because of my background 00:21:20.61\00:21:25.21 I'm a nurse practitioner for about 30 years now so when I 00:21:25.25\00:21:32.45 identify a child who has a need I will provide that emergency 00:21:32.49\00:21:36.93 first aid needed and if they need to go on to further 00:21:36.96\00:21:39.69 treatment then we can refer them But thank God so far they have 00:21:39.73\00:21:43.67 not had extensive needs but our focus right now is the young 00:21:43.70\00:21:50.24 baby that has a vision impairment and we will be 00:21:50.27\00:21:53.54 traveling at some point to find some extra medical attention for 00:21:53.58\00:21:58.11 his needs. But all in all, we have a strong connection with 00:21:58.15\00:22:05.15 the FAMC Hospital and so our babies go every month even for 00:22:05.19\00:22:08.72 just to check their weight and to make sure they're okay. 00:22:08.76\00:22:12.26 Wow! Wonderful, wonderful. Well I know that you're nurturing 00:22:12.49\00:22:16.67 these babies and how long do you keep them there. But you have a 00:22:16.70\00:22:20.94 program for all ages. So we already saw the field of the 00:22:20.97\00:22:26.51 campus of 70 acres the Lord gave you if you will be fruitful and 00:22:26.54\00:22:32.01 multiply, right? 00:22:32.08\00:22:33.62 That field... We have lots of room for them to run and play 00:22:33.68\00:22:42.46 and be normal children and physical capacity. 00:22:42.52\00:22:48.26 We have enough room... We have a portion of the land 00:22:48.30\00:22:52.23 we call Shumba and Shumba in Swahili 00:22:52.27\00:22:55.74 means farm. And so we have a farmland and a greenhouse and 00:22:55.77\00:23:00.61 the children learn (steps) how to farm. They learn how to plant 00:23:00.64\00:23:05.75 the seed and watch it grow and then how to harvest and they're 00:23:05.78\00:23:09.45 also involved in preparing the foods for the meal. They're 00:23:09.48\00:23:13.05 involved in different aspects (skips) We have lots of flowers 00:23:13.09\00:23:16.99 everywhere. That is just to represent the beauty of each 00:23:17.03\00:23:21.36 child and each flower. So we want them to have a beautiful 00:23:21.40\00:23:25.23 environment. But they're also responsible for maintaining that 00:23:25.27\00:23:29.20 environment as well. 00:23:29.24\00:23:30.61 This is wonderful because there's something special about 00:23:30.64\00:23:35.34 preparing the soil, putting the seeds in the soil and then 00:23:35.38\00:23:40.52 starting to see the first bud and then eventually you know you 00:23:40.55\00:23:44.72 get excited. You start watering because you eventually want to 00:23:44.75\00:23:47.36 see fruits and vegetables come out. So this is all very, very 00:23:47.39\00:23:52.79 interesting and exciting for children as well as adults 00:23:52.83\00:23:55.86 because I also enjoy you know doing a little gardening. But 00:23:55.90\00:23:58.83 tell us about school, education is important in a child's life 00:23:58.87\00:24:04.17 as well. How are you preparing them and where do they go to 00:24:04.21\00:24:07.81 school? 00:24:07.84\00:24:09.98 Well we built a secondary school before the village. When they 00:24:10.01\00:24:17.85 gave us the land they had started building a secondary 00:24:17.89\00:24:20.36 school on the land but they only had money to build two 00:24:20.39\00:24:22.99 classrooms. So we built the entire secondary school. So they 00:24:23.02\00:24:26.16 have eight classrooms and eight toilets for the girls, eight 00:24:26.19\00:24:29.60 toilets for the boys, administration building so all 00:24:29.63\00:24:32.80 of the children that are ready for the secondary school is 00:24:32.83\00:24:35.30 going to start attending or have started attending the secondary 00:24:35.34\00:24:38.97 school we built. The other children, the younger children, 00:24:39.01\00:24:42.11 go to a primary school and they all walk to school. It's 00:24:42.14\00:24:44.85 approximately two to two and a half miles that they walk to 00:24:44.88\00:24:48.02 school every morning. They get up around 5:30 in the morning, 00:24:48.05\00:24:52.32 have breakfast at six. They're walking to school at 6:30 every 00:24:52.35\00:24:56.46 morning. 00:24:56.49\00:24:58.06 Well, bless their little hearts. 00:24:58.09\00:24:59.43 And they walk back. So they're quite active. They walk a lot. 00:24:59.46\00:25:05.47 Bless their little hearts. Children. Well you talk about 00:25:05.50\00:25:11.77 children in the U.S. are either driven to school or the school's 00:25:11.81\00:25:14.41 very close. They don't have to walk that far. 00:25:14.44\00:25:19.35 Unclear. Glad we don't have a bus and they have to get there 00:25:19.38\00:25:23.25 on time. 00:25:23.28\00:25:24.92 That's right. That's right. Well I think that walking that mile 00:25:24.95\00:25:29.29 will surely have the children bright and awakened by the time 00:25:29.32\00:25:33.40 they get to the classroom. And they have all the other needs 00:25:33.43\00:25:37.40 so it's okay. You know I was wondering if they do attend 00:25:37.43\00:25:44.67 school two miles away and also you have the secondary class or 00:25:44.71\00:25:48.51 the school on your campus. Now I'm thinking you have 92 00:25:48.54\00:25:54.55 children or sometimes more. I don't know what your capacity 00:25:54.58\00:25:58.22 is. How do you take care of all these children. I mean, it's 00:25:58.25\00:26:01.69 only two of you but who else? 00:26:01.72\00:26:06.29 We have 37 full-time Tanzanian helpers helping us. We have 00:26:06.33\00:26:10.47 about 20 mamas. The mama's work two weeks on and two weeks off. 00:26:10.50\00:26:14.04 You know we have nine homes. Show the picture of the nine 00:26:14.07\00:26:19.34 homes. 00:26:19.37\00:26:20.91 Each one of the homes have (skips) groups and we have mamas 00:26:20.94\00:26:25.28 in each one of the different homes. We've been known as the 00:26:25.31\00:26:28.35 number one orphanage in the country in Tanzania a number 00:26:28.38\00:26:32.25 of times. We've had a number of people come because we have 00:26:32.29\00:26:36.56 family-style cities for each one of the homes, each one of the 00:26:36.59\00:26:40.83 children. So the children really feel like they're home when 00:26:40.86\00:26:42.70 they're here with us. 00:26:42.73\00:26:45.83 That is wonderful, that is wonderful. That home atmosphere 00:26:45.87\00:26:48.87 That's a wonderful thing because (security) security. A sense of 00:26:48.90\00:26:54.34 Yes, a sense of belonging (sense of family) and you have your 00:26:54.38\00:26:57.18 routine you know that the children can have and get 00:26:57.21\00:27:01.68 accustomed to. Now we talked about them having to walk to 00:27:01.72\00:27:06.15 school for the primary school students, but you have the 00:27:06.19\00:27:10.19 secondary school. And we talked a little bit about the farm that 00:27:10.23\00:27:14.43 you have and how you teach them how they work the field with you 00:27:14.46\00:27:19.80 guys. What vocational training do you have available for the 00:27:19.83\00:27:23.57 children? 00:27:23.61\00:27:27.64 Well at the current time most of our children, especially the 00:27:27.68\00:27:32.71 older ones that are in their form school. Form school is 00:27:32.75\00:27:35.98 equivalent to high school in America. So those form school 00:27:36.02\00:27:42.02 students they go to another school outside of the campus 00:27:42.06\00:27:47.20 around Tanzania. These schools are assigned by the government 00:27:47.23\00:27:51.17 for the children to go to. So we have at least five different 00:27:51.20\00:27:55.50 form schools where the children that are old enough to go are 00:27:55.54\00:28:00.64 currently attending. They come home twice a year. And when they 00:28:00.68\00:28:07.35 do come home we have them readily engaged in the farming 00:28:07.38\00:28:10.42 Most of our children, because the orphanage is only nine years 00:28:10.45\00:28:15.22 old we've gotten these children young so the vocational schools 00:28:15.26\00:28:20.30 that are available to us on the outside. Our first graduate is 00:28:20.33\00:28:25.33 now going to, she's becoming a chef. She's graduating in 00:28:25.37\00:28:30.61 November. But we plan to provide vocational training, computer 00:28:30.64\00:28:36.85 science. We plan to do soap making. We plan to do the 00:28:36.88\00:28:42.42 farming, security, masonry. Those are some of the plans when 00:28:42.45\00:28:46.35 the children get older we have provided as they get older 00:28:46.39\00:28:50.73 to be involved in so that when they do leave the village at 00:28:50.76\00:28:54.53 some point we must transition that into the environment. We 00:28:54.56\00:29:00.00 want them to have these skills of their interest that will help 00:29:00.04\00:29:05.14 them with their families as well 00:29:05.17\00:29:08.38 Mmm, excellent. 00:29:08.41\00:29:09.74 Excellent. Can you tell us a little bit about the churches 00:29:09.78\00:29:13.45 around the area, how the village and the children work together. 00:29:13.48\00:29:19.35 Is there a way that you work together? 00:29:19.39\00:29:21.16 Yes we have services here every Sabbath and that's what we're 00:29:21.19\00:29:28.63 doing right now. We're expanding the dining hall in order to have 00:29:28.66\00:29:32.47 more room for the church services. Also, Child Impact is 00:29:32.50\00:29:36.54 in the process of giving us money to build a multipurpose 00:29:36.57\00:29:39.64 building So here in a few months, we're going to have a 00:29:39.67\00:29:42.81 large facility for church also. At the same time we're going to 00:29:42.84\00:29:49.68 teach sewing and all the different vocational classes in 00:29:49.72\00:29:51.45 the multipurpose building when we get it finished 00:29:51.49\00:29:54.96 As far as the community's involvement we have as many as 00:29:54.99\00:30:00.53 120 children from the 00:30:00.56\00:30:03.50 community come to worship with us on Sabbath so we swell to 00:30:03.53\00:30:07.54 numbers over 200 at times (skips). We have churches, our 00:30:07.57\00:30:13.27 local Seventh-day Adventist churches bring their Pathfinders 00:30:13.31\00:30:16.68 over to have a wonderful play day and the children worship. So 00:30:16.71\00:30:21.48 the children also are aware that they can be involved in 00:30:21.52\00:30:25.05 different activities like Master Guide or Adventurers or (skip) 00:30:25.09\00:30:31.69 That is something that the children are so excited to see 00:30:31.73\00:30:33.76 the uniforms and the marching and the (skip) It's something 00:30:33.80\00:30:39.43 that we love to collaborate with our neighboring churches on 00:30:39.47\00:30:43.10 Sabbath. It's a wonderful time. 00:30:43.14\00:30:45.77 (Nice.) Excellent. This is wonderful. (It is) 00:30:45.81\00:30:49.08 You're not missing out at all. 00:30:49.11\00:30:50.78 We try not to. 00:30:50.81\00:30:54.55 Can you walk us through what would be a typical day. We 00:30:54.58\00:30:57.29 already know that by 6:30 they have to be on their way to 00:30:57.32\00:31:00.96 school. What's like a typical day? 00:31:00.99\00:31:03.43 A typical day for a child going to school is that at 5:30 their 00:31:03.46\00:31:11.30 mamas wake them up. When they wake up they have to first clean 00:31:11.33\00:31:17.24 their environment because they cannot leave home without 00:31:17.27\00:31:20.71 cleaning up. (Making their bed) They got to make their bed, they 00:31:20.74\00:31:23.88 have to mop the floors. They have to make sure everything's 00:31:23.91\00:31:27.42 in place. Then they have worship have morning worship and then 00:31:27.45\00:31:32.19 they have breakfast. After breakfast they head down to the 00:31:32.22\00:31:36.19 security gate. He accounts for all the children at the gate 00:31:36.22\00:31:39.19 and there's an attendant at the gate that will assist them to 00:31:39.23\00:31:43.20 the school. At lunchtime the children come back from 00:31:43.23\00:31:47.50 school because they do eat lunch at home and then go back to 00:31:47.54\00:31:51.57 school. So after they come home between 4 and 5 o'clock in the 00:31:51.61\00:31:58.11 afternoon, when they come home, at that time they have to take 00:31:58.15\00:32:01.05 their uniforms off. If it is soiled they have to wash their 00:32:01.08\00:32:05.82 clothes. They have to clean their clothes for the next day 00:32:05.85\00:32:08.26 and then at 6 o'clock, they are going to get their supper. 00:32:08.29\00:32:13.36 Supper is prepared for them. They will eat. After eating they 00:32:13.40\00:32:17.83 have to clean the dining area make sure it's ready for worship 00:32:17.87\00:32:21.50 again at 7. The mamas are very involved with each child in each 00:32:21.54\00:32:27.14 home so each child separates into their own homes according 00:32:27.18\00:32:30.01 to their age group so that they can have their Bible study. 00:32:30.05\00:32:33.45 After Bible study they get their homework done and then Mama puts 00:32:33.48\00:32:36.92 them to bed right around 9:30 in the evening. 00:32:36.95\00:32:42.26 Wonderful. (Wow) It's a full day It's a full day of activity. 00:32:42.29\00:32:45.79 Yes, it's a full day. 00:32:45.83\00:32:48.43 Yes and when you said they are coming home for lunch that must 00:32:48.46\00:32:54.44 be quite an experience. They walk to school, walk back home, 00:32:54.47\00:33:00.54 then walk back to school and then walk back home again. They 00:33:00.58\00:33:05.21 are getting their exercise. 00:33:05.25\00:33:08.45 And you know if they have time they always, they never miss a 00:33:08.48\00:33:13.56 day Monday through Friday they will be on the soccer field 00:33:13.59\00:33:17.03 which they call football. They will never miss a football 00:33:17.06\00:33:21.03 practice. They have one in the community, they are the number 00:33:21.06\00:33:25.77 one football player in our community because they 00:33:25.80\00:33:28.74 never miss a day. 00:33:28.77\00:33:30.11 Oh wow, that's exciting. Well you know it's nice to be 00:33:30.14\00:33:34.71 involved with the community. The sports is important just like 00:33:34.74\00:33:38.71 academics is important and it's very good and therapeutic for 00:33:38.75\00:33:45.79 the children to work with the soil to work in the on the farm. 00:33:45.82\00:33:50.36 And to be aware of what it requires to take care of a home 00:33:50.39\00:33:56.20 because someday they will be out on their own and no one's going 00:33:56.23\00:34:00.04 to be there to make their beds for them and clean after them 00:34:00.07\00:34:04.07 And some people may say that I still, wash my children's 00:34:04.11\00:34:08.34 clothing. Well you know that might get...when they learn 00:34:08.38\00:34:12.61 their colors the kids already know how to do laundry. So but 00:34:12.65\00:34:18.85 it's admirable you know to see the children they learn the 00:34:18.89\00:34:22.79 rhythm of life and their responsibilities and how proud 00:34:22.82\00:34:25.93 they are to do a good job you know. And they'll come and say 00:34:25.96\00:34:29.66 I am done. I did it and of course acknowledge the job well 00:34:29.70\00:34:34.97 done. So praise the Lord for that. Now we talked about the 00:34:35.00\00:34:42.51 medical and the physical and the school stuff but you know 00:34:42.54\00:34:46.72 sometimes there is an area that we overlook and that is the 00:34:46.75\00:34:50.25 dentistry work. Because as far as general checkups, well every 00:34:50.29\00:34:55.96 body does that. You know after certain months you have to go 00:34:55.99\00:35:00.60 get a check and monthly year checkup but what about the 00:35:00.63\00:35:04.43 dental. Do you need help in taking care of the children's 00:35:04.47\00:35:07.74 teeth? 00:35:07.77\00:35:11.47 Yes, we do. We have Art and Heidi Let's see where are they 00:35:11.51\00:35:16.24 from. (Tennessee) Tennessee and they came and they examined all 00:35:16.28\00:35:20.25 of the children about a year ago and out of all the children we 00:35:20.28\00:35:23.69 only had five cavities in all the children. We don't give them 00:35:23.72\00:35:30.03 candy or sweets as such but still, we could use dentists to 00:35:30.06\00:35:33.60 some on a regular basis to come and help. And the closest 00:35:33.63\00:35:38.93 is four hours from here. So any time we need to take a child to 00:35:38.97\00:35:40.90 the dentist it's a long, long trip just to take them to the 00:35:40.94\00:35:45.24 dentist. And it generally takes two days to drive over there 00:35:45.27\00:35:47.74 go to the dentist and come back So we can always use dentists. 00:35:47.78\00:35:51.18 Of course, we can use anybody to come and volunteer and help us 00:35:51.21\00:35:53.72 for a period of time. Out of the eight homes we have one home 00:35:53.75\00:35:57.22 just for volunteers and guests. And we have solar electricity, 00:35:57.25\00:36:01.72 solar hot water, well we don't have hot water because the hot 00:36:01.76\00:36:04.29 water tanks need to be replaced. But we have Wi-Fi as you know 00:36:04.33\00:36:07.50 because that's how we're with you. So we have a three-bedroom 00:36:07.53\00:36:10.90 home for anybody who wants to come and visit us. 00:36:10.93\00:36:13.23 Excellent, excellent. So there is housing available for someone 00:36:13.27\00:36:17.07 that wants to go and visit and get to know the ministry, see 00:36:17.11\00:36:21.41 the children and...you know it's one thing to see pictures and 00:36:21.44\00:36:24.95 videos and all but it's another thing to actually be there. 00:36:24.98\00:36:28.88 And one of the items that you mentioned Jerry one of the items 00:36:28.92\00:36:34.62 that you just mentioned is the solar-powered water heater and 00:36:34.66\00:36:41.06 all these items. There is a special need for the solar 00:36:41.10\00:36:46.30 panels, right? 00:36:46.33\00:36:47.67 No, the solar hot heaters. See we built this village 12 years 00:36:47.70\00:36:50.87 ago. I've actually been in Tanzania since 2009 but all of 00:36:50.91\00:36:55.11 the solar hot water heaters were put on the homes in 2012 and 00:36:55.14\00:36:59.81 they are not working. We couldn't find the parts for them 00:36:59.85\00:37:03.12 and they all need to be replaced We need approximately $20,000 00:37:03.15\00:37:06.99 just to replace the solar hot water heaters for the children 00:37:07.02\00:37:10.16 Currently none of the children have hot water. We always have 00:37:10.19\00:37:13.90 some kind of special need and that's one of the needs. Talking 00:37:13.93\00:37:17.67 about solar, we own the solar system and our batteries need 00:37:17.70\00:37:21.17 to be replaced also because they're two years old. 00:37:21.20\00:37:25.87 In October we're going to have some lithium batteries shipped 00:37:25.91\00:37:27.98 to us so we'll be having the power then but right now we're 00:37:28.01\00:37:34.08 missing electricity almost every night just because our batteries 00:37:34.12\00:37:36.52 need to be replaced. So we need $5500 just to replace the 00:37:36.55\00:37:40.26 batteries to get us by until October We'd appreciate that too 00:37:40.29\00:37:45.56 Excellent, so $5500 for the batteries right now and $20,000 00:37:45.59\00:37:50.67 for the whole water heater that you need. 00:37:50.70\00:37:55.44 Because we need 10 of them and they're averaging about $2000 00:37:55.47\00:38:00.08 apiece. 00:38:00.11\00:38:01.61 That's wonderful. You know you mentioned volunteers. What type 00:38:01.64\00:38:05.31 of volunteer work. When somebody says I want to be a volunteer 00:38:05.35\00:38:08.78 what can they expect as far as a volunteer to be able to do or 00:38:08.82\00:38:16.06 it's just you have different needs and they can do either 00:38:16.09\00:38:21.36 medical or hands-on. Like perhaps you need some remodeling 00:38:21.40\00:38:26.43 done in some of these homes. What kind of volunteers do you 00:38:26.47\00:38:29.10 need? What do you need? 00:38:29.14\00:38:30.84 As a matter of fact any type of volunteering is acceptable 00:38:30.87\00:38:36.11 because we're a home and we have children. And we've had 00:38:36.14\00:38:40.78 volunteers that come to do painting. They paint rabbits on 00:38:40.82\00:38:45.05 the wall. We've had volunteer ophthalmologists who come to 00:38:45.09\00:38:49.79 check the children's eyes. We had a physician that has come 00:38:49.82\00:38:53.33 to the village to do check ups, wellness checkups. So we 00:38:53.36\00:38:59.10 have volunteers that promised that they would like to build a 00:38:59.13\00:39:02.44 walkway, construction, anything at all. If you like to cook 00:39:02.47\00:39:08.44 there's the kitchen. If you like to plant there's the farm and if 00:39:08.48\00:39:12.75 you like to tell stories there's the children. If you like to 00:39:12.78\00:39:15.25 sing they love to sing. Anything at all, we want (skips) 00:39:15.28\00:39:20.96 That is wonderful. (Great) Well I do know that we have some 00:39:20.99\00:39:24.36 videos to share with our family at home so would you like to go 00:39:24.39\00:39:30.10 to a video? 00:39:30.13\00:39:34.14 Wonderful, sure. You're welcome. 00:39:34.17\00:39:35.50 Okay. Well we have a video about Grace, tell us a little bit 00:39:35.54\00:39:42.04 about Grace before we see the video. 00:39:42.08\00:39:43.78 You know, she's been with us for I think 10 years. We've had one 00:39:43.81\00:39:51.35 that's been with us for 14 years No one really resigns because we 00:39:51.39\00:39:54.06 take care of even our mamas and our staff that are part of our 00:39:54.09\00:39:58.46 family. She just shares some of her experiences while she's been 00:39:58.49\00:40:01.96 here helping us. 00:40:02.00\00:40:03.67 All right. Well we'd like to introduce you to Grace and you 00:40:03.70\00:40:07.27 can hear from her, her experience. 00:40:07.30\00:40:09.27 My name is Grace Meyer. I have been at Falco Children's village 00:40:09.30\00:40:17.11 for? years now. My sister has been here for 11 years 00:40:17.15\00:40:25.85 and most of my staff have been with us for many years like 00:40:25.89\00:40:32.19 we have had one of us for 10 years (Unclear) we join with 00:40:32.23\00:40:38.47 Falco's Children's Village because 00:40:38.50\00:40:41.34 Also, they make us the best family of Falco's Children 00:40:48.84\00:40:53.92 Village. We enjoy being working with _ (Unclear) 00:40:53.95\00:40:59.19 Well, thank you, Grace. I hear the children. You know praise 00:40:59.22\00:41:06.76 the Lord for a noisy house you know. That means the children 00:41:06.80\00:41:12.00 are well and happy and healthy. 00:41:12.03\00:41:17.41 Same as Grace and Elaine. 00:41:17.44\00:41:18.77 She and her sister have been in ministry with you guys there 00:41:18.81\00:41:20.74 (Wow) They both are administrators and are really 00:41:20.78\00:41:29.15 loving, loving sisters. They have families of their own but 00:41:29.18\00:41:32.69 they have devoted their time to the children wholeheartedly. No 00:41:32.72\00:41:37.59 matter what your need is they are there and they are wonderful 00:41:37.63\00:41:41.03 to have. 00:41:41.06\00:41:42.83 That's wonderful, wonderful. 00:41:42.86\00:41:44.40 If you share the video of Jennifer. Jennifer is one of the 00:41:44.43\00:41:48.24 girls that was in the process of being sold to be either a 00:41:48.27\00:41:51.64 prostitute or a wife. We have a number of our girls that were in 00:41:51.67\00:41:55.64 that process that we started taking care of. That's something 00:41:55.68\00:41:58.48 else we haven't shared so far is some of our children that we 00:41:58.51\00:42:02.28 have, have been thrown in toilets, some were abandoned in 00:42:02.32\00:42:05.95 the field. Our youngest son that we adopted was buried alive. 00:42:05.99\00:42:09.42 We have also had children that had burns all over them because 00:42:09.46\00:42:16.20 whenever a child is abandoned to a stranger and the stranger 00:42:16.23\00:42:17.57 did not want them they sometimes throw boiling water on them to 00:42:17.60\00:42:21.44 run them off. So we had children that had a lot of needs and had 00:42:21.47\00:42:26.21 been abandoned and abused severely in the past. But when 00:42:26.24\00:42:30.45 you come you really can't tell that because the children are 00:42:30.48\00:42:33.88 laughing, enjoying, and running and playing. Maybe one time 00:42:33.92\00:42:37.79 every two or three months you see a couple of children 00:42:37.82\00:42:40.26 fighting each other because we really are a wonderful loving 00:42:40.29\00:42:44.33 family. And I'm not saying that just because of Valerie and I. 00:42:44.36\00:42:48.16 When you come you'll see that. You'll experience that when you 00:42:48.20\00:42:51.00 come visit us. 00:42:51.03\00:42:53.27 (For sure.) That's wonderful You know you just mentioned briefly 00:42:53.30\00:42:56.17 a great danger because some of these children are sold 00:42:56.20\00:42:58.91 as slaves. 00:42:58.94\00:43:00.28 And as young brides...At what age, do you have an idea of what 00:43:00.51\00:43:04.95 age some of these children could become...they sell them as 00:43:04.98\00:43:08.78 prostitutes or wives. 00:43:08.82\00:43:13.15 Well the children...we have right now with us twins and when 00:43:13.19\00:43:21.33 their father passed away the uncle, which is the culture 00:43:21.36\00:43:28.14 the uncle takes charge of that household. The brother of that 00:43:28.17\00:43:34.18 deceased man will take charge and he didn't really want to 00:43:34.21\00:43:37.61 have the girls and so he wanted to sell the girls off the be 00:43:37.65\00:43:42.82 young brides. They were 11 years old at the time. And one girl 00:43:42.85\00:43:49.16 would be worth about 20 bulls so having to sell two you would 00:43:49.19\00:43:53.29 get 40 bulls. So they were in the process of being sold. But 00:43:53.33\00:43:58.73 the mother who was a Christian went to her pastor for help in 00:43:58.77\00:44:04.01 secret and they are here currently in secret going to 00:44:04.04\00:44:09.44 school and getting an education because you know in that culture 00:44:09.48\00:44:14.05 if the mother were to stand up against the uncle and say no, no 00:44:14.08\00:44:17.09 these are my girls. She is at risk for danger herself so we do 00:44:17.12\00:44:24.76 have children that are unfortunately in that 00:44:24.79\00:44:27.13 predicament. We have one young lady who was about to be sold 00:44:27.16\00:44:29.83 for a bag of sugar and we rescued her as well. So we had 00:44:29.86\00:44:34.90 three different children at risk but we have provided homes 00:44:34.94\00:44:40.68 through the grace of the Lord and with the help of our 00:44:40.71\00:44:42.04 supporters around the world to give these children a second 00:44:42.08\00:44:45.11 chance, one that the desperately long for. They are so 00:44:45.15\00:44:48.22 grateful. 00:44:48.25\00:44:51.49 Yes (Amen) Can you translate that into...you said 40 bulls. 00:44:51.52\00:44:54.72 How much is that in dollars? Can you help us with that. 00:44:54.76\00:45:00.53 Bulls would be around $400 here approximately. That would be 00:45:00.56\00:45:06.63 quite a bit of money here in Tanzania. 00:45:06.67\00:45:11.14 Bulls are not commodities so if you have a bull, you have 00:45:11.17\00:45:15.81 bulls. The more bulls you have the wealthier you are considered 00:45:15.84\00:45:20.12 to be. 00:45:20.15\00:45:23.02 So you are providing... 00:45:23.05\00:45:26.05 The prettier the girl the more bulls that they have to pay 00:45:26.09\00:45:27.59 for her okay. 00:45:27.62\00:45:31.96 So this is a rescue mission as well as a family shelter 00:45:31.99\00:45:37.13 protection. So we praise the Lord for what you are doing. 00:45:37.17\00:45:40.24 We want to go to Jennifer's story. Let's go ahead and begin 00:45:40.27\00:45:42.37 with the first video about Jennifer. 00:45:42.40\00:45:44.44 Hi, my name is Jennifer. I'm 10 years old and I have 00:45:44.47\00:45:47.88 a relative in Falco's Children's and I'm waiting for the address 00:45:47.94\00:45:51.88 to grade school. I won't forget my life at Falco's Children 00:45:51.91\00:45:55.85 Village because before I joined 00:45:55.88\00:45:57.75 Falco's Children Village my life wasn't very good and I come from 00:45:57.79\00:46:03.73 a polygamous family where my father has two wives. And he was 00:46:03.76\00:46:09.00 not able to provide all the needs for me and my relatives 00:46:09.03\00:46:12.83 so that's the reason why I came here. The shelter was not 00:46:12.87\00:46:16.40 very good and I would even sleep without eating. And I 00:46:16.44\00:46:19.24 always saw people wearing fancy clothes and good clothes but 00:46:19.27\00:46:22.71 I wish I could do so. But it was only one day when Papa 00:46:22.74\00:46:28.38 was passing and helped me out I came to Falco's Village. 00:46:28.45\00:46:34.09 I was amazed to see a nice environment people who 00:46:34.12\00:46:35.46 are very happy and they were welcoming me. And I really thank 00:46:35.49\00:46:40.90 God because I got clothes, shelter and food. 00:46:40.93\00:46:46.77 Praise the Lord. Shelter and food and a home atmosphere. This 00:46:46.80\00:46:51.41 is life-changing for these children. 00:46:51.44\00:46:54.31 That's right. (Yes it is) That's how she got there and now she 00:46:54.34\00:46:56.95 was in the program and we have another clip with her right? 00:46:56.98\00:47:00.08 Yes. Okay. Let's go to that clip 00:47:00.12\00:47:03.25 To sit on the fence Falco has made me very, very, very with a 00:47:03.28\00:47:09.86 a lot of things. I grew mentally, spiritually, and 00:47:09.89\00:47:16.16 physically. I wish for a long time to attend school but when I 00:47:16.20\00:47:17.90 came here I was amazed to go away to school so I was very 00:47:17.93\00:47:22.40 happy. But also I wanted to have good clothes but I was surprised 00:47:22.44\00:47:26.47 to be given a lot of clothes and it was only for like a Christmas 00:47:26.51\00:47:31.48 and it was given a lot of clothes also I was happy. But 00:47:31.51\00:47:34.28 also I enjoyed the food that was being provided here, finding 00:47:34.32\00:47:38.22 friends and seeing people who are with me. I was very happy. 00:47:38.25\00:47:41.52 It helped me grow spiritually. I know the Bible. I know the Bible 00:47:41.56\00:47:44.86 stories and I can even tell people what they have to do. I 00:47:44.89\00:47:50.10 can motivate and help them so that they cannot give up and 00:47:50.13\00:47:55.20 that was not the end because I was in a bad situation. But now 00:47:55.24\00:47:58.71 I am in a good situation so Falco's for me And also they 00:47:58.74\00:48:04.68 helped me grow mentally because now I have graduated and I also 00:48:04.71\00:48:08.55 have food. Amen and amen. Wow. Praise the Lord. Praise the 00:48:08.58\00:48:11.95 Lord. Just when you probably gave up all hopes and just was 00:48:11.99\00:48:17.63 probably when Jennifer thought that there was no way of fixing 00:48:17.66\00:48:21.86 her life the Lord has made provision and the Lord is faithful and He will 00:48:21.90\00:48:27.34 provide for her every need. We don't know how. We don't know 00:48:27.37\00:48:31.67 through whom and it may be perhaps that the Lord is calling 00:48:31.71\00:48:35.68 you at home to be that help that they need. We have this last 00:48:35.71\00:48:40.48 clip of Jennifer and we'd like for you to see what her plans 00:48:40.52\00:48:42.88 are. 00:48:42.92\00:48:44.62 Falco's has made me to be a demand woman because now I 00:48:44.65\00:48:51.99 want to be a social worker because for the life I passed 00:48:52.03\00:48:56.63 through I want to help others to know that is not the end. If you 00:48:56.67\00:49:01.10 have a hard situation God still loves you and will always be 00:49:01.14\00:49:03.20 with you. So I want to help with broken marriages and bring 00:49:03.24\00:49:06.31 them back together. The separate families and the poor children 00:49:06.34\00:49:09.48 who are disabled. I would have to help them and motivate them 00:49:09.51\00:49:14.02 in various ways. And also I want to thank the sponsors and 00:49:14.05\00:49:18.49 people out there who are helping Falco's Children Village. May 00:49:18.52\00:49:22.22 God bless you in whatever you do and wherever you go and fill 00:49:22.26\00:49:25.06 your baskets until they cannot get in anymore. I also want to 00:49:25.09\00:49:29.63 thank Papa and Mama because a lot of people who are reached 00:49:29.66\00:49:34.14 have forgotten that there are people who are poor and have 00:49:34.17\00:49:37.27 given their time and even everything they have can help 00:49:37.31\00:49:41.51 people. So may God bless you and be blessed. Thank you. 00:49:41.54\00:49:44.11 Wow. Thank you very much. You know I see your faces smiling 00:49:44.15\00:49:49.12 You enjoy what you do. But you do have needs. What's your 00:49:49.15\00:49:52.89 monthly budget? What are the needs that are most pressing for 00:49:52.92\00:49:56.62 Falco's Children's Village? 00:49:56.66\00:49:59.76 Well right now is to replace our batteries which is about $5500 00:49:59.79\00:50:03.40 for the batteries. And we need about $20,000 so we have solar 00:50:03.43\00:50:07.34 hot water for the children again Right now the children don't 00:50:07.37\00:50:10.31 have any hot water. We tried to replace them. We tried to buy 00:50:10.34\00:50:13.98 the parts for them. After 12 years there wasn't anything we 00:50:14.01\00:50:17.61 could do. 00:50:17.65\00:50:19.28 Very good. Well thank you very much. I imagine that you may see 00:50:19.31\00:50:24.55 other needs that maybe they didn't mention. There's a need 00:50:24.59\00:50:26.96 for clothing. There's a need for other things that children need. 00:50:26.99\00:50:30.43 They talked about needing computers in the future to help 00:50:30.46\00:50:35.36 them learn that aspect of vocational training. So we 00:50:35.40\00:50:39.60 encourage you to support this ministry. This is a ministry 00:50:39.63\00:50:42.37 that's making a difference in the lives of children that 00:50:42.40\00:50:44.81 potentially could be out in the street and be sold as slaves or 00:50:44.84\00:50:50.61 be sold as prostitutes. They are doing a work that should be 00:50:50.65\00:50:54.98 prayed for. We encourage you to pray for them and we are going 00:50:55.02\00:51:00.06 to share with you.
