original mission or objective

really reaching my heart

at a time when I
was asking and searching

what He would have me to do.

And I really believe that
everything started with prayer.

You know, just finding
that time to humble ourselves,

to come before the Lord,
to seek for His guidance,

to ask Him for wisdom.

would You have me to do?

And it was difficult because
it didn't come right away.

There was no immediate answer,
"Go and do this. Go do that."

Sometimes we
want that quick answer

to know exactly what to do.

But it was a process.

And it was like a
refiner's fire kind of process.

You go through and you
really search your heart

to see, what is it
that I need to be doing?

What's preventing me
from connecting with God?

Or, what am I holding on

And really, the study
of Isaiah 58 happened to be

something that was
really powerful in my life

to help me to
understand that we are to go to

I didn't really
understand that point

and what that would look like.

Who would go with me,
or what am I repairing

and rebuilding and restoring?

But it was also again a process
of calling out to the Lord

and saying, "Lord, what
would you have me to do next?

And I remember the
call came to go to Thailand

and to preach.

I said, "Lord, surely I'm
not qualified to go to preach.

I'm not a pastor.

I haven't been able to,
you know, study, and to learn

all that I still don't know."

And the conviction
that I had in my heart was,

"Well, are you willing to go?

It's not what you
know, but are you willing

to go to be used by Me?"

And that was a
very humbling experience

to understand that God
is looking to equip us,

We set everything up, and we

And I went and knocked on her

The Lord impresses me
to talk to the others.

And one of our team
leaders, John, he says to me,

where they were preaching,

refugees that were coming

listening and
hearing all about Christ

for the very first time.
