That was amazing. 00:05:34.36\00:05:36.50 Well praise the Lord, let's get right into our program. 00:05:37.07\00:05:39.10 Rise, would you like to have a word of prayer 00:05:39.13\00:05:40.54 for us as we get started? 00:05:40.57\00:05:41.90 - Yeah, sure. - Alright, let's pray together. 00:05:41.94\00:05:43.27 Father in heaven, we're just so grateful 00:05:43.30\00:05:44.87 that to each one you've given a place and a work. 00:05:44.91\00:05:47.91 And as we talk with Raven and Vaughan, we just 00:05:47.94\00:05:51.51 pray that as they share with us the place that You've put them 00:05:51.55\00:05:54.62 and the work that You've given to them and laid on their hearts 00:05:54.65\00:05:56.85 that You be honored and glorified. 00:05:56.89\00:05:58.49 And that those who are watching, their hearts would be touched 00:05:58.85\00:06:01.66 and blessed in some way. 00:06:01.69\00:06:03.49 May Your Spirit rule and inspire. 00:06:03.89\00:06:06.70 We ask in Jesus' name, amen. 00:06:06.73\00:06:08.66 ~ Amen. ~ Amen. 00:06:08.70\00:06:10.03 So, Vaughan, I'm just going to start with a question. 00:06:10.07\00:06:11.93 It's been a while, there may be viewers out there 00:06:11.97\00:06:14.97 who have never heard of Wildwood. 00:06:15.00\00:06:16.60 It's been a few years since you've been here. 00:06:16.64\00:06:18.57 Can you tell us and give us a little introduction to Wildwood? 00:06:18.91\00:06:21.11 What is Wildwood? Tell us a little about Wildwood. 00:06:21.14\00:06:23.51 So Wildwood is located in the little town of Wildwood Georgia. 00:06:23.98\00:06:28.65 Just outside of Chattanooga Tennessee. 00:06:29.55\00:06:33.05 And the state line divides our property into two. 00:06:33.09\00:06:36.86 But Wildwood was started, or incorporated, let's say, 00:06:37.33\00:06:41.03 in 1942; it was started a couple of years before. 00:06:41.06\00:06:44.80 But incorporated in 1942 00:06:44.83\00:06:47.50 as Wildwood Sanitarium Incorporated. 00:06:47.54\00:06:50.64 And the idea behind the ministry was of health work 00:06:50.97\00:06:56.61 and health education. 00:06:56.64\00:06:57.98 And in those early years we started as a hospital. 00:06:58.18\00:07:02.48 It was a tiny little hospital. 00:07:02.52\00:07:04.55 And in the early 70's the current building that we operate 00:07:04.59\00:07:09.09 our lifestyle center out of was a state-licensed hospital. 00:07:09.12\00:07:14.06 And we operated like that for a number of years 00:07:14.50\00:07:17.33 until the two philosophies became a little more divergent 00:07:17.53\00:07:21.67 and we lost our insurance coverage. 00:07:21.70\00:07:25.37 And then it was cut back to a 13-bed state licensed 00:07:26.34\00:07:31.85 hospital, from 39, to where the lifestyle center was born. 00:07:31.88\00:07:37.35 And along with the lifestyle center today 00:07:37.45\00:07:40.62 we have an education program. 00:07:40.66\00:07:43.39 Our center of health evangelism operates a six months training 00:07:44.39\00:07:50.60 school for medical missionaries. 00:07:50.63\00:07:52.83 And then there's a possibility of select students after that 00:07:53.57\00:07:57.77 doing the advanced training, which is for an additional year, 00:07:57.81\00:08:00.84 and being able to either take the Lifestyle Counselor 00:08:00.88\00:08:04.48 course or the Ministry Management course. 00:08:04.51\00:08:07.22 ~ Okay. 00:08:07.25\00:08:08.58 We also have the Wildwood natural food store 00:08:08.62\00:08:12.99 that people travel to and come to buy whole foods, 00:08:13.02\00:08:18.19 along with our little herb store that's included in that. 00:08:18.23\00:08:22.63 Which is kind of like the pharmacy 00:08:22.66\00:08:24.23 for the lifestyle center. 00:08:24.27\00:08:25.77 We have a little farm. 00:08:26.57\00:08:27.90 But we sit on 640 acres of woods and rolling hills, 00:08:27.94\00:08:32.51 and it's a beautiful campus. 00:08:32.81\00:08:34.94 Many people that come to visit us say, "When we drive onto 00:08:36.24\00:08:39.78 this campus we just feel peace and the love of God here." 00:08:39.81\00:08:43.99 And so, we believe that we're involved in a spiritual work. 00:08:44.19\00:08:48.32 And I'll share more about that a little bit more later. 00:08:48.36\00:08:52.36 But that's basically Wildwood in a nut shell. 00:08:52.76\00:08:56.20 And there's more that can been seen in a video that 00:08:56.23\00:09:00.87 we can have a look at and give you a little tour. 00:09:00.90\00:09:06.27 Alright, sounds good. 00:09:06.31\00:09:07.68 Let's check it out. 00:09:07.71\00:09:09.04 Wildwood started medical missionary work in 1942 00:09:17.75\00:09:21.96 with the purpose of restoring God's image in man. 00:09:21.99\00:09:25.09 We did not just envision people locally, 00:09:27.40\00:09:30.20 but all over the world. 00:09:30.30\00:09:32.57 We set out to inspire a global movement, 00:09:33.20\00:09:35.70 to train missionaries, to use health evangelism, 00:09:35.74\00:09:38.87 so that lives could be changed forever. 00:09:38.91\00:09:41.31 Every semester we see students from all parts of the world 00:09:42.18\00:09:45.31 eager to learn what medical missionary work is all about. 00:09:45.51\00:09:48.75 They get immersed in hands-on training on God's method of 00:09:49.05\00:09:52.89 healing and restoration and transformation. 00:09:52.92\00:09:56.12 They get also the opportunity to go to the communities 00:09:56.99\00:10:00.33 around our campus meeting people where they are, 00:10:00.36\00:10:03.73 sharing with them what they are learning in their classes, 00:10:03.77\00:10:06.84 and at the same time showing the compassion of Christ to them. 00:10:07.10\00:10:11.24 Once a semester they also get an opportunity to come with us 00:10:11.64\00:10:15.81 to a church in a city of the U.S. inspiring other 00:10:15.91\00:10:19.91 church members to follow in the footsteps of Jesus 00:10:19.95\00:10:22.48 of healing, preaching, and teaching. 00:10:22.52\00:10:25.22 After that training is over, they get launched to other parts 00:10:25.92\00:10:29.59 of the world and they become ambassadors of Jesus Christ. 00:10:29.62\00:10:34.20 Sometimes I think me on the phone, like, 00:10:34.23\00:10:38.33 "Oh, you know what I'm learning in the class. 00:10:38.37\00:10:40.50 I'm learning about bees, I'm learning about theology. 00:10:40.54\00:10:44.24 And you know what's happening in your body?" 00:10:44.27\00:10:46.47 God is literally using me to share the love of God. 00:10:46.51\00:10:51.25 And I have three friends that are coming to Wildwood because 00:10:51.28\00:10:54.65 they love what God is doing in my life, and they want the same. 00:10:55.15\00:11:01.92 They want to be a missionary, and they want to serve God, 00:11:02.29\00:11:08.73 and they want to learn how the body works 00:11:08.76\00:11:12.63 and how you can help more people like Jesus did. 00:11:12.67\00:11:15.47 Every worker that is employed by Wildwood 00:11:15.50\00:11:20.58 has to have a basic knowledge at least 00:11:20.61\00:11:23.55 of God's healing practices. 00:11:23.58\00:11:26.48 And that is a basic requirement that we also have 00:11:26.88\00:11:30.92 when people come to work in the natural food store. 00:11:31.02\00:11:34.32 Every day we have people coming in asking these questions, 00:11:34.99\00:11:39.19 not only about what food can I eat, but what natural remedies 00:11:39.43\00:11:43.90 do you have for specific conditions. 00:11:43.93\00:11:46.53 And fortunately, we have the people there that can share 00:11:46.74\00:11:51.31 with them and can help educate them. 00:11:51.34\00:11:53.94 And in doing so, we form friendships. 00:11:54.04\00:11:57.21 And we're able to share not only literature with them, 00:11:57.31\00:12:00.25 but also from our personal experiences and how this 00:12:00.65\00:12:05.75 knowledge has actually benefited us. 00:12:05.79\00:12:08.16 And we also have people attending church now 00:12:08.62\00:12:11.69 because of contacts that they've made through 00:12:11.73\00:12:14.66 the natural food store. 00:12:14.70\00:12:16.30 And in so doing, I believe we actually reach our wider 00:12:16.33\00:12:21.37 community and fulfill the mission statement of Wildwood. 00:12:21.40\00:12:26.74 When I think about our vision and how 00:12:26.94\00:12:29.51 Wildwood Lifestyle Center is inspiring a global movement 00:12:29.54\00:12:34.38 using God's method for restoration and transformation 00:12:34.42\00:12:37.02 of lives, I don't think about the hydrotherapy, 00:12:37.05\00:12:40.06 I don't think about the staff even trying to share Christ 00:12:40.16\00:12:43.26 with people, or even our 640 acres of land of peace and joy. 00:12:43.29\00:12:47.66 I think about our guests who say, "You know, 00:12:47.96\00:12:52.23 I want to actually turn my home into a sanitarium 00:12:52.27\00:12:54.80 because you all have transformed me." 00:12:54.84\00:12:57.24 Or when they leave here and they want to be a part of our 00:12:57.57\00:13:00.64 educational system because they want to be able to 00:13:00.68\00:13:03.98 help someone else the way we've helped them, 00:13:04.01\00:13:06.41 and even decided to join our team and be a part of the work. 00:13:06.61\00:13:10.79 When those people do that, that makes us even want 00:13:11.05\00:13:13.69 to enhance more of sharing the gospel. 00:13:13.72\00:13:16.49 And one of the things that we're doing here in the 00:13:16.52\00:13:18.26 lifestyle center is that we're trying to tackle even more 00:13:18.29\00:13:21.90 the diabetic crisis within the United States. 00:13:21.93\00:13:24.27 So one of the things that we're doing is a research program 00:13:24.57\00:13:27.70 to be able to show and prove and write articles that 00:13:27.74\00:13:31.07 the methods that we're doing here is making an 00:13:31.11\00:13:32.81 impact within diabetes, as well as create a book 00:13:32.84\00:13:36.81 so we can be able to share again what God's methods can do 00:13:36.91\00:13:41.05 in healing someone who has diabetes? 00:13:41.15\00:13:43.55 We're also, starting this October, having a CNA course 00:13:43.89\00:13:48.22 that we can maybe help people going into people's homes 00:13:48.42\00:13:50.76 to not only help them with cancer, diabetes, hypertension, 00:13:50.86\00:13:53.96 but also to show God's method of love and care 00:13:54.20\00:13:57.13 as simple remedies in the home. 00:13:57.17\00:13:59.13 I tell you, it's an inspiring thing to be here 00:13:59.33\00:14:02.24 to see what God is doing in the lives of others. 00:14:02.27\00:14:04.57 And we pray that the new adventures that we're 00:14:04.77\00:14:06.68 reaching out to do will even cause a greater global movement. 00:14:06.71\00:14:10.81 Our work is more crucial than ever before. 00:14:11.91\00:14:15.98 Serving, educating, healing since 1942. 00:14:16.69\00:14:22.09 - That was amazing. - That was really amazing. 00:14:25.16\00:14:27.30 I don't want to just hone in on this, because it 00:14:27.33\00:14:29.63 seems like Wildwood is so much more, but I think it's 00:14:29.66\00:14:31.80 so cool that you guys have this research that 00:14:31.83\00:14:33.90 you're doing too kind of validate the results of 00:14:33.94\00:14:36.84 what you're seeing, and let people know about it. 00:14:36.87\00:14:39.31 This is evidence-based. 00:14:39.34\00:14:40.94 ~ Amen. - Yeah, that's cool. 00:14:40.98\00:14:42.51 I'm kind of curious, what do you guys see 00:14:42.54\00:14:45.41 as the special niche of Wildwood? 00:14:45.45\00:14:48.35 Locally, community, in America, in the world. 00:14:49.08\00:14:52.15 ~ That's a loaded question. 00:14:52.75\00:14:54.42 But as was shared in the video, and this video is packed with 00:14:55.36\00:14:59.46 a lot of information, and we can try and unravel some of it, 00:14:59.49\00:15:02.46 but it's restoring the image of God in humanity. 00:15:03.00\00:15:07.14 It's preparing a people to stand in the investigative judgment. 00:15:07.54\00:15:12.24 It's largely a spiritual work that has gone from 00:15:12.84\00:15:17.55 our little campus to around the world. 00:15:18.01\00:15:21.48 And it's impacted so many lives around the world, 00:15:21.68\00:15:26.02 both in healing physical, spiritual, mental, 00:15:26.29\00:15:33.13 and also in order to provide an opportunity for people 00:15:33.16\00:15:38.40 to get involved in this work and in the medical missionary work. 00:15:38.43\00:15:43.20 So it's a training and educational work as well. 00:15:43.24\00:15:46.74 And so, you know, we've seen over the years that... 00:15:46.78\00:15:51.21 Recently on a trip to India visiting some of our ministries 00:15:52.61\00:15:55.68 there, the comments were, "We so appreciate 00:15:55.72\00:16:00.72 what you've done and the paths that have been laid down 00:16:00.82\00:16:03.93 and that we can follow on." 00:16:03.96\00:16:05.63 And so, it's a special work. 00:16:05.83\00:16:08.60 I believe it's a work that God has called us to 00:16:09.00\00:16:12.53 for this time in earth's history. 00:16:12.63\00:16:14.40 Preparing people to meet their Maker. 00:16:14.60\00:16:17.61 When you say, "some of our ministries there," 00:16:17.64\00:16:20.81 so you guys are connected with ministries all over the world? 00:16:20.84\00:16:23.71 ~ Yes. - Okay. 00:16:23.75\00:16:25.11 We have ministries that have been started by 00:16:25.15\00:16:28.12 previous students. 00:16:28.65\00:16:29.98 We have ministries that, you know, Wildwood itself 00:16:30.02\00:16:32.79 has been instrumental in starting. 00:16:32.82\00:16:34.59 But many of these ministries need funds. 00:16:34.62\00:16:38.33 And so, they raise funds. 00:16:38.53\00:16:41.56 And because we have the right criteria for the IRS, 00:16:41.60\00:16:46.30 we can assist them in getting those funds transferred 00:16:46.80\00:16:50.81 to be used in an appropriate way. 00:16:50.84\00:16:52.87 And so, part of what I do is visit these ministries, 00:16:52.91\00:16:58.11 encourage, and just making sure that the funds 00:16:58.15\00:17:01.08 are used appropriately. 00:17:01.12\00:17:02.68 And so, we had the experience of visiting six ministries 00:17:02.72\00:17:06.72 in India a couple of months ago. 00:17:07.02\00:17:09.12 ~ Any idea how many ministries you are connected with? 00:17:09.16\00:17:11.76 As we've looked and tried to add up over the years 00:17:12.53\00:17:16.46 approximately around 150. 00:17:17.27\00:17:20.07 And as you look at OCI today, Wildwood was also instrumental 00:17:20.47\00:17:25.17 in the founding of OCI, and OCI today is 00:17:25.21\00:17:29.14 headed to in excess of 200 ministries. 00:17:29.18\00:17:32.11 And so, you know, there's threads that connect 00:17:32.15\00:17:36.18 all of these together. 00:17:36.22\00:17:37.59 ~ You mentioned the word, medical missionary. 00:17:38.42\00:17:39.85 Will you explain what you mean by that? 00:17:39.89\00:17:41.49 So the medical missionary work for us is more involved 00:17:42.12\00:17:47.23 for lay people rather than many times it's set aside 00:17:47.26\00:17:53.47 for those that are qualified physicians, nurses. 00:17:53.50\00:17:56.97 But there's also in the spirit of prophecy 00:17:57.07\00:17:59.51 in, Ministry of Healing, a call for those that can be 00:17:59.54\00:18:03.35 trained in simple remedies to fit a niche of 00:18:03.38\00:18:07.82 meeting people where they are. 00:18:07.85\00:18:09.38 An example, a quick story of students on a mission trip 00:18:10.42\00:18:15.22 to India, this little boy was brought to them. 00:18:15.26\00:18:18.43 He was a few months old. 00:18:18.83\00:18:22.43 He had a terrible skin condition, he wasn't able 00:18:23.47\00:18:26.94 to move, or anything like that. 00:18:27.00\00:18:29.00 And our students were like, "Oh, what do we do?" 00:18:29.04\00:18:32.11 And the Holy Spirit impressed them, well wash the baby. 00:18:32.41\00:18:36.58 The baby hadn't been washed since birth. 00:18:36.61\00:18:39.15 ~ How old was he? 00:18:39.45\00:18:40.78 He's about three months old already. 00:18:40.82\00:18:42.72 ~ It's part of the culture there. 00:18:43.18\00:18:45.72 So they bathed this child. 00:18:45.92\00:18:49.72 And within a short time the skin started healing up. 00:18:49.76\00:18:53.09 And this child became vibrant and responsive. 00:18:53.13\00:18:56.06 And all of a sudden other mothers in the neighborhood 00:18:56.16\00:18:59.13 started coming, "Can you help my baby too?" 00:18:59.17\00:19:02.07 You know, so just simple things used simply can 00:19:02.10\00:19:05.94 create such a powerful impact on people. 00:19:06.14\00:19:08.34 And right there you have an opportunity 00:19:08.38\00:19:10.21 to share about Christ. 00:19:10.41\00:19:11.98 ~ I think the biggest thing that has helped us is 00:19:12.38\00:19:16.25 that our schools really train us almost like doctors. 00:19:16.28\00:19:20.29 You know, we really get into the physiology, 00:19:20.49\00:19:22.32 and the disease and treatment, and how to do suturing, 00:19:22.36\00:19:25.03 and phlebotomy, and reading bloodwork. 00:19:25.06\00:19:27.96 So you learn so much, but the end goal where the 00:19:28.26\00:19:31.40 ministry part comes in, everything is just 00:19:31.43\00:19:34.50 to utilize your skills to reach souls for Christ. 00:19:34.54\00:19:36.67 Okay, so we go into the inner cities with our students, 00:19:37.17\00:19:39.64 with our workers. 00:19:39.67\00:19:41.01 We had a gentleman whose feet were swollen, 00:19:41.04\00:19:43.21 he was diabetic. 00:19:43.24\00:19:44.65 And we could only see him once a week. 00:19:44.68\00:19:46.41 But the goal was, again, to be able to reach a soul for Christ. 00:19:46.61\00:19:50.69 So at least once a week we were able to go in and 00:19:50.72\00:19:52.75 cook for him, help do massages on his foot, 00:19:52.79\00:19:55.96 use treatments on his foot, do hot and cold treatments. 00:19:56.16\00:19:58.63 His feet got better within a month. 00:19:58.66\00:20:00.66 At this stage now, he's asking the question about Christ. 00:20:01.20\00:20:04.80 Whereas before, we're just there because we show care. 00:20:05.00\00:20:08.20 But it's like, "Why are you showing care?" 00:20:08.24\00:20:09.60 You know, "What do you want from me? 00:20:09.80\00:20:11.14 How much money do I have to pay?" 00:20:11.17\00:20:12.51 "You don't have to pay anything?" 00:20:12.54\00:20:13.88 "Why don't I have to pay anything?" 00:20:13.91\00:20:15.24 You know. The whole goal is to reach a soul. 00:20:15.28\00:20:17.45 And so we're utilizing the skills that God gives us 00:20:17.48\00:20:19.81 to be able to do that. 00:20:19.85\00:20:21.18 ~ That's the way Christ worked. 00:20:21.22\00:20:22.55 I mean, when you think about His ministry 00:20:22.58\00:20:23.92 on this earth, He went forth healing people 00:20:23.95\00:20:26.92 physically, and then He started preaching the gospel. 00:20:27.02\00:20:29.89 He would make that connection with the gospel. 00:20:29.92\00:20:31.59 So this work sounds like the work that Christ did 00:20:31.63\00:20:36.00 when He was on this earth. 00:20:36.03\00:20:37.37 So how does Wildwood empower individuals 00:20:37.40\00:20:40.17 to take hold of their own health? 00:20:40.27\00:20:42.60 To take control of their health and their well-being? 00:20:42.64\00:20:44.84 Well one of the aspects that we do within our lifestyle center, 00:20:45.21\00:20:48.11 we have a segment of time where we get really practical. 00:20:48.14\00:20:50.88 Okay. So we're teaching them how to cook, and then 00:20:50.98\00:20:54.05 they're actually not only learning, but hands-on. 00:20:54.08\00:20:56.89 Learning how to cook, learning what ingredient is good 00:20:56.92\00:20:59.72 and what is not, and then they learn how to 00:20:59.75\00:21:01.39 make their own breads. 00:21:01.42\00:21:02.76 Also how to make their own products, whether it's 00:21:02.79\00:21:04.79 lotions, shampoos, toothbrushes. 00:21:05.26\00:21:08.03 ~ That's great. ~ Really? 00:21:08.06\00:21:09.40 Because whatever you put on your skin, 60% of it 00:21:09.43\00:21:11.47 goes into your bloodstream. 00:21:11.50\00:21:12.83 And so, when I had fibroids, and this is one of the things 00:21:12.87\00:21:14.90 that I really appreciate about Wildwood, when I went there 00:21:14.94\00:21:16.94 I didn't realize how sick I was as a student, 00:21:16.97\00:21:19.24 but I had to realize that a lot of the products I used 00:21:19.44\00:21:22.74 caused the fibroids to grow more. 00:21:22.78\00:21:24.55 And so, when you learn how to take back, 00:21:24.85\00:21:26.92 you know, for yourself, when they teach us gardening there, 00:21:26.95\00:21:29.78 we also teach that to some of our mental health guests. 00:21:29.82\00:21:32.09 We take them out to the farm. 00:21:32.12\00:21:33.46 So when you start to learn these are ways that 00:21:33.76\00:21:35.89 I can utilize any kind of skills and tools, 00:21:35.92\00:21:38.06 whether it's making my own food, you know, my breads, 00:21:38.09\00:21:40.73 my own products, how to grow my own food, 00:21:40.76\00:21:42.96 I get to be empowered to know that I don't have to be a victim 00:21:43.37\00:21:47.14 to whatever you say, to whatever you give me 00:21:47.17\00:21:48.94 I have to take in. 00:21:48.97\00:21:50.31 I can take charge of my own life. 00:21:50.34\00:21:51.81 We want to empower people to continue to do that. 00:21:51.84\00:21:54.01 I really like that. 00:21:54.04\00:21:55.38 ~ I think also the important part of that, you know, 00:21:55.41\00:21:57.68 is this concept of change. 00:21:57.71\00:21:59.45 And giving people back the ability to make choices. 00:21:59.48\00:22:05.95 Because change is about choice. 00:22:06.29\00:22:08.49 And so, as we share with people, you know, your habits 00:22:08.72\00:22:13.23 that you have are detrimental to your health. 00:22:13.26\00:22:16.06 But you have the power, through the Holy Spirit, 00:22:16.26\00:22:20.10 cooperating with God, to make positive choices. 00:22:20.30\00:22:24.17 Where you've make negative choices before, 00:22:24.21\00:22:26.17 now you can make positive choices. 00:22:26.21\00:22:28.14 Then teaching them how to reason from cause to effect. 00:22:28.41\00:22:31.08 If I do this if I put this in my body, 00:22:31.11\00:22:33.65 this is going to be the result. 00:22:33.68\00:22:35.28 Do I need to do this now? Do I need to eat this now? 00:22:35.38\00:22:38.95 Do I need to eat this at all? 00:22:38.99\00:22:40.89 And so, I can say no, and start a new neural pathway in my brain 00:22:40.92\00:22:47.06 for positive choices, and use that to improve my health 00:22:47.10\00:22:52.57 and be more receptive to the Holy Spirit. 00:22:52.67\00:22:55.37 So it sounds like Wildwood has different compartments, 00:22:56.00\00:23:00.08 categories of what you guys do. 00:23:00.11\00:23:01.78 So you have a lifestyle center. 00:23:01.81\00:23:03.51 And does that function like a clinic? 00:23:03.61\00:23:05.78 ~ So we actually have a lifestyle clinic 00:23:05.81\00:23:09.05 and we have a lifestyle center. 00:23:09.08\00:23:10.42 So the aspect, if you want to come and stay with us 00:23:10.45\00:23:12.62 for 11 or 22 days, or even longer, we've had people 00:23:12.65\00:23:14.99 up to like even three to four months, yeah, before. 00:23:15.02\00:23:18.86 Because you're talking about cancer at times. 00:23:18.89\00:23:21.56 You're talking about people wanting to lose weight, 00:23:21.60\00:23:23.43 having anxiety. 00:23:23.47\00:23:24.80 They have the funds, so by God's grace they stay with us longer. 00:23:24.83\00:23:28.07 And then for those who cannot stay or who don't really need to 00:23:28.74\00:23:31.51 because they're within the area, they can come to our clinic. 00:23:31.54\00:23:34.54 And it's an outpatient clinic where they're still meeting with 00:23:34.58\00:23:37.11 our endocrinologist, our nutritionist. 00:23:37.15\00:23:39.65 And God is able to bless. 00:23:40.52\00:23:42.42 Yes, we do have different entities within Wildwood. 00:23:42.45\00:23:45.09 Because the Wildwood Institute is the school, the store, 00:23:45.12\00:23:48.92 the farm, the lifestyle center. 00:23:48.96\00:23:50.69 Because we're trying to reach people holistically 00:23:50.73\00:23:52.99 and empowering them to make changes in their lives. 00:23:53.03\00:23:55.60 ~ The lifestyle guest has the education part 00:23:56.36\00:24:00.47 woven into their program. 00:24:00.50\00:24:01.94 So they have a visit with a doctor, 00:24:02.17\00:24:05.61 they have treatment plans, 00:24:06.27\00:24:08.48 then they have lifestyle lectures 00:24:09.31\00:24:12.18 where many of these principles are shared with them. 00:24:12.21\00:24:15.62 The eight laws of health. 00:24:15.65\00:24:17.22 And you have the power to choose to practice 00:24:17.25\00:24:20.46 those eight laws of health. 00:24:20.49\00:24:21.82 ~ What are the eight laws of health, real quick? 00:24:21.86\00:24:23.19 ~ Okay, so you know there's NEW START. 00:24:23.22\00:24:25.89 So you have nutrition, exercise, water, 00:24:26.09\00:24:29.26 temperance, where usually a lot of times that is self-control, 00:24:29.30\00:24:33.10 you have air, rest, and trust in God. 00:24:33.13\00:24:35.70 ~ Sunlight. - Sunlight, yes. 00:24:35.74\00:24:37.27 ~ Like the exact opposite of lockdown. 00:24:37.31\00:24:39.37 I mean, I think it's really important for us and for our 00:24:40.88\00:24:43.65 viewers to recognize that the principles that God has given us 00:24:43.68\00:24:47.22 are under attack. Right? 00:24:47.25\00:24:48.88 We're living in a world right now that we're seeing 00:24:49.08\00:24:51.85 a spiritual conflict. 00:24:51.89\00:24:53.22 Not just of flesh and blood, but a spiritual conflict. 00:24:53.25\00:24:55.59 And I love that story from India because it reminds me that 00:24:56.09\00:25:00.40 people just don't know about simple basic treatments. 00:25:00.43\00:25:04.90 You know, I think we're in a world now 00:25:05.27\00:25:06.87 where everyone wants a drug, everyone wants a shot. 00:25:06.90\00:25:08.94 Everyone wants something that somehow is just going to 00:25:08.97\00:25:11.54 cure them, you know, and they can... 00:25:11.57\00:25:12.97 But really what God is directing us to is lifestyle. Right? 00:25:13.01\00:25:16.51 The way we live, what we expose ourselves to, 00:25:17.08\00:25:20.42 the products we expose ourselves to. 00:25:20.45\00:25:22.25 Air, sunshine, exercise, rest, trust. 00:25:22.28\00:25:26.05 All of this. 00:25:26.09\00:25:27.42 ~ I think the biggest thing is, we're trying to empower people 00:25:27.46\00:25:30.23 to know how significant they are, how important they are. 00:25:30.26\00:25:33.03 The body was built to heal. 00:25:33.06\00:25:34.70 So it's just, what can we utilize from God 00:25:34.90\00:25:37.53 to naturally give it its ability to heal. 00:25:37.57\00:25:39.93 So this is why we do even the mental health. 00:25:40.04\00:25:42.20 Ninety percent of all diseases start in the mind. 00:25:42.24\00:25:44.34 So how do we get you to stop working against yourself 00:25:44.37\00:25:47.18 when you didn't know that you we're working against yourself? 00:25:47.21\00:25:49.48 ~ Well tell us about the mental health. 00:25:49.51\00:25:50.85 I haven't hear this one. 00:25:50.88\00:25:52.21 ~ So the mental health program, it's the same. 00:25:52.25\00:25:53.62 You have an 11-day program. 00:25:53.65\00:25:55.05 So you're meeting with a mental health coach, 00:25:55.15\00:25:57.82 which I've been filling in also for that right now. 00:25:57.85\00:26:00.32 ~ When you say, mental health, does that include depression? 00:26:00.36\00:26:02.22 So that's depression, anxiety, stress. 00:26:02.26\00:26:04.56 The three corporate things that we're trying to address 00:26:04.96\00:26:07.06 is how a person feels about themselves, 00:26:07.10\00:26:09.00 how do they handle themself with others, 00:26:09.03\00:26:10.53 how do they handle day-to-day life. 00:26:10.57\00:26:11.90 So it's different from mental illness, 00:26:12.10\00:26:14.24 where we're talking about bipolarism or schizophrenia. 00:26:14.27\00:26:16.64 We've had people come to our lifestyle center with that, 00:26:16.67\00:26:18.94 but they have to stay on their medications. 00:26:18.97\00:26:20.48 Legally that's something we cannot take them off of. 00:26:20.51\00:26:22.74 But we try to deal with the basic things. 00:26:23.85\00:26:25.88 How a thought pattern can really create cancer, 00:26:25.91\00:26:28.78 diabetes, hypertension. 00:26:29.18\00:26:30.69 And no one would know that. No one would think that. 00:26:30.89\00:26:33.46 And so, we're trying to educate them to work in a more 00:26:33.66\00:26:36.62 positive way, that they are actually worth fighting for. 00:26:36.66\00:26:39.69 And so, we've had people who have come... 00:26:40.03\00:26:42.90 Like, I have this young lady who just came recently. 00:26:42.93\00:26:45.37 And she wanted to commit suicide, and has children. 00:26:45.40\00:26:47.74 And her family said, "Please..." 00:26:47.94\00:26:49.44 Her mother came before with the same kind of depression. 00:26:49.47\00:26:52.67 And she got better with our program. 00:26:52.87\00:26:55.01 And so she sent her daughter, because they stopped her 00:26:55.04\00:26:57.08 from committing suicide. 00:26:57.11\00:26:58.51 So someone told her and said, "Hey, listen, 00:26:58.55\00:27:01.42 someone has got a word for you. 00:27:01.45\00:27:02.92 Please don't try to, you know, commit suicide." 00:27:03.02\00:27:05.09 They sent her to the program. 00:27:05.12\00:27:06.45 She pretty much just was done with us. 00:27:06.49\00:27:08.16 She didn't like us, she didn't like anything about the program. 00:27:08.19\00:27:10.79 It's boring to her. 00:27:10.83\00:27:12.16 And so, our chaplain spoke to her and said, 00:27:12.49\00:27:14.43 "Babe, listen..." 00:27:14.46\00:27:15.96 Now, "Babe" is how I speak, you know. 00:27:16.00\00:27:17.97 He was like, "Listen, God has a word for you. 00:27:19.93\00:27:22.07 Someone has a word for you." 00:27:22.10\00:27:23.44 She said, "Wait a minute. Why are you saying that? 00:27:23.47\00:27:25.01 I was told that. Do you know this person?" 00:27:25.04\00:27:26.61 He was like, "No, I don't know that person." 00:27:26.64\00:27:28.04 She said, "Okay, alright, fine. 00:27:28.24\00:27:30.18 I don't know what word you're talking about." 00:27:30.21\00:27:31.55 Right? So I taught a class on identity first. 00:27:31.65\00:27:36.02 And then I teach the next one on coping mechanisms, 00:27:36.05\00:27:38.45 and cognitive distortions, and then guilt and forgiveness. 00:27:39.85\00:27:42.69 And by the time I teach these classes and really showing you 00:27:42.89\00:27:46.19 from Romans 8:6-7, "The carnal mind has enmity against God, 00:27:46.39\00:27:50.50 is not subject to His law, neither can be." 00:27:50.70\00:27:53.07 So there's going to be an aspect of you that's 00:27:53.27\00:27:54.80 always going to want to fail. 00:27:54.84\00:27:57.47 Okay? 00:27:57.51\00:27:58.84 So when we're teaching you not to run with your emotions, 00:27:58.87\00:28:01.01 but your belief system, your thoughts can control 00:28:01.04\00:28:03.85 and determine your emotions 00:28:03.88\00:28:05.41 because your feelings follow your focus, 00:28:05.45\00:28:07.72 we're trying to help people shift their thought pattern. 00:28:08.05\00:28:10.29 Literally, her face looked so cold in the class. 00:28:10.52\00:28:12.82 But what I didn't realize, as she got up closer to me 00:28:13.19\00:28:15.76 and talked to me afterward, she was crying. 00:28:15.79\00:28:18.03 She said, "You are the one who had the word for me." 00:28:18.06\00:28:20.03 She said, "I don't have to die. 00:28:20.06\00:28:21.40 Satan is trying to destroy me. 00:28:21.83\00:28:23.16 Wait a minute, I need to be here for my children." 00:28:23.20\00:28:25.37 And it was like a light went on. 00:28:25.57\00:28:28.47 And for us, it's like simple knowledge. 00:28:28.57\00:28:30.17 Like, "Of course." You know. 00:28:30.21\00:28:31.87 But for them, it's life-saving. 00:28:31.91\00:28:34.04 And we can never diminish what a person is going through 00:28:34.24\00:28:36.64 even though it may seem trivial to us. 00:28:36.68\00:28:38.68 It's huge for another person. 00:28:38.88\00:28:40.72 But just a shift of mindset makes a huge difference. 00:28:40.82\00:28:44.09 So I think this story here really reiterates and focuses on 00:28:44.12\00:28:49.06 the spiritual nature of this work. 00:28:49.26\00:28:51.46 Because it takes an all seeing God to be able to 00:28:51.86\00:28:54.90 connect those dots. 00:28:54.93\00:28:56.26 A mother who says a word, a chaplain who uses the 00:28:56.70\00:29:00.17 same phrase, and makes the connection through one of our 00:29:00.20\00:29:05.41 lecturers, and all of a sudden a soul is reached 00:29:05.44\00:29:08.58 and a life is saved. 00:29:08.61\00:29:09.94 That can only be God. 00:29:10.21\00:29:11.55 ~ Do you guys have more testimonies, something we can... 00:29:11.75\00:29:13.82 ~ We do, we do. 00:29:13.85\00:29:15.18 Especially from a health aspect, we do. 00:29:15.22\00:29:17.62 ~ Okay, so let's take a look at that. 00:29:17.65\00:29:19.62 My name is Gloria Dorsey, and I'm from suburban Maryland 00:29:20.22\00:29:23.49 about a mile from Washington, DC. 00:29:23.53\00:29:25.73 Well, the reason I came to Wildwood was because I had 00:29:26.16\00:29:29.76 some symptoms and things going on that 00:29:29.80\00:29:34.04 comes sometimes with aging. 00:29:34.07\00:29:36.07 High blood pressure, high cholesterol, metabolic syndrome. 00:29:36.10\00:29:39.61 But more than that, I found tumors on my kidneys. 00:29:40.08\00:29:44.58 And I had two procedures that were not successful 00:29:44.68\00:29:49.28 in reducing them significantly. 00:29:49.32\00:29:51.29 My name is Genevieve Washington, 00:29:51.32\00:29:52.89 and I live in Delaware, Wilmington, Delaware. 00:29:53.39\00:29:56.59 In the last few years I've had some challenges. 00:29:57.93\00:30:00.36 I found out that I had bone on bone with my knee. 00:30:00.83\00:30:06.87 And then I've had asthma for quite a number of years, 00:30:07.37\00:30:10.27 but it has progressed over the years. 00:30:10.64\00:30:13.81 And it was pretty bad. 00:30:14.54\00:30:16.64 And I gained weight. 00:30:16.68\00:30:18.95 I think that even made it worse. 00:30:19.05\00:30:21.45 My name is Linda Richards. 00:30:21.48\00:30:23.52 I'm a U.S. Virgin Islander from the island of St. Thomas, 00:30:23.55\00:30:27.99 now living in Huntsville, Alabama. 00:30:28.39\00:30:30.73 I'm over 30 years diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure. 00:30:30.76\00:30:37.50 Twelve years ago I had a stroke. 00:30:38.40\00:30:41.14 And since then, other conditions. 00:30:41.80\00:30:45.07 And over time now, you know, the body deteriorates 00:30:45.47\00:30:51.41 and I know I've been in need of extra help. 00:30:51.45\00:30:56.35 ~ Well, I fell in love the moment I walked 00:30:56.45\00:30:58.05 onto the grounds actually. 00:30:58.09\00:31:00.42 The very first person who met me at my car was pleasant. 00:31:00.46\00:31:04.83 And then it was just wonderful. 00:31:05.23\00:31:07.66 Every interaction since then with the staff, 00:31:07.96\00:31:11.23 with the programming, with the food, the grounds are lovely. 00:31:11.27\00:31:15.70 I think it's a very comprehensive program, 00:31:16.60\00:31:18.57 and well thought out. 00:31:18.61\00:31:19.94 It was one of the best decisions I've made in my life to come. 00:31:19.97\00:31:24.15 Taking the hydrotherapy, it really helped my knee. 00:31:24.31\00:31:28.85 It really improved. 00:31:29.25\00:31:30.99 And I really don't have back pain. 00:31:31.02\00:31:33.05 From the knee, I had back pain. 00:31:33.66\00:31:35.96 I don't have that with taking the hydrotherapy every day. 00:31:35.99\00:31:39.29 And with my high blood pressure, I've lessened my medication. 00:31:39.59\00:31:44.43 I'm looking forward to perhaps lowing my medication. 00:31:44.87\00:31:49.27 And I think that probably I will be able 00:31:49.47\00:31:54.38 to get rid of my medication. 00:31:54.41\00:31:56.24 Three of the medications that I was taking, 00:31:56.91\00:31:59.51 actually two for diabetes and one for cholesterol, 00:31:59.55\00:32:05.49 those have been eliminated. 00:32:05.85\00:32:08.06 And I'm just using slow-acting insulin. 00:32:08.16\00:32:13.60 But I've lost weight. 00:32:14.16\00:32:15.73 The food program is excellent. 00:32:17.53\00:32:20.74 And I see that it's necessary and it's well received. 00:32:21.14\00:32:26.98 It's very good. 00:32:27.08\00:32:28.54 Well, I'm a stats person. 00:32:29.11\00:32:30.71 In nine days my blood pressure medicine was actually reduced. 00:32:30.75\00:32:36.08 In twenty days my cholesterol was down 20 points. 00:32:36.45\00:32:40.39 I'm an inch smaller in the bmi measurement. 00:32:40.89\00:32:44.76 So I would say I've had a very successful time here. 00:32:44.79\00:32:48.96 At Wildwood, in taking care of those and getting back to 00:32:49.16\00:32:53.74 the eight laws of health, I think it has really 00:32:53.77\00:32:59.01 helped me to be able to cope with my conditions that I have. 00:32:59.04\00:33:04.05 And I'm okay now. I'm okay. 00:33:04.08\00:33:08.18 And with the walking and going to bed, getting my rest, 00:33:08.22\00:33:13.79 getting my rest, really, that helped. 00:33:13.82\00:33:17.16 I'm ready now to go out and traipse the world. 00:33:18.46\00:33:22.33 Powerful testimonies. 00:33:35.64\00:33:37.58 They all were just very good testimonies. 00:33:37.61\00:33:39.75 You know, we always remember a place by how good the food was 00:33:39.78\00:33:42.15 or what the food was like, and I think that was really powerful 00:33:42.18\00:33:44.35 that she said your food is excellent. 00:33:44.39\00:33:45.89 Even though it's therapeutic, right? 00:33:46.96\00:33:48.62 You're feeding them food that's going to... 00:33:48.66\00:33:51.03 Total plant-based food. 00:33:51.06\00:33:52.93 Nothing, no meat analogs. 00:33:52.96\00:33:54.76 Everything is made from scratch. 00:33:54.80\00:33:56.53 ~ Alright, so how do you guys get out into your local 00:33:56.56\00:33:58.80 community or into the community? 00:33:58.83\00:34:00.17 Like, do you have any ties or connections or programs 00:34:00.20\00:34:04.14 that you're doing there in that vein? 00:34:04.17\00:34:06.34 ~ We do. So we had a former lifestyle guest. 00:34:06.37\00:34:10.21 Actually, his parents came to Wildwood years back. 00:34:10.25\00:34:12.71 And because of the change that, I guess, happened in 00:34:13.05\00:34:15.82 their life, he and his wife decided to start a 00:34:15.85\00:34:19.32 medical training facility in Chattanooga. 00:34:19.35\00:34:21.76 And so, he's come and partnered with Wildwood. 00:34:21.86\00:34:24.83 Like, "I want to give back. What do you all need?" 00:34:24.86\00:34:26.63 And so, at the time we needed phlebotomists. 00:34:26.83\00:34:29.26 So he was, like, "I can train your people. 00:34:29.30\00:34:30.87 You just come. You tell me what you need." 00:34:30.90\00:34:33.10 And then he had his own health issues, 00:34:33.20\00:34:35.20 and he just came last year. 00:34:35.24\00:34:36.77 He was like, "This is amazing. Anyone else need help?" 00:34:37.47\00:34:40.78 And we were like, "Well, we do have a school. 00:34:40.81\00:34:42.54 And we have some other programs we're trying to start." 00:34:42.74\00:34:45.28 So that's one of the ways we're partnering out. 00:34:45.51\00:34:49.12 Our health emphasis weekend, we usually go out to churches. 00:34:49.15\00:34:52.15 But this time we tried to reach organizations. 00:34:52.25\00:34:54.79 So this year for the past couple of weeks, even months, 00:34:54.82\00:34:57.79 we've been working with the YMCA, 00:34:57.83\00:34:59.69 doing classes at the YMCA downtown. 00:34:59.73\00:35:02.30 And we have our Better Living Center. 00:35:03.20\00:35:04.93 ~ Downtown Chattanooga? ~ Downtown Chattanooga. 00:35:04.97\00:35:06.84 - Really? ~ Yes. 00:35:06.87\00:35:08.20 So you go into the YMCA and you give classes there. 00:35:08.24\00:35:10.11 ~ Yes, even in Hixson Tennessee as well. 00:35:10.21\00:35:12.41 So in our Better Living Center we just built, 00:35:12.77\00:35:16.34 a nice center for people to be able to come, 00:35:17.08\00:35:19.01 and we have our restaurant there. 00:35:19.21\00:35:21.12 So, come. 00:35:21.38\00:35:23.08 ~ You have a restaurant? - Yes. 00:35:23.12\00:35:24.45 So, public access? 00:35:24.49\00:35:25.82 People can come to the restaurant and eat 00:35:25.85\00:35:27.19 good wholesome vegetarian food. 00:35:27.22\00:35:30.06 ~ Yes. - Really? 00:35:30.09\00:35:31.43 It's good when we see the recurring people 00:35:31.46\00:35:33.29 bring more people. 00:35:33.33\00:35:34.66 ~ Cooking classes, too - We have cooking classes. 00:35:34.70\00:35:36.63 We have gardening classes. We've done health expos. 00:35:36.67\00:35:39.67 Dinner with the doctor. 00:35:39.97\00:35:41.44 It's something to be able to reach people in need. 00:35:41.80\00:35:44.34 We've gone out to the community. 00:35:44.37\00:35:45.71 So a lot of times we're trying to invite people to learn 00:35:45.74\00:35:49.21 how to be empowered and to empower others. 00:35:49.24\00:35:51.48 ~ Okay. - You know. 00:35:51.51\00:35:52.85 That has been such a theme that I've heard you communicating. 00:35:52.88\00:35:54.95 And I absolutely love it. 00:35:54.98\00:35:56.32 The idea of empowering the individual 00:35:56.35\00:36:00.36 to understand, you don't have to be just reliant on, 00:36:00.46\00:36:03.59 you know, an organization or a system that's sometimes very 00:36:04.09\00:36:07.46 difficult or challenging to get into, or you have to wait 00:36:07.50\00:36:09.70 for so long, and yet you're sick. 00:36:09.73\00:36:11.13 Well, what can you do for yourself at home? 00:36:11.17\00:36:13.03 And just that education. 00:36:13.13\00:36:14.87 I also really liked the topics that you said you teach 00:36:15.17\00:36:18.57 at the school, and I'm curious, can other people who don't 00:36:18.61\00:36:22.14 go to school somehow access your classes? 00:36:22.18\00:36:23.81 I noticed that there was online. 00:36:23.85\00:36:25.85 ~ There was. There is. 00:36:25.88\00:36:27.22 So we do have our six month and one year. 00:36:27.25\00:36:30.75 And then there is an online for the six-month course 00:36:30.79\00:36:34.32 which you can take, I think, you have up to a year to finish it. 00:36:34.36\00:36:37.06 And added too, I think we also have for the Spanish course. 00:36:37.93\00:36:43.83 Right? We have an online Spanish course as well. 00:36:43.87\00:36:46.10 ~ But then, online as well we've taken our programs 00:36:47.60\00:36:51.84 online with a virtual lifestyle program. 00:36:51.87\00:36:54.91 So that's part of the extension, the expansion, 00:36:54.94\00:36:57.35 that we're trying to do there. 00:36:57.38\00:36:58.71 Many people cannot come to our lifestyle programs. 00:36:58.75\00:37:00.65 And so, we've had our online diabetes program 00:37:00.92\00:37:04.49 where they meet with our endocrinologist. 00:37:04.79\00:37:06.39 We have life alignment. 00:37:06.42\00:37:08.16 Because our programs are life alignment, our disease reversal, 00:37:08.19\00:37:11.63 and mental health. 00:37:11.73\00:37:13.06 So, we have at least the life alignment and disease reversal. 00:37:13.09\00:37:17.43 And if we have the possibility, 00:37:17.93\00:37:19.60 to have the mental health as well. 00:37:19.63\00:37:21.34 We have those online virtual. 00:37:22.04\00:37:23.67 People can actually be live with us in our classes. 00:37:23.71\00:37:26.57 We'll see them on screen, we can talk to them, 00:37:26.61\00:37:28.71 and they can talk back to us and interact in class. 00:37:28.74\00:37:30.98 We send food home to them with the recipes 00:37:31.21\00:37:33.68 so they can be eating what we're eating, you know, here. 00:37:33.78\00:37:36.35 ~ How do you send food home to them? 00:37:36.38\00:37:37.72 ~ So we have packed food for them. 00:37:37.75\00:37:39.65 So we give them a list of some things fresh that they have to 00:37:39.69\00:37:42.09 buy themselves, but other things, seasonings, all of that. 00:37:42.12\00:37:46.76 ~ It's all supplementing what they get fresh. 00:37:46.80\00:37:48.56 ~ Exactly, exactly. ~ Fantastic. 00:37:48.60\00:37:50.33 - So we send the... ~ The herbs as well. 00:37:50.37\00:37:51.93 The herbs, yeah. The water bottle, the pedometer. 00:37:51.97\00:37:54.57 Getting them out walking. 00:37:54.60\00:37:55.94 I hope our viewers are listening to all this. 00:37:55.97\00:37:57.47 This is really good. 00:37:57.51\00:37:59.01 Yeah, so we really want them to feel that 00:37:59.04\00:38:01.91 they're not, again, alone. 00:38:02.34\00:38:04.15 We're in this together. 00:38:04.18\00:38:05.61 So are part of the expansion, if possible, which is where we 00:38:06.41\00:38:10.09 talked about the CNA aspect, and we have a video later on 00:38:10.12\00:38:13.15 for that, we want to be able to train people 00:38:13.19\00:38:16.36 to be able to go into people's homes. 00:38:16.39\00:38:17.73 So again, if you cannot come, and the virtual is just not 00:38:17.76\00:38:20.76 enough to take that knowledge on your own, 00:38:20.80\00:38:22.60 we'll come to you and do a lifestyle program with you. 00:38:22.63\00:38:25.00 We'll come to you and teach you what to do in your home. 00:38:25.03\00:38:27.44 And if you are coming to our program, but then you're like, 00:38:27.47\00:38:31.07 "How do I acclimate this into my home, into my life?" 00:38:31.11\00:38:33.91 we'll come to you and spend time with you 00:38:33.94\00:38:36.28 so you can know how to do that. 00:38:36.31\00:38:37.78 So we're developing an in-home service department 00:38:37.81\00:38:41.08 so we can send people out for that. 00:38:41.18\00:38:43.22 So that's one of the expansions, some of the visions 00:38:43.25\00:38:45.29 of adding on to what the mission and vision is at Wildwood. 00:38:45.32\00:38:49.09 ~ I love that. 00:38:49.19\00:38:50.53 So you're actually going to have people like a little team 00:38:50.56\00:38:53.50 that will go to a location for a certain amount of time, 00:38:53.70\00:38:56.87 whether it's a home or maybe an institution, or whatever, 00:38:56.90\00:38:59.83 and train a group of people who may not be able to come 00:38:59.87\00:39:03.41 to the center itself and get that training. 00:39:03.44\00:39:05.47 ~ And we kind of already do that now with our students 00:39:05.51\00:39:07.61 going out and teaching people in churches or if we have to 00:39:07.64\00:39:10.68 teach institutions. 00:39:10.71\00:39:12.05 We also do that with our health emphasis weekends. 00:39:12.08\00:39:14.45 It's not just for churches, we deal with businesses as well. 00:39:14.48\00:39:17.42 But it's more so for the individual, you know, 00:39:17.72\00:39:20.49 in their homes and spending time with them, 00:39:20.52\00:39:22.82 with their time management, their stress management, 00:39:22.86\00:39:25.13 how to grocery shop, how to clean their home 00:39:25.16\00:39:27.63 so they don't have clutter that messes with their minds. 00:39:27.66\00:39:29.80 How to even garden, if need be. 00:39:29.83\00:39:31.70 That's so perfect. 00:39:31.80\00:39:33.23 I've heard of a few doctors, medical doctors who did that. 00:39:33.27\00:39:35.34 They shop with their patients, they're doing all that. 00:39:35.37\00:39:37.47 So what other developments do you have? 00:39:37.77\00:39:39.51 Anything else that you're developing for the future 00:39:39.54\00:39:41.81 as far as Wildwood goes? 00:39:41.84\00:39:43.31 ~ I think the focus, you know, being through strategic 00:39:45.31\00:39:50.02 plans with our board, focusing on what do we do best. 00:39:50.05\00:39:55.52 And where do we get the most results. 00:39:55.56\00:39:57.43 And it's the focus on diabetes. 00:39:57.46\00:39:59.53 So through all of our programs now we've got this diabetes 00:39:59.93\00:40:04.40 thread, like, in our school we're teaching specific 00:40:04.43\00:40:09.50 classes on diabetes. 00:40:09.54\00:40:10.87 In our lifestyle center we're taking and focusing 00:40:10.91\00:40:13.58 on diabetes patients with an endocrinologist. 00:40:13.61\00:40:17.25 And we also do still the other diseases as well. 00:40:18.55\00:40:21.82 But even our store has a focus on, you know, 00:40:21.85\00:40:24.95 these are the foods that you need if you 00:40:24.99\00:40:27.79 are suffering from diabetes. 00:40:27.82\00:40:29.16 These are the whole foods that you need. 00:40:29.32\00:40:31.09 And so, those are identified for our shoppers in the community. 00:40:31.69\00:40:36.67 And we're going to be looking at a book. 00:40:36.70\00:40:39.63 Yeah, we have our diabetic tea. So we do have that. 00:40:39.67\00:40:42.90 So supplements also for that. 00:40:42.94\00:40:44.47 We're having a medical seminar coming up soon. 00:40:44.51\00:40:47.68 So we can be able to help. 00:40:47.71\00:40:49.04 In May we're having our physicians come 00:40:49.08\00:40:51.21 and we'll be able to talk about reversing or helping 00:40:51.25\00:40:54.15 type 2 diabetes and its complications. 00:40:54.18\00:40:56.69 So there's so much that we're trying to expand on even more. 00:40:56.89\00:41:00.92 Our school is trying to now, for the advance course, 00:41:00.96\00:41:04.83 train students to be medical assistants and partnership 00:41:04.86\00:41:08.66 with that same gentleman in Chattanooga. 00:41:08.70\00:41:10.67 So yeah, we've got a lot going on. 00:41:11.77\00:41:13.84 If someone has diabetes and they're watching this program, 00:41:14.17\00:41:16.60 and they're like, "Yeah, I'd really like to access 00:41:16.64\00:41:18.51 the information or knowledge. 00:41:18.54\00:41:19.97 And I want my diabetes to improve." 00:41:20.01\00:41:21.88 they could come to actually become a guest or a patient 00:41:22.04\00:41:26.01 at your facility. 00:41:26.05\00:41:27.45 But then they could also access some of these things online. 00:41:27.48\00:41:31.59 ~ Yeah, so we have the online diabetes program. 00:41:32.32\00:41:36.16 We have the outpatient clinic where you can actually 00:41:36.19\00:41:38.26 work with our endocrinologist. 00:41:38.29\00:41:39.63 Or you can come into the lifestyle program itself. 00:41:39.66\00:41:42.03 As we're developing our CNA course, we're combining 00:41:42.36\00:41:46.30 lifestyle medicine and the CNA training 00:41:46.50\00:41:48.94 so we can be able to send someone into your home. 00:41:48.97\00:41:50.74 ~ Okay. 00:41:50.77\00:41:52.11 We actually, one of the other things I forgot to mention, 00:41:52.37\00:41:55.18 is opening up and expanding more and more 00:41:55.21\00:41:58.05 working with Conferences. 00:41:58.08\00:41:59.48 You know, we're trying to help pastors. 00:41:59.68\00:42:01.68 We see that there's, like the spirit of prophecy speaks 00:42:02.48\00:42:06.45 about our pastors should also, be medical missionaries. 00:42:06.49\00:42:08.79 ~ I can appreciate that. - Right. 00:42:08.82\00:42:10.16 So we've been having a lot of Conference, leaders come. 00:42:10.19\00:42:13.70 So we even have a testimony release of one of those. 00:42:13.73\00:42:16.03 ~ Okay, let's look at that. 00:42:16.06\00:42:17.40 My blood sugar numbers were high. 00:42:18.13\00:42:20.57 And they consistently kept climbing higher. 00:42:20.60\00:42:23.81 And my A1C numbers kept climbing higher. 00:42:23.91\00:42:26.21 And I thought I've got to get better control of this. 00:42:26.24\00:42:28.64 My name is Pastor Leslie Louis. 00:42:29.88\00:42:32.11 I am the president of the Carolina Conference 00:42:32.48\00:42:34.95 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:42:34.98\00:42:36.72 I prefer really using the title, a servant leader for the 00:42:37.42\00:42:41.06 Lord Jesus Christ. 00:42:41.09\00:42:42.49 And I have been in this capacity for the past eight years. 00:42:42.69\00:42:46.96 I decided to come to Wildwood, to be perfectly honest 00:42:48.33\00:42:51.23 with you, because my wife talked me into it. 00:42:51.27\00:42:53.40 I primarily came here because I was having 00:42:53.70\00:42:56.64 a challenge with my diabetes type 2. 00:42:56.67\00:43:00.01 The other thing is that my weight always 00:43:00.48\00:43:03.11 seemed to stay at the same level. 00:43:03.14\00:43:04.55 I could never seem to lose any weight. 00:43:04.58\00:43:06.98 And it was my goal to lose down to 190 pounds. 00:43:07.18\00:43:13.59 I've exceeded the goal that I had, in terms of being 00:43:13.86\00:43:18.06 able to reduce my weight below what I had hoped to. 00:43:18.09\00:43:22.00 And I've also been able to get tremendous control 00:43:22.20\00:43:25.10 over my blood sugar levels. 00:43:25.13\00:43:26.90 And I'm so thankful for that. 00:43:26.94\00:43:29.10 Probably the best moments of this have been 00:43:29.64\00:43:32.94 what we call the walk that we have right after each meal. 00:43:33.71\00:43:40.48 And that walk has helped me, not only in terms of utilizing 00:43:40.68\00:43:47.46 metabolism that I'd like to to facilitate in terms of 00:43:47.66\00:43:51.63 digestion, but it has also given me an opportunity to spend 00:43:51.93\00:43:56.73 more time with my wife. 00:43:56.77\00:43:58.10 And it's been great. 00:43:58.13\00:44:00.17 It's been some of the best moments that I've had 00:44:00.54\00:44:03.54 to be able to just take time with my wife on those walks. 00:44:03.57\00:44:07.01 I definitely would recommend Wildwood 00:44:07.48\00:44:09.41 to those who are wanting kind of a reset in their lifestyle. 00:44:10.41\00:44:15.15 And they help you. 00:44:15.18\00:44:16.62 They give you guidance, they give you principles, 00:44:16.72\00:44:18.82 they give you wonderful recipes. 00:44:18.85\00:44:21.09 So I would definitely recommend the experience. 00:44:21.12\00:44:24.79 The experience has been a wonderful 00:44:24.83\00:44:26.66 and a memorable time for me while I've been here. 00:44:26.70\00:44:30.00 - That was powerful. - That was. 00:44:38.14\00:44:39.77 You know, one of the things, one of the questions I have, 00:44:39.81\00:44:42.04 so my wife works as a registered dietitian and nutritionist. 00:44:42.08\00:44:44.88 And she's got her masters in functional medicine. 00:44:44.91\00:44:47.35 She hates for me to say that, but anyway. 00:44:47.38\00:44:49.32 And I hear her on the phone, because she works from 00:44:49.65\00:44:51.49 home a lot, or when we're here she works a couple of days, 00:44:51.52\00:44:54.12 and I hear her on the phone talking to patients. 00:44:54.16\00:44:55.72 And, you know, some patients she asks, "Are you Christian? 00:44:56.16\00:44:59.49 Would you like to pray?" 00:44:59.53\00:45:00.86 How do you transition into that spiritual, 00:45:00.93\00:45:04.23 the area of spirituality with patients? 00:45:04.27\00:45:07.14 Maybe people aren't necessarily open to that, or whatever. 00:45:07.17\00:45:10.11 And I think that's like we said earlier, that's the main goal. 00:45:10.14\00:45:12.54 Christ ministered to people's physical needs 00:45:12.64\00:45:15.04 then drew them to the gospel. 00:45:15.08\00:45:16.61 ~ Well, He's the healer, you know? 00:45:16.64\00:45:18.55 It's His work. 00:45:18.58\00:45:19.91 ~ Well, I will admit this. 00:45:19.95\00:45:21.35 I mean, we've had at least one or two, and no more than that 00:45:21.55\00:45:25.82 that I can remember, 00:45:25.85\00:45:27.19 that literally have left and walked out. 00:45:27.22\00:45:28.62 And their answers were, literally, their answer was, 00:45:28.92\00:45:31.19 "They pray too much." 00:45:31.23\00:45:32.63 And they left. 00:45:33.06\00:45:34.40 And so, I think one of the issues is when people expect 00:45:34.43\00:45:39.23 a Christian environment, to not be Christian 00:45:39.33\00:45:41.80 it can be a difficulty. 00:45:41.84\00:45:43.17 In our world, it's like we know, we're not trying to push 00:45:43.20\00:45:47.18 Christianity on you, but it's hard to not be yourself. 00:45:47.21\00:45:51.21 I appreciate my staff for not having to tell them, 00:45:51.48\00:45:55.22 "Hey, make sure you're smiling. 00:45:55.25\00:45:56.58 Make sure you're talking to the people in Christ." 00:45:56.62\00:45:58.45 It really is just basically, we believe in the work. 00:45:58.65\00:46:01.79 You know, we have all been transformed. 00:46:01.99\00:46:03.59 I went through the school, you know. 00:46:03.63\00:46:05.13 I've had my own health issues. 00:46:05.16\00:46:07.63 I was atheist and became a Christian. 00:46:07.66\00:46:09.83 So it's almost within you to want to share exactly what 00:46:09.86\00:46:13.57 you know and how you feel in the belief about God. 00:46:13.60\00:46:16.10 So, I think that it's imperative that we never teach... 00:46:16.54\00:46:21.81 We don't want to Bible beat, but I think it's scary to teach 00:46:21.84\00:46:26.45 something as powerful as how your body heals, 00:46:26.48\00:46:29.78 how your mind functions, and how it affects the body, 00:46:29.98\00:46:32.39 and leaving out God. 00:46:32.59\00:46:33.92 We are very intentional. 00:46:34.36\00:46:35.96 Again, we have a multitude of different belief systems that 00:46:35.99\00:46:39.43 come to us, even Hindu or Buddhist. 00:46:39.46\00:46:42.03 And we're fine with that. 00:46:42.23\00:46:43.57 And so, we don't try to push... 00:46:43.60\00:46:46.17 ~ Christianity on them? 00:46:47.07\00:46:48.40 - Right. - Okay. 00:46:48.44\00:46:49.77 ~ But we give them an understanding of principles 00:46:49.80\00:46:53.41 that we as an institution take from the Word of God. 00:46:53.44\00:46:56.61 And so, we've had many understand that, you know. 00:46:56.81\00:46:59.78 And they can accept that. 00:46:59.81\00:47:01.15 That again, your feelings follow your focus. Right? 00:47:01.18\00:47:03.65 By beholding you become changed. 00:47:04.22\00:47:05.55 If you keep beholding negativity, 00:47:05.59\00:47:07.26 if you keep beholding the negatives or the drama 00:47:07.46\00:47:10.23 that you're having in your life, 00:47:10.26\00:47:11.59 you're just really reproducing that. 00:47:11.63\00:47:13.13 But if you can try to behold something positive, 00:47:13.33\00:47:15.63 if you don't want it to be the Bible, then still, 00:47:15.66\00:47:17.73 look at positive things within your life. 00:47:18.00\00:47:19.80 At least they can take away principles. 00:47:20.40\00:47:22.60 But our principles are pretty much steeped in the Word of God. 00:47:22.80\00:47:26.17 Like I teach my mental health class 00:47:26.21\00:47:27.61 from the Sanctuary message. 00:47:27.64\00:47:28.98 To bring out, again, the principles 00:47:29.01\00:47:30.81 just from the different articles of furniture. 00:47:30.85\00:47:32.75 ~ I love that. - Yeah. 00:47:32.78\00:47:34.12 ~ But I think it's important to also recognize, 00:47:34.18\00:47:36.99 and like we said, we're intentional about it, 00:47:37.02\00:47:39.55 but without Christ there's no healing. 00:47:39.92\00:47:42.69 And so, weaved all through from the beginning of 00:47:43.22\00:47:47.70 this work, and we find this in the spirit of prophecy, 00:47:47.73\00:47:50.03 you go all the way back to where Elder Tindall 00:47:50.07\00:47:53.34 started to work with the Conferences to bring in the 00:47:53.64\00:48:01.04 health work into the evangelistic work. 00:48:01.08\00:48:03.24 And from Elder Tindall it went to Frazee 00:48:03.55\00:48:07.15 who also worked under him. 00:48:07.18\00:48:08.68 And from there it was brought into Madison who started as the 00:48:08.92\00:48:14.29 first self-supporting ministry with hospitals, sanitariums, 00:48:14.32\00:48:19.69 and then moved on to Wildwood. 00:48:19.73\00:48:21.66 But we see the intentionality that God has brought about this 00:48:21.70\00:48:26.63 sanitarium work specifically to prepare a people to meet Him, 00:48:26.67\00:48:33.78 and specifically to protect the people. 00:48:33.81\00:48:36.41 There's so many false healing systems out there today, 00:48:36.44\00:48:40.48 and we cannot go around like the disciples went 00:48:40.52\00:48:44.49 healing for a reason. 00:48:44.69\00:48:46.86 Because it's because of these false healing systems. 00:48:46.89\00:48:49.59 And so, the Lord ordained sanitarium work 00:48:49.89\00:48:52.76 to come in to protect people, and through natural remedies, 00:48:52.79\00:48:58.77 the eight laws of health, teaching people to 00:48:59.33\00:49:03.10 align themselves with natural law so that they 00:49:03.14\00:49:06.61 can align themselves with spiritual and focus on God. 00:49:06.64\00:49:10.88 And so, it has to be a part. 00:49:10.91\00:49:13.82 So, we don't make excuses for it. 00:49:13.85\00:49:15.98 We don't specifically teach doctrines in our lifestyle 00:49:16.32\00:49:20.16 center unless people ask, but the spirituality is there. 00:49:20.19\00:49:23.69 There is so much history and so much you could unwrap there. 00:49:23.73\00:49:27.33 I know we don't have a lot of time. 00:49:27.36\00:49:28.86 We've just got a couple of minutes left. 00:49:28.90\00:49:30.33 So just moving into, we're going to share with people 00:49:30.57\00:49:33.84 how they can get hold of you and contact information, 00:49:33.87\00:49:35.57 but moving into that, you know, if people want to come to 00:49:35.60\00:49:39.17 Wildwood, if they want to partake of some of these 00:49:39.21\00:49:41.78 programs, what do they need to do? 00:49:41.81\00:49:43.28 ~ They pretty much just call us up. 00:49:43.31\00:49:44.98 Call us up, we'll have the information. 00:49:45.01\00:49:47.08 That will be there when the program ends, 00:49:47.38\00:49:49.65 but call us up, ask for our guest services department. 00:49:49.68\00:49:52.49 They will talk to you, 00:49:52.52\00:49:53.86 they will give you all the information you need. 00:49:53.89\00:49:55.76 The biggest one that everyone usually comes to 00:49:56.49\00:49:58.89 is our disease reversal program. 00:49:58.93\00:50:02.26 When we're in house we always say, medical program. 00:50:02.30\00:50:04.17 But it's the disease reversal program. 00:50:04.50\00:50:06.84 And that starts at $4,200. 00:50:07.14\00:50:09.10 And we have the other ones: our life alignment, 00:50:09.14\00:50:11.41 and our mental health, and our online ones, 00:50:11.44\00:50:13.84 where there's different prices for that. 00:50:13.88\00:50:15.24 And they can give you all that information. 00:50:15.28\00:50:17.01 ~ Okay, so let's just take that one for example. 00:50:17.05\00:50:18.65 The most popular one for $4,200. 00:50:18.68\00:50:22.12 For two days? Two weeks? 00:50:22.15\00:50:24.32 ~ That's eleven days. 00:50:24.35\00:50:25.69 - Eleven days. ~ Eleven days. Okay. 00:50:25.72\00:50:27.16 ~ And does that include accommodations? 00:50:27.19\00:50:28.69 ~ Oh yeah. Everything. - Do they need to bring... 00:50:28.72\00:50:30.16 ~ No, nothing. - No. 00:50:30.19\00:50:31.53 Just bring you and hopefully the belief that, 00:50:31.56\00:50:35.13 that you have hope that there can be change. 00:50:35.16\00:50:38.17 ~ And does insurance help cover any of this? 00:50:38.20\00:50:40.07 ~ It will help. ~ Partial, yeah. 00:50:40.10\00:50:42.54 ~ So the medical aspect, because we do have our clinics, 00:50:42.57\00:50:44.94 so we have our lab, we draw the blood there, 00:50:44.97\00:50:47.68 we have doctor's appointments with the endocrinologists, 00:50:47.71\00:50:51.55 any of those, yes, it will cover. 00:50:51.58\00:50:53.88 And some of the hydrotherapy treatments, 00:50:53.92\00:50:55.72 because the world does have some codes for that as well. 00:50:55.75\00:50:58.62 ~ Good, good. Alright. 00:50:58.65\00:50:59.99 So you get some insurance help. 00:51:00.02\00:51:02.06 You've got an eleven day program that's the most popular, 00:51:02.59\00:51:04.89 and you've got other programs that you can find out about. 00:51:04.93\00:51:06.70 Let's put your information up so that people can 00:51:06.73\00:51:08.46 know how to contact you and get more information 00:51:08.50\00:51:11.03 about these programs. 00:51:11.07\00:51:12.40 If you would like to contact or know more about 00:51:13.70\00:51:16.17 Wildwood Health Institute... 00:51:16.20\00:51:17.81
