right after birth. He was placed

a graveyard in a shallow grave.

He was there for about 12
hours, the estimated time.

A shepherd was walking through
the graveyard where he was

buried and heard the
wails coming from the ground.

exactly where it was.

A lady came to help him,
and the soon found it was under

they found him in a gunny sack

where the sun was beginning to
melt the plastic bag to his face

placenta was still on him. He
was about 12 hours old. Took him

of many children, that's been

rescued. There's more orphans
in the country of Tanzania than

the population of Houston,
Texas proper by itself. There's

million orphans in the country

given to us that had burns all

abandoned to a stranger and the

stranger didn't want them so he
threw boiling water on them. We

have children that were thrown
in toilets. We have three girls

that were in the process of
being sold to either be a wife

or a prostitute. And so we have
many, many stories. It's hard

can't understand what it's like.

to have a baby their infertility

really an orphanage for children

need was in the Karatu area

percentage of abandoned children

and we've been designated as
the number one orphanage in the

reason why is because we have

family settings. We have eight
homes here and we have "Mamas"

in each one of the homes to take
care of the children, just like

their mother. Make sure they are

here to try to rescue as many as

feed them, to clothe them, to

educate them, to give them a
chance, to give them hope. If

and we want to give them the

children. They've had a very

you go there you don't sense

of healing for these children.

One of the things that inspired

they've taught the girls how to

of traffic with large truckers

and export. As we began to

a very vulnerable population in

vulnerable group that we

discovered was teenage girls.
Often, the responsibility and

the burden to take care of their
elderly grandparents or their

younger siblings rests upon
these ladies at a very young age

Because basic needs are barely
met education is not a priority

and these girls have some very
difficult decisions to make.
