to some roving parents.

We used to move
all over the place.

And when we got up
to school age that was,

became pretty tough

because you just
learned to meet folks,

other kids and then
it's time to move again.

What did your folks do?
What was their business?

Most of the time
dad drove a truck.

And he was gone a lot

and my childhood wasn't really

she had to raise seven kids,

and just go in
about every direction.

And I love driving cows,

horses and things like that.

But that eventually
kind of evolved into rodeos.

Me and my brothers,

we used to ride broncs and bulls

every weekend at the rodeos

and some rodeos,

my mom was the
rodeos' secretary.

So we were for
sure to get on the books

but as we were
going to these rodeos,

we started kind of
learning the new vices of,

and drinking

and eventually started smoking
and then the worst one was,

you know chewing
tobacco and such but...

So how old were you?

when I graduated
from high school,

started my first business then.

I was only 17 years old,
didn't attend college anywhere

but started
selling meat products

to restaurants in Tulsa.

And I would do that every day.

And eventually,
the refrigerated trucks

that I started out with,

you know, like a picket size

evolved into a
little bigger truck

until I was in the
full-fledged trucking business.

And here's the first new truck.

first truck I owned,

two weeks later

And I was running
so hard at that time

that I was going through

town, I fell asleep...

and turn that thing over.

I was in my 20s,

So then how was everything?

talking like in high school

you kind of
started like you said,

chewing tobacco,
some alcohol, some party.

So is that just accelerating or?

That's very much

And anyway, the
trucking business,

you know, I do
know of a few Christians

that are in the
trucking business.

It's a tough
business to be a Christian

and especially a
Sabbath keeping Christian.

But anyway, the
truck started multiplying.

I eventually got up to
six trucks and 12 drivers.

I had teams on them

and they were
running coast to coast.

Did that for about
three or four years.

And one day I was in my office
and I thought I have no life.

workaholic seven days a week

and marriage was struggling.

And anyway, I decided
to shut that business down.

sitting in this little office

that I had probably about

stress just crumbled down.

Well, anyway, my dad was
in the satellite business

And he had a retail
business and a wholesale.

He asked me, said, "What

that I spent driving.

But anyway, when I decided
to shut the business down,

dad asked me if I
wanted to work with him.

And I said, "Sure."

And first of all,

I was, worked in
his retail section of.

You know, it was back
when the big 10 foot dishes,

And not only was I selling them,

but every once in
a while I'd go out

if it's one of my customers,

there used to be like

this customer came in

and they were
trying to witness to me,

and they were talking about

basically they were saying,

The worst part about that,

type of temptation.

joy for divers temptation,

couple of weeks or so.

But then all of a sudden

the most evil and wicked things.

And I was so never was so glad
at the end of that two months

that it finally just quit.

And I could feel that
God was rebuilding me back.
