Absolutely. 00:01:54.34\00:01:55.68 But whenever I saw you today, 00:01:55.71\00:01:58.71 I realized you know, we look a lot alike. 00:01:58.75\00:02:01.62 So, maybe I think that's probably. 00:02:01.65\00:02:03.52 Absolutely. 00:02:03.55\00:02:04.89 I mean we're both tall, dark and handsome. 00:02:04.92\00:02:06.25 They can't tell us apart. 00:02:06.29\00:02:07.62 Right? So... 00:02:07.66\00:02:08.99 So actually, it's kind of a risk 00:02:09.02\00:02:10.36 to even put us on the same screen. 00:02:10.39\00:02:11.73 But we're going to work our way through it. 00:02:11.76\00:02:13.83 I think we'll make it. 00:02:13.86\00:02:15.20 I think you're a wonderful musician. 00:02:15.23\00:02:17.07 I know you are wonderful musician. 00:02:17.10\00:02:19.03 And I haven't had too many opportunities 00:02:19.07\00:02:24.21 to perform with you. 00:02:24.24\00:02:25.57 Just a couple of times. 00:02:25.61\00:02:26.94 But up in Canada, we... 00:02:26.98\00:02:28.31 I believe we performed together. 00:02:28.34\00:02:30.45 And Skype. 00:02:30.48\00:02:31.81 Yes, on Skype. 00:02:31.85\00:02:33.18 That's right. 00:02:33.21\00:02:34.55 Remember, my signal was delayed and you delayed about 30. 00:02:34.58\00:02:37.09 Yes. 00:02:37.12\00:02:38.45 It was unbelievable. Right. 00:02:38.49\00:02:39.82 We had a great time on that. 00:02:39.85\00:02:41.19 If you may remember, 00:02:41.22\00:02:42.69 if you watch Your Favorites by Request, 00:02:42.72\00:02:44.86 Jaime was my guest one time on that. 00:02:44.89\00:02:47.43 And so yeah, we did that. 00:02:47.46\00:02:48.80 I like that. 00:02:48.83\00:02:50.17 Thanks for reminding me. 00:02:50.20\00:02:51.53 I've got a great memory, it's just extremely short. 00:02:51.57\00:02:53.64 Well, I have photographic memory, 00:02:53.67\00:02:55.37 but I keep running out of film. 00:02:55.40\00:02:58.44 Well, I can tell we're not only both talented, 00:02:58.47\00:03:01.44 but we have corny jokes. 00:03:01.48\00:03:02.81 Absolutely. 00:03:02.84\00:03:04.65 So... We make the world go round. 00:03:04.68\00:03:06.18 Yes. 00:03:06.21\00:03:07.55 So, well, we're delighted that you're joining us at home 00:03:07.58\00:03:10.52 and we hope that you just enjoy this time 00:03:10.55\00:03:12.59 to get to know Jaime Jorge better and to get to know 00:03:12.62\00:03:14.76 what's going on in his life and in your ministry. 00:03:14.79\00:03:17.69 So again, we're grateful to God. 00:03:17.73\00:03:19.43 Thank you. Thanks for having me here. 00:03:19.46\00:03:21.10 Absolutely, my privilege, Jaime. 00:03:21.13\00:03:22.86 You have a family now. 00:03:22.90\00:03:26.33 You've got some additions to your family. 00:03:26.37\00:03:30.31 Yes. 00:03:30.34\00:03:31.67 Tell me about you and your wife? 00:03:31.71\00:03:33.44 So Rochelle and I celebrated our eighth year 00:03:33.48\00:03:37.45 of honeymoon in July. 00:03:37.48\00:03:41.02 And we have a beautiful 00:03:41.05\00:03:43.79 four and a half year old daughter. 00:03:43.82\00:03:47.86 She came on the 30th of March of 2017. 00:03:47.89\00:03:50.46 She is a furry daughter. 00:03:50.49\00:03:52.59 Okay. 00:03:52.63\00:03:54.63 And so we spend out, 00:03:54.66\00:03:56.70 spend our time sending each other pictures and videos 00:03:56.73\00:03:59.93 of Aria our puppy. 00:03:59.97\00:04:01.30 You are one those? 00:04:01.34\00:04:02.67 Yes. 00:04:02.70\00:04:04.11 So that's been a blessing though, 00:04:04.14\00:04:05.47 you know for us. 00:04:05.51\00:04:06.84 She keeps her Rochelle company while I'm gone. 00:04:06.88\00:04:08.21 So I didn't see the picture. 00:04:08.24\00:04:09.74 What kind of dog is this? 00:04:09.78\00:04:11.11 She's a mix of Boxer, Pitbull and American Bulldog. 00:04:11.15\00:04:15.08 Look at that stance. 00:04:15.12\00:04:16.45 Quite spoiled. 00:04:16.48\00:04:17.89 Now look at that coat. 00:04:17.92\00:04:20.79 Wow, that's impressive. 00:04:20.82\00:04:24.43 She's quite well taken care of. 00:04:24.46\00:04:26.19 I can tell, that is fun. 00:04:26.23\00:04:29.26 You know, we've gone through a great time, 00:04:29.30\00:04:34.57 maybe great is not the word. 00:04:34.60\00:04:35.94 But 2020, of course, everyone knows pandemic 00:04:35.97\00:04:40.88 and I know a lot of musician, musician friends 00:04:40.91\00:04:44.15 who were definitely impacted by that. 00:04:44.18\00:04:48.22 It stopped a lot of travelling 00:04:48.25\00:04:50.79 and so what did that look like to you? 00:04:50.82\00:04:54.42 Well, honestly, 00:04:54.46\00:04:55.92 it was one of the most difficult periods of my life. 00:04:55.96\00:05:01.50 You know what it's like to be on the road, 00:05:01.53\00:05:03.57 you know what it's like to make music 00:05:03.60\00:05:05.63 because it's what you love to do. 00:05:05.67\00:05:08.07 And so it wasn't just that for the first time in 19 years 00:05:08.10\00:05:13.98 I didn't do 200 concerts, 00:05:14.01\00:05:16.68 it's just that everything stopped. 00:05:16.71\00:05:20.02 And there was no end in sight. 00:05:20.05\00:05:23.15 And it's not just that you have a living to make, 00:05:23.18\00:05:26.32 it's what you love to do. 00:05:26.35\00:05:27.76 It's what you're called to doing. 00:05:27.79\00:05:29.82 And so as time goes by, I just felt, 00:05:29.86\00:05:32.89 you know, like, is this ever really going to end? 00:05:32.93\00:05:36.03 And I am afraid to say it, but I say it 00:05:36.06\00:05:40.34 because I want to encourage people. 00:05:40.37\00:05:42.37 I really struggled with my faith. 00:05:42.40\00:05:45.01 I went to God and said, "Are you still around? 00:05:45.04\00:05:48.31 Are you still here?" 00:05:48.34\00:05:50.08 And I would say that 00:05:50.11\00:05:51.85 of all of the things that I went through, 00:05:51.88\00:05:55.05 the greatest blessing I think for me 00:05:55.08\00:05:57.49 was that God taught me the importance of faith. 00:05:57.52\00:06:02.62 The Bible says without faith, it is impossible to please God. 00:06:02.66\00:06:06.96 And we need to be, 00:06:07.00\00:06:08.90 we need to have more faith than obedience, basically. 00:06:08.93\00:06:11.50 Yeah. 00:06:11.53\00:06:12.87 And I was reminded of that, I think I forgot about it. 00:06:12.90\00:06:16.00 And that's why I was so ashamed. 00:06:16.04\00:06:17.61 I think I went to the Lord and I said, 00:06:17.64\00:06:19.41 "You've brought me this far in my life. 00:06:19.44\00:06:22.34 My family came from a communist country. 00:06:22.38\00:06:24.58 You plucked us out of there. 00:06:24.61\00:06:25.95 All the things that have happened throughout my life 00:06:25.98\00:06:28.38 and you're telling me, 00:06:28.42\00:06:29.75 You're with me and for me to doubt that, 00:06:29.78\00:06:31.89 I never want to lose my faith again." 00:06:31.92\00:06:34.06 You know, one of the things that Jesus said to Mary 00:06:34.09\00:06:36.76 and people over and over again throughout the Bible was, 00:06:36.79\00:06:39.33 "Your faith has saved you. 00:06:39.36\00:06:41.63 Your faith has liberated you. 00:06:41.66\00:06:43.53 Your faith is." 00:06:43.57\00:06:44.90 And so, I have come out of this saying, "Lord, 00:06:44.93\00:06:49.10 I never want to take my eyes off of You again. 00:06:49.14\00:06:51.54 I'm going to continue to trust in You 00:06:51.57\00:06:53.11 and have faith no matter what." 00:06:53.14\00:06:54.81 Because my guarantee was my concert schedule. 00:06:54.84\00:06:58.08 Sure. 00:06:58.11\00:06:59.45 When I've got four or five concerts 00:06:59.48\00:07:00.82 lined up every weekend, 00:07:00.85\00:07:02.25 I know I'm going to at least you know, make a living. 00:07:02.28\00:07:04.75 You don't know how it's going to be 00:07:04.79\00:07:06.12 from concert to concert or week to week. 00:07:06.15\00:07:07.66 But when that all was gone, 00:07:07.69\00:07:10.09 that's when I need to trust in God 00:07:10.13\00:07:11.86 more than anything or anybody else. 00:07:11.89\00:07:13.33 Right. 00:07:13.36\00:07:14.70 You know, I think that musicians 00:07:14.73\00:07:17.07 as in anybody who finds their identity 00:07:17.10\00:07:20.94 in what they do and it's easy to do 00:07:20.97\00:07:23.37 since our lives are wrapped up at work, 00:07:23.41\00:07:26.01 and in separation of work and family 00:07:26.04\00:07:28.31 and finding that balance, it's almost impossible. 00:07:28.34\00:07:30.45 That's right. 00:07:30.48\00:07:31.81 But I know when I was on the road, 00:07:31.85\00:07:35.42 when I came off of the road after having been on so long, 00:07:35.45\00:07:40.66 it was an identity crisis, really. 00:07:40.69\00:07:44.66 And so I can only imagine having the carpet 00:07:44.69\00:07:48.16 pulled out from under you when it wasn't something, 00:07:48.20\00:07:49.96 you were forced. 00:07:50.00\00:07:51.33 Right. 00:07:51.37\00:07:52.70 That's off. 00:07:52.73\00:07:54.07 So you know, that kind of a, 00:07:54.10\00:07:56.64 for people who lose their jobs or you go have to, 00:07:56.67\00:08:01.54 go into retirement, 00:08:01.58\00:08:03.11 you know, you hear so many people that struggle. 00:08:03.14\00:08:06.55 So I love that finding your faith again. 00:08:06.58\00:08:11.45 You know, we are complete in Christ. 00:08:11.49\00:08:12.92 That's right. 00:08:12.95\00:08:14.29 And that's what we have to remember. 00:08:14.32\00:08:16.83 So that's an awesome thing. 00:08:16.86\00:08:20.36 And, yeah, I want to be 00:08:20.40\00:08:23.97 constantly faithful to God 00:08:24.00\00:08:29.30 and not my position, my talent. 00:08:29.34\00:08:32.77 My talent, it's all from Him. 00:08:32.81\00:08:35.41 But that's sweet. 00:08:35.44\00:08:38.81 I want to listen to some music before we go on any further. 00:08:38.85\00:08:43.08 And I think this is a good song to start with. 00:08:43.12\00:08:47.79 Absolutely. 00:08:47.82\00:08:49.16 It's on purpose, of course, we chose it that way. 00:08:49.19\00:08:51.76 But it's about putting Jesus Christ above all 00:08:51.79\00:08:54.93 because that's what He did. 00:08:54.96\00:08:56.30 Right. 00:08:56.33\00:08:57.67 He gave everything for you and me. 00:08:57.70\00:08:59.03 And He wants us to do the same, but we are the ones that gain 00:08:59.07\00:09:03.07 when we focus on Jesus Christ above all. 00:09:03.10\00:09:06.37 Yeah, here's Jaime Jorge playing Above All. 00:09:06.41\00:09:09.11 Great, Jaime Jorge playing Above All. 00:14:16.02\00:14:20.06 We were talking about the pandemic. 00:14:20.09\00:14:23.56 Just in that year, do you feel like, 00:14:23.59\00:14:28.36 did you have to spend more time practicing? 00:14:28.40\00:14:30.87 Or did you want to play? 00:14:30.90\00:14:32.80 You know, I... 00:14:32.83\00:14:34.67 Sometimes if I'm not performing, 00:14:34.70\00:14:37.31 there'll be days I don't touch the piano. 00:14:37.34\00:14:38.81 Right. 00:14:38.84\00:14:40.18 And that's dreadful for a musician 00:14:40.21\00:14:42.58 and it's dreadful for the audience 00:14:42.61\00:14:43.95 whenever you play again 00:14:43.98\00:14:45.31 and you haven't touched the piano. 00:14:45.35\00:14:46.68 That's right. 00:14:46.72\00:14:48.05 So what was your kind of schedule to it? 00:14:48.08\00:14:49.92 So it was a little bit of both. 00:14:49.95\00:14:52.62 And let me say that probably 00:14:52.65\00:14:54.86 the second greatest blessing after, 00:14:54.89\00:14:56.99 you know, this reconnecting with the Lord, 00:14:57.03\00:15:00.93 the second greatest blessing for me 00:15:00.96\00:15:02.40 was spending so much time with Rochelle and Aria 00:15:02.43\00:15:06.63 that we spend more time over the last year and a half 00:15:06.67\00:15:08.87 than we did in the previous six and a half years 00:15:08.90\00:15:10.81 of our marriage because you know, 00:15:10.84\00:15:12.41 being on the road 200-300 days a year 00:15:12.44\00:15:14.54 doesn't leave much time. 00:15:14.58\00:15:16.24 But you know at first I was all motivated like, 00:15:16.28\00:15:18.61 what are we going to do? 00:15:18.65\00:15:19.98 How am I going to get ready so that when this is over, 00:15:20.02\00:15:23.35 I come out of the gate with new products, 00:15:23.39\00:15:25.29 with new resources, with new ideas? 00:15:25.32\00:15:27.66 And then as time went by and time went by, 00:15:27.69\00:15:30.93 I felt like I almost just sort of got petrified 00:15:30.96\00:15:36.06 and paralysis hit. 00:15:36.10\00:15:37.73 So I didn't want to play. 00:15:37.77\00:15:39.40 You know, and it's when the Lord 00:15:39.43\00:15:42.27 sort of brought me back from all of that, 00:15:42.30\00:15:43.97 that of course, I started getting excited again 00:15:44.01\00:15:46.64 about making music and I don't think 00:15:46.68\00:15:48.71 I've ever taken for granted a single concert. 00:15:48.74\00:15:54.02 But since I've been able to get back on the road, 00:15:54.05\00:15:58.09 I feel like I'm living every single note. 00:15:58.12\00:16:01.66 You know, not just 00:16:01.69\00:16:03.02 oh, I got five concerts this weekend. 00:16:03.06\00:16:04.99 Well, okay I'll get through them and I'll enjoy them. 00:16:05.03\00:16:07.13 No, it's like, now I want every opportunity. 00:16:07.16\00:16:09.50 Wow! 00:16:09.53\00:16:10.87 Sometimes we have to remember 00:16:10.90\00:16:12.27 what we had when we don't have it anymore. 00:16:12.30\00:16:14.30 Yeah. 00:16:14.34\00:16:15.67 So I started out all excited and then I just dropped it. 00:16:15.70\00:16:20.51 But thankfully, I picked it up again 00:16:20.54\00:16:22.78 before I started playing publicly. 00:16:22.81\00:16:24.45 Right. 00:16:24.48\00:16:25.81 Because one of the greatest violinists 00:16:25.85\00:16:27.18 of all time, Fritz Kreisler said, 00:16:27.22\00:16:28.82 "If I don't practice one day, I noticed it. 00:16:28.85\00:16:31.42 If I don't practice two days, my friends and family know it. 00:16:31.45\00:16:34.36 And if I don't practice three days, 00:16:34.39\00:16:35.92 the whole world knows it." 00:16:35.96\00:16:37.29 Right. 00:16:37.33\00:16:38.66 So you can't hide when you're, 00:16:38.69\00:16:40.03 when you haven't practiced and you're not prepared. 00:16:40.06\00:16:42.36 Very simple. 00:16:42.40\00:16:43.73 Yeah, that's dangerous. 00:16:43.77\00:16:45.13 So how many hours a week do you practice? 00:16:45.17\00:16:47.87 Between three and five, depending on or per day, 00:16:47.90\00:16:52.24 depending on the situation. 00:16:52.27\00:16:54.34 When travelling, I'm doing all of that stuff. 00:16:54.38\00:16:56.78 Just because you know, 00:16:56.81\00:16:58.15 you learn you play as well as you do, 00:16:58.18\00:17:00.32 you have to do scales, you have to do exercises. 00:17:00.35\00:17:03.18 You're an athlete of the piano. 00:17:03.22\00:17:05.19 Right. 00:17:05.22\00:17:06.55 I'm an athlete of the violin. 00:17:06.59\00:17:07.92 And just because you run the 100 yard dash 00:17:07.96\00:17:09.86 in 9.85 seconds 00:17:09.89\00:17:12.29 now doesn't mean you will next month 00:17:12.33\00:17:14.10 if you just sit down and lay around the couch. 00:17:14.13\00:17:16.60 So it's something you have to continue to do 00:17:16.63\00:17:19.73 and that's something my teacher taught me early on. 00:17:19.77\00:17:22.04 He said, "If you practice six hours a day, 00:17:22.07\00:17:23.84 you practice three hours scales and three hours repertoire. 00:17:23.87\00:17:27.21 If you practice five hours a day, 00:17:27.24\00:17:29.11 three hour scales, two hours repertoire. 00:17:29.14\00:17:31.75 Four hours a day, three hour scales 00:17:31.78\00:17:33.52 and one hour repertoire. 00:17:33.55\00:17:34.88 And if you just practice three hours a day, 00:17:34.92\00:17:36.65 practice scales for three hours a day." 00:17:36.69\00:17:38.12 Really. 00:17:38.15\00:17:39.49 So it's that warming up and that training and... 00:17:39.52\00:17:42.76 That's amazing. 00:17:42.79\00:17:44.13 That conditioning. So... 00:17:44.16\00:17:46.03 So tell, for those of you, for those who don't know, 00:17:46.06\00:17:50.70 how, what's your background 00:17:50.73\00:17:52.10 is musically in terms of learning? 00:17:52.13\00:17:55.94 What was that? 00:17:55.97\00:17:57.31 Well, I started at the age of five 00:17:57.34\00:17:59.11 with a violin teacher, my mom. 00:17:59.14\00:18:00.88 Before I knew how to read and write, 00:18:00.91\00:18:02.44 I knew how to read music. 00:18:02.48\00:18:04.81 My mom being a musician 00:18:04.85\00:18:06.21 and a teacher taught me all of those things. 00:18:06.25\00:18:08.65 As I went you know, through school, 00:18:08.68\00:18:11.99 I had not only, you know, violin lessons, 00:18:12.02\00:18:14.56 I had music lessons theory, 00:18:14.59\00:18:16.66 you know, all of that stuff. 00:18:16.69\00:18:18.79 And then I did not major in music in college, 00:18:18.83\00:18:22.00 I wanted to be a doctor. 00:18:22.03\00:18:23.37 But I still took orchestra. 00:18:23.40\00:18:25.90 I still had lessons every week, I still had performances. 00:18:25.93\00:18:29.10 So I was very much, 00:18:29.14\00:18:30.47 almost kind of a parallel track of going music here. 00:18:30.51\00:18:34.18 And then pre-med, you know, there and I even kept it up 00:18:34.21\00:18:37.38 through medical school. 00:18:37.41\00:18:38.85 And then when the Lord finally said, 00:18:38.88\00:18:40.82 "This is not what I called you to do." 00:18:40.85\00:18:43.12 Then I really threw myself into it, 00:18:43.15\00:18:45.02 you know, full steam. 00:18:45.05\00:18:46.39 Wow! 00:18:46.42\00:18:47.76 Because you know, like, probably you 00:18:47.79\00:18:49.92 when I do something, it's all or nothing. 00:18:49.96\00:18:52.96 So, but when you do music ministry too, 00:18:52.99\00:18:57.13 you can't just couple times a week, 00:18:57.17\00:19:00.40 once a week here and there, 00:19:00.44\00:19:01.77 you have to, it's got to be full on. 00:19:01.80\00:19:03.47 Yeah. 00:19:03.51\00:19:05.07 So, but the technique is in those scales and the... 00:19:05.11\00:19:07.58 That's right. 00:19:07.61\00:19:09.71 Arpeggios. 00:19:09.74\00:19:11.08 Yeah. 00:19:11.11\00:19:12.45 I am not trained, so I play by ear. 00:19:12.48\00:19:14.52 Yeah. 00:19:14.55\00:19:15.88 And it's, to me, 00:19:15.92\00:19:19.09 if I can't do I mean, 00:19:19.12\00:19:21.82 I'm going to take that home with me 00:19:21.86\00:19:23.19 because I probably need to implement 00:19:23.22\00:19:25.83 that little plan of three hours 00:19:25.86\00:19:27.60 because I go straight to the repertoire 00:19:27.63\00:19:29.73 and because if I can't perform that whenever I get on stage. 00:19:29.76\00:19:32.83 I'm certainly not going to sit there 00:19:32.87\00:19:34.70 and do scales and address anybody. 00:19:34.74\00:19:36.07 Sure. 00:19:36.10\00:19:37.44 So I go straight for the songs. 00:19:37.47\00:19:39.37 And I tried to maybe incorporate 00:19:39.41\00:19:40.98 some of those skills in those but the technique see, 00:19:41.01\00:19:44.11 that's why they had me interview you 00:19:44.15\00:19:46.75 so I could learn how to do them, do it right. 00:19:46.78\00:19:49.25 Oh, I think you know plenty. 00:19:49.28\00:19:50.69 No. 00:19:50.72\00:19:52.05 But you know a sprinter doesn't run the 100 yard dash 00:19:52.09\00:19:54.96 or the meter dash, right off the bat. 00:19:54.99\00:19:57.73 He's got to warm up his muscles. 00:19:57.76\00:19:59.09 Yeah. And that's what we do. 00:19:59.13\00:20:01.46 You take just a few minutes. 00:20:01.50\00:20:02.93 Yeah. 00:20:02.96\00:20:04.30 Because you, you're a great pianist, 00:20:04.33\00:20:05.97 of course, you know that. 00:20:06.00\00:20:07.97 So all you need to do 00:20:08.00\00:20:09.34 is just warm up your muscles, that's all. 00:20:09.37\00:20:11.07 You know, I need to do that as well. 00:20:11.11\00:20:12.84 All right. Then the brain follows. 00:20:12.87\00:20:14.71 All right, well, we're, you know what, 00:20:14.74\00:20:16.08 we're going to cut this program short, 00:20:16.11\00:20:17.81 so I can go practice. 00:20:17.85\00:20:19.18 So, no, honestly, what a great lesson 00:20:19.21\00:20:23.42 I've just learned, folks, 00:20:23.45\00:20:24.79 and you were here to witness it. 00:20:24.82\00:20:26.15 So thanks and I know you expect to hear the difference. 00:20:26.19\00:20:30.43 So you have a... 00:20:30.46\00:20:33.60 Regarding the, you've talked about 00:20:33.63\00:20:35.36 now appreciating the opportunities 00:20:35.40\00:20:37.73 that you have now, 00:20:37.77\00:20:39.10 have you been able to see your schedule 00:20:39.13\00:20:41.70 a difference in it? 00:20:41.74\00:20:43.07 Yes. 00:20:43.10\00:20:44.44 Thankfully, I am back to doing 00:20:44.47\00:20:46.04 you know, three, four, five concerts a weekend. 00:20:46.07\00:20:49.58 And I'm definitely loving it. 00:20:49.61\00:20:51.75 And one of the things that I started doing 00:20:51.78\00:20:53.68 during the pandemic 00:20:53.72\00:20:55.05 was to teach online violin lessons. 00:20:55.08\00:20:57.05 Awesome. 00:20:57.09\00:20:58.42 So I've had about 50 students 00:20:58.45\00:20:59.79 all together over the course of that time 00:20:59.82\00:21:01.56 and I'm enjoying it. 00:21:01.59\00:21:02.92 Now it's presenting a challenge, 00:21:02.96\00:21:04.89 because I'm hitting the road doing concerts. 00:21:04.93\00:21:07.26 And I don't want to just drop my students 00:21:07.30\00:21:09.33 because some of these kids are absolutely precious. 00:21:09.36\00:21:12.20 And it's also given me a love for wanting 00:21:12.23\00:21:15.94 to motivate and challenge young people 00:21:15.97\00:21:19.27 to develop their talents for the glory of God. 00:21:19.31\00:21:21.44 Right. 00:21:21.48\00:21:22.81 And so I don't want to just say, 00:21:22.84\00:21:24.41 "Hey I'm busy now, I can't teach." 00:21:24.45\00:21:26.18 So I'm keeping them. 00:21:26.21\00:21:28.02 And so sometimes, I have to be 00:21:28.05\00:21:32.22 where I'm going to be that weekend 00:21:32.25\00:21:33.79 from the beginning of the week 00:21:33.82\00:21:35.16 because once I start teaching lessons, 00:21:35.19\00:21:36.52 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, there's no chance for me 00:21:36.56\00:21:38.83 to fly out Wednesday or Thursday, like I used to 00:21:38.86\00:21:41.33 for concerts you know, the rest of the weekend. 00:21:41.36\00:21:43.57 So I'm going to be spending a little bit more time 00:21:43.60\00:21:45.47 on the road. 00:21:45.50\00:21:46.84 But it's worth it because I feel like 00:21:46.87\00:21:48.67 I am making an investment in the future 00:21:48.70\00:21:51.41 of these young people. 00:21:51.44\00:21:52.77 Yeah. 00:21:52.81\00:21:54.14 They may never be concert violinists. 00:21:54.18\00:21:56.04 But the discipline 00:21:56.08\00:21:57.75 and the joy and the love of playing an instrument 00:21:57.78\00:22:01.28 is going to benefit them and their families, you know? 00:22:01.32\00:22:03.85 Yeah, indeed. 00:22:03.89\00:22:05.49 Teaching, for me, ooh, that's a different animal. 00:22:05.52\00:22:10.49 And it's very draining, 00:22:10.53\00:22:11.86 let me tell you especially on Zoom 00:22:11.89\00:22:14.03 because you can't just be slacking off. 00:22:14.06\00:22:15.80 You've got to be paying attention, 00:22:15.83\00:22:17.97 so that you can share with them what needs to be, 00:22:18.00\00:22:20.84 you know, tweaked or worked on or improved. 00:22:20.87\00:22:23.64 So how many students do you have? 00:22:23.67\00:22:25.01 Fifty. 00:22:25.04\00:22:26.37 Fifty? 00:22:26.41\00:22:27.74 My word? 00:22:27.78\00:22:29.11 Yeah, I'm going to have to, 00:22:29.14\00:22:30.95 I'd have to take 00:22:30.98\00:22:32.75 some patience lessons. 00:22:32.78\00:22:37.22 Or maybe that would be patience lessons to do that. 00:22:37.25\00:22:40.89 Because I've just, yeah, 00:22:40.92\00:22:42.49 especially on Zoom, goodness me. 00:22:42.52\00:22:44.76 Do you plan on possibly doing any in person? 00:22:44.79\00:22:47.36 Do you have that option? 00:22:47.40\00:22:48.73 Well, I have a few that 00:22:48.76\00:22:50.53 live in the Chattanooga area or even Atlanta. 00:22:50.57\00:22:52.73 Sure. 00:22:52.77\00:22:54.10 And they will drive once a month or come, 00:22:54.14\00:22:55.74 you know, every so often 00:22:55.77\00:22:57.57 because, of course, that's much better. 00:22:57.61\00:22:59.24 How do you tell somebody, 00:22:59.27\00:23:01.11 you know, do this and this, it's very hard. 00:23:01.14\00:23:04.68 When it's, you know, by video camera, 00:23:04.71\00:23:07.08 in person, you can say raise your elbow a little bit, 00:23:07.12\00:23:10.22 straighten out your wrist. 00:23:10.25\00:23:11.59 But it's that much more challenging. 00:23:11.62\00:23:13.96 Wow! 00:23:13.99\00:23:15.39 Well, talk to me about the ministry opportunities, 00:23:15.42\00:23:20.70 the opened doors you've seen 00:23:20.73\00:23:22.60 maybe over the past two, three years? 00:23:22.63\00:23:24.57 So I'm excited to share something with you 00:23:24.60\00:23:28.10 that goes back to my roots. 00:23:28.14\00:23:31.01 As you know, I was born in Cuba. 00:23:31.04\00:23:34.08 And I left when I was 10 years old. 00:23:34.11\00:23:37.15 I had been given a scholarship offer 00:23:37.18\00:23:40.02 when I was 10, 00:23:40.05\00:23:41.38 by the Government of Cuba, to go to Moscow 00:23:41.42\00:23:43.82 and study at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory Music. 00:23:43.85\00:23:46.19 Wow! 00:23:46.22\00:23:47.56 And, of course, I've told that story many times here 00:23:47.59\00:23:50.39 and in many other places because everybody, 00:23:50.43\00:23:53.36 especially when they're getting to know me for the first time 00:23:53.40\00:23:55.23 they want to know, you know, about that stuff. 00:23:55.26\00:23:57.17 But what's tied to all of that 00:23:57.20\00:23:58.77 is that the gentleman that offered me 00:23:58.80\00:24:02.30 that scholarship on behalf of the government 00:24:02.34\00:24:05.81 who wanted me to renounce my faith in Christ, 00:24:05.84\00:24:09.24 to be able to receive the scholarship. 00:24:09.28\00:24:10.98 When I told him that I was not willing to do that. 00:24:11.01\00:24:13.42 He said, "You'll never be anything. 00:24:13.45\00:24:15.75 You're giving up God, a God that doesn't exist 00:24:15.78\00:24:19.35 for real tangible opportunities here." 00:24:19.39\00:24:22.82 Anyway, two years ago 00:24:22.86\00:24:25.36 and I've been involved in outreach to Cuba 00:24:25.39\00:24:28.00 for a number of years. 00:24:28.03\00:24:29.46 First, with an organization that took Bibles 00:24:29.50\00:24:33.27 and printed Bible lessons 00:24:33.30\00:24:35.27 and sponsored the pastor salaries 00:24:35.30\00:24:37.64 and things like that. 00:24:37.67\00:24:39.44 But then when I started my own non-profit organization 00:24:39.47\00:24:43.65 about eight years ago, Healing Music, 00:24:43.68\00:24:47.45 I decided I wanted to continue 00:24:47.48\00:24:49.28 to support some of those projects 00:24:49.32\00:24:50.69 that they weren't supporting anymore. 00:24:50.72\00:24:52.49 But, of course, I dreamed of doing something with music. 00:24:52.52\00:24:56.12 And two years ago, 00:24:56.16\00:24:58.46 when I went to Cuba on one of those trips, 00:24:58.49\00:25:00.66 I was invited to have dinner 00:25:00.70\00:25:02.33 with two of Cuba's greatest musicians, 00:25:02.36\00:25:05.63 classical musicians. 00:25:05.67\00:25:07.80 And these are a couple of pictures that we have. 00:25:07.84\00:25:10.87 He is an operatic tenor by the name of Ulises Aquino. 00:25:10.91\00:25:15.78 A baritone, I'm sorry, not a tenor. 00:25:15.81\00:25:18.25 And then probably Cuba's greatest classical pianist, 00:25:18.28\00:25:21.28 Frank Fernandez. 00:25:21.32\00:25:22.75 I didn't know about Mr. Aquino. 00:25:22.78\00:25:24.12 But I had heard of Mr. Fernandez, 00:25:24.15\00:25:26.02 very well-known guy around the world, 00:25:26.05\00:25:28.86 in classical circles. 00:25:28.89\00:25:30.76 And they invited me to have dinner with them. 00:25:30.79\00:25:34.83 And we talked for several hours. 00:25:34.86\00:25:37.67 And at the end of the evening, they said, 00:25:37.70\00:25:39.50 "The reason why we invited you 00:25:39.53\00:25:41.27 is because someone told us about you. 00:25:41.30\00:25:44.04 And we've been checking you out. 00:25:44.07\00:25:47.14 We have a concert in two months 00:25:47.18\00:25:50.05 at the most important performance venue in Cuba, 00:25:50.08\00:25:52.68 The Great Theatre of Havana." 00:25:52.71\00:25:54.68 The equivalent of Carnegie Hall, 00:25:54.72\00:25:56.62 Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, all of those things in one. 00:25:56.65\00:26:00.69 It's a building 00:26:00.72\00:26:02.06 that's actually right next to the capital of Cuba. 00:26:02.09\00:26:04.49 When you look at the pictures, 00:26:04.53\00:26:06.33 all lit up at night, gorgeous place. 00:26:06.36\00:26:08.96 And they said, "We're going to be performing 00:26:09.00\00:26:11.47 with the National Symphony Orchestra and choir. 00:26:11.50\00:26:14.50 And we want to invite you 00:26:14.54\00:26:16.71 to perform as our guest 00:26:16.74\00:26:18.57 with the National Symphony Orchestra." 00:26:18.61\00:26:21.04 So the first weekend in April, 00:26:21.08\00:26:22.58 that is a picture of that night, 00:26:22.61\00:26:24.05 the audience there. 00:26:24.08\00:26:25.41 First weekend, in April 2019, I went 00:26:25.45\00:26:27.85 and nearly 39 years to the day 00:26:27.88\00:26:30.42 when that man had told me 00:26:30.45\00:26:31.79 I would never be a good violinist. 00:26:31.82\00:26:33.49 And for the first time 00:26:33.52\00:26:34.86 in the history of communist Cuba, 00:26:34.89\00:26:36.22 a Christian was on that stage, 00:26:36.26\00:26:38.19 praising the name of Jesus Christ Wow! 00:26:38.23\00:26:40.03 Praise the Lord. 00:26:40.06\00:26:41.40 And as a result of that, the doors have opened up 00:26:41.43\00:26:44.33 and the government has given us permission 00:26:44.37\00:26:47.54 to open a music school. 00:26:47.57\00:26:50.74 And so we have a school that is operating now 00:26:50.77\00:26:55.78 with 25 kids and we're getting ready to expand. 00:26:55.81\00:26:58.88 Rochelle who is into sports, 00:26:58.91\00:27:01.05 she was a football player and is still very active. 00:27:01.08\00:27:05.35 She takes duffel bags full of sports equipment there 00:27:05.39\00:27:08.92 because churches have these awesome sports programs 00:27:08.96\00:27:12.16 that reach tens of thousands of young people in Cuba 00:27:12.19\00:27:15.23 on the streets. 00:27:15.26\00:27:16.60 And that's how many of them 00:27:16.63\00:27:17.97 are coming to know Jesus Christ. 00:27:18.00\00:27:19.47 And so she'll fill duffel bags 00:27:19.50\00:27:21.44 and take them there for that purpose. 00:27:21.47\00:27:23.77 But in July, not long ago 00:27:23.81\00:27:26.37 I was able to go to Cuba and purchase a building, 00:27:26.41\00:27:29.68 this very building 00:27:29.71\00:27:31.28 that we're about to see here on the camera, 00:27:31.31\00:27:33.65 that we are going to turn into our music school. 00:27:33.68\00:27:38.62 We've gotten permission to use this place. 00:27:38.65\00:27:42.52 It used to be a hostel. 00:27:42.56\00:27:44.09 We have to remodel it and all that 00:27:44.13\00:27:45.93 because everything is falling apart over there. 00:27:45.96\00:27:47.93 Sure. 00:27:47.96\00:27:49.30 But we are going to use that building 00:27:49.33\00:27:51.33 as our music school and missionary outreach. 00:27:51.37\00:27:55.04 We'll be able to have missionary, 00:27:55.07\00:27:57.07 medical missionary trips 00:27:57.11\00:27:58.77 where the doctors and nurses can do exams 00:27:58.81\00:28:01.28 and counseling and all kinds of things. 00:28:01.31\00:28:04.01 And that's going to be the place 00:28:04.05\00:28:05.38 that we'll be able to operate out of. 00:28:05.41\00:28:07.42 Now in addition to that, 00:28:07.45\00:28:08.78 we have a similar program not quite 00:28:08.82\00:28:11.05 as big as this in Nicaragua and a school in Chattanooga, 00:28:11.09\00:28:16.02 where we give violins and violin lessons to poor, 00:28:16.06\00:28:18.66 underprivileged in inner city kids 00:28:18.69\00:28:20.73 with the aim of giving them opportunities 00:28:20.76\00:28:23.33 and sharing the gospel with them. 00:28:23.37\00:28:25.47 So I'm very excited about 00:28:25.50\00:28:27.67 how the Lord is opening up all those doors. 00:28:27.70\00:28:30.84 In fact, when we went to look 00:28:30.87\00:28:33.11 at the opportunity of getting this building, 00:28:33.14\00:28:36.21 of course, we didn't have the money. 00:28:36.24\00:28:37.58 But I sent out an email and within two weeks, 00:28:37.61\00:28:40.12 we had raised all the money 00:28:40.15\00:28:42.38 that we needed for this building. 00:28:42.42\00:28:44.09 So I believe 00:28:44.12\00:28:45.72 that when we call upon the name of the Lord, 00:28:45.75\00:28:48.92 He is going to respond and answer 00:28:48.96\00:28:51.69 maybe not in the way we want. 00:28:51.73\00:28:53.26 But it's in some cases beyond what we could have ever, 00:28:53.29\00:28:56.67 you know, imagined. 00:28:56.70\00:28:58.43 And all of that, of course is fed by the concerts 00:28:58.47\00:29:01.50 and me sharing and letting people know about it. 00:29:01.54\00:29:03.74 And one of the things 00:29:03.77\00:29:05.11 that we are sort of diversifying 00:29:05.14\00:29:07.08 or branching off into 00:29:07.11\00:29:08.84 is that I started to do these tours 00:29:08.88\00:29:11.55 to places like the Holy Land. 00:29:11.58\00:29:13.85 And I use music as a way to enhance the experience. 00:29:13.88\00:29:16.65 So at the Via Dolorosa, I play the Via Dolorosa, 00:29:16.69\00:29:20.12 at the Garden Tomb, 00:29:20.16\00:29:21.59 the Hallelujah chorus and the Sea of Galilee, 00:29:21.62\00:29:24.63 Master the Tempest is Raging in all of these places. 00:29:24.66\00:29:27.53 In fact, we got back not long ago 00:29:27.56\00:29:29.13 from doing a tour of Greece, 00:29:29.16\00:29:31.00 following the footsteps of the Apostle Paul. 00:29:31.03\00:29:33.84 And then we went to Patmos outside the cave 00:29:33.87\00:29:37.67 where John wrote the Book of Revelation. 00:29:37.71\00:29:40.48 And I did a concert for our group there. 00:29:40.51\00:29:42.51 So we're doing some of these things 00:29:42.54\00:29:44.25 as a way to try to expand and grow the ministry. 00:29:44.28\00:29:47.15 And in a situation like we found last year, 00:29:47.18\00:29:50.02 not just have your eggs in one basket, 00:29:50.05\00:29:52.49 but have different things that we can do 00:29:52.52\00:29:54.16 and we can offer. 00:29:54.19\00:29:55.52 So this time, 00:29:55.56\00:29:58.16 this pandemic time was challenging, 00:29:58.19\00:30:00.56 but I think it also, when I came out of it, 00:30:00.60\00:30:03.67 I just feel like somebody's injected me 00:30:03.70\00:30:06.10 with pure energy and excitement for the Lord. 00:30:06.13\00:30:09.10 That's awesome. 00:30:09.14\00:30:10.47 And I can't wait to keep going. 00:30:10.51\00:30:11.87 Well, you don't have time to practice then in that case. 00:30:11.91\00:30:13.74 Exactly. 00:30:13.78\00:30:15.11 No wonder. 00:30:15.14\00:30:16.48 Wow. 00:30:16.51\00:30:17.85 So it's amazing, you know, with gifts 00:30:17.88\00:30:21.75 there is responsibility. 00:30:21.78\00:30:23.79 And I love the purpose that you have put into, 00:30:23.82\00:30:27.49 you know, it's not just Jaime and his fiddle. 00:30:27.52\00:30:32.66 It's you are indeed living life intentionally 00:30:32.69\00:30:36.46 and ministering on purpose. 00:30:36.50\00:30:39.00 And so thank you. 00:30:39.03\00:30:40.37 Well, I have found and you know this, 00:30:40.40\00:30:42.54 that money is nice 00:30:42.57\00:30:45.61 and being well known is nice 00:30:45.64\00:30:48.61 and all of these things, 00:30:48.64\00:30:49.98 but the greatest joy that you and I get 00:30:50.01\00:30:53.85 is when people's lives are touched at a concert. 00:30:53.88\00:30:57.62 That is what keeps us going. 00:30:57.65\00:30:59.15 Exactly. 00:30:59.19\00:31:00.52 To continue to do what we're doing 00:31:00.56\00:31:02.09 and that's what it's really about. 00:31:02.12\00:31:03.56 I keep saying the investment that we make on earth 00:31:03.59\00:31:07.03 is making us a treasure in heaven 00:31:07.06\00:31:09.16 that nobody can take away from, 00:31:09.20\00:31:10.57 because all of this stuff could be taken away like that. 00:31:10.60\00:31:12.63 Right. 00:31:12.67\00:31:14.00 But the treasure that we store in heaven 00:31:14.04\00:31:15.54 will never be taken by anybody. 00:31:15.57\00:31:17.04 Right. 00:31:17.07\00:31:18.41 And you have eternity to practice. 00:31:18.44\00:31:19.77 Exactly. 00:31:19.81\00:31:21.14 So. 00:31:21.18\00:31:22.51 Yes, thank you for reminding me that. 00:31:22.54\00:31:23.98 We can concentrate on the purposeful things 00:31:24.01\00:31:25.95 while we're here. 00:31:25.98\00:31:27.32 Yes. 00:31:27.35\00:31:28.68 You talked about those experiences 00:31:28.72\00:31:30.05 that you've done over the Holy Land and the Greece. 00:31:30.09\00:31:34.29 Do you happen to have... 00:31:34.32\00:31:36.12 Have you put those on like a CD, a project? 00:31:36.16\00:31:39.76 No, I'm working on a DVD 00:31:39.79\00:31:41.60 that will not only have music videos in the Holy Land, 00:31:41.63\00:31:45.13 but also will sort of serve as a guide 00:31:45.17\00:31:47.04 because there are a lot of people that can't go. 00:31:47.07\00:31:48.60 It's gonna serve as an experience. 00:31:48.64\00:31:49.97 Yeah. 00:31:50.01\00:31:51.34 Sort of like a virtual or a behind the scenes look, 00:31:51.37\00:31:56.34 you know, as to what it's like, so we're working on that. 00:31:56.38\00:31:59.65 No, I'm not one to typically buy someone else's, 00:31:59.68\00:32:03.25 other musicians CDs, but I would buy those 00:32:03.28\00:32:07.42 because I probably will never get to go to those places. 00:32:07.46\00:32:11.83 But I've been to a lot of places like Missouri. 00:32:11.86\00:32:15.03 And I could do a CD on 00:32:24.74\00:32:26.07 I love the fact that you are... Now you've got a foundation? 00:32:26.11\00:32:29.51 Right. 00:32:29.54\00:32:30.88 Talk to me about, is this Healing Music? 00:32:30.91\00:32:32.48 So that's Healing Music. 00:32:32.51\00:32:33.92 That's the one that supports all of these projects. 00:32:33.95\00:32:36.82 Right. 00:32:36.85\00:32:38.19 And in my concerts as I share, 00:32:38.22\00:32:40.26 people are impressed to support and that's how we, 00:32:40.29\00:32:44.69 you know, we were growing and funding these projects. 00:32:44.73\00:32:47.20 Nice. 00:32:47.23\00:32:48.56 I want to share maybe a classical piece with you. 00:32:48.60\00:32:51.73 Okay. 00:32:51.77\00:32:53.10 And it's called Meditation. 00:32:53.13\00:32:54.47 I think that's perfect. 00:32:54.50\00:32:55.84 It was written by a French composer 00:32:55.87\00:32:57.67 by the name of Jules Massenet 00:32:57.71\00:32:59.54 and it's from a larger opera 00:32:59.57\00:33:02.28 that's why it's called Meditation from Thais. 00:33:02.31\00:33:05.48 But I want to share it 00:33:05.51\00:33:06.95 because we all need to take time 00:33:06.98\00:33:10.09 to spend in meditation and in communing with God. 00:33:10.12\00:33:14.89 Life comes at us so hard and so fast these days, 00:33:14.92\00:33:18.36 that if we don't take that time we are going out there, 00:33:18.39\00:33:22.90 you know, without our armor, 00:33:22.93\00:33:25.43 and sometimes we just have to sigh and stop 00:33:25.47\00:33:31.17 and sometimes we have to turn off the phones 00:33:31.21\00:33:33.01 and the answering machines and the remote controls 00:33:33.04\00:33:36.64 and everything else and just meditate. 00:33:36.68\00:33:39.35 And that's what I hope will happen 00:33:39.38\00:33:40.72 when we hear this song. 00:33:40.75\00:33:42.08 Sweet. 00:33:42.12\00:33:43.45 Well, let's listen to Meditation 00:33:43.49\00:33:45.29 from Thais, Jaime Jorge. 00:33:45.32\00:33:47.82 Jaime Jorge, thank you very, very much. 00:38:48.12\00:38:50.16 What a wonderful time of meditation. 00:38:50.19\00:38:52.89 Just sitting here letting the Lord minister to me 00:38:52.93\00:38:57.30 for sure and thinking about His goodness. 00:38:57.33\00:39:02.14 Music is such a powerful, 00:39:02.17\00:39:04.67 I know it's been said over and over, 00:39:04.71\00:39:07.44 but it's such a wonderful gift that God gave us. 00:39:07.48\00:39:11.78 Yes, it is. 00:39:11.81\00:39:13.15 I thank you for sharing your talent with us. 00:39:13.18\00:39:16.02 Thank you for what you have done for not only God's work 00:39:16.05\00:39:21.09 but for music and people like me 00:39:21.12\00:39:23.63 who have watched you with my jaw 00:39:23.66\00:39:26.33 on the floor saying, "Man, if I played the piano. 00:39:26.36\00:39:30.57 I'd like to play like that." 00:39:30.60\00:39:33.17 But you know, we never know 00:39:33.20\00:39:34.87 who we are impacting 00:39:34.90\00:39:36.81 and encouraging and influencing, 00:39:36.84\00:39:38.97 or on the other side, giving a bad example. 00:39:39.01\00:39:41.24 Sure. 00:39:41.28\00:39:42.61 So it's just a reminder 00:39:42.64\00:39:44.35 of how other people are watching 00:39:44.38\00:39:46.85 and we don't even know it. 00:39:46.88\00:39:48.22 It's a great opportunity. 00:39:48.25\00:39:49.58 One more aspect of that responsibility 00:39:49.62\00:39:51.82 of having a gift... 00:39:51.85\00:39:53.25 That's right. 00:39:53.29\00:39:54.62 To represent Christ in a Christ like way. 00:39:54.66\00:39:57.23 That's right. 00:39:57.26\00:39:58.59 You have some things coming up for you that are exciting. 00:39:58.63\00:40:03.26 I believe you said next year, 2022, 00:40:03.30\00:40:06.77 will be how many years for you? 00:40:06.80\00:40:08.14 Thirty five. 00:40:08.17\00:40:09.50 Thirty five years of music ministry. 00:40:09.54\00:40:11.27 That's, so you said you started really like. 00:40:11.31\00:40:14.88 Yeah. 00:40:14.91\00:40:16.24 Okay, well, I was gonna even go younger than that. 00:40:16.28\00:40:18.51 I was gonna say like maybe three. 00:40:18.55\00:40:20.78 Oh, man. 00:40:20.82\00:40:22.15 But no, wonderful. 00:40:22.18\00:40:23.52 So talk to me about 00:40:23.55\00:40:24.89 what's going on next year for you? 00:40:24.92\00:40:26.25 So, next year, at least musically speaking, 00:40:26.29\00:40:30.06 we're going to release, at the beginning of the year, 00:40:30.09\00:40:33.36 a brand new album that I've been working on. 00:40:33.40\00:40:35.80 And most of the albums I have recorded 00:40:35.83\00:40:38.17 through the years have been of the old hymns and, 00:40:38.20\00:40:41.27 you know, some of those songs that are. 00:40:41.30\00:40:42.64 Favorites. 00:40:42.67\00:40:44.01 Yeah, but I wanted to do something along the lines 00:40:44.04\00:40:46.41 of a classic praise and worship. 00:40:46.44\00:40:48.88 So in other words 00:40:48.91\00:40:50.25 the really, really beautiful songs 00:40:50.28\00:40:53.01 like How great is our God, Shout to the Lord, 00:40:53.05\00:40:56.22 You are my hiding place, so forth. 00:40:56.25\00:40:58.85 But on top of that, I have, 00:40:58.89\00:41:01.16 like I did for the 25th anniversary 00:41:01.19\00:41:04.06 concert in celebration that we did. 00:41:04.09\00:41:05.99 I wanted to invite and have some of my friends 00:41:06.03\00:41:08.60 come and be a part of it. 00:41:08.63\00:41:10.57 And so people like Take Six and Legacy Five, 00:41:10.60\00:41:15.20 who I think you've heard of before. 00:41:15.24\00:41:16.71 Most certainly. 00:41:16.74\00:41:18.07 And Oleta Adams, 00:41:18.11\00:41:19.44 which we were talking about before, 00:41:19.47\00:41:20.81 and some others are going to be joining me 00:41:20.84\00:41:22.21 as part of duets in that album so I'm very, very excited. 00:41:22.24\00:41:26.28 That's exciting. Yes. 00:41:26.31\00:41:27.65 First of all that a musician has friends 00:41:27.68\00:41:30.25 because, you know, usually we're, 00:41:30.29\00:41:32.82 you know, just nobody recognizes us 00:41:32.85\00:41:35.79 unless we're in the wrong key. 00:41:35.82\00:41:37.16 That's right. 00:41:37.19\00:41:38.53 But know that you have these people 00:41:38.56\00:41:39.89 that will be performing these songs. 00:41:39.93\00:41:41.53 That's really, really great. 00:41:41.56\00:41:43.03 I can't wait to hear that. 00:41:43.06\00:41:45.00 So do you, how did you pick some of those songs? 00:41:45.03\00:41:48.44 I mean there's a lot of. 00:41:48.47\00:41:50.01 Songs that have ministered to me 00:41:50.04\00:41:52.97 that have really spoken to me. 00:41:53.01\00:41:55.88 That's the criteria 00:41:55.91\00:41:57.58 that I have always used for choosing music. 00:41:57.61\00:42:00.22 If it does something for me, 00:42:00.25\00:42:01.58 it might do something for somebody else, you know? 00:42:01.62\00:42:04.05 And then you kind of whittle down 00:42:04.09\00:42:05.79 and go from there, 00:42:05.82\00:42:07.16 but I've never played something that didn't reach me, 00:42:07.19\00:42:10.66 didn't touch me, didn't move me. 00:42:10.69\00:42:12.13 That's smart. 00:42:12.16\00:42:13.50 So well while we're on the topic, 00:42:13.53\00:42:15.53 I think I want to hear before we run out of time. 00:42:15.56\00:42:16.90 Yeah. 00:42:16.93\00:42:18.27 I'd like to hear one of the songs 00:42:18.30\00:42:19.63 that's going to be on this project. 00:42:19.67\00:42:21.00 Awesome. What do you have for us? 00:42:21.04\00:42:22.37 So it's called Agnus Dei. 00:42:22.40\00:42:23.74 It was written by Michael W. Smith. 00:42:23.77\00:42:25.11 Agnus Dei in Latin means Lamb of God. 00:42:25.14\00:42:28.14 And this is actually featuring the voices 00:42:28.18\00:42:31.45 of the Oakwood University, Aeolians. 00:42:31.48\00:42:33.58 Wonderful. 00:42:33.62\00:42:34.95 So I hope, I hope you'll enjoy it. 00:42:34.98\00:42:37.75 Enjoy Jaime Jorge playing Agnus Dei. 00:42:37.79\00:42:41.02 Powerful, powerful, powerful, Agnus Dei. 00:49:10.48\00:49:13.92 Jaime Jorge, thank you for your ministry. 00:49:13.95\00:49:16.48 Truly, thank you. Twelve. 00:49:27.66\00:49:29.00 Here I Am to Worship. 00:49:29.03\00:49:30.37 It's called and I think it's an appropriate name. 00:49:30.40\00:49:32.03 Absolutely. Wonderful. 00:49:32.07\00:49:33.70 It has been a delight to talk to you. 00:49:33.74\00:49:37.11 I've learned so much. 00:49:37.14\00:49:38.61 It's wonderful to, 00:49:38.64\00:49:41.61 in fact, I would have paid for this experience, 00:49:41.64\00:49:43.95 to be honest, 00:49:43.98\00:49:45.38 because it's just great to get to know other musicians 00:49:45.41\00:49:48.35 and know their struggles. 00:49:48.38\00:49:49.72 And I think we ought to do this more often. 00:49:49.75\00:49:54.49 But I would, in fact, probably take lessons from you. 00:49:54.52\00:49:58.33 I don't play the violin, 00:49:58.36\00:49:59.93 but I could, I know I could learn 00:49:59.96\00:50:02.13 your purpose and the responsibility 00:50:02.16\00:50:04.50 that you, the intention, 00:50:04.53\00:50:09.44 you're doing things just like I want to. 00:50:09.47\00:50:12.81 So I admire you and I'm grateful. 00:50:12.84\00:50:16.01 Praise the Lord. 00:50:16.04\00:50:17.88 And I want to encourage you 00:50:17.91\00:50:19.25 because you've been an encouragement to me 00:50:19.28\00:50:20.62 and it's an honor to be here with you. 00:50:20.65\00:50:23.25 And it's a privilege to call you my friend. 00:50:23.28\00:50:25.32 Sure. 00:50:25.35\00:50:26.69 And so, I think all of us 00:50:26.72\00:50:28.69 can be encouraged by one another 00:50:28.72\00:50:31.99 and that's one of the themes of my concerts right now 00:50:32.03\00:50:34.80 is to encourage people and to challenge them. 00:50:34.83\00:50:37.80 So there's stuff we can all do 00:50:37.83\00:50:41.67 and there's much that we can still learn, you know. 00:50:41.70\00:50:44.91 So you'll be filling out the rest of the year 00:50:44.94\00:50:48.28 with dates in the States? 00:50:48.31\00:50:50.28 Yes.
