when I first came here

well, God told me this,

and people were like.

Did He really tell?

"Yeah, you know,
with this woman."

But what we're talking about

is the still
small voice of the Lord.

You know, I bet

if you're a Christian,

there are times you know

thought in your mind.

So what did you do?

it was a still small voice.

from there's a parable

that Jesus mentions,

I'm sure many of us are
familiar with the parable,

where He talks
about the talents,

and I enjoy
drawing and painting.
00:11:39.49\00:11:41.96
So my family, my
friends know I love art.
00:11:42.00\00:11:44.33
And God basically was saying,
"Tiffani, you have this talent.
00:11:44.37\00:11:48.00
But right now, you're
not doing anything with it."
00:11:48.04\00:11:50.64
And I thought about
the parable and I said,
00:11:50.67\00:11:52.01
"Okay God, I do want to
use this talent for You."
00:11:52.04\00:11:54.71
And that's how He
led me to leave my job.

And I actually moved.

My job, I was working
in Huntsville, Alabama.

I moved back to
Maryland with my parents.

Now, that was also a
very interesting situation.

I'm the youngest girl.

And my parents, you
know, they were excited.

Our daughters, we've put
them through Christian school

their entire lives.

They both graduated,

my sister at the
time was married.

I was the last one.

However, I have
something to tell you."

So the three of
us were on the phone.

tell they were in a good mood.

told me to quit my job."

And there was a long silence.

And my dad said, "Baby girl,

I'm not sure
that was God's voice."

So I said, well, so we continue
having the conversation.

And I explained to them, I said,

"You know, you raised my
sister and I to trust God."

But, so I sold my house, I

to be a missionary.

to go to South Korea.

So after a couple of
years of this artwork,

how did you end
up in South Korea?

So, yes, I had
heard about South Korea

the mission opportunity
when I was at Oakwood,

but I decided to
continue with my career

So about the second year

when I was still
drawing and painting,

I had a lot of friends that
had travelled to South Korea

and they were
missionaries and they told me

how amazing their
experience had been.

So I looked into
it and I applied.

And the initial plan

was just to be there for a year.

I wanted to teach the Bible

also help students

That year turned into 10 years,
so I speak Korean fluently.

things that happened
