the light of truth.

So how do we know that

So Jesus has just

to His disciples.

And there's many
people on looking

as He is about to
ascend into heaven.

Of course, the Acts
Chapter 1 records this event.

And so if you go
to Acts Chapter 1,

we're going to start in verse 9.

Notice what it says.

It says, "Now when he
had spoken these things,

while they
watched, He was taken up,

and a cloud received
Him out of their sight.

And while they looked
steadfastly toward heaven

stood by them in white apparel."

Of course, most scholars

and theologians
believe that this is,

these are angelic
hosts, like people.

So these are angels potentially.

them in white apparel,

who also said, 'Men of Galilee,

This same Jesus who was taken up

and here's the key word,
"will so come in like manner

as you have seen

I love that passage
because if you had no other

scriptures in all the Bible,
but you just had those verses,

it tells you enough to
know that as they literally,

very physically, you
know, very visually, audibly.

I mean, they're taking
this in a very literal,

very clear sense.

They're seeing Jesus
ascend into the heavens.

And, of course, the
angels confirmed that just

as you see Him leaving,

He will come in
that exact same manner

when He returns again.

But yet, as we know, Shelley,

taught growing up that we were

taught that when Jesus
returns again at this rapture,

But as we go
through the Scripture,

we will see very clearly
that there are multiple points

as Jesus' second
coming is very visible.

confess wonderfully written.

the secret rapture.

And then I'd read Jesus'
words like Matthew 24:27.

This is what Jesus said.

He said, "As
lightning comes from the east

and flashes to the west,

so also will be the coming

of the Son of Man."

Is there anything
secretive about lightening

as it flashes across?

Jesus is saying that

He's coming and
every eye will see Him.

Tell us about that? Absolutely.

So Christ's return
as we've mentioned,

It is very
visible, right? No one.

I remember watching
that Left Behind Series,

not to keep
referencing it, but I remember

there's a
particular scene in that movie

where they're all on a plane
00:09:44.81\00:09:46.45
and they're 37,
38,000 feet up in the air.
00:09:46.48\00:09:49.75
And then in a moment in
time, these people go missing
00:09:49.78\00:09:53.86
and their loved
ones are looking beside
00:09:53.89\00:09:55.22
and the plane basically erupts
in chaos because the clothes
00:09:55.26\00:09:59.49
of their loved ones
and of their friends
00:09:59.53\00:10:01.06
and of their
family are laying behind.
00:10:01.10\00:10:02.76
And no one seems to know
what in the world is happening,

but yet it's interesting

when you read
the biblical record,

for instance,

Revelation 1:7, Jesus
says these words very clearly,

behold, speaking of His coming,

He says, He is
coming with clouds

and every eye will see Him.

We can take that very literally
because it means literally

every eye will see Him.

Another great passage
there, we were in Matthew 24
00:10:25.32\00:10:28.02
and you read verse 27.
00:10:28.06\00:10:29.49
But if you go down to verse
30, notice what Jesus says here,

speaking of His second coming.
00:10:32.53\00:10:34.13
He says,

"Then the sign of the Son of Man

will appear in heaven.

And then all the tribes
of the earth will mourn.

And they will see the Son of Man

coming on the clouds of heaven

with power and great glory."

Jesus is confirming there,
