I did have a chance
to go to private schools,

and I was exposed to the Bible,

I was exposed to
the gospel early.

And that was very important
because as I grew older,

as I turned 18-19 years old,

I was really, I looked
around, and I realized,

I can be any man
that I want to be,

I can live any life that I want.

And I was seeing all the
temptations of the world,

and I had to ask myself,

"Do I really believe in God,

because if God is not real,

I'm going to miss out

on all these
pleasures of the world."

And so it was really a
fork in the road for me.

And it was at that point
that I had to make a decision,

do I believe in God?

You know, what kind
of man am I going to be?

And so I prayed about things,

I talked to people
that I loved and trusted

and kind of got their feedback.

And I came to the conclusion,

I didn't have all
my questions answered.

But I came to the conclusion

that the evidence
for God in the Bible

was overwhelming.

I wasn't maybe, like I said,

had everything
that I needed to know.

But it was enough
for me to make a decision

that I thought
it would be foolish

to live a life apart from God.

I felt it would be foolish,

it would be
gambling with my eternity,

which would be
especially foolish

because the evidence shows

that the Bible and God are real.

And so I made a
decision to live for God.

And soon after that,
God led me in the path

of a young lady
in one of my classes

at a college I was attending.

And we would chat after class,

we would walk in
the hall and talk.

And one day she told me,

I was asking her
what she was doing

over the weekend,

and she said she
was going to church

on Saturday.

And when she said
that, I immediately said,

why Saturday, you
know, that's the wrong day.

You know, we go
to church on Sunday.

And she said, she
explained to me a little bit,

and she said, "Well,

that is the fourth commandment."

And as soon as she said that,

a light bulb went off in my mind

that I had to
either prove her wrong,

or I had to study it out

and start doing
what she was doing.

And so I started to study,

I started to
attend church with her,

she would translate,

started doing Bible
studies with an elder,

because this
was a Spanish Church

that I originally went to.

And soon I started to see

that it was not only the Sabbath

was part of God's message,

but I started to see
a full system of truth

that was perfectly
harmonious and united.

And it was almost
as if all the truths

that I had grown
up with in the church

as I was younger
were being sewn together

with like a
golden thread of truth.

And I started to
see this full system,

and I was just in love.

I said, "This is what I
have to spend my life doing."

called to be full time ministry.

Well, you know, whether
someone is a doctor or a teacher

station attendant,

whatever they are,

God has put them
there to be a missionary.

Yes, they're to work hard,
they're to collect a paycheck,

you know, God
helps with that as well.

But they're there
to be a missionary.

share God's truth

with a smile, with a prayer,

with giving literature

And so we're all
called to be in that role.

But for me, I really felt

there was nothing else

be fulfilled in my life

this message full time.

And so that was a while ago.

felt that calling,

I didn't know exactly

how God wanted me
to use that urgency

I was fairly
immature in my faith.

need to make money

because I had a lot
of debt from college.

have my degree in teaching.

And so I decided
I'll use this degree,

you know, I have it,

I might as well use this degree,

I can do
ministry work on the side,

I can get out of debt,

I can allow
myself to get more mature

as God works with me.

And sure enough, after,

I think it was
about five years ago,

I was able to get
out of debt completely.

And I looked at that
as really a green light

"Okay, now's the time."

bit about my background,

started this ministry,

You know, one of the things

was constant growth.

leveling up spiritually.

people want to start

And those are good ambitions,

but it's important to
take the little opportunities

that God gives you now.

As I was a school
teacher, I would do preaching,

I would do crusades,

and just whenever
I had the opportunity

to do something, I would try to,

you know, take
advantage of that,

and kind of
build-up that ability

that God had given me.

And sometimes it's humbling,

because I would
teach in the inner city,

and I would just kind of laugh
and laugh to myself sometimes

because I would be
preaching on Saturday

in front of
distinguished people like

these are people
that are professionals

and make a lot of money,

and they be
listening to my every word.

They'd be like,
"Wow, this is God's Word,

as we should do to any preacher,

we should be listening."

And then I go to
school and teach,

and the kids
won't close their mouth.

And it's like, you
know, it's humbling,

and it's a reminder,

you know, that you're
just another human being,

God wants to use you,

shares that as well.

That's really the
central part of our message.

sense of urgency to it,

Some of it is at times scary.

Some of it is very urgent.

see that there is hope,
