This is a wonderful couple. 00:11:48.94\00:11:51.07 And we wanna know how you met. 00:11:51.11\00:11:52.94 We know that you were in Mexico, right? 00:11:52.97\00:11:56.21 And what were you do... Is that where you're from? 00:11:56.24\00:11:58.21 I'm originally from Mexico, yes. 00:11:58.25\00:12:00.12 And I came to Wildwood, 00:12:00.15\00:12:01.88 a wonderful place in 2009 and I came there first 00:12:01.92\00:12:06.76 and then he came two weeks later 00:12:06.79\00:12:09.52 and later on we met, 00:12:09.56\00:12:11.99 'cause I didn't speak any English. 00:12:12.03\00:12:13.96 So once I learned English, 00:12:14.00\00:12:15.40 we started having like the same group of friends 00:12:15.43\00:12:18.43 and we went mountain biking 00:12:18.47\00:12:19.83 and doing all of this adventure things 00:12:19.87\00:12:23.14 and, yeah, that's how come... 00:12:23.17\00:12:24.97 How we met. 00:12:25.01\00:12:26.34 And do we have any pictures from your date? 00:12:26.37\00:12:28.08 And I think we did have. 00:12:28.11\00:12:29.44 Oh, we have a picture of when we got engaged, 00:12:29.48\00:12:32.45 so we got to know each other a little in Wildwood 00:12:32.48\00:12:35.12 and later on became friends 00:12:35.15\00:12:37.09 and then initiated a courtship. 00:12:37.12\00:12:39.69 Not long after that, I think a couple of weeks, 00:12:39.72\00:12:41.72 she ended up having to go back to Mexico 00:12:41.76\00:12:43.49 because of a visa issues. 00:12:43.53\00:12:45.36 And we were separated for about 10 months there. 00:12:45.39\00:12:48.33 So she came back once she got her visa cleared 00:12:48.36\00:12:52.47 and at the second day she was back, I proposed. 00:12:52.50\00:12:57.24 Not letting her go while you were there. 00:12:57.27\00:12:58.61 Yes. Wonderful. 00:12:58.64\00:13:00.21 Yeah. Yeah. 00:13:00.24\00:13:01.58 The secret was they sang the hymn, 00:13:01.61\00:13:02.94 no turning back. 00:13:02.98\00:13:04.78 There's actually a friend of mine, 00:13:04.81\00:13:06.15 he was a Cuban descent 00:13:06.18\00:13:08.32 down there at wildwood, Jose Noriega. 00:13:08.35\00:13:10.92 And I remember when we first started dating, 00:13:10.95\00:13:12.65 he was like, Josh, you know, 00:13:12.69\00:13:14.96 when you start going down that runway, 00:13:14.99\00:13:16.32 there's a point where you, 00:13:16.36\00:13:17.69 you gotta pull back, you're gonna lift up. 00:13:17.73\00:13:19.06 So I remember that. That's right. 00:13:19.09\00:13:20.60 And that was true. And when did you get married? 00:13:20.63\00:13:24.67 2014 in January. January 7th, cold day. 00:13:24.70\00:13:28.40 Let's see, we have a picture. 00:13:28.44\00:13:29.77 We've picture of your wedding day. 00:13:29.80\00:13:31.14 Well, the picture that we have, 00:13:31.17\00:13:32.64 so funny story, we got married two times. 00:13:32.67\00:13:35.08 Oh, yeah. 00:13:35.11\00:13:36.44 One time for the judge and the immigration, 00:13:36.48\00:13:38.81 essentially small service in our church 00:13:38.85\00:13:41.72 with some family and close friends. 00:13:41.75\00:13:43.39 That's like our official wedding. 00:13:43.42\00:13:44.82 Right. They counted that way. 00:13:44.85\00:13:46.19 There you go. 00:13:46.22\00:13:47.56 What we have more is more of a, 00:13:47.59\00:13:48.92 not so much a formality, 00:13:48.96\00:13:50.29 but for the celebration of the fact, 00:13:50.33\00:13:51.66 it's more of her family that could come 00:13:51.69\00:13:53.03 once they got their visas to be able to attend. 00:13:53.06\00:13:55.06 In July 27th... 27th, yeah. 00:13:55.10\00:13:58.97 2014, the same year. Yeah. 00:13:59.00\00:14:00.97 Six months later. 00:14:01.00\00:14:02.34 Then you had two beautiful sons. 00:14:02.37\00:14:04.11 Yeah. Caleb in 2016. 00:14:04.14\00:14:08.01 And then Isaac, 2018. Yeah. 00:14:08.04\00:14:11.41 Wow, wonderful. Highly energetic. 00:14:11.45\00:14:12.78 The type... 00:14:12.81\00:14:14.15 You know, the type of thing 00:14:14.18\00:14:15.52 you do go into different parts of the world 00:14:15.55\00:14:17.29 where conditions are not as good 00:14:17.32\00:14:20.36 as it is here, you know? 00:14:20.39\00:14:21.72 'Cause we're gonna look at some pictures 00:14:21.76\00:14:23.09 where you're in the jungles and different things like that. 00:14:23.12\00:14:25.89 Those are the types of kids that you want to have. 00:14:25.93\00:14:28.70 They don't mind running through a mud pothole 00:14:28.73\00:14:31.03 or not worry or what. 00:14:31.07\00:14:32.40 Just kind of give them a bath once a day 00:14:32.43\00:14:34.40 and just send it back outside. 00:14:34.44\00:14:35.77 Well, we were in Nicaragua. 00:14:35.80\00:14:37.14 They actually were 00:14:37.17\00:14:38.51 in their trunks most of the time. 00:14:38.54\00:14:40.14 Semi-trunks. Yeah, semi-trunks. 00:14:40.18\00:14:41.71 Yeah, sorry. 00:14:41.74\00:14:44.38 Thanks for clarifying. 00:14:44.41\00:14:48.18 Some of that too, I'm sure. 00:14:48.22\00:14:50.59 You lock them in the trunk. That's fine. 00:14:50.62\00:14:54.39 But we understand, but let's kind of dive into, 00:14:54.42\00:14:57.63 I've got to find out 00:14:57.66\00:14:58.99 what made you interested in aviation at all? 00:14:59.03\00:15:02.16 Yeah. Yeah. 00:15:02.20\00:15:03.53 So I didn't really have an awful big aviation 00:15:03.57\00:15:07.34 interest starting off. 00:15:07.37\00:15:09.70 And my late teen years, 00:15:09.74\00:15:12.27 I started getting introduced to medical missionary work 00:15:12.31\00:15:15.24 and that's kinda what led me to Wildwood. 00:15:15.28\00:15:17.15 And while I was there 00:15:17.18\00:15:18.51 I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. 00:15:18.55\00:15:20.72 I was 18, I guess, by that point. 00:15:20.75\00:15:22.55 And I wasn't sure for sure 00:15:22.58\00:15:24.72 what I wanted to put my back into 00:15:24.75\00:15:26.09 and learn and do for God. 00:15:26.12\00:15:27.46 I want to do something for God. 00:15:27.49\00:15:29.52 But while there I was working in maintenance, 00:15:29.56\00:15:31.13 I was a work scholarship student 00:15:31.16\00:15:32.49 for their six-month medical missionary course, 00:15:32.53\00:15:35.16 the college of health evangelism they call it. 00:15:35.20\00:15:37.40 And so while working there, 00:15:37.43\00:15:39.23 I was working in maintenance 00:15:39.27\00:15:40.80 and one of my coworkers was a guy named 00:15:40.84\00:15:43.20 Arthur from Germany 00:15:43.24\00:15:45.21 and he was getting flight train, 00:15:45.24\00:15:46.57 going to the mission field and 00:15:46.61\00:15:47.98 really enthusiastic about it. 00:15:48.01\00:15:49.34 That's just kind of guy he is, 00:15:49.38\00:15:50.71 but he was excited about aviation. 00:15:50.75\00:15:52.08 And he said, Josh, 00:15:52.11\00:15:53.45 there's a big need in the mission field 00:15:53.48\00:15:54.82 for pilots that something, 00:15:54.85\00:15:56.18 I'd never been to the mission field 00:15:56.22\00:15:57.55 and just read stories. 00:15:57.59\00:15:58.92 But he said, it's an ongoing need 00:15:58.95\00:16:00.29 and it's easy to get planes, 00:16:00.32\00:16:01.66 but it's hard to get people to fly them. 00:16:01.69\00:16:03.49 So that's why he felt the burden. 00:16:03.53\00:16:05.03 He wanted to put his weight into that. 00:16:05.06\00:16:06.90 So he was all excited and we worked away. 00:16:06.93\00:16:08.80 Well, that's interesting, 00:16:08.83\00:16:10.27 but not, I was really interested 00:16:10.30\00:16:11.63 in at the point. 00:16:11.67\00:16:13.13 But once he got his private pilot's license, 00:16:13.17\00:16:14.77 he had to build hours to work 00:16:14.80\00:16:16.64 towards his commercial license. 00:16:16.67\00:16:18.21 So once he got his private, 00:16:18.24\00:16:19.77 he called me and said, Josh, you wanna go some place? 00:16:19.81\00:16:21.84 I gotta build some hours. Let's go some place flying. 00:16:21.88\00:16:23.68 I remember I was working 00:16:23.71\00:16:25.05 in the health food store at that time 00:16:25.08\00:16:26.41 and I was on the phone with him. 00:16:26.45\00:16:27.78 He said, Where do you want to go? 00:16:27.82\00:16:29.15 It was coming close to Thanksgiving. 00:16:29.18\00:16:30.75 So I asked him if he could fly me home 00:16:30.79\00:16:32.12 for Thanksgiving, 00:16:32.15\00:16:33.49 which is about to Kentucky, yeah. 00:16:33.52\00:16:34.86 So this is from Wildwood, 00:16:34.89\00:16:36.22 Georgia around Chattanooga area. 00:16:36.26\00:16:37.59 Yeah. 00:16:37.63\00:16:38.96 So it take about maybe about five hours 00:16:38.99\00:16:40.40 to get home typically. 00:16:40.43\00:16:42.26 But in a small plane took up two and a half hours. 00:16:42.30\00:16:45.83 So he's like, you know, 00:16:45.87\00:16:47.54 he planned it all out and make a real special. 00:16:47.57\00:16:48.97 He said, we'll get up early in the morning. 00:16:49.00\00:16:50.34 We'll see the sunrise, 00:16:50.37\00:16:51.71 we'll get your home by the morning 00:16:51.74\00:16:53.07 and to the little airport. 00:16:53.11\00:16:54.44 So we got up, you know, crack a dawn 00:16:54.48\00:16:55.94 and flew out of Collegedale airport there. 00:16:55.98\00:16:57.91 Yes. And I enrolled paper 140. 00:16:57.95\00:17:00.92 Okay. And landed there. 00:17:00.95\00:17:03.12 But in flight, I got the full feel of, 00:17:03.15\00:17:05.62 the full experience 00:17:05.65\00:17:06.99 grabbed the yoke and everything. 00:17:07.02\00:17:08.36 And it was kind of intimidating, 00:17:08.39\00:17:09.96 but I just thought how neat it was to be 00:17:09.99\00:17:11.63 able to be at another location, you know, on our schedule in 00:17:11.66\00:17:15.40 an expedient amount of time. 00:17:15.43\00:17:17.73 So we flew there real quickly. 00:17:17.77\00:17:19.30 And I just thought to myself, 00:17:19.33\00:17:20.67 if there's a need for people to do this, 00:17:20.70\00:17:22.34 I'm willing to do this for God. 00:17:22.37\00:17:25.21 Amen. 00:17:25.24\00:17:26.57 So that's kind of where the interest sprang from. 00:17:26.61\00:17:29.11 Oh, my. That's exciting. 00:17:29.14\00:17:31.15 And you had no interest in aviation whatsoever. 00:17:31.18\00:17:34.15 Nothing prior. 00:17:34.18\00:17:35.52 No previous real experience to count. 00:17:35.55\00:17:37.29 Nobody in my family did aviation at all. 00:17:37.32\00:17:39.75 So it was bare bones from scratch. 00:17:39.79\00:17:42.26 Not even computer piloting? 00:17:42.29\00:17:44.56 I think I played a couple of games, 00:17:44.59\00:17:45.93 you know, that's what I did. 00:17:45.96\00:17:47.33 But now, how did the Lord provide for that? 00:17:47.36\00:17:49.60 'Cause I know there... 00:17:49.63\00:17:50.97 As I'm looking at, you know, 00:17:51.00\00:17:52.60 'cause when you talk about pilot's license 00:17:52.63\00:17:54.34 and getting all that kind of training, 00:17:54.37\00:17:55.70 that could be pretty steep and expensive. 00:17:55.74\00:17:57.61 Yeah. Oh. yeah. 00:17:57.64\00:17:58.97 Because God opened the way. 00:17:59.01\00:18:00.34 So at that point I had no idea, 00:18:00.38\00:18:02.14 you know, I had nothing to reference it to 00:18:02.18\00:18:04.75 'cause I had no previous experience. 00:18:04.78\00:18:06.11 I didn't know how expensive it was, 00:18:06.15\00:18:07.82 but I knew it probably wasn't cheap. 00:18:07.85\00:18:09.28 I didn't have money to do really anything 00:18:09.32\00:18:11.55 as far as training goes, 00:18:11.59\00:18:13.22 but Arthur told me, he's like, you know, 00:18:13.25\00:18:14.96 God really opened door for me to do this. 00:18:14.99\00:18:16.32 I know that it's His will, 00:18:16.36\00:18:17.69 He can open the doors for you too. 00:18:17.73\00:18:19.06 That's right. Amen. 00:18:19.09\00:18:20.43 And it wasn't in the same way for him that 00:18:20.46\00:18:21.93 it was for me that God open the doors and, 00:18:21.96\00:18:25.23 you know, God leads people different ways, 00:18:25.27\00:18:27.54 but eventually God opened the same doors 00:18:27.57\00:18:29.64 and maybe a few additional ones 00:18:29.67\00:18:31.07 for me that He did for my friend Arthur. 00:18:31.11\00:18:34.01 So I initially started looking 00:18:34.04\00:18:38.81 for training in Michigan 00:18:38.85\00:18:40.72 and I was up there doing training for a while. 00:18:40.75\00:18:42.08 It was awful cold. 00:18:42.12\00:18:43.45 I was by myself, 00:18:43.49\00:18:44.82 living in a little apartment there. 00:18:44.85\00:18:46.19 And I started wondering 00:18:46.22\00:18:47.56 if there was better options back home. 00:18:47.59\00:18:49.42 So I checked out a closer airport 00:18:49.46\00:18:52.06 to where my mom lived down in Kentucky. 00:18:52.09\00:18:54.46 I found options were cheaper, construction was cheaper. 00:18:54.50\00:18:57.23 And I started thinking, 00:18:57.27\00:18:58.60 'cause at that point I was doing gutters to pay 00:18:58.63\00:19:00.67 for my housing as well as some flight train. 00:19:00.70\00:19:04.34 So I wanted to get actually in the business of aviation 00:19:04.37\00:19:07.18 to really learn it 00:19:07.21\00:19:08.54 'cause I was learning gutters in the same way 00:19:08.58\00:19:09.91 I was trying to fly 00:19:09.94\00:19:11.28 and I'd get all into aviation and really get a background. 00:19:11.31\00:19:13.65 What do you mean gutters? Oh, yeah. 00:19:13.68\00:19:15.35 Gutter installation, rain gutters. 00:19:15.38\00:19:16.82 Okay. Got you. Rain gutters. 00:19:16.85\00:19:18.22 Okay. Rain gutters. 00:19:18.25\00:19:19.75 Great boss, great people. 00:19:19.79\00:19:21.12 I was working for up in the Detroit Metro area, 00:19:21.16\00:19:24.13 but it wasn't, they would want to get into. 00:19:24.16\00:19:25.49 Right. 00:19:25.53\00:19:26.86 You gonna spend time learning this 00:19:26.90\00:19:28.23 and then it pays the bills, 00:19:28.26\00:19:29.60 but not really want to do is lifelong goal. 00:19:29.63\00:19:30.97 So we went and called back home 00:19:31.00\00:19:33.74 and asked about a job at a small airport 00:19:33.77\00:19:36.04 and talked to the airport manager 00:19:36.07\00:19:38.21 and he said, 00:19:38.24\00:19:39.57 well, it's funny you should call. 00:19:39.61\00:19:40.94 We have a guy who's a line, the line guy, 00:19:40.98\00:19:42.84 our line service technician or refueler essentially that 00:19:42.88\00:19:45.91 just broke his hand and we might be 00:19:45.95\00:19:47.98 looking for somebody here in near future. 00:19:48.02\00:19:50.15 So it kind of gave me a little glimmer of hope 00:19:50.19\00:19:52.39 and that was basically 00:19:52.42\00:19:54.12 all I had and I moved back home 00:19:54.16\00:19:55.56 within a month of that, for that job. 00:19:55.59\00:19:58.53 And I interviewed at the airport 00:19:58.56\00:20:00.96 once I got there and there wasn't work just yet. 00:20:01.00\00:20:03.43 The airport managers say once business picks up a little bit, 00:20:03.47\00:20:06.13 we'll give you a call. 00:20:06.17\00:20:07.64 So at that point I was like, well, what do I for now. 00:20:07.67\00:20:10.31 So I was just kind of tooling my thumbs 00:20:10.34\00:20:11.77 for a couple of weeks, 00:20:11.81\00:20:13.14 but then a fellow church member, 00:20:13.17\00:20:15.51 he's a contractor. 00:20:15.54\00:20:16.88 He had just built a house. 00:20:16.91\00:20:18.25 And in the fall of that year, it was, this was summer. 00:20:18.28\00:20:22.02 But a house, that same house got a tree 00:20:22.05\00:20:24.02 that fell on top of it. 00:20:24.05\00:20:25.42 And so the guy who built it, 00:20:25.45\00:20:27.06 my friend got the insurance job 00:20:27.09\00:20:28.92 to repair the house and he needed some help. 00:20:28.96\00:20:31.43 So he invited me to help him. 00:20:31.46\00:20:33.80 And that provided a work to the day that 00:20:33.83\00:20:36.13 I started work at the airport. 00:20:36.16\00:20:37.63 Wow. The Lord provide. 00:20:37.67\00:20:39.20 I hadn't had any word back from the airport, 00:20:39.23\00:20:41.17 you know, about that job. 00:20:41.20\00:20:42.54 And I was like scrambling, checking out options, 00:20:42.57\00:20:44.21 calling people, 00:20:44.24\00:20:45.84 I'm trying to figure out what to do. 00:20:45.87\00:20:47.48 And then one day I got two voicemails 00:20:47.51\00:20:49.94 and I didn't have good cell reception 00:20:49.98\00:20:51.31 where I was at. 00:20:51.35\00:20:52.68 So I climbed up on the roof of this house, 00:20:52.71\00:20:54.05 you know, trying to get these voicemails. 00:20:54.08\00:20:55.78 And it was two, one was from the airport saying 00:20:55.82\00:20:57.72 if you want a job show up on Monday. 00:20:57.75\00:20:59.19 And the other one was from just the day that 00:20:59.22\00:21:01.69 she got her visa to come to the States. 00:21:01.72\00:21:04.76 So after a while of waiting and, you know, 00:21:04.79\00:21:07.20 and really bite my nails, I had two good news. 00:21:07.23\00:21:09.66 Things happen in one instance. 00:21:09.70\00:21:12.13 And you also had bad news too, with your parents, right? 00:21:12.17\00:21:15.50 Yeah. 00:21:15.54\00:21:18.17 Looking around out the airport story. 00:21:18.21\00:21:19.94 You know, I got the job at the airport 00:21:19.97\00:21:21.31 and through that job, 00:21:21.34\00:21:22.68 I was able to get free instruction 00:21:22.71\00:21:26.01 from instructors that I made friends with. 00:21:26.05\00:21:27.98 I was able to use the aircraft 00:21:28.02\00:21:29.35 and just pay for the price of the fuel, 00:21:29.38\00:21:31.52 which cuts the price at about third of the price 00:21:31.55\00:21:34.12 you usually had to pay. 00:21:34.16\00:21:35.49 It's awesome. 00:21:35.52\00:21:36.86 So those two things, that's kind of how I was 00:21:36.89\00:21:38.23 able to get the flight training. 00:21:38.26\00:21:40.30 And I was able to get my maintenance licenses 00:21:40.33\00:21:42.90 through the apprenticeship. 00:21:42.93\00:21:45.30 You go to a school and pay 20, 50,000 for that, 00:21:45.33\00:21:48.34 but I got paid to do it. 00:21:48.37\00:21:49.70 God blessing. Wow. 00:21:49.74\00:21:51.07 He got paid to do it. That's a blessing. 00:21:51.11\00:21:52.77 What a blessing? See. 00:21:52.81\00:21:54.14 the thing about what we're hearing is the Lord 00:21:54.18\00:21:56.08 sees where you're headed 00:21:56.11\00:21:57.45 and He is kind of like clearing the path, 00:21:57.48\00:22:00.72 moving all the mountains 00:22:00.75\00:22:02.08 and the trees out of the way 00:22:02.12\00:22:03.89 and getting you ready for something that 00:22:03.92\00:22:05.69 now you look back on and you could see, 00:22:05.72\00:22:08.22 you climbed up to the roof of the house 00:22:08.26\00:22:10.39 and you got two of 00:22:10.43\00:22:11.79 the most important calls in your life. 00:22:11.83\00:22:14.56 You went up higher. 00:22:14.60\00:22:16.06 Take off, no pun intended, 00:22:16.10\00:22:17.90 but that's amazing how the Lord does that. 00:22:17.93\00:22:20.14 And so you've been with AWA, 00:22:20.17\00:22:23.64 but you were talking about that bad news. 00:22:23.67\00:22:25.21 I want to kind of get to that. 00:22:25.24\00:22:26.57 That was a kind of a kink in the journey you were taking. 00:22:26.61\00:22:29.54 So yeah, as we're pursuing the license as well, 00:22:29.58\00:22:31.88 just after I got my private pilot's license 00:22:31.91\00:22:34.02 that was 2000. 00:22:34.05\00:22:35.38 Yeah, on that same time frame. 00:22:35.42\00:22:39.09 My mom had developed cancer 00:22:39.12\00:22:40.49 while I was working on my pilot's license, 00:22:40.52\00:22:42.12 skin cancer and, the following summer 00:22:42.16\00:22:45.43 after I got my license, she passed away from it. 00:22:45.46\00:22:47.60 So sad. 00:22:47.63\00:22:48.96 And then the following month, I think that was June 00:22:49.00\00:22:51.87 and then July, my father passed away 00:22:51.90\00:22:53.23 from a heart attack. 00:22:53.27\00:22:54.60 Wow. Wow. 00:22:54.64\00:22:55.97 They weren't together. 00:22:56.00\00:22:57.34 They were divorced when I was young age, 00:22:57.37\00:22:58.71 but we were actually at the time 00:22:58.74\00:23:00.08 living with my father. 00:23:00.11\00:23:01.44 We were away doing some promotion stuff with AWA, 00:23:01.48\00:23:03.48 Oshkosh, Wisconsin. 00:23:03.51\00:23:04.85 Okay. But we... 00:23:04.88\00:23:07.02 We had a call. Yeah, we had a call. 00:23:07.05\00:23:08.58 We couldn't reach him in and elder went in 00:23:08.62\00:23:10.95 and checked in and he had a heart attack 00:23:10.99\00:23:13.05 there at home. 00:23:13.09\00:23:15.12 But you know, the doors, the Lord, 00:23:15.16\00:23:17.13 the beautiful thing about it is, you know, 00:23:17.16\00:23:19.16 when you're living for the Lord, you know, 00:23:19.19\00:23:20.53 you'll see your loved ones again. 00:23:20.56\00:23:22.53 A neat story here. 00:23:22.56\00:23:25.80 He had joined Adventist Church 00:23:25.83\00:23:27.17 whenever him and my mom got married. 00:23:27.20\00:23:29.77 But then left the church kind of disgruntled with the church 00:23:29.80\00:23:32.47 because of the relationship 00:23:32.51\00:23:33.84 there are falling out in different things. 00:23:33.88\00:23:35.71 But he moved to Kentucky just two years, basically, 00:23:35.74\00:23:39.35 maybe a little less than two years before he passed. 00:23:39.38\00:23:41.62 And eventually started coming to church with me. 00:23:41.65\00:23:43.62 Really? 00:23:43.65\00:23:44.99 And got relationship with the head elder 00:23:45.02\00:23:46.62 and they hang out lot. 00:23:46.65\00:23:47.99 And then they started going door to door 00:23:48.02\00:23:49.42 and handed out a literature and all stuff. 00:23:49.46\00:23:51.29 Doing special music. Special music. 00:23:51.33\00:23:53.13 And eventually he got baptized. What? 00:23:53.16\00:23:54.50 Amen. 00:23:54.53\00:23:55.86 Just a matter of months later is when he passed. 00:23:55.90\00:23:57.27 He was very excited. 00:23:57.30\00:23:58.63 He was gonna have a grandson, both of them. 00:23:58.67\00:24:01.87 He was at the church on that Sunday, 00:24:01.90\00:24:04.11 before he passed. 00:24:04.14\00:24:05.47 And one of the matriarchs from the church told us 00:24:05.51\00:24:07.81 later that he has a... 00:24:07.84\00:24:09.18 Your dad told me that, that Sunday he's so happy. 00:24:09.21\00:24:12.21 He's so happy he could die. 00:24:12.25\00:24:16.62 He says that? Yeah. 00:24:16.65\00:24:18.42 Wow. Wow. 00:24:18.45\00:24:19.95 Well, the beautiful thing 00:24:19.99\00:24:21.32 is he closed his eyes in the Lord. 00:24:21.36\00:24:22.69 And that's the main thing about it. 00:24:22.72\00:24:24.06 Yeah. We have another picture. 00:24:24.09\00:24:25.43 I want you to... 00:24:25.46\00:24:26.80 I want to bring it up and just have you explain 00:24:26.83\00:24:28.16 what we're seeing 00:24:28.20\00:24:29.53 'cause there are those who are... 00:24:29.56\00:24:30.90 Yeah. Yeah. 00:24:30.93\00:24:32.27 So a little more current. 00:24:32.30\00:24:33.64 This is just here recently going down to Nicaragua 00:24:33.67\00:24:37.37 for our pre-deployment trip. 00:24:37.41\00:24:39.21 So we went down there with the project manager 00:24:39.24\00:24:41.91 and his wife Ray and Julia Young, 00:24:41.94\00:24:43.58 they're on the left there, they're from Canada. 00:24:43.61\00:24:46.05 And so we went down there to get a feel 00:24:46.08\00:24:48.25 for the mission field essentially, 00:24:48.28\00:24:49.85 where we're going to be serving. 00:24:49.88\00:24:51.39 So we were down there for three months 00:24:51.42\00:24:53.56 with the Young's kind of getting some things 00:24:53.59\00:24:55.26 in order with the base and whatnot 00:24:55.29\00:24:57.06 and getting operations going, 00:24:57.09\00:24:58.56 had been dormant for a little bit, 00:24:58.59\00:24:59.93 not too awful long, 00:24:59.96\00:25:01.30 but we got a feel for the country. 00:25:01.33\00:25:02.86 Got a feel for the needs, 00:25:02.90\00:25:04.23 got to get networked a little bit 00:25:04.27\00:25:05.60 with some of the personalities down 00:25:05.63\00:25:06.97 there we'll be working along with, 00:25:07.00\00:25:08.34 and a really good experience. 00:25:08.37\00:25:09.70 We were expecting to go for about a month. 00:25:09.74\00:25:11.94 But Pastor Ric said three months 00:25:11.97\00:25:13.88 is probably what you're gonna need. 00:25:13.91\00:25:15.34 I was almost thrown back of that. 00:25:15.38\00:25:17.11 That's literally. That's a long trip there. 00:25:17.15\00:25:19.98 You don't think about bills back home, 00:25:20.02\00:25:21.42 but God provided and three months was 00:25:21.45\00:25:23.72 just what we needed just to get some things 00:25:23.75\00:25:25.95 in order down there 00:25:25.99\00:25:27.32 as well as get a feel for the country. 00:25:27.36\00:25:28.69 And your wife speaks Spanish. So that's a big help. 00:25:28.72\00:25:30.63 Yeah. Yeah. 00:25:30.66\00:25:31.99 Yeah. That was nice. 00:25:32.03\00:25:33.36 Even though they speak Miskito there too a lot. 00:25:33.40\00:25:35.16 And I did not understand anything what that Miskito. 00:25:35.20\00:25:38.87 It's a local indigenous people down there 00:25:38.90\00:25:40.77 and they speak in 00:25:40.80\00:25:42.14 different languages in Nicaragua, 00:25:42.17\00:25:43.51 as well as... 00:25:43.54\00:25:44.87 Miskito. Miskito. 00:25:44.91\00:25:46.24 Miskito. It sounds like the bug. 00:25:46.27\00:25:47.61 Yeah. I was thinking that. 00:25:47.64\00:25:49.18 That's what I was thinking. 00:25:49.21\00:25:50.55 I was kind of preventing myself from going there, 00:25:50.58\00:25:52.71 but it sounds so close. 00:25:52.75\00:25:54.08 Yeah. That's very interesting. Yeah. 00:25:54.12\00:25:55.45 So project in Nicaragua is in the Northeastern portion 00:25:55.48\00:25:57.99 of Nicaragua in the mountains. 00:25:58.02\00:25:59.75 So it's isolated. It's not... 00:25:59.79\00:26:01.62 And I believe Yosi is the speck in the jungle, 00:26:01.66\00:26:05.09 but found like a kind of a... 00:26:05.13\00:26:07.36 Pine Savannah. Yes. 00:26:07.40\00:26:08.73 Savannah pines. A lot of pines. 00:26:08.76\00:26:10.50 Yeah. 00:26:10.53\00:26:11.87 Not too far away from the jungle, 00:26:11.90\00:26:13.23 but we're just in, through the end of 00:26:13.27\00:26:14.60 the pines savannah there and a lot of pine trees, 00:26:14.64\00:26:18.17 I had never seen any place like it. 00:26:18.21\00:26:19.54 Probably hills. Where do you land? 00:26:19.57\00:26:20.91 Is there a landing strip? Yes. 00:26:20.94\00:26:22.28 Yeah. There's a little landing strip. 00:26:22.31\00:26:23.65 It used to be an old air force base actually. 00:26:23.68\00:26:25.01 Wow. 00:26:25.05\00:26:26.38 Before that, I believe it serves the, 00:26:26.41\00:26:28.88 some of the gringos as they call them down there 00:26:28.92\00:26:30.99 where they would export pine sap from these pine trees. 00:26:31.02\00:26:34.02 I think, I'm not sure if it came with the gringos 00:26:34.06\00:26:36.32 or came with the military, of the air strip. 00:26:36.36\00:26:38.96 But at a really decent airstrip, 00:26:38.99\00:26:40.33 Ric serving long for its sap. 00:26:40.36\00:26:42.76 And how, what was your mode of transportation 00:26:42.80\00:26:45.83 after you land your mode of transportation? 00:26:45.87\00:26:48.87 How far did you have to travel to get to the places 00:26:48.90\00:26:51.07 that you were in the ministry? 00:26:51.11\00:26:52.44 Yeah. 00:26:52.47\00:26:53.81 That's a long story, so we'll start it from the top. 00:26:53.84\00:26:57.35 But getting down there, you know, 00:26:57.38\00:26:58.71 we had to get COVID test to get it down there, 00:26:58.75\00:27:00.72 'cause of the pandemic. 00:27:00.75\00:27:02.08 We didn't know how we were going to do that. 00:27:02.12\00:27:04.15 'Cause we were in route to North Carolina, 00:27:04.19\00:27:05.65 but we found out that 00:27:05.69\00:27:07.02 wasn't gonna work in North Carolina. 00:27:07.06\00:27:08.39 We stopped at a random place in West Virginia 00:27:08.42\00:27:09.92 and a place opened up right where we stopped for lunch 00:27:09.96\00:27:12.56 to take a COVID test that had the turn around time 00:27:12.59\00:27:14.80 that we needed to get the results 00:27:14.83\00:27:16.33 turned into the airlines. 00:27:16.36\00:27:17.73 So then once we got on the airlines, 00:27:17.77\00:27:19.10 we flew from Raleigh to Miami, 00:27:19.13\00:27:21.50 spent the night in Miami, flew from Miami to Managua, 00:27:21.54\00:27:24.34 which is the capital of Nicaragua. 00:27:24.37\00:27:26.07 On the other side of the country. 00:27:26.11\00:27:27.44 On the Pacific side, the Western side. 00:27:27.48\00:27:29.08 Wow. 00:27:29.11\00:27:30.45 So we spent about a week 00:27:30.48\00:27:31.81 there taking care of some business. 00:27:31.85\00:27:33.18 And then we took a van from Managua 00:27:33.21\00:27:34.85 to the opposite coast on the Atlantic side, 00:27:34.88\00:27:37.02 Eastern coast that took about 18 hours I think with... 00:27:37.05\00:27:41.26 By road? Yeah. 00:27:41.29\00:27:42.89 By road. Did you have your boys? 00:27:42.92\00:27:45.53 Yes. Of course. 00:27:45.56\00:27:46.90 That must've been a lot of fun. 00:27:46.93\00:27:48.93 It was a little rough too, because you know, 00:27:48.96\00:27:52.23 you're new to the country, your stomach, 00:27:52.27\00:27:54.30 it's also getting used to the new place. 00:27:54.34\00:27:57.07 So our older one here was puking, yeah. 00:27:57.11\00:28:01.94 But we made it. 00:28:01.98\00:28:03.58 Now, you think you have a short video clip 00:28:03.61\00:28:05.61 of the drive going on. 00:28:05.65\00:28:07.18 We have a little bit of, a little bit of a clip 00:28:07.22\00:28:08.72 from showing the roads and also some transportation. 00:28:08.75\00:28:11.15 So once we got to the coast, 00:28:11.19\00:28:13.05 we had another two hour drive, 00:28:13.09\00:28:15.46 two and a half hour drive up to the base 00:28:15.49\00:28:17.53 and we took the small base truck, 00:28:17.56\00:28:18.89 I think we have a picture of the truck. 00:28:18.93\00:28:20.26 It was a video, some of the rough roads there. 00:28:20.30\00:28:23.10 This isn't the same road to the base, 00:28:23.13\00:28:25.00 but it's the... 00:28:25.03\00:28:26.37 Another stretch of it, 00:28:26.40\00:28:27.90 basically shows a little bit of how it looks, 00:28:27.94\00:28:29.34 a lot of pine trees, 00:28:29.37\00:28:30.71 potholes would just jump out, it's kind of... 00:28:30.74\00:28:33.71 You did 18 hours of something like that? 00:28:33.74\00:28:35.88 Something like that. Yeah. 00:28:35.91\00:28:37.25 Well some of it was paved. 00:28:37.28\00:28:38.61 Some of it was like that, we should say. 00:28:38.65\00:28:40.62 The road to the base from the coastal city is about 00:28:40.65\00:28:44.52 like that dirt, the whole way, 00:28:44.55\00:28:46.32 potholes, intermittently. 00:28:46.35\00:28:47.69 Sometimes it'd be a nice stretch of smooth, 00:28:47.72\00:28:49.92 you know, get up speed. 00:28:49.96\00:28:51.29 And then all of a sudden there's a pothole. 00:28:51.33\00:28:52.66 You'll be winding it up 00:28:52.69\00:28:54.03 trying to not hit the heads on the roof. 00:28:54.06\00:28:56.73 Yeah. No potty stops anywhere? 00:28:56.77\00:28:58.63 Rest areas? Anywhere you want. 00:28:58.67\00:29:02.04 It's very remote, you know, 00:29:02.07\00:29:03.41 so there's not a whole lot of traffic 00:29:03.44\00:29:05.01 through the area you'll, you'll come through a village 00:29:05.04\00:29:07.14 and then it'll be just open and nowhere for a long time. 00:29:07.18\00:29:10.95 That's a plus of having boys. Very flexible. 00:29:10.98\00:29:15.72 What will you be doing in Nicaragua? 00:29:15.75\00:29:18.59 So basically the project's 00:29:18.62\00:29:19.95 been there for about 12 years, roughly. 00:29:19.99\00:29:22.32 It's been serving mainly 00:29:22.36\00:29:24.36 through medivacs to the local little towns 00:29:24.39\00:29:26.59 and airstrips to a bigger hospital. 00:29:26.63\00:29:29.03 That's what the main bread and butter is. 00:29:29.06\00:29:31.73 So the places are hard to get to, 00:29:31.77\00:29:34.00 the roads are even rougher than what you saw in the video 00:29:34.04\00:29:36.04 there sometimes, especially in the rainy season 00:29:36.07\00:29:37.81 with the traffic, 00:29:37.84\00:29:39.17 the potholes just get to be lakes. 00:29:39.21\00:29:41.14 And it's hard to get places. 00:29:41.18\00:29:43.48 One of the main hospitals we serve is three hours away 00:29:43.51\00:29:45.65 from the main hospital on the coast. 00:29:45.68\00:29:48.15 That's, you know, when the roads 00:29:48.18\00:29:49.52 are in good condition. 00:29:49.55\00:29:50.92 So a lot of times we'll be taking people 00:29:50.95\00:29:52.75 from that hospital to the larger hospital, 00:29:52.79\00:29:54.62 as well as some other neighboring communities 00:29:54.66\00:29:56.16 to the larger hospital. 00:29:56.19\00:29:57.93 The main hospital will be served, 00:29:57.96\00:29:59.29 it's about 35 minutes drive away 00:29:59.33\00:30:01.00 from where the basis is a small hospital. 00:30:01.03\00:30:03.47 Very, very much limited as to what they can do there. 00:30:03.50\00:30:06.74 Any kind of major surgery has to go to the coast 00:30:06.77\00:30:09.17 and they service 114 communities, 00:30:09.20\00:30:12.34 a very large amount. 00:30:12.37\00:30:14.11 And some of those communities can be, 00:30:14.14\00:30:15.48 you know, just maybe five families to, 00:30:15.51\00:30:17.41 you know, maybe hundreds of people. 00:30:17.45\00:30:19.98 Maybe they have a clinic, maybe they don't, 00:30:20.02\00:30:22.05 but they service a lot of folks. 00:30:22.08\00:30:23.92 And some of those folks need to travel hours 00:30:23.95\00:30:25.45 by either trail road or boat to get to them, 00:30:25.49\00:30:29.19 let alone to the big hospital. 00:30:29.22\00:30:30.56 Wow. 00:30:30.59\00:30:31.93 So our main thing is to take and make that region 00:30:31.96\00:30:33.93 a little smaller by air travel 00:30:33.96\00:30:35.43 so they can get to the healthcare 00:30:35.46\00:30:36.80 that they need in a expedient manner. 00:30:36.83\00:30:38.17 Yeah. 00:30:38.20\00:30:39.53 You have a picture of some of the families 00:30:39.57\00:30:40.90 that you minister to there. 00:30:40.94\00:30:42.27 Yeah. Oh, yeah. 00:30:42.30\00:30:43.64 Because it's pretty interesting. 00:30:43.67\00:30:45.01 Let's look at that right now 00:30:45.04\00:30:46.37 and just tell us what we're looking at here? 00:30:46.41\00:30:47.74 So this family here has 00:30:47.78\00:30:49.11 a little bit of a background story. 00:30:49.14\00:30:51.18 I think the lady in the back underneath the house 00:30:51.21\00:30:53.58 there was the main lady that we helped. 00:30:53.62\00:30:57.15 We got a call from the community nurse 00:30:57.19\00:30:58.92 saying that we have a serious case 00:30:58.95\00:31:00.29 needs to the hospital. 00:31:00.32\00:31:01.66 And this was after Sabbath on Saturday, 00:31:01.69\00:31:04.79 we were with Ray and Julie with popcorn smoothies, 00:31:04.83\00:31:07.33 some typical Adventist thing. 00:31:07.36\00:31:09.96 And she got a call from a nurse and said, 00:31:10.00\00:31:12.07 there's a serious case needs to get the hospital ASAP. 00:31:12.10\00:31:14.70 And this was after dark. 00:31:14.74\00:31:16.07 So I got on the truck, went over to these folks' house 00:31:16.10\00:31:18.37 and pull up and there's maybe 15 people 00:31:18.41\00:31:22.14 all gathered around and I'm guessing family. 00:31:22.18\00:31:24.58 And they come out and there's two young guys 00:31:24.61\00:31:26.18 carrying this lady. 00:31:26.21\00:31:27.55 And she looks by all evidence is kind of unresponsive. 00:31:27.58\00:31:30.82 She was limp as they were carrying her. 00:31:30.85\00:31:32.35 And they carried her to the vehicle. 00:31:32.39\00:31:34.26 And she lay there in the back 00:31:34.29\00:31:35.62 with a lady supporting her head in her lap 00:31:35.66\00:31:38.23 and the nurse got in the front. 00:31:38.26\00:31:39.59 So we head to the hospital 00:31:39.63\00:31:40.96 and she was just motionless, didn't make a noise. 00:31:41.00\00:31:43.47 Until about halfway to the hospital, 00:31:43.50\00:31:45.67 she started vomiting and it would just dry-heave. 00:31:45.70\00:31:49.60 And I talked to the nurse with the limited Spanish I have 00:31:49.64\00:31:52.27 and ask her, you know, what she has. 00:31:52.31\00:31:53.98 And she said on, 00:31:54.01\00:31:55.34 I don't know if she's just doing this all day. 00:31:55.38\00:31:57.98 And so she was just dry-heaving. 00:31:58.01\00:31:59.35 I was like, man, I wish she stopped 00:31:59.38\00:32:00.88 'cause I know how that can be painful. 00:32:00.92\00:32:02.75 That's where I sent up a prayer. 00:32:02.78\00:32:04.12 And she after maybe a minute she stopped. 00:32:04.15\00:32:08.02 Amen. 00:32:08.06\00:32:09.39 And once we got to the hospital, 00:32:09.42\00:32:10.76 she maybe dry-heaved a couple more times, 00:32:10.79\00:32:12.13 but then it stopped 00:32:12.16\00:32:13.50 and they were able to care for her. 00:32:13.53\00:32:14.86 And as you can see there, she was fine. 00:32:14.90\00:32:16.23 But the way she looked, 00:32:16.26\00:32:17.60 I didn't know if she was gonna make it out, 00:32:17.63\00:32:18.97 but she was fine. 00:32:19.00\00:32:20.34 So later on Yosi is like, well, 00:32:20.37\00:32:21.74 we want to do some outreach in the community. 00:32:21.77\00:32:23.71 And we want to hand out some books. 00:32:23.74\00:32:25.07 And I said, well, why don't we visit the people 00:32:25.11\00:32:26.44 we were able to service? 00:32:26.47\00:32:28.44 See how they're doing. 00:32:28.48\00:32:29.81 They should probably be a little more 00:32:29.84\00:32:31.18 open to receiving a book. 00:32:31.21\00:32:32.81 So we were giving out Steps to Christ 00:32:32.85\00:32:34.18 to a number of families that we had helped. 00:32:34.22\00:32:35.55 And they were one of them and they received us warmly. 00:32:35.58\00:32:38.62 Now, Bruce angel flights. What is that? 00:32:38.65\00:32:42.22 Well, angel flights or humanitarian flights, 00:32:42.26\00:32:44.99 basically, they're just different organizations 00:32:45.03\00:32:47.40 throughout the US but Adventist World Aviation 00:32:47.43\00:32:50.17 based in Smithfield, North Carolina. 00:32:50.20\00:32:51.63 We do angel flights based on people calling us, pastors, 00:32:51.67\00:32:56.84 community, friends, 00:32:56.87\00:32:58.57 or that need a patient that perhaps they have cancer. 00:32:58.61\00:33:02.41 Perhaps they have a serious medical appointment. 00:33:02.44\00:33:04.55 I guess not for emergency care, 00:33:04.58\00:33:06.41 but if they have to get to their appointment, 00:33:06.45\00:33:07.78 it's a long distance 00:33:07.82\00:33:09.15 and they don't have a means to do it. 00:33:09.18\00:33:10.99 A small plane can make the difference. 00:33:11.02\00:33:12.75 For example, recently we I think Josh 00:33:12.79\00:33:16.02 just did a flight for individual from Asheville, 00:33:16.06\00:33:18.43 North Carolina to Arkansas. Yeah. 00:33:18.46\00:33:20.43 And that was... Was this the lady with cancer? 00:33:20.46\00:33:22.76 No, that was a different one, yeah. 00:33:22.80\00:33:24.73 So angel flights don't necessarily 00:33:24.77\00:33:26.30 even have to be a medical flight, 00:33:26.33\00:33:27.67 could be for any other humanitarian reason. 00:33:27.70\00:33:29.04 Yes. 00:33:29.07\00:33:30.41 And this lady was a prime example. 00:33:30.44\00:33:31.94 She was coming from a domestic abuse situation 00:33:31.97\00:33:34.91 and needed to get to a court date back 00:33:34.94\00:33:38.31 where the situation had occurred. 00:33:38.35\00:33:39.68 And that was gonna be a 10-hour drive. 00:33:39.71\00:33:41.05 Wow. 00:33:41.08\00:33:42.42 She didn't have a vehicle 00:33:42.45\00:33:43.79 and public transport can be kind of rough, 00:33:43.82\00:33:45.15 especially with COVID right now. 00:33:45.19\00:33:46.52 Emotional. Yeah. 00:33:46.55\00:33:47.89 Emotional situation as well. 00:33:47.92\00:33:49.26 And an airline, you know, 00:33:49.29\00:33:50.63 couldn't get her very close to where she was at. 00:33:50.66\00:33:52.09 So having somebody pick her up was gonna be an issue. 00:33:52.13\00:33:54.53 So she got in touch with through some friends. 00:33:54.56\00:33:57.57 Actually they got in touch for her, 00:33:57.60\00:33:59.43 with Pastor Ric and he gave me a call 00:33:59.47\00:34:01.80 and that week all planned out, 00:34:01.84\00:34:04.17 I cut trees for a living for myself. 00:34:04.21\00:34:06.47 And I had a week all planned out what to do. 00:34:06.51\00:34:07.98 And he gives me a call and said, hey, 00:34:08.01\00:34:10.65 can you do an angel flight? 00:34:10.68\00:34:12.01 Well, I got a whole week planned out, 00:34:12.05\00:34:13.38 you know, and I hate changing directions, 00:34:13.42\00:34:15.42 but I know what it's like 00:34:15.45\00:34:17.09 to have a door opened up when I really need one. 00:34:17.12\00:34:18.72 So I want it to be that door for her and be God's hands. 00:34:18.75\00:34:21.72 And plus I had just cut my finger 00:34:21.76\00:34:23.26 sharpening the chainsaw. 00:34:23.29\00:34:25.33 It was steel? Yeah. 00:34:25.36\00:34:26.83 Steel chainsaw. 00:34:26.86\00:34:28.20 So I think it probably should have 00:34:28.23\00:34:30.63 had a chance to heal anyway. 00:34:30.67\00:34:32.00 So that was a good chance 00:34:32.03\00:34:33.37 to have a low traffic from my finger. 00:34:33.40\00:34:35.94 And so was able to go 00:34:35.97\00:34:37.51 to North Carolina pickup the plane, 00:34:37.54\00:34:40.18 pick her up in Asheville and take her to Arkansas. 00:34:40.21\00:34:42.54 I think you have a picture of her? 00:34:42.58\00:34:43.91 Yeah. 00:34:43.95\00:34:45.28 Later we have a picture 00:34:45.31\00:34:46.65 there staying next to the plane, 00:34:46.68\00:34:48.02 actually was the same plane 00:34:48.05\00:34:49.38 it's gonna be going to Nicaragua. 00:34:49.42\00:34:50.75 Okay. 00:34:50.79\00:34:52.12 So Cessna 182, it's been outfitted 00:34:52.15\00:34:53.49 with a larger tires and modified leading edge 00:34:53.52\00:34:54.92 to make it go slower with ease, 00:34:54.96\00:34:57.26 longer wings, modified interior as well, more utilitarian. 00:34:57.29\00:35:00.00 Okay. 00:35:00.03\00:35:01.36 So you've made the wings a little longer? 00:35:01.40\00:35:02.73 Yeah. Yeah. 00:35:02.76\00:35:04.10 Okay. I like that. 00:35:04.13\00:35:05.47 You fly that all the way in Nicaragua. 00:35:05.50\00:35:06.84 Yeah. It's gonna be flying. 00:35:06.87\00:35:08.20 Yeah. 00:35:08.24\00:35:09.57 So some places, you know, 00:35:09.60\00:35:10.94 planes need to be put in containers, 00:35:10.97\00:35:12.31 maybe if we're going to the South Pacific. 00:35:12.34\00:35:13.68 How many times do you have to stop? 00:35:13.71\00:35:15.04 Do you have an idea? Oh, that's a good question. 00:35:15.08\00:35:17.35 We'll say four or rough out four maybe, maybe more. 00:35:17.38\00:35:20.82 About six-hour flight range. It's six hours supplements. 00:35:20.85\00:35:24.92 With the tanks it has, withour exhilarated tanks 00:35:24.95\00:35:26.72 it's more like four hours probably safely. 00:35:26.76\00:35:29.72 And your wife joins you in humanitarian role. 00:35:29.76\00:35:33.09 You do humanitarian work with AWA? 00:35:33.13\00:35:35.96 She wears a lot of hats. Yeah. 00:35:36.00\00:35:38.10 I do a lot of the house whenever. 00:35:38.13\00:35:41.17 Well, when I was in Nicaragua there they speak Spanish. 00:35:41.20\00:35:44.64 So they'll come and I'll see what they need. 00:35:44.67\00:35:47.94 How can we help them? 00:35:47.98\00:35:50.18 And, yeah, take care of whatever else 00:35:50.21\00:35:52.61 is needed to be taken. 00:35:52.65\00:35:54.05 She's a cook and a mother, a translator, hostess. 00:35:54.08\00:35:58.99 Yeah. A lot of different things. 00:35:59.02\00:36:00.62 There was one thing 00:36:00.66\00:36:02.19 I said every person that comes here. 00:36:02.22\00:36:04.39 At least I wanna give them a good cup of water, 00:36:04.43\00:36:07.06 'cause sometimes they don't drink water 00:36:07.10\00:36:09.30 and they have like a headache 00:36:09.33\00:36:10.90 and we just tell them, have you drink water? 00:36:10.93\00:36:13.44 And they're like, oh no. 00:36:13.47\00:36:15.00 So everyone that came, 00:36:15.04\00:36:16.60 I was like, would you like some water? 00:36:16.64\00:36:18.47 Oh, you know, I think yes. Aqua. 00:36:18.51\00:36:21.14 Aqua, yeah. 00:36:21.18\00:36:22.91 Refrigerator with some, where can you 00:36:22.94\00:36:24.28 throw a couple of ice cubes in there if they want it. 00:36:24.31\00:36:25.65 Yeah. They enjoy that. 00:36:25.68\00:36:27.02 It's filtered, comes out of the well, you know, so. 00:36:27.05\00:36:29.48 They're happy to receive a nice cold glass. 00:36:29.52\00:36:31.02 Amen. Now, Bruce, how was it... 00:36:31.05\00:36:33.05 How were these funded, how were these projects funded? 00:36:33.09\00:36:35.72 Well, we're self-supporting ministry independent ministry 00:36:35.76\00:36:38.26 and we have to, 00:36:38.29\00:36:39.63 100% of our funds are raised by missionaries 00:36:39.66\00:36:42.56 and through donations, 00:36:42.60\00:36:44.50 through charitable giving whether it's churches, 00:36:44.53\00:36:47.00 whether it's individuals 00:36:47.04\00:36:48.40 or even companies have contribute 00:36:48.44\00:36:50.91 to Adventist World Aviation. 00:36:50.94\00:36:52.57 So the missionaries, as part of their calling, see, 00:36:52.61\00:36:56.04 we have people sometimes ask us, 00:36:56.08\00:36:57.65 we have pilots and mechanics calls us. 00:36:57.68\00:36:59.18 Do you have any jobs available? 00:36:59.21\00:37:00.85 'Cause I'm an Adventist and I want a job. 00:37:00.88\00:37:02.85 Well, we have very few jobs. 00:37:02.88\00:37:05.55 We have lots of opportunities for callings. 00:37:05.59\00:37:08.29 If you're being called to serve, 00:37:08.32\00:37:10.26 if you're being called, we need you. 00:37:10.29\00:37:12.66 There you go. 00:37:12.69\00:37:14.03 So if you're a pilot mechanic 00:37:14.06\00:37:15.96 or if you feel God's calling you 00:37:16.00\00:37:17.40 to serve in a foreign mission field, 00:37:17.43\00:37:19.23 we have opportunities available. 00:37:19.27\00:37:21.24 Please reach out and contact us 00:37:21.27\00:37:22.70 because we want people that are called. 00:37:22.74\00:37:25.51 'cause when you're called, 00:37:25.54\00:37:26.88 but God calls, He enables and we just heard... 00:37:26.91\00:37:29.54 Provides. Yeah. 00:40:49.91\00:40:51.58 Yeah. Here's a... 00:40:51.61\00:40:53.05 This is after I dropped this lady off 00:40:53.08\00:40:54.95 of the angel flight flying through some clouds. 00:40:54.98\00:40:57.19 Yeah. I had a lot of storms. 00:40:57.22\00:40:59.19 I was flying through getting out there to 00:40:59.22\00:41:00.99 where I dropped her off. 00:41:01.02\00:41:02.69 And then coming back, I had a lot as well, 00:41:02.72\00:41:05.36 a big line of storms 00:41:05.39\00:41:06.83 and I talked to the ATC air traffic controller 00:41:06.86\00:41:10.37 and I was like, is there a way that 00:41:10.40\00:41:11.73 you can get me around these storms? 00:41:11.77\00:41:13.57 And he was like, well, 00:41:13.60\00:41:14.97 I don't really see anything if you're asking me. 00:41:15.00\00:41:18.21 In other words, great, navigate around the best you can. 00:41:18.24\00:41:21.14 Yeah, yes, I'm looking at a feed 00:41:21.18\00:41:23.04 of the weather on my iPad there. 00:41:23.08\00:41:26.08 And I saw an airport that was just right 00:41:26.11\00:41:28.82 where the precipitation was starting. 00:41:28.85\00:41:30.32 I was coming up behind the storms, 00:41:30.35\00:41:31.69 so I went down. 00:41:31.72\00:41:33.15 I was going to land at that airport 00:41:33.19\00:41:34.52 and just kind of reevaluate. 00:41:34.56\00:41:35.99 So I flew over the airport just under the clouds. 00:41:36.02\00:41:40.13 And then I started seeing it opened up to the south. 00:41:40.16\00:41:43.00 So I went to the south as it was kind of opening up 00:41:43.03\00:41:45.77 and I started climbing. 00:41:45.80\00:41:47.14 I said, well, it's opening enough here. 00:41:47.17\00:41:48.80 So at the story of my life, 00:41:48.84\00:41:50.54 you know, that God opened the door 00:41:50.57\00:41:52.47 and the precipitation was lighter. 00:41:52.51\00:41:53.98 I went between a couple layers. 00:41:54.01\00:41:55.34 I got back on the, 00:41:55.38\00:41:56.71 on my flight plan with air traffic control 00:41:56.75\00:41:58.11 and continued on my way. 00:41:58.15\00:41:59.91 But as the video kind of illustrates, you know, 00:41:59.95\00:42:01.85 sometimes we don't know 00:42:01.88\00:42:03.22 when the next hole is gonna to happen, 00:42:03.25\00:42:05.12 where you see some blue sky. 00:42:05.15\00:42:06.82 But we just had to go forward with instruments, you know, 00:42:06.86\00:42:08.89 knowing that God was leading us thus far 00:42:08.92\00:42:10.33 and to continue to how we were going. 00:42:10.36\00:42:12.33 And then the blue skies happened 00:42:12.36\00:42:13.86 and smooth there after that. 00:42:13.90\00:42:16.16 So that was, I feel great. Yes, that's beautiful. 00:42:16.20\00:42:19.17 Your website, I went on there and it's what I like is it says 00:42:19.20\00:42:24.54 building bridges for saving lives. 00:42:24.57\00:42:27.18 Amen. I love that. 00:42:27.21\00:42:28.64 And then also what I like is you go... 00:42:28.68\00:42:30.91 You boldly go where no missionary 00:42:30.95\00:42:34.15 has gone before. 00:42:34.18\00:42:35.72 I mean, you see the jungles. 00:42:35.75\00:42:37.29 I looked on that video on I'm looking, 00:42:37.32\00:42:39.35 wow, look at those. 00:42:39.39\00:42:42.19 What do you call that? 00:42:42.22\00:42:43.56 The runways that you have to land on. 00:42:43.59\00:42:46.59 Some of them are pretty bumpy, huh? 00:42:46.63\00:42:48.53 Yeah. 00:42:48.56\00:42:49.90 We try to be as, as ready for 00:42:49.93\00:42:52.20 whatever we might experience when we go there. 00:42:52.23\00:42:54.37 And we have planes that are outfitted 00:42:54.40\00:42:55.74 to experience those kinds of things 00:42:55.77\00:42:57.21 without falling apart. 00:42:57.24\00:42:58.87 But I had the advantage 00:42:58.91\00:43:00.41 of where I did my flight training, 00:43:00.44\00:43:01.94 where I'm from, well, 00:43:01.98\00:43:03.31 there's a number of grass airstrips 00:43:03.35\00:43:04.68 I was able to practice on. 00:43:04.71\00:43:06.05 I think some of them were shut down now, 00:43:06.08\00:43:07.42 but they were on different grades and whatnot. 00:43:07.45\00:43:08.98 Some of them were on a hill basically. 00:43:09.02\00:43:12.45 Landing up hill? 00:43:12.49\00:43:13.82 Yeah, landing up hill, taking off, 00:43:13.86\00:43:15.19 going downhill, you turn around and go down the other way. 00:43:15.22\00:43:17.13 So we had that advantage 00:43:17.16\00:43:18.79 of being able to practice a little bit, 00:43:18.83\00:43:21.00 but airplanes can go in some places 00:43:21.03\00:43:22.76 where you might not think possible. 00:43:22.80\00:43:24.30 Now you also fly supplies to villages. 00:43:24.33\00:43:27.10 Talk about some of those experiences. 00:43:27.14\00:43:28.47 Yeah. 00:43:28.50\00:43:29.84 So basically aviation, our main tool is medivacs, 00:43:29.87\00:43:33.21 but we're really trying to meet people's needs where, 00:43:33.24\00:43:35.24 wherever and whatever they may be. 00:43:35.28\00:43:37.05 So if that is, you know, 00:43:37.08\00:43:38.68 that's developed transporting some food, 00:43:38.71\00:43:41.22 that's transporting gospel workers and pastors. 00:43:41.25\00:43:43.75 Antivenom. 00:43:43.79\00:43:45.12 Antivenom is another example 00:43:45.15\00:43:46.49 that was done down there in Nicaragua. 00:43:46.52\00:43:48.32 And there was a boy in one of these remote villages 00:43:48.36\00:43:50.26 who got bit by fer-de-lance, 00:43:50.29\00:43:52.46 a very venomous viper, viper down there. 00:43:52.49\00:43:56.06 And the missionary that was down there was, 00:43:56.10\00:43:59.30 I was at ends of what to do. 00:43:59.33\00:44:01.67 And because it wasn't a runway that was open for him, 00:44:01.70\00:44:05.31 they had a runway at the village, 00:44:05.34\00:44:06.68 but it wasn't open. 00:44:06.71\00:44:08.04 So what he did was he took the antivenom 00:44:08.08\00:44:09.81 and he wrapped it in some cushions 00:44:09.84\00:44:11.58 and he flew low and slow 00:44:11.61\00:44:12.95 over this runway and booted it out. 00:44:12.98\00:44:14.98 And they were able to get those 00:44:15.02\00:44:16.35 and had enough antivenom vials that survived to help the boy. 00:44:16.38\00:44:18.82 Wow. 00:44:18.85\00:44:20.19 And the government approved the entrance 00:44:20.22\00:44:22.02 on the airstrip the next day 00:44:22.06\00:44:24.06 he was able to do carry the kid out of there. 00:44:24.09\00:44:27.33 That's another thing in Nicaragua. 00:44:27.36\00:44:28.76 We have to, of course, everywhere, 00:44:28.80\00:44:30.13 you have to have permission before you take off a flight. 00:44:30.17\00:44:31.77 That's right. 00:44:31.80\00:44:33.13 And there, they have, 00:44:33.17\00:44:34.60 they also have to coordinate with the army. 00:44:34.64\00:44:36.94 They bring out armed soldiers 00:44:36.97\00:44:39.14 and are surrounding in the airfield. 00:44:39.17\00:44:41.14 So they're looking for nefarious individuals 00:44:41.18\00:44:44.48 that may not have good intentions, 00:44:44.51\00:44:47.32 like drug traffickers, contraband, et cetera. 00:44:47.35\00:44:49.95 It's all part of that code over drug motions 00:44:49.98\00:44:51.55 in South America to North America. 00:44:51.59\00:44:53.56 If I heard you correctly, he didn't really land. 00:44:53.59\00:44:55.22 He just flew a few knots 00:44:55.26\00:44:56.59 above stall just to give the things out. 00:44:56.62\00:44:58.96 Yeah. 00:44:58.99\00:45:01.03 A lot different ways to use a tool of aviation. 00:45:01.06\00:45:03.53 You know, there's a reason we're there. 00:45:03.57\00:45:04.90 There's just that infrastructure 00:45:04.93\00:45:06.53 that people rely upon over here. 00:45:06.57\00:45:08.80 Where I try to explain to people 00:45:08.84\00:45:10.17 in North America is we liked 00:45:10.21\00:45:11.54 the thought of having a helicopter 00:45:11.57\00:45:12.91 within a short distance to take us 00:45:12.94\00:45:14.54 to a hospital in a hurry if we need to. 00:45:14.58\00:45:16.85 But over there, they just don't have 00:45:16.88\00:45:18.21 the infrastructure where that's in place. 00:45:18.25\00:45:20.08 So we're there with airplanes 00:45:20.12\00:45:22.32 and basically provide the same service 00:45:22.35\00:45:24.25 that we enjoy over here getting us around traffic. 00:45:24.29\00:45:26.42 And around here, it's pretty flat, 00:45:26.45\00:45:28.62 but in Kentucky, there's a lot of hills 00:45:28.66\00:45:29.99 that can really slow you down. 00:45:30.03\00:45:31.36 Yeah. 00:45:31.39\00:45:32.73 Over there, you either don't have a road 00:45:32.76\00:45:34.10 or maybe they have the road in the hills. 00:45:34.13\00:45:35.76 So it provides a way for them 00:45:35.80\00:45:37.20 to get the hospital in timely manner. 00:45:37.23\00:45:38.87 And with medical is a golden hour. 00:45:38.90\00:45:41.14 So when somebody is in an emergent condition, 00:45:41.17\00:45:43.41 if you can get them to life-saving care 00:45:43.44\00:45:44.77 within an hour, 00:45:44.81\00:45:46.14 you have a great chance of them surviving. 00:45:46.17\00:45:47.64 So we tried to make that 00:45:47.68\00:45:49.11 as our goal is to try to get them 00:45:49.14\00:45:51.48 within one hour to definitive medical care. 00:45:51.51\00:45:53.78 So you've saved many lives? Yes, we have. 00:45:53.82\00:45:56.85 Yeah, Adventist World Aviation 00:45:56.89\00:45:58.22 has helped save many lives in the countries that we serve. 00:45:58.25\00:45:59.62 Praise God. 00:45:59.65\00:46:00.99 And the average cost of a flight is about how much? 00:46:01.02\00:46:03.06 It's about $350. Okay. 00:46:03.09\00:46:04.96 For fuel burning, if you're going to, 00:46:04.99\00:46:06.33 it depends on distance and everything else. 00:46:06.36\00:46:07.70 But if you're looking at an average, it's about $350. 00:46:07.73\00:46:10.10 Now, before our program winds up, 00:46:10.13\00:46:11.47 talk about some of the projects you have and some of the things 00:46:11.50\00:46:13.37 that are ahead of you that the viewers 00:46:13.40\00:46:17.14 and listeners of this program could participate in. 00:46:17.17\00:46:18.97 Yeah. 00:46:19.01\00:46:20.34 Because AWR is, as you said, support AWA. 00:46:20.38\00:46:23.78 Did I just say AWR? Yeah. 00:46:23.81\00:46:25.25 I don't know. 00:46:25.28\00:46:26.61 My wife works for radio, but AWA, just to be exact. 00:46:26.65\00:46:31.85 Talk about some of these projects 00:46:31.89\00:46:33.32 that the audience could participate in. 00:46:33.36\00:46:35.52 Well, if there's anybody 00:46:35.56\00:46:37.33 that feels call to serve, of course we need people. 00:46:37.36\00:46:39.53 But also the projects 00:46:39.56\00:46:40.90 that we have to support as Josh and Yosi Fix. 00:46:40.93\00:46:43.33 They are trying to raise 00:46:43.37\00:46:44.90 a support team to go to Nicaragua. 00:46:44.93\00:46:47.97 And to do that, 00:46:48.00\00:46:49.34 they can't get there unless they have the supporters 00:46:49.37\00:46:51.17 to help them. 00:46:51.21\00:46:52.77 And to do that, means people that are willing to pray, 00:46:52.81\00:46:54.68 be a prayer partner, financially support them 00:46:54.71\00:46:57.21 for our project in Nicaragua. 00:46:57.25\00:46:59.55 So we can make a difference in people's lives 00:46:59.58\00:47:01.58 and lead them to a relationship with Jesus Christ. 00:47:01.62\00:47:03.99 And that's the ultimate goal in every project we have. 00:47:04.02\00:47:06.15 We have Alaska where Jim Kincaid, 00:47:06.19\00:47:07.99 Pastor Kincaid operates up there. 00:47:08.02\00:47:10.03 He needs support to help the Native Americans there. 00:47:10.06\00:47:12.76 We have project in Guyana 00:47:12.79\00:47:14.26 where we have the Rene family heading 00:47:14.30\00:47:16.36 to in a couple months and they will be needing 00:47:16.40\00:47:20.00 the same kind of support to go there. 00:47:20.04\00:47:21.67 We can't do any operation without a support team. 00:47:21.70\00:47:25.37 What do you think your future is as you look down the road, 00:47:25.41\00:47:28.28 because you talked about when you were given the, 00:47:28.31\00:47:30.85 you anticipating a month 00:47:30.88\00:47:32.21 and it turned into three months. 00:47:32.25\00:47:33.68 What kind of preparation do you feel is ahead of you 00:47:33.72\00:47:35.88 to get ready for the Nicaragua projects? 00:47:35.92\00:47:38.99 Yeah. 00:47:39.02\00:47:40.36 Most of our preparation has already been done. 00:47:40.39\00:47:42.39 You know, fully licensed 00:47:42.42\00:47:43.76 as far as a pilot mechanic goes, 00:47:43.79\00:47:45.13 or we have some training we're doing 00:47:45.16\00:47:46.49 with the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventist 00:47:46.53\00:47:48.06 to prepare us a little intercultural training, 00:47:48.10\00:47:50.60 which we're working through, which is a great asset. 00:47:50.63\00:47:54.77 Besides that not a whole lot stands between us 00:47:54.80\00:47:57.61 and in Nicaragua and getting there. 00:47:57.64\00:47:59.27 Wow. 00:47:59.31\00:48:00.64 Truly mission missionaries, you know, like you, 00:48:00.68\00:48:03.98 we have in our church, we have a missionary couple 00:48:04.01\00:48:07.25 that we help, our whole church. 00:48:07.28\00:48:08.68 Yeah. 00:48:08.72\00:48:10.05 Because once you leave America, once you leave the mainland, 00:48:10.09\00:48:12.12 I could say, you get away from a lot of the conveniences 00:48:12.15\00:48:15.92 that are maybe just a short drive away. 00:48:15.96\00:48:18.29 And you go into an area 00:48:18.33\00:48:19.66 where high-speed internet, what's that? 00:48:19.69\00:48:24.40 No. 00:48:24.43\00:48:25.77 A lot of self-reliance has to be practiced. 00:48:25.80\00:48:27.14 I mean, we learned a lot of that down in Nicaragua. 00:48:27.17\00:48:28.80 A lot of food has to be cooked from scratch. 00:48:28.84\00:48:30.51 You know, some things we can't have. 00:48:30.54\00:48:32.77 One of my favorite foods is haystacks, you know? 00:48:32.81\00:48:34.98 Oh, no. Okay. 00:48:35.01\00:48:37.71 We made it happen maybe like one time, I think. 00:48:37.75\00:48:40.35 Amazingly, we had a hard time finding lettuce, right? 00:48:40.38\00:48:42.88 We always do. 00:48:42.92\00:48:44.25 In South America, lettuce is not prevalent. 00:48:44.29\00:48:45.69 Yeah. 00:48:45.72\00:48:47.06 Even Guyana, Philippines, this is not prevalent there. 00:48:47.09\00:48:49.32 It's hard to find it. 00:48:49.36\00:48:50.69 It's a common staple around here, 00:48:50.73\00:48:52.36 but we found one guy, who sold some. 00:48:52.39\00:48:54.20 Yeah. 00:48:54.23\00:48:55.56 But, you know, instead of getting bread, 00:48:55.60\00:48:57.10 you know, like we would at a supermarket here, 00:48:57.13\00:48:59.23 Yosi was making the bread, like she in the picture. 00:48:59.27\00:49:02.17 We had a lot of beans and rice and different things, 00:49:02.20\00:49:04.87 learning the recipes of the local area, 00:49:04.91\00:49:07.01 what's at hand. 00:49:07.04\00:49:09.34 So flexibility is a big characteristic 00:49:09.38\00:49:10.88 of missionaries. 00:49:10.91\00:49:12.25 You have to be flexible time, situations adaptable. 00:49:12.28\00:49:15.98 So like Gumby, if you remember the old Gumby. 00:49:16.02\00:49:18.55 Yeah. Gumby. 00:49:18.59\00:49:20.16 So if you're flexible, like Gumby and you can bend 00:49:20.19\00:49:22.62 and turn and adjust without breaking, 00:49:22.66\00:49:25.16 that's really the recipe, you know, for success, 00:49:25.19\00:49:28.26 of course being one with God being, 00:49:28.30\00:49:30.53 keeping your eyes on Christ and being flexible, 00:49:30.57\00:49:33.54 because be willing to be 00:49:33.57\00:49:35.27 interrupted throughout your day. 00:49:35.30\00:49:37.14 You have plans like Josh talked about 00:49:37.17\00:49:38.87 and then being interrupted 00:49:38.91\00:49:40.24 'cause God places people in your path. 00:49:40.28\00:49:41.61 That's a pastor's life. 00:49:41.64\00:49:42.98 The whole two things are planned. 00:49:43.01\00:49:45.11 One of the prime examples, 00:49:45.15\00:49:46.48 I think to give biblically is the good Samaritan, 00:49:46.51\00:49:48.92 willing to be interrupted. 00:49:48.95\00:49:50.29 Amen. 00:49:50.32\00:49:51.65 You know, and to help somebody that's in need. 00:49:51.69\00:49:53.02 And that's the gospel 00:49:53.05\00:49:54.39 with some legs on it, basically. 00:49:54.42\00:49:55.76 That's right. 00:49:55.79\00:49:57.13 It's easy to talk about, you know, 00:49:57.16\00:49:58.49 doctrines and everything. 00:49:58.53\00:49:59.86 And those are very important, but you know, 00:49:59.89\00:50:01.23 it's a different legs in the gospel. 00:50:01.26\00:50:02.60 And put in selfless love into practice 00:50:02.63\00:50:05.10 is where it really meets the road. 00:50:05.13\00:50:06.77 Now, what about your boys? 00:50:06.80\00:50:08.27 How do they adjust to this missionary lifestyle? 00:50:08.30\00:50:13.07 Well, they seem to like it, 00:50:13.11\00:50:14.44 especially 'cause they can play out there. 00:50:14.48\00:50:16.85 The base is set in a country side. 00:50:16.88\00:50:20.98 And it's very private, a lot of trees. 00:50:21.02\00:50:23.52 So they like that they can just play outside. 00:50:23.55\00:50:26.62 Do they speak Spanish? 00:50:26.65\00:50:28.42 They're learning. They're learning. 00:50:28.46\00:50:29.79 They need to learn somewhat. 00:50:29.82\00:50:31.16 In Nicaragua they might learn Miskito. 00:50:31.19\00:50:32.76 Yeah, that too. 00:50:32.79\00:50:34.26 We have a day labor there that is a local 00:50:34.30\00:50:36.73 and speaks Miskito and Spanish as well. 00:50:36.77\00:50:38.87 So he might be teaching them. 00:50:38.90\00:50:40.24 They really like playing with him, 00:50:40.27\00:50:41.90 but the other boys had some different experiences 00:50:41.94\00:50:44.37 that really like, they like riding around 00:50:44.41\00:50:46.01 on the motorcycle with me. 00:50:46.04\00:50:47.94 They didn't miss their bicycles. 00:50:47.98\00:50:49.44 They didn't bring their bicycles obviously. 00:50:49.48\00:50:51.48 So we'll have to find them some bicycles to play on there. 00:50:51.51\00:50:53.75 Wow. 00:50:53.78\00:50:55.12 But you do have Bible studies and you have baptisms. 00:50:55.15\00:50:57.39 Yeah. Yeah. 00:50:57.42\00:50:59.65 So we support the local church very strongly. 00:50:59.69\00:51:01.96 There's a small church in the local community there. 00:51:01.99\00:51:05.16 Not too far down the way, 00:51:05.19\00:51:06.53 there's a like a layman training 00:51:06.56\00:51:09.13 kind of center for the local laypeople. 00:51:09.16\00:51:11.67 And so we've helped them 00:51:11.70\00:51:13.34 for sure get to where they need to be. 00:51:13.37\00:51:15.67 Help them build some churches and whatnot. 00:51:15.70\00:51:17.17 Yes. 00:51:17.21\00:51:18.54 Every country that we work in, we work closely 00:51:18.57\00:51:20.14 with the local conference and pastors. 00:51:20.18\00:51:22.58 We believe in working alongside them 00:51:22.61\00:51:24.48 and helping them with their mission 00:51:24.51\00:51:26.08 to serve the people. 00:51:26.11\00:51:27.68 Amen. Beautiful. 00:51:27.72\00:51:29.22 And I want to make sure that our audience, 00:51:29.25\00:51:30.72 our viewing audience has the information 00:51:30.75\00:51:32.52 that you would need to be able to get in touch with AWA. 00:51:32.55\00:51:36.32 And then on the other side of the news break, 00:51:36.36\00:51:38.49 we'll be back for a few closing thoughts. 00:51:38.53\00:51:41.06 Yes. 00:51:41.10\00:51:43.06 If you would like to contact or know more about 00:51:43.10\00:51:45.13 Adventist World Aviation, 00:51:45.17\00:51:46.97 you can write to them at 3457, Swift Creek Road, 00:51:47.00\00:51:51.17 Corp-3, Smithfield, North Carolina 27577. 00:51:51.21\00:51:57.21 You can call them at (919) 938-2920. 00:51:57.25\00:52:03.12 You can also visit their website at flyaway.org 00:52:03.15\00:52:08.69 That's flyaway.org 00:52:08.72\00:52:13.40 You can also email them at info@flyawa.org 00:52:13.43\00:52:18.53 That's info@flyawa.org 00:52:18.57\00:52:22.84
