Yeah. 00:03:11.79\00:03:13.56 So, Christopher, tell us a little bit about 00:03:13.59\00:03:15.79 what today's program is gonna be about 00:03:15.82\00:03:17.26 before we dive into more detail, 00:03:17.29\00:03:18.66 because this is an exciting program. 00:03:18.69\00:03:20.03 I tell you what? 00:03:20.06\00:03:21.40 If I were a young person, 00:03:21.43\00:03:22.80 I still consider myself young 00:03:22.83\00:03:24.17 even though I'm in my mid 40s now, 00:03:24.20\00:03:25.83 but if I were on my early 20s or so, 00:03:25.87\00:03:28.80 this would have been a program 00:03:28.84\00:03:30.17 that we're getting ready to share with you today 00:03:30.21\00:03:31.54 that I would have absolutely signed up for. 00:03:31.57\00:03:34.21 I would have said Mom and Dad, please let me do this. 00:03:34.24\00:03:36.61 So tell us what we're gonna be talking about today 00:03:36.64\00:03:38.31 just summary? 00:03:38.35\00:03:39.68 So Network 7 started with a mission, 00:03:39.71\00:03:42.65 a mandate for two things. 00:03:42.68\00:03:44.09 One was to support our local churches, 00:03:44.12\00:03:46.09 our local Seventh-day Adventist churches 00:03:46.12\00:03:47.72 around the North American Division. 00:03:47.76\00:03:49.66 And we can share a little bit about how we're doing that. 00:03:49.69\00:03:51.79 And then also to reach our youth and young adults 00:03:51.83\00:03:56.10 in the church, 00:03:56.13\00:03:57.47 and have those youth and young adults 00:03:57.50\00:03:59.83 reach youth and young adults outside of the church. 00:03:59.87\00:04:03.10 And so those are the two emphases, 00:04:03.14\00:04:06.07 the mandates that we have attempted 00:04:06.11\00:04:07.68 to follow over the last, 00:04:07.71\00:04:09.04 believe it or not, going on 16 years now. 00:04:09.08\00:04:12.01 Question, both of you, one of you, why young people? 00:04:12.05\00:04:14.75 Because we're focusing on young people, young adults, 00:04:14.78\00:04:16.58 I should say. 00:04:16.62\00:04:17.95 Why are you selecting that group 00:04:17.99\00:04:19.35 to really focusing on? 00:04:19.39\00:04:20.72 Any particular reason? 00:04:20.76\00:04:22.72 I would say 00:04:22.76\00:04:24.09 if you start with somebody that's young, 00:04:24.13\00:04:25.46 you get many years that you can work with them. 00:04:25.49\00:04:28.00 And you can train them to share the gospel. 00:04:28.03\00:04:30.23 Obviously, there's a lot of need 00:04:30.27\00:04:31.83 to minister to older people as well. 00:04:31.87\00:04:36.20 But as we've seen through statistics, 00:04:36.24\00:04:38.84 young people are leaving the church. 00:04:38.87\00:04:40.31 And if we can interact with them, 00:04:40.34\00:04:42.04 and we can get them engaged, 00:04:42.08\00:04:43.45 they're less likely to leave the church 00:04:43.48\00:04:45.08 and then as they reach out to their friends, 00:04:45.11\00:04:47.95 and they reach out to people younger than them, 00:04:47.98\00:04:49.82 then we'll be engaging even more people. 00:04:49.85\00:04:51.22 Amen. 00:04:51.25\00:04:52.59 Yeah, I agree with that. 00:04:52.62\00:04:53.96 A little statistic 00:04:53.99\00:04:55.32 that Jordan probably doesn't want me to mention, 00:04:55.36\00:04:56.69 but he's been with us almost since day one. 00:04:56.73\00:04:58.16 Okay. Wow! I said almost 16 years. 00:04:58.19\00:05:00.00 He's with us almost 15 of those 16 years. 00:05:00.03\00:05:02.80 With Network 7? Yeah. 00:05:02.83\00:05:04.23 And he was a production assistant in the studio 00:05:04.27\00:05:08.44 at Southern Adventist University. 00:05:08.47\00:05:10.47 That's where I met him 00:05:10.51\00:05:11.84 as we were just getting Network 7 going. 00:05:11.87\00:05:13.64 And I just was impressed with his interest 00:05:13.68\00:05:16.61 and commitment to mission and ministry. 00:05:16.64\00:05:18.88 And I said, "I would like you to be part of our team." 00:05:18.91\00:05:22.15 And believe it or not, 00:05:22.18\00:05:23.52 within just a few weeks of meeting him, 00:05:23.55\00:05:25.32 I asked him, 00:05:25.35\00:05:26.69 "If he'd be willing to be our production director." 00:05:26.72\00:05:28.06 And I believe that was a God ordained decision 00:05:28.09\00:05:31.26 because he's been outstanding for our ministry for 15 years. 00:05:31.29\00:05:35.13 Well, think about this, Christopher, too, 00:05:35.16\00:05:36.50 you know, this was a young adult, right? 00:05:36.53\00:05:37.87 Just graduated from Southern Adventist University, 00:05:37.90\00:05:40.04 you know, you realized his passion for media. 00:05:40.07\00:05:42.50 Were you in media? I was. 00:05:42.54\00:05:43.87 Yeah, and so you realize this and brought him on board. 00:05:43.91\00:05:47.58 And now you have the opportunity to reach those 00:05:47.61\00:05:49.41 that are also in the midst of college, 00:05:49.44\00:05:51.18 university or graduating, 00:05:51.21\00:05:52.55 that's phenomenal. 00:05:52.58\00:05:53.92 And when we get to talking about C4, 00:05:53.95\00:05:55.28 that's been in the making for literally for years 00:05:55.32\00:05:58.52 in our hearts and minds. 00:05:58.55\00:05:59.89 It's not something that we just popped up 00:05:59.92\00:06:01.26 with a few months ago or something it's, 00:06:01.29\00:06:03.46 but the opportunity is clearly opened now. 00:06:03.49\00:06:06.49 Amen. 00:06:06.53\00:06:07.86 Well, before we dive into more of the detail 00:06:07.90\00:06:09.96 in today's special program, 00:06:10.00\00:06:11.80 we wanna go to some music now and this is by Jeff Pearles, 00:06:11.83\00:06:15.24 and he will be presenting "Jesus and Me." 00:06:15.27\00:06:18.24 I traveled alone 00:06:26.72\00:06:29.68 Upon life's lonesome way 00:06:29.72\00:06:33.12 My burdens were heavy 00:06:33.15\00:06:36.66 And dark was my day 00:06:36.69\00:06:39.79 I looked for a friend 00:06:39.83\00:06:43.00 Not knowing that 00:06:43.03\00:06:44.83 He Had all of the time 00:06:44.87\00:06:49.77 Been looking for me 00:06:49.80\00:06:53.01 And now it's Jesus and me 00:06:53.04\00:06:56.34 For each tomorrow 00:06:56.38\00:06:59.75 For every heartache 00:06:59.78\00:07:03.08 And every sorrow 00:07:03.12\00:07:06.29 I know that I can depend 00:07:06.32\00:07:09.62 Upon my new found friend 00:07:09.66\00:07:12.89 And so till the end, 00:07:12.93\00:07:16.23 It's Jesus and me 00:07:16.26\00:07:18.23 Forever I'll sing 00:07:22.97\00:07:26.14 Of His great love to me 00:07:26.17\00:07:29.51 Forever I'll tell it On land and on sea 00:07:29.54\00:07:36.05 I'll stay by His side, 00:07:36.08\00:07:39.35 Contented I'll be 00:07:39.39\00:07:42.66 For all of my life, 00:07:42.69\00:07:46.03 It's Jesus and me 00:07:46.06\00:07:49.16 And now it's Jesus and me 00:07:49.20\00:07:52.60 For each tomorrow 00:07:52.63\00:07:55.90 For every heartache 00:07:55.94\00:07:59.37 And every sorrow 00:07:59.41\00:08:02.58 I know that I can depend 00:08:02.61\00:08:05.78 Upon my new found friend 00:08:05.81\00:08:08.88 And so till the end, 00:08:08.92\00:08:12.35 It's Jesus and me 00:08:12.39\00:08:15.72 And now it's Jesus and me 00:08:15.76\00:08:19.09 For each tomorrow 00:08:19.13\00:08:22.43 For every heartache 00:08:22.46\00:08:25.73 And every sorrow 00:08:25.77\00:08:29.10 I know that I can depend 00:08:29.14\00:08:32.27 Upon my new found friend 00:08:32.31\00:08:35.71 And so till the end, 00:08:35.74\00:08:38.98 It's Jesus and me 00:08:39.01\00:08:42.18 And so till the end, 00:08:42.22\00:08:45.55 It's Jesus and me 00:08:45.59\00:08:48.12 Amen, Thank you, Jeff Pearles. 00:08:55.93\00:08:57.63 Boy, that was a happy song, wasn't it, Jesus and me. 00:08:57.67\00:09:00.17 What an incredible message. 00:09:00.20\00:09:01.54 Thank you again for joining us 00:09:01.57\00:09:02.90 on today's special 3ABN Today program. 00:09:02.94\00:09:05.54 We're here with Network 7. 00:09:05.57\00:09:07.48 And we're here with the president of Network 7, 00:09:07.51\00:09:09.38 Christopher Beason. 00:09:09.41\00:09:10.75 And then we have Jordan Wagner, 00:09:10.78\00:09:13.52 almost had a brain freeze there. 00:09:13.55\00:09:15.72 And you're the production manager, 00:09:15.75\00:09:17.82 basically you're director for Network 7. 00:09:17.85\00:09:20.56 And then also gonna be overseeing 00:09:20.59\00:09:21.92 the brand new project called C4, 00:09:21.96\00:09:24.29 which we'll be talking about here shortly. 00:09:24.33\00:09:26.03 But as we launch out into this program, 00:09:26.06\00:09:27.90 tell us about your families, Christopher? 00:09:27.93\00:09:30.50 Okay. You have a great makeup artist. 00:10:21.95\00:10:23.45 Sure, we do have a little makeup put on, 00:10:23.49\00:10:26.25 to cut down on the shine from the lights. 00:10:26.29\00:10:28.76 But to understand young people then 00:10:28.79\00:10:30.13 because we're talking about Network 7, 00:10:30.16\00:10:31.96 which is really what I consider multimedia or media. 00:10:31.99\00:10:34.76 Because you do social media, 00:10:34.80\00:10:36.13 you have a little studio and you go out in the field. 00:10:36.16\00:10:38.70 That's right. Right. 00:10:38.73\00:10:40.07 So tell us a little bit about Network 7, 00:10:40.10\00:10:41.44 because someone at home may say, 00:10:41.47\00:10:42.80 I don't even know what that is. 00:10:42.84\00:10:44.17 I understand that 00:10:44.21\00:10:45.54 today's programs for young people, 00:10:45.57\00:10:46.91 but tell us what Network 7 is all about? 00:10:46.94\00:10:48.68 So we started Network 7 in 2005. 00:10:48.71\00:10:52.25 And we started just doing production videos, 00:10:52.28\00:10:57.75 promotional videos for local churches, 00:10:57.79\00:11:00.16 shooting seminars, and that kind of thing 00:11:00.19\00:11:02.19 that we actually, 00:11:02.22\00:11:04.36 in long ago in some early days 00:11:04.39\00:11:06.29 shot some seminars 00:11:06.33\00:11:07.66 that were done in our local Collegedale area, 00:11:07.70\00:11:10.20 and then sent here to 3ABN. 00:11:10.23\00:11:12.30 I couldn't name what those are, 00:11:12.33\00:11:13.67 but I recall doing some of those years ago, 00:11:13.70\00:11:15.20 some family seminars. 00:11:15.24\00:11:17.17 And since then have done some others, 00:11:17.21\00:11:18.67 we'll talk about those. 00:11:18.71\00:11:21.98 But then, in late 2006, 00:11:22.01\00:11:24.95 we heard that Mission Spotlight 00:11:24.98\00:11:27.55 was gonna be retiring the family, 00:11:27.58\00:11:29.35 the Heinrich family was gonna be retiring. 00:11:29.38\00:11:31.22 And so, a couple of us got together 00:11:31.25\00:11:32.75 and start thinking, what could we do? 00:11:32.79\00:11:34.12 Could we do this? 00:11:34.16\00:11:35.49 So what is Mission Spotlight? 00:11:35.52\00:11:36.86 Because someone at home would say, 00:11:36.89\00:11:38.23 "I don't even know what Mission Spotlight's all about. 00:11:38.26\00:11:39.59 What does that mean?" 00:11:39.63\00:11:40.96 Sure, so those are videos 00:11:41.00\00:11:42.33 that are promoting the mission emphasis, 00:11:42.36\00:11:43.70 the 13th Sabbath World Mission overflow 00:11:43.73\00:11:46.23 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:11:46.27\00:11:47.84 but missions happening all over the world 00:11:47.87\00:11:50.91 in the different divisions of the Adventist Church. 00:11:50.94\00:11:52.87 And so, they were emphasizing 00:11:52.91\00:11:55.28 those special offering projects. 00:11:55.31\00:11:57.88 So in 2007, 00:11:57.91\00:11:59.25 we started going out into the field 00:11:59.28\00:12:00.65 where they were retiring, we started ramping up 00:12:00.68\00:12:02.68 and going out into the field 00:12:02.72\00:12:04.05 and then launched Mission Sunlight 00:12:04.09\00:12:05.49 first quarter 2008. 00:12:05.52\00:12:06.89 Wow. 00:12:06.92\00:12:08.26 And so it's still going on 00:12:08.29\00:12:09.62 and so probably what people know us for the most is 00:12:09.66\00:12:11.76 either Mission Sunlight 00:12:11.79\00:12:13.40 or another video we're gonna see a little later, 00:12:13.43\00:12:15.66 the Jack Blanco story 00:12:15.70\00:12:17.03 because so many are aware with Dr. Blanco 00:12:17.07\00:12:18.93 and his writing of the clear word, 00:12:18.97\00:12:20.74 the paraphrase of the Bible, 00:12:20.77\00:12:22.80 the devotional paraphrase 00:12:22.84\00:12:24.17 and so, we have produced a documentary on his story, 00:12:24.21\00:12:26.74 which is aired here on 3ABN. 00:12:26.78\00:12:28.41 Yeah, Mission Sunlight it's incredible 00:12:28.44\00:12:29.78 because I mean, I remember growing up as a kid 00:12:29.81\00:12:31.81 watching Mission Spotlight, 00:12:31.85\00:12:33.25 I remember when it was a little real things, 00:12:33.28\00:12:34.62 you go click, click, 00:12:34.65\00:12:35.98 and it have a little cassette tape 00:12:36.02\00:12:37.35 and we would watch Mission Spotlight. 00:12:37.39\00:12:38.72 On Sabbath mornings my dad would take me early, 00:12:38.75\00:12:41.32 because the Fort Walton Beach Church 00:12:41.36\00:12:43.36 had their carousel that went one direction 00:12:43.39\00:12:45.69 and the Panama City Church 00:12:45.73\00:12:47.06 had the carousel that went the other direction. 00:12:47.10\00:12:48.83 So he would take me early and let me flip the slides. 00:12:48.86\00:12:52.63 But every now and then, I would forget, 00:12:52.67\00:12:54.50 and we'd have a backward slide. 00:12:54.54\00:12:56.04 And I still have some of those cassettes. 00:12:56.07\00:12:57.77 Do you really? 00:12:57.81\00:12:59.14 One day we're hoping to have just a little museum 00:12:59.17\00:13:02.14 about missions. 00:13:02.18\00:13:03.65 And so I actually just bring this up, 00:13:03.68\00:13:05.05 I actually have it 00:13:05.08\00:13:06.41 because 3ABN was mentioned on Mission Spotlight 00:13:06.45\00:13:08.35 on the old slides years ago 00:13:08.38\00:13:09.72 and actually have that carousel at home of 3ABN 00:13:09.75\00:13:12.35 when it was featured on the Mission Spotlight, 00:13:12.39\00:13:13.86 little carousel. 00:13:13.89\00:13:15.22 But I remember it's a big deal. 00:13:15.26\00:13:16.59 Maybe we'll have to update that some up. 00:13:16.62\00:13:17.96 Okay. 00:13:17.99\00:13:19.33 I remember it's a big deal. 00:13:19.36\00:13:20.70 As a kid, you know, I enjoyed a course missions 00:13:20.73\00:13:22.13 and mission stories 00:13:22.16\00:13:23.50 and have the opportunity to push that little clicker 00:13:23.53\00:13:25.27 to follow along with the slides. 00:13:25.30\00:13:26.63 That was a great thing. But that has retired. 00:13:26.67\00:13:28.34 And you all took on then Mission Spotlight, 00:13:28.37\00:13:31.17 which is now Mission Sunlight. 00:13:31.21\00:13:33.17 So, Jordan, that means then 00:13:33.21\00:13:34.54 you've been out in the field then 00:13:34.58\00:13:35.91 shooting some of these. 00:13:35.94\00:13:37.28 Yes, that's correct. 00:13:37.31\00:13:38.65 By God's grace, we've been able to travel 00:13:38.68\00:13:40.02 to over 85 countries. 00:13:40.05\00:13:41.38 Eighty five countries? 00:13:41.42\00:13:42.75 Eighty five countries and tell what God's doing 00:13:42.78\00:13:44.12 in ministries around the world, 00:13:44.15\00:13:46.05 and it's been an incredible experience. 00:13:46.09\00:13:47.72 And to be able to tell the church 00:13:47.76\00:13:50.39 what's going on beyond their borders. 00:13:50.43\00:13:52.09 I was just gonna ask, you just answered the question, 00:13:52.13\00:13:53.80 why is it important to go out into the field and get this? 00:13:53.83\00:13:55.93 Well, you know, we're talking a lot about youth here. 00:13:55.96\00:13:58.87 And in my view, 00:13:58.90\00:14:01.84 youth don't necessarily have an idea 00:14:01.87\00:14:03.37 of how big the church is. 00:14:03.41\00:14:05.21 And so if they can see an idea, 00:14:05.24\00:14:06.98 if they can get an idea of their local churches 00:14:07.01\00:14:10.31 and where the church ends, 00:14:10.35\00:14:11.81 it goes to across the country and then around the world. 00:14:11.85\00:14:15.42 It gives them an idea 00:14:15.45\00:14:16.79 that they're a part of something bigger. 00:14:16.82\00:14:18.15 And to me, 00:14:18.19\00:14:19.52 that's really important for them 00:14:19.55\00:14:20.89 to feel part of something. 00:14:20.92\00:14:22.46 So when you go out into the field, 00:14:22.49\00:14:23.83 then is just the two of you. 00:14:23.86\00:14:25.63 Or I mean, how big of a crew because then you see this, 00:14:25.66\00:14:27.53 you know, Mission Sunlight 00:14:27.56\00:14:28.90 which we get in our local church here as well. 00:14:28.93\00:14:31.83 You take a massive crew with you 00:14:31.87\00:14:33.54 and it's this incredible travel experience 00:14:33.57\00:14:35.84 and everything is just easy and like... 00:14:35.87\00:14:38.97 Okay, I see smiles on your faces. 00:14:39.01\00:14:41.78 Sometimes it's the two of us, sometimes we go individually. 00:14:41.81\00:14:46.41 We travel with a compact set of equipment 00:14:46.45\00:14:49.48 to be as efficient as we can be. 00:14:49.52\00:14:51.22 People think that, 00:14:51.25\00:14:52.59 "Oh, you go to this country or that country, 00:14:52.62\00:14:54.16 you must love seeing all those sites." 00:14:54.19\00:14:56.59 We say, "What sites?" 00:14:56.62\00:14:57.96 Because we go there to tell the story of Jesus. 00:14:57.99\00:15:00.73 Amen. That's right. 00:15:00.76\00:15:03.06 So tell us then, okay, so Network 7, 00:15:03.10\00:15:04.53 then you took on Mission Spotlight, 00:15:04.57\00:15:06.03 then what happened? 00:15:06.07\00:15:07.40 What's transpired since we said 2008 00:15:07.44\00:15:08.87 is when it first launched, 00:15:08.90\00:15:10.24 Mission Sunlight, then what happened? 00:15:10.27\00:15:11.61 So we've continued to have great opportunities 00:15:11.64\00:15:13.34 to work with many different ministries. 00:15:13.38\00:15:15.88 We joined ASI, 00:15:15.91\00:15:17.41 which we love the networking opportunity 00:15:17.45\00:15:19.28 with ASI, 00:15:19.31\00:15:20.65 networking with ministries like 3ABN. 00:15:20.68\00:15:22.02 Amen, we love ASI. Oh, yes. 00:15:22.05\00:15:23.39 But multiple other ministries. 00:15:23.42\00:15:26.76 I don't know if we can go into these, 00:15:26.79\00:15:28.69 but we just got some video clips 00:15:28.72\00:15:30.06 of some of the ministries we've worked with 00:15:30.09\00:15:31.93 Child Impact, Gospel Outreach, 00:15:31.96\00:15:36.00 World Youth Group, 00:15:36.03\00:15:37.37 which incidentally we've been able to actually partner with 00:15:37.40\00:15:39.53 Feet on the Ground with World Youth Group 00:15:39.57\00:15:41.20 in their ministry in Cuba, 00:15:41.24\00:15:42.74 that's been an incredible blessing. 00:15:42.77\00:15:44.44 And when we get to C4 again, 00:15:44.47\00:15:46.51 we'll talk about some of the opportunities 00:15:46.54\00:15:48.14 to take some of our C4 students to Cuba 00:15:48.18\00:15:51.41 with World Youth Group, but we'll get to that. 00:15:51.45\00:15:53.65 And then as I said, ASI, 00:15:53.68\00:15:55.52 3ABN has been a partner with ASI for, 00:15:55.55\00:15:58.69 I don't know how many of these 36 years, 00:15:58.72\00:16:01.06 maybe most of them, if not all of them. 00:16:01.09\00:16:02.96 Network 7 had an opportunity to partner with our local ASI 00:16:02.99\00:16:07.26 Southern Union Chapter and be the media partner. 00:16:07.30\00:16:10.33 And so we've been kind of doing 00:16:10.37\00:16:13.30 a small production versus 00:16:13.34\00:16:14.87 what the large production of 3ABN has been 00:16:14.90\00:16:18.04 in our local Southern Union Chapter. 00:16:18.07\00:16:20.71 And then I want to mention, again, the Jack Blanco story. 00:16:20.74\00:16:23.95 We took Jack to Africa 00:16:23.98\00:16:26.72 back to the place 00:16:26.75\00:16:28.08 where he started international ministry 00:16:28.12\00:16:30.09 in Zimbabwe at Solusi University. 00:16:30.12\00:16:34.02 And there's a video clip here of him 00:16:34.06\00:16:36.36 and some of the professors there from Solusi, 00:16:36.39\00:16:38.39 but also of him, 00:16:38.43\00:16:39.76 leading his favorite hymn 00:16:39.79\00:16:41.33 in the church there for worship 00:16:41.36\00:16:43.50 just a couple years ago. 00:16:43.53\00:16:44.87 Is this a role we're getting ready to go to now then? 00:16:44.90\00:16:46.23 That's right. Okay. 00:16:46.27\00:16:47.60 We've just, we're just showing that now, 00:16:47.64\00:16:50.87 we will show a clip from the documentary 00:16:50.91\00:16:52.24 in a few minutes. 00:16:52.27\00:16:53.61 Okay. Yeah, fantastic. 00:16:53.64\00:16:54.98 And that's an incredible story, too. 00:16:55.01\00:16:56.34 And we appreciate little Blanco 00:16:56.38\00:16:57.81 and the work that God has called him to do. 00:16:57.85\00:16:59.91 I mean, it's incredible story, too. 00:16:59.95\00:17:01.55 And we've been privileged 00:17:01.58\00:17:02.92 to be able to air even that story here, 00:17:02.95\00:17:04.29 like you said several times on 3ABN. 00:17:04.32\00:17:05.65 And we're hoping to do it properly 00:17:05.69\00:17:08.06 to take the documentary to a film product 00:17:08.09\00:17:13.66 as well down the road, 00:17:13.70\00:17:15.03 something similar to what was done 00:17:15.06\00:17:16.40 with the Desmond Doss story. 00:17:16.43\00:17:17.93 Okay. Yeah, it's fantastic. 00:17:17.97\00:17:19.57 And when I think about the work to shoot 00:17:19.60\00:17:21.70 that which we're gonna talk a little bit 00:17:21.74\00:17:23.07 more about that whole, 00:17:23.10\00:17:24.44 I guess, documentary that you put together. 00:17:24.47\00:17:25.81 How long did it actually take to put that together? 00:17:25.84\00:17:27.91 Because I'm assuming that was you, Jordan, 00:17:27.94\00:17:29.28 that you got the post? 00:17:29.31\00:17:30.65 Yeah, I mean, we were working on it 00:17:30.68\00:17:32.31 for three years, 00:17:32.35\00:17:35.88 between taking the ongoing on location, 00:17:35.92\00:17:38.29 all the shooting on location and editing, so. 00:17:38.32\00:17:42.46 Yeah, it's an incredible story. 00:17:42.49\00:17:43.83 I mean, it really is. Yeah. 00:17:43.86\00:17:45.49 So tell us more, a little bit more then about Network 7 00:17:45.53\00:17:49.13 then because I know that you're focusing on young people 00:17:49.16\00:17:51.70 and just tell us, you know, what you have in mind? 00:17:51.73\00:17:55.10 So we've been talking about C4 and hinting at it, 00:17:55.14\00:17:58.07 that's really what's happening now. 00:17:58.11\00:17:59.51 All those other things are continuing. 00:17:59.54\00:18:01.78 But we're expanding the ministry, 00:18:01.81\00:18:03.55 and we're hiring a team for C4. 00:18:03.58\00:18:05.95 So let me just kind of give you a visual. 00:18:05.98\00:18:08.95 And maybe they'll put the logo there on the screen, C4, is 00:18:08.98\00:18:13.46 "Consecrated Creators Communicating Christ." 00:18:13.49\00:18:18.33 So that's where the four C's comes from. 00:18:18.36\00:18:21.36 I love that, say that one more time, 00:18:21.40\00:18:22.73 those are powerful. 00:18:22.76\00:18:24.10 Consecrated Creators Communicating Christ. 00:18:24.13\00:18:27.00 Wow. 00:18:27.04\00:18:28.37 We interact with so many youth and young adults. 00:18:28.40\00:18:31.81 And some of them have gone out into media ministry 00:18:31.84\00:18:34.88 as a one man shop or one woman shop. 00:18:34.91\00:18:37.55 And several things have happened, 00:18:37.58\00:18:39.95 they've struggled with their faith, 00:18:39.98\00:18:41.68 I don't wanna put them down, 00:18:41.72\00:18:43.05 but several have come back to us. 00:18:43.08\00:18:44.42 And they've just really, almost lost their way at times. 00:18:44.45\00:18:48.26 And others have really struggled with the business in 00:18:48.29\00:18:50.96 how to interact with their clients, 00:18:50.99\00:18:52.33 ministry clients, 00:18:52.36\00:18:53.70 but how to interact with them well, and just carrying, 00:18:53.73\00:18:56.73 as we know, from the big picture, 00:18:56.77\00:18:59.33 it's a challenge too, 00:18:59.37\00:19:00.87 you got networking, 00:19:00.90\00:19:02.24 and you've got little details that have to be taken care of. 00:19:02.27\00:19:03.81 And when you're a one person shop, 00:19:03.84\00:19:05.31 boy, that, that's a lot of weight on you. 00:19:05.34\00:19:06.68 Absolutely. That's a lot of responsibility. 00:19:06.71\00:19:08.28 And that's a lot on a young person's shoulders, 00:19:08.31\00:19:09.94 like you said. 00:19:09.98\00:19:11.31 So how does this or how would this fit into 00:19:11.35\00:19:12.91 the big picture of a media missionary? 00:19:12.95\00:19:15.55 So because we've been out in the field, 00:19:15.58\00:19:19.72 doing media stories as media missionaries, 00:19:19.75\00:19:23.06 traveling to 85 countries as Jordan mentioned. 00:19:23.09\00:19:24.89 That's incredible. 00:19:24.93\00:19:26.96 We have people who support our ministry 00:19:27.00\00:19:29.90 and we call them media missionaries too, 00:19:29.93\00:19:31.47 they're a part of just like your support 00:19:31.50\00:19:33.94 is part of the ministry. 00:19:33.97\00:19:35.57 And so we want to build this culture with C4 00:19:35.60\00:19:40.24 to continue as media missionaries, 00:19:40.28\00:19:42.08 young adults being media missionaries. 00:19:42.11\00:19:43.75 Using that term, by the way, media missionary 00:19:43.78\00:19:45.71 might cause people, 00:19:45.75\00:19:47.22 what does that really mean? 00:19:47.25\00:19:48.58 You heard of medical missionaries? 00:19:48.62\00:19:49.95 What does it mean to be a media missionary? 00:19:49.98\00:19:51.55 So we've got a video clip, if we can show it. 00:19:51.59\00:19:53.12 Okay. Yeah, all right. 00:19:53.15\00:19:54.49 Yeah, let's go to that role right now. 00:19:54.52\00:19:57.06 Being a media missionary can mean many different things. 00:19:57.09\00:20:00.33 It means the love of the home, at the heart of the planet, 00:20:00.36\00:20:04.27 the intrepid spirit of a village 00:20:04.30\00:20:06.30 and the vibe of a great metropolis. 00:20:06.33\00:20:09.07 It means camera one, and camera two. 00:20:09.10\00:20:12.91 It means transforming a school, orphanage or hospital. 00:20:12.94\00:20:16.98 It means fire, rain, ice and snow. 00:20:17.01\00:20:20.95 It means gifts by the dollar and by the check. 00:20:20.98\00:20:24.75 It means donations that roll and donations that fly. 00:20:24.79\00:20:30.49 It's a movement on a trail or down a motorway. 00:20:30.53\00:20:34.93 It means family. 00:20:34.96\00:20:37.87 All of us together And individually. 00:20:37.90\00:20:41.40 It's who you are, or who you are becoming. 00:20:41.44\00:20:45.04 And to her, it's a simple gesture, 00:20:45.07\00:20:48.08 that means hope. 00:20:48.11\00:20:49.44 Whatever it means to you, 00:20:49.48\00:20:51.31 being a media missionary means more than you might think. 00:20:51.35\00:20:56.12 Amen. Wow, it's fantastic and exciting. 00:20:56.15\00:20:58.55 So we've been talking about C4. 00:20:58.59\00:21:00.76 So tell me more about C4, Jordan, 00:21:00.79\00:21:03.29 because I know you're gonna be overseeing this project 00:21:03.32\00:21:05.79 under the parent of Network 7. 00:21:05.83\00:21:08.06 So tell us more about C4? Okay. 00:21:08.10\00:21:09.80 About a year ago, we started a... 00:21:09.83\00:21:12.33 We did a small weekend 00:21:12.37\00:21:13.70 with a group of high school students 00:21:13.74\00:21:15.70 down in Florida, 00:21:15.74\00:21:17.07 and focused on giving them the tools 00:21:17.11\00:21:20.18 to tell their story, 00:21:20.21\00:21:22.68 tell what God's done for them, 00:21:22.71\00:21:24.11 tell how God's working in their lives 00:21:24.15\00:21:26.11 in a creative way. 00:21:26.15\00:21:28.28 And in a way that it brings glory to God. 00:21:28.32\00:21:30.82 And so we spent a weekend with them 00:21:30.85\00:21:32.99 and went through how to use the camera, 00:21:33.02\00:21:35.92 how to do framing shots 00:21:35.96\00:21:37.76 and how to set things up like that. 00:21:37.79\00:21:39.66 And from there, we gave them the tools 00:21:39.69\00:21:44.00 to start their own YouTube channel 00:21:44.03\00:21:45.70 to be able to tell those things. 00:21:45.73\00:21:48.64 And they were really excited to do that. 00:21:48.67\00:21:51.24 We spent two days with them. And they were just gung ho. 00:21:51.27\00:21:53.58 So how did you find these young people? 00:21:53.61\00:21:55.88 They were through ASI ministry 00:21:55.91\00:21:58.81 that we had worked with in the past. 00:21:58.85\00:22:00.35 Their pastor reached out to us and said, 00:22:00.38\00:22:02.48 "We've students that are interested in this." 00:22:02.52\00:22:04.85 And we had kind of been talking 00:22:04.89\00:22:07.56 to a couple of different groups about our idea. 00:22:07.59\00:22:10.89 And he heard about it and said, 00:22:10.93\00:22:12.26 "Why don't you come down 00:22:12.29\00:22:13.63 and go through it a little bit with our students 00:22:13.66\00:22:16.06 and that's where the base of it started." 00:22:16.10\00:22:20.40 So it's kind of, I want to say an experiment, 00:22:20.44\00:22:22.20 because that may sound kind of bad, 00:22:22.24\00:22:23.61 but just a trial just to see how the young people reacted, 00:22:23.64\00:22:26.74 kind of, yeah, just figure out 00:22:26.78\00:22:28.11 if there's that much interest in the training 00:22:28.14\00:22:30.08 for media missionaries. 00:22:30.11\00:22:32.01 I mean, this is really fantastic. 00:22:32.05\00:22:33.38 I mean, when I first heard about it 00:22:33.42\00:22:34.75 was just a few months ago, 00:22:34.78\00:22:36.12 and you came up and we did the virtual ASI. 00:22:36.15\00:22:37.92 And you were sharing the vision of C4 like, 00:22:37.95\00:22:41.22 "Oh, yes, " 00:22:41.26\00:22:42.59 because you know, 3ABN can partner with this too. 00:22:42.62\00:22:44.89 Because I mean, 00:22:44.93\00:22:46.26 when you're training young people, 00:22:46.29\00:22:47.63 you know, we can work together 3ABN, C4, 00:22:47.66\00:22:49.76 because 3ABN is always looking for content for one. 00:22:49.80\00:22:52.20 We're looking for good content, 00:22:52.23\00:22:53.80 you know, far as the content that's there, 00:22:53.84\00:22:55.17 but then the professional quality 00:22:55.20\00:22:56.91 that's gonna be produced. 00:22:56.94\00:22:58.27 This is not new to you guys as far as media. 00:22:58.31\00:23:00.48 I mean, you have a pastor background 00:23:00.51\00:23:01.98 but you have gone into all this media missionary 00:23:02.01\00:23:05.11 worked on the Sunlight, 00:23:05.15\00:23:06.55 Mission Sunlight, I mean, it's incredible, 00:23:06.58\00:23:07.98 you have a lot of experience. 00:23:08.02\00:23:09.38 You took it, you have your degree from Southern. 00:23:09.42\00:23:12.02 And then you've been working now for 16 years. 00:23:12.05\00:23:14.99 Is that right for Mission Sunlight, 00:23:15.02\00:23:16.36 so you have a lot of experience, 00:23:16.39\00:23:17.73 and a lot of things to offer to young people. 00:23:17.76\00:23:20.20 When we got involved with ASI even, 00:23:20.23\00:23:22.00 we started working with youth and young adults of our church 00:23:22.03\00:23:24.73 because Heritage Academy, one of our ASI members, 00:23:24.77\00:23:29.07 we started working with their production program 00:23:29.10\00:23:31.37 and they, their kids were coming and helping us 00:23:31.41\00:23:33.38 with live events like this from the ASI standpoint. 00:23:33.41\00:23:37.31 So this C4 weekend 00:23:37.35\00:23:38.98 was somewhat of a test to see how it went. 00:23:39.01\00:23:42.12 But we've had that opportunity 00:23:42.15\00:23:43.49 to interact with youth and young adults 00:23:43.52\00:23:44.85 for many years. 00:23:44.89\00:23:46.22 And it just clearly the Lord is leading 00:23:46.25\00:23:48.99 and opening doors for this. 00:23:49.02\00:23:51.39 I was gonna share about the curriculum. 00:23:51.43\00:23:55.20 Okay. 00:23:55.23\00:23:56.56 If some students are interested in 00:23:56.60\00:23:58.93 what we're gonna be sharing. 00:23:58.97\00:24:00.30 Obviously, our main focus will be videography, 00:24:00.34\00:24:02.40 and photography, and editing. 00:24:02.44\00:24:04.61 Those are the main interests, 00:24:04.64\00:24:05.97 but we also wanna include some other media. 00:24:06.01\00:24:09.28 I won't mention them all here, 00:24:09.31\00:24:10.65 but we'll have some classes with graphic design, 00:24:10.68\00:24:14.25 with social media website. 00:24:14.28\00:24:17.72 Anything else you wanna mention there? 00:24:17.75\00:24:19.49 Lighting. Some print design. 00:24:19.52\00:24:20.89 Print design as well. Studio lighting. 00:24:20.92\00:24:22.59 Studio lighting, okay. 00:24:22.62\00:24:23.96 A little bit of set design. 00:24:23.99\00:24:25.49 So post production as well. 00:24:25.53\00:24:26.96 Obviously, post production. 00:24:27.00\00:24:29.36 You gotta have something to output, so... 00:24:29.40\00:24:30.97 Yeah, absolutely. 00:24:31.00\00:24:32.33 We've been visiting our schools 00:24:32.37\00:24:33.70 and some of them have even mentioned, 00:24:33.74\00:24:35.90 would we consider doing animation. 00:24:35.94\00:24:37.57 If the Lord opens the door, 00:24:37.61\00:24:38.94 that's an expensive direction to go. 00:24:38.97\00:24:41.01 But if the Lord opens the door, 00:24:41.04\00:24:42.38 we certainly would consider animation. 00:24:42.41\00:24:44.75 But then there's some, 00:24:44.78\00:24:46.11 there's two or three other things 00:24:46.15\00:24:47.48 that you might not think of in a media school like this. 00:24:47.52\00:24:50.35 We're following as best we can. 00:24:50.39\00:24:52.15 You have to adapt the Madison Blueprint 00:24:52.19\00:24:54.32 that Ellen White herself had a hand in writing. 00:24:54.36\00:24:57.46 And that blueprint calls for practical work. 00:24:57.49\00:24:59.76 So we're gonna include practical work. 00:24:59.79\00:25:01.50 There on the property, the campus, 00:25:01.53\00:25:02.86 we have some horses. 00:25:02.90\00:25:04.23 We also have gardening opportunities 00:25:04.27\00:25:05.60 and some construction opportunities. 00:25:05.63\00:25:06.97 We're gonna need to build some things 00:25:07.00\00:25:08.40 and restructure some things there on the campus. 00:25:08.44\00:25:11.47 We will also include some business classes. 00:25:11.51\00:25:16.51 One of our board members, Don Van Ornam 00:25:16.54\00:25:18.38 is a retired business professor. 00:25:18.41\00:25:20.05 So he's gonna help make sure we get the right people in. 00:25:20.08\00:25:22.45 And he'll be involved in that teaching some of that 00:25:22.48\00:25:25.12 with business 00:25:25.15\00:25:27.19 because students again get out there 00:25:27.22\00:25:28.99 with that weight on their shoulders, 00:25:29.02\00:25:30.36 you wanna help them with just some basic accounting, 00:25:30.39\00:25:31.79 some basic small business best practices. 00:25:31.83\00:25:34.90 And then, as I mentioned, the practical work, health, 00:25:34.93\00:25:38.80 we want them to understand 00:25:38.83\00:25:40.17 what the right arm of the gospel is. 00:25:40.20\00:25:41.54 Some of our students will be coming 00:25:41.57\00:25:42.90 from our supporting schools 00:25:42.94\00:25:44.27 and so they'll understand, 00:25:44.31\00:25:45.64 but other students may be coming from secular 00:25:45.67\00:25:47.01 like the C4 weekend, 00:25:47.04\00:25:48.38 those were all public school students. 00:25:48.41\00:25:49.74 Wow, that's incredible. 00:25:49.78\00:25:51.11 And to understand, 00:25:51.15\00:25:52.48 really have a grip on the right arm of the gospel, 00:25:52.51\00:25:53.85 because our focus at the end of the program 00:25:53.88\00:25:56.25 will be to help integrate them into ministries, 00:25:56.28\00:25:58.25 ASI, OCI, other Seventh-day Adventists. 00:25:58.29\00:26:01.12 Maybe 3ABN? 00:26:01.16\00:26:02.49 Maybe 3ABN. Absolutely. 00:26:02.52\00:26:03.93 And so for them to understand the health message, 00:26:03.96\00:26:06.33 if they're struggling, 00:26:06.36\00:26:07.86 not only to understand the health message, 00:26:07.90\00:26:09.30 as they may be editing it, 00:26:09.33\00:26:10.87 and putting it in the right context, 00:26:10.90\00:26:12.33 did not make a mistake with the video side, 00:26:12.37\00:26:14.50 but also in their own personal life, 00:26:14.54\00:26:16.34 if they're struggling, 00:26:16.37\00:26:17.81 it might be depression, 00:26:17.84\00:26:19.17 it might just be some health issue. 00:26:19.21\00:26:20.68 To understand how the right arm of the gospel 00:26:20.71\00:26:22.44 affects that work, 00:26:22.48\00:26:23.95 it will be a blessing for them as an individual as well. 00:26:23.98\00:26:26.68 So we're trying to include a well rounded program 00:26:26.72\00:26:29.78 that really equips a young adult to go out there, 00:26:29.82\00:26:32.55 maybe two of them go out, 00:26:32.59\00:26:34.02 and they work with the ministry, 00:26:34.06\00:26:35.39 maybe they go out solo, 00:26:35.42\00:26:36.76 maybe they work with several ministries. 00:26:36.79\00:26:38.59 Some ministries can't afford somebody full time. 00:26:38.63\00:26:40.90 And so they might have to work for two or three 00:26:40.93\00:26:43.67 to have a sustainable income. 00:26:43.70\00:26:46.30 Again, just want to give them the tools 00:26:46.33\00:26:47.90 on how they can be a media missionary. 00:26:47.94\00:26:51.71 You know, I love the curriculum, 00:26:51.74\00:26:53.71 because a lot of times when you think of media 00:26:53.74\00:26:55.24 in this day and age, 00:26:55.28\00:26:56.61 it seems like we're all so stuck behind 00:26:56.64\00:26:57.98 either a computer, or cell phones, 00:26:58.01\00:27:00.35 or tablets all day long, 00:27:00.38\00:27:01.72 but the young people are gonna have the opportunity 00:27:01.75\00:27:04.09 to get outside too and breathe some fresh air. 00:27:04.12\00:27:06.72 And to do some practical work outside 00:27:06.76\00:27:09.29 along with learning all the videography, 00:27:09.32\00:27:11.36 photography aspect too, it's fantastic. 00:27:11.39\00:27:13.36 And a side story of what you just said 00:27:13.40\00:27:15.16 holding up your device. 00:27:15.20\00:27:16.53 They're gonna be creating video and content 00:27:16.56\00:27:21.40 for those devices. 00:27:21.44\00:27:22.77 I mean, that is where whether we like it or not, 00:27:22.80\00:27:24.57 that is where the world is at. 00:27:24.61\00:27:26.27 Even across the board 00:27:26.31\00:27:27.64 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:27:27.68\00:27:29.01 people are getting their content. 00:27:29.04\00:27:30.38 As you mentioned earlier, 00:27:30.41\00:27:31.75 people watching 3ABN right now on their devices. 00:27:31.78\00:27:33.11 So we need to be answering that call. 00:27:33.15\00:27:34.78 We can't afford to wait 00:27:34.82\00:27:36.92 to do this better or that better 00:27:36.95\00:27:38.35 whatever, we need to get into it. 00:27:38.39\00:27:39.72 And that's really where we felt the call 00:27:39.75\00:27:41.99 to connect with our youth and young adults through that. 00:27:42.02\00:27:44.59 That's fantastic. 00:27:44.63\00:27:45.96 You know, when I think about 00:27:45.99\00:27:47.33 what God has laid upon your heart is fantastic, 00:27:47.36\00:27:48.76 because it is the way the world is going. 00:27:48.80\00:27:50.27 And there's so much content that's being put out there. 00:27:50.30\00:27:52.63 But as for the devil, may I just say that. 00:27:52.67\00:27:54.80 And there's so much opportunity that we have as Christians, 00:27:54.84\00:27:56.84 Seventh-day Adventist Christians 00:27:56.87\00:27:58.21 to put the gospel out there, 00:27:58.24\00:27:59.57 and to share the love of Jesus to others is fantastic. 00:27:59.61\00:28:01.88 So there's someone at home right now, 00:28:01.91\00:28:03.41 there's young person, young adult that says, 00:28:03.45\00:28:04.81 "Hey, I'm in." 00:28:04.85\00:28:06.45 Now what happens next? 00:28:06.48\00:28:07.82 Because do they need to come with a whole bunch of gear, 00:28:07.85\00:28:09.62 they may say, 00:28:09.65\00:28:10.99 "Man, I don't have anything. All I've got is just me." 00:28:11.02\00:28:12.65 They need to come with their own equipment to come. 00:28:12.69\00:28:14.99 You said it starts in August of 2021. 00:28:15.02\00:28:17.56 And you said only 12 students. 00:28:17.59\00:28:18.93 So someone right now saying, please tell me, 00:28:18.96\00:28:20.36 I'm ready to sign up right now because that's limited. 00:28:20.40\00:28:22.36 I mean, this program is going to the entire world. 00:28:22.40\00:28:24.80 So 12 is not many. 00:28:24.83\00:28:26.33 So what do they need to do to start? 00:28:26.37\00:28:28.34 Well, first, they can reach out to us on our website 00:28:28.37\00:28:30.71 or on social media. 00:28:30.74\00:28:32.07 And what is that? 00:28:32.11\00:28:33.44 For our social media, it's C4 Mission. 00:28:33.48\00:28:36.91 And that's on Instagram and Facebook. 00:28:36.95\00:28:38.95 So they can find us on both those places. 00:28:38.98\00:28:40.78 And then... 00:28:40.82\00:28:42.15 And they can find applications and information more. 00:28:42.18\00:28:43.82 That's okay. 00:28:43.85\00:28:45.19 So there's an application 00:28:45.22\00:28:46.55 so they would fill out an application. 00:28:46.59\00:28:47.96 And if they have their own equipment, 00:28:47.99\00:28:49.36 we're happy for them to bring it 00:28:49.39\00:28:50.73 so that they can use the equipment 00:28:50.76\00:28:52.09 that they're used to, that they know. 00:28:52.13\00:28:53.80 But we also have cameras on site, 00:28:53.83\00:28:55.60 we have computers on site for editing. 00:28:55.63\00:28:57.73 Do you really? 00:28:57.77\00:28:59.10 So we'll have the equipment there for them 00:28:59.13\00:29:00.54 to be able to use. 00:29:00.57\00:29:01.90 Wow, because only 12 students I mean, that's not many. 00:29:01.94\00:29:04.51 And you're keeping it small for a reason, I'm sure. 00:29:04.54\00:29:07.61 Trying to follow a biblical model of 12. 00:29:07.64\00:29:09.58 Okay. 00:29:09.61\00:29:10.95 Oh, that's neat. Okay. 00:29:10.98\00:29:12.31 And Madison Blueprint was to send out ministries 00:29:12.35\00:29:14.32 that were small that were training. 00:29:14.35\00:29:16.55 So how long are you training? 00:29:16.58\00:29:17.92 Because, okay, so someone may say, 00:29:17.95\00:29:19.29 "Okay, are you talking like a four year like, 00:29:19.32\00:29:21.82 I have to dedicate four years of my life to the curriculum?" 00:29:21.86\00:29:24.23 We're doing a nine month program. 00:29:24.26\00:29:25.59 So we'll start in August and end in May. 00:29:25.63\00:29:27.90 And with 12 students that gives a lot of time 00:29:27.93\00:29:30.13 for one on one time 00:29:30.17\00:29:31.53 with the instructors, 00:29:31.57\00:29:33.34 with our staff that will be in media 00:29:33.37\00:29:36.71 and give them a lot of in depth training in it. 00:29:36.74\00:29:40.44 So will there be like place for them to board this 00:29:40.48\00:29:43.68 or is they have to find their own housing? 00:29:43.71\00:29:45.65 It's a live in campus. Fantastic. 00:29:45.68\00:29:48.58 So we have a couple of buildings 00:29:48.62\00:29:49.95 will have guys and girls separated, of course. 00:29:49.98\00:29:52.95 We get asked that a lot. 00:29:52.99\00:29:54.32 So I feel like mentioning that. 00:29:54.36\00:29:55.69 Yeah, that's good. So yeah. 00:29:55.72\00:29:57.46 And food, someone's cooking or the students are cooking? 00:29:57.49\00:30:00.63 We have not hired the cook. 00:30:00.66\00:30:02.10 But we've interviewed a couple 00:30:02.13\00:30:03.47 and really impressed with the possibilities. 00:30:03.50\00:30:06.50 Some of the places where those two are working 00:30:06.53\00:30:08.40 are already worried 00:30:08.44\00:30:09.77 that we're gonna take their very best cook, 00:30:09.80\00:30:11.14 but we're excited about it, so. 00:30:11.17\00:30:13.04 God will fill the need wherever, 00:30:13.07\00:30:15.34 wherever it's necessary. 00:30:15.38\00:30:16.78 Yeah, fantastic. 00:30:16.81\00:30:18.15 So then I'm thinking about equipment. 00:30:18.18\00:30:20.18 Maybe I'm jumping ahead too far here. 00:30:20.22\00:30:21.75 But with the equipment, I mean, this is incredible, 00:30:21.78\00:30:23.18 because I know here at 3ABN 00:30:23.22\00:30:24.55 having studios and control rooms, 00:30:24.59\00:30:25.92 that's, it takes quite a bit of money. 00:30:25.95\00:30:27.79 So you said there's actually 00:30:27.82\00:30:29.16 you already have some computers, 00:30:29.19\00:30:30.53 you do have some equipment 00:30:30.56\00:30:31.89 that God's provided already for C4? 00:30:31.93\00:30:33.53 We do. 00:30:33.56\00:30:34.90 We've been a production house for 16 years now. 00:30:34.93\00:30:37.33 So we have our own equipment that we've been using, 00:30:37.37\00:30:40.07 but we've had some generous donors 00:30:40.10\00:30:42.00 who have approached us 00:30:42.04\00:30:43.77 without us even talking to them about the project so far. 00:30:43.81\00:30:46.68 And they've said 00:30:46.71\00:30:48.04 we've been impressed that you need this 00:30:48.08\00:30:50.25 and you need to be able to outfit 00:30:50.28\00:30:53.95 equipment for the students. 00:30:53.98\00:30:55.35 And so God is already leading before we can even ask. 00:30:55.38\00:30:58.85 It's been incredible. 00:30:58.89\00:31:00.22 Wow, that was... That's fantastic. 00:31:00.26\00:31:01.72 Jordan mentioning those donors was incredibly affirming. 00:31:01.76\00:31:05.26 Because, you know, Satan is pesky. 00:31:05.29\00:31:07.70 He is. And he plants doubts. 00:31:07.73\00:31:09.50 And so when you have one donor do this out of the blue, 00:31:09.53\00:31:13.03 and then you have another one out of the blue, 00:31:13.07\00:31:14.54 somebody you haven't even talked to about, 00:31:14.57\00:31:16.71 that's just so affirming, they say, 00:31:16.74\00:31:18.64 "Hey, I hear this is happening. 00:31:18.67\00:31:20.01 I wanna be a part or use this wherever God is, 00:31:20.04\00:31:23.61 is leading right now." 00:31:23.65\00:31:25.75 Yeah, yeah, that's incredible. 00:31:25.78\00:31:27.12 You know, because that is confirming to know, 00:31:27.15\00:31:28.48 hey, God, You've got this because, 00:31:28.52\00:31:29.85 you know, it's a dream that God's given you, 00:31:29.88\00:31:31.65 you know, to build C4 and to train the young people. 00:31:31.69\00:31:34.56 Go ahead, you're gonna say something else. 00:31:34.59\00:31:35.92 That's awesome. 00:31:35.96\00:31:37.29 I just wanna mention, we talked about curriculum, 00:31:37.33\00:31:38.66 but I forgot to mention, 00:31:38.69\00:31:40.13 there are gonna be about three trips a year. 00:31:40.16\00:31:42.53 And I say about because there might be four, 00:31:42.56\00:31:45.30 where we're gonna be taking the students out with us 00:31:45.33\00:31:48.87 to different locations 00:31:48.90\00:31:50.24 internationally and domestically. 00:31:50.27\00:31:51.77 Are you shooting more Mission Sunlights? 00:31:51.81\00:31:53.14 That's right. 00:31:53.17\00:31:54.51 One of those trips will be taking them 00:31:54.54\00:31:55.88 on a Mission Sunlight trip. 00:31:55.91\00:31:57.25 So for instance, 00:31:57.28\00:31:58.61 we don't have a picture, I'm sorry. 00:31:58.65\00:31:59.98 But recently, we were in Kenya. 00:32:00.02\00:32:01.35 So we went to Nairobi and Kisumu. 00:32:01.38\00:32:03.92 And then we also traveled to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. 00:32:03.95\00:32:08.02 And so we would be able to break up 00:32:08.06\00:32:09.86 the group into teams, 00:32:09.89\00:32:11.53 and different leaders, 00:32:11.56\00:32:12.89 like Jordan might go one direction, 00:32:12.93\00:32:14.26 our executive director may go another direction, 00:32:14.30\00:32:15.93 I may go another direction. 00:32:15.96\00:32:17.30 And we'll take the students to get 00:32:17.33\00:32:19.93 what it is in the heart of the mission field 00:32:19.97\00:32:23.37 opportunities to be media missionaries, 00:32:23.41\00:32:25.41 and produce those stories 00:32:25.44\00:32:26.78 that will be shown literally 00:32:26.81\00:32:28.18 around the world with Mission Sunlight. 00:32:28.21\00:32:30.51 And then I mentioned World Youth Group, 00:32:30.55\00:32:32.51 World Youth Group has a fantastic program 00:32:32.55\00:32:34.58 of evangelism for youth. 00:32:34.62\00:32:36.32 They're taking many of our academies 00:32:36.35\00:32:38.25 from all over the world to Cuba 00:32:38.29\00:32:40.82 and doing public evangelism 00:32:40.86\00:32:42.19 in places where there is no Adventist presence. 00:32:42.22\00:32:46.13 And so, we're wanting to partner with them. 00:32:46.16\00:32:49.26 And we'll take youth and young adults down 00:32:49.30\00:32:51.43 to do public evangelism, 00:32:51.47\00:32:52.87 again, another training tool where they understand the, 00:32:52.90\00:32:57.14 that aspect of the church work, 00:32:57.17\00:33:00.11 and then they'll produce media stories, 00:33:00.14\00:33:02.08 while they are there grabbing those stories of people 00:33:02.11\00:33:05.15 who are baptized, who were, whose lives are transformed 00:33:05.18\00:33:07.12 either those in the campaign or from previous campaign. 00:33:07.15\00:33:09.88 So, again, storytelling, 00:33:09.92\00:33:11.35 and these may end up coming back to 3ABN. 00:33:11.39\00:33:13.69 I'm sorry, you're gonna say something. 00:33:13.72\00:33:15.06 For me that's just amazing. 00:33:15.09\00:33:16.42 So actually the young people are gonna be there 00:33:16.46\00:33:17.89 recording the event, is that right? 00:33:17.93\00:33:19.73 But also, they're involved 00:33:19.76\00:33:21.10 with the standing up on the stage, so to speak, 00:33:21.13\00:33:23.47 and actually presenting the Word of God. 00:33:23.50\00:33:24.83 That's right. Wow. 00:33:24.87\00:33:26.20 And again, that ASI networking and connection, 00:33:26.23\00:33:28.84 we're all a ministry family. 00:33:28.87\00:33:30.31 Amen. 00:33:30.34\00:33:31.67 So then what's the goal then? 00:33:31.71\00:33:33.44 So once someone's been through this for nine months, 00:33:33.48\00:33:35.71 and the young person's been, they've trained, 00:33:35.74\00:33:37.68 they've been out in the field, they've got a lot of knowledge, 00:33:37.71\00:33:40.15 then what's your dream? 00:33:40.18\00:33:41.52 What happens next for that person, 00:33:41.55\00:33:42.88 that young adult? 00:33:42.92\00:33:44.25 Well, we wanna be a place 00:33:44.29\00:33:45.79 where organizations can come to us and say, 00:33:45.82\00:33:48.56 we're looking for somebody to fill this role. 00:33:48.59\00:33:50.43 We wanna build a network 00:33:50.46\00:33:51.79 where we can say 00:33:51.83\00:33:53.16 this person will fill this role for you. 00:33:53.19\00:33:54.73 And as Christopher said, 00:33:54.76\00:33:56.10 some organizations can't afford to have one person full time. 00:33:56.13\00:33:59.97 And so if we had a couple people come to us, 00:34:00.00\00:34:01.74 we could say, this person can come in here 00:34:01.77\00:34:04.37 and fill this role, 00:34:04.41\00:34:05.74 and work with a couple of different organizations 00:34:05.77\00:34:08.88 to meet that need. 00:34:08.91\00:34:10.48 And ministries have already been coming and saying, 00:34:10.51\00:34:12.58 could you train somebody to just work part time for us 00:34:12.61\00:34:15.22 or a third of the time with us? 00:34:15.25\00:34:17.12 And so, there is a need that again, 00:34:17.15\00:34:19.02 that was another tangible affirmation of, 00:34:19.05\00:34:21.19 can you bring in some youth and young adults to help us. 00:34:21.22\00:34:24.53 We can't afford you full time or whatever. 00:34:24.56\00:34:26.59 But could we bring in a youth or young adult? 00:34:26.63\00:34:28.50 Wow. 00:34:28.53\00:34:29.86 So in other words, let's say use 3ABN as an example then. 00:34:29.90\00:34:32.53 So like, if we need a project done, 00:34:32.57\00:34:35.70 you'd be willing to do that project 00:34:35.74\00:34:37.11 or also, like if we need someone like 00:34:37.14\00:34:38.87 part time to help us out with a special project. 00:34:38.91\00:34:40.81 Is that what you're referring to? 00:34:40.84\00:34:42.18 Sure, absolutely. But they're experiencing that. 00:43:13.19\00:43:15.82 By the way people are gonna go where is that in his book. 00:43:15.86\00:43:18.49 So Jack was careful in the book 00:43:18.53\00:43:19.89 because he knew it would have a broad viewership. 00:43:19.93\00:43:21.70 And he just used the wording that 00:43:21.73\00:43:24.87 he was able to just slip through the gate and get away. 00:43:24.90\00:43:27.87 He didn't want people to get caught on the supernatural. 00:43:27.90\00:43:30.27 But when we got to the documentary, 00:43:30.31\00:43:32.54 he was more comfortable 00:43:32.57\00:43:33.94 with the culture that we live in. 00:43:33.98\00:43:35.31 And people would understand 00:43:35.34\00:43:36.68 what it meant for that to happen 00:43:36.71\00:43:38.05 in the blink of an eye. 00:43:38.08\00:43:39.41 So what we're getting ready to see right now 00:43:39.45\00:43:40.78 then is when he realized this is the spot 00:43:40.82\00:43:43.05 where God performed 00:43:43.08\00:43:44.42 this powerful miracle in his life. 00:43:44.45\00:43:45.92 There were so many miracles 00:43:45.95\00:43:47.29 as we were producing this story. 00:43:47.32\00:43:48.66 And this is just one of them. 00:43:48.69\00:43:50.03 We didn't even know when we left for Germany 00:43:50.06\00:43:52.06 where this location was. 00:43:52.09\00:43:53.90 We were, we had an idea 00:43:53.93\00:43:55.43 and we were driving around and it turns out, 00:43:55.46\00:43:57.10 it's now a Science Research Center in Leipzig. 00:43:57.13\00:43:59.77 And so where the scene opens up, 00:43:59.80\00:44:01.60 we're walking on the sidewalk outside the research center. 00:44:01.64\00:44:05.17 And one of the miracles just Lord open the gate, 00:44:05.21\00:44:08.94 when student happen to be going through it 00:44:08.98\00:44:10.38 open the gate and allowed us to enter. 00:44:10.41\00:44:12.28 There's a little Memorial Holocaust Museum there. 00:44:12.31\00:44:15.45 But it wasn't open that day. 00:44:15.48\00:44:16.99 But that student allowed us, chit chatted with us, 00:44:17.02\00:44:19.89 allowed us to go in. 00:44:19.92\00:44:21.32 Probably we couldn't have gotten past 00:44:21.36\00:44:22.69 the big security guards. 00:44:22.72\00:44:24.06 But that little side gate we were able to get in, 00:44:24.09\00:44:26.39 and then just watch Jack as that moment hits him 00:44:26.43\00:44:29.66 as he realizes, 00:44:29.70\00:44:31.03 if he had entered that labor camp, 00:44:31.07\00:44:32.40 that would have been the end. 00:44:32.43\00:44:33.77 Yeah. Wow. 00:44:33.80\00:44:35.14 God had more for him. Amen. 00:44:35.17\00:44:36.50 That's a message we wanna teach to our youth and young adults. 00:44:36.54\00:44:37.97 God has more for you. Amen. 00:44:38.01\00:44:39.81 So yeah, let's go 00:44:39.84\00:44:41.18 to that powerful role right now. 00:44:41.21\00:44:43.95 In 2012, 00:44:43.98\00:44:45.35 Jack and the documentary team found the place 00:44:45.38\00:44:47.68 where he was supernaturally transported 00:44:47.72\00:44:49.48 away from the labor camp. 00:44:49.52\00:44:51.29 It now serves as a governmental Scientific Research Center 00:44:51.32\00:44:54.62 in Leipzig, Germany. 00:44:54.66\00:44:56.62 It was an emotional moment for Jack 00:44:56.66\00:44:58.29 as he remembered his near death experience 00:44:58.33\00:45:00.90 at the hands of one of the Third Reich's 00:45:00.93\00:45:02.63 most lethal labor and concentration camps. 00:45:02.66\00:45:06.03 Jack's experience is like the biblical story of Philip 00:45:06.07\00:45:09.07 found in Acts 8 00:45:09.10\00:45:10.44 when God took Philip 00:45:10.47\00:45:11.81 bodily from the road by Jerusalem, 00:45:11.84\00:45:13.71 and placed him in another city. 00:45:13.74\00:45:15.54 You must have gotten close to this 00:45:15.58\00:45:17.35 before you found yourself inside of this wall. 00:45:17.38\00:45:20.52 Well, that's the point. Yeah. 00:45:20.55\00:45:22.18 Wow. 00:45:22.22\00:45:24.62 I'm getting the chills. 00:45:24.65\00:45:27.36 But this would have been the main entrance. 00:45:27.39\00:45:29.52 You had, you've have been close to here. 00:45:29.56\00:45:30.93 I'm gonna kneel down here and have a little prayer. 00:45:30.96\00:45:32.73 Okay. 00:45:32.76\00:45:34.10 Jack was free. 00:45:55.78\00:45:57.59 During the next two days, 00:45:57.62\00:45:58.95 he made his way back to his grandparent's farm. 00:45:58.99\00:46:02.19 Wow. 00:46:02.22\00:46:03.56 It's an incredibly powerful story. 00:46:03.59\00:46:05.13 It really is. 00:46:05.16\00:46:06.49 You know, I saw you there, 00:46:06.53\00:46:08.30 of course, on camera, Christopher. 00:46:08.33\00:46:10.47 But what about you, Jordan? Machetes, yeah. 00:48:38.61\00:48:40.28 This is not a friendly greeting. 00:48:40.32\00:48:41.65 They were not happy to see us, they were quite upset. 00:48:41.68\00:48:44.69 And so we started moving faster towards our vehicle. 00:48:44.72\00:48:48.22 I would do too. 00:48:48.26\00:48:49.59 Because we just wanted to get out of there 00:48:49.62\00:48:51.99 and we realized that 00:48:52.03\00:48:53.60 we were not gonna make it to our vehicle 00:48:53.63\00:48:55.10 before they caught up to us. 00:48:55.13\00:48:56.83 And so we kind of stopped and tried to be nice 00:48:56.87\00:49:00.37 and tried to converse with them. 00:49:00.40\00:49:03.07 But obviously they didn't speak English. 00:49:03.10\00:49:04.47 And so it was just the two of us at this point. 00:49:04.51\00:49:07.71 And they took us through the market, 00:49:07.74\00:49:11.21 and we had no idea what was going on. 00:49:11.25\00:49:13.45 And there was nobody around that we recognized 00:49:13.48\00:49:15.32 from our interactions previously, 00:49:15.35\00:49:18.55 and they took us into the small office. 00:49:18.59\00:49:21.62 And as we got in there, there was a very big desk, 00:49:21.66\00:49:24.36 probably about the size of this desk, 00:49:24.39\00:49:26.63 maybe a little bit bigger. 00:49:26.66\00:49:28.00 And I'll tell you, 00:49:28.03\00:49:29.36 when you're sitting on the other side of this desk, 00:49:29.40\00:49:32.03 it makes you feel really small, 00:49:32.07\00:49:34.24 not being able to communicate with the people in the room. 00:49:34.27\00:49:36.60 So you're in trouble? 00:49:36.64\00:49:38.94 We didn't know how much trouble we were in. 00:49:38.97\00:49:42.41 But there was a lady sitting on the other side of it. 00:49:42.44\00:49:44.85 And she had a panel of 00:49:44.88\00:49:47.85 I would call it a panel of other women 00:49:47.88\00:49:49.85 in the room with her. 00:49:49.88\00:49:51.65 And we're trying to communicate what we're doing, 00:49:51.69\00:49:53.56 why we're there. 00:49:53.59\00:49:55.39 And as we're in there, 00:49:55.42\00:49:57.83 this younger woman walks in 00:49:57.86\00:49:59.19 and she starts talking to the lady behind the desk. 00:49:59.23\00:50:01.10 Turns out that she was the daughter of the woman 00:50:01.13\00:50:04.17 and she said, 00:50:04.20\00:50:05.53 she had been to our Adventist University 00:50:05.57\00:50:07.20 in Maryland, 00:50:07.24\00:50:08.57 Washington Adventist University. 00:50:08.60\00:50:09.94 Oh, wow. 00:50:09.97\00:50:11.31 And she said, if these people are working with the church, 00:50:11.34\00:50:12.67 they're okay. 00:50:12.71\00:50:14.04 As in the Seventh-day Adventist Church? 00:50:14.08\00:50:15.41 Yeah. 00:50:15.44\00:50:16.78 And so they let us go. 00:50:16.81\00:50:18.15 And as you can see on the screen here, 00:50:18.18\00:50:19.51 we got a picture with the gentleman 00:50:19.55\00:50:21.15 that chased us down. 00:50:21.18\00:50:22.52 No machetes. I see no machetes. 00:50:22.55\00:50:23.99 There were a lot happier at this point. 00:50:24.02\00:50:25.52 But it turns out that this was a market 00:50:25.55\00:50:26.89 for battered women. 00:50:26.92\00:50:28.26 And I was to give them income. Yeah. 00:50:28.29\00:50:30.33 And so they were trying to protect those women, 00:50:30.36\00:50:32.13 they didn't know why we were there. 00:50:32.16\00:50:33.50 They didn't know what our goal was. 00:50:33.53\00:50:35.26 And they just wanted to protect them 00:50:35.30\00:50:36.63 and keep them safe. 00:50:36.67\00:50:38.00 So they were technically doing their job. 00:50:38.03\00:50:39.37 They just weren't sure exactly what you were doing, 00:50:39.40\00:50:40.74 but what a miracle? 00:50:40.77\00:50:42.10 And we should say the church leaders 00:50:42.14\00:50:43.47 did eventually come in and talk with her too. 00:50:43.51\00:50:45.27 And so it was a good witnessing opportunity 00:50:45.31\00:50:47.21 that wouldn't have happened. 00:50:47.24\00:50:48.58 It just was a little interesting, 00:50:48.61\00:50:49.94 the way it started. 00:50:49.98\00:50:51.31 Not all of our stories are that exciting. 00:50:51.35\00:50:52.75 But some of them are, 00:50:52.78\00:50:54.72 are quite exciting at times, so... 00:50:54.75\00:50:56.58 You know, it's incredible, 00:50:56.62\00:50:57.95 you know, we think about the miracles, 00:50:57.99\00:50:59.32 you know, of how Network 7 started. 00:50:59.35\00:51:02.09 And then I'm thinking about the vision for C4, 00:51:02.12\00:51:04.83 and what God is doing. 00:51:04.86\00:51:06.19 I mean, I'm just so excited about this, 00:51:06.23\00:51:07.76 because God is raising up an army of young people, 00:51:07.80\00:51:10.97 as Christopher mentioned earlier, 00:51:11.00\00:51:12.83 and C4 is gonna be part of that too, 00:51:12.87\00:51:15.24 training young people in media. 00:51:15.27\00:51:17.84 And it's such a needed field 00:51:17.87\00:51:20.01 for young people to be trained in 00:51:20.04\00:51:21.38 because, again, we're connected, 00:51:21.41\00:51:22.74 it seems like to our phones and all these devices, 00:51:22.78\00:51:24.55 but to put content out there, 00:51:24.58\00:51:26.15 but to be able to present it 00:51:26.18\00:51:27.65 in the way that Christ would want us to do, 00:51:27.68\00:51:29.72 that is what C4 is all about. 00:51:29.75\00:51:31.95 We're getting ready to go to now's the address role 00:51:31.99\00:51:34.06 that gives you the opportunity 00:51:34.09\00:51:35.42 of how you can put an application in 00:51:35.46\00:51:37.39 for the C4 classes, right? 00:51:37.43\00:51:39.36 That'll be on the address role and also too, 00:51:39.39\00:51:42.26 they're looking for support as well 00:51:42.30\00:51:43.63 for equipment and other things that they need 00:51:43.67\00:51:45.77 to get this school up and going. 00:51:45.80\00:51:47.20 So here's the address role 00:51:47.24\00:51:48.57 and the more information that you can get for C4. 00:51:48.60\00:51:52.84 For more information about Network 7 Media Center, 00:51:52.87\00:51:55.71 please contact them at PO Box 25468, 00:51:55.74\00:51:59.38 Chattanooga, Tennessee 37422. 00:51:59.41\00:52:02.42 That's PO Box 25468, 00:52:02.45\00:52:05.29 Chattanooga, Tennessee 37422. 00:52:05.32\00:52:08.62 Their phone number is 423-855-4877. 00:52:08.66\00:52:13.76 That's 423-855-4877. 00:52:13.80\00:52:17.93 Their web address is n7mc.org. 00:52:17.97\00:52:22.07 That's n7mc.org. 00:52:22.10\00:52:26.14 And you can reach them via email 00:52:26.17\00:52:27.54 at admin@n7mc.org 00:52:27.58\00:52:30.45
