We run a ministry called
Pathway to Paradise Ministries.

Okay. And we began in 2014.

And I started
out my working career

as a music teacher

and taught at the
high school academy level

for about 10 years.

And shortly after my
wife Stacy and I got married.

In fact, it was
just a couple months

after we got
married felt a very strong

and specific call from God

to be involved in
ministry in some way.

We didn't know
exactly what that meant

and so we began praying.

And we prayed for
about eight months.

And it was through
an entire school year,

my wife was teaching first
and second grade at the time.

And we finally had to
know what to tell her school,

if we were coming
back the next year.

I was in graduate
school at the time,

and working on a music degree,

and I had to tell that school

very specifically,

And two days before that,

the phone rang and
the next opportunity came,

which started us down
this road of ministry work.

I can see very clearly
that one of the primary things

is to develop faith.

ways that God builds faith

For me personally,
one of the big ways

is by asking sacrifice.

struggling with this call,

And one of the things
that I had to do before

I knew where the Lord
was going to lead us next

was to be willing to give
up my doctoral degree in music.

I was halfway
through coursework,

I actually almost
finished with coursework.

But as I mentioned a minute ago,

I had to tell the
school if I was coming back,

if I needed the assistantship
again the next year.

And as we were
praying about this,

I finally came to the
place where I told the school,

"No, I'm not
coming back next year."

It wasn't till after that,

that God revealed the next step.

And so, for me personally,

this journey of growing in faith

it seems to be continual,

You know, it had everything
that we thought we'd ever need

But we became convicted

that the Lord
might want us to move

for a couple of reasons.

than we felt like we needed.

Well, that was in the springtime

and so, 179 days went by.

And we had a few
people look at the house,

but there were no offers.

maybe this is why the Lord
