Wow, praise the Lord. 00:11:15.50\00:11:17.61 That's a blessing, man. 00:11:17.64\00:11:19.31 That's awesome. 00:11:19.34\00:11:20.68 GLOW. Yep. 00:11:20.78\00:11:22.18 GLOW, I have to tell a story real quickly 00:11:22.21\00:11:24.65 before we launch ourselves into this, 00:11:24.68\00:11:26.41 my first experience with GLOW. 00:11:26.45\00:11:28.38 I was not raised 00:11:28.42\00:11:29.75 in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:11:29.78\00:11:31.12 by the way. 00:11:31.15\00:11:32.49 And I attended for my undergrad degree. 00:11:32.52\00:11:34.56 I attended a Baptist University 00:11:34.59\00:11:37.73 where I was studying music and history. 00:11:37.76\00:11:40.00 And little did I know 00:11:40.03\00:11:41.53 that even though I had been studying 00:11:41.56\00:11:43.06 about Sabbath keeping, 00:11:43.10\00:11:44.43 I've been studying the messages and the truths 00:11:44.47\00:11:47.64 as taught by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:11:47.67\00:11:49.74 I had not formally committed to becoming 00:11:49.77\00:11:51.97 Seventh-day Adventist Christian. 00:11:52.01\00:11:53.58 And I had heard 00:11:53.61\00:11:54.94 that there was a Seventh-day Adventist Church in the area, 00:11:54.98\00:11:56.75 but I really didn't go searching, per Se. 00:11:56.85\00:11:59.85 But at this particular university, 00:11:59.88\00:12:01.45 I was working in the music department. 00:12:01.48\00:12:02.82 And often, I would find myself in a piano room, 00:12:02.85\00:12:05.32 practicing piano, practicing voice, 00:12:05.35\00:12:07.56 you know, doing vocal warm-ups because I was a vocal major. 00:12:07.66\00:12:10.03 And I'll never forget going in every single week 00:12:10.13\00:12:13.16 to a particular booth 00:12:13.19\00:12:14.63 where there was this little private room 00:12:14.66\00:12:16.00 and a piano, 00:12:16.03\00:12:17.37 I would go in there and do scales 00:12:17.47\00:12:18.80 and sing vocal scales. 00:12:18.83\00:12:20.17 But every time I would go into this room, 00:12:20.20\00:12:21.54 there was always this little tiny tract 00:12:21.57\00:12:23.41 or piece of paper laying on the piano. 00:12:23.44\00:12:25.47 Again, this is a Baptist University. 00:12:25.51\00:12:27.58 And so, it would say on the front of it, GLOW. 00:12:27.61\00:12:29.64 And each and every week... Are you serious? 00:12:29.68\00:12:31.08 It had a new... What? 00:12:31.11\00:12:33.62 And this was in Northeast Arkansas, 00:12:33.65\00:12:35.72 because this is where I grew up in Northeast Arkansas. 00:12:35.75\00:12:37.89 And they would always have a new truth, 00:12:37.92\00:12:40.86 a new topic, you know. 00:12:40.89\00:12:42.49 And so, I would pick that little tract up 00:12:42.52\00:12:44.93 and I would take five to ten minutes of my time, 00:12:44.96\00:12:47.80 just to kind of go through it 00:12:47.83\00:12:49.16 and really comprehend and think to myself, 00:12:49.20\00:12:51.07 I've been studying these things, 00:12:51.10\00:12:52.43 I've been looking through them every single week. 00:12:52.47\00:12:54.54 Finally, I learned 00:12:54.57\00:12:56.54 who was putting these tracts in there. 00:12:56.57\00:12:57.91 And even though, 00:12:57.94\00:12:59.27 I didn't know her at the moment, 00:12:59.31\00:13:00.68 I come to find out, long story short, 00:13:00.71\00:13:02.04 she was the daughter 00:13:02.08\00:13:04.15 of the local Seventh-day Adventist pastor. 00:13:04.25\00:13:06.55 She was also coming there for piano lessons. 00:13:06.58\00:13:10.39 And she was sharing her faith 00:13:10.42\00:13:12.25 and so my very first technically, 00:13:12.29\00:13:14.69 very first, kind of... 00:13:14.72\00:13:16.62 I guess you could say I got Bible Bopped 00:13:16.73\00:13:18.83 on a weekly basis by these GLOW tracts 00:13:18.86\00:13:22.56 because it was things that I was studying, 00:13:22.60\00:13:24.27 things that I was learning. 00:13:24.30\00:13:25.63 And so, it just, 00:13:25.67\00:13:27.04 that goes to show the reach of GLOW, 00:13:27.07\00:13:29.74 in the sense that it's everywhere. 00:13:29.77\00:13:31.67 I mean, if it's in Northeast Arkansas, 00:13:31.71\00:13:33.48 if you're from Northeast Arkansas 00:13:33.58\00:13:34.91 or ever been there, 00:13:34.94\00:13:36.28 you know, it's just a kind of a dry, 00:13:36.31\00:13:37.65 flat, delta region out in the middle of nowhere 00:13:37.68\00:13:39.38 and there's very little Adventist presence, 00:13:39.41\00:13:41.82 but you know, a witness to me on a weekly basis. 00:13:41.85\00:13:45.95 So, GLOW, tell us a little bit about what is GLOW, 00:13:45.99\00:13:48.86 because there maybe someone watching right now 00:13:48.89\00:13:50.43 that doesn't know who or what GLOW is 00:13:50.53\00:13:53.03 and then, kind of, give us an update 00:13:53.06\00:13:54.40 on what's been happening. 00:13:54.43\00:13:55.76 Yeah, sure. Wow, man. 00:13:55.80\00:13:57.37 What am I going to say with that? 00:13:57.40\00:13:58.73 That was amazing. 00:13:58.77\00:14:00.14 I have no idea that that's what happened. 00:14:00.17\00:14:02.34 I didn't know you got GLOW tracts. 00:14:02.37\00:14:03.71 Yeah. Incredible. 00:14:03.81\00:14:05.14 Well, yes. 00:14:05.17\00:14:06.51 So, basically your experience of finding a tract, 00:14:06.54\00:14:08.91 you know, in the piano room 00:14:08.94\00:14:10.75 from some church member that just, you know, 00:14:10.78\00:14:12.38 set the tract there, 00:14:12.41\00:14:13.82 is exactly a perfect illustration 00:14:13.85\00:14:16.12 of what GLOW is all about. 00:14:16.15\00:14:17.49 So what we do with GLOW 00:14:17.59\00:14:18.92 is we're just basically encouraging church members 00:14:18.95\00:14:20.86 to carry literature in their pockets 00:14:20.89\00:14:22.22 or their purses wherever they go 00:14:22.26\00:14:24.23 so that they can leave it somewhere, 00:14:24.26\00:14:25.99 or they can give it to somebody as God opens up the door for, 00:14:26.03\00:14:29.16 you know, divine appointment. 00:14:29.20\00:14:30.57 So, you know, just by carrying it with you 00:14:30.60\00:14:32.93 and looking for divine appointments, 00:14:32.97\00:14:34.50 God has opened up 00:14:34.54\00:14:35.87 a lot of amazing stories like yours. 00:14:35.90\00:14:38.91 And a lot of people have been led to Christ. 00:14:38.94\00:14:42.88 So, that's kind of in a nutshell 00:14:42.91\00:14:44.75 what GLOW is about in terms of our emphasis. 00:14:44.78\00:14:46.92 So, we make these little GLOW pamphlets. 00:14:47.02\00:14:48.35 Right. 00:14:48.38\00:14:49.72 We have about getting close 00:14:49.75\00:14:51.29 to 50 different titles now in English. 00:14:51.32\00:14:54.26 And since the ministry started in 2007, 00:14:54.29\00:14:58.03 we've printed 118.5 million of them 00:14:58.06\00:15:02.73 but those are just the ones that we know. 00:15:02.76\00:15:05.13 So, there's people in different parts of the world 00:15:05.17\00:15:07.54 with Literature Ministries, 00:15:07.57\00:15:09.34 portion of the church that print these tracts, 00:15:09.37\00:15:10.71 and we're not sure 00:15:10.81\00:15:12.14 actually how many have been printed 00:15:12.17\00:15:13.51 because they don't necessarily report to us all the time. 00:15:13.54\00:15:15.01 But the ones that we know 00:15:15.04\00:15:16.38 of is about 118.5 million tracts. 00:15:16.41\00:15:17.98 So, we're getting close to 120 million, 00:15:18.01\00:15:19.78 which will be a great milestone for us. 00:15:19.81\00:15:23.49 You know, you asked for an update, 00:15:23.52\00:15:24.85 I'll just mention. Sure, yeah, absolutely. 00:15:24.89\00:15:26.22 This is something that the viewers 00:15:26.25\00:15:27.59 might be interested in is that 00:15:27.66\00:15:28.99 we're actually developing a new Halloween tract, 00:15:29.02\00:15:31.53 one of the best times 00:15:31.56\00:15:32.89 to pass out literatures on Halloween. 00:15:32.93\00:15:34.50 When the kids are coming to you, 00:15:34.53\00:15:36.20 give them a tract, 00:15:36.23\00:15:37.57 or you can go out with your kids 00:15:37.60\00:15:38.93 and giveaway tracts. 00:15:38.97\00:15:40.34 You call it Trick or Truth, or Glowing in the Dark. 00:15:40.37\00:15:42.44 Right. 00:15:42.47\00:15:43.81 So, we've got a new one 00:15:43.91\00:15:45.24 coming out on ghosts for Halloween. 00:15:45.27\00:15:47.08 And we have a new one coming out 00:15:47.18\00:15:48.54 actually for Black Friday distribution 00:15:48.58\00:15:51.15 and the topic is about Black Friday 00:15:51.18\00:15:52.75 and how Jesus died on Black Friday, 00:15:52.78\00:15:55.45 when it turned the sun, 00:15:55.48\00:15:57.39 turned out while Jesus was on the cross. 00:15:57.42\00:15:59.22 So, it's a salvation tract. 00:15:59.25\00:16:01.62 So, anyway, those are just 00:16:01.66\00:16:03.06 a couple new ones that are coming out. 00:16:03.09\00:16:04.43 That is amazing. 00:16:04.46\00:16:05.79 It's interesting that you mentioned Halloween 00:16:05.83\00:16:07.90 because my wife and I, the last couple of years, 00:16:07.93\00:16:11.77 that we have been in an area 00:16:11.80\00:16:13.74 where I either wasn't traveling or I was at home 00:16:13.77\00:16:16.04 during the time of Halloween, 00:16:16.07\00:16:17.94 you know, we thought to ourselves, 00:16:17.97\00:16:19.31 you know, we didn't want to be those people 00:16:19.34\00:16:20.98 because some people are just absolutely like, 00:16:21.01\00:16:22.58 you know, no participation, turn your light off, 00:16:22.61\00:16:25.08 you know, make it like you're not home but, 00:16:25.11\00:16:27.02 you know, we've lived in a couple of neighborhoods 00:16:27.05\00:16:28.62 where there's been 00:16:28.65\00:16:29.98 a large circulation of kids during that time. 00:16:30.09\00:16:31.99 And so, the last couple years, we have taken a GLOW tract. 00:16:32.02\00:16:35.72 And I think we might have used one on, like, 00:16:35.76\00:16:37.63 hell or the truth about hell or the truth about, 00:16:37.66\00:16:41.06 you know, this is the devil 00:16:41.10\00:16:42.43 in charge of hell or something like that. 00:16:42.46\00:16:43.87 I can't remember exactly 00:16:43.90\00:16:45.23 but we would take the GLOW tract 00:16:45.27\00:16:46.60 and we would basically rubber-band it 00:16:46.63\00:16:47.97 to, you know, a small like, 00:16:48.00\00:16:49.54 you know, piece of candy of some kind. 00:16:49.57\00:16:51.17 And when they would come to the door, 00:16:51.21\00:16:53.38 we would chunk this into their bag 00:16:53.48\00:16:55.14 and those kids... 00:16:55.18\00:16:56.51 You know, again, most kids will put candy in their bag, 00:16:56.54\00:16:58.25 they just open it up, dump it in, 00:16:58.28\00:17:00.32 and then they turn around about face and walk away. 00:17:00.35\00:17:02.25 But it was interesting because they caught their eye, 00:17:02.28\00:17:04.72 I would put it in their bag, 00:17:04.75\00:17:06.09 and then they would open it up and look down in it 00:17:06.12\00:17:07.46 and see, like, 00:17:07.56\00:17:08.89 "What did this guy just put into my bag?" 00:17:08.92\00:17:10.43 So, it kind of turned heads, like, "What is it, what is it?" 00:17:10.46\00:17:12.83 But it's awesome to think 00:17:12.86\00:17:14.20 that you can take opportunities like that 00:17:14.30\00:17:16.16 and you can witness, you can share 00:17:16.20\00:17:17.83 the gospel of Jesus Christ. 00:17:17.87\00:17:19.20 And in fact, we actually have a young woman 00:17:19.23\00:17:21.94 who I'm actually friends with, 00:17:21.97\00:17:24.01 she was brought into the church and baptized 00:17:24.04\00:17:26.01 and even went to a Bible college 00:17:26.04\00:17:27.38 and is serving God right now. 00:17:27.48\00:17:28.81 All because her little brother on Halloween got a GLOW tract 00:17:28.84\00:17:31.88 when he was out collecting candy 00:17:31.91\00:17:33.72 and then she looked through his bag of candy 00:17:33.75\00:17:35.88 and you know, connected the dots. 00:17:35.92\00:17:37.92 One last thing I was just going to say. 00:17:37.95\00:17:39.45 Yeah. 00:17:39.49\00:17:42.39 Before we move on to the next topic with GLOW is, 00:17:42.42\00:17:45.26 we do these things called mission trips 00:17:45.29\00:17:46.70 where we're not going to build, 00:17:46.80\00:17:48.13 you know, set up a building 00:17:48.16\00:17:49.50 or you know do preaching or anything 00:17:49.53\00:17:51.03 but we get people together 00:17:51.07\00:17:52.77 and we go and we target a big city or big event. 00:17:52.80\00:17:56.20 And our objective is to pass out literature 00:17:56.24\00:17:58.41 to everything that breathes and that can read. 00:17:58.44\00:18:00.88 And so, we typically go out 00:18:00.98\00:18:03.35 and we do million-tract mission trips or half million. 00:18:03.45\00:18:06.72 We just finished a half million mission trip 00:18:06.75\00:18:09.08 in California. 00:18:09.12\00:18:11.45 And we're going to be doing a million-tract mission trip 00:18:11.49\00:18:14.06 coming up too in Germany, 00:18:14.09\00:18:15.92 this summer in June. 00:18:15.96\00:18:17.53 Wow. 00:18:17.56\00:18:18.89 There's going to be some big soccer games 00:18:18.93\00:18:20.70 coming up in Munich. 00:18:20.73\00:18:22.33 And so we just want to put the word out, 00:18:22.36\00:18:24.80 we're still looking for more people 00:18:24.83\00:18:26.30 to come and join us. 00:18:26.33\00:18:27.67 You don't have to speak German. 00:18:27.70\00:18:29.47 The tracts will do the speaking for you. 00:18:29.50\00:18:31.61 All you have to do is just smile, 00:18:31.64\00:18:33.48 give out the tracts. 00:18:33.51\00:18:34.84 And we're in the process of printing 00:18:34.88\00:18:36.85 that million tracts right now. 00:18:36.88\00:18:38.58 So if people want to learn more about that mission trip 00:18:38.61\00:18:41.25 and potentially and come and join us, 00:18:41.28\00:18:43.59 they can go to GlowMissionTrips.org. 00:18:43.62\00:18:45.72 And it has all the information as well as registration there, 00:18:45.75\00:18:47.92 GlowMissionTrips.org. 00:18:47.96\00:18:49.59 We need some more people 00:18:49.62\00:18:50.96 and it's going to be great front-line ministry 00:18:50.99\00:18:52.33 to pass out a million tracts to people in Europe. 00:18:52.36\00:18:54.80 Hopefully, the corona virus 00:18:54.83\00:18:56.16 won't stop the games from happening. 00:18:56.20\00:18:57.57 Right. 00:18:57.60\00:18:58.93 But, you know, if it doesn't, we'll be out there. 00:18:58.97\00:19:00.34 Hey, you know what? 00:19:00.37\00:19:01.70 I think, you know, God's gonna do all that He can 00:19:01.74\00:19:03.07 to get His message out there. 00:19:03.10\00:19:04.44 And, you know, I some people, you know, 00:19:04.47\00:19:05.81 will pick up these little GLOW tracts 00:19:05.84\00:19:07.18 and they'll think to themselves, 00:19:07.21\00:19:08.54 "Well, this doesn't have enough information." 00:19:08.58\00:19:09.91 Well, it's not designed to be a full-length, 00:19:09.94\00:19:11.75 you know, Bible study, 00:19:11.78\00:19:13.11 but yet it provides enough information, 00:19:13.15\00:19:15.18 it provides enough to hook a person, 00:19:15.22\00:19:17.29 you know, to get them to thinking, 00:19:17.32\00:19:18.65 and you know, I think to myself like I mentioned earlier, 00:19:18.69\00:19:20.96 you know, dropping that little GLOW tract 00:19:20.99\00:19:22.46 into some kid's candy, 00:19:22.49\00:19:24.36 you know, most parents, 00:19:24.39\00:19:25.73 maybe not all, but most parents, 00:19:25.76\00:19:27.10 you know, will be responsible enough 00:19:27.20\00:19:28.53 to go through that candy at the end of the night, 00:19:28.56\00:19:30.17 just to check it to make sure there's nothing there bad, 00:19:30.20\00:19:32.40 you know, to pick it through. 00:19:32.43\00:19:33.84 And they're going to come across that GLOW tract 00:19:33.87\00:19:35.37 and even if you were to reach one person, 00:19:35.40\00:19:37.41 just think of that one mother, 00:19:37.44\00:19:38.77 that one father who pulls that out of, 00:19:38.81\00:19:41.04 you know, the bag and reads that and it, 00:19:41.08\00:19:44.31 you know, plants a seed there and interests them, 00:19:44.35\00:19:46.92 you know, enough to go research it more. 00:19:46.95\00:19:49.35 And I just praise the Lord for GLOW Ministry 00:19:49.38\00:19:51.59 who make these tracts. 00:19:51.62\00:19:52.95 Praise the Lord. 00:19:52.99\00:19:54.32 So, you know, 00:19:54.36\00:19:55.69 we know that you're here to talk about GLOW, 00:19:55.72\00:19:57.33 but I also know you're here 00:19:57.36\00:19:58.73 to talk about a new project that GLOW has going for it. 00:19:58.76\00:20:02.10 So, go ahead and let's talk about this new project 00:20:02.13\00:20:03.47 that GLOW has. 00:20:03.57\00:20:04.90 Sure. 00:20:04.93\00:20:06.27 So, Literature Ministries is really comprehensive, 00:20:06.30\00:20:09.60 meaning it's a ministry 00:20:09.64\00:20:11.77 that everybody can be involved in. 00:20:11.81\00:20:14.64 And it even has facets of it which are specialized, 00:20:14.68\00:20:17.65 highly specialized. 00:20:17.68\00:20:19.01 So, thus far, 00:20:19.05\00:20:20.38 we've talked about literature distribution. 00:20:20.42\00:20:21.95 This is something everybody can do. 00:20:21.98\00:20:23.39 We can all carry tracts with us and give them away for free. 00:20:23.42\00:20:26.59 But one very important aspect of Literature Ministries, 00:20:26.62\00:20:30.63 which we don't often talk about, 00:20:30.66\00:20:32.56 which used to be actually a very strong portion 00:20:32.59\00:20:36.40 of the Ministry of the Adventist Church 00:20:36.43\00:20:39.73 is full-time, 00:20:39.77\00:20:41.34 colporteuring, full-time adult colporteuring. 00:20:41.37\00:20:43.61 Some people here have... 00:20:43.64\00:20:45.04 You know, the viewers have maybe heard of 00:20:45.07\00:20:47.08 or seen our students that go out during the summer 00:20:47.18\00:20:49.48 for ten-week programs, and they sell softcover books, 00:20:49.51\00:20:52.65 but we're talking now about people who choose 00:20:52.68\00:20:56.45 and feel called by God 00:20:56.48\00:20:57.99 to actually take this on as a vocation, 00:20:58.02\00:21:00.26 where they're going out and they're presenting books, 00:21:00.29\00:21:03.06 salvation, salvational books to people in their homes, 00:21:03.09\00:21:06.90 and they're doing that as a job full time. 00:21:06.93\00:21:08.26 Right. 00:21:08.30\00:21:09.63 Okay, so just to pause for a moment to confirm 00:21:09.66\00:21:11.37 because there may be someone watching this, 00:21:11.40\00:21:13.23 as you just said, colporteuring. 00:21:13.34\00:21:14.84 And you kind of described a little bit there, 00:21:14.87\00:21:16.71 but just a little bit more detail. 00:21:16.81\00:21:18.27 What is colporteuring for someone 00:21:18.31\00:21:19.64 who may not ever heard that before what it is? 00:21:19.67\00:21:21.28 So, colporteuring is a really old French word. 00:21:21.31\00:21:23.45 It's very difficult to spell actually, too. 00:21:23.48\00:21:25.41 But basically what colporteuring is, 00:21:25.45\00:21:27.52 it's something that's been around 00:21:27.62\00:21:28.95 actually for centuries, 00:21:28.98\00:21:31.09 where people take religious books, 00:21:31.12\00:21:34.59 and they go and they sell them. 00:21:34.62\00:21:36.52 They're going out into communities, 00:21:36.56\00:21:37.93 going door to door typically, 00:21:37.96\00:21:39.39 although there's other ways of doing it, 00:21:39.43\00:21:41.00 and they're selling books, peddling, proselytizing, 00:21:41.03\00:21:44.17 you know. 00:21:44.27\00:21:45.60 Technically, actually in the United States 00:21:45.63\00:21:46.97 when we sell books with colporteuring 00:21:47.00\00:21:48.90 and the Adventist Church, 00:21:48.94\00:21:50.31 it's not considered soliciting, 00:21:50.34\00:21:51.67 but actually proselytizing. 00:21:51.71\00:21:53.04 It's one of our means for helping people 00:21:53.07\00:21:55.11 come to knowledge of the truth that our church has to offer. 00:21:55.14\00:21:58.68 Wow. Okay. 00:21:58.71\00:22:00.12 So, this new project, 00:22:00.15\00:22:01.52 what GLOW has with colporteuring 00:22:01.55\00:22:03.89 is creating a new opportunity for people 00:22:03.92\00:22:06.96 to become more involved in a little bit more 00:22:06.99\00:22:09.46 of an organized way for this colporteuring, going out, 00:22:09.49\00:22:12.33 and I was actually talking to you guys before, 00:22:12.36\00:22:14.80 as we were discussing before this interview. 00:22:14.83\00:22:17.37 I was fascinated 00:22:17.47\00:22:18.80 by how much potentially a person can make, 00:22:18.83\00:22:22.04 as you can actually make a living 00:22:22.07\00:22:24.01 off colporteuring. 00:22:24.11\00:22:25.44 Yes. 00:22:25.47\00:22:26.81 And some people don't believe that, 00:22:26.84\00:22:28.18 or they don't know it. 00:22:28.21\00:22:29.54 They think, "Can you really make a living 00:22:29.58\00:22:30.91 going door to door, selling religious books?" 00:22:30.95\00:22:32.41 Exactly. Yeah. 00:22:32.45\00:22:33.82 So, let's talk a little bit about that. 00:22:33.85\00:22:35.25 Because while we know 00:22:35.28\00:22:36.69 that we don't do ministry for money, 00:22:36.72\00:22:38.79 we're not in it for the money, 00:22:38.82\00:22:40.16 we're in it for getting the gospel out there. 00:22:40.26\00:22:41.72 But you know what? 00:22:41.76\00:22:43.09 The Lord provides for His people, 00:22:43.12\00:22:44.46 and we need our needs taken care of. 00:22:44.49\00:22:45.96 And so, in this case, I think, Oleg, 00:22:45.99\00:22:48.10 you're going to talk a little bit about somebody 00:22:48.13\00:22:49.90 who's watching that says, "You know what, 00:22:49.93\00:22:51.47 I would love to be in colporteuring ministry, 00:22:51.50\00:22:53.07 but I can't support myself with that, right? 00:22:53.10\00:22:55.10 I have to have another job on the side." 00:22:55.14\00:22:56.81 Talk a little bit about how financially it can benefit 00:22:56.84\00:22:59.64 someone who commits themselves full time to it. 00:22:59.67\00:23:02.88 Sure. 00:23:02.91\00:23:04.25 Well, Ryan, you know, before I go into that, 00:23:04.28\00:23:05.98 I have to say that, sometimes, 00:23:06.01\00:23:07.92 I get so passionate about colporteuring ministry, 00:23:07.95\00:23:11.59 that I emphasize so much this ministry 00:23:11.62\00:23:13.96 that people might think 00:23:14.06\00:23:15.42 that this is the only ministry that exists. 00:23:15.46\00:23:17.63 No. God uses so many ministries. 00:23:17.66\00:23:19.53 He uses... 00:23:19.56\00:23:20.90 As a matter of fact, I met a lady few weekends ago, 00:23:20.93\00:23:23.37 I was preaching in the church. 00:23:23.47\00:23:24.80 And I've asked her, 00:23:24.83\00:23:26.33 "How did you come to the church?" 00:23:26.37\00:23:28.40 And she says, "Well, for five years, 00:23:28.44\00:23:29.77 I've been watching 3ABN, and I was an Adventist 00:23:29.80\00:23:33.98 without even stepping into the church 00:23:34.08\00:23:35.98 for five years." 00:23:36.01\00:23:37.35 And she was coming to the church 00:23:37.45\00:23:38.78 only for three months, then when I met her. 00:23:38.81\00:23:40.82 So, I know God is using so many ministries, 00:23:40.92\00:23:43.69 but I get so passionate about canvassing. 00:23:43.72\00:23:46.55 And sometimes people say, 00:23:46.59\00:23:47.92 "Hey, you're too passionate about it." 00:23:47.96\00:23:50.03 So, anyway, I came... 00:23:50.06\00:23:52.59 Me and my family, we came to United States. 00:23:52.63\00:23:55.80 I came to study here. 00:23:55.83\00:23:57.57 I was going to Weimar. 00:23:57.60\00:24:00.24 And in order to go through the course, 00:24:00.34\00:24:03.51 I need to pay, I need to get $15,000. 00:24:03.54\00:24:08.08 I didn't have any money because, you know, 00:24:08.11\00:24:09.44 you come from South America, 00:24:09.48\00:24:10.85 you change the money that you have, 00:24:10.95\00:24:12.55 and all of a sudden, that's nothing, you know, here. 00:24:12.58\00:24:16.32 So, I only had three and a half weeks 00:24:16.35\00:24:19.52 before the classes would start. 00:24:19.55\00:24:21.36 And I was talking to the people there 00:24:21.39\00:24:22.72 and they were saying, 00:24:22.76\00:24:24.13 "How would you pay for this?" 00:24:24.16\00:24:25.49 And I said, "Well, 00:24:25.53\00:24:26.90 the only thing I know how to do well 00:24:26.93\00:24:28.63 and probably could do it 00:24:28.66\00:24:30.07 here is canvassing or colporteuring." 00:24:30.10\00:24:32.00 And they say, "But you know what? 00:24:32.03\00:24:34.64 I didn't know that you can do that here. 00:24:34.67\00:24:36.60 Maybe in South America, you can earn that money, 00:24:36.71\00:24:39.01 but you only have three and a half weeks." 00:24:39.04\00:24:41.11 I said, "Well that's the only option I have." 00:24:41.14\00:24:43.35 So, anyway, I got some books and I went out in the, 00:24:43.38\00:24:48.38 in the town nearby. 00:24:48.42\00:24:49.75 Sacramento area. 00:24:49.78\00:24:51.12 Yeah, close to Sacramento 00:24:51.15\00:24:53.05 and started colporteuring every day, long hours... 00:24:53.09\00:24:57.66 This is just going door to door... 00:24:57.69\00:24:59.03 Door to door. 00:24:59.06\00:25:00.40 knocking on doors. Knocking on doors. 00:25:00.50\00:25:01.83 Yeah. And this is in California. 00:25:01.86\00:25:03.20 Right, okay. 00:25:03.23\00:25:04.57 Now, let's remember that, you know, 00:25:04.60\00:25:05.93 we're talking about the secular Westside, 00:25:05.97\00:25:07.30 you know, so. 00:25:07.34\00:25:08.67 So yeah. 00:25:08.70\00:25:10.04 So I started doing that and I said, "Lord, 00:25:10.07\00:25:11.41 I only have three and a half weeks. 00:25:11.44\00:25:12.77 I know You have been faithful in the past, 00:25:12.81\00:25:14.14 You have showed me miracles in this ministry, 00:25:14.18\00:25:15.94 I trust You." 00:25:15.98\00:25:17.35 And I started working. 00:25:17.38\00:25:18.71 And I know, just guess, Ryan. 00:25:18.75\00:25:20.42 Do you think God gave me in three and a half weeks 00:25:20.52\00:25:22.25 what I needed for the school, the 15,000? 00:25:22.28\00:25:24.39 We wouldn't be talking about it otherwise. 00:25:24.42\00:25:26.19 So, I believe, I believe. Absolutely. 00:25:26.22\00:25:28.16 God gave me that and a little more 00:25:28.19\00:25:30.13 in three and a half weeks. 00:25:30.16\00:25:31.59 But it's amazing 00:25:31.63\00:25:32.96 that it's not only the money thing, you know. 00:25:32.99\00:25:37.07 In those three and a half weeks, 00:25:37.17\00:25:39.47 by going door to door. 00:25:39.50\00:25:42.60 Fifty-eight people have signed up 00:25:42.64\00:25:44.94 to study the Bible. 00:25:44.97\00:25:46.31 Wow. 00:25:46.34\00:25:47.68 So, it's amazing to see how people are ready. 00:25:47.71\00:25:51.08 Like, they're waiting for someone 00:25:51.11\00:25:52.58 to come and invite them to study, to know more. 00:25:52.61\00:25:55.25 You know, there is a lot of hunger 00:25:55.28\00:25:56.79 for the truth there. 00:25:56.82\00:25:58.15 Absolutely. 00:25:58.19\00:25:59.52 You know, and what you just said 00:25:59.55\00:26:00.89 just sparked interest, 00:26:00.96\00:26:02.29 'cause you said you were in Sacramento. 00:26:02.32\00:26:03.66 I've had firsthand opportunity of witnessing 00:26:03.69\00:26:05.63 and actually walking the streets of Sacramento 00:26:05.66\00:26:07.60 when I was at AFCOE. 00:26:07.63\00:26:08.96 You know, we did some Bible work 00:26:09.00\00:26:10.37 and preparing for an evangelistic series. 00:26:10.40\00:26:12.23 And, you know, 00:26:12.27\00:26:13.64 sometimes you get off into some areas 00:26:13.67\00:26:16.30 that you otherwise wouldn't end up in. 00:26:16.34\00:26:17.71 And I was kind of 00:26:17.74\00:26:19.07 in a very interesting part of town. 00:26:19.11\00:26:22.21 I'll just say that. 00:26:22.24\00:26:23.65 But it's powerful. 00:26:23.68\00:26:25.78 You know, God has people out there 00:26:25.81\00:26:27.22 that are waiting on you. 00:26:27.25\00:26:28.58 Yes. 00:26:28.62\00:26:29.95 And I remember walking through this 00:26:29.98\00:26:31.32 rather scary neighborhood and thinking to myself, 00:26:31.35\00:26:34.06 "Lord, please protect us because there were..." 00:26:34.09\00:26:35.79 You know, this is a little rough part of town. 00:26:35.82\00:26:37.86 But I remember going into this particular area, 00:26:37.89\00:26:39.66 knocked on several doors, 00:26:39.69\00:26:41.40 but obviously knocked on this one lady's door. 00:26:41.43\00:26:43.37 She answers and she says, "You're an answer to prayer." 00:26:43.40\00:26:45.87 She said, "I've been praying for God 00:26:45.90\00:26:47.24 to send me someone who can help introduce me to Jesus 00:26:47.34\00:26:50.61 and help teach me 00:26:50.64\00:26:51.97 and help me understand the Bible 00:26:52.01\00:26:53.34 because I don't understand it." 00:26:53.38\00:26:54.71 And so what we're talking about here, 00:26:54.74\00:26:56.08 we're talking about real witnessing opportunities. 00:26:56.11\00:26:58.18 And this is kind of where we talked a little bit 00:26:58.21\00:27:00.12 of how you can make a living being a colporteur. 00:27:00.15\00:27:02.62 But now let's get down 00:27:02.65\00:27:03.99 to the most serious part of this, 00:27:04.09\00:27:05.42 which is the witnessing aspect of this. 00:27:05.45\00:27:07.26 You know, God has commissioned each and every one of us 00:27:07.29\00:27:09.62 to take the gospel to the world. 00:27:09.66\00:27:11.43 And we all can play a role and our part in that. 00:27:11.46\00:27:13.40 And I think of the Great Commission 00:27:13.43\00:27:15.06 how Jesus said, you know, go ye into all nations. 00:27:15.10\00:27:18.83 And so that being said, 00:27:18.87\00:27:21.14 there's someone 00:27:21.17\00:27:22.50 who's waiting to receive that tract 00:27:22.54\00:27:24.74 or waiting to receive that book or waiting to, 00:27:24.77\00:27:27.68 you know, receive those series of Bible studies, 00:27:27.71\00:27:29.78 and they are earnestly and honestly desiring 00:27:29.81\00:27:32.21 the transformation in their life. 00:27:32.25\00:27:33.72 So talk to us a little bit about 00:27:33.75\00:27:35.08 maybe some stories, maybe some instances 00:27:35.12\00:27:36.89 and how does this ministry open doors for ministry, 00:27:36.92\00:27:42.06 you know, for fruit 00:27:42.09\00:27:43.43 because again, churches are going to say, 00:27:43.53\00:27:44.86 people are going to say, "You know what, 00:27:44.89\00:27:47.20 we want to see the fruit of our labor, right? 00:27:47.23\00:27:49.76 We do ministry, 00:27:49.80\00:27:51.13 because we want to see lives changed." 00:27:51.17\00:27:52.50 You know, there's nothing, there's no greater feeling 00:27:52.53\00:27:54.24 than seeing that person make a decision for baptism. 00:27:54.27\00:27:56.71 So, how does this ministry, you know, relate to that? 00:27:56.81\00:28:00.38 Well, it's interesting that, if I may, 00:28:00.41\00:28:03.04 I want to tell a story. 00:28:03.08\00:28:04.41 Sure. 00:28:04.45\00:28:05.78 One of those days 00:28:05.81\00:28:07.32 in those three and a half weeks, 00:28:07.35\00:28:08.78 it was a Sunday and I knocked on the door, 00:28:08.82\00:28:11.05 a lady comes out. 00:28:11.09\00:28:12.42 And I say, "Well, I'm here to talk about health, 00:28:12.45\00:28:15.12 physical, mental and spiritual health." 00:28:15.16\00:28:16.93 And she says, "That's interesting. 00:28:17.03\00:28:18.69 But we're busy right now." 00:28:18.73\00:28:20.10 She says, "All our family, we have extended family here. 00:28:20.13\00:28:23.16 We're all watching a soccer game. 00:28:23.20\00:28:25.37 And it's an important game, so we can't receive you now." 00:28:25.40\00:28:30.94 And I say, "Ma'am, this is so important. 00:28:30.97\00:28:34.48 I need to talk to you." 00:28:34.51\00:28:35.84 And she says, "No, my husband is there. 00:28:35.88\00:28:37.75 He's watching." 00:28:37.78\00:28:39.11 I said, "Can you call your husband, please?" 00:28:39.15\00:28:40.52 And she says, "I will. But he'll be upset." 00:28:40.55\00:28:42.62 I said, "Please call him." 00:28:42.65\00:28:43.99 So, I kind of felt, you know, that I had to insist. 00:28:44.09\00:28:48.16 Husband comes out and I say same thing. 00:28:48.19\00:28:51.13 "We're talking about health, I need to talk to you briefly. 00:28:51.16\00:28:53.50 I know you're watching the game, 00:28:53.60\00:28:54.93 but I say, 00:28:54.96\00:28:56.97 "Just tell me what do you think it's more important, 00:28:57.00\00:28:59.57 your health and your family's health 00:28:59.60\00:29:01.60 or a soccer game?" 00:29:01.64\00:29:02.97 And that's kind of a big thing to say. 00:29:03.00\00:29:04.94 I don't usually say that 00:29:04.97\00:29:06.31 but I was impressed to say that in that time. 00:29:06.34\00:29:08.58 And he says, "You're right. 00:29:08.61\00:29:11.88 You're right." He says, "Come in." 00:29:11.91\00:29:13.62 And I'm going in, 00:29:13.72\00:29:15.05 he goes right to the TV, turns it off. 00:29:15.08\00:29:17.39 And the room was full of people sitting there 00:29:17.42\00:29:20.16 and he turns to them and he says, 00:29:20.19\00:29:21.56 "Okay, now we'll listen about health." 00:29:21.59\00:29:23.93 And they all, like, look at each other, 00:29:24.03\00:29:25.96 and one by one, they all left the room. 00:29:25.99\00:29:28.40 You walked right into the lion's den. 00:29:28.43\00:29:29.76 Yeah. 00:29:29.80\00:29:31.13 It was... 00:29:31.17\00:29:32.50 It was serious, especially this was in America? 00:29:32.53\00:29:33.94 Yeah. Okay. 00:29:33.97\00:29:35.30 So that's clear, because American culture 00:29:35.34\00:29:36.81 and they're sports, man, you just don't do that. 00:29:36.84\00:29:38.51 So, the Lord had to have been with you 00:29:38.54\00:29:40.18 going into that lion's den. 00:29:40.28\00:29:41.61 It was amazing. 00:29:41.64\00:29:42.98 And then, finally, I was left 00:29:43.01\00:29:45.25 only with the husband and the wife, 00:29:45.28\00:29:48.02 both of them, they're sitting, 00:29:48.05\00:29:49.38 we talked about half an hour about physical health. 00:29:49.42\00:29:51.89 And he told me that, just a month or so ago, 00:29:51.92\00:29:54.69 he had a stroke. 00:29:54.72\00:29:56.12 And he was recovering from that. 00:29:56.16\00:29:57.86 So, that's why the interest, 00:29:57.89\00:29:59.23 he understood and he said, "Yeah, yes, 00:29:59.26\00:30:01.20 we want to know about that." 00:30:01.23\00:30:02.56 But then when I took the Bible out, 00:30:02.60\00:30:04.37 and I said, you know, 00:30:04.40\00:30:05.73 "This is about spiritual health." 00:30:05.77\00:30:07.14 He said, 00:30:07.17\00:30:08.50 "But really what we really need is this." 00:30:08.54\00:30:10.11 And he embraced that Bible, and he held it there. 00:30:10.21\00:30:13.68 And we talked for another hour and a half 00:30:13.71\00:30:15.14 about spiritual things. 00:30:15.18\00:30:16.95 Anyway, to make it short, 00:30:16.98\00:30:19.21 for maybe a year and two months, 00:30:19.25\00:30:21.98 they were coming every Sabbath to our home 00:30:22.02\00:30:24.19 to have lunch with us. 00:30:24.22\00:30:25.99 And then one day, he came and he said, 00:30:26.02\00:30:29.86 "I want to get married. Would you marry us?" 00:30:29.89\00:30:32.79 And it was, I think we have a picture 00:30:32.83\00:30:34.73 there somewhere... 00:30:34.76\00:30:36.10 Yeah, let's look at the picture. 00:30:36.13\00:30:37.47 I don't know if it's available. 00:30:37.57\00:30:39.17 Yeah, that's Neelo and Olga, 00:30:39.20\00:30:42.44 that's in Weimar church. 00:30:42.47\00:30:44.57 And I got the privilege of marrying them. 00:30:44.61\00:30:46.88 And then I think the next picture 00:30:46.98\00:30:48.34 is about the family. 00:30:48.38\00:30:49.71 That's their entire family there. 00:30:49.74\00:30:51.08 Wow, praise the Lord. 00:30:51.11\00:30:52.45 So that entire family, they got married in the church. 00:30:52.48\00:30:55.95 They were so happy. 00:30:55.98\00:30:57.39 The Weimar Church organized the entire wedding for them. 00:30:57.42\00:31:00.96 It was so amazing. They were amazed. 00:31:00.99\00:31:03.26 They had family come in and everything, and they said, 00:31:03.29\00:31:05.36 "We've never seen a wedding like that." 00:31:05.39\00:31:07.40 And then few weeks later, they say, 00:31:07.50\00:31:10.57 "We want to get baptized as well." 00:31:10.67\00:31:12.33 And I think we have a picture of that as well. 00:31:12.37\00:31:14.64 Oh, praise the Lord. 00:31:14.67\00:31:16.00 And so three of them got baptized, 00:31:16.04\00:31:18.37 the rest of the family are still waiting 00:31:18.41\00:31:19.87 because they're a little too young. 00:31:19.91\00:31:22.04 But Pastor Don Macintosh is baptizing all of them. 00:31:22.08\00:31:25.91 And that's after the baptism. 00:31:25.95\00:31:27.32 Wow. 00:31:27.35\00:31:28.78 This is what canvassing or colporteuring is all about, 00:31:28.82\00:31:31.39 you know. 00:31:31.42\00:31:32.75 You go into homes that... 00:31:32.79\00:31:34.16 You don't know what you will, whom you'll meet there. 00:31:34.19\00:31:37.63 And then you see, 00:31:37.66\00:31:38.99 and now this family is the closest family 00:31:39.03\00:31:41.80 that we have here in US to us. 00:31:41.83\00:31:44.70 When our third child was born, 00:31:44.73\00:31:47.24 we didn't have anyone, you know, 00:31:47.27\00:31:48.60 to take care of the rest of the kids. 00:31:48.64\00:31:50.31 They came, they left their work, 00:31:50.34\00:31:52.04 they came and they stayed with our kids for three days. 00:31:52.07\00:31:56.38 I was with my wife in the hospital 00:31:56.41\00:31:57.95 and they were... 00:31:57.98\00:31:59.31 So, they became like our family. 00:31:59.35\00:32:01.12 They came now, this New Year's, 00:32:01.15\00:32:02.88 they spent with us because we moved, 00:32:02.92\00:32:04.55 we're now in Central California 00:32:04.59\00:32:05.92 and they moved there and we moved there 00:32:05.95\00:32:07.66 and they came to spend the New Years with us 00:32:07.69\00:32:09.59 and we did some witnessing together. 00:32:09.62\00:32:11.23 So, it's amazing, 00:32:11.26\00:32:12.69 this is what canvassing is all about. 00:32:12.73\00:32:14.30 Absolutely. 00:32:14.33\00:32:15.66 You know, just hearing you talk about this 00:32:15.70\00:32:17.80 just gets me stirred up, 00:32:17.83\00:32:19.77 you know, because we don't realize 00:32:19.80\00:32:22.04 just how important it is for us 00:32:22.07\00:32:24.84 to take the aspect of witnessing 00:32:24.87\00:32:27.08 and sharing the gospel, very seriously. 00:32:27.18\00:32:29.88 I love the name of it, GLOW 00:32:29.91\00:32:32.81 because what goes to my mind, I can't speak for everyone, 00:32:32.85\00:32:35.95 but what comes to my mind is the sanctuary 00:32:35.98\00:32:38.65 because in the holy place, 00:32:38.69\00:32:40.16 the only light source in the holy place 00:32:40.19\00:32:42.36 was the seven-branch candlestick 00:32:42.39\00:32:44.49 and it was only because they were able 00:32:44.53\00:32:46.49 to keep that oil refilled 00:32:46.53\00:32:49.00 that the fire constantly and continually burned. 00:32:49.03\00:32:52.17 And I think of Acts 1:8, it says, 00:32:52.20\00:32:55.10 "And you shall receive power 00:32:55.14\00:32:56.60 when you receive the Holy Spirit, 00:32:56.71\00:32:58.04 you shall receive power to be a witness unto me 00:32:58.07\00:33:00.58 unto all the parts of the earth." 00:33:00.61\00:33:02.28 And so, you know, GLOW Ministry, 00:33:02.31\00:33:04.35 just hearing you talk about this, 00:33:04.38\00:33:05.85 if you had not went into that home 00:33:05.88\00:33:07.75 and been brave enough to say, 00:33:07.78\00:33:09.12 "Okay, Lord, I'm going to go back 00:33:09.15\00:33:10.49 and knock on this door," 00:33:10.59\00:33:11.92 these people are watching their game, right? 00:33:11.95\00:33:13.29 And in America, you just don't do that. 00:33:13.32\00:33:14.66 If you're watching football or soccer or whatever it is, 00:33:14.69\00:33:17.53 you just don't do that. 00:33:17.63\00:33:18.96 But the Lord impressed you to do that. 00:33:18.99\00:33:20.33 And because of this, 00:33:20.40\00:33:21.73 now, you see the fruit of your labor. 00:33:21.76\00:33:23.37 This is what the gospel is all about, right? 00:33:23.40\00:33:24.97 Incredibly. 00:33:25.00\00:33:26.33 You know, I also was... 00:33:26.37\00:33:27.70 You made me think of something that I think needs to be said. 00:33:27.74\00:33:30.61 Sure. 00:33:30.64\00:33:31.97 You know, 00:33:32.01\00:33:33.34 when the Adventist Church was first growing, 00:33:33.38\00:33:36.85 as I mentioned a little bit earlier, 00:33:36.88\00:33:38.21 one of the reasons why it was able to grow 00:33:38.25\00:33:40.02 was because the church was able to send out people 00:33:40.12\00:33:43.02 who were colporteurs to do missionary work. 00:33:43.05\00:33:45.55 See, one of the unique aspects about colporteuring 00:33:45.59\00:33:48.49 which makes it set apart 00:33:48.52\00:33:50.03 from a lot of different ministries 00:33:50.06\00:33:51.63 is that you actually are getting paid 00:33:51.66\00:33:54.46 by the people that you minister to 00:33:54.50\00:33:55.83 for ministering to them in some ways, and oftentimes. 00:33:55.86\00:33:58.17 So when a church doesn't have a lot of money 00:33:58.20\00:34:00.44 to send out full-time, 00:34:00.54\00:34:01.87 you know, paid missionaries, 00:34:01.90\00:34:03.24 you know, salaried missionaries or whatever, 00:34:03.27\00:34:05.14 they could send out a colporteurs to a country, 00:34:05.17\00:34:08.64 which they did repeatedly. 00:34:08.68\00:34:10.45 And the colporteur would just need some books, 00:34:10.48\00:34:12.51 and they would get there, 00:34:12.55\00:34:13.92 and they would be able to be self-sustaining 00:34:13.95\00:34:15.28 to a certain extent or completely, 00:34:15.32\00:34:17.95 while they're actually ministering to people. 00:34:17.99\00:34:19.39 And as we saw just from the story 00:34:19.42\00:34:20.96 that Oleg shared, 00:34:20.99\00:34:22.32 you know, when you go into people's homes, 00:34:22.36\00:34:24.83 you're sitting down with them in their seats, 00:34:24.86\00:34:27.40 right in their living rooms, 00:34:27.43\00:34:28.90 you're maybe even sharing a meal with them, 00:34:28.93\00:34:30.37 you're taking and you're having a personal touch, 00:34:30.47\00:34:32.70 you're going to them, 00:34:32.73\00:34:34.14 not waiting for them to come to you. 00:34:34.17\00:34:35.50 When you go and knock on their doors, 00:34:35.54\00:34:37.91 you have an opportunity there to bring people 00:34:37.94\00:34:40.78 to make spiritual decisions, 00:34:40.81\00:34:42.38 and to be a centerpiece to connect them 00:34:42.41\00:34:44.95 with a new congregation that you're building 00:34:44.98\00:34:47.12 or maybe an existing congregation. 00:34:47.15\00:34:49.08 So, this is one of the reasons this strength, 00:34:49.12\00:34:52.22 this characteristic of colporteuring 00:34:52.25\00:34:54.06 in that it's something where the missionary 00:34:54.09\00:34:55.96 actually gets paid by doing their ministry 00:34:55.99\00:34:57.79 from the public, 00:34:57.83\00:34:59.36 that characteristic made it 00:34:59.39\00:35:00.80 so that it was very valuable to the church 00:35:00.83\00:35:03.03 as it was beginning. 00:35:03.06\00:35:04.40 But, you know, 00:35:04.43\00:35:05.77 we could still view ourselves as a beginning church. 00:35:05.80\00:35:07.44 I mean, we have great facilities, 00:35:07.47\00:35:08.80 and we've grown a lot and, what, 00:35:08.84\00:35:10.21 20, 22 million members 00:35:10.24\00:35:11.64 but that's a drop in the bucket compared to 7 billion people. 00:35:11.67\00:35:13.88 Oh, that's the truth. 00:35:13.91\00:35:15.24 So, there's still a great need, 00:35:15.28\00:35:17.25 a great need for us to train and activate 00:35:17.35\00:35:22.72 called and consecrated members 00:35:22.75\00:35:26.09 to go out into the neighborhoods 00:35:26.12\00:35:28.16 and to be the middlemen, 00:35:28.19\00:35:29.52 to be the connecting piece 00:35:29.56\00:35:30.93 between the community and the local church. 00:35:30.96\00:35:32.33 We should have colporteurs. 00:35:32.36\00:35:33.70 In fact, Mrs. White put it this way. 00:35:33.80\00:35:35.13 She says that God wants evangelistic canvassers 00:35:35.16\00:35:37.60 in every church, 00:35:37.63\00:35:38.97 canvassers is plural. 00:35:39.00\00:35:40.54 Can you imagine every church, 00:35:40.57\00:35:41.90 every church having at least two consecrated canvassers? 00:35:41.94\00:35:44.21 Let me tell you, 00:35:44.24\00:35:45.57 you'd have a presence in that community. 00:35:45.61\00:35:47.08 And if the church is offering, 00:35:47.11\00:35:48.51 you know, follow-up health programs, 00:35:48.54\00:35:53.01 various, you know, things for the community, 00:35:53.05\00:35:54.82 then the colporteur can be out there 00:35:54.85\00:35:56.18 connecting people constantly, year around to these services, 00:35:56.22\00:35:59.52 and it's just a win-win. 00:35:59.55\00:36:01.02 Yeah, absolutely. 00:36:01.06\00:36:02.39 You know, I'm thinking of as you were telling me 00:36:02.42\00:36:03.83 that, you know, as Mrs. White puts it Christ method alone. 00:36:03.86\00:36:06.03 Yep, that's right. 00:36:06.06\00:36:07.40 You know, He mingled with them. 00:36:07.50\00:36:10.37 He went to them, He ministered to their needs, 00:36:10.40\00:36:12.70 and He won their confidence. 00:36:12.73\00:36:14.24 And that's essentially what we're doing. 00:36:14.27\00:36:15.67 And I also just want to speak for a moment 00:36:15.70\00:36:17.11 because there may be someone watching right now 00:36:17.14\00:36:18.47 that says, "Well, you know, I'm not a good speaker. 00:36:18.51\00:36:21.61 I'm not a good talker. 00:36:21.64\00:36:22.98 I'm certainly not going to walk the streets." 00:36:23.01\00:36:24.61 Well, you may have that mentality, but you know, 00:36:24.65\00:36:27.52 you never know that door you're gonna knock on 00:36:27.55\00:36:29.82 could be someone that, you know, you get to heaven. 00:36:29.85\00:36:32.29 And the Lord says, 00:36:32.32\00:36:33.66 "Oh, see that large group of people over there. 00:36:33.76\00:36:36.06 They're all there 00:36:36.09\00:36:37.43 because you chose to knock on that door 00:36:37.53\00:36:38.86 and you chose to go and place these resources 00:36:38.89\00:36:41.03 into their hands." 00:36:41.06\00:36:42.40 And it's powerful to think about 00:36:42.43\00:36:43.77 because, you know, 00:36:43.87\00:36:45.20 it's not like you're giving a Bible study 00:36:45.23\00:36:46.57 or it's not like Bible work necessarily in the sense, 00:36:46.60\00:36:48.20 you're not going in 00:36:48.24\00:36:49.57 to give an in-depth Bible study, 00:36:49.60\00:36:50.94 but you're putting the resources into their hands, 00:36:50.97\00:36:52.81 guided resources that can help teach them, 00:36:52.84\00:36:55.94 you know, the message, the truth, 00:36:55.98\00:36:57.45 the gospel of Jesus Christ, 00:36:57.48\00:36:58.81 which brings me to my next question. 00:36:58.85\00:37:00.52 If someone were interested in this, 00:37:00.55\00:37:02.92 someone wanted to participate in this ministry 00:37:02.95\00:37:05.29 and in this work, 00:37:05.32\00:37:06.65 what is it actually that they're, 00:37:06.76\00:37:08.09 you know, if somebody is going to, 00:37:08.12\00:37:09.92 taking these books door to door, 00:37:10.03\00:37:11.49 what is it that they're selling? 00:37:11.53\00:37:12.93 Or what is it that someone's going to receive 00:37:12.96\00:37:15.06 when you go knock on the door? 00:37:15.10\00:37:17.17 You know, I wanted to just mention 00:37:17.20\00:37:19.83 as I get into that answer. 00:37:19.87\00:37:22.44 You know, Bible workers go into the home 00:37:22.47\00:37:25.24 and they give Bible studies. 00:37:25.27\00:37:26.88 But when a colporteur goes into the home, 00:37:26.98\00:37:30.15 oftentimes you're spending about 45 minutes 00:37:30.18\00:37:32.05 to upwards of 2 hours with that family. 00:37:32.08\00:37:34.92 And when the colporteur goes into the home, 00:37:34.95\00:37:37.49 they're actually saying a certain, 00:37:37.59\00:37:39.69 what we call a canvas, 00:37:39.72\00:37:41.09 which is for the most part, a script 00:37:41.12\00:37:44.13 so that they're able to explain what the books are. 00:37:44.16\00:37:46.06 But when we go into the homes, 00:37:46.09\00:37:47.60 you're going through books like "Desire of Ages" 00:37:47.63\00:37:50.07 about Jesus' life, 00:37:50.17\00:37:51.50 you're going through books like "Great Controversy." 00:37:51.53\00:37:53.34 There are certain segments 00:37:53.37\00:37:54.70 where you're literally explaining to people 00:37:54.74\00:37:56.37 the origin of sin in your canvas, 00:37:56.40\00:37:58.41 you're explaining to them how Jesus, 00:37:58.44\00:37:59.84 what He did for us in the Garden of Gethsemane 00:37:59.87\00:38:02.04 and how there were great drops of blood. 00:38:02.08\00:38:03.75 So, they're incredibly deep and spiritual moments 00:38:03.85\00:38:07.75 as you go through that canvas. 00:38:07.78\00:38:09.45 You're essentially giving a mini Bible study 00:38:09.48\00:38:11.15 to these people and helping them 00:38:11.19\00:38:12.52 go through an overview of the Bible 00:38:12.55\00:38:14.62 and the Great Controversy theme 00:38:14.66\00:38:16.59 when you give a canvas inside of a home. 00:38:16.62\00:38:18.03 So, it's a deeply spiritual work. 00:38:18.06\00:38:22.10 But you asked the question, what do we sell at the doors? 00:38:22.13\00:38:24.67 I think that... 00:38:24.70\00:38:27.24 Oleg, you probably can say some things about this, 00:38:27.34\00:38:29.40 but I wanted to mention 00:38:29.44\00:38:30.94 that we kind of do a combination 00:38:30.97\00:38:32.57 of religious books and spiritual books. 00:38:32.61\00:38:34.38 All right. 00:38:34.41\00:38:35.74 We see from Mrs. White's writings 00:38:35.78\00:38:37.25 that it's important 00:38:37.28\00:38:38.61 that we treat those equally at the door. 00:38:38.65\00:38:41.45 Because what health books do, religious books... 00:38:41.48\00:38:44.09 Did I say religious and spiritual? 00:38:44.19\00:38:45.52 I meant religious and health. Okay. 00:38:45.55\00:38:46.89 Yeah. Right. 00:38:46.92\00:38:48.26 So, health books, everybody has health. 00:38:48.29\00:38:50.63 Either good health or bad health, right? 00:38:50.66\00:38:52.39 So, when you have health books 00:38:52.43\00:38:54.73 and you use that as your initial approach 00:38:54.76\00:38:56.30 in reaching people, 00:38:56.33\00:38:58.47 that opens up a lot of doors, 00:38:58.50\00:39:00.74 which wouldn't be open 00:39:00.84\00:39:02.17 if you only were using religious books. 00:39:02.20\00:39:04.01 And Ms. White calls it the right arm of the gospel. 00:39:04.04\00:39:05.71 Or the entering wedge, right. Right. 00:39:05.74\00:39:07.18 So, so having health books 00:39:07.28\00:39:09.74 is absolutely essential for multiple reasons, 00:39:09.78\00:39:12.68 one of which is your initial approach 00:39:12.71\00:39:14.22 when you're talking to people. 00:39:14.32\00:39:15.72 But we also are interested in people's spiritual health 00:39:15.75\00:39:17.85 and so we need to treat those equally. 00:39:17.89\00:39:20.16 So, what we do is we carry religious and spiritual, 00:39:20.19\00:39:24.03 I'm sorry, religious and health books 00:39:24.06\00:39:26.33 when we go to the doors, 00:39:26.36\00:39:27.70 and they both play a very vital role. 00:39:27.73\00:39:29.43 Now, in different parts of the church, 00:39:29.46\00:39:32.97 colporteuring is in a weakened state 00:39:33.00\00:39:35.94 or it's in a very strong state. 00:39:35.97\00:39:37.77 And one of the factors that we've come to see 00:39:37.81\00:39:41.28 that is making it too weak in some areas 00:39:41.31\00:39:44.25 is a lack of the health publications. 00:39:44.28\00:39:47.92 So we have recently moved 00:39:47.95\00:39:50.39 into the process of developing a health set. 00:39:50.49\00:39:55.32 And let me tell you, this is a huge undertaking. 00:39:55.36\00:39:57.23 And these are new health books? 00:39:57.26\00:39:58.79 Right. Okay. 00:39:58.83\00:40:00.20 So, this is new addition to what you already had. 00:40:00.23\00:40:02.56 Okay. Yes, yes. 00:40:02.60\00:40:03.97 So right now, we've noticed that there's a big lack of... 00:40:04.00\00:40:07.84 Well, I shouldn't say there's a lack. 00:40:07.87\00:40:09.20 There's good health materials 00:40:09.24\00:40:10.61 that our colporteurs are using in various parts of the world. 00:40:10.64\00:40:12.57 But I think that we believe that we can take it 00:40:12.61\00:40:14.44 even a notch higher 00:40:14.48\00:40:15.88 and provide more comprehensive information 00:40:15.91\00:40:19.48 from some of the top names in the world actually, 00:40:19.51\00:40:22.42 when it comes to overcoming some of these diseases 00:40:22.45\00:40:26.76 that people are dealing with, like, diabetes, 00:40:26.79\00:40:28.92 coronary artery disease, you know, hypertension. 00:40:28.96\00:40:32.09 So, what we've been doing 00:40:32.13\00:40:34.20 is actually spearheading forward. 00:40:34.23\00:40:36.77 We've been spearheading this set of new books. 00:40:36.80\00:40:39.57 And what it'll be is basically seven volumes set 00:40:39.60\00:40:43.51 and it'll be addressing 00:40:43.61\00:40:46.01 most of the major preventable or reversible diseases 00:40:46.04\00:40:50.15 that people are having in the homes. 00:40:50.25\00:40:52.91 And let me tell you, when you go to the house, 00:40:52.95\00:40:55.35 I mean, 95% of the house, 00:40:55.38\00:40:57.65 unless you knock on the door 00:40:57.69\00:40:59.02 and, like, some young person comes out 00:40:59.05\00:41:00.46 who's just like an athlete in a college or something, 00:41:00.49\00:41:02.82 inevitably you're gonna find a person 00:41:02.86\00:41:04.23 there who's going to have one of these issues 00:41:04.26\00:41:06.36 that's in this set, right? 00:41:06.39\00:41:08.03 And so, we're in the process of developing this set of books 00:41:08.06\00:41:12.37 right now and we have contacted... 00:41:12.40\00:41:13.94 And, Oleg, you're gonna have to help me out with this. 00:41:13.97\00:41:16.17 But we've contacted some of the premier names 00:41:16.20\00:41:18.27 in the Adventist Church 00:41:18.31\00:41:19.94 and also outside of the Adventist Church 00:41:19.97\00:41:22.38 in terms of doctors who are into writing 00:41:22.41\00:41:26.28 and about these various diseases. 00:41:26.31\00:41:28.58 One of them is Dr. Campbell, Dr. T. Colin Campbell. 00:41:28.62\00:41:32.39 T. Colin Campbell, "Forks Over Knifes". 00:41:32.42\00:41:33.96 Yeah, there you go. 00:41:33.99\00:41:35.32 We actually... 00:41:35.36\00:41:36.73 He wrote "The China Study", 00:41:36.76\00:41:38.09 which is one of the greatest, 00:41:38.13\00:41:39.46 most sophisticated works in the medical industry. 00:41:39.49\00:41:41.46 Yes. 00:41:41.50\00:41:42.83 In fact, day before yesterday, 00:41:42.86\00:41:44.73 Oleg and I were in New York 00:41:44.77\00:41:46.10 and we were in Dr. T. Colin Campbell's office 00:41:46.13\00:41:48.67 and we had a meeting with him, then we had lunch. 00:41:48.70\00:41:51.01 And by the end of the meeting, God just totally blessed. 00:41:51.04\00:41:54.68 We made a great connection, 00:41:54.71\00:41:56.18 and he gave us full permission to use his writings 00:41:56.21\00:42:00.02 in this set of books. 00:42:00.05\00:42:01.58 We've also contacted some other doctors, 00:42:01.62\00:42:04.69 Dr. Neil Nedley, 00:42:04.72\00:42:06.32 he's going to be working with us. 00:42:06.35\00:42:07.69 Dr. Hans Diehl is going to be working with us, 00:42:07.72\00:42:10.23 particularly to help us with molding the whole set 00:42:10.26\00:42:13.60 as it comes together but creating the last volume, 00:42:13.70\00:42:16.33 which will be about mental health 00:42:16.36\00:42:17.70 and spiritual health. 00:42:17.73\00:42:19.27 So, even in the seven sets for health, 00:42:19.30\00:42:22.20 we'll get into the spiritual aspect. 00:42:22.24\00:42:24.21 We've contacted Dr. Esselstyn... 00:42:24.31\00:42:26.44 Michael Greger. Okay. 00:44:24.26\00:44:25.59 So is this something... 00:44:25.63\00:44:27.70 If somebody is engaged in this particular, 00:44:27.73\00:44:30.97 they sign up for it, 00:44:31.00\00:44:32.33 they want to become a part of it, 00:44:32.37\00:44:33.74 will they learn practical ways 00:44:33.77\00:44:35.54 on how they can become a better colporteur? 00:44:35.57\00:44:39.37 Yes, that's the idea. 00:44:39.41\00:44:40.98 Because, you know, it's nice to read it in a book. 00:44:41.01\00:44:43.55 It's nice to hear the testimonies, 00:44:43.58\00:44:45.25 but the best thing is to go out there 00:44:45.28\00:44:47.22 and experience it yourself. 00:44:47.25\00:44:48.88 So, we're planning a ten-week program 00:44:48.92\00:44:52.25 for infield training. 00:44:52.29\00:44:54.52 And that's interesting because right now, 00:44:54.56\00:44:56.06 we have people from all around 00:44:56.09\00:44:58.29 the United States contacting us, 00:44:58.33\00:45:00.20 and asking, saying, 00:45:00.23\00:45:01.93 "Is there any chance to have it sooner? 00:45:01.96\00:45:04.53 Can we go now?" 00:45:04.57\00:45:06.23 And there is a process, 00:45:06.27\00:45:07.64 we're still working on that process 00:45:07.67\00:45:09.00 on making everything happen in a legal way, 00:45:09.04\00:45:11.31 in a proper way in California. 00:45:11.34\00:45:13.21 That's a challenge in itself, but God is opening doors 00:45:13.24\00:45:17.25 and we're walking through them. 00:45:17.28\00:45:19.38 And we're planning in September, 2020, 00:45:19.41\00:45:21.62 this year to have a 10-week infield training in California, 00:45:21.65\00:45:27.16 where people... 00:45:27.19\00:45:28.79 Yesterday, we were driving 00:45:28.82\00:45:30.23 and someone called us from Texas, 00:45:30.26\00:45:31.73 saying, "I'm ready to go. 00:45:31.76\00:45:33.50 I want to go there to get trained 00:45:33.53\00:45:35.10 and come back to Texas 00:45:35.13\00:45:36.46 and revive the adult canvassing in Texas." 00:45:36.50\00:45:40.34 Nelson and I, when we had a lot... 00:45:40.37\00:45:42.54 We spent a lot of time together now this week, 00:45:42.57\00:45:44.61 especially flying and driving together. 00:45:44.64\00:45:47.64 Oh, when we start dreaming about this 00:45:47.68\00:45:49.74 and praying about this, we get so enthused, 00:45:49.78\00:45:52.61 and then we receive a call like that. 00:45:52.65\00:45:54.32 We say, God is just working in amazing way. 00:45:54.35\00:45:57.29 Bring the people... 00:45:57.32\00:45:58.65 The other day, somebody from Washington 00:45:58.69\00:46:00.96 contacted me and saying, 00:46:00.99\00:46:02.36 "God just been pounding this into my head 00:46:02.39\00:46:04.93 the past few months." 00:46:04.96\00:46:06.29 And then they say, "We went on YouTube 00:46:06.33\00:46:08.76 and we found some of your videos, guys." 00:46:08.80\00:46:10.97 Nelson and I, we put some videos 00:46:11.00\00:46:12.33 there on some training. 00:46:12.37\00:46:14.24 "So that training, God just answered our prayer, 00:46:14.27\00:46:17.51 and my wife and I, we want to go there, 00:46:17.54\00:46:20.28 get trained and come back here 00:46:20.31\00:46:21.78 and enthuse our church with this." 00:46:21.81\00:46:23.75 So, yes, the infield training, 00:46:23.85\00:46:25.75 the online training first, infield training, 00:46:25.78\00:46:28.48 and then we are praying to revive adult canvassing 00:46:28.52\00:46:34.06 not only in the NED, even in the country 00:46:34.16\00:46:36.26 where canvassing is not in being practiced. 00:46:36.29\00:46:38.69 And I just want to tag on to that. 00:46:38.73\00:46:40.10 I think it's really important for people 00:46:40.13\00:46:41.60 who are watching this program that are pastors in particular 00:46:41.63\00:46:44.47 or church leaders. 00:46:44.50\00:46:46.37 We want to speak to churches, 00:46:46.40\00:46:48.44 and we want to tell church leadership 00:46:48.47\00:46:50.41 that this is something that will benefit your church. 00:46:50.44\00:46:53.68 So, yes, we are reaching out to individuals 00:46:53.71\00:46:56.08 and asking them to register if God's calling them 00:46:56.11\00:46:58.55 but we want to speak specifically to churches 00:46:58.58\00:47:00.32 because churches are going to form 00:47:00.35\00:47:01.95 a very important part, a very important link 00:47:01.98\00:47:05.59 in the long-term sustaining 00:47:05.62\00:47:11.99 of that colporteur in that area. 00:47:12.03\00:47:13.80 So, you know, one of the things 00:47:13.83\00:47:15.16 that will keep a colporteur going really strong long-term 00:47:15.20\00:47:19.50 is a sense of community. 00:47:19.53\00:47:20.94 And if a colporteur is not plugged into a church 00:47:20.97\00:47:22.60 that's supportive, then... 00:47:22.64\00:47:25.14 We can train people all we want, 00:47:25.17\00:47:26.68 but we want them to stick around long term. 00:47:26.71\00:47:28.58 So, if churches have people 00:47:28.61\00:47:29.94 that they think would be qualified 00:47:30.05\00:47:31.38 and are called to this, 00:47:31.41\00:47:32.75 then they can send them our way. 00:47:32.78\00:47:34.12 And we can work with the church 00:47:34.15\00:47:35.48 so that from the very beginning, 00:47:35.52\00:47:36.85 the church is part of the equation 00:47:36.89\00:47:38.42 of the training process, 00:47:38.45\00:47:39.82 because we want to link colporteurs with churches, 00:47:39.85\00:47:42.16 and churches with colporteurs, 00:47:42.19\00:47:43.53 and teach them how to support each other 00:47:43.63\00:47:45.13 so that this can be prosecuted long term. 00:47:45.16\00:47:47.60 That's amazing. Praise the Lord. 00:47:47.63\00:47:48.96 I praise God for this type of ministry. 00:47:49.00\00:47:51.97 In fact, I have a friend who just recently graduated 00:47:52.00\00:47:54.97 from the Ouachita Hills College over in Arkansas, 00:47:55.00\00:47:57.74 and they have a very strong colporteuring ministry there. 00:47:57.77\00:48:00.58 And he has told us so many stories, 00:48:00.61\00:48:02.68 because he was actually one of the leaders, 00:48:02.71\00:48:04.15 he worked himself up to be one of the leaders 00:48:04.18\00:48:05.65 who takes these large groups out. 00:48:05.68\00:48:07.32 And sometimes, they'll go to churches. 00:48:07.42\00:48:09.48 And I mean, these guys are so committed 00:48:09.52\00:48:12.12 they literally bring, like, their sleeping bags 00:48:12.15\00:48:14.26 and they sleep on the floors of churches, 00:48:14.29\00:48:16.73 hard floors. 00:48:16.83\00:48:18.16 Oh, yeah. Just so committed. 00:48:18.19\00:48:20.20 And then throughout the day, for, you know, 00:48:20.30\00:48:22.50 a couple of weeks at a time at these different locations, 00:48:22.53\00:48:24.97 they're just flooding the streets, 00:48:25.00\00:48:27.34 going out there, going door to door 00:48:27.37\00:48:28.77 with these books. 00:48:28.80\00:48:30.21 And the stories 00:48:30.24\00:48:31.57 that he comes back and tells me, 00:48:31.61\00:48:32.94 it's just like, "Wow," 00:48:32.97\00:48:34.31 you know, all of that from just going to the door 00:48:34.34\00:48:35.68 and saying, "Hey, I have some books 00:48:35.71\00:48:37.05 that I would like to share with you. 00:48:37.08\00:48:38.41 You know, are you interested?" 00:48:38.45\00:48:39.78 And it opens up conversations that opens up ways 00:48:39.81\00:48:41.25 to get the gospel message out there 00:48:41.28\00:48:42.62 and it's just powerful. 00:48:42.65\00:48:43.99 Now, just really quickly, 00:48:44.09\00:48:45.42 you briefly mentioned the books that are, 00:48:45.45\00:48:47.16 that people can have access to or that they will be getting, 00:48:47.19\00:48:49.46 if they were to go out and sell 00:48:49.49\00:48:51.09 or if they were to be someone who received this. 00:48:51.13\00:48:53.70 You mentioned "Desire of Ages" 00:48:53.73\00:48:55.06 there maybe someone who may not know 00:48:55.10\00:48:56.43 what "Desire of Ages" is, 00:48:56.46\00:48:57.80 it's simply Ellen White's commentary 00:48:57.83\00:48:59.37 on the life of Christ. 00:48:59.40\00:49:00.94 And I believe... 00:49:00.97\00:49:02.30 So I've been told that, what is it, the Congress? 00:49:02.34\00:49:06.68 Library of Congress has stated that this is the greatest, 00:49:06.71\00:49:10.05 best work on the life of Christ 00:49:10.15\00:49:11.51 that they've been able to find so far. 00:49:11.55\00:49:13.42 It's listed that way. 00:49:13.45\00:49:14.78 So you get "The Desire of Ages". 00:49:14.82\00:49:16.15 You mentioned "The Great Controversy", 00:49:16.18\00:49:17.52 which has changed so many lives. 00:49:17.55\00:49:19.15 I think it was Ellen White's... 00:49:19.19\00:49:20.56 It was the one book 00:49:20.59\00:49:21.92 that she wanted to push more than any of them, 00:49:21.96\00:49:23.32 said she would like to get in the hands of everyone. 00:49:23.43\00:49:25.33 Is there any more other than those two? 00:49:25.36\00:49:27.40 Well, yeah. 00:49:27.50\00:49:28.83 So for the spiritual books, 00:49:28.86\00:49:30.20 there's children's spiritual books 00:49:30.23\00:49:31.67 which help them understand the Bible. 00:49:31.70\00:49:33.34 And then there's the adult spiritual books 00:49:33.37\00:49:34.90 which help the adults understand the Bible. 00:49:34.94\00:49:36.91 And that's something 00:49:36.94\00:49:38.27 that we call the Bible reference library 00:49:38.31\00:49:39.64 or the conflict series. 00:49:39.67\00:49:41.01 There's different names for it. 00:49:41.04\00:49:42.38 But basically, it's a five or six set of books 00:49:42.41\00:49:46.61 that goes from the very beginning of the Bible 00:49:46.72\00:49:48.32 with a book called "Patriarchs and Prophets", 00:49:48.35\00:49:50.29 all the way through to the last one 00:49:50.39\00:49:51.79 called "The Great Controversy", 00:49:51.82\00:49:53.15 which is more of a commentary on Revelation. 00:49:53.19\00:49:54.86 And then at the end, 00:49:54.89\00:49:56.22 there's typically a question and answer book 00:49:56.26\00:49:58.06 that goes through topically different questions 00:49:58.09\00:50:00.60 that people might have. 00:50:00.63\00:50:01.96 So, you're talking about the "Conflict of the Ages" series, 00:50:02.00\00:50:04.07 that commentary on the Bible 00:50:04.10\00:50:06.43 and then I'm guessing the other two, 00:50:06.47\00:50:08.10 the question and answer, 00:50:08.14\00:50:09.47 is that the "Bible Readings for the Home" 00:50:09.50\00:50:10.91 or similar to it? 00:50:10.94\00:50:12.27 That the name for, yes, one of the versions out there. 00:50:12.31\00:50:14.58 Right. Okay, nice. 00:50:14.61\00:50:15.94 You know, I remember 00:50:15.98\00:50:17.45 you speaking about that actually. 00:50:17.55\00:50:18.98 This was before I became a Seventh-day Adventist. 00:50:19.01\00:50:22.58 I don't even remember how I got it 00:50:22.62\00:50:24.29 but I got that question and answer book. 00:50:24.32\00:50:27.79 And I remember going through and familiarizing myself 00:50:27.82\00:50:30.83 with the truths as taught 00:50:30.86\00:50:32.59 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:50:32.63\00:50:34.00 through this "Bible Readings for the Home", 00:50:34.03\00:50:35.36 it actually turns out to be a set of books, 00:50:35.40\00:50:37.73 like you're talking about, 00:50:37.77\00:50:39.10 that one of my friends who's a colporteur, 00:50:39.13\00:50:40.97 actually would go out and sell door to door. 00:50:41.00\00:50:43.27 And it's just powerful because again, 00:50:43.30\00:50:45.01 people can open these books up 00:50:45.04\00:50:46.37 that have no knowledge of Scripture, 00:50:46.41\00:50:47.78 have no knowledge of Bible themes 00:50:47.81\00:50:50.05 and understanding of any of these things. 00:50:50.08\00:50:51.61 They can read them and see them for themselves 00:50:51.65\00:50:54.32 in question and answer format, 00:50:54.35\00:50:55.68 and it's such a great opportunity for witnessing. 00:50:55.72\00:50:58.62 I just praise God for we actually... 00:50:58.65\00:51:01.06 We're coming down to the end of this program. 00:51:01.09\00:51:04.23 But we actually, 00:51:04.26\00:51:05.59 I want to make an appeal right now. 00:51:05.63\00:51:07.00 You may be asking yourself, 00:51:07.03\00:51:08.36 "You know what, I've heard all of this, 00:51:08.40\00:51:10.07 I'm pricked to the heart, 00:51:10.10\00:51:11.93 I want to join this or I want to support this," 00:51:11.97\00:51:13.94 or you might just simply want more information about it. 00:51:13.97\00:51:17.01 We're actually going to go to a roll really quickly, 00:51:17.04\00:51:20.18 where it's going to have all their information 00:51:20.21\00:51:21.98 on how you can contact GLOW and to get more information, 00:51:22.01\00:51:25.31 maybe even gain access to their tracts 00:51:25.35\00:51:27.22 or any of the material that they have, 00:51:27.25\00:51:28.65 and also how you can become a part 00:51:28.68\00:51:30.79 of this amazing colporteuring ministry 00:51:30.82\00:51:33.36 on getting the gospel to the world. 00:51:33.39\00:51:35.06 I strongly encourage you to do this, my friends. 00:51:35.09\00:51:37.53 Please pay attention, write this information down, 00:51:37.63\00:51:39.53 take it down, go to their website, 00:51:39.56\00:51:41.46 contact them, reach out to them, 00:51:41.50\00:51:43.37 because this is an opportunity 00:51:43.40\00:51:44.73 where the Lord is knocking on the door 00:51:44.77\00:51:46.10 of your heart 00:51:46.13\00:51:47.47 to minister for Him in these last days. 00:51:47.54\00:51:49.57 Here it is. 00:51:49.60\00:51:50.94 Colporteuring has played a vital role 00:51:53.78\00:51:55.44 in the expansion of the gospel. 00:51:55.48\00:51:57.05 And now the new Colporteur Trade Academy online course 00:51:57.08\00:51:59.58 can work with anyone's schedule. 00:51:59.61\00:52:01.42 If you'd like to find out more about GLOW 00:52:01.45\00:52:03.69 or the Colporteur Training Academy, 00:52:03.72\00:52:05.39 just visit their websites, GlowOnline.org 00:52:05.42\00:52:08.86 or ColporteurTradeAcademy.com, 00:52:08.89\00:52:11.99 that's GlowOnline.org or ColporteurTradeAcademy.com. 00:52:12.03\00:52:17.93 You may also call them at (559) 347-3150 00:52:17.97\00:52:23.81 or write to GLOW, 00:52:23.84\00:52:25.61 2820, Willow Avenue, 00:52:25.64\00:52:27.94 Clovis, California, 93612. 00:52:27.98\00:52:31.51
