I want to spend my life 00:00:01.60\00:00:06.80 Mending broken people 00:00:07.40\00:00:12.27 I want to spend my life 00:00:12.34\00:00:17.91 Removing pain 00:00:18.65\00:00:23.18 Lord, let my words 00:00:23.82\00:00:28.76 Heal a heart that hurts 00:00:30.03\00:00:33.96 I want to spend my life 00:00:34.46\00:00:39.37 Mending broken people 00:00:40.30\00:00:44.74 I want to spend my life 00:00:45.67\00:00:50.55 Mending broken people 00:00:51.28\00:00:56.05 - Hello and welcome to another 3ABN Today 00:01:09.76\00:01:12.40 program. We are so glad that you have joined us 00:01:12.50\00:01:15.14 today as you do each and every day of the 00:01:15.24\00:01:17.67 year. We appreciate your prayers and financial 00:01:17.77\00:01:20.18 support for the ministry of 3ABN. And I have 00:01:20.28\00:01:23.81 to say, this is a little bit different. This is 00:01:23.91\00:01:26.31 Roy Hunt next to me. Usually, I have my beautiful 00:01:26.45\00:01:29.02 wife- not saying you're not beautiful or handsome, 00:01:29.12\00:01:31.59 Roy... - What are you saying that...? [laughter] 00:01:31.69\00:01:33.22 - I'm saying I'm so used to having my dear wife 00:01:33.32\00:01:35.29 next to me. This is great, though, having 00:01:35.36\00:01:37.43 you with me today here on the set. You are the 00:01:37.53\00:01:40.00 director of planned giving and trust services 00:01:40.10\00:01:41.80 here at 3ABN. It's a blessing to have you 00:01:41.86\00:01:44.20 co-hosting with me. And I want to introduce, 00:01:44.27\00:01:46.80 also, our guest-but it's really family, right, 00:01:46.87\00:01:49.34 Roy? - Absolutely. - Yeah. And this is Jason Bergmann. 00:01:49.40\00:01:51.91 You're our CFO and in charge of all the finances 00:01:51.97\00:01:54.74 in the faith-based ministry, and it's neat to see how 00:01:54.81\00:01:57.58 God supplies the need of the ministry of 3ABN, 00:01:57.68\00:02:00.25 but it's a blessing to have you and your wife here 00:02:00.32\00:02:02.25 at 3ABN. Roy, I want to mention your wife, 00:02:02.32\00:02:05.05 too, Earlenne. - Yes. - And she is your assistant. 00:02:05.15\00:02:07.92 - She is the trust officer and office manager. She 00:02:07.99\00:02:12.69 keeps me straight. [laughter] You know. The woman 00:02:12.79\00:02:15.90 usually is detailed, and any details I have 00:02:16.03\00:02:19.10 missed, she catches me on it. So, we need that 00:02:19.17\00:02:23.41 in our department. - Yeah, you know, and Jill, 00:02:23.51\00:02:25.07 too; she-my wife-she is so detailed, and it's a 00:02:25.17\00:02:27.38 blessing. That's why, I mean, she's usually 00:02:27.48\00:02:29.74 sitting right next to me and kinda keeps me straight. 00:02:29.84\00:02:31.81 So Roy, you're gonna have to keep me straight 00:02:31.91\00:02:33.25 today. - Oh, that's tough. - Oh, I know. 00:02:33.28\00:02:35.18 Jason, you're gonna have to help us out. [laughter] 00:02:35.28\00:02:37.15 But today, we're really looking at this as kind of 00:02:37.25\00:02:40.06 as a I wanna say maybe a roundtable. We're all- 00:02:40.16\00:02:41.92 you're not really a guest; we're just 00:02:42.02\00:02:43.36 here as family, discussing planned giving and trust 00:02:43.39\00:02:45.76 stewardship, the joy of giving... And I think 00:02:45.83\00:02:49.83 today-'cause I'm kinda the newbie in this; these 00:02:49.93\00:02:52.50 guys are the professionals- and for me, I'm gonna 00:02:52.57\00:02:55.37 be asking some of the questions that maybe 00:02:55.44\00:02:56.81 you might have at home: "What is planned giving & 00:02:56.87\00:02:59.87 trust services?" Roy, why is it important? 00:02:59.94\00:03:03.04 - You know, it's appropriate to say "family", that we're 00:03:03.14\00:03:06.45 family here at 3ABN because so much of what 00:03:06.55\00:03:09.55 we talk about is family- oriented. The importance 00:03:09.62\00:03:12.89 of doing... What is planned giving? Our department 00:03:13.02\00:03:17.49 handles the wills, the trust, and that's something 00:03:17.59\00:03:23.26 that everybody should have. - That's true. 00:03:23.37\00:03:25.73 - Even you, Greg. - Yes. - You're a young person. 00:03:25.80\00:03:28.70 - I'm in my 40s. Yeah, you think, "Oh, I'm 00:03:28.80\00:03:30.77 invincible." - That's right. Invincible' s a 00:03:30.91\00:03:32.91 good word, because so ma-especially us males. 00:03:32.97\00:03:36.44 - That's right. - This program is kinda geared 00:03:36.58\00:03:38.51 toward the male side of the family. We think 00:03:38.61\00:03:42.18 we're invincible, nothing's gonna happen to us... 00:03:42.28\00:03:44.65 - Kinda the macho type thing. - The macho. And 00:03:44.79\00:03:47.22 when they hear the word, "will" or "trust"-when 00:03:47.36\00:03:50.83 we hear that-they think, "Ah, we don't need it." 00:03:50.89\00:03:53.53 And if I do, one of the biggest myths in planned 00:03:53.63\00:03:56.43 giving is, "I'm gonna die as quick as I do the 00:03:56.53\00:04:00.34 document." And that's not true! - And I think 00:04:00.40\00:04:03.37 sometimes, people are afraid to even talk about 00:04:03.47\00:04:05.24 the reality of life, and that is that what 00:04:05.34\00:04:07.78 happens when I die. Those are some hard 00:04:07.88\00:04:09.88 questions to ask ourselves. And you know, I appreciate 00:04:09.94\00:04:13.25 you mention even someone- I consider myself a 00:04:13.35\00:04:15.82 young person. I'm not saying you guys are 00:04:15.92\00:04:17.92 old persons, but...we all have to face the 00:04:18.02\00:04:20.96 reality of life. - That's #2 today. - #2 today?! [laughter] 00:04:21.09\00:04:25.96 So, we don't know about tomorrow. What we do 00:04:26.06\00:04:29.43 know is that we have today. And we also 00:04:29.56\00:04:31.43 wanted to say a thank-you to you, our family, our 00:04:31.53\00:04:34.60 friends... And that is for those of you that 00:04:34.70\00:04:37.51 have written documents with 3ABN. That is blessing 00:04:37.61\00:04:40.34 the ministry of 3ABN. You know, for those 00:04:40.44\00:04:43.38 that have written them in the past, and, you 00:04:43.48\00:04:45.78 know, they've gone to rest in Jesus-you know, 00:04:45.88\00:04:48.05 those funds-have come to continue the work 00:04:48.15\00:04:50.89 here at 3ABN... And I like this scripture; 00:04:51.02\00:04:53.36 I wrote it down here- Revelation 14:13- 00:04:54.46\00:04:57.46 and it talks about, basically, people going 00:04:57.56\00:05:00.46 to rest in Jesus. But then it says, "And their 00:05:00.56\00:05:03.10 works do follow them." And I think that's a 00:05:03.20\00:05:06.74 beautiful thing, because you can be asleep in 00:05:06.87\00:05:09.47 Jesus-you don't know what's happening, you're 00:05:09.57\00:05:11.34 waiting for His soon return-but then whatever 00:05:11.44\00:05:14.81 you have put in planned giving & trust services, 00:05:14.91\00:05:17.41 Roy, is furthering the gospel. - That's right. 00:05:17.51\00:05:20.28 - To think here at 3ABN, Jason, you see the bills 00:05:20.35\00:05:22.48 that come in, you see the donations that come 00:05:22.58\00:05:25.69 in, but then you see the documents that 00:05:25.75\00:05:27.52 have matured coming in and how it helps the 00:05:27.62\00:05:29.29 ministry. - You know, what I also like, too, 00:05:29.39\00:05:31.39 about what we do is we provide some tools for 00:05:31.53\00:05:34.83 people to plan while they're alive. And that's 00:05:34.93\00:05:38.30 awesome, because you know either you plan 00:05:38.40\00:05:40.77 for it, or the IRS will plan for it after you 00:05:40.90\00:05:43.81 die. - Or the state. - Or the state, so- 00:05:43.91\00:05:46.34 and mainly the state. But I'd rather have 00:05:46.41\00:05:49.64 myself plan how my legacy's gonna take 00:05:49.74\00:05:54.52 these funds that the Lord has blessed... 00:05:54.62\00:05:57.09 - That's a good point. - ...onto the next 00:05:57.19\00:05:59.05 generation. - Mhm. - Or the ministries, you know. 00:05:59.15\00:06:02.09 You know, we are stewards for the Lord, and I 00:06:02.16\00:06:05.19 think we're a steward of time and what we have 00:06:05.29\00:06:09.46 for the future, as well. - Mm, that's good. 00:06:09.60\00:06:12.60 - I've heard many people say-they make a statement- 00:06:12.67\00:06:17.37 they say, "Why should I plan? I'm gonna be dead. 00:06:17.47\00:06:20.78 I don't care what happens to my estate." And if you 00:06:22.54\00:06:25.48 have a family, family is always a major portion 00:06:25.58\00:06:29.35 of your estate planning. - That's good. - And to 00:06:29.45\00:06:31.95 have the family in your plan to receive part of 00:06:32.15\00:06:38.06 your estate is something very special to your 00:06:38.16\00:06:41.43 family. - Yeah. And I appreciate that. I think 00:06:41.53\00:06:44.03 family is important, and you kind of have 00:06:44.13\00:06:45.47 that as one of your mottos - a well-planned 00:06:45.50\00:06:46.84 estate, your best gift to God and family...and 00:06:46.87\00:06:50.11 that's really good. - Absolutely. So, if 00:06:50.21\00:06:52.14 you don't plan, the state usually enters 00:06:52.24\00:06:57.01 into it, the judge enters into it...and he makes 00:06:57.11\00:07:01.08 the decisions. - Yeah. - And you have that 00:07:01.22\00:07:03.95 choice during life that you can make decisions. 00:07:04.05\00:07:06.55 - So this is a good opportunity now, 00:07:06.62\00:07:08.12 while we're alive, while our mind is, you know, 00:07:08.22\00:07:11.59 in a good state to start making decisions that 00:07:11.69\00:07:14.76 will benefit those organizations like 00:07:14.86\00:07:17.93 3ABN that you may be interested in, those 00:07:18.03\00:07:21.30 ministries that will grow the kingdom of 00:07:21.40\00:07:24.64 God. - Amen! And then you can think of your 00:07:24.74\00:07:26.37 family, as well. - That's right! And the family is 00:07:26.47\00:07:27.81 super important, because that family that you 00:07:27.84\00:07:31.71 grew up with and that you've built relationships 00:07:31.81\00:07:34.72 with... - That you've raised. - Right-yeah. 00:07:34.82\00:07:36.62 I mean, that is all part of being a good steward 00:07:36.72\00:07:39.05 and keeping the legacy on and helping family 00:07:39.15\00:07:41.96 and the ministry, and the Lord's blessing a part 00:07:42.06\00:07:46.49 of that. - So what we plan to do today, Lord 00:07:46.59\00:07:49.36 willing, is to actually answer some of those 00:07:49.43\00:07:51.53 questions. We wanna talk about stewardship, 00:07:51.63\00:07:53.40 as well. But before we get in-depth a little 00:07:53.50\00:07:56.91 bit more, let's go to some music. I know 00:07:57.01\00:07:58.77 we appreciate music here at 3ABN, and we 00:07:58.84\00:08:00.74 know that you do, too. We have Moses Brown 00:08:00.84\00:08:03.48 with us today, and his wife is at the piano. 00:08:03.61\00:08:06.01 They're gonna be playing and singing a beautiful 00:08:06.11\00:08:08.38 song, "It Is Well With My Soul". 00:08:08.48\00:08:11.25 When peace like a river attendeth my way 00:08:25.80\00:08:35.54 When sorrows like sea billows roll 00:08:36.11\00:08:45.79 Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say 00:08:46.35\00:08:55.60 It is well, it is well with my soul 00:08:55.86\00:09:05.54 It is well 00:09:06.24\00:09:09.81 With my soul 00:09:11.18\00:09:14.98 Oh, it is well; it is well with my soul 00:09:15.75\00:09:24.99 O Lord, haste the day when Thy faith shall be sight 00:09:27.76\00:09:36.97 And the clouds be rolled back as a stroll 00:09:37.64\00:09:46.25 And the trump shall sound and the Lord shall descend 00:09:46.31\00:09:55.06 Even so, it was well with my soul 00:09:55.66\00:10:04.77 Is it well with your soul 00:10:05.40\00:10:12.51 Is it well, is it well with your soul 00:10:14.38\00:10:24.29 It is well with my soul...yes, it is 00:10:25.02\00:10:34.16 It is well, it is well with 00:10:35.30\00:10:44.94 My soul, my soul, my soul 00:10:45.51\00:10:55.28 - Thank you, Moses Brown, and your dear wife Jeanette 00:11:01.36\00:11:04.03 playing the piano: "It Is Well With My Soul". 00:11:04.13\00:11:07.33 And I'm thinking, Roy, that fits as you think 00:11:07.46\00:11:09.50 about today's topic. It's planned giving, trust 00:11:09.56\00:11:12.73 services... When you plan, there's a sense of 00:11:12.83\00:11:16.20 peace that also comes along with that. So, 00:11:16.30\00:11:19.54 "It Is Well With My Soul". Our confidence is not in 00:11:19.64\00:11:23.41 our money, our things, our property, or any 00:11:23.51\00:11:25.81 of that; it's in the Lord Jesus Christ. 00:11:25.91\00:11:27.62 - In the Lord. Yes. - In the Lord. That is the 00:11:27.72\00:11:29.28 key. But again, God's given us gifts in different 00:11:29.35\00:11:31.99 things here, different assets-whatever that 00:11:32.09\00:11:34.02 may be, as Danny always says, "What does God- 00:11:34.12\00:11:36.93 what has He given to you in YOUR hand?" 00:11:37.03\00:11:39.23 I don't know. YOU know what's in your hand. 00:11:39.33\00:11:41.40 But today, we're talking about planned giving, 00:11:41.50\00:11:43.67 trust services, and how it can be used for the 00:11:43.77\00:11:45.83 Lord's work. - You know, our theme today is the 00:11:45.93\00:11:48.47 joy of giving. - I like that, Roy. - We should 00:11:48.54\00:11:52.24 be joyful. - And why is that? - About giving back 00:11:52.34\00:11:54.74 to the Lord. The Lord has provided for us, 00:11:54.84\00:11:57.05 we're joyful for what He has done for us, 00:11:58.11\00:11:59.98 and we're gonna give something back to Him. 00:12:00.12\00:12:02.45 - Yeah. - And one point I wanted to make: 00:12:02.55\00:12:05.12 part of the joy of doing any documents-we'll 00:12:05.22\00:12:08.36 get into that later- but is you actually live 00:12:08.46\00:12:11.26 longer. - Really? - Really. - Wow. - And I mention 00:12:11.36\00:12:14.93 the myth of dying when you do a document. 00:12:15.00\00:12:17.83 Statistics state that you live longer-another 00:12:17.93\00:12:22.10 seven years longer. - Wow. - Because you 00:12:22.20\00:12:24.17 have everything planned and you don't have any 00:12:24.27\00:12:27.78 worries; you know what's gonna happen. - You know, 00:12:27.84\00:12:30.21 we should probably touch on stewardship, then- 00:12:30.31\00:12:31.78 talking about the joy of giving. - Yes. - Jason, 00:12:31.91\00:12:34.12 tell us-joy of giving, stewardship... I mean, 00:12:34.18\00:12:37.39 you've worked in the conference before you came 00:12:37.49\00:12:39.02 here to 3ABN... - Yep. - ...as our CFO-but the 00:12:39.12\00:12:41.92 joy of giving. Stewardship. - You know, I look at 00:12:42.02\00:12:44.53 stewardship as a way to connect with God. 00:12:44.63\00:12:48.06 When you look at stewardship, we are a steward of 00:12:48.16\00:12:52.27 everything that's God's and when we have that 00:12:52.37\00:12:56.37 mind frame that what we have is really not for 00:12:56.47\00:12:59.87 us but is to glorify God with those resources 00:13:00.01\00:13:04.58 that He has given to us. And it's really nice 00:13:04.68\00:13:07.15 to know that He entrusts us with those resources 00:13:07.25\00:13:10.82 that are His but for our use to share with 00:13:10.92\00:13:14.89 others. - I like that. You said, "It's His." 00:13:14.99\00:13:17.06 - It's His. It's ALL His. - Yeah. Everything. 00:13:17.16\00:13:20.50 - We tend to think that this is ours: "My car 00:13:20.63\00:13:25.23 is mine." And yes, in a sense, it is, but when 00:13:25.33\00:13:29.24 you look at the big picture and you look 00:13:29.37\00:13:30.84 at how the Lord has blessed us, really, 00:13:30.94\00:13:34.61 everything is the Lord's. What we do, the intellectual 00:13:34.71\00:13:38.91 property that the Lord has given us, that's all 00:13:39.01\00:13:41.28 His! - So, our talents. - All our talents. What 00:13:41.38\00:13:44.65 we do with our time, what we do with the 00:13:44.79\00:13:49.39 information that He gives us-all these things 00:13:49.49\00:13:52.16 are really all His, but He's given that to us 00:13:52.26\00:13:56.60 so we may share the good news and show 00:13:56.73\00:14:00.67 that we have a relationship with Jesus. - Wow. Yeah. 00:14:00.77\00:14:05.37 I agree with that 100%. You know, I think sometimes, 00:14:05.44\00:14:07.41 Roy, we can kinda get into like, "Okay, this is 00:14:07.54\00:14:09.04 all mine." What about someone that, at home- 00:14:09.18\00:14:12.11 'cause- that may say, "Oh, you know, I don't 00:14:12.21\00:14:14.48 really have that much stuff," as in, things. 00:14:14.58\00:14:16.99 - Okay! So that's- you know, we... - I still need 00:14:17.12\00:14:22.42 to be a good steward of... - Correct. - ...whatever I have. 00:14:22.52\00:14:24.49 You know, I think each of us can assess our 00:14:24.59\00:14:27.73 own lives and see where we've been blessed. And 00:14:27.83\00:14:32.33 I can tell you, every one of us can say that 00:14:32.43\00:14:35.57 in one way or another, we are blessed, and those 00:14:35.67\00:14:38.77 gifts that God has given us-and we've been all 00:14:38.91\00:14:41.48 given some type of gift- but to share that gift 00:14:41.58\00:14:44.91 with others is what the Lord wants us to do. 00:14:45.01\00:14:47.82 Now, it could be with our talent, like you said. 00:14:47.92\00:14:51.05 It could be with some of of our resources that 00:14:51.15\00:14:53.89 He's given to us. Or, someone that really 00:14:53.99\00:14:56.76 knows how to share Jesus with others...do it! It's 00:14:56.86\00:15:00.80 your gift that God has given, and that's what 00:15:00.93\00:15:03.87 stewardship is about is returning back to 00:15:03.97\00:15:06.80 the Lord, and it's that relationship that we 00:15:06.90\00:15:09.40 have with the Lord in how we give and what 00:15:09.50\00:15:12.67 we give and where we give that makes a big 00:15:12.77\00:15:15.68 difference. - Mhm. - Yeah. - As a steward. - Yeah. 00:15:15.78\00:15:18.51 That's true. So, as stewards, then- you 00:15:18.61\00:15:21.18 know, we're talking about planned giving and 00:15:21.32\00:15:22.68 trust and the joy... What if someone says, 00:15:22.78\00:15:25.55 "You know, I don't really have any joy 00:15:25.65\00:15:27.46 in giving. How do I get joy in giving?" 'Cause, 00:15:27.56\00:15:33.63 you know, I think innately we as human 00:15:33.70\00:15:35.96 beings, we kinda... Well, we don't have- 00:15:36.06\00:15:37.63 we DO have the tendency to be selfish. - Right. 00:15:37.73\00:15:42.17 - You know. As a baby, and I'm crying and 00:15:42.24\00:15:43.57 wanting this and that, and as adults I think 00:15:43.64\00:15:45.54 sometimes we can be selfish. So how do you 00:15:45.64\00:15:48.08 get joy? - So, you know, I look at that as to find 00:15:48.14\00:15:55.45 joy is to give to others. And if you give to a 00:15:55.52\00:16:00.62 young person and you give them a gift, what 00:16:00.76\00:16:03.76 is their facial expressions gonna be? You know, 00:16:03.83\00:16:06.39 are they gonna be frowning when they get 00:16:06.49\00:16:08.43 something? When someone- you know, when I give 00:16:08.53\00:16:10.83 something to my wife that she is not aware 00:16:10.93\00:16:12.83 of, she gets excited! So, I think a gift is 00:16:12.97\00:16:17.87 something that you don't have to pay back; it's 00:16:17.97\00:16:20.64 something that you give out of your heart and 00:16:20.74\00:16:23.38 you give up, and you wanna share that joy. 00:16:23.48\00:16:27.08 Just like, you know, in the Bible there are so 00:16:27.18\00:16:30.39 many stories where they were happy and they gave. 00:16:30.49\00:16:34.26 You know, just after Pentecost, these disciples 00:16:34.36\00:16:37.79 and the people were all connected. They were giving 00:16:37.89\00:16:41.26 and sharing, and of one mind. And because 00:16:41.36\00:16:45.23 they realize that this is a family-oriented kind 00:16:45.33\00:16:50.57 of situation... When we get to heaven, we're 00:16:50.64\00:16:52.54 gonna be sharing everything the Lord has given us. 00:16:52.64\00:16:55.08 Why don't we do it now? And I think, yeah, we 00:16:55.18\00:16:58.28 do get selfish. You know, we have this mind frame, 00:16:58.38\00:17:01.52 "Well, you know, I need it because I 00:17:01.62\00:17:03.52 need to do this or that," but I've seen in my life 00:17:03.62\00:17:06.82 when I give something to someone, they're 00:17:06.96\00:17:09.19 happy; they feel like they are important. 00:17:09.32\00:17:12.39 - True. - And I think that's what's... That's 00:17:12.53\00:17:14.93 how we build relationships. We do things to others 00:17:15.06\00:17:18.23 to uplift them, to grow them, to share Jesus. 00:17:18.37\00:17:23.97 That's what being part of the children of God is 00:17:24.07\00:17:29.54 all about, and stewardship is one of the most 00:17:29.64\00:17:32.21 powerful instruments that each of us have... 00:17:32.35\00:17:35.22 whether it's, like I said, our talents, 00:17:35.32\00:17:37.99 those things that the Lord has given us for 00:17:38.09\00:17:40.09 this purpose. - When you give to ministry, 00:17:40.22\00:17:43.39 you're not giving to one person; you're 00:17:43.53\00:17:46.53 giving to millions of people around the world. 00:17:46.66\00:17:49.86 - People you will never meet. - Never meet. 00:17:49.96\00:17:51.80 - So, yeah! - That's a good point. - Absolutely. 00:17:51.93\00:17:53.97 When you give to 3ABN, for instance, we focus 00:17:54.04\00:17:57.67 on ministry and sharing the good news and giving 00:17:57.74\00:18:01.24 quality programming around the world. There's not 00:18:01.34\00:18:06.48 a lot of companies or organizations that have 00:18:06.61\00:18:09.72 that opportunity that we have. We are a 00:18:09.88\00:18:12.92 steward of this information. And when you give to 00:18:13.02\00:18:15.49 us in your resources, whether it's your time 00:18:15.59\00:18:18.29 or your money, we share that with thousands and 00:18:18.39\00:18:23.37 millions of people. I mean, that is stretching 00:18:23.50\00:18:26.13 that dollar or $10 or $100 or $10,000 or 00:18:26.27\00:18:29.74 $100,000 to a point where it is hard to 00:18:29.84\00:18:34.84 understand how far that money goes. - That's true. 00:18:34.94\00:18:39.45 Now, I think about purpose. Yeah, that's 00:18:39.55\00:18:41.38 a huge thing, 'cause, you know, when there's 00:18:41.45\00:18:42.98 purpose, Roy, that's us- 'cause, you know, people 00:18:43.05\00:18:45.45 don't just give money out there; there's 00:18:45.52\00:18:46.86 usually something. They either love something, 00:18:46.89\00:18:48.79 like something, wanna see a goal accomplished... 00:18:48.86\00:18:51.49 - That's right. - So as I think about those 00:18:51.63\00:18:53.66 through the years that have put money into 00:18:53.76\00:18:55.90 donation or planned giving and trust service department, 00:18:55.96\00:18:58.60 which is really 3ABN, their purpose is souls, 00:18:58.70\00:19:03.10 right? - Absolutely. - And these, as we 00:19:03.20\00:19:05.37 had just talked about a couple minutes ago, 00:19:05.47\00:19:06.81 are people that never met-you will never 00:19:06.84\00:19:09.48 meet. Somewhere around the world, but yet is 00:19:09.54\00:19:11.51 making a difference in their life. What a 00:19:11.61\00:19:13.52 tremendous purpose. - People that are viewers 00:19:13.62\00:19:16.95 right now, listeners on our radio, they are 00:19:17.05\00:19:22.22 looking for something. They have found something 00:19:22.32\00:19:24.89 in our ministry. They like what they hear. 00:19:25.03\00:19:28.73 They're receiving joy from our ministry. So, 00:19:28.83\00:19:32.27 you can continue that joy by getting into 00:19:32.37\00:19:37.04 the giving spirit. And planning your estate 00:19:37.14\00:19:40.31 is something that you can do to give. When you 00:19:40.44\00:19:44.41 have that in mind when you're doing it 00:19:44.51\00:19:47.02 and not thinking, "Oh, I've gotta do this; 00:19:47.12\00:19:49.62 I've gotta do it," it's something that should be 00:19:49.78\00:19:52.09 joyful. - Yeah, that's good. - And you know, 00:19:52.19\00:19:53.66 I also see it as a partnership. You know, when we partner 00:19:53.72\00:19:57.43 with the Lord, with 3ABN, we're partnering 00:19:57.53\00:20:01.50 with people and an organization that has 00:20:01.56\00:20:05.70 the right motives and purpose, and that is 00:20:05.80\00:20:08.34 to build the Kingdom of God as we talk today. 00:20:08.47\00:20:11.27 - That's good. So what's the difference, then- 00:20:11.44\00:20:12.94 okay, 'cause we receive donations in, Jason, 00:20:13.04\00:20:14.58 on a daily basis. - Correct. - here at 3ABN. What's 00:20:14.71\00:20:18.31 the difference between someone giving a donation- 00:20:18.41\00:20:19.95 'cause someone at home may say, "Okay, I send 00:20:20.08\00:20:21.68 my monthly, or my weekly- we know-donation to 00:20:21.82\00:20:24.72 3ABN." What's the difference between planned giving 00:20:24.82\00:20:26.96 and trust services, and me giving a donation? 00:20:27.02\00:20:29.46 - You know, that's a really good question. 00:20:29.56\00:20:31.66 I see that as two different areas. I see one is more 00:20:31.73\00:20:35.13 of a short-term, a now situation, versus-and 00:20:35.23\00:20:39.23 that is giving on a monthly basis-to giving in a 00:20:39.33\00:20:44.97 trust or a CRT- something that's more 00:20:45.07\00:20:48.48 long-term. - Okay. - And trust is usually some- 00:20:48.54\00:20:52.68 these are instruments that help us as we get 00:20:52.78\00:20:55.88 older, as we see our resources, and we 00:20:55.98\00:20:59.25 decide that this is something that I want 00:20:59.35\00:21:02.06 to use in order to fulfill some of my dreams and 00:21:02.16\00:21:06.63 my goals and objectives, while alive but also 00:21:06.76\00:21:11.03 after I pass away. - Okay. So in other 00:21:11.13\00:21:15.04 words, I could actually still continue to be a 00:21:15.10\00:21:16.74 monthly donor but have, as you call them, 00:21:16.84\00:21:19.37 documents set up. Is that right? - Right. 00:21:19.44\00:21:21.08 - It's not one or the other. - That's right! 00:21:21.18\00:21:22.54 - Or... Okay. - You can do both! - Yep. Okay. 00:21:22.64\00:21:24.51 - And I get this question asked to me all the 00:21:24.61\00:21:26.48 time. I say, "How do we impact 3ABN right 00:21:26.58\00:21:30.59 now?" - Oh, wow. - And I say, "While I'm alive." 00:21:30.65\00:21:35.39 The only way you can affect that right now 00:21:35.49\00:21:38.39 is give a donation, right now. If you're 00:21:38.49\00:21:43.93 looking to do a trust, we encourage that. 00:21:44.00\00:21:46.13 That is our long-term planning for Three Angels 00:21:46.23\00:21:49.30 Broadcasting. - That's right. - Because we 00:21:49.40\00:21:51.21 never know when that trust or will is going 00:21:51.31\00:21:55.81 to mature, and the money comes from that. 00:21:55.91\00:21:58.28 So the Lord knows in the future. And when we 00:21:58.38\00:22:03.28 need money, the Lord says, "There's money 00:22:03.42\00:22:06.42 coming." I call it "just-in-time financing", because the 00:22:06.52\00:22:11.79 Lord knows it's gonna be here just in time. 00:22:11.89\00:22:14.23 - That's right. - And you know, I see stewardship 00:22:14.33\00:22:17.47 as a multitier system in what we provide 00:22:17.53\00:22:22.60 here at 3ABN in our stewardship options. 00:22:22.67\00:22:25.41 We have many different options that we provide 00:22:25.51\00:22:28.44 our viewers. And if you're interested, 00:22:28.54\00:22:32.21 Roy is happy to share those type of instruments 00:22:32.28\00:22:35.58 and to help with our stewardship plan, 00:22:35.68\00:22:38.99 whether it be right now or whether it be 00:22:39.05\00:22:41.99 sometime in the future. - Yeah, I agree. Roy, 00:22:42.09\00:22:44.69 you have a great staff: you and your wife, 00:22:44.83\00:22:46.26 of course, and then you have a wonderful 00:22:46.36\00:22:47.70 staff at planned giving and trust services that 00:22:47.73\00:22:50.07 make what could be kinda complicated simple. I've 00:22:50.13\00:22:54.10 got this nice little brochure, and I know 00:22:54.20\00:22:56.54 you have a lot of other resources, too, Roy, 00:22:56.64\00:22:58.21 that you can send out, and of course you're 00:22:58.31\00:23:00.71 happy to talk to anybody on the phone. I want 00:23:00.81\00:23:03.24 to ask you a question though, Roy, because 00:23:03.35\00:23:05.51 you... - Before you go to that question, let 00:23:05.61\00:23:07.42 me mention the brochure. - Yeah, good. - You can 00:23:07.52\00:23:09.72 go online at 3ABN.tv and there's gonna be 00:23:09.78\00:23:14.19 a tab called Planned Giving & Trust Services. 00:23:14.26\00:23:16.99 That brochure is online. - Oh, is it really? 00:23:18.29\00:23:21.03 - You can actually go through online and see 00:23:21.10\00:23:22.66 it. - That's right. - Okay. Yeah, that's 00:23:22.73\00:23:24.43 really good. - So, 3ABN.tv and look for the Planned 00:23:24.47\00:23:27.04 Giving tab. - Yeah, so right at the very top, 00:23:27.07\00:23:28.84 there's different tabs across the top of that 00:23:28.90\00:23:30.27 home page, and you can see Planned Giving. 00:23:30.34\00:23:32.87 - Planned Giving. - Amen. - All right. - That's good. 00:23:32.91\00:23:34.64 So, my question for you is you get a lot 00:23:34.71\00:23:38.31 of phone calls. What is the tone of the 00:23:38.38\00:23:41.65 people, if that may be a good word to describe 00:23:41.72\00:23:43.52 that, or... - Inquisitive. - Inquisitive that you 00:23:43.59\00:23:48.86 get as they call you and say, "Okay, I've 00:23:48.92\00:23:50.56 got this; what do you think?" Are a lot of 00:23:50.63\00:23:53.09 people excited, though, at the same time? 00:23:53.16\00:23:54.76 - They're excited; they're cautious. 00:23:54.83\00:23:56.60 When people are talking money, they're always 00:23:56.67\00:23:59.03 cautious...and we are here to provide information 00:23:59.13\00:24:02.70 and to assure them that anything that we do 00:24:02.74\00:24:05.67 here at Three Angels Broadcasting is done 00:24:05.74\00:24:08.94 according to government regulations... - That's 00:24:09.01\00:24:11.98 correct. - ...everything is done by IRS. There's 00:24:12.05\00:24:17.09 certain standards that we have to meet in 00:24:17.19\00:24:19.55 some of our documents that qualify us to offer 00:24:19.65\00:24:25.06 discounts. Not discounts- tax... - Deductions. 00:24:25.13\00:24:29.06 - Deductions. - Incentives. - Yes, incentives. 00:24:29.16\00:24:30.80 - Incentives for doing it, and the IRS allows 00:24:30.90\00:24:33.50 that for charities to do- ministries. - Yep. - And 00:24:33.60\00:24:37.21 this is one thing I appreciate, too, Roy, 00:24:37.27\00:24:38.74 and that is-you know, as far as your department- 00:24:38.81\00:24:40.31 that is it's not a pressure, like sales pitch. So 00:24:40.38\00:24:45.51 when you call, it's like, "Okay. I'm gonna be 00:24:45.61\00:24:47.62 pressured." No. - No. - And that's one thing: 00:24:47.72\00:24:49.55 that you guys have stood by to not do any type 00:24:49.65\00:24:51.62 of pressure; you're providing information. 00:24:51.65\00:24:53.19 So therefore, you can just call; just talk with 00:24:53.29\00:24:55.36 Roy, his wife Arlene, or the staff. - Our 00:24:55.46\00:24:57.63 philosophy is, we're here to provide the 00:24:57.76\00:25:00.63 information, and then once you receive the 00:25:00.73\00:25:04.03 information, it's between you and God to make that 00:25:04.17\00:25:07.14 decision. And once you make it, we're here 00:25:07.27\00:25:09.90 to facilitate. - And you know, this is a service 00:25:10.04\00:25:12.61 that is very important for part of the stewardship 00:25:12.74\00:25:17.81 plan. And what Roy does, and your team, is a great 00:25:17.91\00:25:21.98 option for our viewers to take part of and 00:25:22.18\00:25:26.15 partner not only with the Lord but with also 00:25:26.25\00:25:28.66 3ABN. - Mhm. - So... - You know, so, being 00:25:28.76\00:25:32.23 a good steward, you were mentioning as 00:25:32.36\00:25:33.70 far as me being a younger person-in my 40s-so 00:25:33.73\00:25:36.43 being a good steward would be also planning 00:25:36.53\00:25:38.07 for the future... - Yes. - What would you say 00:25:38.13\00:25:42.54 to someone like me? - I would say- and a 00:25:42.60\00:25:45.91 lot of younger people say, "We don't have 00:25:46.01\00:25:47.74 much yet," but you're building your estate. 00:25:47.84\00:25:51.75 And your estate is everything that you 00:25:51.88\00:25:54.48 own. - That's right. - Everything. That's 00:25:54.58\00:25:57.39 your house, your car, your bank accounts, 00:25:57.45\00:26:00.26 your stocks... Anything that you own is your 00:26:00.36\00:26:05.66 estate. So, what happens to that estate when you 00:26:05.76\00:26:10.67 pass away? Well, that's what we're talking 00:26:10.77\00:26:12.30 about. And even though we don't like to talk about 00:26:12.37\00:26:15.27 passing away, it's something that we have to talk 00:26:15.37\00:26:17.87 about and actually have fun planning. - That's 00:26:17.94\00:26:23.14 right. - You can actually have fun doing your 00:26:23.28\00:26:24.78 plan. - Really? You don't think about that. - You 00:26:24.91\00:26:27.18 don't think about it. - It seems like it's kind 00:26:27.32\00:26:28.65 of a tough topic. - And people will say, "Wow, we 00:26:28.68\00:26:31.32 didn't realize it was this easy." - Well, and 00:26:31.42\00:26:33.92 you know, you don't want to burden your 00:26:34.02\00:26:35.66 kids when you pass away; but if you have good 00:26:35.76\00:26:38.96 documents that are well-written, which 00:26:39.06\00:26:41.76 we provide, it just makes life easier for 00:26:41.86\00:26:45.37 all the family. - Mhm. - And it's like you said 00:26:45.50\00:26:49.50 in the beginning: it's peace of mind. So when 00:26:49.60\00:26:51.61 you have everything set up, documented well, 00:26:51.71\00:26:54.68 your estate goes smooth, your kids are not burdened, 00:26:54.74\00:26:58.45 and it's just- it's an experience that 00:26:58.55\00:27:01.12 the legacy lives on. - Mm. Yeah, that's good. 00:27:01.22\00:27:04.92 - And that's a very good point, because 00:27:04.99\00:27:06.32 we get calls. People are in a panic. They 00:27:06.35\00:27:10.33 might've been diagnosed with a serious illness. 00:27:10.43\00:27:13.16 - Oh, my. - And that's the worst time to start 00:27:13.26\00:27:17.30 planning. - That's a stressful time. - That's 00:27:17.40\00:27:19.37 a stressful time, knowing that you have something 00:27:19.43\00:27:22.74 that's serious, and you're trying to rush 00:27:22.80\00:27:26.34 around and do all the things that need to be 00:27:26.44\00:27:28.71 done to do-planned giving-and you don't 00:27:28.81\00:27:32.91 wait until that time! - You know, I look at 00:27:32.98\00:27:35.12 it as a... - That's called procrastination. 00:27:35.22\00:27:37.85 [chuckling] A lot of people will procrastinate. 00:27:37.95\00:27:39.82 - That's true. - Until they know they need it. 00:27:39.92\00:27:41.79 - Mhm. - But you know, I look at it as a back-up 00:27:41.89\00:27:44.09 plan. You know, when I'm in my job, I want 00:27:44.19\00:27:46.73 someone to learn my job, as well, so if I- 00:27:46.83\00:27:50.13 say I get hit by a bus, you know, tomorrow- 00:27:50.23\00:27:53.50 and I wasn't planning on it- but if someone knows 00:27:53.57\00:27:57.07 some of the things that I'm doing, the 00:27:57.17\00:27:58.91 transition is a lot easier. - Yes. - And 00:27:58.97\00:28:01.24 that's what trust documents will be able to assist, 00:28:01.34\00:28:04.75 or a will, or, you know, a CRT in planning for 00:28:04.81\00:28:08.68 the future that we don't know what the future 00:28:08.78\00:28:11.25 holds. But as long as we do our due diligence 00:28:11.35\00:28:13.89 and plan accordingly, you know, it just makes 00:28:13.99\00:28:16.56 life a little easier for everyone and 00:28:16.69\00:28:18.09 peace of mind. - We get calls from children, 00:28:18.19\00:28:20.40 wanting to know what Mom and Dad have done, 00:28:20.50\00:28:24.60 and we do a trust. That trust is private information, 00:28:24.73\00:28:28.54 unless the parents have talked to their family. 00:28:28.64\00:28:33.24 We encourage Mom and Dad to talk with the 00:28:33.34\00:28:37.41 family and let them know what they're doing. 00:28:37.51\00:28:39.21 Let the family be part of your plan. - That's 00:28:39.28\00:28:41.62 right. - Because when Mom and Dad are unable 00:28:41.72\00:28:44.69 to make decisions and the children don't know 00:28:44.79\00:28:48.19 what's happened, it really puts a lot of 00:28:48.26\00:28:50.99 pressure on the family. So, a part of your 00:28:51.09\00:28:54.00 planning is talking with your children and 00:28:54.10\00:28:57.30 letting them know what you're doing. - That's 00:28:57.37\00:28:59.07 right. - You know, and we should probably 00:28:59.13\00:29:00.47 actually, Roy, start to transition into some 00:29:00.50\00:29:01.84 of these documents, because you've been 00:29:01.87\00:29:03.20 throwing around- these are terms, you know, 00:29:03.24\00:29:04.57 that these gentlemen who do this all the time, 00:29:04.61\00:29:05.94 they know what all this means. What, CR... 00:29:05.97\00:29:08.28 What, CRUT? And SATs... Yeah. I'm like, oh, 00:29:08.38\00:29:12.01 my, my. You know, I know-... - Don't let 00:29:12.08\00:29:13.88 that scare you. - Yeah, that's right. So we want 00:29:13.98\00:29:15.68 to talk just briefly, kind of give you just 00:29:15.82\00:29:17.42 a quick summary and what these documents 00:29:17.52\00:29:19.19 mean. But again, you can always call the 00:29:19.29\00:29:20.79 Planned Giving & Trust Service office. Well, 00:29:20.92\00:29:22.99 you can see the phone number up now at the 00:29:23.09\00:29:24.69 bottom of the screen right now. Make sure 00:29:24.76\00:29:26.36 I have this right. (800) 886-4800. 00:29:26.46\00:29:30.50 - That is correct. - Okay. (800) 886-4800. 00:29:30.60\00:29:35.60 - You read very well. [laughter] - Thank you 00:29:35.67\00:29:37.77 very much. My mother taught me well; I was 00:29:37.84\00:29:40.08 homeschooled. So, thank you, Mom. [laughter] 00:29:40.18\00:29:42.04 Okay. So, let me just ask this question, and 00:29:42.18\00:29:44.61 then we'll go whatever document you want to 00:29:44.68\00:29:46.01 talk about first. - Okay. - But for someone- well, 00:29:46.08\00:29:49.12 I can hear someone at home right now saying, 00:29:49.22\00:29:50.65 "Okay. I'm gonna call 3ABN, I'm gonna call 00:29:50.79\00:29:52.75 this number, and I know they're not gonna pressure 00:29:52.85\00:29:54.99 me, but I need to probably put the majority of my 00:29:55.09\00:29:58.39 money or finances- it's required to 3ABN." Is 00:29:58.49\00:30:01.76 that a requirement to put 100%, 75%... 00:30:01.90\00:30:04.40 - It is not. - Yup. That's huge! - We like 100%, 00:30:04.50\00:30:09.34 but we encourage, especially people that 00:30:09.40\00:30:11.94 have children. 3ABN is not one that wants 00:30:12.01\00:30:17.31 everything. - That's right. - Now, there are 00:30:17.38\00:30:20.12 some families, there are no children involved, 00:30:20.22\00:30:22.42 there's no family, and 100% is fine. But we 00:30:22.48\00:30:27.19 encourage you to look at your family, see what 00:30:27.29\00:30:32.43 their needs are, and plan accordingly. The 00:30:32.53\00:30:36.46 minimum that we require is 25% of the total 00:30:36.56\00:30:42.10 estate. - On which instrument? - Now, 00:30:42.17\00:30:45.17 that's on the trust. - Okay. - Basically, 00:30:45.31\00:30:48.44 anything that we do, 25% is the minimum. 00:30:48.54\00:30:52.41 - Right. - Right now, we're talking trust; 00:30:52.55\00:30:54.75 we're talking wills. So, a trust... Let's 00:30:54.85\00:30:58.62 get into some of the nuts and bolts-right. 00:30:58.69\00:31:01.72 The trust, we like to use for everybody 00:31:01.82\00:31:05.66 that has real estate- property, land-because 00:31:05.76\00:31:11.07 that's of high value. And when you do a 00:31:11.17\00:31:15.94 trust, everything that goes into the trust, 00:31:16.00\00:31:19.21 you don't have to go to probate. If it's listed 00:31:19.31\00:31:23.35 in the trust-and it's very important that 00:31:23.45\00:31:25.58 people call-they're considering their entire 00:31:25.68\00:31:29.08 estate. Everything that they own needs to go 00:31:29.18\00:31:33.46 into the trust. - So the process is a lot 00:31:33.56\00:31:35.66 easier once someone passes away. - Right. 00:31:35.72\00:31:37.79 - Is a trust like a will, then? - It's a little 00:31:37.89\00:31:40.66 more than a will. - Okay. - It does very much 00:31:40.76\00:31:43.90 the same thing, but you do not have to go to 00:31:43.97\00:31:47.24 probate. - Okay, so what does probate mean? 00:31:47.30\00:31:49.74 - Let me qualify that: I never want to say never. 00:31:49.84\00:31:53.68 - Okay. - Because there may be something that 00:31:53.78\00:31:57.18 was forgotten. The trust has something 00:31:57.28\00:32:01.88 called a pour-over will. Anytime you hear the 00:32:01.98\00:32:05.52 word "will", it has to be probated. - Okay. 00:32:05.59\00:32:08.62 - So, you want to list as much as you can, 00:32:08.76\00:32:11.19 as much as you know, in the trust. And the 00:32:11.29\00:32:15.66 pour-over will acts this way: say you went out, 00:32:15.76\00:32:18.80 you have a trust with us, you went out and bought 00:32:18.87\00:32:21.50 a piece of land. - Okay. - And you paid for it. 00:32:21.60\00:32:25.07 And on the way home, you're killed in a car 00:32:25.11\00:32:26.74 accident. Something that we don't like to 00:32:26.84\00:32:29.91 think about, but that's life. - It happens. 00:32:30.05\00:32:32.78 - That hasn't been put into the trust yet. - Mm. 00:32:32.85\00:32:35.95 - The pour-over will will take that piece 00:32:36.05\00:32:38.89 of property and pour it into the trust. 00:32:38.99\00:32:41.56 - Okay. - But it has to be probated. That 00:32:41.62\00:32:46.86 part has to be probated. That's the only part. 00:32:46.90\00:32:49.66 - So, someone may not know what probated means. 00:32:49.76\00:32:51.63 Who wants to define what probate means? 00:32:51.73\00:32:53.87 - Go ahead, yeah. - I was just gonna get to 00:32:53.94\00:32:56.17 that. - Okay. Sorry, I... - You're pushing 00:32:56.27\00:32:58.34 me! [laughter] - Yeah, I'm pushing you. Yeah, 00:32:58.41\00:32:59.74 okay, okay. I'll try and calm down. [laughter] 00:32:59.77\00:33:02.51 - I know you want to know this information. - I do! 00:33:02.61\00:33:04.31 - You do. And I'll expect you in my 00:33:04.41\00:33:06.38 office, you know, this afternoon. Probate 00:33:06.45\00:33:09.02 is the process of going to a judge to have him 00:33:09.08\00:33:14.62 look at the papers that have been written 00:33:14.69\00:33:17.23 and say, "Yes, this is the way it goes," 00:33:17.29\00:33:20.93 or, "No, I disagree; it's gonna go a different 00:33:21.03\00:33:23.16 direction." And to go to probate, you need 00:33:23.26\00:33:26.40 an attorney. - Okay. - And you know anytime 00:33:26.50\00:33:29.70 you have an attorney involved, it's gonna cost 00:33:29.77\00:33:32.47 money. - That's true. - And it's gonna cost time, 00:33:32.57\00:33:34.74 and it's time that should not have to be 00:33:34.84\00:33:38.21 done. - Right. You know, I look at a will 00:33:38.31\00:33:40.75 as an instruments where you just write a document 00:33:40.82\00:33:45.05 and you say, "This is what I wanna leave 00:33:45.09\00:33:47.09 to 3ABN or to my son or my daughter or my 00:33:47.16\00:33:53.80 family," and you just write that out. The 00:33:53.86\00:33:56.60 trust part is a little more in detail as far 00:33:56.63\00:34:02.30 as, like property, you want to put it in a 00:34:02.40\00:34:05.57 trust to secure that property so you don't 00:34:05.64\00:34:08.71 have to do probate. You save time at the end, 00:34:08.81\00:34:11.71 and it just makes it easier for your estate 00:34:11.78\00:34:14.72 with complex assets... - I see. - ...that you 00:34:14.78\00:34:17.55 want to put or secure safeguard in a trust. 00:34:17.65\00:34:21.86 Yeah, you could have property and a will, 00:34:21.96\00:34:23.93 but sometimes it's better to be in a 00:34:23.99\00:34:25.93 trust to avoid additional time and complexities 00:34:26.03\00:34:29.83 after someone has passed away. - Probate's the 00:34:29.90\00:34:32.40 keyword. - Yup. - And we had a call just in 00:34:32.47\00:34:35.54 the last couple of weeks. Somebody 00:34:35.67\00:34:37.17 heard us talk about probate. - Right. 00:34:37.27\00:34:39.27 - And that has stuck in their mind. They 00:34:39.37\00:34:40.84 said, "We don't want to use probate; we 00:34:40.94\00:34:42.44 want to make sure everything is in trust." 00:34:42.54\00:34:44.78 - Right. - So, that's very important. 00:34:44.91\00:34:46.98 - So, someone at home says, "Okay, so I don't 00:34:47.05\00:34:48.48 have a trust, but I have a will." How hard 00:34:48.58\00:34:51.05 is it for me to take that will and put it 00:34:51.15\00:34:53.79 into a trust with 3ABN? - Very easy, and we 00:34:53.86\00:34:56.99 have many people that have wills...and here's 00:34:57.09\00:35:00.30 something that happens. People that have done 00:35:00.40\00:35:02.46 a will or a trust think, "Oh, we never have 00:35:02.53\00:35:07.14 to look at it again." Wrong. It's something 00:35:07.24\00:35:11.47 that you need to look at every 2-3 years, because 00:35:11.57\00:35:14.78 life changes. - That's true. - And what you're 00:35:14.84\00:35:17.68 planning right now may not apply two or three 00:35:17.75\00:35:20.55 years from now. - That's right. - Somebody that 00:35:20.62\00:35:22.38 you had a beneficiary may have passed away. 00:35:22.48\00:35:25.25 You may have sold property. There's all kinds of different 00:35:25.39\00:35:30.19 things that we need to know about as 00:35:30.29\00:35:32.79 far as making sure your document is correct. 00:35:32.89\00:35:36.53 Now, let me go to something right now 00:35:36.63\00:35:40.60 called a POD. It's called payable on death. 00:35:40.70\00:35:44.31 - POD. - Right. Pay on death. Don't like that 00:35:44.41\00:35:47.84 term, but it's something that most banks use. 00:35:47.94\00:35:51.61 They might call it something different; 00:35:51.71\00:35:53.38 they might call it a certification of trustee. 00:35:53.48\00:35:58.72 They may have different names, but all it does 00:35:58.82\00:36:01.69 is, "What happens to my bank account? My 00:36:01.79\00:36:07.13 stocks, my bonds? What happens to that?" 00:36:07.23\00:36:10.07 - "When I pass away." - You can list that 00:36:10.17\00:36:13.37 in the trust. But recently, I had a situation where 00:36:13.47\00:36:19.07 I had all the documents, I had the trust, and 00:36:19.17\00:36:22.78 we actually had a POD. So I went to the bank, 00:36:22.88\00:36:26.75 and the larger banks are really tough. They 00:36:26.85\00:36:31.15 want to keep that money even though it's my money, 00:36:31.25\00:36:34.72 it's your money, they want to hang onto 00:36:34.82\00:36:37.26 that as long as they can, and they will throw 00:36:37.36\00:36:39.56 every little stone their way. - Well, they want 00:36:39.66\00:36:42.13 to be careful, as well. - They want to be careful... 00:36:42.20\00:36:44.53 - Yeah, they're trying to be careful. - And 00:36:44.63\00:36:46.23 that's a good point. But in this particular 00:36:46.30\00:36:49.44 case, I had all the right documents, and they 00:36:49.54\00:36:53.17 flatly told me, "You don't have the right 00:36:53.27\00:36:55.98 documents." And I had the executor of the will 00:36:56.08\00:36:59.51 with me, and we kind of looked at each 00:36:59.61\00:37:02.15 other and we said, "What's going on?" 00:37:02.22\00:37:05.55 And they weren't forthcoming. They won't tell you 00:37:05.62\00:37:08.79 the information you need to know; you have to 00:37:08.86\00:37:11.09 bring it to them. Well, what happened, what 00:37:11.19\00:37:14.30 they realized, this was the son of the person 00:37:14.40\00:37:18.17 who passed away that the mother had changed 00:37:18.27\00:37:22.44 the accounts. She had enclosed the accounts 00:37:22.54\00:37:26.11 that were listed on that POD, and they 00:37:26.17\00:37:29.94 never did another POD for the new accounts. 00:37:30.05\00:37:32.95 So, at this point, guess what? We have 00:37:33.95\00:37:37.35 to go to probate, because that has to 00:37:37.49\00:37:39.99 come in through the will. We have the 00:37:40.09\00:37:42.52 two accounts that we know are there, but 00:37:42.62\00:37:44.96 they're not listed on that POD. So, something 00:37:45.06\00:37:47.83 that is very easy to do, and I encourage 00:37:47.93\00:37:51.63 everybody, whether you have a document with 00:37:51.70\00:37:53.87 us right now or not, is to go to the bank 00:37:53.97\00:37:56.71 and know who your beneficiaries are on 00:37:56.77\00:37:59.74 your accounts, who your beneficiaries on your 00:37:59.84\00:38:03.24 insurance policies, who are the beneficiaries 00:38:03.31\00:38:05.28 on your stocks and bonds. Because if they're 00:38:05.38\00:38:08.35 not there, that presents probate problems in 00:38:08.45\00:38:11.82 the end. Even though you have a trust, 00:38:11.92\00:38:13.76 it's gonna come in through the will. - Right, 00:38:13.86\00:38:15.89 and a beneficiary is someone who's received 00:38:15.96\00:38:18.16 something part of the documentation. So, 00:38:18.23\00:38:21.03 if I'm a beneficiary of an account... So, 00:38:21.13\00:38:24.23 there's an owner and then the beneficiary. 00:38:24.33\00:38:26.10 So when I pass away, that beneficiary will 00:38:26.17\00:38:28.14 get that account. - Absolutely. - Okay. 00:38:28.20\00:38:30.31 - Yeah. - And I had the executor and the 00:38:30.37\00:38:33.24 beneficiary with me. That didn't count. 00:38:33.34\00:38:36.95 - Right. - Because it has to say it on paper. 00:38:37.05\00:38:39.61 It has to say it on the bank or the credit 00:38:39.71\00:38:42.05 union or whatever financial institutions... Paper. 00:38:42.15\00:38:45.85 - What I like about this POD is it's a very 00:38:45.92\00:38:48.86 easy and quick way to be able to designate 00:38:48.96\00:38:52.86 where that asset goes without creating any 00:38:52.96\00:38:57.03 type of will or trust or anything. It supersedes 00:38:57.13\00:39:00.74 all those other types of documents. - That's 00:39:00.84\00:39:03.61 right. - And that's something you do, 00:39:03.71\00:39:05.04 your bank. - That's something that you do 00:39:05.07\00:39:06.41 at your bank or your insurance company; you 00:39:06.44\00:39:09.01 can do a POD on your insurance policy... 00:39:09.11\00:39:12.15 You could do a POD on many of the instruments 00:39:12.21\00:39:15.25 or assets that we may have. - And if you go 00:39:15.35\00:39:17.99 to the bank and they don't know what the 00:39:18.05\00:39:19.39 term POD means, all you need to say is, 00:39:19.42\00:39:22.39 "I want to know who my beneficiaries are 00:39:22.46\00:39:24.69 on my account right now. If there's none 00:39:24.79\00:39:27.23 there, I want to add." - Yeah. - Or change. 00:39:27.33\00:39:30.50 - And POD is usually for bank accounts 00:39:30.57\00:39:32.80 and things like that. - And there's a term 00:39:32.90\00:39:35.20 for stocks and bonds. Do you remember what 00:39:35.27\00:39:38.91 that term is? I'm putting you on the spot. - Yeah, 00:39:39.01\00:39:41.28 thank you. Um... - Well, as you think about that, 00:39:41.34\00:39:43.98 our time is clicking away... - It really 00:39:44.05\00:39:45.81 is, yes. - So we've got other documents? 00:39:45.91\00:39:47.58 You talked about the trust, and then we've 00:39:47.65\00:39:49.02 got cash trust, too. - We have a cash trust 00:39:49.12\00:39:51.25 that's strictly an investment-type 00:39:51.32\00:39:53.89 document. It's called a trust because you 00:39:53.96\00:39:57.43 invest money. There's a minimum for doing 00:39:57.49\00:40:01.06 it, and it's $10,000 for one person and 00:40:01.13\00:40:03.90 $20,000 for a couple, and that provides 00:40:04.00\00:40:09.24 interest income, and you get that pay 00:40:09.34\00:40:13.88 depending on how much money you put in, 00:40:13.98\00:40:16.11 whether it's monthly or quarterly. - Okay. 00:40:16.21\00:40:19.38 - Or you can twist my arm and I might bend 00:40:19.45\00:40:22.12 the rule a little bit. - Oh, okay. - So, it 00:40:22.22\00:40:23.99 depends on your needs. But that's generally 00:40:24.09\00:40:25.69 the policy is depending on the amount as to 00:40:25.79\00:40:30.79 how often you're gonna get paid. - Okay. - And 00:40:30.86\00:40:34.43 on the cash trust, you can name beneficiaries. 00:40:34.53\00:40:38.50 - Okay! - 25% always comes to 3ABN as a 00:40:38.57\00:40:43.17 minimum. It can be 100%, 50%, whatever 00:40:43.27\00:40:47.01 you want, but we require 25% to do it. Then you 00:40:47.08\00:40:51.01 can list family members, even other ministries. 00:40:51.08\00:40:55.05 - Okay. - And people say, "Other ministries? 00:40:55.15\00:40:57.09 You're a ministry." Yes! Other ministries, 00:40:57.19\00:41:00.06 right documents, and they do the same thing 00:41:00.16\00:41:01.99 for 3ABN. - That's right. - And at this 00:41:02.06\00:41:04.99 point, somebody says, "I already have a trust 00:41:05.09\00:41:09.06 with another ministry." That's great! You know 00:41:09.16\00:41:13.60 what you can do? You can go to them and 00:41:13.70\00:41:15.94 say, "I'd like to add 3ABN as a beneficiary." 00:41:16.04\00:41:18.41 - Mhm. - So we'd become the beneficiary. 00:41:18.47\00:41:20.41 - Yeah. That's great. Yeah, and I'm sure 00:41:20.51\00:41:22.68 there's people out there like that. - Yeah, so 00:41:22.74\00:41:24.08 let me answer your question. The POD is for investment 00:41:24.11\00:41:26.25 accounts, as well, as for, like, checking 00:41:26.31\00:41:28.45 accounts. So, I would say that term is 00:41:28.52\00:41:30.29 transferable between the two. Yeah. - Okay. 00:41:30.39\00:41:33.22 - Okay, so just revocable. Cash trust, revocable? 00:41:33.29\00:41:37.23 - Cash trust is revocable. - What about the trust 00:41:37.33\00:41:40.53 we were just talking about before that? 00:41:40.60\00:41:41.93 - All those are revocable. - Okay! - Right. We 00:41:41.96\00:41:45.33 don't do many irrevocable trusts. - Yup. - That 00:41:45.43\00:41:49.04 gets much more than what we'll talk about 00:41:49.14\00:41:51.11 today. - Yes! - But let's go on real quickly 00:41:51.21\00:41:55.44 to charitable gift annuities. - Mmkay, what does that 00:41:55.54\00:41:58.05 mean? - That is if you have charitable intent- 00:41:58.15\00:42:00.88 and everything you do with 3ABN or any 00:42:00.98\00:42:03.79 ministry, you should have charitable intent. 00:42:03.89\00:42:06.39 - Yeah, that's true. - The joy of giving is 00:42:06.49\00:42:08.66 including charity, the ministry. - And you know 00:42:08.72\00:42:12.06 what's great about annuities that I've 00:42:12.16\00:42:14.03 experienced in managing them for the last, I 00:42:14.16\00:42:17.47 don't know, 20-some years is that those who have 00:42:17.57\00:42:20.94 annuities, they love them so much that they 00:42:21.00\00:42:23.77 get more and more annuities. So, they see the importance, 00:42:23.87\00:42:28.54 and they see it as, like, a check coming 00:42:28.64\00:42:32.31 in the mail, like they get this monthly check or 00:42:32.41\00:42:35.38 quarterly check or semiannually or even 00:42:35.48\00:42:38.32 annually, but they like it so much that they 00:42:38.39\00:42:40.82 do more. But what's even greater than this 00:42:40.92\00:42:43.63 is for some reason, these people live longer 00:42:43.73\00:42:47.36 than their life expecting. [Roy laughs] - We've seen 00:42:47.46\00:42:49.36 that over and over and over again that, you know, 00:42:49.46\00:42:52.93 the worry goes away. They know that this 00:42:53.03\00:42:55.34 money's coming in, they know what they're 00:42:55.40\00:42:58.44 using it for, and it's a perpetual thing 00:42:58.47\00:43:01.38 until they die, but it's something that they 00:43:01.44\00:43:03.71 don't have to worry about, and that's a 00:43:03.78\00:43:05.78 pretty awesome tool. - Oh, yeah. - To use. 00:43:05.88\00:43:08.25 I do wanna just go back to the cash trust. 00:43:08.35\00:43:11.29 You know, we mentioned cash trusts a little 00:43:11.39\00:43:13.56 bit, but that is a revocable instrument 00:43:13.62\00:43:15.96 that pays a decent amount of interest. 00:43:16.02\00:43:17.99 Right now, we have a cash trust, a process 00:43:19.36\00:43:22.30 or program, and we're, right now, earning 00:43:22.40\00:43:25.57 4.03% on the cash trusts, which is a 00:43:25.70\00:43:30.21 pretty good rate for this time of day and age 00:43:30.31\00:43:33.01 where money markets are maybe at 1.5-1.75%. - And that 00:43:33.07\00:43:38.85 you have access to your money. - Right away! 00:43:38.95\00:43:41.02 - Right away. If you need the money... 00:43:41.08\00:43:42.42 - Right! - You can have it. - That's right. 00:43:42.52\00:43:44.35 So, I just wanted to share that. I didn't 00:43:44.45\00:43:46.49 want to go back, but a cash trust is a great 00:43:46.55\00:43:50.03 instrument that instead of sticking in the bank, 00:43:50.09\00:43:52.56 you can put in a cash trust, you can withdraw 00:43:52.66\00:43:55.23 it anytime, it gets good interest, and 00:43:55.33\00:43:57.63 it compounds if you keep it in there, which 00:43:57.73\00:43:59.80 is a really helpful tool later on in life. 00:43:59.87\00:44:01.90 - Now, I will add a little bit of caution 00:44:02.00\00:44:03.91 to the withdrawing. We're not a bank account. 00:44:03.97\00:44:07.38 We're not a bank. - That's a good point. - And we 00:44:07.44\00:44:09.61 don't want individuals constantly withdrawing 00:44:09.68\00:44:14.08 from their account. It's meant to be an 00:44:14.15\00:44:17.02 emergency-type request. - So, it's kind of like 00:44:17.15\00:44:20.16 a reserve of resources that you don't need on 00:44:20.26\00:44:23.02 a monthly basis, and that's... - But if you 00:44:23.12\00:44:25.16 need it, if you bang up your car, you need 00:44:25.23\00:44:27.60 money, you can ask for it. If you need to pay 00:44:27.70\00:44:30.50 your taxes...you know. We never ask what the 00:44:30.60\00:44:33.64 emergency is. - Yeah, yeah. - Of course, that's 00:44:33.70\00:44:35.90 their personal business. - x2. - So going back 00:44:35.97\00:44:37.67 to annuities, can I actually- I've mentioned 00:44:37.74\00:44:39.57 earlier-43 years old- can I do an annuity? 00:44:39.61\00:44:41.41 - Probably not. You could, but the interest 00:44:43.95\00:44:47.05 rate that would be given you is based on your 00:44:47.12\00:44:49.82 age, which is very minimal. - Okay, so 00:44:49.92\00:44:52.35 you recommend annuities to what age range? 00:44:52.42\00:44:54.39 - 65 and up. - Okay. - Is probably the best 00:44:54.46\00:44:56.93 age, and even older now based on... 00:44:57.03\00:44:59.36 If you're 90, you get 9%. - Wow, right. 00:45:00.50\00:45:03.97 Currently. - Currently. If you're 65, you'll 00:45:04.03\00:45:07.37 probably get somewhere between 4 and 5%. 00:45:07.44\00:45:09.37 - Now, there's something, as we know... - And that's 00:45:09.47\00:45:12.14 guaranteed. - That's right. We also provide- 00:45:12.21\00:45:14.08 say you really want an annuity, and you're 00:45:14.18\00:45:17.65 in your 40s. And so, what we do is we do 00:45:17.71\00:45:22.38 a deferred annuity. And so, what we do is 00:45:22.45\00:45:26.02 we look at your age, and then we decide 00:45:26.05\00:45:28.32 when you want to start receiving payments, 00:45:28.39\00:45:31.96 and that's the point that we would figure 00:45:32.03\00:45:36.20 out your interest rate based on a standardization 00:45:36.30\00:45:40.34 that all those organizations that provide charitable 00:45:40.40\00:45:44.41 gift annuities, we use the same system and 00:45:44.51\00:45:47.41 same interest rates. And so, you can do 00:45:47.51\00:45:51.21 it. We could keep the money and defer it 00:45:51.28\00:45:54.38 until you reach 65, 66, 67, where your interest 00:45:54.52\00:45:58.59 rate is a lot better, and then we would manage 00:45:58.65\00:46:00.92 it from that point forward. - That makes 00:46:00.99\00:46:03.56 sense, Jason. Mhm. - Yeah. The other 00:46:03.63\00:46:05.19 possibility, and we encourage people to 00:46:05.26\00:46:07.33 do this... Deferred is one way. Now, there is 00:46:07.40\00:46:10.80 start a cash trust. - Okay. Start with a 00:46:10.90\00:46:13.64 cash trust. - And the interest rates are 00:46:13.70\00:46:15.84 similar to what you're referring to, but we 00:46:15.90\00:46:19.37 send out letters about the last quarter of 00:46:19.54\00:46:24.31 the year and say, "You have this much money 00:46:24.41\00:46:27.18 in the cash trust, and at your age you could 00:46:27.28\00:46:32.25 earn this much more." - Through an annuity, 00:46:32.32\00:46:34.49 or...? - Through a charitable gift annuity, and people 00:46:34.56\00:46:36.73 will transfer money from their cash trust to 00:46:36.79\00:46:39.53 the annuity. - Okay. - And that works out 00:46:39.59\00:46:41.16 very well. - That's right. - So either way: 00:46:41.23\00:46:42.63 deferred annuity or starting a cash trust. 00:46:42.66\00:46:45.67 - Yeah. These are just great tools to, you know, 00:46:45.80\00:46:49.50 keep your resources secure and safe, but 00:46:49.60\00:46:52.21 also have a plan in the future. - You got 00:46:52.27\00:46:54.58 some other documents, Roy? - I do, and I want 00:46:54.68\00:46:56.34 to talk real quickly about IRA rollover. 00:46:56.44\00:46:59.35 - Okay. - People will call us and say, "I'd 00:46:59.45\00:47:02.35 like to roll my IRA over to Three Angels 00:47:02.45\00:47:05.29 Broadcasting. We could have millions of dollars 00:47:05.35\00:47:09.09 in our coffers if we could accept IRA 00:47:09.19\00:47:12.56 rollovers. - I would say that money wouldn't 00:47:12.63\00:47:15.46 stay in the coffers long. It's gonna be 00:47:15.53\00:47:17.20 used for the Lord's work. [laughs] - That's 00:47:17.30\00:47:18.73 right. However, IRS says that rolling over 00:47:18.83\00:47:22.34 an IRA to a charity- any charities, not 00:47:22.44\00:47:26.34 just 3ABN-that can't be done...unless you 00:47:26.41\00:47:31.18 withdraw it from your portfolio and pay the 00:47:31.28\00:47:35.08 taxes on it. - Mm. - And we never encourage 00:47:35.18\00:47:38.09 people to do that. If they do it, it's on their 00:47:38.19\00:47:40.89 own. However, IRS and our Congress has passed 00:47:40.96\00:47:46.43 a law about three years ago. When you're 00:47:46.56\00:47:51.23 70-and-a-half, you have to take what's 00:47:51.33\00:47:55.70 required-a required minimum deduction. 00:47:55.77\00:47:58.34 - Mm. - Distribution. - Distribution. - Okay. 00:47:58.44\00:48:00.78 - From your IRA. If you don't need that 00:48:00.88\00:48:04.75 money- and a lot of people don't; they 00:48:04.85\00:48:07.32 have so much money coming in from other investments 00:48:07.35\00:48:09.98 that they don't need that but they're 00:48:10.09\00:48:11.79 required to take it. So what better way of 00:48:11.85\00:48:14.72 helping a ministry is taking that required 00:48:14.79\00:48:18.73 money and giving it to 3ABN? - Okay. I see. 00:48:18.83\00:48:22.70 - There's a certain way you have to do 00:48:22.80\00:48:26.07 it, and we don't have time to talk about that. 00:48:26.17\00:48:27.94 Call us at (800) 886-4800 and we'll tell you how 00:48:28.04\00:48:35.11 to do that. - Okay. - Even though you're 00:48:35.21\00:48:37.51 required to take that amount, you can actually, 00:48:37.61\00:48:40.08 that amount, up to $100,000, over and above what 00:48:40.15\00:48:44.62 that's required, you can give to a charity. 00:48:44.69\00:48:47.02 - Wow. That's great. - Right. And there's 00:48:47.12\00:48:48.49 tax benefits, as well, for that when you have 00:48:48.59\00:48:51.89 the 70-and-a-half, so... - You don't have to 00:48:51.99\00:48:53.90 report it as income. - That's correct. - It's 00:48:54.00\00:48:55.83 not a deduction; you just don't have to 00:48:55.96\00:48:57.47 report it. - Right, and you don't get a 00:48:57.60\00:48:58.93 charitable deduction for that because it's 00:48:58.97\00:49:02.44 the tax implications. So, you don't have to 00:49:02.54\00:49:05.34 pay taxes, but you also benefit the organization. 00:49:05.41\00:49:08.21 And so, it's kind of a win-win situation, 00:49:08.31\00:49:10.95 the way I look at it. - Oh, amen. - We're 00:49:11.01\00:49:15.08 cutting... Our time's short. - Yeah, I know. 00:49:15.18\00:49:18.05 Our time is getting away from us! - Do 00:49:18.12\00:49:19.49 we have enough time to talk about donor-advised... 00:49:19.59\00:49:21.02 - Absolutely. - Okay. - So, one of the instruments 00:49:21.12\00:49:24.46 that is very interesting today is donor-advised 00:49:24.53\00:49:28.60 funds, and those are instruments where, 00:49:28.66\00:49:31.90 let's say a donor doesn't want the organization to 00:49:31.97\00:49:36.30 have all the money right now. They want to give 00:49:36.37\00:49:38.51 it to them, but they wanted to keep it 00:49:38.61\00:49:39.97 secure for maybe a project that's coming 00:49:40.01\00:49:42.84 up. So, what they would do is they would say... 00:49:42.94\00:49:45.18 Let's just say I had $100,000 and I want 00:49:45.25\00:49:48.02 to give it to 3ABN, but I wanted to restrict 00:49:48.08\00:49:49.75 it in a fund, in a donor-advised fund, 00:49:49.82\00:49:53.12 for projects in the future. So let's say, 00:49:53.22\00:49:56.83 Greg, you say, "We have this project going 00:49:56.93\00:49:58.99 on. We need either more equipment or 00:49:59.06\00:50:01.30 we need to do something or we need to create 00:50:01.36\00:50:04.87 an app to give you resources that you'll 00:50:04.93\00:50:07.87 benefit from," but that costs money. So, a 00:50:07.97\00:50:11.14 donor-advised individual would say, "You know 00:50:11.24\00:50:14.21 what, I want to give $25,000 out of this 00:50:14.28\00:50:17.15 donor-advised fund for this project." And so, 00:50:17.21\00:50:20.35 we would take that money out of this 00:50:20.42\00:50:22.28 donor-advised fund, and we would put it 00:50:22.38\00:50:24.12 in for that project. And that way, the donor 00:50:24.22\00:50:26.99 sees their money going for specific uses that 00:50:27.06\00:50:30.06 is restricted at 3ABN but then utilized when 00:50:30.19\00:50:35.20 the donor wants it to go for a specific project. 00:50:35.30\00:50:38.90 - So the donor's still alive. - That's correct. 00:50:38.97\00:50:40.64 - ...They can see what it's doing and what 00:50:40.74\00:50:42.07 project it's going for. - That's right. So, 00:50:42.14\00:50:43.84 during life, an intestate gift is a great way 00:50:43.91\00:50:48.48 to see how the resources God has given you for 00:50:48.58\00:50:52.28 specific projects and benefits. - Now, you 00:50:52.38\00:50:56.32 used a big word: intestate. - Yes. Yes. - You explain 00:50:56.38\00:51:00.86 that real quick. - So, an intestate gift is 00:51:00.92\00:51:03.59 a gift while you're alive. And, you know, 00:51:03.66\00:51:07.13 yes, it's great that when you die that 00:51:07.23\00:51:09.90 you give to 3ABN and your family...but sometimes, 00:51:10.00\00:51:14.20 it's nice to see how the money is being 00:51:14.27\00:51:18.64 utilized while you're alive to see how it 00:51:18.71\00:51:20.91 benefits the organization, like 3ABN, and the 00:51:20.98\00:51:24.65 benefits that it provides around the world and 00:51:24.75\00:51:28.02 what we do. - Yeah. So, we've talked about 00:51:28.08\00:51:30.19 a lot of different things today. - We have. 00:51:30.29\00:51:31.75 - Stewardship, the joy of giving, a lot of 00:51:31.85\00:51:33.46 different documents... - And you learned a 00:51:33.56\00:51:35.22 new word: intestate. - Yeah, that's right. 00:51:35.32\00:51:37.16 And the definition of all the, like, the trust 00:51:37.26\00:51:40.10 and cash and annuities and all that. But what 00:51:40.20\00:51:42.83 we want to do right now is actually go to 00:51:42.93\00:51:44.27 our address roll, which is the contact information 00:51:44.30\00:51:47.14 for Planned Giving & Trust Services. Let's 00:51:47.20\00:51:49.77 go to that right now. Write it down, and 00:51:49.87\00:51:51.44 you can get more information from them. 00:51:51.54\00:51:53.21 - If you would like to learn more about 00:51:56.01\00:51:57.35 3ABN Trust Services and how to use your 00:51:57.38\00:52:00.32 financial resources, investing wisely, and 00:52:00.42\00:52:03.32 at the same time helping the work of your ministry, 00:52:03.39\00:52:05.65 then you can contact them at 3ABN Trust 00:52:05.75\00:52:09.02 Services Post Office Box 220 West Frankfort, 00:52:09.09\00:52:12.69 Illinois 62896.
