I want to spend my life 00:00:01.60\00:00:06.80 Mending broken people 00:00:07.40\00:00:12.27 I want to spend my life 00:00:12.34\00:00:17.91 Removing pain 00:00:18.65\00:00:23.18 Lord, let my words 00:00:23.82\00:00:28.76 Heal a heart that hurts 00:00:30.03\00:00:33.96 I want to spend my life 00:00:34.46\00:00:39.37 Mending broken people 00:00:40.30\00:00:44.74 I want to spend my life 00:00:45.67\00:00:50.55 Mending broken people 00:00:51.28\00:00:56.05 - Hello and welcome to another 3ABN Today 00:01:10.50\00:01:12.53 program. I'm Jill Morikone, and we're so glad that 00:01:12.63\00:01:15.24 you've taken time from your day to join us. 00:01:15.37\00:01:17.94 And I don't know if you caught on that wide shot, 00:01:18.04\00:01:20.88 but we have some incredible guests today who are dressed 00:01:21.01\00:01:24.45 in some fantastic garb. We're gonna talk about 00:01:24.55\00:01:27.25 some of the countries that they have been in 00:01:27.35\00:01:29.55 for mission work. I'm speaking of AWR, or 00:01:29.65\00:01:34.32 Adventist World Radio. We have featured them 00:01:34.42\00:01:37.43 many times here at 3ABN before. They have a program 00:01:37.49\00:01:40.93 on 3ABN, and we are delighted to partner 00:01:41.03\00:01:43.97 together with helping to spread the gospel. 00:01:44.07\00:01:47.80 We want to bring them in today to share an update 00:01:47.90\00:01:51.31 with you-the countries that they've been, the 00:01:51.44\00:01:53.68 lives that've been changed, the baptisms that are taking 00:01:53.78\00:01:57.08 place-and they have some incredible stories today, 00:01:57.18\00:01:59.45 so I don't want to waste any more time. We want 00:01:59.51\00:02:01.78 to introduce them to you now. We have Duane McKey, 00:02:01.88\00:02:05.45 Elder Duane McKey is the president of AWR and the 00:02:05.55\00:02:09.79 assistant to the General Conference president for 00:02:09.89\00:02:12.19 TMI. Did I get that right? - That's correct, 00:02:12.29\00:02:13.96 yeah. - We're so glad to have you here. - Great 00:02:14.06\00:02:16.46 to be here. Thank you, 3ABN, and thank you 00:02:16.53\00:02:18.60 so much, Jill. This is a real privilege; thank 00:02:18.70\00:02:21.27 you. - It's a privilege to have you here. How 00:02:21.37\00:02:23.20 long have you been president of AWR? 00:02:23.30\00:02:25.44 - Oh, I'd say two-and-a-half years. - Two-and-a-half 00:02:25.51\00:02:27.01 years. Okay. All right. And sitting next to you 00:02:27.11\00:02:28.68 is your beautiful wife, Kathy McKey. You are 00:02:28.78\00:02:31.91 the social media and outreach coordinator 00:02:32.01\00:02:34.38 for the General Conference president. Is that right? 00:02:34.48\00:02:36.58 - That's right. - Aww. - It's a privilege. - So 00:02:36.69\00:02:38.99 what does that entail? - Well, I do some writing 00:02:39.05\00:02:43.06 for social media, and specifically Facebook and 00:02:43.12\00:02:47.76 Twitter for Elder Wilson, and then social media, 00:02:47.86\00:02:51.77 all these TMI projects, I'm involved in. - So, 00:02:51.87\00:02:55.00 tell us right off before we introduce the rest 00:02:55.07\00:02:56.64 of our guests. What is TMI? Does that mean 00:02:56.74\00:02:58.94 "too much information"? - No-no, no, "too many 00:02:59.04\00:03:01.34 people in Indianapolis". [laughter] - So, tell 00:03:01.44\00:03:06.01 us what Total Member Involvement is. - Yeah. 00:03:06.08\00:03:07.92 Mrs. White makes it very clear the work won't be 00:03:08.02\00:03:09.85 finished until the pastors and the laypeople work 00:03:09.95\00:03:13.15 together, join hands, administrators, and then 00:03:13.25\00:03:15.72 as we work together the work will be finished. 00:03:15.79\00:03:17.86 And so, we're very passionate about that. Elder Wilson's 00:03:17.96\00:03:20.03 very passionate about it, and so I'm his assistant 00:03:20.10\00:03:21.80 for that. But to kind of put it together; we call 00:03:21.90\00:03:24.10 it AWR360° Broadcast to Baptism. So, that's AWR, the 00:03:24.20\00:03:28.87 broadcasting, plus the Broadcast to Baptism. 00:03:28.97\00:03:31.64 The 360 brings Total Member Involvement together with 00:03:31.74\00:03:34.31 AWR. - Amen! That's wonderful. So, AWR 00:03:34.41\00:03:37.61 combining with that Total Member Involvement 00:03:37.68\00:03:40.18 with the broadcast with the evangelism and baptism. 00:03:40.25\00:03:43.15 - Right. - Oh, praise the Lord! Okay! And then we 00:03:43.25\00:03:46.02 have Kyle Allen who is the vice president for 00:03:46.09\00:03:49.29 AWR, and we're so glad to have you here. - It's 00:03:49.39\00:03:51.49 great to be back to 3ABN. - Absolutely. How long 00:03:51.59\00:03:54.80 have you been with AWR? - Oh... What, a year and a 00:03:54.86\00:03:58.17 half, about roughly? - Yeah. - It's just like that. 00:03:58.30\00:04:01.44 I mean, so much is going on, you don't 00:04:01.57\00:04:02.94 even know a year and a half passed, but yeah. 00:04:03.00\00:04:04.74 [laughter] It's been a blessing. - It's a privilege 00:04:04.81\00:04:07.18 to have you here. I know we've worked together 00:04:07.28\00:04:08.84 many years with ASI, as well, and you're a pastor, 00:04:08.94\00:04:11.78 and we're just glad to have you here. - Thank 00:04:11.88\00:04:13.68 you, Jill. - And sitting next to you is Cami 00:04:13.78\00:04:15.35 Oetman. And Cami, you are the AWR vice president 00:04:15.48\00:04:18.89 for advancement. - Yes. And it is an honor and 00:04:18.99\00:04:22.22 privilege. I love what I get to do for the Lord 00:04:22.29\00:04:24.36 through AWR. - Amen! Amen. So, tell us just 00:04:24.46\00:04:28.40 a moment, before we jump into why we're dressed 00:04:28.50\00:04:31.17 this way and what country you just came back from, 00:04:31.27\00:04:33.77 tell us about AWR-Adventist World Radio. - Well, our focus 00:04:33.87\00:04:39.64 is the world, of course. We want to communicate 00:04:39.77\00:04:41.98 the gospel on every media possible. Social media, 00:04:42.08\00:04:46.82 AM/FM, shortwave broadcast radio...anything we can do 00:04:48.18\00:04:51.99 to broadcast the news that Jesus is coming back 00:04:52.09\00:04:55.36 soon-the good news. And so, that's what we're 00:04:55.46\00:04:57.96 about: sharing Jesus with the world. And of 00:04:58.06\00:05:00.60 course, like Cami says, I think that we go where... 00:05:00.70\00:05:04.53 - We go wherever air goes. - Ooh! - When you think 00:05:04.63\00:05:08.74 about that, that's the truth. Radio, the broadcast 00:05:08.80\00:05:11.81 waves, can go wherever air goes, and it's just 00:05:11.94\00:05:14.54 such a powerful message. - There's no walls, no 00:05:14.61\00:05:17.15 borders, no limits. - Yeah, that's right! Exactly! 00:05:17.21\00:05:20.25 And what I love is that we do not just broadcast 00:05:20.38\00:05:23.39 but Broadcast to Baptism. - Amen. - That's AWR360's 00:05:23.45\00:05:27.79 motto, because we are not only broadcasting 00:05:27.89\00:05:32.16 through the airwaves, but we have boots on the 00:05:32.26\00:05:33.86 ground, so we're doing the work of the front lines, 00:05:33.93\00:05:36.73 evangelism, and it's very high-touch, is what we 00:05:36.83\00:05:41.70 call it, ministry. - High-tech to high-touch. - Yes! 00:05:41.84\00:05:46.31 [laughter] Sorry! - No, it's fine. [laughter continues] 00:05:46.37\00:05:49.44 - Exactly. - 'Cause for a long time, we've been 00:05:49.51\00:05:50.88 broadcasting around the world, and that's great. 00:05:50.95\00:05:52.78 But just to broadcast is one thing, but then 00:05:52.88\00:05:56.69 to help complete that circle to lead people to 00:05:56.75\00:05:59.25 make a decision to follow Christ and to become a 00:05:59.35\00:06:01.59 part of the church, that's kind of the vision of AWR360. 00:06:01.66\00:06:05.06 - Yes; connecting them to a church family. 00:06:05.16\00:06:07.43 - We're even using cell phones. - Nice. - So, we're connecting- 00:06:07.56\00:06:11.43 we don't know for sure- 200,000-300,000 people 00:06:11.53\00:06:13.90 around the world every week. We're connecting 00:06:14.00\00:06:16.24 with them through the cell phone-evangelistic 00:06:16.34\00:06:17.84 sermons. - Amen! So these are podcasts? These are 00:06:17.91\00:06:21.84 that people can download and watch or listen to, 00:06:21.94\00:06:24.45 or...? - Oh, no; we're on the cell phones. We share the 00:06:24.51\00:06:25.88 numbers through WhatsApp. - Through WhatsApp, Facebook 00:06:26.01\00:06:29.38 Messenger-sending Bible studies, basically, through 00:06:29.48\00:06:31.15 these different messaging services. People receive 00:06:31.25\00:06:33.52 the Bible studies; they get audio and they listen 00:06:33.62\00:06:35.82 to the sermons right there on their phones. 00:06:35.92\00:06:37.59 - Yes. - This is direct digital evangelism 00:06:37.73\00:06:39.79 is what we're talking about. - It is. Very powerful. 00:06:39.89\00:06:42.63 - Yes! - I believe it's going to be a big part 00:06:42.73\00:06:44.97 of how the Lord finishes the work, because everyone 00:06:45.10\00:06:47.94 has a cell phone-the majority of the world. 00:06:48.00\00:06:49.90 - And we're using in our radio stations, radio 00:06:50.01\00:06:52.41 stations broadcasting, and then directing people 00:06:52.47\00:06:54.34 to study the Bible through their cell phones, finding 00:06:54.48\00:06:56.51 people on Facebook... It's just the whole cycle 00:06:56.64\00:06:58.71 just using all these different forms of media to reach 00:06:58.81\00:07:01.52 people's hearts. - Amen. - So do you have a team 00:07:01.65\00:07:03.82 of people who will help answer these as far as 00:07:03.92\00:07:05.75 the social media and the Facebook and the cell 00:07:05.85\00:07:07.56 phones? And you have people locally in different 00:07:07.66\00:07:09.82 countries, or how do you work that? - It's growing. 00:07:09.92\00:07:11.56 We have what we call a center for digital 00:07:11.66\00:07:13.46 evangelism. The first one is in the Philippines. 00:07:13.53\00:07:16.16 - Yes. - A college working with that. You got a lot 00:07:16.26\00:07:17.93 of information you can share. - We're very 00:07:18.07\00:07:20.20 excited. We're getting young people involved in 00:07:20.34\00:07:23.24 becoming digital evangelists. If you can imagine like a 00:07:23.34\00:07:26.17 call center where they're not only answering calls 00:07:26.24\00:07:28.44 but responding to Facebook posts, WhatsApp messages, 00:07:28.54\00:07:31.65 reaching people, praying for them, studying the Bible 00:07:31.75\00:07:35.48 with them... That's our vision. We've just started 00:07:35.58\00:07:37.15 in the Philippines. We're hoping to expand in other 00:07:37.25\00:07:39.55 places around the world, as well. - Amen! That's 00:07:39.65\00:07:41.82 exciting. I mean, wow. It just makes your head 00:07:41.89\00:07:44.43 spin, almost. You know, every project you're involved 00:07:44.56\00:07:46.13 in... - We could spend a whole hour talking about 00:07:46.23\00:07:47.56 that. [laughter] - Well, we'll do that sometime. 00:07:47.60\00:07:49.40 [laughter continues] But we want to talk about... 00:07:49.50\00:07:51.77 You all are dressed in some fantastic- it's 00:07:51.83\00:07:54.14 beautiful, your outfits. And they come from the 00:07:54.20\00:07:57.01 Maasai, so tell us where you just came back from. 00:07:57.14\00:07:59.17 - Yes, the traditional Maasai! - Okay. - We 00:07:59.27\00:08:00.61 were in Tanzania. And so, we did so much in Tanzania, 00:08:00.68\00:08:03.55 and we're excited to share about that. We started, 00:08:03.65\00:08:07.35 actually, with entering a village of the Maasai, 00:08:07.45\00:08:10.45 our video crew, so we could learn about their 00:08:10.52\00:08:12.82 traditions, their culture... And so, there's a few 00:08:12.92\00:08:15.52 photos that we'd like to share with you. Of course, 00:08:15.62\00:08:18.49 the Maasai are known for their jumping. That's how 00:08:18.59\00:08:21.03 they- it's incredible how high these men 00:08:21.13\00:08:23.93 can jump. As you can see, our video crew attempted 00:08:24.00\00:08:26.23 to do that with them. - Oh, that's great! - It 00:08:26.30\00:08:28.37 was an absolute ball; they loved that we joined 00:08:28.47\00:08:29.87 in with them, and it's a bonding thing, really. 00:08:29.94\00:08:32.67 [laughter] And then we actually learned about 00:08:32.74\00:08:36.38 how they live. They use every part of the cow. 00:08:36.48\00:08:39.15 The cow is very important to them, and they herd 00:08:39.21\00:08:42.38 hundreds and hundreds of cows, which we have an 00:08:42.48\00:08:44.35 incredible story coming up about that. But if 00:08:44.45\00:08:46.69 you show the next picture, you can see even we carried 00:08:46.79\00:08:49.66 their... - The one with the baby on your back? - Yeah, 00:08:49.72\00:08:51.69 did you show that? Okay. - I just saw that. Let's 00:08:51.79\00:08:53.70 put that up again. That was a great picture. - It 00:08:53.83\00:08:55.26 was so sweet. We were invited into their huts, of course. 00:08:55.36\00:08:58.70 They're very simple, but just such loving people, 00:08:59.77\00:09:02.67 and they're hungry for the Word of God. And so, we 00:09:02.77\00:09:06.74 went into- their huts are made out of even 00:09:06.81\00:09:09.14 cow dung, and... I mean, they use EVERY part... 00:09:09.21\00:09:11.65 - Literally. - Yeah. It was like 100 degrees or more 00:09:11.75\00:09:15.32 in there. But anyhow... [laughs] And bless their 00:09:15.42\00:09:17.79 hearts; they're just the sweetest people, 00:09:17.89\00:09:19.22 and it was a privilege to spend time with them. 00:09:19.25\00:09:21.26 And one of our incredible stories came out of the 00:09:21.36\00:09:24.96 Maasai village, and I know Duane- this is 00:09:25.03\00:09:28.23 a favorite story, and it's about Abraham. - Kathy 00:09:28.30\00:09:32.20 and I grew up on a farm. - Okay. - North Dakota 00:09:32.27\00:09:34.50 and Oklahoma. They had wheat and grain and things; 00:09:34.57\00:09:37.24 we had cows. And as I remember back for, oh, 00:09:37.31\00:09:41.18 50 years and my parents had cows, first beef and 00:09:41.24\00:09:43.91 then dairy cows, I can only remember a one set 00:09:43.98\00:09:46.55 of twins. - Okay. - Cows have one baby. - Right. 00:09:46.65\00:09:50.05 - Nine months, like people; one baby. [laughs] 00:09:50.12\00:09:52.45 Sheep and goats have one or two; never three. 00:09:54.09\00:09:58.06 And so, Abraham became an Adventist, went to series 00:09:58.13\00:10:01.96 of meetings, was out in the field... He's much like 00:10:02.00\00:10:04.90 a chief; has lots of cows-hundreds and 00:10:04.97\00:10:07.40 hundreds of cows. He's very wealthy. And he's 00:10:07.54\00:10:09.70 listening to his radio, and he's listening to 00:10:09.77\00:10:11.77 AWR, and he hears about tithing. So, he decides 00:10:11.87\00:10:15.04 he's going to tithe. - Oh, wow. - And so, he brings 00:10:15.11\00:10:18.35 his cows in, gets them all in a huge pen, and 00:10:18.45\00:10:21.82 he counts them out. One, two, three, four, five, 00:10:21.88\00:10:25.15 six, seven, eight, nine, tithe. [laughter] One, 00:10:25.22\00:10:29.86 two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 00:10:29.92\00:10:32.73 tithe. His neighbors come and they start watching. 00:10:32.79\00:10:36.36 They're non-Christian neighbors, and they 00:10:36.43\00:10:38.80 start laughing. "Abraham has lost his mind. No 00:10:38.87\00:10:41.70 Maasai in his right mind would give away a cow." 00:10:41.77\00:10:44.84 Sometimes, the bull is more important than 00:10:44.91\00:10:47.78 the kid. I mean, they're very special to them. 00:10:47.84\00:10:50.41 They don't give away their cows. And they're 00:10:50.48\00:10:52.81 saying, "Abraham is crazy; he's lost his mind." No, 00:10:52.88\00:10:55.95 he just keeps counting: one, two, three, four, 00:10:56.05\00:10:58.79 five, six, seven, eight, nine, tithe! [laughter] 00:10:58.85\00:11:00.89 And so they take the cows away, and he gives, 00:11:00.96\00:11:05.19 I think that day- was it... - He gave $30,000 worth 00:11:05.26\00:11:09.73 of cows away. - Oh, wow! - He had called in the 00:11:09.76\00:11:15.74 conference and to come and receive these cows 00:11:15.80\00:11:20.81 for tithe. That's right. It was amazing. - And so 00:11:20.88\00:11:25.81 the weeks start going by, and his cows, nine months 00:11:25.88\00:11:30.89 later, start having babies. But instead of one, they 00:11:30.99\00:11:34.62 start having two. - Did they have twins? - Yes! 00:11:34.69\00:11:37.63 All the cows. - Twins. Unheard of. - All of the 00:11:37.69\00:11:43.33 cows? - All of the cows. - And the sheep, instead 00:11:43.37\00:11:45.50 of having one, they're having two and three. 00:11:45.57\00:11:47.50 Two and three! - Wow. - And so, the neighbors 00:11:47.57\00:11:50.84 are so impressed, they go to the conference. 00:11:50.91\00:11:54.64 And they said, "We want to pay tithe." [laughter] 00:11:54.71\00:11:58.08 But they said, "You're not Adventist." "We don't 00:12:01.12\00:12:03.42 care! We want Abraham's blessings! We want to pay 00:12:03.49\00:12:05.69 tithe!" [further laughter] - That's right. And here's 00:12:05.72\00:12:08.49 another thing: if people, thieves, came to steal 00:12:08.59\00:12:13.86 their cows, Abraham's cows, they would always 00:12:13.96\00:12:16.80 come back. - The cows return on their own. 00:12:16.90\00:12:20.00 - The cows would like having a homing device. 00:12:20.10\00:12:21.90 - Yes. - Yeah, that's right. And so finally, 00:12:22.00\00:12:24.87 the word went out with the thieves: don't steal Abraham's 00:12:24.94\00:12:27.08 cows. It's no use, because they'll go back home. [laughs] 00:12:27.14\00:12:30.95 - You know, it's the promise of Malachi. - Amen. - You 00:12:31.01\00:12:33.38 know you return that to God, and He will open 00:12:33.42\00:12:35.38 up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing, 00:12:35.48\00:12:38.22 but there's not even room to receive it. 00:12:38.29\00:12:40.29 - You can't- like we say on the farm, that 00:12:40.36\00:12:42.92 God's scoop shovel is bigger than ours. [laughs] 00:12:42.99\00:12:46.36 You can't out give God. - Amen. - That's right. 00:12:46.43\00:12:49.16 - What a witness! And that happened before you all 00:12:49.23\00:12:51.93 came in. - That's right. - And they told you the 00:12:52.00\00:12:54.04 story. - That's right. - But we met Abraham 00:12:54.10\00:12:57.21 and...yeah. - Oh, yeah. - Yes, there's a few 00:12:57.31\00:12:59.44 photos of that. And what's so great is that while we 00:12:59.51\00:13:02.34 were there in Tanzania... - Is this Abraham? - Yes, 00:13:02.44\00:13:04.85 this is Abraham listening to AWR Radio. - Aww. - That's 00:13:04.91\00:13:08.75 right. - That's wonderful. Praise the Lord. - And 00:13:08.88\00:13:12.39 then there's... This is actually a shot from 00:13:12.49\00:13:14.76 when we actually recreated his story for a video, so 00:13:14.86\00:13:17.69 be looking for that. Awesome, awesome story to have on 00:13:17.76\00:13:21.20 video. So, there I am in the middle of hundreds 00:13:21.26\00:13:23.50 of cows. [laughter] ...stampede, but I learned 00:13:23.60\00:13:26.13 how to, like, guide them with a stick, and it was 00:13:26.17\00:13:28.04 pretty fun, yeah! - With a stick. - With a stick, 00:13:28.10\00:13:29.84 yes. - And she learned how to walk. - That's impressive! 00:13:29.90\00:13:32.41 - You know, they kind of really direct, but I couldn't; 00:13:32.47\00:13:33.88 I just kind of lightly tapped, and they listened! 00:13:33.91\00:13:35.94 You know, I can't...you know. Whip or anything, 00:13:36.01\00:13:39.28 but anyway, you know- and it was just fun to 00:13:39.31\00:13:41.18 be out there, be with them...so yeah. But 00:13:41.25\00:13:44.09 you know, many amazing things happened while we 00:13:44.19\00:13:45.75 were there in Tanzania. See, the radio broadcasters 00:13:45.82\00:13:48.96 there, we let everyone know that we were 00:13:49.02\00:13:50.56 coming before. We had our evangelistic series. 00:13:50.63\00:13:52.79 And in doing that, the evangelistic series, they 00:13:52.86\00:13:56.83 would invite people to the evangelistic series, 00:13:56.90\00:13:58.60 and then they would give a Bible question of the day 00:13:58.63\00:14:00.77 on the radio. - Ah! - And then, you know, 00:14:00.84\00:14:03.81 they talk about a certain topic, and the next day, 00:14:03.87\00:14:05.54 people would call in and answer the Bible 00:14:05.61\00:14:07.41 question of the day, and they would win a radio. 00:14:07.51\00:14:09.34 But what was so awesome that they thought of is 00:14:09.44\00:14:11.75 that you come to pick up the radio at church on 00:14:11.85\00:14:14.72 Sabbath. - What a great idea! - Isn't that a good 00:14:14.78\00:14:17.45 idea? - Yeah! - So we were there in church, 00:14:17.55\00:14:19.69 and they came to pick them up, and Kathy, this 00:14:19.79\00:14:22.76 one... - This one was a blind young man, and 00:14:22.86\00:14:26.73 he had listened intently to the radio to get the 00:14:26.80\00:14:30.90 answer to the question of the day right. And so, 00:14:31.00\00:14:36.40 he won that radio. - And actually, he knew the answers 00:14:36.50\00:14:38.97 better than anyone else, because he learned to 00:14:39.07\00:14:40.61 listen. He was blind, and he learned to listen well. 00:14:40.71\00:14:43.45 - Wow. Amen, amen. - And here was another young 00:14:43.51\00:14:45.85 man. He listened to the radio, and he memorized 00:14:45.95\00:14:50.75 1,000 memory verses. - Wow! - 1,000! - 1,000 memory verses. 00:14:50.85\00:14:56.93 - In under a year. - That's amazing. - Yes. - Amen. 00:14:57.03\00:15:00.40 - So we were there, and they gave the radio as 00:15:00.50\00:15:01.83 they came out. We took pictures of it... - Yeah. 00:15:01.86\00:15:03.47 It was wonderful. - Exciting. Yeah. - What a blessing. 00:15:03.57\00:15:07.07 - It was. - So you had the evangelistic series? 00:15:07.17\00:15:09.37 Did you have several evangelistic series? 00:15:09.47\00:15:11.37 - Oh, yeah. Yeah. - How many? Do you remember? 00:15:11.44\00:15:12.87 - I think over 90, wasn't it? - Yeah, we had 89 of 00:15:12.97\00:15:15.54 our broadcasters giving the series, but we'd love 00:15:15.64\00:15:20.15 to share that after the video. We'll show one of 00:15:20.25\00:15:21.62 our protection from the pigs video now. - Ooh, 00:15:21.72\00:15:25.25 exciting! I want to see this. Protection from the 00:15:25.32\00:15:28.02 pigs in Tanzania. Let's take a look at that video 00:15:28.12\00:15:30.33 now. - Yes. 00:15:30.43\00:15:31.79 - Welcome to a country shared by thousands of 00:15:36.53\00:15:39.37 animals, over 120 different travel groups, and home to 00:15:39.47\00:15:46.74 some of Africa's most famous national parks. 00:15:46.84\00:15:49.64 - I'm in Tanzania, and this is AWR360. [cheering] 00:15:49.78\00:15:57.05 - My name is Michael, and I live in the northern 00:16:10.53\00:16:13.44 part of Tanzania. I have a beautiful wife and family 00:16:13.54\00:16:19.14 and grow vegetables to sell. - As a teenager, Michael 00:16:19.94\00:16:25.25 had embraced the Seventh-day Adventist message. But as 00:16:25.31\00:16:28.38 the years passed by, he laid aside his faith and 00:16:28.45\00:16:31.69 slowly forgot about God. [music] 00:16:31.79\00:16:35.79 Michael settled down, married, and began to 00:16:35.89\00:16:38.46 put all his time and energy into growing 00:16:38.56\00:16:40.80 vegetables for sale. He took pride in his beautiful 00:16:40.86\00:16:45.03 garden and always kept it neat. Then, one day, 00:16:45.13\00:16:49.70 something happened that would disrupt their peaceful, 00:16:49.80\00:16:53.17 quiet lives, and ruin Michael's garden. 00:16:53.31\00:16:56.78 - I started having terrible problems. Wild pigs 00:17:10.33\00:17:13.70 would come into my garden at night, destroying my 00:17:13.80\00:17:17.13 plants and eating my vegetables. In order 00:17:17.23\00:17:23.17 to protect the crops, I began staying up all 00:17:23.27\00:17:26.14 night to keep watch. [music] 00:17:26.21\00:17:29.94 - One evening as he kindled a fire and prepared for 00:17:39.12\00:17:41.99 another long night, Michael switched on his 00:17:42.09\00:17:45.16 radio. The station playing was new to him, but 00:17:45.29\00:17:48.43 the words sounded strangely familiar. It had been so 00:17:48.50\00:17:51.60 many years since he had heard anything about 00:17:51.70\00:17:54.24 Jesus. It was all such a distant memory. The 00:17:54.30\00:17:58.07 night passed more quickly this time, and when morning 00:17:58.17\00:18:01.54 broke, Michael's little radio was still playing 00:18:01.61\00:18:04.35 the station he would later learn was Adventist World 00:18:04.45\00:18:07.98 Radio. The second night, Michael again turned 00:18:08.05\00:18:12.35 his radio to AWR, and this time invited 5 of 00:18:12.49\00:18:16.49 his neighbors to come listen, as well. 00:18:16.62\00:18:18.89 - On the third night, a message about faith 00:18:19.03\00:18:21.96 was presented on the radio. My heart was touched, 00:18:22.06\00:18:25.93 and I say to my friends, "If there is a God big 00:18:26.07\00:18:29.47 enough to protect our crops, why are we staying 00:18:29.54\00:18:32.61 up the whole night?" - Michael decided he 00:18:32.71\00:18:37.31 would give God a second chance. In an effort to 00:18:37.45\00:18:42.88 test and see if God was real, Michael remained 00:18:42.98\00:18:46.09 home the next night instead of going out and watching 00:18:46.15\00:18:49.32 over his crops. Before bed, he gathered his 00:18:49.46\00:18:53.80 family together to listen to AWR and pray for 00:18:53.93\00:18:57.60 God's protection. [uplifting music] 00:18:57.70\00:19:04.47 The next morning, Michael went outside to survey 00:19:04.57\00:19:07.28 his crops. Amazingly, there was no damage! 00:19:07.34\00:19:13.15 - I was so excited, and when running back to 00:19:16.05\00:19:18.19 share the good news with my family, for the first 00:19:18.29\00:19:22.09 time in my life, I realized that God was real and 00:19:22.22\00:19:26.63 cared for me. - Night after night, 00:19:26.76\00:19:31.10 Michael returned home, listened to his radio, 00:19:31.23\00:19:34.24 and once again prayed for God's protection before 00:19:34.34\00:19:37.34 peacefully sleeping. Michael's neighbors 00:19:37.47\00:19:42.01 began to ask questions. They had watched as the 00:19:42.11\00:19:44.98 pigs passed by Michael's fields, only to eat THEIR 00:19:45.11\00:19:48.32 surrounding crops. The neighbors felt sure it 00:19:48.38\00:19:51.52 was witchcraft...but Michael gladly explained 00:19:51.62\00:19:54.96 about the radio and a God who would even 00:19:55.06\00:19:57.86 protect vegetables from pigs. - Several of my 00:19:57.93\00:20:02.63 neighbors decided to test God, too, and listened to 00:20:02.73\00:20:06.07 AWR at home instead of guarding their crops at 00:20:06.17\00:20:09.50 night, and the pigs no longer bothered their 00:20:09.64\00:20:12.24 vegetables, either! - Before long, Michael, 00:20:12.31\00:20:17.91 his family, and 30 other people from his village 00:20:18.01\00:20:21.88 decided to give their lives to Jesus through 00:20:22.02\00:20:25.15 baptism. 00:20:25.25\00:20:27.89 - We are so thankful for Adventist World Radio. 00:20:33.40\00:20:36.03 If we had not heard it, we would still be out in 00:20:36.13\00:20:40.24 the dark, guarding our crops from pigs and 00:20:40.37\00:20:43.20 would've missed hearing about Jesus. - Three 00:20:43.30\00:20:47.78 years later, Michael's garden continues to 00:20:47.88\00:20:50.75 grow well, and the wild pigs have never returned. 00:20:50.88\00:20:54.48 Michael loves to tell everyone about Jesus, 00:20:54.62\00:20:57.82 and with a big smile, shared with us that he 00:20:57.95\00:21:00.86 is a missionary now. His love for Jesus and 00:21:00.96\00:21:05.33 the Seventh-day Adventist church has been rekindled, 00:21:05.43\00:21:08.70 and he has a passion born from a personal experience 00:21:08.80\00:21:12.00 of faith and trust... and all of this is the 00:21:12.10\00:21:16.20 simple result of a radio broadcast and a God 00:21:16.27\00:21:19.61 big enough to answer prayer. 00:21:19.71\00:21:22.91 Thank you for your generous support of 00:21:25.95\00:21:27.85 Adventist World Radio. Through it, lives are 00:21:27.95\00:21:30.59 being touched and transformed for eternity. From Broadcast 00:21:30.69\00:21:34.09 to Baptism, this is AWR360. 00:21:34.19\00:21:38.36 - Amen. What an incredible story. You know, as I was 00:21:55.28\00:21:58.88 listening to that and watching that, it reminded 00:21:58.98\00:22:01.62 me that we read the stories in the Bible of 00:22:01.72\00:22:03.89 Jesus walking and healing the lame and raising the 00:22:03.99\00:22:07.49 dead, and we think, "Okay, that happened in Bible 00:22:07.59\00:22:09.36 times." But our God is just as alive and powerful 00:22:09.46\00:22:13.29 today! [Amen. That's right.] And to make 00:22:13.43\00:22:16.60 miracles. That is a miracle. That's an 00:22:16.67\00:22:19.03 incredible testimony. - For three years now. 00:22:19.13\00:22:21.50 [Go ahead.] - It reminds me of that verse that 00:22:21.60\00:22:25.74 says the battle is the Lord's, right? Sometimes, we try 00:22:25.84\00:22:29.28 to fight for ourselves. But when we trust in 00:22:29.38\00:22:31.45 God and have faith, pray, the battle is His! And when 00:22:31.51\00:22:35.88 we seek Him first, all these other things will be added 00:22:36.05\00:22:38.02 to us. - Amen. - So, you know, he sought 00:22:38.12\00:22:40.59 the Lord, he listened to AWR and God protected 00:22:40.69\00:22:43.12 his vegetables from those pigs. - Yes! And 30 other 00:22:43.22\00:22:46.03 people were baptized, right? Wasn't it 30 00:22:46.16\00:22:47.96 other people? - Yeah! Yeah. - Amen! - And 00:22:48.06\00:22:50.03 there'll be more. There'll be more. He's a missionary 00:22:50.13\00:22:52.20 now. - Amen. Amen. So, you went to Tanzania and 00:22:52.27\00:22:55.80 did all of these evangelistic series there? - Mhm. 00:22:55.94\00:22:58.44 - Yeah. Actually, we had 89-actually, more, I 00:22:58.51\00:23:00.98 think-but our producers come in. Now, Kathy and 00:23:01.08\00:23:03.51 I spent 10 years with missionaries in Africa, 00:23:03.58\00:23:05.31 so we know Africa, and I thought perhaps having 00:23:05.45\00:23:08.78 the producers come and preach, they would be 00:23:08.88\00:23:11.32 experienced evangelists. Most of them hadn't 00:23:11.42\00:23:14.02 preached before. One lady was so scared to death, 00:23:14.12\00:23:16.93 she said, "I can't do this. I cannot do this." 00:23:17.03\00:23:18.76 [laughter] But all of them preached. They 00:23:18.86\00:23:21.60 had life-changing experiences. 00:23:21.70\00:23:23.53 So excited about Broadcast to Baptism. It was life-changing 00:23:23.67\00:23:27.37 for our producers to learn to be better producers, 00:23:27.50\00:23:30.34 and also to learn that they can be evangelists on the 00:23:30.44\00:23:32.71 radios as they broadcast the messages about Jesus. 00:23:32.81\00:23:36.88 - Amen! Amen. - Yes. It's exciting that they 00:23:36.98\00:23:39.61 are embracing- we've heard reports across 00:23:39.71\00:23:41.58 Africa of how, really, our producers are loving 00:23:41.68\00:23:43.89 this Broadcast to Baptism motto, our theme, because 00:23:44.02\00:23:48.32 it's just making it so plain and practical, 00:23:48.42\00:23:51.13 and that's what we're doing. We're soul winners. 00:23:51.23\00:23:53.29 That's what Jesus wants us to be: soul winners! 00:23:53.36\00:23:55.66 - And I think the important thing is, you know, we're 00:23:55.76\00:23:57.83 not just creating radio programs to give information 00:23:57.93\00:24:00.64 good information. It's nice to give good information 00:24:00.74\00:24:04.14 about health or... You could even give good 00:24:04.27\00:24:06.41 information about the Bible. But as radio producers, 00:24:06.51\00:24:09.31 we want them to be soul winners. - Amen. - We 00:24:09.41\00:24:11.71 want them to call people to make decisions to follow 00:24:11.81\00:24:14.12 the Lord and to follow His truth. And so, that's why 00:24:14.22\00:24:16.52 this powerful combination of bringing them to do 00:24:16.65\00:24:18.82 evangelism, AWR360°, showing them the cycle, 00:24:18.89\00:24:22.06 and then sending them back to their countries where 00:24:22.16\00:24:24.26 they're now going to implement that in their 00:24:24.36\00:24:26.13 local context, in their language, to help win 00:24:26.23\00:24:28.50 more souls for Christ. - Amen. What an incredible motto. 00:24:28.60\00:24:31.57 - Yes. There's nothing quite like experiencing 00:24:31.60\00:24:33.54 it for yourself, having the Holy Spirit use 00:24:33.64\00:24:35.94 you, speak through you, to win people's souls. 00:24:36.04\00:24:39.21 And when you have caught that fire inside, it just... 00:24:39.27\00:24:43.24 - Yeah, it's a fire. - Yeah, it is. Then 00:24:43.31\00:24:44.75 when they go back, it's gonna come through the 00:24:44.85\00:24:46.61 radio broadcast. It's gonna come through the 00:24:46.68\00:24:48.48 communities and their churches, and it just 00:24:48.55\00:24:49.88 spreads. - Amen. - Like a wildfire. - It does, 00:24:49.92\00:24:51.75 amen. - Actually, one of our producers that 00:24:51.85\00:24:53.79 was there with us had come from a different country, 00:24:53.89\00:24:56.96 and he shared his story. It's absolutely incredible, 00:24:57.06\00:24:59.96 Cami. - Yes. You know, God really protects our 00:25:00.10\00:25:02.73 precious producers around the world. And this story 00:25:02.80\00:25:05.63 that we're about to show you on video is just one 00:25:05.73\00:25:08.27 of the stories, and it's powerful. I tell you- 00:25:08.37\00:25:10.74 let's please keep our radio producers in our 00:25:10.84\00:25:13.81 prayers. They need it, because their lives are 00:25:13.91\00:25:16.08 at stake in many of the countries that they broadcast 00:25:16.18\00:25:18.21 in. - Oh, wow... - And this is one of those stories. 00:25:18.31\00:25:20.88 - Let's take a look at that story now. Before 00:25:21.85\00:25:23.75 we go to that video, though, tell me how many 00:25:23.79\00:25:25.92 producers do you have? Do you even know... 00:25:25.99\00:25:28.62 - We have 120 in Africa, about. We have 89 of 00:25:28.72\00:25:32.23 them that came for the special event. Some of 00:25:32.33\00:25:35.66 the rest had other conflicting schedules, and they said, 00:25:35.80\00:25:38.53 "Please, do it again! Or next year! We want to 00:25:38.60\00:25:41.47 go to Papua New Guinea with you!" [laughter] 00:25:41.57\00:25:44.01 - Okay! This is a picture- - That is. That was a picture 00:25:44.11\00:25:45.97 of the producers that came to Tanzania and actually 00:25:46.07\00:25:48.64 did their own evangelistic series. - Okay. So the video 00:25:48.74\00:25:51.61 we're going to see now is one of the producers 00:25:51.75\00:25:53.52 here from that 120. Let's take a look at that video now. 00:25:53.62\00:25:56.72 - Come with me to the continent of Africa where 00:26:00.16\00:26:02.46 one of our faithful radio producers has 00:26:02.56\00:26:04.99 sacrificed so much to reach his fellow countrymen 00:26:05.09\00:26:07.90 for Jesus. Hi, I'm Cami, and this is AWR360°. 00:26:08.00\00:26:13.37 - It was late one afternoon as I closed the door to my 00:26:37.19\00:26:39.86 office at the AWR station. I would be gone for several days. 00:26:39.96\00:26:43.77 - As Assad boarded the bus, nothing seemed 00:26:55.48\00:26:57.91 unusual. It was like any other day-only today, 00:26:58.01\00:27:02.22 he was traveling farther- this time, returning home 00:27:02.32\00:27:05.85 for a short visit. Despite religious persecution in 00:27:05.95\00:27:10.19 his country of birth, Assad longed for his people to 00:27:10.29\00:27:13.43 know Jesus...and this spurred him on. All 00:27:13.53\00:27:18.10 of a sudden, Assad's thoughts were 00:27:18.17\00:27:20.04 interrupted. [suspenseful music] 00:27:20.14\00:27:27.78 - I cringed as they reached for me, too, and then 00:27:38.52\00:27:41.26 to my horror, yelled, "This is the man we 00:27:41.36\00:27:43.93 are looking for!" 00:27:43.99\00:27:46.29 They said they knew of my work with the radio 00:27:49.53\00:27:51.27 and wanted my contracts. Unsatisfied with the answers 00:27:51.37\00:27:55.87 I gave, they threw me into a large, empty container. 00:27:55.97\00:27:59.04 - Shut out from fresh air and sunshine, he 00:28:07.82\00:28:10.82 sat in darkness. His socks, shoes, and jacket 00:28:10.92\00:28:14.52 were taken, and Assad suffered from the extreme 00:28:14.62\00:28:17.59 conditions. As the sun beat down in the day, 00:28:17.66\00:28:21.26 the metal container intensified the heat...while at night, 00:28:21.40\00:28:26.20 a sharp chill sat in. 00:28:26.80\00:28:29.70 Without food or water, Assad soon fell very sick. 00:28:32.37\00:28:36.64 - As I sat in the dark isolation of the container, 00:28:38.68\00:28:41.25 my mind went back to my childhood. Scenes 00:28:41.35\00:28:45.79 of my village being raided by night flashed before me. 00:28:45.89\00:28:49.42 Those men had worn masks, too. 00:28:56.70\00:28:59.63 [screaming] 00:29:01.94\00:29:03.34 Somehow, I escaped, though, and I ran with all my might. 00:29:03.64\00:29:06.57 Alone in the darkness, I wondered for the 00:29:09.41\00:29:11.51 first time, "What would become of me?" 00:29:11.61\00:29:14.15 - Assad's mind lingers on the memories. It 00:29:18.85\00:29:22.12 was the orphanage he was taken to and the boys that 00:29:22.22\00:29:24.99 introduced him to Adventist World Radio. They huddled 00:29:25.09\00:29:29.60 together, listening, knowing that if caught, punishment 00:29:29.70\00:29:33.44 would ensue. Christianity was not allowed here... 00:29:33.50\00:29:38.27 but this only made them long all the more for the 00:29:38.41\00:29:41.48 truth. 00:29:41.54\00:29:43.71 Then there was that day when the orphanage director 00:29:45.21\00:29:47.75 had called him into her office. Assad was old 00:29:47.85\00:29:51.69 enough now, and he must leave the orphanage. 00:29:51.79\00:29:55.02 His heart ached as he walked away, never to 00:30:03.43\00:30:06.27 return. Again, he wondered, "What will become of me?" 00:30:06.40\00:30:10.54 Now, he sat alone in a metal shipping container, 00:30:12.87\00:30:15.94 pondering this same question he had as a lonely child and 00:30:16.04\00:30:19.61 dejected orphan. Assad closed his eyes and thought about 00:30:19.75\00:30:24.02 his work with Adventist World Radio. Since escaping 00:30:24.15\00:30:27.89 his home country, Assad had been producing Adventist 00:30:28.02\00:30:31.13 Radio programs in his native tongue for his people back 00:30:31.23\00:30:34.06 home. Christianity was forbidden in his country- 00:30:34.20\00:30:37.53 but the radio could carry the message that missionaries 00:30:37.63\00:30:41.70 could not. 00:30:41.80\00:30:43.34 - I wondered, "What would become of my radio program 00:30:52.21\00:30:55.02 now? Who would carry on the work if I didn't 00:30:55.12\00:30:58.39 return?" - The days and weeks passed. 00:30:58.49\00:31:03.36 Assad was released from the container, but the inhumane 00:31:03.69\00:31:07.23 conditions remained. Starved, beaten, and 00:31:07.30\00:31:10.63 even electrocuted, he had endured more than 00:31:10.70\00:31:14.14 any human should. - One day, without 00:31:14.24\00:31:19.17 notice, my hands were unbound, and I was told 00:31:19.31\00:31:22.68 I could return home. I could hardly believe 00:31:22.78\00:31:26.61 it! I was free! I was praising the Lord as 00:31:26.72\00:31:30.75 I boarded a bus again, this time headed home 00:31:30.85\00:31:34.26 to my family and my work at the radio station. 00:31:34.36\00:31:36.99 - Despite the? experience Assad has been through, 00:31:40.20\00:31:43.00 he faithfully continues his work with AWR, producing 00:31:43.10\00:31:47.27 messages of hope and truth for his home country. 00:31:47.37\00:31:50.41 Assad trusts the Lord to keep him safe and knows 00:31:51.11\00:31:54.54 that as long as God wants him to be producing these 00:31:54.64\00:31:57.21 programs, nothing can stop him. 00:31:57.31\00:32:00.15 - There are many others like Assad who have 00:32:05.29\00:32:07.09 suffered great persecution to share their faith, and 00:32:07.22\00:32:10.63 yet there are many more who still need to hear about 00:32:10.73\00:32:13.23 Jesus. Please pray for these precious souls, and 00:32:13.33\00:32:16.36 consider helping to further the work of Adventist World 00:32:16.46\00:32:19.10 Radio around the world by donating today. Together, 00:32:19.20\00:32:22.87 from Broadcast to Baptism, this is AWR360°. 00:32:22.94\00:32:27.88 - Wow. That's an amazing story. His faithfulness to 00:32:44.49\00:32:49.06 God even under persecution. So, I know Assad is not his 00:32:49.16\00:32:53.94 real name, and I saw the little disclaimer at the 00:32:54.04\00:32:56.81 beginning that the pictures we saw and the people, 00:32:57.01\00:33:00.74 the reenactment of it- none of those have any 00:33:00.88\00:33:03.24 relation to him, 'cause you're trying to protect 00:33:03.31\00:33:04.65 his identity. - That is correct. - But did he go 00:33:04.71\00:33:06.82 to another country afterward, or...? - Yes, yes. - To try to 00:33:06.92\00:33:10.09 protect himself? - Yes, and they've tried to kill 00:33:10.19\00:33:12.02 him two other times since then. - Even recently. So, 00:33:12.12\00:33:15.22 we protect his identity. - He's very careful. - Oh, 00:33:15.32\00:33:19.56 wow. I just want to say to you at home: let's join 00:33:19.66\00:33:21.53 AWR and the team here in praying for Assad. The 00:33:21.63\00:33:25.43 Lord knows his name, the Lord has it engraven on the 00:33:25.53\00:33:28.27 palm of His hand, and the Lord can put His protection 00:33:28.37\00:33:31.54 over him. And not just Assad, but I imagine there's 00:33:31.61\00:33:34.21 a lot of people who are enduring that persecution 00:33:34.31\00:33:37.45 or trying to spread the gospel in closed countries, 00:33:37.51\00:33:40.42 so we want to pray for them. Yeah. Now, let's 00:33:40.55\00:33:43.59 move from Tanzania to Zambia! You all have done work in 00:33:43.69\00:33:48.22 Zambia. Tell us about that. - Oh, my. Zambia's 00:33:48.32\00:33:50.03 been such a thrilling experience. The videos 00:33:50.09\00:33:52.96 that you will see that are coming up are 00:33:53.09\00:33:55.30 absolutely incredible. There are thousands of 00:33:55.43\00:33:58.67 people that were baptized. Just a year ago, we went 00:33:58.73\00:34:01.30 there, and we were told we came the wrong time 00:34:01.40\00:34:03.20 of the year. Nobody would be baptized because it's 00:34:03.30\00:34:05.64 cold. Actually, it WAS cold. - Was it cold? - Kyle preached, 00:34:05.74\00:34:09.78 so Cami did the video and we were there, all of 00:34:09.91\00:34:12.65 us were there... We would go to these 00:34:12.75\00:34:14.25 meetings, and they would get the little... What are 00:34:14.32\00:34:16.62 they called,? - Well, that's what we 00:34:16.72\00:34:18.49 call them in?. - Yeah, they're little charcoal 00:34:18.59\00:34:20.56 burners, and little families would get around 00:34:20.62\00:34:22.12 the charcoal burners to stay warm and say, "Listen 00:34:22.22\00:34:24.13 to the sermon." [laughter] It was kind of amusing, 00:34:24.23\00:34:26.70 but they were so committed to keep coming and coming. 00:34:26.80\00:34:29.43 We'd broadcast and broadcast and broadcast three months 00:34:29.53\00:34:32.83 before, then we continued afterwards, and then we 00:34:32.93\00:34:35.20 had all these people. I think we said...is it 00:34:35.30\00:34:38.01 80%? - 80%. 80%? - From the radio. - Of the people that 00:34:38.11\00:34:42.21 came was from the radio. And you know, the amazing 00:34:42.31\00:34:44.08 thing was x2, they were talking about how it was 00:34:44.15\00:34:46.25 too cold and all this. But as the meetings progressed, 00:34:46.38\00:34:48.58 more people came! They just- more people came! 00:34:48.68\00:34:51.65 And they came in their big jackets and blankets 00:34:51.75\00:34:53.22 'cause it was cold, but they were being warmed 00:34:53.36\00:34:56.83 by the Word of God. - Amen. - And then the result was 00:34:56.93\00:35:00.10 just tremendous what God did. - That's right. 00:35:00.23\00:35:02.13 And actually, we have a visual of the results, which 00:35:02.20\00:35:05.17 is pretty incredible. We want to show you 00:35:05.27\00:35:06.87 so that your eyes can take it in. It's actually rather 00:35:06.97\00:35:09.64 shocking, the results of that final day. - It's 00:35:09.74\00:35:14.48 not shocking; it's unbelievable. - I know, 00:35:14.61\00:35:16.64 right!? Well, it's a miracle! - Miraculous. 00:35:16.75\00:35:19.01 - Miraculous. I like that. - Here's the thing that 00:35:19.11\00:35:21.35 the union officers said to us. We said that 00:35:21.45\00:35:26.09 June was too cold. But they said, "We know now 00:35:26.19\00:35:30.86 that God is a god of all seasons. He will work 00:35:30.96\00:35:34.06 cold, warm-whenever." So they said, "You come 00:35:34.20\00:35:39.33 any time of the year." [laughter] - And I will 00:35:39.43\00:35:42.50 tell you, I have never been so cold as standing 00:35:42.60\00:35:44.64 in that pool (which you'll see in a moment). Two 00:35:44.74\00:35:47.21 hours-Duane-two hours in the waters, baptizing. 00:35:47.34\00:35:50.55 And we're not- this isn't a long, lengthy, each 00:35:50.68\00:35:52.28 person... We're talking, you know, 15-20 seconds 00:35:52.38\00:35:54.85 each person... 30-something pastors, and they're baptizing 00:35:54.95\00:35:57.52 for two hours. I was shaking, I was so cold! 00:35:57.59\00:36:00.26 But it was so exc- I've never been so excited, 00:36:00.36\00:36:02.19 and all the people were so happy. You will be 00:36:02.26\00:36:04.49 excited as you see are the pictures of that 00:36:04.59\00:36:07.13 baptism. - So we're talking a lot of baptisms here! 00:36:07.23\00:36:09.36 [agreement] Okay. - And the water went from blue 00:36:09.46\00:36:11.03 to dark brown. - Oh, yeah. [laughter] - 'Cause so many 00:36:11.17\00:36:15.04 people were getting baptized. - Okay. Well, let's take a 00:36:15.14\00:36:17.41 look at that video here, and then we can talk 00:36:17.51\00:36:19.34 about it a bit more. - Yes. 00:36:19.41\00:36:20.91 Welcome to Zambia, a land filled with rugged 00:36:23.81\00:36:26.38 mountains, abundant wildlife, and many people 00:36:26.48\00:36:29.62 searching for Christ. God is at work in this 00:36:29.72\00:36:32.49 land, and we are excited to see how lives are being 00:36:32.55\00:36:35.92 transformed through the radio. 1,070 evangelistic 00:36:35.99\00:36:40.66 campaigns have been held across Zambia and the 00:36:40.76\00:36:43.40 surrounding region. God blessed, and it was a huge 00:36:43.50\00:36:46.70 success. People came by the thousands. After the 00:36:46.80\00:36:50.71 meetings, almost 18,000 people were baptized, and 00:36:50.81\00:36:54.08 more than 80% of those baptisms came from listening 00:36:54.21\00:36:57.68 to Adventist World Radio. Hi. I'm Cami, and this is 00:36:57.78\00:37:02.08 AWR360°. 00:37:02.18\00:37:05.09 - We're here in Lusaka, Zambia for the Zambia 00:37:18.60\00:37:20.57 for Christ 2018 meetings, and we have an incredible 00:37:20.67\00:37:24.34 team of evangelists that have come from all over the 00:37:24.44\00:37:28.21 world, really. United States- and then particularly, Europe. 00:37:28.34\00:37:31.78 We have a lot of people that have come from 00:37:31.88\00:37:33.62 the European continent who have come to Africa 00:37:33.72\00:37:37.25 because they want to share the love of Christ 00:37:37.35\00:37:40.36 with the people here. - Adventist World Radio 00:37:40.46\00:37:42.89 has been broadcasting in Zambia since 2004. But 00:37:42.99\00:37:46.93 just before the evangelistic series, we began a special 00:37:47.03\00:37:50.33 emphasis. - Three months before we got here, we 00:37:50.43\00:37:54.00 started broadcasting on a daily basis the 00:37:54.07\00:37:56.44 prophetic message-the same message that we're 00:37:56.57\00:37:58.94 presenting night after night here on our 00:37:59.04\00:38:01.48 evangelistic crusades. The results are showing, 00:38:01.58\00:38:04.88 because we're finding people who have listened 00:38:04.98\00:38:06.98 to the radio and they're coming to our meetings, 00:38:07.08\00:38:09.25 and they're accepting Jesus because of it. 00:38:09.35\00:38:12.25 - Just over a year ago, I was in Lusaka with Bob, 00:38:12.35\00:38:14.89 Peck, and Kathy, and we were talking together- 00:38:14.99\00:38:17.49 talking with all the pastors in the city of Lusaka. They 00:38:17.59\00:38:20.93 said to me, "We listened to a thousand meetings!" 00:38:21.03\00:38:23.26 [chuckles] So, a thousand evangelistic meetings all 00:38:23.37\00:38:25.97 in one city all at one time. That's the first; 00:38:26.07\00:38:29.24 that's the first time in the history of the 00:38:29.34\00:38:31.27 Adventist church that so many meetings will 00:38:31.34\00:38:32.97 be held and that have been held now. 00:38:33.07\00:38:34.94 - Before Zambia for Christ began, AWR 00:38:37.55\00:38:40.38 broadcasters would ask the listeners a question 00:38:40.48\00:38:43.08 of the day. This was based on the message 00:38:43.15\00:38:45.59 that was presented the day before. Every day, 00:38:45.65\00:38:48.26 one man named Mr. Wika would call in with an answer 00:38:48.36\00:38:51.86 or to ask a question of his own. We found out 00:38:51.93\00:38:55.46 more about this man, and it turns out that 00:38:55.56\00:38:57.90 he runs a small business repairing furniture. And 00:38:58.00\00:39:00.97 every day, he stops his work early so his employees 00:39:01.07\00:39:04.04 can listen to the AWR message. AWR has not 00:39:04.14\00:39:08.78 only reached the countryside but has also penetrated 00:39:08.91\00:39:11.95 through prison walls. After listening to AWR 00:39:12.05\00:39:15.42 on the radio, nearly 900 inmates in Zambia's 00:39:15.52\00:39:19.55 maximum security prison have been baptized. 00:39:19.65\00:39:23.02 In a nearby town, a lady had a dream- 00:39:30.10\00:39:32.70 and in this dream, she saw a small radio. Later 00:39:33.20\00:39:36.87 that very day, her husband brought home the same 00:39:36.97\00:39:39.77 radio she had seen in her dream! When they 00:39:39.87\00:39:42.84 turned it on, AWR was the only channel that 00:39:42.98\00:39:46.01 they could tune in no matter where they set 00:39:46.15\00:39:48.32 the dial! As they listened, God's love transformed 00:39:48.42\00:39:51.95 their home-and today, they are both members 00:39:52.05\00:39:55.29 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:39:55.39\00:39:57.66 The speakers here are becoming part of stories 00:40:00.46\00:40:02.66 like these on a daily basis. The Lord is 00:40:02.76\00:40:05.60 using them in a mighty and powerful way. 00:40:05.70\00:40:08.47 - I was struggling to give the sermon about 00:40:09.84\00:40:13.41 health on Sabbath, because I thought the people I'm 00:40:13.51\00:40:17.98 approaching, they know everything. So I spoke 00:40:18.08\00:40:20.68 about tobacco, I spoke about alcohol, I spoke 00:40:20.78\00:40:23.05 about clean and unclean... And when I did a baptism 00:40:23.15\00:40:25.25 call, the first person who came up was known by 00:40:25.35\00:40:28.86 the community as being someone who was really addicted to 00:40:28.96\00:40:32.19 tobacco and had a huge alcohol problem. - There 00:40:32.29\00:40:36.10 is a surprising, amazing lesson I've learned in 00:40:36.23\00:40:39.23 Zambia, and that is when I return home and wherever 00:40:39.30\00:40:43.27 I'm gonna go to preach, I will end all my sermons 00:40:43.34\00:40:46.34 with an appeal. There are many people that 00:40:46.44\00:40:48.44 want to give their life to Jesus, but somebody 00:40:48.54\00:40:50.38 has to challenge them to do so. - On the fourth 00:40:50.51\00:40:52.81 evening of our meetings, an old lady came. She 00:40:52.91\00:40:56.45 said to me, "I had a dream before the crusade started. 00:40:56.58\00:41:00.66 I had a dream-and in my dream, I heard a voice 00:41:00.76\00:41:03.19 calling me. Now, I didn't see the face, but I could 00:41:03.29\00:41:05.86 hear it was a lady's voice." And when she 00:41:05.93\00:41:08.33 came on the crusade and she heard me, she said, 00:41:08.43\00:41:11.77 "This is the voice!" She recognized the voice from 00:41:11.87\00:41:14.40 her dream. So she said, "I know that God has 00:41:14.50\00:41:16.57 called me to the meetings." - When I see people putting 00:41:16.67\00:41:20.41 up their hands or giving their lives or wanting to 00:41:20.51\00:41:23.41 give their lives to Christ, it gives you a feeling that 00:41:23.48\00:41:26.68 is literally undescribable. It's an amazing feeling. 00:41:26.75\00:41:30.75 And you know, it's not necessarily you-it's 00:41:31.15\00:41:33.76 Christ working through you. And that feeling of Christ 00:41:33.86\00:41:37.03 working through you is amazing. 00:41:37.09\00:41:38.93 - On the last Sabbath, all of the meeting sites 00:41:40.76\00:41:42.10 converged together for one mass baptism. 17,968 00:41:42.13\00:41:49.47 people, giving their lives to the Lord, 00:41:49.60\00:41:51.47 walking into the depths of the water, and coming 00:41:51.54\00:41:53.64 out new. We are told that 80% of those being 00:41:53.71\00:41:57.45 baptized here today came from listening to Adventist 00:41:57.55\00:42:00.98 World Radio. 00:42:01.08\00:42:02.42 - We really need your help to help us keep 00:42:06.45\00:42:08.79 the radio broadcasting after these meetings, 00:42:08.86\00:42:11.69 whether it's in Rwanda or Romania or here in 00:42:11.83\00:42:13.90 Zambia because-you see- the members came to the 00:42:14.00\00:42:17.57 meetings because they'd heard the message on the 00:42:17.67\00:42:19.63 radio! They got excited about the health messages, 00:42:19.73\00:42:22.07 about the Adventist prophetic messages. And then, after 00:42:22.17\00:42:24.94 they're baptized, they go back to their houses, 00:42:25.07\00:42:27.08 and they still have their radios! And so, we still 00:42:27.14\00:42:29.54 need to continue to broadcast. It's not 00:42:29.64\00:42:31.51 cheap; it does cost a lot of money, but we need 00:42:31.61\00:42:34.28 to keep the broadcast going so that they'll 00:42:34.35\00:42:36.69 listen to the message over and over again. 00:42:36.79\00:42:38.89 Thank you so much for your support for Adventist 00:42:38.99\00:42:41.02 World Radio, AWR360° Broadcast to Baptism, 00:42:41.09\00:42:45.26 as we continue to broadcast, connecting people with Jesus, 00:42:45.36\00:42:48.33 training them through the AWR360° Total Member 00:42:48.46\00:42:51.37 Involvement concept to witness for Jesus, live 00:42:51.47\00:42:54.77 for Jesus, listen and learn and study as 00:42:54.84\00:42:57.34 they share the good news of Christ's soon return 00:42:57.41\00:43:00.58 with their friends and neighbors so this work 00:43:00.64\00:43:01.98 can be finished and Jesus will come. 00:43:02.01\00:43:03.68 - Amen! As we say here, that is a two-hander! 00:43:32.21\00:43:35.78 Praise the Lord for almost 18,000 baptisms! And what 00:43:35.88\00:43:41.28 I loved as I watched that was not only the people's 00:43:41.38\00:43:43.35 lives who were impacted, who came to the meetings, 00:43:43.45\00:43:46.05 but the people who preached were impacted, 00:43:46.15\00:43:49.06 as well. It works both ways! What an amazing 00:43:49.16\00:43:51.69 experience. - Yeah, we brought a number of 00:43:51.79\00:43:53.13 Europeans. The European ASI president and others came- 00:43:53.16\00:43:56.20 pastors and laypeople and young people... - And they go 00:43:56.30\00:44:00.14 back on fire!-because our message is so beautiful- 00:44:00.24\00:44:03.04 the Adventist message. It just... You can't help 00:44:03.10\00:44:05.94 but share it because it's so wonderful. - Yeah, 00:44:06.04\00:44:08.74 it really does change our lives. We've had 00:44:08.84\00:44:10.18 several occasions where a young person has come, 00:44:10.25\00:44:12.25 maybe unsure of their faith or unsure of, you 00:44:12.35\00:44:14.62 know, what they truly believe in, and then they 00:44:14.78\00:44:17.45 preach the message of hope and salvation in 00:44:17.55\00:44:20.56 Jesus and all of our Seventh-day Adventist 00:44:20.66\00:44:22.66 end time message, and they just become so 00:44:22.72\00:44:25.96 committed and say afterwards, "This changed my life." 00:44:26.06\00:44:28.73 So, this is happening in young and old; it doesn't 00:44:28.86\00:44:31.67 matter. - Even people who thought they could 00:44:31.73\00:44:33.90 never speak, by God's grace, they had an 00:44:34.00\00:44:36.20 opportunity to speak- changed their life. They 00:44:36.30\00:44:38.44 saw God... - Deepens your faith. - Yes. They 00:44:38.54\00:44:40.44 saw God use them, and then it's just a miracle 00:44:40.51\00:44:43.04 what God can do. - All of our AWR staff-all 00:44:43.14\00:44:45.51 of these-had done evangelistic meetings 00:44:45.61\00:44:47.88 like this. They had this life-changing experience. 00:44:47.98\00:44:50.19 Most of our staff. And actually, if somebody's 00:44:50.29\00:44:54.06 from 3ABN, Jill, would want to come and join 00:44:54.12\00:44:56.22 us in Papua New Guinea next year, you're welcome! 00:44:56.29\00:44:58.79 [laughter] - Amen! - Thank you! I would love to come 00:44:58.89\00:45:02.06 preach for a series. I mean, that would just 00:45:02.16\00:45:04.37 be life-changing, you know? But thank you 00:45:04.47\00:45:06.84 for the invitation. - The emphasis will be 00:45:06.90\00:45:08.67 on PNG next year. In May 1, meetings begin, 00:45:08.80\00:45:14.48 and they go for two weeks. - This is 2020 we're talking 00:45:14.58\00:45:17.55 about. - Uh-huh! - 2020. - Yup. - That's the emphasis 00:45:17.65\00:45:20.55 of the General Conference. - Yes. - And AWR. - That's 00:45:20.62\00:45:23.79 right. So if you're interested, go to AWR.org 00:45:23.95\00:45:26.35 to keep up with the information that we 00:45:26.45\00:45:27.89 will be releasing about how you can get involved. 00:45:27.99\00:45:30.63 - We would love to have you come and preach... 00:45:30.73\00:45:32.79 And you may not think yourself a preacher, but 00:45:32.89\00:45:35.03 Kathy, we've seen a lot of people...right? - I mean, 00:45:35.13\00:45:38.97 thousands of people whose lives are totally changed. 00:45:39.10\00:45:43.61 It takes you up out of your comfort zone, 00:45:43.67\00:45:46.91 and you realize that it's not about you, but it's 00:45:47.01\00:45:50.78 about God. He can work in and through you and 00:45:50.91\00:45:53.05 expand your territory. Yeah. - Amen. - So come 00:45:53.15\00:45:58.49 to Papua New Guinea, preach, be a part of 00:45:58.55\00:46:00.06 our AWR360° Medical Clinic. - That'll be before. - Yes. 00:46:00.16\00:46:04.89 They are so excited there. We have a few pictures of 00:46:04.99\00:46:07.03 the crowds that gather when Duane and Kathy 00:46:07.16\00:46:08.93 and Sue and Ray went to go and... - Oh, wow. - It 00:46:09.00\00:46:13.54 was phenomenal. - The back of those shirts 00:46:13.67\00:46:15.60 says, "Soul-willing is our business." - Amen! 00:46:15.70\00:46:18.81 already in a baptismal 00:46:20.24\00:46:23.48 class. - Wow. - In PNG. - In PNG. - Yeah. They'll 00:46:23.58\00:46:27.35 have 3,000 evangelistic meetings, and they are 00:46:27.45\00:46:30.55 praying. And in Rwanda, the Lord blessed in a 00:46:30.69\00:46:33.09 marvelous way with 100,000 baptisms with that TMI 00:46:33.15\00:46:36.56 project and AWR there. - Wow. - In Rwanda. Now 00:46:36.66\00:46:40.10 they're saying, "If Rwanda did it, we can, with God's 00:46:40.20\00:46:43.03 blessings"... They're praying for... - Well, more than 00:46:43.13\00:46:47.87 100,000... - More than 200,000 baptisms. And 00:46:47.97\00:46:51.71 we said, "This is never gonna happen." I said, 00:46:51.81\00:46:53.31 "Yeah, but it's never gonna happen." And then they 00:46:53.41\00:46:55.14 said... - Those are dangerous words to say, 00:46:55.24\00:46:56.58 Duane. - That's right! With God, nothing is 00:46:56.61\00:46:59.01 impossible. [laughter] - And then they told us, 00:46:59.11\00:47:01.58 "Well, we already have 10,000 people in a baptismal 00:47:01.72\00:47:03.65 class." And they each one, before they can be 00:47:03.75\00:47:06.49 baptized next year- they're holding them 00:47:06.55\00:47:08.42 over-before they can be baptized, they have 00:47:08.52\00:47:10.66 to win 5-7 people themselves. - So, 10,000 times... 00:47:10.76\00:47:18.30 - This is incredible. We have one more video 00:47:18.40\00:47:20.54 roll I want to make sure we get in before our 00:47:20.60\00:47:22.14 time is up. So, let's take a look at that now. 00:47:22.24\00:47:24.81 - Madagascar is one of the poorest countries 00:47:26.74\00:47:29.04 in Southern Africa. But despite this, in 1996, 00:47:29.14\00:47:33.42 church leaders managed to step out in faith to 00:47:33.52\00:47:36.92 establish one of the very first first Seventh-day Adventist 00:47:37.02\00:47:40.26 FM stations in Africa. Today, there are more 00:47:40.36\00:47:43.56 than 22 FM stations covering the urban 00:47:43.63\00:47:46.56 areas-and this combined with two hours of daily 00:47:46.66\00:47:49.80 shortwave broadcasts to the more remote parts 00:47:49.90\00:47:52.27 of Madagascar has triggered the birth of over 40 churches. 00:47:52.33\00:47:56.24 With just a handful of paid staff and hundreds 00:47:56.97\00:47:59.21 of committed volunteers, God is using AWR in a 00:47:59.31\00:48:03.01 mighty way to proclaim the good news of Jesus' 00:48:03.08\00:48:05.78 love and His soon coming. 00:48:05.88\00:48:08.22 - I am in Madagascar, and this is AWR360°. 00:48:10.59\00:48:15.39 I used to hate the Adventists. 00:48:33.11\00:48:35.68 If they had evangelistic series, I would throw 00:48:37.91\00:48:39.75 stones on the roof. 00:48:39.88\00:48:42.25 - One day, Cihalavo? watched as many beautiful 00:48:53.73\00:48:56.46 young ladies walked into the Adventist meetings. 00:48:56.56\00:48:59.13 An idea popped into his head. "I need a 00:48:59.23\00:49:02.37 good wife," he thought. "Maybe I can find one here." 00:49:02.50\00:49:06.04 He entered the meeting, and sitting in the back, 00:49:11.31\00:49:13.38 surveyed his options. One girl stood out to him. 00:49:13.52\00:49:16.72 And after the meeting, he introduced himself. 00:49:16.85\00:49:19.35 [speaking in native tongue] - I didn't tell her about 00:49:19.49\00:49:22.19 my bad past, and I started praying to impress her. 00:49:22.29\00:49:26.16 We were married soon after. But instead of 00:49:26.29\00:49:29.46 marriage and a beautiful wife fixing my problems, 00:49:29.56\00:49:32.53 things got worse. - Cihalavo? had a criminal 00:49:32.60\00:49:36.14 record which caught up to him, and after being 00:49:36.24\00:49:39.44 found guilty of murder he was placed on the 00:49:39.54\00:49:42.44 Most Wanted list. Realizing his situation, 00:49:42.54\00:49:46.48 Cihalavo? fled to a remote forest. 00:49:46.58\00:49:50.32 He lived here for four years. 00:49:56.09\00:49:58.39 I was living like an animal in the woods. 00:50:01.60\00:50:03.80 I had made a mess of my life and felt like there 00:50:04.20\00:50:07.37 was no hope for me. - Like the prodigal son 00:50:07.47\00:50:13.14 who realized he had nothing to lose, Cihalavo? ventured 00:50:13.21\00:50:16.81 out of the forest. Knowing his family 00:50:16.91\00:50:18.95 had surely abandoned him, he went to the 00:50:19.05\00:50:21.78 Seventh-day Adventist Church. An elder met 00:50:21.88\00:50:24.35 him and assured? that his place was 00:50:24.45\00:50:26.86 in the church and he was always welcome. 00:50:26.92\00:50:29.69 These words brought a glimmer of hope to his 00:50:29.82\00:50:32.39 heart. - Though the church elder was very 00:50:32.49\00:50:36.06 welcoming, the other members avoided me. 00:50:36.16\00:50:39.10 My past began to haunt me again, and in fear 00:50:39.20\00:50:43.10 I returned to the woods. - But this time, Cihalavo? 00:50:43.17\00:50:53.01 took something with him to the woods-a radio. 00:50:53.11\00:50:57.45 This was his only connection to the outside world, and 00:50:59.95\00:51:02.79 he listened eagerly to different programs. 00:51:02.89\00:51:04.99 One day, he stumbled across an AWR broadcast. 00:51:15.04\00:51:17.87 The words stirred his soul, and he began to 00:51:19.91\00:51:22.74 fall in love with the Jesus who would 00:51:22.84\00:51:24.48 forgive a sinner like him. Excited about his new 00:51:24.58\00:51:32.22 friend Jesus, Cihalavo? began inviting other thieves 00:51:32.29\00:51:35.52 and criminals in the area to come and hear 00:51:35.59\00:51:37.66 the AWR programs, too. Convinced of their salvation 00:51:37.76\00:51:42.70 through the blood of Jesus, Cihalavo? and 15 other 00:51:42.80\00:51:47.07 ex-criminals came out of the woods and were 00:51:47.20\00:51:50.11 baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist 00:51:50.17\00:51:52.14 Church. - Together with my friends who 00:51:52.21\00:51:57.01 were once thieves, we built a church where 00:51:57.11\00:52:00.42 we'd all worship together on Sabbath. - Today, 00:52:00.55\00:52:07.46 Cihalavo? also leads out in a small group study 00:52:07.56\00:52:10.53 where they listen to AWR programs and pray together. 00:52:10.63\00:52:14.23 Cihalavo? preaches like John the Baptist wherever 00:52:18.43\00:52:21.40 he goes and is often called "Apostle" by 00:52:21.50\00:52:24.51 those who know him. - AWR changed my life. 00:52:24.61\00:52:30.11 Through it, I found forgiveness and hope. 00:52:30.61\00:52:33.52 - Thank you so much for your support of 00:52:37.92\00:52:39.69 Adventist World Radio. Truly, great things are 00:52:39.75\00:52:42.89 happening even in the remotest parts of the 00:52:42.99\00:52:45.13 earth. - And together, we are making waves 00:52:45.19\00:52:47.70 from broadcast to baptism. [Together:] This is AWR360°. 00:52:47.80\00:52:54.20 - Amen. What an incredible story of people who are 00:53:11.82\00:53:15.89 outcast by society, but the Lord Jesus reached 00:53:15.99\00:53:18.96 their hearts through the ministry of AWR. - Wow. 00:53:19.03\00:53:21.36 Amen. [Amen.] - And that happened in Madagascar. 00:53:21.46\00:53:23.26 - That's in Madagascar, yes. And that's just 00:53:23.37\00:53:25.77 one of the stories that came out of Madagascar. 00:53:25.83\00:53:28.70 We have several including a witch who was dedicated 00:53:28.80\00:53:32.77 as a child and was brought up in witchcraft, and she 00:53:32.87\00:53:36.08 became supremely powerful across all of 00:53:36.18\00:53:39.11 Madagascar; became very wealthy. She would be 00:53:39.21\00:53:41.48 paid by different groups to protect their cows, 00:53:41.55\00:53:45.75 because of the thieves, cow thieves would come, 00:53:45.85\00:53:48.42 and she could even stop their bullets in midair- 00:53:48.52\00:53:51.36 yeah. To protect- it's crazy stuff. Yes. 00:53:51.43\00:53:54.13 And we met with all of her and the church members 00:53:54.23\00:53:57.33 that have witnessed her change, because she would 00:53:57.43\00:54:00.87 even dive down to the bottom of the sea to 00:54:00.97\00:54:02.97 commune with the devil. I mean, things like this. 00:54:03.07\00:54:05.27 So now, she listens to AWR; her whole life's 00:54:05.37\00:54:07.31 changing. Now, she's a missionary for Madagascar 00:54:07.41\00:54:08.88 and has many churches that she... - Amen! Amen. - Yes! 00:54:08.94\00:54:11.28 Amen. There's many stories like that. - Amen. What we 00:54:11.35\00:54:13.88 want to do right now is put up the contact 00:54:13.95\00:54:15.35 information for AWR. We encourage you to 00:54:15.45\00:54:18.62 pray for this ministry to financially support it. 00:54:18.69\00:54:22.09 They send out-if you like these videos-they 00:54:22.19\00:54:24.86 send out weekly emails with news and updates 00:54:24.93\00:54:27.36 and reports. Here's how you can do just that. 00:54:32.33\00:54:36.57 - Amen! This has been a power-packed interview 00:55:25.42\00:55:27.69 with the stories of lives that have been changed 00:55:27.76\00:55:29.92 for eternity through the ministry of AWR. We just 00:55:29.99\00:55:34.26 have a couple moments left in this program. 00:55:34.33\00:55:36.40 Cami, you want to give us a final thought or appeal? 00:55:36.46\00:55:38.63 - Yes, I would love to. You know, God is coming- 00:55:38.73\00:55:42.77 He's coming soon, and we see His miracles 00:55:42.87\00:55:45.27 happening all over this world through AWR. And 00:55:45.37\00:55:48.84 just as we've shared the stories today of faith and 00:55:48.94\00:55:51.65 protection and provision that God does give each 00:55:51.75\00:55:55.48 one of His children that ask, those that believe 00:55:55.62\00:55:58.42 in Jesus, have salvation just there ready for them, 00:55:58.52\00:56:02.49 and the world needs to know this. They're hungering 00:56:02.59\00:56:03.96 for this truth. And with AWR, we can share that 00:56:04.06\00:56:06.53 through so many venues. Through, obviously, our 00:56:06.63\00:56:09.93 AM/FM, but shortwave, and we have our social 00:56:10.03\00:56:13.23 media. And we have stories that come in every week! 00:56:13.34\00:56:16.87 And if you liked these videos and you want to 00:56:16.97\00:56:19.64 share them-perhaps you want to use them for, like, 00:56:19.74\00:56:21.54 your family worship. Maybe you want to use 00:56:21.64\00:56:23.35 it as a mission spotlight in your church or Pathfinder 00:56:23.41\00:56:25.41 group. Well, 00:56:45.03\00:56:46.70 God is still writing the Bible, so to speak, 00:56:46.84\00:56:49.50 right now because all of these characters 00:56:49.57\00:56:50.94 are still carrying the message and doing the 00:56:51.04\00:56:52.74 end time work!
