I want to spend my life 00:00:01.60\00:00:06.80 Mending broken people 00:00:07.40\00:00:12.27 I want to spend my life 00:00:12.34\00:00:17.91 Removing pain 00:00:18.65\00:00:23.18 Lord, let my words 00:00:23.82\00:00:28.76 Heal a heart that hurts 00:00:30.03\00:00:33.96 I want to spend my life 00:00:34.46\00:00:39.37 Mending broken people 00:00:40.30\00:00:44.74 I want to spend my life 00:00:45.67\00:00:50.55 Mending broken people 00:00:51.28\00:00:56.05 - Hello and welcome to another 3ABN Today program. 00:01:10.07\00:01:12.73 My name is Jill Morikone, and we're so excited that 00:01:12.87\00:01:15.07 you have taken time from your day to spend with us. 00:01:15.17\00:01:18.57 Know that we consider you a part of the 3ABN family, 00:01:18.67\00:01:22.51 that we love you, that we pray for you, and 00:01:22.61\00:01:25.45 that we're so grateful for your prayers and 00:01:25.55\00:01:27.88 financial support of this ministry. Because of your 00:01:27.98\00:01:31.05 support, we can bring you programs like what 00:01:31.15\00:01:33.59 we're bringing you today- ministries that have changed 00:01:33.69\00:01:37.09 lives around the world. I love the Today program, 00:01:37.19\00:01:40.66 because we feature testimonies of changed lives, and today 00:01:40.76\00:01:43.77 is no exception. We have with us from-friends and 00:01:43.87\00:01:48.17 family-from down under. I'm speaking of 3ABN 00:01:48.24\00:01:52.44 Australia. Greg and I had the privilege to 00:01:52.57\00:01:55.01 travel there a few months ago. And just to get a 00:01:55.14\00:01:58.55 sneak peek-a glimpse, as it were-into what God 00:01:58.71\00:02:03.12 is doing in the ministry. John Malkiewycz, of 00:02:03.22\00:02:06.69 course, is the general manager of 3ABN Australia, 00:02:06.82\00:02:09.32 and we have with us on the set, not John, but his lovely 00:02:09.42\00:02:13.50 wife Rosemary who's the assistant to the general 00:02:13.60\00:02:16.40 manager. I just consider that you and John work 00:02:16.50\00:02:19.17 together there in the leadership of 3ABN 00:02:19.23\00:02:22.30 Australia. But we are so grateful that you made 00:02:22.40\00:02:25.67 the trip! And sitting next to you is your 00:02:25.77\00:02:28.21 son, James Hope. And James, we're so excited to have 00:02:28.34\00:02:32.25 you here, as well. You are 3ABN Australia production 00:02:32.35\00:02:35.45 and IT coordinator. Did I get that? - Yes. - Now 00:02:35.55\00:02:39.19 have you been here before, James? - I have. 12 years ago, 00:02:39.25\00:02:41.82 actually. I wanted to come for camp meeting, but I missed 00:02:41.92\00:02:46.29 it. But I made it finally this time, as well. - And 00:02:46.39\00:02:51.43 we are so excited that you're here. Now Rosemary, 00:02:51.53\00:02:54.90 I want for our friends at home...talk to us just 00:02:55.00\00:02:57.37 a little bit about 3ABN Australia. I know I remember 00:02:57.47\00:03:00.48 reading in the World Magazine about you and John. This was- 00:03:00.58\00:03:04.31 I don't even know. Would it be 20 years ago? Traveling 00:03:04.38\00:03:07.05 around Australia with satellite dishes on the back of your 00:03:07.15\00:03:11.29 car and putting them up. So how long ago would 00:03:11.39\00:03:13.92 that have been? - Well, we first got 3ABN on our 00:03:14.02\00:03:16.93 television in March 2002. - Okay. - But we were driving 00:03:17.03\00:03:23.43 in Kermit? in 2003. - Oh, wow. - The end of 2003. 00:03:23.53\00:03:28.70 - Do you know how many miles you put on with that? 00:03:28.84\00:03:30.64 - With that trip, we did 25,000 kilometers. I don't 00:03:30.74\00:03:35.64 know what that is in miles, but it took us four months, 00:03:35.74\00:03:39.31 and we went all the way around Australia, finding 00:03:39.41\00:03:42.85 out where we can put satellite dishes in. And 00:03:42.95\00:03:45.95 then we finally said, "Danny, we need to go 00:03:46.02\00:03:48.69 on a smaller dish, because there's too many people 00:03:48.79\00:03:50.49 on the east side of Australia where it's so low in the sky." 00:03:50.63\00:03:53.90 Even the fence between them and their neighbor 00:03:54.00\00:03:57.20 or a tree or if a house next door is two stories, 00:03:57.30\00:04:00.00 I mean, they can't get anything. - Yeah. - So 00:04:00.10\00:04:02.54 we went onto a smaller dish. - Yes. And how big 00:04:02.67\00:04:05.84 is the smaller dish? - Well, it's less than a meter... 00:04:05.91\00:04:10.85 900 centimeters... - Something 00:04:10.98\00:04:12.85 like that. - Sorry, that's 9 meters. - How big? About 00:04:12.95\00:04:16.32 like that? Okay. - 90 centimeters. - Okay. 00:04:16.38\00:04:18.32 Aww. I know 3ABN Australia began in 2003. So right after 00:04:18.39\00:04:25.29 that trip, then, is when you began! - No, we... 00:04:25.39\00:04:27.70 Actually, Owen Troy phoned us and said, "The board 00:04:28.76\00:04:32.03 wants you to start 3ABN Australia as a non-profit 00:04:32.13\00:04:35.14 organization," and we were preparing to go on 00:04:35.20\00:04:39.41 a trip. So, we put that aside a bit and got on 00:04:39.47\00:04:44.45 with doing the actual organization. - Wow. 00:04:44.55\00:04:48.15 - And once we had that all in place, then we went 00:04:48.25\00:04:51.05 on a trip. - Amen. It's amazing what God has 00:04:51.15\00:04:55.36 done in and through 3ABN Australia. I know just from 00:04:55.42\00:04:58.66 a personal perspective, John and Rosemary are 00:04:58.76\00:05:01.53 some of the hardest-working, dedicated, consecrated people 00:05:01.63\00:05:06.13 you would ever meet. - You don't say that in front of 00:05:06.23\00:05:08.44 a person who's sitting... [laughter] - When we went 00:05:08.54\00:05:10.44 there to Australia, I mean, just to see the 00:05:10.51\00:05:13.58 sacrifice, the dedication, the love for the ministry... 00:05:13.68\00:05:18.21 And it's an incredible facility there! - Well 00:05:18.35\00:05:21.48 to us, it's a lot smaller than here. So, we've got 00:05:21.55\00:05:25.62 two studios, we have the control room, we have the 00:05:25.72\00:05:27.92 offices, and a reception area with a bit of a shop 00:05:27.99\00:05:31.39 in it...but it's nothing like this. - It's still 00:05:31.46\00:05:35.43 amazing. I mean, you know the building. And to meet 00:05:35.50\00:05:37.67 the team! How many employees do you have there now? 00:05:37.73\00:05:40.30 - About 8 paid. - Nice. - But then there are 00:05:40.37\00:05:43.64 volunteers. - Nice! Okay. And James, tell us how 00:05:43.71\00:05:47.71 you were led to begin... I mean, obviously, we 00:05:47.78\00:05:50.41 could say you came to work there 'cause your mom 00:05:50.51\00:05:52.15 was there, right? But... - That's part of it. - But 00:05:52.21\00:05:54.18 there has to be more a reason to it than that. 00:05:54.22\00:05:56.05 So, tell us why you began working at 3ABN Australia. 00:05:56.15\00:05:59.82 - I had been volunteering for a number of years 00:05:59.92\00:06:01.92 doing a bit of directing when we were on the road. 00:06:02.02\00:06:05.33 Before we had the studio, did editing, but that was 00:06:05.39\00:06:08.36 in my spare time. I had other jobs, so I was 00:06:08.46\00:06:10.63 working as a software engineer in Western 00:06:10.73\00:06:12.60 Australia. And then I decided to move over to 00:06:12.67\00:06:16.74 New South Wales with my parents, and we were 00:06:16.81\00:06:20.34 going to set up the new studio. Now, I didn't start 00:06:20.41\00:06:25.31 working there full-time even then. I was helping 00:06:25.41\00:06:28.32 set it up, I set up the control room and studios 00:06:28.38\00:06:32.25 and the computer network and all of that, but I actually 00:06:33.86\00:06:35.92 went into teaching for one quarter. - Oh, I didn't 00:06:36.02\00:06:39.23 know that! - Or a term, we call. And it was right 00:06:39.33\00:06:42.00 before our opening in 2013, and I was really hating that 00:06:42.06\00:06:47.97 job. It wasn't a good school for me, and so 00:06:48.04\00:06:52.51 I ended up... It was coming towards the end of the first 00:06:52.57\00:06:56.28 term, and Moses was over with Shelley and JD, and 00:06:56.38\00:07:01.15 we had our opener, and I was driving Moses back 00:07:01.25\00:07:04.32 from the studio to the house where we were 00:07:04.45\00:07:07.92 all living at the time. Some have since married and moved 00:07:08.02\00:07:10.39 out. And he said, "You're not enjoying teaching. 00:07:10.49\00:07:14.26 Come and work for 3ABN Australia! Just do it." 00:07:15.46\00:07:18.00 And I was like, "Okay. I'll do it." But it was 00:07:18.10\00:07:21.30 the second time. He tried to get me to work here 00:07:21.37\00:07:23.07 12 years ago, so... [laughter] But yeah. That's how that 00:07:23.14\00:07:27.24 was, yeah. So I decided, "Well, that's it. I'm quitting. 00:07:27.31\00:07:30.18 I'm gonna work at 3ABN Australia." So, that's what 00:07:30.31\00:07:32.85 I did. - Besides, John kept saying to him, 00:07:32.91\00:07:34.98 "James, we need you with us." So, yeah. - Isn't that 00:07:35.05\00:07:38.85 precious? The Lord used many different avenues. 00:07:38.95\00:07:40.69 Moses is speaking to your life, and of course John and 00:07:40.76\00:07:43.16 yourself, and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. - Yeah. 00:07:43.26\00:07:46.66 - Yeah. How has it been for you since you've been 00:07:46.76\00:07:48.36 there? - It's been good. It's been very good. I 00:07:48.46\00:07:50.70 enjoy it a lot; I have a lot of fun. As you know, 00:07:50.77\00:07:53.30 I'm usually on the other side of the cameras; I'm 00:07:53.37\00:07:55.34 in the control room. - So this is unusual, you sitting 00:07:55.44\00:07:57.77 here, then. - Well, it is. I have been on camera 00:07:57.87\00:08:01.51 before. We had two cameras in the control room one time, 00:08:01.61\00:08:04.31 so people may have seen me before. I don't know 00:08:04.41\00:08:07.42 if anyone's... Well at least on Parent, they wouldn't 00:08:09.08\00:08:11.55 have seen me, but on International they would 00:08:11.65\00:08:13.12 have. But yeah, it's a little bit nerve-wracking 00:08:13.25\00:08:16.66 even though I told people it's a walk in the park. 00:08:16.76\00:08:18.66 [laughter] - It's different when you sit there-absolutely! 00:08:18.76\00:08:21.70 - Yeah, yeah. - But we're just family, sharing together. 00:08:21.80\00:08:23.87 That's what I love about the 3ABN family is we really 00:08:24.00\00:08:27.14 are family. We want to give you an update on what 00:08:27.24\00:08:29.80 God is doing at 3ABN Australia. Talk about 00:08:29.90\00:08:32.81 some of the programming that's taking place and 00:08:32.91\00:08:35.04 programming that's coming up-some rallies and 00:08:35.14\00:08:38.65 homecomies!...Homecomings! [laughter] That are going 00:08:38.78\00:08:41.55 to be taking place as well as just testimonies 00:08:41.65\00:08:44.92 of changed lives through the ministry. But before 00:08:45.05\00:08:47.86 we do any of that, we're going to read a scripture. 00:08:47.92\00:08:49.99 This is James 1 verse 17. James says, "Every good 00:08:50.09\00:08:55.00 gift and every perfect gift is from above and 00:08:55.06\00:08:58.57 comes down from the Father of lights with whom there is 00:08:58.63\00:09:01.57 no variation or shadow of turning." And Rosemary, 00:09:01.64\00:09:05.57 I know you picked that scripture. Why did you 00:09:05.67\00:09:07.38 pick that scripture? Why does that mean something 00:09:07.48\00:09:09.08 to you connected with ministry? - Well for one 00:09:09.18\00:09:11.51 thing, God gives everything and is good. God doesn't 00:09:11.61\00:09:15.22 bring anything bad. Bad things come from His 00:09:15.28\00:09:18.79 enemy, but God always does what is good. Every 00:09:18.85\00:09:23.22 good gift and every perfect gift comes from God, but 00:09:23.32\00:09:26.90 also He doesn't change, so we can continually 00:09:27.00\00:09:30.97 trust Him that even if things aren't going well, 00:09:31.10\00:09:34.27 He's going to bring good from it-somewhere, somehow- 00:09:34.40\00:09:37.54 because He always is good. - Amen. - So, I think it's a 00:09:38.21\00:09:41.81 beautiful verse. - It is! I love that verse, and I'm 00:09:41.91\00:09:44.65 sure in your experience with the growing pains, 00:09:44.75\00:09:48.15 you could say, of 3ABN Australia, you've probably 00:09:48.28\00:09:50.22 experienced. - I said to Bobby Davis years ago, 00:09:50.32\00:09:53.36 our baby has turned into a monster. [laughter] 00:09:53.46\00:09:57.13 - What do you mean by that? - Just going around, 00:09:57.23\00:09:59.83 putting in satellite dishes for people so they can 00:09:59.89\00:10:02.20 watch 3ABN and telling people about it, that 00:10:02.26\00:10:04.57 was so easy compared to what we're doing now. - Right. 00:10:04.67\00:10:08.60 - 'Cause constantly doing programming, constantly trying 00:10:08.70\00:10:11.47 to produce, and... - And you have stuff, you have inquiries.. 00:10:11.57\00:10:16.28 I mean, when we were just going around doing satellite 00:10:16.38\00:10:18.55 dishes, there was nothing hard about it. - Now there's 00:10:18.68\00:10:22.48 responsibility. - Oh, yes! It's all grown, and we've 00:10:22.55\00:10:24.99 had big learning curves on many occasions. - But 00:10:25.05\00:10:28.19 God has equipped you, and I love that, how God qualifies. 00:10:28.26\00:10:32.06 When He calls you, He qualifies you for that 00:10:32.16\00:10:34.33 job-and He's definitely qualifies you and John 00:10:34.40\00:10:36.36 for that. - Well, He teaches you things. 00:10:36.46\00:10:38.23 - Amen. Isn't that beautiful? - And another thing He taught, 00:10:38.33\00:10:41.27 James was talking to me for about not having been 00:10:41.37\00:10:43.81 on this side of the camera, and John and I had to learn 00:10:44.61\00:10:48.68 'cause we have a program that's not seen on Parent 00:10:48.78\00:10:52.45 at this time; it's on International, and it's 00:10:52.55\00:10:55.32 called 3ABN Now. - It's much like this program. 00:10:55.38\00:10:59.82 - It's an interview program. We've interviewed 00:10:59.89\00:11:01.62 you and Greg. - Yes. - And Tim and the Lomacang's and 00:11:01.72\00:11:06.49 Ryan Day. We learn all sorts of things about 00:11:06.56\00:11:12.93 people, and we do even Bible studies on that program. 00:11:13.03\00:11:15.84 But John and I had been here many times in these 00:11:15.94\00:11:19.77 seats, but suddenly we were in both seats. - Now 00:11:19.87\00:11:24.31 you're trying to host! [laughter] Right? - And 00:11:24.41\00:11:26.78 it was a transition that was really daunting to 00:11:26.88\00:11:30.72 have to go from being interviewed to actually 00:11:30.82\00:11:34.09 being the one having to run the program, having 00:11:34.16\00:11:36.96 to... - Ask the questions. - Make it all work. - Mhm. 00:11:37.03\00:11:39.93 - So that was a big learning curve. - Amen. Well, God's 00:11:40.00\00:11:43.00 growing you, and God's equipping you. We just praise 00:11:43.06\00:11:45.43 God for that. Before we go any further, we want 00:11:45.53\00:11:47.10 to go to some music. We have Sandra Entermann 00:11:47.20\00:11:50.74 with us, and I know she's from down under, as well. 00:11:50.91\00:11:54.01 We love Sandra, her voice- but most of all, her heart 00:11:54.11\00:11:57.41 for ministry - and the song she will be ministering 00:11:57.51\00:12:00.38 is "How Deep the Father's Love for Us." 00:12:00.48\00:12:03.72 How deep the Father's love for us 00:12:19.97\00:12:26.11 How vast beyond all measure 00:12:26.44\00:12:32.11 That He should give His only Son 00:12:32.65\00:12:38.29 To make a wretch His treasure 00:12:38.92\00:12:44.79 How great the pain of searing loss 00:12:45.29\00:12:51.27 The Father turns His face away 00:12:51.47\00:12:56.97 As wounds which mar the Chosen One 00:12:57.84\00:13:03.24 Bring many sons to glory 00:13:04.05\00:13:11.15 Behold the man upon a cross 00:13:21.86\00:13:27.80 My sin upon His shoulders 00:13:28.44\00:13:34.24 Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice 00:13:34.78\00:13:40.28 Call out among the scoffers 00:13:40.88\00:13:46.65 It was my sin that held Him there 00:13:47.16\00:13:52.76 Until it was accomplished 00:13:53.40\00:13:59.20 His dying breath has brought me life 00:13:59.77\00:14:05.54 I know that it is finished 00:14:06.21\00:14:13.45 I will not boast in anything 00:14:23.99\00:14:30.30 No gifts, no power, no wisdom 00:14:30.80\00:14:37.21 But I will boast in Jesus Christ 00:14:37.51\00:14:43.51 His death and resurrection 00:14:44.05\00:14:49.98 Why should I gain from His reward? 00:14:50.42\00:14:55.96 I cannot give an answer 00:14:56.96\00:15:03.03 But this I know with all my heart 00:15:03.40\00:15:09.70 His wounds have paid my ransom 00:15:10.21\00:15:17.61 - Amen. We are so grateful for the Father's love and 00:16:14.24\00:16:17.31 for the gift of Jesus-the gift of salvation. That's 00:16:17.37\00:16:21.24 why the ministry of 3ABN and 3ABN Australia exist 00:16:21.31\00:16:25.18 is to spread the undiluted three angels' messages to 00:16:25.28\00:16:28.15 a lost and dying world. If you are just joining 00:16:28.22\00:16:31.25 us, we're talking about what's going on down 00:16:31.39\00:16:34.16 under in 3ABN Australia. We have with us Rosemary 00:16:34.26\00:16:38.09 Malkiewycz who is the assistant to the general manager, 00:16:38.19\00:16:41.00 which is your husband, John. - Which is a long title. - Yes, 00:16:41.06\00:16:44.17 and he could not be here today; that's why he's not 00:16:44.27\00:16:47.20 here. And sitting next to you is your son, James 00:16:47.27\00:16:49.84 Hope, and you are production and IT coordinator. - That's 00:16:49.94\00:16:53.48 correct, yep. - So we're so glad both of you can 00:16:53.54\00:16:54.98 be here. So, let's talk about some homecomings- 00:16:55.08\00:16:59.11 3ABN Australia Homecoming. I know in 2018, we did one 00:16:59.21\00:17:02.75 'cause we had the privilege of going for that. So, talk 00:17:02.85\00:17:05.05 to us about that. - Well, we just had our 15th 00:17:05.15\00:17:07.59 anniversary. And coming up to that, we thought 00:17:07.69\00:17:11.49 it would be appropriate to have a homecoming to 00:17:11.59\00:17:15.13 celebrate, basically, and so some of you came from 00:17:15.23\00:17:18.67 here and we had a really good time; very enjoyable. 00:17:18.73\00:17:22.64 We had local speakers, but we had people like 00:17:22.74\00:17:25.17 yourself speaking. And we had, of course, local 00:17:25.27\00:17:28.21 musicians, but we had 3ABN musicians, as well. I had 00:17:28.28\00:17:33.38 asked Sandra Entermann, but she couldn't come. She 00:17:33.52\00:17:36.18 was in Europe for her nephew's wedding-but 00:17:36.28\00:17:38.79 there's more on that in the moment. But as part 00:17:40.02\00:17:42.76 of it, homecoming, we also went down to Tasmania, 00:17:42.86\00:17:45.39 to Launceston Church, and had a rally. - Yes. - And that 00:17:46.16\00:17:49.63 was good, too. And we had James come and join 00:17:49.73\00:17:54.64 us on that rally. - That's right, yeah. - But you 00:17:54.70\00:17:56.97 weren't initially scheduled to go to the rally. Is that 00:17:57.07\00:17:59.21 right? - That's correct. I wasn't supposed to go 00:17:59.27\00:18:01.28 to the rally. I dropped you all at the airport. And when 00:18:01.38\00:18:06.15 we got to the airport, Mum said, "Where's my 00:18:06.21\00:18:07.68 bag?" - Ah. - "Oh, no, where's my bag?" I 00:18:07.78\00:18:10.45 said, "We didn't see it. Where is it?" There was 00:18:10.55\00:18:12.09 nothing... - That was my carry bag was missing. 00:18:12.15\00:18:14.42 It had my computer and all my information for the rally. 00:18:14.52\00:18:18.06 And when I picked up my things at home-and everybody's 00:18:18.86\00:18:22.33 bags had gone out 'cause you always stayed with us- 00:18:22.43\00:18:24.63 and it was all put in the two vehicles, and I thought 00:18:25.63\00:18:28.27 my bag was there, too, because I picked up my 00:18:28.30\00:18:30.84 handbag, my bag that I keep with me in the cabin 00:18:30.91\00:18:34.71 of the plane, and I never saw my cabin bag. - Which 00:18:34.78\00:18:40.68 was right by the door. - Which was right by the 00:18:40.78\00:18:42.95 bags I picked up! - Oh, wow. - And it just wasn't 00:18:43.02\00:18:45.52 there. I thought it was gone with everything else. 00:18:45.59\00:18:47.66 Got to the airport...it's not there. I need that 00:18:47.76\00:18:51.19 bag. It was too late to do anything. We've 00:18:51.29\00:18:54.56 driven two hours to get to the airport. - Right, and 00:18:54.63\00:18:57.70 we had a flight to catch there in Sydney. - We did. 00:18:57.77\00:18:59.27 And so, what was I going to do? [laughter] It's a 00:18:59.33\00:19:02.47 little bit hard. And then you came up to us and 00:19:02.60\00:19:07.08 you had an idea. What was your idea? - And I think the 00:19:07.14\00:19:10.51 idea initially came from Pastor John Lomacang, 00:19:10.58\00:19:12.75 I think, 'cause we were talking, and we said, "Well, 00:19:12.81\00:19:16.52 why doesn't James come to the rally there in Tassie?" 00:19:16.58\00:19:19.02 Because we really could use you. There's a lot of 00:19:19.05\00:19:21.89 production and technical aspects, so it would be 00:19:21.92\00:19:24.59 such a blessing if he could be there and 00:19:24.66\00:19:27.10 could run the prompter and could help with the board, and all 00:19:27.16\00:19:29.66 of the details that need to be done, so...! - And 00:19:29.76\00:19:32.00 bring my bag. - And bring the bag, of course! [laughter] 00:19:32.07\00:19:35.14 - Well, this is how it was to me. It was a wet day, 00:19:35.27\00:19:39.14 as you remember, and I had to drive through Sydney 00:19:39.27\00:19:42.48 up to the freeway to get home which was another 00:19:42.54\00:19:45.21 hour past that, so it was... I had probably been in the 00:19:45.31\00:19:47.98 car for about an hour at this point, and I get a phone 00:19:48.05\00:19:50.29 call. I'm driving a Land Cruiser, a big Land Cruiser, 00:19:50.39\00:19:57.33 and it's four-wheel drive, and the rain was so bad 00:19:57.43\00:20:01.50 it was even aquaplaning. - Oh, wow. - In the Land 00:20:01.56\00:20:04.53 Cruiser. And meanwhile, I'm on the phone. Dad's 00:20:04.57\00:20:06.84 saying, "Oh, James, you need to come to Tasmania. 00:20:06.90\00:20:10.07 Greg and Jill"... - Hands-free. - Yeah, it was hands-free, 00:20:10.91\00:20:13.78 yes. [laughter] "Greg and Jill have decided 00:20:13.81\00:20:16.85 you're coming." I'm like, "What? What do you mean?" 00:20:16.91\00:20:18.78 He said, "When you get back to the office, book 00:20:18.81\00:20:20.42 a ticket. You're coming tomorrow." It's like, oh, 00:20:20.48\00:20:22.98 wow, okay. Meanwhile, as I'm driving up, I hear 00:20:23.02\00:20:25.45 my phone dinging of emails coming in about flights. 00:20:25.49\00:20:28.82 "Oh, you can try this flight or that flight." I thought, 00:20:28.86\00:20:31.96 "Okay." I got back to the office and I said, "I'm going 00:20:32.03\00:20:34.20 to Tasmania tomorrow. I'll go book a flight right 00:20:34.26\00:20:36.30 now." So, I went straight up to my office and did 00:20:36.36\00:20:39.27 that, but it was... I thought, "I wasn't planning 00:20:39.33\00:20:41.80 on this." And my wife Diane, she was like, "Are 00:20:41.84\00:20:44.61 you leaving me behind?" [laughter] And so, yeah. 00:20:44.64\00:20:47.68 She couldn't come. Well, it wasn't... She didn't need 00:20:47.74\00:20:51.01 to come, but yeah. It was kind of like, "Oh, 00:20:51.05\00:20:54.78 do I really want to do this? Okay, I wasn't planning on 00:20:55.85\00:20:57.75 it, but I'll do it." And I'm glad I went, because 00:20:57.82\00:20:59.69 it was really good. - He did it to bring me my bag 00:20:59.75\00:21:02.16 and my computer. - Absolutely. [laughter] - But the good thing 00:21:02.22\00:21:04.79 about it was that John and I were in a room at the 00:21:04.86\00:21:07.13 motel that had a queen size bed, but it had a 00:21:07.20\00:21:10.37 single bed, as well. - So God knew ahead of time! 00:21:10.40\00:21:13.10 - And so, it was all ready there that James 00:21:13.13\00:21:15.07 could stay in the room with us. - The rallies 00:21:15.14\00:21:18.44 were incredible. I mean, the homecoming...just to 00:21:18.51\00:21:20.81 see- I mean, when we travel around the US, you 00:21:20.84\00:21:23.04 hear stories of people whose lives have been 00:21:23.11\00:21:25.21 changed or who've been touched by the ministry. 00:21:25.25\00:21:27.12 We had the rally at the church there in...I'm trying 00:21:27.15\00:21:30.95 to think of the name... - Launceston. [simultaneous 00:21:30.99\00:21:34.52 talk] - And just to see the people come up and 00:21:34.59\00:21:39.26 say, "What a blessing 3ABN Australia has been," and how 00:21:39.33\00:21:42.36 the programs have touched them, and that's why we 00:21:42.43\00:21:44.97 do what we do-you know? That's why this ministry 00:21:45.03\00:21:47.80 exists. What does that do for you all to hear stories 00:21:47.87\00:21:51.74 and testimonies or to get emails from people whose 00:21:51.77\00:21:54.48 lives have been changed? - For me, it gives me a reason 00:21:54.54\00:21:59.58 to do what I'm doing. And sometimes when things get 00:21:59.61\00:22:03.28 hard, you think about the people who are being 00:22:03.39\00:22:07.19 benefited, the people whose lives have been changed 00:22:07.22\00:22:09.92 or encouraged by what we do and that we're 00:22:09.99\00:22:12.76 working for God, so get on with it. - It gives 00:22:12.83\00:22:16.06 purpose. - It does. - Yes! What about for you, James? 00:22:16.13\00:22:19.00 - Well, when I was working in industry as a software 00:22:19.10\00:22:23.61 engineer, I didn't see that I was doing anything 00:22:23.71\00:22:25.37 missional. You know?...Is that a word? Well, is now. 00:22:25.47\00:22:28.74 So, I just had no idea I was doing anything that 00:22:28.84\00:22:32.31 was useful for work of God, except for the few 00:22:32.41\00:22:35.78 times I did things with 3ABN Australia. And I went into 00:22:35.85\00:22:39.92 teaching because I wanted to be able to use that in 00:22:39.99\00:22:42.02 the mission field. Well, I quit that, and then I 00:22:42.09\00:22:44.29 joined 3ABN. It was a couple of years after we'd been 00:22:44.36\00:22:47.83 there and a program we'd produced in 2008 actually 00:22:47.93\00:22:50.63 turned out to be a blessing to someone and brought 00:22:50.73\00:22:52.30 them into the church. I thought, "Wow, actually, 00:22:52.40\00:22:55.80 we have made a difference in someone's life." And then 00:22:55.90\00:22:58.44 when we hear stories from countries where Christianity 00:22:58.51\00:23:01.61 is outlawed and others like that and hearing 00:23:01.68\00:23:04.58 people there, how much of a blessing it is to them, I just 00:23:04.68\00:23:06.55 feel like I am doing mission work, also global mission 00:23:06.65\00:23:10.95 work; it's not just in one area of the world; 00:23:11.05\00:23:12.92 it's actually the whole planet. - Amen! - I've 00:23:13.02\00:23:15.12 often seen that what we're doing is... When we came 00:23:15.26\00:23:18.86 home from the mission field ('cause we were missionaries)... 00:23:18.93\00:23:21.03 - That's right. - And that's when we first found 3ABN. 00:23:21.06\00:23:24.67 But when we came home, we were praying that God 00:23:24.73\00:23:27.67 would give us 24/7 work for Him. And though 00:23:27.77\00:23:31.11 I had to leave the mission field (which 00:23:31.24\00:23:33.51 I didn't want to do)... - Right. - But it was like 00:23:33.58\00:23:36.04 I was just being led by the Holy Spirit to go home. 00:23:36.11\00:23:38.85 And not knowing what was coming that God took us from 00:23:39.35\00:23:43.12 a little regional area and gave us a worldwide 00:23:43.18\00:23:45.19 mission field. - Isn't that amazing? And you 00:23:45.29\00:23:47.69 can't get anymore 24/7. - It just made it bigger. - Yes! 00:23:47.76\00:23:49.62 You can't get anymore 24/7 than television. - That's right. 00:23:49.72\00:23:52.93 - It broadcasts 24/7, yeah! - I was just going to say 00:23:53.06\00:23:55.46 something, though, going back to the bag that was 00:23:55.56\00:23:57.40 left behind. Pastor John came up to me after we'd 00:23:57.50\00:24:02.77 been in Launceston and James had... "We needed 00:24:02.84\00:24:05.51 James," he said. He made the difference in what we 00:24:05.57\00:24:08.61 were doing. And if we hadn't've had him there, 00:24:08.64\00:24:11.01 things would've been a lot harder. - Oh, yeah. - But 00:24:11.05\00:24:14.12 John said to me, "Do you know that God had His 00:24:14.22\00:24:17.72 hand over that bag so you wouldn't see it?" Because 00:24:17.79\00:24:20.62 we needed James, and He knew that. "And so, He 00:24:20.69\00:24:23.59 stopped you from seeing it." It wasn't there! It just 00:24:23.66\00:24:25.89 wasn't there; but when James went home, there 00:24:25.99\00:24:27.96 it was sitting, but it wasn't there when I 00:24:28.06\00:24:30.33 picked up my bags. - I opened the front door 00:24:30.43\00:24:32.03 of the house, and there it was, right in front of 00:24:32.13\00:24:33.47 me. I thought, "How did they miss that?" [laughter] 00:24:33.54\00:24:36.30 - Isn't that amazing? That's God. - And so John said, 00:24:36.34\00:24:39.44 "God held His hands over the bag so you didn't see 00:24:39.47\00:24:43.65 it." - Amen. - So God does amazing things. 00:24:43.68\00:24:46.21 - Well, I know the homecoming last year and the rally to 00:24:46.25\00:24:50.42 follow in Tassie, people traveled in from all over 00:24:50.49\00:24:54.19 Australia to come to that, and I know it impacted and 00:24:54.26\00:24:57.36 helped them grow spiritually, brings revival... So, you all 00:24:57.43\00:25:01.53 are planning on another one in the fall! So tell us 00:25:01.60\00:25:04.93 about the homecoming that's coming up. - Okay. It's our 00:25:05.00\00:25:07.54 spring. - Thank you! Okay, our fault. Your spring; 00:25:07.57\00:25:10.81 thank you. That's right. - It's going to be October 00:25:10.87\00:25:14.38 11 to 13 this year, 2019 at Wahroonga Church in Sydney. 00:25:14.44\00:25:23.28 We're going to be having local pastors and speakers. 00:25:24.65\00:25:29.19 Let me tell you. - Oh, yes. - Some of them, I 00:25:29.29\00:25:32.23 have here. - And your topic, I can see the graphic 00:25:32.33\00:25:34.06 there is certainty amid... - Certainty Amid Uncertainty. 00:25:34.13\00:25:36.77 Now, Pastor Geoff Youlden came up with that title. He 00:25:36.83\00:25:40.34 said, "I've got the title for your homecoming," 00:25:40.40\00:25:41.97 and so we said, "Now, that's a good one." - Yeah, 00:25:42.07\00:25:45.07 it's a great one. - So, it's "Certainty Among 00:25:45.17\00:25:46.51 Uncertainty." - Amid. "Amid Uncertainty," and 00:25:46.54\00:25:49.11 we've got Pastor? and Dr. John Ashton, 00:25:49.18\00:25:53.85 Dr. Ross Grant... These are all people that 00:25:53.95\00:25:56.89 Australians would know or most of them would. 00:25:57.52\00:25:59.45 Dr. Allan Lindsay... - Oh, yes. Keeping the good 00:25:59.55\00:26:02.29 flame for years. - Yeah. Dr. David McKibben is 00:26:02.39\00:26:05.46 one of the pastors at the Wahroonga Church. - Nice. - He's 00:26:05.53\00:26:09.36 going to be speaking. Pastor Danny Milenkov 00:26:09.46\00:26:12.10 who spoke at our last rally, he's going to speak 00:26:12.20\00:26:14.80 again. And we have Pastor Justin Torossian. - Yes! - Who 00:26:14.90\00:26:19.54 is one of yours. - That's right, and he married Charissa 00:26:19.64\00:26:22.44 Fong. - That's correct. - That's right! - Okay. 00:26:22.54\00:26:24.15 - And of course, my husband John; he's going to speak. 00:26:25.71\00:26:28.92 - Good. Do you have topics for them all, or you haven't 00:26:28.98\00:26:31.72 picked all of them? - We have, yeah. They're all 00:26:31.79\00:26:34.19 sorted, they all know what they're going to 00:26:34.29\00:26:36.19 talk about, and they've all chosen. - Nice. Can you 00:26:36.26\00:26:38.49 give us a snippet of some of the topics? - John Ashton's 00:26:38.59\00:26:42.20 going to be talking about evolution and creation, 00:26:42.26\00:26:45.43 setting the record straight of why evolution is impossible. 00:26:45.53\00:26:49.54 He's going to give evidence as to why it's impossible. 00:26:49.64\00:26:53.04 Dr. Allan Lindsay, of course, is going to speak about the 00:26:53.94\00:26:57.55 Spirit of Prophecy, and Geoff Youlden is going to talk 00:26:57.61\00:27:03.92 about? 44 and the investigative judgment. 00:27:04.02\00:27:08.42 - Nice. - And setting the- giving us the knowledge 00:27:08.49\00:27:12.96 to know that these things are real and they're not 00:27:13.06\00:27:15.83 made up. Dr. Ross Grant is going to speak about the 00:27:15.93\00:27:21.74 health message. - Oh... - And give the scientific 00:27:21.87\00:27:26.51 information to prove the health message. - I was 00:27:26.61\00:27:30.25 going to say, Ross Grant, he's a researcher at the 00:27:30.35\00:27:32.55 Sydney Adventist Hospital. So, he's in there with all 00:27:32.65\00:27:36.25 the medical people and doing a lot of health 00:27:36.35\00:27:38.39 research. It's quite interesting what he has to say. - Yes, 00:27:38.49\00:27:41.12 very, very knowledgeable. But there are some of the 00:27:41.22\00:27:44.59 topics. - Yes! This sounds incredible. So, all of 00:27:44.66\00:27:47.36 this information's on your website. If people live in 00:27:47.46\00:27:49.66 Australia or... - It's going to be. - Okay, it will be 00:27:49.73\00:27:51.57 on your website. - It will be. And then we've got 00:27:51.67\00:27:53.64 local musicians, because none of you are coming 00:27:53.74\00:27:55.44 this year because you're going to Russia. - Yes, 00:27:55.54\00:27:57.54 that's right. We'll come the following year. - Yeah. 00:27:57.64\00:27:59.94 And so, we are using local speakers. And even 00:28:00.04\00:28:04.51 though David McKibben is Scottish, he's in Australia. 00:28:04.61\00:28:09.12 And we've got local musicians like Sandra. She's going to 00:28:09.22\00:28:13.19 be there this year. And Diane Hope. - Yes. She has a beautiful 00:28:13.25\00:28:18.66 voice. - Yeah, my wife. [laughter] - I'll do some 00:28:18.73\00:28:21.76 music, as well. We've got a group that James and 00:28:21.86\00:28:27.44 Diane are in, and? ? will be there, but 00:28:27.57\00:28:31.27 the group, Persuaded, they sing beautifully. It will be 00:28:31.37\00:28:35.38 really, really well done. - I just don't know how 00:28:35.48\00:28:39.01 we're going to do that. ? and I have to 00:28:39.11\00:28:41.28 switch while I'm singing. [laughter] No, I'll get 00:28:41.38\00:28:44.92 Joel to do it. x2 We've got other directors; 00:28:45.02\00:28:47.66 I was just being silly. [laughter] - You can't 00:28:47.76\00:28:50.23 sit there and switch and sing at the same time. 00:28:50.33\00:28:52.93 And a few others, so we'll have a concert on this 00:28:53.03\00:28:56.26 Saturday night. - Yay. - We'll start Friday night 00:28:56.33\00:28:58.20 or Friday evening and go through till Sunday lunchtime. 00:28:58.33\00:29:01.60 - Nice. So, a nice weekend. That's wonderful. So talk to us 00:29:01.70\00:29:04.44 about some new programs that are coming up that 00:29:04.54\00:29:07.51 3ABN Australia is producing and will be aired here on 00:29:07.58\00:29:10.95 3ABN International. I know there's a new 00:29:11.05\00:29:13.68 program, 'cause I saw part of the pilot, "People Just 00:29:13.78\00:29:16.45 Like Us." Talk to us about that one, and I 00:29:16.55\00:29:18.29 think we have a graphic of that, too. - Yeah, 00:29:18.42\00:29:20.49 we've got a photo of that. There's, of course, Hugh, 00:29:20.59\00:29:23.73 Mum, and Pastor Geoff Youlden set. It's a new program 00:29:23.83\00:29:26.80 that we have been working on; you and Pastor Jeff 00:29:26.90\00:29:30.37 have been working on that one about Bible characters. 00:29:30.50\00:29:32.67 So, it talks about- well, the first program that we 00:29:32.80\00:29:36.37 recorded was about the man who forgot. He was the 00:29:36.47\00:29:38.97 baker or the butler, the one of the two. - The 00:29:40.01\00:29:41.34 butler. - The butler. - Pharaoh's butler. - Yes! 00:29:41.38\00:29:44.05 With Joseph and the dreams? - That's right. So, he forgot 00:29:44.15\00:29:46.68 about Joseph, and it's talking about all of that. 00:29:46.78\00:29:49.18 And in the second one we did was about Paul. - And 00:29:49.35\00:29:51.65 what we can learn from the story, for us personally, 00:29:51.75\00:29:54.92 how we can apply it to our lives or what things 00:29:55.02\00:29:58.29 we can learn to not do. - Oh, good! - So, it's 00:29:58.39\00:30:01.46 bringing characters of the Bible to life to show us 00:30:01.56\00:30:06.30 what are the wrong things or the right things they did 00:30:06.43\00:30:09.67 and how it applies to our lives today. - So it's 00:30:09.77\00:30:12.21 practical. - Oh, yes. - Yes! - Very practical. 00:30:12.27\00:30:14.78 - I love that. - Practical living. - 'Cause you can 00:30:14.84\00:30:16.18 read the Bible and say, "Oh, that's great! That 00:30:16.24\00:30:18.15 happened to Joseph or to Moses or to Daniel. That 00:30:18.28\00:30:20.85 was a long time ago." But here, this is bringing it to 00:30:20.95\00:30:23.59 us-apply it to our lives today. I love that! - And 00:30:23.72\00:30:26.76 one of the good things about Pastor Geoff is that 00:30:27.82\00:30:30.13 he can sometimes, like the butler, choose very 00:30:30.23\00:30:32.93 obscure topics. - Yes! - People to talk about that 00:30:33.03\00:30:37.00 you would never have thought to find out anything from or 00:30:37.13\00:30:40.04 learn a lesson from. - As a result of us recording 00:30:40.14\00:30:43.27 those two parts, didn't he say he would do something 00:30:43.37\00:30:45.77 about... - Oh, he's so excited. - ...about going 00:30:45.87\00:30:47.98 to Doctrines with him? - Mm. He said, "I could use 00:30:48.11\00:30:51.11 this idea, actually, for evangelistic series." - Nice! 00:30:51.21\00:30:55.98 Oh, praise the Lord! - So, he has become more excited 00:30:56.08\00:30:58.62 through us doing the pilots than he was even before 00:30:58.75\00:31:01.62 that! - Yeah. - And he's really wanting to get on 00:31:01.76\00:31:04.43 with it, so that's good. - Amen! amen. And what about a program 00:31:04.56\00:31:08.33 you're doing on evolution? Tell us about that one. 00:31:08.43\00:31:10.67 - Yes, with Dr. John Ashton. - Yeah, that's 00:31:10.73\00:31:12.30 one that's been worked on. He's planning to get college 00:31:12.37\00:31:15.37 students to come in, university students to 00:31:15.47\00:31:17.64 come in, and he will be talking about what is it 00:31:17.77\00:31:21.04 about evolution that's so impossible and the 00:31:21.14\00:31:24.31 evidence for creation, because really, evolution 00:31:24.41\00:31:28.02 cannot happen with what they're finding in current 00:31:28.15\00:31:31.72 science-especially genetics and other things like that. 00:31:31.79\00:31:35.29 But yeah, it's just amazing. So, he's going to get... 00:31:35.36\00:31:37.69 I think he's working on getting some university 00:31:38.43\00:31:40.66 students with that program. - So he's presenting creation 00:31:40.73\00:31:44.30 from a scientific viewpoint; is that correct? - Yes. - Okay. 00:31:44.40\00:31:47.70 - And for those young people who can become badly 00:31:47.77\00:31:53.91 influenced by people that they meet when 00:31:54.04\00:31:58.15 they go to study further on, and to try and help 00:31:58.21\00:32:01.88 them to be cemented in the truth. - Amen. - I was 00:32:01.95\00:32:05.09 going to say, John Ashton actually has a couple of 00:32:05.19\00:32:07.96 radio programs on 3ABN Australia Radio where 00:32:08.06\00:32:10.13 he's talking about the same topic. - Nice! 00:32:10.26\00:32:12.79 - And they're very interesting. - Very well-received. - One 00:32:12.89\00:32:14.96 of them was an interview with our first radio producer, 00:32:15.03\00:32:17.33 Barry Harker, and the second one was just him 00:32:17.43\00:32:20.10 by himself, talking. And you might think it's, "Oh, 00:32:20.24\00:32:24.71 one guy talking," but the stuff he talks about is 00:32:24.81\00:32:27.21 really interesting. Driving along in the car and listening 00:32:27.34\00:32:30.21 to it's... You can't turn it off. I just want to 00:32:30.35\00:32:32.18 listen to the end of it, you know? - Wow. - Yeah, 00:32:32.25\00:32:34.55 so it's really good. - Amen. - He does a good job. We've 00:32:34.65\00:32:38.29 got a program for young people that John is organizing. 00:32:38.39\00:32:44.09 John was the spearhead behind A Day with the King 00:32:45.06\00:32:48.96 which is now airing on Parents, on Kids Network, 00:32:49.06\00:32:52.60 as well International. It's the children program 00:32:52.73\00:32:56.10 we made five seasons of. It was, what, 65... - 65 00:32:56.24\00:33:01.08 episodes covering the entire Old Testament from Genesis 00:33:01.21\00:33:04.35 to Malachi. - From creation right through to the coming 00:33:04.45\00:33:09.25 back from Babylon with Nehemiah and Ezra. And 00:33:09.35\00:33:12.15 so, we go through the whole Old Testament 00:33:12.25\00:33:14.69 with the children. So it's a teaching program, but it's 00:33:14.79\00:33:18.69 for opening Sabbath. It's a worship program, and John 00:33:18.76\00:33:23.23 was the one who thought of that and got that going. 00:33:23.33\00:33:26.57 I was amazed at camp meeting here, how many people came 00:33:29.44\00:33:34.44 up to me and said that they love that program. 00:33:34.54\00:33:37.41 - Oh, amen! - They're really enjoying it, and they 00:33:37.51\00:33:40.55 love the fact it's a teaching program for children. - Yes. 00:33:40.68\00:33:43.69 - I had people with children come and tell me how much 00:33:45.12\00:33:48.89 they're enjoying- and the thing is that with that program, 00:33:48.99\00:33:51.53 there's also daily devotionals available on the website. 00:33:51.66\00:33:54.50 - I didn't know that! - Yeah, so if people go to 00:33:55.20\00:33:57.63 ADayWithTheKing.com... - That's right, yeah. - They 00:33:57.70\00:34:00.97 can download weekly devotionals for their 00:34:01.07\00:34:04.31 children. - And it goes along with whatever's 00:34:04.41\00:34:06.21 being talked about? - Yes, and it goes all the way from 00:34:06.31\00:34:08.98 Genesis through to the end of the Old Testament, 00:34:09.08\00:34:10.95 teaching them the stories. It has activities and a prayer, 00:34:11.01\00:34:16.75 a daily devotional, daily Bible readings, and things 00:34:16.82\00:34:20.59 for them. - Amen! Are you all doing A Day with the King 00:34:20.69\00:34:22.66 for New Testament? Is that in the works, or not? - No, 00:34:22.76\00:34:25.16 we're changing our direction. That's a huge project, doing 00:34:25.26\00:34:29.00 A Day with the King. - Oh, yes. - So, John has got a 00:34:29.10\00:34:31.13 new direction for young people that he's organizing. 00:34:31.27\00:34:35.67 - Nice! - Going through the 28 Fundamentals. 00:34:36.47\00:34:38.84 - That's a great idea! Is it talk show format, 00:34:38.94\00:34:43.75 or what type of format's it gonna be? - There's going 00:34:43.85\00:34:46.55 to be a moderator and some people on the set as well 00:34:46.68\00:34:50.49 as an older person steering in the direction of what the 00:34:50.59\00:34:54.32 Bible says about the topic and helping the younger 00:34:54.42\00:34:57.19 people to get to know with the topic. - So like an open 00:34:57.29\00:34:59.49 discussion on the subject? - Similar. - Okay. - Yeah. 00:34:59.56\00:35:03.57 So basically, the young people are asked questions 00:35:03.67\00:35:09.20 of what they think the answer to a particular 00:35:09.27\00:35:11.57 question is and get an idea of where they're at, 00:35:11.64\00:35:15.81 and then I believe the older person will direct... 00:35:15.88\00:35:21.08 - The moderator will work between and discuss, and 00:35:21.22\00:35:24.85 then go to the older person who is going to give what 00:35:24.99\00:35:28.29 the Bible says on the topic. - That's a great idea, 00:35:28.42\00:35:30.66 absolutely. - We want to teach the younger people 00:35:30.76\00:35:33.33 of all age groups what the Bible really says. 00:35:34.93\00:35:38.77 - So, talk to us about Healthy Living for a 00:35:39.97\00:35:41.57 moment. I think we have a graphic of that. This is 00:35:41.64\00:35:44.17 a...health program? - Yes, and you can see there Dr. 00:35:44.27\00:35:47.88 Coralia from Victoria (it's a state in Australia), 00:35:47.94\00:35:52.15 as well as Margot Marshall, a host of the program. 00:35:52.31\00:35:54.68 That program is really... It's about- basically, 00:35:56.08\00:36:01.76 she talks to medical professionals about 00:36:01.89\00:36:04.33 different health topics. We've had a number of 00:36:04.46\00:36:06.86 different people on the program, including Dr. 00:36:07.00\00:36:08.36 Eddie Ramirez from Weimar Institute (who's 00:36:08.46\00:36:12.10 known on 3ABN, being on Wonderfully Made and other 00:36:12.20\00:36:14.80 programs like that). He comes to our studio quite 00:36:14.90\00:36:17.37 a lot. - Yes, he's a regular. [laughter] - That's great. 00:36:17.47\00:36:20.54 - "I'm coming to Australia at this time. Do you want 00:36:20.61\00:36:22.88 to do some programs?" We say, "Yes, please." - We've 00:36:23.01\00:36:25.48 even done four cooking programs with his whole 00:36:25.58\00:36:28.08 family, so his wife and three daughters, yeah! 00:36:28.15\00:36:30.79 - That's been airing. - They aired recently on International 00:36:30.89\00:36:33.79 and they will air again soon; we're just running 00:36:33.89\00:36:36.26 back through that schedule of programs. And we've had 00:36:36.36\00:36:40.73 people talk on lifestyle medicine. In fact, the 00:36:40.83\00:36:42.70 picture we saw before with Coralia Jigau, she had some 00:36:42.80\00:36:46.67 of her patients on the program, talking about 00:36:46.77\00:36:50.11 how their lives were improved by lifestyle 00:36:50.21\00:36:51.91 medicine. [Mm.] Yeah. - Amazing stories; 00:36:52.04\00:36:54.78 absolutely amazing. - We even had one episode 00:36:54.88\00:36:58.75 called... It was about food sense, which is 00:36:58.85\00:37:00.95 talking about food sense, as in... It's supposed to be 00:37:01.02\00:37:03.69 sense in the mind, but also c- e-n-t-s. - Oh, nice! - So 00:37:03.79\00:37:06.89 it's about saving money on your grocery bill so 00:37:06.99\00:37:09.82 you could save up to $2,000 Australian dollars per year 00:37:09.92\00:37:14.20 from a grocery bill by buying healthy food. 00:37:14.30\00:37:18.40 An example was given. You know the little Kinder eggs, 00:37:18.50\00:37:21.87 chocolate eggs, in Australian dollars and in metric, 00:37:21.97\00:37:26.44 one kilo of that would cost you I think it was... 00:37:26.54\00:37:31.21 $114 or so. - Yeah, over $100, which is very 00:37:31.28\00:37:36.12 expensive. - A kilo. - What you think of in Australia, 00:37:36.18\00:37:38.32 some of our vegetables are, you know...what 00:37:38.42\00:37:41.72 would you say for bananas or something like that? 00:37:41.82\00:37:44.43 - Oh, no, even sometimes, you can get bananas for 00:37:44.56\00:37:46.06 $2.50 a kilo. - Yeah, so look at the huge difference! 00:37:46.19\00:37:50.33 Yeah. - Something like that. Apples could be 00:37:50.47\00:37:54.24 $4 a kilo compared to $100 or more than $100 00:37:54.37\00:37:59.21 for this little chocolate- you know, for a kilo 00:37:59.31\00:38:02.01 of these little chocolate eggs that are not good 00:38:02.08\00:38:04.05 for you. - Yeah! This is showing how you 00:38:04.15\00:38:05.75 can save money and eat healthy, which is... That's 00:38:05.85\00:38:10.15 incredible. You referenced before just a little bit ago, 00:38:10.29\00:38:14.12 Rosemary, about the people who came up to you during 00:38:14.22\00:38:16.32 camp meeting, talking about A Day with the King and 00:38:16.42\00:38:18.56 how it had blessed them. Talk to us about the 00:38:18.59\00:38:21.33 response you get from programs, whether it's 00:38:21.40\00:38:24.37 email or people calling in or people telling you 00:38:24.40\00:38:26.17 in person. What sort of response do you get, 00:38:26.20\00:38:28.50 and how do you track that as far as the stats of people? 00:38:28.57\00:38:32.27 - Do you want to talk about some stats? 00:38:33.27\00:38:34.74 - Well, there's different stats. - Okay. - Well, 00:38:34.78\00:38:37.45 the stats I have are about people actually accessing 00:38:37.55\00:38:41.22 our website. - Oh, good! Talk to us about that. 00:38:41.32\00:38:42.98 - And people we actually hear from... I could say 00:38:43.12\00:38:44.85 that. We hear from people all around the world- 00:38:44.92\00:38:47.22 Australia, of course, New Zealand, the US, but places 00:38:47.32\00:38:52.56 in Africa, different countries in Africa, and different 00:38:52.66\00:38:55.20 countries in Europe. We hear from people 00:38:55.26\00:38:57.53 in Germany... That's one that's off the top 00:38:57.60\00:39:00.87 of my head, but you know. Even the Philippines, we 00:39:00.97\00:39:03.20 hear from people there. And on our website, 00:39:03.30\00:39:06.04 we have catch-up. So, programs that we have 00:39:06.17\00:39:08.84 produced in Australia, we have those programs 00:39:11.05\00:39:13.95 on our website for you to be able to watch again 00:39:14.05\00:39:16.75 later for six weeks. - On demand. - Yeah. And they're 00:39:16.85\00:39:21.62 published based on the broadcast schedule, so 00:39:21.72\00:39:24.33 when the program's aired, it will go up. - Mhm. - And 00:39:24.43\00:39:27.26 we have people in all sorts of obscure places 00:39:27.36\00:39:30.43 watching. - Mm. - And our best-performing 00:39:30.57\00:39:33.84 program is our Sabbath School program, Let God 00:39:33.94\00:39:36.14 Speak. - Mhm. - Yeah, that's very popular. 00:39:36.24\00:39:39.31 Yeah. And people like to watch that to prepare 00:39:39.41\00:39:42.51 for Sabbath School, and we have downloadable 00:39:42.61\00:39:44.18 notes for that that sit on the catch-up page. 00:39:44.31\00:39:46.92 So, a lot of people, yeah, watch that. It just far 00:39:47.02\00:39:50.79 surpasses anything else we've got. - Amen. - Yeah. 00:39:50.89\00:39:53.42 I've got some little testimonies here. I've 00:39:53.52\00:39:56.52 got one here-like James said-we get people from 00:39:56.59\00:39:59.29 all around the world. And one of them, we 00:39:59.39\00:40:01.70 got not too long ago, it was from the USA. 00:40:01.80\00:40:06.20 A man sent an email. He said, "I watched the 00:40:06.30\00:40:11.01 Music Special #2 on 3ABN International." We have 00:40:11.11\00:40:14.04 done three, using music that we have recorded 00:40:14.14\00:40:17.95 down in Australia. We will actually do our 3ABN now 00:40:18.08\00:40:21.12 interview program where we'll do a music special. 00:40:21.22\00:40:23.45 - Oh! I love that. - And we will feature some of 00:40:23.55\00:40:26.15 those clips, talk about the person, where they're 00:40:26.25\00:40:29.02 from-if they have any CD available that people 00:40:29.12\00:40:33.83 can purchase, we will let people know that-and 00:40:33.93\00:40:36.20 we'll go through and do a few different items. So, 00:40:36.30\00:40:39.33 this person watched that, and he said, "It was really 00:40:39.47\00:40:42.00 good to watch your Christian talent. The program was a 00:40:42.10\00:40:44.87 blessing. I live near Erie"- is that- "Pennsylvania." 00:40:44.97\00:40:48.98 - Erie? - Close to Lake Erie. And then he says Erie 00:40:49.11\00:40:52.18 is between Buffalo, New York and Cleveland, Ohio. 00:40:52.28\00:40:54.82 So, he contacted us from here, so he must've been 00:40:54.92\00:40:57.49 watching on the internet. - Yes! - Because he wouldn't 00:40:57.59\00:41:00.46 have seen it... [laughter] - Right! - On the television. 00:41:00.56\00:41:04.13 - We have been to Lake Erie, on the Canadian 00:41:04.23\00:41:05.66 side, so... - Yeah. We had one from the Philippines 00:41:05.76\00:41:08.73 who was a man who is an American, but his 00:41:08.86\00:41:12.53 wife is a Filipino and he lives there, and he watched 00:41:12.67\00:41:16.14 one of our interview programs with Dr. Barry Harker. He 00:41:16.24\00:41:21.51 used to be our radio manager. And he was 00:41:21.61\00:41:25.35 saying how much he enjoyed what Barry had to say about 00:41:25.45\00:41:29.25 end-time events. I've got one here that is 00:41:29.38\00:41:33.59 actually really recent; I mean, it just came in the 00:41:33.69\00:41:37.09 last couple of weeks, and I'd like to read it. - Please. 00:41:37.19\00:41:40.56 - It's from Western Australia, and it's talking about the 00:41:40.63\00:41:44.30 Healthy Living program with Dr. Coralia... 00:41:44.40\00:41:47.74 - The one we just talked about? - Yes, and one of 00:41:47.84\00:41:49.34 the patients that she had there. The patient 00:41:49.44\00:41:53.24 who was one of her patients was talking about her father's 00:41:53.34\00:41:55.71 situation seeing Dr. Coralia So the man said, 00:41:55.81\00:42:00.75 "I have some degree of kidney failure," and that's 00:42:00.85\00:42:03.59 what the program was talking on. "I did see, 00:42:03.69\00:42:06.15 unfortunately, only part of the broadcast which 00:42:06.29\00:42:09.52 showed how kidney damage could be reversed naturally." 00:42:09.62\00:42:12.66 And that's what the program was about and how this man's 00:42:13.29\00:42:16.60 kidney... He was almost on dialysis. Three years... 00:42:17.90\00:42:22.64 Well, in a short time, he was well, and he 00:42:22.70\00:42:25.84 couldn't be on the program himself because he was in China 00:42:25.94\00:42:29.08 on holiday. - So his daughter was there. 00:42:29.18\00:42:32.11 - At 92 years of age... He was 92, and so he 00:42:32.21\00:42:36.38 was really healed. - Mhm. - And so, this was Healthy 00:42:36.52\00:42:40.69 Living with Dr. Coralia "I was too late to see 00:42:40.79\00:42:43.32 it. I had not seen your station previously, but 00:42:43.43\00:42:46.66 I really liked it. Anyway, I am a dedicated Christian 00:42:46.80\00:42:49.86 myself and found 3ABN a great resource for my own 00:42:49.96\00:42:52.77 study. You are likely aware that many Christians 00:42:52.87\00:42:56.10 believe that the soul is a separate part of a 00:42:56.20\00:42:58.41 human being, but the Bible states that the 00:42:58.51\00:43:00.71 man became a living soul after the breath was added 00:43:00.81\00:43:04.78 to the body by God, thus I get that a man, a woman, 00:43:04.91\00:43:08.72 is either a soul or a corpse. I did know of this many 00:43:08.82\00:43:12.49 years ago but tended to go along with the mainstream 00:43:12.59\00:43:14.62 on this issue. The Bible makes more sense if 00:43:14.76\00:43:17.03 viewed from the perspective that the soul IS the person 00:43:17.16\00:43:20.16 while still alive. Anyway, a great channel." And 00:43:20.30\00:43:23.63 then he goes on about his kidney situation and where 00:43:23.77\00:43:27.47 he lives. And he says, "Thank you for the station." 00:43:27.57\00:43:30.37 - Aww. - So, he is a person who has just 00:43:30.51\00:43:34.31 found 3ABN and is enjoying what he's seeing, and 00:43:34.44\00:43:37.95 obviously realizes that this is biblical truth, because 00:43:38.05\00:43:42.42 he knows that this was truth but he hadn't been 00:43:42.52\00:43:45.59 following it himself. - Absolutely. - So, 00:43:45.69\00:43:47.72 we get a lot of different comments like that from 00:43:48.39\00:43:51.79 people. I have one here. This lady phoned to set 00:43:51.93\00:43:57.37 up regular monthly donations, which we love for people to 00:43:57.43\00:44:00.04 do, because it's the donations that keep 00:44:00.10\00:44:03.17 us going. If people don't send in their donations to 00:44:03.27\00:44:06.24 here or to us for our work in Australia, we 00:44:06.34\00:44:09.24 can't keep going and making programs to spread the 00:44:09.34\00:44:13.15 gospel. So, "This lady rang to set up regular 00:44:13.25\00:44:17.09 donations"-and this is Elizabeth writing this, 00:44:17.19\00:44:19.55 our receptionist-"She also decided to purchase 00:44:19.65\00:44:22.19 some exercise DVDs. I asked her if there was 00:44:22.26\00:44:25.19 anything else I could help her with. She said she 00:44:25.26\00:44:27.03 had Great Controversy but did we have any other 00:44:27.13\00:44:30.17 Elaine White books." - Oh, okay. - "I asked 00:44:30.30\00:44:34.90 her how she heard about 3ABN. She said she has 00:44:35.00\00:44:37.27 the Christian channels on her television and 00:44:37.37\00:44:39.31 watches them all, including 3ABN, but lately she is 00:44:39.41\00:44:43.24 drawn more to 3ABN. She said it's more to the Word. 00:44:43.35\00:44:47.32 The presenters are focused on the Word. She loves the 00:44:47.42\00:44:51.02 shows 3ABN has and that they talk about the Bible. 00:44:51.12\00:44:54.59 She went on to say she has been watching for a 00:44:54.72\00:44:57.79 while." So, this is another new person who 00:44:57.86\00:45:02.10 has come across 3ABN while she's got the other channels, 00:45:02.23\00:45:05.87 the other Christian channels, and she's finding that she's 00:45:06.03\00:45:09.20 enjoying what she's learnt, and she didn't know who 00:45:09.30\00:45:12.91 Elaine White was. - And she's drawn to it because 00:45:13.01\00:45:16.91 of the teaching from the Word. - Yes. - Which is, 00:45:16.98\00:45:19.61 that's why the ministry exists is to present the 00:45:19.71\00:45:21.95 truth from God's Word, you know? - That's right. 00:45:22.08\00:45:25.32 - I mean, just such a blessing. And you at 00:45:25.45\00:45:27.16 home can partner with 3ABN Australia and 3ABN 00:45:27.22\00:45:31.59 in helping to spread that gospel message. We'll 00:45:31.69\00:45:34.60 give you contact information for 3ABN Australia in just 00:45:34.70\00:45:37.20 a little bit, but I see, James, you had a comment. 00:45:37.40\00:45:40.54 - Yeah, so I have a comment- we... Talking about testimonies 00:45:40.64\00:45:43.51 and A Day with the King, we had a young girl, 00:45:43.61\00:45:46.31 right, from New England area here in the United 00:45:46.37\00:45:49.14 States. She wrote to us about A Day with the 00:45:49.24\00:45:53.11 King. She'd been watching it when it went on Parent. 00:45:53.21\00:45:55.15 And I can't remember her name, but she said she 00:45:55.22\00:45:58.59 was saving up to buy the DVDs for it. - Aww. - And 00:45:58.65\00:46:02.16 that she wanted her name to be mentioned on air 00:46:02.22\00:46:06.26 when we did the program. We're not recording it 00:46:06.36\00:46:08.66 anymore, but yeah. I thought I'd better 00:46:08.70\00:46:11.60 mention that. - You could give her name now. - If 00:46:11.63\00:46:13.30 I can remember it... [laughter] Do you remember 00:46:13.34\00:46:14.94 what it was? - I don't. - I just put you on the 00:46:15.00\00:46:16.44 spot. - I don't have my phone with me...yeah. 00:46:16.50\00:46:17.94 But... - The letter came just before we left. 00:46:18.01\00:46:21.28 - Before you came, okay. - Yes. But we were going 00:46:21.34\00:46:23.51 to get both Antoinette who was the one who started 00:46:23.55\00:46:27.78 the program, and I think Aunty Leah. 00:46:27.88\00:46:31.15 - Yes. - Who was in the last season to write 00:46:31.25\00:46:34.52 to her. - Yeah. - That's wonderful. - So, she was 00:46:34.62\00:46:37.36 very excited about the program. - I've got two other quick 00:46:37.46\00:46:40.10 little stories I need to tell. - Please! - When 00:46:40.20\00:46:42.70 we were at camp meeting in north New South Wales 00:46:42.83\00:46:45.33 recently, a man came up to John and told him that 00:46:45.47\00:46:49.10 he has a contract to do maintenance on pubs, 00:46:49.20\00:46:55.61 hotels, taverns, you know, type things in outback 00:46:55.71\00:46:59.45 Australia, and he went into one recently. When he 00:46:59.58\00:47:05.39 went up to the bar and he saw 3ABN on a television 00:47:05.49\00:47:09.49 at the bar... - In the bar?! [laughter] - And 00:47:09.56\00:47:12.33 he said... - That's great. - "What is this doing here?" 00:47:12.43\00:47:15.36 And the man said, "This is the only channel that 00:47:15.46\00:47:18.43 we have playing here." - Oh, wow. - And so, 00:47:18.57\00:47:21.97 they're playing 3ABN in the pub. [laughter] At 00:47:22.00\00:47:25.81 the bar. - Yeah! What a blessing. - And John 00:47:25.87\00:47:28.34 forgot to get the man's name and contact details, 00:47:28.44\00:47:31.38 so if you know who the man is or if you are 00:47:31.41\00:47:33.35 watching, please contact us at 3ABN Australia, because 00:47:33.42\00:47:36.32 John wants to get the man's details. - Oh, that's 00:47:36.38\00:47:39.45 exciting. - Who did this, and it was really exciting. 00:47:39.52\00:47:42.32 - And what's the second story? - The second story 00:47:42.39\00:47:44.56 is a pastor that we did his interview. I know I've 00:47:44.59\00:47:49.13 told you this story before, Jill, but he gave us his 00:47:49.16\00:47:53.57 story about escaping with his family from Romania when 00:47:53.64\00:47:56.64 he was a child. And previously, he had been 00:47:56.67\00:48:00.08 estranged from his wife and children. And when 00:48:00.14\00:48:04.18 the interview aired, a friend of one of his 00:48:04.21\00:48:09.08 daughters was watching the program and rang the 00:48:09.15\00:48:11.99 daughter and said, "Your dad is on 3ABN. You 00:48:12.05\00:48:14.72 better turn it on and watch." - Yes! - So 00:48:14.76\00:48:17.09 she did, and the pastor came up to us this year 00:48:17.13\00:48:20.73 at camp and said because of that interview, he is now 00:48:20.80\00:48:24.33 in touch and in contact with his children. - Oh... 00:48:24.37\00:48:28.40 - That he had not seen for a while, and the 00:48:28.47\00:48:31.37 interview has brought his children and him back 00:48:31.44\00:48:34.41 together. - God wants to restore families. - Oh, 00:48:34.48\00:48:37.81 he was so excited. - Yes!
