I want to spend my life 00:00:01.63\00:00:06.67 Mending broken people 00:00:07.50\00:00:12.31 I want to spend my life 00:00:12.41\00:00:18.01 Removing pain 00:00:18.85\00:00:23.22 Lord, let my words 00:00:23.85\00:00:28.79 Heal a heart that hurts 00:00:29.89\00:00:33.90 I want to spend my life 00:00:34.50\00:00:39.50 Mending broken people 00:00:40.24\00:00:44.81 I want to spend my life 00:00:45.74\00:00:50.95 Mending broken people 00:00:51.35\00:00:56.08 Rock of ages, cleft for me 00:01:17.41\00:01:23.04 Let me hide myself in Thee 00:01:25.11\00:01:31.85 Let the water and the blood 00:01:32.42\00:01:38.63 From Thy riven side which flowed 00:01:39.26\00:01:45.90 Rock of ages, cleft for me 00:01:46.63\00:01:53.34 Let me hide myself in Thee 00:01:54.38\00:02:04.19 Sometimes I feel discouraged 00:02:09.96\00:02:18.40 And I think my works in vain 00:02:18.50\00:02:25.97 I'm tempted oft to murmur 00:02:27.44\00:02:36.18 To grumble and complain 00:02:36.28\00:02:43.43 Oh, but then I think of Jesus 00:02:44.33\00:02:53.34 And all He's done for me 00:02:53.47\00:03:02.08 Then I cry, oh Rock of ages 00:03:02.18\00:03:11.49 Hide Thou me 00:03:11.72\00:03:18.63 Oh, Rock of ages 00:03:20.43\00:03:29.20 Hide Thou me 00:03:29.30\00:03:36.91 There is no other refuge 00:03:37.28\00:03:46.35 Can save, Lord but Thee 00:03:46.49\00:03:53.80 And through this dark world 00:03:54.46\00:03:59.23 I've wandered far 00:03:59.60\00:04:05.97 Far from Thee 00:04:06.64\00:04:12.31 Then I cry, oh Rock of ages 00:04:12.45\00:04:21.99 Hide Thou me 00:04:22.76\00:04:32.17 - Amen. Praise the Lord. Hello and welcome to 3ABN 00:04:42.28\00:04:44.75 Today. Thank you for joining us as you do 00:04:44.85\00:04:46.82 each and every day. I know our intro's a little 00:04:46.92\00:04:49.45 different than normal, but we have Ryan Day 00:04:49.55\00:04:51.92 here today. What an incredible instrument that God 00:04:52.02\00:04:54.46 has given him for music and for preaching, and we're 00:04:54.56\00:04:57.69 going to get to know Ryan a little better today. He 00:04:57.79\00:05:00.03 has a brand-new CD out that we're all excited 00:05:00.13\00:05:03.63 about. I love his songs and the music. And between him 00:05:03.73\00:05:07.57 and Tim Parton doing the music behind him, we're 00:05:07.67\00:05:09.84 going to have a great time today in the Lord. 00:05:09.94\00:05:12.47 And so again, we appreciate you. Thank you for your love 00:05:12.57\00:05:15.44 and your prayers and financial support of 3ABN 00:05:15.54\00:05:18.31 as we endeavor to take this great gospel of the 00:05:18.38\00:05:20.72 Kingdom into all the world. And one of the 00:05:20.82\00:05:22.75 things that we have seen that crosses denominational 00:05:22.85\00:05:26.15 lines over the past 34 years is music. There 00:05:26.25\00:05:30.76 are people who will watch 3ABN who might not ever 00:05:30.83\00:05:33.70 stop on this channel when they hear preaching or 00:05:33.76\00:05:36.20 prophecies or the mark of the beast; but when 00:05:36.26\00:05:38.73 they hear music like this, they'll stop and listen. 00:05:38.83\00:05:41.37 Then later, we'll get phone calls or letters 00:05:41.44\00:05:43.61 or emails that say, "You know, I stopped to listen 00:05:43.71\00:05:46.57 to that music, but then I heard the next program 00:05:46.68\00:05:49.11 and the next one," and then they talk about 00:05:49.18\00:05:50.75 coming to Jesus or joining the church. So, music is 00:05:50.85\00:05:53.95 a great tool that God has given us, and we're so 00:05:54.08\00:05:57.02 thankful that Ryan Day is now a part of working 00:05:57.12\00:05:59.59 with the music channel. We'll talk about that in 00:05:59.65\00:06:02.16 a few minutes-but before he sits down, I think I'm 00:06:02.22\00:06:05.56 just going to ask you, Ryan, if you'll do another 00:06:05.63\00:06:07.40 song for us right now, and then we'll come back 00:06:07.46\00:06:09.16 and hear from Ryan speaking. 00:06:09.23\00:06:11.73 In this quiet place with You 00:06:26.58\00:06:30.52 I bow before Your throne 00:06:31.19\00:06:34.46 I bear the deepest part of me 00:06:34.79\00:06:38.73 To You and You alone 00:06:39.56\00:06:42.53 I keep no secrets For there is no thought 00:06:43.43\00:06:49.04 That You have known 00:06:49.17\00:06:51.87 I bring my best and all the rest 00:06:51.97\00:06:56.18 To You I lay them down 00:06:56.31\00:07:02.45 With all my heart 00:07:06.89\00:07:12.49 I want to love You, Lord 00:07:12.83\00:07:16.73 And live my life 00:07:16.83\00:07:21.00 Each day to know You more 00:07:21.14\00:07:25.41 All that is in me 00:07:25.51\00:07:28.98 Is Yours completely 00:07:29.51\00:07:33.62 I'll serve You only 00:07:34.08\00:07:38.12 With all my heart 00:07:38.65\00:07:47.60 You faithfully supply my needs 00:07:57.67\00:08:01.84 According to Your plan 00:08:02.44\00:08:05.55 So help me, Lord, to seek your face 00:08:05.68\00:08:10.39 Before I seek Your hand 00:08:10.52\00:08:13.79 And trust You know what's best for me 00:08:14.06\00:08:18.23 When I don't understand 00:08:18.36\00:08:27.60 Then follow in obedience 00:08:28.47\00:08:32.07 In every circumstance 00:08:32.74\00:08:42.62 With all my heart 00:08:42.98\00:08:48.06 I want to love You, Lord 00:08:48.16\00:08:51.83 And live my life 00:08:52.09\00:08:55.60 Each day to know You more 00:08:55.70\00:08:59.73 All that is in me 00:08:59.90\00:09:03.07 Is Yours completely 00:09:03.17\00:09:08.88 I'll serve You only 00:09:09.08\00:09:17.82 I'll serve You only 00:09:20.19\00:09:29.36 With all my heart 00:09:34.60\00:09:44.31 - Amen. Thank you so much, Ryan. Beautiful song-"With 00:10:04.07\00:10:06.94 All My Heart." Today, it's a privilege to introduce to 00:10:07.00\00:10:10.94 some of you... Now many of you have been able to 00:10:11.01\00:10:12.91 see Ryan and get to know him over the last several 00:10:12.97\00:10:15.28 months or year; but right now, I'm happy to say 00:10:15.38\00:10:18.41 that he's full-time, employed- if you call it that. I hate to 00:10:18.51\00:10:22.32 call him employed when you're having so much 00:10:22.38\00:10:24.09 fun and you're in ministry, but it's a joy to have Ryan 00:10:24.15\00:10:27.29 here full-time at 3ABN. Ryan, it's great to have 00:10:27.42\00:10:29.86 you here today. - Amen. It's good to have you 00:10:29.92\00:10:31.26 here, brother. Thank you so much. Good to be here. 00:10:31.29\00:10:32.93 - You know what, a great instrument, a great tool 00:10:32.99\00:10:34.43 that God has given you- and I know you give Him 00:10:34.53\00:10:36.80 the glory for that. - Amen. - Now, you know Yvonne. 00:10:36.90\00:10:39.70 She's got a lot of music background and sang with 00:10:39.80\00:10:43.17 a lot of big names, but she says to me, "Ryan's 00:10:43.27\00:10:45.94 got one of the greatest tools that I've ever"... 00:10:46.01\00:10:48.01 You know, "natural tools that I've heard." - Oh, 00:10:48.11\00:10:51.35 praise the Lord. - So, coming from her, that's 00:10:51.45\00:10:53.01 a pretty good compliment. - That's humbling, coming 00:10:53.08\00:10:54.98 from her. - She may not say that to you, but she 00:10:55.08\00:10:56.42 says it to me. She said, "He has an incredible tool"- 00:10:56.45\00:10:59.15 you know?-"It's an incredible instrument." It was her words. 00:10:59.25\00:11:02.92 I say, "tool"; I'm a carpenter. "Tool," 00:11:02.99\00:11:04.89 but she's "instrument." So, God has blessed you. 00:11:04.96\00:11:08.43 But we're going to find out today a little more 00:11:10.00\00:11:12.10 about you. You, for a number of years, you 00:11:12.17\00:11:16.07 were preaching. So, you were with Amazing Facts. 00:11:16.14\00:11:18.77 - I was with Amazing Facts for 5 years before I came 00:11:18.87\00:11:21.14 here, but I wasn't always a Seventh-day Adventist 00:11:21.24\00:11:24.61 Christian. I wasn't raised in the Adventist church, 00:11:24.71\00:11:26.65 so... - Well, we want to spend a little time; we're 00:11:26.75\00:11:28.62 going to do some more songs, so don't get antsy 00:11:28.72\00:11:30.62 at home. We're going to have him back up and do 00:11:30.72\00:11:32.29 a few more songs, brand-new. Can you show your CD, maybe? 00:11:32.39\00:11:35.42 - Yeah, absolutely. So, this is the new- this is it: the 00:11:35.49\00:11:38.03 "Songs of Faith" album. I'm a little proud of it. 00:11:38.13\00:11:42.56 It's my very first professional album. - Can you give us some 00:11:42.66\00:11:46.07 of the songs? - Absolutely! So there are songs like: "The 00:11:46.17\00:11:48.50 Solid Rock," "You Are My All in All," "Spirit in the 00:11:48.60\00:11:51.61 Bride," which is kind of a worship medley... "They 00:11:51.71\00:11:54.81 Sing a New Song" is also on this one. "I'm Going 00:11:54.91\00:11:57.18 to Give Him Glory" project, which is a wonderful song 00:11:57.25\00:11:59.85 written by David Huntsinger. We also have: "We'll Understand 00:11:59.95\00:12:02.65 It Better," "By and By," good old-fashioned kind 00:12:02.75\00:12:05.59 of pick-me-up hymn, which is a really good one. "With 00:12:05.69\00:12:08.42 All My Heart," which you heard just a few moments 00:12:08.52\00:12:10.13 ago, "Hide Thou Me," which is the one I started with in 00:12:10.19\00:12:13.09 the beginning, and of course, "I'd Rather Have Jesus," 00:12:13.19\00:12:15.93 which we'll do in just a few moments, "Gethsemane," 00:12:16.03\00:12:18.73 as well (which is a song you wrote, and Lanny 00:12:18.83\00:12:21.80 Wolfe co-wrote, which is wonderful), and then a 00:12:21.90\00:12:24.97 song called, "Satisfied," which is actually me and 00:12:25.07\00:12:28.84 Tim Parton in a duet on that one, which is... It 00:12:28.91\00:12:31.65 was fun; very fun for me and Tim. And then of 00:12:31.71\00:12:33.78 course, the last two are: "Until Then" and "When We 00:12:33.85\00:12:36.02 All Get to Heaven." - Can't be- those kinds 00:12:36.08\00:12:38.15 of songs are here forever. "Until Then," "When We All 00:12:38.25\00:12:40.72 Get to Heaven," I mean- most of these songs, you 00:12:40.82\00:12:43.02 know? - Yes. - And so, I love that your music, 00:12:43.09\00:12:46.06 your style of music- and it fits right into our 3ABN 00:12:46.19\00:12:48.66 audience, because most of our audience doesn't like all 00:12:48.73\00:12:53.00 the-and I'm just gonna like they talk to me, okay? 00:12:53.10\00:12:55.70 - Sure, sure. - They don't like all the beating and 00:12:55.77\00:12:57.24 banging and all the loud drums and all the percussions 00:12:57.31\00:13:01.64 and all the things going on. It's between- when 00:13:01.74\00:13:04.21 we get to heaven, we may really be surprised at some 00:13:04.28\00:13:07.12 of the music's there; so it's not to say what music is 00:13:07.22\00:13:09.62 sinful, what isn't sinful, what's good and bad, but 00:13:09.68\00:13:13.22 people have different taste. - Sure, sure. - So, I may be 00:13:13.29\00:13:16.89 a little broader in my taste than some of the folk are, 00:13:16.99\00:13:19.56 and then there's people a whole lot broader than 00:13:19.66\00:13:21.63 me. In fact, I was talking to the airlines just a little 00:13:21.70\00:13:26.00 bit ago, and...I don't know if it was a day or two ago, 00:13:26.07\00:13:29.30 and the lady- she said, "I gotta put you on hold, 00:13:29.40\00:13:31.87 and I'm so sorry that our music isn't working right 00:13:31.97\00:13:35.94 now, so it'll just be quiet." And I said, 00:13:36.04\00:13:37.65 "No, thank you, 'cause I'm sure that's going to 00:13:37.71\00:13:39.28 be better than the music," because everybody has 00:13:39.38\00:13:42.02 different taste, you know. - Right, right. Yes. - But 00:13:42.12\00:13:44.65 anyway, we appreciate your kind of music; but for a young 00:13:44.72\00:13:46.52 guy, you're kind of keeping the hymns and all of that- 00:13:46.62\00:13:50.06 you know. A lot of the young folk are totally 00:13:50.16\00:13:51.96 getting away from that. A lot of the music nowadays 00:13:52.06\00:13:54.76 from folks your age, and you get pushing that 30 00:13:54.86\00:13:58.13 mark-you know. Getting up here, they're all into 00:13:58.20\00:14:00.30 the more kind of...you don't know if it's rock, 00:14:00.37\00:14:02.34 you don't know if it's gospel, you don't know- 00:14:02.40\00:14:03.84 Christian- you don't know what it is, really; but yours 00:14:03.94\00:14:07.28 is very distinct, you have a message to give, 00:14:07.38\00:14:10.01 and it's just like in your preaching, and you give it. I 00:14:10.11\00:14:13.18 appreciate that, and so do we and our viewers at home will, 00:14:13.25\00:14:16.12 too, so we're excited for you to get to know Ryan 00:14:16.22\00:14:19.25 better. And of course, your position now with 00:14:19.35\00:14:21.86 the Praise Him Music Channel is what? - I am the assistant 00:14:21.92\00:14:24.73 to the general manager, who is Tim Parton, of the 00:14:24.83\00:14:27.50 Praise Him Music Network- the 3ABN Praise Him Music 00:14:27.60\00:14:30.43 Network. - And it is on the air now? - It is on 00:14:30.47\00:14:32.03 the air, it is going strong, and we're very excited 00:14:32.10\00:14:34.44 about some of the great opportunities and broadcasting 00:14:34.57\00:14:38.24 that we're going to be doing coming up in the near future. 00:14:38.34\00:14:40.51 - So for the folks on the go and traveling, and 00:14:40.61\00:14:42.94 they're always here and there, is there a way 00:14:43.04\00:14:45.78 they can use their phones or? - Oh, absolutely, yeah. 00:14:45.88\00:14:48.12 So I would encourage everyone to download 00:14:48.25\00:14:50.79 first, if you have a smartphone, download the 3ABN app. It's 00:14:50.89\00:14:54.02 free; just simply go to your app store, download- 00:14:54.12\00:14:56.52 just type in "3ABN," it'll pop up there, and you'll 00:14:56.62\00:14:59.59 have access to all the 3ABN different networks. 00:14:59.69\00:15:02.86 And of course, in that list is the Praise Him Music 00:15:02.96\00:15:05.10 Network. You can carry it with you anywhere 00:15:05.20\00:15:06.53 you want. Everywhere that you have internet connection, 00:15:06.63\00:15:08.94 it's available. Absolutely. - Isn't that amazing? 00:15:09.04\00:15:11.17 Yeah, and they go to the different... You can go on 00:15:11.27\00:15:13.51 the computer, you can go different ways, and be able 00:15:13.58\00:15:15.44 to get this 24/7. I love listening to it when I'm 00:15:15.51\00:15:18.28 traveling. It's wonderful. I watch it when I can when 00:15:18.41\00:15:21.65 I'm not driving, but... [laughter] Other than 00:15:21.82\00:15:23.89 that, I love watching it. So, brand-new music 00:15:23.99\00:15:26.02 network that I'm sure you're going to love. We have all 00:15:26.12\00:15:29.36 kinds of people watching already and watching the 00:15:29.46\00:15:32.76 music. I had talked to former attorney general not too 00:15:32.86\00:15:36.06 long ago, and he said, "Man, I love watching 00:15:36.16\00:15:37.93 3ABN's- your station and your music channel and 00:15:38.03\00:15:43.41 all of that," so we have a lot of people who watch 00:15:43.51\00:15:46.57 and love the music. As I was telling the folks 00:15:46.68\00:15:48.94 earlier, music is a universal language that people would 00:15:49.04\00:15:53.45 stop and watch 3ABN when they hear music like this. 00:15:53.55\00:15:57.45 They might not if you're up there preaching a fiery 00:15:57.55\00:15:59.75 sermon, but...you know, it gets them there, and 00:15:59.85\00:16:02.52 once they're there, a lot of times the Holy Spirit 00:16:02.59\00:16:04.69 leads them to continue to watch. Let's go back 00:16:04.76\00:16:07.00 and talk a little bit about your background. Now, 00:16:07.10\00:16:10.03 you were raised in what state? - So, I was raised 00:16:10.13\00:16:11.87 in the state of Arkansas. - Okay! - I was primarily 00:16:11.93\00:16:14.90 raised in a couple of different Pentecostal 00:16:15.00\00:16:17.44 denominations-more charismatic. So, I was the preacher's child, 00:16:17.54\00:16:22.38 and raised in a very conservative, wonderful 00:16:22.48\00:16:26.55 Christian home-but of course, the Lord had a different plan. 00:16:26.61\00:16:30.29 He knew we loved truth. He knew we were searching 00:16:30.42\00:16:32.35 for truth-and it wasn't too long before the truth 00:16:32.39\00:16:35.26 of the Sabbath and those wonderful pillar faithful 00:16:35.39\00:16:39.56 messages that the Adventist church teaches all around the 00:16:39.69\00:16:42.03 world came our way, and we couldn't pass it up, so... 00:16:42.10\00:16:45.40 - Wow! So that's just through... You weren't 00:16:45.50\00:16:48.90 watching TV, necessarily. Did you meet people who 00:16:49.00\00:16:51.27 were Adventist, and...how did that work? - So yeah! 00:16:51.37\00:16:54.01 So basically, my aunt-have to give a shout out to my 00:16:54.08\00:16:57.01 aunt Gwen (she's probably going to watch this), and 00:16:57.08\00:16:59.61 I think also my aunt Genie had something to do with 00:16:59.71\00:17:02.35 this, as well. It's both my dad's sisters, and they 00:17:02.45\00:17:04.82 had been... My aunt Jenny had- or she's- my aunt 00:17:04.92\00:17:08.69 Gwen had been involved in the Adventist church 00:17:08.76\00:17:11.13 at this time (this was back in the mid '90s- 00:17:11.23\00:17:13.23 early-to-mid '90s) and said come into, I think, some 00:17:13.33\00:17:16.87 Mark Finley or Kenneth Cox tapes that I'm 00:17:16.97\00:17:19.43 sure, probably, 3ABN had something to do with the 00:17:19.53\00:17:22.30 recording. And somehow, someway, I think it was my 00:17:22.37\00:17:25.54 Aunt Genie eventually shared a tape with my 00:17:25.64\00:17:28.11 dad, and they kind of both shared with my father, 00:17:28.21\00:17:30.75 and my Aunt Gwen really kind of pushed. You know, 00:17:30.85\00:17:33.62 "Watch that tape! Watch that tape!" And so my dad 00:17:33.72\00:17:35.78 watched it, and the rest is history. My dad began 00:17:35.88\00:17:38.09 to watch all of the Kenneth Cox tapes and Mark Finley 00:17:38.19\00:17:40.76 evangelistic series, and I remember as a kid, 00:17:40.86\00:17:42.96 peering into the television, watching these guys talk 00:17:43.06\00:17:46.33 about biblical things that I didn't quite understand... 00:17:46.43\00:17:48.80 but little did I know that years later, it would play 00:17:48.93\00:17:51.63 a major role in- and those same tapes would play a 00:17:51.73\00:17:54.00 major role in my conversion. - Wow. That's amazing. So, 00:17:54.10\00:17:56.94 your dad, did he- did your whole family, like, just join 00:17:57.01\00:18:00.48 the Adventist church, or did you take it one step 00:18:00.58\00:18:02.41 at a time? - It was kind of a multistep process. It's 00:18:02.48\00:18:06.61 interesting how it happened, because while my dad was 00:18:06.72\00:18:08.78 still in the Pentecostal faith and, you know, kind 00:18:08.88\00:18:11.55 of non-denominational, denominational-he was 00:18:11.65\00:18:14.22 kind of all over the place at one time, but he was 00:18:14.29\00:18:16.62 still preaching the Adventist message. In fact, many times 00:18:16.69\00:18:19.23 it cost him to... You know, some of the boards at the 00:18:19.33\00:18:21.86 churches that he attended would ask him to leave, 00:18:21.96\00:18:23.70 because he was preaching these truths. And so, actually, 00:18:23.77\00:18:27.44 long story short, I was the first one in my family that 00:18:27.54\00:18:30.41 made the decision to join the Adventist church. And 00:18:30.54\00:18:33.81 then of course, my brother and my sister joined, and 00:18:33.91\00:18:37.68 then, of course, later on, my mother and 00:18:37.78\00:18:39.11 father would join, as well. So, praise the Lord all 00:18:39.21\00:18:41.52 of my family are Adventist Christians, and they love 00:18:41.62\00:18:45.19 Jesus, and I praise God for the journey that He 00:18:45.29\00:18:47.79 has brought us through. - That's great. So you 00:18:47.92\00:18:50.13 were one of the first ones to stay in your family to 00:18:50.23\00:18:52.43 step out and say, "I wanna join the church." - That's 00:18:52.49\00:18:55.33 right. - That's great. Now, the book Ten Commandments: 00:18:55.40\00:18:58.03 Twice Removed, you said that helped you. - Yeah, 00:18:58.10\00:19:00.14 so this was actually a few...maybe a year or 00:19:00.24\00:19:03.57 two before I actually made the decision to 00:19:03.64\00:19:05.64 formally join the church. My father and I and my 00:19:05.67\00:19:08.64 family had started our own little kind of non- 00:19:08.74\00:19:10.68 denominational Sabbath-keeping church, teaching all of the 00:19:10.75\00:19:13.52 Adventist teachings in this church-in a little 00:19:13.62\00:19:15.98 country church out in the middle of nowhere. And 00:19:16.05\00:19:17.95 one day, a friend of my father's came in and had 00:19:18.09\00:19:20.52 a big stack of books, and he just laid them up on this 00:19:20.62\00:19:23.09 table in our sanctuary. He said, "If anybody 00:19:23.19\00:19:25.73 wants these, they can have them," and I started 00:19:25.83\00:19:27.80 going through them. One of them that stuck out to 00:19:27.90\00:19:29.46 me was the Ten Commandments: Twice Removed - Danny Shelton 00:19:29.56\00:19:32.07 and Shelley Quinn. So, I pulled it out of that stack, 00:19:32.17\00:19:34.34 read it, couldn't put it down; read it twice, 00:19:34.40\00:19:36.84 read it three times, and it played a huge role in 00:19:36.91\00:19:39.47 helping me kind of dial-in my understanding of, 00:19:39.57\00:19:42.24 you know, the Commandments and the importance of 00:19:42.34\00:19:44.48 Sabbath-keeping and obedience to Christ and 00:19:44.58\00:19:46.82 upholding the truth in the last days. - So, there's 00:19:46.88\00:19:49.42 all kinds of ways that we can, you know... There's 00:19:49.48\00:19:52.15 all this new media and media highways, but still 00:19:52.25\00:19:56.12 yet, there's just a good old book. It's printed, it 00:19:56.19\00:19:59.03 has pages, and you can turn it (you don't even 00:19:59.09\00:20:01.30 have to go on the internet or go somewhere), that they're 00:20:01.36\00:20:04.10 still effective, and we see that over and over - many 00:20:04.20\00:20:06.97 books; not just ours - but many of them that 00:20:07.10\00:20:09.34 we still pass out and give away, and we see people's 00:20:09.47\00:20:13.01 lives changed. So yours is a progressive thing. 00:20:13.07\00:20:16.64 You, more and more as you saw it - but something 00:20:16.75\00:20:19.28 interesting: you were obviously looking for 00:20:19.38\00:20:22.15 truth. - Absolutely. - And so, when you're looking 00:20:22.25\00:20:24.85 for truth, the Lord showed it to you. - Absolutely! 00:20:24.95\00:20:27.19 And I always tell people, you know, it first has 00:20:27.29\00:20:29.12 to start with one having the love for the truth. 00:20:29.19\00:20:31.83 You have to love truth... and I did. I wanted truth 00:20:31.89\00:20:34.76 more than anything, even if it meant me losing my 00:20:34.83\00:20:37.13 job (which I did at one time for the Sabbath), 00:20:37.23\00:20:39.57 me losing friends, which I did many times when 00:20:39.63\00:20:42.87 I gave my heart to Jesus... But I was on that search 00:20:42.97\00:20:45.87 as my family was, and things begin to change - but the 00:20:46.01\00:20:49.68 Lord had a plan. I just said to Him, even though 00:20:49.74\00:20:53.18 I wasn't perfect and I still had a lot of things in my 00:20:53.28\00:20:55.78 life (and still do!) that the Lord's working on 00:20:55.88\00:20:57.85 me. The Lord just wants a willing soul, and He showed 00:20:57.95\00:21:00.96 me that. "If you're willing to be used by Me, I will 00:21:01.06\00:21:03.53 use you." - You know what, what a great segue to your 00:21:03.59\00:21:06.16 next song, "I'd Rather Have Jesus." - I'd rather 00:21:06.26\00:21:08.46 have Jesus; that's right! - You were just saying- 00:21:08.56\00:21:10.20 all of that said, "I'd Rather Have Jesus." 00:21:10.27\00:21:12.53 So, we're going to have Ryan get up and sing this 00:21:12.63\00:21:14.87 song in just a moment, and a lot of you folk will know 00:21:14.97\00:21:17.07 it. If you don't, if you're younger and you haven't 00:21:17.14\00:21:19.14 heard it, this is, to me, it's one of the great 00:21:19.21\00:21:21.54 all-time songs. "I'd rather have Jesus than silver 00:21:21.61\00:21:24.38 and gold," and the author is saying that when we 00:21:24.48\00:21:27.48 really look at this world, it really doesn't have 00:21:27.58\00:21:29.95 anything. That silver and gold's not going to help 00:21:29.98\00:21:31.79 you when you get 90 or 100 or whenever you come to 00:21:31.85\00:21:35.56 the grave and you go down in the grave- nothing's 00:21:35.66\00:21:38.83 gonna help you but knowing Jesus Christ and accepting 00:21:38.93\00:21:41.76 Him as Lord and Savior of your life. And so, 00:21:41.86\00:21:44.97 today, that's a goal of 3ABN is to present Jesus 00:21:45.07\00:21:48.90 Christ to a lost and dying world - to see that He 00:21:49.00\00:21:51.77 is the answer for this world's problems today. 00:21:51.87\00:21:54.78 And it's our hope and prayer that each and 00:21:54.88\00:21:56.64 every one of you, along with us, would look all 00:21:56.75\00:21:59.35 around the world but say, "You know what, I've seen 00:21:59.41\00:22:01.68 it all...but 'I'd rather have Jesus.'" Ryan. 00:22:01.78\00:22:04.72 I'd rather have Jesus than silver or gold 00:22:28.51\00:22:37.99 I'd rather be His than have riches untold 00:22:38.82\00:22:48.46 I'd rather have Jesus than houses or lands 00:22:49.30\00:22:59.04 I'd rather be led by His nail pierced hands 00:22:59.81\00:23:09.32 Than to be the king of a vast domain 00:23:10.32\00:23:20.00 Or be held in sins dread sway 00:23:20.70\00:23:29.77 I'd rather have Jesus than anything 00:23:31.67\00:23:41.45 This world affords today 00:23:42.32\00:23:51.46 Ohh... 00:23:56.43\00:23:58.10 I'd rather have Jesus than men's applause 00:23:58.20\00:24:08.04 I'd rather be faithful to His dear cause 00:24:08.41\00:24:18.19 I'd rather have Jesus than worldwide fame 00:24:18.92\00:24:28.56 I'd rather be true to His holy name 00:24:29.83\00:24:39.01 Than to be the king of a vast domain 00:24:40.88\00:24:49.98 Or be held in sin's dreadful sway 00:24:51.59\00:25:01.36 I'd rather have Jesus 00:25:05.40\00:25:11.87 Than anything 00:25:13.07\00:25:20.58 This world affords 00:25:23.08\00:25:31.13 Today 00:25:32.56\00:25:39.67 Mm... 00:25:42.70\00:25:51.18 - Amen. Thank you, Ryan. This is all part of a brand-new 00:25:56.32\00:25:58.69 CD, and you should go to 3ABN. You can go to the 00:25:58.82\00:26:03.02 website, whatever - anytime, we always 00:26:03.09\00:26:04.59 say, other than Sabbath hours. This is Ryan's, 00:26:04.69\00:26:08.46 and it's his own personal; it's nothing that we own, 00:26:08.56\00:26:11.23 but we support him and what he's doing, so you 00:26:11.37\00:26:13.84 can work out the details with Ryan but you probably can 00:26:13.94\00:26:15.67 find out right here through 3ABN how to contact him. 00:26:15.77\00:26:18.67 And so, I would encourage you not only for yourself, 00:26:18.81\00:26:23.18 but for people around you. We know people 00:26:23.28\00:26:25.95 that- neighbors, we know friends... Maybe sometimes, 00:26:26.01\00:26:28.55 you can't really talk to them about Jesus; 00:26:28.62\00:26:30.69 but say, "Hey, I got this gift. There's a guy that 00:26:30.75\00:26:33.29 I met or I like." Maybe you go to a concert 00:26:33.36\00:26:35.82 somewhere, you see him, "Hey, I see him on 3ABN, 00:26:35.89\00:26:38.03 and I really just feel like the Lord's impressed me 00:26:38.13\00:26:42.30 to give you this." They'll listen to it. They may not 00:26:42.40\00:26:44.87 tell you yes or no, but so many times, in their 00:26:44.93\00:26:47.70 home, in the quietness, when they're struggling, 00:26:47.80\00:26:50.77 they'll put on this music. And we've seen over and 00:26:50.87\00:26:54.61 over again people brought to Jesus through music 00:26:54.71\00:26:57.45 like this. So, we encourage you to contact 3ABN and 00:26:57.51\00:27:02.22 find out how you can get yours we say any time 00:27:02.28\00:27:04.45 other than Sabbath hours I'd encourage you. In fact, 00:27:04.52\00:27:08.36 you're going to have a hard time getting this 00:27:08.46\00:27:09.82 away from me, Ryan, when the program's over, so I'll 00:27:09.92\00:27:12.93 work out with you whatever we gotta do later. We'll 00:27:12.99\00:27:15.26 trade something. We'll work it out, but wonderful. 00:27:15.36\00:27:19.17 Thank you, again, so much for what you're doing. Now, 00:27:19.27\00:27:21.74 we got a little time for talking. We want to get 00:27:21.84\00:27:24.21 a couple more songs in, but I want to talk about 00:27:24.27\00:27:26.37 you then actually felt a call to ministry. - Yeah. 00:27:26.44\00:27:30.75 Absolutely. - And how- what happened then? 00:27:30.85\00:27:32.61 - Yeah, so I was probably about two years into having 00:27:32.71\00:27:36.62 been working in my local Seventh-day Adventist 00:27:36.69\00:27:38.99 Church. I was youth pastor and made my way up through, 00:27:39.05\00:27:43.83 being an elder and really working in my local church. 00:27:43.93\00:27:47.03 The Lord just inspired me one day and encouraged me 00:27:47.10\00:27:49.66 as I had been watching some evangelistic series, 00:27:49.76\00:27:52.17 I had been studying my Bible more, and the Lord 00:27:52.27\00:27:53.97 just placed it on my heart. Said, "You know what, I've 00:27:54.07\00:27:56.14 given you gifts, I've given you talents... 00:27:56.20\00:27:57.61 I want you to use them for me." And so, myself 00:27:57.74\00:28:00.58 and my brother Dakota, who is now an Amazing 00:28:00.68\00:28:03.61 Facts evangelist, and both of our wives and our 00:28:03.68\00:28:06.95 friend Jordan Moore... We all, 5 of us, went 00:28:07.02\00:28:09.25 from Arkansas to California in 2013, and we went 00:28:09.38\00:28:13.69 through the Amazing Facts Center of Evangelism there 00:28:13.79\00:28:15.96 where we were trained by Pastor Doug and the AFCOE 00:28:16.06\00:28:19.29 crew on how to do proper evangelism in these last 00:28:19.39\00:28:22.46 days...and it was one of the best decisions of my 00:28:22.56\00:28:24.63 life. And so, about halfway or a little more than halfway 00:28:24.73\00:28:28.07 through that program, I was given a couple of opportunities 00:28:28.14\00:28:30.51 to speak, and the Lord just blessed me abundantly 00:28:30.57\00:28:34.08 and providing an opportunity for myself to join the Amazing 00:28:34.18\00:28:37.55 Facts evangelistic team. And so from that point 00:28:37.61\00:28:40.22 forward for the next 5 years, I would travel on 00:28:40.28\00:28:43.18 behalf of Amazing Facts Ministries, and I would 00:28:43.28\00:28:45.92 find myself all over the United States and Canada, 00:28:46.02\00:28:49.69 preaching the gospel, and it's just been the greatest 00:28:49.76\00:28:52.66 journey of my life. I'll never take it back. It's 00:28:52.76\00:28:55.96 a wonderful thing. - So you could've never really looked 00:28:56.03\00:28:58.50 back as a young child, going to these churches and 00:28:58.57\00:29:02.07 thinking, "I'd be out in the frontline, being 00:29:02.14\00:29:04.57 an evangelist in the Seventh-day Adventist 00:29:04.64\00:29:06.07 Church," right? - That's right. Never; never. 00:29:06.14\00:29:07.78 [laughter] It's a beautiful thing. - Yeah, it's amazing. 00:29:07.84\00:29:10.18 But you mentioned your brother, so your brother... 00:29:10.25\00:29:12.48 Is he? Tell us about your family and siblings. 00:29:12.58\00:29:15.52 - Yeah! So I mentioned earlier all of my family 00:29:15.58\00:29:17.85 eventually made that decision to be Sabbath- 00:29:17.92\00:29:20.79 keeping Christians in the Seventh-day Adventist 00:29:20.86\00:29:22.46 Church, and my brother Dakota who's younger 00:29:22.56\00:29:24.73 than me-he's about 4-and-a-half years younger than me-he's 00:29:24.86\00:29:27.20 also an Amazing Facts evangelist still today, 00:29:27.26\00:29:30.07 and so he travels, and he's been with them now 00:29:30.13\00:29:32.50 for about two-and-a-half~ almost three years. And 00:29:32.53\00:29:34.50 so, yeah! Of course, I'm no longer with Amazing 00:29:34.60\00:29:38.67 Facts now; I'm here with 3ABN. But as I'm kind of 00:29:38.74\00:29:41.18 transitioning out of there, my brother's kind of taken 00:29:41.24\00:29:44.65 up the banner and he's moving forward in the field of 00:29:44.75\00:29:47.32 evangelism, so yeah. - Now, it'd probably be a really 00:29:47.42\00:29:50.45 hard choice if you had to decide between singing 00:29:50.59\00:29:54.02 or preaching, 'cause I can tell when you're 00:29:54.12\00:29:56.62 doing it, when you're ministering, you love 00:29:56.69\00:29:58.56 both. - Sure, sure. Aw, yeah. - And you love it. 00:29:58.66\00:30:01.36 So, that would be a tough decision, wouldn't it? - It 00:30:01.43\00:30:03.87 would a tough decision. I love to preach, I love 00:30:03.93\00:30:06.17 to sing, but I think every man knows what he's best 00:30:06.27\00:30:09.34 at at the end of the day, and I would say that I 00:30:09.40\00:30:12.51 probably am better at singing than I am preaching... 00:30:12.61\00:30:17.65 But at the end of the day, it's not about being better 00:30:17.75\00:30:19.08 or better than someone else; it's about being willing 00:30:19.18\00:30:21.88 to preach and to sing for Jesus, which I love doing 00:30:21.98\00:30:24.35 both - absolutely. - So on 3ABN- we're kind of 00:30:24.45\00:30:26.99 putting you- you just jumped right out of that, 00:30:27.09\00:30:29.72 jumped right into this. Now you've been doing, 00:30:29.79\00:30:31.59 what, some of the Sabbath school programs? - I've been 00:30:31.66\00:30:33.26 on the Sabbath School Panel. - How do you like that? - Oh, 00:30:33.33\00:30:34.80 I love it! It's just been an incredible journey. 00:30:34.86\00:30:37.87 - Some of the folk you're sitting beside there, 00:30:37.97\00:30:41.27 listening and working with? - Oh, man, it's like 00:30:41.34\00:30:43.91 drinking from a fire hydrant when I'm around Jill and 00:30:43.97\00:30:46.24 Shelley and John and Kenny, and then yourself, and it's 00:30:46.34\00:30:50.35 just... It's been an incredible experience - 00:30:50.45\00:30:52.41 absolutely. - Oh, it is. I've been on it a few 00:30:52.48\00:30:54.32 times; I feel I'm out of my league, you know? 00:30:54.38\00:30:56.38 But it's really neat to hear everyone's perspective of 00:30:56.45\00:30:59.52 the same lesson study, but different people get 00:30:59.62\00:31:03.09 different-you know?-it's like little gems of truth. 00:31:03.19\00:31:05.73 - It's true. - And so when I listen to you, I listen to 00:31:05.83\00:31:07.83 Jill and each one, and so I've read it, but we'll 00:31:07.90\00:31:10.83 each pick up something different, and it's 00:31:10.90\00:31:13.07 really... It's one of the most watched programs, 00:31:13.13\00:31:16.17 as far as we could tell, of people watching, and 00:31:16.27\00:31:19.07 we're happy for that, because the more people 00:31:19.17\00:31:21.58 that's watching, the better. And again, a lot of these 00:31:21.64\00:31:24.21 folk- most of our viewers... People don't know this. 00:31:24.28\00:31:26.31 In general, a lot of people don't know-... As far as 00:31:26.41\00:31:30.05 we can tell, probably 95%- and I didn't make a mistake 00:31:30.15\00:31:34.22 on this-95% of our viewing audience and listening audience 00:31:34.29\00:31:38.56 are not Seventh-day Adventist. So, I hear a lot of people say, 00:31:38.63\00:31:42.36 "Oh, well, that's an Adventist channel, preaching to the 00:31:42.46\00:31:46.10 choir"... Not really, and there's nothing wrong 00:31:46.17\00:31:48.57 with preaching to the choir, and we do to a lot of choirs, 00:31:48.60\00:31:51.17 and 3ABN's known around the world...but it's amazing 00:31:51.24\00:31:54.91 to me that- here's an amazing fact-that probably 00:31:55.04\00:31:59.48 95% of our potential viewing audience is not Seventh-day 00:31:59.55\00:32:03.99 Adventist, and we understand that as we travel: in airports 00:32:04.05\00:32:07.19 and places. I've been in Bucharest, Romania, and 00:32:07.26\00:32:09.46 Russia, Moscow, and cities that where you would have 00:32:09.52\00:32:13.40 no idea that people would walk up and say, "Oh, 00:32:13.53\00:32:15.46 I see you"...and their accents from whatever 00:32:15.56\00:32:19.37 country but their attempt to do in English (and some 00:32:19.43\00:32:22.67 of it's pretty good, actually). But, "Oh, I see you on 3ABN," 00:32:22.77\00:32:26.01 I'm always amazed at the people that are watching 3ABN 00:32:26.11\00:32:30.48 around the world. So again, we're so thankful that you're 00:32:30.55\00:32:34.25 here, you're part of the team, the music team; 00:32:34.32\00:32:36.28 but we didn't make you decide, 'cause we're 00:32:36.38\00:32:38.29 having you do both. - Amen. - So you're going to be 00:32:38.35\00:32:40.56 preaching the camp meeting, too? - That's right. Coming 00:32:40.62\00:32:42.32 up spring camp meeting; absolutely. - Isn't that 00:32:42.42\00:32:44.23 going to be great? What's that-June 5th through 8th? 00:32:44.29\00:32:46.23 - June 5th through 8th. It's on the Ten Commandments- 00:32:46.29\00:32:47.96 God's holy law and covenant; law of liberty-and so I'm going 00:32:48.03\00:32:52.90 to get to preach on the topic of the Sabbath, so 00:32:52.97\00:32:55.50 it's going to be really fun. - Yeah. Oh, you're 00:32:55.60\00:32:57.11 going to do the Sabbath? - I'm going to be doing the 00:32:57.21\00:32:58.54 topic of the Sabbath, which is a big one. - Well, why not, 00:32:58.57\00:33:00.08 right? [laughter] 'Cause you learned it, and it didn't 00:33:00.18\00:33:02.38 come from not being raised in the church. - That's right. 00:33:02.48\00:33:04.91 - Yeah. Absolutely. - Amen. - Well, right now, I want to 00:33:05.01\00:33:07.48 transition to a song, but I want you to- you tell 00:33:07.55\00:33:10.49 me about it a little bit from your perspective- 00:33:10.59\00:33:12.52 you chose it-but Gethsemane. - Sure. - And why that on this 00:33:12.62\00:33:16.39 particular project. - Yeah, absolutely. Well, first and 00:33:16.46\00:33:18.63 foremost, any time I get to sing about Christ and 00:33:18.73\00:33:22.53 the sacrifice that He gave for us... You know, many 00:33:22.60\00:33:24.73 people think that the ultimate sacrifice He 00:33:24.83\00:33:26.60 gave was up on cross, and that for sure is true that 00:33:26.67\00:33:29.54 He did indeed endure the cross in despite of the 00:33:29.64\00:33:32.37 shame, but He had to endure Gethsemane. The first time 00:33:32.44\00:33:36.88 I heard this song was actually in the studio, 00:33:36.95\00:33:38.71 just as a new kind of convert coming into 3ABN as an 00:33:38.78\00:33:43.15 employee. I remember you had brought me into the 00:33:43.25\00:33:46.19 studio and said... Either there's a song that I 00:33:46.29\00:33:48.59 wrote and you played it for me, and I was just 00:33:48.69\00:33:50.76 captivated by the message, the way it was very well 00:33:50.83\00:33:54.30 written, the music was just beautiful... And from that 00:33:54.36\00:33:57.03 moment on, when I had the opportunity to make 00:33:57.17\00:34:00.17 this CD, I kind of, you know, urged E.T. and 00:34:00.27\00:34:03.54 Tim and yourself, "Hey, can I record this song?" 00:34:03.61\00:34:06.98 And it's just been such a blessing. I love the message, 00:34:07.04\00:34:09.24 and I know the Lord really used you, and Lanny Wolfe 00:34:09.31\00:34:11.65 to write the song. - Yeah, Lanny Wolfe. And actually, 00:34:11.75\00:34:13.45 the night before we were doing that whole project... 00:34:13.52\00:34:16.02 I was getting ready to- Reggie was producing that 00:34:16.12\00:34:20.46 particular project. I was going down to meet 00:34:20.56\00:34:23.86 him, and I was supposed to pick up Lanny Wolfe 00:34:23.93\00:34:25.66 at the airport, and I got this little tune... "He 00:34:25.69\00:34:28.36 suffered Gethsemane through blood, sweat, and tears"... 00:34:28.46\00:34:32.60 And so, all of a sudden, it started coming to me, 00:34:32.70\00:34:35.04 "Each drop of blood He shed..." All of a sudden, words 00:34:35.10\00:34:40.21 start coming to me, and I said, "Wow, that is..." 00:34:40.31\00:34:42.48 So I write this chorus, the words and the music; 00:34:42.54\00:34:45.88 so Reggie calls, and I say, "Reggie," I said, 00:34:45.95\00:34:48.95 "Man, I wish it weren't so late in the project, 'cause 00:34:49.02\00:34:52.45 we're recording the next two days, but this little tune came 00:34:52.55\00:34:55.96 to me." "Let me hear it." Soon as I play it, he said, 00:34:56.06\00:34:58.43 "Danny, we gotta get that on this CD." And I said, 00:34:58.49\00:35:00.66 "I don't even have the verses to it!" So he 00:35:00.70\00:35:03.80 said, "Well, let's... Maybe you can work on it." 00:35:03.87\00:35:05.73 So I pick up Lanny at the airport and take 00:35:05.83\00:35:08.87 him to his room; and when I drop him off, on the way 00:35:08.94\00:35:12.81 there, I say, "Lanny, I wrote this little chorus 00:35:12.87\00:35:14.44 tonight." And I didn't ask him to work on it; you don't 00:35:14.54\00:35:17.65 ask Lanny Wolfe. He's a legend, so I don't expect 00:35:17.71\00:35:20.62 him to drop down to my level. But I said, "Well, 00:35:20.72\00:35:23.69 if he wants to do it, he'll volunteer." So he said, 00:35:23.79\00:35:25.85 "That's really nice." The next morning, we 00:35:25.95\00:35:29.02 go to breakfast, and he says "Do you want somebody? 00:35:29.09\00:35:32.56 That song's been running through my mind all night. 00:35:32.63\00:35:34.80 You want verses?" And I said, "Absolutely." So he 00:35:34.90\00:35:37.87 literally, that day, was in a side room, working, 00:35:37.93\00:35:40.97 putting the verses together (which are INCREDIBLE), so 00:35:41.04\00:35:44.77 I don't take the credit for that. Lanny through 00:35:44.84\00:35:47.18 the Holy Spirit, you know, doing it. But it turned 00:35:47.24\00:35:49.71 out to be a song that we give God all honor and glory and 00:35:49.78\00:35:53.72 praise, and you do a great job on it, so 00:35:53.78\00:35:55.82 we're going to have Ryan sing to you right now... 00:35:55.88\00:35:58.79 Again, this CD's available; all you have to do is contact 00:35:58.89\00:36:01.56 3ABN other than Sabbath hours. We'll tell you how 00:36:01.66\00:36:04.63 you can get this new project; but right now, 00:36:04.73\00:36:07.33 he'll be ministering to us through Gethsemane. 00:36:07.43\00:36:10.77 All the way from heaven's splendor 00:36:24.41\00:36:30.49 Robed in flesh, One in a manger 00:36:30.99\00:36:36.66 Jesus came to set sin's captives free 00:36:37.13\00:36:46.17 "Father, not My will, but Thine be done," 00:36:47.67\00:36:54.81 Was the prayer He prayed, God's only Son 00:36:55.24\00:37:01.18 So, He drank the bitter cup for you and me 00:37:01.55\00:37:10.59 He suffered Gethsemane 00:37:12.23\00:37:17.47 Through blood, sweat, and tears 00:37:18.50\00:37:23.47 Each drop of blood He shed 00:37:24.44\00:37:29.11 Bought me a million years 00:37:29.54\00:37:36.12 God's crowning sacrifice 00:37:36.79\00:37:42.96 His spotless Lamb 00:37:43.39\00:37:49.00 Now risen from the grave 00:37:49.23\00:37:54.07 He is the great I Am 00:37:54.30\00:38:00.68 All alone, He felt forsaken 00:38:04.15\00:38:10.02 In the garden, His heart was breaking 00:38:10.42\00:38:16.46 Yet He chose to die on Calvary 00:38:16.52\00:38:25.80 Jesus, blessed Savior and Redeemer 00:38:27.40\00:38:35.38 All to Him I now surrender 00:38:35.48\00:38:41.32 Could I do less after all He's done for me 00:38:41.78\00:38:50.19 He suffered Gethsemane 00:38:51.99\00:38:57.67 Through blood, sweat, and tears 00:38:58.10\00:39:02.50 Each drop of blood He shed 00:39:04.01\00:39:08.94 Bought me a million years 00:39:09.01\00:39:15.85 God's crowning sacrifice 00:39:16.45\00:39:22.39 His spotless Lamb 00:39:23.02\00:39:28.43 Now risen from the grave 00:39:29.00\00:39:33.54 He is the great I Am 00:39:33.94\00:39:40.61 He could have left us to die in our sin 00:39:43.38\00:39:49.18 Alone, forever lost 00:39:49.28\00:39:54.72 Oh, but grace would change how the story ends 00:39:54.86\00:40:01.46 Jesus' blood would pay the cost 00:40:01.96\00:40:09.74 He suffered Gethsemane 00:40:10.01\00:40:15.64 Through blood, sweat, and tears 00:40:16.01\00:40:21.35 Each drop of blood He shed 00:40:21.92\00:40:26.89 Bought me a million years 00:40:26.99\00:40:33.80 God's crowning sacrifice 00:40:34.36\00:40:40.57 His spotless Lamb 00:40:40.67\00:40:46.37 Now risen from the grave 00:40:46.47\00:40:51.41 He is the great I Am 00:40:51.88\00:40:58.45 God's crowning sacrifice 00:40:59.35\00:41:05.39 His spotless Lamb 00:41:05.49\00:41:13.77 Now risen from the grave 00:41:14.10\00:41:18.17 He is the great I Am 00:41:18.51\00:41:25.51 Now risen from the grave 00:41:25.95\00:41:30.62 He is the great I Am 00:41:31.22\00:41:41.06 Mm... 00:41:48.57\00:41:57.91 - Amen. Wow. Amazing. Thank you, Ryan, so much. 00:42:05.79\00:42:09.52 What a...just a beautiful delivery on this song that 00:42:09.59\00:42:13.56 talks about, when you think about Jesus in the garden 00:42:13.63\00:42:16.83 of Gethsemane, that He was willing to give His life for 00:42:16.93\00:42:21.27 you and me. It said that He sweat great drops of 00:42:21.34\00:42:24.47 blood...but each drop of blood bought you and me 00:42:24.57\00:42:27.88 a million years. I mean, think about eternity and 00:42:27.98\00:42:30.75 how it can go on and on and on. Sometimes, it's 00:42:30.85\00:42:33.98 almost mind-boggling-but the love that God has for 00:42:34.08\00:42:37.09 fallen man... Now we see through a glass darkly, 00:42:37.15\00:42:40.39 but then face to face... But someday, we'll understand 00:42:40.46\00:42:43.43 it better by and by. And to me, it's just an amazing 00:42:43.49\00:42:46.90 gift that God has given. So, our hope and prayer 00:42:47.00\00:42:49.83 is that each and every one of you accepts Jesus Christ 00:42:49.90\00:42:53.07 as Lord and Savior of your life, and all you have to do 00:42:53.17\00:42:55.80 is confess your sins. He's faithful and just to forgive 00:42:55.90\00:42:58.27 you from your sins, cleanse you from all unrighteousness, 00:42:58.37\00:43:01.24 then all you have to do is go and tell. That's what 00:43:01.34\00:43:03.58 Ryan's doing! He's doing it- what God has done for him. 00:43:03.65\00:43:06.25 His own personal testimony's his greatest asset right now, 00:43:07.72\00:43:10.69 because he's out singing or preaching, "This is what 00:43:10.75\00:43:14.06 Jesus has done for me." Ryan, thank you so much 00:43:14.12\00:43:16.76 for what you're doing. We don't have a lot of time 00:43:16.83\00:43:19.19 for the talking part; we're going to try to get in another 00:43:19.26\00:43:21.23 song, but you gotta tell us a little bit about when 00:43:21.30\00:43:23.23 we got you, we actually got a package, a deal, 00:43:23.30\00:43:26.47 and who's now also involved in the ministry. - That's 00:43:26.57\00:43:30.24 right. So my wife, when we were with Amazing Facts, 00:43:30.27\00:43:31.91 we traveled both together for five years on the road. 00:43:32.01\00:43:35.14 She had, you know, there at the last, she had a 00:43:35.98\00:43:38.51 little bit of an extended time where she taught 00:43:38.61\00:43:41.88 at another school before coming to 3ABN with me. 00:43:41.98\00:43:44.32 When we were making the decision to come here, 00:43:44.42\00:43:46.92 we wanted to make sure that her gifts were being 00:43:48.22\00:43:50.16 used, as well, and so we just prayed, "Lord, 00:43:50.23\00:43:53.03 if there's some way that Stephanie could also be 00:43:53.09\00:43:55.56 used for Your glory and her gifts be used for You"... 00:43:55.63\00:43:59.23 - But there really wasn't an opening that we could 00:43:59.30\00:44:01.34 see. - Yeah, there wasn't at the moment. - But she 00:44:01.40\00:44:03.27 said a great thing: "Well, I'd be willing to do production 00:44:03.34\00:44:06.04 if I needed to. I've had some experience, or 00:44:06.11\00:44:08.24 wherever you need me." So that, when you say you're 00:44:08.31\00:44:11.01 willing like that, it's amazing what God does. 00:44:11.08\00:44:13.75 - That's right; and this was actually before we 00:44:13.85\00:44:15.48 had actually formally come on as an employee when we 00:44:15.58\00:44:19.29 were here recording one day, and then the Lord 00:44:19.35\00:44:21.22 just opened an incredible door. The superintendent 00:44:21.32\00:44:23.32 of schools here was here on campus at 3ABN, or at 00:44:23.39\00:44:26.76 the school across the road, and she got to meet him, 00:44:26.83\00:44:28.86 and the rest is history. She's now the principal 00:44:28.96\00:44:31.97 and head teacher of the Thompsonville Junior Christian 00:44:32.03\00:44:34.64 Academy. - Amen. - So, it's a blessing. - Isn't that 00:44:34.70\00:44:36.84 amazing? - Absolutely. - I love it. So, for the 00:44:36.91\00:44:40.18 future, God's got big plans for the both of 00:44:40.28\00:44:43.68 you. - Absolutely! - And you're young enough that 00:44:43.78\00:44:45.85 He can use it, and it gives me great peace knowing 00:44:45.91\00:44:48.78 that we have people like Greg and Jill Morikone, 00:44:48.85\00:44:51.02 and we got Jason Bradley- you know, Dare to Dream- 00:44:51.12\00:44:54.42 we got Jason Bergmann in accounting, have you in 00:44:54.52\00:44:57.09 ministry, Tim Parton- a number of folks. So 00:44:57.16\00:45:01.00 as I'm getting older and older, you know, say, 00:45:01.06\00:45:03.30 "Well, should the Lord tarry?" 3ABN's in good 00:45:03.37\00:45:06.00 hands, and I'm so thankful that God is bringing the 00:45:06.07\00:45:08.37 right people here that have a burden to get an 00:45:08.44\00:45:11.87 undiluted three angels' messages-one that 00:45:11.94\00:45:14.18 would counteract the counterfeit into all the 00:45:14.24\00:45:16.85 world. What I'd like to do- Ryan, we do have time. 00:45:16.91\00:45:20.32 We'll come back and talk for a little bit more, but 00:45:20.42\00:45:22.12 I would like to go back and have you do- this 00:45:22.22\00:45:25.12 is a great song. Probably everybody listening to it 00:45:25.19\00:45:28.92 will know it. If not, it's time you learn 00:45:28.99\00:45:30.63 it! It's one of the greatest songs from my life. My dad 00:45:30.69\00:45:34.90 would sing it; I remember as a child in church, watching 00:45:34.96\00:45:38.03 my dad up front, singing, "Until Then." So right now, 00:45:38.13\00:45:41.44 sit back and be blessed as Ryan sings to you, "Until Then." 00:45:41.50\00:45:45.71 My heart can sing when I pause to remember 00:45:58.82\00:46:08.63 A heartache here is but a stepping stone 00:46:09.90\00:46:19.17 Along a trail that's winding always upward 00:46:20.94\00:46:30.62 This troubled world is not my final home 00:46:32.65\00:46:42.10 But until then my heart will go on singing 00:46:43.70\00:46:53.68 Until then with joy I'll carry on 00:46:55.14\00:47:04.95 Until the day my eyes behold that city 00:47:06.12\00:47:16.06 Until the day God calls me home 00:47:17.07\00:47:26.47 The things of earth will dim and lose their value 00:47:29.84\00:47:39.55 If we recall they're borrowed for a while 00:47:40.09\00:47:49.96 And things of earth that cause my heart to tremble 00:47:51.23\00:48:01.08 Remembered there will only bring a smile 00:48:02.91\00:48:12.12 But until then my heart will go on singing 00:48:13.89\00:48:22.93 Until then with joy I'll carry on 00:48:25.40\00:48:35.28 Until the day my eyes behold that city 00:48:36.64\00:48:46.15 Until the day God calls me home 00:48:47.56\00:48:57.10 Until the day my eyes behold that city 00:48:59.50\00:49:09.34 Until the day God calls me home 00:49:11.61\00:49:21.56 Until the day He calls me home 00:49:26.19\00:49:35.97 - Well, that's a two-hander right there. Just think about 00:49:46.45\00:49:48.88 it: when God calls us home, you know when 00:49:49.02\00:49:51.05 that will be? Now, some people say, "Well, if 00:49:51.15\00:49:53.56 I die today, He's going to call me home." No, 00:49:53.62\00:49:55.82 not then. We gotta sleep for a little while, sleep 00:49:55.92\00:49:58.33 in the grave, the Bible says, but at the Second 00:49:58.43\00:50:00.06 Coming, at the sound of the trump, the dead in 00:50:00.13\00:50:02.73 Christ shall rise first. We which are alive and remain shall 00:50:02.80\00:50:05.93 be caught up together with the Lord in the air. 00:50:06.03\00:50:08.97 What a glorious day that will be. But until then, 00:50:09.04\00:50:12.11 we need to hold on, keep the faith, don't be discouraged. 00:50:12.21\00:50:15.84 When things come against you, don't blame God; 00:50:15.98\00:50:18.31 blame the devil! He's the one that's out to steal, 00:50:18.41\00:50:20.48 kill, and to destroy. Jesus says, "I am come to give 00:50:20.52\00:50:23.45 you live and give it more abundantly." I don't know 00:50:23.49\00:50:25.79 about you, but I'm encouraged today to hear these songs of 00:50:25.85\00:50:28.16 faith, to hear Ryan's testimony... It's incredible 00:50:28.26\00:50:31.43 what God is doing. Just as He's orchestrating- 00:50:31.53\00:50:34.43 and Ryan, just as He's orchestrating your life, 00:50:34.50\00:50:37.23 each and every person watching this program today, Ryan, 00:50:37.33\00:50:40.94 you agree with me God is orchestrating their salvation, 00:50:41.04\00:50:44.51 and it's a matter of accepting that free gift. Why don't you 00:50:44.61\00:50:47.18 take just a couple minutes and you look into the camera 00:50:47.24\00:50:49.88 and talk to the folk today that, maybe, you're sitting 00:50:49.94\00:50:52.48 on the fence or trying to decide what they really 00:50:52.55\00:50:55.15 want to do with their lives. - Absolutely. You know, just 00:50:55.22\00:50:57.19 as you said-the Bible promises us that God, 00:50:57.29\00:50:59.85 He is the great Creator. He is the King of the cosmos; 00:50:59.92\00:51:03.06 and there is not a hair on your head that He doesn't 00:51:03.12\00:51:06.36 know about, and He loves each and every - the Bible 00:51:06.43\00:51:08.80 says God IS love. And you know, He displayed 00:51:08.90\00:51:12.97 that love on Mount Calvary when He gave each and 00:51:13.07\00:51:15.40 every drop of blood of His life and breath of 00:51:15.47\00:51:18.67 His life for us that we may have salvation. 00:51:18.77\00:51:21.74 You know, we're talking about ministry; we're 00:51:21.81\00:51:23.58 talking about preaching and singing, and all of 00:51:23.65\00:51:25.65 these things are great... It's not for our glory; 00:51:25.71\00:51:28.05 it's for His. I'm not the only one with a talent, 00:51:28.18\00:51:31.55 Danny. God has blessed each and every person 00:51:31.65\00:51:33.52 with a gift and a talent to use for Him, and 00:51:33.66\00:51:37.03 I want to encourage each and every person at home, 00:51:37.13\00:51:38.63 watching, that it's not too late, no matter 00:51:38.69\00:51:41.60 where you are in your walk with the Lord. 00:51:41.66\00:51:43.93 You may think you don't have a walk with the Lord- 00:51:44.03\00:51:46.60 it's still not too late. All you simply have to 00:51:46.67\00:51:48.54 do is call out to Him and say, "Lord, I 00:51:48.60\00:51:50.24 recognize that I am a sinner, and I recognize 00:51:50.31\00:51:52.34 that you gave your life that I may have life 00:51:52.44\00:51:56.08 more abundantly and be saved from my sin." 00:51:56.18\00:51:58.28 So I encourage you: give your heart to Jesus. 00:51:58.35\00:52:00.35 Simply kneel- you could do it no matter where 00:52:00.42\00:52:02.15 you are; you could be at home, you could be at 00:52:02.22\00:52:04.09 work, you could be driving down the road. You could 00:52:04.19\00:52:05.89 be listening to this incredible CD! And to encourage you to 00:52:05.95\00:52:10.33 give your heart to Jesus. I encourage you to do so 00:52:10.43\00:52:12.16 while you still have time, because Jesus IS alive. 00:52:12.26\00:52:15.26 He is still living and He is still working 00:52:15.36\00:52:18.00 among His people, and He will come again for His 00:52:18.07\00:52:20.90 people who are prepared and ready for His return. 00:52:20.97\00:52:23.74 - Amen. Thank you so much. When we think 00:52:23.81\00:52:26.98 about it, you know, the goodness of God, again, 00:52:27.04\00:52:30.21 it makes each of us- we feel so unworthy, 00:52:30.28\00:52:33.01 but really, we should, because we're not worthy. 00:52:33.11\00:52:35.38 But as you said, God is love. - He is love. - And 00:52:35.48\00:52:38.15 so again, I'm so thankful today for you and for your 00:52:38.22\00:52:41.06 music that you're doing and for this new CD that 00:52:41.12\00:52:44.19 we have right here that I'm hanging onto...in just 00:52:44.26\00:52:47.26 a minute, this new CD... Tim was playing 00:53:07.85\00:53:10.02 quite a bit on the music you were singing then, 00:53:10.09\00:53:13.19 but an incredible piano player; he's really gifted. 00:53:13.25\00:53:16.06 And the two of them together is a lot of fun, and they'll 00:53:16.12\00:53:18.33 minister to you.
