place very visual.

bit about the process

First of all,
what is this image?

thing that we had to do

was find a tree
because we wanted to carve it.

I was traveling across
the country with my wife.

My wife is actually the
one that came up with the idea.

But she was saying,

well, maybe we could
have like a 10 foot statue

to help an
evangelist to do evangelism.

And as we drove
across the country,

it just kept getting
bigger and bigger and bigger.

And I went to meet
with the church group.

And as I was talking to
people, I said, you know what,

does this sound
crazy to build a statue

and make it, you
know, big and everything.

But I don't know
how to do any carving.

And does anybody know a carver?

And so the people
started pointing at this guy.

And I said, "Do you
know how to do carving?"

And the amazing part
of the story is he said,

you know, I'm
not a Bible preacher.

You know, I don't really know

how to do a lot of
different things in evangelism.

Of course he hands out material

and talks to people
on a one on one basis.

He said, but the only
thing I know how to do is carve.

And he said two weeks
ago, I was praying to the Lord.

And I asked him,

"Can you give me a
way to use the gift

that you've given
me to reach people?"

Wow.

And so when he
said that, I said,

"Well, this has
to be providential."

Wow, look at God.

And so that started the process,

but it took us two
years to find a tree

that was harvestable

to be able to
carve into the statue.

And so this process,

we got the tree in
Eureka, California,

and then we brought
it up to Idaho to carve.

Well, let's take a
look at that video.

and bow down to them.

But He then told Moses and Aaron

the Ark of the Covenant,

a pleasure resort.

It was a crossroad center.

And so people would come,

they would hear the
message that Jesus would share

and then they
would take that message

to foreign distant lands.

a place like Las Vegas

encouraged, we're counseled

to go to these
pleasure resort places.

People are seeking things. Yes.

Sure, they're looking
for, you know, get rich quick,

but they're looking
for, to fill a hole,

a void in their life.

And so if we can be there
and we can share the gospel

people that are coming

and, you know, this
technique is amazing

is, they see this image,

it looks totally pagan
