Good, good. 00:01:36.96\00:01:38.66 I've seen Lineage Journey and the quality is so amazing. 00:01:38.69\00:01:45.67 I want to find out a little bit about your backgrounds 00:01:45.70\00:01:49.60 and, you know, what it took to get this project 00:01:49.64\00:01:54.38 to come together, 00:01:54.41\00:01:55.74 how long it took, 00:01:55.78\00:01:57.15 we're going to get into all that. 00:01:57.18\00:01:58.51 But before we jump in to the meat of the interview, 00:01:58.55\00:02:01.15 I want to go to a song by Matt Throgmorton 00:02:01.18\00:02:05.62 entitled "Consider the Lilies." 00:02:05.65\00:02:07.82 Consider the lilies 00:02:32.25\00:02:36.52 They don't toil nor spin 00:02:36.55\00:02:41.29 But there's not a king 00:02:41.32\00:02:44.86 With more splendor than them 00:02:44.89\00:02:50.37 Consider the sparrows 00:02:50.40\00:02:54.14 They don't plant nor sow 00:02:54.17\00:02:58.84 But they're fed by the master 00:02:58.87\00:03:03.65 Who watches them grow 00:03:03.68\00:03:10.69 We have a Heavenly Father 00:03:10.72\00:03:17.36 Above 00:03:17.43\00:03:19.73 With eyes full of mercy 00:03:19.76\00:03:24.10 And a heart full of love 00:03:24.17\00:03:29.24 He really cares 00:03:29.27\00:03:33.17 When your head is bowed low 00:03:33.21\00:03:38.15 Consider the lilies 00:03:38.18\00:03:42.65 And then you will know 00:03:42.68\00:03:48.12 May I introduce you to this friend of mine 00:03:54.90\00:04:02.80 Who hangs out the stars, 00:04:02.84\00:04:07.88 tells the sun when to shine 00:04:07.91\00:04:12.78 And kisses the flowers 00:04:12.81\00:04:17.39 each morning with dew 00:04:17.42\00:04:21.96 But He's not too busy 00:04:21.99\00:04:26.53 to care about you 00:04:26.56\00:04:33.84 We have a Heavenly Father 00:04:33.87\00:04:40.48 Above 00:04:40.51\00:04:42.74 With eyes full of mercy 00:04:42.78\00:04:47.22 And a heart full of love 00:04:47.25\00:04:52.19 He really cares 00:04:52.22\00:04:56.19 When your head is bowed low 00:04:56.22\00:05:01.16 Consider the lilies 00:05:01.20\00:05:05.73 And then you will know 00:05:05.77\00:05:11.77 Oh, yes, He cares 00:05:19.01\00:05:23.92 I know He cares 00:05:23.99\00:05:29.26 His heart is touched 00:05:29.29\00:05:33.06 with my grief 00:05:33.09\00:05:38.90 When the days are weary 00:05:38.93\00:05:44.47 The long nights dreary 00:05:44.51\00:05:51.78 Consider the lilies 00:05:51.81\00:05:56.48 and then you will know 00:05:56.52\00:06:02.92 He cares 00:06:05.76\00:06:11.80 Wow, what a beautiful song. 00:06:17.01\00:06:19.17 "Consider the Lilies." 00:06:19.21\00:06:21.38 Adam, I want to find out 00:06:21.41\00:06:22.98 a little bit about your background. 00:06:23.01\00:06:24.95 Were you raised Adventist? 00:06:24.98\00:06:27.88 So you were raised Adventist? 00:06:27.92\00:06:29.25 I was raised Adventist, 00:06:29.28\00:06:30.62 both my parents, brother and sister, 00:06:30.69\00:06:32.02 neither of them came from Adventist home. 00:06:32.05\00:06:33.69 So, I was born and raised in England, 00:06:33.76\00:06:35.46 grew up over there. 00:06:35.49\00:06:37.23 So raised in the church, 00:06:37.26\00:06:38.76 wasn't baptized till I was 19 though, 00:06:38.79\00:06:40.83 and then I went to do some studies 00:06:40.90\00:06:42.73 and got into ministry in my 20s. 00:06:42.76\00:06:45.47 Okay, and what about you, Clive? 00:06:45.50\00:06:48.10 Pretty similar experience with my parents anyway. 00:06:48.14\00:06:50.61 My mom wasn't raised Adventist, my dad was 00:06:50.64\00:06:54.01 and then I was raised Adventist, 00:06:54.08\00:06:55.68 but kind of as a young person growing up in church, 00:06:55.71\00:06:58.58 you kind of get lost 00:06:58.61\00:07:00.05 and kind of left it mentally anyway. 00:07:00.12\00:07:03.39 And it was really through some life changing experiences 00:07:03.42\00:07:05.55 in my late teens and early 20s 00:07:05.59\00:07:08.92 that really changed my life around 00:07:08.96\00:07:10.43 and I found Christ again. 00:07:10.46\00:07:12.36 Amen. 00:07:12.39\00:07:13.73 Adam, you're no stranger to 3ABN. 00:07:13.80\00:07:16.43 I've been here a couple of times, yeah. 00:07:16.46\00:07:17.80 Yeah. 00:07:17.83\00:07:19.67 What growth have you seen since you've been here? 00:07:19.70\00:07:23.61 Growth with the...? 00:07:23.64\00:07:24.97 With Lineage. Okay. 00:07:25.01\00:07:26.34 Yeah, we came about year and a half ago, 00:07:26.37\00:07:28.61 we were filming, 00:07:28.64\00:07:29.98 we were releasing what we call Season One. 00:07:30.05\00:07:32.21 And we're filming 00:07:32.25\00:07:33.62 in the process of filming Season Two. 00:07:33.65\00:07:35.58 So since then we've obviously finished Season One, 00:07:35.62\00:07:38.99 we took a six month break, 00:07:39.02\00:07:40.36 and then we started releasing Season Two. 00:07:40.39\00:07:41.72 We're actually almost completed releasing season two so, 00:07:41.76\00:07:44.79 in that time, since we last came, 00:07:44.83\00:07:46.23 it's grown a lot in terms of the countries 00:07:46.26\00:07:47.93 that it's been viewed in, 00:07:47.96\00:07:49.83 and obviously the number of people 00:07:49.86\00:07:51.20 who have been watching it and where it's been watched. 00:07:51.23\00:07:52.60 So it's been quite remarkable to see that growth. 00:07:52.63\00:07:55.44 It was never something we knew would, 00:07:55.47\00:07:57.51 or expect it will happen, 00:07:57.54\00:07:58.87 or thought would happen, we just thought, 00:07:58.91\00:08:00.24 "Yeah, few people here and there might watch it." 00:08:00.28\00:08:02.21 If you had to throw out a number 00:08:02.24\00:08:03.58 how many people would you say have been reached? 00:08:03.65\00:08:08.72 Just shy of 3 million. 00:08:08.75\00:08:10.52 Wow! 00:08:10.59\00:08:11.92 Well, that's taking into account Facebook views, 00:08:11.95\00:08:15.06 YouTube views, Video views, and the website and so on. 00:08:15.09\00:08:19.03 But the real number we don't really know. 00:08:19.06\00:08:20.83 Obviously, we don't know, I mean, 00:08:20.90\00:08:22.23 that's the digital number you get. 00:08:22.26\00:08:23.60 But a lot of the testimonies we get back in 00:08:23.63\00:08:26.20 is that people who are watching it 00:08:26.23\00:08:27.64 are watching it in schools, like classrooms, 00:08:27.67\00:08:30.51 or they're watching in Sabbath schools, 00:08:30.54\00:08:31.87 or they're watching it, a lot of churches show 00:08:31.91\00:08:33.68 at the end of Sabbath school or divine service. 00:08:33.71\00:08:36.11 So, you know, it may be one view, 00:08:36.14\00:08:38.55 but 200 people watch it, 00:08:38.58\00:08:40.02 so we don't really know exactly. 00:08:40.05\00:08:41.68 Nice. 00:08:41.72\00:08:43.05 So, you said, churches are showing it 00:08:43.08\00:08:44.42 in Sabbath schools 00:08:44.45\00:08:45.79 and all other southern schools are showing it. 00:08:45.82\00:08:47.16 What kind of... 00:08:47.19\00:08:48.69 How do they use that like, is it, 00:08:48.72\00:08:51.46 can they do seminars with it, I mean, how's that work? 00:08:51.49\00:08:55.06 Well, I know for example, my home church, 00:08:55.10\00:08:58.07 they kind of do it as a youth program 00:08:58.10\00:09:00.37 and they have the youth watch the episode 00:09:00.44\00:09:02.50 and then they have a discussion about it. 00:09:02.54\00:09:04.24 Where on other churches who kind of use it and play it 00:09:04.31\00:09:06.51 in between Sabbath school and divine service, 00:09:06.54\00:09:08.11 it's like a filler, 00:09:08.14\00:09:09.48 and especially the 500 year anniversary 00:09:09.51\00:09:12.28 of the Reformation in 2017, you know, 00:09:12.31\00:09:14.82 all the churches were talking about Reformation 00:09:14.85\00:09:16.62 and what was happening in the Reformation. 00:09:16.69\00:09:18.45 So it was really good for especially church members 00:09:18.49\00:09:21.66 to kind of learn history, learn the background 00:09:21.69\00:09:23.53 of, you know, the origins of roots of Protestantism. 00:09:23.56\00:09:27.50 So, yeah, it's being used in multiple ways, 00:09:27.53\00:09:32.13 whether young, old, 00:09:32.17\00:09:34.47 everyone's kind of taking the information 00:09:34.50\00:09:37.41 and learning just tons of information. 00:09:37.44\00:09:40.08 Praise the Lord. 00:09:40.11\00:09:41.44 Now, how did you come up with the name? 00:09:41.48\00:09:43.75 Good question. 00:09:43.78\00:09:45.45 So the idea was Clive's idea... Okay. 00:09:45.48\00:09:47.42 He originally approached me 00:09:47.45\00:09:48.95 on the steps of the British Museum and said, 00:09:48.98\00:09:50.32 "Hey, do you want to film some videos 00:09:50.39\00:09:52.15 on Reformation history here in England, 00:09:52.19\00:09:55.06 we've got the British Museum, 00:09:55.09\00:09:56.42 we've got John Wesley's home and so on." 00:09:56.46\00:09:58.06 And then we thought, 00:09:58.09\00:09:59.43 well, let's go to Oxford, and Cambridge, 00:09:59.46\00:10:00.80 and Lutterworth where John Wycliffe was from 00:10:00.83\00:10:02.23 and then we thought Scotland. 00:10:02.26\00:10:04.07 So we kind of built this idea, but we were still... 00:10:04.10\00:10:07.80 And then the idea was to have a series that would go weekly. 00:10:07.84\00:10:11.27 So one episode a week throughout the year. 00:10:11.31\00:10:13.88 So that was the idea, weekly episodes. 00:10:13.91\00:10:16.38 And then thinking of a name, we brainstormed a lot of ideas. 00:10:16.41\00:10:20.75 And it was actually... 00:10:20.82\00:10:23.08 So we're thinking of all these ideas, 00:10:23.12\00:10:24.45 and some of them now I look back, 00:10:24.49\00:10:25.82 I'm so glad we didn't pick them. 00:10:25.85\00:10:27.96 Lineage, it's kind of has a ring to it. 00:10:27.99\00:10:29.52 It's just one word and whatnot. 00:10:29.56\00:10:31.03 But the idea kind of behind the name 00:10:31.06\00:10:32.53 was that the episodes were chronological. 00:10:32.56\00:10:35.96 So we started with Constantine. 00:10:36.00\00:10:37.50 Then we went all the way up to say, the end of the 1700s. 00:10:37.57\00:10:40.34 And each episode was chronological. 00:10:40.37\00:10:42.90 So the idea behind lineage was we're tracing the story 00:10:42.94\00:10:47.58 of our heritage, of our history through time. 00:10:47.61\00:10:51.45 So then, lineage journey, 00:10:51.48\00:10:52.81 you know, the journey of our lineage 00:10:52.85\00:10:54.82 and how we can trace that through time. 00:10:54.85\00:10:57.29 Nice. 00:10:57.32\00:10:58.82 So, have you always been into history? 00:10:58.85\00:11:02.52 Personally, I have, yeah. 00:11:02.56\00:11:03.93 Yeah. What about you, Clive? 00:11:03.96\00:11:05.29 I wouldn't say I was, 00:11:05.33\00:11:06.66 especially in school, I definitely wasn't. 00:11:06.70\00:11:08.03 But as I became an Adventist 00:11:08.06\00:11:09.40 and really found the Lord again, 00:11:09.43\00:11:10.77 especially after reading the Great Controversy, 00:11:10.80\00:11:13.17 that's when my mind really just got unlocked. 00:11:13.20\00:11:15.90 And when I started to visualize, I'm a creative. 00:11:15.94\00:11:18.24 So I started to visualize a lot of the stuff, 00:11:18.27\00:11:20.01 you know, went on to YouTube, 00:11:20.08\00:11:21.41 try to find, you know, good representations, 00:11:21.44\00:11:23.95 good videos, I just couldn't find that stuff. 00:11:23.98\00:11:27.22 So I guess, to answer your question, 00:11:27.25\00:11:29.68 no, I haven't always been in history, 00:11:29.72\00:11:31.05 but as an Adventist, yes, I have been into history. 00:11:31.09\00:11:33.76 And why do you guys think it's so important 00:11:33.79\00:11:35.92 to be aware of your history? 00:11:35.96\00:11:39.63 I think, for me, 00:11:39.66\00:11:41.00 history and identity are so tied together. 00:11:41.03\00:11:43.16 And you know, a lot of people 00:11:43.20\00:11:44.60 they wanted to know where they come from, 00:11:44.63\00:11:46.27 as you know, ethnicity or they want to know 00:11:46.30\00:11:48.04 about family heritage is or, you know, 00:11:48.07\00:11:49.90 let me trace my family tree and all that kind of stuff. 00:11:49.94\00:11:51.84 So we have an interest on a personal level, 00:11:51.87\00:11:53.78 but I think spiritually, increasingly 00:11:53.81\00:11:55.71 as Christians or as Adventists. 00:11:55.74\00:11:58.38 The younger generation is not always aware like, 00:11:58.41\00:12:00.62 what happened 50 years ago, 100 years ago, 00:12:00.65\00:12:02.75 but it's interesting to know those, 00:12:02.78\00:12:04.12 I believe those stories 00:12:04.19\00:12:05.52 'cause it plays a part in shaping who we are today. 00:12:05.55\00:12:07.89 And so knowing your past helps you to understand 00:12:07.92\00:12:10.73 why you're here in the present, really. 00:12:10.76\00:12:12.86 And also helps you to understand the future. 00:12:12.89\00:12:14.63 Yes, yes. 00:12:14.66\00:12:16.00 'Cause they say history has a tendency 00:12:16.03\00:12:17.97 or a way of repeating itself... 00:12:18.00\00:12:19.33 Yeah, it does unfortunately, 00:12:19.37\00:12:20.87 and try and learn the lessons from the past and yeah... 00:12:20.94\00:12:23.61 Absolutely. Now, how many... 00:12:23.64\00:12:25.34 I know you said that you want to show 00:12:25.37\00:12:27.18 like an episode a week. 00:12:27.21\00:12:29.48 So how many episodes are in a season? 00:12:29.51\00:12:32.55 Initially, Season One was gonna be, you know, 00:12:32.58\00:12:35.95 the full 52 weeks but it didn't quite work out. 00:12:35.98\00:12:38.75 So it was only 48. 00:12:38.79\00:12:40.46 Okay, okay. 00:12:40.49\00:12:41.96 But 48 is enough. 00:12:41.99\00:12:43.86 This guy will tell you it was a lot. 00:12:43.93\00:12:45.26 Yeah, it was a lot of work. 00:12:45.29\00:12:46.63 But then Season Two, 00:12:46.66\00:12:48.00 we kind of made up for that and we did 52 00:12:48.03\00:12:50.97 so in total for season one and two, 00:12:51.00\00:12:52.70 we have 100 episodes. 00:12:52.73\00:12:54.67 Plus loads of, you know, behind the scenes videos. 00:12:54.70\00:12:57.87 We also have Season One, 00:12:57.91\00:13:01.41 a lot of the videos have 360 video as well. 00:13:01.44\00:13:04.48 So young people can kind of explore the locations 00:13:04.51\00:13:07.35 to where these things took place in 360 degree video. 00:13:07.42\00:13:10.79 And, so yeah, 00:13:10.82\00:13:12.15 we have quite a lot of episodes. 00:13:12.19\00:13:13.56 And I would say 00:13:13.59\00:13:14.92 there's probably about 60, 360 videos, 00:13:14.96\00:13:18.39 and maybe about 10 behind the scenes videos. 00:13:18.43\00:13:20.10 So we're looking at about 170, something like that. 00:13:20.13\00:13:22.60 Yeah. Wow. 00:13:22.63\00:13:23.97 And what's your creative process? 00:13:24.00\00:13:25.33 When you're thinking about, 00:13:25.37\00:13:26.74 you know, creating these episodes, 00:13:26.77\00:13:29.74 what's your process? 00:13:29.77\00:13:31.11 What are you thinking about while you're developing this? 00:13:31.14\00:13:33.98 I mean, for me, 00:13:34.01\00:13:35.34 I'm really thinking about how is this history, 00:13:35.38\00:13:38.11 which often enough 00:13:38.15\00:13:39.48 to the average person may be boring? 00:13:39.51\00:13:41.35 How can we make that boring history 00:13:41.38\00:13:43.89 relevant to someone in their life, you know, 00:13:43.92\00:13:46.02 but then also the message has to be relevant, 00:13:46.05\00:13:48.09 which is why there's an evangelistic appeal 00:13:48.12\00:13:50.53 at the end of every single episode, 00:13:50.56\00:13:52.16 but also visually how is it gonna be appealing. 00:13:52.19\00:13:54.46 You know, often enough stuff can be very low quality 00:13:54.50\00:13:57.37 or, you know, it may not be to a very high standard 00:13:57.40\00:14:00.54 but, you know, 00:14:00.57\00:14:01.90 young people want to see good quality stuff. 00:14:01.94\00:14:04.21 And, you know, 00:14:04.24\00:14:05.57 one of the things that we were thinking about 00:14:05.61\00:14:06.94 is on social media for example, on YouTube or an Instagram, 00:14:06.98\00:14:10.95 you have probably up to three seconds 00:14:10.98\00:14:12.71 to reach someone before they just scroll past. 00:14:12.75\00:14:14.48 Yes. 00:14:14.52\00:14:15.85 So that's why, you know, at the beginning 00:14:15.88\00:14:17.29 of every single Lineage episode, 00:14:17.32\00:14:18.89 there's really fast paced imagery 00:14:18.92\00:14:22.19 within the first three seconds 00:14:22.22\00:14:23.56 it's this, you know, really fast paced clips 00:14:23.63\00:14:25.56 to kind of grab someone's attention 00:14:25.59\00:14:27.50 so that it will draw them into want to watch the rest 00:14:27.53\00:14:29.73 of the three to five minute video. 00:14:29.76\00:14:31.87 Um, so yeah, really important 00:14:31.90\00:14:33.64 in terms of the creative processes 00:14:33.67\00:14:35.07 is the message obviously, also, how is that gonna, 00:14:35.10\00:14:37.94 how is that message going to be portrayed visually. 00:14:37.97\00:14:42.11 So there's a science behind it? Yes, definitely. 00:14:42.14\00:14:44.38 We've also tried to make 00:14:44.41\00:14:45.75 as much of the filming on location. 00:14:45.78\00:14:49.38 So rather than, you know, 00:14:49.42\00:14:51.15 a green screen or something and there's no problem, 00:14:51.19\00:14:53.39 you know, some people have to use it, 00:14:53.46\00:14:54.96 but we've tried as much as possible that way. 00:14:54.99\00:14:56.86 If I'm talking about John Wycliffe, 00:14:56.93\00:14:58.26 I'm standing by his church or we're talking 00:14:58.29\00:15:00.50 and I think that gives it an added, I don't know, 00:15:00.53\00:15:03.77 realness or what it would be like, 00:15:03.80\00:15:05.43 we're talking about Jan Hus. 00:15:05.47\00:15:07.17 I'm standing where he died, 00:15:07.24\00:15:08.57 or we're talking about William Miller, 00:15:08.60\00:15:10.21 and we're in his house. 00:15:10.24\00:15:11.57 So it gives that connection. 00:15:11.61\00:15:12.97 It's not just... 00:15:13.01\00:15:14.81 So it shows that, you know, we went to the places 00:15:14.84\00:15:17.78 and the filming was on location. 00:15:17.81\00:15:20.52 I think with like 00:15:20.55\00:15:21.88 this millennial generation that we have, 00:15:21.92\00:15:24.12 it's not enough just to read it in books. 00:15:24.19\00:15:26.42 Sometimes, and some people don't even read books, 00:15:26.45\00:15:28.12 you know, but it's not enough. 00:15:28.16\00:15:29.49 People want to kind of see what you're talking about. 00:15:29.52\00:15:32.93 So that's why, you know, being on location helps people 00:15:32.96\00:15:35.03 to explore those places. 00:15:35.06\00:15:36.40 This is where, you know, Martin Luther stood up. 00:15:36.43\00:15:39.43 This is where, you know, John Wycliffe, you know, 00:15:39.47\00:15:43.17 what this process is, this is the physical location 00:15:43.20\00:15:45.51 where these things took place. 00:15:45.54\00:15:46.88 It really brings it to life. 00:15:46.91\00:15:48.38 Exactly. 00:15:48.41\00:15:49.74 So okay, so when you're recording these episodes, 00:15:49.78\00:15:52.11 and, you know, from start to finish, 00:15:52.15\00:15:54.22 give us an idea of, let's say your... 00:15:54.25\00:15:59.92 not the creative process, we talked about that. 00:15:59.95\00:16:02.16 But from start to finish, how long does it take? 00:16:02.19\00:16:05.19 To film or to edit it? 00:16:05.23\00:16:06.70 To film from start to finish, 00:16:06.73\00:16:08.36 filming, editing, planning, the whole nine. 00:16:08.40\00:16:13.34 I mean, the filming, 00:16:13.37\00:16:15.04 if all the filming stays in one area 00:16:15.07\00:16:17.21 where we can walk to all different, 00:16:17.24\00:16:18.94 we do all the different shots 00:16:18.97\00:16:20.88 roughly four, four hours roughly. 00:16:20.91\00:16:24.71 By that time you do the drone shots, 00:16:24.75\00:16:26.08 the B-roll, the dialogue and memorizing it and whatnot. 00:16:26.11\00:16:30.32 So probably about four hours. 00:16:30.39\00:16:32.45 Four hours of recording, really? 00:16:32.49\00:16:33.86 Maybe three, maybe three. 00:16:33.89\00:16:35.22 It also depends on, you know, a lot of the time, 00:16:35.26\00:16:38.76 the physical locations are in different places. 00:16:38.79\00:16:41.20 So sometimes we have to travel in between that. 00:16:41.23\00:16:43.20 But if we were to just do it from start to finish, 00:16:43.23\00:16:45.53 probably filming wise, four hours, 00:16:45.57\00:16:47.67 typically, in terms of trying to save money, 00:16:47.70\00:16:51.21 we've had to do things really quickly. 00:16:51.24\00:16:53.41 So we're kind of in and we're out 00:16:53.48\00:16:54.81 and on to the next location. 00:16:54.84\00:16:56.18 He's always like "Oh, I got 6% of battery life. 00:16:56.21\00:16:57.78 You got to get it right in one shot." 00:16:57.81\00:16:59.75 You gotta do in one take, you know. 00:16:59.78\00:17:02.25 Yeah, no pressure, no pressure. 00:17:02.28\00:17:05.15 But in terms of the editing process 00:17:05.19\00:17:08.09 Season One typically per episode 00:17:08.12\00:17:10.73 took two to three days. 00:17:10.76\00:17:12.36 Season Two has taken so about one to two days. 00:17:12.39\00:17:16.50 That's because, you know, we've been able 00:17:16.53\00:17:17.87 to refine the process and review. 00:17:17.90\00:17:19.23 After Season One I was able to review things 00:17:19.27\00:17:20.84 and see how was a better way of doing it, 00:17:20.87\00:17:23.41 you're able to cut down the time a little bit, 00:17:23.44\00:17:25.57 but it's still very time consuming. 00:17:25.61\00:17:27.11 So you're talking about, you know, 00:17:27.18\00:17:28.71 at least three or four days per episode 00:17:28.74\00:17:30.35 and that's not including the script writing 00:17:30.38\00:17:32.01 and the logistics and the planning 00:17:32.05\00:17:33.42 and all that kind of stuff. 00:17:33.45\00:17:34.78 Three to four days per episode. 00:17:34.82\00:17:36.15 Okay, so it's not two to three days 00:17:36.18\00:17:37.72 for all 50 something... 00:17:37.75\00:17:39.29 No, no, no. 00:17:39.32\00:17:41.39 Okay, I was about to say that is incredibly fast. 00:17:41.42\00:17:45.13 Now, if we knew all the work before we start the project 00:17:45.16\00:17:49.73 and some of it so like you film a lot on location, right. 00:17:49.76\00:17:54.04 So you have to climb mountains and stuff 00:17:54.07\00:17:56.81 where like to get some of these shots. 00:17:56.84\00:17:58.17 Yeah, I mean, 00:17:58.21\00:17:59.54 some of the first season was a lot in Europe. 00:17:59.57\00:18:00.91 So a lot of it was in the capitals, 00:18:00.94\00:18:02.44 the cathedrals and places like that. 00:18:02.48\00:18:05.45 And there were some places we climbed the mountain, 00:18:05.48\00:18:06.85 the Waldensian episode we climbed the mountain 00:18:06.92\00:18:09.38 to film at sunrise. 00:18:09.42\00:18:10.89 And so we had to leave at like, 4 o'clock in the morning 00:18:10.92\00:18:13.56 or 5 to climb up and we got there. 00:18:13.59\00:18:16.26 At least Clive got there on the sunrise, 00:18:16.29\00:18:18.26 I was a little bit behind him. 00:18:18.29\00:18:21.63 Season Two was Adventist history. 00:18:21.66\00:18:23.03 And that was a completely different... 00:18:23.06\00:18:26.23 For the most part completely different 00:18:26.27\00:18:27.64 because instead of going to like big austere cathedrals 00:18:27.67\00:18:30.91 and, you know, 00:18:30.94\00:18:32.27 seeing reformation statues and monuments, 00:18:32.31\00:18:34.64 we were traveling like New England and New York, 00:18:34.68\00:18:37.91 just tiny little farms and little villages. 00:18:37.95\00:18:40.45 And it was an interesting contrast 00:18:40.52\00:18:42.02 to see the contrast between say the Reformation origins 00:18:42.05\00:18:44.42 and then seeing the origins of Adventism, 00:18:44.45\00:18:47.06 which was very humble 00:18:47.09\00:18:48.92 and very, to the average view insignificant. 00:18:48.96\00:18:52.96 But yet to see 00:18:52.99\00:18:54.33 where our history has come from, 00:18:54.36\00:18:55.70 from really humble beginnings to where we are today 00:18:55.73\00:18:58.20 is pretty, pretty amazing. 00:18:58.23\00:19:00.27 And I think Season One was also challenging at times 00:19:00.34\00:19:03.10 because we were filming and editing at the same time, 00:19:03.14\00:19:06.21 you know, so, like Adam just mentioned 00:19:06.24\00:19:08.84 that one morning where we climbed up Monte Castello 00:19:08.88\00:19:11.78 so to go film an episode on the Waldensian Valley, 00:19:11.81\00:19:14.02 and the night before, 00:19:14.05\00:19:15.75 we had an episode coming out that very morning, 00:19:15.78\00:19:18.39 and I was editing until 3 am 00:19:18.42\00:19:20.39 to then wake up at 5 to climb a mountain, you know, 00:19:20.46\00:19:23.63 and but the process was... 00:19:23.66\00:19:26.19 Because we were very new to this, 00:19:26.23\00:19:27.60 it kind of grew organically and so fast, you know, 00:19:27.63\00:19:31.33 there wasn't much time to kind of refine things, 00:19:31.37\00:19:33.84 but we managed to do that for Season Two. 00:19:33.87\00:19:36.57 But I mean, even just making stuff 00:19:36.60\00:19:38.04 visually interesting for Season Two. 00:19:38.07\00:19:39.51 Season One like Adam said, 00:19:39.54\00:19:40.88 monuments and that kind of stuff 00:19:40.91\00:19:42.24 but we have an episode of Season One 00:19:42.28\00:19:44.25 on the potato patch preachers, 00:19:44.28\00:19:45.61 you know, how do you make 00:19:45.65\00:19:46.98 a potato farm field look interesting. 00:19:47.02\00:19:49.25 These are some of the challenges 00:19:49.28\00:19:50.62 that we had to get through and... 00:19:50.69\00:19:52.02 Man, how did you make? 00:19:52.05\00:19:53.39 How did you do that? 00:19:53.42\00:19:55.66 Watch the episode and you'll find out. 00:19:55.69\00:19:59.73 And we actually have some video that we are going to show. 00:19:59.76\00:20:04.00 And tell us a little bit about the first one 00:20:04.07\00:20:05.93 that we're going to take a look at. 00:20:05.97\00:20:07.34 Probably the easiest one to make visually interesting 00:20:07.37\00:20:08.87 was the one on Adventist education. 00:20:08.90\00:20:12.24 So we were talking about the history of Adventism, 00:20:12.27\00:20:14.41 but then key to Adventist, you know, our church, 00:20:14.44\00:20:17.48 the Adventist Church is focused on education. 00:20:17.55\00:20:20.52 So we did an episode 00:20:20.55\00:20:21.88 on how the Adventist education started, 00:20:21.92\00:20:24.09 where the vision came from, 00:20:24.12\00:20:25.49 the focus on education, a holistic education 00:20:25.52\00:20:27.59 that it wasn't just kind of academic achievement, 00:20:27.66\00:20:30.26 but it was the education of the whole person. 00:20:30.33\00:20:32.56 And it was mission minded, and it was Bible based, etc. 00:20:32.59\00:20:36.56 And when we released that episode 00:20:36.60\00:20:39.00 we actually put out on social media, 00:20:39.03\00:20:40.44 on Facebook and Instagram. 00:20:40.47\00:20:41.87 If you've got video clips of your Adventist schools, 00:20:41.90\00:20:43.84 please send them into us. 00:20:43.91\00:20:45.54 And we had an amazing support around the world 00:20:45.57\00:20:47.51 of people sending us clips from Korea 00:20:47.58\00:20:49.31 and different parts of Africa, South America, and Europe. 00:20:49.34\00:20:52.21 And so that episode, 00:20:52.25\00:20:53.82 we were able to get video clips kind of worldwide, 00:20:53.85\00:20:57.19 threw in worldwide Adventism education today 00:20:57.22\00:21:00.76 and people really connected with that 00:21:00.79\00:21:02.36 when they saw their school or their alma mater, you know, 00:21:02.39\00:21:04.59 on that and so that was a real blessing 00:21:04.63\00:21:07.73 that episode so... 00:21:07.76\00:21:09.10 Wow. 00:21:09.13\00:21:10.47 Well, we might as well show it right now. 00:21:10.50\00:21:11.83 Let's check out 00:21:11.87\00:21:13.20 the birth of Adventist education. 00:21:13.23\00:21:14.57 The Adventist Church was in its infancy 00:21:32.52\00:21:35.12 with a membership that was only in the tens of thousands 00:21:35.16\00:21:38.96 and yet it had already made ventures 00:21:38.99\00:21:41.46 into the publishing work and the health work. 00:21:41.50\00:21:44.00 Despite a small membership, it would soon move 00:21:44.07\00:21:47.04 into the educational field as well 00:21:47.07\00:21:49.90 with a vision far greater 00:21:49.94\00:21:52.04 than the reality of church life at the time. 00:21:52.07\00:21:55.48 A school had started in 1868 by Goodloe Harper Bell, 00:21:55.51\00:22:00.12 that was supported locally here in Battle Creek. 00:22:00.15\00:22:03.49 But in 1872, James and Ellen White 00:22:03.52\00:22:06.76 would call for the upgrading of this school 00:22:06.79\00:22:09.19 into an advanced educational institution 00:22:09.22\00:22:12.03 and also for the denomination to support the school. 00:22:12.06\00:22:16.23 As guidance for the school, 00:22:22.27\00:22:23.74 Ellen White wrote testimony for the church number 22, 00:22:23.81\00:22:27.58 where she developed the fundamental principle 00:22:27.61\00:22:30.05 of the correlation between the physical, mental, 00:22:30.08\00:22:33.28 moral and religious aspects of education. 00:22:33.31\00:22:36.89 The Bible was not to be just an elective option to study, 00:22:36.92\00:22:40.29 but was to be infused 00:22:40.36\00:22:41.69 throughout the whole curriculum, 00:22:41.72\00:22:43.43 eliminating the classics as the main thrust. 00:22:43.46\00:22:47.00 Initially the teachers and administrators 00:22:47.03\00:22:49.60 struggled to implement 00:22:49.63\00:22:51.07 what they probably didn't fully understand themselves. 00:22:51.10\00:22:54.57 As well as making the curriculum Bible based, 00:22:54.60\00:22:57.54 there was also the admonition 00:22:57.61\00:22:59.37 to include a manual labor program. 00:22:59.41\00:23:01.74 Education was to move away 00:23:07.52\00:23:10.19 from the Latin and Greek classics 00:23:10.22\00:23:11.99 and be holistic, 00:23:12.02\00:23:13.56 focusing on character development 00:23:13.59\00:23:15.76 and daily reminding the students 00:23:15.79\00:23:17.73 of their obligation to God, to live for Him 00:23:17.76\00:23:20.60 and be a missionary wherever they were. 00:23:20.63\00:23:23.77 The focus on manual labor and missionary work 00:23:23.80\00:23:26.37 is reflected in the early names of these schools. 00:23:26.40\00:23:30.11 The College of Medical Evangelist, 00:23:30.14\00:23:32.67 Emmanuel Missionary College, Southern Missionary College, 00:23:32.71\00:23:36.75 Australasian Missionary College and Oakwood Industrial School, 00:23:36.78\00:23:41.25 the purpose was the mission. 00:23:41.28\00:23:43.49 The name of the school 00:23:43.52\00:23:44.85 reflected the purpose of the church 00:23:44.89\00:23:47.06 to train missionaries at home and abroad. 00:23:47.09\00:23:50.83 The vision to start 00:23:55.43\00:23:56.77 a comprehensive educational system 00:23:56.80\00:23:59.10 would mushroom and grow. 00:23:59.13\00:24:01.00 Education is such a key evangelistic strategy. 00:24:01.04\00:24:04.81 The places today where the church is stronger, 00:24:04.84\00:24:07.64 have a strong Adventist educational system 00:24:07.68\00:24:10.75 that is valued and supported by the members. 00:24:10.78\00:24:14.22 Education that recognizes 00:24:14.25\00:24:15.92 it's not just for academic advancement, 00:24:15.95\00:24:19.02 but that is also evangelistic and redemptive, 00:24:19.05\00:24:22.19 echoing the words of Ellen White 00:24:22.22\00:24:24.23 that education and redemption are one. 00:24:24.26\00:24:27.60 The work of education now encompasses the globe 00:24:31.83\00:24:35.27 with the largest Protestant school system, 00:24:35.30\00:24:37.74 but our strength lies not in our size, 00:24:37.77\00:24:40.88 but in our faithfulness to the original purpose 00:24:40.91\00:24:43.65 of setting up the educational school system. 00:24:43.68\00:24:46.85 Practical education with a clear mission focus 00:24:46.92\00:24:50.19 was the primary motivating factor 00:24:50.22\00:24:52.69 rather than just academic excellence. 00:24:52.72\00:24:55.49 Many today do not have the opportunity 00:25:00.33\00:25:02.63 of an Adventist education. 00:25:02.66\00:25:04.63 If that is you, 00:25:04.67\00:25:06.00 then may you be a witness in your school or university, 00:25:06.03\00:25:09.07 like the Waldensians in years gone by. 00:25:09.10\00:25:11.77 Proverb says, 00:25:11.81\00:25:13.14 "Train up a child in the way he shall go. 00:25:13.17\00:25:15.68 And when he is old, he will not depart from it." 00:25:15.71\00:25:19.41 Whether it's at Sabbath school, home school, 00:25:19.45\00:25:22.08 or Adventist school, 00:25:22.12\00:25:23.49 we see that education is vitally important 00:25:23.52\00:25:26.76 in solidifying what we believe, 00:25:26.79\00:25:29.02 as well as giving us the skills that we need in life. 00:25:29.06\00:25:32.63 If you live near a school, then support it, 00:25:32.66\00:25:35.33 support the youth who are attending, 00:25:35.36\00:25:37.37 whether it's financially, through your prayers, 00:25:37.40\00:25:39.73 by volunteering, by working, 00:25:39.77\00:25:41.77 or in whatever way that you can. 00:25:41.80\00:25:44.04 Wow, that made history come alive. 00:26:03.16\00:26:06.43 What countries have you been to, to record? 00:26:06.46\00:26:09.76 About, I was counting, I think it's about 11, 12. 00:26:09.80\00:26:14.64 So, France, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, 00:26:14.67\00:26:20.28 Denmark, Sweden, England, Scotland, 00:26:20.31\00:26:25.75 Wales, then Australia, New Zealand, 00:26:25.78\00:26:29.82 the United States of America. 00:26:29.85\00:26:32.65 I think that's it. That's it. Yeah. 00:26:32.69\00:26:34.06 So far. 00:26:34.09\00:26:35.42 Wow. 00:26:35.46\00:26:36.79 So far. 00:26:36.83\00:26:38.16 I mean, that's quite a bit right there. 00:26:38.19\00:26:39.53 Has anything out of the ordinary 00:26:39.56\00:26:40.90 happened in any of these countries? 00:26:40.93\00:26:42.26 Ah... 00:26:42.30\00:26:44.90 I mean, we've had numerous testimonies 00:26:44.93\00:26:47.24 that have come through. 00:26:47.27\00:26:49.00 I say, one of the testimonies that we heard recently 00:26:49.04\00:26:53.58 is actually from what, from wherever from England 00:26:53.61\00:26:56.04 was a young guy who, 00:26:56.08\00:26:58.11 maybe he is about nine I think or ten, 00:26:58.15\00:27:00.22 and he was in school. 00:27:00.25\00:27:01.58 And he actually went to a Catholic school. 00:27:01.62\00:27:04.72 And he actually knew Adam 00:27:04.75\00:27:07.36 'cause Adam preaches a lot in England, 00:27:07.39\00:27:09.69 and his teacher's actually an atheist. 00:27:09.72\00:27:13.06 And they were doing some history lessons 00:27:13.09\00:27:15.70 on some of the work that took place in England. 00:27:15.73\00:27:18.40 And they ended up playing one of the Lineage episodes 00:27:18.43\00:27:20.74 in a Catholic school by an atheist teacher. 00:27:20.77\00:27:24.31 And he shared a little testimony, 00:27:24.34\00:27:26.17 he ended up telling his teacher that you know, he knew Adam, 00:27:26.21\00:27:28.84 and there was anything else? 00:27:28.88\00:27:30.58 The teacher was looking for... 00:27:30.65\00:27:32.61 Was online searching for videos that would illustrate his point 00:27:32.65\00:27:35.25 of noble characters from history. 00:27:35.28\00:27:37.79 And he bumped across a Lineage episode and showed in class 00:27:37.82\00:27:41.22 and you know the student there in England was, 00:27:41.26\00:27:43.53 you know, really excited to tell his teacher that hey, 00:27:43.56\00:27:45.66 you know, that's some. 00:27:45.69\00:27:47.03 Well, I know the person and but also, 00:27:47.10\00:27:48.43 that's something so that was interesting to see 00:27:48.46\00:27:50.40 that it's not just being used maybe within the circle 00:27:50.47\00:27:53.44 that we would assume but, 00:27:53.47\00:27:54.90 you know, in a public school as well. 00:27:54.94\00:27:57.54 So that was pretty... 00:27:57.61\00:27:58.97 But it sounds like experiences, 00:27:59.01\00:28:00.48 you know, we shot the episode in New Zealand last year. 00:28:00.51\00:28:04.05 And there's a guy 00:28:04.08\00:28:06.95 that's mentioned called Eric Hare. 00:28:07.02\00:28:09.38 And he's a prominent figure in the history 00:28:09.42\00:28:10.92 of what took place in New Zealand. 00:28:10.99\00:28:12.52 And we ended up driving to this town called Kaeo. 00:28:12.55\00:28:15.99 And in the town, there's like a little museum. 00:28:16.02\00:28:19.13 We went to the museum 00:28:19.16\00:28:20.50 and we were talking to this lady 00:28:20.53\00:28:22.30 and we're asking about the information about Eric Hare 00:28:22.33\00:28:25.10 if there was any pictures or anything like that, 00:28:25.13\00:28:26.84 and she was kind of intrigued like, 00:28:26.87\00:28:28.30 why are we interested in this person? 00:28:28.34\00:28:29.70 We come all the way from England. 00:28:29.74\00:28:31.11 This town is like, 00:28:31.14\00:28:32.84 it's smaller than Thompsonville. 00:28:32.87\00:28:34.21 Yeah. It's like... 00:28:34.28\00:28:35.61 It's really small. Tiny, tiny, tiny. 00:28:35.64\00:28:36.98 Yeah. 00:28:37.01\00:28:38.35 Probably like 200, 300 meters long, 00:28:38.38\00:28:40.32 just a few houses. 00:28:40.35\00:28:41.95 And yet it's interesting 'cause the Adventist Church 00:28:41.98\00:28:43.89 the Jehovah's Witness 00:28:43.92\00:28:45.25 and the Catholic Church in New Zealand 00:28:45.29\00:28:46.62 all started in this little town. 00:28:46.65\00:28:48.46 So they... 00:28:48.49\00:28:49.82 The locals kind of know their history, 00:28:49.86\00:28:51.19 they know their heritage that this is there. 00:28:51.23\00:28:52.93 So when we came up they're asking about 00:28:52.96\00:28:55.06 the Adventist history like Joseph Hare or Eric B. Hare. 00:28:55.10\00:28:59.07 Her ears perked up and... 00:28:59.10\00:29:00.77 And, you know, we discovered that 00:29:00.84\00:29:02.27 she was actually a descendant of him. 00:29:02.30\00:29:04.44 Really? 00:29:04.47\00:29:05.81 So she was a family, long relative, 00:29:05.84\00:29:08.34 I can't remember if it was great, great granddaughter, 00:29:08.38\00:29:10.95 or, you know, second cousin or something like that. 00:29:10.98\00:29:12.75 But she was a relative of this man. 00:29:12.78\00:29:15.35 So she was super intrigued about what we're doing. 00:29:15.38\00:29:17.89 She's very helpful. Very helpful. 00:29:17.92\00:29:19.69 Sent us all this information, went back to England. 00:29:19.72\00:29:22.62 And you know, she sent us more photos, 00:29:22.66\00:29:25.36 and every now and then I've emailed her saying, 00:29:25.39\00:29:27.50 you know, do you have this or do you have that 00:29:27.53\00:29:28.93 and she's taking pictures and photocopied 00:29:28.96\00:29:30.50 and she's not an Adventist herself. 00:29:30.57\00:29:32.33 You know, it was just a blessing to see 00:29:32.37\00:29:35.84 how we're on the other side of the world. 00:29:35.87\00:29:38.37 And we managed to meet a descendant of, 00:29:38.41\00:29:40.91 you know, Joseph Hare, 00:29:40.98\00:29:43.08 who was prominent in starting up the work 00:29:43.11\00:29:44.98 within New Zealand. 00:29:45.01\00:29:46.82 And she was just so helpful and really grateful 00:29:46.85\00:29:50.12 that we were doing a video on her family history really. 00:29:50.19\00:29:54.06 Joseph was the first Adventist in New Zealand. 00:29:54.09\00:29:55.69 Okay. 00:29:55.72\00:29:57.06 Then his son was Robert Hare who became a famous evangelist. 00:29:57.13\00:30:00.30 He studied at Pacific Union College, 00:30:00.33\00:30:02.13 went back there. 00:30:02.16\00:30:03.50 He had a son called Eric B. Hare, 00:30:03.57\00:30:06.84 who is famous in Adventism for being a story writer, 00:30:06.87\00:30:09.27 famous missionary, he was in Burma. 00:30:09.30\00:30:11.21 And so a lot of people know Eric B. Hare. 00:30:11.24\00:30:13.78 And then so when we... 00:30:13.81\00:30:15.64 I think this lady would probably be like 00:30:15.68\00:30:17.25 a second or third cousin down from him. 00:30:17.28\00:30:20.52 Her great grandfather, 00:30:20.55\00:30:22.15 who would have been Robert Hare's 00:30:22.18\00:30:23.69 brother ended up going back to the Methodist Church 00:30:23.72\00:30:26.09 and didn't stay an Adventist but, 00:30:26.12\00:30:28.16 but, uh, yeah, 00:30:28.19\00:30:29.52 it was very, very unique, and very interesting too. 00:30:29.56\00:30:32.79 Yeah, that sounds like... 00:30:32.83\00:30:34.20 To have a connection that far on the other side of the world 00:30:34.23\00:30:36.33 and have someone so helpful. 00:30:36.36\00:30:38.03 But even that, you know, we've had great experiences, 00:30:38.07\00:30:40.97 always people in different countries 00:30:41.00\00:30:42.54 have been really willing to help us and, 00:30:42.57\00:30:44.44 you know, we went to France and filmed some episodes there 00:30:44.47\00:30:47.11 and we had the youth director in France, 00:30:47.18\00:30:50.15 who was really interested in what we're doing 00:30:50.18\00:30:51.85 and helping us go places 00:30:51.88\00:30:53.21 and it's just been everywhere we've been, 00:30:53.25\00:30:55.42 doors have just opened and God has really let us. 00:30:55.45\00:30:57.59 Praise the Lord. 00:30:57.62\00:30:58.95 What about Muslim countries? 00:30:58.99\00:31:00.36 That's a good question. 00:31:00.39\00:31:02.99 Recently, we've been having a lot of views, 00:31:03.02\00:31:07.73 at least on Facebook, in Muslim countries. 00:31:07.76\00:31:10.17 So Afghanistan, Libya, Iran, 00:31:10.20\00:31:14.74 and just doesn't really come off the top of my head. 00:31:14.77\00:31:16.91 And so I don't know, I don't know how or why. 00:31:16.94\00:31:20.21 But there's something happening over there. 00:31:20.28\00:31:22.28 And so it's interesting to look at the views of, 00:31:22.31\00:31:25.18 you know, America, yeah, 00:31:25.21\00:31:26.72 Philippines, England, Australia, 00:31:26.75\00:31:28.68 but then to see these countries pop up as well. 00:31:28.72\00:31:30.79 It shows that there's a great hunger 00:31:30.82\00:31:32.42 in all parts of the world for... 00:31:32.45\00:31:34.19 And interestingly enough, there's has been a guy 00:31:34.26\00:31:36.73 who runs a ministry over in one of those countries, 00:31:36.76\00:31:38.76 I'm not sure where, but he takes Adventist content, 00:31:38.79\00:31:42.00 and he translates it, 00:31:42.03\00:31:43.47 and then he posts on his channel 00:31:43.50\00:31:45.07 in Arabic language 00:31:45.10\00:31:46.43 and he's been taking our videos and reposting them. 00:31:46.47\00:31:48.74 And so I'm guessing 00:31:48.77\00:31:50.11 that may have been one of the avenues in, 00:31:50.14\00:31:51.81 but it's just showing that, you know, these episodes 00:31:51.84\00:31:54.51 they're kind of being picked up by different races 00:31:54.54\00:31:59.75 different religions all around the world. 00:31:59.78\00:32:01.52 And they're kind of taking it and translating it 00:32:01.55\00:32:04.22 and getting it into places that we can't even imagine. 00:32:04.29\00:32:06.86 I've heard of these videos, 00:32:06.89\00:32:09.76 you know, YouTube is banned 00:32:09.79\00:32:11.13 in places like China, for example. 00:32:11.16\00:32:12.89 But I've heard of people who have downloaded them, 00:32:12.93\00:32:15.83 sent them on WhatsApp, or send them through mobile, 00:32:15.86\00:32:18.27 you know, mobile media platforms. 00:32:18.30\00:32:20.17 And, you know, sharing these and it's funny, 00:32:20.24\00:32:22.40 it's funny when someone sends me a video 00:32:22.44\00:32:25.61 of what I've done, 00:32:25.64\00:32:26.98 but they didn't know that I did it, you know. 00:32:27.01\00:32:29.64 It's funny how it just goes full circle, 00:32:29.68\00:32:31.08 but it shows that, 00:32:31.11\00:32:32.45 you know, the Lord is opening up opportunities 00:32:32.48\00:32:34.22 for digital media to get out into the masses. 00:32:34.25\00:32:36.99 Yeah, it's digital evangelism. 00:32:37.02\00:32:38.52 Exactly. Absolutely. 00:32:38.55\00:32:40.06 So what are some of the res... 00:32:40.09\00:32:41.62 But well, first, before we go into some of the responses, 00:32:41.66\00:32:44.43 how many translations are there? 00:32:44.46\00:32:47.80 Up to 18. 00:32:47.83\00:32:49.73 And that's subtitles. 00:32:49.76\00:32:51.10 Up to 18 and I say up to because not every language 00:32:51.13\00:32:53.54 has done every episode, but up to 18. 00:32:53.57\00:32:57.01 You can find some of it, 00:32:57.04\00:32:58.84 some of the episodes will be up to 18, 00:32:58.87\00:33:00.38 some of them would be less, depends. 00:33:00.41\00:33:01.78 We don't translate ourselves. 00:33:01.81\00:33:03.38 So we're kind of, I guess just a crowd source 00:33:03.45\00:33:06.92 where people submit their translations 00:33:06.95\00:33:08.35 and that's kind of how we go with it. 00:33:08.38\00:33:10.72 Now in terms of dubbing, up to... 00:33:10.79\00:33:13.19 Is it three or four? 00:33:13.22\00:33:14.56 Three, I think up to three. 00:33:14.59\00:33:15.92 Okay. 00:33:15.96\00:33:17.33 One language, Polish did the whole of Season One. 00:33:17.36\00:33:18.69 Fully dubbed in Polish, Italian most of it 00:33:18.73\00:33:20.83 and Slovenian are one of those languages as well. 00:33:20.90\00:33:23.97 And so there's quite a bit on that, 00:33:24.00\00:33:25.33 that takes a little bit more time and effort 00:33:25.37\00:33:26.70 for people to do 00:33:26.74\00:33:28.07 but there's a fair amount out there. 00:33:28.10\00:33:29.77 We have them all on our channel, 00:33:29.80\00:33:31.14 but they have them on their as well. 00:33:31.17\00:33:32.51 That's amazing. 00:33:32.54\00:33:33.88 And people are voluntarily doing this. 00:33:33.91\00:33:35.24 Yeah. 00:33:35.28\00:33:36.61 As far as there's people content, 00:33:36.64\00:33:37.98 "Hey, can we translate?" 00:33:38.01\00:33:39.35 Well, sure, you know, 00:33:39.38\00:33:40.72 just make sure you give it to us 00:33:40.75\00:33:42.08 after you're done, you know. 00:33:42.12\00:33:43.49 Yeah, now that's amazing. 00:33:43.52\00:33:44.85 What are some of the responses that you've received, 00:33:44.89\00:33:46.22 once people watch Lineage? 00:33:46.25\00:33:47.59 Um, one of the interesting ones we had was, like I said, 00:33:47.62\00:33:51.06 it's used in schools and some people use it, 00:33:51.09\00:33:52.79 there was a young school girl in Georgia, who... 00:33:52.83\00:33:57.17 We saw a little video on Facebook 00:33:57.20\00:33:58.53 and then we contacted her and she made a video 00:33:58.57\00:34:00.47 and kind of gave it to us after that, 00:34:00.54\00:34:02.24 but she used, she was... 00:34:02.27\00:34:06.34 I forget her age so it's around 10, 00:34:06.37\00:34:08.41 she's about 10. 00:34:08.44\00:34:09.78 I forget exactly how old she is. 00:34:09.81\00:34:12.45 Maybe a few years older, I'm not sure. 00:34:12.48\00:34:15.02 But she was doing a worship for our class 00:34:15.05\00:34:16.72 and she had to do a worship 00:34:16.79\00:34:18.39 and she was doing on Martin William Miller, 00:34:18.42\00:34:20.86 and then she has watched Lineage Journey at home 00:34:20.89\00:34:23.43 with her family, they watch it regularly. 00:34:23.46\00:34:25.19 And so she used the video 00:34:25.23\00:34:26.56 as part of her doing her worship 00:34:26.59\00:34:28.53 for the school. 00:34:28.56\00:34:29.90 So that was really encouraging to see 00:34:29.93\00:34:31.30 that someone of a young age was taking this resource, 00:34:31.33\00:34:34.47 was speaking publicly, was using it as part of her, 00:34:34.50\00:34:37.67 you know, her resources that she was using to share 00:34:37.71\00:34:39.81 and that was really interesting too, 00:34:39.84\00:34:41.58 and encouraging to see someone sharing. 00:34:41.61\00:34:43.75 Another story that just came to mind was, 00:34:43.78\00:34:46.28 last year I went camping. 00:34:46.31\00:34:47.92 I'm in Wales, and I met a guy and I'm speaking to him, 00:34:47.95\00:34:53.22 and he was asking me what I do 00:34:53.25\00:34:54.59 and I was explaining about Lineage, 00:34:54.62\00:34:55.96 he was like, "Oh, you know, I've watched Lineage, 00:34:55.99\00:34:57.79 I've watched it a few times." 00:34:57.83\00:34:59.43 And he went on to say that he's studying history, 00:34:59.46\00:35:02.10 I think it was religious history. 00:35:02.13\00:35:03.77 And he said, for his exam, 00:35:03.80\00:35:06.67 he would watch the Lineage episodes, 00:35:06.74\00:35:09.20 study the content out. 00:35:09.24\00:35:10.71 And when he actually took his exam he would get... 00:35:10.74\00:35:14.44 The question would be asked, 00:35:14.48\00:35:16.01 and that the episode would come to his memory 00:35:16.04\00:35:18.21 and the point of what Adam was saying 00:35:18.25\00:35:19.58 would come to his memory and he passed his test. 00:35:19.61\00:35:21.95 So he basically used it as a way to study for an exam. 00:35:21.98\00:35:24.92 Wow, I needed you guys when I was studying in school. 00:35:24.95\00:35:28.22 So we got to make sure it's historically accurate. 00:35:28.26\00:35:31.69 That's right. 00:35:31.73\00:35:33.06 You know, these are just some of the ways, 00:35:33.09\00:35:34.50 I mean, there's plenty more that we could come to 00:35:34.53\00:35:36.53 but I think we'd be here for a while. 00:35:36.56\00:35:38.70 We got a few teachers contact us and, 00:35:38.73\00:35:40.37 you know, just share how to use it. 00:35:40.44\00:35:41.77 We've had academy deans, another dean, 00:35:41.80\00:35:44.61 I believe Georgia-Cumberland Academy. 00:35:44.64\00:35:45.97 She's the dean of ladies. 00:35:46.01\00:35:47.74 She uses it in the dorm worship so... 00:35:47.78\00:35:50.25 Actually another one that just come to mind, 00:35:50.28\00:35:51.71 which should be really good to share is 00:35:51.75\00:35:53.75 there was a teacher who was teaching 00:35:53.82\00:35:55.68 at kindergarten I think it was 00:35:55.72\00:35:57.29 and they were watching some of these Lineage episodes. 00:35:57.32\00:36:00.26 And she sent us a video of her class, 00:36:00.29\00:36:02.99 who had taken the episode that we did on Jerome and Huss 00:36:03.02\00:36:07.50 and they watched the episode. 00:36:07.53\00:36:08.86 And then they actually recreated 00:36:08.90\00:36:11.20 the episode using Lego. 00:36:11.23\00:36:12.87 So they've done John Huss, 00:36:12.90\00:36:14.57 you know, burning at the stake and they've done him in prison. 00:36:14.60\00:36:17.11 And, you know, all of these different points 00:36:17.14\00:36:18.97 that were covered in the episode. 00:36:19.01\00:36:20.58 The kids have actually made these, 00:36:20.61\00:36:23.18 I guess monuments or structures using Lego. 00:36:23.21\00:36:25.65 She sent us a video of all of it 00:36:25.68\00:36:27.02 and it's pretty amazing to see 00:36:27.05\00:36:28.38 that young kids are taking this and being able to understand it 00:36:28.42\00:36:31.05 and then, you know, obviously, 00:36:31.09\00:36:32.42 create wonderful masterpieces out of Lego. 00:36:32.45\00:36:34.82 Yeah, that is amazing. 00:36:34.86\00:36:36.19 And I mean, they're really taking in the history because, 00:36:36.22\00:36:38.43 you know, at that young age, 00:36:38.46\00:36:39.79 like their minds are like sponges, 00:36:39.83\00:36:42.23 they're so impressionable, and they just absorb everything 00:36:42.26\00:36:44.50 that they're learning, so that's awesome. 00:36:44.53\00:36:46.23 We didn't create the videos per se for younger children. 00:36:46.27\00:36:48.64 That wasn't our target audience. 00:36:48.67\00:36:50.01 But as we travel around, 00:36:50.04\00:36:51.37 we find a lot of the younger kids 00:36:51.41\00:36:53.38 especially really, really connect and enjoy it. 00:36:53.41\00:36:57.05 I guess the short time is, you know, appeals as well. 00:36:57.08\00:37:00.32 It's not like, you know, 00:37:00.35\00:37:01.68 sit down and watch a 60 minute video 00:37:01.72\00:37:03.05 or 20, it's just shortened. 00:37:03.08\00:37:05.39 Yeah, yeah, I'd like to transition a little bit 00:37:05.42\00:37:08.46 into New Zealand. 00:37:08.49\00:37:09.86 Let's talk about New Zealand. 00:37:09.89\00:37:11.23 Oh, well, we kind of mentioned earlier 00:37:11.26\00:37:12.59 that they did filming the episode down there. 00:37:12.63\00:37:14.93 It's fascinating to see 00:37:14.96\00:37:16.70 how the church started in New Zealand. 00:37:16.77\00:37:18.30 And as I said, as we were filming down there, 00:37:18.33\00:37:20.74 we met a lady who was integral to the Adventist history there 00:37:20.77\00:37:24.51 and I think it's fascinating to see 00:37:24.54\00:37:26.68 how the church started, yeah. 00:37:26.71\00:37:28.08 We actually have a clip from that episode. 00:37:28.11\00:37:31.25 Let's take a look at that. 00:37:31.28\00:37:32.61 Funds had been raised by Sabbath School members 00:37:52.87\00:37:55.14 in California 00:37:55.17\00:37:56.50 to send the missionary team down to Australia. 00:37:56.54\00:37:58.94 The intention was to open the work in Australia, 00:37:58.97\00:38:01.81 but God had additional plans in store. 00:38:01.84\00:38:04.95 Headed by S.N. Haskell, 00:38:04.98\00:38:06.65 the team stopped here in New Zealand 00:38:06.72\00:38:09.02 for four to five days on route in 1885. 00:38:09.05\00:38:13.12 Impressed by the friendliness of the people 00:38:13.15\00:38:15.76 and noting the libraries in town, 00:38:15.79\00:38:18.16 Haskell commented 00:38:18.19\00:38:19.53 that the people must be interested in learning 00:38:19.56\00:38:22.20 and would therefore 00:38:22.23\00:38:23.57 make good prospects for learning Bible truths. 00:38:23.60\00:38:26.87 After settling in Melbourne, he decided to return to America 00:38:31.27\00:38:35.04 and stopped off in New Zealand on the way. 00:38:35.08\00:38:37.78 He had heard of a group of Sunday keeping Adventists 00:38:37.81\00:38:40.92 and found accommodation with Edward and Lizzie Hare. 00:38:40.95\00:38:44.29 They introduced him to others in the area, 00:38:44.32\00:38:46.76 and he held some meetings over the course of a few weeks, 00:38:46.79\00:38:50.26 breaking the evangelistic rule 00:38:50.33\00:38:52.29 he presented the Sabbath on the first night 00:38:52.33\00:38:54.63 and the second coming on the second night. 00:38:54.66\00:38:57.17 They were convinced and encouraged him 00:38:57.20\00:38:59.33 to visit the rest of the Hare family 00:38:59.37\00:39:01.74 who live north in Kaeo. 00:39:01.77\00:39:03.71 Deciding not to return to the US, 00:39:08.71\00:39:11.15 he stayed with the Hare family in Kaeo, 00:39:11.18\00:39:13.82 about 250 kilometers north of Auckland. 00:39:13.85\00:39:17.49 This area is rich in religious history, 00:39:17.52\00:39:20.26 with the Methodist, Anglican, 00:39:20.29\00:39:21.89 Catholic and Seventh-day Adventist churches 00:39:21.92\00:39:24.56 having roots in the area. 00:39:24.59\00:39:26.36 Here he met the patriarch of the family, Joseph Hare, 00:39:26.39\00:39:29.83 an Irish Orangemen who along with his family 00:39:29.86\00:39:33.03 lived in a house on the mound behind me. 00:39:33.07\00:39:35.77 He also met his son Robert, 00:39:35.80\00:39:37.61 and both of them were preachers. 00:39:37.64\00:39:39.71 Haskell was invited to speak 00:39:39.74\00:39:41.58 and spoke for three consecutive Sundays, 00:39:41.61\00:39:44.25 along with evening meetings and also holding Bible studies 00:39:44.28\00:39:48.05 during the day in the home. 00:39:48.08\00:39:50.19 The Hare family decided to keep the Sabbath, 00:39:54.92\00:39:57.43 and this campus behind me would end up being 00:39:57.46\00:39:59.79 one of the first church buildings 00:39:59.83\00:40:01.53 that they met in. 00:40:01.56\00:40:02.96 Robert the son had a difficult decision to make. 00:40:03.00\00:40:05.80 He was engaged to be married. 00:40:05.83\00:40:07.64 The house had been built, the furniture had been ordered, 00:40:07.67\00:40:10.64 but his bride to be objected to his new beliefs. 00:40:10.71\00:40:14.51 It was marriage or the Sabbath. 00:40:14.54\00:40:16.98 She wouldn't convert and he wouldn't compromise. 00:40:17.05\00:40:20.22 The marriage was off, and he left for America 00:40:20.25\00:40:23.15 to study for the ministry at Healdsburg College. 00:40:23.18\00:40:26.02 Haskell returned in 1886 00:40:32.16\00:40:35.03 and ran a two week evangelistic series, 00:40:35.06\00:40:37.57 and before he left, 00:40:37.60\00:40:38.93 he organized the Kaeo Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:40:38.97\00:40:41.80 the first in New Zealand on the 23rd of March 1886. 00:40:41.84\00:40:47.31 Haskell sent a good report to the General Conference 00:40:47.38\00:40:50.18 and requested an evangelist to be sent. 00:40:50.25\00:40:53.08 The choice was 28 year old AG Daniels, 00:40:53.11\00:40:56.42 who would later go on 00:40:56.45\00:40:57.79 to be the longest serving General Conference President. 00:40:57.82\00:41:01.06 AG Daniels brought with him a 15 square meter marquis 00:41:01.09\00:41:05.96 that was pitched here in this park, 00:41:05.99\00:41:08.26 along with a pedal organ and together with his wife 00:41:08.30\00:41:11.73 lived in a tent on site. 00:41:11.77\00:41:14.24 AG Daniels would lead 00:41:21.54\00:41:22.88 the first evangelistic tent series 00:41:22.91\00:41:25.11 in Auckland and drew large crowds. 00:41:25.15\00:41:27.72 And at the end of 17 weeks of meetings, 00:41:27.75\00:41:30.79 a Sabbath School with 78 members was started. 00:41:30.82\00:41:34.42 Later on, a small wooden church was built on Mackelvie Street 00:41:34.46\00:41:38.69 with 67 charter members 00:41:38.73\00:41:40.80 and the first service took place 00:41:40.83\00:41:43.06 on the 15th of October 1887. 00:41:43.10\00:41:46.63 This was the first church built in the southern hemisphere, 00:41:46.67\00:41:50.31 and still stands today as part of the Ponsonby 00:41:50.34\00:41:53.58 Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:41:53.61\00:41:55.28 Robert Hare would soon return from the USA 00:42:01.92\00:42:04.75 with his American bride, Henrietta Johnson 00:42:04.79\00:42:07.39 and thrust himself into the work here. 00:42:07.46\00:42:10.13 A few years later, a conference would be formed, 00:42:10.16\00:42:12.96 and the work would progress to the South Island 00:42:12.99\00:42:15.50 with S.N. Haskell, amongst others, 00:42:15.53\00:42:17.73 starting the church there as well. 00:42:17.77\00:42:20.14 A few years later, 00:42:20.17\00:42:21.50 the conference was split into two in 1915. 00:42:21.54\00:42:24.84 A college was also started at Long Burn 00:42:24.87\00:42:27.58 on the south part of the North Island. 00:42:27.61\00:42:30.38 When Ellen White was in the South Pacific, 00:42:30.45\00:42:32.48 she spent some time here helping to establish the church 00:42:32.51\00:42:36.12 and spoke at the first New Zealand camp meeting 00:42:36.15\00:42:39.32 and also began writing on the life of Christ 00:42:39.35\00:42:42.49 while she was down here. 00:42:42.52\00:42:43.93 And so the stop on the journey to Australia 00:42:50.37\00:42:53.10 turned into a lot more than just a few days' rest. 00:42:53.13\00:42:56.54 God had bigger plans than just rest and relaxation. 00:42:56.57\00:43:00.38 S.N. Haskell's return journey to America 00:43:00.41\00:43:03.21 never materialized then, 00:43:03.24\00:43:05.01 and instead the church was birthed here 00:43:05.05\00:43:07.32 in this beautiful country. 00:43:07.35\00:43:09.08 Sometimes we have big plans that we want God to accomplish. 00:43:09.12\00:43:12.79 And whilst that's good to have, we must always be open to God 00:43:12.82\00:43:16.86 turning things around and remember as Isaiah says 00:43:16.93\00:43:20.20 that "His ways are higher than our ways." 00:43:20.23\00:43:23.13 Tell you what, you guys have been teaching me 00:43:38.01\00:43:39.68 all kinds of new things today. 00:43:39.71\00:43:42.15 Now, as I look at that production, 00:43:42.18\00:43:44.75 and I'm looking at the quality of it, 00:43:44.79\00:43:47.09 it seems like we've got you two sitting here 00:43:47.16\00:43:50.76 but how many people are on your team 00:43:50.83\00:43:52.23 'cause it seems like 00:43:52.26\00:43:53.60 there would be a lot of people involved with this. 00:43:53.63\00:43:55.06 It's more than just us, Clive's the main camera guy, 00:43:55.10\00:43:57.80 but we also have another two 00:43:57.83\00:44:00.87 that would work with the cameras 00:44:00.94\00:44:02.27 and the filming. 00:44:02.30\00:44:03.71 We have a photographer, we have a... 00:44:03.74\00:44:06.61 Someone who writes all the content 00:44:06.68\00:44:08.01 for our website, and our blogs, and our articles. 00:44:08.04\00:44:10.35 And also does fact checking on the scripts 00:44:10.38\00:44:12.35 that are written. 00:44:12.38\00:44:13.72 We then have my wife, his wife, 00:44:13.75\00:44:16.35 they kind of assist in the producing. 00:44:16.38\00:44:18.22 For Season Two, my wife did the sound, 00:44:18.25\00:44:20.86 audio sound for that, 00:44:20.89\00:44:22.22 she kind of learned that and did that. 00:44:22.26\00:44:24.23 A website, someone who does the website, 00:44:24.26\00:44:26.06 so there's a team of around about 10 of us. 00:44:26.09\00:44:30.40 That if we're all there, that would be 10. 00:44:30.47\00:44:32.13 But, you know, sometime, it would just be me and him. 00:44:32.17\00:44:34.60 But ideally, there's like six or seven of us 00:44:34.64\00:44:36.91 were filming on location. 00:44:36.94\00:44:38.27 So it varies where we go, about 10. 00:44:38.31\00:44:40.41 So different people have different skills and talents. 00:44:40.48\00:44:42.51 Some of them are just for the visual, 00:44:42.54\00:44:43.95 and then others are for the back end 00:44:43.98\00:44:45.51 or for the, you know, supporting resources 00:44:45.55\00:44:48.78 that we make as well. 00:44:48.82\00:44:50.19 And what resources do you have? 00:44:50.22\00:44:52.32 At the minute we've got the website, 00:44:52.35\00:44:53.69 which is very involved, 00:44:53.76\00:44:55.72 there's a lot of articles there, 00:44:55.76\00:44:57.13 but we're in the process and almost ready to produce 00:44:57.16\00:44:59.73 a series of study guides 00:44:59.76\00:45:01.76 that will go alongside all of the episodes 00:45:01.80\00:45:03.57 of Season One and Season Two. 00:45:03.60\00:45:05.77 So the idea would be that someone could watch the video 00:45:05.80\00:45:08.27 and have a small group Bible study 00:45:08.30\00:45:09.64 or a Sabbath school class 00:45:09.67\00:45:11.01 or a youth group or something like that. 00:45:11.04\00:45:12.37 And then watch the video 00:45:12.41\00:45:13.78 and then you've got a study guide 00:45:13.81\00:45:15.14 to enable you to have discussion, 00:45:15.18\00:45:16.95 that's clearly taking you to a point. 00:45:16.98\00:45:18.81 So you're not just enabled you think, guys, 00:45:18.85\00:45:20.22 but these are different questions 00:45:20.25\00:45:21.58 we've put together, there's some Bible texts, 00:45:21.62\00:45:23.12 there's some biblical illustrations 00:45:23.15\00:45:24.72 that match with it we think, 00:45:24.75\00:45:26.09 and would help the Bible study, or the small group leader, 00:45:26.12\00:45:28.89 or the pastor, or the Sabbath school leader 00:45:28.92\00:45:30.33 to be able to have a constructive discussion. 00:45:30.36\00:45:33.60 That is nice. 00:45:33.63\00:45:34.96 So we're about to release that for Season One and Two. 00:45:35.00\00:45:38.07 Okay. 00:45:38.10\00:45:39.43 And you guys also have t-shirts and all that stuff too, right? 00:45:39.47\00:45:42.87 Yeah, 'cause the guy who's our photographer 00:45:42.90\00:45:45.21 works as an illustrator. 00:45:45.24\00:45:46.57 Works for Apple like he's an illustrator. 00:45:46.61\00:45:48.24 So he's got some really kind of unique designs for t-shirts, 00:45:48.28\00:45:51.85 Martin Lutheran and John Knox, 00:45:51.88\00:45:55.15 William Tyndale, and John Wesley. 00:45:55.18\00:45:57.42 We got t-shirts that people can buy if they want to, 00:45:57.49\00:45:59.25 you know, support Lineage or wear it that way. 00:45:59.29\00:46:03.43 Yeah. 00:46:03.46\00:46:04.79 So what can we expect in Season Two? 00:46:04.83\00:46:07.60 Well, Season Two is out, and that's Adventist history. 00:46:07.63\00:46:09.56 But the dream or the plan is to have Season Three. 00:46:09.60\00:46:12.93 And so really what we've covered so far, 00:46:12.97\00:46:14.94 you could summarize and say 00:46:14.97\00:46:16.37 it's a history of the book Great Controversy, 00:46:16.40\00:46:21.31 because we start with Constantine 00:46:21.34\00:46:22.68 and then we go all the way up through Adventist history. 00:46:22.71\00:46:25.58 So it's really covering the time period 00:46:25.61\00:46:27.02 that the book Great Controversy covers. 00:46:27.05\00:46:28.82 Our idea now was to go back in time, 00:46:28.85\00:46:31.55 and to go back to Genesis or Patriarchs and Prophets, 00:46:31.59\00:46:34.26 and have smaller series. 00:46:34.29\00:46:35.62 We're looking at maybe 10 to 15 episodes 00:46:35.66\00:46:37.33 on the book Patriarchs and Prophets. 00:46:37.36\00:46:39.33 So covering that time period, then Prophets and Kings, 00:46:39.36\00:46:43.77 then probably a few more episodes on, 00:46:43.80\00:46:45.97 on Desire of Ages just because we have more locations 00:46:46.00\00:46:48.30 that we could film it. 00:46:48.34\00:46:49.67 And then Acts of the Apostles is the journeys of Paul. 00:46:49.70\00:46:52.11 So the idea is to... 00:46:52.14\00:46:53.78 Season Three would probably be breaking down 00:46:53.81\00:46:55.61 into four segments. 00:46:55.64\00:46:57.15 And then together with what we've got, 00:46:57.18\00:46:58.75 it would provide people 00:46:58.78\00:47:00.12 with a big narrative of the Great Controversy theme 00:47:00.15\00:47:04.29 through scripture and through history. 00:47:04.32\00:47:06.32 So that's the plan to kind of go back 00:47:06.35\00:47:08.12 to complete the package. 00:47:08.16\00:47:10.63 So that's gonna involve filming in some new countries 00:47:10.66\00:47:14.33 that would be Israel and Jordan, 00:47:14.36\00:47:15.93 Egypt and some countries in the Middle East 00:47:15.96\00:47:18.50 and the Mediterranean area in order to complete that, 00:47:18.53\00:47:21.80 to make it. 00:47:21.84\00:47:23.17 And how long is each episode? 00:47:23.20\00:47:25.01 Episodes, we typically aim to hit about five minutes. 00:47:25.04\00:47:28.61 Oh, wow. 00:47:28.64\00:47:30.25 Five, like five minute episode, how long, I mean like, 00:47:30.28\00:47:34.38 so when you're airing them, 00:47:34.42\00:47:36.99 let's say you put them on YouTube. 00:47:37.02\00:47:39.02 Is it the same? 00:47:39.05\00:47:40.39 How, like how long? 00:47:40.46\00:47:41.79 Yeah, they're five minutes there, like for example, 00:47:41.82\00:47:43.53 on 3ABN we have them on there, 00:47:43.56\00:47:44.89 but we've put like five episodes together 00:47:44.93\00:47:47.13 to make it into a, you know, a half an hour production. 00:47:47.20\00:47:50.47 But each episode individually is about five minutes 00:47:50.50\00:47:52.57 or so long. 00:47:52.60\00:47:54.30 So it's bite size pieces, 00:47:54.34\00:47:56.04 bite size content, very digestible. 00:47:56.07\00:48:00.28 I guess the catchphrase will be a short and shareable. 00:48:00.31\00:48:02.54 Yes. Yes, for digital evangelism. 00:48:02.58\00:48:04.68 What are some of your needs? 00:48:04.71\00:48:07.02 Well, we're hoping, I mean, in order to film Season Three, 00:48:07.05\00:48:10.39 we have to, 00:48:10.42\00:48:12.82 I guess, raise the funds to film Season Three, 00:48:12.85\00:48:14.49 we, you know, it's a dream, it's a vision at the minute, 00:48:14.52\00:48:17.23 but we need to kind of raise the funds 00:48:17.26\00:48:18.63 to go and film that 00:48:18.66\00:48:20.23 and create these resources to be, 00:48:20.30\00:48:22.33 you know, be used by the people out there. 00:48:22.36\00:48:24.83 So we have to raise the logistical costs for that. 00:48:24.87\00:48:27.17 At the minute everyone on the team is voluntary. 00:48:27.24\00:48:29.27 And we both have other jobs. 00:48:29.30\00:48:30.64 So this is kind of something we're doing, 00:48:30.71\00:48:32.04 I guess, you say on the side 00:48:32.07\00:48:33.41 and all the other team members there, 00:48:33.44\00:48:34.78 they're volunteering their time, 00:48:34.81\00:48:36.14 they have full time jobs and they volunteer their time. 00:48:36.18\00:48:37.55 So at the minute is voluntary, 00:48:37.58\00:48:38.91 so we need to kind of raise the funds 00:48:38.95\00:48:40.32 to kind of just the logistical expenses 00:48:40.35\00:48:42.18 of filming 00:48:42.22\00:48:43.59 and getting around again and doing stuff and, yeah. 00:48:43.62\00:48:46.89 And so let's recap 00:48:46.96\00:48:49.36 what's all involved with the project. 00:48:49.39\00:48:52.09 So people, I mean, 00:48:52.13\00:48:53.60 you know, oftentimes you see a finished project 00:48:53.63\00:48:56.26 but you don't know everything that goes on behind the scenes. 00:48:56.30\00:48:59.90 So let's go over that. 00:48:59.93\00:49:02.67 I mean, in terms of the videos, it's, 00:49:02.70\00:49:04.47 you know, the writing of the scripts, 00:49:04.51\00:49:06.54 it's researching the locations, 00:49:06.57\00:49:08.38 it's traveling to locations and filming, 00:49:08.41\00:49:10.55 and all of that that involves photography, 00:49:10.58\00:49:13.18 video, drones, etc. 00:49:13.21\00:49:14.82 And then it's on the back end 00:49:14.85\00:49:16.18 when Clive has to do the editing 00:49:16.22\00:49:18.22 and putting the post production together. 00:49:18.25\00:49:20.56 And it's the producing of the study guide 00:49:20.59\00:49:22.32 that goes along with it. 00:49:22.36\00:49:23.96 So it becomes quite a... 00:49:24.03\00:49:25.89 And there's dream to do a few other things as well, 00:49:25.93\00:49:27.86 like audio series, 00:49:27.90\00:49:29.36 longer documentaries on each reformer. 00:49:29.40\00:49:32.57 There's other things in the pipeline 00:49:32.60\00:49:33.94 that we're kind of thinking about, 00:49:33.97\00:49:35.30 but obviously all these things take resources. 00:49:35.34\00:49:37.87 And so we're kind of just dreaming. 00:49:37.91\00:49:40.58 But, you know, we dreamed for Season One, 00:49:40.61\00:49:41.94 and we dreamed for Season Two. 00:49:41.98\00:49:43.31 And we're at the stage two and a half years later now 00:49:43.35\00:49:44.81 we're dreaming about Season Three. 00:49:44.85\00:49:46.72 So, you know, we know God can provide for us. 00:49:46.75\00:49:49.38 Yeah. And He continues to do so. 00:49:49.42\00:49:51.69 Do you guys have any like movies in your future, 00:49:51.72\00:49:55.32 you thinking about? 00:49:55.36\00:49:56.73 We have one already on Martin Luther. 00:49:56.76\00:49:58.79 It was kind of done 00:49:58.83\00:50:00.20 that we released on the day of the reformation, 00:50:00.23\00:50:01.60 we partnered with an ARTV Adventist Review TV. 00:50:01.63\00:50:05.03 It's called 95. 00:50:05.07\00:50:06.74 And it's kind of just on Martin Luther. 00:50:06.77\00:50:10.11 So about 45-50 minutes long, just on Martin Luther. 00:50:10.14\00:50:13.21 So the aim really is to do like, longer stuff. 00:50:13.24\00:50:16.41 So like a whole one hour segment 00:50:16.44\00:50:20.65 on John Wycliffe or John Wesley, you know, 00:50:20.72\00:50:23.05 'cause we're kind of touching 00:50:23.08\00:50:24.82 the edges of all these reformers. 00:50:24.85\00:50:26.65 There's so much more information, 00:50:26.69\00:50:28.02 what were they like, 00:50:28.06\00:50:29.39 you know, did they have kids and how was it like, 00:50:29.42\00:50:31.23 standing up to the Catholic Church 00:50:31.26\00:50:32.66 as Martin Luther who had a family, 00:50:32.69\00:50:34.10 you know, those kind of things. 00:50:34.13\00:50:36.16 So we kind of want to delve a little bit deeper. 00:50:36.20\00:50:38.10 Nice, nice. 00:50:38.13\00:50:39.47 So kind of really exploring their background 00:50:39.50\00:50:42.07 and who they were as an individual, 00:50:42.10\00:50:44.41 in addition to what they contributed. 00:50:44.44\00:50:47.21 Nice. 00:50:47.28\00:50:49.11 So, all right, so we've got the movie thing, 00:50:49.14\00:50:52.48 we've got bite size content, 00:50:52.51\00:50:54.32 shareable content, study guides. 00:50:54.35\00:50:57.62 I think the study guides is an awesome idea. 00:50:57.65\00:50:59.72 Yeah, we're looking at releasing those 00:50:59.75\00:51:01.09 in hard copy, 00:51:01.12\00:51:02.46 but also because of the younger generation 00:51:02.49\00:51:03.83 that we're not solely appealing to, but obviously, 00:51:03.86\00:51:06.80 is our large audience. 00:51:06.83\00:51:08.16 We're also going to release those on Apple as iBooks. 00:51:08.20\00:51:10.57 Okay. 00:51:10.60\00:51:11.93 They're interactive, they have illustrations, 00:51:11.97\00:51:13.34 they have interactive maps and all that kind of stuff. 00:51:13.37\00:51:15.50 We already have a few prototypes 00:51:15.54\00:51:16.91 that we're kind of working on behind the scenes. 00:51:16.94\00:51:18.27 Nice, nice. 00:51:18.31\00:51:19.64 Well, I can't believe our time is almost up. 00:51:19.67\00:51:23.01 And we definitely want people to know 00:51:23.04\00:51:25.11 how they can contact you, 00:51:25.15\00:51:27.12 how they can support you, and all of those things. 00:51:27.15\00:51:29.58 So we're gonna go to an address role 00:51:29.62\00:51:32.42 and a news break and we'll be right back. 00:51:32.45\00:51:34.42 The Lineage Journey is designed 00:51:37.63\00:51:39.39 to help you understand your spiritual heritage 00:51:39.43\00:51:42.06 and explore the links between the past, 00:51:42.10\00:51:44.30 present and future. 00:51:44.33\00:51:46.30 Visit lineagejourney.com, where you'll find both, 00:51:46.33\00:51:49.24 Season One on the Reformation and Season Two. 00:51:49.27\00:51:52.84 The journey continues, 00:51:52.87\00:51:54.44 featuring the history and pioneers 00:51:54.48\00:51:56.61 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:51:56.64\00:51:58.68 Donate online at lineagejourney.com 00:51:58.71\00:52:02.18 or contact them by email at info@lineagejourney.com. 00:52:02.22\00:52:07.49 Check them out on social media 00:52:07.56\00:52:09.29 or subscribe to their Twitter feed 00:52:09.32\00:52:11.46 at lineage journey. 00:52:11.49\00:52:13.13
