Yeah. 00:09:26.36\00:09:28.00 I found a book, I worked in the prison. 00:09:28.03\00:09:29.86 Found the book, taking inmates to the library 00:09:29.90\00:09:32.30 back to their cell. 00:09:32.33\00:09:33.67 And on prophecy, 00:09:33.74\00:09:35.40 one of our publications that really enlightened me 00:09:35.44\00:09:37.77 on the importance 00:09:37.81\00:09:39.14 of the soon coming of Jesus Christ, 00:09:39.17\00:09:40.51 so I've always had a passion for that, 00:09:40.58\00:09:42.31 but always in the context of the gospel. 00:09:42.34\00:09:44.45 You know, we want people to know that 00:09:44.48\00:09:45.81 Jesus should be center and foremost in everything. 00:09:45.85\00:09:48.65 And so, that's what brought me in, 00:09:48.68\00:09:50.49 and I just had a passion for traveling, 00:09:50.52\00:09:53.05 sharing the everlasting gospel in the context 00:09:53.09\00:09:55.79 of the three angels' message. 00:09:55.82\00:09:57.16 Okay, wonderful. 00:09:57.23\00:09:58.56 You said you worked in a prison? 00:09:58.59\00:09:59.93 I did, yeah, several years. 00:09:59.96\00:10:01.30 Tell us about that? 00:10:01.33\00:10:02.66 Ah, I was a competitive bodybuilder 00:10:02.70\00:10:04.40 and worked a rotating shift, 00:10:04.43\00:10:06.30 worked in a private prison system 00:10:06.33\00:10:09.10 down south of Dallas, Texas, worked in 00:10:09.14\00:10:12.14 Johnson County Sheriff's department as well. 00:10:12.17\00:10:14.54 And it's about that time when I was converted 00:10:14.58\00:10:17.85 and decided to keep the Sabbath, 00:10:17.88\00:10:20.72 and you know, soon after that, I was called into the ministry. 00:10:20.75\00:10:25.35 Look at that. 00:10:25.39\00:10:27.46 So you've seen the law enforcement side, 00:10:27.49\00:10:29.02 you've seen the correctional side, 00:10:29.06\00:10:30.63 now you're looking at the salvation side. 00:10:30.66\00:10:32.43 Absolutely. 00:10:32.46\00:10:33.80 It's like justification, sanctification, 00:10:33.83\00:10:35.16 and glorification, almost the three part ministry. 00:10:35.20\00:10:37.47 How different is that? 00:10:37.50\00:10:38.90 'Cause I mean, I haven't... 00:10:38.93\00:10:40.54 I mean, I know people 00:10:40.57\00:10:41.90 that are involved in prison ministries, 00:10:41.94\00:10:43.27 we have a number of people that are connected with 3ABN, 00:10:43.30\00:10:45.14 and we also have one here. 00:10:45.17\00:10:46.78 But to come from the law enforcement side 00:10:46.81\00:10:48.91 to the correctional side and then, 00:10:48.94\00:10:50.68 how did that transition happen? 00:10:50.75\00:10:52.08 You talked about finding a book? 00:10:52.11\00:10:53.92 Yeah, well, I was taking inmates 00:10:53.95\00:10:55.95 to check out a book late at night, 00:10:55.98\00:10:58.22 and they're able to do that. 00:10:58.25\00:10:59.69 And I found Desire of Ages. 00:10:59.72\00:11:01.26 I started reading it. 00:11:01.29\00:11:02.62 The first time I've read the book, 00:11:02.66\00:11:04.59 and just my life was changing every single chapter. 00:11:04.63\00:11:08.20 Wow. Day by day. 00:11:08.23\00:11:09.56 It just transformed my life as I would learn 00:11:09.60\00:11:12.23 more about the life of Jesus, His selfless life. 00:11:12.27\00:11:14.74 I was attracted to that. 00:11:14.77\00:11:16.37 You know, at the time, 00:11:16.40\00:11:17.74 I was a competitive bodybuilder. 00:11:17.77\00:11:19.11 I was eating, living, and sleeping vanity, you know. 00:11:19.14\00:11:23.88 And here's a man that lived a selfless life, 00:11:23.95\00:11:28.18 His every word, 00:11:28.22\00:11:29.55 His every action was for others. 00:11:29.58\00:11:31.02 And that convicted me. 00:11:31.05\00:11:32.39 I mean, that, I was attracted to that. 00:11:32.42\00:11:34.09 I wanted that. 00:11:34.16\00:11:35.49 And, you know, a battle began to take place in my life. 00:11:35.52\00:11:37.76 And by God's grace, you know, 00:11:37.79\00:11:39.26 I surrendered myself to the Lord 00:11:39.29\00:11:40.63 and, you know, the local church had donated 00:11:40.70\00:11:45.07 these books to the prison, 00:11:45.10\00:11:46.84 and there is a local elder 00:11:46.87\00:11:49.24 that would give Bible studies to the prisoners, 00:11:49.27\00:11:50.71 and he discovered that I was reading the books, 00:11:50.74\00:11:53.17 invited me to church and nurtured me 00:11:53.21\00:11:55.54 and that brought me in, and I was baptized. 00:11:55.58\00:11:57.95 That's an amazing story. Yeah. 00:11:57.98\00:12:00.82 Isn't that amazing story, Pastor? 00:12:00.85\00:12:02.18 Fantastic what God does. 00:12:02.22\00:12:04.09 You know, a lot of times, we go and do prison work. 00:12:04.12\00:12:07.46 Matter of fact, when I was younger, 00:12:07.49\00:12:08.82 I loved prison ministry, 00:12:08.86\00:12:10.23 and we still have a very active one 00:12:10.26\00:12:11.66 here in our church. 00:12:11.69\00:12:13.03 But a lot of times, 00:12:13.06\00:12:14.40 you meet those who work in these institutions, 00:12:14.43\00:12:16.23 and you think, "Well, he's just a guard." 00:12:16.26\00:12:18.37 But God got you started there and then moved you through. 00:12:18.40\00:12:22.74 Right. Yeah. 00:12:22.77\00:12:24.11 You learn a lot, you know, 00:12:24.14\00:12:25.47 the motto is fair, firm, and consistent 00:12:25.51\00:12:27.48 when you're working with the inmates. 00:12:27.51\00:12:29.18 And, you know, it kind of carries over 00:12:29.21\00:12:31.11 because when you're out on the field, 00:12:31.15\00:12:34.02 you have to incorporate those principles, 00:12:34.05\00:12:36.15 you know, when you're working with people. 00:12:36.18\00:12:37.65 Wow, it does happen. 00:12:37.69\00:12:39.45 Pastor Harry, that's an amazing principle. 00:12:39.49\00:12:42.46 What about your trek in ministry? 00:12:42.49\00:12:44.43 You know, I started out in healthcare, 00:12:44.46\00:12:46.80 and I never thought that I was going to be a pastor, 00:12:46.83\00:12:50.87 but I did have a passion for leading people to Jesus. 00:12:50.90\00:12:54.67 I wanted to be a health educator, 00:12:54.70\00:12:56.71 Bible worker. 00:12:56.74\00:12:58.37 And God transferred me into pastoring, 00:12:58.41\00:13:03.14 and I've been very thankful 00:13:03.18\00:13:05.08 to be in God's great harvest field. 00:13:05.11\00:13:08.08 Wow. 00:13:08.12\00:13:09.45 And you're still in God's great harvest field. 00:13:09.48\00:13:12.52 Absolutely. Both of you are, you know. 00:13:12.55\00:13:15.46 But your ministry, 00:13:15.49\00:13:17.89 Prophetic Facts, you've been involved, 00:13:17.93\00:13:20.90 as you said with Amazing Facts about 12 years, 00:13:20.93\00:13:23.03 but Prophetic Facts has taken you 00:13:23.06\00:13:24.40 to some unique places around the world, 00:13:24.43\00:13:26.37 and we want to talk about some of those. 00:13:26.40\00:13:28.74 One of those that we mentioned prior to the program, 00:13:28.77\00:13:30.81 we like to get together and talk about it, the Congo. 00:13:30.84\00:13:34.78 I want you kind of walk us, 00:13:34.81\00:13:36.14 you have some pictures with you today. 00:13:36.18\00:13:37.55 Walk us through 00:13:37.58\00:13:38.91 because people listening may hear the Congo. 00:13:38.95\00:13:41.65 I know that's somewhere in Africa, 00:13:41.68\00:13:43.25 but when we think of ministry in a simplistic way 00:13:43.28\00:13:46.02 here sometimes in America but talk about that first? 00:13:46.05\00:13:47.99 Well, little background testimony 00:13:48.02\00:13:49.36 to our experience in Congo is 00:13:49.39\00:13:51.16 I was doing a series of meetings 00:13:51.19\00:13:53.23 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. 00:13:53.26\00:13:54.83 One of the leaders has a ministry 00:13:54.86\00:13:57.10 called Precious Present Truth, and they have... 00:13:57.17\00:13:59.23 Most of their ministry is focused in Africa, Congo, 00:13:59.27\00:14:01.97 Rwanda, Uganda, and Nigeria as well. 00:14:02.00\00:14:04.84 So we were filming the series, 00:14:04.87\00:14:07.11 and she was putting on the makeup for the filming, 00:14:07.18\00:14:10.35 and we were talking about Congo and her ministry. 00:14:10.38\00:14:12.95 And she says, "We need a speaker to go to Congo. 00:14:12.98\00:14:14.95 We're looking for someone 00:14:14.98\00:14:16.32 to do a series of meetings there." 00:14:16.35\00:14:17.69 Well, they were gonna do a series of meetings 00:14:17.72\00:14:19.05 in the local University of Kinshasa 00:14:19.09\00:14:21.49 which is the capital of Congo. 00:14:21.52\00:14:23.93 And she said, 00:14:23.96\00:14:25.29 "But we're gonna do another series in the local prison." 00:14:25.33\00:14:28.43 I said, "What prison?" 00:14:28.46\00:14:29.80 She says, "I don't know yet exactly." 00:14:29.83\00:14:31.17 But she gave me the contact information 00:14:31.20\00:14:32.73 of the local ministers there. 00:14:32.77\00:14:34.40 So I reached out to them, 00:14:34.44\00:14:35.77 and they told me it was the Makala prison. 00:14:35.80\00:14:37.54 I did some research on Makala prison. 00:14:37.61\00:14:39.87 It's the largest prison in Congo. 00:14:39.91\00:14:42.31 Wow. 00:14:42.34\00:14:43.68 And just a little background to Congo, 00:14:43.75\00:14:45.28 it's a war-torn country. 00:14:45.31\00:14:46.92 It's a mineral rich country, they have, 00:14:46.95\00:14:49.32 you know, the blood diamond business in the past, 00:14:49.35\00:14:51.59 they have... 00:14:51.62\00:14:52.95 The richest country in uranium, coltan 00:14:52.99\00:14:56.73 which is a very rare metal that they use 00:14:56.76\00:14:59.09 in the manufacturing of cell phones. 00:14:59.13\00:15:00.90 So you have a very rich, mineral rich country, 00:15:00.93\00:15:03.47 there's a lot of corruption there. 00:15:03.50\00:15:05.40 But the prison, the New York Times 00:15:05.43\00:15:08.77 had an article a year before I arrived 00:15:08.80\00:15:11.44 that they had a prison break there. 00:15:11.47\00:15:13.81 Now this is incredible. 00:15:13.88\00:15:15.28 Eight thousand inmates, 4,200 people broke out, 00:15:15.31\00:15:18.38 80 people got killed, 20 vehicles got burned down. 00:15:18.41\00:15:21.98 So this is the prison they want us to go 00:15:22.02\00:15:23.72 and do meetings. 00:15:23.79\00:15:25.12 But you know, Jesus says that gospel is to go 00:15:25.15\00:15:26.49 to all the world. 00:15:26.52\00:15:27.86 And it's a challenge, of course, 00:15:27.89\00:15:29.22 but still, there's people who need to hear the gospel. 00:15:29.26\00:15:31.09 So I accepted it and... 00:15:31.13\00:15:33.60 Yeah, this picture here, is that outside the prison? 00:15:33.63\00:15:35.40 This is outside the prison, yeah. 00:15:35.43\00:15:37.47 When you think about that kind of... 00:15:37.50\00:15:39.30 And I'm looking at that tower that they have out there, 00:15:39.33\00:15:41.54 and I'm comparing that security tower 00:15:41.57\00:15:43.81 to the ones in the United States, 00:15:43.84\00:15:45.17 that doesn't look that secure. 00:15:45.21\00:15:47.11 No. 00:15:47.18\00:15:48.51 You know, it doesn't look that secure. 00:15:48.54\00:15:49.88 And this is what? 00:15:49.91\00:15:51.25 This is a checkpoint actually. 00:15:51.28\00:15:54.02 There's four different checkpoints 00:15:54.05\00:15:55.38 that we had to go through to get into the prison. 00:15:55.42\00:15:57.42 But this is actual corridor 00:15:57.49\00:15:58.82 that takes you out to a courtyard 00:15:58.85\00:16:00.19 where they have different activities 00:16:00.22\00:16:03.36 for the prisoners 00:16:03.43\00:16:04.76 and then where we set up 00:16:04.79\00:16:06.13 our tents to have our series there. 00:16:06.16\00:16:07.50 So while you're walking through this corridor, 00:16:07.53\00:16:09.03 you're at the mercy of the Lord and the prisoners? 00:16:09.06\00:16:11.00 Absolutely. The Lord is... 00:16:11.03\00:16:12.37 And this is a picture of... 00:16:12.40\00:16:14.67 This is a picture of our group of people 00:16:14.70\00:16:16.37 that came out to hear the messages 00:16:16.40\00:16:17.74 each and every morning. 00:16:17.77\00:16:19.11 So the preaching was in the... 00:16:19.14\00:16:20.48 Well, obviously, 00:16:20.51\00:16:21.84 you don't want to do it at night, not in a prison. 00:16:21.88\00:16:23.21 Right, there's not much... 00:16:23.24\00:16:24.75 I mean, they have electricity in the offices 00:16:24.78\00:16:27.68 but not where the prisoners are. 00:16:27.72\00:16:29.52 So they would actually set up panels, 00:16:29.55\00:16:34.76 solar panels to give power to our speakers 00:16:34.79\00:16:38.33 and to our computer and projector. 00:16:38.36\00:16:40.10 We had a sheet that would hang down from a wall 00:16:40.13\00:16:42.36 that we would project the images 00:16:42.40\00:16:44.37 as they would learn each and everything. 00:16:44.40\00:16:45.73 During the day? Absolutely, yeah. 00:16:45.77\00:16:48.04 Wow, that's a challenge. Yeah. 00:16:48.07\00:16:50.01 So a lot of what you're saying 00:16:50.04\00:16:51.41 has to carry through the conviction 00:16:51.44\00:16:53.04 of your preaching of proclaiming. 00:16:53.07\00:16:56.11 People are examining you every word you say. 00:16:56.14\00:16:58.15 You preach the Word, the Word does the work. 00:16:58.18\00:17:00.55 Wow, that's amazing. Yeah. 00:17:00.62\00:17:02.62 That's a kind of evangelism. 00:17:02.65\00:17:04.19 So what kind of results 00:17:04.22\00:17:05.55 did you get there in the prison? 00:17:05.59\00:17:06.92 Well, we actually had a series of miracles. 00:17:06.96\00:17:08.49 They wouldn't let us into the prison 00:17:08.52\00:17:09.86 when we got there. 00:17:09.89\00:17:11.23 There is a verbal agreement that we would come in, 00:17:11.26\00:17:12.89 but the relationship between Congo and United States 00:17:12.93\00:17:16.10 is a little shaky based upon their inhuman treatment 00:17:16.13\00:17:18.37 of their prisoners. 00:17:18.40\00:17:19.73 So they thought I was a spy, 00:17:19.77\00:17:21.10 so they refused to let me come in. 00:17:21.14\00:17:23.81 So we didn't know... 00:17:23.84\00:17:25.17 The kind of document that's in secret, so to speak. 00:17:25.21\00:17:27.78 You know, we didn't know what we're gonna do 00:17:27.81\00:17:29.14 and I remember... 00:17:29.18\00:17:30.55 I wrote a series of bridge sermons 00:17:30.58\00:17:32.38 for Your Best Pathways to Health with Lela, 00:17:32.41\00:17:34.78 you know, Lela? 00:17:34.82\00:17:36.15 Yeah, Doctor Lela. Lewis. 00:17:36.18\00:17:37.52 And she had mentioned to me prior to me going to Congo 00:17:37.59\00:17:40.36 that she had a friend 00:17:40.39\00:17:41.89 that worked in the government of Congo, the DRC. 00:17:41.92\00:17:44.83 So I called her, she gave me his phone number, 00:17:44.86\00:17:48.03 and I called him, and he answered. 00:17:48.06\00:17:50.37 He's actually the minister 00:17:50.40\00:17:51.73 for social justice in the government. 00:17:51.77\00:17:53.57 So I told him our dilemma, we can't get in. 00:17:53.64\00:17:56.00 So he said, "Just stay tight, I'll be there." 00:17:56.04\00:17:59.21 So it took him about three hours, 00:17:59.24\00:18:01.24 but he arrived and got us into the prison. 00:18:01.28\00:18:03.98 Wow. 00:18:04.05\00:18:05.38 So you know, the devil does not want these 00:18:05.41\00:18:07.02 men and women to hear the gospel. 00:18:07.05\00:18:09.95 It was the very first time that anyone 00:18:09.98\00:18:11.79 from the outside 00:18:11.82\00:18:13.36 would do a series of meetings in that prison. 00:18:13.39\00:18:15.02 Wow. Yeah. 00:18:15.06\00:18:16.39 Well, the mission of Christ is to set at liberty 00:18:16.42\00:18:18.16 those who are bound, set the captive free. 00:18:18.19\00:18:21.46 Absolutely. 00:18:21.50\00:18:22.83 Proclaiming the acceptable year of the Lord. 00:18:22.86\00:18:24.93 And a lot of times when you go into inmates, 00:18:24.97\00:18:26.74 when you sit down before inmates, a lot of times, 00:18:26.77\00:18:30.31 this is what the Lord allowed to happen to them 00:18:30.34\00:18:33.71 to get the gospel proclaimed to them 00:18:33.78\00:18:35.78 because many of them 00:18:35.81\00:18:37.15 wouldn't hear it on the streets. 00:18:37.18\00:18:38.51 No way. 00:18:38.55\00:18:39.88 They wouldn't hear it outside of the prison walls. 00:18:39.91\00:18:41.25 This, for many of them, 00:18:41.28\00:18:42.62 is probably the only opportunity 00:18:42.65\00:18:43.99 that they will ever hear the gospel perhaps. 00:18:44.02\00:18:45.99 But the Lord wanted to send there. 00:18:46.02\00:18:47.46 You know, we started with an incentive, 00:18:47.49\00:18:50.53 we couldn't speak to all the prisoners 00:18:50.56\00:18:53.19 but we would hand our bread for them 00:18:53.23\00:18:55.56 because they have their own gardens, 00:18:55.60\00:18:57.27 they don't have a cafeteria like we do here in the States 00:18:57.30\00:18:59.67 where they can go through a line and get their food. 00:18:59.70\00:19:01.97 They don't have anything to eat. 00:19:02.00\00:19:03.81 So they have to grow their food. 00:19:03.84\00:19:05.17 They have to grow their own food 00:19:05.21\00:19:06.54 in the prison, yeah. 00:19:06.57\00:19:09.61 They're all working in the gardens. 00:19:09.64\00:19:11.45 If they don't work, they don't eat. 00:19:11.48\00:19:13.52 So American prisons are like hotels in comparison. 00:19:13.55\00:19:16.02 Absolutely, yeah. Wow. 00:19:16.05\00:19:17.39 It's amazing. 00:19:17.42\00:19:18.75 I'm looking at your background now, police, prisons, 00:19:18.79\00:19:21.86 and then you go to set the captive free. 00:19:21.89\00:19:24.89 Yeah, liberation. 00:19:24.93\00:19:26.26 Isn't that amazing? 00:19:26.29\00:19:27.63 Liberation, I don't want to call it liberation theology 00:19:27.66\00:19:29.63 but they are being set at liberty. 00:19:29.66\00:19:31.87 And what kind of team 00:19:31.90\00:19:33.84 did you have that went with you? 00:19:33.87\00:19:35.20 You and who else? 00:19:35.24\00:19:36.57 We had a team of local pastors 00:19:36.60\00:19:39.11 and elders of the local churches 00:19:39.14\00:19:40.98 that would go in with us to help. 00:19:41.01\00:19:42.58 We also had a guy that work for the government 00:19:42.61\00:19:44.91 that would be our protection, 00:19:44.95\00:19:46.28 if you will, that would let us in and out. 00:19:46.31\00:19:48.25 Yeah, you had a picture of an escort group, 00:19:48.28\00:19:50.39 kind of your security detail. 00:19:50.42\00:19:51.75 I like to bring that up because it was amazing. 00:19:51.79\00:19:54.26 It was not a safe place to be all the time 00:19:54.29\00:19:56.46 but you had a group of people committed to your safety. 00:19:56.49\00:19:59.56 And I call that your escort group, 00:19:59.59\00:20:01.86 maybe they could bring that picture up 00:20:01.90\00:20:03.23 to show this group of guys that helped you get in 00:20:03.26\00:20:07.67 or kind of kept you secure when you were there. 00:20:07.70\00:20:09.40 They're great group of guys, very faithful, hard working. 00:20:09.44\00:20:12.17 Yeah, there they are right there. 00:20:12.21\00:20:13.61 Yeah, the escorts. The escorts. 00:20:13.68\00:20:15.58 That's good, people committed. 00:20:15.61\00:20:17.71 Now were they workers there, 00:20:17.75\00:20:19.48 or where they part of the pastoral team 00:20:19.51\00:20:21.72 outside of the ministry. 00:20:21.75\00:20:23.08 Well, the guy on my right with the red shirt 00:20:23.12\00:20:24.82 and the striped ties, Meshak, he's actually a prisoner. 00:20:24.85\00:20:27.99 He's my translator. 00:20:28.02\00:20:29.36 Yeah. So he's in there? 00:20:29.39\00:20:31.39 He is in there, he's been there for 17 years. 00:20:31.43\00:20:33.93 Yeah. 00:20:34.00\00:20:35.33 But he's dressed like a pastor. 00:20:35.36\00:20:37.20 You know what's interesting about this prison 00:20:37.27\00:20:38.83 is they wouldn't let me bring my phone in 00:20:38.87\00:20:41.57 or any type of equipment. 00:20:41.60\00:20:43.30 They gave us a hard time. 00:20:43.34\00:20:44.67 I couldn't bring any camera in. 00:20:44.71\00:20:46.44 But once you get into the prison, 00:20:46.47\00:20:47.94 the prisoners have cell phones, 00:20:47.98\00:20:49.31 so they're taking these pictures for us. 00:20:49.34\00:20:51.38 So these are the pictures you got from the inmates. 00:20:51.41\00:20:54.05 That's right. Wow, wow, wow. 00:20:54.12\00:20:56.82 What do you think about that, Pastor Harry? 00:20:56.89\00:20:58.22 Have you had a chance to go to the Congo? 00:20:58.25\00:21:00.26 I've not been into Congo, I've been in 28 other countries 00:21:00.29\00:21:03.66 but that's not one that I've been in. 00:21:03.73\00:21:05.79 So you have seen evangelism 00:21:05.83\00:21:07.50 outside of the walls of the United States also? 00:21:07.53\00:21:09.40 You know, I've had the privilege of assisting 00:21:09.43\00:21:11.70 with evangelism in Kiev area 00:21:11.73\00:21:16.64 in Simferopol and also in the Philippines, 00:21:16.71\00:21:20.98 and in some other places overseas. 00:21:21.01\00:21:23.01 How about that! 00:21:23.04\00:21:24.48 So by the time we're gonna get to you, 00:21:24.51\00:21:26.35 your story in just a moment how the Lord linked you up to, 00:21:26.38\00:21:29.08 but not only were you in the Congo, 00:21:29.12\00:21:32.09 but as Pastor Harry just mentioned, 00:21:32.12\00:21:36.29 Pastor Sharley just mentioned, 00:21:36.32\00:21:37.99 you also had a chance to go to the Philippines. 00:21:38.03\00:21:40.23 I did. 00:21:40.30\00:21:41.63 Yeah, I partnered with It Is Written this past summer. 00:21:41.66\00:21:44.30 Is that John Bradshaw? 00:21:44.33\00:21:46.47 It is, yeah, John. 00:21:46.50\00:21:47.84 So I think I saw when he was preaching out... 00:21:47.87\00:21:49.70 You were with that team then? Cleveland, Harry Feierabend, 00:32:13.93\00:32:19.30 all these guys, when they go to town, 00:32:19.33\00:32:20.94 they're gonna be there four to six months. 00:32:20.97\00:32:22.70 I mean, that's serious commitment. 00:32:22.74\00:32:24.24 Nowadays, we have to take evangelism 00:32:24.31\00:32:27.21 into different direction. 00:32:27.28\00:32:28.61 Talk about some of your methods of evangelism? 00:32:28.64\00:32:30.15 Well, typically, my series are four weeks. 00:32:30.18\00:32:32.58 We do five nights a week for four weeks. 00:32:32.61\00:32:34.15 We have 24 presentations. 00:32:34.22\00:32:36.15 I feel like it gives us enough time to get, 00:32:36.18\00:32:38.52 you know, the full gospel message to the people 00:32:38.55\00:32:40.76 that are coming. 00:32:40.79\00:32:42.12 You had to make intelligent decisions, yeah. 00:32:42.16\00:32:44.69 And that is good too. 00:32:44.73\00:32:46.19 But then you had a chance... 00:32:46.23\00:32:47.60 Now, I'm gonna bring Pastor Sharley anyhow. 00:32:47.63\00:32:49.53 You had an opportunity not to do evangelism 00:32:49.56\00:32:51.70 not only in the Congo and the Philippines 00:32:51.73\00:32:53.94 but a number of other places here too... 00:32:53.97\00:32:56.30 We talked about some of the miracle stories. 00:32:56.34\00:33:00.58 Did you talk about Meshak? 00:33:00.61\00:33:03.04 Oh, yeah, the Congo translator, he also was an inmate. 00:33:03.08\00:33:07.62 But let me go to Pastor Sharley now because in Yak... 00:33:07.65\00:33:13.66 Good things are not only happening overseas, correct? 00:33:13.69\00:33:16.26 Absolutely. 00:33:16.29\00:33:17.63 Right here in the USA and around the world, 00:33:17.66\00:33:21.83 the Holy Spirit is working. That's right. 00:33:21.86\00:33:24.67 So let's talk about how did you plan 00:33:24.70\00:33:26.10 to get Pastor Morgan 00:33:26.13\00:33:28.60 to your church to do evangelism? 00:33:28.64\00:33:30.14 Well, we tried about three times, 00:33:30.21\00:33:32.17 didn't we, Pastor Jason, 00:33:32.21\00:33:34.01 to have you come to Yakima and something seem to interrupt 00:33:34.08\00:33:37.55 the schedule each time, 00:33:37.58\00:33:38.91 and so we delayed it another year 00:33:38.95\00:33:40.62 and then another year. 00:33:40.65\00:33:41.98 And then finally, we started in September, 00:33:42.02\00:33:45.25 and we had a tremendous response from our community. 00:33:45.29\00:33:50.43 We're in a city of about 94,000 people 00:33:50.46\00:33:55.46 and we tried to invite everyone 00:33:55.50\00:33:58.30 by mailing a personal invitation to each home. 00:33:58.33\00:34:02.44 And mailed out over 40,000 invitations, 00:34:02.47\00:34:07.38 and we had, on the opening weekend over 110 guests 00:34:07.41\00:34:14.12 besides those who are attending and supporting 00:34:14.15\00:34:17.42 from our local churches. 00:34:17.49\00:34:18.82 Okay. 00:34:18.85\00:34:20.89 And was that a four-week series also? 00:34:20.96\00:34:23.53 It was, yeah. Okay. 00:34:23.56\00:34:24.89 You know, they say it's never a good time to hold a series 00:34:24.93\00:34:26.56 because the devil is gonna repeat with every single time. 00:34:26.59\00:34:29.03 But this, even though we were trying to schedule 00:34:29.06\00:34:31.47 the right time, it was the right time 00:34:31.50\00:34:33.44 when we find no better time for the series 00:34:33.47\00:34:35.37 because the people that came for the community 00:34:35.40\00:34:36.81 which is so ripe, really excited, 00:34:36.84\00:34:39.64 and they stayed with us through the four-week series. 00:34:39.67\00:34:41.81 You know, the beautiful thing about evangelism is 00:34:41.84\00:34:43.58 you might come to be, you never know, 00:34:43.65\00:34:45.68 there are three methods to evangelism. 00:34:45.71\00:34:47.32 What are they? 00:34:47.35\00:34:48.68 Planting, watering, and... 00:34:48.72\00:34:50.79 Harvesting. And harvesting. 00:34:50.82\00:34:52.49 And you might be, your series for some, might be a planting, 00:34:52.52\00:34:55.59 for others, harvesting, for others, watering. 00:34:55.62\00:34:59.86 You never know, in that audience, 00:34:59.89\00:35:01.76 there are at least those three categories 00:35:01.80\00:35:05.20 are represented by everybody sitting there. 00:35:05.23\00:35:07.77 It's a process. It's a cycle, for sure. 00:35:07.80\00:35:10.34 Now, the reason I mentioned that 00:35:10.41\00:35:11.74 is because a lot of times, you know, we're so excited 00:35:11.77\00:35:13.58 about the harvesting that comes. 00:35:13.61\00:35:16.04 We never go to an evangelistic series and say, 00:35:16.08\00:35:18.91 "You know, I'm not looking forward to baptizing anybody." 00:35:18.95\00:35:21.95 I mean, that's the most... 00:35:21.98\00:35:23.59 Was the pessimistic evangelist outreach. 00:35:23.62\00:35:26.39 But we know that God has a timing to evangelism. 00:35:26.42\00:35:29.02 So I'm glad you say that because Pastor Sharley said, 00:35:29.06\00:35:32.46 "We tried many times to get you there." 00:35:32.49\00:35:34.80 But then the Lord knows when the time is right. 00:35:34.83\00:35:36.97 Absolutely. That's right. 00:35:37.00\00:35:38.37 And we are praying all along the way 00:35:38.40\00:35:40.47 that God would lead. 00:35:40.54\00:35:41.90 And you know, when you talk about an evangelistic cycle, 00:35:41.94\00:35:46.27 that's really important. 00:35:46.31\00:35:47.94 It isn't just a reaping series that's evangelism. 00:35:47.98\00:35:51.41 It's how we live our lives. 00:35:51.45\00:35:52.78 It's how we share Jesus in the workplace. 00:35:52.81\00:35:55.05 And in Yakima where I live, 00:35:55.08\00:35:57.39 I live surrounded on three sides by orchards, 00:35:57.42\00:36:01.12 apple orchards, pear orchards, 00:36:01.16\00:36:03.06 apricot orchards, 00:36:03.09\00:36:04.43 and that's the main backbone of the economy 00:36:04.46\00:36:07.80 in the Yakima Valley is fruit, Washington apples. 00:36:07.83\00:36:10.97 Most loads come from Yakima County. 00:36:11.00\00:36:14.34 And we see them planting new orchards. 00:36:14.37\00:36:18.51 We see them weeding them, and pruning them, 00:36:18.54\00:36:22.41 and nurturing them. 00:36:22.44\00:36:24.05 And then we see them harvesting the fruit. 00:36:24.08\00:36:26.48 And that's what God wants us 00:36:26.51\00:36:28.02 to do in our outreach for Jesus. 00:36:28.05\00:36:30.29 That's right. And that happens all year long. 00:36:30.32\00:36:32.59 All year long. That's right. 00:36:32.62\00:36:33.96 It's a round... 00:36:33.99\00:36:35.32 There's always something going on in the orchards. 00:36:35.36\00:36:37.33 And sometimes, an evangelist like Pastor Jason 00:36:37.36\00:36:40.80 will come to town and somebody will say, 00:36:40.83\00:36:42.73 "We've been waiting for 15 years for that guy 00:36:42.76\00:36:45.00 to join the church and finally happened." 00:36:45.03\00:36:47.64 You know, what kind of exciting stories 00:36:47.67\00:36:50.71 did you have out of the series you did in Yakima? 00:36:50.74\00:36:53.27 We have several. 00:36:53.31\00:36:54.64 We had a family that was coming out each night, Suzanne, 00:36:54.68\00:36:58.25 and she brought her children with her. 00:36:58.28\00:37:00.35 She's married to a judge in Yakima, the highest court, 00:37:00.42\00:37:04.75 District Court in Yakima, coming each night. 00:37:04.79\00:37:08.82 She was having some trials in her life. 00:37:08.86\00:37:11.29 And a handbill came at the right time, 00:37:11.33\00:37:13.13 the invitation came, and so to see her grow 00:37:13.16\00:37:16.13 each and every night, 00:37:16.16\00:37:17.50 just excited that Jesus was coming soon, 00:37:17.57\00:37:19.63 how the prophecies are valid, how she can trust the Bible. 00:37:19.67\00:37:22.77 And her son, her teenage son, 00:37:22.80\00:37:26.91 a very bright young man, 00:37:26.98\00:37:28.61 in high school, he came every night 00:37:28.64\00:37:32.91 so fascinated by the fact that history was verifying 00:37:32.95\00:37:37.39 what the Bible was predicting and what the Bible had stated 00:37:37.42\00:37:41.29 about the lives of those in the Bible. 00:37:41.32\00:37:43.73 To see someone that's 14 years old, he's 14, 00:37:43.76\00:37:46.39 have such an interest in Bible prophecy 00:37:46.43\00:37:49.16 and testing everything that's being said 00:37:49.20\00:37:53.10 from the Bible was amazing, you know. 00:37:53.13\00:37:55.77 I like that because the way you balance that together, 00:37:55.80\00:38:00.91 how does it... 00:38:00.98\00:38:02.31 History is prophecy revealed 00:38:02.34\00:38:06.28 and prophecy is history concealed. 00:38:06.31\00:38:09.45 So prophecy conceals and prognosticates history. 00:38:09.48\00:38:14.69 History affirms and reveals prophecy. 00:38:14.72\00:38:18.33 So you have that two working together 00:38:18.36\00:38:21.06 as we say about the Old Testament, 00:38:21.10\00:38:22.56 you know, the whole same, the Old Testament. 00:38:22.60\00:38:24.37 New Testament concealed... 00:38:24.40\00:38:25.80 New Testament is Old Testament revealed. 00:38:25.83\00:38:27.64 So you have that same cycle in evangelism. 00:38:27.67\00:38:29.80 Yeah. 00:38:29.84\00:38:31.24 And it's exciting to see somebody... 00:38:31.27\00:38:33.21 I mean, you're young man, don't disagree with me. 00:38:33.24\00:38:38.21 And God has always keeping every generation, 00:38:38.25\00:38:41.15 evangelism has to continue to go and grow. 00:38:41.18\00:38:43.39 That's right. 00:38:43.42\00:38:44.75 And your evangelism, talking about Yakima, 00:38:44.79\00:38:47.66 do we have some pictures that show 00:38:47.69\00:38:49.19 maybe some of the people 00:38:49.22\00:38:50.56 that attended your meeting there 00:38:50.63\00:38:51.96 and how things turned out in Yakima? 00:38:51.99\00:38:54.00 There's a particular family that you have a story about 00:38:54.03\00:38:56.40 and maybe as we bring their picture up, 00:38:56.43\00:38:58.33 tell us about this family here? 00:38:58.37\00:39:00.94 Yeah, this is the family 00:39:00.97\00:39:02.30 that Pastor Jason just mentioned. 00:39:02.34\00:39:04.37 And it was a beautiful thing 00:39:04.41\00:39:05.74 to see this family baptized together, 00:39:05.77\00:39:09.14 and this is myself and our associate pastor, 00:39:09.18\00:39:12.35 Pastor Austin. 00:39:12.38\00:39:13.72 Okay, Pastor Austin, to my right there. 00:39:13.75\00:39:16.18 Okay. 00:39:16.22\00:39:17.62 What was unique about this baptism, 00:39:17.65\00:39:20.96 them just making the decision as a family together? 00:39:20.99\00:39:23.43 Well, and like Pastor Jason said, 00:39:23.46\00:39:25.39 it was the right timing. 00:39:25.43\00:39:26.80 There are some challenges there, 00:39:26.83\00:39:28.83 and it was just at the time when this family needed 00:39:28.86\00:39:33.20 what God was offering as far as peace of mind. 00:39:33.23\00:39:39.01 And their children had previously attended our school. 00:39:39.04\00:39:45.81 And someone had invited them to these meetings. 00:39:45.85\00:39:50.89 But what really caught her attention 00:39:50.92\00:39:53.99 was the color flyer invitation that came in the mail. 00:39:54.06\00:39:58.16 And so God works all these things together. 00:39:58.19\00:40:00.70 And they came. Wow. 00:40:00.73\00:40:03.77 A lot of times people don't see the timing of a series 00:40:03.80\00:40:08.74 in terms of how people respond to the invitation. 00:40:08.77\00:40:11.24 I mean, there's a lot of people 00:40:11.27\00:40:12.74 that are in the middle of a crisis in their life. 00:40:12.77\00:40:15.08 And they've been praying for God to liberate them, 00:40:15.11\00:40:17.65 to show them the right way to go. 00:40:17.68\00:40:19.28 And they get the invitation, and they come. 00:40:19.31\00:40:21.95 And just to see them break down in tears that, 00:40:21.98\00:40:26.96 you know, looking for something that will give them relief, 00:40:26.99\00:40:29.76 looking for something 00:40:29.79\00:40:31.13 that will be the answer to that dilemma, 00:40:31.16\00:40:32.49 and they find it in a three angels' message. 00:40:32.53\00:40:34.36 They find it in the soon coming of Jesus Christ. 00:40:34.40\00:40:37.00 This is what people need to see. 00:40:37.07\00:40:38.40 They need to see how the gospel impacts people, 00:40:38.43\00:40:41.17 you know, in their lives. 00:40:41.20\00:40:42.64 And meetings are like, 00:40:42.67\00:40:44.01 we call them like the pressure cooker. 00:40:44.04\00:40:46.04 You know, it prepares people, it ripens them, 00:40:46.07\00:40:48.18 you know, for the harvest. 00:40:48.21\00:40:50.15 And that's what's up. 00:40:50.18\00:40:51.55 So now when you look at evangelism... 00:40:51.58\00:40:53.65 I think there's also a baptismal group. 00:40:53.72\00:40:55.65 You had a wonderful harvest there in Yakima. 00:40:55.68\00:40:57.09 We did. 00:40:57.12\00:40:58.45 We had 25 baptisms about month 00:40:58.49\00:41:00.46 after we started our meetings, and people were so happy. 00:41:00.49\00:41:05.36 So there were so many smiles 00:41:05.39\00:41:07.50 and tears of joy on that baptismal day. 00:41:07.53\00:41:11.77 You know, the word baptism is an amazing word. 00:41:11.80\00:41:14.37 It's been used century after century, 00:41:14.40\00:41:17.81 after century, after century, after century. 00:41:17.84\00:41:19.71 But it is that public expression 00:41:19.74\00:41:22.11 of that private inward commitment to Christ. 00:41:22.14\00:41:24.81 Yes. 00:41:24.85\00:41:26.18 And so when people say baptism, 00:41:26.21\00:41:28.35 how does that thrill your soul when you see a person 00:41:28.38\00:41:31.15 going down in the watery grave? 00:41:31.19\00:41:32.59 We know the Bible says Jesus saves, 00:41:32.62\00:41:34.29 but the Bible also says baptism does save, 1 Peter Chapter 3. 00:41:34.32\00:41:38.83 It brings power, you know, in Pentecost, Acts Chapter 2. 00:41:38.86\00:41:41.83 What do we do with these things that we've heard? 00:41:41.86\00:41:44.50 Peter said, "Repent and be baptized." 00:41:44.53\00:41:46.47 So when you take the initiative and you do what God requires, 00:41:46.50\00:41:49.77 showing in a public way, "I'm giving my life to Him." 00:41:49.80\00:41:52.94 He meets us where we are but doesn't leave us there. 00:41:52.97\00:41:55.01 He's not just our Savior, He's the Lord of our life. 00:41:55.04\00:41:57.15 And so we're following Him. 00:41:57.18\00:41:59.15 You go down to the water, 00:41:59.18\00:42:00.65 it does something in your heart. 00:42:00.72\00:42:02.82 It does. It changes. 00:42:02.85\00:42:04.79 It's the washing away or burying the past 00:42:04.82\00:42:08.12 is the phrase we like to use. 00:42:08.16\00:42:10.13 But you mentioned something about a cycle of evangelism, 00:42:10.16\00:42:13.26 and I think both of you alluded to that a little bit at a time. 00:42:13.29\00:42:16.67 You mentioned that about the apples, 00:42:16.70\00:42:18.30 the orchard that you saw around your house. 00:42:18.33\00:42:19.93 It's amazing how God gave you that daily example. 00:42:19.97\00:42:22.60 You can see all they planted, all just leave it alone. 00:42:22.64\00:42:25.24 No. 00:42:25.27\00:42:26.61 You got to what... 00:42:26.68\00:42:28.01 What are some of the things that prevents the harvest? 00:42:28.04\00:42:29.44 Let's talk about that. 00:42:29.48\00:42:30.85 You know, I've heard people say, you know, 00:42:30.88\00:42:33.82 "Evangelism doesn't work anymore." 00:42:33.85\00:42:35.85 Well, if a farmer didn't do the work during the year, 00:42:35.88\00:42:41.79 there wouldn't be a harvest either. 00:42:41.82\00:42:43.83 So God has a plan, and it's like farming. 00:42:43.86\00:42:47.10 It's caring for, caring for people, caring, 00:42:47.13\00:42:50.87 loving people, meeting their needs. 00:42:50.90\00:42:53.54 And so we try to have a very active cycle of outreach 00:42:53.57\00:42:57.74 through our congregation. 00:42:57.77\00:42:59.11 We have a congregation with about 00:42:59.14\00:43:00.51 an average attendance of about 200. 00:43:00.58\00:43:02.41 So it's not a huge congregation, 00:43:02.44\00:43:03.78 but it's a medium sized church 00:43:03.85\00:43:05.81 and very active core of volunteers in that church. 00:43:05.85\00:43:11.25 And so we do three major health and spirituality seminars 00:43:11.29\00:43:16.83 during the year, 27 Tuesday nights of the year. 00:43:16.86\00:43:23.13 Physicians and other health professionals 00:43:23.16\00:43:25.60 donate their time to speak along with the pastors, 00:43:25.63\00:43:30.11 and we get to know people. 00:43:30.14\00:43:31.74 We even deliver pears 00:43:31.77\00:43:35.08 from one of our member's orchards 00:43:35.11\00:43:38.51 to those who have graduated from our seminar 00:43:38.55\00:43:41.75 and get to meet them in their home 00:43:41.78\00:43:43.42 and be on a friendly basis with them. 00:43:43.49\00:43:45.69 Right. 00:43:45.72\00:43:47.06 And then we do other outreach. 00:43:47.09\00:43:49.32 We do children's outreach. 00:43:49.36\00:43:51.03 We have a monthly children's church, 00:43:51.06\00:43:52.66 Vacation Bible School on alternate years, 00:43:52.69\00:43:55.33 our church school. 00:43:55.36\00:43:57.37 And then we do Easter time program 00:43:57.40\00:44:02.67 called Living Last Supper, 00:44:02.70\00:44:04.64 a drama that has attracted a number of people 00:44:04.67\00:44:08.11 over the number of years to our church. 00:44:08.14\00:44:11.95 At the end of each year 00:44:11.98\00:44:15.82 for the last 10 years, 00:44:15.85\00:44:18.99 we've done Journey to Bethlehem which is a walking through, 00:44:19.02\00:44:23.22 an outdoor living town of Bethlehem. 00:44:23.26\00:44:26.06 Last year, we had 5,000 people walk through our church 00:44:26.09\00:44:29.76 and through the town of Bethlehem 00:44:29.80\00:44:32.07 and see 30 live animals, 00:44:32.10\00:44:34.87 150 costumed actors and even a live camel. 00:44:34.90\00:44:37.84 His name is Izzy. Now where does that come from? 00:44:37.87\00:44:40.38 Where's that whole walk through Bethlehem come from? 00:44:40.41\00:44:42.81 Did they put that up as a structure? 00:44:42.84\00:44:45.61 We build the town every year, 00:44:45.65\00:44:47.98 and then we store it for the next year. 00:44:48.02\00:44:50.22 And then we build it again the next year. 00:44:50.29\00:44:52.02 So it's your church's project. It is. 00:44:52.05\00:44:53.79 Our local church's project. 00:44:53.86\00:44:55.59 We have almost all of our able bodied members of our church 00:44:55.62\00:44:59.06 participating in some way. 00:44:59.09\00:45:00.80 And at the end of that Journey through Bethlehem 00:45:00.83\00:45:04.83 takes about a 20 minute walk, 00:45:04.87\00:45:07.34 there they come to the little ignored manger 00:45:07.37\00:45:12.57 and they see there in the quiet 00:45:12.61\00:45:15.68 where the Son of God came down to this earth to be our Savior. 00:45:15.71\00:45:20.55 Wow, look at that. Had you seen that? 00:45:20.62\00:45:23.15 I've never seen it, never been through. 00:45:23.18\00:45:24.72 No, there's something you missed in Yakima. 00:45:24.75\00:45:26.45 Well, I'm looking forward to going. 00:45:26.49\00:45:27.82 Maybe incorporate that in evangelism. 00:45:27.86\00:45:29.22 But evangelism in itself is a challenge all the time, 00:45:29.26\00:45:32.39 because what happens is, 00:45:32.43\00:45:33.80 I know having been involved in evangelism, 00:45:33.83\00:45:36.00 you know, Pastor Doug and I, 00:45:36.03\00:45:38.07 that's how my ministry began, 00:45:38.10\00:45:39.43 He and I in evangelism together. 00:45:39.47\00:45:41.40 So being out on the road and being a family man, 00:45:41.44\00:45:44.84 it can be a challenge sometimes. 00:45:44.87\00:45:47.08 What are some of the needs you have 00:45:47.11\00:45:49.14 that could even lighten that challenge 00:45:49.18\00:45:51.55 to be a help to your ministry? 00:45:51.58\00:45:53.45 Well, we do a lot of traveling. 00:45:53.52\00:45:54.92 I do anywhere from five to seven 00:45:54.95\00:45:56.69 full evangelistic meetings in a year. 00:45:56.72\00:46:01.59 And, you know, looking to get a motorhome, 00:46:01.62\00:46:03.19 a motorhome would really help get us place to place 00:46:03.22\00:46:06.63 and set up and utilize our time better for these meetings. 00:46:06.70\00:46:10.87 And that will help you have all, 00:46:10.90\00:46:12.40 because to travel and to fly, and I know as an evangelist, 00:46:12.43\00:46:15.77 you have certain... 00:46:15.80\00:46:17.14 It's tough. 00:46:17.21\00:46:18.54 Standard equipment you have to carry with you, 00:46:18.57\00:46:19.91 your materials, all that stuff that you carry. 00:46:19.94\00:46:21.28 We have to ship all that out, 00:46:21.31\00:46:22.64 and quite a few times in a year. 00:46:22.68\00:46:24.01 Yeah, if we had a motorhome, 00:46:24.05\00:46:25.38 that would really lighten that burden. 00:46:25.41\00:46:26.92 And you know, we wear the same suit 00:46:26.95\00:46:28.28 24 nights in a row. 00:46:28.32\00:46:29.65 That's right. 00:46:29.68\00:46:31.92 I'm being realistic about evangelism 00:46:31.95\00:46:34.16 because it really is. 00:46:34.19\00:46:35.52 You don't know how much you need 00:46:35.56\00:46:36.93 until you're out there on the road, 00:46:36.96\00:46:38.29 and you got there by plane, you think, 00:46:38.33\00:46:39.66 "Okay, well, you know, 00:46:39.69\00:46:41.03 the suit needs to be clean again." 00:46:41.06\00:46:42.60 And so you have in some of those challenges now, 00:46:42.63\00:46:44.73 but it will also lighten the burden for you 00:46:44.77\00:46:46.10 and your family. 00:46:46.13\00:46:47.47 That's right. Okay. 00:46:47.54\00:46:48.87 And so there may be somebody watching this program 00:46:48.90\00:46:50.51 that might say, "Hey, Prophetic Facts, 00:46:50.54\00:46:53.27 I would like to participate in supporting Prophetic Facts." 00:46:53.31\00:46:56.54 And you may... 00:46:56.58\00:46:57.98 And we'll give you an address at the end of this program, 00:46:58.01\00:47:00.75 where you can find out more about 00:47:00.82\00:47:03.02 Pastor Jason Morgan's ministry, Prophetic Facts, 00:47:03.05\00:47:06.22 which is a new and growing ministry. 00:47:06.25\00:47:08.16 But every evangelist will do 00:47:08.19\00:47:12.33 what God has called him to do. 00:47:12.36\00:47:14.10 But the Bible says that the man of God 00:47:14.13\00:47:16.20 may be thoroughly equipped. 00:47:16.23\00:47:18.03 And so we're talking about ways that you can participate 00:47:18.07\00:47:20.57 in thoroughly equipping him 00:47:20.64\00:47:22.04 so that it could be a lighter burden 00:47:22.07\00:47:23.41 on your family, your wife, your two children. 00:47:23.44\00:47:26.17 When I first got involved in evangelism, 00:47:26.21\00:47:28.08 just to show you how important this is, Pastor Doug and I, 00:47:28.11\00:47:31.15 those were the days when evangelism was six weeks. 00:47:31.18\00:47:33.92 My wife and I just returned home 00:47:33.95\00:47:36.58 from Heritage Singers. 00:47:36.62\00:47:38.12 We just, a year later, 00:47:38.15\00:47:39.75 came to Northern California Conference, 00:47:39.79\00:47:41.36 got involved in evangelism. 00:47:41.39\00:47:44.16 And she's in Vallejo, California. 00:47:44.23\00:47:47.20 And I'm somewhere way up north, 00:47:47.23\00:47:48.66 like in Redding, California with six weeks evangelism. 00:47:48.70\00:47:55.14 And love is wonderful, 00:47:55.17\00:47:57.51 but six weeks without your family is a long time. 00:47:57.54\00:48:00.61 But to have a motorhome would make a difference. 00:48:00.68\00:48:02.94 And so motorhome over a fifth wheel 00:48:02.98\00:48:06.72 or is it either or? 00:48:06.75\00:48:08.28 That could be either or. Yeah. 00:48:08.32\00:48:09.82 Usually the motorhomes are larger. 00:48:09.85\00:48:11.45 Yeah. Yeah. 00:48:11.49\00:48:12.82 But now they're making the fifth wheels 00:48:12.85\00:48:14.19 where they're accommodating for a family. 00:48:14.26\00:48:16.09 Yeah, so either way. 00:48:16.12\00:48:17.56 And so there might be some people 00:48:17.63\00:48:19.33 'cause we have had people, various intervals of time, 00:48:19.36\00:48:22.70 donate a motorhome to the ministry here at 3ABN 00:48:22.73\00:48:25.37 and it makes it available to somebody else in ministry. 00:48:25.40\00:48:28.37 And by the way, 00:48:28.40\00:48:29.90 if you've been a part of the 3ABN family, 00:48:29.94\00:48:32.31 you know that everything that happens here 00:48:32.34\00:48:33.98 at this ministry is all about a miracle. 00:48:34.01\00:48:36.28 And God is in the miracle... 00:48:36.31\00:48:39.05 What we call a miracle is what God does every day. 00:48:39.08\00:48:41.38 That's right. Amen. 00:48:41.42\00:48:42.98 Pastor Sharley, 00:48:43.02\00:48:45.19 before we transition to our news break, 00:48:45.22\00:48:48.02 anything else you want to share with us about your church 00:48:48.06\00:48:50.93 and about the needs that you might have 00:48:50.96\00:48:52.69 in the future for evangelism? 00:48:52.73\00:48:54.63 You know, we have a generous church, 00:48:54.66\00:48:57.67 and we have been blessed 00:48:57.70\00:49:00.44 by our local regional conference 00:49:00.47\00:49:03.14 that helps us fund evangelism. 00:49:03.17\00:49:06.54 And so we're thankful for that. 00:49:06.57\00:49:08.58 And we try to take 00:49:08.61\00:49:09.94 full advantage of the resources available. 00:49:09.98\00:49:12.08 So we try to have a public reaping effort, 00:49:12.11\00:49:16.15 a series of teachings of the Bible 00:49:16.18\00:49:19.22 and prophecy every year. 00:49:19.25\00:49:21.69 And usually, it's been every other year 00:49:21.72\00:49:24.06 that we have a professional evangelist come in. 00:49:24.13\00:49:26.29 And then the alternate years, the pastoral staff 00:49:26.33\00:49:30.87 and even lay members do the speaking. 00:49:30.90\00:49:34.14 Okay, so you go through a cycle? 00:49:34.17\00:49:38.41 A cycle, that's good too. 00:49:38.44\00:49:40.28 And that's a blessing. 00:49:40.31\00:49:41.64 And the churches that we know of 00:49:41.68\00:49:43.58 and the churches that are in not only our conference, 00:49:43.65\00:49:46.72 but around the world, 00:49:46.75\00:49:48.08 evangelism is the lifeblood of the church 00:49:48.12\00:49:50.39 to keep the church breathing. 00:49:50.42\00:49:51.75 That's true. 00:49:51.79\00:49:53.12 Without evangelism, the heart is slowing down. 00:49:53.15\00:49:55.06 Yeah. Now, you mentioned motorhome. 00:49:55.09\00:49:56.83 But I know that there are other needs 00:49:56.86\00:49:58.19 and we're not going to... 00:49:58.23\00:49:59.56 If there's something specific, you can mention that now, 00:49:59.59\00:50:02.26 but if there's not, I could just give the viewers 00:50:02.30\00:50:05.33 and listeners an address where they can... 00:50:05.37\00:50:06.87 Well, what we're trying to do is create training centers. 00:50:06.94\00:50:10.21 Okay. 00:50:10.24\00:50:11.57 We'll start here but around the world as well. 00:50:11.61\00:50:13.17 Yes. We want to provide... 00:50:13.21\00:50:16.34 You know, they say evangelism is a dying breed 00:50:16.38\00:50:18.25 where there's people are looking 00:50:18.28\00:50:19.61 for public evangelists to come into a series in their church. 00:50:19.65\00:50:22.18 We'd like to create a mentorship program 00:50:22.22\00:50:24.72 for local pastors 00:50:24.75\00:50:26.32 that are little intimidated by doing their own meetings 00:50:26.35\00:50:29.12 or maybe don't have the tools to get started 00:50:29.16\00:50:32.16 where we can train them to do their own meetings 00:50:32.19\00:50:34.60 and be successful at it as well. 00:50:34.63\00:50:36.06 Okay. Yeah. 00:50:36.10\00:50:37.47 So training center? Training centers, right. 00:50:37.50\00:50:38.93 Okay. Wonderful. 00:50:38.97\00:50:40.34 And with all that space out there in Montana? 00:50:40.37\00:50:44.31 Absolutely. Yeah. 00:50:44.34\00:50:45.87 There will be enough space to build the training center. 00:50:45.91\00:50:49.01 Well, we want to take it also to different conferences. 00:50:49.04\00:50:51.01 I know, I'm being lighthearted about that. 00:50:51.05\00:50:53.01 Of course, you could build 00:50:53.05\00:50:54.38 a 97, 000-square foot building out in Montana. 00:50:54.42\00:50:56.69 It's just a dot. But it's wonderful. 00:50:56.72\00:50:59.59 I had not been... 00:50:59.62\00:51:00.96 I'm very frank about it, I've driven past Montana. 00:51:00.99\00:51:04.76 I haven't had any reason to go out there. 00:51:04.79\00:51:06.46 Maybe I'll get a chance to visit there in the summer. 00:51:06.49\00:51:09.00 Yeah, we'd love to have you. 00:51:09.03\00:51:10.50 Because I'm sure they have their level of snow 00:51:10.57\00:51:12.30 during the winter time. 00:51:12.33\00:51:13.67 But thank you for, you know, evangelism. 00:51:13.74\00:51:15.64 We're going to take a news break 00:51:15.67\00:51:17.01 in just a moment here. 00:51:17.04\00:51:18.37 But I want to recap. 00:51:18.41\00:51:19.74 Pastor Morgan, you like to be called Jason, 00:51:19.77\00:51:22.14 and Pastor Sharley from the Yakima 00:51:22.18\00:51:24.48 Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:51:24.51\00:51:25.95 the senior pastor has been talking about evangelism. 00:51:25.98\00:51:29.25 As we take this news break, we're going to, 00:51:29.28\00:51:31.02 first before we go to the news break, 00:51:31.05\00:51:32.85 give you the address information 00:51:32.89\00:51:34.52 that you need to be supportive of Prophetic Facts, 00:51:34.56\00:51:37.63 Speaker and Director, 00:51:37.66\00:51:38.99 a brand new ministry with wonderful needs 00:51:39.03\00:51:41.06 and a vision for the future 00:51:41.10\00:51:43.06 and reaping souls for the kingdom 00:51:43.10\00:51:45.30 that we believe is soon to come. 00:51:45.33\00:51:46.74 Here is the address that you need. 00:51:46.77\00:51:49.64 If you would like to find out more 00:51:49.67\00:51:51.27 about the Prophetic Facts Ministry, 00:51:51.31\00:51:53.48 you may reach them in a variety of ways. 00:51:53.51\00:51:56.38 Visit their website propheticfacts.com. 00:51:56.41\00:51:59.75 To find their prophecy seminar schedule, 00:51:59.78\00:52:02.48 contact information and more. 00:52:02.52\00:52:05.19 That's propheticfacts.com. 00:52:05.22\00:52:08.29 You may also call them at 00:52:08.32\00:52:10.03 406-402-9030. 00:52:10.06\00:52:15.36 If you would like to write to them, 00:52:15.40\00:52:17.07 please address your letter to Prophetic Facts, 00:52:17.10\00:52:20.17 PO Box 10141, 00:52:20.24\00:52:24.11 Kalispell, Montana 59904. 00:52:24.14\00:52:28.24
