That was very nice. 00:07:53.77\00:07:55.10 They had pages. 00:07:55.14\00:07:56.47 I mean, he just kept turning the page 00:07:56.50\00:07:57.84 name after, name after, name of people 00:07:57.87\00:08:00.01 who would send a request, 00:08:00.08\00:08:01.41 and that's a heart for ministry. 00:08:01.44\00:08:02.84 Should we go to scripture and then some music. 00:08:02.88\00:08:04.25 Yes. 00:08:04.28\00:08:05.61 There is so much to talk about today. 00:08:05.65\00:08:06.98 Matthews 24:14, which is a perfect scripture 00:08:07.02\00:08:10.39 what we're talking about. 00:08:10.42\00:08:11.75 "This gospel of the kingdom 00:08:11.79\00:08:13.12 will be preached in all the world 00:08:13.15\00:08:14.86 as a witness to all nations and then the end will come." 00:08:14.89\00:08:18.73 So that's part of why we went to Australia 00:08:18.76\00:08:21.33 was to help preach the gospel there. 00:08:21.36\00:08:24.70 We had incredibly anointed speakers there 00:08:24.73\00:08:28.10 who just opened the Word of God with power 00:08:28.14\00:08:30.21 and the music as well. 00:08:30.24\00:08:32.01 And that's what 3ABN Australia does as well 00:08:32.04\00:08:34.44 is to preach the gospel to every nation, 00:08:34.48\00:08:37.58 tribe, tongue, and people. 00:08:37.65\00:08:38.98 So we have a song, 00:08:39.01\00:08:40.35 and this is a program Ryan and Tim 00:08:40.38\00:08:42.45 that you did some time ago 00:08:42.48\00:08:43.99 where we just pulled one song from the program. 00:08:44.02\00:08:46.42 So it might have a little different in and out, 00:08:46.45\00:08:48.32 but it's a fun song. 00:08:48.36\00:08:49.69 Yeah, it is. 00:08:49.72\00:08:51.06 And it's "We'll Understand It Better By and By." 00:08:51.09\00:08:52.43 By and by, when the morning comes 00:08:58.60\00:09:03.51 All the saints of God will gather home 00:09:03.54\00:09:07.81 We'll tell the story of how we've overcome 00:09:07.84\00:09:12.98 And we'll understand it better by and by 00:09:13.01\00:09:17.79 We are often tossed and driven on the restless seas of time 00:09:17.82\00:09:22.92 Somber skies and howling tempests 00:09:22.96\00:09:25.66 Oft succeed a bright sunshine 00:09:25.69\00:09:28.13 In that land of perfect day, when the mists is rolled away 00:09:28.16\00:09:33.44 And we'll understand it better by and by 00:09:33.47\00:09:39.04 By and by, when the morning comes 00:09:39.07\00:09:44.15 All the saints of God will gather home 00:09:44.18\00:09:48.48 We'll tell the story of how we've overcome 00:09:48.52\00:09:54.16 And we'll understand it better by and by 00:09:54.19\00:09:59.09 We are often destitute of the things that life demands 00:09:59.13\00:10:04.33 Want of food and want of shelter 00:10:04.37\00:10:07.14 Thirsty hills and barren lands 00:10:07.17\00:10:09.54 We are trusting in the Lord, and according to His Word 00:10:09.57\00:10:14.74 And we'll understand it better by and by 00:10:14.78\00:10:20.32 By and by, when the morning comes 00:10:20.35\00:10:25.32 All the saints of God will gather home 00:10:25.35\00:10:29.56 We'll tell the story of how we've overcome 00:10:29.59\00:10:35.13 And we'll understand it better by and by 00:10:35.16\00:10:37.00 Sing that chorus one more time. 00:10:37.07\00:10:40.84 By and by, when the morning comes 00:10:40.87\00:10:45.81 All the saints of God will gather home 00:10:45.84\00:10:50.08 We'll tell the story of how we've overcome 00:10:50.15\00:10:55.92 And we'll understand it better by and by 00:10:55.95\00:10:59.29 Say what, we gonna do what? 00:10:59.32\00:11:00.66 Say we're gonna understand it better by and by 00:11:00.69\00:11:03.86 I think I heard you but I had to hear it one more time. 00:11:03.93\00:11:05.36 Oh, yes 00:11:05.39\00:11:06.73 We'll understand it better by and by 00:11:06.80\00:11:10.90 Amen. Well, that was fun. 00:11:18.84\00:11:20.41 Thank you, Tim, Ryan. You guys are real blessing. 00:11:20.48\00:11:24.28 I know you're part of the music 00:11:24.31\00:11:25.65 that took place there in Australia, 00:11:25.68\00:11:27.32 you too Pastor, and Rosemary and others. 00:11:27.35\00:11:29.52 But it's a real blessing. Thank you though. 00:11:29.55\00:11:30.89 Amen. My privilege. 00:11:30.92\00:11:32.25 It's fun, isn't it, to minister music. 00:11:32.29\00:11:33.66 It is wonderful. What a blessing. 00:11:33.69\00:11:35.02 It's a part of worship, isn't it, Pastor? 00:11:35.06\00:11:36.39 Right. And they were having a good time there. 00:11:36.42\00:11:37.76 Not just communicating a message. 00:11:37.79\00:11:39.13 But very few times would Tim take the liberty of directing. 00:11:39.16\00:11:45.07 What did you say? Say that one more time. 00:11:45.10\00:11:46.63 I thought that was really cute. 00:11:46.67\00:11:48.00 Really, that's a subtle way 00:11:48.04\00:11:49.80 of telling him my arrangement that's on the spot. 00:11:49.84\00:11:52.27 Exactly. So I'm getting ready to do. 00:11:52.31\00:11:54.54 Yeah, exactly. This is your heads up. 00:11:54.58\00:11:56.34 The thing about Tim is that you never know 00:11:56.38\00:11:58.18 when he's about to spring a modulation on you 00:11:58.21\00:12:01.65 'cause he'll just mod something right in the middle of a song, 00:12:01.68\00:12:04.52 and so I just got to follow his lead, 00:12:04.55\00:12:06.42 'cause he'll just bring it on you, 00:12:06.45\00:12:07.79 and then you just got to go with it so. 00:12:07.82\00:12:09.16 I'm going by the Spirit. 00:12:09.19\00:12:10.53 So I've got to pass it from me to you. 00:12:10.56\00:12:14.23 Right, right. 00:12:14.30\00:12:15.63 Going to jump it over to Tasmania, but pastor, 00:12:15.66\00:12:17.17 I know that when you were getting ready 00:12:17.20\00:12:18.53 to do a song for the concert in Tasmania, 00:12:18.57\00:12:21.54 you would had him listen to a track, was it? 00:12:21.57\00:12:23.81 Had Tim listened to a track, and it had several 00:12:23.84\00:12:25.54 with three key changes or modulations? 00:12:25.57\00:12:26.98 Is that right, Tim? Oh, yeah, we did that. 00:12:27.01\00:12:28.34 That was a great arrangement. 00:12:28.38\00:12:29.71 And that was just neat 'cause that's the talent 00:12:29.74\00:12:31.08 God has given you, Tim. 00:12:31.11\00:12:32.45 I know He's given each one of us talents, 00:12:32.48\00:12:33.82 but that was just amazing to sit back there 00:12:33.85\00:12:35.18 by the audio booth and to watch that take place. 00:12:35.22\00:12:36.55 That's right. You just played it. 00:12:36.58\00:12:37.92 Tim said, I got it. Yeah. 00:12:37.95\00:12:39.29 And then you guys practiced once, maybe twice. 00:12:39.32\00:12:40.66 Just once. Yeah. Just went over it. 00:12:40.69\00:12:42.39 Let's try one more. That's incredible. 00:12:42.42\00:12:44.39 Thank you, Tim. 00:12:44.43\00:12:45.76 That is why when we're on the road, 00:12:45.79\00:12:47.13 it's rare that we would use a sound track, 00:12:47.20\00:12:48.53 why would you? 00:12:48.56\00:12:49.90 Exactly. That's right. 00:12:49.93\00:12:51.27 He's such a gifted minister of music. 00:12:51.30\00:12:52.63 And, you know, the musician is one thing, 00:12:52.67\00:12:54.00 but a minister of music. Yeah, there's a big difference. 00:12:54.04\00:12:55.57 That's the difference 00:12:55.60\00:12:56.94 because it's anointed by the Holy Spirit, 00:12:57.01\00:12:58.71 and that's the way I look at Tim's gift 00:12:58.74\00:13:00.58 as the minister of music. 00:13:00.61\00:13:02.04 And you also led the congregation and songs 00:13:02.08\00:13:04.48 which was fun too, Tim. 00:13:04.51\00:13:05.85 I love that. 00:13:05.88\00:13:07.22 Let me just say what an honor it was to be, 00:13:07.25\00:13:08.92 you know, knowing that you're countries apart, 00:13:08.95\00:13:14.42 but, you know, we sing the same songs, 00:13:14.46\00:13:16.52 we serve the same Savior, 00:13:16.56\00:13:17.89 and we love to worship Him through song. 00:13:17.93\00:13:20.40 And I could not believe the people who came up to me, 00:13:20.43\00:13:23.57 and were thanking me for the, 00:13:24.27\00:13:26.47 Your favorites By Request program 00:13:26.50\00:13:28.20 that you all have sent your requests in, 00:13:28.24\00:13:31.01 and thank you for doing that, keep sending those, 00:13:31.04\00:13:33.38 but it's, you know, you think when you're in the studio, 00:13:33.41\00:13:37.05 you're just singing to a camera, 00:13:37.08\00:13:38.45 and that's as far as it really gets. 00:13:38.48\00:13:40.72 And then to wind up in Australia one day 00:13:40.75\00:13:42.85 and people come up to you 00:13:42.88\00:13:44.22 saying thanks for those programs. 00:13:44.29\00:13:45.62 No glory to me at all, 00:13:45.65\00:13:47.06 but just that they are able to interact 00:13:47.09\00:13:49.29 and they enjoyed those songs. 00:13:49.32\00:13:51.06 So I love that God's people love to sing 00:13:51.09\00:13:53.26 all around the world. 00:13:53.29\00:13:54.63 That's right. Keep singing. 00:13:54.66\00:13:56.46 It's fun. It is. 00:13:56.50\00:13:57.83 So let's talk about Avondale Memorial Church. 00:13:57.87\00:14:00.34 That was where we had the 3ABN Australia Homecoming. 00:14:00.37\00:14:02.84 I know they wanted to have a camp meeting for years. 00:14:02.87\00:14:05.91 Here at 3ABN in the US, we have it twice a year, 00:14:05.94\00:14:08.14 but this was their very first one, 00:14:08.18\00:14:11.05 and they put a lot of effort into it. 00:14:11.08\00:14:12.95 Oh, yeah, for sure. 00:14:12.98\00:14:14.35 I'm trying to think, I think we have some pictures 00:14:14.38\00:14:16.08 and maybe we can just start talking about the speakers 00:14:16.12\00:14:17.99 and the different things that took place. 00:14:18.02\00:14:19.42 I think we will start with a picture. 00:14:19.45\00:14:21.22 Oh, this is Dr. Allan Lindsay. Dr. Allan Lindsay, yeah. 00:14:21.26\00:14:24.23 He is the voice of 3ABN, sorry, the voice of... 00:14:24.26\00:14:29.20 Keepers of the Flame. The pioneers... 00:14:29.23\00:14:30.57 Keepers of the Flame, thank you, 00:14:30.60\00:14:32.10 that when we met him for the first time... 00:14:32.13\00:14:34.14 Well, actually, more than, was it a while ago, 00:14:34.17\00:14:37.04 we met him, and I thought wow. 00:14:37.11\00:14:38.44 About, yeah, 10 years ago. 00:14:38.47\00:14:39.81 So as people look at us, we were looking at him. 00:14:39.84\00:14:42.78 Yeah. That's right. 00:14:42.81\00:14:44.15 He guided us to that Keepers of the Flame series 00:14:44.18\00:14:46.18 which so many of you have probably watched. 00:14:46.21\00:14:49.05 Yeah, on 3ABN for many years. 00:14:49.08\00:14:50.42 Blessed on 3ABN, and to meet him, 00:14:50.49\00:14:52.32 his humility, and his knowledge. 00:14:52.35\00:14:54.86 And he said, "Call me Allan." 00:14:54.89\00:14:56.26 I could not possibly call him Allan. 00:14:56.29\00:14:57.63 He said the same thing to me, and I said, "I can't do that." 00:14:57.66\00:14:58.99 No. I could never do that. 00:14:59.03\00:15:00.40 I said, me too. I said, "No, no. 00:15:00.43\00:15:02.50 you're Dr. Lindsay." Yes. 00:15:02.53\00:15:04.07 So you know what we should do 00:15:04.10\00:15:05.43 is actually go back just before the Homecoming 00:15:05.47\00:15:06.80 because we had a wonderful tour 00:15:06.84\00:15:08.30 of Sunnyside led by Dr. Lindsay. 00:15:08.34\00:15:11.34 That was phenomenal which Sunnyside, pastor, 00:15:11.37\00:15:12.94 I don't know if you wanted 00:15:12.97\00:15:14.31 to expound upon that a little bit 00:15:14.34\00:15:15.68 is a special place especially in Adventist history. 00:15:15.71\00:15:17.08 Yeah, Ellen White, when she went to Australia 00:15:17.15\00:15:18.85 that's where she stayed in Sunnyside. 00:15:18.88\00:15:21.05 And, you know, when we look at the evolution of the church, 00:15:21.08\00:15:26.29 the Lord had to work 00:15:26.32\00:15:28.12 for His servant to do in Australia, 00:15:28.16\00:15:31.43 and she went there in humility, and one thing 00:15:31.46\00:15:34.10 we learned about Australia is a place of diversity, 00:15:34.13\00:15:36.20 even when it comes to different views, 00:15:36.23\00:15:39.70 doctrinally. 00:15:39.73\00:15:41.07 And the blessing of going there at Sunnyside 00:15:41.10\00:15:43.61 and allowing the Lord to use Ellen White 00:15:43.64\00:15:45.21 in the way He had left an indelible impression, 00:15:45.24\00:15:47.68 and Avondale is a testimony to this very day, 00:15:47.71\00:15:50.98 of the work that was done there. 00:15:51.01\00:15:53.95 But to walk through there, and see how God... 00:15:54.02\00:15:57.29 Like Elms Haven, remember? 00:15:57.32\00:15:59.05 Yeah, right, and she also wrote part of the Desire of Ages. 00:15:59.09\00:16:03.53 There in Sunnyside. Sunnyside, yes. 00:16:03.56\00:16:06.70 It's an amazing experience 00:16:06.73\00:16:08.06 and to have the tour led by Dr. Lindsay 00:16:08.10\00:16:10.60 who knows that like the back of his hand 00:16:10.67\00:16:12.47 is just unbelievable. 00:16:12.50\00:16:13.84 The stories. 00:16:13.87\00:16:15.20 Stories of the land there, wasn't supposed to grow trees, 00:16:15.24\00:16:16.71 remember that? 00:16:16.74\00:16:18.07 Story of the fruit trees, and how you're supposed to plant 00:16:18.11\00:16:20.98 and how they grew beautiful fruit there. 00:16:21.01\00:16:23.95 That was an incredible experience. 00:16:23.98\00:16:25.31 So that was a great way to start our trip 00:16:25.35\00:16:26.72 because we landed and that's where we went. 00:16:26.75\00:16:28.45 The same day we went there. 00:16:28.48\00:16:29.82 Yes. Yeah, talk about jet lag. 00:16:29.85\00:16:31.75 Just a point of note. 00:16:31.79\00:16:33.12 You know, when we say Desire of Ages, 00:16:33.15\00:16:34.49 somebody might be watching 00:16:34.52\00:16:35.86 that don't even know what that is. 00:16:35.89\00:16:37.43 It's a book that the Lord inspired Ellen White to write, 00:16:37.46\00:16:39.83 and it's chronicled today in the Library of Congress 00:16:39.86\00:16:43.37 as the best book ever written about the life of Christ 00:16:43.40\00:16:46.23 outside of the Bible, 00:16:46.27\00:16:47.87 and so many denominational leaders 00:16:47.90\00:16:49.30 have read that book to get the insights. 00:16:49.34\00:16:51.04 That is just so beautiful 00:16:51.07\00:16:52.71 about how Christ used this humble servant to uplift Him 00:16:52.74\00:16:56.54 and to lead people to know Him as their personal Savior. 00:16:56.58\00:16:59.15 By no means a replacement of the Bible, 00:16:59.18\00:17:01.25 but part of that book was written 00:17:01.28\00:17:02.62 when she was there in Sunnyside. 00:17:02.65\00:17:05.82 And when he talked about the letters being sent 00:17:05.85\00:17:08.06 because nowadays we sent an email, 00:17:08.09\00:17:10.83 we shoot an email, and it's like, got it. 00:17:10.86\00:17:14.80 When they wrote letters out there, 00:17:14.83\00:17:16.30 it took months to get to America, 00:17:16.33\00:17:19.30 and it was amazing to see that what was happening there 00:17:19.33\00:17:21.70 was being led of the Lord, and what was happening here. 00:17:21.74\00:17:24.21 And so when you go back and you see, it's like wow. 00:17:24.24\00:17:27.48 You know in here, I have to say 00:17:27.51\00:17:28.84 I kind of complained a little bit 00:17:28.88\00:17:30.21 about a 15-hour plane ride, and here it took her, 00:17:30.25\00:17:33.28 I think 30 days by boat out of San Francisco 00:17:33.31\00:17:36.05 or somewhere to get over to Sydney. 00:17:36.08\00:17:38.32 Yeah, so I had nothing to complain about. 00:17:38.35\00:17:39.69 No. 00:17:39.72\00:17:41.06 Not, it shouldn't be there, not a... 00:17:41.09\00:17:42.42 Yeah. Right. 00:17:42.46\00:17:43.83 And his wife, Mrs. Lindsay. Yes. 00:17:46.19\00:17:48.63 Oh, what a precious lady? 00:17:48.66\00:17:50.00 She is beautiful, such a precious woman. 00:17:50.07\00:17:52.90 And she made a soup, wasn't that soup good? 00:17:52.93\00:17:55.30 Just fed us and... 00:17:55.34\00:17:56.71 A lot of pumpkin soup, and I'm not sure, 00:17:56.74\00:17:58.51 I'm still not sure if it was squash pumpkin 00:17:58.54\00:18:00.18 or pumpkin squash. 00:18:00.21\00:18:01.54 I think it's a squash. Yeah. 00:18:01.58\00:18:02.91 I don't know. It was good. 00:18:02.94\00:18:04.28 It was good. It was gone. 00:18:04.31\00:18:05.65 Oh, yeah. We ate it all. 00:18:05.68\00:18:08.12 Did we eat in Australia? What? 00:18:08.15\00:18:10.19 Oh, no. All walk. Eat and walk. 00:18:10.22\00:18:11.55 We ate very well. 00:18:11.59\00:18:13.25 So we went from that wonderful tour 00:18:13.29\00:18:14.62 and then we got ready for the Homecoming. 00:18:14.66\00:18:16.93 Yes. We had incredible turn out. 00:18:16.96\00:18:18.29 Now this is inside the church. 00:18:18.33\00:18:20.80 This looks like Sabbath morning probably. 00:18:20.83\00:18:23.16 This is the control room that 3ABN Australia use. 00:18:23.20\00:18:26.94 They took equipment from their studios 00:18:26.97\00:18:29.17 and moved them to a side room of the church 00:18:29.20\00:18:31.71 and did basically a remote shoot 00:18:31.74\00:18:33.38 like we bring our truck in, 00:18:33.41\00:18:34.74 and did the production there, and recorded. 00:18:34.78\00:18:36.85 It wasn't live, but they recorded the programs there. 00:18:36.88\00:18:38.78 But they screened it 00:18:38.81\00:18:40.15 because all the people there in Avondale watched it. 00:18:40.22\00:18:42.15 Yeah, very true. That's a good point. 00:18:42.18\00:18:43.89 Oh, and that's Teresa Fong and her sister Marletta. 00:18:43.92\00:18:48.02 Teresa did a wonderful job. Oh. 00:18:48.06\00:18:49.92 When she spoke, wasn't that a blessing? 00:18:49.96\00:18:51.49 Yeah. Yeah. For sure. 00:18:51.53\00:18:54.03 Met a lot of wonderful, wonderful people there. 00:18:54.10\00:18:56.87 John Malkiewicz speaking. And each of... 00:18:56.90\00:19:00.47 The whole thing was knowing God, 00:19:00.54\00:19:02.30 and then through Bible study, through prayer, 00:19:02.34\00:19:04.67 through conflict, and there's, not the Gaither Trio. 00:19:04.71\00:19:08.08 Dynamic trio. Oh. 00:19:08.11\00:19:11.51 Men in black. Yeah. They did a great job. 00:19:11.55\00:19:14.35 You all did some of the songs from Give Him Glory project. 00:19:14.38\00:19:16.89 Give Him Glory project. And the Calvary project. 00:19:16.92\00:19:20.36 Several numbers. That's true. 00:19:20.39\00:19:21.72 Those were the audio technicians. 00:19:21.76\00:19:23.09 They did a wonderful job. 00:19:23.12\00:19:24.53 Yes, they're from the Avondale Church. 00:19:24.56\00:19:27.30 That's us bringing the luggage. 00:19:27.33\00:19:29.00 Right, into John and Rosemary's house. 00:19:29.03\00:19:30.60 That was the train, the luggage train. 00:19:30.67\00:19:32.10 Oh, yeah. 00:19:32.13\00:19:33.47 I'm down the steps all way up the steps. 00:19:33.54\00:19:35.30 Again, it was very nice of them to open up their house. 00:19:35.34\00:19:38.07 They have the perfect home 00:19:38.11\00:19:39.57 for accommodating and hospitality. 00:19:39.61\00:19:42.21 Everybody had kind of their own little world. 00:19:42.24\00:19:43.58 Oh, kangaroo. We got to touch them in person. 00:19:43.65\00:19:47.35 We all did. 00:19:47.42\00:19:48.75 And those are technically wild kangaroos. 00:19:48.78\00:19:50.32 That's not in the zoo. Yeah, that's right. 00:19:50.39\00:19:51.82 That's actually at some grounds there 00:19:51.85\00:19:53.39 where a lot of kangaroos come to. 00:19:53.46\00:19:54.89 Good hair day. 00:19:54.92\00:19:57.03 Oh, Jill. The wind was blowing. Oh, Jill too. 00:19:57.06\00:19:59.73 Oh, I thought you were talking about the kangaroos. 00:19:59.76\00:20:01.10 This I think is really nice 00:20:01.13\00:20:02.46 because this is actually the signage for the memorial, 00:20:02.50\00:20:05.07 Avondale Memorial Church, you can see Avondale College 00:20:05.10\00:20:07.24 because you continue up that road 00:20:07.27\00:20:08.64 past the sign is the college. 00:20:08.67\00:20:10.21 But then you see that blue sign? 00:20:10.24\00:20:12.31 That sign, it actually says, well, I think, 00:20:12.34\00:20:14.18 "Welcome to the 3ABN Australia Homecoming." 00:20:14.21\00:20:17.35 They set there on their church marquee, it said, 00:20:17.38\00:20:19.38 "Pastor Lomacang on Sabbath." Very nice. 00:20:19.41\00:20:22.45 A lot of support from the local church. 00:20:22.48\00:20:23.89 It was indeed. 00:20:23.92\00:20:25.25 A lot of history in that church. 00:20:25.29\00:20:26.62 This is Pastor Abal. Of the church. 00:20:26.65\00:20:28.52 He's a pastor at the Avondale Memorial. 00:20:28.56\00:20:29.89 He did a great job. Didn't he? 00:20:29.92\00:20:31.26 Oh, I was blessed. Yeah, he and his family. 00:20:31.29\00:20:32.63 Answering some of those tough questions 00:20:32.66\00:20:34.00 in the Old Testament. 00:20:34.03\00:20:35.36 And that are some of the things you ask about, right? 00:20:35.40\00:20:36.77 Yes. This is them. 00:20:36.80\00:20:38.13 Yeah, he and his wife. And his wife. 00:20:38.17\00:20:39.50 Oh, yeah. And they have a couple of kids. 00:20:39.53\00:20:40.87 They do. Precious little girls. He was... 00:20:40.94\00:20:43.81 Wasn't he a graduate of the school there? 00:20:43.84\00:20:45.17 He was of Avondale. Absolutely. 00:20:45.21\00:20:48.11 Pastor John, the Lord used you. Oh, yeah, mightily. 00:20:48.14\00:20:51.98 You sang and spoke. It was real blessing. 00:20:52.01\00:20:53.85 Yeah, it was a Praise the Lord day. 00:20:53.92\00:20:56.89 Is that Ryan I'm trying to see? Here's Ryan. 00:20:56.92\00:20:58.49 That's Ryan. Yes. 00:20:58.52\00:20:59.92 Did a wonderful job. The Lord used you too. 00:20:59.95\00:21:01.99 The anointing of God was on both of you. 00:21:02.02\00:21:03.36 It was a special time. 00:21:03.43\00:21:04.86 There is John and Rosemary who again kept very busy 00:21:04.89\00:21:07.93 trying to organize the event. 00:21:07.96\00:21:09.66 Pastor Geoff Youlden. Oh, yeah. 00:21:09.70\00:21:12.20 That brother preaches like a boss at the union retreat. 00:21:12.23\00:21:14.47 Union evangelist. Evangelist to the Union. 00:21:14.50\00:21:16.34 He is a very good speaker. 00:21:16.37\00:21:17.71 Oh, yes. That's for sure. 00:21:17.74\00:21:20.38 There's Teresa. Teresa. 00:21:20.41\00:21:21.98 Yeah, she did a wonderful job. Yes, she has. 00:21:22.01\00:21:23.65 That sermon title's subtitle was "We're getting married." 00:21:23.68\00:21:26.92 That was really good, we wish for that. 00:21:26.95\00:21:28.42 That was great. That was our very own Jill. 00:21:28.45\00:21:30.79 Oh, that's right. Jill did fabulous. 00:21:30.82\00:21:32.85 And you did the Sabbath School panel as well. 00:21:32.89\00:21:34.26 Yeah, she did. 00:21:34.29\00:21:35.62 Angie, you're telling the children story. 00:21:35.66\00:21:36.99 Oh, yeah, that was fun. That was a great story. 00:21:37.03\00:21:38.96 You know, Angie stepped up to the plate this time. 00:21:38.99\00:21:40.90 Oh, yes. There's a whole crew of us. 00:21:40.93\00:21:43.26 Oh, yeah. And you did a lot of hosting. 00:21:51.51\00:21:54.51 I liked what they did 00:21:54.54\00:21:55.88 because they kind of broke it up and said, 00:21:55.91\00:21:57.78 "Okay, you're going to host here, 00:21:57.81\00:21:59.15 you're hosting here, and different people." 00:21:59.18\00:22:00.52 That's true. Greg and I hosted. 00:22:00.55\00:22:02.52 Yeah, exactly. That was fun. 00:22:02.55\00:22:04.45 They pulled you out of the shadows. 00:22:04.49\00:22:05.92 Comfort. 00:22:05.95\00:22:07.29 'Cause usually, I'm always doing it with Jill. 00:22:07.36\00:22:08.69 Right. 00:22:08.72\00:22:10.06 But there's nothing wrong with that 00:22:10.09\00:22:11.43 because you're my wife sweetie. 00:22:11.46\00:22:12.79 Thank you. 00:22:12.83\00:22:14.16 But still, kind of broke out of the rut and that was neat. 00:22:14.20\00:22:15.53 I know. That was different. It was nice. 00:22:15.56\00:22:16.90 You know, one of things that really touched me, 00:22:16.93\00:22:18.27 and I know all of you met people that came, 00:22:18.30\00:22:19.70 some people drove, I met some gentleman 00:22:19.73\00:22:22.14 that drove 18 hours from somewhere in Australia 00:22:22.17\00:22:25.01 'cause Australia is a huge country. 00:22:25.04\00:22:27.11 And they drove 18 hours to come. 00:22:27.18\00:22:29.14 Met number of people that drove 10 hours to come 00:22:29.18\00:22:32.51 for the weekend. 00:22:32.55\00:22:34.22 And boy, some people flew... 00:22:34.25\00:22:35.58 People flew in from Perth 00:22:35.62\00:22:36.95 which is several thousand miles away. 00:22:36.99\00:22:38.32 Yeah, Perth is actually, 00:22:38.35\00:22:39.69 from there, east to west is farther 00:22:39.72\00:22:41.19 than from the east to west of our coast. 00:22:41.22\00:22:43.53 Oh, really? It's almost like 4,000 miles. 00:22:43.56\00:22:46.03 And so it's a wide country. 00:22:46.06\00:22:49.20 Why do you think they came so far? 00:22:49.23\00:22:51.80 It wasn't just to see people from America, 00:22:51.83\00:22:54.50 I know that for a fact. 00:22:54.54\00:22:57.01 The reason in my mind is 00:22:57.04\00:22:58.51 because they've been blessed by the ministry of 3ABN, 00:22:58.54\00:23:01.48 and for them, 00:23:01.51\00:23:02.84 many of them are in isolated churches, 00:23:02.88\00:23:04.48 where I talked to several gentlemen, 00:23:04.51\00:23:06.25 they only come from a church of seven people. 00:23:06.28\00:23:08.75 Oh. That's it. 00:23:08.78\00:23:10.12 And they said, for them to find a bigger church 00:23:10.19\00:23:11.52 is many, many kilometers, if not miles, 00:23:11.55\00:23:13.86 or both I guess, miles, kilometers, 00:23:13.89\00:23:15.56 however you want to convert that. 00:23:15.59\00:23:17.13 But for them to come to an event like this 00:23:17.16\00:23:18.59 is fellowship. 00:23:18.63\00:23:20.00 And for them, they said, 00:23:20.03\00:23:21.36 there was just a spiritual high for them, 00:23:21.40\00:23:23.06 and I believe that's why many of them came 00:23:23.10\00:23:25.67 was to actually receive that spiritual fellowship, 00:23:25.70\00:23:28.04 and many of them had tears in their eyes 00:23:28.07\00:23:29.40 from the music, from the speaking. 00:23:29.44\00:23:31.41 They said they felt so encouraged and inspired 00:23:31.44\00:23:34.08 to continue to press on 00:23:34.11\00:23:35.44 because many times in our own walks 00:23:35.48\00:23:37.15 even with us being surrounded as we are 00:23:37.18\00:23:39.08 with many Christians Seventh-day Adventists, 00:23:39.11\00:23:41.18 it can get a little discouraging sometimes. 00:23:41.22\00:23:43.05 And in their walk, 00:23:43.08\00:23:44.42 they obviously are getting discouraged too. 00:23:44.45\00:23:45.79 But to get together as a group in fellowship, 00:23:45.82\00:23:48.06 yeah, what a blessing. 00:23:48.09\00:23:49.42 You know, it's always interesting 00:23:49.46\00:23:50.83 whenever you can go to... 00:23:50.86\00:23:52.19 When you have a place where there are several options 00:23:52.23\00:23:53.56 to go to restaurants, 00:23:53.60\00:23:55.33 you know, you kind of get tired, 00:23:55.36\00:23:56.70 and you begin to complain, 00:23:56.77\00:23:58.10 "Oh, let's go back there to this restaurant, 00:23:58.13\00:23:59.87 or let's go to that all-you-can-eat buffet." 00:23:59.90\00:24:01.57 And, you know, you just do it. Which one you want today? 00:24:01.60\00:24:02.94 So laissez, right, which one today. 00:24:02.97\00:24:05.41 And so it's interesting to go to places 00:24:05.44\00:24:08.28 that don't have such a variety, first of all, 00:24:08.31\00:24:11.15 and they are hungry for fellowship, 00:24:11.18\00:24:13.62 for the Word, and to be around just the people of God. 00:24:13.65\00:24:17.12 And so it's a good reminder for us 00:24:17.19\00:24:20.36 not to get too comfortable and not to become too familiar 00:24:20.39\00:24:24.76 and just appreciate what we have right here, 00:24:24.79\00:24:27.90 especially here at 3ABN working here. 00:24:27.93\00:24:30.77 I always said, I wanted to work in a Christian bookstore 00:24:30.80\00:24:32.87 or something like that where I could be around people, 00:24:32.90\00:24:35.14 you know, that were, you know, we were all of the same mind, 00:24:35.17\00:24:38.07 and I got my wish working here at 3ABN. 00:24:38.11\00:24:41.21 But it makes it, you know, again, 00:24:41.24\00:24:42.88 makes you realize that when you go other places 00:24:42.91\00:24:45.21 that don't have that constant surrounding 00:24:45.25\00:24:47.78 of people who love the Lord. 00:24:47.82\00:24:49.15 That's right. So it makes me appreciate it. 00:24:49.18\00:24:51.32 As well as the ingenuity of the people, 00:24:51.35\00:24:55.29 the workers at 3ABN Australia, 00:24:55.32\00:24:58.39 their ingenuity of the machinery 00:24:58.43\00:25:00.50 that they've created 00:25:00.53\00:25:01.86 and the little ideas, techniques 00:25:01.90\00:25:03.57 that they have implemented 00:25:03.60\00:25:05.03 based on not having a budget 00:25:05.07\00:25:07.74 that we are blessed with maybe here. 00:25:07.77\00:25:10.41 So again, it's just a wonderful thing 00:25:10.44\00:25:12.74 to go overseas and be part of something 00:25:12.77\00:25:15.74 where people are using their minds in a great way. 00:25:15.78\00:25:18.15 Yeah, it's inspiring for us. 00:25:18.18\00:25:21.05 Ryan, the theme, great theme, wasn't it, for the Homecoming? 00:25:21.08\00:25:23.69 Oh, man, absolutely. 00:25:23.72\00:25:25.05 In fact, I'm sure there are some legalities 00:25:25.09\00:25:28.12 or what not that goes into, 00:25:28.16\00:25:30.93 you know, cross-using material from ministry to ministry. 00:25:30.96\00:25:34.86 But, you know, the theme was knowing God. 00:25:34.90\00:25:38.37 And so there were many different sermons 00:25:38.40\00:25:41.04 that myself and Pastor John and others including Jill 00:25:41.07\00:25:45.77 presented while we were there on knowing God, 00:25:45.81\00:25:48.34 knowing God as a friend, as our closest friend, 00:25:48.38\00:25:50.58 knowing God through the trials, 00:25:50.65\00:25:52.25 knowing God through the Old Testament, 00:25:52.28\00:25:53.75 knowing God through the parables, 00:25:53.82\00:25:55.18 knowing God through the truth. And it was just... 00:25:55.22\00:25:57.65 It was powerful to be able to revisit the scripture 00:25:57.69\00:26:02.09 on all of those incredible passages 00:26:02.12\00:26:05.03 that helped us to come to know God and His character, 00:26:05.06\00:26:08.06 and so it was almost a revival for me 00:26:08.10\00:26:11.97 being there to hear all of the powerful messages. 00:26:12.00\00:26:14.47 And so I don't know if we could even make it happen 00:26:14.50\00:26:17.77 to get it on 3ABN here, 00:26:17.81\00:26:19.67 but it was definitely something that blessed my heart, 00:26:19.71\00:26:22.61 and I know it blessed others, absolutely. 00:26:22.64\00:26:24.58 I was so proud of my 3ABN family. 00:26:24.61\00:26:26.72 You all did an incredible job. The Lord blessed, didn't He? 00:26:26.75\00:26:31.32 Absolutely. Yeah. 00:26:31.35\00:26:32.72 I was so proud of you. 00:26:32.75\00:26:34.09 It's like, there's my family, look at Jill, 00:26:34.16\00:26:36.29 you did one on trials, what I was touched. 00:26:36.32\00:26:39.66 And you had so many people come up to you afterwards 00:26:39.69\00:26:42.70 that were going through immense trials, right? 00:26:42.73\00:26:46.17 That was what was... 00:26:46.20\00:26:48.64 You know, when you share, 00:26:48.67\00:26:50.54 then you don't know how it ministers 00:26:50.61\00:26:52.21 or how it touches, or how it, whatever you know? 00:26:52.24\00:26:55.01 At the end in Tasmania, I made that appeal. 00:26:55.04\00:26:57.18 I'd asked him, "Will you do 00:26:57.25\00:26:58.58 I Surrender All if there's time?" 00:26:58.61\00:27:00.62 And the Lord really worked through that I believe. 00:27:00.65\00:27:03.15 You know, the music softens the heart, you know, 00:27:03.18\00:27:06.52 the Holy Spirit because we all have things, 00:27:06.55\00:27:08.56 we all go through stuff, but we all have things 00:27:08.59\00:27:11.76 that God is calling us to surrender. 00:27:11.79\00:27:13.80 You know, I know in my own life, 00:27:13.83\00:27:15.76 God is calling that. 00:27:15.80\00:27:17.47 And the people who came up after, 00:27:17.50\00:27:19.43 hopefully I can say this without crying. 00:27:19.47\00:27:21.00 But, you know, one lady, her husband is dying, 00:27:21.04\00:27:24.71 he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. 00:27:24.74\00:27:27.11 And he was there. He was there. 00:27:27.18\00:27:29.54 And he had just gotten out of the hospital, and he came, 00:27:29.58\00:27:32.75 and she said, "I've always wondered why, 00:27:32.78\00:27:35.75 and now, I'm okay, 00:27:35.78\00:27:38.42 and he can go to sleep, I'm okay." 00:27:38.45\00:27:40.26 And then you know, another lady said, 00:27:40.29\00:27:42.16 "I've had 12 miscarriages." 00:27:42.19\00:27:43.73 Twelve? And I've encountered this pain. 00:27:43.76\00:27:46.93 You know, everyone deals with a measure of something. 00:27:47.00\00:27:49.43 Yes. 00:27:49.46\00:27:50.80 And it's all different, but God wants to give us victory. 00:27:50.87\00:27:54.14 He wants to transform our lives in the middle of that. 00:27:54.17\00:27:57.34 Right. Absolutely. Yeah. 00:27:57.41\00:28:00.08 Yeah, it was a tremendous blessing. 00:28:00.11\00:28:01.44 Do you have anything on that, Pastor, 00:28:01.48\00:28:02.81 for as this messages 00:28:02.84\00:28:04.18 and the whole program was powerful? 00:28:04.21\00:28:05.55 You know, when you put together something of that scale. 00:28:05.58\00:28:08.08 Oh, that was the first for 3ABN Australia. 00:28:08.12\00:28:10.82 And they were inspired by our Homecomings, 00:28:10.89\00:28:12.99 and our spring camp meetings. 00:28:13.02\00:28:14.82 And so when we went back, 00:28:14.86\00:28:16.19 and we'd really looked at the crew, 00:28:16.22\00:28:18.79 the size of their crew compared to the size of ours. 00:28:18.83\00:28:21.16 Yes. Oh, wow. 00:28:21.20\00:28:22.80 They literally worked off of a shoestring crew 00:28:22.83\00:28:26.84 to accomplish what we did with a large crew. 00:28:26.87\00:28:28.54 That's a good point. 00:28:28.57\00:28:29.90 And I thought the work of getting the messages lined up, 00:28:29.94\00:28:32.54 the hosting lined up. 00:28:32.57\00:28:34.01 And then their son, James... Oh, yeah. 00:28:34.08\00:28:36.21 James is genius. He's talented. 00:28:36.24\00:28:38.25 The program James helped Rosemary... 00:28:38.28\00:28:40.85 John and Rosemary's son, the program 00:28:40.92\00:28:43.49 he even wrote a program for their teleprompter. 00:28:43.52\00:28:45.95 I mean, he designed this thing, he coded this. 00:28:45.99\00:28:47.82 Yeah, that was impressive. 00:28:47.86\00:28:49.19 And it's not even released yet, and I thought, I said, 00:28:49.22\00:28:50.73 "I loved that teleprompter program. 00:28:50.76\00:28:52.49 How can I get it? 00:28:52.53\00:28:53.90 He said, "Well, it's mine. I own it. 00:28:53.93\00:28:55.26 I mean, it's a beta tested, and it worked every night." 00:28:55.30\00:28:58.43 And one of the ways that the Lord blessed, 00:28:58.47\00:29:00.04 it was kind of, you know, sometimes, 00:29:00.07\00:29:01.87 speaking about through trials, 00:29:01.90\00:29:03.24 one of the trials going to Tasmania. 00:29:03.27\00:29:05.34 When we get to the airport, 00:29:05.37\00:29:06.71 Rosemary realizes she left her computer, 00:29:06.78\00:29:09.54 the run sheets, 00:29:09.58\00:29:10.95 everything she needed for the program. 00:29:10.98\00:29:12.31 Passports. 00:29:12.35\00:29:13.68 All that she needed, 00:29:13.72\00:29:15.35 and then it was actually God blocking her 00:29:15.38\00:29:19.29 because James needed to be there. 00:29:19.32\00:29:21.92 And we made the suggestion, "We'll have James bring it in." 00:29:21.96\00:29:25.36 It turned out to be a buzzing 00:29:25.39\00:29:27.10 far greater than we could ever imagine. 00:29:27.13\00:29:28.60 Because we needed James in Tasmania 00:29:28.63\00:29:30.10 to help us with the technical side of things. 00:29:30.17\00:29:31.77 That's true. James... 00:29:31.80\00:29:33.13 Angie and James sat in the back. 00:29:33.17\00:29:34.50 Angie is running audio for the concert, 00:29:34.54\00:29:36.17 James doing all the video and the teleprompter. 00:29:36.20\00:29:39.14 And together, I thought to myself, 00:29:39.17\00:29:41.54 I was so proud of my wife, and I just got to say this. 00:29:41.58\00:29:42.91 Yeah, she did a great job. 00:29:42.94\00:29:44.28 Because normally if I suggested that, 00:29:44.31\00:29:46.18 normally Angie would say no. 00:29:46.21\00:29:47.98 "No. This is production. I'm not going to do that. 00:29:48.02\00:29:49.55 I've never mixed for three people before." 00:29:49.58\00:29:51.95 But she said... 00:29:51.99\00:29:53.79 Because I was sitting in the back, I said, 00:29:53.86\00:29:55.42 "Who am I comfortable with running the sound?" 00:29:55.46\00:29:57.93 And I said to myself, 00:29:57.96\00:29:59.29 "Well, I know Angie does my solo concerts." 00:29:59.33\00:30:01.33 And just then, she walked through the door, 00:30:01.36\00:30:02.90 and I pitched the idea. 00:30:02.93\00:30:04.27 She said, "Sure, I'll be glad to do it." 00:30:04.30\00:30:05.63 And I thought... I know, has never done. 00:30:05.67\00:30:07.24 She's ever done before. No. 00:30:07.27\00:30:08.77 I would have said, "No, I can't do that." 00:30:08.80\00:30:11.11 You did a great job. 00:30:11.14\00:30:12.47 And as soon as I came up from downstairs, he says, 00:30:12.51\00:30:15.14 "Can you run the sound for the concert?" 00:30:15.18\00:30:16.75 "Sure, I could do it." What? 00:30:16.78\00:30:19.28 I don't say that. You gonna say something, Angie? 00:38:50.26\00:38:52.93 Yes. 00:38:52.96\00:38:54.30 John and Rosemary took us to their neighbor's house, 00:38:54.33\00:38:56.77 the lady that was bedridden. 00:38:56.80\00:38:58.13 Let's talk about her, thank you. 00:38:58.17\00:38:59.57 Wasn't that... She was a dedicated lady. 00:38:59.60\00:39:03.41 Eleanor? Eleanor. 00:39:03.44\00:39:05.51 Not, yeah, go ahead. 00:39:05.54\00:39:06.88 She's about 90? I don't know. 00:39:06.91\00:39:09.21 I think she said that. Yeah, no, you're right. 00:39:09.24\00:39:10.78 It is, yeah, she's about 90. 00:39:10.85\00:39:12.18 We had prayer with her, and she was so cheerful. 00:39:12.21\00:39:15.28 She had such a good spirit about her, 00:39:15.32\00:39:17.99 and we all went around and prayed with her. 00:39:18.02\00:39:22.02 We sang. And we just had... 00:39:22.06\00:39:23.43 we sang, that's right, we sang. 00:39:23.46\00:39:25.43 And I just felt so uplifted after I left there. 00:39:25.46\00:39:29.20 I just felt so encouraged by her, 00:39:29.23\00:39:31.77 and she knew all of us when we walked in. 00:39:31.80\00:39:34.17 She named every one of us. She did. 00:39:34.24\00:39:37.04 She said, "And you are the new guy, Ryan." 00:39:37.11\00:39:41.38 That's true. That's true. She did. 00:39:41.41\00:39:43.55 Precious lady. Again... 00:39:43.58\00:39:44.91 For someone that had been bedridden. 00:39:44.95\00:39:46.28 I think she got polio when she was, what, 24? 00:39:46.31\00:39:47.78 Yes, she was working as a missionary 00:39:47.82\00:39:50.69 helping lepers, right, or something, 00:39:50.72\00:39:52.25 and then she contracted polio, and couldn't walk, 00:39:52.29\00:39:55.69 and then yet the Lord used her for so many years. 00:39:55.72\00:39:57.96 And even after she got polio, she was teaching nurses, 00:39:57.99\00:40:01.23 private, she got to work. 00:40:01.26\00:40:02.90 She said, "I got that back and forth all my own. 00:40:02.93\00:40:04.93 Don't feel sorry for me. I'm just fine." 00:40:04.97\00:40:07.24 And we think about the little things 00:40:07.27\00:40:08.60 we complain about, like hurt finger, or your legs, 00:40:08.64\00:40:11.77 and here you see somebody bedridden most of her life, 00:40:11.81\00:40:15.71 still serving the Lord, and could be so cheerful. 00:40:15.74\00:40:18.51 And I think that that's only possible 00:40:18.55\00:40:20.25 because you're looking at life not in here now alone 00:40:20.32\00:40:24.65 but you're looking to the there and then 00:40:24.69\00:40:27.29 when there will be no more hurt, no more disaster, 00:40:27.36\00:40:29.39 no more pain, no more crying, no more disabilities. 00:40:29.42\00:40:32.76 And what a cheerful spirit? 00:40:32.79\00:40:34.13 That said to us, 00:40:34.20\00:40:35.53 "Man, you don't really have much too." 00:40:35.56\00:40:36.90 And we get, you know, 00:40:36.93\00:40:38.27 we get upset when it rains on us. 00:40:38.30\00:40:40.14 And this whole lady spent her life in that disability. 00:40:40.17\00:40:43.07 I'm sure she's watching. 00:40:43.10\00:40:45.21 We praise the Lord for all that she's done 00:40:45.24\00:40:46.78 and continues to do. 00:40:46.81\00:40:48.14 And so, and then we walked around at that long excursion, 00:40:48.18\00:40:51.28 our first long walk. 00:40:51.31\00:40:53.72 They called it the nature walk, and it's next to Dora Creek 00:40:53.75\00:40:56.79 which is close to Sunnyside that goes past... 00:40:56.82\00:40:59.52 Avondale. 00:40:59.55\00:41:00.89 And Ellen White actually used to walk that stretches 00:41:00.96\00:41:02.32 along that same creek. 00:41:02.36\00:41:03.73 I don't remember that. Yeah. 00:41:03.76\00:41:05.09 Dora Creek is in her way. 00:41:05.13\00:41:06.46 Yeah, that's why they kept wanting us to walk it 00:41:06.49\00:41:07.83 because Ellen White would walk that creek 00:41:07.86\00:41:10.97 along that creek as we did down the hill. 00:41:11.00\00:41:12.80 It's beautiful. That was... 00:41:12.83\00:41:14.44 We had a chance to do 00:41:14.47\00:41:15.80 a little sightseeing down in Sydney. 00:41:15.84\00:41:17.21 We went to Sydney. 00:41:17.24\00:41:18.57 Just before we went to Tasmania. 00:41:18.61\00:41:20.21 And where we went to the church, 00:41:20.28\00:41:21.61 I know we have a picture of it is, Launceston, 00:41:21.64\00:41:23.85 or Ryan how do you say it? 00:41:23.88\00:41:25.88 Launceston. Perfect. Good job, my brother. 00:41:25.91\00:41:28.78 But I think Tim might know 00:41:28.82\00:41:30.19 a little bit better how to say it. 00:41:30.22\00:41:32.02 I don't know about that. 00:41:32.05\00:41:33.39 Some of those things kind of get my tongue all messed up 00:41:33.46\00:41:34.99 kind to say it, but it was a blessing. 00:41:35.02\00:41:36.56 So we flew from Sydney to right into Launceston. 00:41:36.59\00:41:40.20 It was really neat because we got out of the plane 00:41:40.23\00:41:42.03 right onto the tarmac 00:41:42.06\00:41:43.40 and walked right into a little... 00:41:43.47\00:41:44.80 Yes, one of the small airports. Yup. 00:41:44.83\00:41:46.17 I like the way Tim pronounces it. 00:41:46.20\00:41:47.64 He said, "I'm glad to be here." 00:41:47.67\00:41:49.74 Yeah, you know, it's just safe saying here, 00:41:49.77\00:41:53.78 or you say, we're going to be where, 00:41:53.81\00:41:55.41 and you let the crowd say, and you agree with them. 00:41:55.44\00:41:57.25 That's right. Amen. 00:41:57.28\00:41:58.68 That's a good way of doing it, Tim. 00:41:58.71\00:42:00.05 That's good way. But we flew into Launceston? 00:42:00.12\00:42:03.62 Yep, and then Tasmania, 00:42:03.69\00:42:06.12 but it's really untouched wilderness. 00:42:06.15\00:42:08.02 A lot of Tasmania is just a beautiful place. 00:42:08.06\00:42:11.33 There's the church sign at Launceston. 00:42:11.36\00:42:13.80 A little bit more rolly, the terrain. 00:42:13.83\00:42:15.63 Yes, there's pastor, you're speaking. 00:42:15.66\00:42:17.67 Wonderful people there too. 00:42:17.70\00:42:19.30 What a blessing to get to meet them 00:42:19.33\00:42:21.40 and get to know them. 00:42:21.44\00:42:23.51 They had to put up their chairs out. 00:42:23.54\00:42:24.87 Pastor Brad. That's right. 00:42:24.91\00:42:26.31 The pastor. He and his team there. 00:42:26.34\00:42:29.34 Very supportive and just opened the doors, 00:42:29.38\00:42:31.51 yeah, wide open. 00:42:31.55\00:42:33.28 That's Tim again, like congregational singing, 00:42:33.31\00:42:35.98 and special music. 00:42:36.02\00:42:37.59 Tim makes any piano sound better than what you think. 00:42:37.62\00:42:39.72 Do you know that? I agree. 00:42:39.75\00:42:42.52 Look at there. Angie. 00:42:42.56\00:42:44.03 That was a precious little young person. 00:42:44.06\00:42:45.39 This lady, I think what number she had adopted? 00:42:45.43\00:42:48.13 Like 34 foster children. She... That was her last. 00:42:48.16\00:42:51.60 That's little Rachel I think. 00:42:51.63\00:42:53.03 Amy. Amy. 00:42:53.07\00:42:54.40 Amy. Amy. That's it. 00:42:54.44\00:42:55.77 You're right. Yeah, it was nice. 00:43:06.92\00:43:08.82 Being together as part of the team 00:43:08.85\00:43:10.32 because sometimes we're very busy here at 3ABN, 00:43:10.39\00:43:11.95 and we don't actually hang out very much. 00:43:11.99\00:43:13.66 We need to make that like a new rule. 00:43:13.69\00:43:15.26 We should. 00:43:15.29\00:43:16.62 Have to have dinner once a week, 00:43:16.66\00:43:18.03 at least with each other. 00:43:18.06\00:43:19.79 Put this into the handbook now. Okay, yeah, let's do this. 00:43:19.83\00:43:21.30 I know, right? 00:43:21.33\00:43:22.83 We can call the breakfast or dinner 00:43:22.86\00:43:24.20 'cause as you said earlier. 00:43:24.27\00:43:25.83 But it was nice because that church also fed us. 00:43:25.87\00:43:27.87 You know, they were, like you said, 00:43:27.90\00:43:29.24 we ate very well in Australia, 00:43:29.27\00:43:31.01 and when we went there, there's... 00:43:31.04\00:43:32.51 You walked across the parking lot 00:43:32.54\00:43:33.88 to the little school gym, 00:43:33.91\00:43:35.58 a little gymnasium, 00:43:35.61\00:43:36.98 and there was actually no tables, 00:43:37.05\00:43:38.38 we all just kind of sat in chairs, 00:43:38.41\00:43:39.75 that was kind of a neat feel, and people just visited. 00:43:39.78\00:43:42.32 Food was on the table. Food was on the table. 00:43:42.35\00:43:43.69 Yes, thank you. Food was on the table. 00:43:43.72\00:43:45.22 There weren't table for us to eat, 00:43:45.25\00:43:46.76 but just a great atmosphere. Go ahead, Ryan. 00:43:46.79\00:43:48.82 I was going to say they had, that when we first went in, 00:43:48.86\00:43:50.83 they had soup and cups, so you drink your soup, 00:43:50.86\00:43:54.33 and it was pumpkin. 00:43:54.36\00:43:55.73 It was. Or squash pumpkin? 00:43:55.76\00:43:57.10 Squash pumpkin, or something, but it was very good. 00:43:57.17\00:44:00.74 You know, the theme has been food in the program. 00:44:00.77\00:44:03.51 I kind of picked up on that. 00:44:03.54\00:44:04.87 So let me just say that, you know, 00:44:04.91\00:44:06.51 after our services were over on Saturday evening, 00:44:06.54\00:44:10.38 we went to Subway. 00:44:10.45\00:44:14.32 And so I don't know if I've told you 00:44:14.35\00:44:16.12 or if you heard about that. 00:44:16.15\00:44:17.95 So the gentleman that was working there in Subway, 00:44:17.99\00:44:20.39 that was turned out to be his last night. 00:44:20.46\00:44:22.16 That's right. 00:44:22.19\00:44:23.53 And so John Malkiewicz had had told him, you know, 00:44:23.56\00:44:26.09 be sure, and get your phone out, 00:44:26.13\00:44:27.50 and look up 3ABN Australia. 00:44:27.53\00:44:29.26 And so, you know, I'm always like, 00:44:29.30\00:44:30.87 "Okay, but don't, don't, 00:44:30.90\00:44:32.53 we need to get our orders," you know? 00:44:32.57\00:44:35.74 And he was the only one working. 00:44:35.77\00:44:37.54 So they were another bunch of us, 00:44:37.61\00:44:39.01 and we all wanted something different, 00:44:39.04\00:44:40.78 and so I didn't want to, you know, trying to say, 00:44:40.81\00:44:42.71 "Okay, let's not talk to him about anything else outside," 00:44:42.74\00:44:46.05 not that I'm ashamed of 3ABN Australia 00:44:46.08\00:44:47.98 or anything or Jesus or anybody, 00:44:48.02\00:44:50.22 I just wanted to get our business done. 00:44:50.29\00:44:52.85 But he was fun, we had a good time. 00:44:52.89\00:44:55.02 And a great spirit. 00:44:55.06\00:44:56.39 We were just outside of Benton, 00:44:56.42\00:44:58.06 just not far from here at 3ABN in West Frankfort... 00:44:58.09\00:45:01.33 We were coming home after we've flown. 00:45:01.36\00:45:02.70 Coming home after we'd flown all... 00:45:02.73\00:45:04.93 We were up 32 hours or whatever. 00:45:04.97\00:45:07.07 And I got a message on my phone, 00:45:07.14\00:45:10.11 and it asked me how I enjoyed my sub sandwich, 00:45:10.14\00:45:14.18 and it was through messenger, Facebook messenger, 00:45:14.21\00:45:17.85 and it was that guy. 00:45:17.88\00:45:20.92 His name is Lance, 00:45:20.95\00:45:22.45 and we since have become friends on Facebook. 00:45:22.48\00:45:24.52 He was asking why we were there. 00:45:24.55\00:45:26.12 I've been telling him about 3ABN, 00:45:26.15\00:45:28.09 and so just a great opportunity, no matter... 00:45:28.12\00:45:32.06 Be sure and take advantage of every place you go 00:45:32.09\00:45:34.70 to tell somebody about Jesus, about 3ABN. 00:45:34.73\00:45:38.37 You never know what connection you can make. 00:45:38.40\00:45:41.20 So I think I just... 00:45:41.24\00:45:42.60 Won how many ever... Right, exactly. 00:45:42.64\00:45:44.54 In fact, that particular young man 00:45:44.57\00:45:47.38 had told me that night, 00:45:47.41\00:45:48.91 because I was the last one to go through the line, 00:45:48.94\00:45:51.41 he had told me that he was grateful 00:45:51.45\00:45:52.85 that he had got to serve us 00:45:52.88\00:45:54.52 because that was his last shift there at Subway. 00:45:54.55\00:45:56.89 He was starting a new job 00:45:56.92\00:45:58.42 I think the next day or the next week. 00:45:58.45\00:45:59.99 And so it was a blessing to have that connection. 00:46:00.06\00:46:02.82 Absolutely. Absolutely. 00:46:04.59\00:46:05.93 And you'll never know till eternity 00:46:05.96\00:46:07.70 how that last opportunity reminds me 00:46:07.73\00:46:10.27 of the woman with the issue of blood, 00:46:10.30\00:46:11.97 that was Jesus' last journey. 00:46:12.00\00:46:14.77 And the woman at the well, another last journey. 00:46:14.80\00:46:17.97 So He find those last journeys 00:46:18.01\00:46:19.81 and He probably thought to Himself, 00:46:19.84\00:46:21.51 "You know, can't wait for my new job," 00:46:21.54\00:46:23.98 and the Lord probably said, 00:46:24.05\00:46:25.88 "But I'm not going to let you out of here 00:46:25.91\00:46:27.25 until I introduce you to the future. 00:46:27.32\00:46:29.42 I have another plan for you young man." 00:46:29.45\00:46:31.12 And you never know. 00:46:31.15\00:46:32.49 That kind of brings chills about it 00:46:32.52\00:46:35.36 that God saw that appointment 00:46:35.39\00:46:37.03 long before we got to Launceston. 00:46:37.06\00:46:39.86 God saw that appointment focused on this young man 00:46:39.89\00:46:43.13 because he has a future for him. 00:46:43.16\00:46:44.63 And so for those of you that watch 3ABN, 00:46:44.67\00:46:46.20 there's appointment that God makes 00:46:46.23\00:46:48.54 that we will only know in eternity 00:46:48.57\00:46:50.34 what those appointments are all about 00:46:50.41\00:46:52.04 because we will probably not see him again 00:46:52.07\00:46:53.98 except for the friendships you make, 00:46:54.01\00:46:55.74 connections through the email or however. 00:46:55.78\00:46:58.11 But what eternity is going to be? 00:46:58.15\00:46:59.48 What a surprise? 00:46:59.51\00:47:00.85 He was so cheerful. Very cheerful. 00:47:00.92\00:47:02.92 And you think about that all those connections we made 00:47:02.95\00:47:05.19 you know as we were there in Australia 00:47:05.22\00:47:07.06 with the different people that the Lord led us to meet. 00:47:07.09\00:47:10.43 I love that about John Malkiewicz. He's so... 00:47:10.46\00:47:13.03 Everywhere we went, he said, "Do you have the 3ABN app? 00:47:13.06\00:47:16.23 Here's your phone. 00:47:16.26\00:47:17.60 Let me download it for you right now, 00:47:17.63\00:47:18.97 and then you can start watching it." 00:47:19.00\00:47:20.34 And so what a way to witness, what a way to share the gospel. 00:47:20.37\00:47:24.14 I know, we have, I think a few more pictures left of, 00:47:24.21\00:47:28.44 I'm not sure if it's Tasmania or Sydney or something but... 00:47:28.48\00:47:30.95 Let's see what we have. Let's see. 00:47:30.98\00:47:32.31 Just put up some pictures, and we'll talk about them. 00:47:32.35\00:47:35.08 Oh. That's the bridge in Sydney. 00:47:35.12\00:47:36.99 That's the Sydney Harbor Bridge, 00:47:37.02\00:47:39.55 or aka the coat hanger. 00:47:39.59\00:47:40.96 Did we cross that? Facing the Opera House. 00:47:40.99\00:47:42.32 We walked across that bridge. 00:47:42.36\00:47:43.86 Yes. And that's Sydney. 00:47:43.93\00:47:45.66 From that bridge to downtown Sydney. 00:47:45.69\00:47:48.26 Beautiful city. 00:47:48.30\00:47:49.63 This one right there, that was a... 00:47:49.66\00:47:51.67 The Opera House. 00:47:51.70\00:47:53.03 To be on that bridge, I think I took 00:47:53.07\00:47:54.40 maybe about 1500 pictures that day. 00:47:54.44\00:47:57.01 Gorgeous. A beautiful country however. 00:47:57.04\00:47:59.17 I'm going to print those on canvas, 00:47:59.21\00:48:00.58 maybe we can put them on... 00:48:00.61\00:48:01.94 Oh, I love that. That's gorgeous. 00:48:01.98\00:48:04.88 And it had rained quite a bit every day 00:48:04.91\00:48:06.85 but see the sun came out for those pictures. 00:48:06.92\00:48:08.55 Oh, was that you in the booth, Ryan? 00:48:08.58\00:48:10.19 Ryan. That's Ryan in the phone booth. 00:48:10.22\00:48:11.55 Superman. 00:48:11.59\00:48:13.19 Kind of dinosaur and Ryan was invited. 00:48:13.22\00:48:15.12 Yeah, it was Superman. On the telephone booth. 00:48:15.16\00:48:18.23 Another one there. 00:48:18.26\00:48:19.69 Be more like in the middle of the bridge, 00:48:19.73\00:48:22.13 and we had driven over that bridge many times, 00:48:22.16\00:48:24.17 and that's the Opera House that... 00:48:24.20\00:48:25.77 We went in it. As a matter of fact... 00:48:25.80\00:48:28.37 Didn't we all? All of us went inside. 00:48:28.40\00:48:29.74 Yeah, we did. We just stepped in a moment. 00:48:29.77\00:48:32.77 And we were close enough too when the rain started. 00:48:32.81\00:48:34.91 Oh, yeah. To get into that. 00:48:34.94\00:48:36.68 Run in the ark. Boy, wasn't it hard? 00:48:36.75\00:48:40.22 Boy, wasn't that... 00:48:40.25\00:48:41.58 Oh, Greg and Jill after the hike. 00:48:41.62\00:48:43.82 This is Tasmania. That's right. 00:48:43.89\00:48:46.42 Tim, I think that's at the gorge... 00:48:46.45\00:48:48.26 Oh, the gorge. And I'm in Tasmania. 00:48:48.29\00:48:50.63 Yeah the gorge was gorgeous. Fern trees. 00:48:58.73\00:49:00.44 But it's like ferns, but they're big, they're heavy. 00:49:00.47\00:49:02.60 Never heard of them before. 00:49:02.64\00:49:04.01 Yeah, that's some beautiful plants. 00:49:04.04\00:49:05.37 That's the waterfall. 00:49:05.41\00:49:06.74 We walked through that waterfall. 00:49:06.78\00:49:08.11 Oh, yeah. 00:49:08.14\00:49:09.48 This is out in the middle of nowhere. 00:49:09.51\00:49:10.85 Dirt road, mud. Liffey Falls. 00:49:10.88\00:49:12.21 Liffey Falls, yeah. It's all the aroma. 00:49:20.22\00:49:22.46 And that orange tree we walked by 00:49:22.49\00:49:24.23 when we were going to, beyond that path 00:49:24.26\00:49:26.33 behind John Rosemary's house there. 00:49:26.36\00:49:28.36 I walked past that I thought, "What is that? 00:49:28.40\00:49:30.17 What is that flower?" 00:49:30.20\00:49:31.80 I've never smelled an orange tree like that. 00:49:31.83\00:49:34.87 We've been in Florida, we lived in Florida, 00:49:34.90\00:49:37.31 never smelled an orange tree like that. 00:49:37.34\00:49:38.67 Not like that. 00:49:38.71\00:49:40.04 It's amazing. 00:49:40.08\00:49:41.41 We have just a few minutes left. 00:49:41.44\00:49:42.78 What if we took a couple minutes 00:49:42.81\00:49:44.25 and each one of you share maybe a takeaway 00:49:44.28\00:49:46.05 or something that the Lord taught you 00:49:46.08\00:49:47.45 during your time? 00:49:47.52\00:49:48.85 Ladies first. Yeah, in Australia. 00:49:48.88\00:49:50.99 In Australia or Tassie or one of those? 00:49:51.02\00:49:53.19 It's probably hard to pick. Something that's on your heart. 00:49:53.22\00:49:55.56 It's probably hard to pick something. 00:49:55.59\00:49:56.93 I just loved the people. The people were just wonderful. 00:49:56.96\00:50:00.40 And one lady came to me and says, 00:50:00.43\00:50:02.43 "I am so happy that you thought of us 00:50:02.46\00:50:05.20 in Launceston to come here." 00:50:05.23\00:50:10.64 She said, "This small little place." 00:50:10.71\00:50:12.64 She says, "I watch 3ABN is my church. 00:50:12.67\00:50:15.31 And so for you all to come here means a world to me." 00:50:15.34\00:50:18.41 So I just look forward to meeting people. 00:50:18.45\00:50:21.22 We are a part of the family of God, 00:50:21.25\00:50:22.95 and they are our family even though we're worlds away. 00:50:22.98\00:50:25.92 That's right. Yeah, well said. 00:50:25.95\00:50:27.86 Yeah, go ahead, Ryan, or Tim. 00:50:27.89\00:50:29.82 I was just going to say, you know, 00:50:29.86\00:50:31.33 we were like what 14, 15 hour, 16 hour difference, 00:50:31.36\00:50:35.46 I'm not sure. From here. 00:50:35.50\00:50:36.97 Fourteen from here. 00:50:37.00\00:50:38.33 Fourteen-hour difference, 00:50:38.37\00:50:39.70 so our sleep patterns were disrupted, 00:50:39.73\00:50:41.37 and still are to some point. 00:50:41.40\00:50:43.51 But I know when we were in Tasmania, 00:50:43.54\00:50:47.41 I would lay, I had window open, and I would hear the city, 00:50:47.48\00:50:52.01 one of the clock towers chime 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 00:50:52.05\00:50:57.92 4 o'clock in the middle of the night, 00:50:57.95\00:50:59.95 and it reminded me of that verse in Ephesians. 00:50:59.99\00:51:04.66 Ephesians 5:15-16, 00:51:04.69\00:51:08.13 "Be careful how you walk not as unwise but as wise 00:51:08.16\00:51:10.77 making the most of your time," 00:51:10.80\00:51:13.34 the King James I believe says redeeming the time 00:51:13.37\00:51:16.94 because the days are evil. 00:51:17.01\00:51:18.61 And it just reminded me, 00:51:18.64\00:51:19.97 you know, as I laid there trying, 00:51:20.01\00:51:21.34 I'm so aggravated about being awake at those hours 00:51:21.38\00:51:24.88 in the middle of the night, just how important it is, 00:51:24.91\00:51:28.08 and the mission that we were on 00:51:28.12\00:51:29.82 to redeem the time, and to be sure 00:51:29.85\00:51:31.92 and get the message out of Christ's soon return. 00:51:31.95\00:51:34.39 Amen. Amen. 00:51:34.42\00:51:35.76 Ryan? Amen. 00:51:35.79\00:51:37.13 You know, this trip to Australia 00:51:37.16\00:51:38.93 reminded me of the power of evangelism 00:51:38.96\00:51:42.30 because you know, a little over 100 years ago, 00:51:42.33\00:51:45.27 Ellen White, other Adventists 00:51:45.30\00:51:47.24 had set foot there on the Australian continent, 00:51:47.27\00:51:49.94 and then to know how that's grown, 00:51:50.01\00:51:52.57 and the power that the advent movement 00:51:52.61\00:51:54.18 has taken since then, 00:51:54.21\00:51:56.51 just to meet people with like mindedness, 00:51:56.54\00:51:59.41 interested and very much blessed 00:51:59.45\00:52:02.68 by the power of the gospel there, 00:52:02.72\00:52:05.15 it's just an incredible opportunity to be a part of, 00:52:05.19\00:52:07.59 and I really enjoyed myself, I hope to go back, 00:52:07.66\00:52:10.83 absolutely. 00:52:10.86\00:52:12.19 Real quickly, I can't wait to see 00:52:12.23\00:52:13.56 what the Lord has in store for the future. 00:52:13.60\00:52:14.93 If that's a taste of it, 00:52:14.96\00:52:16.30 the glory is going to be more beautiful. 00:52:16.33\00:52:18.20 Amen. Amen. 00:52:18.23\00:52:20.24 Yeah, I think for me, it's hard to pick 00:52:20.27\00:52:21.74 what as far as one of the takeaways for me 00:52:21.77\00:52:23.71 but I think Angie, I'm with you, 00:52:23.74\00:52:25.07 is the people that, I don't know, to me, 00:52:25.11\00:52:27.81 it's a taste of heaven to hear everyone singing, 00:52:27.84\00:52:30.55 Tim, we're talking, you know, about the music 00:52:30.58\00:52:32.21 and singing together and hearing the word preached. 00:52:32.25\00:52:34.38 I think of the, oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. 00:52:34.42\00:52:37.29 He's good. Well, for sure, He is. 00:52:37.32\00:52:39.22 Amen. What about you? 00:52:39.25\00:52:40.59 Oh, my. I think it's the people. 00:52:40.66\00:52:42.96 You know, it's just having a picture 00:52:42.99\00:52:45.13 of what heaven would be like, 00:52:45.16\00:52:47.10 knowing that we're going to meet with brothers 00:52:47.13\00:52:50.20 and sisters around the sea of glass, 00:52:50.27\00:52:52.60 and we just want to encourage you, 00:52:52.63\00:52:53.97 we want you to be there. 00:52:54.04\00:52:55.37 Make a decision to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, 00:52:55.40\00:53:00.08 and we have an eternity together. 00:53:00.11\00:53:02.18 We have a news break, 00:53:02.21\00:53:03.55 and we will be back in just a moment 00:53:03.58\00:53:05.55 with a closing thought. 00:53:05.58\00:53:06.92
