stopped to really think about

I looked up to him,
we're year and a half apart.

He was 17 when he
passed away. Seventeen?

Well, he had friends.

They're on their way to a party,

my mother came outside

And of course, I said,

"No, I wanted to be
there, I wanted to go."

So I put up a fight
like any teenager would.

And she was very persistent
but I felt this conviction,

"Get out of the
truck, don't go."

And I was fighting that.
00:11:25.45\00:11:27.28
And eventually, you
know, my mother won.

I got out
reluctantly and they took off.

And a few hours
later we got the news
00:11:34.09\00:11:36.59
that they were
driving on a country road
00:11:36.62\00:11:40.56
and they were
passing up a hay truck.
00:11:40.60\00:11:42.16
And they were going
about 90 miles per hour
00:11:42.20\00:11:43.87
and they went through
a caution line section.

And they hit a vehicle
head on going 90 miles per hour
00:11:47.07\00:11:50.41
and it killed all
three of them in that crash.

And that really
allowed me to think about,

looked up to him so much

that how mortal I was,

important life is as a gift.

that as you look back on it?

Well, initially
it was so devastating

to lose someone you love
that I wasn't thinking that.

the funeral and hindsight,

I begin to realize
that God was speaking to me.

You know, He was wanting
me to get out of the truck,

that He wanted me to do

know that at the time.

to my conscience.

a blow to the family,

we decided,

my mother raised all
four of us by herself

for the most part.

she wanted to move
out of that environment.

So we moved to
Dallas, Texas. Okay.

And I started
going to school there.

Didn't have many friends

because I was
about 16 at the time.

I was looking for
discipline in my life.

I wanted discipline

and I found it in weightlifting,

competitive body building.

years from that point on,

I graduated from high school

and started a career in
competitive body building.

really contemplated

the idea of
somebody just saying,

do this as a career."

But it was a career for you.

For me at the time, it
was something that I needed.

I needed something
to keep me focused.

And I enjoyed weightlifting,

thing led to another

become consumed with it

and started competing.

And it was five years into that

Lord began to give me,

book that was going over.

And I was just
convicted and convinced

on the validity
of Bible prophecy.

I had never in my life
seen something so accurate...

predict, not just the future,

So I took the
book off the shelf,

began to read the first chapter.

not put the book down.

They're looking out to see

fulfilling Bible prophecy.

danger in taking things

and it's just with
this Islam theology,
