I want to spend my life 00:00:01.86\00:00:07.87 Mending broken people 00:00:07.90\00:00:12.77 I want to spend my life 00:00:12.81\00:00:19.15 Removing pain 00:00:19.18\00:00:24.05 Lord, let my words 00:00:24.09\00:00:30.23 Heal a heart that hurts 00:00:30.26\00:00:34.83 I want to spend my life 00:00:34.86\00:00:40.70 Mending broken people 00:00:40.74\00:00:45.97 I want to spend my life 00:00:46.01\00:00:51.71 Mending broken people 00:00:51.75\00:00:55.08 Hello, I'm Shelley Quinn, 00:01:10.43\00:01:11.77 and we welcome you once again to 3ABN Today. 00:01:11.80\00:01:15.07 We hope that you're having a wonderful day 00:01:15.10\00:01:17.44 wherever you are 00:01:17.47\00:01:19.04 because we're having a great day here. 00:01:19.07\00:01:21.44 I want to start our program. 00:01:21.48\00:01:24.35 Today, we are going to be looking 00:01:24.38\00:01:27.55 at a very exciting project, 00:01:27.58\00:01:30.39 and you don't want to miss this 00:01:30.42\00:01:31.89 because we've got two five-minute video segments 00:01:31.92\00:01:35.59 of something that is going to blow your mind. 00:01:35.62\00:01:38.19 This cinematography is incredible, 00:01:38.23\00:01:40.90 and this project is called "The Lineage Project", 00:01:40.93\00:01:44.77 and it is something that has been sponsored 00:01:44.80\00:01:47.80 by the North England Conference 00:01:47.84\00:01:49.64 of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 00:01:49.67\00:01:51.44 But before I introduce our special guest, 00:01:51.47\00:01:54.14 I was thinking what would be a good scripture 00:01:54.18\00:01:57.71 to open this program. 00:01:57.75\00:01:59.98 And what came to my mind is Habakkuk 2. 00:02:00.02\00:02:04.92 Let me read verses 2 and 3. 00:02:04.95\00:02:07.42 The Lord is speaking to Habakkuk 00:02:07.46\00:02:09.52 and He says, "Write the vision and make it plain 00:02:09.56\00:02:12.66 that he may run who reads it. 00:02:12.69\00:02:15.16 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, 00:02:15.20\00:02:18.47 but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. 00:02:18.50\00:02:21.87 Though it tarries, wait for it. 00:02:21.90\00:02:23.74 Because it will surely come, it will not tarry." 00:02:23.77\00:02:27.38 The Lineage Project, I guess, I'll let them explain it, 00:02:27.41\00:02:31.28 but in essence, this is a project 00:02:31.31\00:02:34.58 that is following the heritage of our church, 00:02:34.62\00:02:39.52 the heritage of the Christian church. 00:02:39.55\00:02:42.19 And they go back through the Protestant Reformation 00:02:42.22\00:02:45.89 and ride up into today what's going on. 00:02:45.93\00:02:48.56 And I believe this is something that is so greatly needed, 00:02:48.60\00:02:52.70 but their special focus is to reach youth. 00:02:52.73\00:02:56.54 So stay tuned you're going to want to hear 00:02:56.57\00:02:59.87 and see this project 00:02:59.91\00:03:01.64 and how you can see it online. 00:03:01.68\00:03:03.55 So let me introduce our special guest today. 00:03:03.58\00:03:07.62 First, we have with us Adam Ramdin. 00:03:07.65\00:03:12.22 And you are the youth director 00:03:12.25\00:03:15.12 for the North England Conference, is that correct? 00:03:15.16\00:03:17.06 Yeah, that's correct. Yeah. 00:03:17.09\00:03:18.43 Wonderful. We're so glad you're here. 00:03:18.46\00:03:20.10 And then we have Marie and Clive. 00:03:20.13\00:03:23.23 Well, help me say this... 00:03:23.26\00:03:24.60 Clive. Clive. 00:03:24.63\00:03:25.97 Marie and Clive. 00:03:26.00\00:03:27.34 I was focusing on the last name that's why I missed that up. 00:03:27.37\00:03:30.71 Coutet, is that correct? Yes. 00:03:30.74\00:03:32.57 We're so glad that you have joined us. 00:03:32.61\00:03:34.94 So, Adam, let's just kick this off. 00:03:34.98\00:03:37.88 Tell us in your words, 00:03:37.91\00:03:41.25 what is the Lineage Project about? 00:03:41.28\00:03:45.92 I was going to say, it's a video project, 00:03:45.95\00:03:47.29 but it's actually more than that. 00:03:47.32\00:03:48.66 The thinking or the vision behind it 00:03:48.69\00:03:50.93 as working, myself as working as the youth director 00:03:50.96\00:03:54.03 was to create resource 00:03:54.06\00:03:55.53 that would be accessible for young people, 00:03:55.56\00:03:58.87 and it would be a way where they can tap into 00:03:58.90\00:04:01.50 and understand their spiritual heritage and history. 00:04:01.54\00:04:04.67 A lot of young people today don't read 00:04:04.71\00:04:06.98 and if they do, they don't read books, 00:04:07.01\00:04:08.78 they just maybe read an article. 00:04:08.81\00:04:10.48 And so as a young person growing up in the church 00:04:10.51\00:04:13.11 there's not many resources where they can find out 00:04:13.15\00:04:16.52 where we come from as a people unless you read. 00:04:16.55\00:04:19.85 And without people reading today, 00:04:19.89\00:04:22.72 people aren't really connecting with their roots 00:04:22.76\00:04:25.19 and where they come from. 00:04:25.23\00:04:26.56 So Lineage aim to kind of create a video resource 00:04:26.59\00:04:29.50 that would be showed and easy to watch 00:04:29.53\00:04:33.34 where they could see where we as a people, 00:04:33.37\00:04:36.64 whereas we as Protestants as Adventists 00:04:36.67\00:04:38.54 where we come from, what our lineage, 00:04:38.57\00:04:40.18 and what our background is. 00:04:40.21\00:04:41.84 And so that was kind of the vision behind it, 00:04:41.88\00:04:45.18 and then it just kind of, I guess. 00:04:45.21\00:04:48.18 It just started growing and growing. 00:04:48.22\00:04:50.55 Started to grow. 00:04:50.59\00:04:51.92 Well, it actually started not so much with... 00:04:51.95\00:04:55.76 It was kind of a collaboration 00:04:55.79\00:04:57.13 between myself and another person 00:04:57.16\00:04:58.49 called Clive Coutet, not this Clive Coutet, 00:04:58.53\00:05:00.93 another Clive Coutet, 00:05:00.96\00:05:02.53 don't get confused, there's two. 00:05:02.56\00:05:04.70 So Clive Coutet Jr. is what you're saying. 00:05:04.73\00:05:07.14 They're actually born on the same day 00:05:07.17\00:05:08.54 hence the same name, I believe. 00:05:08.57\00:05:10.97 Really? 00:05:11.01\00:05:12.34 He approached me, we're in the British Museum in London 00:05:12.37\00:05:14.44 and he approached me and said, 00:05:14.48\00:05:15.81 "I'd love to do some videos 00:05:15.84\00:05:17.71 here in the British Museum, and London, 00:05:17.75\00:05:20.02 it's the city I was raised in 00:05:20.05\00:05:21.75 on some of the Christian history 00:05:21.78\00:05:23.12 you can find in the British Museum." 00:05:23.15\00:05:24.75 And I said, "Oh, you know, great idea." 00:05:24.79\00:05:26.72 And I said, "Well, let's video Oxford as well 00:05:26.76\00:05:29.49 because it's only, you know, 45 minutes up the road, 00:05:29.52\00:05:31.86 and let's go to Lutterworth where John Wycliffe comes from 00:05:31.89\00:05:34.56 because that's only other another hour up the road, 00:05:34.60\00:05:36.46 and lets video them and Edinburgh too 00:05:36.50\00:05:38.47 because that's not far away." 00:05:38.50\00:05:39.97 And then I don't know at what point 00:05:40.00\00:05:42.70 we went from there to the whole of Europe, 00:05:42.74\00:05:44.41 but it happened somewhere. 00:05:44.44\00:05:46.11 And we thought, "Well, let's just kind of 00:05:46.14\00:05:48.31 make a chronological journey of videos 00:05:48.34\00:05:51.81 that kind of chart our history and take people on the journey 00:05:51.85\00:05:54.38 from the beginning up until today." 00:05:54.42\00:05:56.72 Now these videos are all five-minute videos. 00:05:56.75\00:05:59.85 Yeah, roughly. Yeah. Roughly. 00:05:59.89\00:06:01.39 And this is something that we're learning 00:06:01.42\00:06:03.66 for the millennial generation that they and the younger ones 00:06:03.69\00:06:08.56 they want something short and sweet that they can see. 00:06:08.60\00:06:11.20 So you have how many episodes have you so far? 00:06:11.23\00:06:15.00 We started releasing them in January of this year 2017. 00:06:15.04\00:06:18.47 And there's been one episode per week every Wednesday, 00:06:18.51\00:06:21.74 and so far... 00:06:21.78\00:06:23.38 Well, by the end of the year, we'll have 48 episodes 00:06:23.41\00:06:25.98 for this current season, I guess you should say. 00:06:26.01\00:06:30.59 It's very impressive. 00:06:30.62\00:06:31.95 So, Marie and Clive, let me ask you this. 00:06:31.99\00:06:34.89 Where did your son, Clive Jr. get the desire 00:06:34.92\00:06:40.56 or at what point did God birthed in his heart 00:06:40.60\00:06:43.60 that he should be in cinematography? 00:06:43.63\00:06:47.07 Ever since he was growing up, he's been watching his dad, 00:06:47.10\00:06:50.77 and sometimes myself filming our church in Croydon, 00:06:50.81\00:06:54.74 the Croydon Seventh-day Adventist Church, 00:06:54.78\00:06:57.21 and that church is livestream now. 00:06:57.25\00:07:00.42 So he's been watching us. 00:07:00.45\00:07:01.78 But when he finished his studies, 00:07:01.82\00:07:04.55 high school studies, 00:07:04.59\00:07:06.25 he was going to uni, and he told us... 00:07:06.29\00:07:09.42 And uni being university... University. 00:07:09.46\00:07:11.36 For those of us who... So it's English short term. 00:07:11.39\00:07:13.70 University. Okay. 00:07:13.73\00:07:15.06 So he told myself and Clive, 00:07:15.10\00:07:18.40 "Mum, I'm going to study 00:07:18.43\00:07:20.27 film studies and video production." 00:07:20.30\00:07:23.20 And we were worried about it 00:07:23.24\00:07:25.91 because how could our child from who has been brought up 00:07:25.94\00:07:29.91 from the Seventh-day Adventist Church 00:07:29.94\00:07:31.78 going to the secular world to learn this skill. 00:07:31.81\00:07:37.85 But unknown to us he had a plan, 00:07:37.89\00:07:41.56 but God had a better plan for his life. 00:07:41.59\00:07:44.56 He started filming one of his friend's sermon, 00:07:44.59\00:07:48.83 his friend's name is Dean, 00:07:48.86\00:07:50.57 and he said, "Clive, why don't you film my sermon 00:07:50.60\00:07:54.47 as my girlfriend is in Brazil 00:07:54.50\00:07:57.67 so we can send it to her and she'll watch it." 00:07:57.71\00:08:01.28 And they started from there 00:08:01.31\00:08:02.88 and then in the second year of university, 00:08:02.91\00:08:06.31 he started filming from, you know, different churches, 00:08:06.35\00:08:10.42 Sabbath after Sabbath 00:08:10.45\00:08:12.29 and it all excelled from there, 00:08:12.32\00:08:14.16 and he went to do missionary work as well. 00:08:14.19\00:08:17.39 And then he joined... 00:08:17.43\00:08:20.16 Had that plan with Adam doing Lineage. 00:08:20.20\00:08:23.80 It started all from there. 00:08:23.83\00:08:25.40 And we give thanks to God and we prayed about it as well. 00:08:25.43\00:08:28.40 Amen. And God has blessed him. 00:08:28.44\00:08:31.01 And we prayed that it continues to do the same. 00:08:31.04\00:08:34.68 If this project is finished, 00:08:34.71\00:08:36.28 it will be another one and another one, 00:08:36.31\00:08:38.38 still working for God. 00:08:38.41\00:08:39.98 Yes. Amen. Yes. 00:08:40.02\00:08:41.48 Clive Sr. papa. 00:08:41.52\00:08:43.18 Papa Clive, I'll call you. 00:08:43.22\00:08:45.39 You actually were involved in the filming of this project. 00:08:45.42\00:08:50.36 So you're used to more being behind the scenes, 00:08:50.39\00:08:53.46 behind the camera than in front of the camera. 00:08:53.50\00:08:55.73 But you must be so proud 00:08:55.76\00:08:57.60 that God is using or has put His hand on your son 00:08:57.63\00:09:01.07 to use him in this way. 00:09:01.10\00:09:03.41 Amen. Praises to God. 00:09:03.44\00:09:05.31 Amen. Amen. 00:09:05.34\00:09:07.94 What was it like for you in working on the project? 00:09:07.98\00:09:12.21 I'm very blessed to be part of the team. 00:09:12.25\00:09:15.28 And from the beginning I've been there. 00:09:15.32\00:09:19.89 And I think I only miss about two sessions, 00:09:19.92\00:09:24.39 but most of the time I'm with them. 00:09:24.43\00:09:27.16 And I'm very pleased about that 00:09:27.20\00:09:28.86 and very blessed about it as well. 00:09:28.90\00:09:30.77 Amen. Amen. 00:09:30.80\00:09:32.13 I'm sure this is having a great spiritual impact on all of you. 00:09:32.17\00:09:36.87 You know, as Sister White once said, 00:09:36.91\00:09:40.41 "We have nothing to fear lest 00:09:40.44\00:09:41.84 we forget how God has led us in the past." 00:09:41.88\00:09:46.11 And there are so many people who... 00:09:46.15\00:09:48.45 It's not just the youth 00:09:48.48\00:09:50.35 who don't understand the Christian heritage, 00:09:50.39\00:09:54.26 and how God has rescued the people 00:09:54.29\00:09:58.39 and brought them forward. 00:09:58.43\00:10:00.23 Many people do not understand 00:10:00.26\00:10:01.96 what it even means to be a Protestant anymore. 00:10:02.00\00:10:05.00 And it's something that is rather quite scary 00:10:05.03\00:10:07.70 because if we forget the past, 00:10:07.74\00:10:10.24 it will repeat itself, I'm afraid. 00:10:10.27\00:10:12.31 So what we'd like to do is show one of those videos. 00:10:12.34\00:10:17.51 Sure. 00:10:17.55\00:10:18.88 Let's look at episode one of The Lineage Project. 00:10:18.91\00:10:22.25 As we trace back our spiritual lineage 00:10:42.04\00:10:45.07 to the early centuries, 00:10:45.11\00:10:46.57 we find the Christian church a maligned religion, 00:10:46.61\00:10:50.35 it was not popular. 00:10:50.38\00:10:52.18 Many of the Christians in the early centuries 00:10:52.21\00:10:55.12 paid the ultimate price 00:10:55.15\00:10:56.75 for their faith with their lives. 00:10:56.79\00:10:58.92 The Colosseum in Rome stands today 00:10:58.95\00:11:01.32 as a testament of this fact. 00:11:01.36\00:11:03.76 Under pagan Rome, 00:11:03.79\00:11:05.63 the Christian church struggled along, 00:11:05.66\00:11:07.96 but one thing was sure, 00:11:08.00\00:11:10.20 the intensity of the persecution 00:11:10.23\00:11:12.83 kept the church free 00:11:12.87\00:11:14.50 from nominal and lukewarm Christians. 00:11:14.54\00:11:17.71 If you were a Christian, you had to be all in, 00:11:17.74\00:11:20.54 there was no middle ground. 00:11:20.58\00:11:23.45 But in the fourth century, an event would come along 00:11:23.48\00:11:26.01 that would change all of that dramatically. 00:11:26.05\00:11:28.88 The conversion of Constantine changed the course of history 00:11:28.92\00:11:32.45 for the whole of Christendom 00:11:32.49\00:11:34.36 and the roots of that come down here to York, England. 00:11:34.39\00:11:38.06 In 306 AD, Constantine was declared emperor here. 00:11:41.10\00:11:45.90 His father Constantius 00:11:45.93\00:11:47.84 was in Britain from 305 to 306 AD, 00:11:47.87\00:11:50.94 and Constantine was with him until his death. 00:11:50.97\00:11:53.64 He was then declared emperor, 00:11:53.68\00:11:55.74 but it was not to be a smooth sailing. 00:11:55.78\00:11:58.38 There were counter claims to the emperorship 00:11:58.41\00:12:00.82 from Licinius and Maxentius. 00:12:00.85\00:12:03.28 And as before a battle with Maxentius 00:12:03.32\00:12:05.95 that Constantine felt, 00:12:05.99\00:12:07.32 he needed more help than just the soldiers he had 00:12:07.36\00:12:10.09 and so he sought the help of God. 00:12:10.13\00:12:12.83 He believed, he saw a cross in the sky and heard the words, 00:12:12.86\00:12:16.83 "By this sign, you shall conquer." 00:12:16.87\00:12:19.93 He took this as a sign to convert to Christianity 00:12:19.97\00:12:23.24 and a major switch began to take place. 00:12:23.27\00:12:26.54 Rome would go from being pagan to papal, 00:12:26.57\00:12:30.28 from paganism to professed Christianity. 00:12:30.31\00:12:33.68 Many historians debate 00:12:33.72\00:12:35.08 the authenticity of Constantine's conversion. 00:12:35.12\00:12:39.05 Was it a deep rooted biblical conviction? 00:12:39.09\00:12:42.02 Or was it a political ploy 00:12:42.06\00:12:44.06 to keep a divided empire together? 00:12:44.09\00:12:47.20 One thing is sure though that after his conversion, 00:12:47.23\00:12:50.23 practices crept into the church 00:12:50.27\00:12:52.43 that previously had no place there. 00:12:52.47\00:12:55.30 Temples that were pagan were changed to Christian. 00:12:55.34\00:12:58.47 The Pantheon in Rome 00:12:58.51\00:13:00.14 was changed into a Christian church, 00:13:00.18\00:13:02.18 and the names of gods were changed to Christian saints. 00:13:02.21\00:13:05.85 For example, Jupiter became St. Peter and the list goes on. 00:13:05.88\00:13:10.89 While some were happy for these changes 00:13:15.76\00:13:18.09 and welcomed the lack of persecution 00:13:18.13\00:13:20.30 and their new found status. 00:13:20.33\00:13:21.90 There were many Christians all over Europe 00:13:21.93\00:13:24.40 who resisted these changes. 00:13:24.43\00:13:26.43 For them the persecution continued 00:13:26.47\00:13:29.14 as they stayed out of line with the mother church. 00:13:29.17\00:13:32.77 These were Christians who were maintaining 00:13:32.81\00:13:35.04 the pure apostolic faith 00:13:35.08\00:13:36.75 that was handed down to them over the years. 00:13:36.78\00:13:39.81 They were scattered groups of people all over Europe 00:13:39.85\00:13:42.98 in Northern Italy, in Southern France, 00:13:43.02\00:13:45.42 the Celtic Church here in Britain, 00:13:45.45\00:13:47.42 and in various other places. 00:13:47.46\00:13:49.36 The Bible refers to them as the church in the wilderness 00:13:49.39\00:13:53.40 in Revelation 12:6 and 14. 00:13:53.43\00:13:57.50 They were not always the biggest, 00:13:57.53\00:13:58.90 they were not always the largest, 00:13:58.93\00:14:00.57 but God would always have a people that were true to Him 00:14:00.60\00:14:04.37 and that were faithful to His Word. 00:14:04.41\00:14:06.78 And so from this point on, 00:14:06.81\00:14:08.91 two branches of the church would emerge, 00:14:08.94\00:14:11.81 the recognized, the mainstream, 00:14:11.85\00:14:13.95 but the compromised church, 00:14:13.98\00:14:15.82 and then the persecuted often the smaller, 00:14:15.85\00:14:18.19 but the pure church. 00:14:18.22\00:14:19.55 The question for us today 00:14:19.59\00:14:20.92 is which one of these two are we a part of? 00:14:20.96\00:14:24.63 May we never compromise truth for popularity, 00:14:24.66\00:14:28.50 may we be faithful to God and to His Word 00:14:28.53\00:14:31.37 no matter what the situation is. 00:14:31.40\00:14:33.60 Incredible cinematography. 00:14:53.69\00:14:56.32 And we have swapped out guests. 00:14:56.36\00:14:58.83 Marie has left this, and we have Jasper Iturriaga. 00:14:58.86\00:15:02.43 Yeah, Iturriaga. I said it correct. 00:15:02.46\00:15:04.07 Correct. 00:15:04.10\00:15:05.43 Jasper, we're glad that you've joined us, 00:15:05.47\00:15:06.80 and you're actually were the cinematographer 00:15:06.84\00:15:09.30 on this project, right? 00:15:09.34\00:15:10.67 Yes. Yeah, working as cinematographer. 00:15:10.71\00:15:12.04 Okay, wonderful. 00:15:12.07\00:15:13.54 Well, let me ask you this, 00:15:13.58\00:15:15.74 what kind of impact 00:15:15.78\00:15:18.41 is the Lineage Project having on people? 00:15:18.45\00:15:22.22 Good question. 00:15:22.25\00:15:23.59 I mean, originally, you know, sometimes 00:15:23.62\00:15:26.72 interesting to observe that 00:15:26.76\00:15:28.12 sometimes what you think may just be something small 00:15:28.16\00:15:30.36 and ends up being bigger than you intended. 00:15:30.39\00:15:32.76 Originally, the project was just to reach the youth 00:15:32.79\00:15:36.06 in the conference I work in, 00:15:36.10\00:15:38.00 we have videos for them, but it's kind of... 00:15:38.03\00:15:40.67 It's become more than that 00:15:40.70\00:15:42.50 or has reached further afield than that. 00:15:42.54\00:15:44.57 And so the platform that we chose to release them 00:15:44.61\00:15:48.44 was social media so Facebook and YouTube 00:15:48.48\00:15:50.41 and that is accessible anywhere. 00:15:50.45\00:15:52.35 And so we put the videos 00:15:52.38\00:15:54.42 every week on Facebook and YouTube 00:15:54.45\00:15:57.42 with the intention of having something on demand 00:15:57.45\00:15:59.45 that people can access, 00:15:59.49\00:16:00.82 and it's been accessed all over, 00:16:00.86\00:16:02.42 you know, different parts of the world. 00:16:02.46\00:16:04.49 I think about 45 countries so far we've had viewing in. 00:16:04.53\00:16:08.23 That's incredible. 00:16:08.26\00:16:10.73 And it's been translated 00:16:10.77\00:16:12.37 in different languages with subtitles 00:16:12.40\00:16:14.20 so it's kind of gone further 00:16:14.24\00:16:15.57 than we could've planned or imagined. 00:16:15.60\00:16:17.34 How many languages do you think? 00:16:17.37\00:16:18.84 At the moment, I think it's about 12. 00:16:18.87\00:16:21.64 Well, that's amazing. 00:16:21.68\00:16:23.45 Twelve different languages that have put subtitles 00:16:23.48\00:16:26.48 in their languages. 00:16:26.51\00:16:27.85 And we've voiceovers in three languages so far. 00:16:27.88\00:16:31.75 Wonderful. Polish, Italian, and Croatian. 00:16:31.79\00:16:34.22 So what demographic are you actually reaching? 00:16:34.26\00:16:40.00 It's mainly young people. 00:16:40.03\00:16:41.96 I think the recent thing that I've seen was 17 to... 00:16:42.00\00:16:46.70 Was it 17 years old to 20? 00:16:46.74\00:16:48.57 Thirteen to seventeen. Thirteen to seventeen. 00:16:48.60\00:16:49.94 Is our highest viewers. Yeah. 00:16:49.97\00:16:51.31 Thirteen to seventeen. 00:16:51.34\00:16:52.71 Is the highest viewers, 00:16:52.74\00:16:54.08 and the second highest is 18 to 25. 00:16:54.11\00:16:55.91 Praise God. 00:16:55.94\00:16:57.28 It's actually a surprise to me too 00:16:57.31\00:16:58.65 because I thought it's gonna be like 00:16:58.68\00:17:00.38 mostly older generation. 00:17:00.42\00:17:02.15 But there's a lot of interest, 00:17:02.18\00:17:03.52 especially, with the young people. 00:17:03.55\00:17:05.15 I think sometimes we're like people think 00:17:05.19\00:17:06.86 the young people aren't interested in history 00:17:06.89\00:17:08.29 or the history is like boring or it's whatever. 00:17:08.32\00:17:11.19 And I think this illustrates that people do want to know 00:17:11.23\00:17:15.40 where they've come from, and what their background is, 00:17:15.43\00:17:18.20 and what their spiritual history is, 00:17:18.23\00:17:19.57 and what their spiritual heritage is, 00:17:19.60\00:17:20.94 if the highest viewers are teenagers and early 20s. 00:17:20.97\00:17:25.21 So that was our intended audience 00:17:25.24\00:17:27.91 and we're very thankful and happy 00:17:27.94\00:17:30.15 that's who is actually been 00:17:30.18\00:17:31.85 our highest demographic watching. 00:17:31.88\00:17:34.32 And it's something when you think about 00:17:34.35\00:17:36.05 that if you were to sit them down with a history book 00:17:36.08\00:17:39.15 they might be, 00:17:39.19\00:17:41.49 but when you see the beauty of this project 00:17:41.52\00:17:45.79 as you're watching this, 00:17:45.83\00:17:47.53 that's an incredible thing to attract them, 00:17:47.56\00:17:50.03 the idea that you kept them to around five minutes, 00:17:50.07\00:17:53.40 this is something that keeps their attention. 00:17:53.44\00:17:55.60 I think sometimes that we're almost training our children 00:17:55.64\00:17:58.47 to have the attention of a hummingbird. 00:17:58.51\00:18:00.44 You know, they dip from this little flower 00:18:00.48\00:18:02.71 and then they dip from this little flower, 00:18:02.74\00:18:04.68 but it's wonderful to have such a resource out here. 00:18:04.71\00:18:08.78 Now I'm interested to know 00:18:08.82\00:18:12.45 was the team... 00:18:12.49\00:18:15.22 you were doing this for youth... 00:18:15.26\00:18:19.59 Who was the team comprised of? 00:18:19.63\00:18:21.43 Did you have many youth? 00:18:21.46\00:18:23.53 Yeah, a good question. 00:18:23.57\00:18:24.90 Most of the people on the team 00:18:24.93\00:18:26.27 are under the age of 30. 00:18:26.30\00:18:29.04 Yeah. 00:18:29.07\00:18:30.71 I'm one of the few that's not, 00:18:30.74\00:18:33.68 but I still like to think I'm young. 00:18:33.71\00:18:35.91 So I'm one of the few that's actually over 30 00:18:35.94\00:18:37.88 and then we have... 00:18:37.91\00:18:39.25 Clive is. We affectionately... 00:18:39.28\00:18:40.62 Clive, of course, is under 30, right, Clive? 00:18:40.65\00:18:43.89 We affectionately call him Uncle Clive. 00:18:43.92\00:18:45.32 Uncle Clive, yeah. 00:18:45.35\00:18:46.99 Clive, what part do you play as far as the cinematography? 00:18:47.02\00:18:51.19 I am the assistant cameraman. 00:18:51.23\00:18:53.19 Okay. And I do the 360. 00:18:53.23\00:18:55.36 The 360. So you're getting the whole... 00:18:55.40\00:18:56.97 Yes, yes. 00:18:57.00\00:18:58.47 And I help them in anything driving, 00:18:58.50\00:19:01.27 and a lot of, especially, when you are in Europe 00:19:01.30\00:19:05.67 and sometimes keep the stress away from Adam, 00:19:05.71\00:19:09.24 I have to tell him jokes. 00:19:09.28\00:19:11.98 He does behind the scenes as well. 00:19:12.01\00:19:13.35 Yeah, behind the scene. 00:19:13.38\00:19:14.72 So when we've gone to locations, 00:19:14.75\00:19:16.08 we've had a 360 camera, 00:19:16.12\00:19:17.69 and we've released those videos also 00:19:17.72\00:19:19.22 people can kind of view a 360 video 00:19:19.25\00:19:22.42 of the Waldensian College 00:19:22.46\00:19:24.93 or, you know, famous churches and kind of involve them 00:19:24.96\00:19:29.40 and to experience it bit more so. 00:19:29.43\00:19:30.77 It gives more people to immerse more into the sceneries. 00:19:30.80\00:19:35.50 And that's one thing 00:19:35.54\00:19:36.87 because you mentioned about young people 00:19:36.91\00:19:38.44 really being interested about the sceneries 00:19:38.47\00:19:40.71 and when we started Lineage, that's exactly what we wanted, 00:19:40.74\00:19:44.38 we wanted to catch young people 00:19:44.41\00:19:46.01 with the cinematography and beautiful sceneries. 00:19:46.05\00:19:49.58 Interestingly enough when I was starting video 00:19:49.62\00:19:52.75 and when we started Lineage 00:19:52.79\00:19:54.76 that was the whole idea 00:19:54.79\00:19:56.56 because that's why you said my generation 00:19:56.59\00:20:00.16 most of us will not really read books 00:20:00.20\00:20:01.80 or listen to very long sermons. 00:20:01.83\00:20:04.70 And so that's where it started 00:20:04.73\00:20:06.57 like we wanted to reach them out 00:20:06.60\00:20:07.97 of from where they are. 00:20:08.00\00:20:11.14 Well, Jasper, let me ask you this question. 00:20:11.17\00:20:14.28 Why don't you read? No. 00:20:14.31\00:20:16.28 No, I love reading, but yeah, most of us... 00:20:16.31\00:20:17.65 No, I'm just kidding you. 00:20:17.68\00:20:19.45 As an author, it always hurts me 00:20:19.48\00:20:21.08 when I hear that younger people aren't reading, 00:20:21.12\00:20:23.02 but when your part on this, 00:20:23.05\00:20:26.55 you know, when we think about 00:20:26.59\00:20:28.56 what the Lord has made available to us now 00:20:28.59\00:20:30.83 it is so exciting 00:20:30.86\00:20:32.19 because you saw that beautiful cinematography, 00:20:32.23\00:20:35.46 but a lot of those were drone shots 00:20:35.50\00:20:37.83 and that's incredible. 00:20:37.87\00:20:39.80 So tell us you are the drone pilot as well, right? 00:20:39.83\00:20:42.77 Yeah, it was... 00:20:42.80\00:20:45.47 I started out from the Philippines 00:20:45.51\00:20:47.04 and I've never met Adam. 00:20:47.08\00:20:48.41 I've never met the whole team, so... 00:20:48.44\00:20:50.95 It's an interesting thing 00:20:50.98\00:20:52.31 how the team just came together in some ways organically, 00:20:52.35\00:20:55.65 me and Clive, and then he said, 00:20:55.68\00:20:57.99 "Oh, I know a guy in the Philippines." 00:20:58.02\00:20:59.35 But he actually didn't know, he just met him online. 00:20:59.39\00:21:01.32 They kind of conversed on, 00:21:01.36\00:21:03.02 you know, video stuff back and forth. 00:21:03.06\00:21:04.83 He said, "You want to bring him over." 00:21:04.86\00:21:06.19 I said, "If you need another hand sure bring him over." 00:21:06.23\00:21:09.00 And then we were on our way 00:21:09.03\00:21:10.37 to film in the Waldensian Valleys, 00:21:10.40\00:21:11.73 and we met him on the way, picked him up in Paris. 00:21:11.77\00:21:15.00 That's how we got to meet. 00:21:15.04\00:21:16.37 Clive met him for the first time, I did, 00:21:16.40\00:21:17.74 and it just worked out that, 00:21:17.77\00:21:19.11 you know, as a team we all kind of worked out, 00:21:19.14\00:21:20.74 you know, worked out together. 00:21:20.78\00:21:22.24 So I believe God really brought 00:21:22.28\00:21:24.08 different elements of the team together. 00:21:24.11\00:21:26.45 It's just amazing because with these talents, 00:21:26.48\00:21:30.72 I can't really... 00:21:30.75\00:21:32.09 If I get to organize this again, 00:21:32.12\00:21:33.76 it's really impossible to get a sound man, 00:21:33.79\00:21:35.76 photographer, drone pilot, everything in one, 00:21:35.79\00:21:38.86 and with one mindset, and one goal, 00:21:38.89\00:21:42.93 it's just amazing, you know. 00:21:42.96\00:21:44.43 It is. 00:21:44.47\00:21:45.80 And I flew from the Philippines. 00:21:45.83\00:21:47.40 I was a pastor 00:21:47.44\00:21:49.20 and then I quit pastoral work just to make video 00:21:49.24\00:21:51.41 because I really feel like I'm really cool 00:21:51.44\00:21:54.01 to do more films, yeah. 00:21:54.04\00:21:56.44 So how long did you pastor? 00:21:56.48\00:21:58.28 I used to be an evangelist for Amazing Facts 00:21:58.31\00:22:00.38 for two years in Indonesia, 00:22:00.42\00:22:02.28 and then a pastor for two years in Jakarta, Indonesia. 00:22:02.32\00:22:06.42 Let me ask you this question. 00:22:06.45\00:22:08.09 You know, one thing I love to go out 00:22:08.12\00:22:09.89 and speak on the weekends. 00:22:09.92\00:22:11.26 We go to, you know, different churches and speak 00:22:11.29\00:22:15.23 or camp meetings and things. 00:22:15.26\00:22:16.80 Mollie always tells me, 00:22:16.83\00:22:18.17 "But, Shelley, you can reach more people with one sermon 00:22:18.20\00:22:22.20 when it's on 3ABN," 00:22:22.24\00:22:25.34 than all of that, but I still love it, 00:22:25.37\00:22:26.94 it keeps me connected. 00:22:26.98\00:22:28.98 So essentially, Jasper, 00:22:29.01\00:22:31.11 what you found or what you felt, 00:22:31.15\00:22:33.88 I should say, 00:22:33.92\00:22:35.25 was that God was calling you into something a project 00:22:35.28\00:22:39.62 that could reach youth, reach young people 00:22:39.65\00:22:44.59 and really make a major impact on their life. 00:22:44.63\00:22:47.43 Yeah, it started when I was... 00:22:47.46\00:22:48.80 I've never studied videography. 00:22:48.83\00:22:51.77 When I was a pastor, just watch YouTube videos 00:22:51.80\00:22:54.40 of how to do things. 00:22:54.44\00:22:55.77 And there's a lot of resources in YouTube 00:22:55.80\00:22:59.11 if you have time to watch it. 00:22:59.14\00:23:00.81 So I've watched all these videos 00:23:00.84\00:23:02.71 and the first time, I actually made a major videos 00:23:02.74\00:23:06.72 was a mission trip in the Philippines, 00:23:06.75\00:23:08.68 and I had a free time to go to this beautiful island 00:23:08.72\00:23:11.69 called El Nido in the Philippines. 00:23:11.72\00:23:13.12 I filmed it for three days, 00:23:13.15\00:23:15.39 published it in a span of few months 00:23:15.42\00:23:18.16 I got close to two million views. 00:23:18.19\00:23:20.40 Wow! 00:23:20.43\00:23:21.76 And then, I realized that I could reach a lot of people 00:23:21.80\00:23:26.17 by watching my videos and making this, 00:23:26.20\00:23:28.60 you know, amazing drone shots. 00:23:28.64\00:23:30.21 You know, so I was talking to Clive, Clive's son, 00:23:30.24\00:23:34.68 Clive about making a project some day, you know. 00:23:34.71\00:23:38.35 And then he called me, and I was really interested 00:23:38.38\00:23:40.18 so then, you know what, I'm gonna go fly to Europe 00:23:40.22\00:23:42.92 and yeah, then we started a project. 00:23:42.95\00:23:44.29 Praise God. Praise God. 00:23:44.32\00:23:46.65 Now I do have to tell you one thing, 00:23:46.69\00:23:48.42 and I hope this won't disappoint you. 00:23:48.46\00:23:50.59 But we may mess up your statistics. 00:23:50.63\00:23:52.66 Right now your highest viewing demographic is aged 13 to 17, 00:23:52.69\00:23:57.67 the second highest 17 to 25. 00:23:57.70\00:24:00.14 But I imagine once you get this website information 00:24:00.17\00:24:03.91 that we may mess up your demographic 00:24:03.94\00:24:06.51 because you're probably getting... 00:24:06.54\00:24:08.04 I mean, these are... 00:24:08.08\00:24:12.01 Can we say the stories are encapsulated, 00:24:12.05\00:24:14.88 it may not be in-depth thought if you were taking. 00:24:14.92\00:24:17.49 No, it's more of a snapshot 00:24:17.52\00:24:19.92 into the history of certain characters like 00:24:19.95\00:24:23.09 John Wycliffe or Jan Hus or Martin Luther. 00:24:23.12\00:24:25.59 We aren't able to do in-depth in them. 00:24:25.63\00:24:28.90 The idea would be it introduces people 00:24:28.93\00:24:30.67 to their life and their story, 00:24:30.70\00:24:32.03 and then if they want to read more in-depth 00:24:32.07\00:24:33.94 or watch more in-depth 00:24:33.97\00:24:35.30 and there's other resources out there 00:24:35.34\00:24:36.67 that they could go to as well. 00:24:36.71\00:24:38.27 Well, I actually think it's a very clever way to do it 00:24:38.31\00:24:40.41 because that's something that a lot of people just want, 00:24:40.44\00:24:43.95 you know, give me the bullet points. 00:24:43.98\00:24:45.61 And then if I want more information, I'll look for it. 00:24:45.65\00:24:48.18 And they go for it. Our website offers it. 00:24:48.22\00:24:50.35 So it's a lot of in-depth stuff too in our website. 00:24:50.39\00:24:52.82 Wonderful. 00:24:52.85\00:24:54.19 And that's the North England Conference website. 00:24:54.22\00:24:57.63 The Lineage Journey website. 00:24:57.66\00:24:58.99 Oh, the Lineage Journey website. 00:24:59.03\00:25:00.36 There's a lot of... 00:25:00.40\00:25:01.73 Every episode on the website 00:25:01.76\00:25:03.10 has an accompanying article that's been written. 00:25:03.13\00:25:04.67 Just kind of give more detail 00:25:04.70\00:25:06.60 and then there's also additional articles, 00:25:06.63\00:25:08.74 kind of generally on the German Reformation 00:25:08.77\00:25:10.61 or the English Reformation that go even more in-depth. 00:25:10.64\00:25:14.01 And so when people go to the website, 00:25:14.04\00:25:16.04 the idea is it's kind of created a little bit like a... 00:25:16.08\00:25:19.98 Encyclopedia. 00:25:20.02\00:25:21.35 Something like that. 00:25:21.38\00:25:22.72 So that people can go there, 00:25:22.75\00:25:24.09 do some historical research as well 00:25:24.12\00:25:26.02 with the articles and kind of read up a bit more. 00:25:26.05\00:25:28.62 I know that I'm going to check it out. 00:25:28.66\00:25:31.26 It's beautiful. 00:25:31.29\00:25:32.63 But now, Clive, you've been in the church, how many years? 00:25:32.66\00:25:36.77 I am born Adventist. 00:25:36.80\00:25:38.90 You were born in an Adventist family, 00:25:38.93\00:25:41.40 you didn't become a Christian too. 00:25:41.44\00:25:42.77 You made that decision yourself, 00:25:42.80\00:25:44.31 so you can't say you were born Adventist. 00:25:44.34\00:25:47.28 At the church that I am now, 00:25:47.31\00:25:49.24 I have been in there for 47 years 00:25:49.28\00:25:51.78 the Croydon Church. 00:25:51.81\00:25:53.48 And there's something I would like to add 00:25:53.52\00:25:55.85 about the Croydon church. 00:25:55.88\00:25:57.39 Every Sabbath, they watch about 00:25:57.42\00:26:01.22 three to five Lineage episodes 00:26:01.26\00:26:04.69 and then they make group and discuss about it. 00:26:04.73\00:26:07.46 Praise God. 00:26:07.50\00:26:08.83 And also my daughter told me. 00:26:08.86\00:26:11.93 I've got a daughter in Australia. 00:26:11.97\00:26:13.64 She said, in Australia, they are teaching it, 00:26:13.67\00:26:16.64 they are showing it in different schools as well, 00:26:16.67\00:26:20.44 not only Adventist school. 00:26:20.48\00:26:22.88 Wonderful. Yes, yeah. 00:26:22.91\00:26:25.41 As I said, this is something that is so desperately needed 00:26:25.45\00:26:28.48 not all Adventist Christians know the history 00:26:28.52\00:26:31.05 the way they should, 00:26:31.09\00:26:33.12 but you find that in many churches, 00:26:33.15\00:26:36.93 the history is not known at all. 00:26:36.96\00:26:38.56 I mean, some people had no idea 00:26:38.59\00:26:39.93 what the word Protestant even stands for. 00:26:39.96\00:26:42.73 And now we're seeing movements 00:26:42.76\00:26:45.03 where people are reaching across with clasp hands 00:26:45.07\00:26:48.87 with the papacy and saying the protest is over. 00:26:48.90\00:26:52.51 So it's very important 00:26:52.54\00:26:54.68 if we ignore our history, guess what? 00:26:54.71\00:27:00.45 History will repeat itself. 00:27:00.48\00:27:02.32 And I think it's going to repeat itself, anyway, 00:27:02.35\00:27:04.59 but we need to know so we can stand firm, don't we? 00:27:04.62\00:27:07.62 Well, praise the Lord. 00:27:07.66\00:27:08.99 I think would you like to show the second episode now? 00:27:09.02\00:27:11.86 Show. 00:27:11.89\00:27:13.23 Let's look at the second episode. 00:27:13.26\00:27:14.60 And this is episode number eight. 00:27:14.63\00:27:15.96 This is number eight, it's on the Waldenses. 00:27:16.00\00:27:17.47 We've done probably about four episodes on the Waldenses 00:27:17.50\00:27:20.37 or maybe five in total. 00:27:20.40\00:27:22.90 And this one just goes into the Waldensian cave 00:27:22.94\00:27:26.61 and then if you've been to the Waldensian Valleys 00:27:26.64\00:27:28.34 and it kind of just looks at some of the aspects of them 00:27:28.38\00:27:31.88 having to use such obscure places 00:27:31.91\00:27:36.58 for places of worship, 00:27:36.62\00:27:37.95 and what the privilege that we have 00:27:37.99\00:27:39.69 not to have to do that today at the moment. 00:27:39.72\00:27:41.49 Let me ask you, who wrote the scripts, 00:27:41.52\00:27:43.79 who did the research on this and wrote the scripts? 00:27:43.83\00:27:46.96 I wrote the scripts. You wrote the scripts? 00:27:47.00\00:27:48.70 So you pretty well versed in history, 00:27:48.73\00:27:52.03 I would say 00:27:52.07\00:27:53.40 or you've become well versed in your project. 00:27:53.44\00:27:54.77 It's always been the passion of mine. 00:27:54.80\00:27:56.14 I mean, I took history when I was in high school, 00:27:56.17\00:27:57.61 and then before university I took it as well. 00:27:57.64\00:28:00.38 It's always been a passion of mine studying history, 00:28:00.41\00:28:03.35 and I've always been interested in church history 00:28:03.38\00:28:05.91 or Adventist history, Christian history. 00:28:05.95\00:28:08.08 But not as in-depth or maybe as on some other reading 00:28:08.12\00:28:11.79 or research I had to do for some of the episodes 00:28:11.82\00:28:14.29 that released this year. 00:28:14.32\00:28:15.66 So some of them I knew well, 00:28:15.69\00:28:17.46 and then, some of them it was kind of 00:28:17.49\00:28:18.96 a little bit of a new experience reading 00:28:18.99\00:28:20.53 and doing the background research. 00:28:20.56\00:28:23.16 And you've been 00:28:23.20\00:28:24.53 with the PEACE Centre for Evangelism in the past, 00:28:24.57\00:28:27.40 so you've been training people to go out and reach others. 00:28:27.44\00:28:31.67 But now this is kind of like stepping up to the plate. 00:28:31.71\00:28:37.25 I believe that we learn to teach, 00:28:37.28\00:28:40.78 and we teach to learn. 00:28:40.82\00:28:43.15 You know, there's nothing like studying and getting it, 00:28:43.18\00:28:47.42 and you're so excited, 00:28:47.46\00:28:48.79 but if you don't go out and share it with somebody, 00:28:48.82\00:28:51.06 you won't really learn it yourself. 00:28:51.09\00:28:52.63 It's just momentary so. True. 00:28:52.66\00:28:54.60 So let's look at episode number eight 00:28:54.63\00:28:56.20 on the Waldensians. 00:28:56.23\00:28:57.70 In the early centuries, 00:29:19.15\00:29:21.09 Rome would lay down the challenge 00:29:21.12\00:29:23.63 either abide by how we want you to live 00:29:23.66\00:29:26.93 or leave your place of residence 00:29:26.96\00:29:29.56 and leave your place of worship. 00:29:29.60\00:29:31.67 And the Waldensians treasured God's Word 00:29:31.70\00:29:34.64 more than they treasured their home. 00:29:34.67\00:29:36.40 And so they would leave and go up into the mountains. 00:29:36.44\00:29:39.67 Life would not have been easy here in the Waldensian Valley. 00:29:48.12\00:29:52.45 The children growing up would have had to learn very quickly 00:29:52.49\00:29:56.56 the lessons of self-sacrifice, 00:29:56.59\00:29:58.83 and self-denial, frugality, and economy. 00:29:58.86\00:30:02.86 Their parents treasured these principles from the Bible 00:30:02.90\00:30:06.84 and they wish to bestow them upon their children. 00:30:06.87\00:30:09.90 They treasure them so much that they retreated up here. 00:30:09.94\00:30:12.84 And here in the mountains, they wanted to teach two things 00:30:12.87\00:30:15.84 number one, they wanted to teach them 00:30:15.88\00:30:18.88 purity of life based on God's Word, 00:30:18.91\00:30:20.25 and number two, they wanted to teach them 00:30:20.28\00:30:22.68 to be a missionary 00:30:22.72\00:30:24.05 and take the faith that they had, 00:30:24.09\00:30:26.02 and take it further afield than just the valleys 00:30:26.05\00:30:28.62 in which they live. 00:30:28.66\00:30:29.99 And so they would have schools up here, 00:30:30.03\00:30:31.56 and they would have places of worship, 00:30:31.59\00:30:33.23 some times in cage where they could teach their children 00:30:33.26\00:30:37.07 and their young people 00:30:37.10\00:30:38.43 how they could go out as missionaries 00:30:38.47\00:30:41.10 and share this message. 00:30:41.14\00:30:42.47 To me it's encouraging to know 00:30:52.58\00:30:53.92 that even when they were scattered in the mountains, 00:30:53.95\00:30:56.52 they would still find time to worship together. 00:30:56.55\00:30:58.99 And I believe it's very important 00:30:59.02\00:31:00.52 that we today meet together 00:31:00.56\00:31:02.92 with fellow believers and worship. 00:31:02.96\00:31:06.09 But the thing that stands out to me here in this place of 00:31:06.13\00:31:09.26 that's not that pretty by earthly standards. 00:31:09.30\00:31:12.77 There's no gold plated pulpit, there's no marble table, 00:31:12.80\00:31:17.27 there's just rocks, they're wet, 00:31:17.31\00:31:19.84 but it's the quietness, and the peace, 00:31:19.87\00:31:21.74 and the simplicity, 00:31:21.78\00:31:23.11 and the purity of this place that is striking. 00:31:23.14\00:31:26.92 Is that if these Waldensians would gather here, 00:31:26.95\00:31:29.25 not just once, it wasn't just a one off, 00:31:29.28\00:31:31.25 it may have been repeatedly, it may have been over years, 00:31:31.29\00:31:33.99 or may have been even over decades 00:31:34.02\00:31:35.96 that they would gather together to worship 00:31:35.99\00:31:38.06 in caves like this that are dotted 00:31:38.09\00:31:40.06 around these mountains. 00:31:40.10\00:31:42.00 For us, church is so comfortable 00:31:42.03\00:31:44.60 or so convenient. 00:31:44.63\00:31:47.30 I've sat on the cold rock, but oftentimes in church, 00:31:47.34\00:31:50.21 we sit on nice comfy chairs. 00:31:50.24\00:31:51.97 The heating may be on, 00:31:52.01\00:31:53.34 it may just be five miles from our house 00:31:53.38\00:31:55.38 or just down the road, 00:31:55.41\00:31:56.75 and yet sometimes we think, "Ah, I'm not too keen to go." 00:31:56.78\00:32:00.22 And I think back to myself, yourself, wherever we are, 00:32:00.25\00:32:04.89 we have a time of relative peace, 00:32:04.92\00:32:06.96 a time of relative freedom 00:32:06.99\00:32:08.86 where we can gather together and worship, 00:32:08.89\00:32:11.39 where we can meet fellow believers. 00:32:11.43\00:32:13.46 And my appeal is 00:32:13.50\00:32:14.83 don't waste the opportunities that you have. 00:32:14.86\00:32:16.80 Don't be so comfortable or so convenient 00:32:16.83\00:32:20.44 that we miss the opportunities that we do have. 00:32:20.47\00:32:23.71 God has given us great opportunities now, 00:32:23.74\00:32:25.97 let's take advantage and use them, 00:32:26.01\00:32:27.71 and take this message to the world around us. 00:32:27.74\00:32:30.75 Now is that not beautiful cinematography? 00:32:53.50\00:32:55.70 That is incredible. 00:32:55.74\00:32:59.61 I don't even want to dare ask, 00:32:59.64\00:33:01.98 but the total cost of this project, 00:33:02.01\00:33:05.61 but the North England Conference 00:33:05.65\00:33:08.28 has sponsored the entire thing or who's been your sponsors? 00:33:08.32\00:33:12.05 North England Conference has... 00:33:12.09\00:33:13.42 Obviously, I work for them and they've sponsored 00:33:13.46\00:33:15.36 the bulk of the cost of the filming 00:33:15.39\00:33:17.59 for this year's season. 00:33:17.63\00:33:19.29 We've also worked in partnership with ARTV. 00:33:19.33\00:33:24.47 Clive does work with them 00:33:24.50\00:33:26.57 so they've kind of helped us out also. 00:33:26.60\00:33:28.27 And it's been a few private donors as well 00:33:28.30\00:33:29.77 that have contributed as well. 00:33:29.80\00:33:31.17 So our division as well as contributed 00:33:31.21\00:33:34.21 for some of the funding for next year's episode, 00:33:34.24\00:33:36.38 the Trans-European Division. 00:33:36.41\00:33:37.75 So there's been funding from a few different avenues 00:33:37.78\00:33:42.08 and that made it possible. 00:33:42.12\00:33:43.69 Exciting, exciting. Yeah. 00:33:43.72\00:33:45.42 Well, if you... 00:33:45.45\00:33:46.89 I don't know if they've done a jib shot yet, 00:33:46.92\00:33:49.22 a wide view of the house set, 00:33:49.26\00:33:52.36 but if they have, you've noticed 00:33:52.39\00:33:53.80 that we've had a very beautiful young lady who has joined us. 00:33:53.83\00:33:57.00 And no stranger to the team. 00:33:57.03\00:33:59.00 This is Aiko, 00:33:59.03\00:34:00.37 and she is Aiko Ramdin, I should say. 00:34:00.40\00:34:03.17 And this is Adam's wife. 00:34:03.20\00:34:04.84 How long you've been married? 00:34:04.87\00:34:06.51 Four years. Four years. 00:34:06.54\00:34:08.04 Okay. 00:34:08.08\00:34:09.41 What was your role in this project? 00:34:09.44\00:34:12.95 Mostly behind the scenes, 00:34:12.98\00:34:14.32 obviously, you don't see me in the episodes, 00:34:14.35\00:34:16.89 but supporting Adam haven't seen as much of him 00:34:16.92\00:34:21.79 during the past year as usual 00:34:21.82\00:34:25.19 because he's been researching and so forth. 00:34:25.23\00:34:28.43 Also I've been chauffeur, driving, 00:34:28.46\00:34:32.07 sometimes at crazy hours of the night. 00:34:32.10\00:34:34.10 I also volunteer helping with captioning and subtitles 00:34:34.14\00:34:40.01 working with... 00:34:40.04\00:34:41.94 All of us we volunteer for that, 00:34:41.98\00:34:43.48 and also helping with sound. 00:34:43.51\00:34:46.45 So you've been the perfect helpmate in all of these, 00:34:46.48\00:34:49.32 you wear many hats... 00:34:49.35\00:34:50.99 And I understand that. 00:34:51.02\00:34:52.62 Aiko, you were here when you were 16 years old 00:34:52.65\00:34:56.02 to do a cooking program on 3ABN. 00:34:56.06\00:34:58.46 Yeah, it's a long time ago. Isn't that exciting? 00:34:58.49\00:35:00.13 So your husband brags on your cooking 00:35:00.16\00:35:02.60 if you know that. 00:35:02.63\00:35:04.07 And I can tell he likes it, 00:35:04.10\00:35:05.80 and I didn't mean that in any bad way. 00:35:05.83\00:35:09.74 Okay, so this project is so exciting, 00:35:09.77\00:35:13.84 what was the experience 00:35:13.88\00:35:16.31 of filming this? 00:35:16.34\00:35:20.92 It's cold. 00:35:20.95\00:35:22.55 What? Cold. 00:35:22.58\00:35:23.92 It's cold. Yeah. 00:35:23.95\00:35:25.29 He came from the Philippines. Yeah. 00:35:25.32\00:35:27.66 You know, sometimes when you plan a project 00:35:27.69\00:35:29.96 and it just becomes more than you originally thought. 00:35:29.99\00:35:34.03 You don't always do things 00:35:34.06\00:35:35.40 that may have been at the best timing of the year. 00:35:35.43\00:35:36.77 Yes. 00:35:36.80\00:35:38.13 And so ideally, the ideal time to film would have been 00:35:38.17\00:35:40.27 the summer, longer days, warmer temperature. 00:35:40.30\00:35:42.80 Green trees. Green trees. 00:35:42.84\00:35:44.41 But we kind of got the idea in September 00:35:44.44\00:35:47.04 and started filming 00:35:47.08\00:35:48.41 in November, December and January. 00:35:48.44\00:35:50.95 So when Jasper says it's cold, he came from the Philippines 00:35:50.98\00:35:53.31 and we were filming in Prague one day, 00:35:53.35\00:35:55.35 and it was minus 15 Celsius. 00:35:55.38\00:35:59.79 We were outside for eight hours all day and... 00:35:59.82\00:36:02.19 That is cold. Cold. 00:36:02.22\00:36:03.59 Too cold. 00:36:03.63\00:36:04.96 I thought maybe you were being a sissy, 00:36:04.99\00:36:06.33 just because you were used to the heat 00:36:06.36\00:36:08.20 but no, that was cold. 00:36:08.23\00:36:09.76 Yeah, it was cold. 00:36:09.80\00:36:11.13 So we've had and then we were in Wittenberg in January. 00:36:11.17\00:36:14.57 And that was snowing, there's snow on the ground. 00:36:14.60\00:36:18.31 But, you know, I think that adds 00:36:18.34\00:36:19.91 a certain element to this because... 00:36:19.94\00:36:21.71 To the viewers, yeah. 00:36:21.74\00:36:23.08 Yeah, for the viewers but for you all. 00:36:23.11\00:36:24.48 So share some of your on the road experiences 00:36:24.51\00:36:27.12 because this is something unless you've ever experienced 00:36:27.15\00:36:31.79 when you're going out, 00:36:31.82\00:36:33.15 videographers or like when we send out a 3ABN team, 00:36:33.19\00:36:36.83 there is always great stories coming back 00:36:36.86\00:36:40.66 from when we're on the road. 00:36:40.70\00:36:44.57 Yeah, it's interesting because like just what I've said, 00:36:44.60\00:36:48.70 I just flew from the Philippines, and... 00:36:48.74\00:36:51.74 Not knowing anybody. 00:36:51.77\00:36:53.38 I don't know anyone, like literally. 00:36:53.41\00:36:55.68 And Clive Jr. you had only met online. 00:36:55.71\00:36:58.68 Yeah, but I've never met these people, 00:36:58.71\00:37:01.08 and I don't recommend that to people 00:37:01.12\00:37:03.49 like go to other nations and, 00:37:03.52\00:37:05.85 you know, not knowing these people and meeting them. 00:37:05.89\00:37:08.19 But yeah, there was this... 00:37:08.22\00:37:10.73 Clive and I connected a lot on the internet 00:37:10.76\00:37:13.09 and when I was starting, I asked him so many questions, 00:37:13.13\00:37:15.56 you know, that so they've seen my project 00:37:15.60\00:37:17.97 and I've seen their project, 00:37:18.00\00:37:19.33 and there's almost like a click, you know, 00:37:19.37\00:37:21.84 to like, "Okay, let's go." 00:37:21.87\00:37:23.30 And so, I think the struggle for me personally is, 00:37:23.34\00:37:27.21 it was too cold, 00:37:27.24\00:37:28.58 it was literally too cold for me, 00:37:28.61\00:37:29.98 and there's no rice most of the time. 00:37:30.01\00:37:32.61 You know, I'm a ricey boy, I'm a Filipino. 00:37:32.65\00:37:34.85 We were in Europe and he'd come over, 00:37:34.88\00:37:36.32 and after four days, we will be eating, 00:37:36.35\00:37:37.75 you know, sandwiches or going out and eat 00:37:37.79\00:37:39.22 in different places, 00:37:39.25\00:37:40.59 and he said, "Man, I am sick and tired 00:37:40.62\00:37:43.39 of this European food. 00:37:43.43\00:37:44.76 I need some rice." 00:37:44.79\00:37:46.36 Tired of pizza, pasta, I'm getting tired of it. 00:37:46.39\00:37:49.33 So we went and bought a rice cooker, 00:37:49.36\00:37:50.70 so he could, you know, have his rice. 00:37:50.73\00:37:54.24 Survive. So caring. 00:37:54.27\00:37:56.10 By the way a lot of the filming has been early, 00:37:56.14\00:37:57.87 you probably know early mornings, late nights, 00:37:57.91\00:38:01.34 and then a lot of the shots like 00:38:01.38\00:38:02.71 we did in London or different cities, 00:38:02.74\00:38:04.15 we want to get the shots before the crowds come. 00:38:04.18\00:38:06.61 And so we've got to get there, 00:38:06.65\00:38:07.98 you know, 4 o'clock, 5 o'clock, 6 o'clock and... 00:38:08.02\00:38:11.85 When it's really bitterly cold... 00:38:11.89\00:38:13.39 When it's cold, when it's early, 00:38:13.42\00:38:15.22 and you're tired. 00:38:15.26\00:38:16.59 So a lot of that has gone into it 00:38:16.62\00:38:18.66 behind the scenes that people, 00:38:18.69\00:38:20.03 you know, they don't see but... 00:38:20.06\00:38:21.93 And I think as well, since it was kind of planned 00:38:21.96\00:38:24.63 as it was happening, 00:38:24.67\00:38:26.94 we didn't have the time to take, 00:38:26.97\00:38:30.11 you know, days and days to film. 00:38:30.14\00:38:32.37 And also another aspect is that many of the members of the team 00:38:32.41\00:38:37.45 are just volunteers so some of them took holiday 00:38:37.48\00:38:40.28 or vacation time to come. 00:38:40.32\00:38:42.28 So we had to squeeze as much as we could 00:38:42.32\00:38:44.75 into a short period of time 00:38:44.79\00:38:46.65 which meant sometimes driving all through the night, 00:38:46.69\00:38:49.02 and just trying to pack everything in to do it in time. 00:38:49.06\00:38:52.76 Let me tell you something 00:38:52.79\00:38:54.13 that is our standard mode of operation. 00:38:54.16\00:38:56.90 Yeah, like two of our guys, they work for Apple day, 00:38:56.93\00:38:59.20 you know, that's their full time job, 00:38:59.23\00:39:00.70 so they took a day off or took two days off 00:39:00.74\00:39:02.84 and we want to get as much filming in that day as possible 00:39:02.87\00:39:06.21 because they're there on those days 00:39:06.24\00:39:08.01 and so that's kind of been challenging. 00:39:08.04\00:39:11.65 We understand completely because at 3ABN, 00:39:11.68\00:39:14.55 you know, if there's one thing we could use 00:39:14.58\00:39:16.28 would be more staff. 00:39:16.32\00:39:17.82 And everybody here wears multiple hats 00:39:17.85\00:39:20.26 and works early and late hours, so... 00:39:20.29\00:39:22.72 One of our biggest challenges 00:39:22.76\00:39:24.09 was the film we did in Europe, in France. 00:39:24.13\00:39:27.43 And so we flew down there, there was eight of us, 00:39:27.46\00:39:29.23 we flew down there, 00:39:29.26\00:39:30.60 we were filming an episode 00:39:30.63\00:39:31.97 that will actually be coming out shortly 00:39:32.00\00:39:33.34 on a French lady called Marie Durand, 00:39:33.37\00:39:35.64 and then we went to the Waldensian Valleys. 00:39:35.67\00:39:37.57 And we were around there for two days 00:39:37.61\00:39:40.08 and we flew down there budget airlines in Europe. 00:39:40.11\00:39:44.25 I won't mention the airline, 00:39:44.28\00:39:45.65 but anyway, they lost one of our bags 00:39:45.68\00:39:48.25 and the one bag that they lost 00:39:48.28\00:39:49.78 had the clothes of two of the team members in it 00:39:49.82\00:39:53.42 and the tripod. 00:39:53.46\00:39:54.79 Oh, no. 00:39:54.82\00:39:56.16 And I think also the batteries for the camera. 00:39:56.19\00:39:59.46 And so we're there in France, the next flight doesn't come in 00:39:59.49\00:40:02.23 until two days time 00:40:02.26\00:40:03.60 when we were scheduled to fly back. 00:40:03.63\00:40:05.43 So we had to find a tripod 00:40:05.47\00:40:07.90 and luckily we were with hosted by a French youth director 00:40:07.94\00:40:11.51 from the conference down there. 00:40:11.54\00:40:13.11 He took us to the conference, we borrowed a tripod, 00:40:13.14\00:40:15.18 it was a lot bigger than ours so a lot heavier to carry, 00:40:15.21\00:40:16.95 but we praise the Lord for anyway. 00:40:16.98\00:40:18.91 And then we were able to rent 00:40:18.95\00:40:20.28 some batteries from a shop in town, 00:40:20.32\00:40:21.85 in terms of the clothing 00:40:21.88\00:40:23.22 that they just kind of had to struggle on, 00:40:23.25\00:40:25.35 you know, in what they had for a couple of days. 00:40:25.39\00:40:27.66 But that was I guess one of a tough challenge 00:40:27.69\00:40:32.63 with lack of clothing, and tripods, and things, 00:40:32.66\00:40:35.70 and been on a tight schedule also. 00:40:35.73\00:40:37.07 Through it all, that was so good because He had us like 00:40:37.10\00:40:39.90 meet the right people 00:40:39.93\00:40:41.27 or had the right people involved in that trip 00:40:41.30\00:40:45.44 that we couldn't have done without. 00:40:45.47\00:40:46.88 So God was in charge, and even though it was tough 00:40:46.91\00:40:49.88 maybe we needed it for our development 00:40:49.91\00:40:52.95 or something or just to see Him work. 00:40:52.98\00:40:56.08 You know, I think God takes us or guides us 00:40:56.12\00:40:59.09 through these experiences 00:40:59.12\00:41:00.46 and there's always lessons that we've learned 00:41:00.49\00:41:02.26 about ourselves and about others. 00:41:02.29\00:41:04.09 What are some of the... 00:41:04.13\00:41:05.46 Jasper, what are some of the lessons you learned? 00:41:05.49\00:41:08.00 Well, I think the number one lessons 00:41:08.03\00:41:11.60 that I've learned about this is to trust God fully. 00:41:11.63\00:41:13.97 Amen. 00:41:14.00\00:41:15.34 Because these guys, they live in England 00:41:15.37\00:41:17.84 which is how many hours away? 00:41:17.87\00:41:19.21 Two hours? 00:41:19.24\00:41:20.74 Flight? Oh, from Europe? 00:41:20.78\00:41:22.11 Yeah? Yeah. 00:41:22.14\00:41:23.48 Yeah. 00:41:23.51\00:41:24.85 Mine is like, what 10 hours, 12 hours, 00:41:24.88\00:41:26.38 and they go, come and go, 00:41:26.41\00:41:28.95 and it will be super expensive for me 00:41:28.98\00:41:30.35 to go back and forth from Europe. 00:41:30.39\00:41:32.82 And then I need to stay in Europe. 00:41:32.85\00:41:35.02 But one thing about Lineage 00:41:35.06\00:41:36.39 is that we're not paid to do this. 00:41:36.42\00:41:37.76 Yes. 00:41:37.79\00:41:39.13 So these are voluntary work. 00:41:39.16\00:41:41.00 So I need to stay in Europe... It's the labor of love. 00:41:41.03\00:41:43.23 Yeah, you need to stay in Europe 00:41:43.26\00:41:44.60 for three months without pay. 00:41:44.63\00:41:46.87 But, you know, the Lord has provided places for me to stay, 00:41:46.90\00:41:51.31 you know, because I can only eat when they're around 00:41:51.34\00:41:55.84 and if they're not around, 00:41:55.88\00:41:57.21 then I have to find my own food and stuff like that, 00:41:57.25\00:41:58.91 and just the places there. 00:41:58.95\00:42:00.65 So Lord has provided people who I've never met. 00:42:00.68\00:42:02.82 They let you keep the rice cooker with you, don't they? 00:42:02.85\00:42:05.12 No, they always bring it. 00:42:05.15\00:42:07.46 It's always, I live with a small luggage, 00:42:07.49\00:42:10.26 very small luggage. 00:42:10.29\00:42:11.63 I can't fit anything that is... 00:42:11.66\00:42:13.80 If I were you, I'd be carrying that rice cooker 00:42:13.83\00:42:17.13 under my arm, wherever I would... 00:42:17.17\00:42:18.50 Yeah. So the secret is to stay with Filipinos in Europe. 00:42:18.53\00:42:20.24 Yeah. 00:42:20.27\00:42:21.87 And get that rice. Yeah. 00:42:21.90\00:42:24.21 What, I know that as you have researched this 00:42:24.24\00:42:28.11 and probably, Aiko, for you as well 00:42:28.14\00:42:32.18 how much have you learned through this experience 00:42:32.21\00:42:34.55 about the history that you didn't know? 00:42:34.58\00:42:36.52 We think we know it till you really start getting into it. 00:42:36.55\00:42:39.35 There is so much more that I've learned. 00:42:39.39\00:42:42.09 And not just, I mean, you can read books and learn, 00:42:42.12\00:42:47.40 but there's something about being able to see the places 00:42:47.43\00:42:50.63 that they were, you know, lived in, 00:42:50.67\00:42:54.60 experiencing the winter there. 00:42:54.64\00:42:56.87 And that helps you to get a deeper understanding 00:42:56.91\00:43:00.54 of just how tough it was, 00:43:00.58\00:43:03.38 and how strong they were not just... 00:43:03.41\00:43:07.55 And it wasn't just their own strength, 00:43:07.58\00:43:09.08 there had to be the strength that God gave them. 00:43:09.12\00:43:13.22 And so like not just the book learning 00:43:13.25\00:43:18.39 through the research and things 00:43:18.43\00:43:20.00 that have gone into the scripts and we have learned around it, 00:43:20.03\00:43:23.80 but just a deeper understanding of the experience. 00:43:23.83\00:43:27.97 And our small little inconveniences 00:43:28.00\00:43:31.77 on the filming trips, 00:43:31.81\00:43:33.14 and sometimes going all day just filming without eating 00:43:33.17\00:43:36.24 because we had to, 00:43:36.28\00:43:37.61 you know, make the most of all the daylight or whatever. 00:43:37.65\00:43:40.12 Those are just pale and insignificance 00:43:40.15\00:43:44.82 compared to what they had to face, 00:43:44.85\00:43:47.16 and what they lived with every day 00:43:47.19\00:43:49.62 of their lives some of them. 00:43:49.66\00:43:50.99 Absolutely. 00:43:51.03\00:43:52.36 But the experience is really valuable, 00:43:52.39\00:43:54.03 like when you read it from the book, 00:43:54.06\00:43:55.50 it's, you're blown away, 00:43:55.53\00:43:57.60 but when you're there, 00:43:57.63\00:43:58.97 like, especially in episode that would be released, 00:43:59.00\00:44:00.54 supposed to be this week. 00:44:00.57\00:44:01.90 Are we releasing that episode? 00:44:01.94\00:44:03.27 Yeah, we are releasing episode called Massacre at Castelluzzo 00:44:03.30\00:44:06.37 where we climbed up two-hour hike, 00:44:06.41\00:44:09.81 going up to the mountain 00:44:09.84\00:44:11.18 and this mountain is where they drop people off. 00:44:11.21\00:44:13.92 If they don't recant, I mean, their faith 00:44:13.95\00:44:16.55 and they'll be dropped off, and I was standing there. 00:44:16.58\00:44:18.92 And when you say we, 00:44:18.95\00:44:20.29 there's people who are watching right now 00:44:20.32\00:44:21.82 who have no idea what we're talking about, 00:44:21.86\00:44:23.83 who's the we that were persecuting these Christians 00:44:23.86\00:44:28.10 that had basically 00:44:28.13\00:44:32.40 split from the papacy 00:44:32.43\00:44:35.54 and they were following sola scriptura, 00:44:35.57\00:44:38.44 sola gratia by grace alone, 00:44:38.47\00:44:40.98 just Bible and the Bible only, sola gratia. 00:44:41.01\00:44:43.88 The grace and grace alone, sola, 00:44:43.91\00:44:46.85 you know, talking about Christos, 00:44:46.88\00:44:48.98 only Jesus can save. 00:44:49.02\00:44:50.85 So there's this group of people 00:44:50.89\00:44:53.46 that who have separated from the papacy, 00:44:53.49\00:44:56.42 from the error of the pastor into the Bible 00:44:56.46\00:44:58.99 because the Bible was now becoming available to them. 00:44:59.03\00:45:02.73 And here they are, they're being marched up 00:45:02.76\00:45:05.83 this mountain by whom? 00:45:05.87\00:45:08.50 By the Roman soldier, 00:45:08.54\00:45:09.87 the Catholic Church technically. 00:45:09.90\00:45:11.54 It was the Jesuit order of the Roman Catholic Church 00:45:11.57\00:45:14.11 and they were then... 00:45:14.14\00:45:15.54 If they didn't recant... 00:45:15.58\00:45:17.21 They'll push. And then... 00:45:17.25\00:45:18.68 Off they went. 00:45:18.71\00:45:20.05 Yeah, our team stood up there, 00:45:20.08\00:45:21.42 and for me, it was very emotional, 00:45:21.45\00:45:23.35 you know, I was trying to hide my tears, 00:45:23.39\00:45:27.06 but I was really like, "Wow! 00:45:27.09\00:45:28.89 This is like, what if I'm here, what will I do? 00:45:28.92\00:45:32.19 Will I recant?" 00:45:32.23\00:45:33.83 Especially, if you see them, 00:45:33.86\00:45:35.20 I mean, they didn't care about age. 00:45:35.23\00:45:36.80 It was women and children and if a man is sitting there 00:45:36.83\00:45:40.64 and they're saying, recant, you know, 00:45:40.67\00:45:43.64 and come back to the papacy. 00:45:43.67\00:45:46.81 If he's watching them... 00:45:46.84\00:45:48.51 If you don't recant, off go your children, 00:45:48.54\00:45:51.11 off go your wife, that would be a tough thing. 00:45:51.15\00:45:53.75 Yeah. 00:45:53.78\00:45:55.35 I think seeing the places where, 00:45:55.38\00:45:57.55 as my wife said, 00:45:57.59\00:45:58.92 just experiencing where they were, 00:45:58.95\00:46:00.99 it makes a big impact on you 00:46:01.02\00:46:02.69 because you're like, you know, in this room this happened 00:46:02.72\00:46:04.89 or, you know, in this valley, this happened 00:46:04.93\00:46:07.86 or people made a stand here. 00:46:07.90\00:46:09.93 And it's to me that sounds a lot 00:46:09.96\00:46:12.53 that you can actually walk in their footsteps 00:46:12.57\00:46:14.70 and be where they are. 00:46:14.74\00:46:16.77 For me a big lesson that stood out to me 00:46:16.81\00:46:22.04 as I was doing the research and traveling and filming 00:46:22.08\00:46:25.35 was how many of the reformers were young? 00:46:25.38\00:46:27.78 You know, we always think... 00:46:27.82\00:46:29.52 At least I, not others, I always thought 00:46:29.55\00:46:31.89 when you look at the pictures 00:46:31.92\00:46:33.25 and most of the pictures are paintings 00:46:33.29\00:46:34.62 or they're black and white, 00:46:34.66\00:46:35.99 you're like, oh, John Wycliffe old, 00:46:36.02\00:46:37.63 you know, William Tyndale old 00:46:37.66\00:46:39.13 because the pictures look old, 00:46:39.16\00:46:40.63 and I mean that's not the way we do pictures today. 00:46:40.66\00:46:43.20 You just assume that there were old, 00:46:43.23\00:46:44.57 60, 70, 80, whatever 90-year old people. 00:46:44.60\00:46:48.97 And they were as a young person would say, they were older. 00:46:49.00\00:46:54.74 When I actually started the research and realize that, 00:46:54.78\00:46:57.05 you know, Martin Luther was only 34 00:46:57.08\00:46:58.85 when he nailed the 95 theses 00:46:58.88\00:47:00.48 to the door of near the Cathedral in Wittenberg, 00:47:00.52\00:47:02.88 and William Tyndale translated the Bible 00:47:02.92\00:47:05.72 into the English language in his 30s. 00:47:05.75\00:47:08.29 That is surprising. 00:47:08.32\00:47:09.66 And John Hus was 31 when he was the, 00:47:09.69\00:47:11.69 you know, the pastor 00:47:11.73\00:47:13.06 of the Bethlehem Chapel in Prague. 00:47:13.09\00:47:14.43 And you start, wow, these guys 00:47:14.46\00:47:16.67 they did most of their significant work 00:47:16.70\00:47:18.43 in their 20s and 30s. 00:47:18.47\00:47:20.37 And we often don't emphasize that, 00:47:20.40\00:47:24.24 and for me that kind of stood out 00:47:24.27\00:47:25.61 as I was looking at all these reformers 00:47:25.64\00:47:26.98 one after the other, 00:47:27.01\00:47:28.34 that their big work that they did in their life 00:47:28.38\00:47:31.38 was often earlier in their life. 00:47:31.41\00:47:33.25 That's, you know, actually that is fascinating 00:47:33.28\00:47:34.98 because usually you see them portrayed by men 00:47:35.02\00:47:37.29 who are in their 50s, 40s and 50s. 00:47:37.32\00:47:39.72 So that is very impressive. Yeah. 00:47:39.75\00:47:41.09 So to me that really stood out that these were younger people 00:47:41.12\00:47:44.96 going against the grain, 00:47:44.99\00:47:46.49 and the other thing that stood out to me 00:47:46.53\00:47:47.86 was none of these men or women planned to be great reformers. 00:47:47.90\00:47:52.90 Yes. 00:47:52.93\00:47:54.27 They just wanted to be faithful, 00:47:54.30\00:47:55.64 but they never planned, 00:47:55.67\00:47:57.01 I'm going to take on the church, 00:47:57.04\00:47:58.37 or I'm going to change, or I'm going to reform, 00:47:58.41\00:47:59.74 I'm going to start a new denomination. 00:47:59.77\00:48:01.11 They just wanted to be faithful to God's Word. 00:48:01.14\00:48:03.21 It took them on that train, 00:48:03.24\00:48:05.01 but I mean, the trajectory 00:48:05.05\00:48:06.85 but they never planned that way. 00:48:06.88\00:48:08.78 They just wanted to be faithful and... 00:48:08.82\00:48:11.39 But may I say truly, when you think about it, 00:48:11.42\00:48:14.22 you didn't plan it to be touching 00:48:14.26\00:48:17.36 so many nations with this project. 00:48:17.39\00:48:19.73 Your plan... 00:48:19.76\00:48:21.26 And I think God does this, He gives us an idea, 00:48:21.30\00:48:24.03 He doesn't show us everything 00:48:24.07\00:48:25.73 'cause we'd be overwhelmed otherwise, 00:48:25.77\00:48:27.57 but He'll give us something, 00:48:27.60\00:48:28.94 and when we're faithful in the little things, 00:48:28.97\00:48:31.27 He starts expanding it and same here. 00:48:31.31\00:48:34.28 I just want to say very briefly 00:48:34.31\00:48:35.68 because I want to get their address roll 00:48:35.71\00:48:38.25 out for you to see, 00:48:38.28\00:48:39.61 but this project we're going to have a special 3ABN website 00:48:39.65\00:48:44.59 will be launching in the near future 00:48:44.62\00:48:46.15 with little shorts to reach people your age, Jasper. 00:48:46.19\00:48:50.03 So we're looking forward to having this on that website. 00:48:50.06\00:48:53.63 And if you don't know this, 00:48:53.66\00:48:55.43 if you live in the British Isles, 00:48:55.46\00:48:57.60 and if you don't know this information, 00:48:57.63\00:48:59.40 you need to tell everybody at your church this information 00:48:59.43\00:49:02.94 is that 3ABN is now being broadcast on free view, 00:49:02.97\00:49:09.11 and that's VisionTV channel 264. 00:49:09.14\00:49:12.78 So all across the British Isles, 00:49:12.81\00:49:15.25 you don't have to have a mySDA box or a Roku. 00:49:15.28\00:49:18.89 You can see 3ABN on free view, VisionTV channel 264. 00:49:18.92\00:49:25.69 We want to just give me about a minute and a half here. 00:49:25.73\00:49:32.63 What positive testimonies have you heard? 00:49:32.67\00:49:35.50 Oh, there's been several that have come in. 00:49:35.54\00:49:38.24 One that stands out to me have been... 00:49:38.27\00:49:40.78 Let me share with you two, one was from a schoolteacher 00:49:40.81\00:49:43.14 that we recently got in British Columbia. 00:49:43.18\00:49:44.85 She said, "I'm a schoolteacher in an Adventist school, 00:49:44.88\00:49:47.78 but 90% of my students are non-Adventists 00:49:47.82\00:49:49.88 or even Christian." 00:49:49.92\00:49:51.25 And she says, she shows the Lineage videos, 00:49:51.29\00:49:53.62 and I forget which class, the history class maybe, 00:49:53.66\00:49:55.96 and says, the kids really look forward to it. 00:49:55.99\00:49:57.86 And she said, the students like 13 to 14, 00:49:57.89\00:50:00.93 and she's really encouraged by watching non-Adventist, 00:50:00.96\00:50:04.30 non-Christian children that are excited to learn 00:50:04.33\00:50:07.34 about the story of the Christian church. 00:50:07.37\00:50:09.67 And we've had several other teachers 00:50:09.70\00:50:11.04 that have sent us similar messages 00:50:11.07\00:50:12.77 that they've been watching it as well. 00:50:12.81\00:50:14.68 Another one that stands out was, 00:50:14.71\00:50:16.04 I was in California recently 00:50:16.08\00:50:18.01 and a man came up to me and he said, 00:50:18.05\00:50:19.68 "I want to thank you for these videos." 00:50:19.71\00:50:21.18 And he said, "My wife and I 00:50:21.22\00:50:23.18 have started studying the Bible together 00:50:23.22\00:50:25.45 as a married couple because of watching these videos," 00:50:25.49\00:50:29.12 these Lineage videos 00:50:29.16\00:50:30.59 that it really brought them together 00:50:30.63\00:50:32.53 and it gave them a basis from then to study God's Word. 00:50:32.56\00:50:35.20 And that was really encouraging to see the, 00:50:35.23\00:50:37.47 you know, oftentimes we look at the stats or the views 00:50:37.50\00:50:40.04 or we look at the videos on this side, 00:50:40.07\00:50:41.40 but to see the human impact on the other side. 00:50:41.44\00:50:43.97 And to hear, you know, a personal testimony of, 00:50:44.01\00:50:46.34 you know, a married couple, 00:50:46.37\00:50:47.81 you know, coming together to study God's Word 00:50:47.84\00:50:49.44 based after they had watched several of the videos 00:50:49.48\00:50:51.71 was really encouraging. 00:50:51.75\00:50:53.08 Amen. 00:50:53.11\00:50:54.45 Well, we're going to come back in just a moment 00:50:54.48\00:50:55.82 for a final thought from you, 00:50:55.85\00:50:57.19 but what I'd like to do is to put up the information 00:50:57.22\00:51:00.99 and you can see all, there is 46 or so up right now?
