was talking about a camp

where people could come

and he could teach
them how to study the Bible.

And he said, "If only somebody
could run this camp for me."

And Calvin just
raised his hand and said,

"I could do it for
you. I'll do everything.

And so through much
prayer and God's leading,

put together a team

so we can learn to

so excited about a camp

where people could
be taught to do this

months out of our lives,

it was hard to do that,
but to have on Wednesday

from these wonderful

We were just
thrilled to be a part of that.

And so that's how it
started, it was in 2008.

and we didn't know how
many people would show up.

And it just kept
adding and adding,

and by the time camp started,
we had 300 people registered.

tremendous blessing,

we saw that God had just
opened the door wide open

relentless emphasis

I feel ARME is
really equipping us

to be able to get in the Word

rightly divide the word

strategies and tools to study.

And ARME gives practical
skills something that I love

that there are things at ARME

bringing their children

very biblical emphasis,

believe that that happened.

is, I was raised Adventist.

spent in the Bible.

I can remember I tried once

'cause I'd heard about
people praying all night long.

And I tried to see
how long I could pray.

And the longest I
could pray was five minutes.

I just didn't understand
how people could spend

so much time in prayer.

but I've always

And now I discover what it

overcome addictions,

I remember this young man
came to us that he was smoking,

He was 21, couldn't quit.

the prayer room to pray

that God would really
give him victory over this.

But that was just
kind of a funny side light.

and his wife
truly saw the change,

and saw that he was
studying his Bible every morning

that his character had softened.

And their marriage
really just became alive again.

And they actually renewed

sure about coming to this camp.

their parents
convicted them to come.

we didn't know if
this was a man or a woman.

that had been

for 15 or so years.
