letter of the law,

we don't just say outwardly,

"Okay, we don't
commit adultery."

But God looks at the thoughts
and the intent of the heart.

We don't say, "I'm not
gonna go out and kill someone."

God looks at if I
have hatred in my heart.

So at the end of all
of that, we see Matthew 5,

in this verse every time I
read it, it kind of gets me.

heard that it was said,

You shall love your
neighbor and hate your enemy.

But I say to you,
love your enemies..."

So what would you tell
them? What could they do?

Well, I, you know,
personal experience, I guess,

I have to go there of people

that I didn't
like, I didn't love,

and I didn't want
God to bless them.

But I had to ask the Lord

to put His love
in my heart for them.

And when He removed
because that's what God does.

He takes our inabilities
and He gives us His abilities.

and gives us His strength.

we will yield to Him,

I had a close friend

wanted me to lie for her,

and I wouldn't, I refused.

And so what happened was
that she got very angry at me

and she goes
well, "If you don't,

you know, lie for me,

if you don't,
you know, covers me,

then I will bring you down."

And I made the statement.

I said, "Well, you know,

I'm not ashamed of
anything I've done."

And the words that
she spat back at me

were so stinging.

People just have to think it.
