00:01 When I pastored in New York City,
00:02 it was my privilege 00:04 to chair the board of Northeastern Academy. 00:05 It's an urban academy, a day academy. 00:08 And we tried to encourage our young people 00:12 to really step out for the Lord. 00:14 I can recall we took a couple of Maranatha trips, 00:16 one to Panama, one to the Dominican Republic. 00:20 And I saw the young people throw themselves 00:22 into the work of God. 00:23 I saw the energy, the love for the Lord, 00:26 and even those who were lukewarm 00:30 as the trip began. 00:32 By the time we are on the way home 00:33 they had found a new love for the Lord 00:35 and a new dedication to His will and to His way. 00:39 And that is why we're so pleased 00:41 to see the kinds of things that are being done 00:43 at schools like Ouachita Hills. 00:45 Take our young people to motivate them, 00:48 to give them a sense of calling, 00:50 a sense of mission. 00:52 And then have them to walk in that calling 00:54 and into that mission, 00:55 really gives them a boost in life 00:58 and focuses them on the things of God. 01:01 We had a young woman, young girl some years ago, 01:04 who actually went and did a mission trip 01:06 and we found out on the way back 01:08 that she had a tumor. 01:10 And the doctor said, "How could she function 01:12 with this tumor in her brain 01:13 and she functions so beautifully." 01:16 And we believe was the power of the Lord. 01:17 Well, God does mighty things for us 01:20 when we seek to do mighty things for Him. 01:22 These young people at Ouachita 01:24 have gotten and will get an experience 01:27 that cannot be duplicated. 01:29 And I will dare say to you, parents, who may be watching, 01:31 you got young people 01:33 who are not sure of their calling, 01:35 not sure of where they're going. 01:36 Send them on a mission trip, 01:38 or send them to one of these schools 01:40 that helps them put their faith in the action. 01:43 And their faith will grow stronger. 01:45 Well, our time is fast slipped to eternity. 01:47 Allow me in closing to wish you both grace and peace 01:50 through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 01:52 We'll see you again soon.
